Warning: Bruce Wayne Angst
This is my first post that isn't a reblog
I swear: I am mainly skin and bones so
Please don't eat me if this isn't to your tastes
There was a young man, completely white hair yet in his late twenties, humming softly while digging up Jason’s- his son’s grave and Batman-the Monster-Bruce or whoever he was now could barely hear the soft-spoken words over the rushing of blood in his ears.
“Ooh Death, Oooh Death, Ooh Death”
Bruce- he didn’t remember what happened: one moment he was walking towards his son, he can’t bring himself to think of it as just a grave after only one month, h- he can’t. The next, the bottle of brandy was being flung at the man’s head as he sung:
“Won’t you spare me over another year?”
The bottle shattered on impact as Bruce tackled him after just a few seconds.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” he snarled as he fisted the man’s collar with trembling hands.
The man blinked sharp green eyes at him, distantly Bruce knew that he should’ve been concussed with the force of impact with the bottle, even more distantly he saw the similarity of the color of his eyes with toxic waters. None of these observations mattered to him as much as connecting his fist to the man’s face. But it didn’t, his fist just passed through his head like it was made of air.
The man looked at him in confusion for a second before understanding dawned on him, then he just stood up and walked through Bruce towards his son.
Bruce scrambled to get up, to run towards him, to stop him from picking the shovel back up but a hand on his chest stopped him from getting too close.
“You failed him so spectacularly, didn’t you?” the man said, green eyes unwavering from his own.
A snarl of anger rose up his throat. He wanted to scream, to spit out the venom corroding him from the inside but Bruce didn’t.
Under the gaze of those eyes, instead of vitriol, a sob escaped his lips and once the first one found its way out, the others followed. A month of fake (real) tears for the media, of fake (real yet empty) strength and control (so useless) for his broken family. Broken first and foremost because of him. A month of pushing everything but anger down. Meaningless, because his son was gone.
Tears fell, sobs became wails as his knees gave out, as he clawed at his chest where his heart was: trying to touch, to prod the pain he couldn’t bear but didn’t want to get rid of.
The man crouched in front of him, gaze steady as he said: “Suffer”
And Bruce- Bruce did, was, is.
Then he found himself being pulled up to his feet as the man handed him the shovel.
“Dig” he said.
Ice pooled at his stomach, so cold it burnt him: “N-NO, please”, but the man squeezed his shoulder, looked Bruce in the eyes: “Dig and maybe he’ll give you a second chance”
Logically, there was no reason for hope to bloom in his chest, this was a trick, a sick joke, a scheme a-
“Listen” the man uttered as a command and he did. He strained his hearing for what seemed like eternity. He heard muffled pounding of fist on wood.
His eyes landed on the hole on ground where his son was resting just half a meter under and with blood rushing in his ears once more, he flung himself to it and started digging frantically.
The swirling blur that was his everything settled as Jason shot out of his casket once it was opened and into Bruce’s arms.
Bruce rocked them back and forth. Jason, Jason, JASON. His mind repeated on loop.
The man came close with a vial of something green in hand and Bruce tensed, his arms tightening around his son.
“This will help” he said handing it over to him.
As he was leaving, he turned one last time to them:
“Suffer, remember and do not fail him again”

Fighting for Friendship
So Danny ends up in Gotham, how is up to u, but he is put in the same class as Damian.
Now Gotham is weird. Amity Park is weird to. But they r two different kinds of weird. Like Amity park is the “oh ur a bit weird, cool, so is everyone” kinda weird where Gotham is the “wait ur weird?? Fuck ur gonna be a rogue ain’t u?? Get tf away from me. Go have ur villain origin story over there” kinda weird.
So Danny can’t really make any friends bc he’s weird weird. Tho he’s not the only one in his class with this problem. The other guy, Damian Wayne, mainly sticks to himself and seems to be the only sane person in this school. Well, to Danny at least. This made Danny want to befriend him. Even if only to not be alone in his suffering. More than that Danny can feel the traces of ectoplasm on him! Even more reason for him to be friend shaped.
The problem is Damian seems to be in denial about his friend shapeness. Well to bad for him if Danny is one thing it’s stubborn. But dammit Damian seems to be a new level of stubborn. Nothing Danny does works!! It’s almost like this kid is from a different world or at least a different time!! Before he gives up however he has one last attempt. All or nothing!!
So he spends an inter week annoying the fuck outta Damian!! Looks it’s not a smart plan but it is a desperate one. It is also a plan that works a bit better than expected!!
He started his plan on Monday and it took til Friday for Damian to crack. After a full day of maximum annoyance Danny started following Damian home. They made it several blocks before Damian dragged him into a nearby alley and started swinging.
Now this Danny understood!!!
The universal language of ghost, Violence!!!
So the two beat the shit out of each other and r pretty evenly matched. Both of them r on even levels when it comes to speed and battle awareness and while Damian is definitely the better trained Danny is stronger and more durable. Needless to say the fight goes on for awhile.
A few hours later Damian and Danny shuffle into Wayne manor looking like they lost a fight with a wood chipper and when Bruce goes to ask what happen Danny just smiles and goes- We’re friends now
With Damian nodding in agreement

Phantom's Number 1 Fan Part 3
John Constantine calls a joint Justice League and Justice League Dark meeting.
It's not something he wants to do. He barely works with the LJD, but at least that lot understands his work and knows what to do and where to go.
The JL members always ask questions and forget proper manners when working with the paranormal- John isn't the most well-mannered bloke around, but even he knows to permanently say goodbye to ghosts so that they don't follow him home- and it's like trying to teach an intern while dodging bullets.
He prefers to avoid the whole origination, especially since Bruce's death; everyone has been walking on eggshells, and there is a sense of disorganization drenched in grief that John breaks into hives just thinking about, but this is big.
Bigger than he can handle it on his own or with just the JLD. Even if the whole group gives the bats not-so-stable glances as they filter in.
John notices that one of Batman's brats is missing- the smart one- but he has heard that the kid suffered some kind of psychotic break from his father's death. It's sad, really, mainly because John used to believe that the third Robin was the one with the good head on his shoulders.
What's worse is that the Third Robin up and ran off, having gone off the grid when he refused to accept Batman's death. The boy hadn't said anything besides, "The portraits told me!" after having a miniature breakdown in his home.
It didn't help that around this time, the boy teammates had all dropped like flies except for one. So yes, John knows it wasn't a big surprise that he lost it, but it was still sad to see. Kid is only seventeen.
He hopes they find him soon to give him the help he needs. John would offer a spell to try and find him, but he needs to learn about the kid better, which means his spell can only point in a general direction.
Nightwing looked downright ragged, but losing a father on the battlefield and a younger brother to his grief did a number on anyone.
John hates himself just a little for dragging the grieving family here. He does, but again, this is bigger than all of them. This is a matter of life and death- literally.
"Listen up. We have a bloody level ten on its way to Earth if it's not already here." His words cut through the muttering crowd, shutting everyone up. A level ten makes even the big, lousy Superman sweat. He snaps his fingers, allowing his magic to shift into the image of a King Phantom sitting on his throne- painted in the early 1200s and the picture that can be used to identify him.
The art style would have been almost modern if it wasn't for the unease that the painting could cause due to the glowing green from his majesty's portrait. They say the green was ectoplasm from the king himself- and that alone should warn others to not mess with him.
Everyone Justice League Dark member hissed through their teeth, sitting up straighter and a few even pale. John is once again grateful that they understand just how deep in shit they genuinely are.
"This is the Ghost King. He is not to be confused with a god or king of gods. He's something else entirely because he makes gods nervous. He is on his way here to kill whoever is dumb enough to threaten his pregnant fiancee, and I fear the rest of Earth will be collateral if we don't prepare-"
"That's Danny Phantom," A young voice cuts John off. He is surprised someone would talk over him in a level ten briefing. All eyes turn to Robin- er, the new Robin.
The kid is frowning at the image, his signature scowl already deeper than usual. He's also heard the new Robin was a spoiled boy who was not a team player.
"You know King Phantom?" John asks.
Robin nods. "Placeholder is obsessed with him. Half his room is covered with King Phantom's heroics."
"Do not call him that.," Nightwing hisses a second later. He frowned when Robin ignored him but returned to the room without further comment on the boy's cheek. "Danny Phantom is a low-level search and rescue hero. He pops up around the world but only sometimes interacts with people. Robin- Young Justice Robin- was obsessed with him."
The room gains an awkward weight as no one is willing to bring up the mentally unsound MIA teenager.
It's too bad for them. John has never cared about making anyone comfortable. "You said his room is covered in images of King Phantom?"
From the corner of his eyes, John catches sight of Zatanna's face. She's pale white, with a horrified expression as if though she was standing before the grim itself. Every other member of the Justice League Dark is in a similar state.
"Yes, he has a whole wall of posters and stuff." Nightwing conforms, and shit John knows who Phantom's after now.
The thing is, one just doesn't have pictures of King Phantom. No one knows why, but the Ghost King can not be documented. Not without having some kind of connection to the King.
Throughout history, the only ones who have ever had even one solid picture of the king- John's magic doesn't count cause he can't well hold the thing up forever- usually meant that the King would appear before them at one point.
There is also a myth if one could beat a member of the royal ghost family, then one wish is granted to them. If one can kill a royal ghost member, death can be overturned.
It's not true, obviously, for death is not easily beaten like that, but John knows that as an expert, would a mentally unwell teenager know the same?
It was also known that if the King appeared before you, something terrible would happen. The sighting of King Phantom often came as an omen and usually right before a terrible disaster.
In the last disaster, they lost Batman, and if King Phantom had shown up, where the Third Robin have spotted him? Where the Third Robin have thought the King could return the dead?
Not to mention the rumors!
King Phantom was hunting down a group of humans known as "The Bats." John hadn't put that much stock in that rumor simply because it could have been anyone- hell, when he looked up the bats seven different groups appeared, varying from boy bands to zoologists.
But if he placed the name "The Bats" next to the Third Robin's psychotic break, his obsession with King Phantom, and his intertwined fates...well, shit.
There is a slight chance that the Third Robin's fate could be intertwined with the Ghost King in a positive light, but John has learned to not be optimistic in his line of work.
"I think the Third Robin is gunning after the Ghost King's fiancee and unborn child in a misguided attempt to bring Batman back to life. He may have kicked started a war that humanity can not win," He announces. He hates to say. hates to even suggest it, but the needs of the many outweigh those of the few. "We have to find the Third Robin and attempt to stop him. If we can't reason with him, we must put him down."
Wonder Girl gasps a sob, pressing her hand against her mouth.
John hates himself a little more as she sobs; a few rushes to confront her, but no one is unaffected by the news.
"I'm ordering a hunt for the Third Robin," Wonderwoman speaks up to her steady leadership, returning everyone from their despair. "Every available hero will help. Do not use lethal force unless there is no other choice. We may be able to find him before King Phantom's armies arrive."
John just hopes they are not too late.
Meanwhile, across the plane of existence, unaware of the manhunt for his head, Tim Drake is trying to stare down a Yeti, attempting to put him in silk clothes that are just fabrics held together by strings.
"No."
"But-But- but you have such a flattering figure! You must flaunt it! The Great One will barely be able to contain himself if he sees you in this!"
"No. It looks like something you wear on a honeymoon to seduce your spouse. I'm not walking around in that."
"Well, you don't need to bewitch his majesty. You already have a child on the way." The Yeit mutters, considering the fabric in his claws with a frown. He is Frostbite's royal tailor and has been attempting to dress Tim for over an hour. Everything he's suggested so far looks like it came from those romantic fantasy games.
It's like they want to make him a sexy consort or something.
Tim's teeth grind against each other. He hates how often his role is reminded, how casually the yetis mention that Ra's expects a child from Tim.
He doesn't even know how that child will come to be, and it makes him sick. He's been bidding his time, waiting for his wounds to heal and to find a weakness in the frozen fortress, but so far, he is unsure how he will escape.
And Bruce is still out there, waiting for Tim to get him. He can't waste any more time here.
"How about this cloak?" The Yeti offers, holding up a dark metallic fabric that reminds TIm of his Robin cape. "If we are going for a more conservative look, something that screams power is just the way to make the masses wild!"
Ugh, he really needs to think of a plan soon.

yesterday i spent an hour in the shower talking to myself about how I think a reverse robins au would go, mainly in the case of Tim taking Jasons place as the revived second robin. I took the Joker Junior thing and decided "Hm.. yes, this is how Tim dies."
I have many thoughts about it.
Basically, Tim's 15, has been Robin for almost two years, when his dad dies. Like in canon, Tim makes a very strategic plan which could lead to the murderers death, but Batman finds out and Tim doesn't enact it. Bruce is still mad about it, and Tim storms out the manor to go visit his dad's grave. While on the way, he gets kidnapped by the Joker and he's tortured for three weeks because Bruce thinks he's just being an angry teen giving the silent treatment. By the time he realises something is wrong and goes to find Tim, the boy is already dead. After shooting the Joker, he shot himself, and Harley Quinn is no where to be found.
Then, six months after being buried, he wakes up in his grave, right besides his father. He digs out, is found by Talia, and taken to be trained. With Jason, Ra's didn't want to heal him and Talia did it without permission, but in this au, Talia is the one who doesn't want to heal him. She thinks he's too similar to Bruce, and that she won't be able to trick him. Ra's thinks he can. He's wrong, of course.
Instead of reclaiming the name Red Hood, Tim decides to stay as Junior. After all, he was extremely mentally unstable before his death, so i think he'd still be suffering fron the torture and think Batman = bad, Joker = good. After a little while, he manages to recover a bit, but he's still mad at Bruce.
Jason forgave Bruce for not saving him, but was angry he didn't get justice.
Tim forgave Bruce for not getting him justice, but he's angry he didn't get saved.
Tim comes back to Gotham and is a lot more sneaky with his crimes. Red Hood came in guns a-blazing, straight away starting to clean Gotham up, but Junior is much more behind the scenes. If the criminals decided to do good, they'd live. It's not his fault the house they broke in to had rabid dogs squatting in it, or that their hard drives were suddenly copied and shared to everyone they knew.
Instead of attacking the new Robin, he kidnaps her instead. Sends Batman cryptic messages like "better find her soon or she'll end up like the last bird" or "you should keep a better eye on your things, Batsy". Bruce is tearing Gotham apart searching for Stephanie, thinking she's being tortured by a Joker wannabe, when actually she's just being forced to sit through slideshows about the dangers of being a child soldier and told annoying knock-knock jokes over burgers.
I might write a fic about this 🤭

you know i often see people throwing around the claim "joker r*ped/sa'd barbara in tkj" (mainly to shame people for liking the joker or batjokes) even though alan moore has dedunked it at some point. like the only piece of media i can think of with joker as a rapist is the azzarello graphic novel which is shit and doesn't need to be accepted as canon. i know it's kinda of a touchy subject but i'd be interested to hear your thoughts
Well. You've pretty much said it, to be honest.
Even a cursory Google search will reveal that Azzarello's Joker (2008) is a one-off, non-canon story. The just as much stand-alone sequel, Batman: Damned has a grieving Harley Quinn almost force herself on Bruce, and yet I haven't heard people say Harley is a rapist. Hell, didn't Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) have Harley and Nightwing sleep together... with pretty dubious consent on Dick's side? And yet fans are able to acknowledge that these are not canon storylines and that the writer matters a lot-- in the case of the latter, it's co-written by Bruce Timm, who is infamous for his shitty portrayal of female characters (also see the animation Batman: The Killing Joke, in which Barbara very assertively has sex with Batman, because that's of course the only way a woman can exercise power). Actually, Barbara's character has suffered so much... there's even Batman Beyond 2.0 #28, in which Bruce apparently got Barbara pregnant, Dick's girlfriend at the time.
But we all dismiss these storytelling choices because we know they're idiotic. They go against the core of the characters, simple as that. Why is Joker not allowed the same? While what he canonically did to Barbara in TKJ was horrible, rape did not happen, and that's a fact. Any other implications of sexual assault can only be connected to Frank Miller's writing in the TDKR series (not canon), or that horrible (and again, not canon) book adaptation of TKJ by Christa Faust and Gary Phillips. Unfortunately, there are always some writers who think that it's just darker and grittier and cooler, more shocking to have Joker attempt rape or resort to sexual means of intimidation; though it's funny how it happens that these are also generally controversial writers for their sexist depictions of women.
But we do know why Joker is not afforded the same kind of treatment as other characters who got butchered by out-of-character stories, canon or otherwise. He's become the punching bag of the DC fandom; it's so easy to proclaim loud and proud these days how much you hate the Joker and want him dead. If you're an anti and looking to feel morally righteous and signal to your echo chamber how good and pure you are, it's a low hanging fruit to latch onto Joker and criticize him for all he's done. The problem, of course, is when these people start attacking actual, real-life fans over their fictional preferences, shipping or otherwise.
But to give a more general conclusion, and my actual opinion on the matter: Joker is a master manipulator. His main schtick is literally getting Batman to kill him by orchestrating all manner of situations; he manipulates his doctors, his henchmen, he manipulates Gotham itself through the media on countless occasions. The very reason why he did what he did to Barbara in TKJ was to manipulate her father into having a mental breakdown. Joker picks people to break and then breaks them psychologically, that is his MO. What he wants is to expose the people around him, he wants to show that deep down, everyone is rotten.
It probably becomes obvious why rape is inconsistent with this mindset. Joker isn't the kind of monster to make things happen by brute force, he's the kind of monster to manipulate people into the worst versions of themselves and then laugh at them as they hate themselves for it. He'll murder and torture and imply any manner of atrocity to make that happen, but the source of his glee is seeing people fall into the same dark pit, devoid of humanity, he's chosen to live in. (And don't even get me started on the fact that Joker was canonically shown to have been a victim of sexual assault himself as a child, in Batman: Streets of Gotham. As an adult, he's depicted as gruesomely taking revenge on the man who did it. Something tells me there's more than one reason why Joker would not resort to rape, and it goes beyond MOs or agendas.)

alright new post so not to derail this post any more than i already have lol
so something i think i've never seen touched on in a potential dick dies au like that is the emotional devastation that tim would feel when he found out about it. because dick has been so important to him for so long, even before they met again post jason's death. so tim would take the news of dick dying very, very terribly. and like idk. in canon, tim was a bit emotionally removed from the situation and did not need emotional support himself, which is why he was able to provide emotional support (mainly for bruce). conversely, a tim whose hero has died would need emotional support and likely not be able to provide it. on one hand, tim does have a very rosy view of dick and bruce's relationship at first and might be able to pull himself together for the idea of dick in order to try and pull bruce out of his depression over dick's death (because he would be doing it for dick). on the other hand, tim is 13 and his hero dick grayson has died and he might not be able to emotionally handle that.
so i think from the second option you have a tim that never reaches out to batman&robin and i think we have a couple of branching possibilities here: one. tim suffers in silence over dick's death (not in the fanon way). tries to hide his devastation over dick's death from his parents and pretends everything is fine (because they wouldn't understand), his parents remain unaware that anything is wrong and keep traveling and both die in haiti (since tim never met batman&robin and batman has no personal stake in the case). two. even as absentminded parents as jack and janet can be they realize something is wrong with tim and find out he's very upset over dick grayson dying. they come back home asap because they're not total monsters. because they are home they don't go to haiti and they survive. this situation probably brings up a lot of tension between jack and janet because jack is probably being very nonchalant about the whole thing and thinks tim needs to man up and janet is far more worried that he is taking this death of a virtual stranger so hard and is stressed because this all goes back to the circus incident. fights increase and this accelerates jack & janet's divorce. jack meets dana somewhere and promptly gets married and focuses on his new life and janet probably gets majority custody and takes her very large alimony and moves them out to bristol. tim slowly improves over time and goes to visit dick's grave one night.
this is, of course, the night that dick crawls out of his grave and janet was having a very normal night until her son walked in with a resurrected dick grayson covered in dirt and i guess we have to make our way through mom's archeology contacts to get this situation fixed now. it's a whole ass world tour.

And you know I always want to hear more about the YJ WIP, so Young Justice: Fenix
I'm going to switch things up a bit here. For those who might not know, that's how I call a Jason-centric, longfic WIP of mine set in the Young Justice (cartoon) universe. It takes all four seasons as canon (it cherry picks re: the tie-in comics), and mixes some of my headcanons regarding Jason's character in it with some mainline comics canon that I don't think would apply to the show, but that serve my purposes. AND it throws in some dcau canon (but making it my own) for good measure.
Though the story is largely about Jason, the collision with his old life and the reunion with his family, it's told in multiple POVs. Mainly to advance the plot and not just write a navel-gazing Jason angst fest xDD. I thought I'd list the characters that get to have POVs, and tell you a bit of what they'll be bringing to the story. In order of appearance:
Talia al Ghul. The story opens with her! She's the main plot-mover, because she's in the thick of the actual conflict (vs. the new league of shadows + the light), preparing and moving pieces so things go the way they're supposed to. The dynamic between her and Jason is shaping up to be interesting too: it's different from how I see their comics relationship, AND different from the fanon mother-and-son dynamic. There's some of that, maybe, but due to circumstances and the large gap between him and Damian in this canon (nearly 20 years), he funcitons more as a parental figure than a brotherly one... cue spousification añsdklfjasdf. It's been fun to write.
Jason Todd. He's the main guy. He's going through it xD (also, this version of him didn't go into a pit, so he's healed the slow way and that's had an effect on him.
Dick Grayson. He's running point on The Superhero Side of things, as a leader, as a link between various sets of the plot, etc. His relationship with Jason is still forming. They are closer in age and (in my head) they actually shared time and space in the manor, as brothers, which makes some things easier and something more complicated. He also offers a counterpoint to Bruce (next one). In every instance we see into Bruce's head, we see that (although he rarely exteriorises it), he thinks about Jason. Dick doesn't, he has a mental block the size of a country. Until things come crashing down... very close to his birthday...
Bruce Wayne. He's there to suffer! I say this with affection because yj!Bruce is better than most Bruces but. I enjoy putting him through the ringer. I'm giving him angst about Jason, I'm giving him angst about Damian, I'm giving him angst about this-mysterious-red-hooded-guy... even about Alfred, and about other things I still haven't ironed out completely lmao.
Damian al Ghul. He's at the center of the conflict, what our mains are protecting above all. He's six years old. My goal is to strike a balance with his character, because otoh, yj offers a different version of the al Ghuls, which would change things, but I do love comics!Damian and the edges he comes with. His relationship with Jason tugs at my heartstrings.
Dinah Lance. She has a much smaller part than the ones above, but she has a couple of POV sections of her own. One of the first scenes I wrote for this fic was a therapy session with Bruce shortly after Jason's death, and I didn't want her to be in the fic *just* for that lol. She offers a little insight into the Senior League, into how (what in this world is) a very public child hero's death affected things, etc.
Cassandra Wu San. I simply find this (very, very different) version of Cass fascinating and wanted in her head. I wanted to show her perspective on the other bats, Barbara (who hasn't gotten a POV herself because this version of the character is simply more interesting through Cass's eyes) and Bruce in particular. And I also thought that, timeline-wise, it'd fit that she might've met Jason as the Red Hooded Ninja if they were in the League of Shadows around the same time. So that's fun.
Artemis Crock. I wanted someone on the original team to have a POV as well, and she was the immediate best choice. She can help move the plot on that side (here she's the new team leader), she has insight on the Shadows as well (Jade is also around btw!), I imagine as the teammate who Jason would've connected with the quickest, and we get to see some of her conflicting feelins re: an old teammate being resurrected... and not being the one she misses the most.
Tim Drake. He caused me a lot of headaches because a.) the show version of Tim is really... just there and b.) I started properly planning the fic at a time where I wasn't feeling particularly kind towards comics!Tim. Luckily for my peace of mind I got over that lol, but even then, that period made it so I put extra effort with this character and the result is that he has his own parcel of the plot LOL. Featuring undercover mission, archeology digs, among other treats for him. His dynamic with Jason is complicated (Jason has a lot of feelings that are really more about himself than about Tim, but Tim is sort of in the way of dealing with those lol), added with the fact that when they meet, Jason is still keeping his identity under wraps and he can't air all of that out... yet xD
So basically: the Waynes (though Tim wasn't ever adopted in this version of canon, in my head; his step-mother is still around) or inner batfam circle + Talia + one member of the team + one member of the JL.
ask me about my wips!

The Twitter Drama AU Timeline
finally, after months, we finally have a timeline. this is not exhaustive (i tried to mainly include the super important parts, and some less important parts i thought were REALLY funny), and is probably only 75% accurate due to the non-linear nature we wrote the fic in to begin with, but it is better than nothing! updated as of chapter 10 (low hanging fruits)
12th March 2023: Tiny Diamond is born, Creek is his other dad, which is kept a secret from everyone except Guy and Creek.
November 2023: The events of Band Together, almost completely identical. Following which, Brozone get back together and start working on their reunion album. Now that Branch is in the spotlight, Barb is forced to acknowledge her ex girlfriend (one night stand) Poppy is a lot happier with a transfem butch, which sparks Barb’s descent into terfism. Val and Creek briefly see each other.
December 2023: John Dory gets his Twitter confiscated by Clay. Floyd gets his sex tape leaked (by Creek). Clay throws Viva under the bus for the first time. Clay accidentally gets Bruce accused of cheating on his wife, but they pin it on Branch, who just organised a fake breakup with Poppy because he was uncomfortable with all the smutfic. Riff leaves Barb’s band, and collabs with Creek but calls him an asshole. Velvet gets out of prison and writes a callout thread on Floyd. Floyd gets cancelled for the first time. Creek and Floyd start seeing each other in secret.
January 2024: Val publicly comes out as nonbinary and is kicked out of Barb’s band, then outs Barb as a nepo baby as revenge. JD tries to sneak back onto stantwt but is doxxed. Floyd tells Branch about his relationship with Creek; Branch is surprisingly fine with it as long as Creek is suffering, and boy does he suffer.
February 2024: A misunderstanding leads everyone to think Branch broke up with Poppy because he’s a gay man. He comes out as a lesbian but is immediately met with vitriol of both the exclusionist and transmisogynistic varieties. Barbtwt have a bone to pick with Hickory but he comes out on top. Clay throws Viva under the bus again but this time she's had enough, and releases an expose video on him and kicks him out of the pod. Viva and Floyd become BFFs.
March 2024: Dating rumours about Smidge and Poppy start, which Smidge does nothing to help. Barb accuses Smidge’s actual boyfriend of being a pedophile, and gets ratio’d. Creek and Floyd go public with their relationship.
June 2024: Guy Diamond gets into controversy after soliciting a camgirl and his family vlog channel goes on hiatus. Clay and Viva get back together, and Viva records revenge porn of him to “keep him in line”.
August 2024: Biggie gets into mild controversy that escalates into cancelation when he responds in character as Mr Dinkles. Clay and Vivas relationship becomes undeniably abusive, but they’re really good at hiding it.
September 2024: Floyd and Creek get married! Satin & Chenille have Velvet on their podcast. Guy Diamond gets cancelled after being outed as Pro-Life.
15th December 2024: Floyd and Creek have twins, Brad and Angelina [LASTNAME]-[LASTNAME2-.
April 2025: Creek and Floyd drop all pretences of thinking they’re a healthy couple.
12th May 2025: Creek aborts his second egg. They would have been named Shiloh. Floyd is distraught and gets harassed on Twitter again for being Pro-Life.
August 2025: Creek and Floyd divorce.
September 2025: It comes to light that DJ Suki is stealing from her niece CJ.
December 2025: Creek and Floyd get back together. Val stops hiding their racism from twitter and get doxxed by KPop fans. They have to live with their mother.
January 2026: Harper starts drawing Bruce as a transphobic caricature, a skinny feminine twink.
February 2025: Viva stops taking birth control. Branch gets doxxed for the first time (by Cloud Guy). Dante starts stalking Branch.
March 2026: jdtwt find out that JD used to have a thing with Delta Dawn, and harass her a bit. The two get back in touch, and Delta tells JD that they actually had a kid together (Holly Darling). JD is thrilled about being a dad. Holly is initially apprehensive but eventually comes around. JD gives Delta Cooties (it’s okay, there’s a cure). Sky Toronto buys Twitter.Crimp gets run off the internet for uncomfortable roleplay with Tiny Diamond (pretending to be 14). Velvet gets cancelled for workplace abuse. Smidge starts queerbaiting by selling merch of referencing her and Poppy’s fake relationship.
April 2026: Tiny Diamond reveals he is not actually 14, he is physically 3 years old (but for our purposes he is functionally 9 because Trolls age weird). He loses all his OOMFs (CJ, Preiscilla, Keith (all approx 13)) and has his account suspended. Branch gets really jealous over Smidge and publicly shittalks her. He and Poppy “get back together” but set the “boundary” that any smutfic about either of them can only be Broppy (obviously not everyone follows this rule).
May 2026: Cloud Guy leaks Smidge’s miscarriage after being paid off by Barbtwt. Branch gets doxxed for the third time. Poppy demands Sky Toronto take action so he permabans Cloud Guy’s IP. Cloud Guy goes to live with his parents.
June 2026: Gust Tumbleweed is violently homophobic to Synth during an LGBT charity event, but faces no consequences because he starts flirting with his fellow straight male friends again. Poppy gets sick of Dante stalking Branch so she prepares to take matters into her own hands. Holly Darlin starts selling snake oil, from the same company that supplies for Satin & Chenille. Holly and Satin start dating.
July 2026: Satin & Chenille (both Creek’s exes) are invited to the Floyd and Creek household for dinner to ‘bury the hatchet’, where they witness blackmailable activities and force them both to come on their podcast and embarrass themselves (mostly Floyd).
August 2026: Demo falls in love with Gust after being flirted with for several months, breaks up with his current girlfriend (DJ Suki) and gets very VERY aggressively turned down by Gust. Dante sends a glitter bomb to Branch’s pod, so Poppy beats him up, but Dante calls the cops on her and she faces legal trouble. Harper starts drawing Creek as a trans man, even though Creek is a cis man, because she felt like it. It catches on. Biggie gets cancelled for something unspecified but really, really bad.
September 2026: Guy Diamond faces controversy for thinking Troll babies sleeping in beds causes Autism, which he got from Creek, who he used to date and is now interested in again. Clay starts nearing his brink wrt Viva and stays with JD for a bit. Viva finds an egg in her hair, which she soon loses (19th). Cloud Guy kills himself. Biggie overdoses while playing Overwatch. Veneer gets hit by a bus.
October 2026: Sky Toronto and Nova Swift get divorced (she leaves him for a trans Troll). Branch and Poppy get an egg, and Viva is the first they tell, so she manipulates them into thinking they’d be awful parents and she can take care of it for them. Viva uses the egg to convince Clay to come home.
31st October 2026: The egg Viva stole from Branch and Poppy hatches. Their name is Ha’Penny Hatch. Since the kid looks nothing like either “parents”, Clay figures that Viva cheated on him and finally goes grey.
November 2026: Harper deletes all her socials when her proship side account is found. Gust tricks Demo into thinking his feelings are finally returned, only to crush his heart again publicly during a subathon.
December 2026: BrozoneRonpa resurfaces. Branch accidentally says something offensive about Guy Diamond publicly, and Guy capitalises on the potential controversy, which leads to intense Guy VS Floyd beef (they are both interested in the same man (only Floyd is married to him). Nova Swift moves to Mount Rageous, leaving S&C in need of a podcast producer, and Fuzzbert is their only hope but expects a big paycheck.
January 2027: Guy Diamond reveals that Tiny Diamond is actually Creek’s son. Floyd goes to stay with Branch. Bruce finds out the real reason Clay went grey and his immediate plan is to fake Clay’s suicide and take him with him to Vacay Island. JD, Viva and Penny are the only members of Clay’s immediate family who don’t know he’s still alive. Clay’s funeral is livestreamed on Twitch. Holly Darlin’s newly rekindled relationship with her dad is halted in its infancy.

The Beatles, London, April 9, 1969; photo by Bruce McBroom.
“Well, I suppose officially it was about ‘69, but we were splitting up for years before that, since we left touring really. […] Being together for so long, one of the problems became that we pigeon-holed each other, we had preconceived ideas what each other wants and we limited each other too much. And it had to happen.” - George Harrison, BBC Radio, February 1977
“Well, it was mainly the sadness because we’d been so close for so long, I mean, as Mick Jagger said at the Hall of Fame, ‘the four-headed monster.’ We never went anywhere without each other. We shared all the miseries and the isolation of being in limos and hotels and planes and concert halls, which is all we ever saw really. And that was the saddest thing, it was actually getting fed up with each other.” - George Harrison, Off The Record, February 12, 1988
“For years after The Beatles I didn’t want to talk about it. It was all too close, the pain and the suffering, ‘cos that was what was in my mind at the time. Then after the years away from it, I thought ‘no — we had fun, and had a good little band, and had more laughs than misery.’ It’s just that the misery got broadcast more than the fun.” - George Harrison, The Guardian, November 5, 1988
“There’s some little magic chemistry that happened between us, and somehow it got in the grooves of those records. And not every song we ever did was brilliant but there’s a lot of them that are just timeless, they’re great songs, and they just happen to have in the grooves that chemistry that I think seems to appeal to each generation as it comes up.” - George Harrison, Off The Record, February 12, 1988
“I’d like to think that the old Beatle fans have grown up and they’ve got married and they’ve all got kids and they’re all more responsible, but they still have a space in their hearts for us.” - The Beatles Anthology (2000) (x)

do u think any of the batfam members have dealt with insecurities when it comes to their physical appearance?
Yes!! On top of the insecurity pyramid I'd say it's Jason. He didn't really have the chance to settle into a quote unquote "adult body" but mainly, i think there's some body resentment action going on.
Not because it's "undesirable" or anything; But it's the body he died into. He's a walking coffin, pretty much. Mainly, it's a body that brought him suffering, and a body he couldn't use to save himself.
As for Bruce, I think it'd be interesting if he was body neutral; Somewhere down the line, it's impossible to be Batman and not make a weapon of yourself. His work is ugly and tough and he doesn't expect to walk clean from it.
I'd say as long as he maintains strength, tenacity, speed, etc, he doesn't necessarily care about anything else. Still, scar worship is my SHIT with this man.

im curious though, what do you think it was that caused this sudden slander recontextualisation of jason in the 90s. was it dc editorial i bet it was fucking dc editorial
i don't think it was sudden at all, nor that it was specifically a 90s issue. it was already, in a way, facilitated in adift (although not as radically as some believe it to be; i always say that ironically, in spite of his hatred for jason, starlin still afforded sympathy in his portrayal that editorial later on seems to completely abandon). it's also visible in the responses to fan letters after it- victim blaming followed as the first explanation, both to the event as a creative decision and in order to justify bruce's ability to keep going as batman in-universe... and of course, as they quickly realised that there's no batman without robin, to set up the introduction of the new sidekick. a lonely place of dying comes out in 89, so that's right before the decade ends, and the robin solo comes out in jan 91... so it's all a quite rapid (negative) development that is mostly used to hype up tim's character. which is also why it does strike me as a bit ignorant irt the source material when fans claim that tim has absolutely no interest in jason in any sense when in fact his origin story was built upon jay's death and it's a recurring theme in his solo... so much of his identity as robin is based around jay's suffering and his perception of him as a failure... the "good soldier" case was literally invented for tim's angst, and he misses no opportunity to spit at jay's memory. this is of course not merely tim's in-universe opinion, this is also the narrative that dc tries to sell in order to put their brand-new robin on a pedestal. and besides tim, jay was obviously fridged mainly for bruce's sake – except the editorial has lost all ability and willingness to criticise bruce in any matter, so any indication that his choices could have played a role in a child's death ought to be swept under the rug. and butchering jay's personality was the easiest way to do it.

@f4nd0m-fun here
So, I was on the ship Wiki, and I'm wondering what your Crane ships are?
I stumbled on Scriddler and TwoCrow, and I couldn't help but peek at TwoRiddle, so now I'm thinking about TwoScriddler, and oh no.
I barely know these chars and yet here I am.
Now combine this with John barely speaking with his fam and... you got Danny showing up on his doorstep one day, and Crane may have forgot to tell his buds about it, and you've got a small mess.
Personally, if I had to ship Harvey with someone, it's Gilda or Bruce (or both) (Unless it's Batman Forever version, then definitely TwoRiddle cause HAVE YOU SEEN THEM!?)
But honestly? This made me thinking... (Long ass rant ahead that may or may not make sense. This is written while being sleep deprived)
Jonny boy here ain't the only one who suffered abuse as a child. Both Harvey and Edward have as well. They both have Daddy Issues while Jonathan, depending on how you interpret him or which backstory you use, have granny issues + religious trauma or also Daddy Issues.
That being said, Harvey gives me the "this family ends with me" vibes, especially after he became Two-Face, and may be put off with Danny's presence for a while. He doesn't want to continue the cycle and become his dad. He'd likely would have liked, at the very least, to have been informed about the new addition to their family so he can... Prepare essentially/get used to the idea/plan how to avoid Danny. He's... For the lack of better words, cautious/careful around Danny, as to not accidentally trigger himself by accidentally hurting the kid. Does this make sense?
It'll take a while for Harvey to relax around Danny but for sure, he's gonna be very protective, if because he's Jonny's kid at first. He'll come to adore the kid and while not see him as a son but like... Oh, who's he and Harv kidding, that's his kid now and too hell with a coin, fuck with one of his then you'd get instant death penalty with him as the Executioner.
Harvey is gonna try and teach Danny law, specifically how to use loopholes against the system and evade arrests and such cause what else is gonna try to do to bond with Danny? Man's life had always revolved around law... Though... there are times where he'd go into this sort of story mode, recalling his experiences with Danny. He's soft and distant here but this is his way to fully open up, if that makes sense.
Harv, on the other hand? Teaching Danny how the criminal world works. Kid needs to learn how Gotham works. Can't have him die (er- turn fully ghosts? Yeah, he and Harvey don't understand Danny's halfa nature but they try and are supportive... They can't help but be reminded of themselves actually-) or Jonny's gonna be beyond pissed in a whole new level. Is actually rather strict, makes sure to put ground rules and boundaries with Danny compared to the rest of the parental unit that is Twoscriddler. Someone has to be the strict parent... How he and Harvey are considered the functional parent here is cause they actually practice self-care, well to an extent anyways, compared to his idiot lovers who would go days on end without eating, drinking, or sleeping, if the chance rises.
Harv, though rarely, would go into story mode as well to Danny, but in his perspective. There are many times he and Harvey hate each other but... They lived and went through the same life. Just differently. He mainly does this after something especially happened with Danny, like say, Danny nearly got shot...
Now, Edward on the other hand... Really depends on the version but in my opinion, he'd be indifferent with Danny at first, if a bit surprised. Jonny, with a kid? Now, isn't that interesting. Would definitely grow very fond of Danny very quickly, and if he learns that Danny's good with inventing and such, he is, for sure, gonna nurture those skills.
Eddie boy is gonna drag Danny to his workshop so they can bond over building shit. Also, VIDEO GAMES CAUSE YOU CAN NOT TELL ME OTHERWISE THAT EDDIE'S NOT A GAMER! Gets too competitive, too loud, just overall chaotic fun with Eddie also rambling about shit in the process. Just, the two are fucking gremlins and fueling each other's chaotic streak somehow cause while Eddie is an adult very full of himself, he acts too much like a child when he's relaxed and not trying to maintain his dignified image even though everyone has at least witness his childish streak at least once (this including his tantrums/meltdowns...)
The fun uncle/dad that managed to help Danny feel like a normal kid he wasn't able to be exactly due to living with mad scientists (who wanted to kill him later on even if they didn't know it was him). Eddie boy would also definitely help tutor Danny. Just that he may get impatient or teaches things too fast. Best that Jonny's there helping with tutoring so it's better paced and not going overboard.
But uh- yeah, it's gonna be a bit of mess when Harvey/Harv entered the shared apartment and see a random kid in there (who both resembles Jonny in some ways and also has the right coloration to be considered Wayne bait AND OH BOY-) huddled in blankets. Eddie would likely just walk past Danny, and after a few moments, walks backwards and stare at Danny, processing, before getting Jonny or Harvey, before trying to maybe interrogate? Depends if he slept or was hyperfocused on a project in his workshop.
[Also, @f4nd0m-fun, I swear, you've been fueling my need to create more Uncle Scarecrow content- DO YOU KNOW HOW HYPER AND EXCITED YOU MADE WHEN YOU @ ME!? Well, I think you're gonna see it when I do the reblogs... Just- XD, I'm having too much fun today/last night/lately (wtf is time anymore)]

I re read Nightwing's new run post Ric arc start to where we are now. And honestly it's not bad. There are some really interesting plot points. I liked the way Blockbuster was brought back and his daughter going with the Amazons. I like the pirate stuff with Bea and I hope that crops up More. She should show up in an Aquaman comic. The humor is very hit or miss but I liked nite-mite had me laughing actually.
I also liked Jon's cameo though I will never ever accept him being a grown man just make him fourteen like Damian. Could even have him drawn just a bit shorter but just as muscular good ol Smallville call back. I also think Heartless is a really good villain. He and his butler give me Black Butler vibes. I am interested to see where they go with Dick breaking his new artificially drug induced fear of heights. I loved the issue where Dick got super powers for a couple hours and made a point to go see Clark that was really nice. I liked them exploring the Circus as a romanticized past for Dick he briefly knew as a little boy but truly being Robin and the ward of a billionaire was his childhood not an on the road carny.
I like the Dawn of DC direction. I like the Infinite Frontier direction with the memories. I even as a silver and bronze age comic fan don't mind the increased familial affection. Dick Grayson to me is being written as a thirty year old man who wants to make peace with the people in his life and start doing what those who came before him have. He is his father's son after all. And Bruce is being given back traits that were long stripped away from him and given to Alfred. I think there is real promise for the future of DC
What I dislike is mainly things that are ignorable and could easily be discarded in the future. Such as the secret bio sister it could be revealed at the end of the arc she was Tony Zucco's all along she's wrong and then she fades out of existence. I hope this is the very last Tony Zucco arc all together anyways I'm sick of him. Dick can't be chasing his parent's fall forever. And if they want to retcon Alfred as being a father figure that's fine I'll just start writing up an analysis of how giving Alfred an active participation role means he was an active participant in everything Batman did and how that foils their image of a well meaning long suffering butler. But anyways besides little things here and there that make me sigh because I think Tom Taylor would rather be writing for Batman I am enjoying this run.

A few things about the blog:
Hello, I'm BatsimpH on Twitter and MsOdds on AO3. I made this blog to archive my fics and (some of) my arts, and of course make new friends if I can. Here are some infos about the blog and me:
Tumblr media
I simp Bruce Wayne (evidently), and mainly ship Superbat with side AllBat (Bottom Bruce) so if it's not your cup of tea, please move on and save yourself the headache
I archive my arts and writings on this blog. I will only post my SFW art here, but I will link all of my Batman-related AO3 fics, some of which have TW contents, I will put warnings in front of each of said fics
Other than that, let's keep things amicable and harmonious.
***
Fics archive
Here is a list of all of my Batman related fics on AO3, with statuses (ongoing, complete, on hiatus...) , ratings, summaries and warnings. This will be updated in real time.
I. One-shots
1. Smothering Love: On how Batman's hugs are deadlier than his glares
When Bruce was still with the League of Shadows, he had the habit of breastfeeding Damian whenever he started crying. It was the only experience the Omega had with consolidating children. Coupled with the trauma of losing him, it stuck. In the end, four Robins (plus one lucky Kryptonian) suffered. (Bruce gives the worst hugs ever. Robins are embarrassed. Clark wants to be smothered by his best friend's chest, he just doesn't know it yet.)
Rating: Mature (no explicit sexual content)
Ship: Superbat, side-KonTim
Note: ABO, past-Mpreg, good parent Bruce Wayne, BOOBAS
This was my first ever Superbat fic and to this day it's still my most read one, despite being ABO, it's lighthearted w some angst and humor and crack
2. Merry it is, while summer lasts.
Bruce joins the Justice Lords when the first of the dog roses blooms. He leaves when the last has wilted and rose hips grow in clusters on spiky tree branches. His loyalty to Kal lasts a season, but his love for Clark survives a lifetime.
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Justice Lord Superbat
TW: Non-con, Coerced Sex
Notes: Medieval fantasy AU, Justice Lord, Dark Clark, Whump Bruce, secret marriage
This is a rather dark and Angsty fic, inspired by a middle-English song called "Miri it is, while Sumer ilas" and dog roses (Rosa canina). I consider it my best one yet.
3. Heated Combat.
"... So why not do it? Why not let his fists do the job? He’d rather be known as a prude than an insatiable bitch..." Every heat, Batman haunts the streets of Gotham and redirects his frustration onto anyone foolish enough to commit crime in his presence. For Alfred’s sanity, the safety of himself and the criminals, he needs to find a different outlet. Enter Superman. (Atypical Omegaverse where heats and ruts only make people extremely horny, or in Bruce’s case, horny and pissed off.)
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Superbat
Note: ABO, Batfam, CRACK, Humor and sexy time
4. Metastatis
Metastasis (n): the development of secondary malignant growths at a distance from a primary site of cancer Clark afflicts him with a disease of the incurable kind, a love so vile that it turns into world-ending hate. And just like the heart sickness that never goes away, Clark never lets him be, either. Three Supermen take an interest in the Devastator. They want to tame him. To do so, they first have to teach him how to love Superman again.
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Superbat (Dark Clark(s) x Devastator)
Note: ANGST,  violence, body modification, mind break, Stockholm’s syndrome, suicidal thoughts
This is a requested fic, and a very dark one, read at your own risk
II. Multi chapters
The man of tomorrow who becomes the god of sorrow
“It’s not me you seek forgiveness from. It’s him… And if he were anything like me, then there is nothing to forgive… I’ve never resented Ka-Clark, either.” (“Batman, as your old comrade, I give you one last chance. Disband the rebels and pledge your loyalty to the Justice Lords and Kal. Beg him for mercy, you just might receive it.” But Bruce had remained willfully silent as Diana’s lasso biting into his neck until, until… In hindsight, what a moron Kal-El had been, waiting for the Bat to yield, knowing that Bruce’s body would give out before his mind did) After Lord Batman’s death, Lord Superman crosses many universes and finds him again.
Status: On-going, chapter 6/8
Rating: N/A (no explicit content, some violent)
Ship: Superbat + Superbat deviations (Justice Lords, Injustice...)
Notes: Lord Superman centric, Dark Clark, Multi universes (Justice Lord, Injustice, Flashpoint, Dark Knight trilogy...), Redemption, WHUMP and ANGST
This was my first attempt at writing Justice Lord and fix-it redemption and my second fic overall.
2. Accidental Cohabitation
Clark’s week has been terrible. First Batman rejects him, then Brucie Wayne invites himself into his life. Salvaging his relationship with a moody colleague and babysitting a runaway Omega billionaire? This might be a job even Superman can’t do.
Status: On-going, chapter 4/?
Rating: Mature (Some sexual contents and languages)
Ship: Superbat, past-others/Bruce
Notes: ABO, Brucie baby, Batfam shenanigan, humor, crack and some angst
This is just pure crack with drama and action elements
3. Kings take Queens
Pheromones draw mates to one another and they don’t lie. It’s all nature, but nature doesn't account for parallel universes. Lord Batman finds it increasingly difficult to reject propositions from his Alpha’s double. Batman, an unmated and untamed Omega, has his iron will tested by Lord Superman. Kal will stop at nothing to possess a Bat who won’t betray him. Lord Superman wants to help in his own twisted way and teach the other Kryptonian a valuable lesson. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.
Status: Complete
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Justice Lord Superbat, Injustice Superbat, Lord Superman x Insurgency Batman, Regime Superman x Lord Batman
Warning: RAPE, Non Con
Notes: ABO, Dark Clark, Whump, Angst, Justice Lord, Injustice
This is a dark fic, mostly porn and some drama, angst
4. Hit the ground running
Bruce knows that Clark wants to be his mate, but his body and mind are contaminated by Joker’s blood and he’s afraid of tainting Clark with it too. One year after Batman’s death, Bruce, accompanied by his best friend and confidant, returns to Gotham. The short visit propels their relationship along its natural course in a way neither of them could prepare for. When Bruce runs away, he unknowingly triggers a ritual as old as time, where Alphas hunt Omegas down and claim them.
Status: Complete, chapter 3/3
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Superbat, one-sided and past others/Bruce
Warning: Contains spoilers for Arkham games (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Knight, Arkham Origin)
Notes: ABO, Arkhamverse, mating hunt, Angst
Praise Arkham! Batman's thighs. You can still read this without previously playing the games.
5. Dynasty of Frauds
“You can become my mate, or I can put you under Brainiac’s brain control device again. What is it going to be, Bruce?” Kandor’s restoration brings about conspiracies that Kal has neither patience nor finesse for. He needs an ally, and Bruce, despite his many past betrayals, happens to be perfect for the job.
Status: On-going, chapter 2/?
Rating: Explicit
Ship: Injustice Superbat
Notes: ABO, Injustice
This fic is an attempt at royal! AU, takes place post-Injustice 2, Superman ending (Absolute Power), it's a dark fic with hopefully happy ending and fix-it, slow burn.

Finney x Robin (head cannons)
Tumblr media
Gif by @happy-xy
What do you mean robin died that never ever happened get out of here with that. But for real tho these are either canon divergence where robin didn’t get kidnapped or just one where the grabber wasn’t a thing cuz the other boys are also gonna be mentions (also this is my first one that’s I’m doing so I’m so sorry if it’s not that great)
During finney’s 15th birthday robin got him a telescope so that they could stargaze at night
While they were stargazing was when robin finally let it all out and told finney how he felt lucky for him finney felt the same way
They’d usually go to a drive in movie for their dates they’d use to sneak in but after robin was able to drive He’d borrow his uncles truck for their dates
Finneys favorite movie genre is definitely sci-fi and even though robin is a fan he likes watching finney watch the movie in awe
Obviously for robin his favorite movie genre is horror movies because he gets to act all tough and “protect” finney
Robin gives finney one of his bandanas (that man has a collection you cannot tell me otherwise) and when they go to school finney has it around his wrist and he never takes it off after he gets it
When ever they have arguments they’d make billy send a message to the other
If their argument is bad to the point that they don’t talk to each other for a long period of time they’re just quietly suffering because they’re not with each other
In the end it’s vance and billy that convince robin to apologize while it’s griffin and bruce (mainly bruce) that makes finn go to robin to apologize
This was probably bad I’m so sorry but I hope you enjoyed it lol😁

fuck it, Avengers Dead Dove Do Not Eat fic idea/outline
This is mainly an AU for my Avengers OC Desmond - he grew up in a lab and has a regenerative mutation because of it. In his main story/universe, Tony and Pepper unofficially adopt him and his life is able to finally turn around. The set up is the same here, except that Tony Stark is a Monster with Too Much Power I can try and write it as an "x reader" fic if people want, but portions of it do hinge on Desmond and his own origin story, plus I'd need a beta reader to go through and swap pronouns over. Anyway here's some quick thoughts on the fic, laying down a little bit of groundwork as far as Desmond's situation goes. I can't guarantee I'll actually write it though hhhhh TW: NON-CON (the focus is Desmond's sexual assault at the hands of Tony & Bruce), transphobia, and probably a whole load of other stuff if I do write it
DARKFIC – Tony x Desmond x Bruce Non-con, DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT
Desmond is taken in by Tony around the same time [somewhere around Avengers2012?]
Because of all the tech and money Tony has provided SHIELD he’s gained too much freedom and power – no one is really able to stop him from doing what he wants, because he could rip away nearly all of SHIELD’s resources at this point
What Tony wants, in “adopting” Desmond, is a plaything (he also brings Bruce into it- he's in this weird limbo where he still joins Tony in assaulting Desmond, but he apologizes nearly the entire time, which makes Desmond feel worse)
Fury feels partly responsible for what Tony (and by extension Bruce) is doing to Desmond – he’s unable to do anything and the guilt eats at him - Fury's constant apologizing and trying to “make it up to him” just makes Desmond feel worse (are you noticing a trend)
Pepper is also trapped – first in her job and now in her marriage w/ Tony – she and Desmond, while living together and going through the same things, aren’t able to do anything to help each other, aside from sympathetic glances now and then (Tony doesn’t allow them together unsupervised maybe?)
Pepper tries to comfort Desmond when she can - by making him food or other small things. She genuinely cares about Desmond, but is really doing these small things for him so she doesn't have to think about her own suffering
Tony won't let Desmond get any of the gender affirming surgeries he wants - claims it's simply not possible with his healing abilities and won't let him talk about it past that - Tony really just wants more control over him (potential forced pregnancy?)
Tony does not allow Desmond to see Loki at all, so sadly that relationship never has a chance
Luckily though he does still meet Bucky - they keep their friendship a secret and Bucky really wants to do something about Desmond's situation but he can't without risking Desmond losing his one single solitary genuinely safe place (Bucky's room) so he's stuck just trying to comfort Desmond and be there to put him back together whenever he needs
Steve either does not notice all of this or he is in denial, so Desmond can't go to him (there has been at least one incident where Desmond felt safe enough to vent a bit to Steve - Tony knew everything by dinner that night, rip)
Steve's unwillingness or inability to see how awful Tony is towards Desmond and Pepper causes a rift between him and Bucky
Potential happy/bittersweet ending - Bucky somehow manages to help Desmond escape and they flee to.....idk somewhere. Maybe they're just on the run from then on. Maybe they go to Wakanda? Maybe Shuri and T'challa take them in and hide them?
I really want to try and find a way to work Loki into this, since he's such an important character in Desmond's canon universe, but idk how I'd go about doing that - unless!!!!! Thor finally catches wind of what's happening and offers to take Desmond to Asgard (Bucky too cause he's not leaving this poor guy all by himself). I guess that could still happen, but it could be like a failed escape attempt? And after that, Loki gets involved in trying to help Desmond or something? I'm hesitant to give Desmond more people who want to help - I feel like that makes it less dark? And if I write this thing I'm going whole-hog like it's gonna make me sick to write it I bet lmao someone help me
idk I haven't really thought about a coherent plot line, just this absolute nightmare scenario lmao
anyway if this sounds like something you'd wanna read please tell me!!! I have so many ideas for this but I don't wanna write and post it if nobody wants it, yknow?
