Let's talk about how Percy is not only extremely coded as a femme trans woman who tries to act like a 'manly' cis dude out of repression and trauma based off her personality alone but how it also shows in her relathionships with the other female characters-Her girlfriend is the most lesbian-coded girl in the entire franchise aside from the intentional lesbians AND a tomboy/baby butch to boot,her ex is while not exactly coded a LOT like irl lesbians too and they remained best friends post-breakup which is an extremely common experience among eggs and their cis girl friends,her other two potential female love interests(Calypso and Reyna)also heavily reflect lesbian experiences-and that means EVERY SINGLE GIRL THAT HAS HAD A CRUSH ON PERCY is sapphic,this one is just me and i don't exactly ship them but i can see Clarisse being into exactly one 'guy' and it ain't Chris and her admiration and intial envy of Thalia works for this too since Thalia herself has an insane amount of tgirl swag in design and personality AND story.And the kicker?Even if you take into account Percy's relathionships with the male characters she gets shipped with most,Luke's abuse of her parallels his of the other girls,Jason's been reinforced as straight multiple times so you wouldn't even have to go against canon to make Jercy work and Nico-The Riordanverse's first canon gay-stopped crushing on her SPECIFICALLY because she's not 'the ideal man' like he thought she was.Persephone 'Percy' 'Ocean Girl' Amelia Jackson you are so fucking real

Using words like Devastating and Euphoric to describe being lesbian is such a lesbian thing to do and I could talk about it forever.

Because we’ve been treated like shit from a community we’re supposed to find comfort in. And people keep trying to change the meaning of lesbian to be “more inclusive!” but all it does is waters down what we fought for. I’m not talking about non-binary lesbians, (I am one) but the people who say shit like “lesbians can have a preference for d*ck!” And stuff like that.

Because not only does that reek of fetishizing trans people, but I’ve never seen people saying gay men can like vaginas (though the way some seem to be obsessed with female anatomy is another conversation) but it’s always the lesbians. People taking over lesbian VISIBILITY week with heartstopper, people stealing the lesbian apocalypse and saying shit like “lesbians don’t deserve to be at the top of the lgbtq list” despite not knowing the history behind why and how we saved half of y’all’s asses.

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. Because being lesbian is such a unique experience and nobody gets it. Not even the gays. Because they’ve never experienced comphet, or the hatred inside the community. Because they’re loved by everyone. Because it’s men, not women. It never is. Lesbian shows get canceled after one season, people censoring the word lesbian, etc. it’s always against us, and from everyone.

But there’s also the other side of it.

The part that can’t decide to if I should move to a cottage and wear dresses with floaty bottoms, high waists, and flowery prints while laying in a wildflower field. A LESBIAN stereotype, and my lesbian ass’ dream. Or if I should move to NYC, get a studio apartment to share with my painter gf while I work as an author and we ride around on a motorcycle. The butch and fem parts of me, the LESBIAN PARTS OF ME.

Women are so amazing. And only women/non men. I don’t want men in my romantic life and it’s such a happy thought for me. And that’s what makes me euphoric because I’m comfortable in myself, because being a lesbian is more than just a small part of myself. It’s dictated my friends, partners, everything. And I’ll be dammed if I get hate for making it my whole personality when people have gone and done that for me.

Was there a time when I wasn’t comfortable in myself? Yes, of course. But now I am. My LESBIAN self. I’m so proud to love women. Boobs are perfect and you won’t hear me being ashamed to admit that, even if I’m ace lmao. And we’re (mostly) a tight knit community, which brings me so much comfort. I love lesbians, being lesbian, lesbians in media, lesbian couples, everything lesbian. And I’m so happy with it.

Ooooo yesss thx for asking I have sooooo many ok let’s start

First, Reyna has the longest and THICKEST hair known to mankind Thalia love playing with her hair so soon enough she starts watching tutorials and then Reyna just walks around with the MOST intricate hairstyles ever.

Second, Thalia’s hair starts to grow out and it get in her face and when she’s fighting that’s going to be bad so Reyna takes matters into her own hands and decides to let Thalia pick a haircut and Reyna would cut her hair because she used to work for Circe and can do hair really well so when Thalia’s hair starts getting too long she tells Reyna what she wants and Reyna cuts her hair for her.

Third, one night Thalia wakes up in a cold sweat from a nightmare and so Reyna starts stirring and wakes up she finally gets Thalia to relax and tries to get her to sleep again Reyna having grew up near sirens cuz she was working for Circe softly sang Thalia back to bed and when the same thing happens to Reyna Thalia does the same thing so when one of them wakes up from a nightmare the other calms them down and sings them to sleep.

Lastly, Reyna’s love language is food so when Thalia is upset or just really tired Reyna just whips up the BEST tasting food in the entire universe and Thalia wonders how she got so lucky to have Reyna.

Percy Jackson is not an idiot just because Annabeth calls him one and he's proved he's much smarter than everyone thinks he is by forming impressive plans that saved the day many times.

Percy Jackson is not a goofball and his sense of humor steering into silly territories sometimes dosen't change the facts that he's canonically described as having inhereted Poseidon's intimidating apperance,that he can be very brutal in fights with the right-or rather wrong-opponent(him choking a goddess with her own poison anyone?)and is as pessimistic as local emos Thalia and Nico.

Percy Jackson should've been allowed to stay friends with Rachel Elizabeth Dare and keep the safe haven of normalcy and easygoingness he'd always wanted that her friendship gave him.

Percy Jackson could not care less if any of the rest of The Big Three Kids are stronger than him because power dosen't matter to him and he would never want to be a god.

Percy Jackson would not be romantically interested in people much older than him,because he'd been used and abused by almost every adult in his life when he was growing up and them being 'hot' or whatever dosen't matter to him,because he has standards.

Percy Jackson shouldn't be in a relathionship with Annabeth Chase-Neither of them have any reason to be attracted to eachother and they have a found siblings who bicker dynamic but everyone kept telling them they were soulmates instead of asking them what they actually wanted so they just believed them.Annabeth should've been a butch lesbian and dated Piper and Reyna and Percy should have been allowed to figure himself out more before being shoved in a romantic relathionship for the sake of cisheteronormativity.
