Honestly I feel like people holding out hope that Tech was really alive and hadn’t died is exactly something Hunter, Wrecker, Omega, and Crosshair would do. None of them really talked about Tech being dead because they didn’t want to admit it out loud. Because saying it out loud made it true.
Until Crosshair finally said it, “Clone Force 99 died with Tech!”
He finally admitted that Tech was dead. Gone. He wasn’t coming back, he wasn’t going to miraculously be alive somehow. To me, that sentence sealed the question on if he was alive or dead.
I did have some hope that Tech could still be CX-2, especially after that one clone said the training room was for clones Hemlock deemed useful. And Tech would’ve certainly been useful.
But it felt just so final when Crosshair said that phrase, and I feel like that’s exactly how the writers meant for it to sound. It was a blunt statement, harsh in a way, but it was something that needed to be said. I get the impression none of them talked about Tech being gone. He just was.
But, as I’ve said so many times before, clones don’t have ways of dealing with mental health. They were never taught to talk about things because it was always assumed none of the deaths and trauma they would experience would impact them.

Satine Kryze in the All Is Well AU
More info under the cut
If you don’t know how Mandalore works is this AU here is the post that explains it, if you do know then here we go:
Young Lady of House Kryze (9 y.o.)
Her mother was half Diathim, making Satine and Bo-Katan 1/4 Diathim.
Bo got the less genes and inherited none of the powers, while Satine not only looked just like her mother, but also got the natural bio-luminescence of the specie.
She had some troubles controlling it, but as she got older she managed to have it under control.
It's not a huge glow, barely noticeable in the sun, but in a dim place as the Assembly Hall it sure is eye-catching.
Her and Bo have a 17 years difference between them, so the only company she had in her childhood were her parents and some cousins.
Member of the Assembly of the People (17 y.o.)
After completing her Verd’goten at 13, she decided to start her political career as soon as possible, getting her place as Member of the Assembly of the People as representative of House Kryze at the age of 15, making her the youngest member in over 70 years.
For years she proudly wore the colours and crest of her House on her armour.
She got the scar on her cheek form a fight with Obi-Wan when they were 15.
Basically when she became member of the Assembly and the new Governors were elected, the Republic sent some Jedi ambassadors to meet them, some arguments started to happen, and then the Mandos and the Jedi started to fight, and in the middle of that mess Satine and Obi beat the shit out of each other.
Obi has a matching scar on his other cheek.
Governor of the Unified Children of Mandalore (38 y.o.)
She became Governor alongside Arla Fett at the age of 35, after compliting her 20 years tenure as member of the Assembly.
When one becomes Governor they have to strip the paint off their beskar'gam, so to keep her House colours in some way, Satine started to wear the clothing under it with those exact colours.
Arla does the same thing.
For the ten years she and Arla governed they managed to give more free will to the Mandalorian colonies, such as Concord Dawn or Ordo, giving them more space and voice in the Assembly.
They formed commercial alliances with pacific planets such as Naboo and Theret, who always looked with some suspicion towards Mandalore.
They strengthened the thin friendship between the Mandalorians and the Jedi.
Overall it was a prosperous decade.

Star Wars day to day lore is so funny to me cuz whoever invented calendars decided to name a day of the week after a tree-moose-chimpanzee who gives vague answers and occasionally takes the form of a thunderstorm
and apparently no one actually knew this dude existed cuz when our favorite alcoholic space dad met him for the first time even he had no idea what was going on
so like imagine that Wednesday is actually named after the mythical being Wednes, who is part alligator and part raspberry bush who is the neutral energy of the universe and ALSO yeets people as a hobby and talks only in tumblr shitposts
and he’s the one that’s supposed to help you on your quest

I think CX-2 was meant to represent Crosshair‘s demons, seeing as he was most personal fighting against him. He was all that Crosshair feared and in the end even pretty much took all he stood for away from him (his sniper abilities).
Who he ended up to be doesn’t matter, it’s rather what he meant.

My pieces for Rex quondam, Rex futurus (The Once and Future Rex) for @swbigbang! I teamed up with Zarz, who wrote the fic, and Shadowsong26, who beta’d said fic, and I had a blast working with them! Check out the fic to see what’s happening here.
Once upon a time, on a faraway planetoid (or maybe moon, or possibly asteroid – the tales disagreed), there was a man. Some versions of the story said “soldier,” others “leader,” and one or two went as far as “king.” Regardless, this leader, and some of (a few of, many of, hundreds of) his followers were there, asleep. Waiting. In the galaxy’s darkest hour, when all hope was lost, they would wake from their slumber and return, defeating all evil that threatened the galaxy.
Rex never intended to become part of a fairy tale. But with Order 66 happening around them and all the troopers of the 332nd about to kill them, Rex and Ahsoka are willing to do whatever it takes to keep everyone alive. A slightly different trajectory through space leads to a very different landing for the 332nd, and a very different trajectory for Ahsoka, Rex, and the galaxy.
