I'm currently $980 usd in debt and sincerely struggling a lot. I'm jobless since the beginning of the year, and it's been hard to even find freelance jobs lately.

Help an inspiring business owner?

Hello, for a little under a year now, I’ve started my own business. I sell hand made art dolls, by reusing old plushies and teddy bears, and giving them a new face and a new style. Here are a few examples of my work :

The idea behind it is to give unloved toys a new life, a new style, and eventually a new owner. It’s also meant to represent the process of growing up: you change, you affirm yourself, you maybe lose people you used to be close to but in return you might make life lasting bonds

Thing is, I’m still a student, in a line of studies that doesn’t allow me to pick up a consistent job on the side. This means I don’t have the money to keep up my business, and can’t have access to state help either due to a complicated financial situation.

What I’m asking for is for support. If you reblog this post, take a look at my Etsy page (down below) and leave a heart, or visit my Instagram page (Instagram is my main account for my business, and with the recent update, a small art account like mine is getting basically no traction) and engage, it would mean the world to me and maybe even save my dream.

Hey, Y'all!

Just an update on what I'm up to atm.

I'm still unable to work since having Covid last fall. My fatigue continues but it seems like I keep developing new mystery ailments that are evading diagnosis and don't seem to be affected by medication. I'd like to keep trying to solve them so I can get my life back but, as I'm sure you can imagine, specialists and procedures and medication are expensive, especially for someone who can't work. Which leads me to my next point:

I've just released new art and jewelry in my shop!

I've got handmade jewelry, new curiosities, a new birthday card design, and everything that I previously had, as well! Go check it out!

Okay tumblr so I've done the math and this month, if I spend zero additional monies on "short term purchases like groceries" I only need $400 to make ends meet this month! I am working and I'm making a little more this month than last, but progress is still slow going. I'm thinking about opening commissions, but I'm not sure how well that will turn out. I'm still incredibly burnt out, and my mental health and sleep have been absolute shit after having to quit my antidepressants cold turkey. (The lexapro withdrawls are BAD) I'm also on the hunt for another better paying job, but shit in my area is shit. This is mostly for me to keep track of my process, but if you have the means, even a dollar will help my progress greatly! If not some positivity in my asks would also be appreciated! Xoxo
