you know im starting to think that all this mulling over the disparity and intersectionality inheret to yin and yang and the four elements is less of a hobby funtime hyperfixation and more like a. im discovering the source of my ideology and spirituality
#talk#recently ive been realizing that playing with the different combinations of#active yin and yang (the self. action. by the means of. water and fire)#and passive yin and yang (the world. perception. for the purpose of. earth and air)#and the different paths that a person can take on their journey to reach understanding of all four elements#is a fantastic way to imagine up three dimensional characters. locations. histories. cultures. arcs. stories.#even after achieving all four elements; how do the elements that a character began with that most identify that character?#which elements does a person have? which elements are they missing? how does this create conflict?#line up the elements of a locale (a vast night city. practically unknowable via all its small pieces but easily perceptible as a whole.#THE WORLD. the earth is the foundation of the city. buildings. networks. infrastructure. the air is the freedom of the city.#people doing as they please. gusts of wind blowing on rooftops. lights beaming and flickering separately but as a whole)#with an arc that your character(s) need to experience to learn an element (for characters who have yet to understand the pure#vastness of the world [no earth or air]. for characters who love the freedom but cant stand the form that its built on [only air].#for characters who are familiar with the infrastructure but dont know how to set themselves loose into what it offers [only earth].#and then characters who are equipped to embrace the city in full and offer guidance to the other characters when prompted [earth and air])#ive been setting my mind LOOSE in it and the ONLY thing that i get is interesting and dynamic and real ideas.#it is an absolute story building gold mine and it is by design that its a gold mine

Astrology transit
*Summer solstice 21/6
The summer solstice marks the start of Cancer season in astrology. At the solstice, the Sun appears to pass directly over the Tropic of Cancer. This is the moment when astrologers say that the Sun has “entered” Cancer, meaning that it’s now traveling through the part of the zodiac band represented by Cancer.
Each “season” lasts about 30 days, but the solstice always coincides with the sign of the Crab.
In astrology, the Sun is associated with the active yang principle. But here’s the paradox: The Cancer zodiac sign rules the receptive yin principle and is governed by the emotional moon. So we have the forthright Sun stopping in its tracks to usher in a new, flowy solar cycle.
This is the ideal time to consider ways we can balance the yin and yang forces in our lives.
Where could you use a little more gentle, receptivity? Where could you yang it up and put in more action-oriented, decisive energy?
We all contain both energies within us. In an age where humans are becoming more fluid and redefined than ever, the summer solstice is an awesome moment to widen our notions of what that means for us.
Activities for today :
* Do something with the elements: fire to honor the Sun (bonfire anyone?),
the Earth (flower crowns: they’re not just for Coachella!)
and water for Cancer, which is a water sign (swimming, a signature solstice drink, a cleansing bath).
*Aries - Focus in your home & family.
*Taurus - Focus on your neighbourhood & reconnect with siblings. Communicate.
*Cancer - You will strengthen your relationships.
*Leo - Focus on self- care, pamper , heal. Isolate.
*Virgo - Focus turns towards your friends, making new ones & getting involved in your community.
*Libra - You will focus on your career. You might shine this period. Recognition.
*Scorpio - You might travel, learn something new. Become more spiritual.
*Sagittarius- You might work behind the scenes. You might take care of taxes & debts.
*Capricorn - Your relationships are super important to you now. Reconciliation.
*Aquarius- You might start a new exercise regimen or book a dentist or consult a nutritionist.
*Pisces- Focus on kids & fun. Bring more creative and meeting a new love interest!

BASIC ASTROLOGY 🐉
Zodiac signs- environments that planets occupy which affect how they express themselves.
Six components that go into the zodiac signs
1. Element- air, fire, earth, water.
2. Modalities- cardinal, fixed, mutable.
3. Image- figure or symbol associated with the sign. (The constellation! Aries is a ram, they act ram like. Taurus is the bull, they act more bull like.)
4. Sign expression- how they carry, talk or express themselves. Feral( Leo and last half of Sagittarius) bestial (Aires and first half of Sagittarius) humane (Gemini, Virgo, libra, Aquarius) domestic (Capricorn and taurus) mute ( cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)
5. Polarity- masculine or feminine. Active of passive. Yin or yang. Masculine (passive) - fire and air signs. Feminine (active)- earth and water signs.
6. Planetary ruler- the planet that is said to rule the signs. (Mars rules Aries, Taurus is Venus)
Planetary rulers
SIGNS DO NOT RULE THINGS. PLANETS RULE SIGNS. The qualities of these planets are more influential when planets are positioned Therin. Being ruled by a planet means the planets energy has a powerful influence on personalities.
Mars ♂- Aries and Scorpio. Masculine. Action and progression. Go forth and conquer. Firey and intense.
Venus ♀- Taurus and libra. Feminine and fluid. Refinement and grace. Love for beauty, finer things. The senses.
Mercury ☿- Gemini and Virgo. Good communicators. Communication planet. If your sign falls here, you are a good communicator.
Sun ☉- (Leo) your ego. How you carry yourself.
Moon ☾ - cancer
Jupiter ♃- Sagittarius and Pisces
Saturn ♄- Capricorn and Aquarius
I am a (sun sign) with the soul of a (moon sign) wearing the mask of a (rising)
☀️Sun sign- (represents your mother) most commonly associated with astrology. (The one you already know) deepest part of you! What season the sun was in when you were born. Essence of who you are. Most important. Doesn’t represent your emotions, or how you love. You may not feel like you relate to this. But you have other more dominant signs in your birth chart. A big part of you, but definitely not all of you.
⬆️Rising- (the sign that was rising over the horizon at your time of birth) what people first meet. This would be how people view you at a party. What you seem like on the surface.
🌙Moon- (represents your father) emotional side. Where the moon was placed during your time of birth. How you process your emotions.
Mercury- usually the same as sun. Planet of communication. Whatever sign this is is indicative of how you communicate with others.
Venus- how you love or build relationships. Beauty and material items. Whatever signs you have here dictates these aspects of your life. Don’t use sun for compatibility, use Venus!
Mars- anger, aggression and motivation.
Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune are generational planets. Which means they take years to move out of signs. You probably have the same signs in these houses as your friends. This means these planets aren’t so much about the sign but the houses they are in.
Jupiter placement- where you will see the most good luck and expansion in your life.
Saturn placement- restrictions. Luck with finances and inheritance.
Uranus- uniqueness and differences. Weirdness and quirkiness. Where in your life you will see the most uniqueness.
Neptune- blurriness, fogginess, confusion.
Pluto- placement of this house will deforming what areas of your life are most intense. Might even be obsessed with the power struggle associated with that house.
The 12 houses
Whatever sign/ planet you have in each house determines your issues and prosperity’s in each area of your life.
1. Appearance, outward personality. The House of the Ascendant, it’s on the left side of your chart. The sign, or signs, in this House as well as the planets tell you about the self and your appearance. Leadership, new initiatives, fresh starts and beginnings are also covered by this house. (Ruled by Aries)
2. Money, possessions, values and skills. This house is related to your material environment, like taste, smells, sound, touch, sight but it also rules income, money, and self-esteem. (Ruled by Taurus)
3. Mental activity, learning, siblings, communication. The third house rules all forms of communication - talking, thinking, social medias. It’s also related to siblings, your neighborhood, libraries, schools, teachers and community affairs. (Ruled by Gemini)
4. Home, parents, roots, inner security. This house sits at the bottom of the chart and is known to be the House of the Foundations, because it rules your home, privacy, parents and your relationship with them (especially with your mother), children and your predisposition to have some. (Ruled by Cancer)
5. Romance, children, fun, creativity. The fifth house governs self-expression, drama, creativity, color, attention, romance, fun and play. You can find great insight about your love life in this house! (Ruled by Leo)
6. Work, health, service and self improvement. Taking a look at this house you will know more about your personal organization, schedules, routines, fitness, diet and exercise. Here you will also discover if you will be selfless, a friend that fights for their loved ones. (Ruled by Virgo)
7. Marriage and partnerships. The seventh house is the sector of relationships and other people. It governs all partnerships, both business and personal, and relationship-associated matters, like contracts, marriage, and business deals. (Ruled by Libra)
8. Sex, death, letting go, regenerations, other people’s money and sharing. This house is found on the right, and is probably the most mysterious as it rules birth, death, sex, transformation, energies, and bonding at the deepest level. Let’s remember that the 8th sign, Scorpio, is ruled by both Mars and Pluto so of course this house is as intriguing as the sign is. The eighth house also rules other people’s property and money. (Ruled by Scorpio)
9. Higher education, philosophy, publishing, religion, travel and law.  The ninth house is related to the higher mind, expansion, international and long-distance travel, foreign languages, inspiration, optimism, universities and higher education, luck, risk, adventure, gambling, religion, philosophy, morals and ethics. EDs are also pointed out here. (Ruled by Sagittarius)
10. Career, status, reputation, vocational purpose, power. The House of Midheaven, the tenth house is at the top of the chart and it covers traditions, public image, fame, honors, achievements, boundaries, discipline, authority and fathers, as Saturn represents The Father. It also shows which would be the best career path for you. (Ruled by Capricorn)
11. Friends, groups, goals, aspirations. The eleventh house rules friendships, society, technology, video and electronic media, networking, social justice, rebellion, and humanitarian causes. It also rules originality, eccentricity, sudden events, surprises, invention, astronomy, science and futuristic views. (Ruled by Aquarius)
12. Solitude, institutions, self sabotage and transcendence. The chart ends with the twelfth house, which (obviously) rules endings. This house covers the final stages of a project, the afterlife, old age, and surrender. It’s also associated with separation from society, institutions, hospitals, jails and secret enemies. However, it rules imagination, creativity and arts in general, and the subconscious mind. (Ruled by Pisces).
Not all houses will be rules by planets. They can be empty, this is okay!
MODALITIES
Cardinal | Fixed| Mutable
These derive from the seasons. Cardinal signs begin seasons, pass them on to the fixed signs which maintain the season, mutable signs are a mix of both seasons. (Aries begins spring, when the sun moves into Taurus its “spring at its peak”. And when sun moves into Gemini spring mixes with summer.)
🧨Cardinal- (Aries, cancer, libra, Capricorn)
Starting things. Self motivated. Ambitious, driven. But these signs don’t always follow through and finish. Historically referred to as “moveable” Forward moving. They don’t always finish, they’re always looking for the next thing. They’ll jump from focus to focus without following through. Easily led to new things. Initiator but not the leader.
Aries is a fire sign, so it expresses cardinal qualities in a fiery way. Cancer is cardinal but is a water sign, so this shows in emotions. (Moody) libra is cardinal but is an air sign, so cardinal is exhibited in social connections. Capricorn is cardinal but also earth, so this is seen in their practical grounded matters.
🏔Fixed- (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Stands ones ground. Consolidate.
Slower, stubborn, rigid. Set in their ways. Loyal, dependable. Always do their job. Not wild cards. Taurus is earth, so fixity is seen as stubborn, likes its comfort zone. In the tangible realm. Leo’s fixed nature comes through the fire element . This is where you see leadership qualities, and “look at me” qualities. Seen as a beacon. Also in a territorial nature. Scorpios fixed nature comes through water. This is where the stereotype of secretiveness. They like to contain and keep emotions behind a wall. They like to hold onto their emotions. Aquarius’ fixed sign comes through air. They love to exist in the idea realm, but once they find an idea they maintain it in a fixed way.
🧶Mutable- (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Adaptable and flexible. Can fill whatever need is there. Can be seen as flaky. Gemini is air so mutability is seen in exchange of ideas and communication. Virgo expressed mutable characteristics through the earth element. So it is seen in much more tangible and practice ways. They can reorganize and restructure well. Sagittarius expresses mutability through fire. Adaptability and flexibility of mutable, and energy and passion through fire. They are often known to be down for anything, pick up and head out the door. Pisces shows mutability though water. So it is typically shown in emotions or feelings. This can lead to Pisces being viewed as “wishy washy” or not knowing what they’re feeling. They try to adapt to everyone else’s feelings (mutability) but because of the constant movement of water they don’t really know what they’re feeling on their own.

Still steaming in the energy of the overarching solstice sun rays, this New Moon in cancer will have you blissfully forgetting any of the struggles of the very conflicted Capricorn dominated conversations of the last Full Moon. In the wake and bake of the solstice, our Yang energy gets an overdrive that manifests in contrasting ways. Looking at your focuses on this way down the epic landslide of energy will open up gates of knowledge to understandings about your true identity. With Saturn coming into center with Aquarius soon, and Jupiter hitting retrograde in Aquarius on July 28th, your inner databanks are getting a major makeover Queer Eye style.
Much of this reorganization will center around how we collectively feel about ourselves individually, our responsibilities for our words and actions in our communities, and how we plan to make real-time changes to our “Ways” in order to contribute to grand legacies. Legacies themselves will undergo a transformation of definition. We can thank good old Venus opposing Saturn in Aquarius for this. But, unlike the “tower of babble” moment, the scenarios brought up by this New Moon will have your communication systems recalibrating towards epic achievements of the mind/body/spirit varieties. It’s all about Love, your memories of it, the ways you’ve embodied it, and the sacrifices made for it. Some of those sacrifices are coming full circle, and in the New Moon, this will be mostly felt by the Yin collective consciousness as a major relief. If you’re feeling unbalanced on the 10th, try to focus on activities that bring you comfort and ease your mind. This act may feel like a true moment of spiritual rebellion.
There’s a lot of hope in this moon, cradled by Cancers’ warm and loving waters. The “Home” is pivotal to this Moon’s inherent cleansing cycle, which may bring up dust and twigs swept under the rug. The idea of responsibility for our actions is heightened. We will all be challenged to face our own idiosyncrasies and dualities. This appears to be a long standing theme we’re all checking in and out of repeatedly until Neptune stations direct in Pisces on December 1st 2021. This very slow moving energy feels like a drum out of rhythm with our daily lives. Individually we are learning to tune into deeper vibrations of our own, and tune out wavelengths disruptive to our growth. This moon is a good time to move your body to healing sounds that help you manifest the emotional experiences attached to your not yet manifested dreams, hopes, prayers, and altar work.
Aries:
My fiery frequencies have been running too hot. I find places to release my steam that are quiet, dark, and all my own. Whether in the outside world, or my inner mind palace, I find slices of shade are my delight. I desire a type of self-synergy that can only be activated in the realms of the subconscious, and I make time to rest in the ways that make these new synapses happen. I want to learn and grow, and I’m giving myself the space to honor the eternal internal scholar within myself.
Taurus:
I’ve been typecasting my own archetype for some time, and I’ve realized those imprints have become outdated. I do not fear the revelation of my Cosmic Face to my own self, but rather look forward to the introduction of myself to Myself. I find ways to greet my emerging identity by balancing my time with friends and family. I take the time to meditate on what I am agreeing to when I go along with the herds. I respect my self sovereignty enough to reject projections on my personhood. I take responsibility for my own reflections on others, and these actions allow me to accept myself in any situation. I release all concepts of my empathic or psychic nature as negative, and allow the gifts I have been given to garnish me with life’s abundances.
Gemini:
I’m preparing for my mic drop moment. I’ve been writing bars and aiming for the stars, and I feel it coming. Not sure what, not sure when, but this moon is bringing mojo. I sense the message I was meant to embody is being written deeply inside me by a host of ghosts and ancestors ready to protect my destiny. Things are feeling extra cosmic, and I can almost feel my future touching me from time to time. I let myself enjoy my dreaming time, and this New Moon gives me a place to hide my secret poems and self reflections. There’s a softness coming over me, and I feel comfortable allowing myself to relax into the knowledge that my creative genius isn’t just valuable, it’s real.
Cancer:
The cycle of filling and emptying feels extra powerful under this New Moon. Elevated by this lunation, I use this dark moon to focus on the moments in-between. In this meditation, the world opens up a new concept of Time to me. In this knowledge I am able to reconstruct my psychological leanings away from worst-case-scenario and anxiety -laden secret self conversations. I don’t need to look outside myself for cues from the pack, and I am comfortable asserting my authoritative genius when applicable. This acknowledgement of my self-worth and efficacy gives me awareness that assists my community and gives others much needed moments of Hope & Joy.
Leo:
Things feel saucy in the right ways this new moon. Yin and Yang are focused on balancing my section of the sky’s influences this lunation cycle. Sometimes I feel the tug of my shadow side urging me to use my head AND my heart. Although I feel driven by the power of my heart center, and the emotions of my inner oceans, I find time to stop and ask myself “is this what I really want?”. When I allow myself to acknowledge the influences beckoning me to overspend my creative and sexual resources, I am able to find my personal zen. I discover new secret distractions in the everyday experience of relating and existing in community and friendship. I’m learning to tune my volume to the right settings, and this allows my audience to hear me clearly. Clarity has become increasingly important to me, as discernment makes me feel centered. This moon I use the dark hours to clear my mind, and calm my heart.
Virgo:
The quiet emptying of this New Moon secretly invites me to advocate for my silent needs in ways that feel safe to me. I practice self loyalty regularly, and renew my vows to my internal compass under the protection of the current skies. I know that moments like this aren’t always accessible, so when they are, I congratulate myself for my good luck. Spending time with private projects makes me feel centered and focused in ways that empower me. I use this darkened moon to look at my private world with a gentle eye. I know that my goals are just an echo of desires I’m learning to advocate for. Finding words for my journey helps me understand myself the way I wish to be understood.
Libra:
I am allowing myself to be seen and appreciated by myself. When I take the time to be in relationship with myself, my moods, and my memories, I find a special center. I’m manifesting a reality where my sense of self is solidified and appreciated by myself first and foremost. Through my self manifestation work, I am becoming aware and knowledgeable of the long history and sacrifices of those who came before me. I use this awareness to build gratitude within my heart center for myself and anyone else who shares in my archetype. My focus on self-healing is a radical step in my generational efforts in this timeline. I am an important person, and I tell myself so often.
Scorpio:
I am quietly waiting for new moments to try out my newfound knowledge. I’ve been watching and observing, but now it is my time to act. I take the reins of my destiny, and I do not apologize to the previous carriage driver. I know the power of an apology, which is why I know when one is owed or not. I do not need to struggle with power games that play in the psychopomp of the collective, and am my own sovereign spiritual space. I trust that my future is held in love & beauty and is supported by the generations of ancestors present on all planes. I am using this dark moon to get in touch with my essence and knowledge of my true self.
Sagittarius:
This New Moon I am shedding responsibilities that have become recognizably not-mine. With this awareness has come the revelation of what is mine to control, and what is mine to let go. I accept the blessings of my responsibilities as the reason I am able to hold space for myself in my own life. I do not allow others to speak on my behalf, and use my voice to set the story straight. I use my energy for higher purposes and don’t have space this lunation to be dragged into any conflicts. I use my arrow to draw solid lines in the sand about which energetics I’m willing to play with. I promise myself to treat myself with compassion daily, especially as I outgrow scenarios and scenes that just ain’t me.
Capricorn:
I’m learning how to define karma for myself, and this New Moon is giving me a lot to think about. I understand that if I wish to heal, I must practice kindness towards myself. When I notice the mean monsters arrive in the darkness of night, I use my practical wisdom to ward them off. I’m noticing that fear doesn’t have as much power as I once imagined, and I’ve been slaying small demons like candycrush. This lunation I allow a space for the internal/external conflicts to find a cease-fire, and I find myself enjoying new mental quiet. I’m learning to trust the process of letting go, and this small cycle feels like the period at the end of a sentence.
Aquarius:
The labyrinths of my inner circuit board are asking me if I’ve tried turning it off and turning it back on again. When I consider my own off/on switch, I contemplate who I give access to it. When my triggers are alarming, I respect myself enough to take the time to respond carefully to my own messages. I acknowledge the wiring of the ancient ones, and use the ancient technology of this Moon to allow my power centers to upgrade. My dreamtime is especially sacred to me in these moments, and I use this lunation to discern important inner truths. I do not need to fear when I have premonitions, but instead, refocus that awareness on trusting my own intuition first and foremost.
Pisces:
This New Moon I let out a deep sigh of relief. In the feelings of stuckness and frustration, I’ve discovered hidden patterns of life. As I discover which patterns benefit me the most, I learn to recalibrate my channels to an easier stream. This work opens me to timelines I may not have previously considered when vision-boarding and manifesting dreams. I thank the spiritual abbacus for working out ancient calculations this New Moon. I give gratitude when my supplies are distributed exactly how, where, and when they will make the greatest impact for my ultimate visionings.

Magick: Guide To learning
This post is not entirely completed but it is a rough outline of how I would go about setting up this system. It will be added to as I find more information.
This is a general guide for magick based on my understandings and practices and what I have found to be helpful at each level of development. This scale starts at absolute no knowledge, and goes up to an individual with a practice that can now expand outwards learning everything. This is not done with any other form of tradition rather than mine, and is based on the general understanding of magick, and is to better help with understanding the question of where do I start. you do not need to finish everything in one stage before moving onto another one. what is recommended that you finish as much as possible, because one stage feeds on to the next one. This post is also broken up into my categories of magic. These being Pyrosophic, geosophic, hydrosophic, and aerosophic.
Pyrosophic:
Pyrosophic is associated to the element of fire. Pyrosophic forms of magick, and understanding are fundamental, and active. They are sources that emanate outwards, and act as axioms, and supports for other knowledge, and practices. They are simple, but effective, and are the first things I believe a practitioner should know when they are starting out learning magick. Pyrosophic is very knowledge-based, and energetically based, and it is the foundation that we build upon all other knowledge. It is the first emanation of any particular knowledge, before it incorporates any other advanced features. It contains a lot of beginner information, and energy work.
Geosophic:
Geosophic is associated to the element of earth. Geosophic are things that are a little bit more complicated, and work off the understandings that are figured out in pyrosophic. It takes the fundamental understandings, and gives you tools in order to advance what you already have. Geosophic builds upon the foundation that was solidified by pyrosophic, and makes it a little bit more complicated bringing in object, symbols, and correspondences to work with. A lot of forms of folk magic, and thaumaturgy are going to be here in this category, because of its incorporation of tools, and symbols to manifest it’s desires.
Hydrosophic:
Hydrosophic is associated to the element of water. Hydrosophic focuses on internal knowledge through the acts of meditation, and altered states of consciousness. It allows you to learn more about yourself, and the inner workings of you through the practices, and understandings that it holds. This encompasses everything that takes place within, and that interacts with the inner being that is you.
Aerosophic:
Aerosophic is associated to the element of air. Aerosophic encompasses understandings, and the practices of theurgy, and the higher knowledge of the universe, and source. It is focused on understanding the outer world beyond the practitioner. This encompasses everything that takes place without, and looks for the higher meaning in the whole of reality.
Once you reach the final level of adept you are able to go out, and begin staying in learning even more knowing that you have the foundations of a practice. Other things you may also want to learn about that may help you on your path are Philosophy, Science, History, Psychology, Religious Studies, language, and culture.

Taurus Compatibility - The Best and Worst Match
New Post has been published on https://www.astrology-india.com/taurus-compatibility/
Taurus Compatibility - The Best and Worst Match
If you are lucky enough to have a Taurus in your life, then you already know what I am about to tell you.
Smart, friendly, and down to earth, the Taurus is a likely partner-in-conversation for just about anything from serious life advice to humorous banter.
Those born under the sign of Taurus are known throughout the zodiac as being trustworthy and dependable.
They come through in the clutch. Add in some friendliness and warmth for good seasoning and you got yourself a bull.
Ruled by Venus, the planet of love, it is not unheard of for the Taurus to partake in sensuality, even hedonism.
However, the bull seems to keep it in check, being well-grounded, practical, and focused on achieving their goals.
As a fixed sign, the Taurus is driven and determined.
They also have a reputation for being stubborn and even quick to temper, but let’s be clear here, you did not hear that from me. The Taurus is usually hardworking and committed. From love to career, they seem to know what they want and are fueled by stars to go and get it.
Below is everything you need to know about which zodiac signs are best and least suited for Taurus compatibility based on sun signs alone.
For the most accurate description regarding compatibility, it is important to understand your complete natal chart.
The Best Taurus Compatibility Matches
Taurus Compatibility is the best with their fellow earth signs who all value hard work, goals, and staying at home together.
The Taurus can be a winning combo with two of the sensitive and intelligent water signs as we will see below.
Taurus and Capricorn
The combination of Taurus and Capricorn is the power-couple of the zodiac.
Both hardworking, intelligent, and friendly signs, these two in love could take over the world if they desired to.
If the bull wanted a run for their money concerning stubbornness, Capricorn the goat can deliver.
This is a good thing, though. Both the Taurus and the Capricorn understand that the whole “stubborn” thing is an unfair critique anyway.
They both know that it is their devotion and commitment that people mistake the stubbornness for.
And this devotion? Well, it is for their friends, loved ones, family, careers, and their goals.
In my opinion, things that are well-worth being stubborn for and Capricorn/Taurus compatibility is excellent because these two share the same values.
The Capricorn is a bit more driven than the Taurus, who does not complain about taking it easy and indulging occasionally. The Capricorn digs all of that too.
So, when the more dominant and driven goat tires themselves out in the endless pursuit of achieving their goals, the sensual Taurus will be right there with dinner on the stove, the candles lit, and a good movie on deck.
Taurus and Virgo
The Taurus is sweet, and the Virgo is sensitive, no two sun signs could be more nurturing of each other.
Both signs are practical and hardworking and these two likely share the same priorities: loyalty to their partner, family, career, and staying at home.
Taurus compatibility with Virgo works so well because of some of the contrast of the two signs and the balance that they feed each other.
The Taurus is fixed and grounded. The bull is self-assured and proud. On the other hand, Virgo is a mutable sign who is known for being critical and sometimes goes off the deep end with worry.
In this harmoniously balanced relationship, the bull shows the over-analytical Virgo how to stay grounded and the Virgo keeps the Taurus in check when they go off into over-indulgence.
The Virgo knows how to get things done and will help the Taurus to focus and make their dreams into a reality.
In the bedroom, the Taurus will be much more open, as a sensual and physical sun sign. The Virgo is much more subdued.
This sun sign relationship is built on loyalty, so this is a good yin and yang balance if both parties share that deep connection.
Taurus and Cancer
What happens when two possessive, yet devoted sun signs meet and fall in love? They give each other fully to one another.
This could be seen rather remarkably in the Taurus/Cancer bond.
These two are domesticated, stable, and forward-looking.
They are alike in pretty much every way with only one real big difference: the Taurus is an earth sign, and the Cancer is a water sign.
What this means in broad terms is that while the Taurus lives through analyzing and rationalizing, the Cancer exists mostly through their emotions and intuition.
The Taurus thinks of every possible outcome to a decision while the Cancer goes off of feeling. This is also how the two primarily communicate as well.
If the above leads to any disagreements, it will be the many things that they agree on that will keep this couple together and the Cancer/Taurus compatibility going strong- mainly, staying at home.
The Taurus and Cancer are the two most domesticated signs of the zodiac.
These two signs are extremely loyal and seek security. Both the Taurus and the Cancer are hardworking and goal-oriented.
This perfect alignment of values will leave this couple with little to squabble about, which is a good thing because both signs have hot tempers.
Taurus and Pisces
If the Taurus has been wondering if there is any other sign out there that appreciates sensuality as much as they do, they need not look any further than Pisces- the most sensual of the zodiac.
The tough bull and the sensitive fish, who would have thought?
Just because the Pisces wears their feelings on their sleeve 24/7 and the stoic Taurus does not, really does not mean a thing.
The Taurus is pretty sensitive too and has a rich emotional life, even if they do not fully understand it.
Pisces is the ideal sun sign to help the Taurus get in touch with that side of themselves.
Both signs are intelligent homebodies who like to consume the finer things in life from the arts, cuisine, nature, music, books, and film.
Both the Taurus and Pisces love good conversation and humor.
The Pisces imagination will entertain and intrigue the Taurus to no end and in the bedroom Pisces intuition and Taurus sensuality together are dynamic.
All of this entirely depends on the specific Taurus and Pisces, of course. There is a chance that the two signs can over-indulge if not kept in check.
If both signs have it relatively together and are focused on their goals, then this is a beautiful, magical, almost physic relationship.
Least Taurus Compatible Matches
Some signs do not fare well with the Taurus romantically.
Taurus compatibility works the best with sun signs that share the same values. Some, like the sun signs below, have values that run counter to the Taurus’.
Taurus and Aquarius
Have you ever seen somebody kick over another person’s sandcastle at the beach? Maybe you have not but have seen a Taurus and Aquarius relationship. It is basically the same thing.
To better put this in perspective, imagine that the sandcastle is the Taurus’ need for comfort, stability, and security, and the foot that kicks it is everything about what the Aquarius represents.
The misunderstood Aquarius marches to the beat of their own drummer, and one could say that their objective in this life is to challenge traditions.
This means stability as we know it, something the Taurus looks for throughout their entire lives.
The Aquarius is off-beat and always playing with expansive and abstract ideas and has an alchemic way of bringing them into life.
The practical Taurus does not understand any of this at all and would much prefer to be with a more level-headed and down to earth person.
The Aquarius will have little interest in the Taurus anyway, as they see the bull as too materialistic and rigid.
Nothing about the Taurus will excite the Aquarius and vice-versa.
Taurus compatibility with Aquarius is not good. Both signs are extraordinary in their own right, but for a romantic relationship, they will do far better with a sun sign who shares their same values.
Taurus and Gemini
Taurus compatibility with Gemini is weak because the two signs have little in common.
In every aspect of their lives, The Taurus looks for stability like a heat-seeking missile. This is especially the case with their romantic involvement.
The Gemini is a free sign, not only because they are mutable, but the Gemini is particularly known to be flighty.
Maybe not in an ADD sort of way, but they do have this remarkable ability to jump from one thing to the next, often making decisions and taking actions at the drop of a dime.
The Taurus is much too grounded and cautious to understand the Gemini’s unpredictable ways.
In a sense, the double-sided and mutable Gemini (who is nicknamed “the twins”) may also have difficulty understanding why they do some of what they do as well.
Everything from activities to the conversation will go this way with the pair, leaving the Taurus desperately looking for some sense of routine and normalcy.
This is sure to bring out the stubbornness of the bull and the Gemini will think the Taurus takes everything too seriously.
Taurus and Sagittarius
Just because Taurus is ruled by the planet of love, Venus does not mean that their love is well-suited for everyone.
Taurus compatibility with Sagittarius is not good for many reasons, most pronounced is their difference in values.
The fire sign of Sagittarius is explosive and daring, a complete extrovert and social butterfly.
Meanwhile, the more reserved Taurus tends to lean towards being an introvert.
This should not be a total dealbreaker, however, the ruling planet of Sagittarius is Jupiter, which represents travel and exploration.
Taurus is one of the most domesticated sun signs and Sagittarius natives would likely work for the airlines if they do not already.
The Sagittarius is all about freedom and at the end of the day, the Taurus would much rather just stay at home with their partner.
Taurus compatibility with Sagittarius is highly doubtful as both seem to be here on earth worth completely different missions and both signs are pretty steadfast about making them into a reality.
Taurus and Aries
Remember the sandcastle analogy from earlier? Let’s use that again here.
The sandcastle still represents the Taurus’ values and this time the foot that kicks it represents the Aries.
Unlike the Aquarius in the earlier scenario, who has their reason for kicking the sandcastle, the Aries kicks it just to kick it. Aries, the aggressive young ram, thrives on conflict for conflict’s sake. The Taurus is hardworking and carefully constructs a comfortable, peaceful, and stable life for themselves.
Aries/Taurus compatibility is a big negative. If this relationship even starts, to begin with, it will end pretty quickly in one of three ways:
1) The Taurus ignores the Aries’s constant challenges to fight them, in which case the Aries leaves to go find someone else that will fight them.
2) The Taurus thinks the Aries is a bully, gets too stressed out, and then leaves.
3) The Aries pushes the Taurus just enough to bring out the bull’s famously bad, yet well-checked temper, and a fight that will end all fights ensues.
This locking of horns will likely be so bad that there cannot be any reconciliation ahead.
The Taurus Man
The Taurus man is a stoic in every sense of the word. Well, at least they want you to believe that.
Tough on the outside, the bull is a nature lover as a native of Venus. He is sweet and charming to those who know him.
The Taurus man is sensual and physically expressive, yet appearances would have you thinking that he was more reserved.
This is possibly true with his day-to-day decision making, but when he is in love, he is going to show it selflessly and with tons of affection.
The Taurus man is intelligent and communicative, he chooses his words wisely- he says what he means and means what he says.
He is hardworking and goal-oriented. Chances are this man who is successful and seeks a mate with a similar drive. Finding a partner who shares his values is a priority for him.
The Taurus man is a homebody. A force to be reckoned with at his 9-5, he cannot wait to get home and indulge in some good food, romantic company, and an evening in with his partner.
The Taurus, only matched by the Cancer, is the most domesticated of the sun signs.
The Taurus man is the perfect catch: an ambitious go-getter and a selfless and sensual lover at home.
Taurus Man Relationship Compatibility
The Taurus man works hard for his life of success, comfort, and peace and needs a partner who values the same things as him. He is loyal and devoted and seeks someone who is in it with them for the long haul.
Taurus man relationship compatibility works the greatest with Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
Taurus Man Sexual Compatibility
The Taurus man is physically expressive. While sex is physical, it is also much more than that to the Taurus man, who does not just make love in bed- he actually makes love in bed.
The best sexual partners for the Taurus man are Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
The Taurus Woman
The Taurus woman is the definition of a powerful woman. She is as strong as a bull, but as a native of Venus, she is as feminine as they come.
She is an artist at heart and drawn to things spiritual. If you told me that you know a Taurus woman from yoga class, I would not be surprised.
She is practical, intelligent, and communicative. While known for expressing her love physically, she needs stimulating conversation, preferably of the smart and humorous kind.
As a fixed sign, she is likely confident. The Taurus woman knows who she is and is looking for a partner who is the same.
The female bull is self-reliant and independent, so having a partner for her is a plus and not a necessity. She would much rather be alone than with someone insensitive, boring, or otherwise fake.
When in a relationship, she is devoted. Known to be a loyal lover, the Taurus woman seeks a partner who shares her values but also someone who does not bore her to death.
She appreciates genuine, interesting, and stable people in her life and to win her heart you will likely need to be patient and show and prove that you are a special catch.
Taurus Woman Relationship Compatibility
Taurus women are confident, independent, and self-reliant. She is tough yet sensual and full of love. When she is with a partner, she is fully invested. Highly devoted, the Taurus woman is looking for something solid and long term. Her compatibility is best with Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
Taurus Woman Sexual Compatibility
The Taurus woman is a physically expressive and powerfully sensual lover.
While she might come off as reserved, she lets her guard down in the bedroom, but only when in the company of a trusted companion who she is committed to.
The Taurus woman’s best sexual matches are Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
Final Thoughts
The intelligent and friendly earth sign of Taurus craves stability, comfort, and peace. If a sun sign shares these values, their differences will likely balance each other out in beneficial ways.
The Taurus in love is devoted; stubborn, yet selfless. They are trustworthy and dependable and in it for the long run.
Taurus compatibility is good with other domesticated homebodies who like to partake in sensuality at home: winning and dining, good books, and movies, with some stimulating conversation in the mix.
Some sun signs not only have different values than the Taurus, but their values actively go against what the Taurus works so diligently at building up for themselves, their sandcastle.
For this reason, Taurus compatibility is poor with Aquarius, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Aries.
Conversely, Taurus makes an excellent partner for sun signs Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
All of these signs prefer to stay at home and gravitate towards intellectually stimulating conversations and activities.
Some of these signs are hardworking and goal-oriented, and the others can be as well, depending on other aspects of their natal chart and their overall character.

Post Major Arcana Thoughts
I had a few “aha” moments about the Chosen while selecting and writing up the Major Arcana cards.  Of course, tarot cards are amazing for helping Seekers notice patterns and new ways of connecting ideas- that’s why we use them!  So I shouldn’t be surprised, but I still kind of am!  And I wanna share those thoughts beneath the cut.
When I say stuff like “outer strength” vs “inner strength,” I’m speaking in terms of my understanding of the tarot.  I’m sure there are many definitions for these ideas, in general.
Outer Strength (strength expressed as action) vs Inner Strength (strength expressed as resilience/maturity)
I assigned The Chariot to Yamato and Strength to Hikari.  The Chariot is about taking action, reaching goals through effort, and persevering in the face of obstacles.  The other half of the coin is Strength, a card about keeping calm and composed in difficult times, persevering through strength of character.
You may think that The Chariot is ruled by fire (suit of passion) and Strength is ruled by water (suit of emotions), but in fact- it’s the opposite!  Isn’t that an interesting reversal!
But I think The Chariot is ultimately about control: the Seeker must control their emotions, efforts, and energy on the task to see it through.  Self-control, self-mastery, self-assertion, which all point back to regulating emotions (water).  And, of course, emotional control is something Yamato struggles with- which is why this card is both who he is, and a goal he reaches towards (and something I personally really want to see him achieve- I’d love to read a fic dedicated to this journey).
In contrast, the battle of compassion over force is ruled by fire- meaning that it’s very much active and passionate, even though the card itself is about gentleness!  Being kind and mastering the Self requires courage and conscious effort.  Even at 8 years of age, Hikari is almost eerily mature.  But while she’s a natural at compassion and composure, we see her struggle to assert herself and allocate some of that compassion towards herself and her needs.  So again, Strength is both who she is and a goal- and, of course, that’s ideal fic material.
But assigning them as opposite sides of the same coin makes me wonder- how do Yamato and Hikari get on, interpersonally?  They’re both intense characters, in their way- Yamato is loudly intense, Hikari quietly so.  And The Chariot is yin energy, while Strength is yang energy!  Oh, I need to know more about these two as... foils isn’t quite the right word, but it’s not exactly wrong?
Taichi and Koushiro as Action Takers
Taichi and Koushiro are the do-ers of the Chosen, I like to think.  Which isn’t to argue that the others don’t do stuff- of course they do (for example, I gave Yamato The Chariot, so he’s no slacker)!  But Taichi and Koushiro are on their own level, here.
During the Dark Masters arc, Taichi is the one who pushes the team forward, even though everyone is exhausted and emotionally beaten- because he assesses that they will be caught and defeated if they stay in one place.  At the end of Tri, it’s Taichi who says- well guys, we have to do this, we have to stop Meicoomon.  Even though it’s understood that the Chosen are working together, Taichi is the one who takes on the burden of the decisions by making them, speaking them, and accepting responsibility for them.  This is, of course, a key part of why Taichi is a great leader- he takes the necessary steps to allow his team to continue functioning, even if they come at a high personal price.  And if there are moments where the team, er, isn’t functioning so well, he puts himself at risk to hold the line.
I don’t have to explain Koushiro as a proactive do-er, that’s pretty much his whole life, doing stuff/manifesting/creating/discovering.  And I think that, out of the Chosen, he best understands and accepts the difficult choices Taichi makes.  Obviously, Taichi makes mistakes and isn’t always logical (and definitely not always tactful, lol!), but in the clutch, he does what has to be done.  And Koushiro- he’s always trying to do what has to be done.
Something about assigning them as The Emperor and The Magician really drove that home, although it’s not a new thought for me.  Geez, no wonder these two get on so swimmingly!  They’re very different, but they’re both so driven to move forward and figure things out however they can.  Yamato, too- he’s sort a step behind them (he has the ability, and will step up if needed, but it’s not his natural urge).  Emperor, Magician, Chariot.  LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Miyako is a really cool character you guys
Okay, so tarot works by tapping into ancient archetypes, concepts/characterizations that have been around ever since humans have told stories.  I’m sure you’ve read a zillion metas about how the Adventure cast turns archetypes on their heads, and I’m not arguing- but to do that, you do need to evoke the archetype enough to subvert.  I personally think that I was able to find a fitting Major Arcana card for everyone...
Except Miyako.
I was originally planning to give her Strength, but the card emphasizes calm, composure, quiet strength.  Every other card seemed to have a better fit for someone or something else.  In the end, I made her The Wheel of Fortune, owing to how dynamic she is, how optimistic, how ready to handle things- and, of course, by how she can overextend herself trying to be all those things.
But it got me thinking about how unique Miyako really is.  She’s smart and capable, she’s loud and confident, she’s direct and maybe a little too blunt, she’s mischievous and snarky and sweet and kind, but is allowed to make mistakes and have days where she isn’t running at 100%.  She’s allowed to have crushes (on boys and girls, at that!) and do kid stuff and also be mature!  She can make friends easily with anyone, boy, girl, her age, younger, older!
Miyako really breaks the mold.  I respect the hell out of that.
Iori supports justice by defending the wrongfully accused
We all know Iori grows into a defense attorney after watching people change after making mistakes, after seeing the various ways people struggle.  We talk a lot about how 02 is basically the Ken show, and Ken has the single most loving character arc in Adventure- but give some props to Iori, my dudes!  The kid shifted some intense black-and-white thinking into compassion.  That’s amazing.
So yeah!  Using tarot to notice stuff = cool and fun and a good time!  Makes me wish I had a digimon deck D:

Rulership of Time
Astrology functions as an assessment of temporal quality, but is the archetype of time ruled by any particular sign? Preface The wheel of the zodiac is often depicted with Aries on the left, thus keeping it in line with the houses: that is, Aries corresponds to the ascendant and first house, Taurus occupies the second house, and so on.
However, there are some interesting patterns that emerge under other rotations. Rotating the wheel one sign counter clockwise, so that the first house is held by Taurus, we find Cancer and Leo on either side of the nadir, the lowest point of the wheel. This emphasizes the wonderful symmetry between each pair of signs that share rulers:
Tumblr media
The exception being, of course, the Sun and Moon which rule one sign each. This might point to a secret identification between these forces, which are typically conceptualized as the most fundamental opposites: consciousness and the unconscious, light and dark, etc. The arcane marriage of these principles is a motif which humanity has been pondering since antiquity. Positioning this syzygy at the bottom of the wheel gives the impression that the other signs spring forth from this coupling as a series of portraits from one luminary to the other; as call and response music, or dance steps. One can say that the entire zodiac functions as a mythological alphabet that elaborates of the riddle of the Sun and Moon.
Time Under this cosmic lens, let’s examine a feature essential to our experience of the universe: time. Where does time show up in the zodiac? Can any particular sign be said to govern this concept? At the very least, we can draw the strongest general associations between time and these signs:
Tumblr media
If you ask astrologers which sign most corresponds to the concept of time, Gemini would be a common and reasonable answer. It is the traditional ruler of clocks and measurements of time, and is said to rule the time-dependent concepts of transit and commuting.
Capricorn is another traditional response, since it rules the schedule, the time table, the restriction of time, the inexorable march of time. Father Time, the bearded old man with the scythe and the hourglass, is one of the most well known personifications of Saturn.
Aquarius is a bit more esoteric in this regard, but perfectly valid. Aquarius is most associated with the concepts of the instant, the moment ... suddenness! Moreover, it is the traditional ruler of kairos, the ancient Greek idea of “pregnant time.” From Wikipedia:
The ancient Greeks had two words for time: chronos (χρόνος) and kairos. The former refers to chronological or sequential time, while the latter signifies a proper or opportune time for action. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative, permanent nature.
Chronos is a clear attribute of Capricorn, therefore these two notions of time are represented by the two Saturn-ruled signs. These two signs are farthest from our supposed origin-nadir, the Cancer/Leo threshold. Capricorn is opposite Cancer, and Aquarius is opposite Leo. This suits the mythological conception of Saturn as the demiurge, the architect of mundane incarnation, the mechanic of the machinery of the cosmos.
To complete this symmetry, we would hope that Virgo is also associated with time. That way, Saturn-ruled signs can roost up at the dome of time, representing its furthest limits, while Mercury ruled signs can reflect each other as attendants to the atemporal solar/lunar archetypes, initiating those forces into the game of time. Gemini does this job perfectly for the Moon, showing how time is “reflected” in the mind through the image of the clock.
So, is Virgo then one of our rulers of time? Ever humble and self-diminishing, Virgo does not jump out as readily as the others, but it does indeed complete a very crucial and unglamorous role. Any astrologer will tell you that Virgo rules punctuality. That is, the adherence to time. If Gemini is the clock at the train station, and Capricorn is the schedule, and Aquarius is the fortune of sliding through the closing door, then Virgo is the plain fact of showing up on time.
So it is clear that there are affinities between rulerships. The two mercury-ruled signs rule basic, mundane relationships to time: time measurement and time observance. The two Saturn-ruled signs rule the extremes of time: time’s bondage and time’s potentiation. There are also affinities between elements, which we explore later. But there are also delightful parallels between the pairs of signs which share no essential qualities. Consider that Gemini and Capricorn both rule structural, objective attributes of time, summarized by the clock and the schedule respectively. The other pair rules more subjective qualities of time: Virgo corresponds to the season, and Aquarius to the zeitgeist.
Elemental Purports What does it mean that all four of these time-governing signs are earth or air? At the most obvious level, we should note that in the cultural imagination water and fire are characterized by motion, while earth and air are not. Air is about potentiation; it is the closest element to pure yang. It is the breath, which corresponds esoterically to the pneuma, the coherence of spirit which vivifies matter. It is atmosphere: that which surrounds every atom, and every germ of life, from the smallest bud to the egg of the cosmos. In a sense, pure potentiation means being eternally unborn. It is actually full activity—boundless perpetual motion—or “unlimited wind” in the Vedas—the inexhaustible first word of creation which has no duration, and obviously no equivalent upon the time-dependent material plane.
That plane is brought to us in part by earth, the closest element to pure yin. It is easy to understand how “pure passivity” is not comprehensible within time—easier than the concept of “pure activity” which we looked at previously. There is only ever the appearance of stillness in our perception; never an object which is actually fully static. The signature “movements” of matter may be entropy and decay.
We should also understand the conventional elemental associations with the astrological attitudes: cardinality is “like” fire; fixidity like earth; mutability like air. Therefore these time signs are:
The airy part of air (Gemini)
The airy part of earth (Virgo)
The fiery part of earth (Capricorn)
The earthy part of air (Aquarius)
So earth is implicated in three of these, and air is implicated in three of these. The only exception to air is the fiery part of earth; earth in its cardinal aspect. This means it is the apparent, self-projecting aspect of earth; earth with its essence on display. Capricorn governs, if you’ll remember, the bondage aspect of time, and the sign that is the most common answer to the naive question of time rulership.
The only exception to earth is the airy part of air: Gemini. This is notably the second-most common response to the question of time rulership. And, as we have seen, together Gemini and Capricorn account for the objective qualities of time. Here’s a weird one: if Gemini and Capricorn are the most obvious rulers of time, perhaps that is partially due to the subjective quality of our time, which is so concerned with, and aware of, objective qualities!
Or maybe it is the fact that the subjective qualities of time are defined by contradiction, and thus more difficult to understand in any age. After all, what is the “earthy part of air” and “the airy part of earth”? There does seem to be an especially elusive mystery about Aquarius: the concept of kairos, but also of the wish, and of heaven. What are we to make of the fact that Aquarius is “familiar to the alien”? Or the fact that it is associated both with the moment and with “timelessness”? We have seen air as pure potentiation, necessitating boundless movement; how could there be a “fixed” expression of such a principle?
In contradiction to the most “alien” sign, Virgo is typically tagged as the most mundane sign. The relative anonymity of Virgo is also contrasted with the radical idiosyncrasy of Aquarius. And its tradition-mindedness would appear also to chafe against Aquarian novelty. Yet let us remember what these signs share: they given definition to the subjective attributes of time. We mentioned that Aquarius holds both the uniqueness of the moment, and the unchanging eternal, but Virgo holds this mystery too. Virgo’s anonymity comes from a deep, intuitive understand that we are all the same. That is why the goddess and the virgin go by so many names. In fact, they necessitate that many names, because the multiplicity of the expression is part of the expression. Virgo is the scattering of the atoms; matter in full possible diffusion. The secondary ruler of Virgo, besides mercury, is not one planet but an abundance of asteroids. Virgo knows both “I am a link in a chain” and also “I am this link.” What is punctuality but specificity? What is a unit of matter but a detail? Virgo knows both, “This season has come before,” and also, “This summer is this summer.”
Summary The wind of Gemini is the wind that blows in the quality of time, existing in some unknowable potentiation beyond this world. Capricorn is the slow-burn of matter upon which quality plays, and is thereby bound. Virgo rotates the wheel, perpetuating the cycle through its incremental movement. The rotations are then recognized by their quality of motion. Aquarius imagines the wheel stopped, glimpsed in gestalt, and the wheel is recognized by the quality of its stillness. Cumulatively, these four archetypes collaborate to describe the terms of the dance through which psyche extends itself into its many other guises.

Jacob/ Zhang Peng Astrology: How he loves
A/N Oh hey it me bringing you another request. I have a few left in the queue so sorry if it takes me a couple days, thank you all for your requests!! Thanks so much for understanding!!
“Because your break downs are amazing, could you do a lover breakdown of Jacob from VAV? I know his chart has some great things in there! Thanks boo 😘" - @dotheddaengthing
I got you !!  As always, 18+ below the cut!
Tumblr media
I’m triggered and I haven’t even started the damn chart
first I’d like to note his chart has a really pretty balance to it
there is a poetic, 3,2,3,2 to his element split also that I find really interesting.
fire and air, considered “active” or positive Yang  elements. he has 2 of each
and the earth and fire, considered “passive” Negative Yin elements he has 3 of each
he has SO MANY cardinal placements so there are a few conclusions we can draw from this
FIRST OFF
cardinal signs are known for being the embodiment of that element. He has Aries, Libra, Capricorn AND Cancer... meaning all 3 of the Cardinal signs make an appearance in his chart
that is really interesting to me.because the heavier emphasis on passive elements suggests an easy going reasonable personality and the active elements being not far behind but still lesser indicates he isn’t lazy or a doormat
and with that many cardinal placements, more than one of each, he is likely a really level headed person who is excellent at inciting action within himself
let’s talk details
his rising is Scorpio  we have talked about this rising Scorpios get your shit together
he is going to seem mysterious and interesting to people
you are going to have to PRY info out of him if you want more than a few tidbits and jokes
Scorpios don’t like to seem ‘weak’ and emotional  those words are not synonymous and water represents emotion im sorry scorpios accept you are a soft bitch deep down
he will likely rely on sarcasm in the beginning and being a Virgo won’t tamp down that impulse, he may come off as cold and unfeeling
so if you’re trying to boo him up and he’s standing off more with you than others it’s probably because those walls are up in defense
Virgo sun
meticulous and clean, cautious and deep thinking
analyze analyze analyze
also Virgos get so hung up on details they’ll forget really simple concepts
someone help him he is confused
this would be 1000% worse if his moon weren't the CARDINAL of  emotional feelings, Cancer
so he will second guess himself
it’ll be hard to get him to not be hard on himself
Virgos  are picky and savage but also incredibly mistrusting and self defeating
so outside is “I’m cool and have it together” and inside it’s
“Can they tell I really like them omg stop it be like Elsa conceal don’t feel”
let it go, bro
Cancer moon is going to win out in the end
if he likes you he will constantly be doing things for you
combining Virgo's detail oriented traits and Cancer’s incredible empathy means he knows you better than you know you
expect a confession of his to be right out of  your personal dreams
he is confident in what you need and he is willing to give it to you
yaaaas girl get you that emotional support what a fricken dream
where can i get one
on the flip side you have to be very gentle with him they bruise easily
the tiniest thoughtless word will bounce around in his head for weeks he is fragile pls
in relationships he will probably be afraid to go past general flirtation
with confusion and teasing and you will have whiplash cause he will go from being nice and taking care of you to kind of stand offish and cold
THANKS SCORPIO
So you’ll get some kind of long friendship where he likes  you so much but he can't Express it so he just kinda gets irritable or shy every time you're around
And if you confront him he'll blurt out the reason "I'm mad because I really like you!!! And you don't understand that I do and I'm scared! "
And you'll be like 👀👀👀👀 You do???
And he's like *shy baby mode activate*
He might just like walk away embarrassed  if you don't put him at ease
Pls help this bb he is so shy
But once you do he will calm downAnd his instincts  will kick in
And it’s all "where's your jacket? Tch. Just take mine or whatever" (Its cause he wants to stake his claim do not believe him)
Mercury in Libra
literally one of the best signs for communicators
I am not just saying that as a Libra
for real, it’s in the scales
everything from a libra is like
“Well if you look at it from this perspective....”
it’s really hard to have a real fight with a Libra because fairness is the game
he will however be self sacrificing if it’s to avoid conflict and you might have to call to make drs appointments  and stuff cause they really don’t like to bother people
Venus in Cancer.... oh boy
so we know about cancer venus by now
emotional. thoughtful,supportive relationships
they don’t date casually in general because anything that doesn’t hit them on a soul deep level isn’t worth their time
so think affection wise this is putting the tips of his fingers in  your furthest pocket while he’s got you tucked into his side
talking quietly to you about the universe and his dreams
its cute
probably loves to snuggle and watch movies together
and probably will cry but if you say something he will say he didn’t
mars in Cancer
sorry this means moody AF i don’t make the rules
cancers have a way of shifting moods
so their drive to situations will fluctuate
you may have to be really supportive when he is being negative and when he is positive  again he will definitely make it up to you
relationships are give and take!!
18+ below get yo freak on if you legal
Tumblr media
someone collect him seriously .
let’s get nasty
you know we start with that DAMN VENUS
cause WHY IS IT CANCER SO MUCH
Cancer Venus's are a danger to genitalia everywhere
I am actually ready to fight the next Cancer venus I see
Controlling, jealous, and affectionate
combine this with virgo and cancer moon and you get a very, very strict, but very, very affectionate and soft daddy.
listen
what the hell
so this means he will probably be the type to stare deeply into your eyes, body looming over you, long powerful drags in and out that force the air from your lungs
RIP YOUR VAG
toy play?
yeah, toy play
Vibrators when you are bad
probably aggressive, but in like,  a romantic way
when he beats your cervix to a pulp  makes love to you, he will mutter how much he loves you into your neck
soft wet whispers kissed into your skin
i imagine he’s like a biter but in the gentle way
more like nips all the way down your body in a playful way with his hands stretching over your waist
sensual emotional and possessive all at once
but sometimes
if you make that cancer jealous
look out because the FULL possessive side will jump right out
marking and asking you who you belong to
goes emotionally soft for a moment if you beg
maybe nicknames in the sheets ?
remember possessive so there’s some indication he would want to leave you with something that only he could give you
I am also thinking that he is the type to get you to cum multiple times
like if he is going to cum once you are getting at least 2
wants to make it so his touch is burned into your skin
a poem of your heartbeat tattooed against your ribs
your soft noises ringing in his ears
it’s his favorite soundtrack
aftercare is gonna be based on that Libra north node I think
so like.
you are glued to him and not going anywhere. probably keeps a shirt under the bed to clean up the mess but he wants you skin to skin
if you must get up and walk around he wants you in one of his shirts with undies and nothing else
loves the sight of you wrapped in him
please I am on soft hours now how
be good to this man cause he is a rough outside and soft inside
he needs support and love and cuddles
A/N    okay! !
I feel like i should make the disclaimer that this is my own analysis  based on the amount of info we have. could some of the chart be off (rising and moon can be affected by time of day) yeah.
but this is for entertainment purposes and I am just messing around for fun, I know I state everything like fact but ... It’s for shits and giggles and I don’t want to write “maybe” and “probably” and put a disclaimer on every single thing. It’s all subjective and unsure. I hope no one is too upset by all that I am doing my best.
anyway I hope you enjoyed
I have a couple of requests left I am working on both thank you for your patience and I hope you stick around! I don’t mind having them in the queue if anyone wants to send anymore !!

Can you please write about a virgo sun/sag moon combo? I don't find it particularly fair that my bf got to examine me under a microscope. Hahaha. 😂😂 And then sent u an anonymous msg to let u know his thoughts and screenshot it to me after he did that. 😅 He needs to be dissected too!!!! 😤😘😏 (Please open him up fully like how u'd eat a fish and remove its bones. Thank u.)- pisces sun/gemini moon gf speaking!!
I promised I’ll do this earlier on today so here I am 💕💕💕
[Below Cut: Virgo Sun - Sagittarius Moon ☯️]
These people may not seem like they’re excited for anything, but in reality they’re like a kid bouncing and giddy at the thought of seeing their favourite movie
If they’re reaally reaaally nervous they’re the type to not sit still. Would rather pace around, check their phone, bounce their legs-- they do not care if they’re in public thEY’RE NERVOUS
See the thing here is that Virgo has self-preservation, has tact. They feel awkward showing/expressing that they care for something even when they KNOW it’s ok to care or that it’s expected of them to express it outwards.
(They may mumble, or try to not make eye-contact when they know there’s attention/expectations of people on them. It makes them nervous skdjfn)
The Virgo/Sagittarius person makes for someone who internally would be having a melt-down but is kind of holding it together on the outside fairly well (poker face/functioning on automatic response)
If they’re really really effected, they become completely flustered on the outside (they feel their senses, like heat and sensory stuff would completely overwhelm them and shut down their brains sometimes)
Embarrassment in particular, is an emotion they’re very familiar with the response to (feels strongly/intensely about-- cringe factor lvl 1000)
This is more to do with Virgo trying to control the main/body and it’s functioning responses. While Sagittarius is unable to process affectionate feelings in anyways besides explosive (earth/fire)
So while they may be having a complete melt down-- note that if you just take a deep breath, steady/meditate the mind to focus on one thought and then look straight in the face of someone else/something. You can gain control/power over the situation by being unexpectedly truthful and straight-forward about your feeling ONCE (1) in your life.
It’ll completely throw other people off-guard as well, all you need is a moment where the tide is turned in order to quickly grab onto the opportunity and slip back into your calm and smooth facade again.
Aaaah these people. They should realize that they’re actually rather sensitive (emotionally) people. Your environment, tension, stress daily behaviour affects you. If you don’t have enough balance and stimulation between all of those-- you may be prone to getting weak, fatigue, sick or vulnerable often.
Best way to do this is to focus on Virgo first-- Virgo is receptive to their environment, it detects tension and that activates it’s nervous nature. In order to help with this, try to NOT suppress -- let the emotion/anxiety be channeled into a concentrating/meditative state where you can think, analyze, feel or organize these things quickly instead.
Like,, it’ll feel like the emotions are overwhelming you and your first instinct is to shut down/push down-- that’s suppressing-- don’t do that (it’ll make you insensitive or unable to recognize emotionality later)
When it overwhelms you, think of it as like being underwater looking up at the water surface. You may have to hold your breath but if you’re underwater then you can be in a state of complete isolation where you’re only in your own head (that feeling) so you’ll have a better time organizing and recognizing feelings/emotions, knowing how they feel and in turn--- being able to let them past and wash over you instead of suppressing them on the first try.
Sounds good? Ok!
Next is Sagittarius Moon. Who is Always going to make it harder for you not to just be like ‘i g2g’ and abscond without your Virgo ‘wait--’ coming at them.
With Sagittarius Moon-- it’s best to balance it by taking pre-cautionary action. Balance is the key. You have to take some alone time and a ‘change in environment’ some what. Being in the same place or with the same people are stressful for you, because you are receptive to their energy and the exterior environment is where you gain your moods/emotional help as well.
Take walks, schedule a time where you can be alone and have time to contemplate or think about stuff. Have time to take in environments, the trees, the birds, anything at all. Recognizing your sensitivity and receptiveness to others in this way, helps you also acknowledge that you are more sensitive than you realize.
(The thing with Virgo/Sagittarius is that they are so dense to their sensitivity sometimes. Like just as sensitive as a Pisces. But they don’t think they are. Geminis are even less sensitive than them.
The whole point of this is for them to identify the extent of their sensitivity so they can go ‘oh shit I really am that bitch’ and then learn how to accept that as part of their identity. It’ll help them a lot in humanizing themselves, and being ok with NOT being awkward expressing emotions/vulnerabilities as well. )
You can’t-- however, walk away from a situation/confrontational fight by changing your environment. Technically you can, and it’ll help you with calming down a lot. But the whole point of this is a release of your inner tension, your internal emotions you may have kept bottled up. You are delicate and very sensitive, yet you don’t allow yourself to get in touch with your femininity as well. (Or rather, everyone has feminine/masculine sides to them. But Virgo/Sagittarius are more used to/prone to exerting their ‘masculine’ side that their feminine side gets completely ignored/swallowed up by it) ---Make sure to check yourself.
These people are generally very considerate-- with Virgo wanting to help others productively/practical things and Sagittarius being a generous sign. These people may have an abundance of personal popularity from others flocking to them (as healers) -- but watch that these people who flock to you aren’t going to take advantage of you (especially since you have loyalty, and be reluctant to doubt those you’ve already committed yourself to) nor getting into bad situation/habits because you don’t want to leave them.
Virgo/Sagittarius people also make for someone who’s quite thoughtful, often has acute minds and able to bring big ideas into smaller details.
They are cautious somehow-- yet also exasperatedly terrible at keeping it completely serious. It’s like when they thought the moment is ‘too stressful’ they have this need to ‘lighten’ the atmosphere-- which can be good, but also bad.
Because if the situation is ‘heavy’ and needs a confrontational style of approach-- they can be triggered into running away form it again (has to find an escape route ready, can be prone to redirecting or averting attention away from then in confrontations-- something they may need to work on in accepting criticism about themselves especially. )
These people would rather show you through action and demonstration, than their words which can sometimes be too heavy/burdensome for them to bear. Despite being a Mercury sign, Virgo native are quite awkward and timid (shy) inside as well.
Virgo/Sagittarius combination has large pools of tolerance, patience and methodical approach to others. Yet they can also be impulsive, striking out or acting out when they feel like they’ve been ‘cooped’ up for too long.
Finding balance--- again, between getting in touch with both your feminine and masculine nature is good for you. Yin and yang, this will help you further since your Sagittarius is idealistic, and Virgo is pragmatic. In figuring out the bigger scope of your self-development. And that is to become something with your life, no?
You have passion, but you have no where to put them. You have the willingness to work hard, but what for. Only by stabilizing yourself can you figure out how to tie these two things together in a way that doesn’t distinguish each other’s significance. You don’t have to sacrifice anything, either your fire moon or your earth sun. You just have to learn how to let it work best intertwined with each other (united as your strength)
If impulsivity is your issue, then integration of fire x earth and understanding your reason for impulsivity-- your sensitivity is your cure.
Do you see what i mean? It’s more than just meets the eye with you. if you have trouble with something, it’s coming from your inner depth that you’re out of touch with.
Not anyone can take you/help you with soul-searching, but you can definitely learn and grow from others who are more in-touch with themselves than you are (especially Pisces)
(one last note: you may find it hard to NOT express your opinions/beliefs and may be too straight-forward about it sometimes. This might compromise your considerate nature abit. Make sure to keep in mind that you ARE considerate, so that you can act like it and maybe hold your tongue a little. If you feel uncomfortable with it--- good, that means you have more soul-searching to do!🐝)
That’s it!! 💕💕 Ahh I hope this is helpful and I hope you got something out of it?? If it sounds like something you might not be familiar with....I hope you can give it a few more reads later on in life and maybe reflect on it a lil anyways 💕
sdkjnkdngfknksknf im glad to help you out and get you this analysis so you can roast your boyfriend 💕 I feel like (to the gf) if you can help him with this too, it’ll be really nice for both of you since you may have a productive avenue to exert some of your pisces/gemini energy into as well 💕
Good luck!! 💕💕💕

hi I love your blog!! I just wanted to ask what your background is in spiritual matters are because you seem so well-versed in them and your applications of some concepts are absolutely spot on!! I’m just curious haha
Why We’re Never Going To Find Out How Saïx Got His Scar
Tumblr media
Thanks! Pretty much all learned outside of school, haha. I don’t have a special background or anything. I am just an ordinary person drawn to strange subjects. I guess if I’m being honest, I became immersed in these subjects because I used to deal with depression, lol. I don’t anymore, but I still really love Axel’s character arc for that reason. He wanted to find hope. And he did.
His arc is based on the Phoenix—dying, rotting away, turning to ash, and then being born again. You need to experience a form of death, to shed away the old self. Only then can you be reborn into something higher. You need to suffer pain and despair. That is the only way to be liberated from your previous state. It’s one of those special character arcs that resonated with me strongly. It does kind of kill me to see a work of fiction incorporate genuine spiritual concepts, then get butchered. Because you don’t get that message from mainstream entertainment very often.
Tumblr media
Zuko: “I used to think this scar marked me - the mark of the banished prince, cursed to chase the Avatar forever. But lately, I’ve realized I’m free to determine my own destiny, even if I’ll never be free of my mark.”
The only other one I personally recall that had a similar realistic spiritual aspect was Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. He is another character that I connected with a lot. Another Fire-type character associated with the sun, strangely enough. Zuko’s arc reminded me of Axel’s, actually. As you wander through the valley of the shadow of death, you are purified. You shed the snakeskin of the ego, and are capable of transforming into your highest self. You become capable of unconditional love. He had his own awakening experience during a dream. The way he loved his sister Azula also reminded me of how Axel loved Saïx. He reminds me of Isa, too. Both have iconic scars that symbolize their trauma.
The deeper you go, the more you realize how interconnected all these metaphysical concepts are, too. Eastern/Western. Alchemy, Shamanism, Kundalini Yoga, Kabbalah, Jungian Psychology. Doesn’t matter. It’s all the same thing when you get right down to it. Raising your state of consciousness, and seeing the illusion of the world for what it is. This realization allows you to become a new being.
The two snakes/dragons represent Masculine and Feminine. Yin and Yang. Shiva and Shakti. Sol and Luna. The energy rising up the two pathways and opening the chakras, is referred to as sacred fire. When these two energies unite, one becomes enlightened, and transcends desire, duality, karma, space and time, etc. One’s true nature is realized, which is infinite. You have the compassion and love of the Feminine, and can combine it with the strength and intelligence of the Masculine.
Tumblr media
And Axel’s character arc is essentially the same. They are both alike in so many ways. His Ultimate Gear is called “Double Edge”. His Champion gear is called “Rapid Spinner”, referring to the chakras, which are said to be like whirlpools of energy in the body. Chakra means “wheel” in Sanskrit. And these weapons are shaped like mandalas of the Third Eye and Crown chakras. Mandalas are geometric figures representing unity and harmony.
It’s also known as sacred geometry. It’s a symbol in a dream, representing the dreamer’s search for completeness and self-unity. Carl Jung used them a lot in his practice. He said they symbolize the wholeness of the self. These specific mandalas are used in Reiki for healing. And this is exactly why we’re never going to find out how Saïx got his scar. It’s fundamentally tied into these spiritual concepts.
Tumblr media
Xigbar: “Xion’s disappearance is fascinating. It seems Saïx doesn’t truly “see” her.”
Origin: The Sanskrit name for the 3rd Eye Chakra is called the Ajna (command, or in control). The color of Ajna is indigo or midnight blue, associated with depth of awareness.
Xemnas: “As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that…of a recusant.”
Location – Brow: Located in the center of the forehead between and above the eyes, this Chakra governs psychic abilities and spiritual discernment. Bodily, it governs the pineal and pituitary glands.
Saïx: “Settle down. Xion’s failings won’t affect your standing with us. You’ve nothing to worry about.”
Roxas: “Won’t affect my– What is WRONG with you? Look, I’ll do my mission–later.”
Level of Consciousness – 6th: Ajna Chakra is the command center, or the seat of wisdom where the consciousness evolves to understanding and acting on what we experience from a much deeper place of wisdom and insight. When Kundalini Shakti (spiritual energy) is awakened in this Chakra, it opens the 3rd eye, the inner eye of intuition and inner guidance. An under-active Ajna Chakra may show up in a lack of spiritual depth and understanding.
Saïx: Do you know what happens to those who lose their true purpose? Inevitably, they destroy themselves.
Soul Journey Stage – Breaking-Open: You have an urge to connect with your inner wisdom, to live your life in alignment with your inner guidance.
Xemnas: “Our experiments creating Heartless were attempts to control the mind, and convince it to renounce its sense of self.”
Element – Mind: In yogic tradition, it is believed that the mind is made up of the same 5 elements that the universe is made up of (earth, water, fire, air and ether). Ajna Chakra transcends the individual elements and opens the door to universal intelligence.
Saïx: “Nonsense. I see no problem whatsoever.”
Xigbar: “Ha ha! Well no, apparently you don’t!”
Saïx: “Something you find amusing?”
Xigbar: “If people see with their hearts, Saïx, then you’re even blinder than the rest of us.”
Quality – Intuition: The 3rd eye vision is the inner vision of intuition, insight and wisdom.
Tumblr media
Saïx: “Pitiful Heartless, mindlessly collecting hearts. The rage of the Keyblade releases those hearts. They gather in darkness, masterless and free… until they weave together to make Kingdom Hearts. And when that time comes, we can truly, finally exist.”
Origin: The Sanskrit name for the Crown Chakra is the Sahasrara, meaning the lotus of a thousand petals. Violet is the highest color in the light spectrum, and represents wisdom, awareness, and spiritual energy. White is also associated with the Crown Chakra. If your Chakra is underactive, you may lack interest in your spiritual self, you may not be open to intangible spiritual experiences.
Xemnas: “My friends! Remember why we have organized–all the things we hope to achieve. The strength of the human heart is vast. Soon, though…we will have gained power over it! Never again will it…have power over us.”
Level of Consciousness – 7th: This is the last milestone of the evolution of human consciousness, the door to Pure Consciousness. When Kundalini Shakti (spiritual energy) is awakened in this Chakra, the illusion of the individual self is dissolved. Self-realization sets in.
Xion: “I love Roxas and Axel. I’m sure Saïx would scoff at that. Call it a trick of my artificial memories. But the time I spent on that clock tower was real.”
Soul Journey Stage: You have an awareness of your own consciousness, a knowledge that the planet is connected by love, your philosophies are simple and straightforward.
Xemnas: “But then, through Roxas, Sora himself began to shape “it” into “her,” giving Xion a sense of identity. I was ready to scrap the whole project…”
Element – Energy: represents the cosmic energy that is awareness and pure consciousness.
Saïx: “Nngh… How much longer…Kingdom…Hearts… Will your strength never be mine?”
Quality – Bliss: When the Crown Chakra is open, we experience the eternal bliss, the peace that “passeth all understanding.”
Saïx: “Well, that didn’t take long. Did it break again?”
Roxas: “She’s not an ‘it’!”
Axel: “Keep your mouth shut.”
Sense – Empathy: This is because of the deep connection that we experience when the Crown Chakra energy is active.

Axel’s purple mandala-shaped weapons are the Emperor and Empress arcana of Luxord’s Tarot deck. The Red King and White Queen. Sol and Luna. Ultimate and Champion Gear. Saïx’s two weapons in these categories are the pink ones, lol. The ones shaped like Venus, the goddess of love, and Vesta, the goddess of sacred sexuality who’s known as the Keeper of the Sacred Flame.
Tumblr media
And in Luxord’s deck, you also have the Sun and Moon arcana. For the Moon arcana, Axel’s weapon is called “Dive Bomb” and shaped like more sacred geometry, and Saïx’s weapon is called “Luminary”, shaped like energy healing.
Tumblr media
The Sun arcana is the red “Omega Trinity”, shaped like the Ouroboros, another symbol of Rubedo and the union of Sol and Luna. It’s also a symbol of infinity, beyond the limits of time and space. And Saïx’s is called “Light Year”. Isa is light years away, but the red light can reach him and heal him. Their characters were all about healing each other. It’s why it’s so heartbreaking for me to see how Lea and Isa’s story was treated. You just don’t see many stories like theirs. It’s so positive and uplifting.
The writers have all of these sophisticated concepts in mind, and their artistic integrity gets trampled all over. KH is a lot like ATLA. They are both marketed as child-friendly, but you can tell that the writers for both series are extremely intelligent and well-educated. Though even ATLA got compromised artistically to make the live action movies…

Resolution
This paper was given as a talk at Mendocino State Hospital, Talmage, California in 1959 as the conclusion of a series of talks and demonstrations by Perls.
In our lectures and demonstrations I have presented Gestalt therapy as a series of bits and pieces which you may find of use. I assume now that you know much and I can go beyond the categories, divisions, and pieces to explore the center point, the resolution of the closed gestalt. My ambition has been to create a unified field theory in psychology. In this lecture I would lead you from the play of opposites to the unity of resolution, so that you might experience the goal implied in Gestalt work. This is the other side of the coin: unity instead of division; resolution! a coming home instead of wandering. As in all things the main barrier to resolution is ourselves, and particularly how we fantasize about ourselves and the world. In many respects resolution can seem so pleasant, mild and simple that we distrust it and by our questioning undo its peacefulness.
It is said we have a mind, that we have an id, ego, and so on. By projecting living experience into external categories we fantasy that we have grasped and can control something. I propose the idea of universal awareness as a useful hypothesis that runs counter to this tending to treat ourselves as things. We are awareness rather than have awareness. From our aware experiencing we can look on the rest of existence and suppose that there are varying degrees of awareness in all things. The flower that turns to the sun is aware of sunlight. The rock that falls experiences some difference between falling, hitting and lying still. In varying degrees, all things which are this rather than that, function this way rather than that, are varying degrees of awareness.
Awareness, consciousness, or excitement are similar experiences. Man’s awareness appears more comprehensive and hence more ambiguous than that of other things. The rock can only fall when it has no support: Without support we can project, repress, desensitize, etc. With the hypothesis of universal awareness we open up to considering ourselves in a living way rather than in the aboutisms of having a mind, ego, superego and so forth. Also, by the hypothesis of universal awareness we open up to considering ourselves as intrinsically like the rest of existence. Starting from isness, this awareness here now, we consider ourselves as we are, living, here, varied and similar to others and the rest of existence. It puts us in a position to contact, to move over boundaries, to range across differences, to find resolution.
Whether our awareness is greater than or more intense than that of animals, bacteria, cells, plants or stars I do not know. We need to suspect the vanity of saying we are the most conscious. It seems clear, though, that our awareness is the most ambiguous. It seems to split, divide and conceal itself more easily than rocks and plants. Most of what we have talked about is this apparent tendency to divide into foreground (what we sharply experience) and background (what is less differentiated). Foreground is in dynamic relationship to background. Very simply, what cannot be here, is there. Background is all other; the world outside, meanings projected, other selves as dreams, our potentials, everyone and everything else. What cannot be here, is anyway and so is there; or, at least, appears there. If I cannot leave the room when I feel like it, I leave in fantasy. That way I can be here and there simultaneously. I can be kind and unkind, elated and depressed and so forth, simultaneously. It is partly the assumption that “I am this and not that” which is wrong, which creates a division, which we will need to amplify so that the missing part can also be conscious.
Actually our idea of the unconscious as being what is packed away and unused is wrong. What we do not know as ourselves is lived out anyway and can be seen by friends. It is as if we have a conservation of mental energy that corresponds to the conservation of matter/energy in Einstein’s relativity theory. Nothing ever dies or disappears altogether in the realm of awareness. What is not lived here as consciousness lives there as muscle tension, unaccountable emotion, perception of others, and so forth. Nothing disappears, but much is displaced or misplaced. Boredom, for instance, which is a dreary state, also contains a drive to do something. The man dying of thirst has water everywhere except on his tongue. In Gestalt therapy we are in the paradoxical situation of always dealing with a two-part existence, what is awareness here and now, and what this awareness stands in relation to. Foreground implies background. The background shapes foreground.
What cannot come forth here appears there as other. My rejected resentment turns up as your obvious faults. Most of therapy is finding these splits, and activating both sides. Any activating of both sides tends to gather them together again. Questions are created out of the suspicion of the answer. The question that is intensified collapses into its own answer.
It is partly the demand for differences, the questioning, that divides. What are you aware of now? This rather than that. Can you be aware of this and that? Well yes, but not with the same intensity. The demand for intensity, the questioning, the expecting of this rather than that, creates the foreground-background misplacing of part of ourselves.
In love and especially in orgasm it is as though we experience across the boundary of selves to a contact that leads to the confluence of orgasm, to unifying differences. Understanding, which is more than aboutism or bullshit, is also an assimilation of differences. But let us for the moment break out of the differences which our concepts, our psychopathologies, and our ways of thinking almost insist upon, and join in universal awareness, in the zero point of creative indifference, the resolution of the quiet center.
In Taoism there is the yin/yang symbol which represents the interplay of opposites. The white half of the circle is growing darker, and the dark half is growing whiter. The two interact to make the round of existence. What is it like to experience both sides at once? It is ambiguous. “Am I a strong heterosexual man or an effeminate homosexual?” A full awareness can experience both, and not need to resolve the difference. “Do I love or resent her?” I can experience both and this brings life and complexity to our relationship. Emerson said consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds. Consistency demands that we experience one or the other. Much of the time we experience both sides, opposites. And this enriches the range of our possibilities.
In fact, the more you try to be just one-sided, the more the other side is also experienced. If I must be strong and dominant in all situations, I am forever watching for and experiencing potential weakness. If I must be a very good saint, I become aware of evil everywhere. If I am good, you appear evil. We don’t hate or love the world, only ourselves. Each is the all of awareness. Resolution is closer to experiencing good and evil, dominance and submission, top-dog and underdog. The more we would tilt all power to top-dog, the more powerful underdog becomes. It is the effort to make a top-dog which creates the equally powerful underdog. At the point of resolution top-dog and underdog are both present aspects of the same dog. You can enjoy the yin or the yang of opposites in this Chinese symbol, or experience it as a unified balance, which we call, simply, awareness. As the yin and yang interplay our consciousness is rich, varied, changing, exciting, not quite predictable, surprising.
Although we are dealing with the resolution of conflict, to find the satisfied and somewhat ambiguous center between opposites, I would also like to resolve our conflict with conflict. Suppose, for the moment, we could satisfy everyone’s needs fully — a world of satisfaction. Would all action stop? Perhaps people would sit and sleep for a day or two, but action would begin again. Here a man would choose to build a needed workshop. A woman would make a dress, and so on. Out of this renewed action would appear again conflict, frustration, and difficulty. Though we need resolution for a time, just as sleep makes up one third of life, still it would be boring without action and conflict. Though we seem forever trying to put out the fire of conflict, we do not really want to put it out altogether. Perhaps we just want to contain it, like a fire in the hearth. If we didn't get thirsty we would fail to drink. But drinking enough is very different from drowning. Conflict, the unfinished situation, is itself a call toward resolution. The conflict we seek and respect is that arising out of the new combination of circumstances in the now. It is not an unaccountable replay reflecting what we dread and experience repeatedly. Therapy gets the individual past the dead replay to the new creative conflict which invites growth, change, excitement, the adventure of living.
There is but awareness endlessly coming forth. Beyond awareness there is nothing. At all points of discomfort it seeks to make itself comfortable. This one awareness appears to split into self/other so that in the trouble of search and finding, it can recall its parts and find itself intensely. Unquestioned, in peace, it finds itself as one. The apparent boundaries of me/you, mine/thine, become fluid, disappear and reappear carelessly. It is not wrong to question and divide, but it is even more complete to see that the question arises from its own answer and that the function of boundary and difference is to excite a contact resolution. The gestalt opens to demand closing and the energy toward closing is in the opening.
The unified field is satisfaction, the oneness of what is, isness. Question that this is so, and you create the split, the search, the apparent need that could again lead to unity, satisfaction, the closed gestalt. Deepen the split and it reaches across to find itself.
One symbol for this is the Buddhist mudra in which the thumb and one finger make a circle. Thumb and finger appear as two, making a circle, the round of existence. Yet these two are one hand, one life. The other three fingers represent the multiplicity of existence which is also one hand and one life. In most gestalt work we find and exercise the split, so that the parts of unity may come together. Yet, away from our own questioning and demands we can enjoy the unity of awareness in which the division within self disappears as do the splits between self and others, self and the rest of the world. One awareness. It is aware aliveness, experiencing conflict at all points that parts of itself have been displaced and growth is called for.
Somehow I feel mellower than usual today. This is a fitting place to end a series of talks. You have been a very receptive group and I have done quite well.

“Enjoyment appears at the boundary between boredom and anxiety, when the challenges are just balanced with the person's capacity to act.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“Contrary to what we usually believe, moments like these, the best moments in our lives, are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times—although such experiences can also be enjoyable, if we have worked hard to attain them. The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. Optimal experience is thus something that wemake happen. For a child, it could be placing with trembling fingers the last blockon a tower she has built, higher than any she has built so far; for a swimmer, it could be trying to beat his own record; for a violinist, mastering an intricate musical passage. For each person there are thousands of opportunities, challenges to expand ourselves.”
― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience
“The task is to learn how to enjoy everyday life without diminishing other people's chances to enjoy theirs.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“Basic Principles:1. Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy.2. There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life -- including ourselves.3. When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to the creator's creativity within us and our lives.4. We are, ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves.5. Creativity is God's gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God.6. The refusal to be creative is self-will and is counter to our true nature.7. When we open ourselves to exploring our creativity, we open ourselves to God: good orderly direction.8. As we open our creative channel to the creator, many gentle but powerful changes are to be expected.9. It is safe to open ourselves up to greater and greater creativity.10. Our creative dreams and yearnings come from a divine source. As we move toward our dreams, we move toward our divinity.”
― Julia Cameron
“Katsa watched the long grass moving around them. The wind pushed it, attacked it, struck it in one place and then another. It rose and fell and rose again. It flowed, like water.” ― Kristin Cashore, Graceling
“Flattery does not encourage the perfect flow of love in the vein of your relationship. Be genuine and speak out what you feel for each other without hiding the painful truth.” ― Michael Bassey Johnson
“But it is impossible to enjoy a tennis game, a book, or a conversation unless attention is fully concentrated on the activity.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“So it is said, for him who understands Heavenly joy, life is the working of Heaven; death is the transformation of things. In stillness, he and the yin share a single Virtue; in motion, he and the yang share a single flow.” ― Zhuangzi, The Complete Works of Chuang Tzu
“When we strike a balance between the challenge of an activity and our skill at performing it, when the rhythm of the work itself feels in sync with our pulse, when we know that what we're doing matters, we can get totally absorbed in our task. That is happiness. The life coach Martha Beck asks new potential clients, "Is there anything you do regularly that makes you forget what time it is?" That forgetting -- that pure absorption -- is what the psychologist Mihaly Csikzentmihalyi calls "flow" or optimal experience. In an interview with Wired magazine, he described flow as "being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. Your whole being is involved, and you're using your skills to the utmost."In a typical day that teeters between anxiety and boredom, flow experiences are those flashes of intense living -- bright against the dull. These optimal experiences can happen when we're engaged in work paid and unpaid, in sports, in music, in art. The researchers Maria Allison and Margaret Duncan have studied the role of flow in women's lives and looked at factors that contributed to what they call "antiflow." Antiflow was associated with repetitive household tasks, repetitive tasks at work, unchallenging tasks, and work we see as meaningless. But there's an element of chaos when it comes to flow. Even if we're doing meaningful and challenging work, that sense of total absoprtion can elude us. We might get completely and beautifully lost in something today, and, try as we might to re-create the same conditions tomorrow, our task might jsut feel like, well, work. In A Life of One's Own, Marion Milner described her effort to re-create teh conditions of her own recorded moments of happiness, saying, "Often when I felt certain that I had discovered the little mental act which produced the change I walked on air, exulting that I had found the key to my garden of delight and could slip through the door whenever I wished. But most often when I came again the place seemed different, the door overgrown with thorns and my key stuck in the lock. It was as if the first time I had said 'abracadabra' the door had opened, but the next time I must use a different word. (123-124).”
― Ariel Gore, Bluebird: Women and the New Psychology of Happiness
“The essence of socialization is to make people dependent on social controls, to have them respond predictably to rewards and punishments.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“Our prayers for others flow more easily than those for ourselves. This shows we are made to live by charity.” ― C.S. Lewis
“The flow. Yeah. Knowing you could step on the court and make it happen. You practiced, sure. But then, when you walked out there, you could just go. You could flow, that was it: you created and you didn't totally know how. You just knew you could, so you did. It wasn't thinking and it wasn't imitating somebody else's moves, though you always looked carefully when you watched good players play. But when you played... it was something you couldn't explain. Neal used to know. It didn't come from thinking about it.” ― Doug Wilhelm, Falling
“...they make us dependent on a social system that exploits our energies for its own purposes. ...If a person learns to enjoy and find meaning in the ongoing stream of experience, in the process of living itself, the burden of social controls automatically falls from one's shoulders.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“Nothing that is good can become stuck – and if it is stuck, it can’t be any good!” ― Silvia Hartmann
“I take showers to think.” ― J.R. Rim
“...the concentration is usually possible because the task undertaken has clear goals and provides immediate feedback.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“As your faith is strengthened, you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will and that you will flow with them to your great delight and benefit.” ― Emmanuel Teney
“Life is a dance between heaven and earth, the ebb and flow of life.” ― Maurice Spees
“Wealth, status, and power have become in our culture all too powerful symbols of happiness. ... And we assume that if only we could acquire some of those same symbols, we would be nuch happier.” ― Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Tarot Card Meanings ( Quick Reference Guide) – The Witches Gossip Corner 14-18 minutes If you are just learning the Tarot, print off this list of tarot card meanings to keep as a handy reference – it can be easier to look up meanings on a sheet of paper rather than flipping through the little white booklet that comes with most Tarot decks. The Tarot deck is made up of 78 Tarot cards, each with its own unique Tarot card meaning. There are 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards across four suits (Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands). The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards that reflect key archetypes or spiritual lessons in our lives. rider-waite-major-arcana MAJOR ARCANA The 22 cards of the major arcana are the heart of the deck. Each of these cards symbolizes some universal aspect of human experience. They represent the archetypes – consistent, directing patterns of influence that are an inherent part of human nature. Each card in the major arcana has a name and number. Some names convey a card’s meaning directly, such as Strength, Justice, and Temperance. Other cards are individuals who personify a particular approach to life, such as the Magician or the Hermit. There are also cards with astronomical names, such as the Star, Sun, and Moon. They represent the elusive forces associated with these heavenly bodies. 0 The Fool – New beginnings, optimism, trust in life; Reversed: Delays 1 The Magician – Action, the power to manifest; Reversed: Misunderstandings. 2 The High Priestess – Inaction, going within, the subconscious; Reversed: Manipulations. 3 The Empress – Abundance, nurturing, fertility, life in bloom; Reversed: Neglect 4 The Emperor – Structure, stability, rules, and power; Reversed: Chaos 5 The Hierophant – Institutions, tradition, society and its rules; Reversed: Hypocrisy 6 The Lovers – Sexuality, passion, choice, uniting; Reversed: Separation 7 The Chariot – Movement, progress, integration; Reversed: Defeat 8 Strength – Courage, subtle power, integration of animal self; Reversed: Fear 9 The Hermit – Meditation, solitude, consciousness; Reversed: Isolation 10 Wheel of Fortune – Cycles, change, ups, and downs; Reversed: Stagnation 11 Justice – Fairness, equality, balance; Reversed: Lies 12 The Hanged Man – Surrender, a new perspective, enlightenment; Reversed: Stubbornness. 13 Death – The end of something, change, the impermeability of all things; Reversed: Limbo 14 Temperance – Balance, moderation, being sensible; Reversed: Impatience 15 The Devil – Destructive patterns, addiction, giving away your power; Reversed: Freedom 16 The Tower – Collapse of stable structures, release, sudden insight; Reversed: Control 17 The Star – Hope, calm, a good omen; Reversed: Darkness 18 The Moon – Mystery, the subconscious, dreams; Reversed: Paranoia 19 The Sun – Success, happiness, all will be well; Reversed: Failure 20 Judgment – Rebirth, a new phase, inner calling; Reversed: Regrets 21 The World – Completion, wholeness, attainment, celebration of life; Reversed: Incomplete minor-arcana MINOR ARCANA There are 56 cards in the minor arcana divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Each of these suits stands for a particular approach to life:    Swords    The Swords are the suit of intellect, thought and reason. They are concerned with justice, truth, and ethical principles. Swords are associated with the element Air. A cloudless sky, open and light-filled, is a symbol of the mental clarity that is the Swords ideal. This suit is also associated with states that lead to disharmony and unhappiness. Our intellect is a valuable asset, but as an agent of ego, it can lead us astray if it is not infused with the wisdom of our Inner Guide.    Cups    The Cups are the suit of emotions and spiritual experience. They describe inner states, feelings and relationship patterns. The energy of this suit flows inward. Cups correspond to the yin, or feminine principle, in Chinese philosophy and are associated with the element Water. The ability of water to flow and fill up spaces, to sustain and to reflect changing moods makes it the ideal symbol of the Cups suit.    Wands    The Wands are the suit of creativity, action, and movement. They are associated with such qualities as enthusiasm, adventure, risk-taking, and confidence. This suit corresponds to the yang, or masculine principle, in Chinese philosophy and is associated with the element Fire. A flickering flame is the perfect symbol of the Wands force. This energy flows outward and generates passionate involvement.    Pentacles    The Pentacles are the suit of practicality, security and material concerns. They are associated with the element Earth and the concrete requirements of working with matter. In Pentacles, we celebrate the beauty of nature, our interactions with plants and animals and our physical experiences in the body. Pentacles also represent prosperity and wealth of all kinds. Sometimes this suit is called the Coins, an obvious symbol of the exchange of goods and services in the physical world. SUIT OF SWORDS suit-of-swords-tarot-cards    Other Names: Staves, arrows, spades    Element: Air    Attributes: Active, male    Astrological Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius    Direction: West    Season: Pagan – Spring / Esoteric – Autumn    Self: Mind, thoughts, intellect    Jungian Function: Thinking    Body Part: Head    Qabalistic World: Yetzirah – the Formative World Air is seen as the intellect, logic, and reasoning. An active element, Air circulates and so cleanses; it carries your thoughts and dreams; is also expansive when hot and is said to be expressive. Your mind or thoughts can be seen as clear or clouded; speech requires breath, which requires air. Swords represent logic, the mind, and your thoughts. They deal with problems and troubles, planning, communication, ideas, your intellect and how you use it. They represent your daily and life struggles, problems in general. The very nature of a sword is aggressive and warlike. Combined with the swiftness of air, the combination can see situations arise quickly. The ability to see clearly means the resolution is quick also. Swords people are great thinkers. You will find them in the study, research, academia, the sciences, law courts, and libraries. They love to learn and live to do it in any capacity. Keywords: decisions, worries, problems, issues, tension, communication, intelligence, disagreements; arguments, logic, reason, cognition, ideas, inspirations, balance, equilibrium, the mind, mentalism, thinking, facts and figures, definition. Reversed: vicious, ruthless, manipulative, cold, unemotional, spite and malice, accidents, inertia, indecision, confusion, mental blockages, biased, illogical, mental health issues, negative life changes.    King – Serious, controlling, rational and mind/intellect-focused; Reversed: Foolish    Queen – Intelligent, writer, communicative yet cold; Reversed: Ineffective    Knight – Fierce, determined, aggressively pursues goals; Reversed: Boredom    Page – mentally unstable or intellectually immature, acts without thinking; Reversed: Stupidity    Ace of Swords – A fresh start, a sudden opportunity or idea, clarity; Reversed: Improbable    2 – Indecision; Reversed: Conflicts    3– Heartbreak, betrayal; Reversed: Torment    4 – Meditation, rest, retreat; Reversed: Disturbance    5 – Mind games, hostility; Reversed: Treachery    6 – Leaving, accepting help, going somewhere better; Reversed: Trouble    7 – Secret plans, abandoning ship; Reversed: Clumsiness    8 – feeling powerless and stuck; Reversed: Escaping    9 – Overactive mind, anxiety; Reversed: Martyrdom    10 – Feeling defeated, self-sabotage; Reversed: Sabotage SUIT OF CUPS suit-of-cups-tarot-cards    Other Names: Chalices, Grails, Cauldrons, Hearts, Vessels    Element: Water    Attributes: Passive, female; cold, wet    Astrological Signs: Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio    Direction: East    Season: Pagan – Autumn- / Esoteric – Summer    Self: Emotions, love, receptivity    Jungian Function: Feeling    Body Part: Heart    Qabalistic World: Briah – the Creative World Water is seen as the emotions, your feelings, and your intuition. Considered passive, water can be deep or shallow; you like the ocean, are responsive to the moon; your tears can rise and fall; out of control, your emotions flood; Cups represent your emotions, feelings, your subconscious, intuition, and psychism. They deal with love affairs, all relationships, inner expression, your reactions or responses and the pursuit of happiness. Generally passive and not outwardly extrovert, creativity through expression are some of the traits of this suit.
