Here's a sketch from a fantasy AU that I play with. I wanted to make the blade on Arlo's gunblade / pokeball launcher / harpoon much bigger (almost twice his height), but I worked with the canvas size, for now. Consider that the pocket version. I'll elaborate more another day.

For Candela's harpoon: Candela has a simple weapon because she can do more with it. This checks out with martial arts because the more simple the weapon in the hands of a skilled fighter, the more problems they'll cause for everyone else

For Arlo's...yeah: Arlo is crazy. Everything is going to be crazy, and the worst part about his crazy is that his shit is probably going to actually work, as long as he isn't so crazy that it doesn't work. It isn't impressive that it cost an entire country's GDP to design; it's impressive that he didn't kill himself during the testing phase.

Then, when you're finally drained, and bedridden, they watch you as you stumble to the bathroom to make sure you don't fall, and wash the bedsheets you got sick on. They click on the science channel and sit on the other side of the room as you fall back asleep. You ask for water. You take a shot of lime juice instead and they laugh at the face you make. They give you water after and everything is right in the world.

I’ll get better photos later, but Ottie got a funny haircut at the groomer so we have more time to solidify a new home-grooming routine to accommodate for her sudden addition of full body fluff, so we don’t end up with a big mat again :) This will be easier for our adventuring too cos it’s hard to not get her hair in her favorite harness, which weakens the strength of the Velcro, and causes her to get free. She’s easy to catch but we live VERY close to a VERY busy road so I am VERY nervous about her getting loose. Maybe now I won’t need to put her in two harnesses 😅
