"He tried to do what?" You looked at Thor - your brother-in-law in disbelief, mouth agape. He had just returned from his stay on Midgard. After finding out Loki was still alive and in the possession of the Tesseract, Thor had made it his mission to take his brother back home and stop him from whatever he had planned to do with the powerful item. Well, now Thor was back home - and just told you what had happened.

"H-He tried to take over New York? Crown himself as their ruler? Their king?" The blonde God nodded. "I am so sorry, Y/N. I know how happy you had been after finding out your husband is still alive... And now I have to bring you such devastating news." You swallowed hard, finding it hard to believe Thor's words. Sure, Loki had always wanted to be king, but to go this far? To do something brutish like this? It was totally not like him. Something about all this seemed weird and off for you. "Where... Where is he now?" Thor swallowed visibly, nervous about telling you what was currently happening within the palace without your knowledge. "I brought him back here. To Asgard." Your eyes widened again. "He's here?" Once again Thor nodded. "He is... In the throne room. My father is deciding about his fate right now. Whether he gets to live, or..." Thor trailed off, averting his eyes. There was pain in his heart as well. The harsh reality hit you, his words crashing down on you. Oh norns. Your breath hitched in your throat, as you suddenly felt like you couldn't breathe. He could die... Your husband was probably going to die. You had just found him again and now you were probably going to lose him straight away? Once and for all this time? Your brain was seconds away from short-circuiting; your heart threatening to burst into a million pieces. There was only one thought on your mind right now... "I-I have to go. I-I need to see him." You stammered out, tears already burning in your eyes. You took a few steps back, before you made a run for the door. "Y/N, no! Don't!" You heard Thor yell after you, but you didn't care. You just started to run, as fast as your feet could carry you, straight to the throne room.

Ignoring the guards at the door, you pushed past them and before they could even react, you had stormed through the big, golden doors. Ordin's voice died down; all eyes were now directed on you, but you had just eyes for your prince, which stood at the foot of the Allfather's throne, bound in chains. "Loki!" You cried out, tears flowing down your cheeks.

Your broken, hurt voice urged to the God's ears, but they never reached his heart. His mind was still clouded, his eyes unable to see you. Although, a tiny fraction in his brain screamed at him to rip himself from the guards grasps and hurry over to you; take you in his arms and never let go again. But this fraction was yet too small, got quickly drowned out by the other voices in his head.

Odin raised his voice then again, ignoring your pleas and cries to let you go to your husband. "My decision is final, Loki. Time changed, but you didn't. It seems like the old pattern stayed as well... Nothing is for you, nothing was for you, nothing remains for you… forever, my son. You choose your fate yourself. There is no one else to blame. It's a shame..." The Allfather's gaze travelled to you after his spoken words. "Especially for your dear wife. Look what you've done to her." You didn't know what Odin was talking about. Which fate? What was going to happen to him? Odin nodded towards the doors then. "Take him away." The guards which were holding onto Loki's arms started to drag him away now. "No, no, no! Loki!" You screamed again. "What is happening?! Please!" You pushed and pulled, trying to free yourself from the harsh grips of the two men. "Please!" You used all your strength - and indeed managed to break free. Without hesitation, you quickly ran up to Loki, throwing yourself against his body and slinging your arms around his neck. "Loki!" You sobbed, overwhelmed by all the emotions, running through your veins. To your surprise, the guards stayed put, letting you have this moment. "W-What happened, I... Oh gods, w-what is going to happen?!" He didn't answer you. Odin answered instead. "He is going to spend the rest of his life in the dungeons." It hit you - hard. The world came crashing down on you. Sure, some might say at least he wasn't going to die, but... There were things worse than death... And this was such a thing.

You didn't know what to say, were way too overwhelmed. Instead, you backed up, placed your hands on his chest. "L-Loki, I-" "Don't." He interrupted you immediately, shaking his head. "Just don't." You were utterly confused by his words and looked up into his blue eyes. They were cold. Rough. Without a single spark of love. You swallowed. This wasn't your Loki. Those weren't the blue eyes which gazed at you so full with love on every opportunity they got. Something clouded them. Something dark and evilly. This wasn't the man you loved... The man you had married all those years ago. The man you had seen your future with.

Loki stepped away from you - from your touch, causing an ice-cold shiver to run down your spine. That was the moment where your heart ultimately crumbled to the ground, shattered into pieces. He had rejected you - for the first time ever. He may have had quite a few rough days in the past, but he had never ever rejected you. It hurt.

You looked at him with blurry eyes; everybody in the big room watching the almost scandalous, unbelievable scenes unfolding in front of them. You swallowed hard, trying to find some words. "Y-You... You are rejecting me?" You asked with a broken, bitter voice. "Why?" The God averted his eyes from you; stoically looking ahead of you. "It is for the best, Y/N. Can't you see?" His words hurt you even more. What had happened to him? You quickly saw that it was pointless. He had clearly made his choice, so you stepped back, body trembling. "What happened to you? I don't know you anymore." He turned his head to face you again, giving you a malicious smile. "I've seen the future. The inevitable, powerful future." You shook your head. "You're not the man I married... Not anymore." With those words you turned away from him. Perhaps Odin was right... Nothing remained for him - nor you.

heyyyyyy how's holidays goin for my fav author! hope u r doing fine if it isn't too much of an inconvenience can I ask you something hope this isn't a vibe killer so I was thinking about the relationships in Trouvaille the boys are into y/n and our girlie is into each one of them too this is ot7x reader I get that I was just wondering whether there was any chance it was gonna be like a polyamorous relationship in the future where like everyone is into everyone and they become a one huge pack but on second thoughts since they all are predators and as Yoongi said they don't like sharing and all it kinda feels like that won't work out too it was just a passing thought (cuz obviously Trouvaille lives in my head rent free) and I was kinda curious don't mind me too much if it rubs you the wrong way feel free to ignore too I don't want to make you uncomfortable 🥺 I just loooooooooooooove Trouvaille and i must say your characterization is just out of this world I love each and everyone one especially Y/n!!! hands down this is one of the best stories I have ever read and my favorite. I still remember the day I first came across the story in march the whole year had passed by just like that! I was planning on just having Trouvaille OT7 x reader, but like you said about them all becoming like a big "pack", I think that's were its heading. As time goes on, I think that the hybrids will view each other as family/brothers, and since they all will end up caring for the MC so much, I think they'll work together to protect her and put her well-being first (meaning, trying not to be jealous of one another around the MC, limiting the fighting, etc) Don't worry about making me uncomfortable, love, it's a great idea-- and there IS a fic that comes to mind that plays with some of the dynamics you've mentioned that is also OT7 x reader AND hybrid!AU -- @angelicyoongie 's Abundance so I definitely recommend checking that fic out if you're interested! I really really love that fic and Maggy is a wonderful author. 💞💜
