He’s not ignoring you. His arm, slung up on your shoulders, is just a heavy, toned reminder that he’s with you. His attention is just elsewhere.

You aren’t totally sure what book he’s reading. Probably something of Stephen King’s. Last week, it had been Christine. The week prior, It. You hadn’t bothered checking; if it was a low-stress week, he’d tell you all about it once he finished it, true book-critic style. In any case, he’s got the thing casually in his lap, spread open by a splayed hand. He’s got a simple silver band on his middle finger, gnarled and twisted like barbed wire — every now and then, he taps it, just an occasional beat of sound as if to remind you that he’s right there.

You’re ogling his hand, now. He doesn’t seem to notice.

Your eyes travel upward. He’s got a pretty sleeve of black-and-white tattoos; churning ocean waves, storm-battered whitecaps, tossing ships. He’d explained it the first time you’d seen it; something about how he found peace in the chaos of an ocean storm. Just standing in a place where there was no resistance that he could give. Surrendering to the fury of nature. Something like that. It’s…um, attractive. Yeah. You swallow and resist the sudden urge to squeeze your legs together.

The top of that sleeve — thick, billowing clouds — vanishes under the edge of his tee. Charcoal-gray, emblazoned with the title of an old rock band that you’d never really heard of prior to meeting him. He’s still wearing his dog-tag, hanging on a silver chain around his neck and rising on his chest every time he breathes.

Christ, you should stop staring.

His shirt’s ridden up on his stomach, and god, you really shouldn’t look because then you won’t be able to look away. But you do look, because what are you if not a swooning idiot for the sniper sitting beside you?

Every time he breathes, his stomach sinks in and you can see the outline of his abs. God. Fucking Christ. You can see the outline of his abs but not really the middle, because along the middle he’s proudly sporting a long line of short black curls.

You’re basically salivating.

He’s just got some loose gray boxers on, sitting dangerously low on his hips. He’s left the v-line of his hips exposed; your senses are on high alert, eyes catching on every little mole spotting his waist, every little white scar, the edge of the paw-print tattoos he has just below his stomach (it’s where Riley’s front feet go when the dog stands up on his hind legs, tail wagging and tongue lolling), and it’s such a cute little tattoo but your thoughts are anything but and—

“Don’t forget to blink.”

You flinch like you’ve been shot. Your mind goes blank, and your gaze shoots upward.

Tiny smirk caught in the corner of his mouth, Keegan looks down at you with lidded, quietly humored eyes. They seem brilliantly blue, moreso than usual — though maybe that’s just the lighting in here. His hair’s a mess; short and still damp from his earlier shower, undercut scrubbing against your arm as he turns his head, just a little, one eyebrow raised. There’s a little scar through his left one; the hair splits unevenly there. You’ve told him several times that you find it sexy.

He agrees.

“What?” Your mouth feels like it’s filled with a fat wad of cotton. You feel like your thoughts are visible in your eyes.

“Don’t play stupid.” His response is honey-smooth. “I’m not dumb.”

“I didn’t say y…you were.” You swallow. “I’m just sitting here.”

“Mm.” Keegan narrows his eyes. “Mhm.”

And then he goes back to that book.

It’s kind of ridiculous, how hard you stare at his hand holding that book open. It’s almost pathetic, actually. You’re sure he’d say the same if he knew exactly what thoughts were running through your head right now. Pinkie finger on one page, index on the other, middle and ring both resting so lightly along the inseam of the spine.

Christ.

Trying to shake yourself out of your own head, you turn yourself inwards. Keegan needs no words; his arm tightens around you, hand sliding down to your hip and tugging it over so that you’re fully facing his side, head resting against his chest and body slung down along his leg. It’s comfortable like this; it goes without saying that he’s built like a motherfucker and so his pec is a comfortable resting-place for your head. He’s warm, too, deliciously so; his body heat seeps up through his tee, prickling against your skin. He’s comfy, so comfy; on other nights, you’d fallen asleep like this, cuddled up to his side with one of his arms wrapped around you. Those nights were sweet; when time started to slow and all of your senses started to bleed together, you always heard him call your name, so quiet you wouldn’t catch it if you were awake. When you didn’t answer, he’d laugh — and then you’d hear the rustle of sheets as he stooped over and pressed a little kiss to the top of your head.

You weren’t totally sure if he knew that you knew he did that.

Tonight, though, you can’t do that. You can’t fathom it, because your hand is just itching to move. It’s just casually resting against his thigh — god, his fucking thighs, hard and thick and oh, you have to stop ogling him. You have to stop thinking about how that muscle feels, flexing so slightly under your hand as it moves up.

Moves up?

Oh.

Oops.

Keegan doesn’t say anything when your hand cups the warm spot between his legs. He lets out a short breath — it almost sounds like a laugh. There’s a curve taking shape on his lips, and his eyes glint with humor as he shifts, purposefully pushing his pelvis so slightly up into your palm.

The weight of his dick pushes between your fingers and your legs instinctively snap together. Above you, Keegan’s breath cracks into a nearly-silent laugh.

He’s onto you.

You bite your lip, risking a glance up at him as you do. He isn’t looking at you; he’s still reading, hawkish blue eyes scanning from left to right, over and over again. The hand on your hip lightly squeezes a handful of your thigh.

His hips roll so slightly up again. He’s daring you to continue.

Cocky sonofabitch. You swallow as you move your hand up, up, over the slight angular swell of his abdomen and up past the elastic of his boxers. For a moment, you rake your fingers up his abs and you shudder in response to the way his stomach flexes and his breathing oh-so-slightly breaks.

No words. Just the sound of him turning the page.

Bitch. You bite your tongue as you shift your head around. You can hear his heart thumping beneath your ear, and — god fucking dammit — it’s not beating quicker at all. It’s like you can’t disturb him. Get under his skin like he gets under yours.

You pick at the elastic of his waistband. On one hand? You’re rubbing your legs together, biting your tongue, and there’s a million and one dirty images in your head. You can practically hear Keegan’s growl in your ear: too needy to sit still, princess?

But on the other hand, he’s being mean. He’s ignoring you and all of your signs. And you kind of want to just roll over and go to sleep and maybe, just maybe, he’d been hoping for you to go further.

But you won’t. So he’ll get frustrated, and then it’ll be him slowly reaching his hand under the elastic of your waistband, fingers curving over the shape of your body and feeling for wet warmth. He’ll breathe in your ear with that stupid rasp of his and he’ll ask, voice raw, if you were really planning on hanging me out to dry like that? and you’ll say maybe I was.

Or he’ll get frustrated, but he’ll reach into his own pants. He’ll leave you alone, but you’ll wake up to the quiet sound of his muted groans and his hand stroking back and forth under the thin material of his boxers and then maybe he’ll do that thing where he tips his head back, swallows, and his eyes flutter shut and he cursed, quiet and hoarse.

Or maybe—

“Cold feet?” There he is again, short phrases and little questions. He’s not looking at you; he’s looking at his book, tilting his head as he turns the page. He raises an eyebrow to you, tongue clasped between his teeth.

“What?”

No response this time. Keegan’s eyes shift over to you; he cocks his head in your direction, and under that messy black mop of hair and those thick black lashes that you’ve always been envious of, Keegan silently asks if you’re really going to play this fucking dumb.

You’ve arrived at a stalemate. You don’t move. He doesn’t speak. You two just stare at each other, blinking back-and-forth like a tennis volley until Keegan finally sighs and looks away. His eyes return to the book.

You’re about to snap, ready to rip the godforsaken thing out of his lap, when the hand on your hip shifts. His arm lifts off of your back; it pulls around your shoulders instead, crushing you into his armpit.

His fingers clasp around your wrist, and you catch the undeniable edge of a smirk on his face before he takes your hand and pulls it into his pants.

I’ve never read moby dick in my entire life but seeing you post about it so much made me want to give it a try! any warnings before I go into it? :D

oh my god gbskxjs okay first of all im honored that my mad posting has had this effect :DD!! you are so powerful for this, genuinely 💙💙

and secondly YEAH ok i can absolutely give some warnings!!!! this answer got long tho so I'm gonna put it under the cut 🐳💙

Firstly: the main thing most people struggle with in Moby Dick (myself included) is how utterly rambley the narrator is.

there WILL be pages upon chapters at a time where he simply Cannot get to the point, which is frustrating!!! something that helped me to keep in mind, though, is that Ishmael is doing that on purpose to avoid having to relive his trauma. It helped me to think of his whale rants as either a friend infodumping, or a desperate plea for the story to stop repeating.

if that doesn't help, you can always look up a summary for a chapter to see if there's any plot you'll miss by skipping it lmao

The Racism. This is a novel written by a white man in the early 1800s. There is some bullshit in this.

Although Melville does try to be conscious abt race and stereotypes, and has a very diverse cast, he still majorly fucks up. He regularly refers to several major characters as "s*vage", uses outdated terminology for Black people, throws out all sorts of shitty descriptors for folks, and rarely lets the characters of color speak for themselves. It's important to be aware of that going in.

This one is a weird dichotomy though, bc like. on one hand. all of that is infuriating. but on the other hand, the love interest of the narrator is literally a Pasifika man who is a gorgeous character that undercuts a ton of stereotypes and is allowed to be a nuanced person with a life that exists outside of the white characters. There's several characters of color who get to be People and have nuanced experiences and vibrant lives!! Pip and Tashtego and arguably Ahab himself are all fascinatingly nuanced folks that are not entirely bound by stereotypes!!

However comma, there's also an entire character who isn't allowed to exist outside of "evil zoroastrian stereotype" so hgbbjggbngmdhhf. it's a whole thing. Be aware of it.

Animal death — this is a book about whaling gbsjfjjf

Seriously though a significant portion of the book is dedicated to violently killing and then harvesting the corpses of whales. It does get sad! Some whales are killed more brutally than others. There is gore.

Rope violence/strangulation

This is just a safe one to mention. Lots of shit goes wrong with the rigging/harpoon lines in the book. Several characters are seriously injured or killed directly due to this.

Suicidal themes/tragedy

The first chapter literally starts off the book with this gbskfjwjd but it is a present theme throughout, and especially in regards to the final tragedy. A significant portion of the story involves characters thinking that they have no choices left but to die.

In tandem with that, this book is a tragedy. Like a "everybody dies" kind of tragedy. Do not go into this story thinking that you're getting a happy ending out of it LMAO. there's love and joy and good times within the story, but it ultimately ends in tragedy.

This is a long ass post, but hopefully it's thorough enough to give you answers!!! On the more uplifting side: I did have a fantastic time reading this. The characters are all super compelling, the queer rep is incredible for the time, the narrative is truly awesome, and it genuinely left a huge impact on me. It definitely earns its place as a masterpiece of American literature imo.

I will also note that if you would prefer to engage with an adaptation of MobyDick that is not narratively racist to its characters, generally more accessible, and also gorgeous, I will always recommend @pocketsizedquasar 's Moby Dick (Or, The Webcomic)! It is, as of yet, unfinished, but they're currently releasing pages weekly, and it's what got me to read the book in the first place. There's a ton of heart here.

Something tells me that Exodus and Elektra are not gonna get along at all.

Lol, without spoiling anything for the upcoming chapters of MaG, who do you feel is stronger between Exodus and Elektra? They both are super skilled at all the martial arts stuff due to their upbringings as assassins, but Exodus also has her powers that may give her the upper hand.

What about her and Frank’s dynamic? I think her and Frank will be super cool to see. I feel like she’s likely to be less judgmental of Frank compared to how Matt is with him, because she also kills people and she will understand his reasoning for why he does what he does.

Also, will we see more of Exodus’ powers showcased when MaG returns?

I’m gonna stop asking questions now lol, I’m sorry I just love this series.

originally, i planned on them not getting along at all but i couldn’t find a real motive other than them both liking matt. and ik a lot of fics use that kinda jealousy trope so i don’t think they’ll necessarily hate each other. there’s a mutual respect there bc they both know the other one can kick ass but they don’t quite know why or how. so there’s gonna be that lurking suspicion and distrust but they don’t try and undercut each other

i’m a little biased so i’m gonna say Ex is stronger. it’s not addressed (bc she doesnt necessarily know) but she does have the Red Room Serum from the comics. El - as the Black Sky - is on a similar level but like you said, Ex has her powers and has more of the manipulation/espionage tactics that give her an edge.

her and frank are probably gonna be a bit of a tag team, the way she thought her and DD would be. she’s gonna be on his side and im really interested to see how that roof scene plays out between the three of them

exploring her powers. that’s gonna be interesting. she’s gonna start to realize things she can do and recognize that she has this feat or that feat - kinda like how she healed herself in the finale - and it’s gonna become a question of her morality the more she uses her powers bc they’re so manipulative. and her morality was already a teeter totter, especially around DD, so it’s gonna be interesting to see what kinda strain this puts on the relationships around her.

Okay everyone today I want to talk about Dilf!Izuku

This may be controversial but I personally believe that he has the most Dilf potential out of any of the class 1A boys and no I will not be taking criticism at this time

Sorry but even when he’s younger he has Dilf energy - he’s caring, considerate, takes your feelings into account like a dad he just wants to take care of his baby

oh fuck this man no no no

And listen, here me out on this one….. he has more dilf potential than Bakugo and allow me to tell you why

We can all agree that Bakugo has been confident his entire life, so of course he’s going to be confident when he’s older?? duh

But IZUKU is a different story altogether, he’s never felt confident in his life

His whole childhood he was looked down on for being quirkless, and bullied by someone he thought was his friend kachaan

THEN he got a quirk but oh every time he uses it it breaks all his fucking bones and leaves him with all these scars, and he appreciates them because of what they represent but also he’s young when he gets them, he’s already prone to insecurity and when he’s younger ESPECIALLY i think they just remind him of previous failures

He only started to gain a little bit of confidence in his UA days, but it takes time to rebuild yourself after you’ve been torn down for so long, so I honestly imagine he doesn’t even feel an inkling of confidence until his third year or later and even then, it’s new, it’s unfamiliar, he doesn’t totally know how to act

Because yes, by his third year, he’s starting to realize, oh wow okay, I have an incredible quirk and all these new abilities that I can control better, and wow people are paying attention for good reasons , because he’s tall and attractive, probably cuts his hair undercut Izuku supremacy and he’s made some solid friends who help boost his confidence too

But despite all this, deep down he still feels like that quirkless little kid who has to work three times as hard as anyone else and still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves

But OH BOY

DILF IZUKU??? This man is dripping with confidence

he’s older now. he’s overcome a lot. he’s gone to therapy, and worked his way through the pro hero ranks until he earned his number one spot fair and square, that’s something no one can take away from him

He’ll lean down slowly, quietly, stopping when his breath is on your neck and your nose is filled with his scent, and take a quick peek at whatever it is you’re working on. It takes you a moment to turn around, your heart starting to beat faster in your chest due to his looming presence behind you (I DON’T KNOW WHY THIS IS HOT TO ME IT JUST IS OKAY). When you finally turn to face him, his face breaks into a small smile of victory as his strong hand catches your jaw in a gentle grip and he places an achingly soft kiss to your lips before saying “You look so cute when you’re concentrating,”. As you’re about to go in for another, he lets you go and stands up again, his eyes twinkling. “No no, you’re working so hard baby, don’t let me distract you,” WHEN ALL HE WANTED WAS TO DISTRACT YOU and he succeeded and now you’re all hot and bothered, with no hope of resuming what you were doing

I Know You (JJ x Reader)

Description: [Request] Hi! I was wondering if you could do a jj imagine where you’re in an argument and he raises his hand and you flinch bc you think he’s gonna hit you, and it makes him tear up.

I LOVEEE writing for JJ! Hope you all enjoy!

JJ was a force to be messed with, that was just a quick way of how to describe him. He would always stick up for his friends in a time of need no matter the cost on his behalf. So when you were at work bussing tables you knew that JJ and the rest of your friends had headed down to a party at the beach. Of course you wanted to come with but you had to earn some cash for a car so you didn’t have to bike everywhere.

When you finally got off on your break you had multiple text from people claiming your boyfriend was batshit crazy. Confused you kept reading through them when you finally found one about how he had first held Topper at gun point and then shot it off multiple times. Even though you were pissed you went back to work finishing off your shift, now you were on your bike heading to John B’s house knowing that is exactly where JJ would be hiding out now.

When you pull onto the dirt road finally seeing the lights on in the house and the van parked off to the side you knew that he was here. You jump off your bike letting it fall to the ground making your way inside, you don’t even bother knocking at this point. ‘’Hello?’’ You say when you walk in not seeing them in the living room. ‘’JJ?’’ You call out. ‘’John B?’’

You sigh walking through every room of the house and not finding them anywhere opening every door hoping to find your boyfriend. The last place you could check was out back on the small dock, so you make your way out pushing against the screen door and heading out back. When you finally found the four of them huddled around back you saw them all breath a sigh of relief when they notice it was you, more than likely expecting the cops.

‘‘Expecting someone else?’‘ You ask staring straight at JJ. They all shake their head no, ‘’Cops maybe?’’ You ask.

‘‘What did you hear?’‘ Pope asks his head falling against his hands resting them on his knees.

‘‘Just that my boyfriend held someone at gun point tonight,’‘ You say simply and JJ groans turning around on his heels, ‘‘And that he shot the gun off multiple times!’‘ You yell out making sure he heard you.

‘‘It was twice,’‘ He says turning back around.

‘‘Twice?’‘ You say crossing your arm, ‘‘That’s not too bad I guess.’‘ When you look up JJ was looking at you shocked, ‘‘Oh wait, it actually is bad because you aren’t suppose to have a gun in the first place!’‘ You yell at him. ‘’I mean what the hell JJ, a gun? Where did you even get it?’’ You ask him.

You hear a whistle and glance over seeing John B standing up from where he was sitting, ‘’Think we should give the two love birds some time alone,’’ He says patting his knees with his hands. ‘’Let’s go,’’ He mouths to Kie and Pope. They all look at you on the way out but your gaze stays on JJ who was completely avoiding yours.

‘‘Can you just-’‘ You pause holding your hand to your head, ‘‘Can you just explain what you were thinking?’‘ You ask him. ‘‘Where did you even get a gun?’’

‘‘I found it,’‘ He says shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. You glance at him knowing there was more to the story than just that. He groans his head falling back looking up to the sky, ‘’John B and me we found a key to this hotel room and-’’

‘’You broke in?’’ You yell completely taken back.

He scrunches up his face, ‘’I mean we had a key,’’ He says simply. You could already tell this story was going to be too much to handle, ‘’We found the key and we went to tell the guy about his boat-’’

‘’His boat? What about his boat?’’ You ask. He sighs, ‘’Just start from the beginning.’’

‘’We were out on the water today and we found a sunken boat, John B went down and found a key.’’ He begins. ‘’We decided to go to that hotel to check it out and it was empty and we found a bunch of cash and the gun and the cops came and so we had to hide.’’ He tells you, your eyes widening at the mention of the cops. ‘’Hold on-’’ He says holding up his finger to you, ‘’Before you say anything, they took money themselves too, I don’t know anything about why they were there!’’ He says.

You walk over sitting down in the chair next to the fire, ‘’What happened at the beach?’’ You ask him trying to stay calm.

‘’Topper was being a dick to John B and we just offered sara a drink, and Topper started drowning him talking about his dad,’’ He begins to say and you fell a little more sympathetic knowing JJ had only the best intentions to protect his friend. ‘’If I hadn’t I’m not sure what would’ve happened.’’ He says bringing his hands to the front of his body fumbling with his hands.

You stand up walking over to JJ, ‘’You have to go turn the gun in JJ,’’ You sigh.

‘’Why?’’ He asks sounding slightly offended.

‘’Why? Because JJ! If cops were there, it must be a crime scene or something!’’ You explain to him. ‘’If they find out you were there and took a gun-’’ You start off but JJ’s facial expression says something else, ‘’You did only take a gun right?’’ You ask.

‘’Some cash too,’’ He says shyly.

‘‘Dammit JJ!’‘ You groan, ‘‘What is wrong with you? Why would you tamper with something like that?’‘ You ask him. ‘‘You could go to jail- you all could!’‘ You tell him.

‘’You don’t think I know that!’’ He says his voice growing louder. He laughs in disbelief kicking a rock out of the way.

‘‘You held a guy at gun point tonight JJ, a kook to be exact! You don’t think that anythings going to come of that?’‘ You ask him. ‘‘I know Topper is a dick but-’‘

‘‘He was drowning John B!’‘ He yells. ‘‘Drowning him-’‘ He yells waving his arms in the air gesturing to inside the house, ‘‘The things he was saying, the way he was holding him-’‘ He tells you.

‘‘You couldn’t knock him down? Pull him off? You had to hold a gun to his head? There was no other option?’‘ You ask.

He groans again taking a step forward, it happened so quickly you felt yourself flinch thinking his hand was going to hit you when he was waving it around, ‘’He was drowning-’’ He was in the middle of saying but stopped when he saw your face.

‘‘What?’‘ You ask him confused as to why he stopped talking.

You see him bite his bottom lip and he takes his hat off running his hand through his hair before putting it back on, his hands resting behind his neck. ‘’You thought-’’ He pauses and you can hear his voice break slightly, ‘’You think I was going to hit you?’’ He asks.

‘‘I just- Your hand was waving around,’‘ You explain to him standing completely still watching him in slight distress.

‘‘I would never-’‘ He begins to say but loses his words, he raises his hand pointing at you then his hand falls back against his leg, ‘‘I would never hit you,’‘ He says breathlessly.

You stare at him in shock, ‘’I know that,’’ You say softly unsure of how to handle what was happening.

‘‘Never Y/N, I would never,’‘ He repeats.

‘‘JJ I know that-’‘ You begin to say.

‘‘Then why would you flinch?’‘ He asks you shaking his head not meeting your eye, ‘‘I mean just why would you flinch like that?’‘ You could see the tears begin to form in his eyes as he finally made eye contact with you. You walk over to him trying to grab ahold of his hand but he jerks it away.

‘‘JJ,’‘ You say cautiously. He looks away from you his expression hard and cold, you slowly put your hand across his cheek and then the other so you were caressing his face. You pull on it ever so lightly so he was looking at you, his eyes were filled with tears a sorrowful expression on his face, ‘‘Look at me please,’‘ You whisper to him. ‘’I know you would never hit me,’’ You tell him staring straight into his eyes, ‘’I know you JJ, I know you would never.’’

He sniffles slightly and you reach up wiping a tear that had fallen from his eye, ‘’You flinched,’’ He says his voice undercut with broken up bits as if he couldn’t catch his breath from his heavy breathing.

‘‘You were waving your hands around, I didn’t think it would be intentional.’‘ You explain to him. You were still holding his face his hands were at his sides almost as if he was afraid to touch you, like he was scared if he did you would pull away. You take your hands away from his cheeks and grab his hands bringing them together behind your back so he was holding you, then you wrap your arms back around his neck staring back at him. He looked so fragile in this moment, as if he was broken by the fact you thought it was a possibility he would actually hit. you. ‘‘I know you JJ, better than I’ve known anyone in my life.’‘ You explain to him. ‘‘Your stubborn, a little impulsive, a little wild at times,’‘ You start off listing qualities about him, ‘‘But you’re also protective of the things you love, someone who gives everything with their whole heart, and someone I know could never ever hurt me, ever.’‘

He stays silent for a minute just staring at you, his expression wasn’t easily readable and you had no idea what was going on in his head. ‘’Can you stay here tonight?’’ He asks barely above a whisper.

‘‘Of course,’‘ You say finally pulling him in for a hug. You pull on him so he moves forward into the hug and he doesn’t really hug you back for the first few seconds. Finally you feel him sink into the hug pulling you against him tightly as he lets out a deep breath that he had seemed to be holding.

oh crap i forgot i was gonna write down my thoughts about verivery!! lets do that right now. in short it was GREAT (i had a bit of a rough day so i didnt enjoy it like i normally would have but objectively it was amazing!!!)

i was really impressed with the sound quality, with most concerts, especially kpop, and in such a small venue they have shitty ass sound quality (see: vav and imfact) where the music is WAY too loud over the vocals (and way too loud in general...) but that wasnt a problem here which was really nice

speaking of sound, lets go power vocal gyehyeon!! GET THAT SHIT also hoyoung and dongheon both sung and they have such sweet voices why does there ever need to be rap anyway.....

also can you believe they came to MY city!! not chicago!!! i didnt have to drive 6+ hours just to see a group perform

minchan is SO fucking pretty like pardon my language but i dont think i can get across how ethereal he truly is up close. AND he had his hair styled curlyish and tussled which. whew.’ his best look.

i was ALSO impressed with their english! i know hoyoung is fluent but to my surprise most of the members could at least get by in a conversation and had the confidence to talk in english (dongheon in particular was really good, you could easily tell he had been studying)

they did thunder!!!!!!!! aka one of top 10 kpop songs EVER and like i hate to admit to being vulnerable but when they performed it i genuinely cried lmfao bc a few people had told me they wouldnt be performing it (and i didnt check the setlist bc i wanted to be surprised) so the whole time i was like IM NOT GONNA SEE THUNDER (crying) and then when they DID perform it i was like IM SEEING THUNDER (crying, but in a different way)

hmmmm what else. oh! they were super in sync! like expected, they werent as in sync as their dance practices which yknow. totally makes sense when they have to focus on singing and performing not *only* dancing but they were fantastic like i was expecting them to be

they did ring ring ring!!! and i was SO fucking ready to scream the lyrics to that NAL BULLEOJWO MEORISSOGEUN RING RING RING JUNGEUL ULLYEO DDANG BUT ACTUALLY it turned out to be ENGLISH version which youd think would be easier to sing along to except no one knew the lyrics LOL

when they did the q&a.... love that shit. and when vocal line started singing let it go and then they stopped but then the audience kept singing while they just stood there lmfao although i think it was minchan (?) who knew most of the lyrics too

they also did baby shark and well. it was cute i cant help it i love stupid cute crap (crying emoji) but they ALSO wore letterman jackets and for those who know me, i am a HUGE sucker for letterman jackets!!!!!

what else....

well i already mentioned this in the other post but hoyoung and i totally had an eye contact moment during their encore. like i KNOW people are always like oh em gee he waved at me!!! but like... its true this time i swear. i FELT the eye contact and after i waved i changed into a thumbs up to indicate he had done a great job and he immediately changed from waving to doing a thumbs up too and smiled directly at me

i have no video proof or anything but i am going to take it to my grave that i had a moment with hoyoung lmfao

i didnt do the hi touch or meet and greet or anything bc i couldnt afford it but my friends did and they said it was great!! a little weird bc of gloves and plexiglass but they still had their moment lol

ALSO HOLY SHIT YONGSEUNG looks SO FUCKIGN GOOD in both of those outfits. whoever styled his hair with that singular piece in front of his forehead like elvis needs a a freaking RAISE. same with the person who gave hoyoung an undercut.

EDIT: wait i forgot the most important!!!!!!!!!! i got it on video but anyway yongseung looked amazing like i said but then he started to take off his coat and people were like OHHHHH MY GODDD which . same. me too. but then he got embarrassed and was like “its just skin theres no muscle” wtF I LOVE HIM

also i cant believe their luck lol.... literally the day before they came we had those insane storms with tornadoes

i also got the entirety of thunder on my phone so now ill always be watching that. i wasnt as close as other people bc i wanted an even view of the stage and not from one side or the other. and also bc i was feeling very anxious and claustrsaphobic so i just stood in the back away from everyone else lol

Summary: You have an affair with Pieck, while she has an on-off relationship with Porco. You feel so jealous when she came to Colt’s party with him. Even so, you can't let them ruin your mood, and Thank God It's Friday, everything is possible when you are at the party on Friday night 🌚 ✨

Pieck looked at the picture that you sent on iMessage. She closed the app when Porco got behind the wheel. He turned his head and winked at Pieck who sat next to him on the passenger seat. He turned the engine on and he drove to Colt’s place.

“Let’s go, beauty,” said Porco, he opened the door for Pieck as they arrived at Colt’s place. “We're gonna have fun tonight,” he continued.

Pieck didn't reply but gave him a little smile. They both come inside, the house already crowded with people who joined the party. Porco held Pieck’s hand, he brought Pieck to their friends and joined them.

You saw them just come in, and your heart was pounding immediately. You felt jealous in your heart as you saw her in his arms and smiled at him. You rolled your eyes and tried to ignore that shitty couple. You smiled when you heard Connie’s silly stories, but deep inside your head, you can't get rid of Pieck’s face in your mind. You thought she wouldn't come with Porco, but maybe she had been together with him again. You felt sick of their on-off relationship.

You and Pieck were just friends. You have known her since the first year in college, as you both entered the same club in the university, Archery Club. She already had an on-off relationship with Porco at that time, but she knew you like girls, and she wanted to test her sexual orientation. So she often texted and called you whenever she needed someone to talk to until you both found chemistry. Sometimes you wish she would end her relationship with Porco and start dating you, but every time you think you're gonna get her, she‘s back to him instead.

You wish you could hate her, but you like her so much, Pieck is the woman you've always dreamed of. She’s beautiful, warm, and kind, and she has a very beautiful smile. The moments when you spent with her are the magical ones. You are just her secret affair, but you can't ignore her every time she needs you.

You let out a long sigh. Tonight is Colt’s party, you think that you should've had fun. Don't let your negative thoughts affect your mood here. You saw everyone you know has come to this party.

Everybody seems so fabulous, and they look so happy dancing or chit-chatting with their partner. It was so pitiful you just drink alone, even Oluo is dancing with Petra now. And, ugh! You just saw Pieck kissing Porco, you glanced away quickly and searched for something entertaining like watching Sasha’s silly dance with Niccolo. You gulped your beer and chuckled watching them.

“They're a hilarious couple, but they seemed to have each other. I mean, the girl likes to eat, the boy likes to cook. What's better than that? They really match as a couple.”

Someone talked to you. You turned your head, there's a small and tall blonde smiling at you. Your eyes narrowed, trying to see if you recognize the figure standing in front of you.

“They're one of my fave couples in this world,” you replied, ignoring the fact that you don't know her. It's a party, after all, you can talk to anybody if you want, even to strangers.

She smiled, “oh, I'm Nanaba by the way.”

“I’m-” before you can finish your words, she interrupted you.

“I know you, you're Y/N.”

You stared at her in confusion, “how did you-”

“Hange. We're both friends. Before I came here, she knew that I was keeping an eye on you, so she challenged me if I dared to greet you. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.”

“No, don't worry, being alone sucks. I was like a kitten who got lost in this crowd.”

“Not true, you looked so cute when you were alone.”

You smiled when you heard her teased you. “So, how did you know Hange?”

And your conversation continued with her story about how she can be friends with Hange, Levi, and Miche. She’s a fourth-year student, just like Levi, Hange, and Miche, in the Culinary Science program, in a different university as you, but she's a friend of Hange and friends and a senior of Eren and friends in high school.

You think that she's cool, she looks calm, but when she talks, you know that she’s pretty funny and has a good personality. She has an average build for her height, maybe around five feet seven inches. She had blue eyes and short blonde hair, which was parted slightly to the right with short bangs and an undercut. Her appearance was very good. She looks like an androgynous supermodel.

She touched your arm to protect you from the others who went crazy and wild while they were dancing around you. At that moment, you and she looked at each other. She gave you a beautiful smile, you feel better now when she's around you. And it makes you feel that you want to know more about her.

“Do you know her? I think she keeps glancing this way,” said Nanaba while you both laughed after she told you about the silly story of Miche in high school.

“Who?” you asked.

“That girl over there, the one who wore a yellow blouse and was embraced by her boyfriend. Her face looked jealous. Eww, She has a boyfriend, but she keeps glancing at others, I feel sorry for her boyfriend,” she explained.

You know who it is, what she meant was Pieck. Pieck was indeed staring at you, but when you glanced at her, she glanced away immediately. “Just ignore her,” you said.

Nanaba looked nonchalant then she continued her hilarious stories about her and her friends. You both acted like you were old friends. She can make you forget your sadness. You two look like you enjoyed having the time together at the party.

The longer you talked, the closer she got to you until her arms touched yours. You guys were so captivated by this magical moment that you didn't even realize her bodies were closing in. You reached your consciousness when someone grabbed your hand.

It was Pieck who held your hand. “We need to talk, ” she said.

“For what?” you asked.

“Please, I'm begging you,” she pleaded.

“But-”

“It’s okay,” said Nanaba. “Go ahead and talk to her.”

You sighed then followed Pieck from behind. You turned your head back and looked at Nanaba. You moved your lips to give her a sign to wait for you there. She nodded and smiled at you.

Pieck brought you to the powder room. She placed your body on the sink and kissed your lips. “C’mon, ” she said when she stopped. She looked at you, “touch me like the way you used to,” she said before she continued to kiss you.

She always knows how to turn you on. This is how she got you wrapped around her, but you also enjoyed it and she tasted so good. You pulled her body and placed her on the sink. You kissed her back. She looked satisfied and replied to every move you made for her. When you kissed her neck, she writhed and gasped.

You continued to run your hand through Pieck’s hair while kissing her upper body. All the memories about you and her hit your head. When she gave you a beautiful smile on the first night you spent with her.

Your hand on her back now, hiding under her blouse to touch her soft skin. Your memories showed her figure when she always said your name when she let you touch her more deeply.

You know how to make her satisfied. You know her sensitive spot on her body. She once told you that she likes the way you touched her, something that she can’t get in her boyfriend. Of course, you're a girl, she's a girl. Who can understand better about girls? Obviously, girls themselves. Just like Katy Perry says in ‘I Kiss a Girl’, “Us girls, we are so magical. Soft skin, red lips, so kissable. Hard to resist, so touchable, too good to deny it.”

Besides, sometimes guys are too focused on how to make themselves satisfied rather than make their girls satisfied. And even some guys see girls as a tool to satisfy their appetites. That's why Pieck can't let you go.

You stop kissing her, “but I'm not your toy anymore.” Then you pulled her body and left her there alone in the powder room.

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha

God okay I’m in a Friendsim mood have a self insert bullet list lol

The trolls are consistently amazed and baffled at how soft human hair is, just, all of them at least TWICE have just started petting it out of curiosity and just ??????

Tagora and I figure out REAL quick that normal troll hair products are way too rough for my hair since troll hair is waaay tougher and harder to clean, and so begins an ongoing hunt to find some appropriate hair products to keep my hair fluffy. Surprisingly troll skin products work fine on me tho much to our confusion

They all get in the habit of asking me ‘Human Questions’ and sometimes the answer is ‘no that’s just a me thing other humans thought it was odd too lol’ but it’s usually more general stuff, often started with “What the fuck?”

I Am A Living Heater To Trolls, Every Single One Of Them Utilizes It (I love hugs and cuddles, I’m not gonna say NO)

I get along pretty well with most Lusii much to everyone’s relief and fear bc I will use their parent to make them take care of themselves if I feel I have to

Trolls are Big, Humans are Not As Big, this leads to some funny situations

I have a few more survival instincts than the normal MC, but not enough to NOT try and be friendly anyways, just enough to stay true to who I am while also convincing everyone to at least Tolerate Me and not Kill Me Please

Tagora learns super quick that I won’t just not accept money, but actively argue against being given money. This ends up working out for him cause he’d rather just buy me things and make me take it while saying he doesn’t need it anymore, I caught on after the first thing he gave me but decided not to fight it bc I appreciated it and just let him know I was grateful (even if I still don’t want anyone buying me things lol)

Mallek becomes my go-to for reshaving my undercut mostly because he’s really good at it but also because Tagora can’t CUT hair for the life of him, it also gives me another excuse to go to Malleks, of which I have many bc I like crashing at Malleks

I let Tirona in on a few human memes to use both out of good humor and because I let them slip out on accident and she would not stop bugging me about wtf I meant

The trolls I message the most (Chixie, Mallek, Tagora, Tyzias, Marvus, Cirava, Polypa, and occasionally Wanshi to help with her RPs) are endlessly amused by my typing style and typing ‘Quirk’ since I type how I talk, but I also pick up how they type so my typing quirk shifts slightly depending on who I’ve been hanging out with/msging more lately

I’m Very Chill. This means I just kinda accept things so shock value attempts get a bit lost on me, it’s startling to some trolls (read: mostly to Lanque, Folkyl/Kuprum, and Mallek and Tegiri at first) but it’s really good at getting them more comfortable with me quickly bc I don’t overreact at things like Emotional Vulnerability and Social Oddities, it helps that I’m pretty open about myself too although even I have stuff I don’t mention

Zebede thinks I’m Really Cool and Inspiring, I try to get him some friends once I realize he’s going starry-eyed over me and manage to get him connected with a few trolls online to ramble with, I also push him towards writing stories about fictional trolls instead of irl ones and to try out RP, it slowly but surely starts to work and Cirava goes full ‘???????? Excuse me WHAT???’ When I tell them later

I become ‘Big Sib Cat’ to Barzum, Baizli, Wanshi, Karako, Amisia, Tirona and more lowkey Zebede, Daraya, and Diemen (they’re older so they don’t call me it but the vibe is there) because damn if they can’t get homemade semi-parental guidance I guess alien made is gonna have to do, it’s very funny when I gather them all together at once to hang out

Bronyas on fast dial whenever I do that just for ease of mind on both ends
