Tranquil SAGAU - Part 2
-> Part 1
-> Part 3
"How does it feel like, to fly?" You asked idly, cuddling into Dvalin's feathered, soft back.
"I could show you," is what you got for an answer.
And so here you were, flying over Mondstadt (the country) and being utterly speechless at how little justice the game did to the utter beauty of it all.
Hills of grass and farmlands (it made so much sense for Mondstadt to be a country of agriculture, of farming, how had you not thought of it before?) rolled lazily wherever the eye could see, stretching well over the horizon.
Forests swayed with the wind as Dvalin flied by, lush crowns blending into one another and protecting the animals underneath.
Lakes and rivers cut through the monotony of greens and browns with a brilliant blue, sparkling in the sun like Edward Cullen.
The mountains of Liyue, so small you had the impulse to grab them into your hands despite how far away they were, were like an extension of Mondstadt -- a slow and steady rise from a mere molehill to a towering behemoth overlooking the vast world.
Dragonspine, instead of playing into the beauty of Mondstadt, seemed to go directly against it. Using it to enhance its' own presence, to have your eye stray and appreciate the cold, ethereal mountain of snow and ice instead. It looked deceptively peaceful from so far away - the nearly permament snow storm looking like a translucent garb shrugged elegantly onto white robes of an indifferent jade beauty, whose mere gaze could freeze you to death.
And Mondstadt (the city) looked like a mere speck of dust in the grand scheme of it all.
"How pretty," you couldn't help but say, head swaying to and fro as you enjoy the view and the gentle winds from where you sat, sprawled out like a starfish on the dragon's back.
You kind of saw a pattern there, but you certaintly weren't complaining.
Dvalin huffs a laugh.
"It is only natural, Teyvat was made by the All-Mother. Anything made by their hand is bound to be beautiful."
You laugh, loud and unrestrained and uncaring, because there was no one to scold you for being yourself anymore, "Indirectly complimenting yourself, are you?"
And Dvalin laughs too, a deep rumble of a laugh that has him dipping in altitude for a moment before he rights himself.
It was nice.
"I'm hungry."
"Then we shall land."
. . • ☆ . ° . • ° : . * ₊ ° . ☆
While you ate some fruits that a few adorable squirrels offered to you almost as soon as you landed (which made you melt into a puddle of happiness again, because they were so cute it hurt and they let you pet them a few times before they left), Dvalin made himself comfortable and started speaking. He wove stories like a master seamstress --of Teyvat, of Mondstadt, of Barbatos and of his own past--, giving birth to such vivid imaginery that you almost felt like you were there with him while it all happened.
He was a great storyteller.
The years of friendship between him and Venti probably contributed to it, there is only so long you can go without picking up a few things from an insistent friend after all.
"Durin was a pitiful creature. An artificial existence made by an arrogant Alchemist of Khaenri'ah in a futile attempt to recreate the All-Mother's miracle of creation, wishing for freedom and friendship but unable to attain them."
Dvalin huffs.
"I had to strike him down, for the safety of Mondstadt. And even on his death bed, not once had he blamed me nor Barbatos, merely wishing we had met in better circumstances."
The mood turns somber.
"His heart still beats in Dragonspine," you say after a while.
Dvalin exhales a long and drawn out breath.
"You will be able to put him to rest, once you grow stronger. It is merely a matter of time."
Quiet protests of you not being the All-Mother, of you simple being (Name) and nothing else, are quickly shoved to the back of your mind and ignored.
Instead, you ask why he believed so.
"You have purged me of the Abyssal filth that had tortured me for centuries with your mere presence, despite having descended only recently. That is enough confirmation."
You blink in suprise.
Didn't that mean you were much earlier in the timeline that you thought?
Huh.
Something to think through while you monch on the fruits.
Then again, did it really matter how early into the timeline you transmigrated? You weren't an ambitious person and you didn't crave adventure and excitement. People like you manned the market stalls rather than making a difference.
...you probably jinxed yourself.
☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ* ✨ Author Note✨
Countdown to All-Mother dearest jinxing themselves and making a difference - however long it takes me to write the next chapter!
Now, ✨how do I taglist people cuties✨

Interfering with Halsin's Portal
It's pretty well known that there are a few situations you can get in where Halsin is well and truly angry rather than disappointed or worried, but I don't think a lot of folks know one of those situations is if you mess with his portal to the Shadowfell. It's a heartwrenching bit of acting. It's also fundamental to the plot of my in-progress fic Girdled Roots, so I figured I might share it with the other Halsin-lovers out there who have never seen it.
EDIT: Please be aware this is datamined dialog and may not be visible in game. It appears to be intended to trigger if the player attempts to enter the portal, which I don't believe is possible in the final game, or at least I couldn't find a way in the most recent version. Sharing this is simply to enjoy the incredible acting and get some plot bunnies moving, not to make any commentary about the game's canon.
Halsin's Initial Reaction
Halsin: No! Stop! Halsin: It's gone... that was our one chance. You've doomed this place to darkness! Halsin: I warned you - told you this was my burden to carry. Why didn't you listen?
The pure rage and despair is visceral. Prior to this, Halsin mentions this portal has been a century in the making, but he's so calm and measured (even upon success) that it is easy to dismiss just how much agony has plagued him as he hoped to make things right. This chance is everything to him. It has guided his every action for a century. It is a hundred years of work, prayer, and guilt to rectify the horrific fate of both land and people that came to nothing because a stranger he trusted refused to listen to him.
The portal breaking is the only time we hear Halsin speak the truth of its importance to him without a hint of emotional regulation. He is wild with pain. This man who is always thoughtful and slow to anger in the face of horror with the wisdom of age and suffering to guide him has become too overwhelmed to show any kindness.
Player response
The player is given several different ways to respond, and Halsin's reaction varies a surprising amount depending on how understandable their reason is. In most cases, he states that he needs to be alone afterward.
Option 1: I'm sorry - I acted on instinct. Halsin: Words won't repair what's been done to this land. Nothing will... I need to be alone.
You can hear the ache in Halsin's voice, but he's somewhat understanding of this response. He projects more sadness than unchecked rage. The player has admitted to making a mistake, and Halsin isn't the type of person who hold onto vengeance when an apology has been made, but he's not naive or people-pleasing enough to say "it's okay" or offer comfort either. The safest thing for everyone is for him to step away to grieve when there is nothing more to be done.
Option 2: I did all the work here - I couldn't just let you take the glory. Halsin: Glory?! There's no glory here. Now there's nothing here - only shadows and the total absence of hope. Halsin:  There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Pure fury radiates from Halsin's response if the player focuses on the idea of being some grand hero rather than actually caring for the outcome. What the player did was an unforgiveable act, dooming everything that Halsin holds dear, and you have the audacity to complain about not getting glory from it. Again, he steps away, but this feels more like he's doing it because he believes you're worthless to reason with rather than because he needs a moment.
Option 3: I saved your grove - I figured it'd be best if I handled this as well. Halsin: We were this close to healing these lands. Now your arrogance has torn open the wounds once more. Halsin:  There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Halsin is still frustrated with this response and unmistakably angry, but it's significantly toned down from the idea of wanting to go through the portal for glory. More like he thinks you're a self-important idiot than a truly terrible person.
Specialized player responses
There are also three special responses you can give if you have a particular class or diety.
Druid: I thought my powers were equal to yours. Halsin: It wasn't just power this needed - it was wisdom, understanding. I suffered along with this place for years trying to understand the curse... and it seems I will continue to do so. Halsin:  There is nothing more to be said... I need to be alone.
Interestingly, he responds much more intensely to a druid than some of the other player choices. It might be in part because he feels like a druid should know better. He lectures the player like an Archdruid would initiates in his Grove, alternating between angry and explanatory, trying to get the player to understand why they were wrong and the sheer magnitude of their error. He ultimately ends in a much more resigned place here rather than personally resentful. Like a father-figure being forced through further life trials because of a child's foolish indiscretion. Frustrating, but inevitable.
Selunite: I trusted in Selûne to guide me through the shadows. Halsin: My friend - I wish you had trusted in me.
This is probably Halsin's most simple response with the least vitriol. He fully understands this answer, even if he's disappointed by it. The fact he calls the player 'friend' suggests a certain tired acceptance of this being a natural behavior for a Selunite trying to do good. We don't see this calm in other responses where Halsin was surprised by the player's choice.
Sharran: The Shadowfell is no place for non-believers - I couldn't allow you to soil it. Halsin: I should never have trusted an ally of the Dark Lady.
If you've ever taken Halsin along with Shadowheart in Act 2, then you know he is absolutely scathing toward her and her faith. He likely isn't as angry if a Sharran breaks the portal because it is utterly predictable. It merely confirms a truth he already knew and talked himself out of. That Sharrans cannot be fully trusted in matters of their goddess, even if one was good enough to rescue his people from the goblins.

A = Aftercare (how they’re like after sex)
literally the best at aftercare. argue w the wall. peppers your face with kisses and is so so gentle. pulls out slowly and immediately goes to get you a warm rag or run you a bath and cuddles you
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner's)
he loves his arms, he loves the way he can lift you and hold you against the wall or how they carry you to the bathtub and back to bed
he LOVES your boobs. biggest boob guy ever. loves laying on them and pushing his dick in between them and leaving hickeys on them.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
started out using condoms but he was not a fan at all. he used them to be safe and you never complained so he figured it was what you preferred. but you both were too in the moment to remember once and you stopped using them since (dw ur on bc)
D = Dirty secret (pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
before you got together he accidentally spied on you in the shower and gor SO HORNY that he had to leave the house so you didnt catch him masturbating 😭
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they're doing?)
had one body before you but it was the awkward first time so he wasnt sure what to do, but luckily you were experienced and guided him through it
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
cowgirl. loves when you ride him, and loves watching your boobs bounce in his face
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
hes accidentally funny during intimate sex. theres times when stuff isnt as seriously intimate and he can make a joke or two, but hes more serious

trimmed, not buzzcut shaved but not a bush, perfect hair length.
has no preference to how long your hair is, as long as youre happy with it !!
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
loves being romantic, rose petals on the bed, candles, the whole nine yards. wants you to feel loved and appreciated
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
only does it when you cant be with him, like on tour and in boston, uses your instagram pics OR asks you to send him nudes
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
choking, loves to choke you, and loves you be choked (we all saw him in larrays vid.)
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
the van, his bed, the shower, anywhere private
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
weirdly, matt loves when you cook. it makes him think of the future, how youd be with kids, how youd look pregnant, which just makes his breeding kink act up
N = No (something they wouldn't do, turn-offs)
roleplay, thinks its really weird and he just cant find it hot
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
yes hes matt the munch but i think he just LOVES the sight of you with his dick shoved down your throat. hes so good at eating you out, and he could sit there for hours, but he could also watch you choke on his dick for hours
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
can do both, depends on his mood and the situation. he can go fast and rough if you ask or if hes frustrated, but if its a gentle day or in the morning, soft and slow is his go to
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
LOVES QUICKIES IN THE VAN. will literally send nick and chris in a store by themselves so you can ride him in the drivers seat. in any other place, hes 50/50
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
kind of, doesnt like the idea of being caught but DOES love doing it in mildly obvious places. wouldnt do it in a dressing room or store bathroom, but would in the bathroom of his friends house or in the van in a parking lot.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
three max, usually lasts long but sometimes he doesnt so it depends on how long he can last
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
none for himself but you own a vibrator. he uses it on you if hes feeling mean or if you convince him (it doesnt take much) he lets you use it on him
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
can be unfair, and he loves to be unfair sometimes, but he also loves when youre unfair to him
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
mostly low grunts or whines in your ear, but if your riding him hes not very good at being quiet. (which is why you can only do so when the house is empty)
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
hates sex scenes in media 😭
X = X-ray (let's see what's going on under those clothes)
not that girthy but hes LONGGGGGGG. he hits all the right places 😇
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
7/10, he can go a while without sex but he can get going easy
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterward)
he can stay awake long enough to clean you both up and get your both redressed and put something on the tv, but then hes out

gomens s2 thoughts, all spoilers!
I spent 10 hours talking to my housemate about the season after we binged the whole thing in the morning but here are the highlights and the biggest takeaways from the season.
okay i did love the ending, i love that we get the conformation of love AND going into the divorce arc next season (if they're not properly together by the end of season 3 however, i am rioting) they're slow burn and a whole season of them getting to the final 10mins was tasty.
HOWEVER. it was an extremely clunky season when it comes to writing, lots of either set ups missed OR set ups repeated 4 times that they're drilled into out heads. there was also lots of dialogue that really needed to be tightened up. the lesbians were so poorly written i thought they might have needed to be cut BUT they just needed to have more bearing on the rest of the plot AND say things like real people would say things and LITERALLY SHOW ONE SINGLE REASON WHY THEY WOULD LIKE EACH OTHER WITHIN THE FIRST EPISODE.
gabe/bulz romance was the one that should have been cut, have them do more of a oh-my-god-my-boss-sucks kind of thing, lean into them complaining about having to avert a civil war after armageddon stopped and touch on the "structural problems" the angels mention later. Have gabe/bulz be super punished for working together which puts huge fear into az and crowley about what happens if you try to team up as an angel/demon pair (but an extra reason why az takes the job at the end so he and crowley can be the same)
imo it works more if the only mirror of their romance is the HUMANS which should lean into themes to season 3 of how they need to team up with humans (re:"us vs them" line at the end of season 1) to actually achieve their happy ending.
Nina and maggies best scene was their last one telling crowley he needed to talk to az but i think that was one that needed to be cut, it would have been far more satisfying to have crowely work out it out himself that he loves az and wants to tell him (still via maggie and nina but more subtle rather than them telling him to his face AND via spending more time with az in the season)
flashbacks were all pretty good, loved the jobe one and that final "lonely" scene. the nazi one needed some trimming the most (why did all three come back to earth, it made scenes too crowed, have them fight to be a zombie)
shax was disappointing, she was kind of just incompetent the whole way through which didnt make the stakes very exciting, (that whole scene of her talking to the legion was unfunny and pointless) i wanted crowley to mentor her more like when he gave her advice in the first few meetings we saw (kind of in a very non-demonic way, not expecting anything in return) and her to then meet him on equal footing in the finale. would have been a little accidental taste for Crowley to have his good deeds come back to haunt him while showing he's different to demons.
speaking of the finale fight, that halo had NO set up, it was sick as hell but ??? the fuck did that come from. the fight should have been won by az and crowley performing another HUGE miracle together, discorporating the demons (which then would alert heaven and hell something was up in the bookshop and the final scene can happen)
az taking the job from metatron was very good, its consistent with his character where he still hasn't let go of his faith in good/god, he's only been upset by the angels running heaven and still has faith in the system while crowley has realised none of it works and it's only them together that matters. it was nice to show he still hasn't truly accepted crowley for who he is now (tho imo he knows he loves him, he just hasn't quite unrepressed himself) and him not turning down the job after crowley confesses to him shows he still thinks he can fix it. Crowley on the other hand thinks he's now lost him, az has broken he the trust he had in him, he's going to be in big depression mode
few thoughts of good directions for S3:
finally delivering on what crowley said at the end of S1 I think is the most satisfying. the final showdown should be humans Vs heaven/hell with Crowley and az on the human side, helping them win the conflict. there would be suggestions that this is actually god's ineffable plan, this is a conflict she wants to happen and the things that Crowley and az went through are what make them perfect ambassadors to help the humans.
the set up for az in S3 to finally work out he and Crowley can't work out within the unfair rules of the system and for him to abandon heaven (tho not I think, becoming a demon) is good. a sucky ending imo for season 3 is if az somehow "fixes" heaven and via bureaucracy and not via blowing it all up.
growth moments for Crowley in S3 might be having more contact with humans since he's already abandoned hell and it would put az & crowley on similar footing (as az very much loves humans already) when they decided to side with humans for a humans Vs heaven/hell conflict.
anyway, gay people

ask game — prompt from this request
“you kiss your mother with that mouth?”
Tumblr media
there’s an extra thump in gojo’s heartbeat.
his hands are sweaty even though he’s swiped his palms along his jeans a million times. he feels light headed, perhaps due to the sun peeking through the train window, and his thoughts are playing bumper cars inside his skull.
his mouth is dry, his body is begging him to relax his stiff posture, and he’s nervous. too much blood is rushing to his brain and not enough air is entering his lungs. he thinks he might need some water, but he's worried that if he tries drinking it'll just dribble down his chin.
you sleep peacefully through his panic.
the gentle rumble of wheels along rails lulls you into a shallow sleep, not the kind that has you wishing for a deeper slumber, but just enough rest for your heart to slow and your breathing to deepen.
your pillow is soft. it’s sturdy against your cheek and smells really, really nice, like fresh laundry hung out under the summer sun. it’s also warm, which is an obvious bonus. you snuggle into the heat, exhaling softly when you’re comfortable.
a sudden incline of the train track makes the carriage jolt, and your eyes widen at the shift in gravity.
“what’s happening?” your words slur together as you lift your head from your pillow to survey your surroundings.
you find gojo sitting beside you, oddly rigid and close by.
“why is your shoulder next to my head?”
gojo clears his throat, his eyes darting to you then away. “no reason.”
accepting his answer, you yawn and stretch your arms above your head. your hands collide with the compartment above and you’re once again reminded of where you were.
“when’s the train arriving?” you ask.
gojo flips his phone around to check the time. “you were asleep for forty minutes, so we still have an hour to go.”
“an hour? that long?”
“that’s why i said you should have let me warp us there instead.”
“i’d rather die.” you immediately decline. “last time i let you teleport us to the mission site, we ended up in california.”
“california is a great place!”
“our mission was in finland.”
gojo huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. the gesture blocks you off and you know he is sulking.
it's clear your words have wedged its way deep into gojo's heart, leaving a wound that'll only grow and become infected if you don't soothe him with flattery. “maybe next time, okay? sometime after you’ve mastered your technique which, i'm sure won't take long since you've always been so competent.”
he remains quiet, but you can almost see his ears perk towards you.
"the most competent out of the lot of us!"
he shifts closer, though his arms are still crossed at his front.
"throughout heaven and earth, you alone are the competent one?"
he finally turns over to you, loosening his posture. there's still doubt in his eyes but it is as expected; dealing with a sulky gojo was never going to be easy. “if you don’t trust me, you can just say that.” he pouts.
“okay, i don’t trust you.”
he tilts his body further away from you.
you're quick to reach over and hook your hand under his arm, pulling it towards you in hopes that he'll face you once again. you made a mistake, a slight slip of the tongue and now your progress had been reset. "my bad! but seriously, aren't you tired of playing the victim all the time?"
"excuse me?"
"i mean." you bite your lip, sealing away any more harsh remarks that might leave your mouth unintentionally. "you... are crazy cool! you're the best, gojo. i deeply apologise for my words earlier."
his mouth hangs open. "i think the one who's crazy is you. how do you always find something to complain about?"
"you're telling that to me? as if you weren't treating this entire train ride like your own personal therapy session. i did not need to know how much you struggled on the toilet this morning."
"it's a sign of being unhealthy! that's a very big concern!"
"one that you can bring up with shoko, not me." you easily deflect. "i could not care less about your health even if i tried."
"you are so mean."
you shrug. "i think you're just being a pissy boy."
"you kiss your mother with that mouth?" he asks. "and she lets you? even though her child is a mean, spiteful, terrible person?"
he doesn't appreciate how his eyes flicker down to your lips at the mention, suddenly growing conscious of how he had begun to lean in during the heated conversation. you look none the different, face carved into your usual expression of disinterest.
it irks him.
wasn't it unfair how unfazed you seemed whilst he was running a marathon in his head? wasn't it simply annoying how much you looked like you were falling asleep again, even though his thoughts were held captive by the sight of you?
"where did you think my attitude comes from in the first place?" there's a lazy grin on your face that only makes gojo heat up even more—because it made him mad, not because it looked good on you, he tells himself.
"if you kissed me i wouldn't like it." he says, then immediately slaps a hand over his mouth.
you give him the strangest look you can muster. "sorry?"
"i mean, because, i'm saying i wouldn't like it because you are such a mean person. that's all i'm saying, there's nothing else i'm trying to tell you. you're a horrible person. that's what i meant." gojo splutters. "not because i want you to kiss me. that would be such a strange thing to say. which is why i wasn't saying that."
there's a silence that fills the carriage, broken only from the hum of the train. gojo thinks he can hear his brain explode in the absence of sound before you finally burst out into laughter.
"oh my god, gojo! i never thought you would be the type of person that gets flustered over something like talking about kissing." you say around your giggles, smothering them with your palm as you watch gojo grow red. "especially since you brought it up."
gojo hisses, turning away to rest his chin on his hand, elbow on the aisle armrest. he pointedly ignores your attempts to get him to face you. "me neither." he mumbles into his hand.
"it's kind of cute."
"shut up."
"you're getting redder!"
"ignore it."
you only quiet down when a few minutes passes, making snide remarks at his oddly still state before sighing in satisfaction. you check the time on your phone and note that there was still a long way to go before you arrived. placing it on silent, you tap gojo on the shoulder. "wake me up before the train gets to our stop, okay?"
he makes a noise that you take as agreement, considering that he won't bear to look at you, before adjusting yourself and closing your eyes.
the train ride is silent save for your silent snores and the internal monologue of gojo's breakdown. his body grows stiff when he feels a pressure on his shoulder.
looking over, he finds you using him as a pillow again.
the embarrassment of his earlier words and his slight realisation that you made him feel weird, made him feel warm and nervous all over, makes this action deadly. with his heart racing, he sighs and shifts around so that you were more comfortable. the gesture is appreciated, and you sigh softly in your sleep.
the sight of you is pure torture and gojo finds himself unable to chase sleep as easily as you do. he stays awake until the train halts at the station, ignoring your question on why he looked so tired.

Killer x gn!reader (afab) a/n: hopefully it's okay considering i wrote this slammered at the bar lmfao. also mo leannan and mo chridhe mean my love and my heart in old scots gaelic
“Killi, would you look at that view?” you said with a small gasp as you ran over to the window of the shared room the two of you were renting. Your crew was currently on some kind of resort island while the ship received repairs. They were deep repairs too, so everyone needed to be off the ship. Everyone spread out in the multiple resorts that the island had, wanting to try everything.
However, the only downside was that it was a wintery island, so you couldn’t exactly go outside and enjoy the sun too much without becoming absolutely frigid.
You felt a pair of strong arms wrap around your middle. “Mm, the view is nice, but I still think the view of you is better.” You snorted as Killer spoke, rolling your eyes. “You’re such a sap,” you mused, leaning into his touches.
“If it keeps snowing like this, we might end up getting stuck here. I think the only other two in this particular resort are Hip and Gig.”
You let out a gentle sigh as you felt his lips find their way to your neck, you tilted your head to the side to give him better access to your skin. “That’s fine,” he mumbled against you. “I didn’t plan on meeting up with anyone tonight anyway.”
“Is that so,” you mused, pressing against him. You could already feel the man starting to get riled up. After all, he’d already taken his helmet off the moment the two of you entered the room. He had been wanting to jump you since the moment you two were alone. You weren’t going to complain, you wanted the same thing.
“Mhmm,” he hummed against your skin, pressing a kiss to the spot where your shoulder and neck met before biting it softly. You gasped softly, chuckling. “I’m not going to argue with that.” You turned your head, kissing him hard.
He let out a small growl against you. You turned, sliding your arms around his neck and he pressed you against the cool glass of the large window. You let out a small whimper when you touched it; between that and the heat radiating off the man before you, it felt really good.
You pulled away from him for a moment, both of you panting heavily. You could see that the heat of both of your bodies was already fogging the glass on the window. You wondered just how foggy it was going to get.
You dropped to your knees, surprising Killer slightly with your sudden movement and change of pace. Considering the fact that he had treated you with extra care the last time, you figured you’d return the favor this time. It didn’t take you long to pull the man out from his cloth prison and, you were right, he was rock hard already.
“Already this riled up?” You had a light tease to your voice and licked your lips slightly.
His face was already flushed and he was panting just from the sheer anticipation and excitement of seeing you down on your knees. “You just do things to me,” he mumbled.
You just grinned before pressing a kiss to his tip, mostly just to mess with him. You knew taking it slow drove him even more wild, which would pay off in the end for you. He grunted softly as you pressed another kiss to the base of his shaft before dragging your tongue along the side of it, listening as he let out a shaky breath. He put a hand on the glass window behind you to support himself as the other hand found its way into your hair, giving a light tug that made you groan a bit in response.
You couldn’t help but tease him, it was your favorite thing to do. Mostly because it made it harder for him to hold back, which is exactly what you wanted. You wanted him to go wild on you. So, you took his cock, slowly sliding it down your throat as you pressed your tongue against its underside. He let out a long groan. “Oh, you’re being slow on purpose,” he ground out, knowing exactly what you were doing. But, he fell for it every time.
Or maybe he couldn’t just say no to you. He looked down at you as you looked up to him and winked. He gripped your hair firmly and you felt your heart race as you pulled off of him. You were panting slightly as you looked up at him.
“Ah, ah,” he mused in his gravelly voice. It always grew deeper when he was riled up, making you so excited. “What do you think you’re doin’?” You could hear as his accent was slipping through, making your heart race.
“Open.” You obeyed, opening your mouth, sticking your tongue out for him. He grinned. “Good, mo leannan.” A shiver ran down your spine as he used the native tongue you both had. It wasn’t long before he had his cock deep inside your throat once more, both of you groaning as he did so. Your entire body felt like it was on fire with how turned on you were in this moment.
“Now, move.” Once again, you obeyed, beginning to move your head. He grunted, his grip tightening and pulling on your hair more, making you whimper around him. You moved your hands to his thighs to steady yourself as you found a good pace to bob your head.
Though, you wished it would-
Your thoughts were interrupted as he did the very thing you were thinking about. He began moving his own hips, thrusting in and out of your mouth. Your eyes rolled back as you let him essentially have his way with you, tears pricking the corners of your eyes. Despite his rough movements, he was calculated enough not to actually cause you harm. Not that you’d be upset with a bit of aching from an activity like this.
Eventually, you could feel him twitching and his movements growing more erratic before his hips stilled as he shoved himself deep down your throat and came hard. Your eyes widened slightly as he reached so deep, but you welcomed it. When he pulled out, you made sure to swallow every bit, panting as you tried to recover for a moment.
He was panting as well, pulling you up so he could kiss you again. You hummed against him, wrapping your arms around him. “I always love it when you do that,” you mumble and he just grinned. He knew you liked it when he was rough, it was just pushing him to that point because he didn’t want to hurt you. Sometimes he forgot just how much you could really handle.
He pressed you against the glass once more and your entire body shivered and you whined. The shock of the cold only turned you on further and you could hardly stand it at this point. “Fuck, Killi. I need you,” you whined against him.
In one of the quickest fashions you’ve ever seen, he had your lower half completely clothing free. You yelped in surprise as the cooler air hit you, but more surprised when Killer turned you around and bent you over slightly. You pressed your warm face against the cold glass, eyes rolling back slightly as you whimpered.
At this point, you were sure he was doing this on purpose.
You shivered again as you felt his fingers trace along your folds, circling your clit. You let out a breathy moan, eyes rolling back slightly. “Killi,” you whined. You weren’t surprised that he was going to be the one teasing you now. You gasped, moaning loudly as he slipped one of his thick fingers inside, moving it around to start stretching you out.
It seemed he was just as impatient as you were because it wasn’t long before he had three fingers moving around inside of you, all kinds of noises of pleasure coming from you. However, between how turned on you were from earlier and the way he was handling you now, you could feel yourself being pushed towards the edge and that coil tightening from deep within your abdomen.
Only he pulled his fingers out before you could cum, making you whine in protest. “That was un-” You were cut off as you felt Killer begin to push himself inside of you, your words turning into nothing more than garbled moans. You leaned into the glass more, your eyes glued to the back of your head. Fuck, he always felt so good. Your toes curled a bit as your insides stretched for him and once he bottomed out, you were panting heavily, trying to keep your head from spinning too much yet.
“You’re doing well, mo chridhe,” he crooned in your ear in a low voice. All you could do was muster up some small moan in response, your brain already clouded with lust and the need to have him absolutely rail you against this window. His praises only riled you up more.
You opened your mouth to finally say something when he started to roll his hips, slowly pulling out of you before absolutely ramming himself back into you. You cried out, your entire body tingling as you felt that coil tighten and snap all at once, clenching around him as you came. You were panting heavily, your head spinning. “Better,” he teased lowly, playing off your statement from earlier that he had cut you off for. You just glanced at him over your shoulder, narrowing your eyes the best you could, but it only made him grin.
He enjoyed seeing you like this. The usual dominant doctor of the crew, a submissive and blubbering mess below him. And just for him. He leaned down, the movement somehow pushing himself deeper inside of you, forcing a mewl to come from you. He pressed a kiss to your shoulder before he absolutely began to destroy you. His hips moved fast and rough, the squelching noise of him rapidly moving in and out accompanying the sounds of skin against skin bouncing off the walls around you.
Not to mention you were far from quiet. The moans and cries for the other slowly became less and less coherent with each thrust. His grunts and growls sending shivers down your spine as he also left hickies all over your neck and shoulders. You definitely weren't going to be able to cover those without being suspicious.
At this point the window was fogged apart from where you were touching it, but as soon as you moved slightly, whatever glass was newly exposed was instantly fogged up. Much like your mind right now. It also wasn't very cold anymore, you had completely warmed it up. You were also glad there was a blizzard, no one could see you getting your insides rearranged from down below.
Between Killer holding on to your hips and being pressed into the glass, you were glad for the support because you weren't sure that you'd be able to stand on your own.
You felt him begin to twitch inside of you before his hips stopped and he filled you up quite generously, you weren't long after, crying out as you did so. Both of you were panting but you noticed that Killer didn't seem done quite yet.
Oh man, you were going to sleep good tonight.
You felt his arm snake around and his hand gently wrap around your throat. Ah, fuck. Your heart started racing even faster, if that was even possible. He lifted you up, standing with you as he pounded in and out of you. The window where you had been pressed against already fogging back up.
Your eyes rolled to the back of your skull, mind blank with the pure pleasure you were feeling. With his hand placement and the sheer force of his thrusts, he squeezed the sides of your neck to cut off your oxygen just a bit to give you that perfect high. You were a blubbering, drooling mess at this point. Your legs numb, body buzzing with pleasure as he had his way with you - and you wouldn't have it any other way.
You reached up behind you, grabbing at his hair and tugging it. Honestly, you were just moving without much thought. Killer let out a low groan as he bit into your shoulder roughly causing you to cry out his name. The first coherent thing you've said in the past half an hour.
He didn't last long this round, stilling his movements once more as he filled you up once again. You also came again, your head spinning rapidly as your body went slack against him. You were panting, trying to catch your breath. You felt Killer doing the same. He held on you you around your waist, his other hand on the window before you as he tried to keep both of you steady.
You mumbled something completely incoherent and you just felt him smile against your skin as he pressed soft kisses to the newest bite mark. That one wasn't going to be disappearing for a while.
After a few moments, Killer turned your face towards him and kissed you softly. “Mm, I think this view is my favorite,” he mumbled against you. You scoffed, rolling your eyes as you grinned.
“You're so cheesy.” You kissed him again, slowly gaining your strength back.
Honestly, if you were snowed in for a few days, you wouldn't exactly be upset about it.

Hello! I have a continuing idea for the Mutefemreader and ghost! They were put on a first mission together in winter and it kind of goes sideways… they find an old cottage and decide to settle there until the weather blows over. And that’s when ghost kind of opens up and talks to her? And he finds out she isn’t so different from him when it comes to a bad past.
Thank you kindly! Love you’re work! 🎊
Thank you sm! ❤️ Oh this is nice angsty and fluffy.
Of the Same Coin
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ghost x mute!fem!reader
Readers callsign is "Quiet" (definitely not a nod towards MGSV) I think the name is cool.
Warnings: Angst, some fluff?, mentions of past trauma
Words: 4.3k (This got out of hand but when do I ever make things simple)
Synopsis: Two hurt people finding solace with each other...
The stark red mixed with the white snow beneath you had you feeling ashamed and guilty. It bubbled in your stomach, hidden beneath the mask that covered the lower half of your face from the blistering wind that whipped against you and sunk its teeth into your bones despite the many thick layers you were wearing. Snow hit you face from all directions as you trudged through the snow, stepping in the footsteps created by Ghost in front of you.
He stood out against the pure white snow as he led the way to what you assumed was shelter. He seemed to know where he was going without having to look at a map, his walk full of confidence that screamed lieutenant for more reasons than one.
Red stained the outside layer of his uniform on his shoulder. It spread downwards despite the freezing temperatures and occasionally blood would drip onto the snow, likely to be covered up from the intense snowfall that would soon turn to a blizzard you both walked through. If the bullet wound bothered him, then he didn’t show it as he continued forward without saying a word.
Your first mission with him and you screwed it up.
Recon for intel about Makarov on Russian convoys in Siberia. It was a simple task, one that made you feel almost like they were taking it easy on you when you had already been on multiple missions with Price and the others. You had proved yourself to be a viable asset to the task force with your captain vouching for you anytime someone dared to say otherwise and you had only been with the team for a year. Yet this mission with Ghost, the first one you had with him by yourself, had been given to you as if you were a rookie who needed to learn discipline.
You didn’t complain and didn’t show your slight disappointment about it to anyone, not even Ghost because despite the fact that the mission was lackluster, you were excited to be on the field alone with your lieutenant.
“Ready for the cold, sargeant?” Ghost had signed to you from across the table in the briefing room.
“Absolutely.” You signed back with a smile, confident about the mission even though it sounded underwhelming.
All of that confidence had been sucked out of you, leaving you a lot less like a soldier and more like a lost child who had fallen on their ass. You were freezing from the wind, wet from the snow that hit you, and utterly defeated.
“Quiet!” Ghost barked over the wind and brought you out of your thoughts.
You stood up straighter and looked up at him, noticing that he was a few more paces in front of you. You must’ve slowed down significantly while you were stuck in your thoughts, causing you to fall slightly behind which only made you feel more embarrassed than you already were. If it weren’t for the fact that the heat had been ripped from you, you would’ve felt your entire body get hot from the stare he was giving.
At least you wouldn’t be shivering.
“Stay close!” He beckoned you forward with his head.
You nodded and raced up to him, holding your arms close to your stomach as you followed behind him. You kicked some snow out the way and watched him give you a quick once over with unreadable eyes before he turned around and continued walking forward.
Usually his silence didn’t bother you. You weren’t exactly in the position to demand someone to speak when you couldn’t even do that yourself, but it almost felt like he was snubbing you for what happened. You couldn’t really blame him for it, it was your fault he had a bullet stuck in his arm, so his anger towards you was justified. However, that didn’t make it hurt any less than it did as he didn’t spare any words with you.
Part of you hoped that it was because it would be difficult for him to speak over the wind, but it was impossible to know unless you asked him. You unfortunately, weren’t as good as reading people like he was and right now you wished he could teach you that skill.
A sharp gust of wind smacked against your face, pushing snowflakes against your watery eyes and stopping both of you in your tracks. You clenched your jaw tightly to stop your chattering teeth as you watched the surrounding area quickly turn into a complete white out in the matter of seconds.
It made your heart beat faster and you gripped your arms tightly, your fingers digging into your wet overcoat. You could feel an unbearable sting begin to form on the tips of your fingers and you wondered if maybe this was going to be your last moments.
You could hardly see Ghost in front of you and he was only a few feet from you. You heard him call out for you but it was nearly impossible for you to hear him, so instead you attempted to close the distance between you both.
Ghost outstretched his hand for you to take and didn’t hesitate to hold onto yours with a bone crushing grip that made you wince. He pulled you forward at a pace quicker than what your legs would allow you in the near knee high snow, but you pushed yourself in hopes that soon you would be out of the blizzard.
You stared down at your connected hands as you walked, focusing on the slight comfort you felt from having the weight of his large palm against your smaller ones. He easily could’ve directed your hand to grab onto his vest. It would be more practical, especially on the very impossible chance that someone showed up to shoot you both, but you were glad that he hadn’t.
You decided that it was better to focus on his hand in yours than anything else as you let Ghost lead you out from the field into a forest.
You weren’t sure how long you both had been walking for. It felt like hours but maybe it had only been minutes, it was hard to tell with the weather blocking out the sun, though you did notice that the already sparse light was starting to lessen.
The chance to worry about being stuck outside in a blizzard during nighttime didn’t happen as Ghost tugged on your arms to get your attention.
When you looked up, you could see a very small cabin, one that you assumed was most likely a safehouse or at least a place you could use without being shot by someone since it looked uninhabited. You weren’t sure how good a cabin in the middle of nowhere, in the wilderness would fair you both, but you at least would be out of the snow and the wind.
A relieved sigh left your chest and you rushed up to the door with Ghost right beside you.
Ghost slammed the door open with his shoulder when it wouldn’t budge from the ice that was stuck on the frame and pushed you inside. He didn’t waste any time following inside as he shut the door as hard as he could against the wind, locking it for good measure but you were sure the ice would replace itself quickly.
The inside of the cabin wasn’t warm by any means, you could still see your breath in the cold silence, but you were less likely to turn into an icicle inside. The small one room cabin had a good layer of dust collected on many of the surfaces, the few windows having snow, ice, and grim blocking out most of the light from outside. There was an old couch and a bed stacked full of quilts that screamed your name.
However, now that you were out of the weather, your attention turned back to your lieutenant who was still actively bleeding from his arm.
You turned to grab his arm with frozen hands, shivering like mad to lead him to the couch so you could patch him up, but he stepped away from you.
“Start a fire.” He gestured to the fireplace and you jumped from how loud his voice was in the silence now that you could actually hear him. “And get out of those wet clothes.”
You wanted to argue but he turned his back to you as he walked into the kitchen, so you had no choice but to do as he said. You walked to the fireplace and knelt down, sending a silent thank you to whoever was here last for leaving a package of wood pellets inside, along with a good amount of firewood.
It took you a moment to light the fire, your fingers being too stiff and frozen at first but once you got the package lit, you tossed it in the fireplace with a few logs on top. The fire slowly built and brought warmth along with it that at first, stung against your frostbitten skin before it thawed you. You didn’t waste any time to throw off all of your layers down to the innermost one which was luckily not as damp as you thought.
The warmth against your bare skin felt good and you could already feel the effects of the fire around the cabin. It made you want to sit down in front of it until you were dry and most likely half asleep, but you couldn’t.
Instead, you walked over to the bed and pulled the quilts off, fighting back a sneeze as some disturbed dust hit your nose, and held one in your hands as you looked at Ghost.
He was bent down in one of the cabinets, most likely checking to see if the pipes had frozen over, but that was the last thing on your mind, even though you knew that there was a possibility you’d both be stuck inside here for a long time. His usual thinking of the future was good but you were also worried that he was starting to lose too much blood and that he was going to get too cold.
You tapped your foot on the floor to get his attention.
“What?”
Ghost didn’t turn around to look at you and as much as you didn’t want to let it hurt you, you were already not in the best headspace about that. It made you falter and you gripped the quilt in your hands a little tighter. You wondered for a moment if you should just give up and let him come over to the fire on his own before you tapped your foot against the floor again, less forceful this time.
“Quiet-”
He stopped what he was doing and looked back at you with softer, apologetic eyes before he nodded for you to go on.
“The pipes can wait.” You signed to him before you showed him the quilt.
“You sure you want to be stuck in a place with no plumbing?” He signed back and you nodded as you held out the quilt for him to take.
Ghost didn’t say anything as he stood up and walked towards you. He began to take his clothes off, tossing them on the floor without care. Each layer he peeled off, the more prominent the red stain became on the sleeves of his clothes before he made it to the last layer, the entire sleeve of his arm soaked rich with blood.
You couldn’t help but stare at it as he grabbed the quilt from you, your eyes glued to the way his shirt stuck to his skin from all of that blood.
“Medkit’s probably in the bathroom.” He said, watching you from behind his mask as you stared at his arm. “I’ll get it.”
“Stay.” You signed and gestured towards the couch before you rushed to the bathroom.
When you found the medkit, you came back into the room and sat down on the couch beside Ghost, throwing the quilt on top of his lap before you began to pull out what you needed from the kit.
“Take your shirt off.” You signed as you held alcohol soaked gauze in your hand.
“I’m flattered, sergeant, but take me out to dinner first.” Ghost teased, most likely in an attempt to lighten the mood but you didn’t look impressed.
Without another word, he slid his shirt off and revealed the bullet wound that was in his bicep. You grimaced before you gently began to clean the blood that was stuck to his skin all the way down to his wrist. You watched him flinch ever so slightly when you dapped more alcohol onto his wound, finding some solace in the fact that it had stopped bleeding for the most part, likely from the many layers he had on.
The silence in the cabin was only broken by the howling wind outside and the crackle of the fire as you worked to patch him up. You had pulled the bullet out of him with ease, grateful that he didn’t squirm much at all, unlike Soap when you had to do that to him. You sewed up his skin meticulously as you tried your hardest not to hurt him anymore than he was while you did so. Though your hands moved gently, your mind was being anything but gentle to you as you did so.
You were waiting for Ghost to reprimand you for messing up but you hoped that the reason he was silent was because he didn’t actually think you were the reason he was hurt.
The whole reason why he had been shot was because of you.
You had noticed that there was a gun pointed on him from your location on top of the ridge you both were hiding on. The convoys had spotted you and you both were trying to pick them off with your rifles, but there were too many. Before, the weather had been mostly clear but the wind and snow came almost immediately, making it difficult to communicate with Ghost through the comms like you normally did.
He couldn’t hear the coded beeps you had created to avoid any miscommunication on the field. He couldn’t hear you when you tried to warn him about the sight that was on him and you realized that the only way he could’ve was if you had yelled at him.
This was the first time this problem had risen up, the first time that your silence failed the mission and it fucked with your head.
It didn’t matter what Price thought about you, it didn’t matter if you were one of the best sharpshooters on the team. You fucked up because you couldn’t say a damn word when it mattered, when your friend’s life was in your hands, all because of them.
“‘S’not the first bullet wound I’ve had.” He assured you in the best way he could and you glanced up at him. “Won’t be the last either.”
You shook your head and finished stitching him up. You threw the medkit on the floor and grabbed another quilt, placing it over your shoulders as you turned your attention towards the fire. You pulled your knees up to your chest as watched the flames dance in the brick fireplace, letting the warmth seep into your damp clothes.
“You’re upset.” Ghost pointed out as he pulled his shirt back on. “Why?”
You glanced at him to see that he was staring at you expectantly, the look he had being that of his profession, a lieutenant asking his sergeant a question. It wasn’t so much of a demand, but you could see that he was waiting for the answer as if it would be a given.
For a moment, you thought about lying or just not telling him anything, but you quickly realized how impractical that was. You both were most likely going to be stuck inside for at least a few days as you waited for the weather to lighten up and he knew you too well to let it go. He would get the answer out of you eventually and you knew that he had the patience for it.
“You got hurt because of me.” You signed without looking at him. “I fucked up.”
Ghost looked at you with confusion.
The thought never crossed his mind. He had replayed the situation over and over in his head many times on the trek to the cabin, going over all the ways it could’ve gone better or worse than it had, but the idea of blaming you hadn’t popped up until now.
In all honesty, he thought it was ridiculous. The one thing about this job was that not everything could be controlled and getting injured was unfortunately one of those things. Of course, it was easy to keep yourself out of the line of fire and behind cover, but it was never guaranteed to keep you a hundred percent safe, there was always a chance that something like a bullet going into your arm or anywhere else, could happen.
To blame you would be irresponsible on his part. All of you were the best of the best and though it was better to never have mistakes, it was unrealistic to believe they could never happen.
“These things happen, sergeant.” His voice was calm and leveled, his words spoken with indifference as he pointed out the obvious.
“It shouldn’t have happened, I shouldn’t have let it happen.” You argued back with a huff that made him frown.
Ghost didn’t like when you were upset, though he never outwardly expressed that to anyone. Usually when you were upset, he would try to do something to at least make it easier for you to feel better, such as get your favorite food or go on walks with you, but he was out of those options right now. There wasn’t much he could do but talk to you and that wasn’t something he was particularly good at.
He was a man of action, a man who would rather do something for you to fix the problem than talk it out. His words often came out too harsh or cold to bring any comfort even when that’s what he was trying to achieve. He was too awkward, his ability to read people only going so far when the issue wasn’t something he could fix physically.
He thought over his options, trying to come up with some solution to ease your guilt. The only thing that came to mind was to attempt to downplay the pain he felt right now.
“I’ve been through a lot worse than this.” He blurted out. “Not all my scars are from the field.”
You looked at him with knitted eyebrows for a moment, trying to decipher what he meant before he looked at you, not turning his gaze away from you as he waited. You stared deep into his eyes, searching for a hint within them but found that they were guarded much like he often was and you knew there was a reason for that.
Before you assumed that it was because of the job you both worked in. It was easier to work in this environment when you kept yourself on guard, when you didn’t let your emotions show and when you were always prepared for the worst. But Ghost was protecting himself from something old, something that had plagued him before he set foot in the military.
It made your chest tighten and you gave him an acknowledging look, one that you hoped signified that you knew what he was talking about without him having to elaborate.
It didn’t help you in the way he thought it would however. It gave you answers, a very small amount of answers, to the questions you’ve had about what happened to make Ghost adopt his persona, but it only made you think about how your pain caused him to suffer through more.
Maybe you were being dramatic, it was in the job description that injuries happened, but you were far too upset to think rationally.
“You still got hurt because I couldn’t say anything.” You emphasized and his eyes narrowed.
“That’s never been an issue before.” He pointed out and you shook your head.
“That’s my point! It’s never been an issue until it truly mattered and that means that I’m not good enough for this job.”
“Then speak.”
You sent him a glare, one of the nastiest looks he had seen from you since he started working with you but he didn’t seem bothered by it. You were shaking from anger, almost appalled by the audacity he had to say that to you and if it were possible, you would’ve stormed away from him.
You knew Ghost wasn’t good with words but it seemed like he was being insensitive now after all of the friendliness he had shown you before this moment. You should’ve expected it, he was your lieutenant, a higher up who was supposed to be your boss. There shouldn’t be sympathy for your problems and yet it still stung hearing him be so tone-deaf.
“If it bothers you that much, then speak.” He repeated and you gripped the quilt tightly. “Unless you can’t because something inside you won’t let you. So why get mad at something you can’t control?”
His words sunk into you and quickly doused the burning anger inside of you. You stared at him, your eyes softening as your shoulders slumped before you let out a shaky breath.
Ghost stared back at you with those cold tired eyes but for the first time you could see softness in them too. A look that told you he felt for you, one that told you he was there to let you feel for yourself as your frustrations slowly slipped into a feeling that made your chest heavy, a feeling of remorse for what you had lost, what had been taken from you.
He saw that familiar sadness creep up into your eyes and he ignored the heavy feeling in his chest that came from the look.
Despite what he presented as, Ghost was curious about people and who they were, it came from being so observant. He wanted to know because knowing meant all of the secrets that might be used against him. He had questions about why you were mute but he didn’t dare ask them when he saw that all too familiar look in your eyes.
Defeat. Remorse. Anger. Fear.
Those were things he’s felt, things he feels very often that he would never wish on anyone, even if it was common for soldiers to go through them. He would much rather not feel anything and often lost himself in his persona to avoid having to deal with them, something that he hoped you wouldn’t turn to.
He knew. Deep down he knew why you had that look in your eyes and that’s why he didn’t ask. He didn’t know how long ago it had been, not that it mattered since it seemed to cling onto you like a leech, but he could only assume just how bad it had been.
You shook your head, answering his rhetorical question he asked as you fell back against the couch. You knew what he said was right, he was speaking logically, trying to get you to come out of your head to look at the bigger picture, at what really mattered and it was working.
His comfort didn’t come from soft words, not really anyway, but helping you see the truth and it helped a lot more in this situation than anything else.
You mourned now. Your heart was heavy and if you were alone, you may have shed a few tears just to let them out before your head hurt, your chest hurt, everything inside of you hurt. It was more than just physical, it felt like something inside of you that wasn’t tangible had been ripped apart in ways that made it impossible to escape the feeling.
It made you afraid, deep inside you were just a scared woman who had been hurt by people who wanted information out of you.
“It still hurts.” You looked back at the fire as you signed to him, blinking away the mist in your eyes.
Ghost brought your attention back to him with a light touch on your shoulder. His eyes reflected your pain with his own but with more anger than you were feeling now as he signed the simple words:
“I know.”
The words stunned you and made you feel remorse for him because paired along with his eyes, they said everything he couldn’t.
I know you’re still hurting because I’m still hurting. I know that the pain follows you everywhere, it does the same with me. I’m still haunted.
I was hurt too.
You dared to place a hand on his wrist, doing so with care but he didn’t pull away from you. The contact from both of your now warmed bodies was enough to have you let out a silent sigh that seemed to take some of the weight off your chest as you stared down at where you held his wrist.
Ghost hesitantly placed his hand over yours, barely putting any weight on it, and you looked up to meet his now comforting gaze.
A small smile stretched across your face as you gently squeezed his wrist before you pulled away.
“At least we have each other.”
Ghost’s eyes widened before his eyebrows knitted together. A strange feeling crept into his chest, something he hadn’t felt in a long time, something he probably had never felt before this moment. It made him want to hide from you but stay as close to you as he could too, to hold you and to push you away.
He wasn’t sure what to make of it but the sentiment was enough to make him feel something…good.
“We have each other.”

Ah, sunrise. The time that Astarion should’ve despised the most, considering it’d kill him, but it was really one of the times of day that he loved the most. Because you were there waiting for him in bed.
He was just coming back from a night of haphazard drinking with Karlach and Wyll. They’d both invited you out, but you’d refused, saying you were too tired from all the work you’d been doing helping Baldur’s Gate rebuild. Astarion had been suspicious of you. You were never one to turn down some partying with friends, but he had tried not to think too much of it.
He quietly crept back in through the front door of your shared house, and a soft smile found its way onto his face when he saw that all the curtains had already been drawn to protect him. You must’ve drawn them before you went to bed, knowing he’d be back by sunrise. It was the little things like that that made his undead heart feel alive, even if just for a moment.
Astarion slowly pulled his boots off, trying not to make any noise. After centuries of slinking about, being silent wasn’t something he really had to try to do. But he always was extra conscious when it came to you. He didn’t want to wake you up or disturb your sleep. You deserved to rest.
He gently opened the door to your room and just stared at you for a bit. There was no light in the room, but his darkvision let him see you just fine, albeit in shades of grey. He changed into some more comfortable clothes for sleep and slid into bed with you, wrapping his arms around your waist. You were sleeping on your side with your back facing him, so he just buried his face in the back of your neck and deeply inhaled your scent. Gods, you were so warm. And soft. And the perfect person to sleep next to.
“I’m home, darling,” he murmured softly into your neck, though he knew you couldn’t hear him in your sleep. He always tried to savor this time. Your schedules never seemed to line up, what with him being nocturnal and you not, but sunrise was the one time you both could really rest together, even if it was only for a few hours.
“I love you,” he said before placing a light kiss on the back of your neck and closing his eyes, holding you tight against him. He let himself relax and fall into his trance, his breathing slowing and muscles relaxing into you.
He woke from his trance about four hours later with you still in his arms asleep. He blinked in confusion. By now, you should be out of bed and out of the house. He was never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, though. Maybe you’d decided to take the day off to rest. He couldn’t complain about that. He simply nuzzled his face into your neck again and decided to just wait for you to wake up. You always looked so peaceful when you slept. He could stare at you for hours, just drinking in the sight of you.
He sat up and took out a new book he’d been reading. He wasn’t just going to sit around the house doing nothing when the sun was out. He ran a hand through your hair while he read; half because he knew you liked it, and half because he was a selfish bastard who kind of wanted you to wake up already so he could tell you about all the stupid shit he’d gotten into last night. You slowly stirred from your sleep at his touch, turning to look up at him. You lazily draped an arm over his blanket-covered legs.
“G’morning, ‘Starion,” you said groggily.
“Good morning, darling. You’re up late. Did you plan on taking the day off?” He continued running his hand through your hair and set his book down by his side.
“..What? What time is it?” You frowned in confusion.
“It’s already almost midday. Are you okay? You don’t usually oversleep. Well, this much, anyway.”
“..Midday..? Godsdamnit I’m so late,” you grumbled as you laid face first on your pillow. “Might as well just stay home at this point.”
He narrowed his eyes at you. “You’re not answering my question, darling.”
“What was the question?” you asked, your voice muffled by the pillow.
“Look, darling, as much as I love having your face in the pillow when we’re in bed, I need you to turn over so I can actually hear you.” He grinned at his own dirty joke and waited to hear your giggle back.
But he got nothing.
“..Are you hungover or something?” he scoffed. “You know, we invited you out last night. Did you go off partying with some other group of dashing bastards? You can tell me. I’ll pretend to not be offended.”
Again, nothing. He tried to hide the growing panic in his voice.
“Are you mad at me?” he asked quietly, as if it couldn’t be true if he didn’t say it loud enough. “Did I do something?” He took his hand out of your hair and placed it on his lap. His eyes raked over you, trying to see if there was anything physically wrong with you. You were eerily still. Still breathing, but you weren’t moving at all, even though it couldn’t have been comfortable with your face in the pillow like that.
“No. ‘Starion.” Your voice sounded.. pained. Like every word was taking the life out of you to say. He reached over and picked your limp body up to turn you over onto your back. Your eyes were glazed over and half-lidded. If he couldn’t feel you breathing in that moment, he was sure he would’ve thought you died. He moved some of your hair out of your face as some was stuck to your mouth.
Astarion leaned over you, scanning your face to see what could possibly be wrong with you.
“Are you hurt? Did someone hurt you?” He hadn’t noticed any signs of someone breaking in and he didn’t smell your blood anywhere in the house. What in the Hells was wrong with you?
“‘M fuzzy..” Was all you said.
“You’re.. fuzzy..?” He furrowed his eyebrows at you. “What do you mean you’re-“
And then it clicked. He’d seen you like this once before. It was after you’d been imprisoned and chained up by that goblin priestess, Gut. You’d stumbled out of there in a daze, covered in blood but silent. Once you’d all gone back to camp, you just stayed in your tent for hours. Karlach had gone to check on you, but all she came back to tell the group was that you had been laying there silently. The only thing you’d said was that you were “fuzzy.” Gods, it was so long ago that he’d almost forgotten.
He stared into your eyes. Eyes that were looking, but not seeing. He saw himself laying there. In your eyes, he saw the same faraway look he made himself have every night when he was still enslaved by Cazador. It made him have a horrible nauseous feeling in his stomach. What could have possibly made you feel this awful?
“I’m going to get you some water, okay?”
You simply blinked at him. He tried to mask the anxiety on his face and hurried to pour you a cup of water. He came back into the room with your favorite cup in hand and set it on the nightstand next to you.
“Do you think you ca-“ He looked down at you and saw there were tears falling from your eyes. They fell down your temples and onto the pillow under you, but your expression hadn’t changed since he left. He gently wiped the tears from your eyes as if you were a delicate piece of glass. As if you could break.
Your mind was completely empty but unfathomably full at the same time. You wanted to tell Astarion what was wrong. That you never had time to process everything that happened in your adventure. That the faces of the people you killed or couldn’t save were always in your mind. That the wounds you’d taken always felt like they were still there, no matter how many times Shadowheart had healed you. It was too much.
But whenever you tried to tell him what happened, the thoughts drifted away from you. Your tongue felt heavy. It was better to just give in to the gnawing emptiness. To let it consume you. To let it drown you.
Astarion took your hand in his and gently rubbed his thumb along the back of your hand. The chill of his skin against yours brought you up for air for a moment.
“..cold,” you fought through the heaviness of your own tongue, trying to tell him that the cold was helping. He pulled his hand away from you immediately.
“I’m- I’m sorry. I thought it might-“ He looked down and saw that you had gripped his hand into yours before he could pull away, his cold hand now spreading its chill through your own. He frowned in confusion. “What..?”
You flicked your chin up to motion him closer. Every movement felt like dragging a thousand pounds behind you, but his touch lightened the load just a bit. He tentatively brought his face closer to yours, now about a foot away. You flicked your chin again, then pushed your head down so your forehead was closer to him.
His eyes flickered in understanding once you did this. He laid a gentle, cool kiss to your forehead before resting his forehead on yours.
“Is this helping? Me being cold?” he murmured, his nose brushing against yours as he spoke. You simply closed your eyes and took your first deep breath of the day. Gods, were you lucky your partner was undead.
“Mm,” you grunted in response. He took his free hand and wrapped it around the back of your neck to hold you closer. He picked you up to help you sit up against the headboard of the bed, then straddled you to sit in your lap. He wrapped his arms around you, trading his undead ice for your living warmth.
It shocked your brain out of its spiral, finally letting you fully see Astarion. Your hands moved to his waist and you kissed his nose, earning a surprised noise from him. He pulled away to look at you again, his red eyes drinking in every inch of your face, as if he was trying to memorize every line and shape in it.
“What happened, love? Did someone hurt you? Did you eat or drink something odd? Gods, if anyone did anything to you, they’ll have to deal wi-“
“Astarion-“ you tried to cut him off before he could begin his “I’ll murder anyone,” rant.
He scowled. “No, I’m serious. Who did this to you? Where do they live? You know I’ve got plenty of experience killing. Nobody would know-“
“Astarion.” His face softened and he looked at you again. You gently tucked a stray curl back behind his ear. “Nobody hurt me. I just- life has been a lot, recently. I’ve been so busy helping everyone rebuild and I never had time to just.. rest, and recover from what happened to me. To us.”
“You fucking hero,” he rolled his eyes with an exasperated sigh. “Can you be selfish for just one second? Fuck them all. Are you saying spending the entire day shoveling bricks out of the street and listening to people cry for hours is more important than laying here with-“
You shot him a warning look. He rolled his head back and dramatically groaned in frustration.
“Why didn’t you tell me before this happened?” He rested one of his hands on your chest, toying with a stray thread coming out of your shirt. He’d have to fix that later.
“I didn’t want to worry you, ‘Starion. I thought I could handle it,” you mumbled and looked away from him, ashamed by your weakness. You couldn’t deal with a little zoning out and feeling sad every now and then? Really?
He took his other hand and pushed your face back to face him. When you saw him again, his eyes were narrowed and darkened at you. “Don’t.”
“Don’t what?” You squirmed under him, confused by the sudden firmness in his voice.
“Don’t say you didn’t want to worry me. That’s what led to.. this, which made me infinitely more worried than if you had just told me sooner.” He took a deep breath. He was trying to practice that whole “vulnerability” thing. “It scared me, seeing you like that,” he murmured. “At first, it was because I didn’t know what was wrong. And then it got worse when I did realize what was wrong. I don’t- I don’t want to see you like that. Like me, before.. all of this.”
Your heart felt full, but also dropped at the same time somehow. Gods, he really did care about you. In your efforts to try to shield him from what was happening, you ended up hurting him anyways. You took his hand on your face and kissed it softly before resting your face on his chest, tightly wrapping your arms around him.
“I’ll take that as an apology. You know, I’d prefer a bouquet and a new perfume—maybe a new pair of shoes as well—but I suppose this will do,” he sighed, trying to sound annoyed. You could hear the smile in his voice, though, even if he tried to hide it while you drank in his scent in his chest.
“Now, lay down again. You’re staying right next to me until I say you can leave. I never thought I’d say this, but I do miss our little camps, if only for the fire I could sleep by every night.” He pulled himself off of you and got back under the covers, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you in as well. He was startlingly strong for a.. petite elf, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t like it. He spooned you, leaving kisses along your neck while holding you tightly against himself. Your heat spread through his chest and stomach, making him release a content sigh.
"You'll be my fire, won't you? All you have to do is stay here and rest with me, darling. Let me take care of you."
Yeah, the city could go without you for a few days. You had more important things to do now.

Voyeurism or tit fuck with Thomas Shelby
Yup
Mrs Walsh
Tumblr media
◇ Pairing: Thomas Shelby x married fem!Reader
◇ Warnings: smut, Tommy, cheating, business, kind of prostitution, Reader is a mom, kind of mean Tommy
◇ Summary: You and your husband lack money and now that your first child has been born the expenses have increased and you go to talk with your husband's boss, Thomas Shelby.
◇ Note: Sorry for the note and the English.
Tumblr media
Thomas Shelby sat in his usual place in the Garrisons, a glass of whiskey in his hand and a lit cigarette dangling from his lips.
His gaze was lost on his glass, still and focused there even when you entered the room, catching the attention of all the men there.
You walked through the Garrison's local, your clothes of the day feeling more revealing then that morning you choose them— all those male stares made you uncomfortable, expecially the comments about your swollen big boobs that became like that after your first pregnancy.
They weren't nice stares but more like a stare you would give a lady of the night instead of a married woman like yourself— reason because you rushed towards the counter to ask an information while ordering also something to drink as you dealed with some touchy drunk and horny man.
Luckily you could move away from the spot, not receiving the same attention anymore when a man, dressed in fine clothes approached you at the counter, making the men turn with just an icy stare of his
"And who yer might be?" he asked, his voice low and his eyes fixed on you as he finished his own drink.
"I need to talk with Mr Shelby" you informed him quickly, earning a soft huff from the man in front of you who nodded slightly, his icy eyes changed in a look of interest now
"And what would you want to talk to me about, sweetheart?" He asked as he glanced at your neckline for a brief moment.
"Well—" you started, your voice becoming less confident "I-I'm the wife of one of your employers, sir" you added quickly, introducing yourself but earning just a raised eyebrow from the man in front of you
"Which employer?" Thomas asked in a cold but curious tone, looking you up and down in a slow motion
"Charles Walsh's wife" you whispered, you voice nearly breaking for the anxiety his icy stare was giving you.
Tommy looked at you in silence, his eyes narrowing softly as his brow furrowed as well
"Walsh... Walsh..." he repeated the lastname while he thought out loud, tapping his fingers against his glass then taking a sip of whiskey
"Yes. Walsh. He's been complaining he's not being paid what he's owed." He murmured, slightly annoyed by the memory but it quickly disappeared when his gaze focused back on you
"What's your name, darling?" He asked, leaning slightly closer as you replied, telling him quickly your name and the last name you, sadly, lost when you married your husband.
It was strange for you to converse with another man who wasn't Charles, you weren't used to it— you weren't even used to the aura of power and almost dominance that Thomas Shelby radiated throughout the room.
And he could kind of feel it, expecially by the reaction of your body, your hand shaking softly as you kept holding into your clothes almost shyly.
"Mmm... if I remember correctly, I told Walsh to go and collect payments for me. So what do you need to see me for, darling?" Tommy said, sounding annoyed now that he remembered
"Yes, sir, you remember correctly" you murmured quickly, looking at the glass that he was holding in a tight grip now.
Tommy watched you, moving his wrist softly to make his drink swirl in its container "And what did Walsh tell you to say to me?" He asked, taking another sip of whiskey, then placing one of his elbows on the bar, leaning his bodyweight on it and his hip which was resting against the wood as well.
"Nothing, sir. I'm here to speak to you without him knowing" you quickly reassured him, scared on what he could have done if he just suspected something that wasn't true but that could turn you into a problem for him or his family.
His eyes got slightly wider, glimmering with a dark interested as he talked again, taking in the reveal "and Why's that?"
You hesitate for a moment, looking down in embarrassment before opening your mouth to reply
"B-because he didn't wanted to ask you so I decided to come myself— a-and talk about business with you, Mr Shelby".
A huff came from his mouth followed by a hurtful sarcastic tone "You decided to come here and do your man's job for him?" Tommy said with a wry twist to his mouth "Is the poor chap still recovering from the war or has he found somewhere interesting to spend my money?".
You lowered your head softly, holding back tears as you started to feel ashamed of yourself and your husband.
Tommy looked like he was getting fed up with your lack of response and he was clearly getting less and less patient by the second "Well?"
"I will go to the point, Mr Shelby. Me and my husband had our first son recently and we are lacking of money even more...now that we are three mouths to feed" you paused gulping softly before adding "My husband isn't earning enough and I was wondering if you could—"
Tommy stopped you with a wave of his hand, he took another sip of whiskey before speaking "And that makes it my responsibility how...?" He raised his eyebrows, watching you attently as you replied
"W-Well— I'm here to ask you if it possible for you to give my husband a more important role so that he could earn a bit more".
Tommy took a deep breath, looking at her.
He's started to get annoyed.
"I'm not a charitable organization, sweetheart. It's not my job to provide for your family, alright? Your husband is one of many workers in my employment. I'm not going to give him a promotion just because he shot a load of spunk into you and you popped a kid out."
As you listened to him your eyes watered, he was right and you really felt ashamed of yourself and your husband....again.
Tommy took another sip of whiskey before adding, ignoring completely your tearful eyes
"And by the way, he is a big boy who can speak for himself. If he has a problem, he needs to tell me.... Not you."
His words had hurt you in a way, maybe that was the main reason you opened your mouth again, a fire of hatred in your previously teary eyes.
If your mother had been there at that moment you would have been in trouble, you knew that a good woman had to keep quiet and care for the man.
"He's spending the money on other women and pubs— just came here to try and find help!" You paused as an idea crossed your mind, your eyes meeting quickly his in an almost pleading way
"I will do anything for my baby— anything, Mr Shelby...Please".
Thomas watched her intrigued by that. You were attractive in his eyes and clearly desperate "I like what I am hearing so far..." he knew that it was kind of wrong but he didn't really cared.
He didn't regret it at all, especially when he found himself in a bedroom alone with you, his eyes on your naked body in front of him— you were sitting on the soft mattress, gulping softly as you tried to understand his intentions.
His icy stare made you shiver, your skin reacted to the tension, as well, by creating a trail of goosebumps all over your body— his calloused hand came closer, gently caressing your cheek before leaning in closer
"Yer know what to do, honey" he murmured, making it sound almost like an order.
You didn't exactly know what you had to do but you imagine so you just pinned him quickly on the bed, crawling carefully on top as you worked on his pants after receiving a hum of approval.
You pulled out his rock-hard cock, pumping it to its full length before wrapping your lips around it, deep throating him without forewarning— wetting as best you could his whole dick.
Soft but low groans kept leaving his lips as you kept preparing his length for the idea you had— his stares at your breasts didn't got unnoticed by you, reason why you wanted to do the "work" faster by using them.
As soon as you determined he was ready, you lowered your chest towards his length, squeezing it between your big mama boobs— you kept holding them, massaging softly your nipples as you let him move his hips up to fuck himself by using your tits.
His moans became louder as his movements sped up but before you could witness his climax, Tommy moved free from that position to stroke his erect cock quickly to shoot his load all over your boobs and neck, as if you were a canvas and he was a painter.
You both caught your breath since you were panting, your heart beating fast just like your hand that cleaned your skin from his seed, giving him the satisfaction to at least taste him as you waited for you payment and for him to leave because of a business meeting he mentioned when he dragged you in that room.

The clock continued to tic the hours away, as you laid on your bed. Trying to will it to move faster, and end the long day. Time always seemed slow during the tough days. Even longer lately, what with Steve being out on seemingly endless weeks of missions.
You really couldn’t complain, considering that that is his job. And it was all for the good of the future. Your future, together. Steve has been open about building a safe and happy future. And being able to secure it, one bad guy at a time.
You chuckle at the thought. Remembering the night Steve said those very words to you...
Tumblr media
You had called an hour before, needing to vent. Your work day was one of the worst you’ve had in a while, and Steve, hearing the frustration, and weariness in your voice, took it upon himself to try and make it better. He arranged the pillows to frame your bed, pulled the curtains closed, put the lamp on its dimmest setting, grabbed the comfiest blankets, and made a little love nest for you two love birds.
He nervously looked over every little detail. Fluffing up the pillows, smoothing down the bed sheets, pulling at the curtains, double and triple checking everything. Luckily, you announcing your arrival, broke his intense focus.
Steve rushed off. Tripping and stumbling on his own feet, regaining balance, and taking another look around, before stumbling once more, and finally hopping down to you. Not that you were having any of it. Immediately assuming that Steve had prepared something romantically sexy. Which, in Steve’s opinion, was sweet but nothing romantically sexy about his plans.
But at Steve’s insistence, and puppy dog eyes, you were, albeit begrudgingly on your part, lead upstairs to your converted room.
“You sounded so sad on the phone earlier, I wanted to do something special. Try and make your day a little bit better.”
You smiled as tears slowly filled your eyes. Jumping into Steve’s arms, as he picks you up, and puts you on the bed, to rid you of your work clothes. Slipping you into your favorite button-up of his.
You’d stay in the love nest for hours. Snuggled into the love of your life, except for the few times, he’d get up to get food and water. Insisting that he should get them, not wanting you to get up and leave your little bubble.
Few minutes into your meal of a shared bowl of chocolate covered fruits, Steve’s phone rang. Causing him to step out, to answer it. Not coming back until a few minutes later. His expression crestfallen, but trying his best to keep up a mask of happiness so as to not drag your already down mood. Ofcouse, you knew him well.
“They’re calling you away on another mission?” You asked, after a few minutes of silence.
“Yes. But it’s a necessary evil, if I want to build our future.” Steve sighed, giving you a weary smile.
“And I do want to build it, one bad guy at a time.” He continued, taking both of your hands in his.
“Are you proposing to me right now, Rogers?” You laughed.
“Believe me, Doll. When I propose, you’ll know...” Steve smiled.
“Well, until then, I’ll take a few of your shirts. But even after you ask, you might never get them back.” You declared teasingly, grabbing a strawberry and running off, as Steve gave chase.
Tumblr media
You sigh and get up out of bed, deciding to go down to your living room to watch a rom-com with your over-sized stuffed bear. But not before grabbing your favorite button-up shirt, that Steve left at the foot of your bed just before he drove off to the compound for his mission, a few days ago. You pressed it to your nose, inhaling the comforting scent of aftershave and wood, something that was uniquely Steve. And changed into it, buttoning up most of it, and leaving some undone.
You made your way down the stairs and into your kitchen, grabbing some leftovers stored in tupperwares, in your fridge, and preparing to heat them in your microwave. You stepped into your living room, turning on the TV. and arranging the throw pillows, blanket, and your bear, so that your couch has prime comfiness, all before the microwave dinged to signal that your dinner is warm.
You quickly grabbed it, utensils, and Y/F/C/D from the kitchen, carefully carrying them in your arms, and using your elbow to turn off the light in your kitchen. Leaving your living room lamp, and your TV as your only remaining light source. Creating some sort of ambiance that allowed for optimal comfort once you wrapped your shoulders in your blanket, placed your bear on your lap, and pressed play on your movie, before grabbing your food and settling in for the night.
Tumblr media
A few hours later, the roar of a Harley can be heard in the distance. A bit toned down, due to Steve knowing that most, if not all of the residents of his neighborhood were soundly and safely tucked in their beds.
The mission was shorter than expected, and for that he silently thanked God. Because he was able to come home to the woman he loved sooner than anticipated, and will be able to surprise her with the best gift he could ever give her. Him.
He shut off the engine, as soon as he arrived and parked on the driveway. Removing his helmet, grabbing his things that he had strapped to the back of his motorcycle, and grabbing his keys to unlock the front door.
The first thing he noticed was the TV was on (hard not to when he noticed the dim glow coming from the living room). The one thing he didn’t expect as he was reaching for the remote was the sight of you holding your bear, the very over-sized bear that he had won for you at the Fair last month, close to you, one of your cozy blankets draped over your shoulders, and the collar of his button-up peaking from under the blanket.
He chuckled at the adorable sight, but sighed softly. Knowing you well enough, that you had a rough day, just by needing any semblance of him near, and needing every aspect of your cozy cocoon in order to feel better. He knew what was needed, and it was something he definitely needed for himself too.
And so, he put his bag and shield down to the side of the recliner to the right of the TV, out of the way, so that none of you would trip on it the next morning. Removed his leather jacket, and placed it on the arm of the couch by your feet, before kneeling down by you, to get on the proper position to be able to pick you up, and carry you bridal style. Hopefully without fully rousing you from your sleep.
You were half awake as Steve slowly made his way up the stairs, to your shared room. The blanket still wrapped around your body, essentially wrapping you up in a burrito. You felt the need to find more warmth and comfort from the solid wall of muscle that you were resting against. And so snuggled needily into it, much to Steve’s amusement.
And that is why he decided to remove his shoes, before going into bed with you a minute later. Not wanting you to spend even a minute without your human teddy bear. He could change and take a shower in the morning, he just knew you both needed the other near.
“I’ve got you, Doll... And I’m not going anywhere...”
Tumblr media
a/n: Hope y'all enjoyed it. I'm kind of nervous uploading this, and I'm also worried that it's cringey. Love y'all, Bookies! Stay sane, especially with things coming up in the Fandom soon.

Boba Fett w gun play? I feel like he’d definitely appreciate a reader who knows his way around a blaster haha.
Boba Fett x male reader
headcanons
Tumblr media
I can imagine Boba likes a partner who knows their way around any weapon. This is bounty hunter Boba, before he ends up in the sarlacc. I just think Boba being so turned on by his partner being dangerous is so Mandalorian.
You were a fellow bounty hunter, your specialty was force users and the highly skilled. This didn’t mean you just hunted Jedi, but all force users, and by God were you good at it.
You and Boba met when put on the same bounty, some extremely skilled warlord that ruled an entire cluster of planets. Working together you guys were able to take him down, and Boba got the first glance of how skilled you were with a blaster.
After that you two became allies, then friends, and then lovers. It was a slow process, as bounty hunters don’t trust easy, especially other bounty hunters. But Boba was younger at the time, and cockier than he is in the future, so he doesn’t give up.
Even before you guys started dating, seeing you fight always left him feeling heated and hot blooded, his codpiece fitting uncomfortably with how hard it made him to see you flip your blaster in and out of its holster and switch to a different weapon.
He knew he was head over heels when you pointed a blaster in one of the gaps in his armor, digging it into his flightsuit and leaving a mark, threatening to kill him right then and there. And instead of fear, he felt like he was gonna burst inside his flightsuit.
It was better than any adult entertainment for Boba to see you cleaning your blasters. To see you take them apart piece by piece, clean them up, and click it back together again, always had him panting to himself.
It takes a bit for you to realize just what kind of effect you have on Boba. Because of his cockier attitude and just being younger than he is in the Mandalorian series, hes got a higher drive and is more grabby.
It’s not unusual for Boba to come up behind you and squeeze your hips and ass, or for him to say all kinds of dirty things over comms during bounties. But he is especially twitchy and antsy when you show off.
It hits you just how much he likes it when he walks into your shared room to see you sitting there in nothing but your boxers, trying to fix a jam in one of your blasters, and he turns right on his heel to march into the fresher to get off.
Even when he comes back out of the fresher without his armor, he still stares a little too intensely when you finally fix the blaster. If he hadn’t just gotten off, Boba would probably have popped a stiffy again.
From then on you start to show off on purpose, using a blaster when you don’t actually need too, or maybe handling your weapons a little more lewdly.
Like, theres no reason for you to lick one of your knives, or use spit to clean up a spot on your blaster, but you do it anyways, just to see Boba start shuffling around, trying to be subtle about how hard it makes him.
Boba would realize you had him figured out pretty damn fast, because you make a habit out of staring him in the eyes when you are cleaning up the barrel of your blasters with a rag, making sure it gets real clean and shiny.
Neither of you really say anything, and maybe that’s a problem that comes with you both being younger adrenaline hungry bounty hunters, as you guys don’t discuss kink a whole lot either.
One day when you guys are getting steamy, nothing too extreme, just Boba pressed up against the wall, his codpiece off, and flight suit opened, one of your hands twisting and jerking his length, you put your blaster into the mix.
With your other hand, you press the cold barrel of the blaster against his cock, making Boba’s eyes shoot open and immediately look down, his noises growing louder and hungrier, his hips twitching, and pupils blown huge.
He ends up cumming all over your blaster, which you just tsk about and complain about, but you both know its just all for show.
Sometimes to make Boba more desperate, you don’t even have to use the blaster in any way. It just being visible on your belt as him awake and aware, you pretty much pavlov him to get a stiffy when you walk around in little clothes and your blaster on you.
One of Boba’s favorite things you do, is when you make him hold your blaster in his mouth. The safety is always on of course, and its never actually turned on, but it always has his eyes rolling and his cock dripping.
You probably end up with a blaster just for this, since you can’t let Boba slobber all over your actually good blasters, since it could ruin the technology. It is pretty hot to see him flatting his tongue around the barrel like he’s sucking you off though, so sometimes you’ll use your favorite blaster on him.
When he’s older, after the sarlacc, he still has a thing for blasters, and just weapons in general. If you end up allowed to use a garderffii stick by the Tuskens, it gets him as hot and bothered as your blasters used to do in your younger years.

The Infantilization of Wylan Van Eck (within the soc fandom)
Hi! This is my first tumbler post ever, which is like super scary I wont lie. But I've had this project I've been working on since October and I'd love to share it with people, so here goes nothing!
Infantilization or to infantilize someone means to treat them as a child or in a way that denies their maturity in age or experience, and it qualifies as a form of mental abuse.
This treatment is common in fandoms, although it obviously isn't done in a hateful way on purpose. It’s often directed towards characters who are more innocent, more kind, or more anxious than the other characters within the universe. Or, sometimes these characters are literally just the youngest of the group. Some examples of this include, Entrapta from She-Ra and the Princesses and Power, Varian from Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, Number Five from The Umbrella Academy, Hunter from The Owl House, Little Cato from Final Space, and even Peter Parker from the MCU.
However, most of the traits found in characters that are infantilized are also traits found in neurodivergent people. These traits include, missing social cues, being easily excitable or restless, often feeling anxious hyper fixating on something (usually related to science or math), being an outcast from the rest of the group in some way, and so on and so forth. Therefore, infantilization within fandoms is pretty problematic on its own. People (usually online) think that characters with these traits should be babied or pitied or demeaned in some way, even though neurodivergent consumers usually relate to these characters because of those same traits.
Some evidence of Wylan being infantilized can include; the fact he's only referred to as cute or synonyms to that, while the other Crows or their actors are often sexualized more. People saying or implying he's smaller, weaker, or even younger than the others. And of course, people saying Kaz and Wylan are father and son... which is something I'll come back to later.
Why Wylan?
To better understand why exactly Wylan is receiving this treatment exclusively from the fans, we need to fully analyze the Six of Crows duology, which is exactly what I did!
When we are first introduced to Wylan in chapter seven (Matthias’ POV) of the Six of Crows, we see him sitting at the table and doodling while occasionally chewing on his thumbnail. He doesn't speak until Inej voices her doubts in Wylan’s demolition abilities. Jesper says Wylan “barely knows his trade”, and Kaz mentions that Wylan is “new to the scene”. Matthias also makes a comment about how Wylan “looks like he’s about twelve”. When Jesper and Inej continue to complain about Wylan being their demo man, Kaz tells them that Wylan is doubling as their insurance policy because Wylan is Jan Van Eck’s son, the rich merchant who’s paying Kaz and his chosen crew 40 million kruge in exchange for breaking Bo Yul-Bayur out of the Ice Court. This immediately makes everyone in the room think less of Wylan because of his privileged past.
This introduction sets up Wylan to the readers. His reserved body language, along with his inexperience and Matthias’ comment about his young appearance gives the impression that Wylan is more childish than the other Crows.
In the next chapter (Jesper’s POV) as the Crows react to the reveal of Wylan’s identity, Kaz tells Wylan that he’s “passable at demo, but excellent at hostage”. Jesper calls Wylan a “baby merch” and insists that Kaz leave him behind, less he slows the crew down. Wylan is annoyed that Kaz and Jpeser are talking about him as if he isn't in the room. Then, Kaz tells Wylan that the only reason he hasn't been mugged or jumped in the three months since he left his father’s house is because Kaz placed him under Dregs protection. In fact, Jesper even says that Kaz has been “coddling Wylan”. Jesper proceeds to call Wylan useless as he and Nina belittle Wylan for living in the Barrel “by choice”. This is also where the nickname “merchling” comes from. When the group continues to go back and forth over Wylan’s skills, Kaz repeats that he’s only bringing Wylan along because he doesn’t want to leave their hostage alone in Ketterdam. This makes Wylan the only Crow that wasn’t hired for their abilities, Wylan’s passable demo skills are simply a bonus. It’s a way for Kaz to keep the crew small and avoid splitting the money even further.
This entire exchange and interaction between our six main characters lays out the groundwork for the dynamic between Wylan and the other Crows for the majority of the first book. Everyone else in the room believes Wylan is just another spoiled rich kid. They make fun of him for his lack of street smarts, and the money he was born into. Wylan never really fights back too much when it comes to comments from the others, which just reinforces the idea that he came from a cushy lifestyle where he never had to learn how to defend himself verbally. Wylan’s inexperience and innocence is often mistaken for stupidity by the characters, and therefore the readers.
Kaz saying, “Always hit where the mark isn’t looking.” Only for Wylan to reply with, “Who's Mark?” is a great example of this. (Still chapter eight, Jesper’s POV.)
In chapter nine (Kaz’s POV) we see how Kaz views Wylan in his inner monologue. He says Wylan seems out of his depth, and even though he’s only a year younger than Kaz (making Wylan sixteen)  he still looks like a child. Kaz describes Wylan as a silk eared puppy in a room full of fighting dogs. This pushes the concept that Wylan is more childlike than the others further onto the audience.
Additionally, in chapter eleven (Jesper’s POV), we see Jesper quite literally call Wylan “kid” during the attack at the docks, even though they’re also only one year apart. And in chapter fifteen, Matthias refers to Wylan as “the soft one” within his own inner monologue.
Since Wylan doesn't have his own point of view chapters in the first book, the reader’s entire understanding of this character is formed through the eyes of the other Crows. So, what we’re hearing about Wylan in the first book might not be entirely accurate, which is something people often forget. Part of the reason why the fandom treats Wylan the way they do is because of the way the Crows describe and talk to him throughout the entire series, The reader learns to rely on the others’ opinions on Wylan in order to learn more about him.
All of the evidence I have shown so far, and even some smaller things I haven't included, plants a certain mentality in the reader; Wylan doesn't have the same knowledge as the other Crows, so he must be weak and gullible. Weakness and gullibility are often traits associated with the “younger-one-of-the-group” trope, or the “Kid Trope”. So, since Wylan is displaying behaviors that we as media consumers have grown used to attaching to characters who are literal children, Wylan must be a child, or at least be treated like one.
However, the Crows don’t treat Wylan this way because they truly believe Wylan acts like a small child, because he doesn’t. Wylan’s behavior is perfectly normal, it simply sticks out in contrast to the harsh environments all the others have been exposed to. They treat him this way throughout the book as a sort of condescending joke, they belittle him for the stereotypes surrounding his upbringing and little else.
Still, like I said, the Crows’ mindset on Wylan is all the reader is exposed to for the entire first book, so the reader will subconsciously assume Wylan must be doing something to earn this odd treatment from the others. Sometimes readers don’t understand that it is not Wylan’s wealthy and sheltered background that makes him different, it’s the fact that the others are all criminals, murderers, soldiers, and convicts. Wylan is the only “normal” Crow on a very surface level, so his innocence is bound to stick out more.
As the first book continues, we see that there’s more to Wylan’s past than he lets on. We see first hand how smart and capable Wylan truly is, as his character grows with the story. It begins in the fight at the docks in chapter eleven, where Wylan uses his own flash bombs to help Jesper out.  In chapter thirteen, Wylan openly questions and even challenges Kaz after he throws Oomen overboard, which shows great courage on Wylan’s part. This pattern of questioning Kaz when no one else really does is a common theme when it comes to Wylan. We also see Wylan explain who Pekka Rollins is to Matthias in chapter fifteen. This shows that he’s not completely incompetent, and is at least somewhat aware of what goes on in the Barrel. Then, in chapter seventeen (Jesper’s POV), Wylan expresses his natural curiosity and desire for knowledge about anything, from the mechanics of the Ice Court moat to the design of Jesper’s guns. All of this builds to chapter twenty-two, where the Crows are attacked on the ice by Grisha who were sent by the Shu, dosed on parem. Wylan does a lot of heavy lifting in this fight with his bombs, and everyone is impressed. Jesper even makes a comment about how Wylan’s “earned his keep” now.
Small moments like this that showcase Wylan’s natural resourcefulness and strength are crucial to communicating with the readers that the Crows were wrong about Wylan in the beginning. As Wylan’s true nature begins to develop further throughout the first book, we slowly see the Crows and their attitude towards Wylan change. It becomes more positive. In the future, when Wylan makes an ignorant comment, the others don’t poke fun at him as much. They’ll tell him to be quiet at most.
By the final climax of Six of Crows, chapter forty-six (Kaz’s POV), we find out Wylan cannot read. Jan Van Eck is open about his hatred and mistreatment of his son. When Jesper jumps to Wylan’s defense, he goes as far as to say Wylan is smarter than most of the others put together. Jesper is in love with Wylan at this point in the story, so his words might be a little exaggerated. But there’s still truth to them. This entire scene serves as evidence that Jesper and the other Crows have realized Wylan’s intelligence and worth, so they don’t even think twice when they find out Wylan can’t read or write.
If all the Crows’ preconceived notions about Wylan were proven wrong before the end of the first book, then why does the fandom still view Wylan in such a problematic way?
Blame Booktok
This is all mainly tied to modern day book consumption, and the obsession with “tropes”. Online reading communities such as “Booktok” or “Bookstagram” have normalized interpreting even the most complex characters through simple archetypes. This is something all six crows are a victim of, in fact, most characters within all kinds of media are.
A good example of this within Six of Crows is Kaz Brekker himself. Kaz, within “Booktok”, is often lumped together with several other male YA love interests in books, like Aaron Warner or Cardan Greenbriar . They all usually share very few qualities, like having violent tendencies, being extremely protective of their loved ones, and acting cold or mysterious towards others. Regardless of the fact that all these characters are so complex and different, from their relationship dynamics, to their morals, to their backstories,  readers still often view them as one in the same because of videos online pointing out very minute similarities. A broader example I would use is the way the Hunger Games series was often marketed and discussed as if the love triangle between Peeta, Gale, and Katniss was the main focus of the story. But really it was just a subplot to a more serious and heavy narrative.
People will often focus too much on singular tropes because it makes books easily identifiable and marketable in this new era of self-publishing and online purchasing. It’s easier to judge a book by its cover if you have a broad sense of what might be inside based on the small character details or scenarios other readers liked from it. But what does that have to do with Wylan?
Well, because people often talk about books or even whole genres on a surface level, they also discuss characters on a surface level. This lazy form of consumption is what often leads to mischaracterization. People can obviously understand complex characters like Wylan, so it’s not a question of intelligence. Fans online are just used to discussing things within books fandoms in such a simple way and viewing a character through the lens of one trope. They’ll put the character in a box, and Wylan just so happens to check all the boxes for a character who would be infantilized. Even though there are interesting things about Wylan besides his “innocence”, people are less inclined to talk about it. In short, viewing Wylan as just another character who falls under the category of a simple stereotype is easier than including and discussing his nuances.
So who is at fault?
When it comes to talking about a more harmful fandom behavior, like infantilization, it’s important to keep an open mind. Sometimes, it’s the creator’s fault for writing a character in a problematic way, not the fandom’s fault for interpreting it that way. So, is Leigh Bardugo at fault here for writing Wylan in this light? Or is it the fandom’s fault for not looking past the obvious parts of a character?
I don’t think it was Leigh Bardugo’s fault. If you take the second book, Crooked Kingdom, into account then you can clearly see that the way Wylan is disrespected in the first book is something he’s dealt with his whole life, especially from his father. Wylan has been taught to believe that his reading disability makes him useless as an heir, and as a human being all together. This is one of the reasons why we never see Wylan truly snap back in an aggressive way in Six of Crows when the others insult and belittle him. A big part of Wylan thinks that the others are right about him being useless. Obviously, Wylan couldn’t have had his own POV chapters in Six of Crows, because then that would spoil his father’s true motives. However, I think the fact we didn't get to see his point of view in the first book serves another purpose. Wylan’s low self-esteem is definitely a major thing he needs to overcome in his personal story within Crooked Kingdom. So for the readers to fully understand this, we needed to view Wylan from an outside perspective. First, we get to view him as the other Crows do, as someone sheltered and weak who’s in way over his head. Then, we get to see why Wylan is the way he is. I think this sort of reverse style of character writing is really interesting and more fun to read. But still, not every reader accepted Wylan just because the Crows started to warm up to him. So by extension, this is also why Wylan is one of the most hated Crows. Nevertheless, I think the way Leigh Bardugo chose to write Wylan is inevitable for the story and vital to his character! It wouldn't feel the same if we didn't get to see how the others viewed him first.
The fault lies with the fandom when it comes to Wylan’s infantilization. But, are people online really just lazy when it comes to discussing characters, or is something bigger at play here? I think it’s both. People do misinterpret Wylan’s strong and resilient character because of laziness and the normalization of oversimplification and overconsumption within the book community. But this treatment is also rooted in subconscious ableism. To better explain what subconscious ableism truly is, I’ll be taking a deeper look at a specific dynamic.
Kaz and Wylan (are not father and son)
Despite these two characters only having a one year age gap, the fandom often views Kaz and Wylan’s relationship as one similar to a father and son dynamic. Which is understandable to a certain degree. Kaz is the very first person Wylan ever told about his reading disability. Kaz had Wylan placed under Dregs protection the minute Wylan set foot in the Barrel, which may have been for Kaz’s own selfish reason, but it still kept Wylan safe for a while. There are a couple scenes in the books where Kaz will give Wylan advice about life in general, or about having a disability, not just about being a criminal. We see Kaz take getting Wylan justice for his mother and stealing back Wylan’s inheritance very seriously. Wylan even starts to pick up some of Kaz’s mannerisms and facial expressions. All of these could be viewed as things a father and son would do, despite how small the actual age gap is. However, the fandom seems to take this relationship to the extreme, from fan fiction and fan art, to getting the characters’ actors involved.
It’s somewhat because of very minute subconscious ableism. People naturally view Wylan as younger because of his demeanor, but also because of his disability. The opposite is true for Kaz. His physical disability makes people naturally view him as older than seventeen in their minds. This is due to long standing ableist tropes within the media. People with mental disabilities are often depicted as stupider in some way, so they need to be babied or coddled. While people with physical disabilities are often depicted as very ill, or very old.
This might seem far fetched, but it’s true. And it’s quite obvious if you look closely enough at anything from books, to movies, to TV, to games! These are just some of the harmful stereotypes we see in our world every day,
How to fix this issue
Now, of course people aren’t just going to stop misinterpreting characters or stop viewing them through small scale tropes all together. But keeping yourself educated and aware is a good way to stop promoting these harmful stereotypes. Listen to the voices that are being affected in these situations! In this case, it’s people with mental or physical disabilities. Be sure to take into account what they have to say on matters like this one. Allow yourself to take the criticism and learn from their experiences or feelings. It’s important to be empathetic and kind to one another, and acknowledge that sometimes we do problematic things without intending to. When talking about characters with disabilities, it’s important to remember what they represent, and the fact that you can't always say whatever you want just because the characters are fictional.
As always, if you’re ever unsure about whether something you feel or think is harmful towards a certain community, never be afraid to ask questions and do your research!

Pairing: Sabo x reader
Content: fluff, a little kissing, gender neutral reader, short and sweet <3
Word Count: 0.7k
A/N: just a little something i wrote about sabo! i rlly thought about making it longer, bc usually i write at least 1k words or so even in one shots, but i am happy with it as it is now. i hope you like it too, thanks for reading! :)
Apricity
The warmth of the sun in winter.
Sabo drags you out of bed at the “ass crack of dawn.” Or at least, that’s what you describe the time of day as when you complain about him waking you up so early. You grumble and groan until it’s clear you’re not getting out of this early morning excursion.
“The sun is barely up!” Yet, it still momentarily blinds you with its rays when you walk out onto the deck.
He holds your hand- be it to share warmth or so you don’t turn back, you’re not sure. “It’s about a third of the way to its high point-“ then he turns so he’s walking backwards to face you, “and if the sun is up, we should be too.”
The two of you come to a stop on the starboard deck. “No,” you move one of his hands to your waist, “I should be tucked in bed under my warm covers” then the other, “with my warm boyfriend,” and finally looping your arms around his neck, “and we should both be asleep.”
Sabo smiles and nuzzles his face into your neck. “I’ll keep you warm.” His hair tickles your ear, but you can’t giggle as you’re still trying to be annoyed with him.
“Hmph.” His hands start to rub up and down your sides as the two of you take to swaying in some type of rhythmless dance. “You don’t even like this kind of cold weather.”
“I know.” Sabo finally shows his face again, much to the chagrin of your chilly neck region (and to the pleasure of your eyes.) “But, I do like when it’s cold and I can feel the sun on my face or back.”
His confession is just cheesy and poetic enough to make you smile, albeit softly. “Hm… Like a cat?”
“How dare you! I think I’d be a lion if I were an animal, at the very least.” Sabo says this all very matter-of-factly, causing you to fall into a fit of quiet giggles in his arms. His eyes track your movements- your smile, the way your eyes crinkle, the very sound of your laughter- while wearing a smile of his own.
You quiet yourself again, still grinning brightly, and shrug. “Still a cat.”
He just stares at you for a moment after that, and you think you must have something on your face. “Sabo? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” His blonde hair falls over his eyes as he shakes his head to reassure you. “Everything’s perfect, love.”
Such a simple little pet name, but it still manages to make you blush. You push the hair out of his eyes and end up cupping his face in your hands. Now you’re the one staring, but he doesn’t seem to mind the intent observation. “What was that thing you said about the sun earlier?”
“Hm? That I like how the sun feels in the winter?”
“Yeah.” You place a chaste kiss on his lips. “I think I get what you mean.” It’s freezing outside, and the wind chills every exposed inch of your skin, but none of that seems to matter right now. From the way his smile and his eyes shine; warming you from within, while also squeezing you gently to share his body heat… it’d be impossible to not understand the feeling he describes.
“Good.” Sabo kisses you back, gentle and slow. Like you have all the time in the world- which, you suppose you do. It certainly feels that way when everything is cold; it’s the type of weather where you really just want to stay in bed all day. And yet, here you are outside, entertaining your boyfriend’s desire to feel the sun in winter. “But I like kissing you more, just so you know.”
With the sweetest expression you can muster and a tilt of your head, you ask; “Does that mean we can go back to bed?” Alas, your question is only answered with laughter.
But hey- maybe winter isn’t so bad anyway, when you have the warmth of the sun right in your hands.

Tumblr media
"Y/N! Come on, we can't slow down now, we're almost there!"
"And where," you pant, "is 'almost there', Seungkwan? Almost there to my death?"
Seungkwan smiles, and it's not his brilliant, heart-bursting smile but it's close enough. "You shouldn't have offered to take me out hiking, love," he says teasingly, from where he's standing on the path further up. "You gotta deal with the consequences."
You groan, pulling yourself up with your hiking poles along the dirt path. "Yeah, next time I'll just offer to pay for a full spa day for you. That'll be way easier than this torture I accidentally signed up for."
Seungkwan chuckles, continuing to hike up the mountainside while you groan and complain and sweat to death behind him.
Your boyfriend loves nature. He loves being surrounded by it, feeling humbled by the vast everlastingness of the earth, feeling part of the unending beauty of the world and the countless lives of animals and plants that he has the privilege of living alongside. It relaxes him, brings him peace, allows his soul to settle more comfortably in his body once he's able to see that he's important, that he matters, that nature is there for him and surrounds him and he is at once a part of it and forever under its power the entire time.
It's a complex combination of feeling humility at nature's capability and feeling comfort at being in her care, but you get it. You understand Seungkwan.
That's why you offered him a healing day out trekking up some of South Korea's most idyllic mountains, after all.
You're kind of regretting agreeing to come along, though.
Well, almost.
"Y/N, I swear, we're almost there this time," Seungkwan insists when you wail about your legs again. He's standing at a curve in the path you're following, which isn't really much of a path but more of a wobbly line of soil where the ground has been worn down just a little more than the rest of the undergrowth surrounding you.
"What, almost to the top?" you manage to say. Wow, you need to exercise more.
Seungkwan shakes his head. "No, we're almost at a rest point though! There's a fallen tree we can sit on."
"A fallen tree," you deadpan, crunching through leaves. "We're almost at a fallen tree."
Seungkwan wrinkles his nose playfully at your tone. "Yes. A fallen tree. But I'm really, really certain that we've almost reached the summit, if you wanna forgo a break and carry on…?"
"No, no, let's take a break," you say hurriedly, hobbling up the remaining stretch to find the fallen tree he was talking about and flopping down. "Ah, that's better."
There's a peaceful silence then, as you drink your water and Seungkwan tilts his head back, revelling in the quiet that comes with being so, so far away from other people. You watch him out of the corner of your eye and fight the urge to grin widely.
This is the one, sole reason that you don't regret coming on this trip.
He has his eyes closed, the sunlight peeking through the green leaves of the trees and casting an uneven glow across his face, one cheek, half of his forehead, the tip of his nose and small spatterings of his eyelids lit up in gold. He looks like he's been blessed all over by some sun deity, but nothing can top the utterly content look on his face.
Seungkwan hasn't been feeling himself lately, and you get it, with all that's been going on for him. He's been doing so well, and you tell him so, but sometimes those words aren't enough. Sometimes he just needs time to distance himself, to heal without having the reminders of his pain and struggles hitting him in the face.
Somewhere in the distance, a bird chirps, and Seungkwan opens his eyes.
"Don't you think that the day sky is so beautiful?" he says, contemplatively, squinting through the forest canopy.
You look up with him, squinting your eyes. "The day sky?" you echo.
He shrugs. "Yeah. Everyone always talks about the night sky, and yet no one seems to mention how pretty the sky is during the day."
You tilt your head, watching as faint wisps of white clouds drift by, in between the green leaves and up there in the brilliant blueness of the sky.
"The moon is really, really beautiful," you say, "but I guess we never do think about how pretty the sun is too."
"The moon will forever be beautiful," Seungkwan agrees, voice softening, "but there's beauty in the day as well. There's so much light. So much vibrancy. So much potential for living."
You smile, lowering your head to look over at Seungkwan. He still has his head tilted upwards, so far up that you can't see his eyes. But after a moment, he squeezes his eyes shut and looks at you with a smile. It's a sad smile, but there's relief there, a happiness that comes from having the time to be with such refreshing scenery and his thoughts and with you.
His eyes crinkle as he leans forward to press a kiss to your nose. "You know I love you, right?"
You hum, placing your hand on his cheek to keep him in place and quickly kiss his forehead. His skin is clammy with sweat, your hand warm on his equally warm cheek, but the softness in his eyes makes everything else rendered irrelevant.
"I should hope so," you say drily after pulling away. "I'm here, suffering with you right now. I'm currently loving you too damn much for you not to love me back."
Seungkwan laughs at that, a ringing bell sound that sounds so much like his usual self that it makes you laugh too.
"Well, thank you for loving me that much," he says, and it's teasing, but there are rosy warm threads of sincerity to his words. "Thank you, oh noble Y/N, for putting up with me."
"Any time," you say, and you can recognise that warm sincerity in your own voice too. "I'll do anything for you."
Seungkwan smiles.
A wind blows around you, blessedly cool, and you sigh in happiness. Sometimes small and cold sticks to your forehead, and you dislodge it to gawk at the small blossom petal that managed to stick to your sweaty skin.
"Kwan, look at this petal that stuck to me," you say, turning to your boyfriend, only to laugh at the way he has two on his cheek, seemingly going unnoticed by him.
"What? Why are you laughing?"
"You had a little something on your face, babe," you say, taking off the petals and showing them to him. Seungkwan blinks down at them before chuckling and shaking his head.
"There must be cherry blossom trees further up ahead," he said, watching as more pale pink petals float around you.
You hum thoughtfully, staring at the little blossom petals. "Blossoms represent growth, you know," you say. "And new beginnings. They symbolise a better tomorrow."
Seungkwan tilts his head. "Really?" He's silent for a moment, before standing up. "Well, we better get going, I think. I want to see this blossom tree at the summit, now that we know it's there."
Instantly, you're groaning, and Seungkwan laughs as he takes your hand and pulls you to your feet, teasing you the entire way. But he doesn't let go of your hand, and the two of you walk leisurely up the mountain, skin all sun-dappled and with blossoms in your hair as you make your way to the top and to that blossom tree.
All the way to a better tomorrow.

I notice no one has asked yet so for the character thing: laios! Or if you want to go for a less common one: the winged lion
Laios!!!!!!
First impression
Honestly its hard to even limit this within the confines of starting the actual manga. I genuinely think I'd have to say my real first impression of Laios was the "autism be damned, my boy can work a grill" joke that gets passed around a lot 😭
Impression now
Older brother.
Loves his friends and family so much. Let him infodump!!!!! A guy that can character arc so hard he becomes a king because its the only way to deal with the things he can no longer let himself look away from. A guy who wants to eat a good meal. A guy who wants everyone to eat a good meal.
A guy who can be all that and still kind of pettily complain that he doesn't get to hang out with monsters anymore & can mope about it soooo annoyingly. A guy who decided to eat the concept of all-consuming hunger because it was the only way to deal with the problem so he might as well try. A guy who can completely change his life by deciding to share his special interest. A guy who can imitate a dog really well.
Favorite moment
Don't make me choooose... okay I'm gonna do three:
1. Assembling Falin's bones with Marcille
Tumblr media
The humor. The patience. The slow realization that, despite how absurd of a task it is, it is actually all possible. The moments of admiration for the way skeletons work, the love of the details, the care of assembling all three skeletons just to make sure they get Falin right. Iconic scene.
2. Killing Falin
Tumblr media
"Unable to make myself accept. Unable to make myself resist" lives in my soul now idk what else to say. Life is so vibrant and horrifying and raw and beautiful and to let yourself fully be a part of it you must take up space. You must consume. You must fight. You must take and be taken from. Ourgh
3. Talking Marcille down
Tumblr media
I love that he looks so goofy on his way up to her. I love the context of how much he refuses to give up on her leading up to this, and how he refuses to give up on her now. I love how everyone is part of this scene, but he's the first one to cross the threshold. I love how she almost blows him up but can't do it (fun fact: this exact situation/post was how she killed Mithrun a couple of chapters ago. It was close).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the way he appeals to her mostly just with messy honesty, and I love the silly three rules callback. It's such a sweet chapter.
Also honorary mention for the final page of the story, which gets me every time.
Idea for a story
I'm actually currently fiddling with a longer story concept dealing with the question of Laios needing an heir. Dungeon Meshi is grounded enough in politics that it genuinely feels like a question that the characters will have to grapple with at some point. At the same time, there's no way that like arranged marriage and even having kids in general are not messy topics for Laios and I don't think anyone involved would want to force him to be miserable.
(I also don't personally like the idea of Falin as his heir ftr, bc I think forcing Falin into that role sucks and I don't think anyone would go for it)
So how DO they deal with the issue? Idk! I might write a long meandering story about it! Maybe! I want to, at least.
Unpopular opinion
Ughhhh I don't realllly want to poke this with a stick but yeah I definitely think my most generic (apparently????) Unpopular Opinion with Laios is just that his relationship with Marcille is meaningful and loving. I personally don't view it as romantic and they mean a lot to me as a platonic-life-partners kind of thing, but I also think that dividing relationships in general into Ships TM and Definitely Not Ships isn't really appealing to me personally. I just care them.
(at the same time I really do worry about trying to write about them and it being taken as romantic despite me very intentionally not framing it as such. idk, navigating this stuff is complicated.)
Favorite relationship
UGHHHH LIKE. It is probably him and Marcille. But it's so hard to rank that against him and Falin. Both relationships mean a lot to me and I love them and I love to think about them.
Because him and Marcille have more on the page interactions to dig into and because I don't see them discussed as much, I do tend to gravitate to Marcille & Laios stuff above all else. But like.... don't make me actually commit to picking.
Favorite headcanon
I can't think of a strong answer for this so I'm going to make one up on the spot: I think he giggled to himself soooo much when he included the winged lion in his king outfit but made it so that it looks like the wolf head is eating it. I think he continues to giggle about it years later. I think he gets dressed in the morning and puts on his cloak and goes "get ate, idiot" as he fastens it around his shoulders.
Oh actually for a more genuine headcanon related to the story thing I mentioned above: I think Laios is really good with kids but would be scared of having any of his own. I think he'd have trouble with the classic "I don't want to mess them up the way my dad messed me up" abused kid struggle.
