DpxDc AU: What’s an adoption paper or two between bros?

Danny is starting to realize that since Jazz left the house for university, his parents aren’t really good at well, being his parents. They’re obsessed with his alter ego to the point that they ignore his normal ego, and that uh, hurts his feelings. Like, a lot. Meal times have gotten weirder and more inconsistent, and he’s starting to wonder if they suspect what’s really going on with him.

They’ve started to say “You know you can tell us anything” these days when he sees them outside their lab (which isn’t frequent) but the normal amount of ghost hate speech hasn’t changed. If anything it’s gotten worse. Just like everything else.

Danny joined the whole-ass justice league to fill his spare time after high school and his parents are literally none the wiser. Like, he's a part time high-school senior at 17 and a full time international hero. His parents only comment on the fact that the menace Phantom is costing them a lot in airline tickets as they try and apprehend him all over the world. Hell, they caught Ellie for a second when he was in Morrocco and it got ugly fast. She's a junior member now but mostly spends her time with some doofus that has a magic traveling house.

And really, he's fine with his schedule of going to school, going ghost and making a difference, and then returning to a dramatically silent house. Really.

Then one day his new friend and co-team lead Red Robin makes a brief mention about his own childhood of neglect and Danny makes a joke, "What, no adoption papers for the homies?"

He laughs as he says it but something in his leader's eyes looks sharp, and Kon is sighing in the background something that sounds suspiciously like dear Rao you've done it now.

Next time Danny is on the Watchtower, he's brought into a meeting with Red Robin, Batman and various other JL team leaders.

"Adoption papers are very much for the homies. I've also included the option of emancipation, as you'll see in the green folder, but I am one hundred percent serious about adopting you."

"Red, you're like, 3 months younger than me." Danny deadpans.

"Adoption is for the homies and I'm emancipated. And If i'm reading Batman correctly, you're facing three outcomes right now."

"Three?"

"One: I adopt you and you become my legal dependent. Two: Batman adopts you and I become your legal brother. or Three: You emancipate yourself while allowing us to provide for you while your housing situation is sorted out."

"... Uh. Door one?" Danny is having too many feelings. Why does batman look disappointed? What is Jazz going to say? What on earth???

"Welcome to the Drake Family." Red shakes his hand up and down, the grin on his face feral and the plan towards being emancipated from the Fentons and adopted by his boss is a weird one.

But eventually, a few weeks later, he's had a pretty delicious dinner by his new adoptive grandfather-tler and is watching a movie with Tim and Kon on the couch and he's just so happy and comfortable and warm...

"Will this make Kon my dad if you two get married?" Danny laughs and it's the closest he gets to being disowned.

I see your vampire!Bruce Wayne AU and I raise you this:

Normal human Bruce Wayne raising his horde of vampire/dhamphir children, but because Bruce is Bruce no suspects any of the Batkids are, well ... bat kids.

Even the Batkids are confused at first when they first meet Bruce. Batman shows up and they're like:

"Oh, shit it's Batman! The very scary, very territorial Vampire Lord who's completely taken over Gotham and has managed to strike fear into the heart of all the most notorious vampire leaders! And he wants to adopt me into his coven? Sounds sketchy, but aight."

Only for them to wake up the next day and realize that not only is Batman in fact NOT a vampire, but he's also the most pitiful and pathetic human they've ever laid their eyes on and there's no fucking way they can leave him now.

Humans are already super fragile and easy to kill as is. And their new guardian is risking his life every night masquerading as an all powerful Vampire Lord!!!!

It's honestly a miracle that Bruce hasn't been killed yet and there's no way they're going to let their clueless human guardian wander off by himself. Especially after they realize he keeps forgetting that humans aren't supposed to be awake for 72 hours straight and his skin is paler than the giant hoards of case file documents he tries to sift through while barely touching his own food.

This poor idiot human is so committed to pretending to be a vampire that he's actually convinced himself he has night vision and spends more time hanging out in a literal Batcave than he does in his own fucking house!

Meanwhile, Bruce is thoroughly convinced he's got a complete handle on the whole raising vampire/dhampir children thing. After all, it's not like he's had to change much about his own personal life to that of a parent taking care of a horde of supernatural children.

He already spends more time awake at night anyway and while the kids don't mind human food absolutely love Alfred's cooking, it's not difficult to get a hold of any blood when they actually need to feed on something more substantial. Considering he's the biggest contributor to Gotham's blood donation centers, it's not like anyone's gonna tell him no.

Bruce also read somewhere that while vampires in the modern age don't actually need to hunt humans to feed anymore (considering the above mentioned donation centers), their hunting instincts haven't gone away, either. So while he was initially against the idea of letting his kids getting involved in his vigilante lifestyle, it was probably a good thing in the end that they had an alternative outlet for their growing vampiric urges. Like Alfred, he would have preferred it if they had gotten into competitive sports or something similar instead, but all his children had proven themselves to be just as stubborn as he is so he made do with what he could.

Especially considering the fact that a parenting article he read mentioned how extremely sensitive young vampires/dhampirs are towards the well-being of those who make up their coven. Dick, ALONE, had proved how absolutely futile his attempts to separate his night time and day time activities truly were. Apparently, it was detrimental to young vampires to be separated from their parents/guardians for too long. Better he trained them and supervised them himself versus having to re-experience Dick, Tim and Cass stalking him like the supernatural predators they were while doing his nightly patrols.

And if any of his children leaned a bit more into their feral nature whenever Bruce happened to get hurt on patrol, that was just kids' instincts reacting to the head of their coven being threatened. It's taken years of training, grounding and long late night discussions to convince his children to try holding back their supernatural strength and bloody acts of retribution. He still finds himself lecturing them from time to time even if he's fully aware they're all humoring him.

He still has the small collection of baby fangs that Dick had somehow roped all his younger siblings into contributing to over the years. For the life of him, he can't begin to fathom why anyone would want to collect teeth or why his children are so adamant that he holds onto theirs. But ever since he jokingly mentioned the Tooth Fairy to a horrified and offended younger Dick when his first set of baby fangs finally started coming in, it seems his children are determined to make sure no one can even attempt to think about exchanging their fangs for mere quarters.

And for the record (and despite what his children and friends keep on insisting), he never set out to actually pretend to be a "Vampire Lord." He just honestly thought designing his costume around one of his deepest fears would be a good way for him to use that fear against the criminals of Gotham.

He also won't admit that he completely forgot about the obvious association people make between bats and vampires.

Hey so this is kinda inspired by @virgamsysxvolumes lucky rush au but it's more my own twist on the bioshock inspiration. Actual prompt / idea below the cut

Ok so this would be a good parents au where Danny revealed himself to his parents shortly after the series (excluding phantom planet) and they were super supportive and asked for his help in learning more about ghosts. He also managed to track down Dani and brought her back to Amity only to learn that the ecto dejecto was only a quick fix. Eventually with Frostbites help they cure Dani but the only way is to essentially turn her into her core and let her form a new body in a special pod only she would be a baby. Now at first Jack and Maddie were going to fake a pregnancy and pretend she was Danny's and Jazz's sister however she and Danny bonded while they were looking for a cure and she accidentally called him Daddy. Danny was smitten and decided he would not pretend to be her brother and would be her dad.

The fentons pass it off as an invention gone weird that basically made a baby from Danny with no mother and Amity just shrugs at the Fenton weirdness and accept baby Dawn (She asked Danny to give her a new name before she was turned to a baby and I think that would be a cute name Danny would come up with.) Now 4 years later Danny is 19 or 20 and Dawn is 4 years old and Danny had been studying inventing like his parents and medicine from Frostbite. At Dawn's most recent check up Frostbite gave Danny one as well only to discover that Danny has been absorbing more ecto-energy than his core can handle because he is a primordial in the making (yes this is master of space Danny). So the solution to this is two-fold he has to move to another dimension with less ecto-energy and he has to where a special suit in his ghost form that frostbite and his parents made together. Which is this.

Just without the drill and maybe a little more astronaut themed.

So eventually they pack up Danny and Dawn and find a new dimension with a city where they can live without people asking too many questions. Gotham city. With the number of vigilantes already there Danny won't feel obligated to go out and fight and he can finish his degree at Gotham U and start a business making and selling meta specialized medical equipment and other helpful inventions. (But no weapons.)

So Danny and Dawn with their new identities and parents/grandparents, aunts and uncles (blood and honorary) settle in pretty well with Danny and Dawn going out on moonlit walks in Ghost form. Thus the people of Gotham meet Big Daddy and his little starlight.

Now as for who I would ship with Danny I personally love DannyxCass or Dead silent as I think the current ship name for them is.

So maybe she meets the single dad Danny at college or at the park for the first time but they don't really hit it off until Danny signs Dawn up for a ballet class that Cass teaches.

Meanwhile Bruce and the more paranoid Bat's are trying to find out more about this tank like Meta that the public named big daddy (I imagine people heard Dawn calling him Daddy and No one ever asked his name so they start calling him that as a sort of meme) after he beat down a feral ManBat who tried to go after Starlight. (They heard Danny call her that in the suit and ran with it)

Basically we have creepy tank man and his glowing ghostly daughter on one side and sweet Cass and Danny romance with little gremlin Dawn trying to play matchmaker on the other.

Also what I think the other bat's think of Cass new boyfriend.

Dick is full overprotective big brother.

Jason after seeing the way that Danny is trying to help the underprivileged and the fact that they are like something out of a Hallmark movie ships it.

Tim is paranoid about this stranger and is back to his old habits(stalking) to find answers.

Steph is full Gung ho wing women she will be Cass bridesmaid God dammit.

Damien starts off hostile thinking there is no way he's good enough for his favorite sister until he meets Dawn and suddenly he is declaring that Cass needs to hurry up and marry him or else he will because he will have that adorable little girl in his family no matter what.

Duke is wary at first because he hadn't ever seen someone who glows as bright as Danny and Dawn but the more time he spends with them the more he realizes that the bright glow is a safe and protective aura and that it reaches out and covers everyone Danny cares about. (Danny has a ghostly aura he subconsciously covers people he cares about with that let's him react to danger faster)

Alfred is already planning out weddings and birthdays. He always expected Dick to be the first one to give him Great grand babies but he's not complaining.

Bruce much like Dick is full over protective dad maybe he even borrows one of Alfred's guns to try to intimidate Danny.

Barbara who is both a big sister figure and a almost mother like figure to Cass is absolutely delighted. (It doesn't hurt that Danny made a set of leg braces that can read nerves to allow her to walk naturally again without needing surgery)

Selina adores the two and thinks they make a cute couple.

Also I think it would be funny if after all of Bruce, Dicks, and Tim's paranoia Danny just strait up tells them that he is from another dimension and even offers to let them tag along on the next visit to his parents so they can do a proper background check (which freaks them out because they hadn't told him they were doing that. At least until while they are discussing it and if that was evidence that Danny is more than he appears Cass says she told him that they were doing a background check on him. Not that Danny didn't already know but it helps the suspicion.)

But yeah part neutral Meta and park Hallmark romance.

Also maybe a side plot of Jazz coming to this dimension and maybe she has a relationship with Supergirl because I haven't seen that before.

That trope where danny and jason meet during jason's six months dead? That, but with good fenton parents.

Jason is either the same age or a year or two younger than danny (between danny'and ellie's age). The fentons know danny is a ghost and have already adopted ellie. Team phantom includes the entire fenton family and valerie (and obv sam and tucker), maybe even valerie's dad.

Vlad is either reformed (post agit with teen dan?), blackmailed into submission, ran out of town, or "dealt with." The giw have been run out of town, and may or may not still exist somewhere licking their wounds. Peaceful ghosts are openly welcomed in the town, which is phantom's haunt, the fentons plus red huntress deal with the troublemakers, and the phantom siblings handle the biggest threats. May or may not be an everyone knows au.

Anyways, danny runs into the ghost of robin and is all, holy shit, a teen vigilante died, and immediately drags robin home to get all the overbearing comfort and love the fenton family can provide.

Somehow, that transformed into the fentons adopting the ghost of robin as one of their own. Jason even starts going to caspar high. Everyone knows that jason is a ghost of a kid who died too young and may be considered an honorary phantom, only team phantom knows that he's robin, and may have learned a concerning amount about batman from jason, depending on how open he is.

The joker disappears a month after jason joins the fentons and the fenton parents have solid alibis to prove they werent involved (having access to phantom's ghost allies is a large boon).

After six months of living (excuse the term) with the fentons, its as if jason has always been part of the family. So his sudden disappearance is a shock. Its treated as a ghostnapping, and the fentons are quick to use the boomerang to track him down.

They find a near-catatonic, but very much living, jason either wandering gotham, or just as he's being carted off by talia. If the latter, wrecking the league of assassins probably becomes an entire team phantom affair.

Jason is brought back home, and between the fentons and frostbite, they find a way to treat jason, learning that his living body is developing into a halfa in a similar slow manner that vlad did, but with jason's ghost core already fully developed.

That's four different halfas created in four different ways (five for five if teen dan exists), plus the increasingly liminal population of amity park, and the human members of team phantom so strongly liminal that they all have protocores and will probably become halfas when they die.

At this point, the story can go multiple directions.

If the fentons wrecked the league of assassins, either they discovered damian or talia dropped him off with bruce a few years early, when tim is just starting out as robin. If the fentons have damian, serious discussions about informing bruce of his biokid ensue, and the fact that theyve also adopted his undead son will inevitably come up and whether jason wants to deal with that mess of emotions.

If damian is dropped off with bruce, bruce is gonna hear stories of an orange man that can bust through walls, his teal assassin wife, their fiery daughter, and pair/trio of loyal white haired pit demons (assuming jason's ghost is white haired, and whether or not he's well enough to join), that wrecked ra's shit and sealed away the pits. He *will* investigate. Also, damian and tim will probably have to be kept separated, probably by having tim patrol with dick while bruce wrangles the feral child. This is smack dab in the middle of the worst period of the batfams social dynamics, but otoh, damian being younger will ultimately be better for him as he'll probably be deprogrammed a lot easier.

If the fentons never cross paths with the loa, another avenue is still open with the giw. If they've been run out of amity, but the anti ecto acts still exist, the justice league still have a chance to encounter them. Perhaps after amity ran the giw out, a formal complaint was filed to the justice league (they finally broke through the giw's blackout), but it was labelled a non-emergency (because the complaint described how the town couldnt get the message out until *after* they dealt with the problem) and was never investigated for being labelled a low priority. Baby robin tim found the file while exploring the bat computer and asked bruce about it, kicking off an investigation.

On the flipside, the giw try to convince the justice league that hostile entities have taken control of a small midwestern city, maybe the league is convinced right up until batman comes face to face with jason and is willing to hear him out.

If none of the above, jason could start talking about how he wants to return home to help crime alley, and the fentons support him all the way. You could even have jason still become red hood the crime lord, minus the family drama and joker ultimatum, and the training he would have gotten from the league is covered by ghost hunting, halfa powers, and the fenton parents' ecclectic skillset. Cue gotham being slowly invaded by team phantom as each child in turn goes to gotham U for college to be near and support jason.

Or jason is perfectly happy to stay in amity forever, but jazz goes to gotham U for its psychology program. She tries to keep her head low, but batman at this point runs a background check on every psychology major in gotham U (maybe bruce wayne funded a reform of the program - the reason why its now lauded as one of the best in the nation - to try to prevent more rogues being created.) Jazz pings a few warning criteria because her parents match a handful of mad scientist traits, so batman is now doing a full investigation on her family and finds a picture of jason.

Ignoring all of that, maybe jason keeps tabs on batman and is extremely upset that he's taken on another robin after the last one died. He's emotionally stable enough, and the fentons emotionally competent enough, to get him to talk and work through his emotions, but everyone agrees a wellness check for the new robin is in order. They go to gotham and confront batman, realize he's an emotional mess and that tim forced his way into the role and decide that the bats are all fentons now, no batman, you cannot escape. Assimilation is inevitable. We *will* get you to work through your grief and make you a better vigilante because of it. And tim has been abandoned by his parents and is living alone? That wont do. We're going to assume for your benefit that you were too grief-stricken to notice bruce, but you will not be making any more oversights like that under our watch.

There are probably a dozen other directions this could go, but mostly i just wanted to provide some prompts/ideas with ghost/halfa jason as a fenton. I need more fluffy fenton dynamics and jason fluff.

Another one of those 'Tim joins the Batfamily early' Au's that's also a 'Cass joins the batfamily early' Au, wherein Bruce doesn't suddenly start respecting his children's privacy and boundaries when Jason meets his bio mom and actually hovers right outside the door, thus knowing the moment things turn south. He gets his boy out of there right away (the Joker still has diplomatic immunity for whatever reason and Sheila still dies). Jason is sad about how it all went down, but Bruce explains to him what he'd explained to Alfred before Jason learned about his mom. Between that and how Bruce behaved when he found Jason overseas, he knows his adopted dad loves him, so he's okay.

He does, however, think that they should probably look into the whole thing where Lady Shiva might have slept with his bio dad and then had a daughter around the time Jason was born. Just in case. So they track down feral fifteen year old Cassandra and are kinda thinking they should keep her no matter what when the DNA shows that she actually was Willis Todd's kid all along.

Bruce is definitely keeping Jason's half-sister, so she stays.

Dick comes back from space to learn about all of this and starts spending more time with his little brother and sister, which gets the Titans involved. Raven helps them translate some basic motions beside Cass' greeting punch to speed along communication with her.

While Jason and Cass are bonding and learning to communicate, she keeps bringing this kid to his attention or deliberately putting them in the boy's path. He's a few years younger than them and Jason's pretty sure he's seen him around, but he's never really paid any attention to Tim Drake before. Now that Cass has imprinted on him or whatever, he decides to try to get to know him.

What he eventually realizes is that Cass has been trying to tell him that Tim knows who they are. He's good at keeping a secret, but little clues in his body language when he sees them had clued her in. She can also tell he's studying martial arts and gymnastics, so she sees an easy in and just starts training the kid. That's when Jason figures it out.

Jason and Cass get Dick on board, and the three convince Bruce they need to keep Tim.

Alfred says nothing throughout all this but a room has been set up with a batman and robin bedspread, a bunch of Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and Artemis Fowl books, and the closet has been converted into a mini darkroom, so it's safe to say he saw the writings on the wall.

Batfam AU where Tim meets the family through winning a photojournalism contest by the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olsen and Clark Kent come to Gotham to present award to talented 10 year-old who submitted series of close-up, stylized pictures of Batman and Robin eating takeout.

Cue an internal Bat-freak out when Bruce realizes those pictures were taken from behind several rows of police tape, after a fight with Clayface that left several people dead.

Cue an internal Super-freak out when Clark realizes the 10 year-old baby child is meeting up with two reporters, by himself, for an award with no parental supervision.

Cue fight for adoption rights of a feral grade-schooler and his camera—Bruce accuses Clark of only wanting Tim for his talents as a photographer, and Clark accuses Bruce of only wanting him for his talents as a sneaky future-Robin.

In the end, he winds up with Jimmy, who is an amazing mentor, and even better dad.

here's something no one asked for: bats fallout 4 au

cass: made as an institute courser and the best of the best with a perfect clear record until she was ordered to execute a traitor and she bounced, she drifts for years anywhere and everywhere, eventually ending up in goodneighbor and through Coincidences into the office of one Barbara Gordon

babs: a doctor in goodneighbor specializing in human/machine interface and neurobiology, aka railroad agent oracle she and her partner Dinah run the memory den, part therapeutic establishment part front for synth liberation activities Babs helps deprogram synths and let them lead normal lives

Jason: he was taken into bruce's vault after his parents died, he was born human but turned into a ghoul thanks to a near death experience and a radiation bath, by the time we meet him, he's a drifter blown into goodneighbor hiring out his services as a merc, steadily moving in organized crime through some maneuvering

duke: a psyker (kinda like the forecaster if you played NV), he has the ability to see into the future if he concentrates, however it leaves him with huge migraines, his parents went missing after a raider attack and he joins the minutemen (honestly what is more MM than WAR) to try and find them

steph: both she and her mom are prewar ghouls (all of the cluemaster stuff still happens but he doesn't survive the bombs in jail), they used to live in diamond city until all the ghouls got kicked out, they lived in goodneighbor for a time, with steph working at the local clinic, run by leslie, eventually they both moved north to the slog (a settlement run by ghouls in an old swimming pool) when crystal wanted to get clean, steph works there as basically the town doctor

tim: (spoilers for a ten year old game but:) kinda like synth shaun he is a permanently stuck at the age of like ten, still a tech genius but like.... litol (did I say this just cause I thought it was funny.... yes)

alfred: a fuckin mr handy

bruce: vault dweller that imprinted on said mr handy like a duckling after his parents died

dick: you can literally keep his backstory intact and he makes perfect sense, haley circus is just from new vegas, after his parents murder he joined up with lyons pride and moved east with the brotherhood of steel, when the new elder rose to power after the lyons' death dick started to see the writing on the wall of fascism and jumped ship leaving that life behind, joining up with duke's new and improved MM to protect people from people he swore brotherhood to

damian: obv still bruce and talia's kid, talia is a pre war scientist and businesswoman, keeping herself and her half siblings alive and young as long as they keep their father and his weird artifact locked up. damian grows up in the closest thing to pre war luxury the post apocalypse has to offer. Eventually he wants to go out and see the world, meet his dad, write a guide to wasteland fauna. talia hires jason to guard him so he stops trying to rush down feral ghouls with a sword.

I am gonna take the month off from doing daily polls, I think, and concentrate on writing a thing for NaNoWriMo. Not that I won't be writing anything else, I will definitely be writing other things, just I'm gonna make a NaNo project my priority.

Buuuuut due to my current hyperfixations being what they are, I am absolutely gonna make that NaNo project a DC fic, haha. I'm just not sure which idea I wanna go for, so here's some elevator pitches and a poll for y'all to help me decide!

elevator pitches:

de-aged Kon + the Lane-Kent family

Kon gets magically de-aged to ten years old and Clark and Lois and also-ten!Jon take them in for the duration. Featuring Clark being an oblivious dad, self-discovery enby!Kon, and adorable little-kid crushes on various Robins from various Superboys. Also featuring Consequences and the results thereof.

Jazz and Jason go to Arkham for very different reasons and in very different ways

Jazz Fenton just got hired at Arkham Asylum and everyone keeps saying that the Red Hood is an incredibly difficult patient to work with, but she's more concerned with why no one's been feeding this starving baby halfa the ectoplasm he needs to LIVE. Featuring Jazz smuggling in said ectoplasm, half-feral Jason just delirious enough from hunger to unthinkingly drink the Lazarus water this doctor is pushing on him, and all the complicated shit that happens after that.

Kon is too trans for this pregnancy shit

Closeted!Kon accidentally gets knocked up by a random hookup and now has to explain his gender identity to everyone he knows and also have a baby while NOT explaining his sex life to either the Kents or Smallville. Featuring fake baby daddy Bart, awkward but trying his best Clark, and Tim and Cassie not understanding why Kon and Bart didn't tell them they were sleeping together.

the one where Clark is trans but Kon isn't, and no one actually knows this

Clark is a trans man and Kon is not, but some assumptions have been made by the rest of the world. Featuring Kon's constant escalating internal crisises, Young Justice and Cadmus making some understandable mistakes while trying to respect and validate "him", and Match accidentally being the one true ally for his cister.

Krypton lives and Kara Zor-El did not sign up for this

Kryptonian diplomat Kal-El goes to Earth and gets cloned about it, and somehow Kara is now stuck babysitting her baby cousin's teenage clones back on Krypton while said baby cousin is busy arguing with the council about how said teenage clones should be granted sanctuary and Kryptonian citizenship. Featuring Kon and Match wanting their superpowers back and not understanding why no one wants them to be weapons anymore, accidental mom General Kara Zor-El, and pretty young thing Lena Luthor wearing increasingly weaponized business formal to these intergalactic custody hearings.

obligatory sugar daddy Tim/sugar baby Kon AU

Early-days YJ Tim finds out that Superboy is working for and LIVING in a lab that once tried to mind control him and does the rational thing about it, which is to go "meet" him as Tim Drake and convince him to let him buy him an apartment and pay for his entire life. Featuring accidental sugar daddy Tim, very willing sugar baby Kon, and Clark being extremely stressed about the "daddy" Kon hasn't told him the actual name of.

the Gotham Kid

Cadmus successfully copied Superman's memories into the Kid when they made him, and post-Engine City the Kid runs away from being Superboy so as not to risk any supervillains finding out about said memories and hurting any of the people in them. Featuring being a homeless superpowered teenager in Gotham, meeting a very angry dead Robin and a very cute alive one, and keeping your mouth shut just to make sure there's no risk of Superman ever hearing your voice and finding you.

YJ den mom Black Zero

Kon successfully drags Black Zero back to his own reality for rehabilitation, the responsible adults there all realize they can't ethically dump him in the Phantom Zone for interdimensional crimes they only know of through hearsay, Kon doesn't see the problem with this, and Red Tornado did not ask for a reality-conquering coworker but now he's got one. Featuring Harm regretting all of his life choices, a very pissed-off superclone fistfighting Doug Side, and if anything ever happens to Young Justice, Black Zero will destroy this entire reality and then himself.

YJ packs up and gets pupped

Stray!Kon presents as an omega and doesn't know what to do about it, and Young Justice decides the obvious solution is to pack up but also accidentally knocks him up with an entire litter in the process because whoops, apparently Kryptonian-human hybrids ARE fertile after all. Featuring the comedy of errors that is every single adult in their lives not being told what's going on except for Max and Red Tornado, because obviously Max and Red Tornado, and also YJ setting up a secret identity for Kon and him discovering he kind of likes it.

Jaime and Jason have very similar helmet designs, so like...

It wasn't easy, but they had managed to subdue Cheetah and Captain Boomerang, which was a team that no one had on their bingo cards for rogue team ups that month. The villains were tied up with Wongergirl's lasso, Cheetah fuming and attempting to hiss around the duct tape over her mouth while Boomerang was passed out cold.

On the other side of the villains, Jason could see the rest of the young heroes who had been called in to help standing in a small circle, laughing about something or other, checking back in on the rogues to make sure they hadn't escaped. His eyes narrowed at tge casual arm Superboy had thrown around Tim's shoulders and the way Tim leaned into his side and made a mental note to corner the half-kryptonian and ask about his intentions.

"Intense, huh? I didn't think you worked well with others, mi amor." He was ripped from his musings by his boyfriend, who had finished some of the clean up and wandered back to his side, eyes bright and teasing.

"We were in the area when you got the call, love. And they're not so bad, really."

Jaime shrugged, self satisfied. "Sure. If you say so. Khaji Da thinks you're an imbecilic oaf who lies to himself to avoid healing with his problems by the way."

Jason reached out and snagged his boyfriend by the waist and pulled him closer, until the armor on their chests touched. "And you?"

He mused for a second, puraing his lips in thought. "I think you're just doing what heroes do. Saving lives and refusing to go to therapy."

"I go to therapy!" He replied ingignantly, to the sound of giggles from his paramour. "You were in excellent form out there, babygirl."

He did not miss the way Jaime shivered at his wods and lowered tone and the ways his gaze became warmer. "So were you."

They leaned in together, Jaime craning up and Jason leaning down, to have their lips meet in a kiss that would no doubt promise a good post-mission date night when...

Bonk!

The two pulled back as their helmets collided, Jason flushed red and Jaime almost definitely blushing beneath his helmet, his flush deepening with the laughter from the rest of the young heroes at their mistake.

"...maybe we should wait until we've changed out of out uniforms..."

"Yeah. Yeah that sounds good to me." Jason dropped his hands from Jaime's hips and stepped back, instead taking his hand. "The rest of you can handle this! Au revoir!"

The two of them grappled abd flew to tge nearest Zeta Tube to get back to Gotham and then back to Jason's apartment to continue the date they were on when they were interrupted.

HELP. GOING ABSOLUTELY FERAL OVER THIS.

Tim and Kon. MI AMOR. BABY GIRL???? KHAJI DA ROASTING JASON. IM- JSJSJS

Okay. It's just a bit worse when the batfamilys around. Jason doesn't plan for it. He doesn't. But it's in his nature to compete. He had to prove his worth since Bruce took him in, why stop now?

No, he's not trying to impress Jaime.

"Little Wing, you literally didn't have to take on those thugs alone."

" He does it cause Jaime's turned on when he gets aggressive."

" I did not!" He yells, throwing a betrayed glance in Duke's way. What happened to loyalty between poets?! " ...Why? Did he say something?"

"Oh my God, --"

I'm not immune to Jaime flying over with Jason's favorite post patrol breakfast, helmet retracting back to reveal a bloody grin and black eye. But his eyes practically sparkle when he sees Jason. " Jay!"

At the very least his siblings feel enough disgusted shame to look away when Jaime locks his legs around Jason's waist, peppering kisses all over his helmet. " Ay, papi, your ribs aren't looking good."

" Tell Khaj to stay out of my business. It's not OUR Injury."

He still hugs Jaime's waist, gentle and careful, even thought he knows his boy's tough and has the scars to prove it. "How about you? You're good, baby boy?"

" I'm always good,"

" We'll see about that..."

Bruce: Dr. Bruce Wayne is a beloved Gotham philanthropist, majority shareholder of Wayne Enterprises, and the sharpest man you'll ever meet. Everything he does is to protect Gotham and honor his parents' legacy. He's had a long string of romances that always seemed like they were going somewhere but never made it to the altar

Dick: Dick Grayson was a circus acrobat whose parents were killed by the mob when he was ten. He was then taken in and adopted by Bruce Wayne. He was an angry kid for a while, became a cop when he grew up and tried to change the system from the inside before Blüdhaven chewed him up and spit him out. He quit the force after the ordeal with Blockbuster and now he's an Olympic athlete/children's gymnastics coach

Jason: same origin as in canon but they just called the police on Ma Gunn. Jason was a happy kid! He graduated with honors and got a degree in nonprofit management. He runs a universal basic income project in Crime Alley and a harm reduction drug center

Cass: instead of the whole child assassin thing, Cass was one of those feral children found living alone in the wilderness at age seventeen. She never meets a magic man who rewires her brain to understand language this time. Cass uses an AAC program on a tablet to communicate. After five years in Gotham, settling in and taking lessons, she successfully auditions for the Gotham City Ballet. She goes on to become the prima ballerina

Tim: Tim was always that kid kinda on the fringes of the Wayne family's circle but then both his parents were tragically killed on a cruise, so Bruce offered to take him in. He knows the kid, after all. Tim goes to summer camp every year and has a tight knit group of friends from it. He graduates school like a normal person while also taking online college classes at night so that he can have a double graduation ceremony, not like a normal person. Eighteen year old CEO of Wayne Enterprises (Drake Industries is now a subsidiary)

Steph: Cass and Tim's bestie! She had a part time gig as the pianist for Cass's first ballet class and that's how they all met. Inseparable now. Steph was working her way through med school. Doc Thompkins is training her to take over the clinic one day when she retires. She did singlehandedly put her father in prison for life by proving he committed his crimes

Duke: lost his parents in a random mugging that Bruce witnessed. He obviously had to take the poor kid in, how could he not? Duke is a good kid, aspiring writer, still in high school but thinking about joining Jason's nonprofit. He gets fav sibling rights

Damian: Damian grew up incredibly privileged and sheltered until he was ten, as the only son and heir apparent of Dr. Talia Head and her many businesses. Bruce was SHOCKED to learn his ex wife lied about losing the baby. Who could've predicted that she would do that given the everything that went down. Anyway Damian acts like a little prince and is prickly and superior at first, but he's got a big heart and he's mellowing out

Hi, I hope you're having a wonderful day!

I saw the fanfiction trope mashup and would like to prompt JayTim, 14. Bodyguard AU and 33. Baby fic.

Tim is a former member of the League of Assassins who takes occasional contract work on the side, mostly when he's bored or the hit is of particular interest (always when it's sticking it to Ra's in some way). So when a query comes his way about hiring him to protect someone instead of killing them, his interest is immediately piqued. When he learns the particulars, that by taking this assignment he'll keep a massive fortune from falling into Ra's's hands, he accepts.

Fast forward him arriving in Gotham for the first time in over a decade where he meets Jason Todd-Wayne, the man he's been hired to protect. Talia al Ghul was the one who pointed Tim in Jason's direction as she has a vested interest in his survival. His entire family has recently died in a horrible car accident that, iight of current circumstances, now looks extremely suspicious. All Jason has left is Alfred and newly arrived baby Damian, who'd been home at the time of the accident. Jason is trying to fend off all the media attacks that he has no legal rights to a fortune like Bruce's. Which is total BS in the eyes of the law and Bruce took steps to make sure his will was iron clad in the event something happened to him.

Talia, who has no love for her father and his machinations, decides the best way to keep Ra's from using Damian to gain the Wayne fortune is to place him with the Waynes. Ra's has retaliated by sending ninja after to take out the competition, starting with Jason who is the public face of WE and the current CEO. Alfred also inherits some of the estate too while Damian had never been written into the will since Bruce didn't have time to change it.

"That's stupid," Tim says when everything has been explained. "At the same time, it's annoyingly convoluted enough to make perfect sense."

Jason presses a soft kiss into baby Damian's downy hair. He looks exhausted. "It's par for the course with the bullshit I have to deal with on a daily basis."

So Tim fends off and foils ninja attacks, makes an all around pest of himself to Ra's to try and draw his attention, and slowly falls in love with Jason Todd-Wayne. The feeling is mutual, though Jason is half convinced it's only the adrenaline of a near escape that has them falling into bed together.

Eventually, after some heroic doings and Jason ripping Tim a new one for the extent he went to actually kill Ra's, they admit their feelings to each other and they live happily ever after (and raise Damian to not be the feral chihuahua we all know and love).

Strange Hybrids Batfam!AU Pt 1

Was this inspired by the copious amounts of otter videos the youtube algorthim decided I needed today? You'll never know. (But yes, yes it was.)

We love Bruce Wayne, but Bruce Wayne is an idiot human who decided to take on a whole herd of half feral hybrid children. His cousin Kate Kane is a black swan hybrid, and for some reason he thought this meant he was Prepared.

Surprise surprise, he was in absolutely no way prepared.

When he goes to the circus he's absolutely floored by the mythos surrounding the Famous Flying Graysons. A family of sea otters who had defied the laws of nature themselves, chosing the leave the water in chase of winds, able to fly without wings. So he stops to see the show, and well. When things happen as they do, he can't just leave their tiny little pup. Otter pups don't do well on their own. He'd already made up his mind, but when he'd heard the pup had been put into Juvie he started pushing extra hard for those papers and processes to go through.

There had been a lot of adjusting. Not only did he have to learn to help Dick groom, swim, and recover from all the stress, but he also had to take into account his circus upbringing. He about had a stroke the first time he caught him hanging from the second floor railings. The next big hurdle was Kate, actually.

In what would become an eternal trend, she took one look at the pup, trumpeted loudly, grabbed him and nyoomed. There have been numerous reports of wild lesbian swan pairings "adopting" cygnets, Bruce would later find out. Usually orphaned cygnets, but sometimes they snatch and grab. Bruce spent a whole three hours chasing down an exhuberant cousin and a playful pup who thought it was all hilarious.

Bruce did not think it was hilarious

He should have realized Jason Todd would be a handful as soon as he recognized the white stripes running through the hair of his would-be tire thief. But badgers are nothing if not cute. Adorable evil geniuses.

The first time Dick and Jason meet, they stared for a good five minutes before making similar furious chirrups. It was then that Bruce learned otters and badgers both belong to the weasel family. It was also then that Bruce learned that while it is essential badger cubs be raised in a group, they split off into a solitary lifestyle very early on. They also don't share well at all.

Jason is a creature of havoc, from his first moments in the manor. When Kate runs off with them he seriously considers not chasing her down. Once she realizes Jason's tendency to start ripping up the couch to burrow, she'll probably return him. Bruce chases him regardless, it took him literally half a second to even think about bc babie

Bruce had never met a beaver kit before Tim, but he was pretty sure Tim was the cutest beaver kit to ever exist. He'd waddle around the manor, slapping his tail and chirruping at Dick to get the older male to groom him, and Bruce was so thankful that these two seemed to do better than his two little weasels. Then his heart ached as he wished he could've had his ornery little cub, because he'd give anything for the little chaos gremlin to be tearing holes into his mattresses now.

Dick had decided to be a complete Richard and not tell his newest little brother that he'd be kit-napped by his enthusiastic new aunt. Bruce and Kate were both nearly given heart attacks when the shy little rodent gave the loudest squeals either of them had ever heard in their lives. Rodents, regardless of size, all have very powerful lungs, as it turns out.

At this point Bruce gave up on the idea of having a nice, put together house. Most of Jason's burrowed furniture had been left as it was, and then when Tim started damming rooms all hope for order was lost. It's only really a problem when he dams the entryway to the batcave, causing Bruce to trip.

Cass is a human, but just as feral as any hybrid he'd ever met.

Kate couldn't catch her to kidnap her. It was a great disappointment to the swan, and she pouted for days. Cass went over on her own eventually anyways though, so it all worked out.

Summary: Reunions are sometimes pretty sweet.

He was out of town when it all went down, but he’d have to be dead again in order to have not heard about ‘Bruce Wayne’s Biologicals Son Coming Out of the Woodwork’ and the whole snafu in Gotham that’d followed. A smile crept its way onto Jason’s face as he entered city limits. If Damian was here, it was likely you weren’t far behind. His little hellion family would be reunited soon enough

First though, he had to reestablish his hold on Crime Ally now that he was back . . .

As fate would have it (or rather, as Oracle’s stalker-like knack for tracking the batfam would have it), Jason found Bruce waiting for him next to his favorite gargoyle right as he was about to call it a night.

“Old man,” he greeted, hand falling to the gun at his hip just in case this turned ugly.

“Jason.”

Wow, my real name. He’s gotta be freaking out more than I thought.

“Come by the manor tomorrow. You need to meet your brother.”

“Why? Tim not up to it?” Jason’s mouth was running despite the fact that he was definitely going to be there. “Or did the brat already get Dickhead to back off? I heard he’s feral even compared to me.”

Bruce’s jaw clenched, bringing a smile to Jason’s covered face. “He wants to meet you.”

“He looked you up after he hacked into the Batcomputer,” Barbara’s voice came through the helmet’s speakers before Jason could voice his confusion.

“First a kid steals your tires, now one breaks into your super-secret files. What kind of riff-raff are you letting into the manor these days, Brucie?”

“Dinner. Tomorrow. Be there.”

Jason snickered at the tightness of Batman’s voice as the caped vigilante dove into the night. “Fucking tool,” he muttered to the empty air.

“You really shouldn’t antagonize him, Hood.”

“And you really need to get off my comms before I have Roy download all sorts of horse porn onto your rig.”

There was a quiet chuckle. “Missed you too, Jason.”

Right. Now to bed.

He’s taller, was all Jason could think as he stepped into the cave and laid on the boy he’d helped raise for years that was now standing right in front of him. The change in height hadn’t changed the kid, though, based on the tense excitement that had Damian practically vibrating.

A flicker of movement to the side--Bruce skulking about--gave Jason pause. As subtle as he could, he shook his head and zipped through the League Sign Language for, “Safehouse. Tonight.”

Outwardly, Damian didn’t acknowledge him, but a veil of false calm dropped over the boy, stilling his movements. Talia would be proud. “You must be the dead one,” his lightly-accented voice greeted coldly.

They must be trying to hide his real heritage, thought Jason in response to that smothered accent. Shame. “Bold talk from a kid that had to be moved to fucking Gotham of all places for protection.”

“Boys!” Bruce’s bark announced his arrival into earshot.

“Oh relax, Brucie,” Jason soothed sarcastically with an easy smile as he ruffled his adopted son’s hair, much to the kid’s mock-disdain. “We’re just messin’ around.”

“Still. Enough. Both of you get upstairs; your brothers are waiting for you.”

“Oh joy. The mean Robins get to meet with the happy one and the depressed one.”

“Damian isn’t Robin.”

“Not yet,” Damian snapped. “It’s my right as--”

“You’re not doing anything until you learn to follow the Rule.”

Damian’s silence spoke volumes about his thoughts on that Rule.

Jason was on the roof of his apartment building waiting for Damian come midnight that same night. He had no doubt the kid could slip through any defenses Bruce had constructed with the intent to cage him, and Jason had slid a note with the address into his pocket earlier. Now it was just a matter of--Nevermind. Speak of the Devil.

The kid stumbled during his landing because of the obvious excitement that coursed through him. “Baba!” he shouted as he tackled Jason in a tight hug.

“Hey, Dami,” Jason greeted, the first genuine smile he’d had in months blooming on his face. “It’s been a while.”

“Whose fault is that, asshole?” the kid snapped even though he didn’t loosen his grip in the slightest.

A chuckle bubbled up from Jason’s chest. “Your mama would be pissed if she heard you talkin’ like that.”

“Yeah, pissed at you.” His face was still buried in Jason’s stomach due to the hug. Not that Jason wanted to let him go any time soon.

“Good point,” he admitted.

Those big, green eyes--so similar to the Pit without him having to take a dip in it--turned to look up at him. “Why didn’t you want Father to know we’ve met before?”

“Neither am I, and as far as I’m concerned, you’re still my kid. God knows it’d kill Bruce to show anyone any affection, so someone’s gotta treat you right.”

If possible, the hug got tighter. “I’ve read his files on you, and I won’t ask why Father doesn’t like you.”

Damn if the kid wasn’t freakishly perceptive, because Jason had been dreading answering that question. Because I’m not Dick, because I’m a street rat to the core, because I think for myself instead of blindly following his orders, because I’m too angry, because I got myself blown the fuck up--

“But know that I also don’t care. You and mama were there for me.” Damian didn’t bother to add ‘when no one else was.’

“Love you too, Dami. This place will always be here if you want to get away from the manor . . . or just want to see me.”

“Thank you, Baba.”

Now, Jason crouched so he could meet Damian eye-to-eye. “And don’t worry about your Mama.” The kid looked away abruptly as if he’d been caught. Jason gently directed Damian’s attention back to his face so he could see just how serious Jason was. “My friends are already looking for her. We’re going to find her.”

The kid scoffed despite the relief scrawled all over his face. “As if you could if she didn’t want you to.”

Jason barked a laugh. “True, but both of us are here now. Do you really think she’d want to stay away?”

“ . . . No.”

Good, ‘cause she showed up earlier tonight, and now I just need to convince her that you won’t reject her.
