- you got up as the music started to play in the background, moving to the side of the table and sensually moving to the beat while the audience watched intently

- you carefully moved your hips, hitting all the right beats

- this wasn’t any different than dancing in front of the camera people, plus you had to get used to an audience

- it also wasn’t any different from how you had to dance to kpop songs from when you were younger for your family!!

- (no, literally. the amount of times i had to dance to 2NE1’s i am the best, girls generation’s gee, and wonder girls’ nobody. the dances are engraved in my head. 6 year old giri had to dance or else)

- as the song faded out, you held your pose before bowing, smiling at the little boy who continued to hype you up

- “holy fuck.. dabi that was hot” hawks whispered, tightening his grip around his friends sleeve

- “jeez kei, ease up a bit” dabi complained, prying his friends hand off of him

- “oh my god she’s such a great dancer, do you think she’ll like me if i learn how to dance too?” he questioned, grabbing his friend by the front of his shirt, pissing dabi off once more

- you had taken inspiration from the time where you had left your hotel at dawn and walked around the streets of tokyo, sitting near a bridge and writing lyrics for some of the songs in the album

- hence the name of the album

- most of your album was written in japan

- hawks felt himself get more excited as he came closer to you, holding tightly to the fabric of his friends jacket, which wouldn’t surely gotten him slapped if you weren’t so near

- before he knew it, he was already next in line, dabi already sitting in front of your figure while holding your soft, delicate looking hand in his large ugly ones

- this made hawks’ chest bubble with jealousy

- it was now his turn, he walked up the stairs with his wobbly knees, wanting to just sit and be near you

- he swiftly, but gently grasped your hand, before placing it on his cheek, letting you hold the soft chub of his cheek

- no fan had been this brave to do this. it was quite surprising to be honest

- he wasn’t breaking any rules so you decided to fuck it and go with it

- you placed both your hands on his cheeks, slightly squishing them together, causing him to adorably pout

- you laughed before letting go of his face, bringing your hands back to your side of the table

- “you’re so cute! can i sign your album for you?” you smiled, tilting your head to the side

seonghwa had came home to you hidden under your covers as you watched the television on almost max volume, the curtains fully closed.

"love, isn't it a little too loud?" he had covered his own ears from how deafening it was and he had to pretty much yell for you to hear him. you paused the show when you took notice of him, quickly apologising as you tried to explain yourself when you saw another flash of lightning through the curtains. you slapped your two hands over your ears and squeezed your eyes shut, bracing yourself for the loud ripping sound from the sky.

seonghwa sat himself next to you and pulled you into his embrace, cupping your cheeks so that you would look at him. "love, do you trust me?" you nodded as you slowly opened your eyes.

seonghwa turned the television off and gently pried your hands away from your ears, letting your hands rest on the sides of his thighs. "let's be a little kinder to your ears, alright?" he leaned in closer and whispered into your ears. "do you want to tell me about your day or shall i go first?"

basically mars asmr but live, and when you do get surprised by the thunder, he would shush you affectionately and comfort you, continuing on about his day.

"can i hide in here for a little while?" you had peeked into his studio to see that he was just monitoring his past performances through fancams, surely you wouldn't be a distraction.

"from what?" he paused his video and whipped his head back to ask, confused. you were supposed to be at the dance studio, helping wooyoung and yunho check their choreography even if you weren't that experienced in dance.

"the thunderstorm, your studio is the only place where i can neither see nor hear anything so..." ah, he had no idea there was a thunderstorm outside. if he was he would have rushed over to you immediately, knowing just how afraid you can get.

"sure babe, make yourself comfortable." hongjoong would then turn on the ambience lighting to a dark blue and play some really soothing classical music, hoping that it would calm you down and take your mind away from the ongoing thunderstorm. when he sees that you were still a little frightened from earlier on, he drapes his warm jacket over you, "don't worry, you're safe here." he would also go to the kitchen to make a cup of warm tea for you to calm you down.

⭒❃.✮:▹ yunho

yunho loves thunderstorms, and he loves sitting by the window and staring out as the flashes of electricity branch out like veins in the sky, so full of life. that's what scares you the most, you know the extent of damage lightning can cause having lived in houses without good lightning protection systems.

"don't sit too near to the windows, you might get hurt!" you warned for the umpteenth time but your boyfriend refused to listen, saying that it would never happen.

"this apartment is safe, i promise," yunho reassured you, even gesturing for you to come join him over there. he wasn't going to force you if you still refused after the third time he asked but you decided to go. you've been trying to get over your fear of thunderstorms anyways.

he would wrap his arms around your waist and let you rest your head on his chest so that you could hear his calm steady heartbeats. the both of you sat at the windows watching the lightning and thunder with you burying your face into the crook of his neck often and him giving you long pats on your back to calm you down. you definitely did get less afraid of thunderstorms, though not much, but it's something.

"if the thunderstorm is ever mean to you, let me know. i'll personally throw hands at zeus."

yeosang had fallen asleep on the couch when it started raining heavily along with non-stop thunder and lightning. you were extremely afraid but you had to close the windows yourself, you didn't want to wake yeosang up from his nap.

you were just about to close the one in the living room where yeosang was when the deafening sound of a thunder took you by surprise, causing you to shriek out loud in fear. being a light sleeper, yeosang jolted awake, surprised and worried. it absolutely broke his heart to see you crouched on the floor with your hands covering your ears, your shoulders shaking as you sobbed.

you felt so weak crying over a thunderstorm but yeosang made sure to let you know that there was nothing wrong with it. he gently guided you onto the couch where he would let you continue crying on his shoulder, his fingers intertwining with yours to let you know that he's there for you as he tries to help you control your breathing. "you're okay, you're okay. follow my breathing, love."

⭒❃.✮:▹ san

if you weren't afraid of thunderstorms, you probably wouldn't be sitting on yunho's gaming seat right now with san yelling at you over the headset to support him in the game. you weren't one to play games but as san says, "you won't be scared if you distract yourself"

it usually works, though the games do leave you feeling kind of nauseous from all the motion and lights, but today, the thunderstorm was simply on another level. the lightning had lit up the whole room with a bright white flash for a good three seconds before leaving you in a room that seemed much brighter a few moments ago.

san is not stupid, he knows playing games would not distract you this time round so he would quit the game and drag you onto the bed , letting you bury your face in his chest as he hums the tune of your favourite song.

when you told him that you were ashamed to be afraid of something many people aren't, he would shush you and say, "it's normal, everyone has their irrational fears. besides, that lightning really scared the life out of me too."

he knew about your fear of thunderstorms, and he always makes an effort to check the weather forecast on your behalf since he had googled it before and they said people who fear thunderstorms should try to refrain from doing so in case it makes them even more anxious. anyways, so he does it for you and prepares everything that you might need when it happens.

the both of you were in the car when the thunderstorm started, and being well prepared, he quickly handed you the small thin blanket and the bottle of water he kept at the backseats. there was no better place than under the sheets at home but this was better than nothing at all.

once the both of you got home, he would make sure to run a warm bath for you and might even accompany you in it. the fear had caused all your muscles to tense up and he made it a point to relieve all of them. in the meanwhile, he would comfort you by saying things like "im so proud of you." and "the next time a thunderstorm happens, remember how you are totally fine today, okay? think, thunderstorms are relatively harmless, you'll be fine this time too."

⭒❃.✮:▹ wooyoung

it was in the middle of the night when the thunderstorm started, the loud booming of the thunder startling you awake. you tried to go back to sleep, hoping that this moment would just pass and that you would wake up to a nice weather. but even with wooyoung by your side, you couldn't seem to be at ease enough to sleep.

"wooyoung, please wake up." that was your tenth attempt, unsurprisingly considering the fact that he sleeps like a dead log. thankfully he does, and very much apologetically when he notices the shitshow that was going on outside. even he was surprised he slept through the noise.

he would immediately drag himself out of bed to turn on the lights so that the lightning wouldn't seem as bad, also going out to the kitchen to pour you a glass of warm water. it always helped.

when the both of you were back in bed, wooyoung would rest against the headboard as you laid your head on his abdomen, him patting your shoulder affectionately until you fell asleep again.

"there's another thunderstorm going on inside your stomach," you joked with a faint smile as you snuggled closer into him.

"hey! if you're going to say that, go away."

the both of you were stranded outdoors as the thunderstorm has started unexpectedly while the two of you were taking a stroll in the park. the weather forecast did not foresee this. it was dangerous and very annoying to get soaked in rain, but everything was made worse because you were afraid of thunderstorms. you had no idea why, it was just the case.

"there's a shelter nearby, shall we make a dash for it?" jongho asked as the both of you sought temporary shelter from a tall tree.

"the lightning is a little crazy now though....." it was, but being under a huge tree on such a day wasn't the smartest idea at all, and it would be much better if you could go to a real shelter.

"you know i'm quite a lucky guy, right?" jongho would give you a piggyback as he ran, allowing you to close your eyes so that you wouldn't see the flashes of lightning. he would also tell you to put on earphones and play some soothing music. "it'll be over quick, just hang on in there for a little while."

serim:

while waiting for serim to finish his game, you decided to watch some videos on youtube to kill time. the first video on your suggested was an allen fancam and being the supportive cravity fan that you are, you put it on. serim could just hear the song and he smiled secretly while facing his PC, he was so happy you liked their music. he stopped his game early just to come and cuddle you for being so cute since you were watching their stuff when he realised what you were actually watching. he pulled back from the hug he was about to give you and sat for a second, contemplating his next move. he wasn’t sure if being jealous was justified right now, but he was. he pouted visibly, rolling over to not face you on his bed and so you asked him what was wrong.

“that’s an allen fancam” he stared as if you didn’t know. “but i’m your boyfriend, you should only focus on me”. he was acting so childish you didn’t even know if he meant it, and to be honest neither did he.

you stopped the video and went to your history, where lots of serim fancams sat. you flung your arm around his chest and showed him your phone with all the videos of him on it, laughing into his ear. “see, idiot, i do watch your stuff” you kissed his cheek “and anyway, why would i watch you when you’re sat right in front of me?”

allen:

“last night, i had a really weird dream” you said while sitting opposite your boyfriend allen. he looked up from his breakfast and indicated for you to tell him what happened.

“well there were these weird robots around and it was terrifying” your hands were flying around everywhere as you got deeper into the story. “but luckily, jungmo was there and he saved me” you smiled and finally put a spoonful of cereal into your mouth, suggesting that you had finished.

“that’s cool,” allen said, no emotion in his voice. he went back to eating in silence. a few minutes passed before he looked up at you again. “why wasn’t i there to save you?” he pouted a little.

you thought for a bit, you weren’t really sure why. he went back to his silent eating, knowing that you had no valid answer. he couldn’t help but be jealous at that time, why wasn’t he the good guy in your dream, why did it have to be jungmo?

later that morning he realised how childish and silly it was for him to get jealous and the silent treatment finally came to an end. he found you wherever you were and kissed you on the cheek, following it up with a sincere apology for his reaction.

jungmo:

he knew you had a soft spot for seongmin, he did too, that wasn’t a secret either. you were spending this halloween with jungmo and his friends. usually you spent it with your younger siblings yet they felt “too old” to go out trick or treating yet “too young” to go to parties. the boys decided to have a small party, with you and some of their close friends invited. you were already changed in your cute carrot costume (that matched with jungmo’s pea costume) when you arrived, greeted at the door by seongmin, who was also in his costume, of course it was a bunny. it took way too long for the pair of you to realise the connection between your costumes but when you did, you pair wouldn’t shut up about it.

“jungmo, look, a bunny and a carrot!!” seongmin exclaimed, excitement clear in his voice.

“aha cute” he said with a gentle smile. he didn’t want to ruin your excitement so he chose to somewhat play along. you expected him to find it funnier and so you questioned him about it when you were alone later that evening.

“what was that all about?” you asked to which he looked at you in bewilderment “aha cute” you mimicked him.

“your costume goes with mine not his” he said sternly “what was the point in us two matching if you’re just going around telling people you pair have the matching outfits? i’m in a pea costume for goodness sake, you think i wanted to be a pea?” he seemed really worked up about it but looking at his reflection in the mirror of his room made him laugh which was a relieving sight for you.

“please stop telling people about your matching costumes, i wanna make this ridiculous look worthwhile” he pleaded, less angrily this time.

woobin:

you were absolutely drenched from an impromptu water fight that lasted pretty much the whole evening. since you didn’t bring any spare clothes with you, woobin said you could grab his t-shirt from the drying rack back at the dorms. when you and your boyfriend got there, he went to his room to give you some privacy while you changed. when you told him you were decent, he came out and saw you stood there in a massive oversized pink t-shirt, minhee’s massive oversized pink t-shirt.

“do you like it, i think it suits me,” you said jokingly while modelling it for your boyfriend. his face said absolutely not, not the reaction you expected to be honest.

“i’m not sure. i don’t think that shirt is for you.” he said without thinking. “can you change? i’m a little uncomfortable''. you had no idea what he was talking about, you thought maybe you stepped out of line. he went back to his room while you changed, putting on a hoodie that you knew was his. meanwhile, what he'd just said hit woobin like a tonne of bricks. he rushed back out (luckily you were dressed enough) “i was uncomfortable because it was minhee’s, not because you didn’t look good. my jealousy took over my mouth, i’m sorry!!” he stopped and looked you up and down “although you do look better in my clothes” he confessed.

wonjin:

“can i get my cardigan back? i forgot about my interview today” you text him. “sure, it’s in my room on my bed” he replied almost immediately. he was practicing while some of the others slept but you had a key anyway. you let yourself in and went to his room, knocking and entering hoping not to disturb his roommates if they were in there. you began searching through the thousands of clothes wonjin had thrown all over his bed, getting startled when woobin came in. “can i help you, y/n?” he inquired, standing at the doorway. you told him about your cardigan and he began to look with you, although you weren’t really looking, too busy laughing with each other. you never really knew how funny woobin was given that the only time you saw him was at the dorms, and then he was always busy, but he made you laugh until your sides hurt this particular morning. you finally found the cardigan about 10 minutes later, and tidied the room together like the good people you are.

the front door to the dorms shut and you heard around 4 of the boys scurrying around to get some water. you and woobin both stepped out of the room to see what the kerfuffle was when you saw wonjin looking a little down. you went over and discreetly asked him what's wrong.

“i made them leave early and rush over here so i could help you look. i didn’t realise you already had assistance” he pointed at woobin who was oblivious to what was going on. “i wanted to help you look. not anyone else” a big pout was present on his face.

minhee:

“y/n~” minhee started. you knew when he started a sentence with your name that the question was going to be one that he wanted a specific answer to. “who was your first bias in cravity?” he asked expectedly. you sat and thought for a while. you didn’t know whether to tell him the truth or tease him for a bit. you opted for the latter because why not!?

“serim” you said confidently. he looked around to see if serim was anywhere nearby before going on to jokingly insult him.

“that guy? the guy who’s like 4cm tall? you must be joking me right?” he started to argue. he didn’t pick up on your teasing and started to get quite defensive. “you know i was in cravity from day 1 right? your boyfriend? do you remember me? i was almost the leader, you know?”

as much as he tried to continue with a joking tone, he was actually a little hurt inside, and he didn’t really hide it well. he’d stutter every once in a while and his impulsive way of talking was unusual for him. you knew you should put him out of his misery right away.

“i’m joking. it was actually you!” you hit his arm while saying so.

if looks could kill you’d have been out cold in that moment. “i really thought your favourite was serim for a second then, not that i was sad or close to tears or anything, i’m not bothered, but, wow you really did that to me?”

hyeongjun:

”who’s that?” hyeongjun asked while you scrolled through your saved posts on instagram, trying to find the meme you wanted to show him.

you scrolled back up to locate the picture he was talking about. “it’s taeyoung, he literally posted this yesterday” you clarified, tapping it to show him.

he looked at you with his puppy eyes and stuck his bottom lip out “why have you saved a photo of him?”

“uhh” you didn’t want to tell him the truth and expose taeyoung but you felt like you had to at the time “he wanted me to subtly show my friend because he really likes them and he wants them to think he’s cute… i guess” you answered honestly.

hyeongjun let out a huge sigh of relief, he didn’t fully take in what you said but he knew you didn’t save it because you thought he was cute. he never knew he could get so jealous before now, but there was something about seeing another boy in your saved pictures that he just really did not like.

“i really want them to get together to be honest, i think they would look good together, don’t you?” you showed him a photo of your friend who he’d met on multiple occasions.

“huh?” he asked in bewilderment, he really wasn’t listening to your explanation...

taeyoung:

you were sat drawing at your desk in your room while your boyfriend, taeyoung, sat and played his game on your bed. your incoming call did not gain his attention yet the familiar male voice did once you’d answered it.

“who?” he asked quietly, trying to not interrupt your call.

“wonjin” you whispered back to him.

he relaxed himself back onto the bed, yet he was anything but relaxed. what did wonjin want? why didn’t he just call him, he knew you were together. his face didn’t hide his jealousy either, even when you put the phone down.

“what is it” you asked, noticing his disgruntled face.

“why did he call you?” he asked, “seems a little secretive to me” he jumped straight to conclusions. he sat up once again, waiting for an answer.

“it’s not like that and you know it,” you said in response to his outrageous accusation. “if you’re going to be like that, why don’t you just leave” you said in an even pettier tone than his.

“i don’t want to leave” by now, the argument had clearly turned into a joke as his initial jealousy had disappeared.

“good” you said in a sarcastically stern voice.

“good” he replied in the same manner, putting his game away and opening his arms for you to hug him.

seongmin:

the boys and some trainees were all sitting in a circle when you arrived with some take out food. there was a clear space between hyeongjun and his friend so you sat there after placing the food in the middle of the circle. seongmin felt a little hurt but he understood why you did that, despite his efforts to force the others to make space for you in your absence. what didn’t sit right however was when he looked up and saw hyeongjun feeding you a piece of food. he attempted to stay quiet, which was successful for about 3 seconds.

“hey” he shouted over to you pair while trying not to cause a scene “what are you doing?” he questioned. he was a little mad, but he still sounded cute.

“y/n wanted a try of my food but i knew they’d take it all without me feeding it to them” hyeongjun jokes. “pig” he said in an unmistakably sarcastic tone while looking at you.

seongmin appreciated the sarcastic comment yet didn’t appreciate the clear flirting hyeongjun was doing. “y/n, you can sit here, jungmo will move, won’t you?” his eyes burning into jungmo’s soul.

you couldn’t not go and sit next to him and he spent the rest of the evening giving hyeongjun the evils.

Warm Hugs from Bangtan

From the title itself, here are some bts songs that just resonated to me and feels like a warm hug every time I listen to it. (BTS song appreciation # 1)

SPRING DAY

When I first saw the music video of Spring Day, I was so amazed how cinematic and beautiful it looked. Every scene was just beautiful. They also referenced some books and movies in the music video like a friend of mine mentioned this to me that they referenced Snowpiercer, which was also mentioned in the lyrics (Namjoon’s line) and “the Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas” which is a short story by Ursula K. Le Guin. What I also love about the song, aside from the mv, is definitely the lyrics. Not going to lie, this is one of the most poetic song I have ever listened. The melody even added that feeling of nostalgia to it. This song clenches my heart but at the same time gives me hope, hoping that these lonely days of “winter” will soon turn into a “spring day”, to reunite with the people whom we missed so much.

2! 3! (Still wishing for more good days)

This is BTS’ first official fan song. Although, they had songs before that was also for ARMY, this song in particular is a message for their fans that only both BTS and ARMY can ever understand. When I saw fancams of this song from the Wings Tour, especially here in my home country, where fans just sing-along to the song, the beautiful intro, and the way Bangtan just sings the song, I just felt it. I felt what they are trying to tell us, even if I do not understand what they are singing word for word. It felt like they were reaching out for our hands wanting to say “It’s okay. Just let it out, let all the pain out. It’s okay. We’re here” Whether it is them reaching out for us or us reaching out for them. It just means so much to me not only because it is a fan song but it just shows how strong their bond is with their fans. BTS went through a lot in their early debut or even 3 years into their career and ARMYs saw that or witnessed for those who are veteran ARMYs already. With this song, it talks about their struggles and obstacles that they had to face in past. Although it is impossible to undo or change the past, we just had to keep going hoping for better days. Just count one, two, three, hoping for more good days.

Tomorrow

Whenever I feel hopeless, I listen to this song. This song means so much to me. I never regretted digging deeper into the lyrics of this song (or any bangtan songs). When I first listened to Tomorrow, I was in my stage as a Teenager who is having a life crisis. There were a lot of questions like “Is this the right decisions?” “Am I doing the right thing?” “Am I on the right path?”. So many questions to the point it felt suffocating. I am not even sure if path I am going through is the the right one since not a lot of people go through this. Yes, life is never a race, it’s okay to take it on your own pace but I also fear of getting behind. Too behind to be exact. But even if your days becomes like a routine, never stop chasing for your dreams, aim for your goals and never run backwards, ever. Lines like “This isn’t a stop but just a pause in your life for a break. Turn up your thumbs and press play so everyone can see”, like I personally was worried before that I cannot keep up with everyone’s pace. It was overwhelming but just like the lyrics says, it is just a pause and once you will press play again, you will be able to get back on track. “The dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest”, as one line of the lyrics. So even if you have gone through a bad experience, there is always hope on the way.

Magic Shop

This song just means a lot. to me, and to the whole fandom. This song is BTS’ second official fan song that just touch the heart of many. BTS and ARMY have this strong bond. ARMY would write long letters or posts in their fancafe, sharing how their day went or thanking BTS for helping them with their struggles. BTS’ response? Well they do reply to the fans under the post but they also reply through a song. Music is this strong instrument that can help heal and give comfort to the listeners. I recall from a fan meet, Jungkook asked Namjoon how they’ll put their love in the bag (ARMYs heart) and Joon answered through a song which never failed to. Their songs, with different messages, indeed resonated and helped us in some way. Here, they are telling us that when there are days when we just hate ourselves or want to disappear, just enter the magic shop and it will comfort you. In the magic shop, it could be them, their music, contents, or anything that makes you feel better and this song just has never failed to comfort me.

Mikrokosmos

I never thought I have found the answer of why I am deeply mesmerized by city lights. They are telling us that each light has their own stories, like some lights are ambition, some are rebellion. All of people’s lights are precious and together we light up the whole world. Even if we are just a small beings, your existence matter. You matter. Also, during the time when this song was released, I just thought I was unlucky or that I just don’t matter, not until I listened to this song and read the lyrics. If you thought I cried, yup. I did. Really. So every time I listen to this song, I am reminded by the significance of our existence and how the city light’s can tell a story.

All of these songs just resonated to me so much. This is not even half or even close to the whole bts discorgraphy. Bangtan has a very diverse discography to the point, whichever mood you are having right now, there is this particular song that you can instantly connect with.

my experience at a Super M concert :)

Y’all I saw Super M in Vancouver this Thursday and my eyes and ears were BLESSED! IDK how to describe it, but Kai is even more Kai in person. Like his dancing is 100x harder than what you see on screen, and his proportions...OMG HIS PROPORTIONS. I used to think his Jopping outfit did him dirty but seeing it in real life...WOW HIS LEGS ARE SO LONG BUT HIS TORSO BALANCES EVERYTHING OUT PERFECTLY. Like when I see Ten or Taeyong, I’m like “damn they are pretty skinny” and Lucas is like BUILT for a kpop boy, but Kai is like peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerfectly inbetween!!!! I could not take my eyes off of him during the group numbers (except during times like when Taeyong was grinding on the floor during No Manners fkjaldhalfjds) because he’s just soooo beautiful and his movements are sooooo expressive and purposeful and I just CAN’T.

I have been a Kai stan since 2012 and missed the chance to see the EXO concert in New Jersey so I had to make it to Super M. No regrets travelling across the country for it :’) I just wish he had more performance time LOL everyone had a solo stage but his was at the veryyyyy end and you can kinda see that he’s a little bored lol or maybe I’m just projecting LOL Also omgggg his solo (side note: CONFESSION SHOOK ME UP EVEN THOUGH I BARELY WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE BECAUSE the choreo is kinda boring ngl) is at the end and then he has to run and change to do No Manners and then get all cute for With You AND HE LOOKED SOOOO TIRED. He kept doing that thing where he has his hands on his knees (me when my anemia catches up to me lol) when the other members aren’t looking BUT THEY NOTICED and I think they were a little worried but they couldn’t show it so they just kept patting him on the back. Like right when With You began, Kai stands between Mark and Lucas and they’re both like “o_o u ok?” and he just waves it off and i’m like “OMG HE’S NOT OK” from across the stadium LOOOL He kept trying to be cute for the number, but he still hadn’t recovered even for the commentary section after ;__; he had asked backstage for a water but nobody noticed djkalhgdkalfjdskl I’m so sad.

Then he took a towel/napkin from the front of the stage and started wiping down his shirt with it and I forgot about being sad lol

ANYWAY they had to perform Jopping right after that and I was genuinely worried because he looked soooooo tired but he still went hard during Jopping. Like....I was shocked LOL He was so fine LMAO.

I would love to post videos of my commentary during the concert because they’re hilarious but it’s just me going “OMG WOW WOW WOOOOOW OMG AHHHH WOW HE’S SO HOT WHAT THE FUUUUCK”

OK about the other members:

Ten is literally an anime boy! They drew his eyebrows soooooo sharply for the show and during his solo, he literally looked like a hot anime villain like wOW. And his dancing!!!! He’s soooo strong but flow-y and everything looks easy but difficult at the same time LOL he was the member that often diverted my attention away from Kai because sometimes Ten would do some next level shit and my brain’s like “WHAT was that.”

Taeyong....he’s the sweetest thing omg He did a hard rap solo stage and then comes out and says shit like “Vancouver, you are so beautiful...like Mark!...You are so hot...like Mark!” He’s PRECIOUS with his English. He tries soooo hard and I feel like all he wants to do is make people happy ;__; i wuv him

Mark IS HILARIOUSLY AWKWARD. And he just runs with it! Sometimes he’ll make accidental innuendos with his words (he wouldn’t stop talking about how much time he and the members spent in a ~spa~ like bitch he LOVED that spa) and when he realizes he’s being awkward, he just tapers off his sentences and hopes nobody realizes but THE WHOLE STADIUM REALIZES and it doesn’t matter that he’s speaking in Korean because his members all know when he’s said something awkward LOL my whole son.

Lucas WOW LUCAS IS WHAT I ASPIRE TO BE IF I WERE A BOY. He’s really goodlooking (as we all know) but he’s just soooo funny with the shit that he does. I’m sure there are fancams of his solo stage (Go Boom??) online but I had never watched them and I was SHOCKED by how fun it was. I loooove that he doesn’t go for the sexy or hard concept because he’s sooooooo fun and cute and entertaining when he’s just being himself T____T Please go watch his solo stage online and cry at the video playing behind him. He’s SOOO cute.

Taemin..............Taemin taemin teaalfdklah WHAT THE FUCK. SHINee was what got me into kpop when they came out with ring ding dong and I fell in looooooooooooove with Jonghyun and his blond hair lol But Taemin!?!?! What?!?!?! So the concert starts off with I Can’t Stand the Rain and then Taemin does his solos.......that’s like almost 15min straight dancing/singing HARD. And then they do a bit of talking and his voice is so different! Like I knew it was different but hearing it in real life?!! wow

MY BOY BAEKHYUN I LOVE HIM WOW. I thought they would lipsync a bunch of their songs because hello it’s tiring af BUT BYUN BAEKHYUN SHOCKED ME WHEN HE DID HIS HIGH NOTES AND YOU COULD SEE HIS VEINS ON THE SCREEN JFKALHGKLSJFKDLS And he’s sooooo cute and cheesy and his voice during UN Village omggggggggggggggggg I’m soooo glad I got to hear it live ;____; I’m just a little sad that nobody really does fanchants around here other than singing along to the song because when there are those silent beats during UN Village, nobody did “BAEK-HYUN-NIE” and it just felt awkward to me and I was so sad screaming it by myself LOL

ANYWAY the show was a short 1.5hrs where we stood the ENTIRE TIME even though we all had seats -_- Jopping came on in the beginning as the background to an intro vid and everyone was shook so we all stood up...AND THEN NOBODY SAT BACK DOWN FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE SHOW LOOOL The boys are soooooo energetic and I can’t believe they do this every two days while hopping on and off a bunch of planes/buses (they bussed to vancouver from seattle T_T) Watching them honestly makes me fear that they’re going to collapse after every set because THAT’S HOW I FEEL LOL

The concert was such an amazing experience and I hope everyone loves these boys forever and ever because they deserve it T____T

i actually went wild about the choreo when it came out so i guess this is a good opportunity to re-evaluate now that i’m calm LOL. thoughts below the cut!

to sort of premise my thoughts on the dance, i want to say that i really think fiesta set a new standard for gg dances. most of the time, gg dances that are praised are honestly not tHAT interesting to me… not to say that their work is for naught, but as someone who has seen a lot of dances of different levels, gg dances tend to fall flat in choreography and execution. ggs are usually not taught to use grooves or textures as basics, and companies dont want to spend effort teaching them to do so. then they are restricted to choosing choreographers that tend to make choreographies with “arms and legs”, and barely any torso movement besides basic body rolls or chest rolls. on top of that, they are usually given restricted outfits that make the dancing even more underwhelming for me and then i just prefer bgs for dance :( to be honest, even recent gg dances that people have been wowed at have not really been… that interesting for me either because of execution or choreography or both, but i dont want to mention them because i dont want to disregard the work of any idols! i respect them all and hope you will just take my word for it haha

i just watched the dance practice again and honestly the first thing that i think of is that the choreographers really put a lot of time and effort into this. usually to keep things dynamic, i try to change formations every 8-16 counts in a competitive set. this isnt usually something you see in kpop, but the choreographers had a lot of formation changes going on every 8 counts, and most of them werent just simple center or window changes… very nice. the use of stage was nice as well, and varying the number of members on stage at once is a good way to keep things dynamic. there are also points in the choreography that match the lyrics with movements that would normally be cheesy, but it ended up not being cheesy because the formations were so nice e.g. yujin’s first line using a waking up gesture, but having the other girls do level changes and fan their arms out… i enjoy that a lot

another thing i want to comment on about the choreography that is kind of rare to see in gg dances is the use of textures and how the musicality changes. to understand this, the intro is a good example. if you really listen to the music and match it with the choreography, you can tell that the choreographers try to follow a different instrument every 4-8 counts, and this is something i really value and look for as a choreographer. the choreography for fiesta isn’t just a simple one that follows an 8 count strictly (e.g. one that would probably look fine to any song as long as you follow the beat), and i appreciate that a lot

at the same time, izone gets equal credit, because theyre able to see it and interpret the choreography in relation to the music, showing that they have understanding and appreciation of textures and musicality in dance. i think this can be attributed to chaeyeon eunbi and yena and this is an asset in making a dance performance interesting

the only feedback i have about the choreography is that the formations are usually centered and the girls are usually brought up one by one either by walking up or being hidden behind a member that goes down when it is their part. it would be a lot more interesting if the attention was moved around with more variety, like having the attention move from one side of the stage to another. when done well this could be very interesting. the only place i see this happen is minju’s part at the beginning of the bridge

moving away from choreography, and before i talk about the girls, i just want to mention that i feel the stylists are very mindful about izone’s mobility while dancing this comeback. the outfits are generally easy to move in, and the part that stands out to me the most is the shoes. in the comeback show, they were wearing boots, which are easier to dance in than other shoes that ggs usually wear. in the other stages where the stylists have them wear heels, those are the best heels you can wear for dancing lol (boot heels). a lot of dancers i know who have to dance in heels use boot heels because those are the most comfortable to dance in, and give proper ankle support to keep you safe. i also found that the outfits from the comeback show (although many people thought they werent flattering for the girls individually) worked really well with the dance, like when the camerawork showed an arial view

ok now for izone

i think for this comeback, my favourite member to watch is yena. this choreography has a lot more musical complexity this time around, and i think this is yenas greatest strength. to kind of show what i mean, i watch yenas fancam and see how well you can hear the music from her movements, and then watch another member, and it just doesnt match the same. (but also i have a weird thing where i can basically “hear” when someone moves, so it might be a personal thing lol. try it out anyway!).

another person i notice is eunbi. normally the choreography and concept is softer or cuter, so eunbi hasnt really been able to show off her strength, but there are parts in this choreo that let eunbi really go off and it feels like she literally slaps me in the face when she hits lol. good example of this is in the comeback show at her last part… that hip hit… i actually felt like she punched me lol… thats when i realized that eunbi could beat me up in an instant she is so strong lol…

other things i noticed… hitomi sakura and nako’s musicality has improved, yujin is learning to dance as a tall person (match your levels with shorter people… it’s a skill LOL), hyewon and nako are learning to put more strength in their movements (my heart flipped when i saw), and izone is really unified when they are in good condition. i say good condition because idk about you, but in the first week of their performances, watching them made me feel kind of uneasy. i could feel their anxiousness from the way they moved and from the looks in their eyes and i could eunbi being dizzy and losing balance and it made me sad… esp compared to comeback show. in comeback show, you can see that they have the same fire in their eyes, that they really are performing as one, and thats honestly what you want to aim for when you are dancing as a group

but for the show, izone really hit different… the fire was coming back and i watched it like ten times… i think the best part is seeing the fire in the eyes of members you dont really see it from, like minju and nako. not to say that they dont perform well because this isnt what i mean at all, but their intensity and focus made me feel their genuine effort on stage and i loved it. theres just a Look that dancers have when their condition is good and they’re performing better than usual. and there’s just this Vibe that a team gives off when things are going Right. it’s really hard to explain because it’s not really something you practice, but it’s just when your hearts match and everyone is on the same page and when you dance with your team the energy you share with your team and the energy you have on the stage is literally TANGIBLE. there is really no other way i can find to explain it, and im honestly normally a super sciency person… but this is just something i will never be able to explain…

the only thing about that performance was that they performed with such energy and intensity that they kind of lost it after the bridge LOL. there are times in choreographies when you’re really tired and theres a resting point and ur adrenaline dies down a bit and ur like shit im tired LOL. and you can kind of see that happen… yena seems tired, and then the formation kind of gets messy,,, but it’s understandable because that jumping is tiring looool

if i had to give izone some constructive feedback:

the pathing for some of the arms in certain parts of the choreo are not the same, so it gets a little messy and loses effect. i know this is something they can fix if they know how to though, since there are other arm parts that are very clean

the timing for some of the canons need to be cleaned up.. i understand this is very hard though. the choreographers gave them pretty quickly timed canons that dont really follow any part of the music. this is generally really hard on the people in the middle vs. the people at the beginning and end who have it easier knowing exactly when to start and stop their movement (google dance canon if you dont know what im talking about)

it would be best if izone learned to pace themselves throughout the performance while keeping the focus and intensity. e.g. if youre going hard all the time, youll run out of energy real quick, so usually when dancers perform they kind of gauge when they put in 80% effort vs 110%, so the performance can have ups and down, and they wont get tired that much. this is honestly hard though and im still working on it hehe i get excited really easily and then halfway im wheezing like holy shit i shoulda calmed down LOL

to make things cleaner, it would be best if some members adjusted their height more e.g. wonyoung esp when they are near nako LOL it’s tough but yea it’s a skill… i got yelled at for like 6 months before i learned so

some formations need to be adjusted e.g. the last one, yuri and hitomi need to move out a bit to adjust to the formation change for the end formation. sakura is actually quite attentive and readjusts her formation mid movement to fix the line - this just needs to happen on the other side now

some random things i noticed:

yena has clean hands and arms and i appreciate this

their facial expressions change collectively at some parts e.g. minju’s first part, they all start smiling and their dance gets light and it’s cute. also during yenas rap in so curious they collectively get more serious and i like that uwu

if chaewon stomps on me one more time in the beginning ill probably cry

i really like the crossing behind wonyoung with their arms up (at the beginning) that goes into the hits (yena hits HARD) and then the hair flip canon (this is always so good omg)

my dance friend acknowledged this choreo, like its good can confirm

that leg part where they go down in the chorus is hard lol i was talking to my dance friend like yea if i had to do that in a set id quit like i cant man LOL

i miss chaeyeon’s chest hit that was in the mv during her part she doesnt do it anymore :cry:

more members are figuring out how to spot during spins and SO AM I i feel an emotional connection LMAO

after wizones were worrying about members’ knees, they started being more cautious when doing the floor part and i thought that was the sweetest thing ever

#MONSTAXINLA Concert Experience part 1

This is part 1 of the concert experience post. To make up for my dumbass accidentally deleting majority of my fancams, I wanted to make this as detailed as possible. I’m splitting this into two parts bc I realized, I talk A LOT. So part one is about majority of the songs, as well as the unit stages/H.ONE stage. Enjoy ^^

Part 2

So first I’ll start out with the songs (I won’t talk about them all bc it was a 3hr concert but I’ll definitely mention the favorites; excluding unit stages/H.ONE for now).

Shootout: Absolutely amazing! They started big, bold, and hard with this song. It was actually amazing to see this performed live. Especially since this was the song that got me into MX.

Hero: Although I am not the biggest fan of the version they performed...I honestly didn’t mind it at all and found it to be so much fun! This was the first MX song I ever listened to. So it was amazing and brought back memories to when I saw it.

Party Time: This was a chill and fun stage. Loved the table setup and how luxurious they looked, while swaying back and forth to the song. Not gonna lie, might be a new favorite now. ;)

Play it Cool: My favorite song from the We Are Here album. It was so much fun and afterwards, they let us sing along with them in English. ^^

Oh My/Special/Fallin/Rodeo: I’m combining these because these are what I consider the “lit and hype” songs. They’re the ones when the members go crazy. They mess around, they dance strongly, they play around with each other. Also water being thrown on by Minhyuk and Kihyun, I feel blessed.

Alligator/Dramarama/Jealousy: I’ll also combine these because they were amazing as well. The last two being classics. While Alligator continued that strong, cool and sexy vibe the other title tracks have.

Neol hada: The cutest, stop them, they’re too cute. ;-;

By My Side: The last song and the hardest one to accept. Mainly bc it was their last song of the night. Each of the members were emotional, all the monbebes surrounding me were crying. We were all so emotional but good emotions. We were proud, happy, and thankful.

Unit Stages/H.ONE

Myself: The definition of classy and sexy. Minhyuk, Kihyun and Hyungwon in suits? Yes please. They’re dancing was stunning, vocals were beautiful. I hope to see them actually try this genre in the future. It was just so sexy. And this was the part in the concert where I realized, “you cannot have a bias in MX, it’s actually impossible when these men exist; so accept your fate and stan them all”.

Sambakja: I was super excited for this performance bc I refused to watch a single fancam. Sure I’ve seen photos but those are nothing compared to the real deal. I might honestly have to say that this performance might of been my biggest highlight of the night. I had no idea that this song was going to sound the way it did. It was POWERFUL! JOOKYUN ARE THE BEST RAPPERS IN KPOP AND THE ONLY RAPPERS IN THIS INDUSTRY. YOU’RE OPINION IS FOREVER INVALID IF YOU DON’T AGREE. I loved every single thing about this performance. Joohoney’s amazing drum work and how he incorporated us to chant sambakja while he drummed. Their intense rapping. Honestly, I can say a lot about their rapping bc they are kpop’s best rappers...so since it’s facts, we’ll just leave it at that. Also rip bottle flip fail. I guess the rappers can’t do it but at least Minhyuk can! Anyways......STUDIO VERSION OR WE RIOT!!!

Mirror: The one unit stage I was anticipating the most. And damn was it beautiful, sexy, intimate, emotional. I was so happy to see Wonho in the crop top and lace pants that he wore in Korea; it was one of the few things I wished for. Then Shownu appeared.....I will tell you....I was shocked, amazed, in love. I did not expect him to come out in that turtleneck tank top. He was beautiful and his arms-omg. Honestly, I liked how their outfits contrasted beautifully, since this seemed to be a theme for the performance. Hyung line absolutely killed this stage. And I felt way more emotional listening to this song irl. I could sense how intimate, sensual, dark, mysterious, and beautiful this stage wass. It was truly a masterpiece to see in person. Wonho’s beautiful lyrics composed so well with Shownu’s intense, sensual, strong choreography. Gosh...I could honestly imagine a beautiful artistic approach to this for an mv.....anyways part 2 of STUDIO VERSION OR WE RIOT!!!!!

H.ONE: Hyungwon’s DJ stage was EPIC! I understand now why everyone said it felt like a rave bc it was! It was so much fun, he truly hyped up the crowd. And this man just knows how to perform and to get everyone jumping! loved it!

Seoul Limited and Forever with Babyz (Madrid)

I’m about half a year late, but I just want to share a bit of my B.A.P concert experiences both in Seoul Limited and Forever With Babyz tour in Madrid. You know, if anyone’s interested…

First of all, how did I get to Seoul? I applied for a month-long summer university program and I got a smaller tuition fee thanks to my schools being partner universities. Still, it took me about 5 years to get enough funds. I’m not going to talk much about that in here, but it was the most amazing time of my life. I do advise everyone not to ONLY go there for running after a potential Korean boyfriend tho. The culture is so much more than kpop-related fantasies.

Ok, on to the actual topic- B.A.P. While in Seoul, I did want to see the TS building with my own two eyes (so I’d know where to go to throw the tomatoes, haha). Therefore, one evening me and my fellow coursemate/ friend went to look for it, but apparently that day B.A.P and TRCNG had a practice there as it came out. When we approached the building, Zelo was chatting with someone in front of the house, but seeing us coming scared him off and he fleed to the building. I felt so sorry for him, because it must be a common occurrence for them to not get privacy even there by the way he reacted. So, I got nervous because I really wanted to have a picture in front of the building, but I didn’t want to be causing any discomfort to them. Me and my friend decided to take a picture real quick and I kinda got my two half-blurry pictures in front of the building.

Here’s potato me making TS surrender to the Matoki power:

When we stood back a bit, I saw TRCNG entering the house and we decided to leave. While we were walking away, around the corner came Himchan who was, for some reason, followed (basically cornered) by a bunch of blonde chicks (stalkers I guess?). Since I was a bit too close, for some reason I thought it would be really impolite if I didn’t say anything so I bowed and let out „annyeonghaseyo“ (It’s really weird to type it out like that). He answered me with a nod and when he had entered TS, some Korean fans who were following set themselves to wait outside the doors. That was the last we saw them as we moved further away from the place…

Before going to the summer program and buying the plane tickets to Korea, I didn’t know B.A.P would have a concert. When it was announced, I praed for the dates to overlap with my stay. I was incredibly lucky, because B.A.P’s first Seoul Limited concert was on the last day of my stay. The day itself was super-hot (38+ degrees) and I had a lot of troubles from moving out the dorms with all of my luggage etc. In the morning I managed to go to the venue to buy some merch (got myself a matoki whistle and a t-shirt). In the afternoon, there were already fansites distributing free merch (got also 2 banners, but I lost my shiny Zelo banner at the concert T_T).

The queueing was so different from European stops, where we camp in front of the venes. Here you had a number on a ticket and you just went and looked for your spot in the line and everything went smoothly. I actually had bought two tickets, because I was hoping for someone to go with me (and to get more people to appreciate B.A.P, lol). I did manage to get a friend from the program to come with me, so it was a success. The venue was really well ventilated and the sound system was great. B.A.P had a live band to back them up and they put on a great show as always. Too bad I couldn’t really understand much when they did their talking. In the crowd, there was a couple and B.A.P pointed at them and stated that „This is how you take your girlfriend out. You take her to a B.A.P concert !“, and they continued to chat for a bit. The best things from the concert- Coma rock version, Blind and small snipets from songs fans had selected as the ones they want to hear from B.A.P the most, watergun fight, new solos and tons of adlibs. Even though my ticket queue number was quite big, the stage was so well built that when idols came off from the main stage to those cat-walks, I had maybe only 2 rows of people in front of me making it the closest I’ve been at a concert.

But there is one thing I found different from previous concerts. I don’t know if it was because I was really nervous about my flights and everything that day, but the crowd in Europe felt more passionate. I guess it is just in the way we cheer. I mean, their fanchants and everything was on point, but somehow it felt more calm and collected that I was used to. Either way, I loved that I could be there with OT6 and that Jongup released his cute MV for Annoying as a memory of that day. Oh, oh, and I finally got on Himchan’s fancam J. Really blurry, but I know it’s me. Thank you Channie!

Moving on to my Madrid experience. At first, I didn’t really plan to go to another tour because I’d already seen them this year, but the fact that there were tickets with best perks I never really managed to get before still available started creeping on me. I had to decide whether to wait for the mess that was Berlin ticket sale or settle for the Madrid one. I decided to save myself from the excess stress and take the Madrid VVIP. I don’t regret going one bit even though the Youngbros organisation was freaking awful. As VVIP holders, we were promised more time at the high-touch than VIP but nothing like that happened. The signed poster was actually just printed on and they had ran out of black beanies before even half the VVIPs could pass the counter.

Just a small look at the merch etc:

The worst thing was that they messed with B.A.P’s sound system so some time the microphones didn’t really work and the security guys didn’t pay any attention to people fainting in the crowd, which Daehyun and Zelo had to point out to them (Zelo tried to get their attention in Spanish, Daehyun wanted to stop the song to resolve the case) and Jongup threw his own water bottle to fans in need. The concert itself was really good (even though we still missed Bang and were chanting his name from time to time). I loved being able to hear Howler in it’s Spanish home and Zelo went wild with the butt-slaps and butt-wiggles. During Do What I Feel, he threw his towel to the crowd and guess who was the lucky one to catch it! It still has his makeup on tho :D.

Haha, towel-kun has seen some things... At this point I knew. For 5 years, I didn’t manage to choose a bias in B.A.P. That was the day my bias chose me (lolololol)

The only kind of OK clips that I got from the concert was Youngjae’s acapella “I’m happy” and Jongup’s “Try my luck”, because I was trying to enjoy the concert too much which resulted in my hands being extra shaky.

There was also a lottery where they chose a random number and a fan for every member got a small canvas bag with member’s drawing and autograph on it. And a hug. At some point, Youngjae managed to hurt his shoulder, I hope he is ok now. Them teaching us the fanchant for All the way up was pretty memorable since they almost booed Daehyun off the stage because he couldn’t contain himself and do the right thing. And Zelo just went like “OMG, it’s our song”. We also had a support project for Himchan where we held his banners and chanted his name.

My high-touch experience. While we were standing in a line, the organisers started to let B.A.P take their positions near the wall. To get there, B.A.P walked through a small bordered area which was right next to where some of us were queueing. I noticed Himchan and told him “annyeong” for which he raised his head, looked at me and just had the cutest smile ever on his face. I made Himchan smile, everyone! I don’t know if he noticed that this is the one person who never manages to greet him correctly (me in Warsaw, Seoul and now Madrid). He was also first in line at high-touch and he was still so extra smiley at me.

To sum up the high-touch experience, this is basically it:

I mean, there were so many things I wanted to say (just one sentence to each member), but I couldn’t do anything because it was too fast. I tried to tell them stuff in English or Korean, but they tried to tell me stuff in Spanish and in English and it was honestly such a mess. It was so funny. Then right after we had the group photo so I fastened my steps and got next to Zelo. After everything I just had to go to him. I could tell he did something over my head while taking the picture since he was touching it, but I had no actual idea what. The picture turned out better than I expected. I am not really good friends with cameras, specially when I don’t even know, where the cameraman is or when the picture is exactly taken. Got the cutest photo ever and I will now officially present my short ass as “Zelo’s armrest” since this is what he used me as.

Tbh, I had to photoshop my face on the picture a bit, because the camera reflected on me so bad that I looked like a Christmas tree in a Colgate commercial. Literally.

Anyways, after the short time for pictures, I could pass by all of them again and thanked them, especially Zelo, when I turned around. I love them all so much and I had soft hours for days after we got to know that Zelo shouldn’t have even been on the tour but he insisted to come. Made it all 10 times more memorable and important.

I wish I could also go to Yongguk’s tour. I don’t know if it’s possible, because I have already emptied my bank account for them. So I guess we’ll see what happens. I hope he receives a lot of love and support anyways.

ok since kellie posted her fancam i thought i’d finally stop being lazy and do the same too :’)

i mentioned this a little bit before but earlier this month, i was lucky enough to get tickets to see nct 127 at the apple music event in la and was able to see them perform! this was by far one of the most amazing and intimate experiences i’ve ever been able to be apart of and being able to see nct 127 doing what they do best together is something i’m going to cherish in my heart for a very long time! here is the link to the full playlist of all their performances!!

ok hello if there are people who actually decided to keep reading thank u so much and buckle up bc u are in for a riiiiiiiiiide (ridin on that VAAaaaaAAAAan, KEEP dRIVINGGGggGGG) ok anyways! HERE WE GO!

[ ! ] btw the first part is just me talking about everything that happened before the concert so pls feel free to just skip to the last paragraph instead LOL

so when news came out that nct 127 was going to be coming back to the u.s. and perform on jimmy kimmel and that tickets were FREE, my friends and i hi kellie, hi tracey all tried to get some tickets for both the taping and the concert and was able to make it on the waitlist! i don’t live in california but both of my friends do so i told them that if any of us got confirmed tickets, i’d be flying over there for the weekend to attend the show! it’s kind of all a blur now bc the only thing i can remember within that week was stressing out so hard over tickets because the way the whole thing was set up was just SO STRESSFUL because despite being on the waitlist, there is no 100% guarantee that you’d get tickets and they start giving out tickets to people from within a week before the taping to the day of the actual event so really, it was just one massive waiting game. but a week went by and none of us saw any signs of getting tickets and flight ticket prices kept fluctuating for me so i just went ahead and booked my flight anyways without a confirmed ticket pls don’t ever do this omfg please please PLEASE don’t ever do this!!! and PRAYED that one of us would be able to get tickets ;; a few days went by and then nct kept releasing more news and how they’d be performing at mickey mouse’s 90th birthday celebration so tickets for that were also available too and once again, we made it on the waitlist!!! and played not one but now two (2) waiting games!!!! :-)))

honestly i rly don’t remember much that happened during this small time frame bc i was so stressed and anxious over these tickets that it rly took a toll on me physically and mentally LOL but yeah so on wednesday the 3rd, nct 127 posted on their instagram about how they’d be having a special performance partnered with apple music and i was about to start my math exam but the moment i read their post, i ran to the bathroom faster than i’ve ever ran before and of course, i requested tickets and made it on the waitlist again!!!! SO NOW IN TOTAL, IT WAS NOT ONE, BUT THREE (3) WAITING GAMES!!! GAMES THAT I WAS STARTING TO GET SICK OF PLAYING!!! anyways yeah so basically my friends and i made it onto all 3 waiting lists and at this point we really just wanted to be able to make it to at least one event ;;;

fast forward to friday, aka 1 day before mickey mouse and 3 days before kimmel and apple music and also the day my flight leaves for la!!! my friends and i all got a big fat no from mickey mouse saying they wouldn’t be able to accommodate our ticket requests bc they were full so we we re like ok!!! whatevs!!! we still have kimmel and apple to try for!!! so here i am… at the airport… getting ready to leave with no!!! confirmed!!! ticket!!! my flight was quite early in the morning so i was at the airport overnight and it was like around 11:30pm when i was doing homework and i got a notification on my phone… thinking it was just some random notification when in reality, I GOT MY CONFIRMED TICKET FOR THE APPLE MUSIC EVENT :’) it’s a blur to me bc it happened so fast and so suddenly but all i remember was that my jaw literally dropped for the longest time and my hands were shaking so badly bc i cOULDN’T BELIEVE IT??? i wasn’t able to sleep that entire night nor was i able to sleep on the plane from all the adrenaline so that saturday really was an interesting day for me LOL anywho i made it to la safe and sound and spent saturday and sunday hanging out with my friends while we prepared for monday :’)

ok so then despite getting tickets, we had no idea where the location of this event was going to be bc 1iota (the event organizer) wasn’t going to release the information until 10am monday morning and we were planning on waiting in line like early early to get a good spot so we had to be ready and out of the house by 9am!!! bUT WAIT!!! 9am was also when the english version of the mv was going to be released so me and kellie were both !!! bc we wanted to gif the mv so bad!!! so now at this point it’s like 7am and we’re all like half awake trying frantically to get ready and i’m over here trying to stream nct on the radio and listen to the world release of regular eng ver and then somewhere in between all of this, both kellie and tracey ended up getting their emails for confirmed tickets too??? so yeah at this point all three of us are running around like crazy ppl bc we weren’t expecting all of us to go but now all 3 of us get to go!!! so yeah i brought my laptop with me and tried to gif in the car but the connection from my hotspot was so slow so i just sat and cried instead :-) ALSO!!! remember how information about the location was supposed to be released at 10am? yeah well they changed it on us again!!! they delayed it to 2pm so at this point me and kellie rly wanted to d*e bc we did all of that rushing for nothing omfg but fast forward to 2pm, they released the information for the location and since we were already in the hollywood area we went there right away so when we lined up, we were like number 10 in line!!! :D

i wasn’t able to eat at all that entire day just bc i was so stressed and so nervous from everything that the hunger didn’t hit me til like 20 mins before the actual event omg ;;;; i remember saying “omg i’m so hungry” and the girl beside me was like “well sweetie, you’re about to be fed real good rn” and i just died laughing oh my god but yeah i had a priority ticket so i was let in around 7:30pm-ish and the event started at 8! i got barricade again just like last time at kcon ny, my view was reeeeeeally good!! ! i would say even better than kcon’s even tho i was front and center for kcon ;;; back when we were in line, the event organizers kept asking us how we were doing and each time i would tell them that i was super nervous and they’d ask why and i would explain that i just get super nervous before seeing nct omg it’s really true tho idk what it is but i just feel so QUEASY before seeing them… like the fact that you go from seeing them from your screen to seeing them in front of you is just a very STRANGE FEELING FOR ME OK but they kept repeating how we were all going to have a good time and that the space inside was super small so it’s going to be nice and intimate with them and they said how no matter what spot you get, you’re still going to be super close to them… one of the staff members was like “you’re going to be so close to them they’re going to sweat on you” AND GOD THIS JUST MADE ME EVEN MORE NERVOUS KASDJKSAJDKAJDKA

OK ANYWAYS ENOUGH OF THAT, ONTO THE ACTUAL CONCERT! when we got in, the event was actually on a rooftop and so the scenery behind the stage was just soooooo pretty and then they had a playlist of their songs playing in the bg and it was just really nice to listen and enjoy while we waited for them to come out :’) the members kept hiding behind this door and some of them started waving and they were all teasing us so hard bc the moment we saw someone there, we would all start screaming and they just wouldn’t stop :’) then they finally played the apple music documentary video for us and i just remember all of us screaming a lot LOL but then the lights went off again and then we all watched them walk onto the stage one by one and oh my GOD the wait for them to finally start just felt like forever and then next thing i know, the sirens went off and all i hear is “GET IT LIFTED” and then firetruck started omg i was trying to get jaehyun’s attention but then mr. nakamoto yuta… YUTA… looked over on our side and me and him made eye contact for a good solid 3 seconds and i just about lost my shit omg… HE IS SO INSANELY GORGEOUS IN REAL LIFE I WAS RLY GOIN THRU IT… JAEHYUN WHO??? AND THEN HAECHAN OMG… haechan came over to our side like 75% of the time and he is the cutest, most adorable person on this planet!!! he was always smiling and waving and i really can’t think of anything else to describe him other than the sun bc he quite literally was shining that night!!! i think it was halfway through firetruck that we started to realize that the stage was like… a little slippery??? but it wasn’t until limitless started where we really noticed the members starting to slip and stumble here and there ;; also there’s this one part where jaehyun went up super close to me during limitless and i about died… i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again but even after seeing him irl, HE IS SO HANDSOME IT’S UNREAL… HIS VISUALS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD I CAN’T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD but yeah the staff members would go on stage after each song to try their best to dry the stage but for some reason that wasn’t enough ;; i have no idea why the stage was so slippery but my guess was that it was pretty cool up on the rooftop and with the amount of people there, there was so much body heat in the air and then that mixed with the cool air = condensation??? i also think the shoes the members were wearing had like absolutely no friction at the bottom so it made them slip even more ;; they were also using a fog machine too but idk if that was actually the reason why the stage was so slipper omg but yeah after firetruck, they performed limitless and then they had a small ment here and mark talked about how it was a very special day for them (bc they just came straight from performing at jimmy kimmel too) and then johnny screamed something along the words of being apple music’s next up next artist and he was just so happy!!!! and then mark said that they’ve got october all to themselves and they were so happy to be able to be here with all of the fans! jaehyun also said that the place was so wonderful and said all the fans there were so wonderful and johnny came in to say that they had rehearsals the night before but being there with all the fans, it was a totally different feeling ;~; after that they performed touch and then when it came to cherry bomb (OT10 VER WITH JUNGWOO BTW), this was when things started to look a little :/// bc taeyong had already fell back during touch and at this point i was already beyond worried bc i would rather have them stop the whole thing all together rather than have them risk getting injured just to perform for us??? i shouted so many times to “be careful” in both korean and english T________T IT WAS LIKE THE DREAM CONCERT ALL OVER AGAIN WHEN THEY PERFORMED IN THE RAIN not to mention they had comeback promotions to do once they back to korea too so i rly just wanted them to stop ;;; i also think the members were all starting to get a little discouraged from all the slipping and stumbling during each performance and it kinda just looked like they were all really sad that they couldn’t put on a perfect performance ;; at this point the stage was soooooo slippery and i think they were more focused on not falling rather than performing and my heart rly just was in pieces ;;; taeyong fell again in cherry bomb during the leg split dance and it looked so painful oh my god i was just so WORRIED and i wanted it all to stop so bad ;~; but after cherry bomb ended, i think the members went back down to talk to the staff and then they came back up with different shoes! but finally!!! alas, they performed regular!!! since they switched shoes, the performance went pretty smoothly so i felt a little at ease! taeil, doyoung and mark were still wearing their original shoes so there were a few times when they slipped a little but thank god none of them actually fell ;; despite the song being a released earlier that morning, a lot of the fans did really well in learning the fanchants and singing along with the boys so i think it really helped in boosting the members’ confidence after the prior performances ;; there was a small ment here and doyoung talked and johnny translated it saying how basically the members felt really apologetic that they couldn’t put on good performances bc of the slippery stage and i was yelling with all the energy i had left in my that it was ok!!! that they were doing amazing and that they shouldn’t feel sorry!!! IT WAS KILLING ME INSIDE THAT THEY FELT THIS ASKDJKASDJAKJSDKD I WANTED TO ACTUALLY D*E but then they promised they’d come back to show an even better performance and doyoung held up his lil pinky!!! and then johnny asked how taeyong was doing and he answered back “i’m okay!!!” IN THE CUTEST WAY POSSIBLE… I JUST WANTED TO GIVE HIM ONE BIG FAT HUG T________________T and then taeyong said the last mission they had left was to take a picture with the fans and took out the selfie stick to take a picture with everyone! it was so cute TwT

but yeah, overall the whole experience was really really amazing minus the slippery stage and for the most part, i was really impressed with how organized 1iota was! i’m really grateful i got to be apart of it and it still feels like a dream that i got to attend the event and see them perform and promote their new album here in america!!! they were amazing performers and did so well despite everything! i was really really proud of them ;; anyways, thank you to everyone that made it this far!!! i hope you enjoyed this fan account! i know it’s a super long post but if i don’t write it all out now while it’s still somewhat fresh in my mind, i’m going to forget it by the end of the month so i hope you all understand! thank you so much! ♡

BTS LOVE YOURSELF TOUR: LONDON DAY 2 (10/10/18)

Let me just say right from the start that the UK LOVED Jin, and when I say that they loved him I mean that every SINGLE time he appeared on screen, whether in the MVs, the videos in between or just Jin himself, everyone LOST IT and screamed their lungs out to the high heavens. It was amazing.

I was in lower tier seating so I can’t say for sure since I wasn’t in standing myself, but every time I looked over everyone was being really respectful and no one was pushing (at least on my side) which made me really happy!

Also! All of the security and staff at the arena that I came across were really lovely too!

Maybe around 5 minutes before the concert was supposed to start an annoucement came from the translator that Jungkook wouldn’t be performing again because of his injury. He was apologising loads on their behalf but we were all like IT’S OKAY DON’T WORRY WE LOVE YOU!

A quick note on Jungkook: you could tell he wasn’t feeling well throughout the concert. He was very playful of course and was smiling and singing beautifully as always, but at times you could tell from his face that he was frustrated/upset at the situation which broke my heart because it’s not his fault :( He was also limping a bit when he walked, which shocked me because at that point we didn’t know that he had stitches on his heel and it made me really sad because I love him so much and the last thing I want is for him to be hurt and feel guilty about it :(( But, there was pretty much always a member with him and playing with him so thankfully baby bun was never too lonely! He definitely smiled the most and looked happiest when they were around him T-T

They went back to playing MVs after that, and played DNA, Mic Drop, and Fake Love. I think the concert started abut 10 mins late?

THEN, my friends, the concert began with the beginning video and it was so pretty and magical.

Idol started playing next and I swear, as soon as the doors opened and they walked out I felt my body ascend to another plane and enter a state of pure bliss. For all these years I had only seen them through a screen, but now I was breathing the same air as them and looking at them with my own two eyes? Unfathomable. Also I could feel the heat of the fire from where I was sitting so I can’t even imagine how hot it must have been for them :/

Next was their opening ment and it was so surreal to hear them speaking and akdjakjfafa idk it was weird to expereince that but they sound so beautiful ;-; I kept saying hi back to them like the idiot I am lmao I couldn’t help it they were so adorable T-T Namjoon mentioned Jungkook’s injury and made sure to remind people to be mindful of their neighbours because he is the king of safety and we Respect that in this household.

They performed a bit of Save Me and all of I’m Fine but because I’m an absolute buffoon I forgot to press record so I’m really annoyed because I really love that song :( BUT at least I watched with my eyes and so I have the memory of it :’) It was an amazing performance and I loved it so much :(

They had their second ment here and then performed Magic Shop (one of my faves) which is just pure evil because how can they hit us with the feels so early on and expect us to be okay?? I was not fine. But it was so beautiful with all the purple lights and everyone singing together and it made me feel all warm and so happy :( You could really feel the love in the air

Just Dance was here but because I continued to be stupid I frickin forgot to press record again!!!! I’m super angry at myself. Hoseok though, his charisma and the way he entrances the crowd is insane! And his dancing!! omfg he is honest to god one of the best dancers I have seen in my entire life. He’s so mesmerising and you couldn’t take your eyes off him for even a second.

After this was Euphoria, which is one of my favourite songs ever because it makes me so happy and like everything is going to be okay. Jungkook has the most beautiful, soothing voice and I just can’t describe how hearing him made me feel. It made me feel like I was safe. He kept looking at the crowd with so much adoration and the most beautiful of smiles and he was listening to us singing along and it made me so happy because he looked so happy :(

I Need U was straight after and this made me !!! because this was the song that changed my life and made me an army so hearing it live made me totes emosh :(

Run was pretty hype and Joonie got us all jumping so it was really fun!

Serendipity!! Jimin has so much stage presence it’s crazy, it was truly a magical performance and it felt like we were all in a trance. He also kept putting his hand up his shirt to make it do the flappy doodle thing which was the epitome of rudeness :)) He is a beautiful dancer and you’d be a fool to deny it.

Love started and it was so much fun! He really knows how to work a crowd, everyone was singing and it was like we were all performing together aajfakfak I loved it. I also really liked Joonie’s jacket. idk if it’s clear in the video but at the end when the members were joining him on stage Jungkook was walking really slowly and that’s when I first saw that he was limping :(

DNA was amazing but all I could focus on was how sparkly Jimin was. I loved it. I love sparkly things. I’m like a magpie... or a niffler. ANyway, baby bun did as much of the choreo as he could in his chair and the members kept looking at him when they were singing at it was so cute huhu they love him so much he’s their precious baby.

They had another quick ment here before the medley of Dope, Go Go, Blood Sweat Tears, Boy In Luv and Fire. Jin and Jimin were playing with Jungkook so much it was the cutest thing and Jungkook had the biggest smile TT-TT

Airplane Pt2 was super fun but also kinda sensual and idk how to explain the feeling but it’s like there was something radiating from my chest throughout my body and I Felt It(TM) in my soul okay?

FAKE LOVE!!! tbh I had forgotten that they might perform this lmao so it was a super pleasant surprise! I really love this song and the energy from them and the crowd was amazing. The video didn’t pick it up very well smh but the fanchants were so good! Especially for the WHY YOU SAD? IDK NAN MOLLA lmao it was like we were a cult summoning the devil it was Great. Also! At the end when jinkook are supposed to do their arm thing together Jungkook did it from his chair with Jin in the actual formation so they did it together but from a distance :(

Seesaw omfg I love this song so much and I was looking forward to it so much and it did not disappoint. It’s such a good song and such a good performance and he has such a pretty voice and I really really liked it ;-; Everyone went wild for when he slid down the bench it was so cool omg. The fanchants during the bit at the end could’ve been better but it definitely wasn’t bad and people were screaming loads! I would’ve done the fanchants better myself but my voice was hoarse from my cold before the concert even started and progressively got worse as it went on since I was screaming so much that by this point I was struggling to breathe and trying my best not to choke to death in the midde of the performance and have it be caught on camera because y’know, Priorities.

SING.U.LA.RI.TY. Oh my goodness gracious me this performance was something else. The dance he does at the beginning with his hand was so sensual and mesmerising and I honestly couldn’t look away. It was so realistic as well, I obviously knew that there was no one there but it looked so real that if you told me that it was someone else’s hand I would’ve totally believed you. Also his hands are ridiculously beautiful. The first thing I noticed was how perfect Tae’s live was. Obviously they’re all amazing live and have been in all of the performances, as has Tae himself, but in this song it’s unlike anything I’ve heard before. It literally literally genuinely truly sounded EXACTLY like the studio version to an almost scary point. This man is an incredibe singer and if you can’t see or hear that god help your soul.

Oh god Epiphany. This was the performance I think everyone was looking forward to, and you can clearly hear it with how loud everyone was screaming. Jin looked absolutely ethereal with his parted hair and beautiful face and beautiful voice and beautiful jacket. His voice has so much emotion that just pierces through your heart. This man has a true gift that is impossible to deny. Every was singing “I’m the one I should love” together and whether that was something we believed in or not, in that moment we all truly loved ourselves, and there’s nothing more beautiful than that. Listening to Jin sing Epiphany surrounded by the most beautiful lights... I felt at peace. I felt safe.

If Epiphany wasn’t emotional enough they went straight into The Truth Untold and I do not lie when I say that the emotions were tangible. Every single one of them looked angelic in their gorgeous outfits and their voices were like honey and I felt so light but my heart felt heavy at the same time? It was a very bizarre feeling. Everyone was singing along and it really was so beautiful. Jungkook’s adlibs at the end and Jimin’s change of the high note were incredible and if I didn’t have such a stone cold heart then I’m sure I would’ve cried like I thought I would.

Listen. I had seen so many fancams so I KNEW that Outro Tear came immediately after The Truth Untold, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how insane that performance was. Not only for the whiplash it gave me since the previous 2 performances were so emotional, but the 3 of them are such phenomenal rappers and have so much control and power over the stage and audience that it’s almost terrifying. You couldn’t keep your eyes off them even if you tried. They each have their unique styles but the way they come together so perfectly and beautifully is unbelievable. I have no idea how they manage to show such individualty yet perfect synchronicity at the same time, but they do and it truly is a sight to see. They are a force to be reckoned with and I know for a fact that down the line they are going to have such important roles in shaping the music industry. Don’t ever doubt their abilities, not even for a second.

Next was Mic Drop, which Namjoon announced was the last song and I was like??? How??? It honestly only felt like it had been about half an hour but it had been 2 hours. Jungkook didn’t come out for this performance, not even sitting on a chair, so the whole time in the back of my mind I was really worried about him. This is only speculation of course so don’t take it as the truth or anything, but he really must not have been feeling well for him not to even be able to sit on a chair. Either he was in loads of pain or he fainted or something?? idk, I just hope it wasn’t too bad :( They just played the backing track for his parts with the members sometimes singing over it too. The performance itself was amazing though! They had so much energy and the dance break was the bomb dot com.

After this the main part of the concert had officially ended and the girls next to me were asking each other if it was over so I was like no no don’t worry there’s an encore they’re coming back! Don’t leave yet!

After some time it was ARMY TIME so everyone held up their banners and it was so nice! So What had started, which I was surprised about because I thought that they’d want us to hold the banners up during a slower, more emotional song but nope. So What was the hypest song out of the entire concert and everyone was jumping so much and it was just so so so much fun??

Jungkook was back for this performance but it was very obvious that he wasn’t doing well. He was singing fine and trying to be playful but you could see in his eyes and his face that he wasn’t okay, which is why I feel like he might have felt faint before or something, though I’m still just speculating so don’t hold it again me. Jin stayed by his side for basically the whole time and walked slowly with him down the ramp to the extended stage and!! You guys, when Jungkook did the shoot dance, although it was very slow he looked so so happy, it made my heart melt :( I’m glad he was able to do it because honestly that was one of the times he smiled the biggest :( Jin did it together with him and it was so sweet and I’m just so glad they all have each other to look out for them. Taejin had their Moment again it was fantastic. There was lots of cuteness throughout the whole thing and they looked like they were having so much fun! It made me very happy.

Anpanman was super fun and very enjoyable! It really is such a cute song uwu it made me smile a lot :’) Jungkook was looking at the audience a lot for this one and doing as much of the dance as possible in his chair what a cutie pie and Joonie and Jimin played with him too and he kept laughing uwu uwu this song was too much for me.

Then it was time for their ending ment. They started off with such a sweet event for us :( They made the army bombs turn rainbow coloured and took a picture with the arena in the background and it was so lovely :( Also lmao Hobi said it was photo time with an American accent, but Joon corrected him saying that is was “phoTo” with the enunciated ‘T’ sound like you say with an English accent if that makes sense?? It was really funny and after that Hobi kept saying photo with the harsh T and it was adorable. Joon then went on to say that Yoongles was going to do his ment first but he kept saying “sweetie sweetie sweetie suga” in an English accent again and alfjfkjfna I love him ma

Yoongs had his bling bling SUGA rings on and they were so sparkly! He was so smiley and just super cute. He repeatedly talked about how they were going to see us again soon so I’m certain that they’re coming back next year with either an epilogue tour or something so Wembley you better be prepared because next time we’re coming for you.

Hobster spoke in English and it was so good and it never fails to amaze me how hard he tries for all of his comments in all of the concerts. He was totes making fun of us though, when we said aww because he was sad it was the last concert day he said aww back and I felt the mockery but he’s so flippin adorable I don’t understand how can one human being possibly have so much power to make so many people happy it doesn’t make sense I don’t understand.

Tae. Eyebrows. Rude. He was being super cute talking about how he had seen London in movies (none that I knew of because he is evidently much more cultured than I am) and that he thought it was such a beautiful place and that armys were beautiful too (what a flirt). He then went on to saying some word but honest to god I hadn’t the faintest clue what he was saying and neither did my friend or anyone else around me and in the video you can hear a very faint “what?” because I was just so confused lmao. Apparently he said bloodclat? but I’m not from London so I have no idea what that means and I’m still no wiser. Twas a very confuzzling time.

Jin. Jinnie. Kim Seokjin. My man. My bro. Dude. Please stop looking so handsome, it hurts me. He was talking about how he looked like Kingsman and that next time he’ll dress up like Harry Potter. I’m holding that promise to you Jin, don’t let me down. At that point Namjoon said “shut up Malfoy” like he did in that one vlive last year(?) and it was so funny I couldn’t stop laughing why must they be so adorable??

Jimin was next and he kept saying that everything was lovely again and again and it was so sweet and oh my god he is literally the cutest thing ever I love him so much he is such a precious person please protect him 5eva. He also said that he wanted to come back so Jimbles! I’m holding that promise to you too don’t let me down.

Baby bun was next and he was apologising for not being able to show us more but we all just screamed NOOOOOOO really loudly because we love our precious baby in this household and he must never apologise for something that was out of his control :( Even though he was injured he still gave it his all and did his best and his health and happiness is more important than anything else!! We don’t need to see him perform, we just need him to be healthy.

Nimnams was next and my god he was so radiant. At first he tried doing an English accent but he quickly gave up on it lmao what a cutie pie I love him. He said that he fell in love with London and that it really inspired him and that he might write a song called London and we all just went !!! Because with Jungkook being injured in London it would’ve been understandable for them to associate the UK with negative feelings because that’s just how human brains work, but the fact that they seemed to have loved it so much and were inspired by it and want to write a song about it? It just made me feel so proud. I hope that when they come back they get the chance to travel around a bit because there is so much to see and it has such a different vibe to London and I’m sure they’d love it! He said how he was proud of himself for chosing this path in life and becoming a part of BTS and therefore being able to come to London :( This boy completely owns my heart and I would do anything for him :(

After this was the last song, Love Yourself Answer, but I didn’t have much space left on my phone so I couldn’t record it :( It was so lovely though and as one of my favourite songs it made my heart all wibbly wobbly :( Tae was on my side a lot and was beng super duper cute and it was the best. Jungkook’s seat was still in the middle so the members were playing with him lots and being all round cutie pies. Everyone was singing “you’ve shown me I have reasons I should love myself” and it was so beautiful to hear people saying that to themselves and actually believing it in that moment. This was another song that made my heart happy and made me feel very peaceful and like everything was okay in the world.

Then it was the ending and they were walking around the extended stage and waving to us all. Jimin kept saying that we were lovely and Tae said I purple you and urgh it was just so incredible and magical. They thanked their dancers and bowed with them and we all screamed for them too! There was loads of confetti and it was so so so beautiful.

It ended then, and I remember suddenly feeling so empty. The past 2 and a half hours had without a doubt been the best of my life and the fact that I has seen bts live with my own eyes and been in the same place as them was still hard to comprehend.

One thing I can say for sure though is that they truly love performing on stage. They must have been so exhausted with how crazy their schedules have been, but they were constantly smiling and had high energy and put on the best performance that they could. Never once did I feel like they were being forced to do something they didn’t want to do, not like I sometimes feel with some other singers. No words can fully express how genuinely happy they looked to be on stage, and that in itself makes me so happy. Knowing that they are doing something that they love so much and are so passionate about is incredible and I hope that they are able to do the things they want to do for a long time. Anyone watching them can feel the amount of love they have for the stage, each other, and us.

And that’s the thing - people can try and dissect them and figure out what the ‘bts formula’ is as much as they want, but they will never find the answer; because you cannot formulate love, and you cannot formulate authenticity. Every moment since the creation of the universe led them to where they are today. It led them to each other, the most beautiful of soulmates, and it led us to them, our guardian angels who came into our lives when we needed them the most. Everything that has happened in our lives, both the good and the bad, led us to the moment where we discovered bangtan, and something in us told us that this was where we belonged. We all come from so many different walks of life, so many different journeys and destinations, yet here we all are, coming together because of these 7 beautiful boys with even more beautiful hearts, and intertwining our lives with one another. Despite all odds, we survived, and we’re living this life together; and that is nothing short of a miracle.

Can’t Cover Up

[Admin Lyric: Damn, sorry that I haven’t uploaded anything in awhile. My sister (Admin Ummie) and our family are in the midst of moving so we’ve been real busy for a few months. I actually have a few fanfictions that are done but just need to be revised so I’ll try to get them up as soon as I can. Thank you for understanding. I hope that its good because I typed this at like 3 am one morning. This is inspired by one of Taeyeon’s songs Cover Up.]

Characters: Mark, Taeyong, Yukhei/ Lucas, Doyoung, Jaehyun

Mark was scared, no, more like terrified. What was he supposed to do? Keep it to himself? Not the best idea when the thought was eating away at his brain cells. He needed to tell someone, if not everyone. What would they say? The mere thought of telling everyone about it made him feel nauseous. How was he supposed to put in words that he had the most biggest, enormous, gayest crush on Taeyong? Would they think he was disgusting? He hoped not.

Mark has had a crush on Taeyong since as long as he could remember. The crush only started out as admiration towards the elder, thinking he looked cool and the way he portrayed his stage presence made him look up to Taeyong. This eventually turned into him watching NCT stages (mainly Taeyong focuses) on his phone without anyone knowing. Basically this turned into an obsession with him watching Taeyong on stage. Lastly this turned into him staring at him from afar, blushing easily when they were close to each other. That’s when he knew he had a crush on him but it’s been like a whole year since he realized it and it’s only gotten worse.

It’s hard for Mark to even physical be around him without him getting nervous and anxious. He always tried to make sure he was around others when Taeyong was in the room with him. The only one who knew about his crush was Doyoung. He had known since he saw Mark’s watch history on YouTube filled with Taeyong fancams. He eventually asked Mark about it and he cried being afraid he was gonna tell someone. Doyoung assured him he wouldn’t tell anyone without asking first.

Skipping ahead, NCT U was about to fly to Ukraine to film there music video for Boss, their upcoming comeback with 2 new debuting members. Mark had always been a little afraid of flying so he took the opportunity to sit next to Johnny for some “comfortableness,” he’d never admit that to him though. Luck wasn’t really on his side today considering the fact Ten was going with them which means he would have to sit near someone else, cause Ten tends to whine if he doesn’t get to sit near him. And he also found out last minute Ten was going to be in a sub unit with Taeyong.

Not that he was mad or anything…but that’s exactly what he was saying. Why wasn’t he in the sub-unit with Taeyong? Although he was pretty sure he’d pass out due to extreme exhaustion and probably avoid him, but none the less, couldn’t he have got an option to do it with him anyway? He was sure that someone had planned this. As much as he tried to avoid him, he still wanted to have Taeyong’s full attention on only him. At that thought Mark sighed, running his fingers through his hair out of frustration. Was he really that selfish? To have one of his hyungs ignore the other members because of his own infatuation, was beyond his imagination. Why would he think something like that? He closed his eyes and tilted his head up towards the sky. It was snowing. He felt delicate snowflakes fall and melt onto his lukewarm skin, coloring his eyelashes a pretty white. His lips curved upward at the thought of being able to expand and broaden his verses on the airplane with the soothing feel of the way the snow fell lightly on to the ground, covering it like a blanket.

He opened his eyes and looked at the snowflakes falling from the sky, drifting towards his face. They reminded him of Taeyong. Bright, vibrant, captivating, free. He was just…perfect. Why must he make him act so dumb? He would just stand there and Mark would get all hot and start blushing when he looked at him. His sharp yet soft doe like eyes, long eyelashes, autumn red hair that pared perfectly with his gorgeous sun kissed skin. His beautiful carved nose, sexy chiseled jawline and perfectly shaped lips, ah, those lips. He’s definitely thought of kissing his lips more then he could count on both of his hands. His personality adorned his looks perfectly. So patient and loving yet reassuring and logical. His aura was so relaxing. He’d do whatever it was to make you in a better mood even if he wasn’t in one himself. He was so selfless. That’s what he loved most about Taeyong.

He shook his head. Think of something else. You need to act astray when it comes to your feelings. Why are you so weak? He sighed again. He missed Vancouver. He didn’t have to think and do so much there. It was a lot easier for to him to get things done without constant thoughts of over excursion to his body. He tilted his head back down and sighed again to only realize everyone was outside already, waiting for their manager. He hadn’t noticed Taeyong’s piercing gaze burning holes into his forehead or more like he tried to avoid it. Jaehyun had said something to Mark in plain English, but with Taeyong staring at him so intensely, made him forget how to speak.

“Huh?” Jaehyun rolled his eyes.

“I had asked you if you were okay. You looked lost in thought.” Mark’s eyes widened. Had he not been mindful to not cover up his feelings today? He’d been so good with keeping his stress, worries and depression down in the abyss of his distorted mind. With every unit coming back within the month put a lot of stress on him, but he didn’t want anyone to notice. He didn’t know what to say to him. He wasn’t gonna say he’s fine because Jaehyun’s a hawk, he’d know if he was lying.

Jaehyun sighed. It was practically written on his forehead. STRESS. He could see it. Mentally but mostly physically. Mark had lost some weight since they started their diets again but it was worse then their last comeback. He was just worried. He patted Mark’s head and smiled crookedly.

“Don’t overwork yourself. If you’re tired, say so. I don’t want you to die because you’re not healthy.” Jaehyun had a frown on his face. If only he had known the real causes of Mark’s spacing out and stress. Mark was used to the overly packed schedule. It didn’t bother him that much anymore. He was still worried about it, but that wasn’t the main cause of all of his problems. It was Taeyong. The same Lee Taeyong that had watched over Mark, made sure he was okay and wasn’t over doing it in practice. The same Lee Taeyong that had comforted him when he was home sick and crying about missing his family. The same Lee Taeyong that he was head over heels for. He was still staring at him after all which didn’t make the situation any better. Mark just coughed and smiled at Jaehyun.

“I’ll be fine hyung, I promise I won’t cause any harm to myself.” Jaehyun grinned widely and gave Mark a pat on his back.

“Good.” Jaehyun beamed and walked away. Mark sighed heavy. He just wanted to go back to the dorm and sleep.

Everyone arrived at the airport not long after the manager came outside. Mark had been listening to music the whole time, zoning out, skipping songs that reminded him of… that someone. He wanted to feel normal again. Sometimes he wished he never found out about his feelings for him, maybe he’d be able to be around him and not feel the need to run away. Maybe he’d be more at ease, maybe- Someone pulled out one of his ear buds. He jumped. It was Yukhei.

“Mark, we gotta go.” Mark looked at everyone walking away from him and slightly jogged up to the rest of them. He bumped into a guy taking pictures of the rest of the members and fell straight onto his ass. You’ve gotta be kidding me. He just carelessly walked into someone and is now being trampled over? It hurt like hell. People touching him, not regularly but inappropriately, trying to get his attention, people yelling in his face. He tried to get up only to fall back down again due to the amount of fans around him. He felt a pair of hands around his waist and internally screamed from being scared it was a saesang fan. He was indeed wrong, it was Taeyong.

He helped him up off the ground and pulled Mark towards him, putting both his hands on either side of his shoulders out of protection. Taeyong gave the crowd of people a dirty look and pulled Mark closer to himself. If looks could kill, they’d probably be dead by now. Why did he help Mark if he was no where near him when walking through the airport? Mark hadn’t dared to ask, afraid to make Taeyong upset any further. He kept his question to his self. Taeyong didn’t say anything, trying to get his mind off of the people who almost hurt Mark.

As soon as they were out of the paparazzi’s sight, Taeyong moved his gaze to Mark and started to search his face and his body. Mark yelped as his hands went straight under his shirt. What was he doing!?

“You’re not hurt anywhere right?” Mark gave no answer and pushed Taeyong’s hands away. He looked up at him since he was kneeling. Mark blushed, a light rosy pink dusted his cheeks as he looked away.

“I’m fine hyung. D-don’t worry about what hap-“

“No.” Mark looked at Taeyong through his peripheral vision and frayed his eyebrows together. Taeyong sighed and stood up. “I’m not gonna just forget about-“

“Hyung I’m okay. I wouldn’t lie t-to you.” Why do I keep stuttering? I know he’s beautiful but I need to keep my composure. Taeyong nodded slowly and frowned. He opened his mouth to say something but their manager called for him. Mark was grateful for that. Did he have some type of luck today even if it’s tiny? He wondered. Did Doyoung tell their manager!? No he wouldn’t, why would he? He was probably over analyzing it, he had been over analyzing things a lot lately. He sighed.

Everyone was eventually on the plane, Mark sat by himself in the back listening to music like he always did and working on his studies. He did still go to school so he had to make sure he was on top of things that involved it. He’d been falling off a bit, no one actually realized but himself. He needed to concentrate, but Taeyong is taking up his mind and is causing him to stall. He closed his laptop and tilted his head back on the seat. Get a hold of yourself! If you don’t now you’ll hurt yourself! No one can do it for you Mark! He started to get a headache from arguing with himself. He needed to throw whatever doubts and distractions he had out the window and finish his studies or he’ll end up falling behind. Mark really just wanted to go back to Canada.

They ended up in Ukraine not that long after getting on the plane. Only cause Mark fell asleep it went really fast. He was disappointed in himself for falling asleep and not finishing his work, but with his pact schedule who wouldn’t fall asleep? Their manager had explained to them that there was only 4 rooms so someone would have to share a room with him and the rest split off in to twos. Mark had a mini panic attack and almost had to excuse himself to the bathroom when their manager said that he picked the arrangements for the rooming situation. He knew that their manager would room him and Taeyong together. Doyoung looked at Mark, fear had slapped him in the face. He put a reassuring hand on his shoulder and leaned close to him.

“You’re rooming with Xuxi, I made sure manager hyung didn’t question me about why you guys should be in a room together. I mean you guys are the same age.” Mark breathed out a heavy sigh he didn’t know he was holding and smiled.

“Thanks hyung.”

“No problem, I got you.” Doyoung winked. Mark hit him slightly on his arm and laughed when he pouted. He walked to the hotel room with Yukhei, talking about some random anime he watched, he started to feel drowsy. He was used to jet lag and him constantly feeling tired but he felt drained, lifeless even. He didn’t do much that day but his internal battles had been making him feel like this. He started to drown out Yukhei, not on purpose, but due to his head pounding and lack of focus. Mark pushed the door open and flopped down on the queen sized mattress closest to him. He sighed and closed his eyes and put his arm over his face. Not a headache, migraine. He rubbed his eyes with his fists and yawned. Why was he so exhausted? He started dosing off. The mattress was so soft, comfort hugged him, inviting him in to a deep slumber. His body felt heavy, he was almost-

“Mark! You cant just fall asleep on me like that!” Mark jerked up quickly. Yukhei’s voice was loud. He stretched and yawned again.

“Sorry bro.” Yukhei gave Mark a serious look and sat next to him. Mark was started feeling nervous. Yukhei rarely ever got serious.

“Okay, spill. What’s been bothering you? Or more like who’s been bothering you.” Mark was taken back. What makes him think he’s not fine? Well he’s really not fine but he’s not telling him that. He didn’t say anything. Yukhei sighed and shook his head.

“Mark, I’m not gonna tell anyone!” Yukhei laughed. Mark turned his head in his direction and shushed him.

“Be quite! Someone might hear you!” He half whispered half yelled. Yukhei rolled his eyes and just stared at Mark till he said something. Mark sighed and pulled his knees up to his chest and put face in his lap.

“Well… How can I be sure I can trust your judgment!?”

“Mark, Doyoung hyung told me to switch rooms with Taeyong hyung. He was supposed to be in here with you and I was supposed to be with Jaehyun hyung. I know it has to do with Yongie but, I don’t know what it is exactly…” Mark didn’t say anything, instead he got his laptop out of his bag, opened it and typed out what he was gonna say without having to say it out loud. He was embarrassed. Would Yukhei think he was disturbing? Would he not wanna be friends with him anymore?

“What are you doing? Yah! Just tell me already, please!” Mark shushed him again and Yukhei apologized to him. Mark was hesitant with showing him the documents page on his laptop. One, this shit is very, very personal, two, Taeyong doesn’t know Mark’s feelings and he’s afraid he might tell him and three, it’s kinda…long. Yukhei pouted angrily and snatched Mark’s laptop from his sweaty palms. Mark gasped and hid behind a pillow that was on the mattress. Why was he so stupid? He shouldn’t have wrote all that. After awhile of silence, Yukhei moved over to Mark and gave him a hug. Mark was confused, why was he hugging him? Shouldn’t he be mad and disgusted with him?

“YOU’RE SO CUTE MARK-AH!! YOU’RE IN LOVE~~!” Mark hit him and buried his face further in the pillow.

“Stop, someone’s gonna hear you.” Yukhei managed to move the pillow away from Mark and have him look directly at him. Mark seemed tense. From the way his stature looked, he seemed some what off.

“Why would you think I’d not like you? Is it cause your gay?” Mark nodded his head softly, looking down at his hands. Yukhei rolled his eyes.

“You gotta be shittin me right? Mark, you’re the coolest person I know. You put up with my shit for one. Two you are in three subunits after all and you’re still kickin it, and three, you’re balancing all of that with school, taking care of dream, and having your own secret love life. That’s something I don’t think I would ever be able to pull off. Who gives a fuck if you’re gay? That doesn’t bother me one bit. And if it bothers anyone else then fuck them.” Mark just sat there. He was shocked. Did he really mean this? Wait of course he did. Why do I always make everything seem so damn difficult?

“Wow…Thanks, I don’t think I’ve ever actually got a compliment like that before. It feels kinda weird. Sorry for being delusional” Yukhei smiled and ruffled Mark’s hair.

“Don’t apologize bro. What makes you think you’re delusional?”

“I’ve just been so downcast lately to the point where my cognition of how I view everyone and everything has changed. I wish it hadn’t but I feel like it won’t completely change my view on things, as long as I have you guys… besides Taeyong…” Yukhei frowned. Why does Mark think like this? Yukhei wished he didn’t beat himself up about useless stuff like this.

“Why don’t you think he returns your feelings?” Mark stopped his soon to be speech and froze. Why would he return Mark’s feelings? Mark shook his head.

“He obviously likes someone else, he told me before. He said to me one day that he had feelings for someone. I asked who it was and he said he didn’t wanna tell me so I just let it go. It hurt a lot. It still hurts but I can’t control who he can and can’t date. That’s out of my jurisdiction!” Yukhei gulped and looked away. Mark’s face softened. He’d been out of pocket, he should probably apolo-

“Sorry I walked in on you guys, the door was un…locked…” Mark’s eyes widened like a dear caught in headlights. He knew that voice from a mile away. It was Taeyong.

“Hey I’m gonna go ask Sicheng something, be right back.” Mark tried to protest but Yukhei didn’t listen to him one bit. He closed their hotel door behind him and left. Mark was alone with Taeyong. He was more scared then the first time they went on stage to perform The 7th Sense. His face felt like he dipped it in boiling water he was so hot. Taeyong turned around and smiled. Mark felt like he was blinded. He was too bright. I’m gonna throw up.

“Sorry I walked in on you two having such a serious conversation, I should’ve knocked.” He was too kind for his own good, if only he knew that they were talking about him. Mark wiped his sweaty hands on his pants and watched himself do it while replying a very quick, your fine, so that he didn’t have to look at him. He felt the bed dip a little and there was heat to his right. Mark turned his head towards him but didn’t realize how close their proximity was. He backed up quickly and Taeyong laughed. His cute giggles always made Mark squeal like a teenage fangirl, but he tried to ignore it this time.

“Have you been avoiding me? Well I- I mean I’ve noticed it these past few weeks but didn’t say anything till Doyoung brought it up. He seemed like he wasn’t supposed to tell me because he had this dumb panicked look on his face.” Mark opened his mouth but words didn’t come out. He can’t lie because the evidence was right in front of him, staring at him with the cutest doe eyed expression. He sighed for what seemed like the 20th time that day and nodded. Taeyong eyed him curiously and turned his entire body towards him. Mark sat in the same position, but eventually turned his body slightly to be able to see him. He immediately regretted doing so. The look on Taeyong’s face made Mark’s whole body feel heavy. Guilt was all that he felt in his heart.

“How come…no uh.. Why did you?” Taeyong’s voice came out small, weak almost. He wanted to know what he did to make Mark upset. He wanted to fix it so that they could be okay again. Mark was on the verge of tears he wanted to run. Run all the way to Doyoung and slap him right in the face. No, he shouldn’t take his anger out on him, this was his doing, not Doyoung’s.

“I…I…” Mark couldn’t speak. If he did he’d probably cry, he didn’t want Taeyong to see the weak side of him. How was he supposed to tell someone he was in love with that he loved him when he obviously likes someone else. His eyes stung and his throat hurt from holding back tears. Mark shook his head.

“I’ve just b-been a little depressed l-lately… I’m fine now.” It wasn’t actually a lie purse, he was depressed and in his own head a lot. Taeyong sighed and grabbed both of Mark’s hands.

“But it was only me you avoided, right? Why is that? I know you probably don’t wanna talk about it but I just want you to tell me the truth. Please don’t lie to me.” That’s all it took for Mark to start sobbing. Taeyong’s arms flew around Mark quickly, his sobbing grew louder. Taeyong just hugged him, whispering softly in his ear to try and calm him down. It worked after awhile. Mark’s breathing evened out, only sniffles could be heard. Taeyong still had his arms around him, drawing invisible shapes on Mark’s back with his index finger. Should Mark really tell him? Maybe he should do this for himself for once and be greedy. He lifted his head up from Taeyong’s chest. He put a hand over Taeyong’s eyes and sighed.

“Can you not look at me w-when I say this?” Taeyong nodded and closed his eyes under Mark’s hand. He moved his hand away from Taeyong’s eyes and looked at him. He couldn’t cover up his heart anymore, especially when it came to him. Maybe it was a good thing? He was happy to be around him and that’s all that mattered, but should he really be greedy? Even if Taeyong wants to know what’s wrong with him? Wouldn’t this end their close friendship? He shook his head. He need to do this or he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night anymore.

“I…I’m…I think that, uh…I’m in l- love with y-you…” Wow, I stuttered a lot. Taeyong’s eyes fluttered open prettily. He had the biggest, brightest grin on his face and Mark thought he was blinded again. Taeyong grabbed Mark and hugged him so tight, he knocked the wind out of him and he almost couldn’t breathe. Mark tapped on Taeyong’s shoulder and he let go quickly.

“I’m sorry, did I hurt you?” Mark shook his head and the worry on Taeyong’s face was gone as soon as it came and replaced with a big grin again. Mark started to think, maybe he didn’t mind getting blinded by him after all. Taeyong grabbed Mark by his arms and made him sit on his lap. Mark started blushing. Their faces were so close. Mark could see every pore, every perfection, every imperfection. He tried to look away but Taeyong put both of his hands on either side of Mark’s face preventing him from doing so. His face flushed a deeper shade of crimson. Taeyong smiled. “Cute.”

“I-Im not cute!” Mark huffed, Taeyong laughed. He put his hand over Mark’s eyes like what he did to him earlier. Mark was confused but complied and closed his eyes. Taeyong moved his hand away from his eyes and stared at his face. He loved Mark in every single way. He didn’t realize he loved Mark till a few months ago but didn’t say anything because he thought Mark only thought of him as an older brother and nothing more. He looked down at his lips and leaned in slightly, he could only feel Mark’s breathing tickling the hairs on his face. Mark grew inpatient and opened his eyes to only find Taeyong staring back at him. He couldn’t look away though. His gaze was almost hypnotic, putting him in a trance that made him lean forward.

His eyes fluttered shut when he felt Taeyong’s lips on his. His lips were softer then he imagined. Pillow soft, making him want more. Taeyong put his hands back on his face to deepen the kiss further. Mark loved the feeling of Taeyong’s lips on his. He tasted sweet, like warm milk chocolate on a summer evening. He felt like he was in paradise, only to be interrupted by oxygen tapping on his shoulder. Taeyong was the one to pull away first, putting his forehead on Mark’s like the many times he did for Mad City, but this time Mark wasn’t as shy. He kissed the tip of Taeyong’s nose. He giggled and Mark let a squeal past his lips.

“I love you too Mark. I always have, that will never ever change.” Mark put his hands on his cheeks to cover his everlasting blush. Taeyong moved his hands away from his face.

“So…does this mean that we’re dating?” Taeyong nodded. “Only if you want to.” Mark shook his head.

“Of course I want to hyung.” Mark was as shy as ever and Taeyong found it adorable. He kissed Mark’s forehead.

“Hey, what good are those lips if they’re all the way up there?” Taeyong laughed and cupped Mark’s face with his hands.

“Do you want me to kiss you?” Mark pouted. Taeyong took this opportunity to kiss him while he was caught off guard. Mark kissed him back. Taeyong smiled to much to the point they weren’t kissing anymore. Mark pouted again.

“HYUNG!” Mark whined and Taeyong laughed again. Mark hit his chest and put his head on his shoulder. He was actually happy for once. He put his arms around Taeyong and breathed in his scent. Clean laundry and cologne. He heard the door open.

“Thank god!! Hey everyone! Markyong are together now!” Fucking Doyoung. He’d have to yell at him later and thank him. He heard murmurs in the background. He didn’t care if everyone saw him sitting on Taeyong’s lap because he felt better, mentally and emotionally. Normally he’d feel embarrassed for something like this, but if it wasn’t for Doyoung slipping up, he would have never confessed to Taeyong. It was much appreciated.

He started thinking, maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea. Maybe he shouldn’t cover up his heart and true feelings anymore, maybe it won’t be so bad with the annoying overflowing schedule of his. As long as he had his members, and now Taeyong as his boyfriend, everything would be okay.

you met at a movie theatre a few months after he debuted with astro

you were one of the workers selling popcorn, drinks, candy, etc. and you were going through a twelve hour shift because your co-worker had to go home sick

you were dead tired, with the movie theatre running overnight, but you still had to work in order to get paid

so you put on a smile and sold popcorn to the few movie-goers who came at two in the morning

at three in the morning, an hour later, a group of boys wearing masks and caps came in all at once

they had been the only people to come in after the last group

“what can i get you today?” you asked with a polite smile, pushing back a yawn

“two large popcorn, please,” the tallest one said as the others mumbled between each other

you chuckled, the obviously random response gaining the tall boy a few nudges from his friends

“and six cokes too,” another said, pulling out his wallet.

you nodded, putting their order into the cash register

as you walked away to get their popcorn and drinks, you noticed your vision going blurry for a moment

now really wasn’t the time to go sleep

you shook your head, hopefully waking yourself up a little, and filled up two large bags of popcorn

as you went to place two of the cokes on the counter, your vision blurred again

you didn’t see the box of unopened popcorn kettles sticking out until your foot collided with it

you tripped, the drinks falling from your hands

you were lucky enough to catch yourself, but the two drinks hit the counter and opened, splashing on contact

when you looked up, a feeling of dread came over you when you saw the remnants of the drink

on the tall boy

a curse left your mouth before you could stop it, a waterfall of apologies spilling out soon after

“i’m so sorry, sir,” you said frantically, your eyes darting around for napkins

when you found them, you were quick to lean over the counter and try to wipe off the growing stains on his shirt and mask

he was quick to take the mask off, bowing his head afterward as if he was hiding it from you

not even realizing how the boy was frozen to the spot, or how his friends were snickering to one another in amusement

once you realized how odd it was, and how uncomfortable the boy looked, for you -- a worker -- to be dabbing paper towels onto his front, you leaned back, chucking the used napkins in the bin

“i’m really sorry,” you mumbled, watching as he continued what you started

“it’s okay,” he reassured, looking up at you for a moment before going back to trying to wipe away the coke drops

“go to the washroom and do it,” one of the others said, pushing him away from the counter gently

you watched guiltily as he walked off, muttering an apology again, “sorry about that.”

your guilt ate at you, looking at the spilled drinks and the $16.25 that flashed on the cash register

“tell you what,” you proposed, “i’ll get you the drinks for free.”

you generally weren’t supposed to give anything for free unless there were under certain circumstances

after the spill was clean and their drinks were safely brought out, the boys were quick to head into the theatre

you didn’t see them after the movie -- your coworker had offered to take over your shift, since business was slow at such a late hour and in all honesty you looked dead tired

you felt dead tired too

you went to bed that night, feeling quite guilty over spilling a drink on a stranger

“i’ll probably never see them again,” you mumbled to yourself, frowning

the next day, your statement was proven wrong

you saw them again the very next morning

your friend texted you about a rookie group who were going to hold a concert in your town

she had extra tickets, so she invited you along

she also sent you a photo of the rookie group, making you fall of your bed

it was them

the tallest one, ‘yoon sanha’ smiled up at you from your phone screen almost mockingly

when you told your friend about the whole ordeal, she lauGhed

anyway

you did end up going to the concert, almost begrudgingly as your friend dragged you into the concert venue

and guess what?

she had snatched front row seats

lucky you

you hoped with every fiber in your being that they didn’t recognize you

the concert was really good -- you liked their music and they were all quite good at dancing

but right at the end, at the last song

they walked up to the front row to ‘sing to the fans’

and sanha just so happened to walk toward you and your friend

your friend laughed momentarily, before the fact that yoon sanha was

walking toward her and she started freaking out

you, on the other hand, tried to keep your face out of view

that didn’t work

he took one glance at you and almost laughed into the mic he was holding, having to move away right after

yikes

after the concert you and your friend were waiting outside for a cab

since the concert venue was on the other side of town from where you lived

and neither of you had a car

your friend was buzzed from the excitement of the concert, talking to you idly about it as you waited

“i can’t believe the yoon sanha looked at you! and he laughed too!”

“you make it sound like it’s something to be jealous over”

“it iS”

you just let your friend talk, kind of tired from the whole concert

you did enjoy yourself, admittedly

other than the part where you almost had a heart attack

from the corner of your eye, you saw six people leaving the venue with their heads down, closely followed by men you assumed were their managers

“is that astro--”

before your friend could even finish her sentence, you ran off and hid behind a corner

eventually, she came around and told you they were gone

the two of you took the first taxi you saw home, with you mumbling incoherently in the back

after that, you didn’t see them again

not for a while, at least

you were slowly getting into astro though, thanks to your friend who spammed you at three in the morning with their fancams

eventually, you too became an aroha

and the memory of spilling coke on sanha stuck with you

you came to some of their concerts, though you never got a chance to sit front row again, so you assumed they’d never notice your presence since you have yet to attend a fansign

almost a year later, you run into them again

you were visiting your cousin in a neighbouring town, and you were waiting at a lonesome café for him to pick you up

and lo and behold, a group of six boys come stumbling in

you had managed to run into astro a total of two times now (three, counting the concert incident)you held up the menu and duck your head, too nervous to meet their eyes

considering you were the only other customer in the café, your little ‘disguise’ was useless since their gaze went over to you anyway

right when you peeked over the menu, sanha looked over to you

he smiled kindly at first before looking away

you held your breath, willing your cousin to come faster when sanha did a double take

he nudged the male beside him, someone you now knew as myungjun, before nodding to you with a big smile on his face

when he waved, you felt like you had no choice but to wave back

but?? holy when does a fan interact with their idol like this it’s just not a likely story

they sat somewhat near you, only one table standing in between you and the group

a part of you wanted to ask for an autograph or a picture, but the other kept remembering that night at the theatre and wanting to bolt

as you contemplated your next move, you didn’t notice sanha walking over to your table

that is, until he cleared his throat

you looked up, not expecting to see sanha’s soft gaze on you, a small smile on his face

the very smile that had your heart racing with every performance, every DDOCA, every fancam

“excuse me?” he wondered, “are you the same person from the theatre before?”

you nodded mutely, your words failing you

holy shit. you were talking to your bias. c a s u a l l y. when does that ever happen?

“thank you for the free drinks,” he grinned, scratching the back of his neck shyly, “i didn’t see you when we came out, so i didn’t get to thank you then.”

his grin turned into a bashful smile, the tips of his ears turning a rosy pink

“and you were at the concert after, too. i saw you in the front row,” he giggled, “you looked cute.”

if possible, you died just a little more

your heart was racing, your face burning

yoon sanha remembered you.

the same yoon sanha also just called you cute

“thank you??” you replied, dazed

he looked down on you curiously“it’s a big coincidence, that we’re meeting here too.” he narrowed his eyes playfully, “are you stalking us?” he whispered

you, however, didn’t hear the mirth in his tone or the playfulness that shone in his beautiful brown eyes

“no no nO!” you denied, waving your hands in front of you frantically, “i wasn’t i swear! i was waiting for my cousin to pick me up!”

sanha blinked in surprise for a moment before laughing

you could hear the boys laughing as well, having been eyeing your little interaction since sanha walked over“you’re really cute,” he mumbled, more to himself than to you, “you’re an aroha, right?”you nodded slowly“i saw you at another concert -- the one last month”you gaped like a fish, not expecting that

how could he have seen you? you sat a good few rows away from the stage“before the concert started, i saw you standing outside the venue.”

he frowned, “is that… creepy?”

you were quick to shake your head, feeling slightly dizzy from the entire situation

“no, it’s fine.”

there was a moment of silence before sanha coughed

“could i… get your number?”

if you were drinking something, you would’ve spat it out right then and there

you could just barely hear the rest of astro choking on their own drinks

“wHat??”

sanha smiled, an air of confidence surrounding him “you’re interesting,” he stated, “different. it’s endearing. i want to get to know you better.”

breath didn’t come easy, with you having a mini heart attack in the middle of the isolated café

when you didn’t answer after an excruciatingly long moment, sanha’s confidence slowly diminished

“was that too forward? ah, sorry, i’ll go--”

“i’ll give it to you,” you piped, before he could move away

i mean, after all; how often does someone you love and look up to, an idol, ask for your number?

dongmin rose both brows in astonishment, surprised at the youngest’s success

“here,” you murmured, handing him an unused napkin with your number on it

then, you noticed a familiar car parking outside the café

“i have to go,” you said, packing your things

you didn’t notice the slightly crestfallen look that bestowed upon sanha’s usually bright expression, but he was quick to cover it up when you turned to him

you didn’t know what to say, and merely waved goodbye -- both to him and to the rest of astro -- before making your way out the door

and that’s how you and sanha became weird pen pals

not even an hour later, he texted you a picture of the boys making weird faces with their food, effectively making you laugh out loud

if someone told you a year ago that you’d be texting with sanha as if you were childhood friends, you’d think they were crazy

after that, he texted you at least once a week

most of the time, it’d be of funny pictures of the boys

him included

but sometimes he vented about stress

sometimes he’d tell you stories about whatever town they were in at the moment

one thing he did, was never failing to ask you how you were doing

honestly, with every text you received, you found yourself liking sanha a little more than the regular aroha would

especially when you met again.he randomly asked you if you wanted to hang out, since he was in your town again for another concert

you, of course, agreed

you met at the theatre you got a discount since you’re a worker and watched a movie

during the movie, however, you noticed sanha was doing some things

those things made your heart race faster than it ever had before

you both shared a bag of popcorn, and it was like he’d only put his hand in when you did

you even tested this theory, waiting twenty minutes before digging in

and he put his hand in at the same time

some of the movie was kind of boring, enough to get you yawning

sanha decided that it’d be smooth to yawn and do the ever so classic cliché of stretching his arms before resting one on your seat

when his fingers accidentally brushed against your shoulder, you started dying in your seat

was sanha being… flirty?

after the movie, a lot of people were coming out of the theatre, some even pushing you to get by

unexpectedly, he reached down and grabbed your hand

when you gave him a look, sanha smiled innocently, “i don’t want to lose you in the crowd.”

you nodded slowly, definitely not believing him

the two of you made it out in one piece, rushing off to a secluded area

the movie theatre was dark, so you didn’t have to worry about sanha getting recognized, but in broad daylight you had to be cautious

you sat on a bench side by side, in an area of town no one really visited“what was all of that, by the way?” you asked, raising a brow at him

“all of what?”

“the flirting.”

sanha shrugged innocently, but his pink-tinged cheeks gave him away

a smile came upon you, your lips twitching to split into a grin as you looked at him

“yoon sanha,” you asked, straightening your back, “do you like me?”

sanha coughed suddenly, not expecting your accusation

you waited for him to recover, noting the way his complexion went from pink to a bright red

“am i that obvious?” he asked sheepishly

you deadpanned, your lack of expression giving away your answer

sanha made a noise halfway between a groan and a laugh, ruffling his hair timidly

when he made no move to carry on the conversation, you smiled

“i like you too, you giant dork.”

you leaned in, kissing him on the cheek

“[Y/N]!”

and that, my friends, is how you started dating (we’re at 2.5k already pls save me)

so!! dating!! sanha!!

okay so, no matter how confident he might’ve seemed, when you started dating he got shy all over again

he was soooo not used to being in a relationship, treating you more like a really close friend than a s/o

the thought of kissing you alone was enough to bring colour to his cheeks

and holding your hand? you can bet that his heart would be racing the entire time

and his mind would be filled with ‘is my hand sweaty? omg my hand is probably sweaty’

but

we’ll get into affection later :)

so dates with sanha

they’re usually in places where he’s less likely to be recognized

or indoors

and he’s really sweet when it comes to planning them

he’s (i think so, anyway) never been in a relationship, having been too invested in training before to get a s/o

but now that he’s in one, you can bet he’s gonna go all out

in the first few months anyway

but like?? he plans everything to a The has a secret itinerary in his mind for every little thing you’re going to do

and he stresses when things don’t go the way he planned because ‘what if?? smth bad happens?? and they break up with me??’

but after you figure this out, you tell him to relax

because dating isn’t like his work schedules

and eventually, he would calm down and just go with the flow

of course, some of your dates are still planned, like anniversaries

but for the most part, the date aspect of your relationship would become quite random, with something new going on in every date

okay you can fight me on this, but kisses with sanha /normally/ wouldn’t last longer than like five/ten seconds

typically, his kisses are quick pecks, the playful ones he gives you when you’re messing around, the rushed ones he gives you before a performance, the sweet ones he gives you when you’re falling asleep

he also does eskimo kisses

oof he’d give?? the nicest kisses?like he’d be a little inexperienced, but he makes you feel so, so warm and in love in the moment

and on rare occasion, when kisses go a little beyond the usual pecks

he’s very gentle with you

for example

he’d be tickling you (or vice versa, if you’re not ticklish) and suddenly his hands would stop at your waist, his eyes boring into yours

in those moments, he thinks you’re truly ethereal

though he can be too shy to admit it

he’d find himself leaning closer to you, his eyes darting down to your lips

“may i?” he’d whisper, mere centimetres away from your face

the moment you nodded, he swooped in and brushed his lips against yours

he’d shift his body, moving closer to you as he’d cup your cheeks

the kiss itself wasn’t the best, but it was amazing regardless

sanha’s kisses made you feel at home

your first i love you came almost a year into the relationship

you were taking it slow, but you were okay with it

but in the last few weeks before the big ‘ily’, you began to get a bit self conscious

this part will tie in with fighting.

you would always hear cute first ‘i love you’ stories from your friends, online, etc. and you began to wish you could share your own story too

but you couldn’t-- it hadn’t happened yet

you were unsure at that time, insecurities filling your mind

at some point, you thought ‘what if he doesn’t love me?’right after, you felt really bad for thinking like so

sanha, for the past almost year, had done nothing but show you complete love and adoration (though, he never said it verbally) and yet here you were questioning that

you told yourself to just brush it off -- you’d exchange those three words eventually

but you found the dark thought following you wherever you went

it loomed over you, like a storm cloud that rained knives that pierced your heart

eventually, sanha noticed how your mood started getting bad

you’d be quiet, even during the times when you’d be your loudest

and your texts got shorter (you even responded with ‘k’ at some point)he was so worried

he thought he’d done something wrong

so, he confronted you about it before it could get really bad

“did i do something?” he asked one day, a dejected look glistening in his eyes “you’ve been acting… weird, lately.”

you stayed silent for a while, but before you could even stop it, ugly words scratched their way up your throat and forced themselves out of your mouth

“do you… actually love me?”

the shocked, hurt, and guilty look that followed made you feel horrible

his cheerful demeanor switched in that moment, a wave of seriousness washing over him

before you could even take back your words, sanha would have you enveloped in a hug

guilty tears welled in his eyes, his arms wrapping around you tightly, as though you’d drift away if he let go

“i do love you,” he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper, “so much. so, so much. if i could, i’d steal every star and every cloud in the sky if it meant you’d always be happy.”

you mumbled an apology, your words muffled by his shirt

“don’t apologize,” he mumbled, pulling away slightly

you wiped away his tears, sucking in a deep breath when he leaned into your touch

he held you close, kissing you softly on the lips before pressing his against your temple

“don’t ever think that i don’t love you, because i always will”

wow okay me

anyway

that got sad so lets bring it back with some fluff

you can bet your ass that you and sanha would co-own a pet in the future

when you first mentioned the topic of animals, sanha got so-so excited

“can we really get a pet?” he asked happily

after much talk and consideration, you decided to bring home a little miniature schnauzer, a pup that would stay at your house so he wouldn’t be alone when the boys went on tour

“let’s name it roha,” sanha suggested

when he did, your heart just went zyOOM

leave it to sanha to dedicate everything to arohas

his love for arohas made you so soft for him, which ended in a cuddle pile with you, sanha, and roha

eventually, you fell asleep on the living room floor, with the tired pup in between you and your hands intertwined with sanha

dating sanha would be the fluffiest thing ever

he’s always super conscious of your feelings, even though sometimes he’d catch on slowly

he’d never fail to make you laugh and smile, even in your darkest moment

she’d love you with every cell in his body, a love for you and you only

he’d gift you with the entire galaxy if he could

171119 sunggyu fm fan account

the following account of sunggyu’s recent fanmeet in taipei may get rather detailed at some point, as it is pretty much a word-for-word transcript based off my own fancams and audio recordings of both the afternoon and evening shows. just a heads-up, it is a little lengthy as more than it being something i want to share with everyone else, it is something i want to keep for myself, with as many details i can remember as possible. i will be putting in bold some of the more interesting portions in case you want to just quickly scan through it for some of the highlights. so, here goes:

2PM SHOW

when i finally got into the venue around 1.40pm, sunggyu's solo songs were blasted from the speakers one after another with a simple 'kim sung kyu mini live & fanmeeting 2017' as the background on the display screen. after 60 seconds finished playing, a little vcr (a compilation of his photos from their latest ot6 photoshoot) started playing and when it ended, the lights in the venue dimmed. everyone started buzzing as sunggyu had not come out immediately as we had thought he would and that was when he took us off-guard, walking out from the left side of the stage suavely in a blazer that made him look like a prince.

🎶 kontrol

🎶 i need you

🎶 shine

immediately when he reached the mic stand, the music for 'kontrol' started to play and the fanmeet officially began. after 'kontrol', sunggyu went on to perform 'i need u' and 'shine' immediately after. listening to 'i need u' and 'shine' live was really sgdkskzdjkd because i've never heard them both live before 'shine' made me especially emotional because it is my favourite of all sunggyu's solo songs.. at the bridge of 'shine', the part that goes '너의 목소리, 너의 그 눈빛...' he sang '그 어떤 것도 잊질 못해' in falsetto for the album recorded version of 'shine' but over here, he sang the first one in falsetto and the second one in his real projected voice (? idk the term for it i'm not a music person,, just, like, his actual voice) which was super duper amazing. after finishing these three songs, he said thank you and headed backstage for a bit to rest while the mc for the event came out. if i'm not wrong, she was the same mc who hosted the infinite only fanmeet in taipei back in february this year she's really bubbly and nice, when she came out, she warmed us up by asking some basic questions. i also want to make a quicknote that she kept calling sunggyu (小)圭圭, which translates to (little) gyugyu, which was super cute especially when she referred to sunggyu using that a lot to which sunggyu even responded to at some point sjkgdfdhdgjgh

mc: were those three songs good?

fans: yes!!!

mc: is gyugyu handsome today?

f: yES!!!!!!!!!

mc: this year is the ___ year of his solo debut?

f: fifth!!!

mc: are you excited for today's show ?

f: yEs!!!!!!

mc: how many of you are coming to both the afternoon and evening shows?

me: ME 😂

mc: gyugyu has been practising really hard for this. earlier while i was backstage, i kept hearing him going ahhh↗ahhhhh↘ahhhhh, he was doing his vocal warm-ups really seriously.

mc: have any of you watched his interview from the yesterday?

fans: yes!!!

mc: wow let me complain to you a little, did any of you see how many buttons he left unbuttoned? the audacity! anyone saw anything from the deep lowcut? yeah, a little bit of a shadow right?

after a bit more small talk here and there, sunggyu finally returned to stage. a lady translator followed shortly too. his first greetings were in korean, so the mc asked him if he had been practising his chinese, to which he said "oh, chinese? my greetings earlier? 大家好我是金聖圭 (hi everyone, i'm kim sunggyu)。" five seconds after saying this he became shy and burst out laughing, scrunching up his face a little.

mc: your members' reactions when you told them about this fanmeet, how was it like? it was a little bit cold, wasn't it? (a/n: she probably got this from the interview gyu gave the day before to taiwan press)

sunggyu: *sputtering* oh, no, um. *breaking out into high pitched embarrassed laughter* i guess it's because they believe in me? they did say something like "hyung, you'll do well" so..

mc: sunggyu mentioned he wanted to come to taiwan together with his members and film a variety together here

sunggyu: ah yes, if given the chance i would really love to come together with them and eat good food together

mc: yeah from the moment he arrives yesterday, he barely had any rest and hasn't gotten a chance to explore the streets of taipei

sunggyu: oh yes, well, my schedule just happened to be packed like this.. after the interview i went out to eat with the staff..

[ ‘sungkyu in taipei’ segment ]

after a while, they sat down and proceeded to the first segment where sunggyu has to pick an alphabet from 't a i p e i'. the alphabet he picks will give a word/topic he'll tell us more about. every time he had to pick an alphabet, he'd ponder his choice out loud and if fans were yelling anything other than what he picked, this would happen:

sunggyu: hmm

fans: e! e!

sunggyu: i'll go with t! :)

fans: p! p!!!

sunggyu: p? p??? alright, i'll pick e ^^

you can really feel the ^^ seeping out from his words and actions.. know that when i include a ^^ at the end of quoted speech from sunggyu here, it means that i felt it from his word 😂

sunggyu: i pick a!

mc: ooh, achieve! everyone, follow me. repeat after me, a!

sunggyu: a!

mc: achieve!

sunggyu: achieve!

(a/n: this was so cute all the fans went wild because he was just repeating after the mc so cutely)

q: your solo activities have been very successful thus far. are there any more goals you'd like to achieve before the end of 2017, or any dreams you'd like to fulfill?

sunggyu: basically, i feel that i've more or less accomplished most of the things i wanted to do this year. for example, i wanted to be involved in a production and release an album, so i've been working on my solo album. i've also wanted to be part of a musical, hence i'm currently participating in a musical and i hope it will be successful.

mc: so i guess you can say sunggyu is a careful planner who works effectively, right? he set a few goals for himself and he has achieved all of them within this year.

q: were there any solo or group activities from the past year that left a deep impression on you?

sunggyu: ahhhhhhh. for my first solo fanmeeting in tokyo, i was so nervous on the first day that i ended up entering the stage even before the music started playing. if there was a live band on stage with me then they could coordinate with me and start as we had the mr audio playing over the speakers instead of a live band, i couldn't do that. so i had a lot of thoughts in my head, should i stop the music and start over again, or should i go ahead regardless, although in the end, i went ahead anyway. once i returned to our hotel after it ended, i couldn't stop thinking about it and felt very sad.

mc: it just weighs down on you, doesn't it?

sunggyu: yes.. but well, it's alright, i guess? you guys weren't there to witness that anyway so i think it is okay? ^^ (a fan in the crowd signalled that she had been there too) o-oh, you were there too??

q: you have been busy with individual schedules up to now. roughly when will we be able to expect a group comeback where you will spend time together as a group with your fans?

sunggyu: firstly, infinite is preparing for a fanmeet in korea at the end of this year. right now, we aim to release an album around that time. please anticipate it a lot.

mc: as infinite's leader, could you give us a tiny little hint on the album's direction? will there be impressive choreography like before?

sunggyu: truthfully, we haven't started practising our choreography.. the dance has already been choreographed though.

sunggyu: ah no, well, thing is the members haven't had much time together till now so we have not started practising it yet. this album, because it's one that we've been preparing for such a long time, we recorded so many songs. we spent a long time pondering about the title track as everyone has many different opinions. we had a meeting just the other day and finally decided on the title track. we really hope that you will like it.

sunggyu: the next song, i actually released it even prior to my solo debut. yes, yes, that song. 'because' from over the top. the next song after this is a song called 'daydream'. it's a song written and producdd by a senior i really like and respect a lot.. ^^

listening to 'because' live was truly AN EXPERIENCE because ever since the moment i got into infinite and watched my first ever 'because' fancam, i've always thought that i would probably never get to hear it live considering how it's a solo song and such an old one at that but!!! i love it so much it used to be the one song i would loop for hours and days on end without rest.. 'daydream' was incredible too, finally witnessing rap!gyu with my own two eyes and ears probably added to my lifespan by ten years. it's not that he made a mistake or anything since he put his all into the rap but i simply just couldn't get over how cute his rap voice sounded :( speaking of this, i think they've actually had the whole song re-recorded with sunggyu's rap? i couldn't really tell if it was sunggyu instead of jongwan's voice at the part towards the end too because the speakers were right in front of me messing up my listening judgement but i'm still pretty certain tablo's part has been re-recorded with sunggyu.

[ game 1 ]

once sunggyu finished the two songs and had ample rest backstage, he returned to stage to pick ticket numbers for the games segment. let me tell you this, he was really annoying while picking the ticket numbers he would put his hand into the box (it was transparent), turn his hand here and there, grab a few tickets only to toss them aside, sweep the tickets left and right and then pick a few up at once before holding onto just one while letting the rest of them fall back into the box. how dare he play with my hopes and dreams like this.. after a few agonising minutes, of him very adorably announcing the selected ticket numbers in chinese (by repeating after the mc), the lucky fans went on stage.

this first game was a game to test for mind-link/telepathy between gyu and fans. a word would be given on stage and sunggyu, along with the three lucky fans, will have to make the same action that best describes the word simultaneously at the count of three, with the rest of the audiences as judge. they first did a trial run and after it, the mc asked the fans on stage some questions.

mc: are you nervous?

fan: yes

mc: are you confident you'll win?

fan: yes

mc: is sunggyu handsome?

fan: super handsome

sunggyu: ah, thank you ^^

the first word was their title track from infinite only, 'the eye'. they mostly did the same action, except for one fan who made a slight movement wrong. sunggyu being sunggyu, he told her "our dance isn't like that ^^ it's like this ^^” before proceeding to do a demonstration. poor fan. some of the next few words included 'bear', where he put both his palms up above his head but switched them to his fists by the side of his head instead upon seeing the other three fans' actions. even the mc couldn't resist saying "sunggyu, your 'bear' is so cute", to which sunggyu sputtered before replying shyly "ah.. t-thank you". the next word was 'hulk', where he did the cutest imitation with the cutest expression. i'm pretty sure there had been fansite previews for these. he ended up winning this game because us fans, who are biased and weak for him, were appointed the judges of the game. it's a bad combination if you asked me since we basically let him pass every round as long as our judgement was required.

oh and before each of the fans left the stage, sunggyu *initiated* hugs with them on top of the basic handshakes hdgsksjd

continuing on, the mc said they will be moving on to the next segment.

mc: okay, moving on. let's invite sunggyu to the next game segment!

sunggyu: *surprised laughter* what, there's more??

mc: you said you were the sporty kind earlier..

staff then brought the box containing the tickets out again and after a few more painful moments, sunggyu finally selected another three fans for the second game. this game was charades, where sunggyu was to first pick a random topic and words of the topic will be the questions for the day. of course, as main character of the day, sunggyu has to act out the word for the lucky fans to guess. every correct guess gains them one point and to win the game, they need five of such wins within 1 minute. the topic sunggyu picked was 'sports'. some of the words that came out included bowling (where he struck a really cool pose), dodgeball (you should've seen his face he had the most incredulous expression 😂), yoga, brisk-walking, ice-skating and water-skiing.

sunggyu won this round too since the lucky fans were surprisingly good at guessing so after the same handshake and hug routine with the lucky fans, the mc proceeded with some simple questions.

mc: what were some of the more interesting questions?

fans: brisk-walking! oh, yoga too!

sunggyu: i've actually been learning yoga these days. like, i am really taking lessons outside and all.

fans: *cheers*

mc: how about we have you do a little demo of what you've learned?

sunggyu: *flustered* ah, n-no. i'm not wearing the suitable outfit for it now..

mc: no matter, we'll get sunggyu to remove these clothes and change later, okay?

sunggyu: hmm… firstly, in 2018, of course we’ll work hard with the release of a new album. i’m practising hard for our concerts as well. infinite concerts, my solo concerts as well, both are in the midst of preparations. it seems like we’ll be able to meet each other a lot at such concerts next year? i hope you will look forward to it a lot. i’ll be in a musical from end of this year until january next year too so i wish for your support in this as well. i feel like i didn’t do as much as i wished to this year, in part due to health considerations. so next year, irregardless of my stamina, i hope i can participate in more acitivities and boost my career even further be it in variety or music. i hope to have your support in these future activities, thank you.

at the end of the song, the screen turned black and what seems to be a hand-written message by sunggyu flashed on the screen. it was personally signed off by sunggyu, stroke by stroke in chinese characters .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. the message read:

which can be translated to:

“the times i spent with you, i will always treasure them.”

for the 2pm show, my friend and i joined the hitouch queue almost immediately after the queue was formed as we were both really hungry. i barely ate breakfast that day and although my friend did eat something, it was already nearly 4pm while the last time we actually ate was before 8.30am. the hitouch queue moved pretty fast, as the organisers were really rushing people. it’s to be expected i guess, since he has to hitouch the entire crowd of 2,000 fans :(

so fast forward to finally getting to hitouch him, it was simply amazing ｡ﾟ( ﾟஇ‸இﾟ)ﾟ｡ his hands were really, really, really, really, really soft. i have literally never touched hands these soft. i can’t emphasize enough how soft they were, and how i mean it in every sense of the word, without any exaggeration, because they were really!! that!! soft!!!! he might’ve applied some handcream while he was backstage or something, i don’t know, but it was just really, really soft and i bet anyone else who hitouched sunggyu that day can vouch for this. the closest thing this soft i’ve ever touched would be a baby’s skin, baby’s cheeks in particular. please believe me when i say it really was that soft because it really was thaaaat soft. his hands really aren’t just for show. they don’t just look beautiful, they ARE beautiful. this aside, it was also a little damp? maybe he has sweaty palms.. or it was from hitouching a few hundred fans before me 😂 whatever it is, that moment seriously felt like one of the peaks of my inspirit career? the past six years that i’ve been here for this man, this is the first time i’m getting this close to him, being able to touch his hand. it was an emotional moment!! i was barely holding myself together after it but the first thing i recall saying was “was that for real? his hands are so??? soft????” to my friend. 😂

sunggyu: actually i anticipate everything. but one thing i anticipated the most was performing my solo songs for fans in taiwan since i have never been able to do so before ever since the release of my solo albums. it’s been a while since some of these songs were released but being able to perform them for fans in taipei despite the fact that some time has passed is something i looked forward to.

mc: speaking of your solo album, it seems like your new solo album is under preparations, is that right? (a/n: the mc’s exact words when suggesting the possiblity of his solo album being under preparation were “好像似乎貌似很像” and i can’t explain this but it was so funny 😂 chinese speakers will probably understand lmao)

sunggyu: yes, yes, that’s right. actually, i have already wrapped up the recording for my solo album a while ago. there’s quite a number of songs as compared to before as i wanted to make it a more meaningful one.

fan: when is it coming out!!

sunggyu: uh, early next year?

q: what are some of the factors that continue to motivate you in the pursuit of your passion?

sunggyu: well, if are speaking about passion, i must say it’s inspirits.. really. of course, there is a sense of self-satisfaction being able to do what i like. it's because of inspirits that there are people listening to my songs, supporting me. if i were to release an album now without the knowledge that there is a group of people out there who will definitely be supporting me, i guess i wouldn't feel too good in some way? but now, because i know that there are people anticipating me, people who often support me in my performances, people who will listen to my album well, i feel that owing to them, i can continue moving forward with this passion and put in lots and lots of effort into everything i do. (a/n: because it was a long translation, he kept nodding at everything the mc said. he looked like those bobblehead toys that run on solar power it was seriously so cute fans kept cooing everywhere.)

sunggyu: firstly, dancing? i would say dance is one of those things. since it’s been a while since infinite has done anything as a group, i think it would feel nice being able to promote and perform together as a group with a new album and new songs. actually, if we were to start having activities together as a group, i would also look forward to sungjong’s hair color. in fact, what sungjong’s hair color will be would be the thing i look forward to the most. he’s had tried many different colors before. this time…

q: you've been an idol for seven years and a solo artist for five, successfully maintaining your popularity both domestically and abroad. are there any secrets to your success?

mc: any secrets to being a superstar?

sunggyu: hm, to be a superstar.. *laughs* well, i suppose you have to have a very good-looking appearance *laughs* hmm…

when picking the numbers for lucky fans to go on stage and play games, he called for 八四二/842 (cn romanization: bā-sì-ér) when he meant to say 八十二/82 (cn romanization: bā -shí- èr) due to a slightly wrong pronunciation.. the number of heartbreaks or should i say heart attacks? he caused that day…. the topic he picked this time round was ‘animals’ so some of the questions were cats, hamsters and rats. at one point, he was really desperate because the fans have not managed to guess much correct answers so when trying to describe ‘hamster’, he bucked out his teeth like that of a rabbit’s and put his hands in front like they were paws before pointing at himself and IT WAS SO CUTE. right after ‘hamsters’, the word that came out was ‘rats’ and he had a total mental breakdown right there because while ‘hamsters’ was already a difficult stage to pass, they are now asking for ‘rats’, which have little to no difference in the ways you can imitate it to describe it. when this game finally ended, he did his handshake + hug with the lucky fans too and he burst out laughing after the last lucky fan whispered something to him. turns out, she told him that there were lots of nightclubs around that area 😂

after the second game ended where sunggyu lost terribly,

sunggyu seemed to be enjoying the fanmade video, there are a number of fancams of his reactions to it on youtube. i personally felt that the video was touching and almost teared up too :( of course, it was not just the video, it was the whole atmosphere in the concert hall. the video included performances of sunggyu’s three solo title tracks and when they started playing, the crowd started singing along and it was a really beautiful moment. as a fan who was part of the crowd, i got goosebumps myself and it really makes me wonder how sunggyu felt watching it. once the video ended, i thought sunggyu sounded a little different. i personally thought he might’ve choked up a little before recovering quickly although i wasn’t too sure but a friend of mine said she suspected the same as well so who knows? i wonder what other fans thought.. anyway, just as he started speaking, staff brought in a cake specially prepared by taiwan fans and sunggyu sputtered a bit before laughing shyly.

sunggyu: ah, i don’t know how to say this well. it’s really embarrassing. *shy laughter* actually, i myself often forget the fact that this day is my solo debut anniversary as well. it just so happens that today, i can celebrate it with you and i am really thankful for this opportunity. more importantly, being able to make a solo debut, meet my fans, have an event like this, all of this, it is all thanks to infinite. i'm really really thankful for infinite. it was because i made my debut as a part of infinite that i can stand on stage like this today as a solo performer. infinite gave me the opportunity to express myself in many ways and show different sides of myself like the one i'm showing as a solo artist here today. it’s been five years now, so in the future, maybe ten years or if possible, twenty years, i hope there will be more chances to spend time like this with you in the future. we’ll be meeting at hitouch later again, you know that, right? i’ll perform the last song for you now, then.

(a/n: this made me reaaaaaaaaaaaally emotional i think i actually teared up. the way sunggyu said this, voice dripping with 100% pure sincerity without the slightest trace of playfulness at all, it was an absolutely beautiful moment. i’m sure the entire crowd thought the same, judging by the collective ‘awww’ that sounded the moment sunggyu said that. if i had to pick the most unforgettable moment in my entire day there, this has to be it. this tops everything else, it tops seeing his aegyo attempts, listening to him singing because/shine live for the very first times, hitouching him both times, all of it doesn’t compare to this moment. immediately after he said it, the music to ‘the answer’ came on along with the lights and there on his face too, the most beautiful smile. personally, i think it was the video that really boosted his mood. he just had this happy glow around him after it and this was probably behind what became the happiest performance of ’the answer’ ever. throughout his final performance of ‘the answer’, he was all smiles, shaking his head, swaying his body from side to side, just being really.. happy. or maybe he was just really happy he could finally go home. although i’d like to believe it was the former. 😂)

two hours later for the 6pm show, my friend and i decided to drag our hitouch out a little longer this time unlike for the afternoon show as it meant we could stand there watching him just a little longer since god knows when we can see him again. one thing i’ve observed about sunggyu during these hitouch sessions is that he was really sincere in his gestures and expressions. despite having to hitouch a total of 4,000 fans that day, his smile never once faltered or became awkward, as one might expect when you’re tired or when you’ve been smiling too long? his smile is always there on his face and when there are fans brave enough to say something to him before being dragged off by staff, he gives really genuine reactions. as i had watched him a lot longer for the evening show, i’ve seen him reply to fans and laugh with them as and when anyone of them tells him anything. it was such a warm sight to witness.

when it was finally my turn to hitouch him again for the evening show, i got my act together and told him ”happy solo anniversary!” in english, and i’m pretty sure i must’ve said it too fast due to the staff’s pressing presence which made me super nervous. sunggyu was stunned for a couple of moments, his head went back a bit and he blinked a couple of times with a zoned out expression, before giving a little smile and nodding. jfhjskfhkslsjdk. i am so bringing this moment to my grave.

this is where my fan account finally ends. thank you if you have read through every word from start to end, misspelled words and grammatical mistakes and all. being able to attend this fanmeet has made me really really happy and i hope one day, everyone else will have a chance like this as well to see for yourself how great a guy kim sunggyu really is!
