IN WHICH … VENUS wins Artist of the Year.

FEATURING … VENUS ENSEMBLE

TRIGGER WARNINGS … None! The girls cry, but that's about it! It's a happy moment for them 🤍

"Artist of the Year goes to..." The pause the announcer takes, leaves the girls on the edge of their seats, all their eyes big and full of hope as they watch the stage. Jiah and Chloe hold hands tightly while Yoonah has her hands linked together tightly as if she's praying; Bliss mimics her stances but with a more stressed look in her eyes as Sena picks at the fabric of her dress anxiously.

"Venus! Arist of the year!" Claps fill the arena as the girls sit in shock as the news settles in. The girls look between each other in shock, Yoonah slowly arising to her feet, ushering her girls to follow. The other four rush to stand, bowing to their colleagues who clap for their achievement as Venus makes their way to the stage, waving to the cameras and crowd but still clearly in shock.

Once they get on stage, Yoonah bows and takes the heavy trophy with a deep bow. When she rises, she looks behind her at the girls with a dropped jaw, still in shock at the fact they won yet another award. One of the most important of the night. Jiah laughs at Yoonah's gawking, covering her mouth as the get in their usual formation.

Yoonah has to adjust the microphone so it's at level with her. She takes a deep breath, smiling brightly as she looks around before counting down from three quietly.

"Forever one! Hello, We're VENUS!" The girls say their introduction in unison, bowing in unison as well as the crowd continues to clap and cheer for them. Yoonah and Jiah watch the crowd with the usual admiration in their eyes, Yoonah lifting the trophy up and shaking it cutely.

"Woo! Wow!" Yoonah cheers into the microphone with a slightly shaky laugh. "We've won so many awards tonight. Every time I get up here, it's like my heart is beating in my throat and I forget all my words...I'm just so grateful that we were able to make our comeback together as five." Yoonah takes a pause, smiling even though her eyes begin to fill with tears. She looks away as Bliss rubs her back, tilting her head and looking off at the audience to avoid crying herself.

"I've always been proud of the progress we have made as VENUS, but to be awarded for it means a lot to me. I'm very proud of us and our team for coming back stronger than ever. I need to thank my mom, my dad, and our amazing producers and managers, and I also want to thank Flowerbank Entertainment for always supporting us and giving us the freedom to express ourselves in a warm and safe environment. Thank you so much." Yoonah delivers the rest of her speech with no tears shed and with a calm composure, bowing once again.

She moves out of the way for Chloe to step to the microphone next, dabbing her eyes as she does so before laughing when Bliss holds her shoulders. Chloe waves cutely to the crowd, met with a wave of cheers as she adjusts the microphone to be lowered so she can speak into it.

"Thank youuuu~ constellations!" Chloe cheers cutely into the microphone, putting one finger on her full cheek before standing up straight to get serious. "We're very honored to take home another Daesang, especially one so special! Artist of the Year! That's amazing! Especially since we were nominated against so many other amazing artists. It was a pretty rocky road for us this year, but...Um," Chloe feels herself getting choked up despite being one of the more composed members, covering her mouth as she tries to hold her tears back. She shuts her eyes as a quiet sob leaves her lips, causing the others to reach over and comfort her. Yoonah rubs her back as Jiah and Sena squeeze her arms with quiet words of encouragement.

Chloe lifts her head, dabbing her eyes with the back of her hand. "Um...I'm just happy we're still together. Thank you to everyone who kept us together, and thank you so much for this award." Chloe concludes with a nod, wiping her cheeks as Jiah steps to the microphone, adjusting it so it's tall enough again.

"I want to thank-ah!" Jiah interrupts herself, becoming overcome with emotions, slapping her hand over her mouth and whipping herself around to hide herself from the camera. The rest of the girls laugh, Chloe and Sena, rubbing her back as Yoonah wraps her arms around her in a tight hug, and Bliss pats her head with teary eyes. Sensing Jiah isn't going finish her speech, Bliss takes the award from Chloe and moves to the microphone, the most composed of the bunch.

"We are so very grateful for this honor. We want to thank our beautiful team, our families, and our amazing constellations because we wouldn't be here without you guys! We have so much in store for next year, and we can't wait for you all to see it! Thank you so much!" Bliss concludes their speech with a beaming smile and wave. The girls bow together one last time before they walk off stage, dabbing their eyes with accomplished smiles on their lips.

i'm very happy to recommend poetry!!! i have a ton of recs but am going to keep it to contemporary poets i've been reading recently just to keep this manageable haha

i'm gonna recommend specific poetry collections, and if you can purchase them that would be great to support the poets and the small presses that tend to publish them, but if you can't afford to or don't live somewhere where you can access them, you can also search their names and find some of their work online

birthright, george abraham

i don't think i've ever read a collection that has hit me this hard. george abraham (they/he/هو) is a queer palestinian american poet, performance arist, and writer who was born and raised on unceded timucuan lands (jacksonville, FL). birthright is their debut collection, and its title is based on the idea of the "birthright" trips that israel funds to bring young jewish adults to israel and indoctrinate them into becoming zionist settlers. the collection is based around abraham's own trip to palestine, the "inverse of birthright", and it is absolutely stunning. the way they write about the grief and fury of the colonized, about gender, about memories and history and palestinian liberation, is gorgeous and heartbreaking and utterly galvanizing.

once, a language failed me & i hadn't a home to claim it in my own throat— in Arabic, the word for tonsil translates to daughters of the ears—we are taught that to have a body is to carry its lineage inside of us— & i've tried to make a language where my blood was just mine—but my tongue rejected it. spat it out like a mouthful of Arabic—maybe it was defense mechanism; maybe this is how i cough up blood [ translation: how i cough up History ] - "Lexicon Of"

romeo oriogun is a queer bisexual nigerian poet born and raised in lagos, who now lives in the united states. sacrament of bodies is a powerful collection about grief - both his parents died when he was young; about the violence of both homophobia and colonialism; about love and sex and desire and more. sacrament of bodies was his first full collection after publishing several chapbooks; his most recent collection is the gathering of bastards, which i have not yet read.

I do know about the hate that sinks a name and turns water into homes drowning boys, I cannot speak because my mouth is a grave. Every day men hurting bodies filled with love are praised as heroes are hailed as saviors opening bodies into fields eaten by locusts. - "Departure"

The cast of Fire Emblem 3 Houses as Pro Wrestlers: The Golden Deer

The last of the three houses at the Officer's Academy, Fodlan's own AEW to the Black Eagles and Blue Lions' WWE.

Hilda Valentine Goneril: Claude's retainer is always happy to boss people around, so the easy comparison for the pink haired girl would be Alexa Bliss, but her deep but hidden commitment to her friends and a mean streak hidden under all that makeup and jewelry make me think of Dark Order's lieutenant at their peak: Anna Jay.

Lorenz Hellman Gloucester: with an air of authority, a stiff upper lip, a refined personality and a surprising capacity for violence, the future leader of County Gloucester is none other than William Regal.

(Considering the fact that in Verdant Wind and Silver Snow, Leicester ends up being part of the greater Unified Fodlan, if Lorenz ends up in control of what used to be the Alliance, he'd very much be in a role like Regal's when he was general manager of NXT)

Leonie Pinelli: as a prospective mercenary, Leonie is an outsider to the social structure of knighthood, so it would be completely reasonable for her wrestling counterpart to also be an outsider. Ronda Rousey sounds like the perfect match for Leonie, even if I do think Leonie has the mental fortitude to stick with MMA instead of changing careers like the "Baddest Woman on the Planet" did.

Marianne von Edmund: this young woman cursed with the Crest of the Beast is normally very kind, soft spoken and reserved. But, as shown on rare occasions in game, sometimes her crest does manifest itself, granting her incredible strength and ferocity. Keeping with this theme of being gentle outside of battle and fierce once in it, I would say Marianne would adopt a different persona in ring, so my two personal picks for her counterpart would be either Rosemary or Abadon.

(Marianne and Mercedes as a tag team like Rosemary and Allie were in Impact would be awesome.)

Ignatz Victor: this bespectacled young man is, to be perfectly honest, a bit of a weenie. Despite this, he's quite capable as an artist, and post-timeskip he's handsome to boot. An unconventional pick for him, but fellow ariste, wannabe casanova and total weenie Ryan Nemeth.

Lysithea von Ordelia: with her life severely shortened by the experiments done on her by the Slitherers, this young warlock wants to squeeze as much as possible out of her time left, often disregarding her health in the service of her country and friends, especially during the post-timeskip period. There are no easy comparisons to a member of the women's rosters at WWE or AEW, but her willingness to risk life and limb in battle is very much like Darby Allin.

(that's two Golden Deer with face paint gimmicks, even if they're vastly different)

Raphael Kirchner: let's set the scene: Dimitri Alexander Reigns is gloating about his recent success beating the piss out of a jobber, stating that he'll take the fans' dreams and kill every last one of them. Suddenly, a voice rings out from the entrance ramp: "I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!" Enter Raphael Kirchner, the Monster Among Men. Braun Strowman could not find a better stand in to throw office chairs at the Big Hog Dog in Fodlan.

(And to reinforce my belief that these two are connected by screaming, just look at Ralph's supports with Flayn. He's a big ol dude who loves to SCREAM)

Just a different ethnicity, that's all, and slightly different clothing style. Nothing important, just enough to go, "Oh, that's different than what I pictured - neat!" And, frankly, I think it'd be cool to see them drawn as all sorts of different ethnicities and body types and stuff. I adore characters where everyone has their own interpretation of exactly what they look like, especially if they're also supportive of other peoples' designs (part of why I love The Stanley Parable fandom - so many different concepts for the Narrator, all of them wonderful). :)

Besides, you got their vibe, and the vibe of their story idea, down pat, and that's the important thing for drawing characters like this anyway! They look like people who would do all the things they've been described as doing in the thread, they look like they would fit in that story. And you did that without any idea of how I, the OP, personally picture them - how cool is that?!

recent example: original author of this does not wish their works to be posted elsewhere:

the link leads to pixiv only, of course, so clicking on "source" won't show you what author thinks about grabbing their art.

please, especially other writers, be mindful what you put on your blogs, check if that pretty fanart really belongs to a person who put it on tumblr. it's easy to recognize: style that changes from art to art, lack of personalised tags, links to source that says nothing about given permission etc.

don't do to other creators what you would hate to be done with your work.

I think that dick and babs are going to get married and because Dc writers will not let anyone be happy, they will have someone ruin the wedding and then they will break up. I hope it doesn't happen tho!

I'm still not sure whether they will get married or not ( although, Dick's comment " not yet" implies that he wants to marry Babs in the future). I do know this though: Those two will continue being a couple for a long time.

Nightwing's writer and main arist both stated in an interview that they aren't interested in love triangles and cheap drama. Instead they want to write about two people being in a healthy and supportive long time relationship.
