how do u picture Leto (pjo)? like ik gods look how they want, but do u think that Apollo or Arty may keep some of their features to resemble hers, or vice versa??
I think that even if gods can look however they want, they do have some sort of "original form" that is influenced by their family. For example, technically Artemis and Apollo never met Koios, since he was imprisoned in Tartarus long before their birth, but according to Percy, Artemis has his cold eyes and Apollo has his smile, which means that hereditary traits in gods ARE indeed a thing in the rrverse. Either that or they modelled their features after Leto and Leto modelled hers after Koios, which would have some really interesting implications in regards to her loyalty to Zeus. ANYWAY
This is to say that I do think that they look like her to some degree. I imagine that Apollo has her light eyes and hair and her warm skin, but is overall different from a structural point of view, while Artemis keeps Leto's softer shapes in her child form
As for Leto herself, according to Theoi she's the goddess of motherhood and protector of the young, so I always imagined her to have some sort of motherly presence. She's comforting and she looks like the kindest of souls and even if you don't know her you know that you can trust her 💕 hopefully her clothing shows that too
I think the real reason Hera decided to literally "Kidnap" Percy, other than helping save Olympus was to annoy the crap out of Annabeth and all the other demigods..
She is just like, "How dare you puny little mortals go against me!? I'm literally a goddess, you assholes!! How about I kidnap your fucking leader?! Now what you gonna do, huh!? " and take her sweet revenge after Annabeth lectured her (goddess of marriage) on the concept of a perfect family (or something like that)
I honestly imagine her going all crazy and shit..!!
I am obsessed with Artemis Entreri that I've gone as far as designing a plush of him.
I referenced Lockwood's art of him as well as his sprites from Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, and took a few artistic liberties here and there to make him easier to make.
IMO, Artemis i, ii, and Angeline are codependent in a way that doesn't result in yelling matches per se, but rather codependent in the sense of, “I love you so much I want to put you in a snow globe and look at it for hours in a quiet room”.
On the one hand, Artemis II acts like he's the parent despite being 15-17 — and then on the other hand, Angeline and Artemis I see every awful thing that happens with the People as if it were happening to Artemis circa age 6.
All this is complicated by Artemis being thee baby of the family/the Original Heir***. There’s a tension in Artemis thinking that he needs to puppeteer his parents for the good of The Family, whereas his parents hold that maybe the world did end when Artemis died (TLG) and to pretend otherwise is insane.
***"Thee baby" not in the sense of youngest or most infantilized. Of course, in TEC, Fowl Sr grieves at the sight of the adult-like Artemis in front of him during the hospital visit, as does Angeline in TAI during a phone call.
Rather, I joke about this in the sense that like... Angeline and Artemis I never get to see Artemis grow up. Not to mention, Artemis was born into an era of the Fowls where it would be reasonable to worry that someone would do ill by Artemis to hurt the family due to him being the only heir (at the time). Myles and Beckett are born into a wholly different world than Artemis was. So much of the anguish over Artemis has to do with that context!
In the pjo universe, do you think kaito would be the son of apollo or poseidon? because I think him being a demigod of apollo is the most correct (it suits him too much, it's scary), but the idea of him being the son of the god of the sea with afraid of FISH doesn't get out of my head... besides I think he's visually similar to percy and they have the same boldness.
I think shinichi would be the son of hades (it matches but at the same time breaks a stereotype).
I thought about Heiji being the son of Ares and Saguru being the son of Athena, just like Haibara (but I haven't thought much about it yet).
him afraid of fish being the son of the sea god it's so ironically good
Edit: Children of Apollo are artists, some can use their voices to curse and can even control sound waves. Kaito has already proven that he has a powerful voice and he sees himself as an artist. And let's face it, Kaito is as bright as the sun.
I didn't want to put him as the son of Hermes because it would be something so superficial "the god of thieves" kaito doesn't even like to steal, he said that himself. KID does fit with Hermes but Kaito doesn't.
My favourite headcanon is how Apollo looks like his father but behaves like his mother while Artemis looks like her mother but behaves like her father.
What if Zoe Nightshade or some other hunter of Artemis had come across Hazel when she was on her way to Alaska in the 40’s and been like, “Oh. Oh no. I have to help her.”
So she joins and is under Artemis’s protection and that’s how she time capsules herself into the 21st century. She gets adventure and friendship and understanding instead of 80 years of Asphodel.
