Hey fam, tonight’s post is going to be about online safety. A little while ago I was browsing Pinterest, and I stumbled upon this. I was shocked to see myself, but then even more shocked when I looked closer. Someone with a head shaving fetish had stolen my picture, made a fake ‘before and after’ of a head shave, and put it on Pinterest for others to share. Unfortunately it is a risk we take when we post our pictures online. But this once confident post of mine about dealing with hair loss has been turned into an unsettling fetish creation. These people take advantage of our alopecia in an uncomfortable way, so if you’re concerned of your photos being taken and used inappropriately, maybe consider making your account private if it’s not already. And if you see anyone using an obvious alopecian in shit like this - report it! I received some discouraging health news on Thursday..... I have more tests next week AND I am trying hard to stay positive. However, satan has such a good way of bringing me down. I was struggling last night and just didn’t feel well. Work was tough but I ended the day on a good note BUT I went to bed feeling horrible and thinking “I could cancel my swim lesson (heck, I already paid for it and it is just one...I can miss it right??)”..... I prayed a lot and even cried a little.... but I know that God is sooooo in control and he has been preparing me for a lot of really good things to come.... . I woke up this morning and actually felt really good. I was surprised. So I strapped on my shoes and hit the gym. I ended up doing a 12 minute swim test (last time I tried I only made it 6 minutes)... this time I finished and went 550 yards! The farthest I have swam without stopping (that is a big deal because 4 weeks ago I could barely go 25 yards without stopping). My coach was so proud! And then I went on to run an hour and hit my best 10k split. . So TAKE THAT satan! I will RISE every morning and SLAY the day! You have no power over me! You can’t take away the things I enjoy and that make me feel good.
