Cowboy James 🤠
Inspired my @regulusmydarlin here's the one where Reggie finally cracks 🤗
Previous part first part
~
"Has anyone ev'r told ya you're gorgeous?" James pondered, running a finger along the side of Regulus's face.
"You have. On multiple occasions, if I recall correctly." Regulus replied, eyes still on his book.
"Y'do indeed." James replied with a grin. "An' I'm gonna keep doin' it." He added, flicking a silky black curl. Regulus sent him a little side-glare, and James chuckled.
"Honestly, though, darlin', how could I not tell you over n' over? Ev'ry time ah see you, ah’m flabbergasted at how darn pretty y'are."
Regulus scoffed.
"Real smooth, Potter." He droned. James smirked.
"What, d'ya want me t' go inta detail? Would that convince ya?"'
"If it would make you happy, go right ahead, nosy." Regulus encouraged, still fondly holding onto that nickname.
"Mmm, alrigh'. T’ start, y’r hair is gorgeous," James began, twirling a curl around his finger. " 's so shiny and bouncy, an' y'look divine when y'laugh or turn 'round, it alw'ys bounces n' lands perfectly. Your hands, god, th’r the prettiest hands ah’ve ever seen, ah honestly don' un’erstand. Th'r thin and delicate and y'r skin overall is jus' such a pretty, markable compl'xion..." James trailed off, observing Regulus. The man still hadn’t reacted, staring downward, though James could tell he was no longer actively reading; he was listening intently.
"And don' even get me started on y'r lips, darlin'. Th'r sinfully stunnin', so pink and jus' the perfect plumpn'ss, ev'ry time I look at you I jus' wanna kiss ya. I wanna bite 'em and make 'em all swollen and shiny... s'pose tha's a bit off topic..." James trailed off with a smirk. He caught a little tick at the corner of Regulus's mouth.
"Then th'rs your waist, y'r whole damn body, with y'r long limbs n' pretty legs and that fuckin' arse... ah mean, Christ almighty, if ah wasn' a sinner before ah met you..." the cowboy didn't even finish the sentence, but Regulus got the implication. It was getting harder for James to focus. Pointing out all these rather delectable things about Regulus, sitting right next to him, made it hard to not simply shut up and devour the man.
"But ah think my fav'rite’s gotta be y'r eyes." He spoke, and he noticed Regulus's posture straighten slightly. The younger man hadn't expected this.
"Ev'ry time ah look into y'r eyes ah feel like 'm drownin'. Ah've nev'r seen nothin' like 'em, really. Th'r like a storm an' a silver bullet at the same time, all steely and sparkly and just fuckin' stunnin’. Ah could look into y'r eyes fr'vr, sugar." James's voice had dropped, but it was soft. Like he was getting lost just talking about Regulus's eyes.
Apparently, that was the key.
James’s face split into a delighted grin as he watched a blotchy red spread across Regulus's cheeks and exposed neck. Unable to help himself, he leaned in, pressing his lips to the red spots.
"So tha' was all it took, huh? Ah feel like ah jus' foun’ the 8th world wonder." James drawled cheerily, and Regulus rolled his eyes, but was still furiously blushing. James leaned forward again, sucking more red marks onto his neck.
"Maybe, if ah mark y'up, tha' pretty blush will last fr'ver." James murmured, dragging his tongue over Regulus's Adam's apple to the other side. Regulus shivered slightly, and he felt James's grin against him.
"Watcha think 'bout that?"
"I think Sirius would kill you." Regulus hummed, but he tilted his head back to give the cowboy easier access.
"Ah think 's worth it if ev'ryone else would know y'r mine." Regulus turned his head slightly, and James paused.
"Am I yours?" He questioned, not looking directly at James.
"D'ya wanna be?" James asked in response, and Regulus bit his lip.
"Yes."
"Then tha's that." James stated, but his grin stretched from ear to ear. He pulled Regulus in for a proper kiss this time, licking into his mouth hungrily. Regulus let out a huff of air, throwing his book on a nearby chair and pulling James down towards him.
"Now," James broke away to pant, hovering over Regulus. "What do ah hafta do to make y' blush all over like that?" He murmured, voice growing husky. Regulus groaned, pulling him down again, and James spent the rest of the night finding out.
~
"Hey, pretty." James drawled as he walked into the room, where Regulus and Pandora were sprawled on the couch. As he said it, he made direct eye contact, his gaze intense. And just like that, Regulus was a red as a tomato. Pandora gasped.
"Holy shit!" She exclaimed, before clapping a hand over her mouth.
"Sorry!" She squeaked, and James laughed, a rumbling chuckle from his chest.
"Don' worry, doll, 's nothin' ah have'n heard before." James said, and Pandora blushed.
"Right, of course. Sorry, just... I've never seen Regulus flustered. Ever. I didn't even know he could blush!" She declared, and James laughed again.
"Took me a secon' t’ figure it out, too." He admitted, plopping down on the couch next to Regulus, who was pointedly ignoring the charming man next to him.
"Aww, Reggie's all hot and bothered!!" Pandora cooed, and the man sent her a glare. She burst into a fit of giggles, which was soon joined by James's hearty chuckle.
"I hate you both."
~
"Howdy, Sirius." James greeted as he walked into the bar, followed by Regulus.
"Well hey there, partner." Sirius replied, grinning as he wiped out a glass. "And Reggie! What are you two doing together?" Sirius wondered, and James shot a look back at Regulus.
"Well, ah was jus' comin' here t' see ya, when ah ran into lil Reggie here in the parkin' lot." James drawled, and Regulus heavily resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
"Oh, how funny!" Sirius commented, setting the glass down and leaning his arms on the bar. "Hope he wasn't too rude to you." He added, sending a warning look at his brother, who did roll his eyes this time.
"Aw, naw, he's been a righ’ angel." James replied, smirking at the smaller man. Sirius scoffed, sweeping a glance at Regulus.
"I don’t know who you met, but I don't think it's my brother." He grumbled, and James laughed.
"Don' worry, he's been plen'y polite. Very gentlemanly." James assured Sirius, and Regulus had to hold back a laugh. He didn't think anyone would find him or James very gentlemanly if they knew what the two had been getting up to over the past few days.
Sirius shrugged, taking the towel off his shoulder and grabbing another glass.
"Well, I have to tend to some folks, but let me know if you're feeling thirsty." He said with a wink, before moving to the other end of the bar.  James scooted over closer to Regulus, so they were shoulder-to-shoulder.
"Real subtle." Regulus murmured, letting his gaze travel around the bustling bar, not the gorgeous hunk next to him. He couldn't be too obvious with Sirius only a few feet away, whether he was busy or not.
"Right?" James agreed, and Regulus sighed. "Y'know, y'look even prettier under these dumb lights. Ev'ryone else looks all weird n’ wash’d out, but y'look like a damn vision. An' y'r eyes just reflect all the colors, it's stunnin’." James commented, and Regulus could feel his cheeks heat. He could also, suddenly, feel his brother’s eyes on him. He turned his head, locking eyes with similar grey ones, which were soon moving closer.
"Are you blushing?" Sirius asked, astounded.
"No." Regulus snapped, trying to step away from James as casually as possible. "Must be the lighting."
It didn't work.
"Mm, no, you're definitely blushing! And you two were standing awfully close... James, are you fucking my baby brother?" Sirius questioned, in true, blatant, Sirius Black fashion. The cowboy answered without hesitation.
"W're datin', actually." Sirius's jaw dropped open.
"So this is where you've been going?" He screeched to Regulus, gesturing wildly at James.
"Yes..." Regulus replied, sheepish.
"And you didn't tell me?" Sirius's voice was only rising in pitch and volume.
"Listen," James cut in, placing a hand on Regulus's lower back. Sirius tracked the movement, and Regulus couldn't quite read his face. "Ah know he's y'r baby brother, an' y'r protective, but—"
"Whoa, whoa. Yeah, I wish he was still a baby. But I have no misconceptions about Regulus's lack of virginity and all. I know he dates and fucks. Hell, he told me the first day he met you how badly he wanted to fuck you." Sirius rambled, and Regulus shot him a death stare as James looked down at him smugly.
"I'm offended because Regulus didn't tell me. How could you not spill that you were hitting this?!" Sirius exclaimed, gesturing to the cowboy next to Regulus, who grinned.
"Because you told me not to!" Regulus cried out, throwing his hands up in the air. He wasn't a generally expressive person, but when it came to Sirius, he gestured a lot.
"Yes, as a rebound. But since you agreed to date him, clearly you're in a better state than I thought. I'm proud of you, baby bro." Sirius grinned, holding out a fist to Regulus. The younger man frowned, looking at it as though it were a puzzle. James chuckled, before demonstrating.
" ‘s a fist bump. Y’ bump his w’th y’rs, like this." He explained, before bumping his fist against Sirius's. Regulus raised a haughty eyebrow at the both of them, before rolling his eyes and bumping Sirius's fist. James held out a fist next, grinning eagerly. Regulus gave him an exasperated look, but when they bumped fists and James brought his out in an explosion, he couldn't help a small smile.
God, was he turning into a sap??
Minutes later, when James snaked a hand around his waist and whispered pretty and stunning into his ear, he confirmed that yes, he absolutely was.

bartender!Sirius x fem!reader ♡ 1.4k words
There are three people working the bar, and you have basically no hope of ever capturing one’s attention. You’re not as assertive as the other patrons vying to get their orders taken, not willing to lean across the bar or shout like they are and perfectly willing to let yourself be pushed out of the way when one of them decides their cause is more prevalent than yours. It probably is. This pub is noisier and more rowdy than you’re accustomed to, and you’re not much of a drinker to begin with, only trying to pay your tax to sit with the friend that invited you here. You’re considering abandoning the endeavor entirely when the next man shouldering you out of the way gets waved off by the bartender nearest.
“Oi, she was here first.”
The bartender’s gaze fixes pointedly on you, which is kind of a lot. He has sharp gray eyes paired with superblack hair—like, the kind of black no light can penetrate—and a crooked smile, a handsome and somewhat menacing combination. He leans across the bar, lowering his voice as if he can tell that’s what you’d prefer.
“What can I get you, doll?”
You fumble for your tongue. “Um, can I have a citrus spritz, please?”
He grimaces. “Wish you could,” he says, “but we just ran out of that gin. Got a second choice?”
“Oh, uh...” You’d only found your first choice after perusing their menu and asking your friend what each thing was, so no, you do not. You take a step back from the bar, yielding your time. “Sorry, I’ll have to—”
“No, come on, it’s alright.” The bartender doesn’t move, but his voice is loud enough that it reaches you, gets you to turn around. He’s on you with that smile again, one hand beckoning you towards him. “We’ll figure something out for you, sweetheart. Come back here.”
You step up to the bar stiffly, more than aware of the irritated looks being shot your way by other patrons.
“What do you like?” he asks you.
You feel your eyebrows pinch, shaking your head helplessly. Your face feels like it could heat a small home. “I don’t—I’m not sure, sorry.”
“You’re alright,” he promises, grin vanishing for a moment as he cuts a glare towards a man trying to talk over you. It’s back before you can miss it. “A sweet kinda drink, yeah? Fruity? D’you want something else with citrus?”
“That sounds good,” you manage.
He winks and pushes off the bar. “Stay put, babe, I’ve gotcha.”
You do your best, keeping your front pressed to the bar even as everyone else moves around and into you. You feel like a rock in a stream. With no one else to talk to, you watch him work behind the bar. He grabs a bunch of bottles at once, pouring without measuring or counting or hardly even looking, and when he starts shaking it all in a metal cylinder you have to look away from how his tattooed biceps bulge from the short sleeves of his shirt. You’re scanning the rows of liquor behind the bar when he gets back, trying to will the warmth away from your face.
“Give this a try.” He sets the drink down in front of you. You notice it’s got a bit of dried fruit on top, and then he sets a small shot glass of something bubbly and transparent down next to it—you wince. A garnish and a side; probably not as cheap as you were hoping for. “If you don’t like it,” he says, glancing between you and the drink expectantly, “don’t tell me. Just bring it to the bathroom and flush it. My ego can’t take the rejection.”
You press your lips together into something you hope approximates a smile and take a careful sip. It is sweet. You can barely taste the alcohol. You rub your lips together as you set it down, hoping you haven’t gotten foam on your mouth.
“It’s really good,” you tell him honestly, and he grins in response. You raise it to your lips for more. “What is it?”
“A pornstar martini.”
You nearly spit foam right at him, somehow reversing at the last moment so you take in a hearty sip instead. His grin widens, showing canines, like he knew the effect the name would have on you. It should make you feel childish, but he doesn’t seem like he’s laughing at you so much as with you.
“It’s good,” you say again, taking out your card. “Thank you.”
He holds up his hands, stepping away from your credit card like it’s a weapon. “Put that thing away,” he says. “You’re insulting me, dollface.”
You let your card hover in the air between you, unsure. “I can’t let you—”
“Sure you can. You have to,” he insists, setting both hands on the bar and leveling you with a significant look. You can’t look back for more than a second before your gaze flees downward. “If I can’t comp a pretty girl’s drink, what am I doing here?” He lowers his voice, leaning across the bar so his face is just a few inches from yours. “And if I can’t add a pretty girl’s drink to a tosser’s tab—” he flicks his gaze over to the man who’s been especially persistent in trying to get his order in over yours since you’ve come up “—then I may as well quit.”
You press your lips together, trying desperately to keep from looking as flattered and flustered as you feel.
“You don’t want to leave me without purpose, do you?”
“No.” You smile down at the bar, privately rolling your eyes. When you glance back up, there’s a waggishness in his eyes that suggests he saw. “Thanks.”
“Thank you. Have a good night.”
“You too.”
You turn, starting back for your table, but stall a couple of steps in. Your seat’s been taken by a man around your age, all smiley and nodding as your friend talks. They’ve both got their elbows leaned on the table, eyes locked like they’re in some sort of competition. And you may not spend a lot of time in pubs, but you know enough to stay away when two people are looking at each other like that.
You stand awkwardly on the fringes of the bar crowd, looking around for another empty table, but it’s too crowded tonight; there are none. You consider dropping by to tell your friend you’re leaving, but now you’ve got this full drink in your hand. Maybe if you finish it quickly…
“Hey!” You pivot, and the same bartender is looking at you again, craning his neck to see you over the crowd. “Hey,” he all but shouts to be heard, “come here.”
You’re nothing if not obedient, working your way through the crowd with murmured apologies and your eyes on the ground to ensure you don’t step on anyone’s toes. When you get up to the bar, he’s waiting for you, holding up a hand to pause the man—the tosser, he’d dubbed him—trying to talk to him. You wonder if he’d halted his order halfway through.
“What’s going on?” he asks, eyebrows twitching together. “You looked lost over there, babe.”
“Sorry,” you say, though you’re not sure what for. “I just—my seat was taken, so I was just trying to figure out—”
“You can sit here.”
You blink, and he motions to the stools tucked under the bar in front of you, the ones nobody’s using. “I mean, you don’t have to,” he says, the closest thing to hesitant you’ve seen from him yet, “but you’re welcome to. I could use some good-looking company. We’re severely lacking over here.”
“Fuck off,” says another bartender, skimming behind him to grab a bottle off a shelf.
“Not counting you, Marls.” He shoots a sharp-edged grin towards the blond woman before fixing it back on you. His eyebrow twitches slightly in question.
“Okay.” You pull a seat out. “Okay, thanks.”
“Don’t thank me, doll, you’re doing me a favor.” He sets his forearms on the bar, leaning towards you like you’re having a far more private conversation. “I’m Sirius.” Something about him softens when you tell him your name in response, and you get the sense he’s been waiting for it. He repeats it back to you like it’s something special. “Alright, y/n, enjoy your drink, and I’ll try to be as decent company as I can while dealing with these pricks.” He makes no effort to keep the man beside you from hearing, then turns to him with an extremely false-looking smile. “Hi, what can I get you?”
Even as the man starts giving his order, Sirius’ eyes flicker your way to see if he made you smile. He did.

The dish guy at my work gives me such Remus lupin vibes and I can so see Remus working as a dishy, like not having to talk to people, stays late, would suit his hot-but-kinda-strange vibes
Which got me thinking what would the other marauders be
Like James would be a bartender 100% you couldn’t convince me of anything else that man was born to look hot, mix drinks, and flirt with customers
Sirius would def be like the rude/bitchy host he would love the power that comes with being in control of where everyone in the restaurant is and he would def seat rude people with servers he didn’t like
Finally I think Peter would be a food runner/busser (is that what people in the US call it? Idk), like it suits his scurrying vibes, he doesn’t really have to interact with other customers, but he also doesn’t really have to interact with the scary kitchen people either

Please Don't See Me by @lynxindisguise (109.107 words) Rating: Mature Relationships: Sirius Black/Remus Lupin, minor Dorlene, minor Jily/Jegulus/Jegulily (polyam)
modern magical AU Summary: “The House Cup. It’s official—they’re letting hedges compete.” “Wow.” He doesn’t know why this seems to knock the wind out of him. It’s not as if he didn’t know this was coming. Can hardly forget an event that only occurs every twenty-one years. An event that at three-years-old was probably his first real memory. One of his only memories of, well, before. “That’s great, Lily…” “It is. It really is." She smiles to herself. “Because we are going to wipe the floor with those prissy, gatekeeping, ‘classically trained’ wizards.” *** A Modern w/ Magic AU featuring a Scottish pub, hedge magic, a masked wizarding tournament, and two idiots accidentally falling in love twice.
Comment: This was such a good fic, I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already! I love the modern, magical world this is set in, with Remus and Lily as hedges and the House Cup tournament and all the wonderful, funny, heartbreaking, angsty and lovely moments that come with it. It's definitely a new personal favorite of mine, and one of those fics I keep thinking about and keep wanting to go back to.

HOTSHOT | S.B.
word count: 0.9k
warnings: I got carried away, it's a fic now lol
“You have anything non-alcoholic back there?” you asked the bartender, quieter than you should be, probably just barely being heard over the rumble of the birthday party going on around you, the night just about ready to turn rowdy as everyone settled into the shots part of the night. You were clutching your clutch between your hands, looking down at the countertop of the bar, peanut shells and various unidentified liquids littering the messy surface and you tried with all your might to swallow a frown, squeezing between two bar stools to lean over the counter to check for yourself.
“What was that?” the man asked, in the middle of shaking up a cocktail, not bothering to look over at you while someone barked an order at him, clearly not all too phased by the fact that he was busy.
You felt for the man, throwing him a soft smile and a dismissive hand, knowing your order wasn’t all that important for him to try and manage it between everyone else’s. You wondered how he managed to do it all at once by himself, there was usually someone behind there with him- Sirius, you thought- he was quick on his feet and with his tongue, a regular flirt. You recognized him from high school, not sure how he’d ended up working in a place like this but something made you think he wasn’t all that fussed about how the place ran in his absence, in fact, you were quite sure he’d not mind at all if you jumped in to give the bartender a hand, someone surely should. Before you’d allowed yourself to process the thought, you were sneaking under the bar, fixing your hair, and hesitantly placing your clutch behind one of the blenders.
“Thought you needed a hand,” you smiled as the bartender in question turned to you in surprise, pausing for barely a second to hear your explanation and in the blink of it you saw his name tag, James, it read. You were sure you’d heard that somewhere. “I can’t do anything fancy but I could manage to open a bottle, pull a lever, or poor a shot,” you offered, already taking a bottle of something from the shelf behind you, not bothering to see what it was.
“Fine by me, just don’t break anything,” he sighed with a raised brow, stealing the bottle from your hand and replacing it with another. “Tequila, not water,” he deadpanned before going back to his cocktail, missing the embarrassed look on your face as you read the label. The first few order were simple enough, a few beers, some shots, and a random whiskey, it was starting to feel quite fun, despite the high demand and it was much better than trying to dance with a bunch of strangers.
“I’ll take one of those, love,” a voice demanded from behind you, the empty beer bottles you’d scooped up from the counter falling into the trashcan with an echoed glass thud. “Though, a full one might be better,” he added and you scoffed, pulling a full one from the fridge before turning around to see who the voice belonged to. You weren’t expecting to find the man whose job you’d momentarily stolen, a smirk bright enough to blind you dancing on his lips as you slid the beer over to him. “Thanks,” he took a sip, a slow one, far too simple a gesture to have your knees as weak as they were. “Now, you mind telling me what you’re doing behind my bar? Think I’d remember hiring a pretty little thing like you.”
“Your bar?”
“Last time I checked,” he was arrogant, not the type that had you balling your first and rolling your eyes, the type that had you leaning onto the very counter you’d been disgusted by an hour ago.
“James was struggling, thought I should offer him a hand,” you were finding your senses again, raising a brow as he looked around, the rush that sent you back here had passed, leaving a very manageable crowd for James to handle all by himself.
“I think he’d handled worse.”
“Maybe I just wanted an excuse to run into you,” you tried, surprised by yourself and by the almost animated laugh he offered you, so was he. “Getting behind your bar, getting into your bed, it’s all the same thing to guys like you, no?”
“Guys like me?” his tone dipped, eyes darkened as he leaned in as well, beer in hand as the other very daringly went to rest under his chin, showing you how interested he was in whatever you’d say next. “You don’t even know my name, darling, and you already think you know me?”
“I know your name,” you shrugged, grabbing your clutch before scurrying beneath the bar and out just as smoothly as before, smiling as you stood up directly next to his stool. “But I guess there won’t be any harm in getting to know you better, prove myself wrong.”
“I’m free right now,” he quipped and you shook your head, silently scolding him for being so presumptuous.
“No, you're not, you got to get to work, hotshot,” you informed him, a small scoff earned as he turned in his seat, making no effort to hide the way his eyes traveled down your body before meeting your gaze again. “See you around, Sirius.”

bartender!sirius
Literally just a little shit.
Teasing. Lots of teasing. About everything.
Telling you you're doing everything wrong.
Casual flirting.
Defending you against "slimy creeps," as he puts it.
He genuinely cares for you, though he swears he will never admit it. Until he does one day after he's "defended you"
Tumblr media
Dialogue under the cut
can be read as romantic or platonic
259 words
"Look, Y/l/n, if you ever want to be good at this job, you've gotta be good at this job."
You look at him, bewildered, "What the hell does that even mean?"
"Well, for starters, you made that drink wrong. You forgot the cherry juice syrup thing," Sirius mutters.
You huff, "First off, I haven't added the cherry yet because I just poured the Sprite. Second, it's called grenadine. I expect you to know that."
"First off, blah blah blah blah blah. Second, I'm a nerd, blah blah blah," He mocks.
It's a slow day, and while you enjoy the rush, you enjoy spending time with Sirius more.
"Your BFF is here!" He smirks as one of your regulars, which you detest, walks through the door.
He starts flirting with you. You hate it. He's talking about how good you look in your uniform.
"Joel, if I gotta tell you one more time," Sirius interrupts, "That y/n is not interested in you or your slimy hair, I will kick you out of this bar."
"Sirius," You whine, not wanting him to make a big scene.
Sirius doesn't listen, "I will have your I.D. xeroxed, and you will never be let into this bar again."
Joel immediately leaves you alone.
"My night in shining armor," You bat your lashes at him, and even though he knows you're joking, his heart smiles.
"I'll always be here to make sure they don't bother you," He smiles fondly.
You let out a small laugh, shaking your head.
He stops what he's doing, "I'm being genuine, y/l/n. I care for you."

(also, carry me away was rec'd somewhere in the darkweb, and reminded me of how much i love my third child. so here's a shameless plug.)
Sirius couldn’t stop himself from staring if he wanted to, especially not across the table at the vineyard, with a myriad of wines to taste between them. Remus had rolled up his sleeves to accommodate the summer sun, as had Sirius, and he couldn’t get enough. It didn’t help that every time Sirius looked at Remus, he found the boy staring back at him.
A secret competition of who could look longer without the other noticing.
But they held hands over the top of the table, like the rest of the couples around them. Like he had seen James and Lily do and had said that’s what I want.
“You know what?” Remus said after his third glass of wine. There was a certain lightness to both of them. Be it from exhaustion, relief from the morning's events, alcohol or simply being with one another, and Sirius found himself laughing more and more.
“Hm?”
“I think I'm actually built for this.” Remus said, breaking off a piece of chocolate that came with the wine he was drinking, “I know I’m employed as the person who serves things, but I actually think I’m much better at drinking it.”
“A wine connoisseur are we?”
“What are they called? It starts with an S.”
“Sommeliers?”
“Yes! I think I’d be good at that,” Remus took a sip of the wine and Sirius laughed, “It’s...oaky.”
“No. It’s not.”
“I’m a professional!”
“Baby, none of these wines are oaky.”
“Says the boy who just had his first drink, what, nine days ago? I think I know a little bit more than you, thank you.” Remus said and took another sip, “Okay, maybe not oaky. More...cherries? Fruit? I dunno, it’s really fucking good.”
“That’s a much better review, honestly. I think you’ve got a future as a sommelier who isn’t so…”
“Ostentatious? Pretentious? Overly-inflated?”
“I was going to say honest, but sure.” Sirius grinned, carefully sipping his own wine, “I’d much rather hear this one’s really fucking good than hearing it tastes like a leather handbag or whatever.”

It wasn’t as if you were new to the job; you had previously worked some years as a bar tender for a pretty well-established club, it paid well and managed to help pay for your rent and utility bills for most of your higher education years. However, all the built up stress and sleepless nights finally caught up to you. And you found yourself repeating a year, meaning that you needed to pay for your own tuition this year atop all the other monthly bills and necessities you keep up with. Perhaps it was the universe telling you that you needed to stop and change the direction of your life — you needed to choose an easier path, a doable path. But you were stubborn and also quite the optimist. So you kept at it, determined to finish what you started and earn your degree.
Yes, it was a let down but you were still breathing. Life just gets hard sometimes.
Thankfully, your past experience and phenomenal recommendation letter from your previous manager earned you another bar tending job at a very elite club, where tips were more than generous, considering the clientele composed primarily of the privileged class, some with multiple businesses under their belts, some who were phenomenal investors and some living off their parents’ money. You didn’t care to look too much into it, you were there to work and you were going to work hard and honestly.
The patrons surprisingly had very similar tastes and so, you fond yourself making the same types of drinks repeatedly. It made the job a lot easier and you were able to focus more on your delivery and interaction with customers, leading to more tips. Times were rough after having to accept defeat with your studies and repeating a year with your own funding but things were looking up. If you keep at it, you’ll make it out alive.
Your only complaint was the dress code. Make up was advised with a bold red lip but must be kept simple. You felt like a showgirl of some kind, squeezed into a high collar, white dress that came down to your mid thigh and with a low-cut, open back. The sleeves aren’t as long as you would like but, at least, you were permitted to use black kitten heel court shoe pumps as opposed to stilettos — your only saving grace, along with the higher salary and generous tips.
Tumblr media
“Looks like we have a newbie working the bar,” Sirius points out, drawing all attention to your lively figure as you served drinks with a sweet smile and airy voice. A hum of curiosity vibrates through Remus’ chest and up to his lips at the sight of you, “certainly easy on the eyes, huh?” the tattooed, right-hand comments again as he looks towards the head of the table where Remus holds up his glass of Negroni.
“Very… innocent— a sweet, pretty, little thing,” James comments on Remus’ other side, which Peter grunts at in agreement as he takes a sip of his whiskey-sour.
“Looks like she doesn’t belong,” Peter nods before smirking and letting out a light laugh. The domino effect had James and Sirius laughing too as Remus smirks behind his glass before proceeding to down the rest of his drink.
“Exactly your type, eh? Moony?”
Sirius’ teasing comment is ignored. Instead, Remus calls for there server and orders another drink with an additional request that only confirms his smirking friend’s disregarded statement, “Have the new bartender personally deliver my drink for me as well,”
There was no higher authority that could dismiss the club owner’s personal request.
Tumblr media
It was a strange request but you steeled your nerves and asked your fellow bartender to minister your unattended station while you made quick work on the order. It wasn’t unusual to receive requests like this from an isolated table that had privacy curtains for convenience. However, it was usually for drinks that you could make a show out of like a Holy Water cocktail, a Phoenix cocktail and even a Dragon’s Blood cocktail — a performance that you liked partaking in for the flammable aspect. But this was a Negroni. A cocktail of equal parts gin, saccharine vermouth and bitter Italian Campari. It’s a very egalitarian drink that was enjoyed by everyone, men and women alike, simple but elegant and definitely didn’t require a performance. Despite the odd summons, you were eager to fulfil your curiosity for who the client may be.
With a professional smile, you place refined mix in the middle of your circular tray with it’s classic orange garnish and set off to the table. The standby server, who made the order, saw your approach and quickly announced your arrival through the small front opening, momentarily disappearing into the shadow of the curtains. He reappears a moment later and pulls the heavy drapes fully apart, to reveal the guests from beneath the, once, opaque shadows.
To say that you were stunned was an understatement.
It was pure luck that you didn’t stutter in your stride and spill the cocktail prematurely. At the table was seated four men, all dressed in suits and ties that were in various states of disorder. Among their collection of suits, you could spot Armani and Tom Ford, however, you were sure that their unconventional styles were not the way those suits were intended to be worn.
One man with long, midnight-black hair and paper-pale skin had an array of mismatching tattoos littering both arms, revealed to you by his lack of a suit jacket and rolled-up sleeves. Another wore cute circular glasses and a cheeky grin with a suit jacket but no button up shirt and his chiseled upper body on full display. The last was a dirty blonde with piercing eyes and a deceivingly boyish smile. He had his ankle propped up on his opposite knee and several buttons undone where a tie should have been fastened over, his sleeves also rolled up as his suit jacket lay beside him.
It was the man at the head of the table, however, who stole your attention. If you had to guess who ordered such a simple but elegant drink, it would have to be him. He had his suit jacket draped over his broad shoulders and also had several of his top buttons undone, revealing some faded scars marked across his toned chest. His neat brunette hair and kind brown eyes gave him a deceivingly gentle appearance but his close company revealed a duplicity that caught and tensed your nerves.
You ignored the creeping goosebumps that prickled your skin, down from your toes all the way up to your ears.
Just do your job…
“Gentlemen,” you addressed kindly with a slight tilt of your head, which they acknowledged with their own hums of acknowledgement, their eyes lighting up in subtle surprise at your actions, “I have an order for a Negroni,” you raise your tray with the drink and scan the four for some indication as to who the order belonged to.
“That would be for me,” just as you suspected, it was the brunette with the kindest eyes but also the most ominous air. His voice is a deep and smooth lullaby, patient with it’s seduction on your senses. It was a trap that you resisted but are so hopelessly tempted to fall into, “Thank you, sweetheart,” he meets your eyes as you lower the drink into his large, outstretched hand. You notice how his knuckles and fingers are littered with scars also, some fresh, some faded with time and some hidden behind luxurious rings. Nevertheless…
He’s beautiful
She’s precious
“Not a problem,” you reassure with a soft voice, “have a good evening,” with your circular tray pressed against your side, you offer him an innocent smile and dismiss the butterflies in your stomach urging you to linger, “gentlemen,” you acknowledge the remaining three once more before offering another sweet smile. Turning on your heel, you leave the group and ignore the stares drilling holes into the back of your head.
She doesn’t know…
Once you were out of earshot, Remus turns to his closest friends and most trusted colleagues. They all share a look, one that conveys a unanimous thought. It isn’t long before their agreement manifests into knowing smiles and a ring of laughter shared between them.
“Don’t get greedy now, Moony,” Peter chimes in as Sirius throws his head back with a barking laugh.
“That’s not gonna stop him Wormtail, you know that; she’s a rare one,”
“So what’s the plan, bossman?” James asks with a raised brow as he brings his drink up to his lips.
Remus doesn’t answer right away, he simply requests that the curtain remain open so he can fix his fond gaze on you for the remainder of the evening. The group already knew what to do and sat at the edge of their seats, awaiting orders eagerly despite their slack shoulders and composed expressions. Only they were able to observe the shift in the air between them; it became charged as soon as you entered their circle and slowly started accelerating, parallel to the climbing affection in Remus’ eyes as he watches you smile at customers while making their drinks.
He takes a singular sip of his Negroni, bitterly sweet with a citrus edge.
Heaven in a glass. And made by an angel.
“I want a background check and profile put together immediately,” Remus finally orders, “I want to know everything there is to know about her,”

— sugar
sirius black x reader ★ 1k words
a/n : first post ! ty for reading <3
Honeydukes was packed with witches and wizards of all ages as it always was on the weekends, tables and shelves stocked with most colorful and exciting sweets in the area. You made your way to the back of the shop where your favorite treats were, relieved the see this part of the store empty.
As you scanned the wall for your sweets, someone cleared their throat behind you. You turned to see a man grinning at you, leaning against the shelf behind him. He was wearing a fitted black shirt, and a leather jacket. His dark curls perfectly framing his defined face.
"You've got good taste, I see. Honeydukes always has the best sweets. What's your poison, chocolate frogs?"
You eyed the handsome man in front of you, then offered a smile towards him.
"I'm more of a sugar quill girl."
The curly haired stranger chuckled, his grey eyes crinkling in the corners.
"Ah, a woman of refined tastes, I see. Sugar quills are definitely a good choice. The only problem is, you're going to need something to wash them down with. Say, a butterbeer?"
"That is quite a problem, isn't it?" you bit your lip, your eyes twinkling mischievously.
His grin widened, a knowing sparkle in his eye.
"Sure is. Lucky for you, I've got a solution. Allow me to take you to the Three Broomsticks, where I can ensure you have the most delicious beverage available to pair with your equally delicious snacks."
You couldn't help but smile, his charm almost impossible to resist.
"Take me away, handsome."
"Sirius Black. Shall we, sweetheart?" He offered you his elbow, a gentleman through and through.
You took his elbow and gave him your name, grinning up at him as your eyes twinkled with excitement.
The two of you walked up to the counter and after a few "Sirius, no!"s and a "I've got it, sweet girl", the cashier handed you the bag of sweets Sirius paid for. You thanked him as you left the candy shop and walked down the streets of Hogsmeade together.
As you entered the Three Broomsticks, Sirius escorted you to the bar, pulling out a stool for you. He ordered a round of butterbeers and pumpkin pasties for the both of you, the bartender nodding to his request. As you waited for your drinks, Sirius leaned back on his stool, watching you with amusement.
You looked around and smiled softly at the cozy atmosphere, then turned to him when you noticed him watching you. You smiled nervously, bringing a hand up to your mouth.
"Do I have something on my face?"
"No, you're perfect, love. But I wonder.. why a woman like you would be having a butterbeer with a known troublemaker... some might think you have a thing for bad boys."
"And what if I do?" You smirked at him, taking a small sip of your butterbeer.
Sirius's eyes twinkled in response. He seemed to find your spirit and openness refreshing.
The two of you talked about anything and everything as you drank together, Sirius especially interested in your work with magical creatures.
You cut your pumpkin pasty in half, sliding one half over him before taking a bite out if your own half.
"Here, before it gets cold."
Sirius chuckled, reaching out to take the offered half. Their hands touched briefly, and he felt a tingle run down his spine. He blinked, trying to play it off.
He felt his cheeks grow warm. Even the way you ate a pumpkin pasty was endearing. His eyes flitted across your face, his heart pounding in his throat. His mind was racing with possibilities, thoughts that he hadn't let himself think in years. He was in trouble.
"Um, would you care for another butterbeer?" He motioned to the nearby bartender, who nodded in acknowledgement. He was going to need a whole tankard of butterbeer if he had any hope of keeping himself from completing embarrassing himself in front of you.
He knew he should stay cool, but there was something about you that threw him off his game. Before he even realized what he was doing, he blurted out, "Godric, you're beautiful."
Your eyes widened and you let out the biggest laugh, throwing your head back. The blush on his cheeks deepened as your laughter filled his ears. He leaned in, his words filled with sincerity.
"And you are the kind of woman who can make a man forget about all of his worries. I could listen to you laugh all night, love."
He reached out, taking your hand in his, his thumb stroking the back of your hand gently. He was falling for you hard and fast, and he had a sinking feeling that he was in trouble. But at the same time, he couldn't be happier.
"You're trouble, you know that?"
You looked down at Sirius stroking your hand, then looking back up at him with a teasing smile.
"Trouble? You're the one who kidnapped me."
Sirius chuckled, the soft melody of your laughter tugging at his heart. He felt warm all over, his lips curving into a soft smile. He was never the romantic type, but there was something about you that made his heart ache with longing.
"I may have kidnapped you, but you're the one who's stolen my heart." Sirius's voice was soft, a whisper meant for your ears only.
It was your turn to be flustered, your cheeks turning pink as he looked at you sincerely.
"Merlin, who knew you'd have such a way with words." You chuckled softly, tilting your head to the side.
"Maybe I've been saving them all for you." Sirius took a deep breath, trying to maintain his composure.
A small gasp left your mouth, giggling at the man sitting beside you.
"Sirius Black, where have you been all my life?"
Sirius chuckled, his eyes twinkling at your reaction. He knew you were feeling the same way he was, and it made him feel alive. You had lit a spark within him, one that he thought had died long ago. He was thrilled to have found you, and he wasn't about to let you go. He leaned closer, his voice just above a whisper.
"Waiting for you, sugar, waiting for you."

@jegulus-microfic Jan 29 - fancy
Cowboy James au 🤠
1012 words 🙈
This will be a multi-part :)
~
"Now, I demand that—"
"Whoa there, fancy-pants, what seems t’ be the trouble?" James drawled, placing a hand on the fuming man's chest. He was small, slight, with a head of perfect dark curls and silver eyes, and he shot James a withering look.
"This doesn't concern you." The man snapped, eyeing James before returning to the bartender. "I swear to god, if you don't give it right now, I will knock your fucking lights out—"
"Okay, okay." James intervened again, despite the man's dismissal. Or maybe because of it.
"Now, th’rs no need t’ talk t’ mah friend like that."
The smaller man glared at him.
"Your friend just so happens to be my brother. Who has taken away my fucking phone, because he's a dick." The man spat, directing a glare towards Sirius.
"Well, tha’s not very nice." James admonished, giving him a little pout.
"And who exactly are you?" The man asked James, turning to properly face him, an expression of annoyance and disdain on his face. Here, Sirius cut in.
"Regulus, this is James. My friend. James, this is Regulus, my menace of a little brother." Sirius introduced.
"Regulus." James repeated, grinning, and stuck out a hand. "Lovely t’ meet ya."
"Can't say the same for you, given you're so nosy." Regulus sniffed, but shook his hand anyway. James squeezed his hand a little, then let go.
"Well, since ah’m so nosy, ah’m gonna ask why exactly Sirius took your phone. Cuz ah gotta feelin' he might have a good reason." Regulus opened his mouth to protest, but Sirius cut him off.
"He won't stop texting an arsehole who broke his heart and stole his job." James's eyebrows raised.
"Well that just won' do." He frowned, looking down at Regulus. "Why're you still textin' ‘im ?"
Regulus looked, for just a moment, vulnerable. Then, he put his chin up, and a mask with it.
"He has a really big cock." He replied, granting James and Sirius a sharp, self-satisfied grin. Sirius rolled his eyes, and James laughed.
"Good to know whatcha like, sugar." James murmured, and Regulus's eyes widened minutely. Sirius, luckily, had been distracted by another customer, and hadn't heard James's remark.
~
James had left the bar only a few minutes after they'd met, needing to help out a friend with something. He promised he'd be back later, and Regulus was anticipating it more than he'd like.
"How come you didn't tell me you'd befriended a tall, smooth, hot-as-fuck cowboy??" Regulus asked Sirius, tone incredulous and annoyed.
"Because I knew you'd jump him, and I didn't want him to be your rebound." Sirius answered, giving him a pointed look.
"Oh, please." Regulus scoffed, downing his shot. "That man doesn't seem like he'd be at all phased by a little rebound." Sirius frowned at him.
"He may seem like a confident, smooth-talking cowboy, but he's also quite kind. Considerate. I don't want you breaking him." Sirius answered, and Regulus scowled.
"In case you don't recall, my last relationship ended with me breaking down sobbing in your arms and sleeping on your couch for a month." Regulus said pointedly.
"I do, thank you. But I also remember how you ended it with Will, who was really decent. Bloke texted me for  weeks asking why you'd done it like that. You fucked him up, Reg."
"He's fine. His fragile masculinity will survive." Regulus waved it off, playing with his glass. "But come on, Sirius, did you see James?? He's exactly my type. I mean, the curls, the eyes, and, lord, those thighs in tight fucking jeans? Send me straight to hell because I. Want. To. Sin." Regulus groaned, pleading to Sirius.
"No." His brother replied shortly, before going to tend to another customer.
*
It was only two hours later when James returned to the bar, but now the place was bustling, as it was 8:30. Music was booming throughout the place, full of happily buzzed people dancing around and on one another. Regulus was sat at the bar, glowering at his phone still in Sirius's back pocket. He didn't even care about Barty anymore, he was just bored. Or so he told himself.
"Hey there, fancy-pants." A voice rumbled in his ear, and Regulus startled. Then, he turned, meeting warm hazel eyes.
"Well hello, nosy." Regulus replied, fondly. He was pleasantly tipsy, just on the edge of drunk, his usual wall-like inhibitions lowered. James flashed him a pleased smile.
"Sirius still got your phone?" James asked, glancing at the busy bartender.
"Yes, the cunt." Regulus groused, his tongue also even sharper when he was tipsy.
"Y'know, fer such a pretty thing, y’ve got a filthy mouth." James commented, but it wasn't an admonishment. A wicked smile played his lips as he said it.
"Yeah? Well, what are you going to do about it, Mr. Morality?" Regular sneered, taking another sip of his drink.
"Ah’m gonna ask you to dance, sugar." James replied, and a pleasant shiver went through Regulus's body at the nickname.
"Sorry, but I don't dance." Regulus hummed, partly to make it harder for the man and partly because he really wasn't too confident in his dance moves.
"Mmm, ah think you do. Jus' has to be with the right person." James smirked. Regulus gave him an amused look.
"And you think that's you, do you?" He asked, swirling his drink around his glass.
“Ah think that you really want that phone back, and if y’ dance with me, I’ll get it for you." James rumbled, and Regulus's eyebrows raised.
"Is that so?"
"Yes sir." James grinned, and Regulus shivered again.
"How will you get it?" He asked, wondering how far he could push this man.
"D'you see him? His attention's on nothin' but the customer's drinks. Ah could easily tell him ah’m slippin' out, pat him on the back, and swipe your phone. He prob'ly wouldn't even hear me." James drawled, and Regulus looked at him contemplatively.
"Okay." He sighed, pulling himself away from the bar. "I'll dance with you."

Game On - Sirius Black x Reader Smut
Request: what do you think of established relationship sirius black x fem!reader edging + desperate banging (maybe overstimulation done by who u choose to be the one that snaps first as a sort of “punishment” even tho they’re both in this together 💀)
sirius and reader share the same braincells and are in a very lovey-dovey relationship but one day they feel bored and want to try adding a little ✨spice✨ into their relationship, so they come up with this plan to shake things up a bit: they get dressed up to look their best and go to a club/pub/etc where they flirt with other people while looking at each other till one of them snaps and drags the other to a bathroom or another secluded place and desperately go at it with each other
AN - one thing i love about you guys is that when i ask for smut requests, i know that you'll deliver!! Also, if you guys would like, i can write a part 2/ alternat ending where sirius loses the competition and ends up in the same situation as reader…?
Warnings: this starts off fine but by the end gets pretty filthy. Nothing too weird but -contains: light bondage, edging, slight overstimulation. 3.3k words
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Sirius asked as her zipped up his girlfriend’s dress. They were stood in front of the full-length mirror in their bedroom, and he gazed at her reflection as he pressed a soft kiss to her shoulder.
“I’m sure. It was my idea after all.”
“I know. I’m just making sure.”
They had been inseparable since their school days, the two of them practically joined at the hip. Yet, within the comfort of their connection, a desire for something new lingered. It was something that they had mulled over countless times, the idea of injecting some excitement into their relationship. When Y/N mentioned the idea, Sirius readily agreed.
The agenda for the evening was a competition of sorts. They were going to head to one of the local bars, each of them going their separate ways upon arrival. It was a test of wills to see who would crack with jealously as they both flirted and danced with strangers.
“You’re going down, Black.” Y/N smiled cheekily, pecking him on the lips as she grabbed her bag and headed to the door.
“Game on.” he grinned.
The bar that they had chosen was heaving. From the moment they entered, they were enveloped in a kaleidoscope of colours. Neon lights danced across the walls, casting vibrant hues of pink, purple and blue onto the mass of people dancing. The room itself wasn’t very big, a bar lined one wall, and a large dancefloor took centre stage, tall tables filled the space in between. It was large enough so that Y/N and Sirius could distance themselves, but small enough that they could constantly keep an eye on each other.
They both headed towards the bar, eager to get a drink. Sirius went to one end, Y/N to the other. Y/N slipped onto one of the tall bar stools, resting her chin in her hand as she waited for the bartender to come and take her order.
“What can I get for you, gorgeous?” the bartender asked, leaning forward slightly. Caught off guard, Y/N felt a faint flush creep onto her cheeks.
“Surprise me.” she replied playfully.
His grin widened at her response as he accepted the challenge. With practiced ease, he made her a cocktail, his hands moving gracefully as he poured and mixed with precision. As he slid the drink across the bar towards her, their fingers brushed briefly, sending a jolt of electricity coursing through her veins.
Sirius was at the other end of the bar lounged against the polished surface; whisky glass perched in his ring clad fingers. His gaze swept across the crowded room planning his next move. As he sipped his drink, his attention was momentarily diverted to his girlfriend at the other side of the bar, engaged in animated conversation with the bartender. ‘Damn, she’s quick,’ he thought as a flicker of emotion crossed his features before he masked it with a playful grin, catching her eye and raising his glass in a silent toast. He quickly downed the rest of his drink before ordering another.
It didn’t take long for him to find someone to flirt with, as he scanned the room he locked eyes with a girl sat alone at one of the tall tables towards the dance floor. Grabbing his drink, he made his way over. Sirius flashed a charming smile as he approached the girl, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Mind if I join you?” he had already pulled out the chair before giving her time to answer.
“Depends,” the girl looked up, her eyes sparkling with amusement, “Are you planning on buying me a drink?”
“Of course.” Sirius replied with a mock-indignant tone, “What’s your poison?”
By the time Sirius headed back to the bar to buy their drinks, Y/N had already left. He glanced around for her, expecting her to be still chatting to the bartender, but she wasn’t there. Sirius frowned a little, scouring the bar for sight of his girlfriend as he waiting for their drinks to be made. He found her as he headed back to the table, she was sat directly opposite from him on the other side of the room. Her head was thrown back as she laughed at whatever it was that whoever she was talking to said.
As Sirius approached the bar to order their drinks, he realised that Y/N was no longer there. Confusion flickered across his features as he had half-expected her to still be engaged in conversation with the bartender.
Frowning slightly, Sirius cast a searching gaze around the bar, his eyes darting from one corner to the next in a bid to locate his girlfriend. It wasn’t until he got back to the table that he spotted her, seated across the room from him, her laugher ringing out amidst the lively atmosphere. A pang of jealously stirred within him as he watched Y/N interact with the man she was sat with. He took a sip of his drink, determined not to let her win their little competition.
As Sirius sat back down, the girl’s eyes lit up with amusement, her lips curling into a playful smile as she took in his arrival.
“Well, well, look who’s back,” she teased, “I was starting to think you’d abandoned me for good.”
Sirius chuckled, sliding into the chair opposite her with a grin, “Sorry about that. Had to navigate through the crowd of admirers just to get our drinks.”
“Well, I’m flattered you braved the crowds for me.”
Sirius let out an amused laugh, but he couldn’t keep his attention off of Y/N. Although the conversation between Sirius and the girl flowed effortlessly, each sentence punctuated with flirtatious banter, he spent every spare second eyeing up his girlfriend.
As soon as Y/N saw that Sirius had gone to sit with another girl, she knew that she had to take it up a level. There was absolutely no way that she was giving him the satisfaction of winning. After her short conversation with the bartender, another man had approached her and offered to buy her a drink which she politely accepted. He led her over to the table that he was sat on, and much to Y/N’s amusement, it was directly opposite from Sirius.
“You have a gorgeous smile, by the way.” the man said, reaching a hand out to touch her arm.
“Flattery will get you everywhere, won’t it?” Y/N smirked.
“I certainly hope so.”
As Y/N and Sirius found themselves engrossed in conversations across the crowded club, a subtle game of jealousy unfolded between them, each vying to capture the other’s attention. Y/N had really upped the flirtatiousness, laughing slightly louder than usual, leaving lingering touches on the man’s arm. She couldn’t help but look over at Sirius, her heart racing with anticipation at the thought of his reaction.
It was only when Y/N saw Sirius lean in a little too closely to the girl that she knew she needed to up her game.
“Wanna dance?” she asked.
He had introduced himself, but the name slipped from her mind almost as soon as he said it. Adam? Alex? Aaron. It didn’t matter much to her, to be honest. She wasn’t particularly invested in him, merely seeing him as a means to an end in her quest to provoke Sirius. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt for his unwitting role in her scheme. Nevertheless, Adam/Alex/Aaron seemed eager enough to accept her invitation to dance.
As they moved to the music, Y/N couldn’t help but notice the way that Sirius’s gaze lingered on them from across the room. With each movement, she could feel his eyes burning into her, a silent testament to the effect that she was having on him.
Feeling a surge of exhilaration, Y/N leaned in closer to her dance partner, her movements growing more playful with each passing moment. She glanced over his shoulder and locked eyes with Sirius, a mischievous smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
Sirius, quite frankly, had had enough. Still locking eyes with his girlfriend, he picked up his glass and drained the contents before turning to the girl (who he had now found out was called Jess) and asked her to dance.
“Fancy a dance then?”
“You don’t strike me as much of a dancer.” she narrowed her eyes at him skeptically.
“Guess you’ll have to find out then, won’t you?” he replied, extending his hand towards her.
Y/N and Sirius were now only a few meters apart, both dancing with their respective partners. With each playful twirl and flirtatious touch, Y/N felt a pang of jealously gnaw at her insides. Her jaw clenched slightly as she fought to keep her composure. As the music pounded, Y/N’s movements became more deliberate, each step calculated to catch Sirius’s attention. Just as she was sure that Sirius was near to reaching breaking point, she saw red. A fleeting look over at Sirius had revealed the girl’s hands tangled in his hair as she reached up on her tiptoes to whisper something in his ear. Sirius had laughed, his hand resting on her waist. With her heart pounding in her chest, she approached Sirius, tugging sharply on his arm.
“You win.”
“Well, I hate to say I told you so.” Sirius teased, his tone laced with playful arrogance, “But I did warn you that you wouldn’t stand a chance against me.”
Y/N rolled her eyes at him as she grabbed a hold of his hand and led him out of the bar.
“You’re awfully eager to get home for someone that has quite a hefty forfeit waiting for them.” he mused, “you did remember that part of the game, right?”
“As if I could forget.” Y/N fumbled with her keys, trying to unlock their front door, “It’s all I’ve been thinking about all night.”
“Yeah? Did you get jealous, baby?” Sirius kicked the front door shut behind him, swiftly pressing Y/N against the wall, “You were trying so hard to get me to bite, weren’t you?”
Sirius had suddenly switched, his eyes darkening as he pressed himself against her. Y/N’s head was tipped back against the wall as he pressed sloppy, desperate kisses up the collum of her neck.
“You better head upstairs, you’ve got a long night ahead of you, gorgeous.”
Within minutes of being in their bedroom, Sirius had her naked, and spread out on the bed, her hand expertly tied to the headboard. He on the other hand, was fully clothed, save for his white dress shirt that was unbuttoned halfway down his chest revealing the tattoos that adorned his skin. He stood at the edge of their bed, staring down at her cockily.
“Poor girl.” he tutted, “You wanted to win so bad, didn’t you? Didn’t want to be the one tied up and teased when we got home, did you? Was a silly idea from you, really, because you were never going to win.”
“I was close.” Y/N argued, “You nearly snapped first. ‘Saw it in your eyes when I was dancing.”
“Mhm. I didn’t like that he had his hands all over you. That’s my job.” Sirius said, “I almost feel bad for him –s pending his night talking to you when all you could think about all night was how good I was going to fuck you when we got home.”
Y/N whined, tugging against her restraints. Sirius just chuckled, kneeling down on the edge of the bed, nudging her legs open.
“That’s right, isn’t it? I bet every time he touched you, all you could think about was me. How I’d be making you beg for me as soon as we got home.”
“Sirius, please.”
“This wet already?” he slid a finger through her folds, “Were you soaked all night just thinking about me?”
Y/N groaned and nodded. She knew Sirius would get like this if he won and she would be lying if she said that she wasn’t enjoying every single second of it.
“Y-yes, Sirius, been thinking about you all night.”
He smirked as he pushed one of his fingers inside of her, eliciting a soft moan from her lips. He pumped it inside a few times before slowly adding another one.
“So eager for me.” he murmured, “It’s going to be a little while before I let you come though.”
“I know...” Y/N whispered, “Just, don’t stop. Please.”
Sirius didn’t need to be told twice. He had no intentions of stopping any time soon. Dipping his head down to meet the sensitive flesh, he licked a slow deliberate stripe over her clit. Y/N struggled, yanking against her restraints, desperate to weave her hands through his hair. When Sirius pulled away, her hips bucked up instinctively, eager to have his touch.
“How many times do you think I need to edge you before you go completely dumb for me?” Sirius asked, sickly sweet smile on his face, “Usually five does the trick doesn’t it? But tonight, you seem so desperate already. I don’t think it’ll take that many at all.”
“Please. Not five.” she whimpered, looking down at him pleadingly.
“No?”
Sirius sat up, raking a hand through his dark hair as he reached down into the box that they kept tucked under their bed. Y/N’s eyes widened, knowing exactly what he was searching for. She heard it before she saw it, the soft buzzing sound that filled the room. Sirius pressed the vibrator gently against her clit, resuming his previous position and sliding two fingers back inside of her.
“Good girl.” he cooed, “Feel good, baby?”
Y/N nodded, her head tipped back against the pillows, mouth slightly open. Sirius turned the vibrator up notch, causing a soft moan to fall from her lips. The girl’s hips rocked forward onto Sirius’s fingers, earning a smirk from him.
“Tell me when you get close.”
A few moments passed, the motion of her hips becoming quicker, trying to meet the rhythm of Sirius’s thrusts.
“C-close.” she gasped, her eyes screwing shut, “Can I come?”
“Nope.”
Sirius turned the vibrator off and removed his fingers. Y/N whimpered at the loss of stimulation, frowning down at her boyfriend.
“Don’t look so disappointed. You knew this was going to happen when we decide to do our little competition,” Sirius nipped at the skin of her inner thigh, making her flinch, “You picked the punishments, baby. You really thought you were going to win, didn’t you? Wanted to have me all tied up and desperate?”
“I’ll win next time. Just hated how she was touching you.”
“Next time?” Sirius cocked his head at her, “You’re very confident for someone who’s all tied up right now.”
“Shut u-”
Y/N didn’t get chance to finish her sentence as Sirius switched the vibrator on and pressed it firmly back against her clit.
“Remember your manners.”
Sirius continued his routine of playing around with the settings out the vibrator while simultaneously fucking his girlfriend with his fingers. He knew exactly what got her going so it was no surprise that a few minutes later she was thrashing around on the bed begging him to keep going.
“No.”
“Please, Sirius.”
“I said no.”
He pressed his fingers upwards, hitting her just right, getting her just teetering on the edge of orgasm before quickly switching the vibrator off and leaving her empty once more.
“Getting so wet for me, darling.” He held his fingers up so that she could see. Her wetness had coated his fingers and Sirius smiled proudly as he showed them to her, “Wanna taste?”
Before she could reply, he pushed his fingers passed her lips, now slightly swollen from her biting down on them. She groaned, taking them into her mouth and swirling her tongue around his digits.
“Dirty girl.” he said, taking his fingers out and guiding them back inside of her pussy. Just as he did before, her brought her to the edge again. And again.
By the fourth time she was denied orgasm, her skin was glistening with sweat, her hips bucking up erratically each time he threated to remove his fingers. Her lips were read and bitten, her breath coming out in short bursts.
“Sirius, please, please just let me come.”
He ignored her, lazily drawing circles over her sensitive clit with his thumb.
“Fuck. Sirius, please. God, I need it.”
“But you sound so pretty when you beg, baby. Would be such a shame if I stopped now...” he let his voice trail off, taking in her frustrated expression for a moment before continuing, “But, seen as you asked so nicely...”
He stood up and unbuttoned the rest of his shirt, sliding it over his toned arms and removing it. Not quite being done with the teasing, he decided to take his time getting undressed, leaving his girlfriend laying tied up and needy on the bed as she watched. He neatly folded his shirt and placed it on the chair in the corner of the room. Smirking, he stood at the foot of the bed, deft fingers removing his belt and dropping it to the floor with a clatter, he shoved his trousers and boxers down and took his cock into his hand, pumping it a few times.
“God, you look fucking gorgeous.” he all but pounced on top of her, nuzzling his face into her neck.
It was as it something had switched in his brain, the teasing and tormenting now long forgotten as some primal urge took over. He needed to be inside her. His lips collided with hers, the kiss hungry and urgent. He undid her restraints with one hand, not even breaking contact with her lips.
He lined himself up with her entrance, urging her to wrap her legs around his waist as he pushed his way inside. Their moans mixed together as he entered. Having use of her hands back, Y/N couldn’t wait to touch him. Her hands moving rapidly up to tangle in his hair. Sirius rested his forehead against hers as he thrust his hips, the chain that hung from his neck dangling in her face, the cool metal cold against her flushed skin.
“You getting close, love?” Sirius asked, feeling his girlfriend tense up around him.
“Y-yeah. So close.” she let out a ragged breath, burying her face in the crook of his neck.
“Come for me, baby.”
Sirius increased his pace, driving her once more to the edge of orgasm, however, this time, he didn’t stop as she reached her peak, maintaining the steady rhythm of his thrusts as her orgasm came crashing down. She dragged her nails down his back causing him to let out a gruff moan as she convulsed around him.
“That’s my girl.”
“S-sensitive, Sirius. Fuck.” Y/N wriggled around on the bed, her body burning with the aftermath of her orgasm.
“Keep going, baby. You wanted this, yeah? Spent all that time begging me to let you come.” he taunted, “Want you to come again f’me. Want you to come at the same time as me. You can do that, can’t you?”
Y/N nodded quickly, grabbing the back of Sirius’s neck and pulling him down to kiss her. He smiled into the kiss, his hips snapping against hers as he chased his own high. His moans grew louder as she clenched around him, her hips rocking in time with his.
“Fuck, you feel so good. Always feel so good f’me.” he growled, “Gonna come inside you, baby. Gonna fill you up.”
Y/N’s chest heaved as she rapidly approached her peak once again. She could feel Sirius growing closer and close with each movement. The roll of his hips started to stutter and he sunk his teeth into the flesh between her shoulder and neck and he climaxed. Y/N followed suit, once again wrapping her legs around him, drawing him as close as she possibly could.
They both collapsed in a sweaty heap on the bed. Sirius reached over to brush her hair out of her face, propping himself up on one elbow as he gazed lovingly at her.
“Good game?” he reached down to catch her lips sweetly with his.
“Good game.”

@jegulus-microfic // january 14 // prompt: massage // words: 808
“Long night?” The bartender asks, towel slung over his shoulder as he pours Regulus another glass of whiskey.
“Long month,” he sighs. He massages his temples for a moment, but it doesn’t do anything to alleviate the headache that’s building up.
“Yeah? Wanna tell me about it?” The bartender busies himself with cleaning the counter. There’s no one else to tend to, after all. He looks up at Regulus over the rim of his glasses.
Regulus snorts out a laugh. Perhaps somewhat unattractively, but he doesn’t care. There’s no one left to impress, after all. “I don’t think you get paid enough for that.”
“I get paid plenty. Come on, I’m all ears.”
Regulus considers for a moment, glass loosely held between his fingertips. He swirls the liquid around. Tilts his head. “Well, at least tell me your name before I unload all my issues.”
The bartender moves so he’s standing right in front of him. He leans down, arms coming to rest on the counter. He has nice arms, Regulus notices. Strong. Corded. Veiny.
“James,” the bartender says. He tips his head as if to say nice to meet you.
“Well, James,” Regulus starts, “I’ve been dating.”
“Ah.”
“And it’s not going well.”
“Ah.”
“See, my first date was with a guy who was definitely in love with his roommate and asked me to drive him home an hour into the date because the roommate called. There was an emergency, apparently. I don’t know what type of emergency requires me to stop for condoms first, but I digress.”
Barty hadn’t even been apologetic about it. Told Regulus point-blank that he needed to pass by the store. Bought ribbed condoms and flavored lube. Directed Regulus to their apartment. For a brief moment, Barty had seemed to consider inviting him up.
“They’re nice though,” he continues with a shrug. “We hang out sometimes.” James chuckles in amusement, soft and low. “Second date was with a guy whose hair was so greasy, I swear you could deep fry something in that mess. And he kept talking about his childhood best friend, which was giving me stalker vibes, to be honest.”
James watches, rapt, as Regulus brings his glass to his mouth and tips it back, the whiskey burning through his system. It leaves him feeling warm and fuzzy around the edges. He’s not sure if it’s the whiskey, though, or James’ attentive gaze.
“And tonight?” James asks. “Date number three?”
“This was four, actually,” he sighs. “Three was a double date with my brother and his boyfriend and their friend, but the friend stood me up.”
“He did not,” James gasps, appropriately scandalized.
“Right?” Regulus sniffs. He stares into the bottom of his glass, amber liquid long gone, just to avoid the pity he knows he’ll find in James’ eyes. “Tonight was a miss, too. I don’t know, maybe I’m the problem. The undateable Regulus Black. The least eligible bachelor in all of England.” Regulus can’t help the derisive snort that escapes him.
“What did you just say?” James straightens. The movement is so sudden that Regulus startles with it.
There is a bitter twist of his mouth as he repeats his words. It feels a bit cruel to be asked for an encore of his self-deprecation, but Regulus has always had a hard time saying no to a pretty face. “The least eligible bachelor in all of England?”
“No, no, before that.”
He rolls his eyes. “The undateable Regulus Black?”
James takes a step back behind the bar, as if to get a better look at Regulus. He’s sure he’s quite the spectacle. Hair mussed, eyes bleary, tie undone because he’s been tugging at the knot all night.
“Shit, you’re Sirius’ brother. I— I had an unexpected shift last week, Peter got sick.” James cards a hand through his hair, tugging on some strands as he goes. “That’s why I couldn’t make it.”
Regulus jolts in his chair, leaning closer to James, eyes narrowed and lip curled up in a sneer. “Wait, you stood me up?”
“I didn’t know!” Two hands held up in surrender. Regulus thinks they’re nice hands. Skilled, too, because he saw James twirl bottles earlier. He wonders what those hands might feel like on his throat. No. He blinks harshly to clear his head. James is still standing there, hands raised. When Regulus leans back into his chair, he lowers them.
He turns to the shelves where the liquor is stocked, grabs the bottle of whiskey. Regulus forces himself not to think indecent thoughts about the man's back.
“Well then,” James says, pouring himself a drink after topping off Regulus’ glass. He shucks the towel off his shoulder, unbothered when it lands in a heap on the counter behind him. Shoots Regulus a wry grin, glass lifted mid-air as if toasting. “Fifth time’s the charm?”

Berlin Angel by @de-sire-blog (89.679 words) Rating: Explicit Relationships: Sirius Black/Remus Lupin
modern muggle AU Summary: Berlin is absolutely miserable in February. Or it’s just Sirius. Alternatively: A story of how Remus Lupin stepped into Sirius’ life, flashed his trademark grin, and reminded him that life is a beautiful thing meant to be enjoyed. No risk, no fun!
Comment: This fic made me miss Berlin SO much, and fall in love with this city and these characters all over again in such a beautiful way. I highly recommend checking this fic out if you haven't already, especially if you're a german speaker or have been/want to go to Berlin. Sirius being the most oblivious person ever is iconic and I just love Berlin Antifa Remus so, so much.

Hi i was just wondering if i could request something with James Potter being protective.
like maybe reader is a bartender and James is her bf and she is just chatting to him and Remus and Sirius when a guy comes over and is creepy towards her and it’s just James become protective.
Happy new year by the way!!!
James Potter my beloved 🫶
—————
“And what can I get you, handsome?” You asked with a smirk, glancing up to make eye contact with the beautiful hazel orbs that you had gotten the pleasure of growing accustomed to.
“That’s depends, what do you recommend?” He asked back, leaning his forearms against the bar and smirking at you.
“Gag!” Sirius called jokingly, coming up and clapping James on the shoulder, “That is not the kind of stuff I want to hear or see on my night off!”
Remus laughed, coming up beside the pair and offering you a friendly smile in greeting.
You shook your head at the trios antics and immediately went to work getting your longtime boyfriend and his your best friends their usual drinks.
Sirius often joked that the only reason he approved of you dating his best friend in the first place was because you worked as a bartender and therefore gave him an excuse to go out of drinks whenever.
As he and Remus turned and began chatting amongst themselves, your boyfriend turned his attention back to you, running a hand through his hair as his eyes raked up and down your body, “Can I just say that you look bloody gorgeous tonight, darling.”
Your eyebrows raised slightly as you looked down at your plain, all black work attire before chuckling slightly, “Such a flirt,”
He hummed in agreement, not taking his eyes off you as he took a sip of his drink, “But your flirt.”
“Yes, my flirt,” You laughed again, going back to your previous activity before they had arrived of wiping down glasses.
The bar was relatively empty tonight, with only a couple of groups standing around tables and a few friends playing some rounds of pool.
You happily went back and forth with James as you talked about your days in between getting orders for someone here and there.
“Hey there, gorgeous.”
All four of your heads snapped over to the new voice, all conversations ceasing as your gazes narrowed in on a man much older than all of you were standing in front of the bar, holding onto it with one hand while he swayed slightly.
You did your best not to grimace at the name, having grown used to it by now, but your friends and boyfriend didn’t seem as keen as you on ignoring it.
With your attention focused on the man, you missed the way Remus and Sirius exchanged glanced and the way James’s eyebrows furrowed as the grip he had on his glass tightened.
“What can I get for you, sir?” You asked politely, remembering having gotten him and his two friends a few rounds already within the past couple hours.
“Well,” He slurred, “I did come over here to ask you for another round, but I can think of a few things that would be much more interesting to ask you to do for me.” The smirk on his face had the exact opposite effect that James’s smirk had on you, this one made you sick to your stomach.
Your nose crinkled at his suggestive tone and your lips curled in disgust as you took a slight step back despite the fact that you had a whole bar separating the two of you.
“Oi!” James snapped angrily, slamming his glass down so hard that you were surprised it didn’t shatter, “That’s no way to talk to a lady, let alone my lady.” He snarled, hands curling into fists at his side as he took a threatening step towards the man.
If the man had held his hands up in surrender and walked away right then, James would have let him go- granted, he would have been glaring at him dangerously for the duration of his stay- but there would be no need to escalate things. But the man just had to open his mouth again.
The guys eyebrows went up, clearly not having noticed your boyfriend before he had pushed away from the counter and he let out a scoff, rolling his eyes at him, “Mind your business and go find your own slut, this one’s mine.”
Wrong move.
Within a split second, James was on top of him in a state of fury and cursing, sending his fist flying into the man’s nose hard enough to allow a sickening crunch to echo through the bar. But he didn’t stop there. As the man stumbled to the ground, James harshly kicked him back and got on top of him, clocking him in the face over and over again.
People began murmuring and milling around to see what all the commotion was about, and it only took the guys friends a second to realize that he was in trouble, and they quickly sprang forward to help.
Sirius and Remus intercepted them, though, holding them and arms length. When they were met with retaliation, neither one of them hesitated with sending a good right hook to each of the friends faces.
You could do nothing but watch in horror as your boyfriend and best friends fought against these men- mostly winning, but the couple good hits landed on them were enough to churn your stomach more than any disgusting pervs words ever could.
When Remus and Sirius finally realized enough was enough, they left their guys sputtering on the ground and quickly rushed over to pry James- who was still swinging- off of the man, who looked like he was on the verge of unconsciousness.
Blood ran down and coated the strangers faces in red, no doubt hiding some ugly bruises as well. Your boys on the other hand only had a couple shiners and James had a busted lip, with his glasses also slightly cracked.
The crowd that had formed slowly began to fan out and turn back to their normal activities once they realized the show was over, and the three winners of the brawl stood, panting over the losers.
“Take care of your girl,” Remus muttered to James, “We’ll handle this.”
With that, he and Sirius hauled all three men to their feet by their collars and began dragging them out the bar.
James didn’t waste a second with turning around and quickly clambering over the bar until he was stopped right in front of you, who was still frozen in shock.
“Love? Darling?” He asked worriedly, gingerly taking your face between his hands, “Are you alright?”
You finally snapped out of whatever daze you had been in and you put your hands over his and stared at him as if he had gone insane, “Am I alright? Are you alright? You just got into a bloody fight, James.”
“He shouldn’t have said those things to and about you.” He said determinedly, lips curling up into a sneer at the mere thought of it.
You huffed slightly, “I’ve dealt with it before.”
He sighed and leaned forward, closing his eyes as he set a delicate kiss to your forehead, “But you shouldn’t have to,” He whispered when he pulled away slightly.
“It’s apart of life, James.” You looked at him with soft eyes.
His head just shook back and forth stubbornly, “Not while I’m around.”
You smiled slightly, reaching on your tiptoes and placing a soft, lingering kiss on his lips, “Not while you’re around,” You repeated in a whisper before pulling away and taking his hands off your face to examine them, “Now, come on, let’s go in the back and get some ice for the three of you.”
