The Monster You Wanted (Alec Volturi x Reader)
Warning: Dark themes! Blood! Violence!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After being turned into a vampire, the persons human loved ones would deem them unrecognisable. Physically their loved ones features have altered. They're beautiful but some can't ignore the pit in their stomach when seeing the piercing stare their loved one has. However, the biggest change is actually in personality.
For the first year, a vampires sole purpose is to quench their never ending bloodlust. They'd do anything to get it. Driven mad by constant thirst for human blood. So much so there's almost nothing left to be seen of the human that was once known. A monster wearing a loved ones skin.
After that first year, the person that used to be can come back, but never entirely. Those who were caring, will begin to care that little bit more after that year. Although underneath, there is still the predatory instincts that require a level-head. Not everyone has the patience of a saint. No longer are vampires strangers to violence. A perfect mix of a terrifying monster and the human that used to be.
In theory, you shouldn't have been any different. Yet there was no doubt that you were. You were the latest addition to the Olympic coven and almost everyone knew about you. You were very young, barely over six months since your transformation. By definition, you here half way through newborn stage. Although not once in that time had you acted like a newborn. You avoided humans like the plague, finding the smell too much. Although this went beyond self control. It also included the immense guilt you felt at the very thought of feeding from a human. Furthermore, you were more kind than anyone in the Cullen's could ever be. You thought the best of everyone to the extent it was almost naive.
Some found it strange, off putting such as Peter and Charlotte. So much so that they tried to keep their distance just in case you were to snap. Although you never did. Others, like the Romanians and the Volturi thought it childish, and pathetic. It made you almost outcast from the rest seeing nothing you had done in your vampire life was normal. You were kind but quiet. Unlike any vampire surrounding you, coven or not, it was known you couldn't hurt a fly and everything about that in their eyes was just plain wrong.
It was you and Emmett who were sent to fetch the Volturi. Knowing their past, it wouldn't go down well if the wolves caught sight of any unknown vampire. Especially those who belong to the Volturi. Emmett's goofy personality was long gone and watched each Volturi like a hawk for even the smallest of movements. It was of no surprise that Carlisle sent the muscle of the coven as well as the newborn. It was a surprise considering it was you. The most harmless newborn ever known.
Although your kindness could appeal to the leaders. Aro knew Carlisle well. "Ah, young (Y/N). It is always a delight to be greeted with such a lovely face." You rocked back and forth on your heels. It was common given how much adrenaline you had most of the time. Sometimes you just couldn't sit still. Although many considered it an easy fix, a few newborn rages would fix such an issue. "Hello." You said simply with a smile. "Carlisle sent us to fetch you. Just so you don't run into any issues with the pack." "That is appreciated, dear." Marcus responded. "Although unnecessary." Caius added with a small scowl. Your head quickly turned to Emmett. "Let's go!" You chirped, skipping back to the house, your hands behind your back.  "How childish." Felix said to Demetri under his breath. "They're a newborn, be glad someone's pleased to see you." Emmett responded with snark. "Keep your voice down." "Or what? They'll hug me to death?" Felix challenged. "It's not (Y/N) you'll be dealing with." Emmett looked back at Felix. "Emmett." Rosalie warned as you skipped by her with a grin and without a care in the world and into the Cullen home. Almost like you hadn't heard the exchange.
"Thank you, Emmett." Carlisle approached the door with a smile as the group entered. "What about me!?" You cried out from upstairs. "Thank you as well, (Y/N)!" Carlisle called back with an amused smile before addressing the Volturi. "My apologies I couldn't come out to meet you. I had a phone call from the hospital." "Not at all, Carlisle." Aro responded.
Felix and the twins moved into the sitting room where Emmett, yourself and Jasper were. You stared at the remote for the TV like it held the world's secrets. "(Y/N), it's easy just pick it up gently." Emmett said. "My gentle isn't the same as your gentle!" You replied. "I don't want to break it!" "You have broken a grand total of four things in this house, (Y/N). All of us have done that in fifteen minutes. Just pick it up. You're overthinking it." Emmett said with ease. "I have to overthink it or I will break it." You replied again. Your hand hovered over the remote, pulling back every time you got close to touching it as if it had bit you. The three guards couldn't believe what they were seeing. Here was a newborn of seven months, jerking away from an inanimate object like it could hurt them. Each guard broke many things in minutes without thinking, including necks. It was very apparent on their faces since Jasper gave them a cold stare in warning. Next thing the Volturi guards knew, you had grasped the remote and apologising to it. They couldn't believe their eyes. "Take it!" You chanted hurriedly to Emmett who chuckled and took it from you. That night, you were agitated. You were hunched over, arms across your stomach and a hand on your throat. Meanwhile Felix and Alec were in the room with you, watching as this went down. They heard you stifling small groans and trying to clear your throat. "What's wrong?" Felix asked but didn't really care. "Nothing." You whispered doubling over a little further. "Seriously, what's with you?" Felix rolled his eyes. That's when Caius walked in and behind him, Jasper. Jasper looked at you. "It's about time you fed. You know it doesn't affect us the same way." You shook your head. "Come, I'll go with you. It's time." You sighed rising to a stand. Jasper led you out the door leaving the Volturi members in the room alone. "They had to be prompted to feed? Disgraceful." Caius sneered. "They feel guilt often." Carlisle said as he walked into the room. "They aren't quite used to and accepting if this life yet." "It's been seven months." Caius responded coldly. "Even you can admit their behaviour is a little odd, Carlisle." "Perhaps, but what would that change?" Carlisle lightly shrugged. "It's unheard of but they haven't been a problem to you or to me."
Alec sat on a tree branch rather high up, enjoying the night when you returned. "I didn't take you as the climbing trees kind!" You called up to him with a smile. Alec lightly shrugged. You eyed the route to the branch he was on. It was simple enough. The branch trembled as you moved to sit beside him on the branch. Using the branch above as leverage and stepping over him. Alec internally sighed, it seemed the solitude was short lived. "Are you okay? I usually wouldn't think anything of it but you're out here alone whilst your sister is inside." You asked. "Well we aren't conjoined twins." Alec said coldly and you seemed taken aback. Such tone would have caused any other newborn to attack but not you. Never you. The silence made him rethink his words. "What I mean to say is that I'm fine. My sister and I always spend some time apart. It isn't exactly healthy to spend so much time with someone." "Oh, as long as you're okay. Do you want me to leave you alone?" "Do what you wish." Alec responded. "I won't force you to leave after all your effort to get up here and not break the tree." Alec hadn't meant it to be funny. In fact if anything it was supposed to be insulting. Yet you laughed, seeing the funny side. "Well when you put it that way." You swung your legs. "I'll stick around." Alec hummed. "Not many people would willingly choose my company." Alec mused with a hum. "I'm not like most people." You responded flatly, your smile long gone as you looked up into the sky.
Alec turned his head to look at you and in that moment he knew that you knew how everyone felt about you. "Are you feeling better?" Alec asked. "A little. It did more for my stomach than it did my throat if I'm honest. I thought a mountain lion would have done the trick." Alec wanted to call you an idiot. You didn't have to be the smartest to know that newborns were ravenous. Not even a whole pack of mountain lions would have been enough. Furthermore, animal blood was no where near as fulfilling as human blood. "Well," Alec said whilst looking around. "If you start feeling hungry again, I'm sure there are a few squirrels around." You giggled. "I never knew you were funny." Alec hummed again. "I don't know how you can sustain yourself on that. Animal blood. I never understood in general but a newborn? I don't know how you aren't destroying villages at the very thought." You shrugged. "I've never had human blood so I have nothing to compare it to. Besides, from what I heard. It's better that way. Seemingly once you have human blood its really hard to go back." "Will you at least admit that it's disgusting?" Alec asked, turning to look at you. You bit back a smile. "Go on, admit it. It's disgusting." "It is but, it works." You admitted and Alec rolled his eyes.
"I hear you've been in the Volturi for a very long time." You spoke up. "Yes, a very long time." Alec answered. "Do you remember what it was like to be a newborn?" "Not entirely. You remember it differently from the other years of your existence.i remember destroying and burning my village to the ground. I remember the rage I felt, the ravenous hunger but it's like remembering a dream. Nothing directly reminds me of it." Alec said. You went quiet, deep in thought. "I couldn't imagine going through what you and your sister did. I found it vile, how anyone could do that to another person." "Not everyone is like you, (Y/N). People usually hate what they don't understand. There are people in the world who want to hurt people, who live for it...like I do." You turned your head to Alec. "I've always been honest. That night changed my sister and I. I don't have an issue with hurting people despite what my gift may be." "You think people should suffer because you did?" You asked quietly and Alec nodded. "Not the best outlook but it's there. I don't intend on changing that any time soon. In fact, that makes me wonder about you." "Me?" "My experiences made me who I am today. So what happened to you to make you the way you are?" You lowered your head. "There really isn't a story to tell." You admitted. "A vampire came across me, thought I was sweet. They figured it was enough reasoning to change me. Carlisle found me before I woke up. I never found out who they were." After a moment of thought, you lightly shrugged. "I don't really believe it changed me much...or at all." "You've never wandered, strayed from the Cullen way of living?" Alec asked. "No, I don't have any intention either. Why?" "It's not often that newborns stay put and in control. You find they like to go nomadic. They just don't do well in covens. Although, I can't say it's impossible. Here you are." "You know I'll always be around." You smiled brightly.
Days passed and he found himself spending more time with you than intended. He didn't dare admit you were growing on him. Instead, he did his best to swallow it down and pretend it wasn't there.
You had been used to comments about you by now. Everyone made your behaviour known to be different. You’d be lying if they hadn’t begun to take their toll since the Volturi had arrived. It just meant more pairs of eyes casting judgement on what you should be rather than what you were. The Volturi considered newborn vampires, uncontrollable monsters. Therefore you couldn’t understand why they took such issue with you being the exact opposite. Then again, perhaps you did. Caius had said at least four times that your behaviour wasn’t natural. In the end, they had already drawn their conclusions about you. The Cullen’s were never so blunt. Sure, you were a little different but they welcomed that. After all, they were different too because of their diet. Although you could still see the flicker in their eyes of slight confusion. At least they had the decency to try and hide it.
Much to your surprise, you had spent much more time with Alec. You would have called him a friend but you weren’t too sure if he’d say the same. He still had his own judgements but he didn’t avoid your company. In your eyes, knowing Alec, that was progress.
The comments had begun to wear you down and that became evident. You weren’t as lively and cheerful. You had begun to seek out solitude, to the extent that Alec would seek you out for company rather than vice versa. That is when you didn’t talk as much, always saying enough for a decent answer but never going further. You spent more times out doors.  “Something’s wrong.” Rosalie said, watching you sit with Renesmee. She was full of life and, usually, so would you. Not this time. Instead you sat on the ground, not even cracking a smile. Carlisle stood behind Rosalie, his arms crossed and concern etched across his face.  He said nothing as he left the house, approaching the two of you.  “Renesmee, might I speak with (Y/N) alone for a moment?” Carlisle asked. Renesmee nodded with a smile before running inside. Carlisle sat beside you, his back against the tree beside you. “You have us a little worried, (Y/N). Is there anything I can help with?” Carlisle didn’t need three guesses to know what had bothered you. However he thought it important that you said it for yourself. You didn’t look at Carlisle, your eyes falling to your lap.
After a moment of silence, he spoke up. “Have i ever told you that before I had a coven, I stayed with the Volturi for a decade...on the animal blood diet.” This got your attention, making you look up at Carlisle. He nodded in confirmation. “I was the only one they knew of with such a diet and they didn’t understand it. Aro and Caius tried to change me, bring me to feed on human blood but at the end of the day, it isn’t what I wanted and eventually they grew to respect that. So i know what it’s like for those to be unsatisfied with who you are, to not fulfill expectations. Although I also know that words come and go and you don’t have to change for anyone.“  “Did it get easier?” Carlisle hummed. “It took a long time but i found people who accepted me. Not to mention finding the one who loved me the most of all.”  “What did you do then?” You asked. Carlisle smiled. “I made them my family and i married the one who loved me the most.” You cracked a small smile at the mention of the Cullen’s and Denali. It faltered as something took over your mind and Carlisle’s gaze narrowed slightly, noticing the shift.  “I feel like a freak.” You whispered. “I’m tired of constantly maintaining appearances, all the while everyone is looking at me. I used to be able to ignore it, think of myself as the lucky one who didn’t have to be this monster that newborns are described to be...but now i can’t even do that.” Carlisle listened as you continued. “Everyone’s afraid of me. I see the look everyone gives me. It makes me afraid of me too.”  “(Y/N), you are a wonderful person and no one is afraid of you. You have given us no reason to be-”  “-but that's what is wanted, for me to be that monster everyone is so afraid of. As though that's what is best for the world.” You interrupted. “It makes me sad, but it’s also starting to make me angry.”  “They’ll be leaving soon, just endure. I promise, no one can hurt you. Not unless you let them. When they’re gone, you and I could go on a trip, whatever you like.” You nodded slowly in response. “Maybe.” You said quietly.
The Volturi left two days later. You had gotten many comments in that time. However, you had most certainly gained a friend by the end of the visit. After that, the Cullen's left for a hunt. You chose to stay behind. You weren't hungry. It wasn't a lie. Although they returned the next morning to find you gone without even so much as a note. After a lot of discussion within the coven, Carlisle insisted that the Cullen's left you alone and that you would be back. Edward returned after all.
'This world will eat you whole. This world will eat you whole!' You didn't remember why that sentence stuck to you like glue but it never left you. Never had it felt more applicable and ironic. You were on the top of the food chain. Yet you didn't feel like it. You felt as though you were drowning in the world, at the very bottom. You had no clue how long you had been walking. Although you also didn't care, a dark numb sensation flooding through your body.
Three months had passed and you hadn't so much had made a call. Eventually the Cullen's contacted the Volturi to inform them that (Y/N) had been gone for a long time. The Volturi offered Demetri's services but Carlisle refused the offer, maintaining you'd return upon your own accord. Although he thought it right to inform the Volturi for Alec seeing as the two of you had developed a friendship.
“Why do people do that?” Esme said to Carlisle. The light breeze brushing the hair from her face, revealing her coal black eyes.  “Do what?” Carlisle asked softly.  “Try to change people they don’t understand.” She answered.  “Some require it. There are dangerous people in the world, Esme.”  “(Y/N) wasn’t one of them.” Esme responded.  “You’re right.” Carlisle responded. “There are many who don’t need to be changed. It’s simply down to the fear of the unknown. Our kind didn’t understand (Y/N) so the first impulse is to try and change them.”  “It’s horrible.” Esme said quietly.  “They’ll come back, Esme. They aren’t the type to just disappear from off the face of the earth. They just need some time.”  “I tried so hard to make sure they knew they were loved. It wasn’t enough. I wasn’t enough.” Carlisle took Esme’s hand and kissed it gently. “You’re too good for this world sometimes, my love.” Carlisle said softly with a smile.
The rain poured down, soaking your clothes and skin. It was nightfall, but you could still differentiate the dark, large clouds smothering the sky. You must have looked odd, walking in the outing rain without even a jacket. Although you didn't feel the cold. It didn't bite at you like it had when you were human. As a matter of fact, you barely felt it. The town around you went unnoticed by you. However you didn't go unnoticed.
"(Y/N)!?" A female voice called out and you slowed to a stop. Slowly your turned your head towards the voice. "Get in! You'll freeze out here!" It was Angela Weber. You had seen her around a couple of times. Although you were 'home schooled', so those times were usually indirect encounters with someone else. You could hear her heart beat quicken, worry etched across her face. Without protest or even a twitch, you crossed the street and into the car.
"What are you doing out here!? Did you just get caught in the rain!?" You didn't respond, staring ahead through the windshield although you raised her shoulders up and down as though you were breathing. "I'll take you back to the hotel, you'll freeze out there with that." She nodded to your clothing before driving. "What are you doing here?" You asked quietly. "I've been looking at universities out with Forks. The one I'm in, doesn't really fit me. So I've taken the opportunity to get some travel in whilst I've been looking. What about you?" She asked. "What brings you all the way out here. Is Dr Cullen with you too?" Slowly you shook your head, but didn't give her an answer as to why you were there. Whilst she looked concerned, she didn't press the issue. You knew Angela well enough to know that she was thinking the worst, that something could have it has happened to you. It was sweet of her but unnecessary.
She led you to her hotel room. "You can take a shower and...if you give me your clothes, I can put them on the radiator to dry off. I have a hoodie and some pajamas that you can borrow." You nodded, heading into the bathroom. You did as she said, not because you needed or would benefit from it, but because you were watching her like a hawk eyed it's prey. You let her be comfortable and do things of her own accord almost like she'd forget you were ever there.
Whilst you were in the shower, Angela popped her head around the door, not looking at you and gathering your clothes. "I'm just getting these." She said, bundling your soaked clothes into her arms and promptly closing the door. She returned seconds later to drop off a towel and the clothes she'd let you borrow. You were quiet, quieter than Angela remembered. It had crossed her mind to call someone but decided against it. She could handle this. Perhaps you needed the shower and a good night's sleep. Then the two of you could figure out what to do for you in the morning. It required patience to hang all of your clothes on such a small radiator but it was manageable. Your clothes were freezing to the touch and soaked. So much so Angela wasn't even sure if they'd be dry by morning and she had no doubt they were uncomfortable in such a condition. However she would still try. It was a cheaper option to have a hotel room with one bed and one bathroom. She was provided a small TV plugged in, on top of the drawers. Although it wasn't so beneficial now that there were two of you. She turned on the TV simply to break the silence, casting a glance the the pouring rain gliding down the small window above the radiator.
After ten minutes, you emerged in the hoodie and shorts she had provided. She offered you a small smile and you returned it. "Do you mind if we share the bed? I didn't anticipate two of us." Angela smiled meekly. "It's a double bed, so it shouldn’t be a bother." You responded somewhat quietly. "Good." She nodded.
After some time, Angela was lying on top of the bed, typing on her laptop. Whilst you had been mesmerized by the pixels on the TV. The TV was so cheap and looked to be slightly older in make that you, with heightened eyesight could see every flickering colourful pixel. Much like what you would have seen when pressed your face close to the TV before your mother scolded you for being too close. It was some comedy late night show with a man how looked to be in his sixties. You couldn't remember who he was but supposedly he was popular. He had the audience roaring with laughter but you watched blankly, as though not in on the joke. You were watching it but not necessarily listening. "Hey, I was thinking." Angela began. You turned as she gained your attention. "I left out that sweater over there for you. I noticed you don't have a jacket and whilst it's not much, I figured it's an extra layer until you get a new one." You followed her pointed gaze to a green sweater that looked to be thin, had a zip and a hood. "Thank you." You whispered. "It's not a problem but...can I ask you something?" You nodded. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine." You responded passively. "You're sure? I was worried something had happened." You shook your head in response. "Nothing happened. I just got caught in the rain and hadn't brought a jacket."
After an hour or two it was 'bed time'. You made sure to keep a distance from Angela, so she couldn’t feel how cold your body was. The only sound made was Angela's breathing except the slight buzz of the TV that would have been barely audible to a human from such a distance. You had rolled onto your side, facing her, once you knew she was asleep.
She lay on her back, glasses at her bedside table and arms on her stomach. You stared at her for quite some time, feeling the build up of venom in your mouth and the urge to feed steadily grow. She wore a tank top that night leaving no barrier and complete access to her throat  Slowly you sat up. You contemplated it, it hadn't been the first time as of late. Although the thought didn't bring you any excitement. Human blood still wasn't tempting enough to let go. Besides, you had already fed before arriving in the town. Whilst Angela had always been nice to you, her friends weren't so accommodating. They were reclusive and much like people their age, couldn't help but judge your odd behaviour. You were a Cullen after all, but you were the Cullen that wasn't seen, the home schooled one. The only reason they even knew what you had looked like was because Alice and Bella bumped into Jessica, Angela, Mike and Ben whilst out and your gold eyes were a big hint. Whilst Angela had her moments of kindness, it didn't change that she was mostly a follower of Jessica. She enabled any of Jessica's comments, with a light chastise that always went ignored.  Your reached over, your hand inches away from curling around Jessica's throat, staring at her intently. You pulled back, hands resting upon your knees.
Angela woke up after sleeping well, much to her surprise. How her day had went, often impacted her sleep that night and she didn't have high hopes after seeing you in such a bizarre state. She rolled over, thinking you'd be beside her...but you weren't. She sat up and you were nowhere to be seen. Your clothes on the radiator gone as well as the green sweater. Folded neatly was her hoodie and shorts she had let you borrow. She reached over for her glasses and phone to check the time. It was nine thirty in the morning. She unlocked her phone to see an unsent message to Ben. One she hadn't remembered writing. 'Thank you :)'
"Weeks have passed and they still haven't returned?" Alec asked looking over to Demetri who shook his head. "They'll be fine." Jane told her brother nonchalantly. "What else do you expect from a newborn other than to go rogue?" "You heard how they were feeling when we were there." Alec countered. "I can't pretend this is a newborn with a change of heart about their priorities. It's not like them to do this." "You barely know them." Felix said flatly, making Alec glare at him. "I know them well enough to know something isn't right." "It isn't important Alec and until they make a mistake, it isn't our business." Jane responded. "We made it our business when we decided they weren't like us." Alec argued back. "So what do you want to do? Go after them?" Jane asked in annoyance. "No." Alec said sharply. "Then why do you care? They're barely your friend, Alec." "Well, well, well, look who it is." You stopped when you heard the male voice. You were aware of a presence, two of them as two scents hit your nostrils but you didn't think they'd approach. Of course, your suspicions were confirmed by the accent. You turned to be face to face with Vladimir and Stefan, the two remaining members of the Romanian coven.
You didn't bother mustering a greeting, no longer seeing why you should give anyone anything if they were simply going to use it at your expense. "Carlisle's youngest has wandered off." Vladimir smirked. "Wandered very far to be here, of all places." Stefan agreed. "This is our territory and it's rude to show up uninvited." Vladimir said. You stuffed your hands in the pockets of your green sweater. "Hm? Nothing to say? Not even as much as a 'hello'?" Stefan tilted his head. You stared at the two blankly as they continued. "Not even so much as a smile. “My, my, that's a first." Stefan smirked. Vladimir hummed in amusement.
The two moved closer to you and you did nothing. Vladimir scoffed, nudging his fingers forcefully against the side of your head. "Absolutely pointless for a newborn." He said to himself. "You'd have attacked the moment you caught onto us if you were anything like a newborn." Stefan said with a sigh of disappointment. "It's a waste of power really." Vladimir agreed. "Now where is that little newborn who was always so happy as we insulted them? Where has that pretty smile gone?" Stefan grinned. "I don't need to do anything for your entertainment." You responded. Apparently they didn't like that answer as Vladimir roughly grabbed your face. "That's because you're laughable by your existence alone." Vladimir seethed threw you to the ground. "You're embarrassing to our kind. Consider yourself nothing less." You had begun to feel anger bubble within you at the out of your stomach but you swallowed it down, an ability most newborns didn't have and almost everyone took advantage of. You looked up at Vladimir from the forest ground with a soft glare.
Eleazar was following a brown bear, careful not to be noticed, careful not to startle it in anyway with any sudden noises. His hunting ability as a vampire allowed him to stalk his prey with ease.  Although to Eleazar's surprise, he wasn't the only one hunting this bear.
He locked eyes with you and he was almost horrified. You were dirty, your clothes covered in dirt and your green sweater falling off of one shoulder slightly. You had your eyes focused on Eleazar and he knew you had left the Cullen's suddenly. Although he didn't think you'd end up in Alaska. Your eyes were black and he heard you stifle a quiet groan within your stomach as an arm wrapped around your stomach. There was no doubt in Eleazar's mind you were hungry. However something told him there was something worse going on with you. You had lost your smile, your eyes empty. You looked unharmed yet you resembled nothing of the newborn he had met months ago. He knew about you just as almost everyone else did. Your behaviour, he had never seen before but he mostly kept any comment of that to himself. He knew how gentle and delicate you could be. The (Y/N) he knew couldn't hurt anyone.
However the (Y/N) that stood before him was very different as shown when your lips pulled back as you barred your teeth with a low growl. Something told Eleazar to let you take the bear. Although he couldn't figure out why that feeling crept up on him. Perhaps it had been the shock of hearing you growl as he slowly raised his hands and backed off. He had never heard you growl and from Carlisle's account, you rarely did. It happened barely two times in your whole, now, 9 and a half months of this life. He couldn't help but be fearful of the newborn before him, fearful of you than he had ever been. You took off after the bear, leaving Eleazar behind.
As the tenth month rolled around, another trial was being held. However, the Cullen's had decided enough was enough and the coven went to the Volturi for help to find you. There they ended up having to witness the demise of the nomadic vampire.
He was around eighteen and didn't care for the laws. This made him a reckless feeder. Give him enough time and he'd have the humans attention soon enough. As expected he didn't come quietly and fought back with every step of the way. What made him more of a threat is that he was in his newborn year. Therefore he still had the strength to his advantage. He created more fuss than he was worth, only controlled properly when retrained by both Felix and Demetri as well as Jane using her gift for good measure.
What wasn't expected was you bursting through the throne room doors. You wasted no time, lunging towards the nomad and a full blown fight ensued. The two newborns snarled and growled with fury that would remind anyone of an animal. Both the Volturi and the Cullen's were stunned and unable to move. Your outfit you had left in was covered in dirt. You wore a green sweater that was unfamiliar and your hair was messy. You were almost unrecognisable to the two covens in behaviour.  You suddenly gained the advantage, getting the newborn to the floor underneath you. Which animalistic screeching you tore at him, his head gone but you weren't done, tearing into his body with an unsolicited rage that only newborns had.
Felix was first to step forward and you immediately turned to him with a snarl, as though protecting your territory. "(Y/N)?" Alec called out softly. Your head turned to him, still in a crouched position. It was you, there was no doubt but you didn't act like yourself. Suddenly your face twitched, a grimace. Then you kept your eye on everyone in the room. "Have you been harmed?" Carlisle asked softly. You didn't respond, continuing to eye each person warily. "(Y/N)?" Alec said again. It was all he could manage out. You turned to Alec again, this time locking eyes with him. Your gold eyes meeting his red ones. "Where have you been?" Alec asked quietly, questions finally beginning to return to him. Immediately you curled into yourself slightly. "They're hungry." Felix stated. That was when the receptionist entered the room.
"I-I tried to inform you sooner but I-" It was all she got to manage out before you lunged at her. Your teeth but down with a vice grip and she screamed in pain and terror. You threw her to the ground without breaking away, biting even harder. She screamed more as you moved your head quickly, trying to get more blood. It was torture at the very least but both covens knew better than to even attempt to stop you. They could only look down in horror at what you had become. All remembering that this would have been your first taste of human blood.
Even after the receptionist was dead, you sucked her dry for every little drop, so much so that the silence made the sight last longer than it should. You finally pulled your face away, mouth covered in blood. You turned to look at the Volturi and the Cullen's, grinning with bloodied teeth. The question you asked was quiet but chilling. "Isn't this what you wanted?"

I Wonder - Sleeping Beauty
🌈🧡
I wonder, I wonder, I wonder why each little bird has a someone To sing to, sweet things to, A gay little love melody I wonder, I wonder, I wonder if my heart keeps singing, Will my song go winging To someone, who'll find me And bring back a love song to me...
Mother Knows Best - Tangled
🏳️‍🌈 honestly this is just... a general song for some of our shitty relationships to guardian figures...
It's a scary world out there Mother knows best One way or another Something will go wrong, I swear
Me, I'm just your mother, what do I know? I only bathed and changed and nursed you Go ahead and leave me, I deserve it Let me die alone here, be my guest When it's too late You'll see, just wait Mother knows best
Don't forget it You'll regret it...
Dangerous to Dream - Frozen Broadway Production
🏳️‍🌈
I can't be what you expect of me But I'm trying every day with all I do and do not say Here on the edge of the abyss Knowing everything in my whole life has lead to this And so I pull inside myself, close the walls, put up my guard I've practiced every single day for this So why is it so hard?
I can't dwell on what we've lost And our secrecy and silence comes at such a cost
I wish I could tell the truth Show you who's behind the door I wish you knew what all this pantomime And pageantry was for
It's dangerous to wish I could make choices of my own Dangerous to even have that thought I'm dangerous just standing here for everyone to see If I let go of rules who knows how dangerous I'd be?
Reflection - Mulan
🏳️‍🌈🤍🖤- literally everyone requested this. everyone. so im just copy-pasting the entire lyrics sorry not sorry
Look at me, I will never pass for a perfect bride Or a perfect daughter Can it be I'm not meant to play this part? Now I see that if I were truly to be myself I would break my family's heart
Who is that girl I see staring straight back at me? Why is my reflection someone I don't know? Somehow I cannot hide who I am, though I’ve tried  When will my reflection show who I am inside?
How I pray that a time will come I can free myself From their expectations On that day, I'll discover someway to be myself And to make my family proud They want a docile lamb No one knows who I am Must there be a secret me I'm forced to hide? Must I pretend that I'm Someone else for all time? When will my reflection show Who I am inside? When will my reflection show Who I am inside?

Into the Unknown - Frozen 2
🏳️‍🌈
I can hear you, but I won't Some look for trouble while others don't There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day And ignore your whispers which I wish would go away
I've had my adventure, I don't need something new I'm afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you
Or are you someone out there who's a little bit like me? Who knows deep down I'm not where I'm meant to be? Every day's a little harder as I feel my power grow Don't you know there's part of me that longs to go
Where are you going? Don't leave me alone How do I follow you Into the unknown?
Go the Distance - Hercules
🏳️‍🌈
I have often dreamed of a far off place Where a great, warm welcome will be waiting for me

Learn Me Right - Brave

Strange Sight - Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

Kiss the Girl - cover of The Little Mermaid
this version is sung by a girl so 🧡💕
There you see her, sitting there across the way She don't got a lot to say but there's something about her And you don't know why, but you're dying to try You wanna kiss the girl
Yes, you want her Look at her, you know you do It's possible she want you too There is one way to ask her...
Can You Feel the Love Tonight - The Lion King
🏳️‍🌈
An enchanted moment And it sees me through It's enough for this restless warrior Just to be with you
There's a time for everyone if they only learn That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn There's a rhyme and reason to the wild outdoors When the heart of this star-crossed voyager Beats in time with yours
And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer That we got this far And can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest It's enough to make kings and vagabonds Believe the very best
Beauty and the Beast - Beauty and the Beast
🏳️‍🌈- a lot of queer people tend to empathize with “beastly” characters so we all latched the fuck onto this movie huh
Just a little change, small to say the least Both a little scared, neither one prepared
Ever just the same, ever a surprise Ever as before, ever just as sure As the sun will rise
Tale as old as time, tune as old as song Bittersweet and strange, finding you can change Learning you were wrong...
Healing Incantation - Tangled
🏳️‍🌈🤍🖤
Heal what has been hurt Change the fates' design Save what has been lost Bring back what once was mine
So Close - Enchanted
🏳️‍🌈🌈
A life goes by, romantic dreams will stop So I bid mine goodbye and never knew So close was waiting waiting here with you And now, forever, I know All that I wanted to hold you so close
Oh, how could I face the faceless days If I should lose you now?
So close to reaching that famous happy end Almost believing this one's not pretend Let’s go on dreaming though we know we are So close, so close, and still So far...
If Only - Descendants
🏳️‍🌈🌈
A million thoughts in my head Should I let my heart keep listening? Cause up 'til now, I've walked the line Nothing lost but something missing I can't decide what's wrong, what's right Which way should I go?
Every step, every word With every hour I'm feeling in To something new, something brave To someone I've never been
Will you still be with me When the magic's all run out?
If only I knew what my heart was telling me Don't know what I'm feeling Is this just a dream? If only I could read the signs in front of me I could find the way to who I'm meant to be
Wherever You Are - Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin
🏳️‍🌈- out of context could be interpreted as romantic, esp since the credits version is a duet (🌈 💕) but the original context is friendship so honestly it’s very 💜💚
I'm out here in the dark, all alone and wide awake Come and find me I'm empty and I'm cold, and my heart's about to break Come and find me
I need you to come here and find me Cause without you, I'm totally lost I've hung a wish on every star It hasn't done much good so far I can only dream of you
But when the morning comes and the sun begins to rise, I will lose you Because it’s just a dream, when I open up my eyes, I will lose you
I used to believe in forever, But forever is too good to be true I've hung a wish on every star It hasn't done much good so far
I don't know what else to do Except to try to dream of you And wonder, if you're dreaming too Wherever you are
I Won’t Say (I’m In Love) - Hercules
🏳️‍🌈 🌈 💕
If there's a prize for rotten judgment, I guess I've already won that
Who d'you think you're kiddin'? He's the earth and heaven to ya Try to keep it hidden Honey, we can see right through ya Girl, you can't conceal it We know how you feel And who you're thinking of
I thought my heart had learned its lesson It feels so good when you start out My head is screaming "Get a grip, girl!" Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
You keep on denying Who you are and how you're feeling Baby, we're not buying Hon, we saw you hit the ceiling
This scene won't play I won't say I'm in love
At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love
Endless Night - The Lion King Broadway Production
🏳️‍🌈🤍 🖤
Where has the starlight gone? Dark is the day How can I find my way home? Home is an empty dream, lost to the night Father, I feel so alone
When will the dawning break, oh, endless night Sleepless I dream of the day
I know that the night must end And that the sun will rise I know that the clouds must clear And that the sun will shine
Set Yourself Free - Tangled: The Series
🏳️‍🌈🤍
There's much more inside of you than anyone can see And now the choice is yours Life waits beyond the doors So step on through, the time has come And only you can set yourself free!
No one else can tell you what to do Or who to be! No one gets to say if you will stay or go
Look inside your heart and find the key... And set yourself free!
Bound up by your worries Trapped by your mistakes Forced to play a role you never chose Why not test your limits? You've got what it takes Let it out and follow where it goes
No more letting someone else define you to a "T" You know that you are strong You've known it all along So seize the day, let down your hair You’ll find a way to set yourself free!
So look to the horizon Open up your wings! Fly away to find your destiny... And set yourself free!
Speechless - Aladdin 2019 Remake
🏳️‍🌈 ALL OF US ALL OF US
Here comes a wave meant to wash me away A tide that is taking me under
Cause I'll breathe when they try to suffocate me! Don't you underestimate me! Cause I know that I won't go speechless!
Written in stone, every rule, every word Centuries old and unbending "Stay in your place, better seen and not heard," Well, now that story is ending
Try to lock me in this cage! I won't just lay me down and die! I will take these broken wings And watch me burn across the sky!
I’m Still Here (Jim’s Theme) - Treasure Planet
🏳️‍🌈❤️🤍
I am a question to the world Not an answer to be heard Or a moment that's held in your arms
You don't know me And I'll never be what you want me to be
And what do you think you'd understand I'm a boy - No, I'm a man You can't take me and throw me away And how can you learn what's never shown Yeah, you stand here on your own They don't know me, cause I’m not here
And I want to tell you who I am Can you help me be a man They can't break me As long as I know who I am
They can't tell me who to be 'Cause I'm not what they see Yeah, the world is still sleepin' While I keep on dreaming for me And their words are just whispers and lies That I'll never believe!
Crossing the Line - cover of Tangled: the Series
🏳️‍🌈 🧡 tfw when u are DONE with that fuckin closet
This has to stop now This thing where you think that you've been my friend And don't even hear how you condescend The way you've always done
How I've tried to jump that great divide! But I've never got the chances you were given You don't know how much I've been denied Well, I'm not being patient anymore
I'm crossing the line! And I'm done holding back So look out, clear the track, it's my turn! I'm taking what's mine Every drop, every smidge If I'm burning a bridge, let it burn! But I'm crossing the line...
Let it Go - Frozen
🏳️‍🌈 listen. i do not have to explain this one. you all know exactly why it’s here. we were all tiny gays in 2013 losing our shit in the theater for no discernable reason why. we know
Couldn't keep it in, Heaven knows I tried
Don't let them in, don't let them see Be the good girl you always have to be Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know Well, now they know!
Let it go! Let it go! Turn away and slam the door! I don't care what they're going to say!
It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small And the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all!
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!
I'm never going back, the past is in the past!
Let it go! Let it go! And I'll rise like the break of dawn Let it go! Let it go! That perfect girl is gone!
This is Me - Camp Rock
🏳️‍🌈 🧡 💕 🤍
I've always been the kind of girl that hid my face So afraid to tell the world what I've got to say But I have this dream right inside of me I'm gonna let it show it's time To let you know It's to let you know
Do you know what it's like to feel so in the dark? To dream about a life where you're the shining star
This is real, this is me I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, now Gonna let the light shine on me Now I've found who I am there's no way to hold it in No more hiding who I wanna be...
Breaking Free - High School Musical
🏳️‍🌈 🖤
You know the world can see us In a way that's different than who we are Creating space between us 'Till we're separate hearts But your faith it gives me strength Strength to believe
Soarin, flyin There’s not a star in heaven that we can’t reach If we’re trying, yeah we’re breaking free  We’re running, climbin  To get to the place, to be all that we can be  Now’s the time, so we’re breaking free
True To Your Heart - Mulan
🏳️‍🌈 🌈
Baby, I knew at once that you were meant for me Deep in my soul, I know that I'm your destiny Though you're unsure Why fight the tide Don't think so much Let your heart decide
True to your heart You must be true to your heart That's when the heavens'll part And, baby, shower you with my love Open your eyes Your heart can tell you no lies And when you're true to your heart I know it's gonna lead you straight to me
Someone ya know is on your side can set you free I can do that for you if you believe in me Why second guess what feels so right Just trust your heart And you'll see the light
Never Knew I Needed - The Princess and the Frog
🏳️‍🌈 🌈 💕
For the way you changed my plans For being the perfect distraction For the way you took the idea that I have Of everything that I wanted to have And made me see there was something missing...
My accidental happily ever after The way you smile and how you comfort me with your laughter I must admit you were not a part of my book But now if you open it up and take a look You're the beginning and the end of every chapter
You're the best thing I never knew I needed So when you were here I had no idea You'd be the best thing I never knew I needed So now it's so clear I need you here always
Colors of the Wind - Pocahontas
🏳️‍🌈 - colors.... rainbows.... yea
How can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know...
You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew
How high will the sycamore grow If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains We need to paint with all the colors of the wind...
I See the Light - Tangled
🏳️‍🌈 🌈 - you would not BELIEVE how many of y’all requested this one
Now I'm here, blinking in the starlight Now I'm here, suddenly I see Standing here, it's all so clear I'm where I'm meant to be
Now she's here shining in the starlight Now she's here, suddenly I know If she's here it's crystal clear I'm where I'm meant to go
And at last I see the light And it's like the fog has lifted And at last I see the light And it's like the sky is new And it's warm and real and bright And the world has somehow shifted
All at once, everything looks different Now that I see you
Strangers Like Me - Tarzan

Why Should I Worry? - Oliver & Company
🏳️‍🌈- we’re queer, we’re here, get used to it
Why should I worry? Why should I care? I may not have a dime But I got street savoir-faire Why should I worry? Why should I care? It's just be-bopulation And I got street savoir-faire
Why should I worry? Why should I care? And even when I crossed that line I got street savoir-faire
Welcome - Brother Bear

Love Will Find a Way - The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride
🏳️‍🌈 🌈
In a perfect world One we've never known We would never need to face the world alone They can have the world We'll create our own I may not be brave or strong or smart But somewhere in my secret heart

Like dark turning into day Somehow we'll come through Now that I've found you Love will find a way I know love will find a way

Even if we're worlds apart You're still in my heart It will always be you and me, yeah
If I Never Knew You - Pocahontas
🏳️‍🌈🌈
And if I never held you I would never have a clue How at last I'd find in you The missing part of me...
In this world so full of fear Full of rage and lies I can see the truth so clear In your eyes So dry your eyes
If I never knew you I'd be safe but half as real Never knowing I could feel A love so strong and true
I thought our love would be so beautiful  Somehow we'd make the whole world bright I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong All they'd leave us were these whispers in the night But still my heart is saying we were right
I’d Give Anything - Tangled: the Series
🧡 rapunzel’s sad breakup song

Someday - Hunchback of Notre Dame
🏳️‍🌈
I used to believe In the days I was naïve That I'd live to see A day of justice dawn And though I will die Long before that morning comes I'll die while believing still It will come when I am gone
Someday, when we are wiser When the world's older, when we have learned I pray someday we may yet live To live and let live
Someday, these dreams will all be real Till then we'll wish upon the moon Change will come, one day Someday soon...
No One Is Alone - Into the Woods
🏳️‍🌈
Mother cannot guide you, now your on your own. Only me beside you, still you're not alone. No one is alone. Truly, no one is alone…
People make mistakes Holding to their own  Thinking they’re alone
Someone is on your side, someone else is not  While we’re seeing our side, maybe we forgot  They are not alone, no one is alone...
I Am Moana (Song of the Ancestors) - Moana
🏳️‍🌈 🤍 - it’s about the self-acceptance binch
Sometimes, the world seems against you The journey may leave a scar But scars can heal and reveal just Where you are
The people you love will change you The things you have learned will guide you And nothing on Earth can silence The quiet voice still inside you
I've delivered us to where we are I have journeyed farther I am everything I've learned and more Still it calls me
And the call isn't out there at all, it's inside me! It's like the tide, always falling and rising I will carry you here in my heart, you remind me That come what may I know the way
Show Yourself - Frozen 2

I have always been a fortress Cold secrets deep inside You have secrets too But you don't have to hide
I've never felt so certain All my life, I've been torn But I'm here for a reason Could it be the reason I was born? I have always been so different Normal rules did not apply Is this the day? Are you the way I finally find out why?
Oh, show yourself Let me see who you are... Come to me now Open your door Don't make me wait One moment more!
(Come, my darling, homeward bound) I am found!

Wings (Bitney) - Cheetah
Summary: In a world where the first tattoo you get will also appear on your soulmate’s skin, it’s difficult to fit in when romance is the last thing you want. Courtney never got her tattoo with the intention of finding her soulmate, and yet, they are still led to one another by those ink-dark feathers.
The world was not made for them, but perhaps it never needed to be.
A/N: As much as I love sweet, fluffy romantic stories, there’s always been a part of me that yearned for there to be more aro rep in fic. Of course, the best way to get what you want is to write it, so here it is: my first fic centred around aromanticism, framed through the lens of a soulmate au.
The soulmate au felt a natural choice because of how typically romance-centric they are; I wanted to flip the script and create a universe where aromantic soulmates were possible. I chose not to remove the inundation of romance in society, because that is something a lot of aros have to deal with and I wanted to represent that.
Also, this fic is set in the same universe as One Direction (To Your Heart), but it’s not necessary to have read that to understand it. All you need to know is that Bianca is the head of her own fashion label, and Courtney is one of her models.
Enjoy!

The wings. Courtney has the wings.
“Bianca? Are you okay?”
They’re right there, inked across her back, feathers arranged in perfect rows. The sight of them makes Bianca’s stomach turn, and she doesn’t reply for a long moment.
“I’m fine,” she says eventually, her tone clipped, even harsher than it usually is. “Just remembered something.”
She tears her eyes away from the tattoo, feeling like she’s going to be sick.
Courtney has the wings.
The same wings that appeared on Bianca’s skin two years ago.
“Courtney, I’m going to need to see you in my office before you go home this afternoon. It’s important.”
“Okay, but–”
“Be there.” Bianca doesn’t give her the chance to ask any questions before she turns on her heel, leaving Courtney standing with her dress half-zipped, green eyes glimmering with confusion.
~
The dress is beautiful. It fits Courtney like a glove, shimmering with pale sequins that catch the light every time she moves. But whenever she looks in the mirror, she can’t stop herself from turning around, peering at the delicate feathers fanning out across her shoulder blades, exposed by the low cut of the dress.
The ink burns her back, digging deep claws into her skin. Her tattoo is beautiful, and she wouldn’t change it for the world, but… still, sometimes she regrets it. She regrets visualising the possibility that there could be somebody out there who is supposed to be hers. The wings make it - make them - real, tangible, and the idea of them hurts Courtney’s soul, hollows it out until she isn’t sure who she is anymore.
Is she wrong for not wanting them? The world tells her she is, fires it at her from all angles, and yet nothing she does can fill that emptiness in her chest.
She has seen how her friends’ faces go dreamy whenever they talk about their soulmates, and every time, Courtney has to force a smile, her happiness for them dulled by the discomfort pooling in her stomach. Looking at her ink-dark wings, she wonders about the person who shares them. Will they paint that dream-touched look on her face, too? Courtney can’t quite fathom it.
And when she asks what it’s like, everyone always says her soulmate will complete her, tells her that they will fit beside her like a puzzle piece; that she will find everything she never knew she wanted wrapped up in their perfect smile.
Courtney simply can’t see her hopes and dreams existing as a person. She doesn’t like the idea of being better thanks to somebody else - she’s Courtney Act, and as far she’s concerned, she’s just fine the way she is. Needing someone else to reassure her of that, to fill in the missing pieces of her soul, feels stupid. Childish, almost. Like being a teenager and watching all her friends fall in love, wondering why she was never enough to be their first choice.
She turns away from the mirror, wrapped in a familiar discomfort that has long since started to feel like home.
~
Bianca startles at the sound of knocking.
“Come in,” she says gruffly, glancing at the clock, only just noticing what time it is.
Shit.
“You said you wanted to see me?”
Bianca’s gaze snaps up, meeting gentle green eyes and a soft smile. Her heart twists at the sight.
“I did,” she replies stiffly, waiting as Courtney helps herself to one of the empty seats opposite her.
So this is her soulmate. Courtney is generically pretty, with a petite frame and luscious hair like the models in magazines and shampoo advertisements. Still, she radiates a genuine warmth and friendliness; she doesn’t seem to be intimidated by Bianca in the slightest, which Bianca supposes is something she can appreciate.
“Okay, look, this is going to sound really stupid. But just hear me out, alright?” Bianca takes a deep breath, quickly revising what she’s planned to say. She’s been mulling over it all afternoon, ever since she left the dressing rooms, but she still feels completely unprepared.
“It’s fine,” Courtney assures her. “Say whatever you need to. I’m listening.”
Bianca steels herself, vacating any shred of expression from her face until all that’s left is a cool, collected emptiness.
She might as well get this over and done with.
“You’re my soulmate,” she says bluntly. “I saw your wings when you were doing the fitting this morning.”
She pauses to gauge Courtney’s reaction and it’s… strange, to say the least. Bianca watches as her eyes go wide and the colour drains from her face. The clock ticks on the wall - one second, two seconds, three - but Courtney remains silent, motionless.
“I’m just going to say this upfront,” Bianca continues, when it becomes clear Courtney has nothing to add. “I have no interest in you, or whatever magical bond is supposed to make us fall in love for the rest of our lives. Destiny means shit to me, and if that matters to you, you can fuck off and go cry somewhere else. Tissues are there if you want to take one on your way out.”
She doesn’t look at Courtney again. She doesn’t think she’s ready to see the hurt she’s plastered all over that delicate face. The words had come out harsher than she’d intended - more defensive, as though Bianca is a cornered animal - but there’s no turning back now.
Courtney surprises her by breathing out a sigh of relief.
“Oh, thank goodness,” she says, sounding like an immense weight has just been lifted from her shoulders.
“Are you fucking deaf?” Bianca snaps. “This should not be a good thing for you.”
“But it is!” Courtney replies delightedly. “Something about this whole ‘soulmates’ thing has always thrown me off, and I guess… it’s nice to find someone that thinks like that, too.”
Bianca takes a moment to eye her up and down. She’s lying - she must be lying. Bianca has never met another person who hasn’t been obsessed with the idea of finding their other half.
“I’ve just never found romance that interesting,” Courtney elaborates. “It doesn’t appeal to me. It never has. I like to think I’m perfectly fine without some fated love to complete me.” She says the words with a casual air about her, but Bianca can still hear the bitterness grating between her teeth.
It feels painfully familiar, and Bianca has to take a stunned moment to replay Courtney’s words in her head. She has never heard her own thoughts - and such deeply personal ones, at that - come out of another person’s mouth, and she certainly never imagined her own soulmate would be the one echoing them back to her.
“But then, if we’re soulmates… what does this mean for us?” she asks quietly, shock and caution laced in every word.
Courtney smiles, taking Bianca’s hand in both of hers.
“You know what? I think that’s up to us.”
~
“So we’re soulmates.”
“I thought we’d established that already.”
Courtney coughs awkwardly, staring into her steaming mug of tea. Bianca’s abrasive personality still isn’t something she’s used to, but she finds she doesn’t mind it.
She glances up again, meeting Bianca’s eyes. They’re a warm brown, speckled with gold, and they remind Courtney of sunny Christmases in Australia: of long, shiny days, of sitting out in the backyard as the sun sets and her family downs cartons of beer together. She can’t help but smile, and Bianca’s gaze darts away again, but not before Courtney’s catches the odd mix of confusion and intrigue in the depths of her eyes.
She knows there’s a softer side to Bianca under that tough surface. She’s seen it already, in Bianca’s quiet hesitance on the drive back to her apartment, and in the gentleness with which she gave Courtney her tea.
“You know,” Courtney says, shattering the tense silence that has settled around them, “I’d kinda been hoping that this - the wings - that they wouldn’t really be a soul tattoo.”
“Why’d you take the risk, then?” Bianca asks. “If you’d kept your skin clear, you’d never have to worry.”
It’s apparent that that’s the path Bianca chose, and the path she’d hoped her soulmate would choose, too.
“Unfortunately, I find tattoos pretty and wanted to get one regardless,” Courtney tells her. “I didn’t get it with the intention of finding you… I just liked it.”
“Well.” Bianca clears her throat. “That was a stupid idea.”
Courtney laughs. “What, don’t you like me?”
Her chest hums in pride when Bianca smiles, dimples appearing in her cheeks.
“You caused me two years of grief, so I can’t say I do,” Bianca deadpans, but she’s still smiling. Despite that, Courtney knows exactly what she means, hears the quiet honesty behind her words.
Romance has been an ever-present force in her life: something that Courtney has tried and failed at running from, time and time again. It was in her childhood, in the sugary cartoons filled with matching tattoos and happy endings. It was in her adolescence, when her friends left her behind for their first taste of love even before they were tattooed. It follows her now, as the people around her find their soulmates and dive into relationships Courtney has never been able to see for herself.
So, of course she knows what Bianca means. The wings always represented the possibility of there being someone else, someone out there who was supposed to be hers. They represented the inevitable heartbreak that Bianca had clearly been expecting when she called Courtney into her office earlier that afternoon.
Except that didn’t happen, and now they’re here, sitting across from each other at Bianca’s dining table.
“Do you think it’s destiny?” Courtney blurts out.
“What?”
“Destiny. I - I always thought this whole soulmates thing would force me into a relationship I don’t want and a love I can’t feel. But it hasn’t, because… you’re like me.” Courtney swallows thickly. “I’ve never met anyone else like me.”
“Neither have I,” Bianca replies quietly.
There’s a long silence. Courtney counts her heartbeats.
“Maybe it is,” Bianca finally says, meeting Courtney’s eyes again. “Destiny, I mean. Have you ever heard that ‘your soulmate is tailored to you’ bullshit?”
Courtney nods.
“Maybe there’s something to it,” Bianca admits, a slight frown tugging at her lips. Courtney knows how she feels - it’s weird, rethinking everything she thought she believed. But it’s a good kind of weird, especially now that she has Bianca. Someone who understands.
“I’m really happy I found you, Bianca,” Courtney murmurs.
Bianca smiles, and it shines in her eyes like fairy lights.
“You know what? Me too. You’re not so bad after all, Miss Act.”
Courtney laughs. “I’ll take it.”
And in this moment, sitting across from Bianca - her soulmate, she thinks, not without a little newfound wonder - she feels like everything might just turn out alright.

ID under the cut would’ve prefered to put it here, but the post is already super long, sorry
[ID: thirteen google presentation slides, all written in the font comic sans, black text on a white background.
1. Title: “Gay Space Pirates", subtitle: “thats it thats the story”
2. Title: “What.” Text:
Okay so, everyone is queer
Literally, there’s not a single cishet character in this story
I’m not sorry <3
Most of the cast are non-humans, but the ones that aren’t are super diverse
Transfem muslim gal, intersex nerd with vitiligo, nonbinary overweight dumbass, I’ve got them all
There are also some disabled and mute characters
Oh, also they’re all neurodivergent because I said so
3. Title: “Setting!”, Text:
So, humans discovered aliens are real
and joined their Intergalactic Union
(which is definitely not evil)
That happened about 300 years ago and humans are now vibing all over the galaxy
Sounds great, right?
Well, for most humans, sure, but the ones who had to stay behind on Earth because they couldn’t afford space travel don’t like it as much
The situation on Earth is kind of shitty, and some people want to leave
4. Title: “pLoT??”, Text:
Neb is one of those people
They got an amazing plan to “borrow” a spaceship and never look back
Problem: Neb didn’t account for a robot to suddenly accompany them
The plan kind of fails real bad, but in the end the two escape from Earth
And immediately get picked up by space pirates
Fortunately, they don’t get killed
Because those pirates could really use an extra pair of hands or two, for their biggest mission yet
Which is retrieving a weapon apparently powerful enough to destroy the universe before someone else does
Nobody knows what it actually looks like though
5. Title: “Neb”, Text:
Nonbinary, aro and ace (they/them)
overweight
has idiopathic hypersomnia (basically means they sleep a lot)
also chronic migraines
pretty impulsive and says what they think
has a hard time trusting others
dreamt of going to space for as long as they can remember
On the right side of this slide is a picrew image, showing a person with brown skin, dark brown eyes and black, curly hair. They’re wearing a red bandana as well as a torn yeans jacket and have multiple scars on their skin. The background is the nonbinary flag.
6. Title: “Ahdia”, Text:
Transfem, bigender and pan (she/they)
mute
mechanic of the ship and the only one with a sense for fashion
happy go lucky and just overall fun to be around
pretty laid back, but would absolutely hunt you down if you hurt one of her friends
proud holder of the single brain cell this crew has
On the right side is an image as well, it shows a woman with fairer, but still brownish skin and brown eyes wearing a black hijab and a long-sleeved light blue shirt with clouds on it. The background is the trans flag.
7. Title: “Cap”, Text:
intersex, queer (they/them)
First time they show up, they’re holding a soda and pizza
likes organization in theory
wants to appear like a badass, but is too chaotic for that
needs to wear glasses, but doesn’t bother
Captain of the crew that picks Neb up
certified mess
Again, an image of the right shows a person, this time with dark brown skin and vitiligo, dark brown eyes and long, black dread-locks. They have some silver piercings in their ears and wear a dark purple hoodie. The background is the rainbow flag with the brown stripes on top.
The next three slides feature two columns each, each with an own title.
Title: “Com”, Text:
AI of the ship
shy and nervous mess
wants to visit all kinds of planets
loves taking care of plants
panromantic and ace
uses she/her, but doesn’t really care about gender
spends most of her time watching trashy romance movies
Title: “Coal”, Text:
The robot Neb befriended
Realized they were self-aware not even a day ago and already got anxiety
easily overwhelmed by everything
Has no idea what to do with themself
they/them
someone tells them knitting is a thing and they never do anything else ever again
Title: “Laser”, Text:
genderfluid, uses he/him or she/her
weapon specialist and tired of it
suffers from chronic neurogenic pain
speaks in a very monotone voice
writes poetry, but nobody is allowed to read it
canonically wears crocs
Title: “Lifo”, Text:
gender? no thanks (uses fel/fels pronouns)
tiny, but deadly
lost an arm and half a leg and replaced them with robotic parts (same for fels spine)
usually very loud, but can be completely silent if fel wants
cook of the ship
loves collecting trinkets
Title: “Nova”, Text:
He’s absolutely enormous, huge, colossal and every other synonym for really big you can think of
looks like he can kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll
licensed medic and mom friend of the crew
I lied when I said Ahida is the only one with a brain cell, Nova knows what he’s doing too
loves painting
Title: “Mer”, Text:
Don’t tell anyone I said this, but Mer is my favorite
if the name wasn’t clear enough, his species is aquatic
he’s beauty, he’s grace, he’ll punch you in the face
killed a man and will do so again
don’t cross him, he will get his revenge and you will regret your actions
seems like he has everything under control, but really doesn’t
11. Title: “some of my favorite lines”, Text (in no particular order):
“What’s up with your display?” Their voice sounded more steady now, which was good.
“I do not understand.” Their voice on the other hand just sounded confused.
“Oh, right. You probably can’t see it. You’re currently displaying an error message. Which just reads ‘error’. Not very helpful.”
“Fuck. I didn’t deactivate it.”
“We could just go in and race to the top.”
“What? No. Why would we do that? We can’t afford to get caught, we need to make a plan, Coal.”
“You said you wanted an adventure. Plus, I do not think we could create a plan, seeing as we know next to nothing about its defence and security.”
They said that because of them? They were just rambling earlier, not really thinking about it, just talking to fill the silence.
“Okay. But if anything goes wrong, it’ll be your fault.”
“Uh, I don’t think so? Better not touch it, though.” As Lifo said that, Cap could see fel fighting against the desire to do just that. At least Com would be happy.
Chapter 13 - they did surgery on a grape Neb
“Oh. I’m the ship. Nice to meet you?”
Whatever the hell was going on, they didn’t sign up for this.
“I am fine.” Perfectly fine. Mhm.
Coal nodded, then just stood around?
"You're outnumbered now! Coal agreed to watch Love On A Foreign Planet with me. So, uh, get moving, Fishsticks."
They settled on two things they were pretty sure were edible: a soda labeled “SpacePop: the best soda in the universe” with a “multiple sunsets on Madoras” flavor and some leftover pizza. (They were pretty sure Madoras didn’t exist, they never heard of that planet before. Maybe they shouldn’t drink that soda after all.)
“I’m Laser, my gender is a burning trash can and my pronouns depend entirely on the mercy of the universe.”
12. Title: “Homegrown memes”, this slide is filled with six different memes.
A windows error message, but the title and text is just screaming. The two options are “AAA” or “AAA”. It’s labeled “Coal”.
A photo of two people in wedding clothes. They’re labeled “Laser and Lifo”, in the background is a person falling from the sky, labeled “Com”.
Spiderman (labeled “Mer”) is holding a screen labeled “dealing with a breakup like a normal person”, in the next frame that screen is being thrown away as spiderman looks at a pc being held by someone else labeled as “commiting murder”.
A person is being kicked into a lake by someone else. They’re labeled “Coal trying to figure out what to do now that they’re self-aware”. The person kicking them is labeled “the plot”.
The “is this a pigeon” meme, but the guy is labeled as “Cap”, the butterfly as “wearing a hoodie and truly horrendous shorts” and the caption now says “is this formal dress attire?”.
The last meme is a chart, with five rows and two columns.
Row 1: Regularly says fuck: Coal, Lifo
Row 2: has sworn of saying fuck, but said it at some point: Cap, Neb
Row 3: has not said fuck before, but can if so desired: Laser, Ahdia, Mer
Row 4: has not said fuck before and refuses to say it: Com, Nova
Row 5: legally cannot say fuck: also Coal
13. This slide is an image of Earth as seen from space. Above it white text reads “the End”. /end ID]

Tumblr media
“Esme, no,” Carlisle snapped.
“Please Carlisle,” Esme begged, “We have to.”
Bella furrowed her brow and Edward let out a sigh.
For the last couple of hours, it had been like this - arguing.
Bella had already sent Renesmee out with Rosalie so she wouldn’t have to hear it, but now even she was getting annoyed.
“What’s wrong with them?”  She asked, no longer able to hold in the question.
Edward shook his head.
Bella knew what that meant.
Not now.
“We have no choice, Carlisle.  We need her!”
“No, we cannot bring that...woman into this.  It would mean suicide for us all.”
“It will be suicide for us anyway if he Volturi get her and we do not have sufficient protection.”
“She could make the Volturi freeze with just a smile.  We need that power if we are to protect Renesmee.”
“Okay, you two have been arguing back and forth for the past two hours.  Esme, if you have an idea to protect Renesmee from Aro then please - tell me,” Bella said frankly.
Esme sighed, “There is someone out there...a vampire who can help protect us from Aro.”
“A vampire?  Well great, where is he?”
“She does not want to be found,” Carlisle said grimly, “Those who approach her and demand favors tend to lose their heads.”
“Why?  Who is she?”
“Bella,” Edward chastised.
Carlisle sighed, “No Edward, it’s fine.  She needs to know.”
The Hippocratic bloodsucker sighed and began his story.
“Long, long ago - in ancient Egypt, there lived a Pharaoh...”
_
You huffed angrily, storming back and forth like an angry asp as your frightened Grand Vizier shakes like a palm tree with a papyrus scroll in his hand.
“THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!”  You roared, “My pathetic baby brother raises men against me and NONE OF YOU CAN WORD ON HIS NEXT MOVE?!  Incompetence.”
“Great Pharaoh, forgive me.  I merely report on what General Nanktenten tells me.”
You sigh and sit back in your throne, clutching your nose in frustration, “I just do not understand.  My rule is final, prosperous and blessed by the gods.  Why must I cut my own brother’s throat my detractors to see the truth?”
The Vizier sighed, “Power seduces, Pharaoh.  Ptolmun shall be brought to heel in no time.”
You huffed as your servants fanned you with large palmettes in order to calm you down.
“I just want this war to be over,” you said, shaking your head with grim contemplation, “Perhaps I should plan a culling-“
“My Pharaoh, that would be too extreme,” the Vizier said with wide eyes.
“And my brother conspiring to take my throne is not?!”
“O-of course, Great Pharaoh…I just…a culling would only serve to turn more against your rule – the true rule of Egypt.  A-and that would anger the gods.”
You sighed again and a serpentine smile crosses your ochre-stained lips.
You held out your hand expectantly and the Vizier knelt down and kissed it with reverence.
“Have I ever told you that you are my favorite person, Vizier?”  You asked.
“No, my Pharaoh.”
“Well you are now.  Take the rest of day for yourself.  May the gods grant you rest.”
“And to you, my Pharaoh.”
He was gone after that.
_
“Alright,” you spoke, leaning over an intricate map of Egypt and beyond as your generals listened, “Here is the Nile River and east bank.  These two spots MUST be guarded if we are to safeguard my people’s water supply.  Of course, my foolish brother shall try to take it.”
“And if we encounter his forces, Pharaoh?”  One of your generals asked.
You smiled up at him, “Then spill his blood.”
The general sobered up at your dark smile and nodded, “Yes, Pharaoh.”
The doors then opened and the Vizier walked in.
“What is it?”
“Pharaoh, there is a ship here.”
“From where?”  You asked, thinking it was your brother.
“…It’s from Greece.”
_
You swiftly walked outside, your generals and guards flanking you.
An angry scowl marred your face as you approached the river.
How dare these Greeks incite war on my land, towards MY people?!
I will smite them, burn their corpses-
You stopped when you saw the man having his things unloaded.
He was beautiful, more beautiful than any man you had ever seen.
Tumblr media
Your heart fluttered slightly when he regarded you, and with a swallow, you approached him your usual cold, haughty air.
“What are you doing in my kingdom?”
He looked at you and bowed.
“I hail from Rome, milady,” the handsome man greeted, “May Jupiter honor the one true pharaoh.”
_
“So you say you are an emissary?”  You asked, cracking open a canister of wine the mysterious man had brought you.
“Yes, pharaoh.”
You eyed the two men beside him.
“And your friends?  I assume they are emissaries as well?”
“Yes, pharaoh.”
You eyed the man and pursed your lips, “You may address me as (Y/N), emissary.  Since Rome is interested in helping, it is fair for us to maintain a proper friendship.”
The man smiled, “In that case, call me Aro.”
You smiled and leaned in seductively, “You are a very handsome man, Aro.”
Aro leaned in, “And you are very good politician, (Y/N).”
You leaned back as the emissary laughed.
“I’ve had many women in my bed before,” he says, “You’ll have to step up your game if you want to win the heart of Roman senators.”
You huff and smile as the two of you click chalices, “You are an interesting man, Aro.”
_
“Wait,” Bella said, “You’re scared of a pharaoh?”
“She’s not just any pharaoh, Bella,” Carlisle said, “She is one of the most powerful vampires of all.”
“Okay so what happened between her and Aro?”
“The same thing that happens to all powerful women who let their guard down,” Esme supplied, She fell for him - hard.”
_
You laughed as Aro told you more of his adventures while the two of you sat down in your main foyer.
It had been two summers since he came.
Aro looked up at the golden columns and glistening hieroglyphics on the ceiling.
“Your palace is glorious,” he commented.
“Thank you.  My father built it when I was born.  He said I was as radiant as the sun - only worthy of a palace Ra would live in.”
“Well,” Aro said, getting up and crawling on top of you, “He was more than correct.”
You moaned as he kissed your neck and got lower and lower down your body.
As good as it felt, you interrupted him by sitting up.
“I have to show you something.”
“Now?  We were just getting in the mood.”
“I have a surprise for you.”
You got up and pulled him by the hand.
Aro silently followed you until you got to a large doorway.  Guards bowed as the two of you passed, and the smell of sweltering fruit and herby water hit your senses.
Nobles and their women splashed in the giant pool and Aro’s face lit up.
Tumblr media
“A bath?”  He asked.
“Mhmm,” you answered, looking back at your creation, “A little custom I heard of from the Romans, albeit with a little...Egyptian flair.  I figured since it has been so dreary these past few days and that we could use a quick lift in our spirits.”
You kissed him and he whispered in your ear, “T’would be much easier if we had the place to ourselves.”
You smiled, “Consider it done.”
You turned and clapped your hands, “Everyone OUT!”
On command, they scrambled out an the room was soon empty.
“You certainly know how to give orders,” Aro said with a chuckle.
“Well I am the one true pharaoh.”
“Ah yes.  Always being pharaoh.  It must be hard.”
“Hard?”
“Yes.  You are a woman ruling over a nation uncertain of its future.  Your own brother rebels against you and those who are supposed to trust you...”
He grabs your hand and looks deep into your soul.
“You are a woman ahead of your time.”
A moment passed and you stared into his red eyes.
“You always know just what to say.”
Aro smiled and kissed you again and you broke away from him in order to undo your shendyt.
His eyes brushed over your naked body, “You are quite the vision.”
You held your head up proudly, “From years of training to protect my country.”
“Well perhaps you won’t mind another physical test,” Aro said seductively.
He removed his linen tunic.
“Hmmm...looks challenging.  Perhaps I just need a little...push.”
Aro smiles playfully at your narrowed eyes and before you know it, you both were splashing into the massive pool of water.
You squealed in surprise and the guards from outside rushed in.
“Out,” you ordered.
They wearily returned to their posts.
Aro turned your face back to him and pulls you into a kiss.
Then, you sunk down onto him and began to ride...
_
“Okay so she and Aro had a romantic relationship,” Bella said, “Why isn’t she with the Volturi?”
“...Because he double-crossed her,” Esme answered.
_
You woke up from your bed to the sound of screaming.  You swiftly got up from bed and ran down the halls, your eyes furrowing when you noticed the guards weren’t there.
Running into the throne room, you saw it.
Bodies, so many bodies.
The floor was wet with crimson blood and the same human substance had been splashed all over the walls.
It was a bloodbath.
Caius happily sucked the last of a young woman’s blood from her neck.  Her eyes were just as dead as she was.
At least she didn’t feel any more pain....
Caius finally let her fall to the ground.
He looked up at you and his eyes were pitch black.
You backed up nervously.
But then, Aro came into view.  His eyes were black and his mouth messy with the blood of the people he’d killed.
“My dear,” he said, holding his arms out, “You finally join us.”
“W-...What did you do?”
“My friends and I...merely had a small snack.”
You ran to one of the dead women on the floor, uselessly trying to revive her.
She had been one of Nekhmun’s daughters - only fourteen years old.
But it was too late...
“What did you do?!”
“I told you dear,” he said, “We had a snack.”
You tried to shake her awake, her blood only brightly staining your dark skin.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
“A snack,” Aro answered sourly, “For the hundredth time.  And soon, you’ll be able to taste.”
_
“So he snatched her,” Esme explained, “And Caius and Marcus got rid of the bodies.  No one ever knew that vampires were involved in the Satmun Ra Purge.  Her brother took the credit-”
“And the throne,” Bella finished.
Esme nodded.
“So...what happened to (Y/N)?”
“Aro turned her,” Carlisle sighed, “Kept her in the tower.”
“And I’m guessing she didn’t go quietly?”
Carlisle shook his head, “She was the houseguest from hell.”
_
You threw your couch.
“I WANT BLOOD!”
“My queen, I cannot get you blood until-”
“I WANT BLOOD, CARLISLE!”
Carlisle sighed as you paced back and forth, stewing angrily.
“I cannot stay in this place much longer,” you growled, “This tower is a prison for simpletons and fools!”
“Then why are you in it?”  Carlisle asked.
You threw him a seering glare and the vampire held his hands up in mock surrender.
“I can’t stay in this place much longer.  I need to get out of here.”
“Well Aro instructed me to keep you in here so that is going to be a challenge for you.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, “You don’t look so tough.”
“Neither did Aro.  But we see how that turned out.”
You threw Carlisle a dirty look and plopped down onto the couch.
“This is torture,” you complained, “I cannot stay cooped in this damn tower forever.”
Carlisle sighed and sat beside you, “Well, what can you do?  It is not as if you can escape...”
He clutched your hand comfortingly, “Just try to get comfortable.  You may begin to like Aro after all...”
You huffed as he got up and left.
Quietly, you mulled over his words.
No, you decided, I’ll not be a prisoner any longer.
_
You waited until one of the guards brought you food in the form of a human.
She was young, much younger than you and clearly not a local.
“Please...,” she cried, “Please don’t kill me.”
You glared at the guard, “You couldn’t find a human that was quiet?!”
“She was the best of the most recent crop, my queen.  Take it or leave it.”
You sighed and wiped the whimpering girls tears away, “Shhh.  It is alright my dear.  Come, sit.”
The guard leaves and you allow the girl to sit.
You softly comb through her thick hair as she calms down.
“I know you must be so scared right now.  Tell me, what is your name?”
“A-Annette,” she stuttered as you wiped her cheeks.
“Annette,” you replied, “That’s pretty.  My name is (Y/N).  Tell me what happened Annette.”
“T-the men downstairs - three of them...they killed everyone, feasted on their blood.  My mistress, she...”
Annette broke down again and you pulled her into your cold arms.
“Shhh...there, there my dear.  It is alright now.”
You soothed her as she cried harder into your chest, and after what felt like almost an hour she began to calm down.
“I’m tired.”
“I know my dear.  Don’t worry.  The pain will be over soon.”
“I don’t want to die.  Please don’t kill me...”
“I’m not going to kill you my dear,” you assured her, connecting her brown eyes with your red ones, “I am going to grant you something.”
“What?”
You smiled and whispered two words into her ear.
“Eternal life.”
You bit into her neck - right into the vein, and let go once she screamed.
You screamed too and on cue, the guard came in.
“My queen!  What is wrong?”
“This girl - her blood is toxic!  Go get Aro!”
“But-”
“NOW!”
THe guard sighed and rushed off.
You smirked and picked up the convulsing Annette.
“Come my child,” you said, “Time for us to start a new life.”
Then, you were gone.
_
“So she...escaped,” Bella said.
“Yes,” Carlisle answered, “And I am sure she doesn’t want to be disturbed.”
“We have to try to contact her.  Aro is coming for us, for Renesmee-”
“Bella, nothing is worth bringing her back into the fold  Not even the coming of the Volturi.”
“Not even your grandchild?”  Edward chimed in.
The two vampire connected eyes and Carlisle sighed shortly after.
“This is going to get us all killed,” he said.
“But we shall die anyway if Aro comes and we have no defense,” Esme said.
A silence passed.
“Get your things,” Carlisle said, “We are going to Egypt.”
_
“I’d like to point out that this is probably the most exciting thing I’ve done since Amun turned me,” Benjamin commented as he held Tia’s hand.
“This is no sport,” Carlisle said grimly, “(Y/N) is not to be trifled with.”
“Surely she cannot be that bad,” the vampiric elemental replied.
“Oh she is.  You think Aro is frightening?  She is worse.”
“And you are seeking her out for your protection.  You are truly a master at logic, Carlisle,” Amun said sarcastically.
“It was our idea,” Bella said, jumping to Carlisle’s defense.
“And it will be our end,” Kebi said gravely.
The group walked ahead and Bella drifted behind.
“I do so enjoy Egyptian optimism,” Edward whispered sarcastically, “Don’t you?”
“Be nice,” Bella chastised, trying not to smile, “We need their help.”
Soon, the group arrived at an old abandoned statue.
It was old, clearly warn down by the sands of time.
Yet, it had a certain charm to it.
Carlisle pushed one of the statue’s pieces to the side, and it moved to reveal a large stairway.
“This way,” he said.
Bella silently thanked herself for the fact that she could now see in the dark.
The group of four silently made their way down the dark staircase, and at the end of the tunnel was a light.
The group walked toward it and the light grew and grew until it culminated into the shape of a sparkling throne room.
“Wow...,” Bella mumbled in awe, “It’s beautiful.”
“No kidding,” Benjamin agreed.
“Thank you.  Although I do not recall giving you permission to enter my domain.”
The gold all around them began to move and melt in front of them.  Then, it began to take shape into that of a woman.
The gold soon melted into brown skin and the eyes of the beautiful being opened to reveal deep red orbs.
“Pharaoh,” Carlisle greeted with a bow.
“Ah, Carlisle,” you replied, “It has been such a long time.  And yet?  You’ve not changed a bit.  I assume this is your lovely mate?”
“Esme,” Mrs. Cullen filled in, “An honor to meet you.”
You raised an eyebrow and the woman sheepishly bowed.
Pleased, your lips extended into a long catlike grin, “Delighted to make your acquaintance, Esme.”
You turned to the others, “And who are your friends?”
“Benjamin,” the youngest one answered, an impish smirk on his face.
“Ah, Benjamin.  Quite a handsome young vampire you are.  And your coven?”
“My family - Amun, Kebi, and Tia.  She is my mate.”
“Oh how sweet!”
Your eyes drifted over to the last two, “And you two?”
“I am Edward, Carlisle’s son,” Edward said with a bow, “This is my wife Bella.”
“Hi,” she said, giving an awkward bow soon after.
“I am impressed Carlisle,” you commented, “I did not know you had begotten a child.”
“I turned him, my queen.  We are not biologically related.”
“Ah so you turned him.  Immortality suits you, dear Edward.”
“Thank you, Pharaoh.”
You turned to Bella, “And you are the youngest of us all, my child?”
“Yes.  Just turned a week ago.”
“Oh how joyous!  Another brought into our community.  Welcome then.”
“Thank you.  However I have to say that we aren’t here on a pleasure trip-”
“I figured,” you interrupted, “In that case, come-”
You walked to the middle of the room, and the gold left around the room began to center and take shape in the form of a glistening throne.
You sat in it and smiled, “Let me hear your case.”
“Well...Edward and I had a child while I was still human, a daughter.  Unfortunately your um...husband-”
“Ex husband.”
“Right...he has forbidden that vampire children be created.”
“And so he shall kill you for your crime,” you figured out.
“If he can prove we committed a crime.  Our daughter was born.  She wasn’t bitten, and she still grows.  Which means she’s a little different from us.  She’s not an immortal child.”
You raise an eyebrow and contemplate, “My, that is something.”
“Yes and without your help...our child will die.”
“So let me get this straight.  You opened your legs for a vampire, gave birth to a half breed child, incurred the wrath of my ex husband and now you come to my home to ask for help?”
“Essentially,” Bella said sheepishly.
You sighed, “Normally this is the part where I would berate you for making such foolish decisions.  But I was in your shoes long ago...  Very well Cullens, I am in.”
“Really?!”
“Yes.  Now let us leave this wretched cave before I change my mind.  Annette!”
An ebony vampire came from the shadows, “Yes mother?”
“Get your things my dear.  We are going to see Aro.”
_
“The redcoats are coming, the redcoats are coming,” Garrett mumbled anxiously as the Volturi appeared.
Tumblr media
“Oh don’t be scared,” Benjamin said, “We have our secret weapon.”
“Which is?”
Benjamin’s only response was a smile.
Soon, the Volturi stilled and Carlisle came forward.
“Aro,” he said, “Let us discuss things as we used to - in a civilized manner.”
“Fair words Carlisle, but a little out of a place given the battalion you’ve assembles against us.”
“I can promise you,” Carlisle placated, “That was never my intent.  No laws have been broken here.”
“We see the child,” Caius seethed, “Do not treat us as fools.”
“Why not?  You are the fools after all.”
The Volturi looked around as your voice thundered throughout the field.
“What was that?”  Aro asked.
“More of Carlisle’s trick I’m sure,” Caius hissed.
“Oh my love.  You don’t remember me?  I am hurt.”
Gold then began to seep from the snow and glob together in front of Carlisle.  It quickly hardened into the shape of your body and your eyes opened.
His eyes widened, “(Y/N)...”
You smiled wickedly, “Hello my dear.  It’s been a long time.”
“It can’t be.”
“Oh but it is.”
“I thought you were dead,” he said.
“Clearly evil doesn’t die easily,” Caius mumbled.
“Oh you are a fine one to talk Caius.  What’s this I hear about your walking around, ruling with an iron fist, destroying covens?  Oh but why am I talking to you?  We both know you’re just Aro’s bitch.”
Rosalie’s eyes widened.
“Oh no she didn’t,” Emmett mumbled, covering his mouth.
“How dare you-”
“Oh hush Caius.  We both know you won’t do a damn thing while Aro is here.  He hold your leash after all.”
“I see you are still cold and arrogant, wife,” Aro said sharply.
“And I see you are still projecting, husband.”
“You are interrupting an important proceeding.”
“And you interrupted my LIFE all those years ago when your turned me and stole what was mine!”
“I stole nothing!”
“YOU STOLE MY EMPIRE!  I WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GREATEST QUEEN THIS WORLD HAS EVER SEEN HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR YOU!”
“OH PLEASE!”  Aro’s voice thundered, “YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER BEATEN  PTOLMUN AND YOU KNOW IT!  I SAVED YOU!”
“Saved me? S-...,” You bit your lip, “SAVED. ME?!  Ohhhhh your denial truly knows no bounds.”
“Enough of this incessant display wife, or I shall have Jane put you in your place.”
“This child you have beside you?! HA!  I have more gall in my pinkie than this child has in her whole breakable body.”
Jane narrowed her eyes and an immense pain flooded.
You shouted in pain and bent down into the snow.
The pain was excruciating.
“This is your precious weapon?”  Garrett hissed to Benjamin.
“Wait for it...”  The Egyptian vampire replied.
You breathed roughly and opened your eyes.
They were pure gold.
You stood up, “My, that was impressive child.  Like a tiny headache.”
Jane’s eyes widened, “You...you don’t feel it?”
“No child,” your voice deepened, “But you shall feel THIS.”
You raised both your hands to the sky and gold quickly rose from the snow and materialized up Jane’s ankles and legs.
“A-Aro!”  She shouted fearfully.
“Ah yes.  You feel that, don’t you child?  The numbing as you loose feeling...the cold as your body turns to solid gold.  You feel all of that...”
“Enough!”  Caius shouted, “Let her be.”
“I could...but only if Aro asks me to.”
Aro hesitated.
“Better hurry Aro if you want to save your precious weapon,” You taunt as the gold rises up Jane’s chin and into her mouth.
The young vampire began to heave and cough up gold and blood, and the vampire surrounding the Volturi gasped.
“That is not possible,” Caius gasped.
“Anything is possible for a queen,” you say, “Now Aro, ask me.  And don’t forget to say please.”
Aro sighed, “...(Y/N)-”
“It’s Pharaoh to you.”
“...Pharaoh, release Jane.”
“And what’s the magic word, my love?”
“PLEASE!  Release her...”
You smile and gold recedes from your eyes, “Very well.”
The gold falls off Jane’s body and falls into cold, hard pieces around her.
She heaves up more blood and gold and gasps.
“Wow!”  You cackled, “That was invigorating.  If anyone else would like to see more of my power, step forward.”
Nobody said anything.
“That’s what I thought,” you growled, “So let’s skip pleasantries and get back to the point.  This girl is no immortal child.  You can see for yourself or you can risk your lives and have me turn you all into golden statues.  Your choice Aro?  Caius?”
Aro sighed, “Bring the child forward.”
Bella brought Renesmee to him as Jacob and Emmett flanked her.
Aro met with her and took her hand.
“Half mortal, half immortal.  Conceived and carried by this...newborn.”
“Yes Aro, we get it.  Now do you want a war, or not?”  You huffed.
“Please say yes,” Vladimir mumbled.
“This child is unlike anything we have ever seen before.  For this first time, humans pose a threat to our kind.  Their modern technology has given birth to something that can destroy us.  I ask you - my brothers and sisters, can we live with such uncertainty?”
“You’re going to have to,” you spoke up, “Unless you’d like to lose your empire because of your pride.”
“And what would you propose, Pharaoh?  That I let this issue go?”
“I propose a fight - between the two of us.  Whoever wins determines the fate of this trial.  I win?  The girl and her family go free.  You win?  I shall let you tear us all to pieces and burn us.”
Carlisle’s eyes widened, “That is not what we discussed-”
“You would fight me to protect these people?  This...child?”
You smirked, “I would fight you for for nothing Aro.  This is also my vengeance.”
Aro looked you in the eye and knew you were serious.
“I assume this is a fight to the death?”
You nod, “Yes.”
“(Y/N)-” Carlisle hissed.
“It’s Pharaoh.  And this between me and him.  Now, let’s get down to business.”
You step forward.
Aro does the same.
“Wait!”
Alice and Jasper come out the woods behind you.
Aro gasps with glee, “My dear Alice!  You’ve arrived.”
“I have evidence the child won’t be a risk to our kind,” Alice said, “Let me show you.”
Two more figures then walked though from the woods.
They seemed to be indigenous, from South America most likely.
“I have been searching for witnesses,” Alice said, “Among the Mapuche tribe-”
“We have enough witnesses,” Caius hissed.
“Let him speak Caius.  Or I shall do to you what I could have done to the little witch bitch.”
Caius bit his tongue and glared.
You waved your hand, “Continue!”
“My name is Nahuel,” the male said, “I am half human, half vampire.”
“And all adorable,” you mumbled, making sure Aro can hear you.
Benjamin, Emmett and some of the other vampires behind you snickered.
Nahuel smiled softly and continued, “A vampire seduced my mother, and she gave birth to me.  I became full grown several years after my birth.”
“And your diet?”  Aro asked.
“Blood, human food,” Nahuel supplied.
“These children are much like us,” Marcus.
“Regardless the Cullens have consorted with werewolves - our natural enemies-”
“OH SHUT THE FUCK UP CAIUS!”  You snapped.
“Preach it queen!” Emmett shouted, throwing his fist up, for which Rosalie elbowed him in the side.
“Good people,” Aro announced, “There has been no crime committed here.  We will not fight today.”
“And Irina?”  Tanya asked.
“Well,” Caius said with a wicked grin as two guards hauled up Irina beside him, “Since she brought up a false criminal accusation, she deserves to die.”
“You didn’t tell me they had a captive,” you hissed at Carlisle.
“I didn’t think Caius would kill her.”
“Have you met him?  You fucking Europeans - always leaving out details.”
“All of this could have been avoided had your sister not wasted our time.  Such an infraction can’t be forgiven,” Aro said.
“Oh please!  I’m sure the girl - though she’s fucking stupid,” you huffed, “Merely wished to avoid committing another crime.  Better safe than sorry and quite fair given what you did to her mother.”
“Still no reason for her to live,” Caius said.
“Is me not killing you enough of a reason?  I will kill you Caius,” you huffed, “If you must punish her, take her hand.  She will learn her lesson.”
Caius - as usual looked over to Aro for approval.
He nodded.
Caius smiled, “Very well.”
He snatched off her hand and Irina let out an unholy scream.
Many of the vampire witnesses covered their ears at the sound.
“Punishment for your crime,” Caius said, wiggling Irina’s hand in front of her face before pushing her forward into the snow.
“Annette,” you called.
On cue, Annette appeared from the air and took Irina in her arms before flashing away and reappearing beside you.
“Annette,” Aro noticed, “You are alive.”
“I come when my queen calls,” Annette replied as you smiled down at her.
“Well Aro,” you spoke, “We have proven the child is not immortal.  You have punished Irina for her mistake.  All is finished.”
“Not us.  We are not finished.”
“Can’t finish something you never started,” Emmett mumbled.
“Aro, please,” you scoffed, “I am not your wife.  We have nothing to discuss.”
“You are my queen.  You can’t just-”
“I have always been a queen.  I never needed you to prove that.”
Aro was going to say something else but decided against it.
The Volturi then began to leave, and Aro took one last look at you before he left.
“Such a prize.”
Then, he was gone.
A soundless sigh of relief flushed through the crowd.
Irina shivered in your arms and you gently took her sore stub in your hand.
It didn’t look good.
“Hurts, doesn’t it?”
“Yes,” she moaned.
“You deserve it,” Bella said, coming up to you both, “For putting us all in danger.”
“I am sorry.  I-I thought-”
“You didn’t think at all!  My child could have been killed!”
“Watch you tone,” you growled.
“You’re defending her?”
“I am acknowledging the truth.  This child did what any vampire would do after loosing a mate and having her own cousins invite the dogs that killed him to their wedding.  What was his name - Laurent, I believe?”
“He tried to kill me!”
“And whose fault is that?  His or Edward’s for leaving you unattended?”
“You-”
“I what?  Go on Bella.  Finish your sentence so that I may take your tongue.”
Bella said nothing.
“Now I have done you a kindness on behalf of your child since she was innocent.  But you?  I detest spoiled girls.  Do not cross me, Cullen.”
“Ugh, enough of this!  Can we take Irina home now?”  Tanya asked.
You softly brushed Irina’s blonde hair, “Darest Tanya, it is her choice.  She may return to you or spend some time with me.”
“I...I think I...I need to be on my own for a while,” Irina said, clutching her sore stump.
“Well there we have it.  Irina shall be under my care until further notice.”
“No!”  Tanya shouted.
“You can’t do that!”  Kate argued.
“I can do whatever I like.”
That shut them up instantly.
“Now,” you spoke, “I think it shall do Irina and the rest of you some good if she spends some time with me.”
“And the Volturi?  Your husband?”  Vladimir demanded, “What price does he pay for destroying our coven?”
“Depends.  What price do you intend to make him pay?”
That question silenced him and you smiled pleasantly.
“Well, if that is all.  I shall be taking my leave.  Annette, Irina - come.  Let us leave this place.”
_
THREE YEARS LATER
“Are you sure this is the right place?”  Emmett asked, looking up at the nightclub with the long line hanging out the door.
“Hmm,” Bella mumbled, pulling out the invitation and checking the address, “Nebu Nightclub?  Yeah this is the place.”
“Well do we have to wait in this long line?”  Alice asked.
“Not if I can help it,” Carlisle said, walking up to the bouncer.
“Excuse me sir.  We have a special reservation for Cullen?”
The bounder checked his list and let them pass, “Cullen?  Right on time.  Just this way.”
“I can’t believe that worked,” Alice commented.
“It’s a rule that (Y/N) taught me years ago,” Carlisle explained, “Vampires do not wait for things.  They take what they want.”
The club was bumping.
Everyone was dressed in the most glittering gold clothes they had and they danced and grinded as the music blared around them.
Even the drink were glittering gold.
Either fizzing or thick with the smell of alcohol.
“This place is AWESOME!”  Emmett commented.
“Speak for yourself,” Jasper groaned, “This place smells like sweat.”
“And it’s gonna seep into my clothes,” Alice whined.
“Well it looks like you all could use some relief,” a familiar voice said.
“Irina?” Carlisle asked as the vampire approached, “Wow.  You look...different.”
Irina smiled confidently, “Thank you Carlisle.  Now, come with me.  My Queen does not wish to be kept waiting.”
The Cullens followed Irina to the back.
Whoa.
The place was ten times brighter than the cave Carlisle found you in.
It was brilliant.
“Wow,” Emmett commented, “Nice place.”
“Thank you.”
The liquid gold lining the walls slinked off and began to culminate to sculpt your voluptuous figure.
Smiling, you opened your eyes.
“Pharaoh,” Carlisle greeted as they all bowed, “It is good to see you.”
“It is good to see you as well, along with your family.  I assume Edward is at home with little Renesmee?”
“Yes,” Bella confirmed with a nervous swallow, “With Jacob of course.”
“Good!  It must have been quite the journey here.  Irina, some drinks for our guests please.”
Irina nodded and quickly fetched some blood shots.
“We don’t drink human blood,” Alice said.
“I know about your diet dear,” you said, “It’s animal blood - hunted down from the finest animals all through the States.  Emmett I remember you prefer bear right?”
“Yes ma’am,” Emmett confirmed, gulping down his drink.
“Mmm,” Alice hummed, “Deer.”
“See I knew you’d like it,” you said, “Now, come sit with me.  Let us chat.”
They all surround you as you smile pleasantly.
“Pharaoh,” Carlisle says, “As much as I enjoy visiting you, I have a feeling you did not invite us here for drinks.”
You sigh, “Too true.  I am here to offer you something - a proposal.”
“Which is?”
“While I know that we do always see eye to eye, I think we both can agree that Aro’s rule over the vampire world is toxic.  That being said, I want to be queen of our kind.  But for that to happen, the Volturi need to overthrown.  I need your help to make that happen.”
“Well I cannot say that I am surprised by that.  Still, I cannot put my family in danger.”
“Your family is already in danger as long as my ex rules the throne.  Support me and you nor anyone else shall no longer have to live in fear.”
“Sounds promising,: Emmett commented, “But how many vampires have you actually spoken to about this?”
“None.  You are the first.  It is alright if you say no.  I shall merely take the throne by myself.  I merely desire the support of my kind when I do.  So Carlisle, are you in or are you out?”
Carlisle sighed, “For now, I will consider it.  But I will need to talk to my wife first.”
“Excellent.  And fear not.  No one shall know of our budding alliance.  In the meantime...”
Your eyes darkened.
“We have work to do.”

“Ahh,” Aro’s face lit up beautifully, a bright smile splitting his face, pearly white teeth stained a light pink shined. “Darcia, lovely for you to join us.”
“Masters.” Darcia bowed her head, giving them a bright but fearful smile. She was new, only having the position of secretary for a total of three weeks. It seems the gods were not on her side.
“Do you know how we get our food?” Aro questioned, raising an eyebrow as he looked down at the young woman. His dull scarlet eyes raked over her slim form, the black dress she wore clung to her body nicely.
“There is a large tour group for all of you, brought in by Heidi.” She answered weakly, looking confused. Her eyes flashing to the two other leaders. Master Caius burning into her skin with his fiery gaze, while Master Marcus face was rested back against is chair, his eyes hooded but his attention was on her. “I do not understand why you are asking me.” Darcia mumbled quietly, looking up at Aro, “Is there something wrong Master?”
“My dear,” His hand floated in the air, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Those invitations, for our meal, was sent to a school...and now we will be having a tour of children within our castle.”
Darcia’s eyebrows furrowed, “They did not make it to the people targeted?”
“No.” Was the answer she received, and they could hear her heart speed up.
“My deepest, apologies Masters.” She dropped her head, shame and embarrassment taking over her form. “I was not aware of this. I do not know how this happened.”
Aro grabbed her hand, seeking the truth from her. He saw everything, how she sent them to the mail, though it seemed there was no error within her work. He let go of her, narrowing his eyes. “It seems you are correct, no wrong was done by you...but there still is the matter of not having a meal.”
“It would be a shame if those small children were killed instead, wouldn’t it?” Caius’s viper like sneer was sharp and stung so bad that Darcia flinched.
“Now, Brother. Darcia was doing her job.” Aro chided in, giving the girl a smile. “Return to your work, but make sure we have a meal scheduled before our little guests arrive.”
“Yes Masters.” She bowed and turned to leave, her heart beating rapidly.
+++
“Alright class, step lightly!” A young blonde woman smiled, holding her large sun hat as she counted the small heads stepping off the plain, the sun shined high in the sky. She counted twelve, which was the correct number of students she had taken with her. “Okay, everyone hold hands and stay close, we need to find the guide to the castle!” She clapped her hands, earning large smiled from her young students.
“Is there a King inside?” A boy asked, blue eyes wide with curiosity.
“Perhaps, maybe we will see him!” The teacher replied.
“Ms. Agne?” The woman turned to see a beautiful woman wearing a black long coat, made of thin material. Her brown hair was wrapped in a deep red headscarf, her eyes covered by sunglasses. “I am Heidi, I am your guide for the tour.”
“Oh, hello.” The Grecian smiled politely, “This is my class...um, we need to find our hotel, all our luggage was sent there ahead of time.
“Oh course,” Heidi smiled, charmingly tilting her head. “I have been informed that your hotel is actually not far from the castle.”
“Wonderful!” Ms. Agne turned to her students, telling them to hold hands and walk in a line. “Caesar, will you follow Ms. Heidi?”
“Here sweetheart.” Heidi bent lowly and smiled warmly, “So you won’t get lost.”
Caesar blushed and nodded, words not coming from his mouth as he took her gloved hand.
They walked to the two cars that took them straight to the hotel, which was just down the street of the Castle. The children laughed and talked animatedly as they neared the Castle, all but one.
She was a small girl, thin for her age as her dark long locks bounced and swayed with every step she took. She walked in the back of the line, clutching a light brown teddy bear to her chest as her brown eyes looked around the scene around her. She walked quietly, not seemingly interested in the chatters of her peers.
Heidi and Ms. Agnes were in a conversation about the castle, the architecture and history behind it, and they didn’t notice that the young girl had stopped to look up at a painting. Her big dark brown eyes looked at the painting, eyes flashing over the three men within the painting. Their skin was bright, almost a white color as they sat in large chairs. The one on the far left was older looking, his face long and oval shaped as he seemed to be very tired to the young girl. The one on the right was blonde and he looked very young, and pretty, like a girl. The middle man was stoically looking upon the viewer, eyes bright and red.
Turning to go back to her class, she saw they were gone. No one was in sight, making her look left and right, not sure of what she should do. Papa always told her to look for an adult when she was lost, but this was a castle, could she get lost in a place she was supposed to be? Biting her lip, and puffing her cheeks, she pushed herself down the hall across from her, the hall long and dark. She didn’t know why it was dark, it was still day right? She came upon a door, which was large and seemed old. There was pictures on it, deep engravings twisting and turning, making a weird pattern she’s never seen before.
She knocked, pushing herself up onto her toes and barely flicking the large metal door handles, which seemed to be enough as it made a deep guttural sound throughout the hall. The doors opened, and the room was bright on the inside.
The whole room was made of white stone, a large stained glass window was on the ceiling, catching the girl's attention quickly. She walked in slowly, brown eyes up and her shoes making a soft tap on the marble floor.
“Why hello.” The girl jumped, eyes snapping down to see the three men in the painting. The man in the middle, with the red eyes smiled brightly at her, as he stood from his throne. “You must be apart of the tour.” She looked around, seeing other people with dark clothing standing around the room. All eyes were on her, making her clutch her bear tighter.
“Why aren’t you with your group?” Caius question, raising an eyebrow as he leaned on his left arm.
“Ms. Agnes is not attentive.” The small girl replied, making the three smile.
“Ah, such a beauty.” Aro walked towards her, bending down and giving her a toothy smile, and none of them missed how she stared at his teeth before looking into his eyes. “What is your name child?”
“Ensley.” She looked around, “Are you the Kings?”
“How do you know that?”
“All castles have kings.”
Aro laughed, turning to his two coven leaders before turning back to the small Ensley. “My dear, you are a treasure.” He held out his hand, “May I?” She placed her hand within his, her small warm hand a great contrast in color to his. Her skin was olive toned, the sun evident within her pores, while his skin was a chalky white. “What a sad life you’ve lived Ensley, my dear.”
Suddenly, the doors burst open, a tall man walking in with a growl. His eyes were wide and black, his dirty blond hair messy and looked as wild as his eyes. He locked in on Ensley, hissing before making a dash for her, she barely registered what had happened before she was in the arms of tired looking leader, the blond man being held back by a tall guard who was standing by the door.
Ensley watched with wide eyes as the man struggled, his eyes never leaving her.
When the man was pushed into the marble floor, the stone cracking and concaving around him as two guards held him down. Marcus stood, the girl in his arms as he walked to Aro, placing his hand in his.
“Ahhh!” Aro gasped a laugh, looking happily at the man on the floor. “Demetri, it seems she is your La Tua Cantante.” He paused, “And your mate.”
“We should keep them separated,” Caius stated, still lounging in his chair, looking annoyed by the disturbance.
“For the child’s sake.” Marcus wheezed, looking down at the shaking girl, whose eyes were trained on Demetri.
“Is he okay?” She asked, scared of him, but also curious as to why he looked like he was in pain. “Is he hurt?”
“Only a little mio caro.” Aro turned to a blond girl who stood still, watching the whole ordeal go down. “Jane, please come here.”
“Yes Master.” She stopped in front of them, glancing at the girl briefly before turning her attention to Aro.
“Please make sure Ensley makes it to her group safely.” Marcus set the girl down, pushing her slightly towards Jane. Ensley looked up at the blond girl, seeing an angelic face and dark makeup around red eyes.
“Yes Master.” Jane held out her hand, “Come.” Ensley took her hand and walked beside her as they walked around the struggling man and out the door. The doors slammed shut behind them, making the girl jump. They were quiet, all the way until the group came into sight at the main entrance. “Heidi.” Jane nodded, letting the girls hand go as she turned to leave.
“Ensley!” Ms. Agnes scolded, “You shouldn’t ever wander off like that!”
“I’m sorry.” She replied in poor greek, her tongue unable to make the correct sounds.
“You could have been hurt!”
“I know.” She pouted, looking down at the ground before seeing she lost her bear. “Ah! Ms. Agnes! I lost my bear!” Tears swelled in her eyes, but the teacher simply sighed and told her to hold Jacques's hand.
“I’m sorry for this, she’s a wanderer.”  Ms. Agnes sighed, looking at Heidi.
“It’s quite alright, she’s a curious girl.” Heidi tilted her head, “I hope you're travels back are safe.”
“Thank you.” Ms. Agnes smiled before pulling the kids out into the shining sun.
“You lost a girl? A child Heidi!” Caius yelled, face scrunched together in a snarl.
“I am sorry, Master Caius, I did not realise the child had wandered off until their teacher did a headcount.” Heidi lowered her head, looking embarrassed.
“She was almost killed, if it not been for Felix and Alec.” Caius grumbled, leaning back in his chair.
Heidi looked up, “What? She made it in here?”
“Ensley is Demetri’s La Tua Cantante, his mate.” Aro grinned, his hands clasped together as he looked at his tracker, who was holding the light brown teddy bear to his nose, taking a deep breath. He hasn’t let go of it since he got the thing. His eyes were black, and his throat burned, but in the most pleasing way. She smelled of rosemary, a hint of cinnamon, and something else. Sandy, something soft and sunny, almost hot on his nose. It wasn’t a harsh smell, but warm and welcoming as it reminded him of something from his homeland. Of Greece. Of the boats, of the water.
“Oh my, that is interesting.” Heidi smiled, looking at Demetri who looked at her from behind the bear, taking a deep breath. “Say, Demetri...what do you plan to do with her?”
“Knowing he wants to drain her dry, we’ve decided to separate them, for her safety.” Aro interjected.
Heidi raised an eyebrow, “Won’t that hurt the poor child? She’s met him, the bond is set...what happens when she cannot be happy?”
Aro sighs, “We must intervene then...Jane?”
Jane steps forward, “Yes Master?”
“Find the girls home, see if she is in need of a nanny.” Aro finished, hands together as he looked into the distance in thought.

For the last few weeks, Harry has been stuck around the house, mainly forced to stay in bed and relax. He hasn't been into his office this whole time and it is killing him. He hates it. To a certain extent, I hate it, too.
He has no idea what to do with himself without work, in fact, he just lazes around the house with his phone or laptop close back so he can keep up to date with absolutely everything that happens in his building. He has Anastasia and Niall keeping him in the loop with everything, Niall calling him pretty much every hour to talk business.
I have to say, I am thankful he trusted Niall, otherwise, Harry would be an erratic mess.
I travel down the stairs of our house, curious as to where Harry has managed to get himself off too, he can't go too far considering he just took his pain meds, he was warned to take it easy, but I doubt he will be listening to his doctor. He is stubborn.
"Harry?" I call, not wanting to search the entire downstairs area for him.
I get a hummed response before his voice echoes, "Living room." I am informed and I wander my way towards the living room where I discover Harry, sprawled out on the couch.
I lean against the doorframe, "Let's set a date." I smile at Harry as he's lying on the couch with his phone in his hand, checking emails and whatever else. Probably annoying the hell out of Niall.
"What you talkin' about, love?" He yawns, his eyes not leaving his phone as I continue to stay perched against the doorframe.
My eyes lower towards my hand where I rotate my engagement ring nervously around my finger, appreciating how the diamonds glisten brilliantly in the light of our living room. "The wedding, Harry." I smile, ready to finally have a decent conversation about it. Now is a better time than any. "That thing that makes you my husband, the thing you got mad at me about because I didn't want to rush and pick a date so quickly?" I remind him of the promise that is on my finger that shows that we are, at some point, meant to tie the knot.
He glances up at me with a petite smirk, "Okay, when do you want to get married?" He challenges, sitting up with a bit of pain, his grimace breaking my heart.
As little girls' most of us plan our weddings in our heads, from the flowers to the diamonds, to the wedding destination, and the honeymoon.
I can't really say my ideas that I had when I was six and waltzing around the living room floor, are anywhere near similar to my concepts now. But, the one thing that is the same is that I don't want it to be in the dead of winter where snow falls and everyone struggles to find something suitable and warm enough to wear to a beautiful wedding.
"I'm not sure, I just don't want it to be in the dead of winter." I carefully sit on the couch, resting to face him, his head nodding in agreement.
"You okay?" I enquire, unable to disregard his slight wince as I try to get comfortable on the couch.
"Just my back," he clears his throat, "nothin' to worry 'bout, sweetheart. So, the wedding." He proceeds, finding a comfortable position as I try not to move too much. "If you want something warm, why don't we have it in a tropical place? Hawaii is nice." He proposes and I immediately shake my head.
"That would cost a lot of money, and it would be far too stressful for everyone." I politely shoot down his idea,
"I, *we* don't have an issue paying. But, okay. Tell me what you're thinking." He instructs, putting his phone down and giving me his full attention.
I don't have many thoughts regarding the wedding, all my plans from my six-year-old self, are far from what I would want now at my age.
It's amazing how much things can change from the age of six. I once envisioned I would walk down the aisle to an actual Prince— despite Harry metaphorically being a prince, I am not walking down the aisle to become royalty, nor do I want to be holding Lilly's or orchids.
"Elle, baby—" Harry's hand presses delicately to my knee, distracting me from me from my thoughts. I hum towards Harry, my eyes flickering to glance at him, allowing him to continue with whatever it is he wishes to state.
"How about a year from now?" He proposes, "I've always thought May was a nice month, not too hot, not too cold." He continues, my own thoughts agreeing with his. May is a cheerful month, just the way it is spelled and holds such grace to it.
I give him a tiny smile, "so a year from today?" I question, reaching for his phone to check the calendar to see the days. "Okay, so a year from now is a Thursday, so how about the Saturday?" I glance up to glance at Harry, waiting for his approval. "It's the twelfth, and your calendar says you're free." I wink, showing him his phone as he squeezes my knee lightly,
"Sounds great to me. You need to find a venue and make sure it's available otherwise we are fucked." .. "Come here, lie beside me." He instructs, making enough room for my to carefully lie beside him, his arm draped around me as I rest my head on him.
"You mean, we need to find a venue." I correct his statement, a humble chortle escaping from him. "Where are you thinking?" I request, wanting his input and opinion in where we get married.
I know most guys don't really care for the details, but I want him to be apart of the decision making. "Haven't thought about it much," his hand slowly moving to my thigh.
"Hm, would you prefer a more refined wedding back in your hometown? Or do you want to stay towards the city?"
"We are not getting married in my hometown," he shakes his head, "took me years to move away from it. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place for my Mum and to visit every so often, but I do not want to get married up there." He shakes his head, his voice dry as he speaks.
"What about your family? They'll have to make the five hours drive down here." I inform him, reminding him that it may be a hassle to get everyone to a location in the city.
"I'll have them driven out here, I'm not getting married up there, Elise. It's all I have to say on the matter." He comments bitterly, something about his hometown not seeming to settle too well with him.
For what reason, I do not know.
We spend some time discussing, mainly giggling while trying to plan our wedding, throwing out random ideas and thoughts.
In the midst of everything, my eyes find it hard to detach themselves away from the plump lips of his. I smirk as he continues to talk about something, his lips looking delicious with each moment that passes,
“Babe? .. baby? Are you listening?” His voice distracts me, his eyes staring at me as I move my eyes away from his mouth.
I don’t respond, instead, I move closer and delicately lower myself onto him, securing our lips together as his hands rest on my waist.
I have no idea what he was just talking about, but I do know that this a much better form of communication for the moment.
I kiss him a few times, leisurely and softly as his hands generously and carefully wander all over me. I get lost in the circling sensation of wordless kisses, out mouths speaking a language we understand without expressions. His kisses intensify the moment he slips his hand under my shirt and feels the warmth of my skin pressed to his hand.
I feel my toes curl at the tender touch of his hand, my lips parting from his, an eager desire of something much more brewing inside me.
I glance down at him and take a breath, his eyes gleaming up at me with a desiring glow. He reaches his hand up and pushes a few strands of hair behind my ear, unknowingly sending shivers down my body.
“What’s the matter?” He whispers, his hand stroking me benevolently before I shrug it away. As much as I want to continue what I just initiated, we can't.
I clear my throat, “We can’t.”
He raises a brow, cocking his head to the side as he licks his lips, “Why?” He asks quietly.
“Your back.” I respond,
He shakes his head, “Nonsense, I’m fine.” His voice stays soft and low as he assures me that he fine, but I don't want to believe it.
“No, I don’t want to hurt you.” I shake my head, my hands considerately pressing to his chest as I position myself to sit back on his legs, tenderly straddling him.
“It’s been a while since we’ve done anything, I’m fine. I’ll stay on my back if it’ll make you feel better.”
“We can’t.”
“We can do other things.” He comments quietly, but other things don't make me feel more at ease with my thoughts.
“I don’t know, Harry.”
“You look beautiful.”
“I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“We don’t have to go all the way.” He tries to persuade me in his soft tone, “I know you want too, you just latched onto me randomly.” He informs me of my previous moment of attacking him with kisses without reason.
I shrug and carefully climb off him, a heavy huff escaping his lips.
“You can’t just do that. You can’t get me interested and then just decide to get off. I haven’t had much contact in two and a half weeks and you literally just got me eager for nothing.” He mutters unhappily, making it know that he is far from happy with my decision.
“I’m looking out for you.” I shake my head,
“Whatever, Elise.” He grumbles,
“Are you pissed off with me?” I cross my arms over my chest, staring at him as he pouts like a damn child who didn't get their own way. He may as well throw a temper tantrum while he is at it.
He tilts his head to glare at me, his eyes sinister, an expression I have grown to understand after the few years we have been together. He is most definitely pissed off. “Elise, go away.”
“Harry-” I lament, stepping back towards the couch as he’s staring off into the distance.
“What? Are you going to try to tease me more? Maybe rub me a bit this time?” He mutters, “I’m not in the fucking mood, just go away.” He continues,
“I love you.” … “and I’m sorry you think I’m being a bitch, but I’m not going to risk hurting you. You also just took your meds.” I continue, taking my chances and carefully getting back on the couch, gently pressing my body to his.
He heavily breathes, not saying a word as I cuddle into him, his arms not snaking around me like usual. "You can be as mad as you want, but I am not going anywhere so suck it up and stop being a fucking child, I love you," I comment, burying myself into his chest as I feel his arm slowly moving to wrap around me to become my security blanket.
I rub my sleepy-eyed eyes as I step down the last step, and I overhear Harry's faint voice echoing delicately. I can't quite make out his words, I can only assume he's on the phone for business or something.
When I step into the living room, I am surprised when I don't see his lap accompanied by his laptop, or his hand gripping his phone to his ear.
For a moment, I stand startled as my eyes cast themselves on Harry, sitting in his chair with a baby wiggling within his lap, her tiny little hands clasped with his as she cheerfully bounces. His sweet eyes glance towards me, a crooked grin painted across his luscious pink lips, "Hey, sweetheart. Nice of you to finally wake up and join us." He greets me as I lean against the doorframe, admiring the way the little girl is bouncing in his lap. "I'm babysitting, sorry if we woke you. I tried to keep her as quiet as possible." He smiles, his beautiful light-green eyes flickering back to gaze down at the little girl, his eyes seeming to be in awe.
"No, no, I didn't hear you guys." I shake my head, "jus' so damn exhausted, I didn't even feel you leave the bed." I yawn, shuffling closer to him as he's rested in his chair. "Who do we have here? Hm? Who's the delightful girl with my man?" I coo as I meet the crystal eyes of blue I've only had the pleasure to meet a few times— Amelie, (Am-Elle-Ee).
Harry laughs softly as Amelie gazes up at me with wide eyes and a beamy grin, "Amelie, I think someone's jealous." Harry jokes, still cautiously holding onto his God daughter, my eyes catching a glimpse at her adorable little outfit, a pair of black pants, a garden pink top with a dark bow in the middle of it, accompanied by a pair of silver glittery shoes.
"I'm jealous of how cute she is." I express joy, her nose twitching as she blinks up at me, "have you eaten, Harry?" I question, my stomach grumbling since I've neglected to eat since six last night.
Harry nods, "I ate a few hours ago, but if you're offering to cook, I'd love somethin' to eat." He winks, pulling a few funny faces at Amelie, her giggles radiating throughout the room,
I travel to the kitchen and smile when Harry follows, Amelie nestled at his hip while he walks in, the two of them together unquestionably look endearing. Part of me smiles at how he glows while holding her, part of me seizes with emotion.
"How's your back?" I challenge as he sits down on one of the stools, placing Amelie in his lap, her little hands pressing to the edge of the counter top.
"Sore, very sore." He responds as he curls his lips into a pout, "But, I am still going back to work tomorrow morning, I don't care. I can't stay cooped up around here any longer." He comments, bouncing Amelie with his leg while I rummage around the fridge, debating on what I want to eat.
Harry makes conversation with me while I make some pancakes, occasionally our conversations become interrupted by the murmurs and random giggles of Amelie.
I smile down at her as I slide Harry's plate closer to him, Amelie's eyes seeming to widen as she glances at the golden pancakes. Her little hands try to reach for them but Harry moves back, "Aww, are you hungry? Won't Harry share?" I smile at her,
"I like how you make me sound like the bad guy," He mutters, "Do you wanna go to Elise? Hm." He hums, glancing over at me, cocking his eyebrows when I don't respond or offer my arms to take Amelie from him.
“What, yeh don’t want to hold her?” Harry questions and I shrug, trying to consider of a way to occupy myself so I don’t have to hold the adorable infant.
“I’m not good with babies,” I respond, Harry instantly scoffs and rolls his eyes at me,
“That’s nonsense, I’ve seen yeh with kids before and you’re great.” He flashes me a tiny smile, accompanied by his light shaded eyes, “you can’t turn down the eyes.” He continues, drawing my attention to the two of them.
“whose? Yours or hers?” I laugh softly, observing as they both bat their eyes at me, almost as if Amelie is on Harry’s side in coaxing me into holding her.
“Both, I can’t hold her forever, baby.” Harry chimes, “plus my pancakes are getting cold.” He gestures towards the fluffy pancakes, a heavy exhalation falling from my lips.
I step around and stop at Harry, nervously pressing my hands to Amelie and lifting her off of Harry. She spontaneously wiggles around and whines against me, seeming unsatisfied with my arms. I glance at Harry, ready to hand her back but he shakes his head, his hand pressing against my arm, “it’s okay, she does that.” He promptly reassures me, “look at you two, are you comfy with my darling fiancé?” He coos at Amelie as she settles into me.
I bounce Amelie around the kitchen while Harry eats, trying not to allow my nervousness to get ahold of me.
I sit on the couch and watch as Harry sits on the floor with Amelie, her little hands amused by the fluffiness of the carpet. I smile to myself, admiring how he is so attentive with her, never taking his eyes off of her while she is in his care.
I gaze back down at his MacBook, typing away, working on preparing correspondences and prioritising items that need Logan's attention. He seems to lack in the department of prioritising, something I have grown to understand and work with. I did not know that a man like him needed a physical list, written by me, to tell him what he needs to take care of first. I frown when I read an email from Logan.
I immediately glance at Harry, "Harry?" I draw his attention from Amelia. He looks up at me and gives me a scanty nod, waiting for me to continue. "What does this mean? Represent the executive by attending meetings in the executive's absence; speaking for the executive' because Logan said this is part of my job and I am apparently doing it tomorrow." I question, having a brief idea of what it means, but not wanting to come to terms with the actual idea of it.
"Well, darling." He begins, clearing his throat, "You'll be speaking to his clients because he won't be attending. That is what it narrows down to. Basically, your excuse of a boss is being a jackass and making you do his dirty work." He answers, covering Amelie's ears when he says the words jackass. "Personally, I don't let anyone speak on my behalf. I just cancel or suck it up. But, your Dickhead Boss is a princess and doesn't have a set of balls, soo, good luck." He continues,
"Harry, language." I gesture towards the eight-month-old that is crawling into Harry's lap, her little hands pressing to his chest as his hand presses to her back.
"Doubt she will repeat that." He shrugs, "Right, Amelie? You can't repeat what I just said, no, no." He whispers kissing her forehead sweetly before she wiggles back away from him and goes back to roaming and crawling around the carpet.
"So, he expects me to talk to his clients?"
"Mhm," Harry hums, "He will probably give you a list and prompt you on what to so and say. Kinda like I do when we go to big events and I need you to work your charm." He informs me, and I nod with a heavy rustle, getting back to my work that Logan has so kindly graced me with on my day off.
I gaze away from the screen when I hear Amelie beginning to fuss, Harry instantly doing his best to soothe her, standing to his feet and bouncing her on his hip while walking around the room. "Aww, are you upset? what's the matter, sweet one?" He hums, moving so she can rest on his chest, his hand rubbing her back as she whimpers into him, her little legs kicking out.
"She's probably tired, Harry," I comment gently, admiring how handsome he resembles with a child in his arms. He bites his lip as she continues to squirm against him, "Baby, do you want to put her to sleep?" He challenges, rubbing her back as she continues to whimper and seem uncomfortable.
"Put her down, she seems restless, let her sit back down on the carpet for a second," I instruct, watching as he does what I say. She quietens down a little further the moment she rests on her tummy, but she still continues to whimper lightly.
Harry lies down beside her with a heavy grunt, a faint giggle from Amelie escaping her lips.
"Ah, so you giggle at my pain." Harry snickers, "You like that, huh?" He gently pokes her side, causing another giggle to escape her no longer whimpering lips.
"You alright down there?" I question towards Harry. He turns his head to promptly glance at me,
He hums, "Mhm,"  .. "I might need help getting back up though." He chuckles to himself, "But, it stopped her from whimpering, so that is good." He adds with a humble smile, taking his attention back towards Amelie, his voice continuing to coo at her, his hand rubbing gentle circles on her back as she relaxes and sprawls herself out.
I overhear a tiny grunt coming from Harry, distracting me from my work.
I slide the laptop off my lap and stand to my feet, stepping towards Harry before I lie down beside him, Amelie between the two of us. "Nice of you to join me." He gives me his sweet smile, resting his hand on my hip, while Amelie is nestled at his stomach contently, him being positioned on his side.
"You seem exhausted, did she tire you out?" I whisper, pressing my fingers to his hair, running them in a soothing motion, as he nods, resting his head on his arm.
"Perhaps," He yawns, "But she is adorable, quite the charmer." He smiles, "I haven't gotten any kisses all day, wanna spare me some?" He whispers gently, his hand rubbing my side gently to coax me.
"Not in front of the baby." I laugh softly, feeling that it is not appropriate to kiss when a baby is present.
"She is asleep." He disputes softly, "jus' a few kisses, I have been good." He whispers sweetly with a smirk painted across his lips.
With a small giggle, I give into his cheeky grin and the stare in his eyes. I shuffle closer, carefully, before I kiss him lightly, just enough to satisfy him with the taste of my lips.
He curls his lips into a pout, as usual, "Elle, a bit more?" He attempts to use his charm but it doesn't work on me, not this time.
"No, Styles. There is a baby present." I carefully gesture towards the sleeping infant who is contently sleeping by him.
He groans and gives up, giving me a faint smile as his thumb rubs miniature circles on my side. "I love you, yah know?" He grins as my fingers get lost in the soft tangles of his hair.
I nod, knowing very well that he does love me, he proves himself over and over again to me. "This was a small hint that you love me," I smile, holding my hand up to show him the ring he proposed to me with.
He gently grabs my hand with his, his fingers running over the diamonds, "Mhm, can't wait to finally call you my wife in a year, as of today." He sweetly comments, causing my smile to widen and my heart to flutter with joy.
The thought of walking down an aisle to him and tying the knot, in exactly a year, is such a wonderful feeling.
In a year, we will be happily married. That is exciting on so many levels.
"You already call me your wife." I remind him of that one phone call he referred to me as his wife.
He nods, "Yeah, but you'll officially be Mrs.Styles, in a year." ... "Can't wait to say Mrs.Styles. It has a ring to it, don't it?" He smirks,
"It does," I nod, "But, what if I want to keep my last name?" I raise a brow, just wanting to see his response.
It is a common thing now for women to keep their last names.
He thinks for a moment, licking his lips as he concentrated on his own thoughts, a small gesture that I find to be rather adorable. "Well, that is your decision, I can accept that. I would love for you to take my last name, but that is something for you to decide... Maybe we can hyphenate it?" His response only makes me fall even more in love with him, quite the response I was searching for.
"Nice answer."
"So.. what are you doing?" He asks, his eyes lowering to look at Amelie as she wiggles against him, taking his attention. He lets go of my hand and gently presses his hand to her little back, rubbing tiny circles until she settles again.
"I'm taking your last name. Jus' wanted to see what you'd say." I wink, "You're really good with her." I point out, unable to take my eyes away from his hand rubbing soothingly soft circles on her back.
He shrugs, "I am alright with her, future Mrs.Styles." He grins, a chuckle escaping my lips...
After watching Harry so in aw and attentive with Amelie I can't help but have this feeling in the pit of my stomach, a feeling that the aw in his eyes was more than just a shining gaze. "Harry?" I grasp his attention as he lies down on the bed, comfortably stretching the covers over his body. He hums a response, waiting for me to continue as his eyes beam over at me intently. "You still don't want kids, do you?" I lightly question as I glance down at my hands, my fingers intertwining with each other on a nervous manner.
"Where did that question come from?" He raises a brow,
I shrug, many thoughts circling my mind, the question is coming from various places. "You just seem so star struck after today, I'm just curious." I clear my throat, managing to muster up the right words to say at this point in time.
Him wanting children or not is a topic we need to discuss, now.
"Well, maybe sometime in the future after we've been married for a while, when a baby fits into my schedule. What about you?" He yawns, I shake my head, the thought of growing a baby inside me scares me half to death, even though it shouldn't.
"I don't want to," I whisper, his body immediately sitting up, his eyes narrowing down on me harshly.
"What do you mean you do not want to?" His interrogation comes off as sharp and direct, something inside me telling me that his views on children has gradually changed over time.
I choke up in my own thoughts, not managing to respond to his question.
I am saved from my scrambling thoughts when my phone vibrates in my hand. Immediately, I glance down at my phone, skimming the message from my boss.
"I need to go, Logan is calling me into work." I dismiss the topic of conversation, not wanting to answer Harry's question.
"What? It is nine at night, the hell he want you for?" He mutters, unfortunately,
"Some urgent business thing," I respond, "Literally, that is what the text message reads." I gesture towards my phone.
"Mhm, well be careful." He laments, "I'm about to fall asleep, so I guess I will see you in the morning?"
"Mhm," I hum, grabbing a jacket before I hurry out of the room, escaping all possible questions regarding children and us.
I yawn as I rub my eyes, anxious to get home so I can get some sleep, my body feeling as though it is sleep deprived, the last five hours working with Logan has made my body achy. Very achy.
"Elise, take these down the hall to the very end, here is the key. The door is on your left, file them in the filing compartment on the right and also look for the file with the last name, Thomas Oh actually, take this whole box, too." He instructs, dropping a pile of files on top of a box that is also full of more files.
Logan has seemed a bit pissy this evening, for a reason, I do not know. He seems to be very on edge, almost as if his mind is scrambling with one-hundred different thoughts.
I nod, taking the keys as he picks the box up off the floor and hands it to me. I let out a small groan, the heaviness being something I did not expect, something I probably should not be carrying at two in the morning. But, this comes with the territory of being paid as much as I do.
I don't complain, instead, I do what I am told and step out of Logan's office, wandering down towards the end of the hall until I reach the final door on the left. I place the box down and grasp the right key, struggling with the lock as I attempt to open it. I finally manage and bend over to pick up the box of files, "Damnit," I mumble, a meager pain travelling through me as I carry the box into the room.
I place the box down and grab the pile of folders Logan gave me, as I open up the filing compartment he instructed me to open.
I carefully sit myself down on the floor, my fingers browsing over the several disparate files, trying to find the one he specifically directed me to search for. I lament heavily, my body feeling sleep deprived as I read the files that are in alphabetical order, brushing over many different names, trying to get to the T section.
When my finger floats across a file with 'Styles', written on it, I immediately become wide-eyed, sleep suddenly being something that I no longer need. I bite my lip as my eyes stare at the name, my fingers twitching while I attempt to hold myself back from seizing the file.
For a moment I shake my head, rubbing my eyes again to make sure I am not seeing things, and that file does, indeed, have Harry's last name written on it. I stop myself from reaching the file and pass the 'S' section, finding the 'T' and pulling out the Thomas file. I place it beside me, my mind reminding me of the file with Styles perfectly scribed on it.
I decide to take my chances and grasp the file to open it, my eyes struggling to focus on the first page that stares at me.
Harry.E. Styles
DOB: 01/02/1994
I am stopped from reading further when I overhear a door closing and footsteps, my heart racing as I hurry to get the folder back into the compartment, my hands grasping the folder Logan asked for as he steps in, his eyes seeming darker than usual as I look up at him.
"I found the file, do you want these to be filed now?" I challenge, gesturing to the pile of the files he instructed me to bring down here.
"No, I can do it." He comments, something about him seeming peculiar. He offers me his hand and carefully helps me back up to my feet, my stomach beginning to twist into knots.
"Do you need me to stay much longer? I'm not feeling too great." I question, my mind circling with far too many thoughts right now, not to mention I am feeling uneasy.
Why is there a file with Harry's name on it? And why does Logan have it?
Logan nods, "Yes, I was about to tell you to leave anyway. I am sure Harry will be pissed if I keep you much longer." He mutters, his eyes glancing towards the pile of files before they flicker towards the filing compartment. "I need the keys back," He reminds me of the keys that he gave me to enter this room in the first place.
I hand him his keys, not wasting another minute before walking out of the room, surprised when I hear the door shut and him trailing behind me. "I'll walk you to your car, make sure you get down safely." He informs me, taking his spot beside me, walking in long strides.
He doesn't say much as he escorts me down to my car, in fact, he barely says a word, if I didn't know any better, I'd say he is pissed off with me, but he has no reason to be.
The whole drive home, my mind races with numerous thoughts and feelings, both of which I can't comprehend fully. I don't know what to tell Harry first when I get home. I don't know what he wants to know and what he needs to know.
I take the long way home to give myself some extra time to come together with my thoughts, trying to piece things together and make sense of things.
When I pull into our driveway, I park the car, turning it off before leaning back in my chair with a heavy breath leaving my lips. My eyes flicker towards the time that reads an ungodly hour.
I extract myself from my car, closing the door and locking it before I make my way to the front door of the house, literally taking my time as I attempt to continue to piece things together, to piece myself together. My hand presses to the door and pushes it open, the warmth and the sweet scent of our house enthrals me instantly, putting me at more of an ease as my foot kicks the door closed. I turn back around, locking it before my eyes set themselves on the staircase.
I hurry up the stairs, my mind scrambling like it has been all night.
I just need to tell him, a few things, actually. I just don't have the right words that need to be said.
I reach the bedroom and Harry is fast asleep in the middle of the bed, his legs sprawled out as he has his arms tucked under his pillow. A typical representation of how he sleeps when I am not beside him. Even when I am beside him he tends to take up most the bed, his bloody long legs enjoy pushing me to the edge.
I wander closer to the bed and carefully sit on the edge before I benevolently clasp my hand to his warm, bare skin. “Harry, Harry I need you to wake up,” I very carefully shake his arm, managing to draw him from his sleep.
He gives me a grunt as he stirs, “Harry, I need to talk to you.” I inform him, his head lifting off the pillow gradually,
“Baby, I’m exhausted.” His voice is dry and deep as he drags out his words accompanied by a heavy sigh.
“Harry it is important, please.” I press with a sigh, his legs moving under the comfort of the sheets.
“You okay, darlin’?” He drowsily challenges and in the dim light from the hallway, I see his eyes struggling to stay open,
“I need to tell you something, are you listening?.” I begin, his light-green eyes opening back up as he licks his lips and moves his hand to tug at the covers.
“Mhm, listenin’” he murmurs, caressing his head back down his pillow, his loose curls dropping around his face.
“Okay, so..Harry, I’m…” I trail off when I observe his eyes are closed and that his breathing has gotten heavier, an indication he is asleep and not listening.
Thoughts? How are you guys feeling after this chapter? :) xx

Chapter 12
I was nervous, trying to keep myself from fidgeting too much.  Aro had been… well... I honestly think he was planning things too perfectly. After dinner the night before, and his odd need to hold my hand constantly, he has been sending me little things throughout the night.  I had gone to bed early, wanting to rest up before our planned day and when I woke up, I was surprised with flowers everywhere and a cute little bear on my bed. I would have just passed it off as Aro being sweet but the flowers… well, they were my favorite flowers.
Lilies.
And lots of them.
And since then, the gifts were becoming more frequent.  I had done my morning routine of a shower and all that, only to step out and find a simple sun dress on my bed.  And a little white hat.  Then, after I was dressed, another box was brought to my room.  I was quick to want to deny the gift but I was told that they had to leave the box or Aro would be extremely upset.  So, I took the box, placing it on the bed unopened.  I would need to talk to him about this need to splurge on me. I didn’t need anything and this was becoming ridiculous.  What do I do with all the flowers?!
“Lady Alessandra?”
I jumped, turning on my heel to spot one of the guards standing at the door.  I never once heard them knock, which also reminded me of the situation I was in.  I was surrounded by vampires that could easily overpower me if they so choose to do so. But I also knew that one of my mates would destroy them if they tried.  Still not a comforting thought.
“Yes?”
“The master has asked that I come and collect you,” Demetri, if I remember his name right, told me.  I didn’t like his wording but I wasn’t going to say anything about that.
“Oh, okay.  Um, ready when you are?” I flinched, not liking how that sounded so much like a question.  But the more I thought on this, the more I realized that I was having doubts.  Did I not sleep well?  Were these doubts telling me that something was going to happen?  I just don’t know anymore.
“Come.  He is waiting,” Demetri bowed toward me, waving his hand toward the door.  I nodded, quick to head out the door toward wherever Aro was.  It was odd though, having someone escort me.  Really, this whole situation was odd.  Why would three insanely beautiful men want anything to do with me?  I was just a normal girl.  Well, besides the invisibility.  But I just don’t understand how three men… three vampires were mated to me.  Did it have to do with my personality?  Did they have something that I myself lack?  So many questions and just not enough answers.
“Alessandra, my love!”
“Hello, Aro,” I greeted him, forcing a smile.  But I could tell he caught on quick to that, noticing that his own fell from his face the moment I spoke.  My fake smile probably didn’t even reach my eyes, which was normally a dead give away as well.
“What is the matter, amore?  Did you not sleep well?” Aro was quick to cup my face, his thumbs brushing over my cheeks. I found myself unable to answer quickly, just staring up into his eyes as if I could find my answers in them. However, I was surprised by Aro’s sudden attention, as if he knew what was plaguing my mind.  As if his gift was able to reach through the barrier of mine to read my most plaguing thoughts.  It was rather unsettling to think of… but also comforting.
“I’m not sure,” I finally answered, heaving a sigh when Aro placed an arm around my waist.  His free hand had gripped mine, bringing it to his lips immediately as if that would provide the comfort I needed.  It didn’t, of course.  Just merely made me wonder what it is that he knew for him to act so sweet and understanding.  Aro was the type to keep many secrets.
“Come, my dear, let’s get you some fresh air.  Perhaps you’ve been inside too long,” Aro motioned for me to go forward, not once giving me a chance to refute his offer.  But at the same time, I rather agreed with his decision.  I have been kept cooped up to long, inside a stuffy old castle.  Perhaps a moment to breathe some real air would be beneficial to my brain.
Stepping out into the sun, I immediately sighed in relief as the light hit my skin.  My eyes fluttered closed in bliss, breathing in the air that had an odd sickly sweet scent.  It was only when I opened my eyes did I realize that the reason for the scent was the garden I was being escorted too.  The amount of colors was nearly overwhelming yet calming, bright and full blooms all around.  I was rather grateful now for the hat because the sunlight would have truly overpowered my senses.  But even then, nothing compared to the sight that came next when I turned toward Aro.
I froze, openly staring at the man beside me.  I had thought the sunlight was the brightest light around but it was nothing compared to the glow coming from Aro.  I mean, vampires sparkled in the light.  They didn’t burst into flames like the common myths and with Edward, I had a habit of asking him if he showered in body glitter.  But Aro… body glitter was not the term to use.  It was as if the sparkles were more refined, as if there was a dusting of tiny diamonds on his skin.
I was fascinated as well. There was no way to deny that as I reached out, fingertips lightly caressing his cheeks down to his jawline. The contrast of what you would assume to be a bumpy surface to the actual smooth skin really messed with you. Even the shadow of my hand seemed to gain my attention, how it dulled the shine.  It was just so fascinating, so many questions…
My fingers paused over his lips, eyes frozen as I noticed the smile that curved them.  It was only then did I allow them to break from the stare, slowly matching the eyes of the true ruler of the Volturi.  Though the three shared power, Aro was the one who truly wielded it.  Even though he really didn’t need that much power, it added to his appeal as a man. And I could only imagine the secrets he held, the thoughts he has read and the history he knew.
“You have a lifetime, my love, to learn all I know,” Aro whispered to me, his teeth suddenly latching onto the tip of my finger.  I gasped, eyes growing wide as I realized what Aro had said.  I wondered if I spoke aloud as Aro suddenly lead me to a gazebo. I was taken aback by what awaited me. There was a buffet of sorts awaiting me, multiple pasties and fruits decorating a serving table.  I found myself at a loss for words as I noticed that a lot of the foods were my favorites.  And it only seemed to solidify my suspicions.
“But my gift… how did you…” my words faded as I turned to Aro, the obvious question dancing in my eyes. Aro chuckled lowly, sitting on the outdoor couch that was nearby.  The gazebo literally looked like an outdoor living room and it was slowly becoming my most favorite place in the whole castle.
“It would seem, my darling, that your gift fluctuates,” Aro started, a devilish glint in his eyes.  “I noticed it last night when I collected you for dinner.  My touch flooded me with all your thoughts, as if a part of you wished for me to know.”
“So all of this… you did this?”
“Why of course, my love. Why would I not?” Aro tilted his head, his face devoid of any emotion except that of joy.  Which was slowly beginning to unnerve me.  Did he not have any other emotion except being sickly sweet?
“Come now dear.  Let’s relax and enjoy the weather.  No duties, no stuffy dark rooms,” a smile stretched his lips, amusement dancing in those devilish eyes.  He was playing with my desires, knowing that I had secretly been complaining about being locked up in the castle.  My time with the Cullens never seemed like I was trapped.  Their home was always so open and airy.  The Volturis’ was dark and stuffy…
“Okay!” I clapped my hands, having made up my mind.  He was right. I should just enjoy this little moment. Even if Aro was giving me a knowing smirk, telling me that he knew about my doubts.  But right now, I wasn’t going to dwell on it because all that food was beginning to look delicious!
~XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX~
My head in his lap and my mouth wide open, I was desperately trying not to laugh as Aro held a grape high above his head.  We had spent hours it seemed out here, ignoring everyone that tried to come and crash the little party.  Even Bella came to visit once but was quick to leave when she noticed that I was laying with my head in Aro’s lap, like now, and Aro was feeding me.  She was embarrassed by what she saw, but I didn’t care.  I was relaxed and happy for once.
Aro released the grape, it landing in my mouth.  I quickly squealed in excitement, clapping my hands before I turned into a fit of giggles. Aro chuckled at me, his fingers quickly running through my hair as we just sat in comfortable silence.  And we did remain that way.  Silent the entire time.  But it was as if I didn’t need to say a word, Aro picking up on nearly everything I wanted.  He was even the one to instigate me laying across the couch, using his lap as a pillow. Plus, his body was ice cold. Which helped balance the heat of day. So yeah, I definitely wasn’t uncomfortable or even worried.  It was a really nice reprieve actually.
“Oh, I don’t want this day to end,” I stretched, raising my arms up high before going fully limp again in his lap.  I heard Aro chuckle, his fingers still combing through my hair.  It would seem he agreed with me, for he didn’t stop the movement of his fingers.
“Would you wish to remain only with me then, mia amore?” Aro asked, one of his cheeky grins on his face.  I scoffed at the idea, sitting up immediately.  Of course he would try to inflate his own ego. Tell the others that I wanted him more than them.  Cheeky bastard.
“Of course not.  Caius and Marcus are apart of this deal, are they not?” I turned to face him, bringing my legs up to curl under me.  He really didn’t think this whole thing through but I could tell he was amused by my outburst.  Even I was surprised by my eagerness to debate and prove him wrong.
“Of course they are, Alessandra.  But surely I am the better of the two,” Aro was baiting me, testing my reaction to his words.  And I didn’t disappoint, immediately hatching a plan in my head to goat him as well.  I needed to understand Aro’s needs.  How far he would take things.  Test the boundaries, so to speak.  Caius was not patient and highly sexual, that much I knew. Marcus was very slow and gentle, willing to wait for me to make a move.  Aro… he was the mystery.  And I needed to bait him in return.
“I don’t know.  Caius is an expert kisser,” I started, keeping my expression blank.  I could see Aro heisitate at my words, meeting my gaze as I continued, “Marcus would be a pleaser.  Slow and deliberate, ensuring that I was enjoying my time with him.  Probably with anything I desired.”
“And where does that leave me?” Aro kept the smile on his face but I could see straight through him. He probably never had to fight for affection so this was bothering him.  They may be able to share me but that didn’t mean it would be easy.  And I think Aro, through all the façade, was struggling with sharing the most.
“I don’t know.  I have the vampire with the experience with things wild, the caretaker who would make me happy… I’m not sure where you fit,” I teased openly.  Aro didn’t seem to like my answer as his hands landed on my hips, effectively moving me to straddle his lap.  I bit my tongue, hiding the laugh that threatened to bubble out.
“Do you think I would be unable to please you in any way, darling?” I heard the growl, felt lips ghost over my throat to my ear.  I sighed, letting my head fall back in order to give him better access.  And I was rather surprised that it didn’t take long to push him.  But I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew what I was doing from the beginning.  Aro did enjoy his games.
“I never said you couldn’t,” I gasped as his teeth scraped at my pulse, his tongue darting out to taste my flesh.  I quickly cupped his face with my hands, stopping him from continuing to tease me. At least until he took over, quickly sealing his lips with mine.  My brain immediately stopped functioning, my body pushing closer to him.  I could feel his answering growl in his chest, feel it reverberating in my chest.  It wasn’t until I needed to breathe did I finally lean away from him, gasping for air.  At least until I realized we were out in the open and I really didn’t want anyone to see us like this, even if Aro was trying to distract me from it.
“You said you could read me yes?” I tried to lower the tension, distract us both from what we were doing.  Seriously, I was making out with the head leader of the Volturi.  I really needed to cool my head, not let them cloud my mind. But I was slipping to the dark side. No doubt about that.
“Your gift fluctuates but essentially, yes, I can,” Aro groaned against my throat, his hands traveling up my back before coming to halt.  He was trying to hold back.  It was obvious.
“Then perhaps that is who you are,” I whispered, stilling my body against his.  The only thing moving was my chest, my breathing slowing back to a normal pace.
“You’re my reader. You read my thoughts, know the secrets I am too afraid to tell anyone.  I can trust you, tell you what’s bothering me, and not struggle with verbal words. So perhaps, you Aro, are my greatest comfort.”
“Such a poet,” Aro smiled, obviously pleased with my words.  But it was true.  I wouldn’t have to worry about telling anyone what is wrong.  Aro could find that out and quickly correct whatever it was that I was struggling with.  It was also difficult to explain sometimes too, my anxiety getting the best of me. And that was a true comfort.
“Though, you never mentioned what type of lover I would be,” again he teased, still holding me close in his lap.  I just giggled, giving him a sweet kiss before sliding off him.
“Perhaps you need to wait and see if I ever decide what you’ll be,” I laughed at his disappointed face. But it didn’t take long before I regretted that decision, squealing when Aro decided to chase me.  Though I did not mind being chased at all.  I wasn’t in danger and honestly, I was having too much fun to care.
Perhaps I was beginning to accept this bond.  And for once, I was happy with that.  Truly happy.

Hello can I make a fic request (preferably angst) about juminxmc when they are dating but later on they knew that they are actually siblings? (same father different mother). You can make it SFW/NSFW. I read your rules and you didn't mind incest. Thank you~ I love your writing
This is hands down myfavourite fucking prompt so far. Like legit right up my alley. Maybeif I hadn’t stumbled upon Anime’s like ‘I’m in love with my youngersister’ at an impressionable age I wouldn’t be so pumped – read:fucked in the head – about this prompt. But, lucky for you Itotally did watch and adore that and many similar Animes, so this isgoing to be good!
I had so many ideas Icould have easily written like a 50k fic, but since I don’t want toinvolve AO3 and Tumblr definitely isn’t the place to publish longstuff, I had to once more limit myself to a more washed out versionof the mess I had planned. Sorry? Or maybe you’re welcome? Who willever know!
I also want to say that inno shape or form do I approve of incest in real life. This is fictionand is not meant to be taken to real life. However, as per usual, Idid my research. There is a condition called Genetic SexualAttraction, which is what I will use as a base for this fic. You’lllearn more about it along with Jumin and his half-sister/wife.
Hope you enjoy! :3

It was the last night oftheir honeymoon, Jumin and his wife lying in bed together. Both ofthem were naked, a tangled mess of limbs under the silk cover huggingtheir bodies. His arm was wrapped around her protectively, fingerstracing over the faint dots scattered over Madeleines back. It wasone of the many, small things that Jumin loved about her, that madeher unique. He’d never thought he’d ever feel that kind of love forany person and yet here he was, holding his wife in his arms aftermaking love yet again, mesmerized by something as simple as freckles.
Madeleine who’d fallenasleep a couple of minutes ago stirred, lids moving before flutteringopen slowly. She hummed in appreciation, tilting up her head to pressa kiss to Jumin’s chin. Jumin chuckled, knowing that she would haveaimed for the mouth, but went for the chin out of convenience, beingtoo sated and lazy to move. “I can feel you thinking, darling”,she mumbled. She began drawing patterns on his chest, mindlesslytrailing her fingers over his warm skin. Jumin hummed. “You say itlike it’s a bad thing.”
Madeleine shook her head, shruggingslightly. “Not necessarily. I love how smart you are, but this isour honeymoon and we just had sex for God knows what time and you’restill thinking. If it is something that important…it makes menervous.” Jumin sat up a little, pulling Madeleine along and intohis arms. She now sat between his legs, arms wrapped around her frombehind as Jumin’s chin rested on her shoulder. “It’s nothing bad, darling”, he assured her. “I was just looking forward to youfinally meeting my father upon returning.”
She sighed, saggingagainst her husband. “I knew you would say this”, she spokeagainst his skin, hiding her face in the crock of his neck. Juminfrowned, hand brushing through the bright red strands of her hair.“You sound rather unhappy about it. Is there something wrong withmy father?” Madeleine quickly sat up, shaking her head. “No, mylove, you misunderstand. It’s not your father, it’s me. I’m worriedhe might not like me. Especially considering that you swiped me offand married me without asking her permission or so much as anintroduction.”
To his surprise, Jumin found himselflaughing. It was a feature he was rekindling with after so many yearsof not having done it whole heartedly. To think that the one personwho awoke him, who filled his life with joy he hadn’t experiencessince childhood, would doubt herself so much was strangely amusing tothe businessman. “Madeleine, he will love you”, Jumin assuredher, punctuating every word with a kiss to her porcelain skin. “Hewill love you. Trust me on this. In fact, I have never been morecertain about anything in my life.
For their first meetingJumin and Madeleine had decided to invite Mr. Han to the apartment. It was where she felt most at peace, so did Jumin, on top of being amore private setting for a private meeting. Madeleine had suggestedto cook something for the whole thing, but Jumin had quickly shutdown the idea. Not because she was a bad cook, but because she wasstressed out enough as it was and cooking certainly wouldn’t help herrelax. Instead he’d called the chef’s to take care of it, telling hiswife to take a long, hot bath and relax.
By the time shestepped out of the bathroom Madeleine looked positively divine. Thedress she had chosen was chic while not being too attentiondemanding. It was was casual, the dark purple of it perfectlycomplimenting her green eyes. Her ginger curls well around hershoulders freely and her face was almost completely blank of make-up.Frankly, it was the most beautiful that way. Jumin told her as much, making her giggle and blush, earning him a quick peck to the cheek.“Oh you flatter me too much, darling.”A couple of minuteslater the security guard knocked and stepped in to alert the couplethat Mr. Chairman had arrived and asked for permission to enter.Jumin obviously granted it, happy that the guards did their job asthoroughly as they did. To say no to the CEO of C&R Internationalproved their loyalty to Jumin. The door was finally opened andJumin’s father stepped inside, smiling and thanking the guard forholding the door open. Jumin wrapped an arm around Madeleine and leadher into view only for his father to freeze, eyes wide as he gasped,“Elizabeth?”
The young woman blinked inconfusion before frowning slightly. “How do you know my mother?”It was obvious to Madeleine that Mr. Han was talking about hermother, as she looked almost exactly like her. The woman’s genes weresurprisingly dominant considering that green eyes and red hair wereusually recessive and rarely passed on. However, other than the everso slightly different shape of eyes, Madeleine had always been aperfect copy of her mother. Being confused with her was nothing newto the lawyer. Being confused for her mother by Mr. Han, however, made no sense.
The CEO paled at herquestion, chest rising and falling rapidly like he was pantinghimself into some sort of panic attack. His hand came to rest overhis mouth in obvious shock before he went on to nervously brushthrough his hair. “Oh God”, he whispered. “Oh God, this isn’tokay.” Jumin and Madeleine exchanged looks, confused at the mansweird behaviour. “Mr. Han, Sir, is everything alright? I didn’tmean to upset you. Is there any way we can help you”, Madeleineattempted to soothe her father in law.
Mr. Han looked at her, eyes filled with guilt and something akin to disgust. “Maddy”, hesaid, voice so soft and kind it made the woman’s heart ache in waysshe couldn’t fully understand. Why did she feel this way? Why didthat voice sound so familiar. “Your father and I, we went toCollege together”, he continued, choosing English over Korean. “Wewere best friends by the time he met your mother and proposed to her.I really loved your father, but when he first started hisbusiness…he abandoned your mother and me to focus onwork.”
Madeleine listened, her body recoiling before hermind seemed to catch on where this was going. “Your mother and I,we became closer. She was his wife and yet he didn’t take care of herthe way a husband should. She felt lonely and unsatisfied. So did I.One thing led to another and the two of us, well we shared apassionate night together”, he explained, pausing when Madeleinegasped. She couldn’t believe her mother had cheated on her fatherwith Mr. Han. Little did she know, that cheating wasn’t the biggestissue here.
“The both of us felt guilty, so we told yourfather about it. He was furious, rightly so, and decided to cut allties with me for many, many years. Your mother wasn’t allowed toconverse with me either and for the better part she didn’t. In allthose years I only ever got a single letter from her. In that lettershe explained that our night had led to her birthing a child ninemonths later, a child that I had no right to see but deserved to knowwas mine. A child that her husband would raise as his own, despite itbeing living, breathing proof of infidelity. A little daughter namedMaddy.”
Madeleine had lockedherself into the bathroom, sitting on the toilet with her face buriedin her hands, tears running down her cheeks silently. After Mr. Han’sconfession she’d completely broken down, running off before anyonecould see her that way. Her husband’s – and possibly her own –father had left multiple hours ago and yet she hadn’t moved from herseat on the toilet. Jumin had knocked multiple times, attempting toget her out so they could talk, but she hadn’t been in the rightstate of mind to reply to him any of those times.
Multiple times she’dconsidered calling her mother, asking whether what Mr. Han had saidwas true or not, but had never gone through with her plan. Somethingdeep down inside of her knew that the man wasn’t lying and what heavyconsequences the truth bore. It was simply too much for the poorwoman to take in, dark thoughts clouding her mind. Her loving fathersuddenly a complete stranger. The mother she’d looked up to a weakcheat, a complete stranger suddenly her father but most disturbing ofall, her beloved husband suddenly her brother.
It was in the middle ofthe night that Madeleine finally resurfaced from the bathroom, walking into the bedroom where Jumin still lay awake. He’d waited forher, his own mind running a mile a minute. However, upon turningaround in bed to pull his wife into his arms he was met with her backand a cold shoulder. When attempting to rest a hand on her shoulder, seeking warmth or at least a conversation, she pleaded for him not totouch her. Feeling as if he’d been burned Jumin instantly pulledaway, listening to his wife silently cry herself to sleep for hours.
A week later Jumin woke inthe middle of the night due to sounds that weren’t supposed to bethere. The past week had been hard, deprived of love and the warmthcoming with it. Madeleine had been silent, barely speaking to herhusband no matter how many times Jumin attempted to approach herabout the topic. She didn’t go to work either, didn’t pick up anycalls or even went to the RFA members for some sort of socialinteraction. Yet, the pain he’d felt throughout the week was nothingcompared to the pain of watching Madeleine silently packing herthings.
He instantly shot up from bed, running towards her tostop her form putting any more clothes away. She began to scream, tears already having strained her skin, red blotches tinting it. Shetried to push him away, beat at him. “Let me go! Let me go, Jumin.Let me go”, she half screamed half pleaded, voice breaking. Jumincouldn’t bring himself to, instead slinging his arms around herslender frame, holding her as close to his body as human possible. “Ican't”, he cried, first tears running down his cheek. “I can’tlose you. Please…”
Madeleine sagged in hisarms, body shaking against her husbands. In all the time they’d beentogether she’d never once heard him plead, let alone seen him cry.She turned her head to look at Jumin who’d hugged her from behind.Instead, she found herself being turned around and pulled into analmost violent kiss. At first Madeleine attempted to resist –mostly out of guilt rather than disgust or anything else – but soongave in to her husbands advances. She wrapped her arms around hisneck, melting into the kiss as he claimed her mouth.
Eventhrough the layers of clothes between them she could feel his erectcock pressing up against her, peaking her interest. While kissing herJumin slowly guided her backwards until Madeleine fell onto the bed.Eyes half lidded she watched as her husband unbuckled his belt totoss it to the side, unbuttoning his shirt and letting it glide ofhis strong shoulders before pulling down his pants and freeing hiserection. Madeleine licked her lips, hands coming to rest on hisabdomen, feeling the muscle under her fingers. The smile thatcurled around Jumin’s lips was almost predatory as he guided her headto his cock where Madeleine happily wrapped her lips around the manscock, not minding one bit that he was her brother. She sucked at histip at first, the man hissing at the sudden pleasure shooting throughhis body. She than began to take Jumin deeper and deeper, burying hiscock in her mouth inch by inch with every bob of her head untilfinally his cock hit the back of her throat. For a moment she chokedaround her husbands cock, but didn’t pull back.
“Such a good girl”,Jumin praised her, a hot shower running down her back. He brushedthrough her hair gently, causing Madeleine to moan before he startedto rock his hips, fucking into her mouth as the woman happily tookit. The sounds of pleasure she caused to fall from her husbands lipsturned her own, hips involuntarily rolling against the bed indesperate search for friction. She could feel the wetness spreadbetween her legs, arousal overwhelming her as pleasured Jumin. Henoticed of course, delightfully watching his wife grind against thebed.
“Do you want me to take you”, he asked, their eyesmeeting with her lips still wrapped around his shaft. “Want me totake care of your need?” Madeleine hummed around the others cock, vibrations sending spark of arousal up his length. Jumin abruptlypulled out, pushing Madeleine into a lying position before climbingbetween her legs. He pushed up her night gown, pleased as per usualthat she wore nothing underneath. He spread her legs, took his cockin hand and brushed the tip against her opening, delighted at thewetness that greeted him there.
When he pushed in it wasin one long, thrust, causing both of them to moan out. Jumin thenbent over his wife, pinning her wrists above her head to bask in thebeauty that was her long, slender body completely bared to him.“You’re breathtaking”, he whispered against her lips beforepulling out and thrusting in, setting a quick but steady pace. Theroom was silent other than the sounds of colliding skin and muffledgasps and moans as well as the wet sounds of Jumin’s cock plunginginto his wives wet cunt.
It didn’t take long foreither to reach their peak. Madeleine was the first to come, mouthwrapped around her erect nipple as his free hand played with herclit. She tightened further around his cock, jumping within her asJumin came close to orgasm himself. He reached his peak a mere minutelater, coming inside his wife. When he pulled out gently his hot comedripped out of her. He watched as much with a new kind of pleasurebefore his body was overwhelmed with fatigue and he fell onto themattress, pulling Madeleine into his arms before both drifted tosleep.
“Madeleine, you haven’teaten all day”, Jumin spoke gently, kissing his wives temple as helooked over her shoulder at what she was typing up on her laptop. Amonth had passed since their night together. They’d decided to remaina couple, however risky that might be. Jumin’s father was against it,but the younger Han had argued that he would not lose the love of hislife for his father’s foolish mistake over two and a half decadesago. He refused to listen to any reason, willing to risk both hiscareer as well as freedom to be with Madeleine.
The woman turned around, looking up at her husband. “Genetic Sexual Attraction”, she said, leaving Jumin frowning at her in confusion. “Genetic SexualAttraction”, Madeleine repeated. “That is why we are sexuallyattracted to one another despite – well you know.” She turnedback to her laptop and opened up various sides. It was obvious, thatMadeleine had done a lot of research on the matter, almostobsessively so. Jumin hadn’t cared much, but he could tell that guiltwas eating at his wife, so he hadn’t stopped her from seekinganswers.
“It says that geneticsexual attraction is a condition in which people related to butseparated from one another early on often feel sexually attracted toone another upon reuniting; known or unbeknownst that they arerelated”, she explained. “Because we are related we smell andfeel very similar, which created a feeling of familiarity and safetyright away. On top of that people hypothesised that when familieslive closely together, they become desensitised to each other assexual prospects. That desensitisation effect is said to happenbetween birth and age six.”
Jumin listened carefully, taking in the information given. He himself didn’t mind either way.Whatever the reason for their attraction for one another, a love aspure and unconditional as theirs could be no wrong or sin. However,he did understand his wives need for answers and some way to justifywhat she still considered immoral and sick. It hurt to know thatMadeleine thought that way about their love, but Jumin was set onconvincing her otherwise, no matter what it took. “I see”, hesaid. “Well, this proves that us being together is nothing unusualnor unnatural, is it now?”
Madeleine huffed. “Jumin”,she scolded. “That is not what I was trying to say. Just because wearen’t alone with our case doesn’t make it any less wrong.” Juminclosed his eyes, swallowing the lump in his throat. “I won’t allowyou to leave me, Madeleine. Not over this. I’ve lost my mother, mystep-mother, Rika and my best friend. Everyone who ever even remotelymatter. I won’t lose you. I won't”, he insisted. “How is our loveany less real than anybody else’s anyway?”
Strangely enough,Madeleine didn’t have a good response. Their love wasn’t any lessreal, despite the forbidden aspect of it. If anything their love feltlike the realest thing in her life, which made it all the morecomplicated and draining. If they remained together a big part oftheir life had to be kept secret from anyone involved. “Please, don’t leave me, darling.” Madeleine looked up at her husband, reaching out to cup his face. “I won't”, she replied, smiling atJumin despite the crushing weight in her chest. Why was the forbiddenfruit always the sweetest?
When Madeleine came out ofthe bathroom her red curls were a mess, her face was pale and shelooked like she’d just seen a ghost. Two months had passed sinceshe’d given up on her search for answers, instead giving in to herhusband and the bond they shared. He’d convinced her that theyweren’t harming anyone and so far that had been true. The two of themwere happy and no one had suffered from their relationship, as no oneknew of it’s illegal nature. Madeleine had found solace in the factthat no one was harmed but them, until that morning.
“I’mpregnant”, she announced, voicing the fact making her entire bodyfill with dread. Apparently she was alone in that, however, as Jumininstantly jumped up from where he’d been perched on the bed, beamingfrom ear to ear as he approached his wife. He wrapped his arms aroundher and held her protectively, kissing all over her face and the topof her head before going to his knees and pressing a kiss to herstomach. “We’re going to be parents”, he said, cupping herstomach in awe. “Jumin, this is nothing to rejoice about!”Juminlooked up then, smile immediately replaced by confusion and hurt.“Don’t look at me like that”, Madeleine begged, taking a stepback so he was no longer touching her. “I accepted us, because ourrelationship was something that concerned only the two of us. Now wepulled another human being into this, though, and things change. Thebaby could be born severely damaged, Jumin. I don’t know how you canbe so happy about this! We share 25% of our DNA which means there isa 25% change for this child to be retarded in one way or another.”
Jumin stood up then, attempting to reach out for Madeleine only for his hands to beslapped away. His hurt melted away instantly, instead his neutralmask found its way back onto his face. It probably hurt Madeleinemore to see him that way than it would have to see him cry. It meantshe had caused him to feel unsure and insecure enough around her, tohide his feelings like he’d gotten used to over the years. She feltrotten, but she couldn’t back down. No matter how much the emptinessbehind his eyes killed her in that moment.
“I’ll make surethat it won’t happen. I’ll pay any sum necessary.”“That’snot the point, Jumin! Money won’t cancel out the fact that the genepool is too small for the child to have a good chance of beinghealthy”, Madeleine replied, more and more upset.
“This is our child,Madeleine. Why are you talking about it like it’s something bad? Wewanted to have kids, didn’t we?”
“Yes, but not like this! This child is an abomination. This goes beyond morality or law,Jumin. It would be inhumanly unfair to give birth to it…”“Sowhat should we do? Get rid of it”, Jumin snapped in reply, aggravated for the first time.
“It’s an option, yes”,Madeleine replied quietly, stunning her husband into silence. To himthis child was a blessing. It would be living, breathing proof oftheir love once born. It would be their little baby, half of thewoman he loved and half of him. How his wife could even consideraborting it, especially after they’d talked about having children assoon as possible, completely excited at the prospect, baffled theCEO. He was so blinded by the love and devotion he felt for his wifeand family that all reason had left him, leaving Jumin an irrationalmess.
“How could you say that”, Jumin whispered, voicecracking as he stared at his wife in terror. “What other option dowe have”, Madeleine snapped in response, losing her calm. She wasalmost three months in and soon it would be too late to get rid ofthe child if they so decided. “Keep it, raise it and love it nomatter what”, Jumin instantly replied. Once more he walked towardshis wife, resting both his hands on her yet flat stomach, closing hiseyes and smiling at the idea of it swelling with the life inside ofher. “That is not an option we can make as easily as othercouples, Jumin. We can’t even go to doctors, because they couldfigure out that you’re not only the babies father, but also it’suncle. People would ask questions. Not to mention what we’ll have toput the child through when it possibly asks questions. Must be niceto know that your parents are siblings”, Madeleine replied, drainedat this point. It was obvious that Jumin wasn’t listening and itwasn’t like she hadn’t wanted a child with her husband. She justdidn’t want it this way.“I’ll pay someone off then, makethem sign a non-disclosure agreement before testing our child’shealth”, Jumin replied, looking at his wife with hope shining inhis eyes. “We can be parents like we always wanted to, Madeleine.Whatever life might throw at us, we’ll handle it just as long as westick together. You and me forever, remember? Thick and thin?”Madeleine wanted to argue, but there was not a bit of energy left toher. Especially when Jumin wrapped his arms around her protectively, brushing his fingers through her hair and lulling her to safety.
Madeleine miscarried mereweeks later. They’s just announced their pregnancy to the RFAmembers, as they’d passed the ‘safe’ mark of three months. Everyonehad been so ecstatic. After weeks of fights and discussions and Juminhaving talked her over Madeleine was still sceptic but happy. Thatwas until life took matters into its hands. The exact reasons wereunclear, but she herself assumed it was a mix of bad genes, a bodytoo weak to carry the child, the horrible stress she’d been throughover the past couple of months and a little bit of fate fucking herover once again.
That morning the youngwoman woke up to cramps and pain in her abdomen. However, seeing asshe was close to four months pregnant and cramps weren’t thatuncommon, Madeleine didn’t worry. She told Jumin who made sure shewas tugged in with a heating pack, a bunch of sweets and water withinreach and their workers on call. Nothing was to happen to his belovedwife. He asked whether she wanted him to stay at home with her, butMadeleine insisted that it was only half bad and that she’d be fine, sending her husband off with a tired smile.
The pain started to growworse over the course of the day, however, especially when Madeleinemoved anywhere out of bed. She attempted to calm herself, assuringherself over and over that everything would be fine. It had to be.Sadly, it wasn’t. The cramps got worse and worse, even upon takingwhat was supposed to be warm and relaxing bath. That is untilMadeleine opened her eyes to another, agonizing cramp only to findherself floating in her own blood. Madeleine screamed and scrambledout of the bathtub, tripping and falling in her desperate attempt toflee.
When the guards camerushing in, alarmed by the screams, Madeleine lay on the floorunconscious but still alive. They instantly wrapped her up in abathrobe and called an ambulance as quickly as human possible beforecontacting Jumin himself. Despite rushing he didn’t make it in timeto see his wife before operation. Upon asking doctors what hadhappened they explained that Madeleine had suffered from a prettyharsh miscarriage. As there was still fetal tissue inside her, theyhad to operate or otherwise she’d possibly die from infection.
It felt like an eternityuntil finally Madeleine was pushed out of the operating room. She wasasleep, but from the fact that her face wasn’t covered Jumin knew shewas still alive, sighing in relief. He watched her being wheeled intothe private room he paid the hospital for. Jumin wasn’t immediatelyallowed to enter, the doctors explaining that she needed a lot ofrest. Not only had she just lost a child but also a lot of blood. They told him to leave for the day, gather his wits and come to seehis wife the next morning when she was a little more stable.
Reluctantly Jumin left.Home alone the businessman found himself incapable of relaxing norable to focus on work. Whatever he tried to do to distract himselffrom the harsh reality, his mind remained riddled with agonizing fearand pain. At this point in time the young man was surprised that hewas still capable of such intense emotions. After all the losses he’dcounted over the years Jumin had thought of himself as immune to anypain. He was wrong. Very wrong. The night was spend rest – andsleepless, nervousness and guilt eating away at the man as he drownedhis worries in wine.
When the next morning cameJumin rushed to the hospital once more, eager to see his wife. Hishair was a wet mess, dark circles under his eyes ageing his face andhis clothes the same as the night before, only more crumpled and outof place. It didn’t matter, not in that moment. Jumin only worriedfor Madeleine and what state he would find her in, his sanitydecreasing by the minute. While his state was to no surprise it wasmerely a metaphor for the path his life was taking. He was losingcontrol of things and this was only the beginning.
This time, upon enteringthe hospital, Jumin was allowed to go through. Madeleine was awake, sitting upright in her bed and staring outside the window. The youngman could have cried tears of joy in that moment, happy to see heralive and breathing. However, Jumin’s body was soon overwhelmed withdread as – upon gently touching her shoulder – Madeleine merelyturned her head to him without further reaction. She didn’t speak.Didn’t reach out for his hand or even slap it away. She didn’t move, smile or scream. Nothing.
Her eyes looked empty, like she wasaware of someone’s presence, but couldn’t make anything of it.Whatever Jumin said, no reply ever came. He was about to break downwhen suddenly the door opened behind him and he snapped around. “Whathappened to her”, he shouted, hands balling to fists. “What didyou do to her?” The doctor raised his hands, attempting to calmJumin down. “I am sorry, Mr. Han, but there is nothing we couldhave done. In fact, no one could have prevented this from happening,as it has nothing to do with her physical condition.”Theman went on to explain that Madeleine was catatonic; a state in whichshe appeared to be in a daze or stupor, completely unresponsive tothe world. They couldn’t exactly pinpoint the reason for falling intosuch a state – it would be anything from PTSD, depression or aninfection due to her miscarriage – but there was very little theycould do, as Madeleine didn’t seem to react to the meds given to her.If she ever came out of that state, it was something that the youngwoman had to do on her own. The shock had simply been too much.Fora moment Jumin stood completely still, face almost as empty as hiseyes, before something inside of him snapped. He gripped his wivesshoulders and desperately began to shake her, tears streaming downhis face. “You promised! You promised you wouldn’t leave! Now comeback to me. Come back at once”, he shouted at his wife. “Youcan’t leave me too, Madeleine. Not you. I lost everyone. I losteveryone and our child and now I’m losing you? No! No, I won’t letthat happen! Wake up, Madeleine. Wake up for fucks sake. Not you!”
Jumin had to be draggedout of the room, visitation rights taken from him for the time being. Not that he would have come either way. He couldn’t bring himself to.Instead Jumin coped the only way he knew how; by drowning himself inanything but his pain. He worked like an animal, cutting Jaehee’shours in half by taking over all the tasks he would have given toher, usually. He worked out excessively, no longer satisfied withonly playing golf. Instead he used the treadmill for hours at thetime amongst other things. He barely ate but drank a lot, barelyslept and yet never left the house.
Months passed without himso much as glancing at his phone, ignoring the RFA, the members andeven the chat. It was on one particularly lonely night that Juminmade the mistake of looking through some of the chats. They’ddiscussed Madeleine for weeks, everyone angry that Jumin didn’t seemto care, calling him every name in the book. For a while Jaehee andYoosung had actually attempted to defend him against the rest, butsoon gave up on their friend as well. Zen was especially made, disgusted by Jumin like he’d never been before. He couldn’t blame theactor.
“He’s a pathetic piece of shit! His wife just lost ababy and felt so depressed that she went catatonic and instead ofbeing with her, attempting to somehow get her back by talking to herhe just goes about life like nothing happened! He’s disgusting”,Zen wrote in one of the chats. “Just kick him out of the group. He’s become useless anyway. All he cares for is himself and his ownneeds. If he can’t care for his wife, how could he care for anorganization.” It wasn’t until he read a recent message about‘being glad he’s gone’ that Jumin realized Zen was right.
He had become useless.Jumin had failed his father, his wife, his child and even his friendsand the organization he’d dedicated a big part of his life to. Foodand wine had lost their taste. The bed had lost its comfort withouthis beloved Madeleine to share it with. He’d given up Elizabeth the3rd, not even sure whom the security guards had given herto. Sleep was harsh if it came at all and the world had grown darkwhere it once had shone bright. There was nothing to live for soJumin decided to make one last selfless decision: rid the world of auseless man.

The Society of Multiples, chapter 4
Second draft of my story about an alternate world where almost everybody is multiple. If you read it, you agree to leave at least two words in response. Constructive criticism welcome.
Okay- I will probably need help with upcoming chapters, because (sorry, tiny Spoiler) there is a romantic interest and I’m pretty much entirely aro/ace. Please point out when things are cheesy/unrealistic/unconvincing/etc.
(Chapter 1)
(Chapter 2)
(Chapter 3)
If you want to be @ mentioned when I post a chapter, let me know. Also, if it helps, all posts will be tagged with #thesocietyofmultiples

Chapter 4
I stayed with Eris and Kane for a few days while my faces seemed to be on every channel and website. The three of us had made a quick and careful trip to my old apartment to pick up my things, but when we discovered the door unlocked and some of my things upturned, we quickly left empty-handed. I was pretty shaken by this- I was supposedly the hero, not the villain here. Why would anyone do that? What would they gain? Eris and Kane had no easy explanations.
On the drive home, we tried to reason through what we saw.
“Sometimes we wonder whether there is some sort of military or government interest in finding us and rounding us up,” Kane said bleakly. I keep trying to tell myself that it’s paranoia. But maybe it isn’t.”
“Or maybe it’s one of those creepy fetishists,” Eris added, rolling her eyes. “We know they exist. They come looking for us, and they claim to be allies, but you need to be very careful.”
“But nobody knows I’m singlet- how could they?”
Kane sighed. “You’re a completely unregistered system. That makes people suspicious.”
“Suspicious enough to search my apartment?”
Neither of them had an answer.
When we made it back to Eris and Kane’s apartment, we dropped our empty duffle bags on the coffee table and sat around wordlessly for a few minutes. Kane went off to the kitchen to make tea.
“It’s not a big deal really,” I said with a shrug. “The things in my apartment don’t really matter anyways. They were really Jan’s and Eron’s and Tigh’s. I can’t use any of those fakes now. I’m going to have to cut all ties to my past lives completely and start over.”
Eris caught Kane’s eye, and he nodded. “We can help. We’ve been saving some money for emergencies- not a lot, but enough that if anyone in our circle of singlets needed to get out  of a bad situation, we would use that money to help. It’s enough for some new clothes, new makeup, new apartment, that kind of thing. There’s other help we can offer, too.”
“Including introducing you to the rest of your community,” Kane added. “Tomorrow night we’re having a meeting. There’s some generous people there who would love to help out a new friend in need. We look out for each other.”
I was nervous, but also excited. I barely slept that night- not just because of the strange, uncomfortable futon in their apartment. I felt like I had gone from drifting alone in the ocean to finally hitting land. My life was suddenly full of faceless dangers, but I’d never felt more safe.
The next afternoon, Kane took me aside and set me up with hair and makeup. In order to take me outside unrecognized, some extra disguise would be necessary, and he was especially skilled. For years he’d pulled off a mix of male and female identities that were thoroughly convincing; Eris was skilled too, but Kane could create very impressive illusions that could have earned him a profession in cosmetics. He confessed he’d always been worried about drawing too much attention. As he went to town on my new appearance, we invented my first new fake identity: skin tone a few shades darker from mine, hair dark brown with a red tint. Dark brown eyes. Thin, very straight nose. I looked masculine, but with a relaxed, almost feminine beauty. It was totally unlike any look I’d ever tried before, which was the point. As the makeup went on we worked out a the basics of this identity- Jonas, age 17, calm and demure and also a bit aloof; very attractive, but with limited sexual interest.
“Good job, gentlemen” Eris said beaming, emerging from the switchroom in a plain loose shirt and ripped jeans. She’d put on some vibrant punk-rock makeup and lightened her hair with tinted hairspray, which was holding it up into an interesting wave.
I felt a knot in my stomach. “Doesn’t all of this… kind of draw attention to ourselves? I’ve always tried to look as plain as possible. I don’t want to get noticed.”
“That’s the point, though. Everybody is trying to draw attention to themselves, express themselves as strongly as possible. If you try to look too plain you stick out like a sore thumb.” She slipped on some shiny jangly bracelets. “if you look like you’re trying not to be seen, you’ll look like you’re hiding something.” She looked in the mirror. “There. Looks good, right? Sometimes this is fun. When we’re out of the house, call me “Mary.” She’s the one who dresses like this. Bit of a 80’s party girl.”
“You sound like you’re actually enjoying this,” I said in disbelief.
She shrugged. “It’s something we have to do. Since we don’t really have any choice, why not have a little fun with it?”
This week’s meeting was at the home of Nora, publically known as Tim, Dianne, Dora, and Grace. She was older, tall, and gave a first impression as stern and untrusting. At her apartment door, she looked me up and down, nodded slowly.
“You’re the new stray then,” she said, offering her hand. “What should we call you?”
“I don’t know,” I mumbled with a quiet shrug, shaking her hand.
She looked me up and down discerningly. “Funny. All the new ones start off with that name. Well, come on in, then.”
Nora’s apartment looked oddly stereotypical for a grandmother in her sixties, with haphazardly-dusted tchotchkes and a box of tissues in every corner. A huge mother-in-law’s-tongue plant almost blocked the hall at one point, which I found a little humorous.
She led us into her living room, where a group of people were already sitting and waiting. There were six of them, not including Nora, Eris, Kane, and myself. It was so strange knowing that a count of heads would be a count of persons here- only ten of us altogether, and nobody hidden behind another face. Everyone here was like me. That made me feel giddy and terrified and safe and awkward- I felt like I was juggling so many strange emotions that I didn’t know what to do with myself.
Nora presented me to the group. “Folks, this is ‘I don’t know,’ some fresh blood for our little community. Please make ‘I don’t know’ feel welcome.” There were a few nervous giggles. I realized that I must invite some anxiety and fear in them; would there be people out there wanting to infiltrate a group like this? Journalists, researchers, maybe even domestic intelligence or law enforcement? We weren’t doing anything wrong, but that wouldn’t matter for a lot of people. It wouldn’t matter what we did, but who we are that would make us criminal.
“Have a seat,” Nora said, warming up to me. “Can I get you anything to drink? I have fresh tea, coffee, and a well-stocked liquor cabinet.” She ushered me to a large and comfortable chair.
“I’ll have coffee,” I said weakly, sort of falling into the chair.
“With Irish cream?”
“Huh? Oh, um- sure. A little.”
Nora winked as she went off to the kitchen.
Sitting next to me was a young woman about my age- my real age, 24. She was eyeing me suspiciously through bright green eyes that I assumed must be contacts.
“You haven’t picked a name for yourself?” She asked, with a very smooth and beautiful francophone accent.
I shook my head. “I never wanted to. It seemed sad to me that it would be only for myself. Why have a name that nobody calls you? Just so you can say it to yourself?”
She laughed. “Parfois, je me parle à moi-même. Et puis on rit tous els deux.”
“Sorry, I’m not very bilingual.”
“It means… it’s an expression. Um, basically, ‘Sometimes, I talk to myself. And then the two of us have a good laugh.’ It’s funny, being so lonely, we probably talk to ourselves more than the multiples do, even though there’s only our one self to talk to.”
I tried rolling the expression around on my tongue. “Can you say it again?” Nora was pushing a cup of coffee into my hands. “Thank you, Nora.”
“Parfois, je me parle à moi-même... Et puis on rit tous els deux.”
I took a sip of my coffee; there was more than ‘a little bit’ of Irish creme. “Moi-même?”
“My self,” she said with a smile. “Maybe that would be a good name for you. It’s better than ‘J’e sais pas.’”
“Mem,” I said, listening to the sound of it. Like memory, remember, member, meme. A name that means ‘myself,’ in the singular. “I like it.”
“Nice to meet you, Mem. My name is Emma.” We shook hands; she had a warm smile.

🦄🌹🌼🌷
🦄- List your three favorite things about yourself! I try to admit when I’m wrong and learn from it. I’m finally getting better at asking for help when I need it, and learning when--and when not--to offer it to others. And I make an AMAZING turkey.
🌹- Are you/ do you want to be in love? I love my fiance, LJ. They’re super important to me. But we’re also poly and in a mixed orientation relationship–they’re ace/aro and I’m pan–so yes, I would also be very happy to fall in love again, providing they knew and were okay with LJ being part of the deal.
🌼- What are you attracted to in people personality-wise?I like giant dorks who get super excited about things and indulge their love and enjoyment of them. People who care about things and don’t think it’s silly to show it. People who value the importance of kindness, and who laugh at fart jokes. People who will both let me cry on their shoulder, and kick my ass when I need it.
🌷- What are you attracted to in people physical appearance-wise? Oh man. Under the right circumstances, anything? I guess I’m a little demi in that way? That after I know someone, who they are can make them super physically attractive to me, even if they weren’t at first–and vice versa.
But if we’re just going with initial impressions…some things are universal. Smirking smiles, gorgeous eyes. I like long, curly hair, but I also like it short and straight. I like redheads, but I also like brunettes and blonds. I love soft, chubby bodies that give incredible hugs, and I love lean, toned muscles. I love tall willowy dark skinned women in diaphanous dresses, I love small, compact butches in suits and ties. I love big men with long hair and beards, and small, slender men with buzzed heads and clean shaven cheeks. (and that goes just as much for trans men and women as for cis) I love enbys that are everything in between, or parts of both.
I love and am attracted to people, in all the shapes, sizes, and forms they take. Humanity is beautiful and diverse and incredible and I’m half in love with all of it.
But if Natalie Dormer wants to drop by and bring Oscar Isaac with her, I’m good with that, too.

Prologue
SPLASH!
“Tell me the truth!”
You began to break.
All the lies you had told...the graves you filled...it was all catching up.
“I can’t,” you whispered brokenly.
SPLASH!
“The truth!”
“I can’t!”
“Why?” He asked brokenly.
You looked down, your mouth dry.
“Because...,” you said solemnly, “Because it will hurt you.”
“Aro is coming here?”  Bella asked, her amber eyes widening at the dark news, “When?”
“In a few hours,” Alice Cullen responded as the Cullens hurried up to get ready, “They’re moving fast.”
Indeed, the Volturi did arrive at around 4pm that wintry Thursday evening.  Nobody would have thought anything of importance was up, but Aro’s face didn’t have that usual maniac glee that made other vampire tremble.
Something was wrong.
“Aro,” Carlisle greeted, trying as always to keep the peace, “What a pleasant surprise.”
“Carlisle,” Caius replied seriously.
Aro was silent.
That was odd.  The only time Caius spoke was when he was yelling for someone to be executed.
“Is something wrong?”
Caius took a moment to reply.
“There is a matter of concern,” the vampire lord said in an unusually calm manner, “We need to talk.”
After Carlisle let the Volturi into the living room of his him, he got straight to the point.
“You are not speaking Aro,” Carlisle noticed, “What is the problem?”
“He is distracted,” Caius replied frankly, taking off his trademark overcoat and crossing his arms over his black shirt.
“I am right here Caius,” Aro snapped.
The first words the First King of the vampire race had spoken since he arrived.
“I know,” Caius replied, “But you are angry and emotional - which means that you are in no place to rule at the moment.  Let me handle this.”
All of the Cullens’ eyes widened.
Caius never spoke to Aro like that.
“What’s the problem?”  Carlisle asked, finally understanding the weight of whatever issue was before him.
“A human knows about us,” Caius answered, “We need to find her.”
“What is her name?”
Caius, resisted the urge not to snap at the continuous questions, but he went to answer them regardless.
But Aro intervened.
“(Y/N),” he answered.
“How did this happen?”
“...It all started out months ago,” Aro began.
You walked elegantly with the other guests into a dark and mysterious location.
Your camera hung around your neck, along with your black Afia frames, which went nicely with your snow white Armi pantsuit.
You made no sound except for the soft clicking of your Giuseppe Zanotti suede sandals on the hard marble floor.
They were also white.
Everything about you, sans your skin, was...white.
“This is Secret Castle of Volterra,” your tour guide introduced.
You remember her name was Heidi.
“It is the oldest and most private structure in the whole city.”
You mentally snorted at the lie.
That was what Heidi always told the foolish people who were dumb enough to take up on her of “an all-expenses-paid vacation” or “handsomely-paying job.”
After all, who would have known better than you?
You had been scouting her, watching her for weeks.
“The people of Volterra built this great place as a haven of holiness to protect them from the vampires who would prowl the night,” Heidi continued as she led you and the others through the castle.
You had to give it to her.  She was a good little actress.
“Come along everyone,” she said silkily, “We’re almost to the best part.”
Here we go, you thought, readying yourself for the worst.
You all came to two large doors, which opened up.
As you entered with the large group, all of the details came into your view, including the three ethereal men sitting in the thrones and waiting.
All according to plan...
“Ah Heidi my dead,” the head man greeted, “Right on time.”
He was more handsome than your other targets.  He was tall, with hair as long and dark as his suit, and his eyes - in all of their carmine red glory, contrasted sharply against his pale skin.
A vampire...
“Yes, my lord,” Heidi replied with a bow, “They are here, just as you commanded.”
3...2...1...
“Good,” your target replied as the other two men stood from their throne.
Others seemingly came out of nowhere, all with the same red eyes and pale skin.
Then, the doors shut and locked.
Now.
“Feast, my dears,” The vampire commanded, holding his hands out grandly.
The blonde besides him was the first to tackle a human.
You gasped, pretending to be surprised at his brutal technique, as he seemingly ‘came up for air’ - showcasing his now bloody mouth.
The people screamed and you did too, running where they did so as to avoid being eaten.
Blend in, be silent.  That was what you were taught.
Within less than ten minutes, you were the only one alive.
You cowered back into the stone wall behind you as your attackers closed in on you from all sides.
Your formerly white suit was now crimson with blood, and you waited until your target appeared, ready to take a bite.
If you were unsuccessful, you would be drained of all your blood and your body would be disposed - no name, no date, no obituary.
But you were never unsuccessful...
He came closer...closer...
Never.
You could feel his breath on you.
Lights, camera...
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”  You screamed fearfully, putting on your best show as you cowered away from him.
“Aro!”  a male voice shouted, “Don’t!”
Your target looked over his shoulder.
“Why?” He asked.
So that was his name...
The man, whose face seemed bizarrely morose, came forward and grabbed his hand.
The man’s hungry gaze then turn to intense surprise.
Within a minute, he was off of you.
“Clean up this mess immediately,” Aro commanded, “Everyone clean up.  Jane, get her to a room and clean her up.”
Though your brown eyes were wide and your body shook as if riddled with fear, on the inside, you smiled.
“Mission Opening” was a success.
You sat silently in the room that ‘Jane’ had placed you in, waiting patiently for your target to come to you.
It was dark, but even if your imagination used to run wild as child, you were still the scariest thing present.
The door opened and you turned around.
Deep, shuttering breaths...
Nervously, you whimpered as you backed away from him into the corner, trying to make yourself look as small as possible.
“Please,” he said softly, “Do not be afraid.”
“A-afraid?”  You replied as you made your eyes wet with tears, “Why would I be afraid?  S’not every day that you live through a group of innocent people being attacked by vampires.”
“You know of our kind?”
“Watching you suck people’s blood kind of gave you away,” you replied, wiping your cheeks dry.
Aro smiled softly as he came toward you.
He moved almost as silently as you did...
“Shhhh....,” he soothed wiping your eyes as your brought the tears back out.
“Calm down.” Aro said softly, “I will not harm you.”
Your breathed out a sigh of relief.
“Please let me go,” you pleaded in broken tone, “If you’re planning to hold me for ransom then you should know I have no money-”
“Shh...,” Aro soothed, gently tracing your soft lips with his fingers, “I told you.  I will not harm you.”
“Then...why won’t you let me leave?’
“Because,” Aro replied, grabbing your hands in his, “You are very special to me.”
July 13th
“My love, are you sure you don’t want something to eat?”
“Honey I’m positive,” you soothed, “Besides I see something far more delicious right now.”
A hungry look glimpsed in Aro’s eyes as you grazed his stone chin with your manicured fingers.
You and he decided to step out for a night on the town and were flanked by Felix, Demetri and Jane.
As the two of you walked, he told you everything you wanted to know about “The Cold Ones.”
“Tell me more about your kind,” you said, curling closer to Aro as your white trench coat billowed in the nightly Italian breeze.
“What else could there be?”  He asked, “We are immensely strong, we do not sleep, we drink human blood - though the man I told you of in Washington lives off the blood of animals along with his...family.  What else is there?”
You stopped, taking his hands in yours and looking deep into his eyes.
“Why did you spare me that night?”
Aro sighed, “Because you are my mate.”
Intel on mating habits acquired.
“Your mate?”
“Yes,” Aro answered, “Each vampire, male or female, has another half - a mate to call their own.  This person is their soul mate, and the vampire cannot function without them.”
“Then...what will happen to me?”
“What do you mean?”
“I am human, honey,” you answered, “I am inching closer to death while we speak.”
Aro smiled softly, taking your cheek in his hard hands, “That is no problem, my love.  I will turn you into one of us.  Then we shall be together forever.”
“I like the sound of that.”
You smiled and leaned close, planting a kiss on him.
Aro smiled and kissed you again, making your lip lock deeper.
“Forever.”
In that moment, you were compromised.
That night, you sat in Aro’s study, looking nervous.
His “wife” Sulpicia had found you two in a particularly inappropriate position on top of Aro’s desk.
SMASH!
You winced as the glass broke.
Needles to say, she wasn’t taking it too well.
Against your better judgement, you snuck out of the study and took the short journey to the throne room to see what was happening.
They were at each other’s throats.
“Aro I will not accept it!” Sulpicia yelled.
“I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU WILL ACCEPT!”  Aro roared.  “SHE.  IS.  MINE.”
“You abandon me for her!”
“Wow, my dear,” Aro snapped venomously, “How perceptive of you!”
“You have been different ever since she came here,” Sulpicia ranted, “You are not as cold as you used to be.  You are gentler, calmer.  ...You are happy.”
“YES SULPICIA, I AM HAPPY!”  Aro ranted, “I have not felt this way in the thousand years I have been like this.  I am myself when I am with her.  I can tell her anything.  She is kind and sweet...gentle.  She is intelligent and the only woman cultured enough to understand the value of The Merchant of Venice.  And the best part?  She’s all mine.”
A tear cascaded down your eyes as you listened to him speak.
Nobody ever said anything like that about you before.
“So yes Sulpicia,” Aro spoke, “I am different with her, because I am happy.  You can either accept that, or I can dispose of you like you were never here.”
“You will not disregard me,” Sulpicia growled, “I will kill that Moorish whore before you-CUUGGGGHT!”
Aro had her by the throat.
“On second thought,” he said coldly, “You services are no longer required.  Goodbye, my wife.”
Then, Aro yanked Sulpicia’s head off like it was plastic and kicked it across the room.
“Jane,” he called.
The young blonde came in.
“Please have this...trash burned.  I do not wish to smell the filth anymore.”
“Yes Master.”
For the first time since you left, you were unhappy.
Aro had killed someone for you.
It wasn’t that you were shocked.  You knew the kind of man he was, the kind of ruler he had to be...
But when he killed Sulpicia, he had committed a fork - one attack on her, the other on your heart.
Indeed, you thought, Compromised.
September 4th
You curled into Aro, trying to slow down your rapidly beating heart, as her brushed your 4C curls - which were now wet with sweat.
The two of you, after hours of lovemaking, were now curled up naked in his bed.
“Honey that was amazing,” you praised, grazing his chest.
“Mmmmm I’m glad you enjoyed it,” he said with a smile, “Thou it was quite the vision to see you so wet for me.  Those moans of yours are...sinful.”
“You are unkind sir,” you teased, placing playful kiss on his lips.
“Then perhaps you should punish me,” Aro said seductively, pulling you into his arms and meshing his tongue with yours.
KNOCK KNOCK!
Aro huffed as you rolled off him.
He always hated interruptions.
“Aro,” Caius called, “If you are done producing your body weight in sperm, we have business to attend to.”
Aro growled, but relaxed slightly when you kissed his jawline.
“Fine,” he called, “I shall be there in a few minutes.”
“You’re leaving?”  You asked as he got up to head to the bathroom.
“Not leaving,” he answered, sparing you a loving look, “Just working.  Relax for the day, and I shall return later.  We will pick up right where we left off.”
You sighed with exaggerated air as you crawled on the bed, “But I want you to stayyyyyy.”
“My love,” Aro chastised, “Are we really going to - ”
“Mmmmm,” you moaned, parting your legs and rubbing your clit, holding your parted legs wide open so he could see.
Aro bit his lip and the scent of our sex his nose.
“Fuck Aro,” you moaned, your fingers catching a rhythm as you stuck your butt up, “I need you.”
Aro growled, swiftly returning to bed and flipping you over.
“I suppose we could have a quickie,” he said.
Shortly after, your moans filled the castle.
September 4th
This was the longest time since your ascension that you were able to act like yourself.
You did not have to be prim and proper around Aro.
He loved you whether your were perturbed, goofy, grumpy...
He loved all of you.
Sure, you were compromised, but you didn’t even give C.H.E.S.S. or the Intel they wanted that much energy anymore.
You were happy.
“You are good at this game,” Aro commented, as you moved another white piece on your board.
A Nimzo-Indian.
“Thank honey.  And to my credit, I have been playing for a long time,” you said as Aro moved another black piece on the board, “You might want to be careful though. My bite is worse than my bark.”
Aro smiled, “Well I am sure of that.  You proved that well enough last night.”
You laughed as Aro winked at you.
“You flirt,” you giggled.
“Oh we are way past flirting, my dear,” Aro replied, taking out a book.
“What is this?”  You asked as he handed it to you.
“Just open it.”
Your eyes narrowed playfully, but you did as he said.
You flipped through the pages of The Merchant of Venice copy and your eyes furrowed with interest when you noticed a gap in the pages.
Flipping to it, your eyes widened when you founds its source and held it up to the light.
“Holy shit,” you said.
Tumblr media
“It is not much but - ”
“Aro I love it,” you said, “It’s beautiful.”
“Good,” Aro replied, coming around from the chess game, “I want you to admire your engagement ring.”
Oh shit.
“W-What?”
He knelt down in front you, taking your hand in his.
“(Y/N) (Y/M/N) (Y/L/N), I have never met any woman like you.  You are perfect for me in each and every way and I cannot live without you.  I need you not just to be happy, but to live.  (Y/N)...will you marry me?”
C.H.E.S.S. never allowed operatives to marry.
Too many loose ends and distractions.
Still, a ray of hope glimmered inside of you, the kind that said that you could outsmart a government organization.
You could make this work, you were sure you could.
You just had to tie up some things first.
“Yes,” you said tearfully, “I do.”
“You proposed to her?” Esme asked with large eyes.
“I loved her,” Aro answered, “So yes, yes I did.  I was planning to turn her right after the wedding but...well, you understand.”
“So let me get this straight,” Emmett said, “You’re saying that you - Aro Volturi, king of all vampire kind, fell in love with a woman who turned out to be a super spy and now that she’s disappeared, you want us to help you find her.”
“Pretty much,” Caius said casually, “You didn’t even hear what happened when she left.  I had to find out her dirty little secrets.”
November 3rd
Aro walked to the room you two shared, ready to confront you.
Even with the coming of the wedding, and everyone (sans Caius of course) being cherry for the upcoming occasion, you - for some odd reason, were not happy.
Everybody had caught onto your mood swing.
Instead of being your happy, cultured and goofy self, you were cold, quiet and withdrawn.
Aro opened the door to the room and his eyes widened.
You were nowhere in sight.  Your clothes had been left there, and the window was open.
You were gone.
That sent Aro into panic mode.  All of the vampires in the Volturi had immediately been called back from any assignment and ordered to search for you.
After three days, Caius came into Aro’s study.
“Aro,” he said urgently, “We need to talk.”
“Not now Caius.”
“Yes now!”  Caius snapped, “It’s about (Y/N).”
“What did you find?”
Caius came in a dropped a thick manila file on his desk.
“I had a couple of scouts head to the United States to search for her.  One of them came across a government worker who was about to incinerate her file.”
Aro was confused.
“Her file?”
Caius gestured to it, and Aro flipped through it.
“She is not just a normal woman, Aro.  She’s an operative for the Clarigate Hessian Eradication Secret Society, also known as C.H.E.S.S, based in the United States.  She has over three hundred confirmed kills and she is skilled in multiple forms of martial arts ranging from Jujutsu to Muay Thai.  She is also well versed in the use of multiple military grade weapons.  They call her The White Queen.”
Aro was flipped through the file, looking at all of your victims.
Government workers...rich moguls...German chancellors...they had all fallen by your hand.
He froze.
Everything...every single thing about you...was a lie?
Aro roared with rage, flipping over his desk.
“Find her,” Aro growled, “Bring her back to me!”
“I didn’t take it too well,” Aro explained.
“Holy shit,” Renesmee mumbled.
“Young lady,” Bella chastised, “Language.”
“No,” Caius said solemnly, “She is right.  This woman got to us in a way that no human has.  She lived with us for months, learned endless secrets.  If we do not find her...it could mean the end of all vampire kind.”
Just then, Jane rushed back in.
“Master,” she said hastily.
That was the first time Bella had seen her shocked.
“Jane...what is it?”
“She’s here.  The White Queen is here.”
Aro, Caius, The Volturi and all of the Cullens rushed to the back yard to see the commotion.
You stood there in your trademark white bodysuit, waiting patiently.
“(Y/N),” Aro said.
“Hello honey,” you greeted solemnly.
“You lied to me,” Aro growled coming toward you, “You broke left me.”
“I know that.”
“You disappeared without a word!”
“I know that too.”
“Was everything a lie?  Our love...all of it?!”
You shook your head, a tear dripping down your cheek, “No.”
“The what was the truth?”
“The truth...is that I love you.”
“You are a government operative.  How can I be sure that you are telling me the truth?”
You said nothing.
After all, and given the circumstances, Aro was right to suspicious.
Aro roared with rage as he rushed toward you.
Remembering your years of training, you sidestepped him and used his strength to flip him a few feet away.
Getting up after his tumble, he glared at you.
“So that’s who you really are,” he said venomously.
“Yes,” you said gravely, “Attack me again Aro.  Maybe you might kill me and make things simple for me.”
“SIMPLE?! RAHHHHHHHH!”
Aro fought you with pure rage and you blocked every single move.  Everyone watched as the two of you went back and forth in a blur of black and white.
Before the Aro could strike another blow, someone got between the two of you and pushed you apart.
“Enough!”  Caius commanded, “Everyone calm down!”
“She lied to me!”  Aro said angrily, “She left me!”
“I know that,” Caius growled, “But she came back.  And you will hate yourself if you kill her.”
Aro calmed down slightly, but his glare never left you.
“Now,” Caius ordered, turning to you, “You have some explaining to do - ”
“Caius I can’t tell - ”
“Do not dare argue with me after what you did.  You are going to explain and you will do it now.”
You backed up, “I just came to say goodbye.  I do not have time for explanations.”
“Then you will make time.”
You were grabbed by Felix and Demetri and knocked to the ground.  Jane came and wrapped your arms and legs with hard cables.
“Get her inside,” Caius ordered, “We’ll make her talk.”
You sat across from Aro in the Cullen’s dark basement.
While you were tied to a chair, his arms were crossed and his eyes sharp and narrow.
Oh yeah, he was pissed.
“Why?”  He asked.
“Why what, Aro?”
“Why did you lie to me?”
You shrugged, “You were my target.  I had to collect Intel.”
“Intel on what?”  Caius demanded.
“...On vampires.”
“So that is what this...C.H.E.S.S. is?  An organization meant to hunt us down?”  Carlisle asked gently.
You nodded.
“So you don’t love me then.”
You looked up at Aro, “How did you come to that conclusion?”
“You lead me on for months, charming me...getting me to love you.  Was it all for me, or were just charming me for information?”
“No...no it...it started out as any other mission.  Then...after that kiss we shared months ago...I fell for you.”
“When was our first kiss then?  If you love me so much then you should be able to recall when it happened.”
“July 13th, 9:40 pm near the Caffè di fiori,” you answered instantly.
Aro sighed, momentarily satisfied.
“You could have just told me the truth,” he said.
“I was going to.  After you proposed I immediately started making plans to disappear off C.H.E.S.S.’s radar forever.  I was going to go all the way - fake my death, destroy my files - you name it.  But it wasn’t that simple.  They wouldn’t let me leave since The Queen’s Gambit hadn’t been completed.”
“The Queen’s Gambit,” Caius repeated, “I assume that’s code for your mission to spy on us?”
You nodded, “When an operative becomes compromised, or defects to the enemy side, they have to be put down.  They put a Code Zugzwang on me.  I’ve had two assassins come after me just this last week.”
“I assume you handled them?”
You nodded.
Aro’s eyes were narrowed again, “You’re not telling me everything.”
“What?”
“Do not what me.  You are withholding something.”
You shook your head, “Aro I swear...I’m not.”
Before you knew it, Aro had you by the neck and your body was resting on the chair’s hind legs.
“Tell me the truth,” he growled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Aro huffed, sitting you back upright.
“Get the water,” he told Caius.
SPLASH!
“Talk!’  Aro growled.
He knew how you hated getting your curls wet.
The water always made the oil on your scalp itch.
“I said I don’t know what you mean!”  You snapped.
SPLASH!
“Dammit Aro!”  You snapped, “Stop it.”
“Not until you tell me the truth,” he said brokenly, before pouring more cold water on your head.
Aro knelt in front of you, holding your head in his hands.
“Tell me the truth,” he demanded.
“His name is Jack Barnett.  They call him The Player.”
Aro held you in his arms as you told him everything about you - the real you.
When you were eight, your parents were murdered by vampires.
Jack Barnett, a hot new elite agent for the U.S. Secret Service found you.
It was then after meeting you an taking you in that he got a brilliant idea.
An organization, dedicated to wiping the scourge of all supernatural creatures, carried out by young and talented child soldiers who would be nurtured into mindless soldiers.
You were the first.
Jack nurtured you, told you that you were his “special girl.”
It was only after you learned the meaning of sexual assault that you finally understood what that meant.
“He...he raped you?”  Aro asked.
You curled closer to him on the couch as all of Cullens and Volturi members listened in.
“Three times,” you confirmed with a nod, “He thought I forgot.  I was actually planning to poison him after this last mission.  But I didn’t anticipate you.”
Aro smiled, “So...you love me?”
“More than you could ever know.”
“Then we should confront C.H.E.S.S.,” Caius suggested, “And Mister Barnett will die first.”
The Volturi murmured in agreement.
“In that case,” Carlisle said as the Cullens stepped forward, “We’re helping too.”
“Plus I really want you to show me some of those coll fighting moves,” Renesmee commented, plopping down next to you.
You laughed lightly, pinching her cheeks, “Of course I will.”
The next morning, Aro watched from the back porch as you taught Renesmee the Throat Punch and Reverse Roundhouse Kick.
“Your wife is impressive.”
Aro looked over his shoulder to see Bella come up beside him.
“Your daughter isn’t bad either,” Aro replied casually, noting how Renesmee was swiftly catching onto your training.
“She is a fast learner,” Bella said, “And I imagine you are happy to have your Queen back.”
Aro snorted lightly, “A little bit - yes.”
“Good,” Bella commented, patting him on the shoulder, “You should keep her around.  She had a good effect on you.”
Aro smiled again, waving back at you as your smiled and waved at him.
Perhaps you did.
It had been a funny turn of events.
You - the woman who had entered the world with lie on top of lie on top of lie, now lit up his world with justice, honor, truth and happiness.
Ha, the White Queen always did win after all...
