A Summer for the Little Garden Friends - The Story of the Bird Baths
The summer had finally arrived, and Marcus, the garden owner, was enjoying the warm rays of sun, filtering through the green leaves of the trees. But while he admired his beautifully designed garden, he suddenly remembered the little garden friends that were often forgotten in the heat - the birds and bees.
Marcus decided to do something good for them and offer them a way to cool down. He knew they could use water sources during dry spells and heatwaves. So, he immediately set out to create bird baths.
He already had some shallow bowls and plant saucers on hand, which were perfect for bird baths. He believed it was important for the containers to have a rough surface so that the birds could grip them better with their claws. Therefore, he used pots made of clay, terracotta, and natural stone, which he had in his shed.
As he placed the first bird baths in his garden, an idea came to him - he decided to add stones to the baths. This would not only provide landing spots for insects but also give them a chance to cool down. It would not only help the birds but also promote the diversity of garden life.
After Marcus had finished the final touches, several bird baths stood in his garden, and he was delighted that he had created a little oasis for the small garden friends. He would now ensure that the baths were regularly filled with fresh water to quench the thirst of the birds and bees.
The garden owner felt happy and fulfilled as he saw the birds and bees using his bird baths and refreshing themselves. He now knew that he was not just caring for the plants in his garden, but also doing something good for the animals.
And so, Marcus enjoyed the remaining summer in his blooming garden, knowing that he had not only created a paradise for himself but also hadn't forgotten the little garden friends.

Expansion of the story:
A little blackbird landed on one of the stones in the bird bath and then fluttered into the fresh water to take a sip. Its tailless feathers were slightly ruffled, but the cooling effect felt good. Suddenly, it heard a soft buzzing and saw a bee landing on a nearby flower bed. The bee collected pollen in its pouches and buzzed with joy. Both garden residents, birds and insects, enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the refreshing water in Marcus' garden.
Both species played an important role in the cycle of nature and appreciated the water sources in the garden. Marcus smiled as he saw how life unfolded harmoniously in his garden and how much his little garden friends benefited from the bird baths. It was a wonderful summer in harmony with nature.

A Loving Family
Photo by Patricia Prudente on Unsplash
A family’s love is like a warm embrace,
A shelter from the storms of life’s race.
A bond that’s strong and built to last,
A love that’s meant to be forever cast.
A family’s love is like a guiding light,
That shines so bright and makes things right.
A love that’s pure and true and kind,
A love that’s with us all the time.
A family’s love is like a treasure…
