it's just. it's just

if your take on aziraphale at the end of the day is that he is, ultimately, a wholly selfish person. that his relationship to crowley is him taking and accepting and asking for more from a partner who, lovesick and waiflike and unable to draw a line, continues to carve off of himself to supplicate, while aziraphale does not "for once" contribute back.

then honestly i think you missed a step somewhere. and i'll preface by saying no shade on that front because it would be a boring thing if everyone everywhere had the same idea about every character, but this particular read on aziraphale chafes me.

because coming at things from his angle i think the larger issue is that he's selfless.

not in a cutesy job interview "my only flaw is i care too much :)" way, not in the sort of way that negates selfishness entirely (because like ALL of the characters in good omens, he IS still selfish!).

but i think aziraphale is selfless in a terrible and passive sort of way. i think he does not love himself and he does not think that he's someone who is easy to love, and i think that like crowley, aziraphale believes that when it comes to himself, love is conditional. it must be. when he receives it straightforwardly, seemingly unconditionally, he balks, because to his mind he's never done anything to deserve it.

i think he's been taught that, when he's himself, he's somehow wrong. i think if he's the only one on the line, he wouldn't choose his own happiness over something he feels he has to do. and if he feels that something is right, truly fully right, and that it needs doing, and that he can do it, he'll always ultimately throw himself onto that proverbial sword.

he'll run higher and higher up the celestial ladder trying to save earth (and crowley) and when that gets him nowhere, he'll decry the entire war and throw himself down to earth to try to stop it anyway. he'll stand at the edge of the end with actual satan bearing down upon them and pick up his old sword and say we can't give up now. he'll hand the most important person in the universe their destruction in a tartan thermos and feel like the most wretched miserable creature in existence for doing it.

he'll love someone in a way he's never loved anything and make himself be the one who keeps the rehearsed distance, the walls of plausible deniability and loopholes and convenient coincidences, because the distance is the most concrete way to keep that person safe. (because that was always one of the first points he'd hit with crowley: if hell finds out, they'll destroy you.) i think he operates out of fear before nearly anything else.

i think that for all that aziraphale indulges in his material pleasures-- the books and souvenirs and drinks and food-- he's starved and repressed and made himself very carefully wall off the pieces of his heart that want only to love wholly and to be loved in return. especially where crowley is concerned.

and honestly i'm not even going to get into their relationship dynamics bc that's so much to get into that's like a separate issue separate post. except to say that just because aziraphale doesn't do the exact same things for crowley that crowley has for him, it doesn't mean that this relationship is not reciprocal. (my wording struggles here because in general the point is not to gain returns, crowley doesn't do things for aziraphale because he expects to get something out of it. he does things because he loves him and he's big acts of service energy)

and tbh i feel like if crowley saw or caught wind of any of this "aziraphale should sacrifice for crowley ~for once~ protect crowley ~for once~" rhetoric he'd be pretty fucking offended

First Post regarding Tokka

(An unpopular opinion, maybe. Please don't be mean to me.)

I think I need to really get these words out of my head. I’ve been shipping Tokka since 2012 (I know, I was quite late to the party). I used to write fanfics and drew fanarts for a bit back in the day. Lately I’ve been drowning in Tokka feels again so why not catch up with the fandom, right?

I created an account on tumblr this time and dived right in to Tokka fanfics and headcanons and you know what? I did not quite LIKE it. No hate to all the writers ofc, all the Tokka stories was beautifully written, and I enjoyed THE ANGST. But, after a while, I can't help but feel... sad reading all these stories potraying Tokka as this bittersweet angst-filled story to comply with the canon and have Suyin as Sokka’s child. The stories usually being either:

1. Toph not believing in marriage and was too stubborn to change, which hurt Sokka a lot

2. Toph having a one-night stand after a blowout between them which led to her not knowing who the real father is, or

3. Toph not wanting to ruin Sokka’s career as a Councilman or Chief of the Southern Tribe.

All of which, are�� sad and doesn't sit quite right with me because I think if there’s anyone who can get through to Toph, it’s Sokka. She wouldn’t have left him hanging, separated him from his child, and live life alone!? Also, would it be possible for the Gaang to not notice a SokkaxToph's lovechild and not say anything about it?

If they were to be a couple, Sokka and Toph would be OUT THERE LAUGHING LIKE THE TWO IDIOTS THEY ARE, WREAKING HAVOC EVERYWHERE THEY GO AND BE HAPPY! They’d be silly, they’d enjoy each other’s presence and they’d always support each other no matter how hard things get. Maybe I just missed the cute shit, who knows.

In order for Tokka to be canon then it would imply that their relationship as a couple didn’t work out (enough for Toph to hide Sokka’s identity as Su’s biological father, which doesn’t make sense). The fact that none of Toph’s daughters know the identity of their fathers do imply that none of Toph’s relationships went well (which pisses me off because Toph deserves a happy ending. She deserves an arc too. She deserves someone who can get through to her and show her that can be vulnerable without getting hurt. I secretly wished LoK never happened because of what they did to her and Lin. Oh no, don’t even get me started on Lin.)

I guess what I’m trying to say is: Maybe this time I just want to enjoy Tokka as fanon. The silly, happy Tokka. I love how strong their bond is, their silly banters, how they always have a lot more fun whenever the other is around, how they are always ready to protect each other, and how supportive their overall relationship is. I think that is beautiful, if not the most beautiful form of relationship there is. If they can be happy like that, until the end of their lives, without all the other complications, then that’s what I’d prefer them to be – best friends.

I still ship Tokka tho, in my own little version of what their alternate universe would be. Happy. Silly. With their own little mudbabies. Not like this. Never like this. They don’t have to be canon.

I'm excited to finish writing Chapters 24 & 25 because Buck and Eddie are married and the Diaz family is starting the second half of their two-week long European family adventure. For anyone who hasn't read Chapters 22 and 23, here's a brief overview. In Chapter 22, Buck and Eddie got married, Chris was their best man and Eddie successfully surprised Buck with all the things he had planned for him including a three-tier wedding cake. Their honeymoon started that night and they had an important conversation before they consummated their marriage. In Chapter 23, they left Rome the day after their wedding and proceeded to visit 5 other cities for the remainder of their time in Italy. By the end of it, they agreed to continue speaking Italian even after they return to the U.S. because while they were in San Gimignano, they made a decision that could affect the course of their family's lives forever. What was the decision? 👀

They departed Rome at the end of the chapter and they landed in London on Christmas Eve to start the second half of their family adventure. What else are they going to do while they're still in Europe? Will Buck meet his biological father? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Here's another snippet from Chapter 24 of Buck and Eddie being romantically fluffy Christmas night.

They lean in at the same time and kiss each other again. It’s soft and sweet and it's filled with promises of them being together indefinitely.

When they pull back, Buck says, “Ti amo.” [I love you”.]

“Ti amo anch’io.” [“I love you too”.] He replies then he leans his forehead against Buck’s.

They stay there for several seconds with their eyes closed just breathing each other in and enjoying this intimate time they’re spending together.

Eddie closes the millimeter or so of space between them and places a soft kiss onto Buck’s lips. After he pulls back, he says, “I got you something too.”

“You did?”

“I did but before I give it to you, I want to show you something first.”

Buck looks at him and waits then Eddie stands, grabs his phone off the coffee table, walks over to the TV and connects it to the Apple dongle that allows him to use the USB type A connection. Once the TV is in video mode, he scrolls through his video app and presses play on the iMovie he’s been working on for weeks.

He returns to the couch and sits next to Buck. When the video begins, he watches as Buck’s mouth falls open from the first clip of Buck and Chris.

“I recorded that when we went to Catalina Island. Look at how happy the two of you are.”

Buck quickly meets his eyes and after a few seconds, they return to watching. In the second clip, Buck sees himself instructing Chris how to fish when they went to Hollenbeck Lake. Then he watches as he teaches Chris how to cook lasagna for Thanksgiving and it’s followed by them cooking in the kitchen of the villa they stayed in while they were in San Gimignano, Italy.

Eddie says, “There’s one more”. Then he stands, walks back to the TV and presses the next video and once he finishes, he hurries back to the sofa and sits down.

Buck’s eyes widen when he sees the three of them sitting around the table eating the last of their breakfast and he sees Eddie and Chris discuss the last present that’s underneath the tree. He turns to face Eddie and says, “You recorded everything that happened this morning?”

What happened Christmas morning that prompted Eddie to record it and add it to the iMovie he's been editing for months? 👀

Also, what did Eddie get Buck for Christmas? 🙃

Fic Summary: Months after Buck and Eddie were hit by the same lightning strike; they’re still struggling with the aftermath of it. But before they make their love confessions, they’ll spend time getting to know themselves as individuals first. Eddie learns to enjoy the simple things in life as he participates in activities on his own and with new friends while Buck learns the rest of the 31-year-old deep dark family secret about his conception and birth. Their journey to forever is still a work in progress but once they finally admit they’re in love with each other, everything that follows their love confessions will be cataclysmic.

Chapter Summaries

Chapter 1 - Eddie makes a new friend while Buck receives devastating news regarding the sperm donation he made for Connor and Kameron.

Chapter 2 - Buck does a lot of research to learn more about the abnormalities found in his red blood cells and Eddie starts a new therapy journey that’s all about him and not the traumas he’s experienced.

Chapter 3 - After more than a month, Buck and Eddie finally spend time together outside of work but it doesn’t end well and they part with a lot of uncertainty regarding their places in each other’s lives.

Chapter 4 - Eddie has a few realizations about his life which causes him to consider moving back to El Paso, TX while Buck continues to be reminded of his past which causes him to take an impromptu road trip across America.

Chapter 5 - Both Buck and Eddie have difficult conversations with their parents and Buck finally learns the truth behind the reason why his mother despised him while Eddie finally tells his mother about the way she tries to control him.

Chapter 6 - More than two weeks after Buck pushed Eddie away after suggesting they needed a break; Eddie decides to try again. Eddie’s there for Buck when he’s at his worst just like Buck was there for him when he was at his worst and he won’t let Buck give up.

Chapter 7 - After Buck’s mental breakdown, Eddie has his back the same way Buck had his when he had his own breakdown more than a year ago. They share several vulnerable and emotionally intimate moments with one another and they begin to realize their small, sweet and caring gestures matter just as much if not more than any grand gesture ever could because these are the foundations of a long-lasting love relationship.

Chapter 8 - Buck, Eddie and Chris all have their own therapists and during their sessions, they reflect on their pasts while they’re in the present so they can prepare for their future together as a family.

Chapter 9 - Buck and Eddie are there for each other when Buck has to testify as a witness during the trial. But by the end of it, they’ll both realize their individual and shared traumas are going to keep resurfacing until they talk about them, deal with the fact that they’re in love with one another and face the fact that they can’t live without each other.

Chapter 10 - As Buck and Eddie finally begin to confront their past traumas, they realize how much they need each other to fill in the gaps of their memories. Additionally, the universe screams at them for what appears to be the one hundredth time so Buck can realize he doesn’t have to ‘find it’ because he already ‘made it’ and Eddie’s reminded tomorrow isn’t promised and he doesn’t have to die alone if he doesn’t want to.

Chapter 11 - A “virga” or dry thunderstorm is in the forecast but once the rain starts, the thunderstorm happening outside won’t be able to match the storm brewing inside between Buck and Eddie. It’s the universe’s final scream and when the tumultuous winds begin to blow, they’ll have one last chance to hold onto everything they’ve built over the last six years or they’ll lose it all forever.

Chapter 12 - Buck and Eddie have always shared a deep physical attraction and an emotional intimacy that’s unmatched but now that they’re in a relationship, they’re learning how to navigate the romantic intimacy they’ve been waiting for six years to explore. The love they have for each other is a once in a lifetime, soulmate, love of their lives type of love that transcends space and time.

Chapter 13 - While navigating the newness of their romantic relationship, Buck and Eddie take advantage of every moment they spend together. As their individual lives, people from their pasts, time constraints and the possibility of losing each other again make attempts to interrupt and interfere with their journey to forever, they love, care for, support and hold onto each other even tighter to withstand it all.

Chapter 14 - Buck and Eddie can see the lights at the end of the tunnels regarding the results of Buck’s Cancer Screening along with everything else they’re dealing with. But are the lights they see exits to the tunnels or are they headlights on different runaway trains that are speeding towards them in an effort to interrupt their forever?

Chapter 15 - Buck and Eddie have known they were exactly who the other one wanted in a partner since they met six years ago when they agreed to have each other’s backs. They’re in a romantic relationship, they’re both preparing to ask the other one to spend forever with them and by the end of the seventh week into their relationship, together they will plan their most important and greatest adventure for their future.

Chapter 16 - As Buck and Eddie begin to prepare for their marriage ceremony that will take place in Rome, Italy in December 2023, they start planning their first international adventure as a romantic couple. Even though Chris is still the only person they’ve told about their relationship, several people who know them have already witnessed the love they share and as the days continue, others will witness it too.

Chapter 17 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to departing Los Angeles for their international adventure, a moment in time will remind them; life is fragile, tomorrow isn’t promised and every second of everyday should be cherished because everything can change in an instant. The result of that realization will cause them to hold onto each other even more.

Chapter 18 - As Buck, Eddie and Chris prepare for family gatherings before and during the Thanksgiving holiday, the “Santa Ana Winds” start to blow and all sorts of expected and unexpected familial drama ensues.

Chapter 19 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to their wedding day, the universe begins to align everything so that some of their parent and children's relationships are strengthened while others come to an abrupt end.

Chapter 20 - With only 14 days remaining until Buck, Eddie and Chris depart Los Angeles, CA traveling to Rome, Italy, for their first family adventure, an early morning conversation about “tying up loose ends” helps Buck and Eddie realize there are still several things left unfinished on their ‘To Do’ lists. The question is will there be enough time to complete all of them?

Chapter 21 - Buck, Eddie and Chris are finalizing their ‘To Do’ Lists, double checking their itineraries and packing their suitcases in preparation for their trip to Europe so they can board their flight that departs Los Angeles, CA on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 3:25PM.

Chapter 22 - While Buck, Eddie and Chris spend the first 8 days of their European family adventure in Italy, their primary reason for going will be fulfilled as well as several others they hadn’t considered or anticipated.

Chapter 23 - As the Diaz Family continues their Italian family adventure, they’ll say, “Ciao” or hello and goodbye to a lot of things almost immediately after they become an official and legal family.

no bc you’re absolutely right about the wrongful foiling of Regulus! Book wise? Sirius to made himself larger than life. He was outwardly charming, bold, basically ‘affable’ in comparison to others in his family because he wasn’t well liked at home for his different ideas on pure blood status. Not only that he was socialized by other Gryffindors to BE proud of his different ideas, leaning into the informal self image rather than what House Black members (book wise) usually present themselves as. Sirius is the anomalous odd one like his Uncle Alphard. Regulus was perfectly in line and proper by his own family’s brief accounts until the Kreacher incident and that is all we’re afforded to truly confirm. Sorry about the rant but this plagues me too often sorry 😭

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. okay. okay. first of all, thank you for talking to me about this, because i'm so glad i'm not the only one ://

now, on to real business :) this is going to a ridiculously long because i have feelings!!!! and it's 1) frustration 2) frustration and 3) frustration!

See, I think this mainly comes from three reasons: the need to spark contrast between the two, the general lack of canon knowledge in the fandom, and the sad attempt to squeeze regulus in what little space is left in the fandom as much of what is fanon, revolves around established headcanons for sirius (regulus' rise to popularity is very much a new thing. he had fans before but trust that it was nowhere near how it is today.)

the fourth secret thing, is the fandom's general tendency to cling to established fanon dynamics like a chastity cage on a particularly swollen dick. and this time, it's regulus being the runt of the black family.

on the matter of contrast

this is so silly to me, because isn't there already contrast between the two? Regulus being the favored child takes absolutely nothing from Sirius' canon charisma, intelligence, and popularity in school. and anon, YOU'RE SO RIGHT about Sirius trying extra hard to fit in at school out of a need to seek attention, approval, and praise because of how it's like at home. Plus the fact that this is done through loudly putting himself against his family. Sirius being the black sheep is such an integral part of what fuels his decisions, explaining the somewhat feral manner in which it manifests. almost crazed. why? because sirius is a hurt and traumatized teenager!!!!!! he has a developmental deficit (emotional and social) that he's still trying to fill, because their home was shit.

nowhere was it ever mentioned that regulus was so unliked by his family nor his slytherin peers because they saw him as lesser than. especially "lesser than sirius." in fact, the opposite was said.

a more accurate contrast between the two would've been about how regulus was a perfect student and how sirius was known for being a marauder. Regulus pulled people in the same way all Blacks do (coolly and with an existence that screams of an implied threat) alongside being the proud heir of an ancient house, while Sirius was making people pay attention to him through sheer spite and will to be heard after being ignored for so long. People would've been getting whiplash from the two, night and day. That regulus made following rules look like a calling, like being a lord to a house was something people were supposed to watch him do, and they fucking watched because they couldn't look away. While sirius could walk in a room full of people and you'd never know what he'd do, but you stay in your fucking seat because whatever it is, it's something you have to see -- you look around and everyone is doing the same thing. People would be holding their breaths for the black brothers but for entirely different reasons.

Regulus never would've made a point to be popular nor aim for the same kind of popularity. He was more probably a social icon for Slytherin, especially, since people were paying attention to the choices old, pureblooded families were making. Slytherin most, especially.

on the general lack of canon knowledge

yeah, at this point, no one wants to read the books anymore (that's genuinely the author's fault) and the movies are what most people know and can be bothered to know. not to mention the disdain for "canon".

there's also this stupid fucking take within the marauders fandom, that apparently everything is pure headcanon. but there's a difference between filling in a lot of the blanks that canon leaves and straight up denying anything ever existed for anyone to look up or research.

fact: there's appallingly little of what's written in the books regarding the marauders era characters. there are some, who were merely mentioned by name or seen in photographs.

bullshit: everything is headcanon. we know nothing about them and there's nothing to know about them.

fact: sirius was a popular student, while regulus was the favorite child of the family.

bullshit: sirius is all the good in their family, while regulus was born a loser and was from the start unwanted and unloved.

and it's funny how i've seen multiple blogs write about people trying to make regulus look cool, and it being an attempt to make, a "discount sirius". and this, apparently, is canon (kiss my dick the lot of you, kiss my phat phucking dick).

on established headcanons about sirius

yeah, i don't think people have been wanting to write about how sirius is in anyway inferior to regulus for much of this fandom's existence. he's a core four member. I mean -- M . W. P. P.

he's arguably the most popular character in the fandom, with his most well-known traits being beautiful, charismatic, and widely popular.

so how do you make sense of his home life? how could he NOT be wanted? how does one make this case, sirius friendly? well, you make him the TRUE favorite. make it so that his little brother? yeah, the nobody? was born as a spare.

sirius was the true favorite until he wasn't, and when he left, their parents were the most miserable human beings on earth for having lost the perfect heir, leaving them with a defunct child without a spine. Make it so that sirius was the ~son who got away~

sirius becomes the cool brother and regulus, the loser.

you have a fandom established dynamic between the two, where this just recently popular brother has to fit around the larger fandom headcanons surrounding sirius, where most are an attempt to smooth over the reality of his childhood. in the end, i think it became more important to make sirius as this better brother in all aspects compared to 'poor regulus' who never got an ounce of attention in his life.

i'm not saying that most people are doing this actively BUT, the headcanons that have stuck are largely due to the fact that the marauders fandom, in general, has had years to establish headcanons that work in sirius' favor (because regulus hasn't been as popular as he is now), and the general want of an overwhelming majority to have sirius simply be more than, compared to his brother.

this mixes so very well with a good number of people rioting about every single trait they think belongs solely to sirius, that must never be associated with regulus.

faced with a fandom that would rather off themselves than read the books... well, we're stuck with fanon tropes.

NOW, this isn't some tall order to make people stop writing what they want to write nor is it meant to be condescending for people who like this fanon dynamic.

this is just me saying that i abhor said dynamic. DYNAMIC, not sirius. (read it again, if you're feeling like a keyboard warrior). for people who actually like regulus, it's perfectly understandable and VALID to feel pissed when he's been delegated to this weak, wet tissue character in favor of sirius. like, it's okay to feel pissed when you see your fave's canon story be torn apart and pieced back together as a skewed embellishment for another character's sake, AND to have this be the general fandom attitude to a canon-averse community that will never really know what's fanon or not.

lastly, what this post is not: an attempt to put regulus over sirius, or say how he's the better character. i'm merely pointing out character inconsistencies. at no point did i say regulus good; sirius bad.

TLDR: i hate how regulus has been made out to be this loser brother, because it's not even true especially when there's so many ways to strike up a contrast between them, that doesn't result in completely ruining him for sirius' sake. (The only time i soldier on when this is the dynamic, is when the story is morgan's. That's it.)

i agree with 95% of ur post, but just on a personal level, I love a good dad bruce fic. bc i grew up reading comics and the good dad bruce panels were few and far between, I love fanon content of him fixing his relationship with his kids, it heals my inner child lol

Hello! This is my first ask ever so excuse my excitement lol. In terms of fics that are strictly Canon, I have not found one yet. There are some fics that have some of those elements, but theyre slight enough that it doesnt ruin the whole story. But to be fair, I haven't been reading a whole lot lately as I am very busy with work and school. I will admit that I do have some guilty pleasure fics that are definitely not Canon. @lightwing-s is writing a series called "baby steps" that I have been loving as a guilty pleasure. I'm also on this forum on the DC universe infinite website and a friend of mine who lives near my dad writes REALLY GOOD redhood stories and her dream is to write for him as a DC writer. That's invite only but maybe one day, I'll ask her if I can share some of her writing. I also dont read a whole lot of fics that don't center around Jason Todd. I'm also into sickfics and hurt fics, mental health, that kind of stuff (unfortunately thats where most of the bruce calling jason sweetheart comes from 🤢) There are some fics that I do like :

Pinstripedjackalope on AO3 has a couple good jason sickfics that show jason and Roy in a platonic friendship as well. The Curse of a Turkey Sandwich and Stick the Landing are really good

I just recently read this fic with jason and rose wilson that I kind of enjoyed, but I'll admit it's a little offbrand for Rose. It's also on AO3, it's Respite by Creatchure

There's a fic I have wanted to read but haven't gotten a chance yet called Nyx the destroyer from the shadows by killkid001

There's also this fic on AO3 that I loved a lot about Jason and Tyler and their first night together after jason adopted him. It was really great but I just can't find it anywhere now.

That's all off the top of my head because I have the memory of a goldfish but I'll post some fic recs as I find them :)

The marriage between yourself and Prince Aegon had made you somewhat recoil at the prospect, you had known of his reputation, even in the Iron Islands, but your father had all but dragged you down the aisle to a man who most likely wouldn't care about you or your future children.

Ten months after you had been wed, you'd given birth to your first child, a son who had been born in the winter, you were sure Aegon would not be present in either yours or your child's life, leaving the raising of him to be dealt with Septa's and the like. It had surprised you to see the Prince take on such an active role. Perhaps he like you was not happy about the match but also viewed your child the same way you did — your own. At first, you had wondered how he'd react when the child had almost all of your features except his eye colour, he had got the purple eyes you so deeply adored.

It hadn't crossed your mind that Aegon would have sought out your child, especially so late into the night — you had assumed the man would have been drunk, he drank so much you often feared for him, though the seven-month-old babe was content as far as you could see, he was babbling to his father and while you felt as though you were being intrusive on such a tender father-son moment it had warmed your heart.

Aegon's voice was low and soft as he rocked the babe, your heart had fluttered as you watched on, not wanting to disturb the serene moment. Though it seemed you hadn't been as stealthy as you intended, as Aegon had looked up at you, most likely expecting a wet-nurse or someone from the council coming to disturb him.

He hadn't expected to find you or the nervousness that had possessed him, "would you like me to leave?" he'd asked as he switched from High Valyrian to the common tongue.

"Do you want to leave? Do you want me to leave?" You had asked, still standing in the doorway, ready to leave if Aegon chose to not have you within his presence.

"Both of those questions will get the same response from me — everything is easier when I'm in his presence." Aegon responded, alleviating your worries.

You hadn't spoken, instead you sat down on one of the chairs near the fire, it was wonderful seeing Aegon dote on your child, talking to him in interchanging High Valyrian and Westrosi, you doubted you would be believed if you had told another soul of his attitude towards both you and your child. Perhaps it was in the moments of sober clarity that he realised his need to be loved and for his family to care about him, but you rarely saw him drunk — that theory had felt unfounded.

Whether Aegon would continue to act this way or he would act as though his reputation deemed him to you wouldn't know, all you could hope is that your son had never found out the words spoken in hushed whispers about Aegon. You knew for certain you were happy in this moment of tranquillity, with the only sounds going through your head being the background noise of fire and your husband speaking. It had drifted you off into a slumber, content with life.

Long gone were the days when Aegon slept in on a weekend — his children wouldn't let him. Trading in the late night drives in his golden Toyota Supra he had named Sunfyre going at speeds which should have ended less favourably than they did for Saturday picnics in the park with his wife and children.

The prospect of being happy with his current life was a strange thought process to Aegon, he wasn't particularly monogamous in his youth and children weren't high on his priority list but looking at his children enjoying themselves — even if it was technology based which you complained about one too many times, he wouldn't have had it any other way.

"Earth to Aegon." Your hand was in front of his face, trying to gain his attention, "Did you listen to a word I just said?"

"Something about champagne and peaches?" Aegon had guessed, though with the look you threw him, he was certain he was wrong. "Nothing of the sort, then?"

"Not even close." You laughed, taking a bite of the strawberry within your hand, "I said I enjoy doing this with you... even if you don't pay attention to me." Your teasing of him had brought a smile to his lips,

"You're gonna be the death of me, y/n." Aegon couldn't complain about the topic for long, as soon as he finished his sentence, you had shoved a strawberry into his mouth.

"If you do choose to die, please do so quietly." With that, you had run off to chase your youngest child while Aegon watched on. His life trajectory had never been to what he has now. He couldn't imagine loving somebody more than himself, to actually genuinely care for somebody, but having two sons had changed him.

It was these type of moments that he appreciated the most, between the picnics, the mini-golf adventures in which his kids would decide to attack each other with golf clubs, the slow moments where you'd watch movies, and they'd be in awe, when his children decided to annoy Aemond and Alys' children which reminded him so much of his own youth. His favourite moment had happened when he was on holiday. It was sunset and you and your kids were passed out, it had made him realise how much he truly enjoyed the life he lived, how his children were so well cared for and how much he vowed himself to never be like his own father, the one who allowed the favouritism to almost destroy his family.

He was more than terrified he'd end up like his own father. The hatred he felt inside towards him and his indifference and noticeable absence within his life. With the way Aegon was from his personality to his addictions and vices, he had shocked himself with how present and in the moment he had lived his life. He was shocked at how much he wanted to be involved in with his children's lives, at how much joy and positivity they could bring to him, at how effortless they were to be around. He knew it wouldn't last forever, but he would cherish it while he could — even if that meant staring after his wife and youngest son were tumbling in the grass and all that could be heard from his older son were the sounds from whatever game he was playing.

man. my problem is that i’ve been obsessive over newsies for years now, but i’ve only recently gotten into the Newsies Fanwork Sphere, and so the side newsies i’ve built in my head are so insanely different than the accepted fanon versions. for example, here are some ideas that i’m Pretty Sure are not in the general newsies canon? but also i wouldn’t know:

wdym mike and ike are teenagers? they are twins who are 9-10 max.

crutchie race and finch are all the same age (17ish)

sniper is a girl (and/or afab nonbinary depending on how silly i’m feeling)

tommy boy and jojo are german w/ heavy accents

mush is a heavier smoker than race

henry is aromantic (but not ace!)

there’s some romantic tension between elmer tommy boy and jojo. nobody knows what that’s about

race is a pseudo caretaker for the littles. (cooking for them, getting them through wash day, making sure they’re all inside for the night, etc.)

the age order goes jack > henry > mush > crutchie > race > finch > elmer > tommy boy > jojo > romeo > sniper > specs > buttons > mike/ike. where’s kid blink? don’t ask me that i dont know

i cannot see anything else as canon bc i’ve built this little world up in my head for YEARS. help.

very random question incoming but since you know a lot about dps maybe you can finally help me find peace. it doesn't hurt to ask right..? (this turned out longer than anticipated sorry about that..)

do you have any clue how people pinpoint the exact birthdays (in neils case also death day) of dead poets society characters? i know they're in the wiki but like.. where did we get them? am i an idot? do they talk about that somewhere? in the script maybe? is it just a very popular headcanon that everyone decided is real?

people claim december 15th is the day Neil died. i looked at the document todd has to sign looking for a date and i can see 12-5-59 at the bottom right. that means december 5th is the day everyone had to sign, right?

that would make neils death day maybe (!) the 4th. which could make sense because that day was a friday (the play wouldnt be on a weekday right? december 15th 1959 was a tuesday..)

but then again they are most likely signing a week or so after neil died, which would put his death day in late november??

where does december 15th come from? is there some random interview? is it really really obvious? is it all fake? please help an idiot out..!

hello anon! hopefully i can provide a bit of clarity.

in terms of birthdays, they're all made up. the only birthday we're vaguely made aware of is todd's but we're not given an exact day. it's about mid-way through the movie, so i personally place it at the beginning of november, which is about halfway between the start and end of an autumn semester in the states. (i go with november third since that's ethan hawke's birthday, but to each their own).

the wiki isn't really the right place to look for like actual information about the movie because people just make shit up on it all the time. kind of annoying if you're actually trying to find out canon, but it's fandom wiki so we can't really stop it lol i personally disagree with most of the birthdays provided on the wiki (someone on there thinks pitts is a taurus when he's CLEARLY a capricorn /lh)

in terms of neil's death day, december fifteenth comes from neil's dad's calendar on his desk in the scene before his suicide. it's reeeaaallly grainy so it could be anything, but it looks like a teen number, and there aren't that many pages left on it. i had never seen the 12-5-59 date on the contract until this ask, so that definitely puts a hole in the december fifteenth thing, and i agree that a tuesday is a weird day to have the opening night of a play on. so it's two contradicting props.

but i think the suicide happening with snowfall and just before finals puts it more towards mid-december, though you could be right about it being more around thanksgiving (vermont gets snow starting in november)

to my knowledge that is the extent of the december fifteenth stuff. if there's any more, someone can reblog and add, but in short, it's basically fanon looking really deeply into props lol there's no interview, it's not in the script, it's really not that deep. if you think his suicide was late november, there's nothing that concrete to disprove it.

This is one of those fics that, even while your heart is hurting for the characters, makes you squeal with delight because it is so full of smart ideas, little details, and bits of characterization that subvert both canon and fanon interpretations.

Gorgeous writing, intense emotions, and a great understanding of the characters and their dynamic. The first part in particular floored me in a way that I didn't think could still happen to me after reading millions of words of Stucky fanfic. This story looked me in the eye and said "oh, so you think you've seen everything? You think you've become immune? Well, watch me as I tear your heart right out of your chest." To be fair, it then proceeded to slowly, gently put it back in again.

Like all of her works, this is a smart, mature and empathicly written story about people who've endured horrific things, but who've persisted and kept a tight grip on their own humanity even in the face of unspeakable atrocities. It's also funny, and tender, and hot. An incredibly satisfying read that reminds you to never lose your sense of wonder in the world.

followers, if you've been with me long enough, you know that i have quite strong opinions about how this show gets treated when it comes to interpretations and fandom/fanon. mostly, this is because i literally work in theater, and it's extremely backwards in my brain personally when shows get treated more like a movie or tv show than a performance piece.

im also one of the only ppl in this fandom that ever seems to dare speak on race (not the damn character smh). and anon, buddy, kiddo, this does have to do with race, gender, and sexuality.

firstly, what i think needs to be understood about newsies, is that it is theater, which means it is meant to be mutable. there is no one way. there should never be one way. it does not exist. secondly, theater does not exist in a fandom vacuum. its live every night, conceptually. theater is a live performance art.

interpretations change- it's the nature of theater. so i think asks like these really do illuminate the difference between fans of the show's content or fans of... i guess the show's culture's content.

this is a culture content ask.

one thing i really, truly, deeply need you all to understand: from an objective, script- and staging-based perspective, proshot sprace does not exist. they do not speak. they barely see each other. race does not even volunteer to go to brooklyn. the ship originates from the 1992 movie, where they do actually interact, which is why the ship has prevailed through the 90s to today. they're from the movie, not the musical.

of course, this doesn't bash the ship- it has history, and naturally fans want to create new history when they get a new source material (the musical). it's true for like every newsie ship lowkey (but also not lowkey because all the manhattan newsies do interact and sprace literally does not but thats a different post!!), which is something i do admire about the fandom- we do a lot of our own legwork here, we invent relationships and backgrounds from one-liners that could be given to tbh any frickin newsie. i respect the 30 years we have invented ships.

however.

when a huge, publicized, consistently sold out production comes along with spot conlon as not only a woman, but a woman of color (specifically black rn!) as the leader of the most feared group on stage, there becomes something much more important than a "sprace dynamic", which does not canonically exist in the musical anyway bro. you can't miss something that isn't there imo. often the story and casting within a story comes first, and goddamn if this isn't one of those times. lillie-pearl's spot brings bravado, swagger, confidence, and intimidation that is literally....fine maybe i'm being personal but it is slash gen incredible to see in technically a period piece! a black woman in leadership with that kind of assuredness! in such a popular musical! how is that not– automatically surpassing an often obsessed-over (yes i am. hinting at something here, straight girl fans) mlm ship?

and while i'm on the topic of the over-obsessiveness of mlm musical sprace, let me talk about uksies sprace. because what's also wack abt this ask is that sprace is not a hopeless case in this production- it literally has about as much 'evidence' as the proshot imo!!!!!

i got to hop over to 2nd row brooklyn seating for act 2 so i saw once and for all really close up, right. there's a moment when race is upstage letting the newsies in/down from the stairs. spot comes down and she does, in fact, share a look with him. race gives spot a nod and she keeps moving.

and like im gonna see the show again (every day i am counting my mf blessings fr), so if i'm wrong or they don't do it every time i'll correct myself, but that's what i saw with my own dang eyes on saturday. they do acknowledge each other in uksies.

and since they do, i really like. i have to ask. what is bothersome/unpopular abt uksies sprace, other than oh idk.... its not white/white mlm with a twink/manly bf trope? why can't race still love who spot is as a character, this strong and fearless ruler of brooklyn, in uksies? because tbh josh's racer...nahhhh because. this is such a side note now but they'd be so good together oh jesus am i gonna ship uk sprace. and it's not like they're 'taking away' from a queer ship because a) you can headcanon spot as a queer girl and race being trans is consistently popular and b) newsies has ten billion gayass ships bro we've been eatin for literal decades.

anon, i'm sure you didn't mean harm by this ask. i'm sure, honestly, that a lot of fans are feeling the same way as you and weren't quite sure how to put it in words. but, i'm also not surprised you sent an ask like this on anonymous specifically.

should you feel guilty about it? i don't think guilt is the right word. but i believe you should think more about how newsies is not.....static. it does not exist in one form, and it never will. if you're feeling genuinely let down that your ship did not see the light of day and a black girlsie spot conlon got to instead, then yes, you should reevaluate that. in theater, you should always question why something impacted you the way it did- a major point of theater is to discuss and think about it when you leave! i know this because ive spent three years literally studying it, to back up my thesis credentials.

Uh- who?

Aka a deep dive of sorts on the character formerly known as Eclipse, who I'm going to dub Pseudo-Eclipse(is there a popular new name for him?) and the stuff that followed. Spoilers for part of Security Breach Ruin

Who is Pseudo-Eclipse: Most people who have the Daycare Attendant as their favorite character(s) know who this is, but even now there's probably some fans who don't know(or, if they do, don't know the fully situation)

In Security Breach there's an arcade cabinet in the Daycare Attendant's room called Balloon World

In the game you play as Balloon Boy and try to stay floating as long as possible. The game is similar to Flappy Bird, but with a few differences. One of the important ones is the day/night cycle, with Sun and Moon in the background of their respective times of day

Another difference is the purple glitches which, if touched, lead to this weird glitchy world

If you follow the weird line of glitchy squares, eventually the trail will end and this will happen

After a few seconds of this screen(which isn't a still image, but I wanted a good shot of the "good night" messages) the arcade game crashes and you get sent back to the Daycare Attendant's room

This (sorta)character eventually became known as Eclipse to the Daycare Attendant side of the fandom(I don't know how well known it is outside of that group)

Why this interpretation: Why was he called Eclipse by most of the fandom? Why was he usually called a fusion? Some people called it something related to Sun and/or assumed he was Sun if he was infected by Glitchtrap, but those people were in the minority

Well here's a clearer look at Pseudo-Eclipse's sprite. While he has Sun's rays, his face is obviously Moon's(Sun also has a grinning sprite, but Moon's smile seems closer to it). Almost like Moon is right in front of Sun, aka

an eclipse(specifically an annular eclipse). Which would explain the odd coloring(due to the moon's lack of light to reflect and the ring of fire) and the background(the redder color of the sky mixed with the virus' purple)

So because of that, he was called Eclipse. And while it's unclear if Moon is just in front of Sun or if Pseudo-Eclipse is one (fused)entity, it's funner to imagine it as a character

Fanon: interpretations of Pseudo-Eclipse can vary wildly in design, personality, and origin. But one common personality I see is him being depicted as evil, which makes sense because of the implied connection to Glitchtrap. There's also quite a few who depict Pseudo-Eclipse as a middle ground between the two(one could argue Eclipse works in a similar way)

The way he shows up also differs depending on the universe. In works that are more similar to canon, I've seen it show up in specific lighting conditions, be a security mode, or just come from the arcade. In aus where Sun and Moon are separate beings I've seen Pseudo-Eclipse be a sibling, some other relative, or just a dude that's entirely unconnected to them. Funnily enough, I haven't seen many people depict it as an actual fusion

One trait I've seen in a lot of fan designs is him having 4 arms(I even ran a poll for it, a majority of the voters preferred 4 arms), though I did see a cool design that gave him 6 arms. This fits with his nature as a glitch/fusion/generally odd being

However, while "Eclipse" quickly became a fusion name(as well as its own character in some way pre-Ruin), some designs seemed to forget or not notice why Pseudo-Eclipse was called that in the first place. I've also seen designs that, while obviously based on the arcade glitch, take a lot of creative liberties

On the more astronomy-accurate-arcade-inaccurate side of Pseudo-Eclipse designs, I've seen a lot of people make it look more like a partial eclipse than an annular one. This fits with the Daycare Attendant's half and half design and is possibly what Steel Wool chose to do with Eclipse(though it may be a coincidence)

There's also those who make Eclipse more purple/blue? Some of the designs may be based on other types of eclipses, but aside from a possible Sun-design-Moon-color for balance reasons(astronomy accuracy be damned), I'm not sure why this is

On the other side of the coin, there's those who decided to make ocs and/or other fusions

Fan characters: Pseudo-Eclipse was able to open the door to other ideas for eclipse-based designs that weren't supposed to be the arcade glitch or your average fusion. One that I've only seen a few times is fans noticing that Pseudo-Eclipse is an annular eclipse and making a design based off of a total eclipse

Another Sun-based design is "Solar Eclipse", despite Pseudo-Eclipse already being one of those. Accuracy varies, but these tend to be on the more accurate side and I've seen ones based on annular and partial eclipses. There's also those who call the "Nice Eclipse" from The Sun and Moon Show this, despite him looking like a weird Sun most of the time

But the thing about Pseudo-Eclipse is that he mostly looks like Sun. So the idea of a Moon-based design, aka Lunar Eclipse, became a thing. These designs are usually pretty blue, probably meant to mirror Pseudo-Eclipse's orange. They usually have a nice personality, possibly because of Pseudo-Eclipse usually being depicted as evil. A popular example of this is Lunar from The Sun and Moon Show

These designs are nice, but most of them are in a similar boat to several fan designs for Pseudo-Eclipse. Because while lunar eclipses do exist, this isn't an "astronomy accurate" design. Though in my experience, some people will probably be more familiar with another name for a lunar eclipse

aka, a blood moon. Which is also the name of some fan characters, though the most popular one is probably from The Sun And Moon Show

Despite both being lunar eclipses, Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse don't seem to have any connection beyond them both working/having worked with SAMS-Eclipse

Ruin(ed) tags: When the ruin dlc came out, Daycare Attendant fans were blessed with a canon Eclipse(who is a wonderful character, but not the topic of this post)

But all good things come at a cost and this is no exception. While Eclipse is the main one showing up in search results and tags, Pseudo-Eclipse still appears a lot. On top of that, as of now there's no real way to search for(or stop seeing) Pseudo-Eclipse content and without any pictures it can be hard to tell which one a person is talking about(I don't know how ao3 users are doing, but I imagine it's a similar story over there)

"Glitch Sun" seems to be one people like(use of this name goes back to 2022), but while it may be getting more popular it's not nearly as well known as "Eclipse. It also assumes that Pseudo-Eclipse is Sun, which a lot of people disagree with. This interpretation may get more popular thanks to Ruin, but it doesn't really work for those who still view Pseudo-Eclipse as a eclipse and don't want to call it a sun

I've also seen tags used for specific au versions of Pseudo-Eclipse and The Sun And Moon Show. While designs vary, several are accurate or inaccurate enough for a lot of fans. However, these are specific characterizations of him with specific origins. Not to mention the specific settings and lore. However, too many of these would defeat the purpose of using specific tags to filter stuff out

One fan name I've seen suggested is referring to Eclipse as a lunar eclipse and Pseudo-Eclipse as a solar eclipse. But they're both obviously solar eclipses or at least solar eclipse adjacent. Also, it would just turn into "which Lunar are they talking about" for those who post about Lunar Eclipse

Ruin: While fans love Eclipse(and hopefully Steel Wool will give it more attention), that doesn't mean they're done with Pseudo-Eclipse. And neither is the game

As I mentioned in a previous post, while the arcade game is broken and unplayable in Ruin, if you look up in the room and wait a few seconds while wearing the rabbit mask

it's still there. So, that begs the question of who this is. While we know that he's connected to Glitchtrap/the Mimic's virus and is most likely not a sun, there's not a lot to work with

But at the end of the day, he's just a neat little easter egg character that fans grew attached to. It may not have a major place in the lore, but he still left a big impact

I'm excited to finish writing Chapter 24 because Buck and Eddie are married and the Diaz family is starting the second half of their two-week long European family adventure. For anyone who hasn't read Chapters 22 and 23, here's a brief overview. In Chapter 22, Buck and Eddie got married, Chris was their best man and Eddie successfully surprised Buck with all the things he had planned for him including a three-tier wedding cake. Their honeymoon started that night and they had an important conversation before they consummated their marriage. In Chapter 23, they left Rome the day after their wedding and proceeded to visit 5 other cities for the remainder of their time in Italy. By the end of it, they agreed to continue speaking Italian even after they return to the U.S. because while they were in San Gimignano, they made a decision that could affect the course of their family's lives forever. What was the decision? 👀

Here's a snippet from Chapter 24 of Buck and Eddie being romantically fluffy Christmas night.

It’s after 10 o’clock, Chris is in his room sleeping while Buck and Eddie are lying on the sofa quietly resting. Eddie’s on his back and Buck’s whole body is draped on top of his. His legs are in between Eddie’s and his head is lying on top of Eddie’s chest. Eddie’s rubbing circles onto Buck’s back and Buck’s listening to Eddie’s heartbeat. It's a familiar position and it's one they've been in hundreds of times when they're at home but they're in London, England right now and they've adjusted to the time zone change and everything else very well.

The TV is on but neither of them are paying it any attention and the Christmas music is still playing too but the volume on the Bluetooth speakers is so low they can barely hear which song is playing.

They’ve had a relatively relaxing Christmas Day with three awesome meals and they spent the entire day doing family activities like singing Christmas songs and watching Christmas movies together. It’s their first Diaz Family Christmas for just the three of them and everything went perfectly.

Chris was happy with all the gifts they got him and they were overjoyed with their gifts from him too. The video of them cutting their wedding cake was a huge surprise and now that they have it on their phones and iPads, they’re going to add it to the video of their marriage ceremony from Leonardo so it will be a continuous video instead of two separate ones.

While he lightly runs his fingers up and down Eddie’s arm, Buck lifts his head, sits his chin on top of Eddie’s chest and says, “Babe?”

“Hmm?” He hums as he meets his husband’s eyes.

“I know we didn’t talk about getting each other Christmas presents but uh… I got you something.”

Eddie raises his eyebrows. “You did?”

“Yes. I did but since I um… just got the confirmation for it last night, I didn’t have time to get it ready for today so… there’s no wrapping paper or anything but when I get the official one, I’ll make sure to wrap it in a box so you can open it.” He replies as he reaches over to the table to grab his phone.

“What did you get me?”

“It’s something special just for you.” He responds as he looks at his phone and Face ID unlocks. Once it does, he accesses his email, finds the one he’s looking for, expands the screen with two of his fingers then he turns his phone around so Eddie can read it.

He watches as his husband reads the email and he sees his eyes widen when he gets to the part that explains what it is.

Eddie bites his bottom lip, looks at his husband and whispers, “Buck?” but his voice is so low, he almost misses it. If he wasn’t looking right at him, he believes he would have.

After a few seconds, Eddie continues, “You did this for me?”

“I did because you deserve it.” He moves so he can sit up and after he does, he waits for Eddie to sit up too. Once they’re both sitting up, they move closer so they’re pressed together from their shoulders to their knees.

He leans in and places a soft kiss onto his lips then he takes Eddie’s free hand in his, laces their fingers together and continues. “Babe… you do so much for our family, you sacrifice a lot and you work so hard and you deserve something that’s just for you.”

Eddie slowly nods and he’s about to respond but Buck keeps talking.

“Before we left L.A., when I asked you what you wanted to do while we were in London, you said all you wanted was for me and Chris to be happy but babe… me and Chris want you to be happy too. Us seeing you happy and doing things you want to do make us happy too.”

He nods again because it’s true, all he wants is for his family to be happy so he gently squeezes Buck’s hand as he tries to blink away the tears that have welled behind his eyes. He allows his husband’s words to settle in his mind and he never would have thought in a million years someone would do anything like this for him but Buck not only knows him and sees him; he listens to him too. He understands everything about him and the email he just finished reading further proves how much Buck loves, knows and cares about him.

While holding Buck’s gaze he says, “But… this is a...”

What did Buck get Eddie for Christmas? 👀

Also, did Eddie get Buck something for Christmas too? 🙃

I’m really glad that people in the TMNT fanbase have finally started calling out the insistence that 2012 Splinter is irredeemably abusive. As well as how the criticism comes across as racist. The way the character is depicted in the show versus the way he is often depicted in fan content is like night and day. I’m open to different fan interpretations, but I’ve seen an insane amount of fans confidently state that he’s canonically abusive. And this is one of the worst misinterpretations of canon I’ve ever seen in fanon.

2012 Splinter was raised in Japan, and seems to take on a more East Asian style of parenting. He’s stricter with his sons, but usually when they put themselves or their brothers in danger. However, I would say that he’s far more gentle and understanding than anything else. And I would like to clarify that reasonably disciplining your kids and teaching them right from wrong is not abusive. That’s what it means to be a parent. Never correcting misbehavior is another form of abuse, one that borders on neglect.

Another thing to consider is that he’s in a very unique situation. Splinter and the turtles are mutants. They will never be accepted by society and will always be seen as monsters; he knows this. He teaches his sons how to fight so they can defend themselves in a world that will try to hunt them down and kill them. He has nightmares about his sons dying. The show explores the terror he faces as a parent, which is something he’s already experienced with the loss of his daughter and wife.

Splinter is devastated and relieved to find that Miwa is alive. He loves her as his daughter, but that doesn’t mean he no longer sees the turtles as his sons. He views them as being his children just as much as his biological child. He clarifies this to Leonardo. The reason I love TMNT so much as a franchise is because it’s one of the few pieces of media that explores familial love within an adopted family. And TMNT 2012 constantly reiterates that family can look unconventional and does not need to be bound by blood.

Splinter is a realistic depiction of a parental figure. Most parents in media are either abusive or perfect with no in-between. Splinter is the type of parent who tries his best but still makes mistakes. In real life, there is no such thing as a perfect parent. Even the kindest parents are going to make mistakes from time to time. But my favorite thing about Splinter is that he almost always owns up to his mistakes. Rather than doubling down or pretending he did nothing wrong, he admits his wrongdoing and apologizes. And that’s way better than a lot of parents.

I don’t want to get too personal, but I grew up with several abusive adults in my life. I know firsthand what it’s like to experience very violent abuse at the hands of an adult. It fucked me up and I’m still recovering from it. Pretty much none of those adults ever admitted wrongdoing or grew as a person. In their eyes, they were always in the right and I deserved what I was getting. I would’ve loved to have a patient and kind adult in my life like 2012 Splinter.

Abuse looks different for everyone, and I don’t want to imply my experiences are universal. But as someone who did grow up in that environment, it’s upsetting to see people blow Splinter’s actions out of proportion in order to validate their dislike of a him. To me, it feels like fans are using the abuse as a tool to make their opinions look morally correct. As a writer, I understand making alternate universes to amp up the angst potential. But insisting that fanon is canon is where I draw the line, especially when it comes to willfully misinterpreting a character.

I think one that has the potential to end up being a meaningful death would be Hoshiguma or Swire. Note that I don't dislike them, far from it, I just think the death of either would shake things up for the LGD gang's dynamics in a compelling way.

knowing Outcast's fate has made it difficult for me to start catching up on Act 2, haha. but not enough to rage-quit. if i had to say... Blaze. her hypothetically dying at this point would be for cheap shock value alone.

what Kiryu and Majima end up having: a bittersweet, tenuous rivalry that at the same time is lined by an understanding that only they are allowed to kill each other, no one else.

gavial is half serious, half gag character. that gag half protects her from any serious harm a horror movie villain could do to her.

Which Version Of Megatron Is The Supreme Hottest Husbando Mech Ever…?

my second weirdest poll that I ended up making on here…

and yeah this will be my second poll I made on tumblr.

March 11, 2024 is the day well really night(well the next day now, because I ran into a bit of a problem when getting this ready to post so technically this would be posted on March 12...well unless it is still March 11 on some parts even when this ends up being posted, I mean for all know it might still have the March 11 but I'm not sure.)…ended up being made.

and yes I was being really weird with this, this even includes the Hazformers AU of TFA Megatron, that is a Crossover AU between Transformers Animated, Hazbin Hotel and possibly Helluva Boss.

so this poll has two versions of TFA-Megatron, and one of them being from the Hazformers AU that is by Blitzy-Blitzwing.

this doesn't include all versions of Megatron from the different Canon and Fanon Timelines, only a few of them ended up being chosen for this poll.

so anyway, have fun picking which Megatron you think is "The Supreme Hottest Husbando Mech Ever"

the poll duration is 1 week, so there will be plenty of time for those who end up seeing this poll, to choose and vote.

don't know how many will end up seeing this and I'm not sure how many will vote in the poll for this, but I guess it's fine if it's not that many, but I still hope some see this and do pick one of the choices.

I'm weird and I think some of the polls I make will be weird, like the first one that had to do with Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel and Devil from Cuphead, that happen to do with "Adorkable Apple Goober"…
