okay, i know i've talked about this stuff ad nauseum, but i'm doing replies with her right now and i'm having a ton of feelings, so let a sad bitch cry about her healer birb bby. this is gonna be a tough read, bc, well, her.

Just the fact that Mahia was 12 when everything went down. Just 12. Up until that point, she was a happy child. Had a loving family, if a little strict. Had her whole life laid out for her, was deep into her training to become a healer, just like many of the other Gifted kids in the village. It was what she wanted to do, had her heart set on it. She was having fun, running through the woods, splashing in streams, going to festivals in the village square, causing mischief with her younger brother, Danin. Just being, for all metrics on her world, a normal kid.

And then everything fell apart when her brother was killed by a wild animal, during a hunt gone wrong... his first out with their father, like an initiation. She'd seen him off that morning with the rest of the hunting party... and was the first to spot her father carrying his body home. And she couldn't cry. Wasn't allowed to. In her culture, crying for the dead is a disrespect. It's seen as basically spitting in the face of the Ancestors, their deities... as though implying that the person loved wasn't given enough time. Questioning the will and plans of the higher powers. 12 years old, she'd just lost her only sibling. Her best friend, and partner in childish crime. And she was punished for crying. Couldn't even outwardly mourn him.

And, then, only a few short months later --- while she was still silently grieving Danin --- the attack happened. And she watched friends, and neighbors, and family, get gunned down. Saw her home burning. Was rounded up with all the surviving children of the village and carted away in the dark, to another world. To the Lab. She watched the lifeless bodies of her friends wheeled past her every couple weeks, twisted and changed and only barely recognizable. And all the while, she was being stripped apart, too. Wings grafted on and organs removed, all without any form of anesthesia... she'd just pass out from the pain and wake up back in her holding cell, a little less human than when she'd been dragged from it, hours before. And just wondering, every time she heard those footsteps coming, if she was going to wake up this time. Or if it was her body that was going to be wheeled out, next.

And when she finally, 6 months of torture later, managed to escape the cell and stowaway on a ship... with a crew that were actually good people... she got brought back home, and was hoping against all odds that things would be okay. Maybe some of her family had, somehow survived. And ended up burying the charred remains of her own parents, and all others who died, on the edge of her village. It was a rushed job. She didn't have time to do any kind of required funeral rites for any of them, so she doesn't even know if her loved ones were allowed into the afterlife. Or if that's just another way she failed them.

And then got dropped off on Earth. Still a child. Still 12 years old. And had to fend for herself... nights in the cold, hungry, running from wild animals, learning how to fly with the wings she wanted so badly to cut off, hiding from everyone. Only to find out she was being chased by a group sent specifically after her by the Lab. To bring her back, dead or alive. Ended up killing one of them in a panic. A swing of her dagger --- pulled from the wreckage of her village --- slashing the Hunter's throat and she ran, and could hear him choking to death on blood behind her, and damn, if she can't still hear that awful sound sometimes. So, she took a life. Which was viewed as one of the worst crimes in her culture, self-defense or otherwise.

Truly believes she's been abandoned by the deities she prayed to her whole life, because she's so far from home, no longer fully human, and has taken a life... cut off from them. Cut off from any hope of seeing her family, again, if they were even allowed into the afterlife. But, she has to keep going. Because giving up or dying means letting her home's memory die. And it means letting those who took her apart win.

Mahia Emerga, who cannot allow herself to die, cannot live, cannot exist in the world she's always flying so far above. Hiding in forests, doing her best to heal others who need it, to atone for the damage she's done, and all her failures. She needs to survive, but sometimes she can't even tell if she's alive anymore.

chica truly meant it multiple times during the night when she would say she only wanted to help gregory ; but wasn't able to shake william/burntrap's influence/voice in her head telling her she needed to grab him & hurt/bring him to the basement .

girl LOVES her pizza but only has issues with eating out of the trash as shown in game when she's having trouble with her systems & isn't fully in control of her actions ; otherwise bby don't be always eating from the trash I PROMISE .

chica is CLUMSY AF for a literal robot . you'll catch this bird brain tripping over her own two feet , stumbling into staff bots , or stumbling off stage after a performance REGULARLY .

LOVES the kiddos so so so much— she gets genuinely sad when the kids all leave & the mall closes down for the night , & is by far always the MOST EXCITED when they open back up in the morning & have to start rehearsals before the kids & their parents start arriving .

closest definitely with freddy ( @glamurso ) & bonnie ( @glamtokki ) prior to bonnie's decomossioning ; became close/is getting closer with roxanne ( @gl4mwolf ) over time , & doesn't have a very good relationship with monty at all ( she's SUS AF of him & tbh is honestly scared of him hearing him raging in his dressing room all the time ) . she's also very close with foxy ( @piratefxy ) , regularly visiting him in pirates cove to keep him company .

has faint memories of the past chica's from having old parts from each old chica model that lead to small bits of remnant from each to rub off on her ; though she can't fully grasp everything until after learning of afton & his awful plans + vanny .

uhm, i dont know if you’ve already answered an ask like this and i hope this doesn’t bother you but what can i do if my mind tries to go back to the old story? it’s just that i feel amazing and like my manifestations are coming and the next day i feel awful and like nothing is working. i really try to fix my self-concept but i feel like i’m not doing it right and my brain feels all heavy and bad and i don’t like it. what should i do? i really want to feel confident for real and go into the void because i’m shifting to a reality i want and i just feel like i’m losing time and super anxious every passing day :( your help would be super appreciated <3

hey bby!!! you don’t bother me at all and actually i’ve experienced the state you are right now, if you ask my bff @holygirl2000 she’ll tell you that i’ve been honestly ranting in our chat about how i was so so desperate to shift and this and that but the thing is: let it go.

you don’t need to affirm 24/7 or do something that feels like a burden for you to actually manifest what you want, you just need to enter the desired state and be delusional af! this is something that neville talks about all the f-ing time but only few of us seems to truly get it and then we fall into the trap of “why i don’t see my manifestations in the 3d 😭”.

from someone who’s recovering from the same state i advise you: try as much as possible to enter your desired state, even if you still need to do you daily chores tell you subconscious you are already in your desired reality, take a deep breath letting the new story come in and exale leaving behind every worry you might have. (i.e. last week i traveled to visit my mom bc she moved really far away from me, while on the bus i ignored completely that i was hating the fact that my mom moved that far and actually told myself i was traveling to a dance competition, since in my dr i’m a dancer ever since i was a kid) leave the 3d behind because it’s just a reflection, it has no power on it’s own!!!

now that i finally get it, i almost entered the void last night just because i wanted to test it, i don’t feel like rushing to shift bc duh im already perceiving my desired reality and i am feeling so confident in who i am and what i’m perceiving that the 3d doesn’t bother me at all.

reader (lets call her buttercup) works at the local library, reads to the little kids, listens to the older folk talk about their past loves, all that shit

Penny's ranch is doing something with the library for whatever reason and she sends Bob over to talk to the head librarian and that's when he sees buttercup and the man is in love

he notices the book she's reading (idk something cute, I can't remember the last time I read a book 💀 ooh! maybe the princess bride) and is like "oh, okay"

cue Bob stopping by the library any chance he gets, and he talks to buttercup but acts like he just needs help finding stuff bc he's shy, and books magically appearing on buttercup's desk 🤭

they're the same books she's reading but they're all annotated, like cute passages are highlighted and thoughts are scribbled in the margins

AND THEN new books that buttercup isn't even reading start showing up with little sticky notes like "____ reminds me of you" etc.

and buttercup's like "who is this sweet and thoughtful person" and starts falling in love with his thoughts and feelings on the books bc Bob's in his secret admirer era

Clemence Father

JONAH’S ROUTE JUST CAME OUT ON IKEREV TW AND I’M ON PART 12 AND I RLLY WANNA CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY HARM TO JONAH AND LUKA’S FATHER RN. I TALKED ABOUT HIM BEFORE ON LUKA’S EVER AFTER POST HERE BUT NOW IMMA TALK ABOUT IT AGAIN BC BELIEVE IT OR NOT, HE’S AN EVEN BIGGER ASSHOLE IN JONAH’S ROUTE.

BUT ANYWAYS HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED.

SPOILERS FOR JONAH’S EVER AFTER UNDER THE CUT

(ps the screenshots all have that orange recording button bc i want to look at them without having to go through the entire route again. sorry if they’re kinda annoying!)

Aight, so Jonah proposed to MC (well, he kinda just announced that MC is his fiancee from now on but whatever), and he decided to bring her to the Clemence house for this party to meet the family. Luka was there as well, standing in a corner. MC kinda wanted to join him in the corner as well, but Jonah dragged her off to meet his relatives. But they all seemed to dislike MC because she’s not from a good background.

Then, this dude enters the scene:

[Translation:

A dignified-looking man walked over here, looking at me, who is standing by Jonah, in surprise.]

And then, when Jonah goes to introduce MC as his fiancee, his father cuts him off by saying that he never heard of Jonah having a fiancee before. Like, Jonah was in the middle of a super serious and sincere introduction and his father just interrupted like that in a super cold voice. I was already starting to dislike him at this point, but I didn’t wanna fight him just yet.

Also, here’s something that kinda surprised me:

[Translation:

(His looks seemed to be similar to Luka’s, but his disposition...

(It seemed to be 50 times scarier than Jonah when I first met him...)]

I found it kinda weird how Luka actually took after him in terms of looks more than Jonah did??? Like, my original headcanon was that Luka didn’t actually look very similar to his father, which could be part of why he was ignored so much, but I guess he was ignored even when he looks like his father. Ouch.

Also, whenever the Clemence father makes an appearance, the thing that MC talks about the most is how scary/stern his disposition is. He must be someone really ruthless to warrant that kind of description.

After that, his father goes on to guess that Jonah had made the decision to bring MC without consulting anyone in his family because he knew that his decision would be opposed. I suppose that Jonah’s father does know him quite well, but it actually unsettles me more, because he seems to have no regard for the effect he has on his sons. Like, Jonah literally had to fight to keep his head up under such pressure.

So Jonah goes on to explain why he chose not to tell anyone about it, but his father interrupts him AGAIN with this huge speech about how the Clemence bloodline cannot be mixed with a bloodline of unknown origins. They have kept his tradition for hundreds of years, and that every single heir has accepted this fact and chose to marry someone of high social standing.

Jonah, naturally, was pretty angry, and told his father that he has gone too far. But guess what? This dude ignores him YET AGAIN and tries to convince MC to marry Levie instead of Jonah. Seriously. No wonder Jonah never listens to anyone else if this was the role model he had. I’m really starting to grit my teeth at this point.

Also, something concerning is how Jonah’s father knew that Levie is after MC, since that was classified information. Jonah confronts him about him, but he brushes it off by saying that he was the former Queen of Hearts and he has all the information sources he need. I wonder how powerful he was when he was Queen if he was still so influential in his retirement. And yeah, he totally strikes me as the sort of guy who would order Claudius to assassinate people...

But anyways, Jonah’s father tells him that he’ll pretend as if he heard nothing and walks off, even though Jonah tried to tell him that he wasn’t finished yet. What a guy.

Jonah leaves MC with Luka and goes after his father. Luka takes MC to his room and tells her something really sweet. He tells her that to trust “that guy” (Jonah) and to wait for him, which really showed his reliance on his older brother. Like, even though he rejects Jonah a lot and avoids him, deep down inside he still believes in Jonah.

And after a few parts we get a flashback where Jonah recalls the conversation he had with his father after he goes after him, and this is where my blood starts boiling.

So the Clemence father reminds Jonah, in a pretty harsh way, that when he had rejected marriage alliances in the past, he has always said that he’ll find someone better. He then goes on to call MC “that kind of person” (as in, a person of low birth and social standing), and Jonah gets pretty mad at him for that:

[Translation:

Jonah: Even if you’re my father, I cannot allow you to call her “that kind of person”...!

Clemence Patriarch: Don’t change the topic!

Hearing his father’s roar of fury, Jonah wasn’t scared in the slightest, and instead glared fierily back at him.]

I find it kinda interesting how the game refers to Jonah and Luka’s father as “the Clemence Patriarch” instead of “Clemence Father” or something. That would probably make more sense, because the term “Patriarch” can refer to a grandfather, an uncle, a cousin, etc., not necessarily a father. But I guess this highlights how his identity as a patriarch is prioritized before his identity as a father.

And then this scene happens:

[Translation:

Clemence Patriarch: Whatever you say! There is nothing more to say, get out.

Clemence Patriarch: In order to prevent the failure of the first, we still have a second.

Clemence Patriarch: I will disown you as my son, and make Luka the heir of the family, and then he’ll be the one to marry a high-born noble lady.]

DUDE WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT??????????? YOU CAN’T JUST DECIDE THAT YOUR SON IS A FAILURE WHEN HE DOES ONE (1) THING AGAINST YOUR WILL AND TOSS HIM OUT AND MAKE YOUR OTHER SON THE HEIR???????????????????

Honestly he makes Jonah and Luka sound so expendable, and that’s really not okay. They’re human beings, his own SONS, not an object to be thrown away when it served its use. Like, if I had any doubts about why Luka left his family before, this scene just explained everything. Who would want this guy as their parent?????

And of course, as the best nii-sama in the world, Jonah caves.

[Translation:

Even though he wanted to follow through with his own ideals, he couldn’t let his important brother, Luka, be sacrificed.

Not only would Luka have to bear the burden as the heir, a burden that he has been bearing for many years,

And he would marry some lady who he has never met before, this absolutely cannot happen!

Jonah: Just this one thing...please don’t do it.

Jonah could only bend to his father’s will.]

JONAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY POOR BBY LET ME GIVE YOU A HUG (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ

He’s literally in an impossible position right now. If he wants to marry the love of his life, he would have a sacrifice his precious brother, and if he wants to protect his brother, he would have to sacrifice his fiancee. If he wants to keep them both safe, then the only real solution would be to leave the Clemence family.

Come on, Cybird. Y’all made him turn against the Red Army in his original route and now you’re making him turn against his family now??? When will the torture for Jonah and his stans ever end??????????

And here’s a few other lines from the Clemence Patriarch to disgust you:

Clemence Patriach: As long as the Clemence bloodline is protected, I don’t care if the heir is you or Luka.]

Istg this dude is the worst parent in the Red Army, and the Red Army is already brimming with awful parenting skills. Lancelot’s father pretty much neglected him and Edgar’s uncle straight-up abused him, but you could still tell that they cared about their sons in their own little twisted ways. Lancelot’s father eqipped him with all the skills he would need to be King, and Claudius took all responsibility for the Bright family business in the end, protecting Edgar. And then we have the Clemence father who’s all like: i MaDE TwO kIDS foR a reASoN anD ThAt iS To HAVE ONE OF THEM REPLACE THE OTHER/USING ONE OF THEM TO THREATEN THE OTHER IF THEY MESS UP. ALSO NEITHER OF THEM MATTERS APPARENTLY BC THEY’RE BOTH JUST TOOLS FOR CARRYING ON THE BLOODLINE.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE.

I get that this is only part 12 and he’s probably going to have a redemption scene or at least some whitewashing at the end, but STILL. I really, really, really, really, really don’t like Jonah and Luka’s father.

- i’d unfortunately come across the name Ianthe a few times on tumblr, way more than any other non Gideon or Harrow name, so I knew to keep an eye out for her (in every meaning of the word, ohohoho), which spoiled the reveal about her importance a little

- knew harrow was going to be my fave at the early reveal of Baby Harrow, Age Ten, Hiding The Fact Her Parents Are Dead By Animating Their Corpses.

- that moment at the end of gtn when Corona is wailing bc Ianthe didn’t take her, and you go oh so it’s MUCH MORE incesty than merely the vibes in ianthe’s dialogue, huh

- (me, when the plot of gtn goes on and corona folds every time ianthe takes a decision: *eyes emoji*)

- the homestuck energy is off the charts, i love it. it’s so baroque and the characters are so funny and we are definitely on bad guys’ side!

- necrolord prime, please, sir, is it not enough that you are an immortal emperor with armies of necromancers deploying 15y-olds on the frontlines to keep your empire expanding? necrolord prime????? (he is awful, like the vast majority of this cast, i love him)

- OH HELLO ACT V PART 2

- the previous lyctors are ancestors, in homestuck vibes

- in homestuck vibes: bby harrow with her dead parents she moves around like puppets. that’s a lusus thing. that’s a terezi thing. (rose as a troll gets terezi things.)

- still in homestuck vibes, dearly love the fragmentary world-building and the fact that it’s all horrible (15y-olds on the frontlines!!!!), but culturally speaking it’s taken for granted. we don’t see ppl going on rants on how it’s Unhealthy or Wrong. we do get Gideon realizing it’s jarring, after all, to imagine these kids in a war! but that’s very different

- john is a fantastic akio figure. his take on adulthood and what he’s peddling is very different from what akio did, but he’s the character most obviously buying into gendered roles and expectations? the way he talks about his thing with “Annabel Lee” is nothing but expected. (It’s only through what others tell us, especially Augustine, that we know there’s a lot more to it.)

- ianthe never met a bad decision she didn’t want to take home, i’m not even disappointed or surprised or angry, either at her or at myself. ofc she was going to side with god. (probably so she can vanquish him herself later and set herself up as goddess empress, i’m sure she thinks she can fix things better that he can) (i am extremely curious about the things ianthe sees when she screams. what does she see in the river?) (i hope she lets corona save her.)

- (IANTHE LYING TO HARROW ABOUT NOT SEEING THE CORPSE THOUGH Y I K E S. Ianthe (derogatory)!!!!!!)

- absolutely loved the dream bubbles, LOVED that characters who weren’t explored/were sidelined early got their chance here!!

- nothing could have prepared me for Ortus getting a dignity and nuanced characterization and all that in htn, and i <333333333

- there’s an entire thing about the way fiction and memory and history and reality affect one another, especially in htn - it’s a malleable thing, Harrow’s memory is malleable and Ortus’ poem recalls a version of Matthis Nonius that isn’t who the man was, but how he’s remembered. “Is this how it happens?” Abigail the historian not letting Harrow get lost in alternate facts. And that reminds us to be careful of John’s version of Alecto, of BoE’s version of the facts, but also it’s beautiful. we make stories out of things and we make myth.

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha

First of all as a person who reads monster shit- hell ya. Mhm. That’s some good shit right there. That was DELICIOUS horror. It actually had me a bit nervous and afraid to read what was gonna happen next 😳

ty nonnie!! i didn’t have the right space for it, but after kohsuke was ripped apart and eaten kuroo stayed by the reader’s side until late in the night, only disappearing when he heard the reader’s parents/search party approaching. they found her lying in pools of blood (and scattered half eaten body parts), shaking and unresponsive – they knew no animal could’ve done something like that. so they knew something lurked in those woods, but considering the reader had repressed the memories, her mom couldn’t just come out and say it <33

Ok so New Years’ would ALWAYS be spent in their parents’ home right? This year is no exception

So you’re having lady talk w Mama Miya (hehe get it?) when the door opens

For someone who runs a business Osamu Miya sure likes to take his sweet time

N e ways you go over to greet Samu n his wife, Erin, you see something shuffle in her arms???

Had to discreetly ask Atsumu when Osamu had his child and this bitch really forgot to tell you about his whole ass nephew like,, 2 months ago

Erin assures you that it’s alright! Bc She and Osamu were thinking of making it as discreet as possible

Both of you begin to bitch talk your boyfriend

Atsumu’s just quiet in the corner while Papa Miya interrogates Osamu just to make sure he’s treating his wife right

"Do you want to hold him..?” Erin asks

“N-” you’re about to decline when your eyes drift to mother and child peering at you hopefully with innocent and wide eyes. How could you say no? You bite your tongue and nod instead

*le sigh

Erin carefully shifts bby Natsuki into your arms and he starts to squirm

YOU PANIC BC WTH ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WITH A CRYING BAB--- OH GOD YOU JUST MADE A CHILD CRY

but nope! Natsuki just looks at you for a really long time until his eyelids drop

All you know is that your eyes never left the bundle of innocence in your arms, which leaves you beyond confused when you find yourself in another room, silently rocking Natsuki on the rocking chair

There’s laughter in the other side of the wall and you’re tempted to return Natsuki to Erin

As if sensing your contemplation, he squirms in your arms in protest, causing you to instinctively whisper sweet nothings to the baby until his movements die down

You smile. It feels like your heart’s about to burst.

“’Samu really hit that huh?” Atsumu hovers over the two of your with his signature smirk so you kick his leg

He’s about to say something, and your foot’s ready to shove that shit up his ass when Natsuki grabs Atsumu’s index finger

You both freeze, watching intently as Natsuki’s lips curl into what seems like a smile? ? /

“Y/n do babies even smile? Wtf is that thing---”

He watches in awe as Natsuki grips his finger tighter, and you swear you see a tear roll down his cheeks

“He’s so small...” he whispers to you

You eyes start to water. Without even realising it, you’re shifting the baby’s weight in his arms until Natsuki’s head is snuggled peacefully on Atsumu’s chest. And with that, the tears just keep flowing incessantly

“Fifty bucks that Atsumu’s asking (y/n) for his kid,” Erin whispers to Osamu, discreetly watching the scene unfold from the doorway. None of them daring to ruin such a sweet moment.

Osamu scoffs while continuously rubbing soft circles on his wife’s shoulder. “Nah, it’s definitely (y/n).”

Roughly a month later, Erin calls you over for afternoon tea in their place. When Atsumu comes pick you up, and as she waves you goodbye, you catch a glimpse of Osamu from the rearview mirror slipping a fifty dollar note into her hands.
