Forced To Wake Up

He was sleeping peacefully, dreams playing behind his eyelids but the feeling of poking roused him. He could hear a weird humming and felt poking in his stomach again.

He swatted, trying to roll over but the body in bed next to him was giggling and that wasn’t right either and now the poking was more insistent and the bed was moving and he opens his eyes to bright lights and giggles and three sets of eyes looking at him with mirth.

“What kind of wake up is this?” He groans. She laughs at the sight before her. Their kids jabbing their father awake with lightsabers and looking mischievous.

“It’s Star Wars Day!” They all cheered. He notices that Kate is perched in the doorway, dressed for work with a cup of coffee he hopes is for him in her hands.

“We had to raise sci-fi nerds,” he muttered as she crossed, handing him his Darth Vader mug.

“Hey, now you know how I felt when I was pregnant,” she muttered back. “Always poking me in my sleep.”

“May the Force be with you,” he told her, grabbing a kiss while the kids tumbled off the bed to start duelling each other.

They looked at the chaos unfolding before them. 

“I think we’re gonna need all the Force help we can get,” she jokes.

What many of you don't know yet, The Clutter Cat and I studied fashion design together and we have been friends for 12 years now :). Over the years we also worked together on various projects and it felt natural to eventually create a collection for The Sims 4.

Fairy tales and extraordinary creatures inspire this month's collection. Castle-style bunk beds, a cardboard castle, a unicorn desk chair - it's all about creating your holistic dream world.

I think the set turned out very detailed and sweet, in one word ⋆ FAIRYLICIOUS ⋆

no i am not over how one of the first things kris does of their own accord without our input is to lay down their life for this weird ipad kid they met five hours ago no i am not over "hell yeah i am here to humiliate you fucker" no i am not over "did you miss me? because i missed you!" no i am not over how much not only susie but also kris (and ralsei) genuinely care about their new adopted little cousin guy and the fact that he went from having no friends at all to 3 ride or die bffs who were willing to do what every adult in his life failed to do which is stand up for him i-

Keeping in mind the parallels between this whole scene underwater and the dungeon scene in 1x03 (initial transfer of the egg) is like... Claudia will explain what happened to Callum then, and she'll antagonize Callum now, but she never ever attempts to reason or appeal to him. Whether because she knows him well enough to know it won't work, or because she assumes within the brothers' dynamic Ezran actually holds more power, in a way.

Which to be fair, was likewise true then (he was the one holding the egg) and is unknowingly true now (he, not Callum, knows the secret of the prison) at least in a literal sense. But perhaps on an emotional one too, because while Callum may have doubts and reservations, he will ultimately always follow where his brother goes, and Ezran is the one more likely to step and/or break away of the two of them (for now) in a substantial way, i.e. choosing to follow Rayla completely independently of Callum in 1x03, whereas Callum is then choosing to go after/with Ezran

I also think it speaks to Claudia's knowledge that her bond with Callum has been broken since 2x07 and if we're being more honest, the end of 2x03, but her and Ezran's bond persisted all the way through to 3x09 when she was running away from his outstretched hand. While I think what she says here is of course coloured by manipulation and extremity (like many things about Claudia), given her clear belief in her previous statement — "But I'm not evil, it's me. You know me. I'm still the same person, I am" — I think there's decent reason to think she believes herself, and in Ezran by proxy, here, too.

And this from her side does make sense. Ezran saw her choose Soren in 2x07, sought comfort in her arms after learning about his father, told her he knew she still cared in 2x09, set her free in 3x02, and as stated, was still trying to get through to her in 3x09. I think this is also why later on in this scene when she gets closer to the boys, she only touches Callum's staff with her tentacles, but she puts her actual hands on Ezran's shoulders.

She thinks Ezran is still more likely to understand and be sympathetic to her (as well as contributing, possibly, to the fact Ez is going to have harder time about Runaan because of their father than Callum will) in addition to believing that Ezran is more ripe to be manipulated by her.

And she's not right, at this point (I wouldn't be surprised if 5x09 is Ez's breaking point with her) but she's not totally wrong, either.

It's interesting to think about how, to me at least, Dust and Killer are like mirror versions of each other.

One who joins a villain enthusiastically, jumps at the chance to leave his past behind and have a purpose again, and the other who has to be dragged in, would rather rot in the consequences of his own actions.

One who needs orders, needs the distraction and the action and the thrill, can't sit alone with his thoughts for too long lest he hear them clearly, and the other who can't bring himself to ignore the ghost over his shoulder, would rather sit in place and listen to his own self loathing parroted back at him than stand up and find a way to drown it out.

One who doesn't associate with his past anymore, that wasn't me and I wasn't him, and cannot stand the thought of going back from where he came, and the other who wants nothing more than to be his old self again but feels so strongly that he doesn't deserve to return to the life he tore down himself.

They both wear their new names like dog collars, but one is a gift given by someone else because he's theirs, he has somewhere he belongs that he's expected to return to, and the other is a choker tying him to a post, warning others of his danger while never allowing him to get out of arm's reach of his past.

And getting them both back-to-back while trying to understand mortals was probably enough to give Nightmare whiplash

Galran Keith hcs

I like to think that as Galran's genetics get diluted, the animal they correspond with just gets smaller. Like, since Keith is only half-galra, he has behaviors similar to a bobcat while Krolia and Kolivan have big cat traits.

Like, bobcats are awesome at climbing so Keith is always on top of things he shouldn't be on top of. Also, they don't roar, they scream/yowl, and hiss. AND, unlike big cats, bobcats can purr! Keith has definitely been on a mission with the blades where he gets frustrated and just...yowls. And it makes so much sense for him to hiss when Lance starts getting on his nerves.

His galran traits freak out the paladins/alteans a bit (save for Shiro, he's seen worse) but the blades think they're adorable. Bc, imagine you're Kolivan (completely galran/big cat traits) and there's this scrawny new kid who hisses when he gets pissed.
