Omg that’s so hot 🤤 if y’all can’t tell, I love men secretly pining and lusting after unknowing female readers. ESPECIALLY if they are shy, nerdy, and or curvy/thicc girls. So Inhad fun with this

Shinsou kept his blinds opened when he gamed. He always joked with his viewers that it was for the natural lighting.
“Y’all know the sun really brings out the purple in my eyes.” He’d smirk, and that was that.
They didn’t need to know the real reason he kept them open. His violet eyes flitted towards the window again as he mindlessly navigated the game. That’s when he saw you walking into the complex.
“Uhh, alright guys, I think that’s about it for today. I’ll be back on tonight for our midnight stream,” his eyes flicked over to the window again. You were checking the mailbox. Perfect. “Until next time, later guys.”
Shinsou quickly shut off his computer and threw on a pair of shoes before rushing down the stairs.
“Hey there bookworm.” Shinsou grinned as he approached you.
As soon as you turned and flashed him your little brace face smile, he felt an arrow pierce his heart. God you were adorable. With your colorful braces and glasses and pretty chocolate dimples.
“Hey yourself, e-boy.” You replied.
“Get anything interesting?” Shinsou nodded at your stack of mail as he opened his own mailbox.
“A new book.”
“Of course,” he shot you a smirk.
“Of course,” you giggled.
“Well, hey, that’s what makes you my little book worm.” He teased.
You glanced away your shy little dimpled smile making his heart flutter.
“Well, I better get upstairs,” you said, “I have studying to do.”
“Alright then,” Shinsou’s heart sank a bit at the thought of losing time with you. “Mind if I walk up with you?”
“Sure!”
Shinsou let you lead the way.
You two were neighbors and had come to be good friends; often walking up to your apartments together. So you thought nothing of it when he took up space behind you. Not even feeling the predatory gaze on your ass.
Shinsou’s friendly face fell into an almost hungry gaze as you strutted in front of him. There was something about your cute face juxtaposed with your stacked curves that drove him crazy. Your round ass bounced with every step as you led the way up the stairs. He tucked his hands in the pockets of his joggers and stroked the bulge growing in his pants as your ass wiggled.
Stop being such a creep man.
He chastised himself as you bounced up the stairs, but fuck he couldn’t help it.
All he could imagine was how loud he could make your soft little voice scream for him while he pounded into your thick ass from the back or watched your bouncy tits jiggle in his face.
“Hey, y/n,” Shinsou piped up before he could stop himself.
“Yeah?” You cocked your head.
Cutie.
“I was wondering if you wanted to come over and order take out. We can just watch a movie or somethin’..or not! I don’t want you to think I’m tryna Netflix and chill or something!” Even though he totally was.
You felt your face burn. In all the time you and Shinsou had been neighbors, you had always had a crush on him, but never knew how to express it. You honestly never expected anything more than friendly mailbox banter; so getting invited to his house was a pleasant surprise to say the least.
“O-oh, um—Sure!”
“Really? Ahh, I have to stream tonight at midnight, but how bout eight?”
Your cheeks burned as you nodded. “Sounds good.”
“Alright, I now have an hour to make this place look presentable.” Shinsou gazed around his messy bachelor pad.
He managed to make his place decent and changed from his joggers into jeans and a t-shirt. He even combed his messy purple locks a bit. He wanted to look good for you guys’ first hang out session. After all, he couldn’t believe you had actually agreed to hang out with him. Shinsou had been crushing on you for months, but he didn’t think he was actually good enough for you. You were smart and studious and hard working and he was pretty sure you only viewed him as a lazy gamer guy.
That was why he had to impress you. This was his first shot to make a real impression and maybe score a real date with you.
He wondered how you would wear your hair and makeup. If he’d finally get to see those curves of yours hugged in a dress. He groaned aloud, thinking about running his fingers over your body.
“Fuck...” he muttered, feeling his dick flex at the thought of your thick chocolate body writhing under his.
Shinsou stroked himself through his jeans growing harder as his thoughts about you ran wild.
I can’t act like this when she’s around. I’ll scare her off for sure.
Ok. He had twenty minutes. He could just rub one out, right? That way when you got there he wouldn’t be thinking about throwing you on the kitchen table and deep dicking you until you were a groaning mess.
You knocked at Shinsou’s front door. You stepped back and bounced on your toes a bit.
When he opened the door, you felt your heart quicken. He looked so handsome. You weren’t used to seeing him in jeans and you could see how well sculpted his chest was through his shirt.
“Hey, bookworm.” He smiled.
“Hi, you.” You replied.
“Come on in.”
As soon as Shinsou ushered you inside you were intrigued by all the cool super hero posters and pictures of friends on the family.
“DC guy, huh?” You smirked at him as you observed his DC posters.
“For the most part,” Shinsou replied, coming up to your side. “I like the world building more in DC; feels a bit more real to me than Marvel. I don’t know why, but I have to admit I like Marvel’s villains more.”
“Hmm. I’m the opposite.”
Shinsou’s brow quirked as he grinned down at you.
“Oh yeah?”
You nod, shrugging. “I just think marvel has cooler, more powerful heroes and I like the world building in marvel. But I think DC has cooler villains and I like the grimmer grittier vibe.”
“Hmmm, let me find out my bookworm is a comic buff.”
Your heart fluttered again at the possessive nickname, but you mask it with a grin. “Try me.”
By the time the pizza arrives you and Shinsou are deep in your conversation about movies, comics, books, and your favorite shows.
Shinsou proudly shows you his custom PC and set up and swells with pride at how you gush over his build.
He loves hearing about your studies and theories and you guys bounce ideas off of each other for hours.
Before you both know it, it’s eleven o’clock.
“I’m so sorry, Shin. I didn’t mean to hold you up.”
“Trust me, y/n, if it wasn’t for that alarm I wouldn’t have even noticed the time. This has been really fun.”
The grin that lit up your face made your dark eyes sparkle and Shinsou desperately wanted to kiss you.
“Yeah. It was fun. I’m really glad we did this.”
“Yeah, totally. We should...do it again sometime. Maybe we can go out for dinner next weekend?” He offered, carefully.
You glanced away, sweetly, composing yourself before meeting his eyes again with a shy nod.
“I’d like that a lot.”
“Cool,” Shinsou grinned, scratching the back of his neck as a blush burned on his cheeks. Guess I’ll hop over next door and pick you up huh?” He chuckled.
“Sure.” You giggled back. “Well...night, Shin, have fun on your stream.”
“Night, y/n.” He smiled back.
As soon as you were out the door, Shinsou wanted to whoop and holler. Holy shit! He couldn’t believe he’d finally did it! Not only did he ask you to hang out, he scored an actual date with you!
Not only that, he finally got to know you beyond just a few words, and you were totally cool!
Knowing how cool and interesting you are coupled with your sweet, shy nature just made you more attractive to him.
He couldn’t help being even more turned on. You were like the perfect girl. Shy and sweet and nerdy and cool and Thicc as fuck.
He couldn’t wait to get to know you better in more ways than one...
He felt himself stirring once again and sighed, palming himself through his jeans.
“Dammit,” he muttered, eyes fluttering shut in frustration. “I’ve really gotta stop working myself up over you, bookworm.”
Alright. He had an hour. He could take care of his ‘little problem’ before he started his stream. He would be thinking of you riding his face the whole time.

Day One
I’m not really back but I needed a distraction today so I wrote a little oneshot something. I’m posting this unedited so sorry for any typos or mistakes.
Summary: Yunho has fallen in love with his best friend and a Valentine’s Day together goes from angst to passion with a single heartfelt question.
Wordcount: 5.7k
Content warnings: angsty miscommunications, a little bit of strong language, communication that borders on consent porn (lol), making out, dry humping, protected penetrative sex (M,F). Happy ending.
Tumblr media
“Oh hey,” Yunho greeted as he poked his head out through his front door. “You made it! Come on inside. I’m just finishing a few things up.”
“Am I too early?” Her eyes flicked to her watch to check how early she was. “I can always go buy some snacks and come back or something?”
“No, no, no, no,” he rushed to assure her, putting his large hand on her shoulder. “I’ve got all that covered. Come in, come in.” With a nod she stepped in through the door and into the apartment. Slipping off her shoes in the small well near the doorway, she made her way into the very familiar apartment. Two years of friendship meant she had spent hours and hours here studying, eating, and just hanging out. It was familiar and comfortable, almost a second home. He came to her place too, of course, it just depended on the day. It didn’t really matter, neither of them cared. It was all about whatever worked for both of them.
Today it was his place and almost an ordinary day. Almost.
“Why don’t you take a seat,” Yunho gestured at the old fluffy couch that sat across from the television in the living room. “You want a drink?”
“Uh maybe some tea?” She said as she flopped onto the couch. “It’s really cold out there.”
“Yeah, the weather has really been something, hasn’t it?” He chuckled as he walked into the kitchen, raising his voice as he walked to make sure she could still hear him. “I probably should have been a gentleman and come to you, especially given the day.”
“Since when has that been a thing between us?” She laughed.
“Hey,” he protested as he flipped the switch on the kettle. “I’m always a gentleman.”
“You’re a good guy and you’re a friend,” she admitted. “But it's never been like that between us.” Even if I wanted it to be, she finished in her head.
“Well no,” he shifted uncomfortably on his feet in the doorway. “But what kind of friend makes you trudge across town in the snow just for a movie and to hang out.”
“What, did you want to cancel it?” She questioned, a twinge of pain tweaking in her chest.
“And leave you with nothing to do on valentines day?” Yunho scoffed. “No, I should have come to you.”
“How is that better?” She rolled her eyes and looked away towards the TV to start flipping through Netflix to find the movie they were going to watch.
“Then I’d be the one out there trudging through the snow getting cold,” he pouted slightly at her before heading to the freshly boiled kettle. “It’s the gentlemanly thing to do.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she shrugged, speaking loudly enough for him to hear her over the slosh of the water into the mug. “I’m just as capable of making the trip as you are.”
“Can’t you ever just let me do the nice thing for you just because?” He huffed tiredly as he strode out with the steaming mug in hand.
“I mean yeah,” she shrugged and took it from him, not meeting his eyes. “But we aren’t like that. I can come to you just as easily as you can come to me. You don’t have to coddle me or something.”
“Sometimes it's just nice to be nice, bub,” he said over his shoulder as he went back to the kitchen to finish throwing the snacks into something. With a sigh he pulled out the two large bowls they always used for snacks and grabbed the large bag of chips from the counter. Why does she always have to make it so hard for me to do nice things for her, he asked himself. Every single time he tried to do something sweet, to show her that maybe he could be something more than just a friend, she did this. She became as prickly as a hedgehog and half the time wouldn’t even look at him. It was maddening.
This is probably it, he told himself, you’re friends and that’s it, just accept it. He sighed and gathered the snacks into his hands and headed back to the living room. There she was, sitting there, feet curled cutely under her as she held the warm mug with both hands, alternating between blowing on it and taking loud sips of the still hot drink. She was so...cute, it gave him a little flutter of butterflies in his gut that he had to mentally brush away as he set the bowls and platter down on the coffee table.
“So is this still what you want to watch?” She asked, the classic romcom pulled up on the screen.
“Well, seems right, what with what day it is and all,” he shrugged.
“Valentines Day,” she nodded. “As long as you’re sure.”
“What, you don’t?” He turned to face her, trying to read her reaction. “We don’t have to.”
“No it should be fun,” she put up a hand and waved away his offer. “You just aren’t a romance sort of guy. I don’t want you to watch something you don’t want to just because...I don’t know, because you think I want to or because of TrAdItIoN.”
She gave the last word a dramatic tone to emphasize it properly in the context.
“You say tradition like it’s a bad thing.” Yunho scoffed.
“Yeah, I mean usually it's why people do things they don’t really want to do, but they feel like they are supposed to,” she leaned her head back against the cushions behind her as she looked over at the tall boy beside her.
“Sometimes,” he admitted. “But sometimes things become traditions because they are nice to do.”
“And romcoms on Valentine's Day is nice to do,” she smiled up at him with an understanding laugh.
“Yeah it is,” Yunho grinned back. “So let’s get on with tradition.” She gave him a nod and let him start the movie as she grabbed a couple of chips and settled her head lightly on his shoulder, where it often sat as they watched movies together. Yunho set the remote on the arm of the couch and lifted the arm she was leaning against, moving it to wrap around her shoulder and pull her against him and guiding her head to rest on his chest. She relaxed against him and let out a little sigh as the movie started. Yunho fixed his eyes on the TV, purposefully concentrating on the movie rather than the warm, soft curves of the woman tucked into his side.
Tumblr media
She jerked awake, her head having lost it’s careful perch on his chest when she went slightly limp in her sleep. Cracking open her eyes, she lifted her head and started to straighten up, pushing the heel of her palm down to push herself back up. Yunho made a grunt beside her and it was in that moment that she noticed just where her hand had landed and what it was pressed against. That warm, thick lump under her palm was a very happy Yunho separated from her touch by a mere layer of jean fabric.
“Shit,” she cursed, jerking back as if it had suddenly grown as hot as a cast iron pan that had been sitting on a stove at full heat. Yunho’s hand that had not been resting on her waist as she rested against him, clenched against his thigh and he turned his eyes to the kitchen as he felt her pull away.
“Sorry… sorry… I didn’t… sorry…” she kept muttering as she scurried to stand up.
“It’s okay,” Yunho rushed to assure her. “You didn’t… you just fell asleep.”
“I think… maybe I should just go home for today,” she turned towards the door, rubbing her hot, pink cheeks. “I’m clearly really tired today. Maybe I’m getting sick or something…”
“Do you feel sick?” He stepped forward and reached out to try and test her forehead.
“I am feeling a little nauseous right now,” she admitted, dodging his touch.
Pausing, he looked at her as she knelt down and reached for her shoes. “Am I that gross?” He asked quietly, unable to keep the small pang of hurt from coloring his tone.
“What?” She froze, turning to blink up at him with owlish eyes.
“You accidentally touched me for two seconds and it makes you feel sick,” he rubbed the back of his neck and clenched his jaw in frustration. “How am I supposed to take that?”
“I didn’t-- it’s not that,” she sighed, letting herself fall into a slump and dropping the shoe she had been about to put on. “I’m embarrassed, okay?”
“You didn’t do anything you need to be embarrassed about,” he objected. “I like that you do that sometimes.”
“Do… do what?” She froze looking up at him.
“Fall asleep on me,” Yunho dug his socked toes into the carpet as he muttered his reply, barely loud enough to be heard. “I like that you feel comfortable with me; that you relax.”
“You didn’t invite me over for a nap,” she shook her head and grimaced at the memory of the part she wasn’t even willing to acknowledge out loud.
“I invited you over to spend some time with you,” he shrugged, hiding his hands in his pockets. “If you spend a little of that time napping next to me… I don’t mind. You’re still here with me.”
“That’s sweet,” she offered, reaching for her shoe again. “I just think… maybe another day would be better.”
“Please don’t go,” Yunho managed to squeeze out. “I’ve been looking forward to this all week. I’ve missed hanging out.”
“What if…” She sighed. “How about we meet for coffee or something tomorrow?” Something out of both of their places seemed safe enough, she silently settled on. They needed a reset in general. Things had been awkward lately and she was sure that if she wasn’t careful, she was one step away from doing something stupid that would really ruin everything between them.
“If you want,” he gave a little shrug, heart sinking in his chest.
“Or we can just take a little break instead,” she offered, finally managing to sink her heel into her boot. “I know things have been weird lately, so maybe that would just be for the best.”
“What did I do wrong,” he finally forced himself to ask. A big part of him didn’t want to ask; didn’t want to know. But she was slipping away already. If she went through the door today, he was almost positive it would be awhile before he saw her again.
“Nothing,” she shook her head, determinedly stuffing her other foot into her second shoe. “You didn’t do anything.” She grumbled, double knotting the lace of her shoe. “But you know that things have been a little weird as well as I do and I would rather take a few weeks apart than have things get to the point where we… aren’t friends at all.”
“Weeks?” He breathed in disbelief. “No, that’s it. Just stop.” Reaching down, he pulled her to stand facing him. “Talk to me. Tell me what I did. It must have been something. Please just give me a chance to fix it.”
“You didn’t do anything,” she shook her head, lowering her gaze.
“Please tell me,” he implored, a tightness in his chest holding his breath captive. Bringing his hands to her face, he held it facing his own, his eyes searching for some clue as to why she was slipping away. “Let me fix it.”
“You…” she started, feeling the prickle of tears filling her eyes. He looked so sad, but what was she supposed to say? She loved him so much, the very last thing she wanted to do was hurt him, but wasn’t a little pain now better than a goodbye? They were friends. Just friends. It had to be enough because she couldn’t imagine things without him. It was more important than that aching want he caused in her whenever she saw him and more important than whatever might have been.
“Let me…” He breathed, letting his gaze fall to her lips. For both of them, the moment froze, time stopped and stretched like an ocean of possibilities, a thousand chances with a thousand rewards and consequences down each path.
“Yunho,” his name fell from her lips, breaking the spell like it had been as inconsequential as the filament of a spider’s web.
“Can’t you just love me back?” He whispered, holding her cheeks, running the pads of his thumbs over her cheekbones.
“I love you so much more than you know,” she admitted, bringing her hands to cover the backs of his.
“Then don’t go,” he drew closer. “Stay with me.”
“For the movie?” She ventured, half joking, half wanting to pull away again, back to the comfortable pretending space where she didn’t really have to risk her heart or their friendship.
“Forget the movie,” he gave a watery chuckle. “Stay for me.”
“Okay,” she nodded after a second, no longer able to keep herself from leaning towards his tempting cupid's bow lips. Meeting in the middle, their lips touched and exhilaration and relief flooded both of them at the contact. He started moving backwards, wanting to take both of them away from the threat the door represented just behind her.
“Wait,” she panted, pulling back just a shade to get it out.
“What?” He asked, barely giving her space, moving his lips over to the corner of her mouth.
“Shoes,” she breathed, her fingers tightening on his wrists.
“Oh,” he nodded, dropping to his knees in front of her and immediately moving to pull them off without even bothering to untie them. He finally managed to pull them off, throwing them behind her before pulling her into his arms to take her back to the couch where all this had started, this time kissing her like a drowning man sucking in breath as he breaks the surface of water. Months of want and need flowed forth like a flood finally having broken through the last levy that had held it back.
When the front of the couch finally brushed the back of his thighs, he let himself fall backwards into the soft cushions, bringing her with him, her knees hooked around his hips. His hands moved to grip her hips, coaxing her to grind against his wanting body. She moaned against his lips, her hands moving to brush along his shoulders and neck. He filled her senses completely, from the salty sweetness of his lips, to the scent of his warm skin, to the huff and moan of his breath tickling her ears. He was heaven. He was that thing her whole being had been itching for, for months.
“Mmm,” he moaned, letting his tongue flick over her bottom lip. “Tell me that you want this, too. I need to know it's not just me.”
“It’s not just you,” she assured him, returning the motion and brushing the tip of her nose against his. “I’ve wanted this so long.”
“Why… why didn’t you say something?” He queried, letting his fingers move into the waistband of her pants. “We could have… we could have done this so long ago.”
“I thought it was just me,” she explained. “I didn’t want to ruin things between us. I’d rather have friend Yunho than nothing at all.”
“You won’t get rid of me that easily,” he laughed. “Even if I hadn’t spent the better part of the last year thinking of you every time I…” he couldn’t bring himself to finish the admission, a pink blush blooming on the tips of his ears and his cheeks. “I wouldn’t have let it come between us.”
“Why didn’t you say something then?” She turned the question around on him.
“Because everytime I tried to get a little closer to you, you bristled and ran away from me,” he tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. “How was I supposed to read that?”
“I’m sorry,” she leaned into him pressing a line of kisses along the side of his neck.
“Apology accepted,” he cleared his throat, leaning back to allow her better access. With one hand between her shoulder blades and the other tucked into the waistband of her jeans, he pressed her against him. “Just don’t stop.”
She let out an eager hmmm and gave the flesh just below his ear a gentle suck. Goosebumps prickled over his arms and he felt himself pulse with want. It was euphoric, his every fantasy coming true and everything was moving both too fast and too slow for his taste.
“There are too many clothes,” he grumbled, feeling her lips tease along the line of his collar. “I want to touch you.”
“I guess we could…” she paused, leaning her temple against his shoulder. “Do you want to move into your room?”
“Really?” He asked, pulling her up so he could look into her eyes.
“I mean the couch is okay too,” she was quick to nod.
“No I mean,” he pursed his lips and shifted a little under her. “We can just do this. I don’t want to rush anything.”
“I’m not promising that we’ll do everything tonight,” she began carefully. “But, if you want to, I think I’d like to see where this goes somewhere a little more comfortable.”
“Give me, like, five minutes,” he told her, sliding her off his lap and into the cushion beside him. “I just want to clean up a little.”
“Sure,” she nodded. “Maybe I can just go to the bathroom and wash my face and stuff while you pick up.”
“Yeah, sure,” he agreed happily, taking her by the hand as he stood up. Dropping her off in front of the bathroom door he walked over to the linen closet and pulled out a new set of sheets, then headed for his bedroom. If this was going to happen, he told himself, it was going to happen in clean sheets. Quickly stripping the bed, he threw the new sheets on the bed and picked up the few socks and little bits of whatever that happened to have been left on the floor over the past couple of days. Throwing away the trash, he gathered the old sheets and the laundry, taking it out to the washer, deciding he could start it later, but certainly had better things to do at the moment.
Since the bathroom door was still closed, he decided he had enough time to do just a few little things to set the mood. Candles, where did I leave those things, he wondered in his head as he poked his head into the living room and then into the hall closet. Ah-ha, he thought victoriously as he laid eyes on the little box of candles and glass holders. Grabbing them, he made his way back to his bedroom and put the little votives on every surface far enough away from something flammable he had.
Just as he lit the last candle, he heard the click of the bathroom door opening. He tossed the lighter into the nearest drawer and nervously tried to brush the wrinkles out of the front of his shirt. The gesture was more soothing than it was effective, but was cute to see nonetheless when she poked her head around the frame of the door to see him.
“Hi,” she said nervously. “Are you done?”
“Yeah,” Yunho nodded, straightening up. “Do you… do you still want to move in here?”
“Yeah,” she replied with a smile. “It looks nice.”
“Thanks,” he replied automatically more than anything else. “So… ummm…”
“Let’s start by getting a little more comfortable,” she suggested, taking a few steps into the room.
“Right, yes,” he nodded vigorously, coming to meet her. When they were standing just a few inches apart, she reached out, putting her hands on his forearms comfortingly.
“Do you mind if I help you out of these?” She asked as her fingers moved to the button on his jeans.
“Please,” Yunho had been feeling the pressure of the tight fabric against his erection for what felt like forever and would be glad to be free of it. His hands moved to help guide the jeans off his hips as she undid the button and slid the zipper down. He leaned down to kiss her as he stepped out of the stiff fabric as it slumped around his ankles. Her hands went to the fastenings of her own jeans, kicking them off as he nuzzled and licked at her lips.
“What about this next?” She suggested, tugging at his shirt gently. Without answering he pulled back and pulled it off over his head as quickly as he could manage, leaving him in his socks and boxers.
“What about yours?” He asked, a hopeful look in his eyes as his hand brushed over her sleeve.
“Yeah,” she brought her hands over her head, allowing him to pull it off and toss it on top of her jeans off to the side.
“Bed?” He asked, wrapping his arms around her hips and lifting her against his chest. She nodded and brought her lips to his as he took the couple of steps to the mattress. Letting her down gently, he let her crawl backwards to the head of the bed and stretch out with her head on the pillows before crawling after her. As he drew near, looming over her with his much larger body, she opened her thighs to allow him to lay in the cradle they created.
“Hey,” she chuckled, bringing her arms to wrap around his neck as he laid himself over her.
“Hi,” he replied with a shy laugh. “We still good?”
“Uh-huh,” she nodded, brushing his bangs off his forehead. “Can I ask you something?”
“Hmmm?” His puppyish eyes looked into hers intently.
“Did you change the sheets?” she giggled, looking up into his overly serious expression.
“Yes,” he admitted.
“Mmm, I thought so,” she nodded. “They don’t smell like you.”
“Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?” He questioned, holding himself up on his forearms to keep most of his weight off her.
“Both… neither?” She said indecisively. “Just come a little closer to me.” He leaned closer, bringing his lips to her as he allowed more of his weight to press into her. Letting out a contented sigh, she deepened the kiss as she let her hands wander over the broad expanse of his bare back.
Yunho let himself get lost in the soft sensations of her lips and her hands as he pressed himself close. She felt as good and as comforting as he had dreamed she would on all those lonely nights. His tongue slipped in past her lips and past her teeth to tangle with her own, dancing together in a mutual sweep of pleasurable sensation.
Time passed unobserved as they lazily explored each other, mouth to mouth, hands gently flitting over the skin they could find. When he finally pulled back, he rolled slightly off her, laying his head on the pillow beside hers. He nuzzled into her cheek, his eyes closing as he just took in her scent mixed with the freshness of the clean sheets.
“Do you want to stop for tonight?” She asked, running her hand over his arm where it curved around her waist.
“We can if you’d like,” he offered. “I just wanted to hold you for a while.”
“I actually,” she started to speak and he could actually feel the heat of her blush rise against his lips as he kissed her cheek. “I’m feeling a little needy. We don’t have to go all the way but I kind of want a little something more.”
“Okay,” he nodded, pulling himself up onto one elbow. “What do you need?”
“I kind of… I just need a little friction,” she explained, her face aflame as she did. “Maybe you can just lay back and I’ll take care of it… with you, if that’s okay?”
“Yeah, show me what you like,” he nodded, eagerly shifting to lay on his back. Sitting up, she moved to straddle his hips, putting a knee to either side. Leaning forward, she propped herself up with a hand just above each of his shoulders. Unable to bring herself to look into his eyes at the moment, she closed her eyes and let her head droop slightly forward as she shifted her hips, looking for the right angle to get the friction she sought. Drawing in a deep breath through her nose, she tentatively slid herself along the ridge of his erection.
Yunho watched her face as she started to move, tantalized by the blissfully seeking expression on her face combined with the sensation of her grinding against him. He watched as her movements became more fluid and more sure, listening as her breathing became faster then hitched now and again as she hit something more pleasurable on her body. She was beautiful and tempting as she used his body to find some relief to the tension that knitted her brow.
“Does it feel good?” He asked, his hands helping her hips to press more harshly against him.
“Yeah,” she panted. “So good.”
“Is it better with me?” He questioned, wanting to know he was playing some part in that look on her face.
“So much better,” she agreed. “You make me feel so good.”
“Are you going to come all over me?” He prompted, bringing one hand up to her stomach to feel the muscles clench and quiver.
“Oh god, yes I think so,” she nodded, speeding up her grinding.
“Can you look in my eyes when you do, love,” he pressed, hearing that uneven puff that said she was getting close. Her movements faltered slightly, but she swallowed and managed to finally meet his gaze. Her eyes were hooded and hazy, and her pupils wide from a mix of the dim light of the candles and the pleasure coursing in her veins.
“So pretty,” he praised huskily. “Come for me, yeah?”
“Uh- uh-huh,” she nodded, her arms quivering and threatening to give out. With just a few more moves, she came apart over him. Her jaw went slack and her eyes squeezed shut as her body went rigid for a few seconds before a shiver worked its way through her body starting at her shoulders and reverberating down to her toes.
Weakness suffused her and her arms finally gave out. Collapsed against his chest, she huddled against him as she caught her breath. He murmured sweet nothings to her, soothing her with his voice as his hands stroked against her slightly tacky back. Want made his skin hurt but he savored this moment knowing it was a sort of first he would never have again. It was a fulfilment of a fantasy that had haunted him for months and part of him was afraid to poke at it, afraid it would burst like a bubble.
“Thank you,” she sighed, taking a deep breath that turned into a yawn.
“Are you up for a little more?” He tested, rubbing his chin gently against the top of her head. “I can take a few minutes to myself if you aren’t.”
“I can take a little more,” she nodded against his chest. “But I’m not feeling terribly coordinated at the moment.”
“It’s okay,” he chuffed, rolling them both over so that he was once again on top of her. “I think I can do the work this time.” Depositing her gently on the bed, he pulled back to look down at her nestled comfortably in his bed. She looked just right there, like she belonged there beside him. “Do you mind if I take the rest of the clothes off?”
“That’s fine,” she nodded. With a sigh, she propped herself up and reached behind her back to unhook her bra so he could remove it as he slid his boxers off and tossed them somewhere off the bed. Doing the same with her bra, he sat up on his heels and hooked his fingers in the band of her panties, pulling them gently down her legs and off. He knelt between her legs and looked down at her as she relaxed into the pile of pillows again. Her eyes skimmed over his face and down his body in that moment, taking in his strong, lean body.
“Oh my,” she breathed when her eyes finally lowered to his erection.
“What?” He asked as he moved to cover himself, slightly self conscious at the reaction.
“You’re just… big,” she replied after a second’s pause.
“I guess,” he admitted, blushing. “Is that okay?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, reaching out in her desire to reassure him.
“Just one second,” he held up a finger then leaned over to open the drawer in his bedside table. After a little digging, he pulled out a small foil wrapper and tore it open.
“I’m on birth control,” she mentioned. “But better safe than sorry, right.”
“Yeah,” he agreed, rolling the latex down his length before reaching back into the drawer, this time pulling out a tube of clear lube. Taking a little on his fingers, he spread it between her already slick nether lips, just to be sure, before getting a little that he used on his latex covered length. Wiping his hand clean on a tissue, he finally lay down between her thighs, lining himself up with her core.
“You still want me?” He asked, running his hand up her side as he smiled down at her.
“Yes,” she nodded, wrapping her arms around his ribs as she relaxed beneath him.
“You’ve…” He paused, hips poised to thrust when it occurred to him to ask.
“Yeah, I’ve done this before,” she assured him, hugging his hips with her thighs, coaxing him to enter her.
“If it’s not good,” he said, slowly working himself into her body. “Just say something, promise?”
“I will,” she agreed. With each gentle thrust he went a little deeper, sinking himself into her moist heat inch by inch. Her body stretched satisfyingly around him, hugging his length with a sweet tension.
“Mmm, oh god,” he breathed as he reached the end of her body. “You’re okay?”
“Yeah, keep going,” she urged, her fingers gripping his shoulders as she moved impatiently. “You feel so good.”
He nodded and buried his head in the pillows near her head, letting his eyes close as he enjoyed the sensation of sliding in and out of her tight body. His body arched and curved against her as he found a slow and steady rhythm that had pleasure thrumming through him. It was even better than every late night fantasy that had flitted through his mind as he had imagined being with her. The only thing that would scratch that tickle of sexual frustration that had haunted him for months.
“Yunho,” she breathed his name against his collarbone, her lips ghosting over his skin as she spoke his name. He whispered hers back over and over, like a quiet mantra in the quiet of the room, otherwise filled with the creak of the bed and the rustle of the sheets amid the rhythmic pants of their breathing.
“Tell me I make you feel good,” he groaned, leaning close to feel her nipples abrade his chest as he moved against her.
“You feel like heaven,” she swore breathlessly.
“Mmmm,” he shuttered and his hips stuttered against her. “I’m not gonna last long. Can you come again? I want to feel you come around me.”
“Yeah,” she nodded, moving one hand to touch herself between them.
“Okay,” he closed his eyes and tried to think about something else, even as he felt himself getting close to that precipice. He couldn’t help but get drawn in by the feel of her hand moving against herself between them and he prayed she was as close as he was.
“Can you tell me I’m beautiful?” She asked shyly, her breath coming faster again.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured against her temple. “So fucking beautiful I can barely breath when I look at you.” She let out a muffled little groan and he felt the first flutter of her body around him. He let out a long string of praise for her as he thrust into her, her hand trembling as she chased that pleasure again. He moaned out praise for every inch of her and every feature, exhaustively listing every freckle, dimple, and curve he loved about her until he felt her body burst with pleasure, pulsingly gripping his length and driving him over the edge and robbed him of speech as he spilled himself inside her.
In the moments that followed they both slowly fell back to earth, coming back to themselves, limbs entwined in the dim, quiet room. With a quick apology he rolled his weight off her, pulling her along with him so that she was curled against his side as they caught their breath.
Slipping the condom off, he cleaned himself up with a tissue and tossed both into the nearby trash before turning to give the woman beside him an assessing look.
“Do you want to go clean up a little before we go to sleep?” He asked, running a finger gently over her arm.
“In another minute,” she gave a single, tired nod.
“Okay,” he agreed, rubbing her skin to warm in as the sweat they had developed cooled it. After a few beats he broke the silence with another question, “Ummm, does this count as our day one?”
“Yeah,” she laughed. “Valentine’s Day, huh? I guess that will make it easy to remember, won’t it?”
“I’m not sure I’d say that was the memorable part,” he teased back. “Thank you for being mine.”
“Thank you for loving me back,” she said, craning up to press a kiss to his lips. “Happy day one.”
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my days with you,” he grinned, wrapping her tightly in his arms and breathing her in as he held her close.

You're at Wendy's place like you promised and ring the doorbell. Quickly, you hear footsteps and watch as the door swings open to see an excited Wendy. She opens up her arms and you give each other a warm hug.
You enter her house, and it's a cozy sight. It was a modest house with warm colors on the wall and matching colored furniture. Then, you notice a sweet and chocolatey smell coming from what you assumed was the kitchen. You can't help but to begin cracking open a smile as you look at Wendy.
"Did you make something just for me?"
Wendy smiles back at you and gently pushes your shoulder.
"Of course I did, silly. I told you I'd pay you back properly."
Wendy takes your hand and you shyly follower her into her kitchen. There she had dinner laid out as well as some brownies and cookies that she had freshly baked. You could feel your mouth watering at the sight.
"Well I be damned, you might be a better chef than me."
Wendy laughs at your comment before trying to be modest.
"Hey, you probably do a lot more cooking than I do. I prefer baking over cooking proper meals."
"But seriously… this all looks so good. Let's take a picture together and post it! I want people to know!"
"Know what?" Wendy asks you while laughing a little bit at your bubbling excitement.
"That the great Wendy went through all of this effort just for me." You gush.
You pull Wendy close to you and grab your phone. The close proximity making Wendy panic just a bit. She calms herself down though as you position the both of you in front of the food, taking a picture and uploading it on Twitter. The both of you are smiling happily and you decided to just tweet a ":D" with the photo. Wendy retweets it before the both of you sit down and eat dinner together.
Occasionally though, the both of you check Twitter to see everyone's responses. Reading the replies aloud to each other, the both of you feel happy to see fans happy about your blossoming friendship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I'm really happy that Seulgi pushed me to do this collaboration with you." You confess to Wendy with a smile. She nods her head in agreement.
"I think I'm really lucky to meet a person as cool and genuine as you."
It was a heartfelt moment to be acknowledging the enjoyment the both of you received from each other's presence. The both of you continued reading replies, most of them spurring the two of you to continue complimenting each other. Although… there were some replies that warranted a different response. After laughing at a previous comment, Wendy began reading a different one.
Tumblr media
"Oh look, this person says that you and I would… make a good couple." Wendy says, all of a sudden rubbing her neck and looking bashful. You watch her as she says this and feel equally as embarrassed. You tried to steer the conversation in a different direction.
"I mean, how would they know right? It's just been some banter and one picture of us together." Wow. Real smooth there.
The two of you decide to go about dinner without anymore Twitter, and time once again slips by as you're both engrossed in conversing with each other.
After you both finished dinner, Wendy began microwaving some popcorn and had you sit on the couch. She pulls up Netflix on the TV as sits with a large, warm bowl of popcorn in her lap and you reaching for popcorn to put in your mouth.
"What do you wanna watch?" She asks you.
"Anything you wanna watch, it's up to you." You shrug in response.
"You know, I really hate indecisive people." She teases you.
In the end though, Wendy chose a random and a bit unknown romcom to watch with you. To be honest though, it was kind of a bad movie, leading you to slowly drift away into sleep. Although you found the movie boring, Wendy was a sucker for romance, a sucker for comedy, and especially a sucker for what were seen as cheap and bad movies. She was totally engrossed.
When you first started watching the movie with Wendy, you guys were already sitting next to each other. By the time you fell asleep though, the already small gap between the two of you was completely closed. When Wendy stopped paying attention to the moving and turned her head over to gage your reaction. She was shocked to see that instead of sitting there, watching the movie with her, your head had found its way onto her shoulder.
She bit back a smile while looking down on you. Thoughts about how cute you looked began to creep into her mind, but she pushed them away. She sets the bowl of popcorn down and carefully moved out of your way. Quietly, she makes her way to her bedroom and picks out a blanket for you to use. She returns to your sleeping form and lays it across your body to keep you warm.
"Goodnight, Y/N." She whispers. She begins to walk out of the living room and back into her room.
As Wendy does this though, your eyes flutter open just a little bit. You watch as Wendy slowly leaves the room. You don't bother calling out to her or getting up. Your face heats up in embarrassment at the thought of you dozing off in front of Wendy so easily like that. You feel a strange fuzziness in your stomach as you bask in the smell of the blanket though. It smelled of Wendy, and something about it seemed so intoxicating to you. Quickly, you drift back to sleep again.
The sun has risen and so has your body. When your eyes opened you took in the sight of the living room, a sight much different from the bedroom you'd usually be greeted with. Conveniently, Wendy had begun waking up herself around the same time. You hear a soft click from her bedroom door as she opens it, walking into the living room. Rubbing her eyes she catches you awake and smiles. Before she can say anything though, you wanted to thank her.
"Thanks for the blanket, and sorry for falling asleep so suddenly… I'm sure the movie was great." You laugh towards the end, knowing the it most definitely wasn't if the beginning of the movie had anything to say.
"No problem. You know, hanging out with you is really fun." Wendy admits.
"I'm glad you think that." You said quietly.
The both of you decide to just have cereal for breakfast, and once again you find yourselves talking.
"Mmm," you begin saying while in a middle of a bite. You swallow first and then continue talking. "Hey, I just realized we haven't exchanged numbers at all!"
Wendy takes a second to think.
"I guess we really haven't."
"How about you give me your number?"
"Is this your way of hitting on me?"
"No no no, really I just want your number." You shake your head at her. Wendy giggles a bit and you exchange numbers.
"Besides giving me your number, you know what else we should do? We should make a video together to keep building up the hype for our EP." You tell Wendy, and her face seems to beam with intrigue at the idea.
"That sounds really cool, your place or my place?"
"How about we do one at both of our places and post it on our different YouTube channels?"
"Yeah, what would we do though?" Wendy asks for clarification.
"How about…" You think for a second. "How about we can do one where we sing a duet and then another were we just ask some prompt questions?"
Wendy agrees with your proposal. Soon enough though, you feel like it's time to go. Before you get to open Wendy's door to leave though, she hugs you from the back.
"Thanks for coming over, Y/N." Wendy speaks into your back.
She doesn't see it, but you feel your face heat up again.
"Anytime, like you said, hanging out with you is fun."
You say your goodbyes and head back home.

Her Everything
Part of @svuappreciation #WSVU Week. Day 7: Heartbreak. Twelve-year-old Olivia overhears why her mom never told her who her dad is. TW: rape mention.
From March to June, twelve-year-old Olivia’s Saturday mornings would be dedicated to softball. Her team may not have won that morning, but the loss didn’t matter to Olivia. She had hit a homerun and three of her favorite people were there to watch her: her mom, her uncle, and her girlfriend, Alex. It made Olivia particularly proud to see her two favorite women dressed in her team colors. Alex was wearing a mint green v-neck t-shirt with her long hair back in a ponytail with a mint green scrunchie. Her mom wore the t-shirt that all the moms wore but, never being the kind to wear an oversized t-shirt, she had cut it into a tank top to wear with her leggings. Neither her mom nor Alex knew anything about softball, but her uncle Kyle was there to explain everything to them and, even if Alex didn’t understand the game, Olivia didn’t mind as long as her cute good luck charm was there to watch her play.
She and Alex had been a couple for two months and, at twelve, two months felt like a serious commitment, especially because Alex was now allowed to come over on weekends. There wasn’t even the slightest chance that she’d be allowed in Olivia’s room with the door closed, but Olivia didn’t care where they were as long as she was allowed to hold Alex’s hand.
They decided to watch a movie on the couch after the game while Olivia’s mom and uncle were having a glass of wine in the kitchen. Olivia always enjoyed when her uncle visited and she’d overhear the casual back and forth between them-the kind that happened between siblings-the casual teasing, sharing stories, making each other laugh. It was what Olivia sometimes longed to have even if she knew it were impossible.
“I wish I had a brother,” she told Alex.
Alex pressed pause on the remote so she could focus on Olivia without any distractions. “No, you don’t,” she told her, her eyes wide. “Little brothers are annoying. I’ll give you mine for the weekend and you’ll be so glad you’re an only child.”
“Not even,” Olivia insisted. “Your little brother Logan is fun. Remember when me and him built a LEGO T-Rex and your parents took us to the batting cages and I taught him how to hit a curveball?”
Alex batted her eyelashes at her. “That’s because you like boy things.”
“I like you,” Olivia said as she started to tickle her. “And you are definitely not a boy thing.”
“Olivia!” Alex squealed loudly when Olivia continued to tickle her.
“Girls?” they heard Serena call out from the kitchen. “What are you doing in there?”
“Nothing,” Alex and Olivia responded in unison, although they knew their time alone was now over. She quickly pressed play on the remote and sat a comfortable distance away from Alex.
Her uncle Kyle was the first to enter the living room followed by her mom, both with a full wine glass in hand. “Your mom says we have to come cramp your style, as if she didn’t have her first girlfriend when she was twelve or thirteen,” her uncle said to her. He sat down on an accent chair on one side of the couch while her mom sat down on the other. “What are we watching?”
“The Blair Witch Project,” Alex responded. “I’ve always wanted to see it, but my mom has my Netflix profile set to a Kids’ profile. I never get to watch anything fun. I’m twelve now. I should be able to watch whatever I want.”
“Maybe not whatever you want,” Serena told her. “But I’m sure she’ll let you watch more things little by little. Middle school sleepovers are when most girls start watching horror movies.”
“I remember the first time Serena watched this movie with her friends,” Kyle began. “She had a sleepover for her 13th birthday and there were probably ten girls over. My sister thought she was so cool because she was the only one who wasn’t scared. What she didn’t tell them was that she had watched this movie the night before to prepare herself so she wouldn’t be scared in front of her friends. There’s this scene toward the end where there’s a lot of screaming and that’s when I decided to mess with the circuit breaker and turn all the lights off in the house. Serena ran to our parents’ room, screaming ‘Daddy!’ at the top of her lungs. Just like that, her seventh grade reputation was ruined.”
Olivia was laughing hysterically, but Alex wasn’t so amused. “That sounds like something my little brother would do. Why are boys such jerks?”
Serena gently swirled her wine in the glass before taking a sip. “Boys are jerks until you humble them.”
“Had I known what my sister was capable of, I wouldn’t have spent the first 18 years of my life messing with her and it’d be in your brother’s best interest for him not to mess with you either,” Kyle responded. “Serena and I are best friends now, but when we were kids, I messed with her all the time and she never did anything about it. Little did I know she wasn’t one for petty revenge. My sister is calculated and cunning and she got me back in the best way.”
“How?” Alex asked, wide-eyed. “Is it something I can do, too?”
“Maybe in a few years,” Serena responded. “It was the first time frat boys proved themselves useful. Out of every college in America, he decided to go to the same school I did and join my sorority’s brother fraternity.”
“Had I known my sister had actual henchmen, I wouldn’t have,” Kyle chuckled. “This was 2007, so you know those douchey looking frat boys in teen movies back then with the gelled hair and Abercrombie shirts with the popped collars? That’s exactly what they looked like. They had these rich boy names like Kemper, Bennett, and Bradford, and my sister had all of them wrapped around her finger. They made my life a living hell when I started pledging just because she told them to and when I begged her to call this whole thing off, she said, in the most innocent tone of voice, ‘My darling baby brother, this is only the beginning. You still have eight weeks left.’ After that, I never messed with Serena again. To this day, I won’t even eat the last slice of pizza until I make sure Serena doesn’t want it. There was this other guy, Emerson, who was her best friend at the time-”
“I have to call my girlfriend,” Serena interrupted. “Excuse me.” She quickly got up to leave and Kyle hurried after her.
“Ren, I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking. Ren?”
Although she wanted to check on her mom, she knew whatever her mom was upset about was probably something she had no business asking about, so she decided to stay with Alex. “Everything is okay,” Alex said as she rested her head on Olivia’s shoulder. “My brother and I fight all the time and everything is okay after our parents make us talk about it.”
“Maybe you’re right.” Olivia pressed play on the remote and the two of them watched the movie until the pizza arrived. With free reign to order whatever she wanted, Olivia got two large pizzas, wings, cheesy bread, and pasta. It took both her and Alex to carry it to the table, but Olivia made sure to carry the pizzas because they were the heaviest items and Olivia thought it would show Alex how strong she was.
“I’ll be right back,” she told Alex once everything was neatly placed on the kitchen table. “Mom! Uncle Kyle! The pizza is here!”
She pressed her ear to the door and kept as quiet as she could so she could hear them talking.
“How could you even bring him up in front of Olivia?” she heard her mom ask. “Or bring him up in front of me, for that matter? You’ll never understand what he did to me...what he still does to me every time I see him on social media with his wife and kids. He ruined my life when he raped me and it didn’t phase him. I don’t follow him. I don’t search for his name. I blocked him, but there’s no getting away from him in our social circle when everyone knows everyone. I have these constant reminders of the worst night of my life. Even Olivia…I just thought...how could I love someone that was conceived by a monster?”
She never even wanted me. She still doesn’t want me. The person I love most in the world doesn’t even love me back. She’s just been saying it all these years because she’s had to. Olivia swallowed hard to prevent herself from crying. With Alex waiting for her in the kitchen, she wanted to remain calm and collected. She didn’t cry when she saw her. Instead, she hugged Alex longer than she ever had before and found comfort in her arms since she knew she couldn’t hug her mommy anymore.
Just as she had been taught to do by her own mother, Serena touched up her makeup and pretended as if nothing had happened. It was all a misunderstanding her mother had told her when she was twenty-one. ‘What did you expect, Serena? You were in his room and you kissed him.’ It was the same thing his mother and father had told her, too. ‘How was my son supposed to know when you were giving him every signal that you wanted him to.’ Her father had told her not to report it; they’d settle this between the two families. Mr. Benson was a producer and with a premier coming up, he didn’t want an investigation getting in the way and ruining his career. Social media was in its infancy in 2008, but Emerson and his parents had found a way to use it against her.
That night, once Alex and Kyle went home and Olivia was fast asleep, she started to reflect on what had gotten her to that point in her life. It happened at a beach-themed party that Emerson’s frat was hosting. She was in a bikini top and denim shorts as were the rest of the girls and she had taken a few shots as had everyone else at the party, but the pictures posted on Facebook the next day portrayed a girl that had gotten completely wasted and was hanging on the entire executive board of the fraternity. For the past two years they had been her friends and she had several pictures with them, but because of what she was wearing and because these were some of the first to be posted on social media, an entirely different narrative was created, one that even her own parents believed.
Serena knew the statistics on rape that were told to her and every other student during freshman orientation, but she had lived a sheltered life before college and she had always imagined that rapists were scary-looking men that attacked girls in the middle of the night when they walked alone on quiet streets. She never could have fathomed that her rapist would be her best friend.
With three weeks left of her junior year, Serena was already looking forward to her final year of college. She had run for president of her sorority and found out she won just hours before the party began. Serena wasn’t a binge drinker by any means, but she drank more than usual that night to celebrate her victory. She went up to Emerson’s room just as she did every time she visited the frat house, but unlike every other night, she kissed him. Kissing led to something a little further that she consented to, but when she said she didn’t want to have sex and wanted to take things slow if they were going to go from best friends to something more, he took that choice away from her. The alcohol she had consumed earlier had left her in an in between stage where she was lucid enough to know what was going on but too drunk to fight him off of her. To make matters worse for her, he held her afterward and suggested she stay the night because, as he said, ‘you never know what kind of maniacs are out there in the middle of the night.’
...but she didn’t stay. She figured whoever was out there probably wasn’t as bad as who was in that frat house. Not knowing what else to do when she got home, she immediately got in the shower to wash off his scent and anything else of his that was left on her. She saw the bruises on her body from when he held her down and, for the first time, it felt real for her. It wasn’t a bad dream or some drunken hallucination. Her rapist wasn’t the boogeyman hiding in the shadows; he was one of the people she loved most in the world.
Kyle had beat him within an inch of his life once he found out what had happened and it was another thing that both families swept under the rug to protect their image. It’ll all go away during summer break, Serena told herself. I’m going to come back here and I’m going to be president of Phi Delt and be who I used to be-who I still am; however, a positive pregnancy test that summer made her come to the realization that her life would never be the same. Her parents and her friends all told her to ‘get rid of that thing’ and she had every intention of getting an abortion until she felt her baby kick. She knew her life would never be the same and she also knew it probably wasn’t the right approach to take, but Serena wanted to right the wrongs of her own mother and she felt as if this baby would give her that opportunity.
“Mommy,” she heard her now twelve-year-old daughter sobbing in the doorway of her bedroom that night, bringing her out of her thought process.
Serena lifted up her comforter and patted the bed with her hand so her daughter could join her. “Come here, Ollie.”
Once she lied down, she felt Olivia cling to her tighter than ever before. “Mom, I heard something you told Uncle Kyle and I wanna know if it’s true or maybe you’re gonna lie to me again. I don’t know. If you want, I can leave. We can call social services tomorrow and-”
“Ollie,” Serena interrupted, completely taken aback. “Ollie, what are you talking about? I never want you to leave me.” One of Serena’s worst nightmares had just come true. She was going to have to tell her and she had no idea how.
“I know you were raped,” Olivia blurted out. “I know you never wanted me and my dad was some monster who hurt you. Do I remind you of him? Why did you even keep me? No mom would want a daughter like me. I learned that in some places abortion is only legal if the pregnancy is because of rape. It’s okay everywhere to abort babies like me. I’m one of those kids that’s...less than. I’m the kind that it’s okay to get rid of.”
Serena wiped her daughter’s tears away and held her close. She still had the slightest hint of the cologne that she wore whenever she wanted to impress Alex, but the LEGO movie PJ shirt and PJ pants she was wearing made Serena feel like she was still her little girl despite how much she was growing up. “Ollie…” she hesitated to give herself more time to think. “Every woman has the right to choose what she does with her own body and I would never judge another woman for the choices she’s made regarding abortion just as I’d like to think no other woman would judge me. With that being said, I had every option in the world available to me and out of all those options, I knew the best choice for me was to keep you and I’ve never regretted that.”
“Do you promise?”
“Hold up your pinky,” Serena told her. Olivia held up her pinky next to Serena’s. They were both wearing heart-shaped pinky rings that Serena had bought a year earlier. “Remember what I said when I got us these matching rings that time we went on our mother/daughter adventure? I pinky promise to always love you and always be there for you. No matter what happens in life or how far away you may go for college or for your career, I’ll always be in your heart and you’ll always be in mine. I know things weren’t easy for us at first and I couldn’t be there for you as much as I wanted to when you were little and I might have made a few mistakes, but there was not a single moment in your entire life that I didn’t love you.”
“I don’t remind you of him when you look at me?”
“No, Ollie, nothing about you reminds me of him. Yes, that had crossed my mind when I was pregnant, but that never happened once you were born,” Serena promised her. “You don’t even look anything like him. You look like your uncle Kyle but never tell him that because you’re beautiful and I don’t want him thinking he’s attractive and getting all arrogant about it.”
“Mom,” Olivia laughed.
Olivia’s laughter was and always would be Serena’s favorite sound. Her daughter had been conceived in a violent act, but everything about her was so innocent. The twelve years since she had given birth to her had been the best years of her life. Twelve years of cuddles, laughter, and being able to love someone so unconditionally. She’d do anything for Olivia and she had already done more than her daughter would ever know. There were custody battles between her and Emerson when Olivia was a baby and he was still trying to fight Serena for the chance to be a part of Olivia’s life. It all happened out of court now that he had a wife and kids, but she and Kyle and the rest of the Benson family were going to do all they could to keep him away from Olivia.
“Ollie, I want you to listen to me, okay?”
“Okay,” Olivia nodded.
“You are, have been, and forever will be the best thing that has ever happened to me. He was there when you were conceived but he didn’t create you. It was my body that created you for nine months, not his. You are nothing like him, Ollie. You are the sweetest girl and being your mom has been the greatest experience and greatest honor of my entire life.”
“Mom?”
“Yes, Olliegator?”
“I don’t think you made any mistakes. I think you’re the best mom in the world. My friends think so, too. Everyone says you’re the cool mom.” Olivia gave her a kiss on the cheek. “And, Mom?”
“Yes, Ollie Koalie?” Serena playfully tapped her daughter’s nose.
“Why do you sleep in Jamie’s shirt instead of the pretty pajamas you used to wear?”
It was yet another question that Serena wasn’t prepared for. “Jamie is my girlfriend now and she and I love each other very much and sometimes, when we aren’t together, I really miss her. If I sleep in her shirt, it’s like she’s here with me.”
“I miss Alex sometimes, too,” Olivia responded. “Do you think she’d like it if I gave her a shirt to wear when she misses me?”
“I think she’d like that very much,” Serena told her even if she wasn’t ready for her little girl to be that serious about her girlfriend. “I have an idea. What about if you and I have a sleepover night?”
“Sleepover night!” Olivia said excitedly. “I’ll make the popcorn and pick a movie for us to watch. Can we watch another scary movie?”
“Anything you want,” Serena smiled at her.
Sleepover night was Olivia’s favorite mother/daughter tradition and, even if she was tired, Serena was willing to do whatever she could to make her daughter feel loved.
When her college-aged self imagined life in her thirties, she imagined she’d be a famous writer living in London or Paris and she’d spend all of her free time travelling the world and treating life like some grand adventure. Motherhood had never even crossed her mind because she felt it would only slow her down. Serena Benson was now just a couple of weeks shy of her 34th birthday and, although her life had turned out nothing like she had planned, the twelve-year-old girl eating handfuls of popcorn on the couch next to her-her daughter, her everything-was the reason why it had turned out better than she could ever imagine.

Moodboard #3
Tumblr media
I was not able to make another moodboard since February because there's not much difference from what I was feeling from back then to now. It was pretty much all the same. Still wanting to get away and have freedom, yk same old shit but it wouldn't be a surprise that some things did change throughout this 5 mos like :
My lovely Calico cat Jimina gave birth to 5 kittens originally. She was pregnant at the start of this year and blessed the world with 5 cute mini jiminas on March 9 (same birthdate of BTS Suga)
3 of the kittens inherited her orange and white fur while the other one inherited the dark, striped fur completely devoid of any white fur. Only one kitten out of 5 got her triple color coated fur.
Sadly only 3 survived. Jimina hid the kittens briefly first and then abruptly one day she brought them up again already grown up, able to walk and with their eyes open but she only had 3 kittens with her. I never got to find out what ever happened with the other 2 babies with one of the missing of the kittens was the one that fully inherited the Calico cat status of Jimina which devastated me the most and I'm still heartbroken to this day that some of her babies didn't get to live like their siblings. I don't want to think that they died, I want to actually believe that they somehow survived without their mother miraculously but it's only the plausible reason why they never showed up at all 😞
The 3 surviving kittens tho is a lot of fun! They were rumbustious and full of energy. They were always playing and running around in my mom's garden. Climbing up a tree or an orchid branch, playing hide and seek through the plethora of plants. It was a treat to see them just having fun and I took lots of videos. I decided to name them after the BTS maknaes nicknames which is Kookie, Mochi and TaeTae. All 3 kittens have a very distinct personality from each other like you could immediately tell that Kookie is more introverted than the other two, his more reserved and prefers to be alone most of the time, TaeTae is more adventurous and playful but he doesn't trust that easily while Mochi on the other hand is the most extroverted and trusting out of all (FYI: I named them first without knowing their personalities believe it or not). Overall they brought so much life and extra joy in me. Now that they are 4 mos old, they don't play that much anymore, I guess it's really part of growing up regardless of what species. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now onto my summer. I was dreading it's arrival. It's not fun when you don't have an AC at your house in the hottest season. But anyways this summer I've been having this strong desire to experience Italian summers. I just wanted to be in Italy soooooo bad. I just want to ride my bicycle anywhere in rural Italy in a summer floral dress and eating a delicious gelato after while listening to Love my way by the Psychedelic furs. Yes this strong desire got even stronger after watching the movie Call me by your name. It envoked so much nostalgia within me which is weird because I've never set foot in Italy before but the feeling of longing that I experience just thinking about spending your summer in Italy is very strong.
Additionally, speaking of bicycles I successfully finished my remodeling or rather repainting of an old bicycle we have here which is perfect for summer aesthetics. I mentioned before on my previous moodboard back in February that I was in the process of painting this bike and I included a picture of a bike that I would like my own bike to look like after I'm finish with it. And I'm very happy and satisfied with the end result overall! And I would love love to ride it around Italy!...... perhaps.
These are 3 of the most impactful things that had rocked my world within the past few months and they are in a form of a documentary, an animated podcast and an anime film!
1. Grey Gardens
I first discovered Grey Gardens when I was actively looking for any good documentary to watch so I went to Reddit recommendations and one user suggested grey gardens. Its description peaked my interest enough to go check it out and luckily the full documentary is uploaded in YouTube for free. And I must say I'm glad that I took the chance to watch this wonderful hidden gem!
Little Edie quickly got my full attention on her. She's one of the most wonderful and fascinating people to exist in our world and her mother big Edie was just as interesting of a character as well. The way they live their life, spending most of their time in a rundown mansion near a beach was truly a sight to behold in a weird, peculiar manner.
What gives me the most profound impact about this documentary is the topic of wasted youth with wasted potential and the ironic part when your very own lifeline equally imprisons you as well. And we see this most evidently with little Edie. There was a part in this doc that stuck with me the most and it's when the mother-daugther duo was sunbathing in the balcony and little Edie mentioned about wanting freedom from her mother and the grey gardens then big Edie answered:
"you can't have freedom when you're being supported"
And this has struck a chord on me so strong because I relate to it so much especially with my current situation. I also crave freedom from where I am right now but I couldn't because I'm not capable of freeing myself.
What's more tragic was little Edies rebuttal to her mother's hotknife realistic take which was you can't have freedom both ways. That you couldn't have freedom when you're not being supported as well. And it's very true. If you decide to go out in the world by yourself you will definitely be freed from the shackles of your former home & life but you will subject yourself to another imprisonment.
Basically We're never truly free in this life.
2. The Midnight Gospel
I think I've heard of TMG when it was about to launch on its release year and I remember i was anticipating for it to come out because i just took one look at the official poster & I knew I would like the animation then I learned Pendleton ward is a part of it & I'm a huge fan of his creations so it's a double treat but I didn't had the opportunity to watch it back then bcoz of my busy shitty life & I actually don't have Netflix. But I remember i downloaded one of its ost first things first.
Now fast forward to this year. I now have the time to watch every content out there that I missed from all the years of slaving my life away for absolutely nothing. one of those is TMG & it was a perfect timing. Ever since i took an hiatus from the rat race I decided to strengthen my spirituality & this time I want to try delving deep to Buddhism and certain philosophies which I don't have the time and energy to learn before and TMG was a great and perfect medium for me to learn further about this subjects as they tackle topics like mindfulness and meditation and much more other significant things, not to mention the superb, epic, psychedelical, full of awesomeness animation on top of equally superb awesome soundtracks is*chefs kiss ( I still have an LSS to the prisoner's song.. 🎵drinking blood from a stump of a prison guard that I just chopped up....🎶)
I felt like the universe intended for me to watch this later than sooner because if I had the opportunity to watch it back then, I think I wouldn't/couldn't appreciate this show as much as I do now. So thanks universe!
TMG is honestly one of the best show to ever grace the planet imho. An easily perfect 10/10 for me.
3. To the Forest of Firefly Lights
Now I've watched a lot of animes last and this year and I can tell in full confidence that this is the best of them all. I'm sure it's subjective but this one checked all the box for the most compelling story & amazing artwork for me.
Maybe I long for something similar with the characters, It was just so fascinating and huntingly beautiful to have someone or something (whatever your preference is) from a different realm to be by your side. Maybe I would also like to look forward for summer season to come for once, to get excited and get rejuvenated on a hot summer that otherwise would make my life hell. Or maybe and most definitely I just needed someone like Gin as a source of my utmost happiness and comfort.
Overall this anime had made me feel so much warmth in my heart with its unadulterated poignancy and I just couldn't get enough of it. What a masterpiece ✨
Ps: I recommend listening to Warning Sign by Coldplay after watching to the Forest of Firefly Lights 🌹Check it out ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Quarantine Headcanons for Billie x Reader x Audrey
This is for Anon: Can you do another Billie Audrey and reader story they are addicting and you’re such a great reader!! Can we see one where they are in quarantine and a lot of fluff?
I know this isn’t a fic, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! Also I hope you all are still staying safe and healthy at this time. And maybe these headcanons will bring a little sunshine to your day! Thank you for all of the likes and feedback! 💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(https://ahsdaily.co.vu/post/150514222930)
I alluded to this in my other fic at the beginning of quarantining for coronavirus, but Billie would for sure take this time to have sex with you and Audrey anywhere and in every position.
Of course there are the usual places like your bed, your shower, your bathtub, and your couch. But you end up christening the living room coffee table, the steps of your staircase, the top of your washing machine in between cycles, and even one time inside of your food pantry.
Because both Billie and Audrey are celebrities, they both take part in different Instagram lives on their own and with other people. Normally you stay out of the public eye because if they are invited to an event they only get a plus one. So they go together. But when you accidentally interrupt their shared live, people immediately are interested in you.
At first Audrey is a little annoyed at all of the attention you’re getting just for accidentally opening the door and Billie giving you a minimal introduction. But you suggest that maybe after people see you once they’ll get bored and move on. So in the next live they do, they introduce you and it helps…kind of.
Instead of people focusing on you, their audience focuses on all three of you being an item. So once a week, all three of you will sit down and do a short live. Sometimes you answer questions, sometimes you play a boardgame, or sometimes you just chat for a while. But people love it either way.
Speaking of social media, it’s early on during quarantine when you download tiktok. And while you were skeptical about the app before all of this, you do find yourself learning the dances and posting some of your own content.
Of course your girlfriends are featured in a few of your tiktoks, but they also just think it’s funny and cute to see you randomly doing the dances around the house and singing to yourself. However if they wake up to see you still scrolling through tiktok for what’s probably been hours into the middle of the night, they will sandwich you in between them and summon you to sleep by intensive cuddling.
Because of the virus, your usual staff that performs daily tasks can’t come over. So Audrey signs the three of you up for an online cooking course. In the beginning, you know most of the techniques, but you do end up refining your skill. And Billie and Audrey become much, much better cooks.
And because Audrey feels so passionate about cooking now, she decides to order plenty of seeds to plant a whole garden. And this garden is supposed to take up a large chunk of your yard. However, because all three of you have never done something like this before, you look up how to successfully plant a garden and manage to actually do it.
Once it’s completely planted, this garden is Audrey’s literal child. She will go out each morning to track each plant’s growth. Her Instagram essentially becomes one for her garden and one time when she saw a racoon trying to get some of the fruits (and vegetables) of her labor, Audrey literally ran out and chased them off before you or Billie could stop her.
Besides learning how to cook, both Billie and Audrey have to clean. You never thought you would see your girlfriends doing laundry or scrubbing toilets, but they do it. And in the process, you help them go through and declutter the entire house for the first time in many, many years. That helps to refresh the house and makes cleaning much easier.
After a couple weeks of doing these hands-on tasks Billie’s acrylics all eventually pop off. So you offer your “services” to give her a manicure and she gladly accepts. She even lets you pick out the colors. Of course Audrey joins in and incorporates special toners, serums, and facial treatments since her aesthetician is unavailable and she’s afraid of her wrinkles emerging (Which both you and Billie assure her are nonexistent, but still)
Even with all of these new tasks, after being at home for more than three months you are bored and want to change something up. Specifically you want to do something different with your hair. When you mention it, both of your girlfriends think you’re joking and say you wouldn’t even know how to pick out the right hair color let alone actually doing anything.
That angers you and only makes you more determined to prove them wrong. So you order some bleach and hair dye and secretly use them. However instead of surprising your girlfriends with a gorgeous new head of hair, you come to them with tears and completely ruined hair.
Both Billie and Audrey feel horrible seeing you so defeated, but there’s nothing they can really do except section your hair off and try to salvage what healthy hair remains, resulting in a very short haircut. Luckily the short hairstyle actually looks amazing on you! And Billie and Audrey love it as well.
Because the three of you have more time together than ever before, you’re able to be more involved with some of Billie and Audrey’s personal ventures. So when Audrey needs to practice reading her lines, you take on the other characters and read through the script with her.
Of course you speak in silly voices and make funny faces for different characters which makes Audrey giggle and reprimand you, but she does find it adorable and it helps her to remain in character better.
On Billie’s end, fortunately you are able to have access to an isolated tennis court. So you get to watch the medium play a sport that she is well-versed in. Plus seeing her in different cute tennis outfits all sweaty and wet…it just does things to you.
To try and make it fair, you and Audrey play as a team against Billie, but she still annihilates you both. While you and Audrey are exhausted and completely winded, Billie looks fully enlivened and even says this is “rusty” for her compared to when she regularly played.
Another thing you and Billie do while Audrey works virtually is check out a possible abandoned house for Billie to film at. In the beginning you are able to play it cool. However as she looks around and speaks with forces that are invisible to your eyes you begin to get the creeps.
You trust Billie, but after a couple hours of having lights flick on and off, unexplained footsteps, and cold drafts as she continues to speak to different spirits, you’re practically climbing up onto her, terrified.
Billie didn’t realize how intense the experience would be so when she sees you so scared she feels terrible. But you promise you’ll be ok. However when Audrey sees you even she notices how shaken up you are. So you share a nice, hot bath and Billie uses some cleansing techniques she has learned making you feel better. And she promises to be more aware of checking in on you next time.
A couple weeks before the date, they remember your birthday is coming up. Due to the coronavirus you can’t really do much. But they still ask what you would like to do out of the options available.
For you just being around your girlfriends is a gift in itself, but they insist. So you tell them that you would enjoy just spending a day out in nature after being cooped up for so long. Billie and Audrey take your small suggestion and go even further. On the morning of your birthday, they wake you up by serving you breakfast in bed. And it’s actually a good breakfast!
Then the three of you go to a park that is never very popular and hike a couple trails. And it just feels nice to have an outing. After hiking, you pick up take out from your favorite local restaurant and eat at home. And to finish the night off, the three of you have a campfire, make smores, and lay on a blanket to look up at the stars while cuddling and talking. Even though the day seems ordinary, this is one of the best birthdays you have had in years.
In terms of other holidays, you don’t really do too much. On Easter, Audrey convinces you and Billie to dress up and take some spring pictures in your yard. The theme was pastel colors and seeing Billie with her pearls in a blush pink dress as well as Audrey in a pistachio jumpsuit with a spontaneously made flower crown is adorable.
On the fourth of July, you grill up some food and the three of you spend the day by the pool. The day is even more special because Billie wears an American flag bikini you and Audrey bought for her with a cherry red color on her lips that matches her nails. Seeing her laid out like that has never made you or Audrey feel more patriotic in your lives. And she knows it too.
Now because Audrey is British, you and Billie enjoy teasing her about the defeat of England. She plays along, but really isn’t bothered. Especially because both of the loves of her life were born and raised in the United States.
For the first time all three of you are able to sit back and binge Netflix and Hulu as long as you want. And when you find out a couple of movies Audrey first appeared in are coming to these streaming services you ask about watching them.
At first she says no out of embarrassment, but after you promise to not make fun of her, she lets you watch them. In reality she is the hardest on herself about her “horrible” acting and how old she looks now. But you and Billie reassure her that she performed well and still looks absolutely beautiful.
This year Audrey received an invitation to attend the met gala and planned to take Billie as her plus one. Of course Audrey knows in the whole scheme of things, going to some gala is not something to make a big deal out of. But you and Billie know how honored Audrey felt and how disappointed she is. So you get her to put on the dress and give her a personal photoshoot. Of course it’s nowhere near professional, but the photos come out gorgeous and it does lift her spirits to see them.
When the information came out about masks being important to help flatten the curve and work to prevent the spread of coronavirus, before you can even look into it, Audrey has purchased color-coordinating masks for all three of you so you can match. But at the same time they are different enough to flatter each of your personal styles. And any time you have to go out, you all make sure to wear the coordinating ones.
Originally the three of you were going to travel to England to meet Audrey’s family for the first time this summer. Of course with the coronavirus you cancelled plans, however the three of your do take the time to FaceTime her family and meet them virtually. And they are all so nice. That’s when you see where Audrey gets her bubbly and friendly personality from.
You also take the time to FaceTime your own family and Billie’s family. For the first time you feel connected to a network of loved ones outside of the three of you and it’s really nice.
Finally, because the three of you are staying home, you take the opportunity to foster pets. You have always wanted to foster neonatal kittens and this is the perfect opportunity. Plus the idea of seeing your girlfriends holding and caring for the kittens makes your heart melt.
In the process the shelter contacts you about a dog to foster. At first, Audrey says no, but they assure you they’ll find a different foster home for them by the end of the weekend. So she begrudgingly allows it and—no kidding she falls in love with the dog.
The dog loves sniffing the kittens (but they are also lowkey terrified because they’re so small and fragile), going on long walks with Audrey, playing fetch or tug-of-war with you, and snuggling up with Billie at night. So you do end up fostering the dog and consider adoption.
However when you meet the applicant and see the dog light up at seeing the children of the family, you know they belong with these adopters who have kids for them to play with. So…even though it’s tough and Audrey sheds some tears, you all remember the good times you had with the dog and know the kittens will be there to snuggle and provide a little comfort when you get home.

Wrist of Faith
Tom Holland x reader
Author note; This is my first tom holland x reader so I hope you like it I don’t find it particularly good but 🥺🥺💕💕
Synopsis; (Based on the VERY OLD tik tok trend) On you’re 16th birthday you get the first words your soulmate will say to you.
🧚🏻‍♀️Masterlist 🧚🏻‍♀️
Tumblr media
Everyone has a soulmate, it was just common knowledge. Everyone would wake up on their 16th birthday with a brand new tattoo on their wrist saying the first sentence you're soulmate will say to you.
For some people, it took months to find them and maybe even years. You’d heard wonderful tales of how people found their soulmates in the most random moments. People say that when both of you said the first sentence to each other the words would illuminate and turn your favorite color. Some were lucky enough to be with their best friends, and some with strangers. to say almost of your friends had found their soulmates was an understatement. Really ALL your friends found their soulmates. For you, it had already been more than three years and no sign of life from him.
It all started on the morning of your 16th birthday, you slowly shifted your sleeve and it showed 6 small words and comma all inn ink-black “Hi everyone, thank you for coming.”
You remember passing days on end wondering what these words meant. you passed nights making up weird scenarios in you’re head. You were sometimes scared that he could be a university or college teacher saying hi to the class in the morning, but you quickly pushed that idea way being almost sure he couldn’t be much older than you.
That didn’t mean you lost hope. No, you were 100% sure you were going to meet him, you just hoped it was soon.
“Honey, I'm home.” Your mom called getting you out of your thoughts.
You closed you’re computer and walked to the living room.
“Hi”
“Hi”
“How’s it like to be on holiday” She smiled. She knew very well you passed the entire day binge-watching Disney+ and Netflix.
“Ha, fun. I got to watch all the high school musicals” You smiled brightly.
“Glad you're having fun.” She looked at you for a minute. “You want to come with me to work tomorrow? I think Jimmy is hosting Tom- Tom Holland, the spider-man guy. I mean it could be fun? No? Opportunity to Get you out of your room.” She smiled sheepishly
You loved your mom’s work. She was part of the crew for the tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy was like a crazy uncle to you and you knew the show’s backstages like your pocket. Jimmy was an old family friend and when he started the show, your mother was looking for a job and the perfect opportunity was there. You got to meet some of you're idols such as Mark Hamill or even Will Smith, and plus you loved watching the crazy games he always made them do.
But Tom Holland, you’d heard of him before. You never really paid attention to him or his movies. He was the brand new spider-man and you knew you’re best friend was crazy about him, which made her soulmate go crazy on jealousy.
You quickly made a list of pros and cons to why and why not you should go. Would this Tom Holland break your Disney+ marathon? Yes. Would you get to see Jimmy and have a fun time? Maybe. Would you have a chance to meet your soulmate in the streets? Also maybe.
“Sure, why not. I was going to start watching good luck charlie, but I guess that can wait.” you smiled, knowing well you had a 0.002%chance of meeting your soulmate.
So the next day, you got dressed and hopped in the car to one of your favorite places on earth; the studio where they shoot the tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy greeted you with the biggest hug and smile the second you stepped into his dressing room. You did the same and quickly flopped onto the couch in his dressing room.
“You staying backstage or going into the audience tonight?” Jimmy asked as he was fixing his tie.
“Um... maybe ill go in the audience, haven’t been there in a while.” You smiled.
A comfortable silence fell between the two of you has the makeup artist was finishing his make up. Soon enough the peace was broken by screams coming from outside.
“And that’s Tom” he laughed.
“I'm gonna go check it out” You laughed. You always loved seeing the crowds of fans cheering as celebs entered the studio. You went into the living room where a large window was open.
You took a peek outside. You saw a handsome young man getting out of the car. You’d never pay attention to him before but you had to admit he was quite cute. His bright smile had you almost melt. He was waving to fans as he got into the building. He was cute, he seemed nice you now understood your friend.
“I'm going to go and sit in the audience,” You told jimmy as you made you’re way to the stands. You sat next to some fans and patiently waited for Jimmy to come out. As he did everyone was cheering and clapping.
He waved to the audience to sit.
“Tom Holland everyone.”
Soon enough, the celebrity you spotted a few minutes earlier came out and smiled at the crowd. He had a pretty dreamy smile you thought. But your heart dropped at his words
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming, and. of course thank you for inviting me.” You felt like you were going to faint. Your heart was beating to fast for you’re liking. You tried calming yourself down but the cheers and the loud music didn’t help. So you quickly made your way to the public bathrooms in the main hallway.
The first thing you remember doing is washing your face with cold water. You looked at your wrist in confusion and remember his words who were now immortalized by Jimmy’s cameras for the whole world to see.
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming.”
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming.”
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming.”
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming,”
You whispered it to yourself at least 50 times before someone entered the bathroom getting you out of you're trans. Luckily for you, she didn’t pay attention to you and went directly in a stall.
You took a deep breath before you stepped back into the stands. You felt calmer as you heard Jimmy ask questions to Tom. Before he answered Tom laughed, and you felt his laughter take you to the moon. Sure you hadn’t met him before but you were falling hard, was that what you felt when you met your soulmate? Starstruck? Light? Dizzy?
You took in his features, his brown curls, his eyes, his jawline. He was cute. Very cute.
Now when he laughed you laughed like the rest of the audience, you weren't as panicked as before, you felt calm and peace.
The game that jimmy had him play was a game of “Pour It Out”. Easy enough the game consisted of 3 shots laid in front of each player, each shot came with a secret question, the player could either answer the question and take the shot or answer and reveal the question, but they had to reveal at least 1 question.
Tom laughed as Jimmy explained the game.
“Alright!” He clapped his hands together before gently removing the shot from its coaster. The audience fell silent as he read. The shot was white and had white decoration around the rim that looked like webs.
“The shot is called, “Web shot” He laughed and Jimmy joined him. He smiled at the question and answered.
“Not yet” He looked at the audience with a soft sad smile.
“Can you reveal the question?”
“Yes, ‘did you find you’re soulmate yet’” he showed the card.
“you didn’t? aw, I'm sure you will soon” Jimmy smiled, and he smiled as an answer.
You were 99.99% sure you were soulmates now. You quietly laughed to yourself.
The interview was soon over and the room fell quiet. You froze when you realize you had to face him.
Were your first words to him marked on his wrist?
You slowly entered the backstages and saw him, talking with you’re mom and Jimmy a cup of water in his hand. You smiled at the sight.
“Y/N” You’re mom waved. You walked towards them.
“Tom this is Y/N, she’s like a daughter to me,” Jimmy explained to Tom as he reached for a handshake.
“Hi, great show, hadn’t seen one in a while” You didn’t think twice before speaking to him, the words just seemed to flow out of your mouth as if you rehearsed these words a thousand times. These words felt simple, even stupid. But to Tom they were special. He froze in your handshake as you both felt warmth in your wrists, the black writing turned to white before it turned your favorite shade of f/c. You stared at each other for what felt like hours.
“I- um” You cleared your throat breaking the moment.
“What was that?” Jimmy asked laughing not understanding a bit of the situation.
“Nothing um-” You scratched the back of your head not knowing where yo put yourself.
“Yeah” Tom quietly laughed not knowing where to put himself either.
Your mom quickly restarted a conversation with Jimmy. You and Tom nodded to everything thing they said. You kept eying each other every now and then.
a few long minutes later your mom left and Jimmy too leaving you alone with your soulmate...
“Hi”
“Hi”
“Are we going to talk about what happened?” he asked, desperate for answers.
“What?” You laughed.
“I can’t be the only one who felt it” he laughed.
“No, you’re not.” You looked down at your wrist and laughed.
“What was yours” he smiled.
“Hi everyone, thank you for coming.” you said trying to imitate his accent.
“I don’t speak like that” he pretended to be offended. You both laughed, taking in each other.
“hi”
“hi”
The day after you two first met you planned the perfect date, you kissed and the rest became history.

Lockdown Tag game; I got tagged by @we-are-not-amoosed thank you! I keep forgetting you know I exist, also I hope you had fun being drunk at midnight on a Tuesday hjhjhj.
First of all, a big FUCK YOU to tumblr, because I was at the LAST QUESTION and opened ONE NEW TAB to look up the word windmill, and when I went back to tumblr, my post was GONE, so here we go again. If an answer seems short of half-answered, it’s because I didn’t feel like typing everything again.
Are you staying home from work or school?
HA. Yes. Love that for me. Not at all. My university opened for 1 1/2 weeks in March 2020, then for another 4 weeks in November, and it has been closed ever since. I’m in my dormitory in the town I study in, not home home at my parents’ place though, because that would Not end well. The internet connection sucks though, that’s really annoying with distance learning. When I go into The City for A Thing, I usually cycle past my department and it makes we Yearn to go back in there, which is a thing I didn’t think would ever happen, but one pandemic later and suddenly everyone would kill for the change to go back to work/school in person, wouldn’t we?
If you’re staying home who is there with you?
I live in a dormitory, so technically, there’s a lot of other people there, but I don’t really talk to any of them except for when we meet in the hallways or the kitchen or wherever, so really it’s just me, the stuffed animal my friend got me last year because I kept whining that I didn’t have a cat like her at her boyfriend’s place where she basically lives now, and the birds who come to eat from the bird house I put on my balcony.
If it makes you feel any better @we-are-not-amoosed, not that I think it will but hey, who knows, my twin sister is moving out in December, so I will be the only child at home with my parents during summer/Christmas/Easter break, which will be Not Fun. I’ll take another 1 ½ years for my degree, and another 2 if I do a master’s, so thats about... 1-3/4 years I’ll be alone with my parents while my perfect sister gets to move out and move on and live Adult Life fully respected as an Adult working with renewable energy, as opposed to the Disappointment who takes 5 years for a 3 year degree in a field that’s hard to find employment in and never Does Stuff like my mother wants me to Do Stuff.
Are you a homebody?
I’m with @we-are-not-amoosed there, I didn’t know what that meant, but Pons says “Stubenhocker”. A bit I guess? I’m definitely fine being home by myself if I’m unbothered there (read: not at my parents’ when they are home) and I do need time by myself to recharge. But probably like everyone else, I crave and enjoy social contact a ton more than Before. I meet a friend fairly often (aka the only friend still here instead of home for distance learning), and today we worked together (handing out flyers which idk why the company pays us to hand them out, like 95% of them get thrown away immediately, but hey, we’re getting paid 🤷) and then went to sit by the river, and there were SO MANY people there, it was not *entirely* corona-compliant (but outside with town-typical wind, so it’s fine I think, with my non-existent knowledge about spreading of viruses and such), but honestly? I just couldn’t be bothered to care in that moment: it was warm and sunny, I was there with a very close friend, people were laughing and dancing to good music, it was just so GOOD to be there, almost as if Corona didn’t exist. The police even drove by like they always do to check for people smoking weed and didn’t say anything like usual, so hey. It was just so good, okay? So, homebody? Within reason, I guess, but less than Before, probably.
An event you were looking forward to that eventually got cancelled?
Oh boy, SO MANY. The one I’m most bitter about was a very prestigious international interpreting event, that would have involved me interpreting in the actual European Parliament building in Strasbourg. But there was also a festival week with my best friend I was looking forward to, maybe even a second festival with another friend, my company’s ten year anniversary party, etc. And Prides! I came out to my family in 2019, and was like “Yay, I can finally go to Prides now!” but well 🤷
DUDE SO MANY ARE YOU KIDDING ME
CONCERTS: 5SOS (I SHOULD HAVE heard “Old Me” in a crowd full of other people getting nostalgic for their past selves, but NO), Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Rock im Park aka GREEN DAY AND RISE AGAINST (I have been trying to see Rise Against for YEARS and ALWAYS something gets in the way!), one or two small local artists.
ERASMUS: I should have gone to Russia for a semester to improve my not-too-great speaking skills but Corona said FUCK YOU you will study ALONE and LONELY in your ROOM like a child on TIMEOUT
PRIDE: none in particular, just generally it would have been nice to go, maybe even with a friend to the one in Vienna
Also just general stuff like birthdays and get-togethers with friends, and my club’s annual get-together was cancelled too, and it would have been my friend, sister and my’s 10-year-anniversary, so that sucked to get cancelled.
What movies have you watched recently?
Movies? Pfuh, I don’t know, I’m not really into movies anymore, tbh. TV-series and games are more my jam.
Descendants 1 +2, I finally watched those after I read so much fanfiction that I knew the plot without having watched a single scene that isn’t a music video that youtube kept showing me. They’re nice enough, if you overlook the fact that they make a 16-year-old king while there’s still perfectly capable adults but whatever, there’s a lot of cute moments (Carlos and Jane omg) and a lot of funny ones (UMA. Is HILARIOUS), the music kind of slaps ngl, and arguably Mal + Evie are queer and in love. I still want to watch the third soon, and rewatch The Hunger Games since it showed up on my dash recently.
What shows are you watching?
Rewatching Julie and the Phantoms forever until the end of time (or until season 2 comes out @netflix, and I started Brooklyn 99 again for background noise/low-energy background watching. A friend recommended Ginny & Georgia and it’s okay enough, but it’s written in a way that makes you want to keep watching because there’s just such whack stuff happening that you want it explained; it’s 1h episodes though, that’s a bit hard on my attention span. I want to rewatch FMA:B some time, too.
What are you reading?
@we-are-not-amoosed said “tumblr posts and the texts I translate at work” and if that isn’t a Mood. I’d love to read more, but my attention span is shit and my reading comprehension even worse. I *am* reading “Explain to me like I’m 5” atm which explains stuff easily, like, well, you’re 5 years old, so you’d think a 23-year-old could understand, no? No. I read it, I vaguely understand some stuff, I close the book, and it’s G-O-N-E, not a single thing left. Literally the only thing I remember – and this is why I had to re-write ^^^all that because I needed to look up the English word for Windräder, if that’s even what they’re called in German but whatever I’m tired – is that insects and birds die a LOT in windmills when they get too close and get sucked in and can’t escape anymore, which is one of the reasons windmills aren’t as environmentally friendly as we thought when we built them. Anyhow, I’d love to read more, but idk, there are a lot of posts on here, some I’ve reblogged, that are like.. something something reading fanfiction is easier because you already know the characters and universe something something less mental energy something something idk. Yeah I mostly read fanfiction these days. I hope I’ll get back to reading books sometime soon-ish, I have a long list.
What are you doing for self-care?
Hm. I meet my friend I mentioned above pretty regularly, and I have a notebook that I write stuff in that was nice or made me happy when that happened (like today: working with my friend and then sitting among people by the river in the sun with said friend). I’m getting a tattoo next week (3 cat paws + 1 dog paw = technically my two cats and my late cat and dog, but well, two of them are dead, so I asked two friends for a paw print of their cat and dog, so I’ll always have those two with me, too). I try to make a to-do-list each day, but I rarely stick to it. I apply eyeshadow and body glitter if I want to, I dye my hair bright colors (think pink, purple, blue, red, maybe orange next). I always have chocolate in my room meaning I stopped depriving myself of food I like/food in general because it’s “healthier”/”I need to lose weight” etc. all that you know all those great reasons. I went to a doctor about my knee and it ended up being useless but I went, so.
I also went to see a therapist but she is very useless, like “ended our first session telling me well she doesn’t know how to help me/if she can help me at all/if therapy would even help me” kind of useless; I’ll go again next week and see if that changes or if next week will be the last week and I’ll go back to Dealing Like Before, which is not great but whatever. I’ve lived until 23 without therapy, surely I can keep doing it. Therapy’s expensive if it’s not covered (which this doctor IS which is why I went to her but it’s still a waste of time) and if it’s not gonna work/not gonna help me apparently or if there’s nothing actually wrong OR that therapist is just like, bad at her job, what’s the point of going yk?
Uggggh, I hope the swimming pools and Zumba class will be open again soon, Zumba (also with said friend) is AMAZING, easy fun exercise you don’t need any knowledge or skill for and you can hang out with your friend by the street after for an hour and say goodbye five times and then remember one more thing you wanted to actually still mention and stand there for another 20 minutes hjhjhj. Best times, truly.
Idk this is probably not self-care but I got a small job working with Austrian German and it gnetflix the chance to save up a bit and add it to my resume and also hopefully get my mother to shut up about my non-existent job prospects for a bit, so that’s kind of helping in making me feel a bit more like I’m Being An Adult (also because it means I have to learn how to change my insurance and finance department stuff now, yey).
Tagging: @languages-and-else @psychicbouquetblaze-stuff @the-real-daddy-van-der-bellen @sunsetcurveofficial if you feel like doing it, also sorry @we-are-not-amoosed it became such a rambled long answe on almost everything hjhjhj

Haven't done this in a while but I had the time so why not?
1.- Pizza Girl by Kyoung Jean Frazier
🌟🌟🌟🌟
I really did like it, reminded me a lot of "Convinience store woman". Like clearly our protagonist needed thrapy ASAP to help her deal with her dad's death, her pregnancy, her attraction to women and hell just for existing as an Asian woman in the USA, but I liked how messy and obsesive she was and how the author allowed her to be fucked up and take bad decisions, I love to see female characters simply exist, it's also a pretty short read so I definitely recommend it.
2.-The Authentics by Abdi Nazemian
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Daría is a persian teen who is really involved in her cultural background and feels that the most important thing one can be is authentic, so that's the name she and her friends take for their clique. But everything comes crashing down on her when she discovers she is adopted, and soon follows an identity crisis. I loved it so much, it felt pretty realistic, like Daría could be self absorbed and unlikeable at times, but who wasn't as a teen? And we get such beautiful heartwarming moments between Daría and her family and friends. Totally recommend it.
3.- The Mall by Megan McCafferty
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cassie has her life completely mapped out but nothing goes quite as planned, first she gets mononucleosis and after she gets better gets dumped and fired almost simultaneously. Determined not to let it get the best of her, Cassie gets a brand new job, reconnects with an old friend and even finds a hidden treasure. This one is so much fun, all the 90s references and the growth Cassie goes through is amazing, honeslty i would love to see this as a Netflix movie.
4.- Luster by Raven Leilani
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was hard, Edie is a very raw character, at first she seems flippant even when describing disturbing facts about her past or details about her relationship with a much older man she seems to be talking about something that happened to someone else all this to cope dealing with her solitude, her trauma, her self hate. And gosh it was so intresting to see her interact with Rebecca and Akila, especially Akila as Edie finds kinship in this young girl not only cuz they are both black but because they are both lost and afraid.
5.- Lakewood by Megan Giddings
🌟🌟🌟
Lena decides to participate on a financially compensated medical experiment so her mom can get proper medical care and to lessen their debts after her Grandmother's death.
So I had many mixed feelings about this, on one hand I liked that we are adressing how sistematical racism has permited experiments on black people with no consequences at all and how it has been happening for decades, but there were certain parts of the book that I couldn't enjoy as much because they were very trippy like I get we are on Lena's mind as things are becoming muddled up because of the medications and all those mind games and the words they have her memorize and repeat but all of it took me a bit away from the story. Still I do recommend it just be aware there is quite a bit of body horror in this so if you are sqeamish better skip it.
6.-The Voting Booth - Brandy Colbert
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Marva and Duke meet on election day as she helps him find the precint he is registered on.
This is very enjoyable, the story is very straightforward, and it insists on our right and responsability to vote even if we feel our vote alone can't possibly change all the injustice we see in the world. And also the romance was cute and developed slowly as Marva and Duke are just knowing each other. Really cute and quick read.
7.- Such a fun age - Kiley Reid
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Emira works as a babysitter for the Chamberleins' . She loves her little charge Briar, although she feels preassured to seek a 'real job' by her friends and by her own economic troubles. Emira soon finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between her boss Alix who tries to befriend her, and Kelley the guy she is dating.
So much drama. This is a great example of what performative activism looks like, first Alix is completely nuts, from her obsession to be seen as this wonderful understanding girl boss activist and the down right creepy sense of entitlement to Emira's friendship and intimacy. Like it doesn't surprise me she chose to victimize herself instead of recognizing it had all been a misunderstanding. And even then she still wants to seem atractive to the man she feels victimized by. Girl no.
Kelley is the ultimate fake woke ally. Dude Robbie was wrong period, he had no business inviting people over to someone else's house no matter the color of his skin. You don't get to talk over Emira on matters of what a person of color should do or feel on certain situations. That said it was so funny when he and Alix called each other out for their fetishization of people of color and yet none of them actually gave a damn about what Emira thought/felt/percieved. They just wanted her stamp of approval so they could pat themselves in the back for being such good allies.
8.- The Life and (Medieval) times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton
🌟🌟
Kit is working as a serving wench at the Castle, medieval themed restaurant run by her uncle, though she really wants to be a Knight, not only cuz the better pay would help around the house but because she really admires Joan of Arc, problem is the Castle management doesn't allow for anyone who is not a cis male to be a knight. Kit is set on changing that.
Ok so I feel a bit lukewarm toward this. Kit in my opinion doesn't get much growth, it seems she just can do whatever and her friends have to be ok w it, her romance w her friend feels pulled out of nowhere like Jett at one point tells her he is not intrested in dating her and then he is ???, those GoT references killed me, I get it I watched the show and sometimes even enjoyed it but it's not representative of anything medieval and Kit was always talking about how much she liked the actual history of the medieval times so...
Also as much as this book was about feminism and how we should fight for equal job oportunities, it feels as though Kit only cared about medieval woman who fought physically and not on the badass medieval woman, like idk it feels as a rejection of tradicional feminity like even the girl playing the Princess is a jerk. But I did like some parts, like her decision to confront her asshole dad to help her mom and the girls training together.
9.-Cien años de soledad de Gabriel Garcia Marquez
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
10.-The Monsters of music by Rebecca F. Kenney
🌟🌟🌟
This is a gender-swaped modern retelling of the Phantom of the Opera.
It was creative to make Mel, our Phantom, a true magical creature, and the singing contest was also cool. Like don't get me wrong I did have fun reading this but it also felt pretty unpolished like most characters were teens on the contest and that kinda made me roll my eyes a bit, like unless it's the Voice Kids age ranges are quite ample on this kind of shows, also kinda clumsy the addition of the magical elements with the modern setting, Kiyo didn't make much of an impression with me even when Christine is my fave on the original book. Still if you are a Phan like me you might wanna check this one out.
11.- Anna K by Jenny Lee
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is a modern americanized ya retelling of Anna Karenina.
Not gonna lie this made me cry so much at the end. I really liked Anna and Vronski together so much, and I don't like the love at first sight trope, but here it felt so inevitable. Anna was so self contained until she met him and could truly explore being herself and they really loved each other so much. Also I liked the treatment of the side characters Kimmie and Dustin were well developed and I really enjoyed this one can't wait to get to the second book.
12.- Wonderland by Zoje Stage
🌟🌟🌟
It was ok, but I was actually a bit disappointed cuz I had such high expectations for it. Like for about half the book I was really into the atmospheric vibe the book pulls you into, but as we get the reveal it started to go down hill for me, and the ending left me feeling meh. But maybe it was just not my cup of tea.
13.-Home Before Dark by Riley Sager
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book is so well crafted!!! I love how it goes back and forth between past and present , first it feels as if history is repeating itself, then as both narratives unfold we start to question and discovering things and the twist at the end was chillin and masterful, I truly and wholeheartedly recommend it.
14.- The Girl with the louding voice by Abi Daré
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Adunni, a teenage girl, flees from her husband to work as a maid in Lagos, though everything she has ever wanted is to study.
This broke my heart, as it reflects how people coming from rural backgrounds get taken advantage of in the City, like similar things happen here in Mexico, but also it made me glad to see Adunni fight and keep her spirit so no one could ever silence her.
15.- The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Immanuel does her very best to fit in Bethel, follow the scriptures and the Prophets words, but nothing seems to be enough to erase her mother's sin especially when the Darkwood seems to pull her in. As a plague starts to ravage Bethel, Immanuel has to face her past to save her people.
So frickin' good !!!! This story is great, mainly about the explotation of woman and young girls by people in power (in this case a church), the atmosphere is always tense, Ezra and Immanuel 's relationship is very well developed and one can really see how loyal they are to each other. A great option for horror fans.

Smokey brand Movie Reviews: Under Pressure
I’m a huge fan of Samara Weaving. Chick has the range on her. She is, apparently, pretty accomplished in the film game, getting her first run in the states as Heather in Ash vs. The Evil Dead. While i did check out Ash, it was long after the show was canceled so my very first introduction to Samara was with Netflix’s The Babysitter. I loved this movie and she was excellent in it. It wasn’t the best but it was fun enough for me to recommend it to anyone listening. Towards the end of last year, i heard rumors of a sequel and then nothing for a long ass time. Today, however, that f*cker dropped and i just HAD to check it out. Will The Babysitter: Killer Queen hold up against it’s surprisingly entertaining predecessor? We ask the big questions here, on this blog.
The Good
It’s super dope seeing where these kids ended up after the first flick. I really enjoyed the characters the first time around so double-dipping into to this world was a real pleasure.
I’m not a huge fan of McG’s directing style but dude has his own flavor. You definitely know this is a McG flick, for sure. Sh*t is like watching a comic book in real life. It’s kind of chaotic and a little ADD, but for this story? It works perfectly.
I really like the dialogue in this flick. It feels Diablo Cody-esque but not all pretentious. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s organic but it’s palatable. McG has a knack for infusing his films with a decent amount of humor and it really shows in this script.
The kills in this thing were exquisite, much better than the first. The CG blood was a little much but i absolutely enjoyed the gore. I’m not usually a fan of the sloppy but, in a film like this, that’s the biggest draw.
My mans still has no shirt. Continuity!
The cast is still amazing. Bella Thorne, King Bach, Hana Mae Lee, Samara Weaving, and Robbie Amell are still as hilarious as ever but i really like the new additions. I was a little surprised where characters ended up and the inexplicable resurrection of others was a little much, but it’s all in service to a rather forced narrative so it’s cool.
Judah Lewis as Cole Johnson is as spry and hilarious as ever. Dude was the best thing about the first flick, he and Samara, but i adored this kid, specifically. He had some... Interesting character development but his bad-assery is still intact when the pressure is on. Always a pleasure seeing my guys get their shine.
Emily Alyn Lind as Melanie was also as awesome as ever. She made a pretty aggressive heel turn for this entry but chick pulled it off. She’s not as playful or adorably wicked as Bee, like, not even close. Melanie is a straight up psychopath in this and i was real surprised. It’s like she’s channeling Snakebite Andi and it totally works.
Jenna Ortega as Phoebe is an absolutely welcome edition to this cast. She’s amazing and cute and absolutely brutal. This chick is as capable as Cole and it really shows. If they make this a trifecta, i hope she comes back. Ma was the best thing about this movie, just like Cole was in the first.
The pacing of this movie is on straight up meth, man. It definitely has someplace it wants you to be and it’s running full steam ahead, not stops. This is also a thing in McG movies; Dude has next to no subtlety or nuance but, sometimes, that’s fine. For this movie? It’s perfect.
But that Apache dance break, tho!
The Bad
All of the heartfelt, emotional, scenes in this thing feel out of place. It’s crazy tonal whiplash when placed next to the over-the-top violence, spastic editing, and weird ass interludes that have nothing o do with anything.
I had to adjust the settings on my TV because McG’s penchant for over-saturated color grading is on full display. I don’t know if it was just me or whatever, but these daytime shots feel bleached the f*ck out.
This thing feels like one big ass music video. Like, I'm not mad, but it’s very obvious the soundtrack to this flick has been weaponized to distract. You barely get more than a few seconds of any one song and it kind of gives you lyrical whiplash.
I don’t really like where Cole ended up, especially after his actualization after the first. It feels... forced? Yeah, forced is good. I think Cole needed to be nerfed in order for this entire narrative to be a thing. I don’t agree with it, but i understand it.
There are several plot holes that just go unaddressed. It’s kind of a problem, especially at the end where certain events occur that directly contradict things that were
The Verdict
I loved this movie, man. I was already a massive fan of the first but this one is pretty fun, too. I said fun, not good. As a film, objectively, it’s all over the place. There are several choices made that just boggles the mind. McG feels like the store brand version of Edgar Wright and that is no more apparent than how he decided to present this narrative. I’m not mad at it, i rather enjoyed my time with it, but, i mean, Scott Pilgrim is a thing and it does what this movie tries to do, infinitely better. Still, for what it is, this film is fun watch. Great performances, incredible energy, dope music, hilarious dialogue, legit gore; It’s just a bloody grand old time!

[TRANSLATION] 200323 <W> Korea Lucky Spring Interview with IU
Tumblr media
Source: wkorea
Q1. We were able to see various sides of IU last year. Starting with the release of Netflix Original Series <Persona> in the first half of the year to tvN drama <Hotel Del Luna> in the second half of the year, and followed by the album <Love poem>, you had a pretty hectic schedule. How are you passing your time these days?
IU: I’m currently taking a break as I felt rewarded after dealing with a whirlwind of schedule without a break. I’ve been keeping my plans in check this year while making preparations for it calmly.
Q2. It was recently revealed that you will be starring alongside actor Park Seo Joon in <Dream>, the latest film by director Lee Byung Hun that tells about an impromptu national soccer team trying out for the Homeless World Cup and you’re a producer who will be making a documentary about them. Aside from that, not many details about the film were revealed.
IU: Maybe because this is my first debut on a commercial film, I had a lot of concerns. Thankfully, I’ve received lots of good scripts and offers along the way, whether it’s <My Mister>’s Jian-ie or <Hotel Del Luna>’s Man Wol, the roles ( I’ve portrayed) were mostly one of a kind and memorable. Among them, <Dream>’s Somin rather stands out to me as her character is very humanly without any special weapon. Somin is the kind of person I wish to have at least one around me. I’ve always wanted to try portraying this kind of character.
Q3. If we are to make assumptions about director Lee Byung Hun simply based on his movies, he seems to be a man of great wit and eloquence. What kind of conversation was exchanged when the two of you had a meeting?
IU: Well, director Lee is the type of person who is very shy around strangers just like me. We opened up about this to each other and talked about the things related to the movie briefly during our first meeting before parting ways. So there was no better meeting than this for someone like me who comes off as more unnatural and awkward the harder I try to get closer to someone hastily (laughs). Not just the director, but the other staff were all extremely shy as well. But what’s really cute was that when I first went to the meeting, they hung a huge picture of me and decorated it with purple balloons in the office. So it was hard to believe that the people who threw such an adorable event were beyond shy around strangers... they were totally my type (laughs).
Q4. How does it feel to watch IU on the big screen? It was pretty memorable that director Lee Kyungmi, Im Pil Sung, Jeon Go Woon and Kim Jong Gwan made the best of ‘IU’ through their own style and story for the notebook streamable Netflix series, <Persona>.
IU: I definitely want to work with these four directors again someday. I had a lot of fun being used as their main material. The series will be remembered as a special work of mine for a long time.
Q5. Having to experience various writers’ attention and insights focused on yourself at the same time is definitely a special case for an actress. There must have been four interpretations and utilization methods of ‘IU’, what side of you did they see or bring out of you?
IU: The most interesting thing was that all of the four directors looked at me with some projection of themselves. <Persona> is a collection of four short films in which an actress is expressed through four different perceptions. Due to the structure of the series, it can be seen as an actress-centered project, but I think it is a work that can rather showcase the individuality and color of each director. The process of understanding what the directors were trying to project through me was very interesting and fascinating. I think we definitely have something in common, and that it’s only possible because we could relate to each other a lot.
Q6. So was ‘IU’ observing the directors who were observing ‘IU’ too? When you first watched the completed version of <Persona>, was there any side of yours that you found unfamiliar?
IU: I was especially unfamiliar with myself during the scene where my character Jieun-ie threw away her racket and shouted “Fxxk You!” after continuously losing in the game and when she sat on the floor with her injured knees and cried while asking Doona not to marry her father in director Lee Kyung Mi’s <Love Set>. Maybe because I was exhausted from running around the tennis court all day in summer, so I kind of struggled with managing my body and face expressions. But I didn’t hate it at all. Also, when I watched the scene where I told my friend Hye-Bok that she’s cute in director Jeon Go Woon’s <Kiss Burn>, I thought to myself, “Oh, I’m quite dependable now huh?”.
Q7. Among the four episodes that were released in sequence, I found <Love Set> in which you had a tennis battle with Bae doona the most interesting. I liked how it began with a woman and a daughter confronting each other over a man and only to end with just great tension between women filling the air. Was there something IU saw in Bae Doona?
IU: I value natural processes in relationships. It’s actually not easy to be natural. Especially if I meet someone for work, we’ll have to skip all the trivial steps and go straight down to business, so there are times it (relationship) feels like a weak building in its early stages of construction. To get close quickly and approach someone comfortably are the virtues and abilities necessary when working but I’m so clumsy at that. But occasionally there is this kind of person who would think ‘it’s natural for anyone to be unnatural/ awkward at times like this’ and go all the way to embrace the other person’s stiffness too. Bae Doona sunbaenim is that kind of person.
Q8. Were you grateful that (Bae Doona) never rushed you and you could take your time?
IU: She’s so cool that I’ve fallen for her. Although it was just a short film, she’s a partner that I had to exchange many emotions and walk in step with. She never once rushed me and always waited for me. She didn’t even make it seem like she’s waiting for me, in case I took notice, she would feign ignorance and look far away coolly as she waits! Haha. There are many other reasons too, but from the very first time I meet someone, I can tell if the person is really cool.
Q9. How is the joy from completing your music and performing different from the joy from acting?
IU: I feel that the process I go through from working on a song from my studio to the recording room and the process of having multiple takes at the filming site are rather similar. Making decisions repeatedly to produce the best possible result, in the period of time provided, gives me strong willpower I guess? Of course, I often feel distressed by areas I am lacking in, but those are also the moments that I feel my heart beating the fastest and blood coursing through my veins. Concerts are really different though. There’s no time to make decisions. I just go with the flow. It’s not like I can discuss with the audience how I want that day’s concert to go. The audience takes the initiative in this. As for me, there’s nothing else I can do, but to present what I have prepared, without making any mistakes. I enjoy following my audience to the places that they take me to.
Q10. You’ve drawn an analogy and explanation between music and acting in a way I have never heard of before. I would like to take a peek at your diary or notepad with such thoughts...
IU: I haven’t written in my diary for the past four months or so. It seems I’m feeling slightly lethargic and bored recently. So I’m trying out new things and put a pause on writing in my diary, which I have been writing in daily without fail, since my trainee days when I was 15 years old. That’s a kind of deviation from the norm for me. Letting go one by one the rules I made for myself and kept like a habit. Anyway, I realised that my world hasn’t exactly collapsed (because of that).
Q11. Did you find out that the rules and methods others aren’t unaware of that only you are privy to, and seem to sustain your way of living, won’t cause your ‘house’ to crumble even if you remove one of those pillars?
IU: There are quite a number of things that I try hard to not forget. Writing in my diary was one of those things that I put effort in. Now I want to naturally forget things that slip my mind. I think it’ll be fine.
Q12. Be it from your notepad or diary, or what you say, there are bound to be unique phrases or expressions that you use often. I think the words you subconsciously tend to use reflect the values that are important to you. Do you have any of such phrases?
IU: Based on frequency, I think I use ‘amulaedo’ (somehow / by the looks of it) the most often... Does that make me someone who places importance on the result? (laughs) I use the words ‘interest’ and ‘charm/appeal’ a lot too. Come to think of it, what I’m most afraid of is none other than boredom. I’d rather be tired or sad instead. ‘Sense of responsibility’ is a phrase I use a lot too.
Q13. What do you do when you are feeling troubled? Is there any rule or pattern you use to overcome it?
IU: I do the dishes to confront what’s troubling me. Washing the dishes to make them squeaky clean suddenly becomes the most important thing and what was troubling me earlier becomes less of a threat. After washing the dishes, even though it’s not much, I feel a sense of accomplishment and my stress slightly disappears too.
Q14. What about when you’re feeling stressed from writing lyrics or working on something? Does just putting a pause on the lyric writing and then doing the dishes fix it (from a previous question about stress relief)?
IU: There is a method that lyricist Kim Eana told me about. She told me if the lyrics I’m writing start to feel like they don’t belong to me or if it starts to feel difficult, go look up the dictionary definition of that word. For example, among the many definitions of the word, ‘sa-rang (love)’, there are definitions like ‘the past tense for ‘seng-gak (an intention of the heart)’ (i.e. it is now gone)’ or ‘to passionately miss [something/someone]’. So by the nature of its definition, is ‘sa-rang (love)’ something that begins with the absence of something?’ These types of thoughts come to mind. This is something I found out through that approach: there isn’t an opposite word for ‘loneliness’. I guess it’s because there isn’t anything that can counter/defeat loneliness. I can say that from now on, one of the themes [in my work] I’ll be keeping is “finding the opposite of loneliness”.
Q15. Producing for your own music- what is that process like and what does it mean to you?
IU: It carries the meaning of ‘I am the master of IU’? Haha, of course it’s the most enjoyable, the most difficult, the most meaningful, and the most economical thing I do.
Q16. Is there a topic you’ve been really into lately?
IU: ‘Big Size’. Ever since I was younger, to me easy-listening music; and, whether for books or for movies, I had always preferred them to be about small and trivial things rather than something with a big narrative. But these days, I’m way more interested in bigger topics. I want to make “big music”. And because of that, I’m thinking about a singing style that’s deeper and with lower sounds. Even if it’s risky, I want to make my world that was always safe and small, a bit bigger.
Q17. When IU did remakes of Kim Changwan (member of the band, Saneulim) and Jo Dukbae’s songs and did a duet with Choi Baekho, you were able to prove your ability to interpret songs really well. Have you ever thought about trying out a genre or style that people would never imagine you doing? Like trying trot or something.
IU: I’m not the type to only specialize in and stick with one genre. Even with my recent songs, they’re each different in their own ways. From when I first started liking music when I was younger until now, I’ve never really thought much about the concept of music genres. Trot is cool. Recently I’ve been watching <Mister Trot (tv show)> and after reading the lyrics of trot songs I was previously familiar with, I realized that ‘wow I didn’t know the lyrics were this deep’, ‘wow so trot is music that has you singing in that way and with that type of facial expression despite the song carrying this much weight in its lyrics’. Once my inner energy gets stronger, I definitely want to try trot. With hip hop, the breadth of topics you can address and the greater amount of words you can use in a song has always been appealing to me.
Q18. After it was known that IU was going to be this month’s cover model for <W Magazine>, a well known broadcasting PD told me there is something I must ask you: when did you yourself first start getting an inkling that you are an extraordinary person? It’s a lie if you answer with ‘I don’t think I’m an extraordinary person’, so they told me to ask you more persistently.
IU: Hahaaa, if I were to uninhibitedly answer with honesty, I’m not exactly sure if this was the first time, but it might be that time when I was 6 or 7 years old and I won the big prize in a speech contest. It’s not like that now but when I was younger, whenever people had their eyes on me when i was in front of people, I got excited. I even loved the nervousness.
Q19. What comes to mind when you think about ‘teenage years and parents’?
IU: If I were to open it up, my teenage years are the color grey. I think ‘difficult’ is the right word for it. If I think about my parents, I would smile because I think they are such a cute and incompatible pair. Even though I do get a heavy feeling thinking about my mom, just thinking about my dad makes me laugh. If my dad and I were to both fall in water, my dad would try to swim out first. I’m grateful that when I think about him, I laugh rather than feel sentimental. If we both fell into water, it’s okay if he doesn’t save me so I hope he can continue to live life the way he does. He’s like the biggest present in my life.
Q20. If present IU were to give one advice to that era’s teenage IU, what would you say?
IU: She’s more unnie than me so I don’t dare give any advice to her. It’s only thanks to her that I live this good life I have now. If I were to say anything, I’d just ask her how she’d like me to live my life from here on out.
Q21. Did Lee Jieun (IU real name) know that IU was gonna grow into such a respectable artist? Was IU destined to become the IU of today?
IU: I think the questions I’ve been asked today have been more difficult than any I’ve received before. They’re hard but interesting and because I want to answer honestly, it’s making me think deeply. Hmm..I also didn’t know that I was going to be in this [career] for this long. I think my reality right now is way more amazing than anything I had ever wished for or wanted when I was younger. I realized that making music for people was something that’s a lot harder and amazing than I thought. And if I were to be more honest? Of course, for someone like me to become someone like IU is an unbelievable and great accomplishment. It’s something I’m extremely proud of and grateful for. Even so, I still don’t feel completely satisfied by my body of work so far. To answer the question of whether it was destiny, I would say ‘it’s only half’ because even though I have grown more than I had ever dreamed of, I think I have yet to become such a praiseworthy artist. However, who I am today is the result of a combination of my personality and unexplainable luck and since it’s hard for people to manipulate their personality or luck, I guess you can call it destiny, haha.
Q22. What kind of person are you jealous of?
IU: I’m jealous of people that are way more diligent and hardworking than I am. People who have no complaints despite living that life make me feel helpless. It makes me feel inferior and that I have accomplished nothing. And also people in the genius category. I’m jealous of people who are able to do things easily while enjoying it while I have to exert all the force in the world just to barely make it. And because of that, I’m jealous of people who live with completely different worries from me.
Q23. What is one of IU’s weaknesses?
IU: To be honest, I am quite lazy. I’m also timid. I’m not the type to enjoy things like challenges and if it’s not something I feel a sense of stability from, it’s hard for me to assimilate to or enjoy it. So that’s why I really respect people who are able to enjoy challenges and I’m jealous of them.
Q24. To the IU that you think is lazy, what do you think is the closest thing to happiness?
IU: Being able to feel relaxed as I eat a meal deliciously and then having a big bar of chocolate afterwards for dessert.
Q25. What comes to mind when you look in the mirror?
IU: I used to deny it but I’ve started to acknowledge it recently “Wow I look exactly like my younger brother”.
Q26. In your lyrics, you’ve once said “I want to become a ‘moist’ woman (Twenty-three lyrics)”. I’ve realized as I get older that it’s important to become a ‘moist’ person and that I should age with moisture (i.e. have substance?) . What is something that IU thinks makes someone not ‘dry’ but ‘moist’?
IU: Things that make your heart beat like crazy. For example, love or ambitions that sometimes come popping up in your life? Hahaha! But I guess those things have the effect of a steam iron and can humidify your life automatically.
Q27. Is there something that, even for someone like you, at the core of, still hasn’t changed despite all the big and small changes?
IU: If I were to say a positive thing, it’s my sense of responsibility. My sense of responsibility is my number one token of merit that has dragged the lazy me by the collar to reach this point where I am now.

Netflix takes us “Over the Moon”
I was going to save this for my mini reviews, but any stellar movie that comes out in this pandemic deserves a whole review.
Over the Moon is an animated fantasy about a girl named Fei Fei (voiced by Cathy Ang) who loves the myth of the goddess Chang’e, who waits faithfully on the moon for her departed lover. The stories are her way of hanging on to her mother, who died four years ago. So when her father (John Cho) gets engaged to another woman, she doesn’t take it well. She builds a rocket to the moon to moon, thinking that proving Chang’e is real will stop the marriage. Unfortunately, her mischievous stepbrother-to-be Chin (Robert G. Chiu) hijacks the ride, and the two of them wind up stranded in the moon kingdom of Lunaria.
There, they meet the real Chang’e (Phillipa Soo), who wants to bring back her dead lover no matter what the cost. With the help of a pangolin named Gobi (Ken Jeong), Fei Fei realizes that she needs to deal with her own grief in order to help Chang’e and her kingdom.
Over the Moon is not a Disney/Pixar movie, but it’s directed by Disney Renaissance legend Glen Keane. And it’s obvious that he knows what he’s doing, because it has all the stuff we love about musical cartoons. It has a fantastic voice cast, giving us songs from Broadway stars Phillipa Soo and Ruthie Ann Miles. Even Ken Jeong gets a song, and in a delightful surprise, reveals that he actually has a fantastic singing voice. No really.
Like Disney/Pixar’s Onward, the story deals with theme of grief and loss -- something we’re all sadly used to these days. It handles the subject with skillful depth, wrapped in the cotton candy-colored visual scenery. And yes, it’s wonderful to have another cartoon with Asian representation.
So while we’re waiting for Soul to come out on Disney+, definitely check out Over the Moon. It’s cute, fun, and packs an emotional punch. And it had better get a Best Animated Feature nomination at the Oscars.

An Almost First Date
This is a sequel to LIJAWITP, just a small little something I wanted to do because I haven’t written in a while and I thought it would be cute in a “I like to make my muses suffer” kind of way.
Also, I have a ko-fi. If you like my writing, please consider sending a bit of financial support my way.
Pairing(s): Sidney Crosby/Evgeni Malkin
Warning(s): Geno gets food poisoning in this, descriptions of throwing up past the break
Their first date is almost tragically bad. Geno imagines he’s in a movie as it happens, because in what other universe except one taking place on film would so many almost comically bad things in confluence.
It takes them nearly a month to make it happen. Sidney has playoffs, and spring is--for some reason--the time of year when people start getting dogs en mass so they’re both stupid busy.
They talk on the phone when they can. They text back and forth throughout the day, and have a few actual phone conversations, but they can never seem to get their schedules to match up for any meaningful time together in person.
The day of the date starts poorly. Geno’s phone charger had apparently died in the night and had taken his phone’s battery charge with it, so his alarm hadn’t gone off. He was two hours late two work, because he’d had to stop at an electronics store to get a replacement charger.
He’d apologized profusely to Angela, but she’d said it was no big deal. She’d looked a little wild-eyed from dealing with pretentious and asshole customers though, so Geno had given her a two hour lunch.
Geno doesn’t know how it happened, but he gets food poisoning at lunch. It’s a place he goes to quite often, and he’s never had any problems with them before, but about a half hour after he eats his lunch it’s making a disgusting return in the employee bathroom.
Angela tries to convince him to go home early, but he refuses to do that to her. She has her own schedule and her own life outside of work, and he refuses to let her take on extra hours when she’s already had a hectic day thanks to him. He sends her home on time, and makes it through most of the last few hours feeling gross and kinda sweaty and nauseous enough that moving too fast makes him gag.
He closes up a whole hour early after he gives all the animals their food and ensures their environments are clean and any bathroom breaks have been taken care of.
He takes some pepto and takes a nap when he gets home, because he still feels tragically awful. He feels better enough when his alarm goes off that he feels perfectly fine not informing Sidney of his early mishap and continuing on a date he’s pretty desperate to actually have happen.
His good slacks don’t fit anymore, is the problem. He hasn’t really gained weight, but he has lost some muscle mass since he doesn’t really work out a lot anymore, and the pants hang off him pathetically. Two of his remaining pairs of slacks smell slightly musty from being left to hang in his closet for who knows how long, and somehow his third pair has a large, dark stain around the crotch.
He goes with the good slacks, and hopes he doesn’t look like a child playing dress up in his dad’s clothes.
And when he goes for a button up, he realizes that he’s got two clean ones, having meant to do laundry for the past week and never quite getting to it. His choices are an off-white one with slightly grey pit stains or a pea-green one that he’s sure will make his slightly sick looking complexion even more washed out.
He settles for a baby blue polo and hopes Sidney doesn’t mind that he’s not dressed super formal.
He thanks his lucky stars that his dress shoes are still in good condition and still fit him.
Geno puts on his fanciest watch, and swears when he looks at it. Is it really that late? He checks his phone and swears again, because it is that late. Even with his usual speeding habit, there’s a good chance he’s going to be late.
He sends a text to Sidney letting him know, then jumps in his car. And gets pulled over for doing ten over. He tries to sweet talk his way out of a ticket, or at least get the man to write faster than his mother types, but by the time he gets to the restaurant he’s a full half hour late.
He has five glorious minutes of peace and quiet. The waitress kindly leads him to a semi-isolated table in the back. Sidney looks bored and a little put out in the moment before he lifts his eyes and sees Geno approaching, and then his face lights up and Geno can forgive the frankly awful beard when it surrounds a smile that beautiful and sweet.
He gives Geno an appreciative up and down look, and Geno preens.
Sidney stands as he approaches and pulls him into a hug, which Geno returns happily. He just wants to stand there in the arms of this wonderful man and never leave, but they’re in public and the waitress is still standing close by--presumably to get Geno’s drink order--so the hug is just shy of perfunctory and then they’re both sitting.
Geno gets water, and then they’re left alone. Geno finds what he wants, and when he looks up Sidney is watching him with a soft smile on his face. Geno reaches a hesitant hand across the table to him and Sidney takes it and laces their fingers. It makes Geno’s chest feel fit to burst with happiness.
And then someone passes the table with a tray of plates full of steaming food. The smell of food wafts over to their table and Geno can feel himself go green as he breaks out in a light sweat.
“Be right back,” Geno says, and nearly jumps to his feet. He walks as fast as he can without seeming frantic to the nearest bathroom, then locks himself in the first open stall to dry heave until he pukes bile.
At this point he can tell that he’s sweated through his shirt and his hair is soaked. He’s sure the only color in his face right now is grey.
He must be in the bathroom for longer than he thinks because he hears someone enter the bathroom and then a tentative, “Geno?”
Geno groans, partly because he feels like shit, and partly because he can’t believe he’s ruined their first and long awaited date because he ate some bad chicken. He kind of wants to curl into a ball and die.
“Yeah, Sid,” Geno asks from his stall, and he knows he sounds rough. He hears Sidney walk over to his stall, and reaches behind him to undo the latch on the door.
“Oh, buddy,” Sidney says, and then he feels a hand on his back, rubbing soothing circles, “Why didn’t you tell me you were feeling bad?”
“Wanted...” Geno gives a shallow burp-gag, and spits more bile into the toilet, “was so excited for date with you. Knew you were excited too. Didn’t want to disappoint you.”
Sidney is silent for a moment, still rubbing gently at his back.
“How about,” he said slowly, “you head home--“ Geno groaned in protest. “Hold on, G, let me finish.
“You head home, and get into something comfortable, and I’ll meet you there.”
“No fun when I’m sick,” Geno said sadly.
“Look, whether we go to some big fancy restaurant, or go to a movie, or we stay in and watch Netflix and cuddle on the couch, I just want to spend time with you.”
“Me too.”
Geno stands with help and washes his face with a damp paper towel. Sidney guides him to the front, and apologizes profusely to the waitstaff. And then Geno is deposited into his car with the promise that Sidney will be over soon.
Geno drives carefully home, afraid that if he doesn’t he’ll throw up in his car. He leaves a trail of clothes to his bedroom, then puts on his most comfortable sweats and a t-shirt. He grabs a heat patch from the box in his bathroom because all that heaving has left his back twinging, and then drags his duvet from his bed to his couch.
Sidney shows up twenty minutes later with takeout chicken noodle soup, in beautifully tailored jeans and a soft looking cardigan. Once they’ve both eaten, Sidney lays lengthwise on the couch and pulls Geno until he’s laying mostly on him, practically swaddled in his blanket. Sidney sets an alarm on his phone for the morning, presses play on some boring documentary sure to put Geno to sleep, and then runs his fingers through Geno’s hair.
“Sorry I ruin our date,” Geno says as he begins to drift off.
“This is still good,” Sidney assures him. Geno falls asleep with a small smile on his face.
