you have no idea how much the idea of a Vampire Cryptid Bruce Wayne that at night, for added irony, dresses up like a giant bat with a heart of gold means to me.
like?? Imagine a Bruce Wayne that dresses like he just stepped out of the 17th century like it is normal and “something that everyone does, Alfred, honestly”, but just because he Has Lived That Long and can’t be bothered to buy other clothes for the life of him because like “have you seen what the kids consider fashion today, Alfred?? No way in hell I’ll get caught wearing ripped pants.”
a dude that could and will get burned to a crisp at the simple thought of sunlight but goes out anyway because “fuck you sunlight, I have work to do” and then work is just taking Dick to school or something like that.
the real life cryptid of Gotham that will hiss at you for looking at his family slightly wrong like some kind of overgrown territorial cat and talks like is a character of some damn fancy victorian fanfiction.
And then you pair him (fancy, always toeing the line between impeccable and slightly feral, unhinged to the bone and super darkly sarcastic) you pair him mr. Clark Kent, sir, Kryptonian wittle lovely plant that needs sunlight to live and that just smiles at people?? that he doesn’t know?? on the streets?? because “it’s nice, Bruce, really, I thought Alfred had raised you better than that.” and dresses like a damn hick.
and he loves it.

Coddling Colonizer Guilt
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Performative diversity is when MAWS features a Native American variant of Lois Lane in the multiverse episode only to end the season on a Thanksgiving episode."
...is something I like to joke with my friends as a shorthand for referencing MAWS' squeamish approach to politics while still trying to reap the clout of "diverse representation". I want to get my thoughts out there and perhaps start a discussion over why this feels off.
Some disclaimers: Firstly, I'm not Native American. Understand this is an observation I'm making from an outsider perspective with no personal authority. I'm just a disappointed Asian Lois Lane fan. Secondly, I know the MAWS crew/creators had no malicious intent in any of these (what I consider) poor writing decisions. I'm simply here to challenge and analyze these narrative and visual choices.
MAWS takes a fairly controversial take on Superman mythos so far. Unlike Superman's historic roots as an allegory for Jewish immigrants with Clark coming from a Kryptonian socialist utopia (leading the imperfect people of Earth to a better tomorrow), MAWS chooses instead to reimagine Superman as a descendant from a planet of "alien invaders". If the leaked(?) concept art (warning potential spoilers for s2) is to be believed, Clark is the direct descendent of the leaders of the "Kryptonian Empire". Supposedly gone are the parents of Superman being scientists that warn of the destruction of their home planet- instead we have the "proud, loving, brilliant" "leaders of the Kryptonian Empire".
Tumblr media
While we don't know if this is the direction the show is going in, there are already cryptic hints of it being planted and thematic elements set up that point to it being a possibility. Clark had spent a majority of the season wondering what/who he is (being incapable of talking to Jor-El's hologram because of a language barrier) only to find out his supposed origins in episode 9. He's devastated learning that he's an alien invader and, once he regroups with his friends, angsts about believing he's a weapon sent from Krypton to invade Earth. Asian-Lois Lane and Black-Jimmy Olsen assure White-passing-alien-man Clark Kent that he's different and not like other colonizers. Clark ultimately saves the day, proving he's an exception. It's curious then that the season ends on Thanksgiving.
Tumblr media
As I've mentioned before, MAWS is exhaustively squeamish with getting political. Whatever happens in the show that resembles "themes" is quickly contradicted with very little consistent internal logic. One minute Superman is supposedly a threat that "wipes out good American jobs", should "go back to where he came from" and Lois makes a hope speech about how we shouldn't treat people who "are different" and "don't look like us" (??) with cruelty (so Clark's an immigrant going through xenophobia?) and the next he's a redeemed colonizer (a more prominent thematic arc). One minute Clark is "different" and scared of being othered- likened to a gay couple and allegorically closeted, and the next his friends call him out for being a lying liar for not disclosing his marginalized identity within a week (the narrative frames Lois and Jimmy as being in the right). This show's writing is non-committal with what it wants to say, and largely goes on vibes. That is to say I don't think the writers intended for the themes of colonizer guilt to accidentally tie into Thanksgiving as a set piece for their final episode.
Tumblr media
I'm sure the reason the writers chose Thanksgiving as their final episode is because it's "relateable". Half the episode is dedicated to slice of life family reunion shenanigans and the dang turkey still not being cooked through. But in choosing Thanksgiving, the writers told on themselves here with their biases. The existence of Thanksgiving implies the existence of genocide (of Native American people) by colonists in the MAWS universe. And yet Black Jimmy Olsen doesn't know what racism is (Mallah and the Brain give him a judgmental stare as Jimmy admits he can't relate to being violently marginalized) and Asian American Lois Lane doesn't understand immigration and xenophobia (constantly being entitled to Clark's immigrant identity, being incapable of comprehending why he would keep it a secret, because secrets are lies). The MAWS crew wanted a "relateable" set piece but in doing so ended up reinforcing the historical revisionism the holiday entails. A foreign colonizer sharing a meal with his friends of color on Earth, whose culture, history, and identity are all white washed.
Tumblr media
I would like to challenge this idea that Thanksgiving is somehow the "relateable" choice. Why pick this holiday? Why not celebrate Thanksgiving as a National Day of Mourning (as some Native Americans do)? Why not pick any Jewish holiday as a nod to Superman's creators (ignoring this version's colonizer interpretation for a second)? Why not pick Lunar New Year, a holiday celebrated by many people including Koreans (Seollal in South Korea)? It could've been another fun opportunity to showcase Lois' heritage, and create a fusion of cultures from Jimmy and Clark's families. At its most non-political and secular, why couldn't they pick any weekend? This is what happens when a show doesn't consider its world building and setting in a holistic way. MAWS will nod to xenophobic rhetoric, portray allegorical queer marginalization, and make the vaguest nods to systemic bigotry (Prof Ivo displaced a whole neighborhood! Yet we never hear from those figurative displaced people). But it does nothing to discuss any of that on a deeper level. Its characters of color don't know what racism is and Thanksgiving is just a fun family reunion, guys.
Tumblr media
All this and they had the audacity to sneak in a Native American Lois Lane in the multiverse episode?? Why is she, out of all the Lois Lanes in this screencap, the only one in full traditional wear? Why isn't she in a smart casual business fit like Black Lois and STAS white Lois? Would she not have been recognizably Native American to the non-Native audience otherwise? Isn't this tokenizing? Do you think she has a xenophobic dad in the military like Korean American Lois does?
But that fits MAWS' approach to diversity, doesn't it? Surface level cultural nods, maybe make Lois wear a hanbok one time, and let the audience eat it up. Never mind that both Korean American Lois and Native American Lois have been stripped of their culture and history in every other aspect.
I use the word "relateable" a lot here, but I think the important question to ask is "relateable for who?". 'Immigrant' is too charged a word, so MAWS universalizes Clark's marginalization to "being different". Superman isn't even an immigrant in this version, that was all a smokescreen for the twist that he's actually a descendent of colonizers! Being wracked with colonizer guilt is way more relateable to the white audience than being an immigrant, surely. Thanksgiving is more relateable than celebrating any culturally specific holiday our "diverse reimagining" could have represented. Characters of color being functionally white (in a way that doesn't threaten middle America) is way more relateable. MAWS is a show that doesn't want to delve into Native American history. It would rather put a Native American Lois hologram on a pedestal and call it a day.

Top 5 Jon Kent Headcanons
@paladin-of-nerd-fandom65
1. Has a big phobia about peacock birds. It used to be severe for him when he was really little and would used to see them walking around the Zoo, because he would start screaming and crying while trying to run away, forcing both Clark and Lois to have to keep a good hold on him in their arms as a way to stop him until they were quickly away from the bird. Now in his current tween age, he can handle it at least a bit more better than before, but still panics internally around them and has to have a good grip on his parents hands until they finally walk away to another section
2. He loves Sunflowers a lot. Chris, who usually loves tending to the garden more than others during chore work, due to having a green thumb for it, knows this fact about his brother very well, so he's the one who thoughtfully makes sure to plant them all the time while also working on the other ones, just so that Jon can always enjoy seeing and having them around the house once they're finally grown. Once Jon found out about this, he stayed always appreciating it so much. He also picks out the sunflowers from the garden sometimes to keep them in a handmade vase from school in his room
3. He's very ticklish on his neck
4. He's very good at writing stories and many other things, thanks to his parents being great professionals in this kind of work and teaching him lots of useful things about it very well, but unlike both of them, Jon actually hates writing and gets stressed out and upset whenever he has to do homework that requires so much of it. Because of this, he also doesn't want to become a reporter or an employed writer at the Daily Planet at all either. His true passion is science and when he becomes an adult one day, he happily succeeds in getting a very great career in that field as a well educated scientist after graduating Metropolis University
5. He goes through a very strange stage of puberty at 15 years old, due to being half Kryptonian. His ears would literally turn blue, forcing him to have to wear headphones over them when in public or a beanie while at school, he would at worst times get itches on his soles, underarms, and stomach, which usually created very awkward moments for him whenever he had to desperately scratch them in front of others who weren't his family and friends, he would get purple circles all over both arms that gad to be hidden by hoodies and long sleeve shirts, and his neck would also grow pink hairs that would shed off, grow, shed off, grow, and repeat everytime, making him have to wear one of Lois' scarfs to cover it up.
The only thing he would get that was similar to the human experience of puberty were zits on obvious parts of his face, except they were a bit more bigger than normal ones, which would result in him receiving annoying mean comments from bullies at school. He got so fed up with it one day, that he decided to finally pop them, but then Kara had to stop him, since she knew from experience that a Kryptonian zit is the type to ruin a whole room with all the large puss it has stored inside of it. She later made him a special meal that came from an old traditional Kryptonian recipe that she knows very well, promising him that it would help to calm all the symptoms down
They both enjoyed it and shared it with the rest of the family too. During that, everyone shared their own embarrassing times during Kryptonian puberty (even Lois as well, despite being human) with Jon, which helped to make him feel so much more better about his entire situation that day. And later, his symptoms began to calm down just like Kara said they would, which also made his day even more to see happening
After that, Kara shared the recipe with Jon for that special Kryptonian meal, so that he can continued eating it to keep making things easier for himself during all of this and once five months went by, everything finally went away and he was able to back to being his normal, happy self again
Thanks for the ask, buddy!!

Worst day (2)
Characters: Clark Kent (platonic) x male reader, Ivan (OC) x male reader
Universe: Somewhere in DC
Warnings: None
Authors note: Someone asks, and I deliver. Sorry that it took so long. I had no idea what to write. Hopefully, this one works.
Living in Metropolis, instead of Gotham, did wonder for you. And having a man like Clark being your role model was even better. It was refreshing. His views often clashed with what you had learned, because of the wealth your family had. You even visited his parents, who adored you to no end. Your manners were way better than Clarks could ever be, but they saw you like a little brother, who could learn from the errors Clark had made.
And it quickly evolved into exactly that. Clark became the brother you always wanted. Dick and Jason, both older than you, were good guys, but they never saw you as a brother. Being awful to you all your life. Clark was the exact opposite. Always was there for you, going to school conferences where he was most of the time the highlight, because of his good looks, which actually had made you popular.
You even got your new boyfriend only through him. Walking down a street with him, just doing bonding things, shopping, coffee, and had plans to go bowling in the evening, as Clark had heard a cry for help. Already knowing his puppy look, you told him to go. But secretly had an orientation device planted in his suite, so you could follow him.
A group of presumable men robbed a bank. Nothing out of the ordinary actually, but highly risky. You watched from afar, at least you thought so. But as Clark got in and cleaned the bank of robbers, you got taken by one.
„A pretty boy like you shouldn’t be here,“ you heard the voice of a young man, whispering in your ear. It immediately, lets the hairs on your neck leap up. Knowing that Clark had all his hands full, you tried to wiggle free, even trying to convince the guy to just let you go. But as you felt the weapon in your back, something took over.
Your elbow landed on the underside of his chin, while your left arm, pulled him away from you so that as the shot was fired it was redirected into a wall, instead of your back. And a moment later, he was face-first onto the floor. Unconscious, bleeding profusely. Shocked by the gunshot, Clark flew directly to you.
It was not even needed to look him into his eyes, to know that he deeply disapproved of you being there. He wanted to take you away, because of the cops. But even though the guy tried to take you, hostage, you couldn't just leave him there.
As Clark used his X-Ray eyes, he saw that you did way more than should’ve been possible with the short interaction you had with this guy.
He even if he was reluctant took both of you with him. Brings you to a hidden facility, your father had put under the city, as a place, where Clark could get and heal others similar to him from the League.
Now it was used to heal a thug. He immediately got rushed into an operation, as you three got there. While Clark and a scientist, are there to help new recruits, with superpowers, identify them.
Just for her, to find a gruesome truth. Bruce was not your only father. Kryptonian blood ran through your veins, while your cells are a combination of the two. To say you freaked out was an understatement. But for Clark, everything made sense out of a sudden. On the other hand, he felt disgusted with you or more what someone had done to you before you were even born.
That your powers just now came out, was a whole other problem. Which only could be solved by the A. I of his ship, but you were way too freaked out at this point, to go on your own accord with him.
So he did the only thing, that was possible, calling the League.
It took about an hour, before everyone was there, including Bruce and your brothers. With which you did not want any contact. Fearing you would kill them instantly.
As Clark talked to Bruce, he got to know, who your mother was. One of the first scientists, he had hired to help him with some of the more delicate parts of his nightly duty. After an especially hard night, it became too much for both of them and they slept together. At the time, she was examining Clark's blood and skin cells.
To now know, why she had died at birth. Most likely, because of what you had done accidentally to her at your birth, he was happy she died.
But also hated himself, for never really connecting with you. He had seen a future with her, especially because she knew about his secret identity and that you took her from him, he just couldn't handle it.
Still, he was sure, that all the stress and heartbreaks you had to endure, made your body activate the other side of you - Slowly taking over.
He wanted so desperately to speak to you. But Clark made it clear, that this would not happen, not now maybe never again. He blew his try and now he was there for their child. Which still sounded weird and wrong for both men.
At one point, Diana came to you, trying to talk, thankfully she wasn’t a human, if she would've been, she certainly would be dead now. You had ripped an entire machine out of the ground and threw it at her. Out of frustration, anger, and fear of yourself.
You cried for hours that day, not stopping as you sat at the thug's side after he came out of the operation. Waiting for your chance to apologize to him.
It took hours before he even moved just a centimeter. Soon sleep got the better of you and at the side of this unknown guy, you fell into a dream of chaos. A world on the brink of destruction and two little save capsules getting away from it.
Just as you could see them flying past you, a feeling of dread filled you. Something hiding beyond the darkness of the universe, no star could shine through. Coming out of the burst-open planet, the capsules came. A darkness so thick, that it was impossible to make anything out.
Before it could reach you, taking your body into his mass, you got pulled back, just in time. With a loud gasp, you jumped away from the bed, where you had laid your head upon. The guy shocked, but still too tired to really react to your outburst, looked at you confused.
„Is everything okay?“, he asked carefully, to not make any sudden movements, he already knew how this would end for him. You were only able to scoff at his question. Slowly coming to your senses again. Later you needed to talk to Clark desperately. Not knowing what was happening with you, was one thing, but whatever this dream, you were sure was real. But it could wait.
„Shouldn’t I ask you this question? I got you pretty bad. How are you feeling?“, you asked the poor guy. Many fractures, inner bleedings, and some ripped organs. But with newer technology build out of blueprints Clark had on his shuttle as he came down, the doctors were able to save his life.
Again he laid his head back onto the pillows, looking at you out of half-open eyes. „Better, thank you. That was quite a ride. What are you? A normal person, should not be able to destroy me this bad, especially not a cute twink like you.“
„I don't know if it was a compliment or an insult. If it was the latter, I wait until you are all healed up and have another session of getting my aggression out.“ A devilish smile graced your lips, as you said your threat out loud. The small joking undertone is easily misinterpreted as threatening.
You could see him swallow his Adam's apple jumping up and down nervously. „I’m only joking. But why did you think taking anyone hostage would save you?“
It did not seem like the guy wanted to answer your question, he even turned his head away from you, so he could look at the wall.
Understanding, that he did not want to talk about it, you made your way to leave. Just for him, directly before opening the door and getting out of his room, to speak up. „It was my first heist. I got cold feet. My brother send me out to look out for the police. We did not even think about superman or someone else with powers, coming there,“ he told you truthfully. You were able to feel his sincerity deep in his words. „I just wanted to prove myself to my brother.“
A sob broke the upcoming silence between you two. It could’ve been because of the anesthesia wearing off, but you had another feeling. To see a tough guy like him, cry in solitude, made your heartache. Even though you did not believe, that it was the best move to console him, you did it anyway. Staying at his side the entire night and even the next day while he slept.
After that most of his wounds were already healed up again. Thanks to the technology that saved his life. Before he left, Bruce had told him, he should stay away from the people he did the heist with. But on the same evening, you saw that he didn’t follow your father's advice.
Found him in an alleyway badly beaten up, almost not recognizable. It was an accident. You needed fresh air after your father and Clark told you about their findings. That your mother with the help of an unknown person, experimented on you as you grew in her body.
You had just followed the flow, which brought you directly to him. With the utmost ease, you lift him up and carried him back to your shared apartment. Clark now your second father, waited on you anxiously.
Panicked, he ran to you, just to see the guy he had saved again, on the brink of death. A slight breeze could end it this time. „Training is out, as it looks like, he needs to be saved again.“
This time he did not even hesitate. Instantly took both of you and brought you two back to the facility, only for him to fly away again. This time you almost lost your mind, waiting for him to come out of the operation. For a while, you even thought that they would declare him dead. But to your and his luck, he came out alive. Later in the evening, Clark showed pictures he shot when he was at work, to the guy, at whose side you sat. He identified his attacker with ease, just for him to fall asleep again. The next morning, while you two talked, Superman was on the news for arresting all members of a prominent gang, of which you learned later, that the brother the guy spoke from was the second in command.
You did not let him go back home after that, getting him an apartment in the building, Clark and you lived. He came over every day talking, playing games, and whatnot. Even helping you learn, which you didn't need, he was not only enthusiastic but also a little genius. Which his tough guy look, would've never suggested.
Since then, you always call him a `Nerd´ in private, just to mess with him. And it never fails to embarrass him or bring a blush to his cheeks. Thankfully, he never lost his bad boy charm, his dark clothing style with his black leather jacket, and his affinity for tattoos. As long as nothing gets on his face, you had no problem with it. He once came back with a fake one on his forehead, just to mess with you.
You almost dragged him to a doctor to get it removed. Clark, despite his high Morales, accepted Ivan, as one of you. But always making sure he is not involved in any illegal business anymore. He even trained with you. Helping you get the control Clark had years to practice. Once though he landed on a wall, after a shitty day at school. It was the first time, he became intimate and asked for a kiss to make it better. You gave him another punch to knock him out.
For a while, he teased you to no end, until he broke himself, after seeing you getting closer to a guy at your school, from whom he wanted to pick up. He pushed the poor guy away and grabbed you by the hand. Pulling you with him. He rambled angrily under his breath, of your audacity to get into someone else’s pants, when you had him. Which was the moment, you finally realized that he fell in love with you.
On the way of him pulling you with him, a good way back to your home, you stopped him. „Ivan, do you love me?“, you asked him sincerely.
He became a blushing mess, trying to find a way out. Until he realized that he in fact was in love with you. And also realized, that he had tried to push these feelings away because you weren’t off age yet and he was already twenty-one. After telling you this, you could only chuckle. In the middle of the sidewalk, the two of you stand in front of each other. Just as a light drizzle began to fall down, you grabbed his collar and pulled him slightly down to you, connecting your lips with his. For a moment it felt like your world expanded, exploded, and expanded again. Your head was dizzy and your skin, where he touched you began to burn.
To say that you two came home completely soaked, was not something that needed to be mentioned. Especially, because Clark saw it and questioned it. He saw directly through your lies, but let it go for the moment.
Save to say, that living in Metropolis under your second father or an older brother, was way better, than the family you grew up with, could ever give you.
If there wasn’t the darkness building up. The one in your dreams, that comes more often than ever before. And still, nobody besides you knew about it. This could only get wrong.

A reference sheet for a superbat fankid. He is a light-skinned baby with black hair and blue eyes in a light blue footie onesie. He is sitting and smiling. Next to the drawing is text that reads “Calvin Kent-Wayne. Baby boy. Baby. Absolutely doted on by his fathers, older siblings, and other family members. Gets powers, but they’re barely there (e.g. “super hearing” that passes as Autistic sound sensitivity). Kind of a rascal when he get a little older (like some other Calvin).”
[End ID]
.
My excuse begins thusly: If Kryptonian biology includes photosynthesis, it very well can also include other plant features, like being monoecious. This isn’t just an ass-pull so I could make a fankid btw, the fact both Jon AND Connor exist justifies this idea because of how a “clone” with 50% of your DNA is a just a test-tube baby. If you know about biology stuff, the fact that Clark’s DNA made a test-tube baby with Luthor’s AND a natural child with Lois, that’s pretty good evidence that Kryptonians are monoecious, like many plants are.
.
My excuse ends thusly: I DO WHAT I WANT! XD
.
Calvin was. A surprise. After all, between the two of them, Clark and Bruce already have a lot of kids. But still, a welcome addition to the Kent-Wayne family.
.
Calvin’s Kryptonian name is Mar-El (thank you, Gopher!). Because both of his dads have moms named Martha, it’s a way to honor the two families coming together. Also, the name Calvin wasn’t chosen by accident. He was named after his father, in a roundabout way.
.
The Secret Identity-friendly cover story is that he was adopted. I don’t think there needs to be an explanation as to why revealing Clark’s whole plant reproductive system situation isn’t safe.
.
The reason that Calvin’s powers don’t come in as strong as in Superman’s other kids are because genetics are weird and don’t always do the same thing every time. His parents are honestly relieved, because he’s already a handful, and a kid accidentally doing super-stuff is a LOT harder to keep on the down-low in a city than in the country.

Clark Kent is at home alone back at The Kent Family Farm burying his parents who he saw a day ago.
Clark’s hands cover his face as he cries with heavy layers of tears overcoming him.
He sighs wiping the last of his tears as he settles looking up he caught his reflection.
The mirror is crystal clear but that’s not what broke concentration.
Someone calls out to him screaming for help Clark jumps up.
He spins out of control shedding his clothes into his costume and assumes position.
The glass of the mirror erupts with blinding white light leaving him without sight.
The light fades leaving him to bought with his own confusion.
He has been transported to a entirely new realm of existence.
Tumblr media
“Where am I? “
“Am I still on earth?”
“Who are you?”
“Answer me now”
“Silence “
“Honestly Kryptonians”
“You are in a realm of my choosing”
“I created it out of thin air”
“Also you have no power here.”
Tumblr media
It took a mere second before Clark can even confirm any of this story.
He can no longer sense the air around him or feel it gather under his feet.
His ability to fly has been removed left null and void.
His eyes remain cool no longer able to blast anyone.
Like a ton of bricks he tumbles over himself onto the ground.
He can sense it now the entire chamber or dimension is made from kryptonite.
The man vanishes leaving Clark to die as he struggles to regain power:
Clark screams in pain attempting to crawl our of this space.
It is for not though with the energy level risen over then.
Tumblr media
“Oh Clark Kent”
“Yeah, I know”
“We all do”
“Who’s we ?”
“Your collective mind”
“I am here to right a wrong”
“Let me go”
“You-you-fiend”
“Mwahahahahaha, you wish”
Tumblr media
Clarke finally rose to his feet again only to find them firmly planted on the floor.
Clark using what little strength he manages to yank his feet up.
Every step he takes felt like some pit 100 lbs ankle chains on him.
His feet give him eventually firmly stuck to the ground.
He is now a open wide field day for him as the power of The Green rock drains him.
Clark does double fake closing his eyes to make sure he saw right.
A huge mirror appears on the north wall that seems a million miles away.
Clark grimaces at my voice his expression is very adamant.
As to say I have no one yet this is merely a inconvenience.
“Giving in are we?”
“Fuck you!”
“Is this what a hero does?”
“Curse really?”
“Shameful “
“Is that what you present to your loyal fans?”
“What do you want?”
“What do I want?”
“Hhhmmmm! This “
The mirror fades me out as a large laser like
beam hits him head on.
Clark head bobbles unable to move out of the lasers camera.
The screen fades showing off me in front of a unconscious body.
The camera pans down to show Clark he is he victim .
I turn to look at the camera kneeling next to to and wave.
Clark is in disbelief at everything unfolding before his eyes.
Leaning in I lick his ear as Clark shutters in ecstasy.
Laying my hand on his chest I let it roam freely causing Clark to moan.
His cock grows hard at my every touch stirs some deep dark side of him.
“No, you can’t…”
“I won’t….”
“Impossible “
“Nnnnooooo”
“I can’t think”
“My mind…my”
“What’s a mind?”
“This so hot”
Tumblr media
“No stop! I will bring you to justice “
I knew he is at his wits end so I go in for the kill literally flipping him over.
“Nnnnnnoooo”
“Let’s see what you are backing”
“‘Mmmmmmm feels good”
“Time to pay the piper”
“In minute this will be over”
“It will cease to have happen”
“1….2….3”
“Uuuuuugggggghhhhhh! Yes Master”
“Who am I?l
“You are Super boi”
“Super boi”
“My Slave”
“You will obey me”
“Made for me”
“Born to love, worship and obey me”
“Sir Yes Sir”

an alien Superman/Clark thing:
while the average human tends to suffer some form or another of procrastination, kryptonians are far more susceptible to precrastination. They tend to prioritize getting a task done as soon as possible, often to the detriment of their personal schedule or the quality of their work. While lois will put off her deadlines to the last minute and go on a massive stress bender the week/day/hour before the deadline, clark goes through the exact same stress bender... the minute he gets the assignment. It's something he largely learned to deal with while helping out pa kent at the farm (clark we can't plant next seasons crops today they will definitely die no you can't start watering the plants as you're planting them it doesn't work that way clark listen), but it still manifests in little ways: he prioritizes responding to an email over almost anything else in his work, he camps out in front of coffee shops as they open even though he knows he'd waste less time on the whole by just waiting to go in during the off hours, and his food is almost always a little undercooked because he just wants to get it done ASAP
(the two impulses cancel out in equal yet opposite way in the hybrids: jon has almost supernaturally good time management, while Kon is a mess all around)

Clark Kent & Krypto (Movie Outline)
This is another movie part of my plan for a cinematic universe involving most of Superman's core villains and allies, this one a sequel to Clark Kent, a series separate from the cinematic universe (at the moment):
The movie will begin with our young Clark Kent entering high school on the first day of his sophomore year. We will see most of his friend group has grown apart a bit. Lana and Pete have become an official couple, and don't spend too much time with the rest of their friends anymore. Leslie has grown more and more angry and spiteful in the years since her family died, separating herself from the group, and spending much of her time as a "social media influencer," most of the time badmouthing the red-and-blue blur who's been acting more and more as a hero. This leaves Clark with only Chloe.
They join the school paper staff, and Clark meets Chloe's cousin: the paper's editor Lois Lane. The pair clash right off the bat, Lois having no patience for nonsense and taking her job very seriously.
At one point, while watching one of Leslie's influencer videos, Clark and Lois get a clue that leads them to discovering that the school's creepy janitor Rudy Jones is involved in something bad. (Not sure if I just want it to be something like embezzling, or go all the way creepy. The second option feels like it might go a little far. Either way, dude's doing bad stuff). Clark stops him as the Blur, and Lois gets the evidence needed to get him fired and arrested. Their brief partnership does little to improve their relationship.
At home, Clark talks to his parents about wishing to know about his real heritage and where he came from. It's around this point that Clark's enhanced senses detect something crashing to Earth not very far away. Clark flies there to find a ship just like his own, but when it opens, he finds what looks like a pure white dog. The dog looks terrified out of its mind, and lashes out, only to be terrified by its powers manifesting.
The dog goes into full-on panic mode, which makes its powers manifest even more. It's all Clark can do to maintain the resultant damage, but he finally gets the dog calmed down and starts to play with it. When first investigating the ship, he had seen a Kryptonian word on the side, which he found he could actually read, and called the dog after the word.
As Clark takes Krypto home to figure things out with his parents, he fails to notice that the crash and subsequent panic had caused structural damage to the nearby building: the county jail, allowing Rudy Jones to break free. He finds his way to the alien ship, damaged during Krypto's panic and spilling a strange fluid from its engine. Rudy touches it and finds himself growing suddenly sick and passes out.
Clark convinces his parents to let him keep Krypto, if only so that Clark will train him to control his powers and not destroy everything the moment he sees a squirrel. Clark sleeps with Krypto inside a lead-lined room they had in the basement, ready to start his training the next day.
Several hours later, Rudy wakes up next to the alien ship. The entire field around him has become barren, every plant, withered and dead. His skin is a strange sickly pink and he barely feels human anymore. Even more, his every thought is caught up in a desperate unending hunger. Two sheriff's cars pull up, having gone looking for him, and the sheriff and her deputies try to arrest him. Rudy looks at them, seeing only food, and starts to drain them.
The next day, Clark has Krypto out in a park and is starting to train him. He can't even get him to behave, much less start to try to teach him to control his powers. He finds himself approached by Lois, who verbally spars with him initially, before helping him out with Krypto, saying her dad was in the military, so she spent most of her time with her dogs. They spend the afternoon training Krypto in basic concepts, Clark doing his best to hide the random superpower outbursts here and there.
Once he has the basics on dog care, he starts to teach Krypto about his powers on his own. Little by little, they start getting it, and Clark bonds a lot with his dog. Later that night, Clark receives news that the sheriff and her deputies were found dead, no more than dried, withered husks. Clark rushes out to where the bodies are, seeing them as desiccated skeletons. Krypto with him picks up on a scent and starts to howl and panic anxiously.
That night, Rudy Jones lurks around Smallville, consumed by hunger, his mind slowly slipping away and his body completing its transformation into an inhuman pink monster. He carries out multiple attacks that night, draining a couple, a random thief, and an old couple in their house of all life in them, but never becoming satisfied.
Clark and Krypto work together for a few days, trying to figure out the cause behind these attacks. He stops for a short minute, checking his social media and seeing a post from Leslie that gives him a clue. He races there only to find a monster sucking an amusement park worker dry. He knocks the creature over, and Rudy's barely sentient mind recognizes the blur as the same blur that had ruined his life. He turns on Clark, catching his punch and starting to drain him too.
Clark is stunned when he feels power draining out of him. The Parasite stares at him, feeling more power and life force than anything he'd felt before. It was like an all-you-can-eat buffet that would never run out. He held onto Clark, draining him more and more, until Krypto bit onto the monster, pulling him away from Clark. Clark slumps to the ground, feeling weak, and watches as the monster seems to gain his super-strength, forcing the dog off of himself, draining him of power, and throwing him hard against the building. Clark, in a rage, blasts the parasite away with a blast of heat vision.
Clark digs Krypto out of the rubble and finds him severely injured. He stumbles away, carrying him, unable to move as fast as he wants. Instead of going all the way home, he finds his way to Lois's house and begs her for help. Lois says he should go to a vet, but Clark refuses to do so. She sees his desperation and lets him in. Together, they nurse the dog back to health, Clark avoiding her questions about what happened.
On the news, they see Leslie being interviewed on the news, supplying all her video of the event. Though Clark's face is not shown, Lois sees enough of him and Krypto fighting Parasite to put things together. Clark admits to it, but tells her he's more concerned about his dog right now.
Meanwhile, Rudy finds himself regaining some small level of sentience alongside the powers he gained from the blur. He finds himself strong, fast, capable of flight and heat vision. He sees a broadcast of the news, watching Leslie being interviewed, and remembers her video being the reason he was fired. While he still has control of his faculties, he starts going after her.
Leslie starts heading home, looking through her videos and catches a brief shot of the blur's face. Just as she's about to realize Clark's identity, the Parasite rushes in and attacks her. While Krypto recovers, Clark's ears pick up on Leslie's screams, and he races off to save her.
The Parasite chases her into an electrical substation. The ensuing struggle leads to her getting a cut on her arm, but also managing to make him bleed in return. The monster manages to catch her, and slams her into a transform her, shocking her with a powerful surge, neither noticing a drop of the Parasite's blood dripping into her wound. The Parasite is blasted back, and Leslie falls, unconscious.
Clark arrives on the scene to see the Parasite a little fried from the blast. It goes after him, but no longer has his power or sentience. It does its best to grab hold of him, but Clark is smart enough to avoid it for a while. A battle ensues, and eventually the Parasite manages to get a hand on him, starting to drain him once again.
Krypto's ears perk up at the sound of Clark's pain, and makes to run for him. Lois decides to set him loose and he races for the substation, slamming into the parasite and biting him again. Together, Clark and Krypto work together against him, deducing that they might be able to overload him. They find the station's central power unit, let themselves get grabbed by the monster, and slam it into the transformer. The combined shock and their two energies fill up the parasite with more energy than it can handle and it explodes.
Clark rushes Leslie to a hospital, where the doctors say she has slipped into a coma. Lois and Chloe arrive, Lois pulling Clark aside and comforting him as he feels bad for failing Leslie again. Jonathan and Martha arrive, and they take Clark and Krypto home.
We get a couple more ending scenes at school, with Clark and Lois still sparring with one another, but in a much more friendly and flirtatious way, ending in them agreeing to go on a date in one of those "Fine!" "Fine!" "Fine!" kind of ways.
In a post-credits scene, we zoom in on Leslie in the hospital, to see that the skin around her wound is turning a grayish-blue. Her fingers twitch and sparks fly from them as the lights overhead flicker.
Anyway, this is a good way to work in Krypto as well as the Parasite. I hope you liked it, and I'll hopefully put out the third soon.

Lex Luthor trying to be like a not terrible dad and be supportive but is definitely off the mark;
Tim and Kon get married, he is there like unsure how affectionate to be but is like, here's the original Luthor farm because idk he doesn't use it and they clearly have a place in Gotham but Connor loves Smallville so maybe they want a place there and mercy and several parenting books are like sentimental things are good though, this is a good idea. And it is tbf. Connor can still do farm chores at the Kent's and stuff but they have their own space and can like add to it. It becomes like less haunted by the terrible childhoods had there over a few years.
Timeskip, slightly
They've been married like over 3 1/2 years and Lex while getting better is still lacking some like emotional intelligence and awareness, genius doesn't mean smart in all ways. So he's always given gifts on theme to the classic wedding anniversary themes which at 4 years is fruit or flowers which is stumping him to plan. Because like sure he could gift them like enough trees to plant a sizeable orchard but that doesn't seem like it's hitting the mark and Bruce can definitely gift them that with like extra oomph from Dr.Isley (because obviously, the gift giving is still in a way a competition between inlaws) So he's looking over the files he has on both of them, and a parenting book, and as he flicks through the files there's like the closest thing to a baby photo Conor has, which is a small tube with a blob. But this sparks a train of thought that goes through several stations and none of them are common sense ville in Lex's head right. Fruit > Fruitful Loins > Children > Expertise in Kryptonian human blended clones > A gift only I could easily do for them > Average time in a marriage before having kids > current public opinion of the couple > increase in public standing for them and me by having kids > ?? > Wins all round tbh!
It's not necessarily hard for lex to get both their DNA, but it takes some time and then getting viable clones is another little bit so he's delayed on getting it to them. So they get an anniversary card ( hand delivered by mercy who's so happy to not be around "Soon to be a grandfather" Lex Luthor) and it says something along the lines of sorry your gift this year is slightly late, my plans were going perfectly so I blame their tardiness on the Kryptonian" So they call Clark to be like Hey, did you bust any of lexs more morally dubious plots recently because looking at this card it seems like you did, not mad though, just let us know. He's like no, I didn't, I'll like scope it out though, btw here's a weird Kryptonian house plant for the apartment that I got Ivys help to grow, happy anniversary. Tim is slightly worried because Clark comes back being like nope, it's all a-ok, totally fine. But like he can't do much because him and Connor have a Hawaiian holiday booked to just relax and be themselves, nice anniversary present from Bruce (While he brings several hundred trees to the farm and Ivy to plant them so a surprise orchard appears when they get back - let's see lex top this) they come back after a week and the next day...
Meanwhile Clark went to go talk to Lex to be like I hope you're not doing anything too weird because like co-parenting is weird but don't scar our son anymore right. Only Lex is like at yet another secret lab checking final development on the fraternal twins so when Clark finally tracks him down (mercy ignored him for a solid 5 hours because she had too much cover work to do and also no patience for this) he's standing in a classic evil pose watching a pair of growth chambers with babies in them. (He says it's just a power pose and it's kind of a default for him after years in board meetings) Clark is immediately like dude what the actual fuck! Why did you try and make more clones when your parenting at the moment is freaking out the son we do have?? "Aah, but these aren't our children, they are our grandchildren." Pauses for dramatic effect "Do you think Kon-El and Timothy will appreciate the gift of children the way their parents have not?" Clark bluescreens. Reboots. Thinks really hard at super speed. And then starts politely asking Lex questions to find out why, how, have you talked to anyone else about this plan at all, why again, etc. Lex's train of thought finally gets diverted for an emergency service in common sense ville. Communication is a thing, that he has not done. But at this point it will ruin the surprise and this way you can say you knew about the grandchildren before batman "The worlds greatest Dective" so please don't tell them.
A definitely not misty eyed Batman steps out of the shadows of this lab "We won't tell them, that's for you. Though I will make sure Alfred prepares the nursery" He will say he found it through detective work and careful following - he tracker tagged Clark and once it took more than three hours for him to find and talk to Lex, Bruce was prepped to Zeta wherever he found Lex and provide backup because he was also sus of the in-law. Clark goes home and tells Lois and she's like, normally parents just complain and guilt you into having kids like yours did, not decide it was taking too long so I'll make them for you and hand them over wrapped in a nice blanket. But this is Lex so she isn't as surprised and also excited because babies.
Batman and Superman have totally been acting weird this whole week which only like a dozen people noticed but one of them was the Flash so there's a JL betting pool on why. The only thing they can for sure tell is that it's good news. Tim and Conor get called for a Titans mission as soon as they get back from holiday and even though it's short it's tiring but like Bart fills them in afterwards about the Goss while they wash up before heading back to the Gotham penthouse and neither of them have any idea about why their dads are acting weird, it disturbs them.
Next morning they're having a slight lie in, or that was the plan if not for them hearing the intercom buzz and the faint sounds of crying babies while Lex asks politely to be let up. Tim doesn't actually hear this, being an insomniac who needs sleep and cuddles, but Connor does and him getting up to let Lex+ in disturbs Tim. They get dressed and make coffee while Luthor is in the elevator. Tim is drinking gods nectar when Connor moves to let Lex in who comes in with a pair of the fanciest nappy bags slung over his shoulder and a file folder. Mercy (the ever tired absolute boss in need of a payrise) is behind him pushing a double buggy which she pushes into the apartment and then leaves to let them have privacy while she gets the rest of the stuff. Tim starts drinking the coffee faster when he sees the buggy because he's not awake enough yet. Connor asks whos are the kids. Lex is like "Yours, I informed you that your gift for your anniversary would be slightly late. You'll need to pick names for them in the next three days and fill out the forms located in this file to register the birth. Don't worry we've got paper work to show they were created as part of an experimental surrogacy program for LexCorp so no one will know they're created with cloning technology" He's said this barefaced to try and not give away that he's nervous about their reactions. Tim does a spit take and Connor Bluescreens.
--- more to follow maybe at some point. Free to a good home if someone wants to actually write it out and make English good because accidental baby aquisition and TimKon parenting is a fic we all need more of ---

The Superfam as Yandere’s Part 1: Clark Kent
Tumblr media
This is a yandere story; it mentions elements of obsession, possessiveness, death, murder, kidnapping, and physical abuse. If any of this is triggering for you, I understand, and you don’t have to read it.
*Suicide Warning*
As Always Feedback is Welcome
Clark always wondered about the hand print on his chest, his parents said it was a birthmark, but Clark always thought that it was more. Growing up, he’d find himself staring at it, wondering what it meant because it just had to mean something, it had to.
Once Clark found out about where he was from, suddenly it made a lot more sense. Jor-El had explained that on Krypton, it would be used to identify one’s life mate or to use earth terminology, a soulmate, the person whom he’d spend the rest of his life with. It’d be the first place that they’d touch him.
Not the first place he’d touch them mind you, Jor-El had made that distinction clear, on Krypton it wouldn’t have mattered much, but on earth, it would make all the difference. Humans didn’t have pre-determined mates; they wouldn’t have the same instant connection. Clark supposed he could live with that, he’d just have to build a relationship with them the human way.
At least until he’d pulled you from a burning building, many people over the years had placed their hands over his mark while flying, but it hadn’t felt like this before, searing pain followed by soothing coolness, and even if Jor-El hadn’t explained it to him, Clark would have known you were his on the spot.
Everything in him vibrated with the need to make you his, to claim you. On Krypton, this wouldn’t have been a problem; his mate would have felt the same, but here on earth, relationships had to be built. Once you were safely back on the ground, it took more strength than Clark thought he possessed to release you, and it took even more strength to keep from frying the EMT, who wrapped a blanket around your shoulders.
As you watched superman fly off, you had no idea how much your life was going to change, and how badly you’d wish it didn’t.
Clark had thought he’d have more control then what he did, as it turns out it was harder to fight his Kryptonian instincts than he’d realized. At first, he’d settled for watching you, his periscopic and x-ray vision making this an easy task. Some days when he was feeling extraordinarily brave, he’d sneak into your apartment and just be surrounded by your life.
While Clark was there, he’d decided to use his time to find out whatever he could about you; that way, when the two of you got married, he could have everything on the farm perfect. His mother would have been so happy to meet you, but she’d passed away last year and would never get the chance to.
Clark shook off the sadness that thought brought; he’d found his soulmate he needed everything to be absolutely perfect for your first meeting, but before that, he’d have to get rid of that waste of space you called a husband.
After the man died in what the police would rule a tragic accident, you’d start going to a grief counseling group, one that Clark would take full advantage in joining, the death of his mother was still a fresh wound, after all, this would be a way to kill two birds with one stone.
Clark had just started talking about how his parents met, his father was getting his degree in agriculture, and his mother had been going to law school because of her parents wishes. Some man in a fancy suit interrupted Clark to say, “You can get a degree in farming.” In the most condescending tone, Clark had ever heard.
Clark was about to say something when you chimed in, “You’re the kind of person who thinks you can plant corn in the same soil every year, and it’ll be perfectly fine, aren’t you? Well, jokes on you, there’s some legitimate science that goes into farming.” The group counselor got everything back on track after that, Clark finished his story about his parents
When the group was over, you’d came up to him and started talking, “I’m sorry about Robert he can be a real jerk sometimes, but he’s lost someone just like the rest of us. I shouldn’t have lost my temper with him honestly,” You said, rubbing the back of your neck nervously.
Clark remembered the man’s story. It had been just over a year ago when his little sister who’d been attending Central City University had called him really freaked out and said she was coming back to Metropolis but on her way she’d died in a tragic car accident. The girl’s body had been so charred that they could only identify her by a necklace her brother had given her.
Clark thought it sounded similar to the story of how Barry brought his wife home, just a much more gruesome version, really all Flash had done was liberate the girl from years of unnecessary struggle. What really was the point in getting her doctorate when the young little thing wasn’t going to be able to use it anyways. Berry had been taking excellent care of her; she was even about to give birth to their first child soon. Clark still thought it was a bit too early for that, Berry’s wife had yet had time to properly adjust to married life, but who was he to judge.
What did it matter anyway when her brother had given Clark the perfect point to insert himself into your life? Over the next year, the two of you got to know each other better, and Clark couldn’t be happier, at least he thought so until one day when you’d kissed him.
The rain had suddenly just started pouring down, and the two of you were hiding under an awning of a local café, giggling like mad, and then you grabbed onto his tie and pulled him down to your level. When you pressed your lips against his, Clarks heart soared. Clark wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you right up against him with strength you didn’t know he possessed. You smiled against his lips, happy for the first time since your husband died. If only you knew where this would end.
Three months later, he pulled you onto a rooftop, removed his glasses, and jumped off the edge. “Clark,” you’d screamed as you started running over to where he ledge, only to have him land in front of you. “You’re,” You gulped.
“Superman,” Clark said finishing your sentence. You ran like hell, you cared for Clark, and you were grateful to superman, who was well apparently also Clark, but you couldn’t lose anyone else like you had your husband. So, you decided to lose Clark now, while he was still alive, and your heart would only ache because of a breakup and not a funeral.
You cried yourself to sleep that night.
You woke up in a strange place to the sound of a rooster crowing, you felt your heart in your throat, and then Clark walked in and started acting like you’d been married for years and refusing to acknowledge when you’d tried talking sense into him.
You’d learned to play along, but he’d never truly broke you, and years later, a few days before Jon was five, you ran as fast and far as you could. Part of you felt guilty for leaving Jon behind, but he was just like his father; you could see it already.
You knew you couldn’t run forever, so somehow, you’d ended up standing in front of the hall of Justice waiting for the league. It was a dumb plan, who would even know if they’d believe you, but they couldn’t approve of Clark kidnaping a woman and forcing her to have a kid.
You’d been relieved when batman brought you back into the members-only part of the hall, they believed you or were at least taking your allegations seriously. You didn’t realize what a mistake it would be to go to Clark’s friends until Bruce stabbed you in the neck with a tranquilizer.
You wanted to cry when you woke up tied to a support beam in the Kent farms storm cellar. You’d been so close to freedom, why did you think that the Justice League didn’t know about you.
Clark came down into the cellar later that night with dinner in tow, and when he asked you why you ran away, you spit in his face, you were done playing the docile little housewife. For years you’d bent to this man’s will even having a child you didn’t want, well no more.
Clark didn’t bring you food for three days after that, and in those days, the only reason Clark came down was to let you use the bucket in the corner he’d been calling your bathroom, still you’d held firm. You’d lost track of time, but after nearly two years had passed in that damn cellar, you spotted it hiding in the corner.
A rusty knife lay buried under buckets of what was probably the lead paint Clark had used to make sure Jon couldn’t see in here. You’d been fraying your ropes against the beam since Clark had brought you breakfast, and once it was a hair away from braking, you waited until you were sure Clark wasn’t coming back for a while.
Once you were sure, Clark wasn’t going to come back; you snapped your rope and ran over to the knife. No matter how heavy the blade felt in your hand, you were under no illusions of being able to take down superman. If you couldn’t have your freedom by running away, you’d take it another way, you thought as you closed your eyes and pressed the blade to your throat.
When Clark came back to the cellar with your dinner, he couldn’t believe what he saw, his soulmate was lifelessly laying on the floor surrounded by her own blood.

After being reminded of how awful canon film is I wrote my own self indulgent version of Batman Vs. Superman. I want the story to be self contained, so no Doomsday or Darkseid forewarning. Warning: Rambling, me being butthurt while high on sugar, really trying to make this a coherent storyline with genuine development, some Bruce x OC moments shut up you demon!
The beginning is the same as in canon with Lois in Africa???Middle East??? With her partner James Olsen trying to resolve a hostage situation. James gets killed trying to protect a hostage, but before anymore are killed Superman comes in and rescues them. He subdues not kill the terrorists but gets into trouble with the intelligence agency for interrupting their mission. This incident reaches the ears of Helen Hunt's character the no-nonsense Senator. However Superman is more concerned for the deceased James and the unharmed hostages than getting in trouble with the government, he feels guilty being unable to save James in time.
After James Olsen's funeral Clark and Lois are unsure what to do next. They decide the best way to honor his memory is continuing their line of working bringing light to troubling issues as well as a troubling rose of villains. They also find out that the terrorists had weapons given to them by Luthor (to protect interests in that region).
Meanwhile, Lex decides to capitalize on the post destruction of Metropolis by launching a smear campaign. He also starts pursuing charitable events to make himself look good in front of the masses. Because of growing negativity towards Supes, Clark starts feeling a lack of confidence but from reassurance from his mom he redirects his focus hero by doing small stuff around Smallville. Gradually the town starts to see him in a far better light but there's still Metropolis and the larger world. Clark goes there to help rebuild. At his job at DP, he gets the chance to interview visiting millionaire Bruce Wayne in Whatever City (not the actual name but a totally different city from Metropolis and Gotham). At the press meeting Bruce is rather cold & not as Clark expected. He's even working with Lex Luthor as part of a business deal, which makes Clark wary as he knows about Luthor's criminal activity.
Superman goes out in a flight to clear his head. While flying around he sees a kid walking on the railroad tracks hy himself with a pair of headphones....and a train steadily approaching! Supes swoops in and saves the kod from being nuked and chastises him for being so reckless. The teenager apologies and introduces himself as Jimmy Olsen (a nephew of the deceased James). He had been listening to music as a way to cope with his uncle's death. They talk for a while and Superman brings Jimmy back home. Several weeks later Clark ends up mentoring Jimmy as a school project.
Back in Whatever City we're introduced to one of Lex's assistants Nicola. She's a former Holliday Girl who had overheard Lex's plan and vowed to stop him. She managed to get in contact with an old friend: Diana Prince. Nicola brings up Lex's plan and hidden research of metahumans. The Amazon surmises that such a scheme could result in the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of people. Diana decides to bring her agency to stop him & asks Nicola to stay low. Diana gathers her old armor and prays to the Gods for luck.
Lex apparently likes Nicola enough to send her an invite to a charity ball, where she crosses paths with Bruce for the first time. They talk for a while only to be interrupted by Clark.
After a meeting with Luthor to discuss a merger with their companies, and seeing hints of Luthor's true selfishness, Bruce grows suspicious of him and started to dig around. We see through memorabilia that his initial coldness towards Clark and other people wasn't out of spite but of grief: Jason Todd's death some years ago.
Clark continues his good deeds and is slowly regaining his respect. He even makes plan to visit a children's hospital but is forced to cancel when Superman gets called to show up for a Congress hearing. At the meeting Superman admits his guilt but tells about James and how he died a hero. The Senator doesn't know where Superman is going with this but is listening. Then Superman's voice trails of as he hears a beeping noise and shocked he leaves the room in a hurry. He briefly searches the place and finds a bomb strapped in a closet. He carries the bomb out and throws it as high into the sky as possible Back inside the audience and senator are bewildered by his absence then hear a loud booming noise outside. There's shock as a bright light flashes in the sky...
Superman legit rejected their hearing to save them from a bomb. A bomb planted there by Tess on the instructions of Luthor...a plan she was willing to sacrifice her own life for.
This leaves the senator reconsidering her stance: if he really was as bad as people say then he wouldn't have saved them.
After the incident the entire country begins to have a more positive opinion of Superman while the government launches a search for possible terrorists. Bruce hears about what happened and after sneaking around as Batman, finds out about Luthor being the one responsible for the attempted terror attack. Later on he (as civilian) makes an announcement that he is not going to go through with the merger with LexCorp.
Hearing the news that Superman foiled his attempted assassination (and losing out on Wayne Enterprises), Lex gets very pissed off and threatens to fire Tess. She tries to save face by reminding Lex of his contingency plan...making Lex calm down and grin as he begins to remake his plan.
Nicola agrees to a date with Bruce and prepares. Meanwhile Lois and Jimmy are enjoying a night on the town while Clark stays behind to work on a news story. The two friends were about ti make it back to their hotel before being accosted by some men who force them into a car and takes them to Lex Corp.
At the HQ Lois calls him out that his plan could spell doom for the world. Surprisingly Luthor agrees but makes it clear he doesn't care. He orders his men to capture her, but Jimmy manages to escape and goes off to find Clark (who is writing a story to expose Luthor's actions). Jimmy tells him learns from him that Lois is in trouble Superman tells him to stay as he fetches the police. In reality he jas gone to find her as his hero alias. He finds her but just as he's about to rescue her Lex threatens that he also has another certain someone (Martha Kent ) captured if he doesn't comply, seeing that Supes was often seen visiting her. Reluctantly Superman complies and Lois is freed from her bonds, yet Lex takes them as hostages to a room lined with Green Kryptonite. He leaves to his warehouse to check on progress of his prototype. Jimmy wonders where Clark has gone and goes to the police station himself.
On their date Bruce mentions to Nicola that he knows what she's up to. Nicola coldly replies what was he talking about and he mentions Lex's actions and her possible status as an accomplice This starts a spat leading to Nicola spilling that she is working against Lex (making her a foil to the blindly loyal Tess) and that her goal was to stop Lex from unleashing his plan. She already called a friend to help them yet when Bruce presses forward they see a kid (Jimmy) wandering around and concerned asks what's wrong. Jimmy replies that his friend was kidnapped and doesn't know what to do. Bruce leaves to find Clark while Nicola stays with Jimmy.
Nicole & Jimmy arrives back at the hotel and sees Tess Mercer waiting for them. She had been sent by Luthor to eliminate the witness. Nicola tries to talk her coworker out of harming an innocent kid but Tess refuses. They duel but Tess proves to be a surprisingly stronger fighter. Before Tess could come in for the kill a frightened Jimmy knocks her out cold from behind.
At HQ Lois & a weakened Superman attempt an escape. Lois believes its hopeless but Clark reminds her that Lex won't put them down for long. Batman arrives at the HQ and stealthily avoids the guards. He deduces the room Lois and Supes are locked up in and free them. Batman says thay a little birdie told him everything Lois and Clark grinning that it's Jimmy and the two superheroes decide to work together to bring down Lex.
Batman goes to save Martha (the warehouse fight) while Superman goes to confront Lex, dropping Lois off at the hotel where rhe police are waiting (Tess apprehended). Nicola researcher offers to take the reporter home but she declines, not wanting to sit back and watch Lex try to destroy the world. After giving her report to the police she and Nicole meet Steven Trevor (a descendant of Steve Trevor and an agent). Steven says he already sent his men to arrest Lex as they found that he waa behind the bombing. Lois sneaks away to see if she can help Clark.
Clark manages to catch uo to Lex at his lab and tries to reason with him. Lex says that he already unleashed his prototype as a test to see how many lives Superman is able to save. Superman argues that Lex has gone mad trying to play god, which he disagrees: "I'm not playing god I'm only playing favorites is all." Disgusted, Superman leaves and goes off to fight the prototype. As he does an entire line of trucks arrive...led by Nicola's special friend...
Lex realizes he has been found out and tries to destroy the evidence. Lois realize that the monster was made of Kryptonian DNA so she looks around for the spare Kryptonite and manages to grab a considerable long piece. Just as she does the place starts flooding and she runs. However she nearly drown. Fortunately she gets pulled out by a woman wearing armor. Lois doesn't even ask her name as she recognizes the W shaped emblem and blue&red color scheme. Lois gives the heroine the spear and tells her that she says she loves Clark. Wonder Woman nods and heads towards the direction of Superman.
Superman draws the monster out away from the city and is helped by Batman. Wonder Woman arrives with the spear. The final battles commences with Batman providing a distraction to lead the prototype away. Diana and Superman fight the beast but is soon overpowered. Clark takes the makeshift spear and goes off and manages to subdue the creature rather unwilling to kill it. However he gets blown up by a missile sent by the US military and everyone thinks he is dead.
To his he walks out of the smoke, banged up but alive, having narrowly escaped the blast. The monster has died, leaving Clark to wonders sadly if the monster could have been saved as it had no control over its actions. A relieved Lois embraces him as the other two supers look on in bittersweet triumph.
Several days later, the President, on the behest of the Helen Hunt Senator, gives Superman a full pardon. The world also starts to see rising of actual superheroes to take in the increase of villains having been inspired by the actions of the newly dubbed Trinity. The ending shows that long term exposure to Kryptonite left Lex without any hair, cementing his iconic look. He had also beem arrested and tried and ends up locked up at a mental institution on an insanity plea. His other henchmen & Tess are jailed and Luthor's company scrambles to do damage control. Bruce catches up to Clark and apologizes for being cold. They part ways on better terms before musing at the similarities between their alter egos. Diana teases that they make a great team and returns to the capital with her team. Bruce returns to Gotham and stops at the cemetery to place flowers on Jason Todd's grave, showing that he moved to the acceptance stage of grief. Jimmy also ends up getting a job as an intern for Daily Planet with Lois as his mentor this time. And Nicola goes to Gotham to work as a social worker and takes up a case: Cassandra Cain.
The final scene ends with Clark as Superman dressed up in Metropolis visiting a local orphanage/foster home, showing that at his core he truly does care about humanity despite all them haters. 👏👏 👏 happy ending everyone!!!
The movie ends with a montage of
- Cyborg walking around aimlessly in his hometown and finding a discarded newspaper highlighting the heroes' exploits and getting the idea to try becoming a hero himself
- Aquaman in his kingdom catching up with the surface world and becoming curious, and wonders about an alliance
- Barry standing in a hill in his city in costume. He grins and smiles, before pulling over his cowl and racing off
- And Lex, plotting an escape from his cell, suddenly sees a peculiarly tall guard looming over him. He makes a digging comment that the guard shrugs off. To his surprise the guard unlocks the cell and leads Lex out. Lex asks who the guard is; the guard slips off his disguises revealing a sapient Gorilla...Gorilla Grodd!
All This sets up a future plot point that wouldn't be explored until after Justice League where we're introduced to the cinematic LEGION OF DOOM!!! The prototype they fight is not doomsday but foreshadows the creation of Bizarro (who was one of the original members of the LoD).
With the actual Justice League movie we continue with the formation of the team through several subplots converging into one major story arc. The Helen Hunt Senator plays a huge role being their ally and influence on building the Hall of Justice. Plus more Brucola stuff because we need fun stuff in Batman, Tom King.

After the initial move to Mrs Kent's house they had given you a week to settle in before getting stuck in to your school work. Not only you but konner as well letting you both bond which you had, the both of you had become close...konner had opened up quicker than you had, already secure about his place in the family you on the other hand was less sure. You had a trouble with it you wanted to believe that you was here permanently , that this was it where you belonged but you couldnt help holdingnyour breath still waiting for something to happen. Currently you and konner was in the old barn, you'd both unconsciously decided that it was your hang out, the place you go to escape the adults and get to know one another without the eagle eyes of the others. Somewhere to get away from an overbearing Clark who seemed to take the term mother hen to a whole new level, it wasnt necessarily bad but it was hard for you to go from no one gives a shit to holy shit this guy is consistently fussing over you. You knew he was trying to be inclusive and trying to solidify your place in the family reassuring you, wanting to show you he cared. Which was good youll admit you liked the attention in a way, you'd not had this type of parental guidance for a long long time but you'd didn't realoze how suffocating it was. You also suspected that your injuries had something to do with it aswell, you couldn't exactly fault him for it.
So here you were hiding out in the barn with konner as Clark flitted about the place doing odd chores here and there .Martha had gone out to work and would be home after the lunch rush at work.  You rolled across the blanket that covered the hay pile your lime green cast glowing in the noon sun you winced as the light reflected off of it and shuffled moving it into a shadowed area. Currently you and konner were shareing details about your abilities, something the both of you had avoided and danced around until you got more comfortable with each other.
"Soo you don't make things? You just stretch'em" you nodded at him as he sat above you cross legged on one of the wooden cross beams that spanned the large space.
"Yeah pretty much..I can't touch living things tho, no plants or animals or people" you said glancing at your arm sighing it would have been nice to just fix it but no  you had to wait it out.
"That sucks..." you nodded mournfully but then tilted your head back to get a better look at him.
"So what about you? Your an ET wannabe right?" He laughed flipping you the bird"Fuck you" you giggled as he shook his head jumping down from the beam landing just before you.
"Kryptonian is the politically correct term I think....Well hybrid... I'm half Clarks and... Half human" he said dusting off a little to sit on the hay across from you. You noticed the hesitation and the way he swerved around his own comments. Deciding to leave it be you opted to ignore it, much to Konners relief.
"So can you do all the stuff he can?" Konner smiled and shrugged
"You mean dad? Yeah sort of, I can do most...We are still waiting to see if we're exactly alike but I've got the strength speed and flight....I can do the lazer thing to which is cool but I havent found a practical use for it yet...Or a way to practice that shit is hot." You hummed at him then looked out of the open barn doors to the corn field.
"Corn?" He tilted his head following your gaze confused
"What?" You smiled at him Sitting up letting your arms fall into your lap
"Pop some corn...I mean theres a field right there...." he looked at the rows of corn catiously.
"Popcorn...You want me to use my laser eyes to...Get you a snack? How is that gojng to help me?" You rolled your eyes at him grunting."Oh for fuck sake...get unpopped popcorn and I will throw them in the air and you pop'em with your melty eyes.... you know target practice...And if I happen to catch some with my mouth its a bonus!" He sat up a little it wasn't a bad idea but Clark wouldn't like it.He doesnt like him practicing without him here.
"What about dad? Won't he be pissed?" You laughed and shook your head.
"Not really not like anyone can see us out hear and Clark did say we can practice around the place" Konner's grin fell he was worried that you hadn't really...Adapted? well you had...But you wont refer to the others as Dad and Grandma. As far as he was concered you were his sister already but he just really wanted you to know it was okay...That you really did have a family now. His dad and Grandma had told him not to push but he got the feeling you wanted to...Somethjng was holding you back.
"..You do know he is technically your dad now to right... You can call him dad and you can call Grandma, Grandma they wont be mad....I think they would like that." you sighed looking down, you knew that but it just... You didn't know, was it disrespectful to your real parents? You'd only been here a week? Surely it was to early...Even if it felt right, natural. He waved a hand at you
"You dont have to...I just didn't want you not to.. you know..Incase you thought they didn't want you to thats all, don't want you to have stupid thoughts like that holding you back" you blinked at him smiling sadly
"I-I do but...I still dont think I will be here long...I'm gonna slip up, if I ever accidentally hurt Martha I'm gone"  he frowned at you
"No...If that happens; which I don't think it will, but if it does then we deal with it togethet...you wont get very far if you do run...Me and dad will bring you back home and we talk things out .Thats what family is, we stay together and help each other, your my little sister, the first person my age I don't have to worry about hurting so much. I can relax more around you because you can protect yourself if thing get to much, you think im gonna let you leave over an accident? Fuck no like Dad keeps saying your here now, your a kent and your stuck with us...I hope you see that sooner rather then later it can't be nice always being ready to run" your lip quivered eyes filling with tears as he explained this, the conviction in his voice how he spoke with absolute certainty. Unwilling to cry in front of him you simply nodded to him. Getting the message he patted your arm then disappeared for what seemed like seconds with a small bag of unpopped corn cernals.
"Show off" you sniffed moving to wipe your eyes only to hiss when you cracked yourself on the head with your cast you whined rubbing to sore spot and froze when Konner held out some tissues to you
"I grabbed them inside" you smiled at him meekly. He gave you a soft look, he hated seeing you struggle but he had said what needed to be said, said what he had needed to hear when it was him all those years ago. Quickly he changed his expression and smirked tossing you the bag of popcorn cernals you opened them swiftly still fighting a few tears back then looked around deciding on the safest area to throw them.
"So... Just to clarify if this falls down you will save me right?" he smiled nodding"Of course I will, you will be out of here before it even started falling down" you nodded then took two cernals in hand.
"so one or two?" he smiled and held up a finger. One. you threw it up and shreiked as he tried to ignite it missing ...well you only noticed he missed when you heard the little tap of it hitting the floor you both laughed seeing two tiny holes in the side of the barn. You grabbed another and threw it up he missed again, but he ws closer than before. This carried on for another few minutes with you oth getting excited as he got closer just skimming one, the heat from his vision making it partially pop.
"Oh no that one dont count you didnt hit the fuckjng thing!" He argued
"It popped tho!"  You blinked at him.
"Okay half a point ready to go again?" He fist pumped then nodded readying himslef to go agajn. Finally thirty six cernals later he got it. You both jumped up.
"FUCK YEAH WOO!" You quickly moved to the popped popcorn on the floor dusting it off then ate it, you held up your hands to him chewing slowly as if you was a food critic then shook our head.
"Yep no under cooked" you both stared then burst out into hysterics crying with laughter.
"Lets try two this time!" You nodded moving to the bag pulling two more cernals out of the bag when you turned back round you froze. Shit.
"Why are there singe holes all over this barn?" Konner jumped turning around faceing an unamused Clark, who stood frowning at the both of you with his arms crossed. You and konner shared a look then peered around the barn...There was lots of them.. Some were just peep holes others longer and had charred lines around them. In all the fun youd both forgot where you were, and the barn now looked like it had taken a spray of bullets from a firing squad.
"Well? Konner? Y/n?" You cleared your throat and smoved to stand beside Konner
"Konner was...practicing, training" Clark raised an eyebrow shifti g his weight to one foot.
"Hmm? what exactly? See how he could burn the barn down without setting it on fire?" You both winced at his tone...He really wasnt impressed.
"You know this barn is older then me? It survived me growing up playing in it, yet an afternoon with the both of you and it looks about ready  to keel over?....What were you both doing?" You moved to open your mouth but Clark stopped you holding up a hand.
"And if you try to get smart with me and say training again your going to be grounded for much longer then you already are young lady!" You flinched back. Wow. He had never spoke to you like that...Well not since you met him, he was always so laid back and fun, the type of adult you listened to because they were so chill but who knew he could switch over to no nonsense stern dad so effortlessly... You wavered uncertain how to approach him like this, it had been a while since youd cared about an adults opinion of you and you really didn't want Clark to hate you turning you looked to konner for help.
"Well...we were seeing how accurate my aim was...So y/n was throwing popcorn cernals and I was trying to pop them....I did miss a few times." Clark blinked then scanned the barn. He sighed shaking his head at his son exasperated.
"Konner... We've spoke about this I will take you to the fortress to train, but not here you could hurt yourself!" Clark stopped his scolding when he saw you take a large step infront of konner
"It was my fault I wanted to see so I came up with the idea...He was just trying to cheer me up." You stood firm shaking a little, you didn't like Clark raising his voice, he didn't shout but it was enough to make you nervous of him. He fixed you with a look making you cower from him slightly then sighed shaking his head, he didn't want you to be scared of him.
"Thank you y/n. But even if it was your idea he still knows how I feel about it I'm disappointed in both of you. Your both grounded for the rest of the week, this was very reckless and I don't want to catch either of you doing this again are we clear?" You both nodded to him solonmly resigning yourself to a few days being stuck indoors. He sighed then smiled a little to tell you the truh he was happy in a way, you'd become close and were up to mischief, which was good? You could both be a little reckless and act your age. You both had someone to let loose with. But he couldn't help worrying over the two of you. Had you got to carried away the barn could have collapsed,  yes konner would have most likely got you both out but you were already hurt, already vulnerable and fragile.  He really didn't want to risk anything. Luckily it hadn't come to that and the damage to the barm wasn't that bad... A few new boards and a new cross beam at the top, regular humans would need to dismantle the roof to sort it out but him and konner could have it done in an afternoon, he would also have you help as he had no doubt that you'd encouraged your brother. He smiled chuckling catching the two teens by surprise.
"Popcorn...I mean it was obvious right?..Wish I'd thought of that one...Any way lets start sorting this out befor Ma gets home shouldn't take to long not like the time I-" he caught him slef noticing the looks he was getting.
"What did you do to the barn?" You asked breaking the silence as konner waited both eager to hear what Clark had gotten up to when he was little. He cleared his throat
"Never you mind, now come on get to it, start picking up all that corn the we can see about plugging some of those holes" you shared a look with konner moving slowly collecting the corn as Clark moved to the back of the barn inspecting the damage.
"What do you think he did?" Konner shrugged
"Not sure apparently according to Grandma he was a little goody two shoes so... it couldn't have been that bad"
"Im gonna ask her when she gets back" konner froze and shook his head.
"No dont! Do not do that! We don't wana be in trouble with Grandma ever, dads a piece of piss to deal with but Grandma? She is a different beast altogether...To clever with punishments I mean she perfected her methods on him... She knows what shes doing" you blinked at him.
"We? You mean you I wont get in to much trouble...I mean evidence points to you, your the one with laser eyes." You smirked impishly at him as he looked shocked.
"You'd throw me under the bus? Just like that?" You nodded
"To avoid Martha's wrath abso-fucking-lutly sorry dude but Im not getting sucked into that shit show...Actually....Dont worry I got this she will never know." Befor Either on them could ask you'd closed your eyes then opened. Konner took a step back as they glowed bright. And sure enough the small holed were closeing, you coiled the fibres of the wood around in tight circles until the holes were all coveres feeljng aroh d the planks looking for them all. Konner gasped watching the way you manipulated the planks hearing a slight tiny creaking of the wood as it bended around itself.  You moved to the side looking at the damaged beam quickly knitting it back together filling in the two deep burns that ran across it. Slowly you looked back down to the other two and smiled.
"All done...The beam should hold I made the grain tighter where it was." Clark smiled as he made his way towards you patting your shoulder and giving a sweet kiss to your hair.
"Thank you y/n now I think we shouldall head inside dont you?" You stuttered as he continued past you and Konner. Who was gaping at you.
"That was so fucking awsome! You made that look so easy...Is it? Whats else can you dowith it? And your eyes shit! Even I was scared for a second..." you flushed fidgeting going all bashfull.
"Oh haha sorry for scaring you...And that was easythey were tiny holes to plug." You moved slowly following Konner and Clark to the house.
"You still gonna ask Grandma about what he did?" You nodded at him laughing.
"You bet! I wana hear about all the dumb shit he did" he smiled at you as you both made it to the kitchen. Clark had entered and was already sitting down at the table with a drink.
"Your both still grounded by the way" you pouted at him
"No fair I fixed it!" He rose a brow at you
"It wasn't about the damage, I want you both to be carefull, you were reckless and both put yourselves at risk unnecessarily so rest of the week. No phones, games or tv. No leaving the farm and you can help your Grandma and me with the chores..." you sighed and looked to konner defeated he only shrugged in responseas if to say 'nothing you can you do' you slumped down into the chair pouring yourself a glass of juice from the pitcher Konner following suit grumbling to yourselves Clark shook his head getting up placing his glass in the sink. Teenagers.

#SupermanandLois Season 1 Episode 10 "O Mother, Where Art Thou?" Episode Recap and Review
The episode begins with Morgan Edge explaining himself to Superman. He is technically Kal El’s half-brother, since they have the same mother. Morgan Edge’s real name is Tal-Ro and his father’s name is Zeta-Ro. He was also sent to Earth because Krypton was dying, but he was sent to Earth to colonize it and he was not greeted warmly. He and his father decided to take a page out of the Zod book and resurrect Krypton, using something that Lara Lor-Van, Kal-El’s mother, invented. Tal-Ro wants Superman to stand with him against the humans, but Clark says no. He doesn’t take this well and they fight.
Kyle is staring into space for obvious reasons and Lana and Sarah fight. Sarah thinks that her mom is simply covering for her dad, again, and Lana both doesn’t have any credulity with her daughter and wouldn’t know how to explain what was happening if she tried. Sarah storms out. Lana goes to talk to Kyle while ignoring Lois’s many, many phone calls.
Lois is rightly worried about her and has her father send someone over to check on her.
Clark comes back and tell Lois and the boys everything that Edge said to him. Lois tells him to do more research before she believes a word that Edge says, which he does.
He goes to the Fortress of Solitude and talks to Jor-El. Jor-El tells him that it’s possible, but that Lara would never have used her invention to destroy life as Morgan Edge is doing now. She created it as a way to preserve life in the way that Jor-El’s has been, so that their civilization would not be lost forever. Unfortunately, he doesn’t understand it enough to be any sort of help on the subject.
Jordan and Jonathan talk. Jonathan is afraid because of the footage he saw in John Henry Iron’s murder RV. He wonders if that’s how the Morgan Edge of that world got the Superman of that world to turn on humanity. Lois, who has been eavesdropping, says that’s not possible because Clark has a family in them and they come first, before anything.
Kyle and Lana talk, or at least begin to. Kyle isn’t able to get very far into his story before Lois shows up. When that happens, Kyle ceases to be Kyle and tries to choke both Lois and Lana. Lois subdues him with kryptonite and then General Lane and the D.O.D. take him away in cuffs.
Lana, Lois, and Clark share information. They need to find the machine that Morgan Edge has been using to put Kryptonian consciousnesses into humans. They call it the Eradicator. Lana pinpoints a doctor that took part in all of the physical exams for everyone in the executive program named Dabney Donovan. He’s the one that they need to find.
General Lane tries to get information out of not Kyle. When he isn’t cooperative, General Lane reveals that the cage they put him in is lined with kryptonite and reminds me of a cage that Lex Luthor built in Smallville.
Jonathan and Jordan tell Sarah the truth about her dad, or at least a version of it.
Lois and Clark talk. The only reason that Edge would give Superman time to consider his offer is if he needed that time too.
The D.O.D. found Donovan, and the Eradicator. He, unfortunately, doesn’t have much of a clue how it works. For that, they’ll need the person who invented it.
Lois and Lana enter the military zone to figure this out and Lana completely fangirls over Superman, which is adorable. Superman and General Lane that they can’t get to Superman’s mother without planting her consciousness into a willing volunteer. Lana volunteers, which is far more awkward than she realizes. Seriously, how would you feel if your ex-girlfriend volunteered to host the consciousness of your dead mother?
Lois tries to explain to Lana that this isn’t her responsibility or fault. Lana disagrees. At every turn, she has allowed someone to get hurt by Edge, including her own husband. She’s going to help fix this.
Sarah, Jordan, and Jonathan try to get in to see not Kyle. They’re unsuccessful until Jonathan goes off on General Lane again, and he lets them in. Sarah soon realizes that the man in the cage is not her father. While making a creepy villain speech, not Kyle makes it clear that he is specifically gunning for Jonathan.
Superman thanks Lana and tries to talk her out of doing what she’s about to do. It doesn’t work and she does it anyway.
And ya, it’s just as weird as you’d imagine. She explains that she was genetically matched with Zeta-Ro, but she fell in love with Jor-El and ended that relationship. Essentially, Kryptonians were heavy on genetic engineering and didn’t reproduce in the way that we would consider normal. Edge would have been created in the Kryptonian manner, simply using the parent’s genetic material, whereas Clark was birthed in the way we would consider traditional. Anyway, Clark tells Lara about Martha Kent, because she was afraid that he would grow up without a mother.
Jonathan refuses to apologize for telling Sarah the truth and sends Jordan over to comfort her.
Edge and his crony assistant realize that the Eradicator is gone and decide to enact their plan now.
Lara explains that the Eradicator works like a computer, uploading the consciousness of the Kryptonian to its host. It was never intended to subjugate a race. In order to reverse the process, everyone would have to go through the process again. They need a quicker way to do this, but they don’t have a big enough energy source. That will have to wait though, as Clark hears Edge and has to go.
Edge explains that he was not welcomed when he came to Earth. He was hunted, and hidden, and experimented on. He believes that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated. The person that would really be useful right now is Kara, but there isn’t any mention of her at all. I get that because I want this show kept as far away from that show as possible, but she also knows what it’s like to lose a world, so she might be able to get through to him. John Henry Irons will probably be the one to work in this capacity, because he tried to save the world after his was destroyed, not commit genocide.
Jordan apologizes to Sarah for missing her performance. She forgives him because she believes that she was dealing with all the craziness going on outside. That’s kind of true and so he doesn’t correct her.
Then their waiter flies out of the diner, and so do a lot of other people. This is Edge’s army and it’s coming for Clark. He flies away and they follow. He tells General Lane that he’s going to use himself as an energy resource, releasing the equivalent of a solar flare. General Lane doesn’t like it, as he’ll be out for days, but they don’t have any better ideas.
General Lane evacuates everyone. Jordan and Jonathan can’t find Sarah, who is with not Kyle, but Lois gets them out of there anyway.
It works, and it’s phenomenal. There is the little question of what happened to the people suspended in the air, but they all appear to be fine. The only people that aren’t accounted for are Edge and Clark.
Clark crawls his way to the Fortress of Solitude.
Edge reconvenes with his minion, whose consciousness has been there far too long to give up now. He still has a plan.
So wow. Wow wow wow. This show is honestly incredible, and I look forward to the next episode. What’s the rest of Edge’s plan? 8.5/10

Present Day: Clark helps 8-year-old Jon deal with his sudden development of powers similar to his father’s.
Commentary:
Superman’s origin is so iconic that Grant Morrison summed it up in just eight words: “Doomed planet. Desperate scientists. Last hope. Kindly couple.” In light of this, I see no reason to mess with a good thing. That being said, the story of Superman’s public debut has been retold with major differences four or five times now between the various Crises, and that makes things tricky to pin down.
The version I ended up writing is mostly inspired by Superman: Birthright by Mark Waid. (Sorry, anyone who’s a fan of Clark as Superboy. While I don’t hate the concept, it raises the question of “why doesn’t anyone associate Superboy and thus Superman with Clark?” it doesn’t really bring anything valuable to the table that can’t be put elsewhere in the timeline: the Legion is more associated with Supergirl in this timeline, and Krypto is moved to later on.) His post-Crisis history is mostly intact, although with a few notable omissions, mainly Superman Blue. I hope nobody will miss that too much.
Superman’s history sets the timeline for the rest of the universe - while other heroes’ origins occur before his public debut, he’s the first of the major figures of the Age of Heroes to debut, twenty years prior to the present day. The rest of the Trinity follows within a year of his appearance, along with most of the iconic Silver Age DC heroes. This Superman is forty-five years of age at the current point in the timeline: a seasoned superhero who has saved the world time and time again, but who also lives a simple life as a family man with Lois and Jon.
He may be a Kryptonian by genetics, but at his core, thanks to his upbringing from Ma and Pa Kent, he’s a human - one who happens to have to balance his extraordinary powers and responsibility to the world (wait, is this Spider-Man all of a sudden?) with his alien heritage and the complications derived from such. He’s a champion of the oppressed, standing up for the “little guy” and those who can’t defend themselves against powers both great and small. Out of the Trinity, he best embodies hope - when the situation seems at its most dire, Superman’s the one to keep the faith and rally for one last push. He’s the hero who lands on a rooftop beside someone who’s about to jump and just sits beside them while they make their decision.
As for Superman’s costume, he’s currently sporting the Reborn look, sans trunks. I’m not saying the trunks are outright bad or silly, and envision them as being part of his original costume for certain, but the costume in the header is what he currently uses in this universe.
Have any questions about Superman or anything else? My asks are open!

Open Requests: List of AU’s for the Krypto-Mari (Krytonian Marinette) AU
So, hopefully most of you know about Borne of the Stars, my MLB Kryptonian AU! It and another idea started up in my head some time ago, and I call them my Krypto AUs, for the simplicity of one being ‘Full-Krypto’ and one being ‘Krypto-Martian’. Well, turns out, now I have more!!
Who knew that when you make an idea, and it becomes your favorite, that you can end up making a lot more from it than you anticipated. Neat, huh??
Anyways! I now have a LIST! So I want to know if any of you, for any of them, would like to either, A.) hear about the idea on the list through a ‘Headcanon List’, or B.) Actually see me write something for it.
For now, they’re all ‘Full-Krypto’, so Marinette is born on Krypton and is now, well, wherever it is she is for the particular AU.
Some also have ‘Twins AU’, where Marinette and Clark are twins; her Kryptonian name for those ones will be Kia Jor-El, keeping to the theme of Kal and Kara’s names starting with K.
Now lets get to it! Either reply in comments what you want, or send in Asks/Requests for these!
The List: [ Posted on Ao3 ]
Dupain-Cheng raised - Fic In Progress (Borne of the Stars, picking this one might get you either plot reveals/spoilers, or a new chapter)
Krypto-Bat + Twins AU - Done! - Basically while Clark ended up in Smallville, she ended up in Gotham and is adopted by an already adult Bruce Wayne, around the time of either Richard or Jason being Robin already. Leads to Robin!Marinette followed by Batman!Marinette, oh dang! She also gets to be a big scary Cryptid when in costume, just saying (I already have a full timeline/headcanon list for this one, it was inevitable)
Krypto-Rogue + Twins AU - Headcanon List In Progress - This one is an alternate to Krypto-Bat where Batman failed to find Kia and is instead found by none other than Poison Ivy. Ivy enlists the help of various other Rogues, particularly when little Amaryllis, as Kia gets named, starts getting more powers and, inconveniently, none of them are plant-based. Yet, anyways...
2 Themyscira raised, Optional Twin AU:
1) Adopted by Hoppolyta, sister to Diana. Optional: Mari is ‘blood related’ to Diana, in the sense that Marinette’s blood was used in the clay that was used to create Diana, so Mari is the ‘older sister’ while having also been the physically ‘younger sister’ at the time. Optional Twin AU can implement either the Phantom Zone to cause ‘younger brother’ Clark, or more fully implement the Semi-Immortality Kryptonians have with their powers, creating an emotional, few centuries-long over-due, reunion.
2) Community raised, potentially hella-gay Diananette shipping.
2 Luthor adopted:
1) Smallville AU where she's Lex and Lena's sister
2) Felix Luthor (Son of Lex) AU with adopted sister Marinette (basically just some gremlin shenanigans, they’re both just big gremlins together)
Smallville ‘rewrite-styled’, Twins AU, Kent raised - Done!
Raised in Atlantis (implements the Kryptonian Self-Sufficiency power)
Adopted by the Agrestes
Additional Crossover - Marvel Universe
Raised in Wakanda
Raised in Asgard
Bonus - Send an Ask/Request with your own idea of where/with whom to put her, and see where I go with it! (Bonus points if either I love the heck out of it, you manage to get me to make unavoidable angst, or I create an Evil!Marinette from of it, because my mind is blanking on those two things right now (also, I totally suck at salt, but I will try, but also I might remove most salt if I can't work with it))
