Now I’m thinking about it so another fun fact I learned in Psychology was this one story of a lady who had the part of her brain connecting the two hemispheres cut to reduce her seizures, which meant that they could no longer communicate.

She was then shown a picture on a screen closer to her left side (right eye may have also been closed). When asked to describe the picture, she could only say so much (the fact that it was a woman) but couldn’t describe what the woman was doing.

She was asked to write what was happening with her right hand and both eyes closed. Then she was asked, without looking at what she wrote, what she guessed the woman was doing.

She said jump rope. 

Then she looked at what she wrote, and it read ‘telephone.’

The woman in the picture was, in fact, on the telephone.

This is because she couldn’t communicate what she saw, but because her left brain could control the right, she could write what she saw, even though she didn’t know what it was she was writing.
