Many important things are available today in the form of files. Unfortunately, only diamonds are forever. Technology evolves and file formats change over time. Digital is problem but also solution.

Making available in different ways How do you make something like pictures or texts accessible on the Internet for friends, family, people you know?

Social network without configuration   The most known. Nothing has been prepared in case of death. Everything remains unchanged.  

Advantage:    No action needed Disadvantages:    Static, ignoring the death;    No downloads of files.

Social networks with configuration

  In case of death, the new account owner can post a message about the death. But nothing new appears from the original owner.   Advantage:    Can report on the death Disadvantages:    Static, no longer personal;    No downloads of files.

Social digital vaults Specialized Long-term file storage like Postlifepreps offer fascinating access options. Any receivers can be set. Arbitrary times of publication are adjustable.  

Advantages:    Still updating. Visitors get in the future, depending on the time, something personal. For their eyes only.    Files are downloadable. Disadvantage:     The sender, thus file uploader, must think about it.

Summary: If you plan for this at times, you still have many options. Nowadays, it would be very disappointing not to have used the opportunity.
