As some of you already know, I am working on a Disenchantment Tarot Deck (Rider Waite Smith based) which is almost complete (all the 78 cards).
It's not the easiest thing to do, because all the images I am using are stills and official artworks from the cartoon, so I have to find a way to fit every image with every card in a way that makes sense. And as a professional Tarot reader, I try to be faithful and loyal to the meanings and symbolisms of the cards and also my work.
One person who told me Elfo should be The Fool (and I agree, already had a Fool card for him that I left the idea behind, but why not posting 2 representations, right?!). But the reason I choose The Jester is not only because he is literally the fool, but also unlike Elfo, Jester is not appearing everytime on the deck (there are literally 2 images on the internet where he graphically looks acceptable to be part of this deck).
I still am struggling to find a great quality picture of Malfus, I want him to be part of the deck as The Hermit, it's the only major arcana I haven't done yet because of the lack of good quality images.
You can see that there are two High Priestess. The Bean one is supposed to be a joke, because that convent moment in the episode made me cry of so much laughing, one of the most iconic moments of the whole show to me! Arch-Druidess is officially the High Priestess anyways...
I also posted two versions of The Lovers. Again, even tho I love both of them I am more of a tradicionalist. I got a picture where shows King Zog very tense in between Oona and Dagmar and to me that would be the PERFECT representation of The Lovers, but the image really did not fit the frame of the card, that's why I choose a scene between Mora and Bean. Which one did you like the most?
Let me know your thoughts so far on this work. Thank you so very much for all the attention given! <3

tarot cards and their key phrases: cups
this is just a beginners guide to the cups suit - i won't go into imagery, color use, etc. these are key phrases that come to mind when i think of the cards - NOT how they should be directly applied. they needs to be thought about situationally and the cards / when they are in combos they can change or alter their meanings of any reading.

Ten of Spells. Art by Meraylah Allwood, from the Forest of Enchantment Tarot.
In the bleak pre-dawn light, seven sister princesses make their way home after a night of dancing in the forest. Only one night has passed in the mortal world, but many nights in the faery realm where they were ensorcelled. They danced until they could dance no more, yet still they danced on, caught in the merciless spell until the night was spent. Now the sisters are utterly depleted, almost in shock. All they care about now is finding their own beds—except for the youngest. She tries to turn back, reaching out in longing, but her sister holds her fast and forces her forward. Everyone’s body language speaks of profound exhaustion and regret. The enchantment is broken.
This card signifies that your energies have been stretched far beyond their limits. The thing that gave you the most pleasure has become a burden. Your fire has burned out. Find your way back to safety and reevaluate your intentions before venturing out again.
Meaning at a Glance: Exhaustion. Burnout. Disenchantment. Regret in hindsight. Burdens too big to bear alone.
A Closer Look: The sisters’ loosened hair symbolizes wantonness and reckless abandon.

Tarot
thinking about weird girls, and how they always want to do tarot readings, and how I would always get the tower, until I got the hierophant.
thinking about automobiles, autokinetes, and ipsomobiles, and that, at the end of the day, we all drive cars.
thinking about a once poet whose unsolicited critic told her she shouldn’t write about anything she hadn’t actually experienced.
thinking about rules in language and poetry, and how desperately they are clung onto by people who cannot break them well enough to make them.
thinking about cute boobs (that’s your fault).
thinking about clusterfucking your mental space, because when we kiss you use your hands better than I would.
thinking about the age of disenchantment, and how everyone should, because creativity, and inventivity, as of now, are the first casualties of the lecturing streamlining an all too soon adulthood.
thinking about the sound ‘oo’, and the love-hate relationship I’ve established with my rhyming mind.
thinking about patterns, and how much I love to break them, once distinguished, as the most fun about being sentient and self-determined is orchestrating chaos.
thinking about how life started at tearing down the Berlin wall, and how it ended at Lewinski blowing Clinton.
how I want people to differentiate between ‘at’ and ‘when’.
Goethe was on team ipsomobile.
thinking about towers, and my every all imagined underground hermit den, and how towers are infinitely better, because the atmosphere isn’t as cold and damp.
thinking about that weird girl, and how she lay down the hierophant to a tower, and how she explained I had great wisdom in me.
thinking about irony.
thinking about the rules, patterns, and differentiation, applied when distinguishing reality.
thinking about a weird girl’s hug, tight, as if never letting go; tighter than I had ever been held before, at a time wherein I was pre-occupied, ogling the last train home.
thinking about places to sleep: towers, dens, homes.
thinking about the weird girl. --- 9-12-2022, M.A. Tempels ©

This is my first foray into posting work from Disenchantment (2018-Present). These Tarot designs were generated by Ululu’s internal art department. Ululu is the producing company for Disenchantment. It’s rare that the producing company has a separate art department from the animation studio’s (Rough Draft Studios in this case), however, Ululu’s roots are as Bongo, Matt Groening’s comic book wing. In fact, Ululu has taken over Bongo’s studio space in Santa Monica. It now houses the Disenchantment Brain Trust of Matt and all the writer/producers who toil on the series. The 14 Tarot cards are seen fleetingly in the Disenchantment episode I directed, “Freak Out!” Episode 25 (formally known as “Elfo The Freak”) written by Josh Weinstein. The Tarot cards are lovingly designed–so in this spirit–I post them now so we can see them still.

Hello! I love all the (S)images you share! It’s so nice to see them when I miss my TS2 so much. Unfortunately my system is too recent for TS2 and it’s impossible to play without pink flashes or crashes (currently many simmers experience this and no solution yet...) I was wondering what your computer specs are. Which windows version and what graphics card you have. Thank you for sharing beautiful sims with us :)
Thank you! That’s very sweet of you, and also I’m stealing the term (s)images immediately. :D
tbh, I’m not the best person for this question, since my method for dealing with pink flashing currently is to ignore it if it’s happening infrequently or just sigh and play Stardew Valley instead.
I have Windows 10 and a GTX 1050 Ticard, and I actually don’t really recommend the combo for TS2? But mostly because Windows 10′s fall creators update last year pretty much tripled what pink flashing I did have and I’m still sour about it, even though I’ve fixed it back to its normal, relatively infrequent level. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The key with keeping TS2 running kinda well on new systems seems to be a combo of downloading/making a ton of fixes and managing how intense your graphics are in game. I love me some super hi-res textures and using them everywhere and keeping the hood view set to extra-large and everything, but the game seems to get sick of displaying them after a while, especially in populated neighborhoods. There’s kind of a trade-off between making the game look super shiny and having it like… function.
TheJessaChannel made a great video on patching and fixing everything; for me, the memory allocation fix she talks about is what had the greatest positive impact after the dreaded fall creators update. MaraSims also has a post here about reducing flashing and crashes, and 2FingersWhiskey has a video with a lot of great info too.
This is probably only useful to me people who have 50 tabs open on Firefox and insist on keeping it open while playing, but I find my game crashes/flashes less when I don’t have Firefox running. Firefox + having been watching Youtube or Netflix in it earlier = crashy flashy time for me. But, like, what am I going to do, not watch Netflix while I build like a pleb?

life
not sure how to start this off but i guess (-: hello would suffice. if you’re taking the time to read this - i hope that you are well! i wanted to share a bit of personal info before i move onto the astrology order of business. this year...mmm. much of my life has been on a major pause for the past few years, for numerous reasons, and i am happy to say that those circumstances finally improved this year! that has been the biggest feat for this year, even though the process of getting here has been anything but a smooth transition - from theft to death, it has been idk...i hate so much of this year because although i gave the forewarning that you should be wise to listen to your intuition this year, i did not pay heed to my own. funnily enough though i knew that with such a heavy emphasis on tests this year that i was probably gonna fail because i am the worst tester, i always have been! but in me making such terrible decisions that have gone against what i know to be so i have realized that lmao yes i’ve made mistakes this year and it’s the closest i’ve come to experiencing regret, but it’s because i don’t give myself enough credit. when i read the cards for myself and my own issues, all these expectations come through that i’m not aware of because of how ingrained they are i suppose. i’ve scared myself this year tbh because i’ve felt so far gone and i’m a capricorn so i do like to take pride in my ability to overcome but my detachment to life has regressed to me having no drive, no hope, and those are the main ingredients to overcoming. i didn’t know that i had internalized such severe expectations and i didn’t know that i had become concerningly impassive, & from what i am assuming is because of the disappointment of it all (it being life? reality??) yet i am aware that it is in part because of the situations i have put myself in while the rest is really a matter of circumstance combined with poor coping. anyhow, all this to say that because of this time of brutal disenchantment i have been trying to become more assured in my own abilities and dare i say, confident!
astrology/tarot
the beginning of the year ended up being an absolute disaster, as we all know, but in my own life, aside from that, was...gosh, delay after delay in a way that totally put me out. ended up being the worst time ever to decide to have paid readings, after all this time too!!! but we live and we learn and we try to adapt. this time i would like to pursue readings and have it be more customizable in the sense that i would prefer there to be a discussion beforehand! that way i can look into anything specific and also have it be more personalized. since this way will be more thorough and dependent on the person and their situation, i will be taking on less readings so that i don’t end up spreading myself thin. if this year has taught me anything (it’s taught me a lot, too much perhaps?), clearly life likes to take the reigns sometimes and since i do want to give the best i can - i’ll end up overwhelming myself trying to and mess will ensue. i am still working on the revised version of my astrology book in the meantime so it will be nice to have the chance to incorporate and also learn more by doing so. this past year i have predicted a few things for people close to me and even i was surprised that i could do so, which shouldn’t be the case?? i’ve practiced this, astrology namely, for years and years?? but in these specific instances i was surprised that i could give an estimation in regards to timing because usually i can tell someone in general when something was coming (i predicted the year that a friend would enter into her first serious relationship!) but i never really tried to give a more exact estimation of when something could be happening (such as beginning/middle/end of x month). i attempted it this year and they were accurate?? again, why i am so surprised?? lol. i’m not saying i am an expert of 100000 trades but i am experienced and credible, proudly so too. thank you to all of you who have followed over the years and have trusted and/or expressed your faith in my abilities because that has always been and will continue to be a point of reassurance
if you would ever like to inquire about a paid reading then pls feel free to send an ask and we will discuss what it is you are wanting to know and what i can look into for you (astrology, tarot, both) so that i can provide you with answers to the best of my ability

Disenchantment Tarot Deck (part 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello again! As promissed, here are the new Tarot cards I made based on the Disenchantment universe, from Strenght to Temperance this time (:
I made two versions of Death card. Honestly, I'd love to have Stan as Death better than just skulls from a random scenario, because that guy is responsible for making some heads roll, but I am having a hard time to find great high quality images for him to be in this deck. As long as I don't find a nice image, I'll stick with the skull version for aesthetics reasons.
Not only that, it's great to add more chatacters to the deck, and from what I have created so far, Stan does not fit anything more than the Death Arcana. Also, I am in search of a better image for Malfus as the Hermit, this might not be the final results of this card.
I am using the Remini program to each image so some screenshots looks more acceptable to be used in a Tarot deck more than just looking like a crappy screenshot (like the Strenght card as an example), so the final results is gonna look A LOT better than what I am showing here right now.
I am LOVING to read every thoughts you guys are sharing, whether it is an encouragement, joyful comments or critics/suggestions. As a person who likes to polish my work, every single opinion counts. Thank you so much!
So, what do you think of these new cards?
Edit: already correct the Strength misspell

Again and again I keep coming back to The High Priestess as a representation of poetry and art. We search for answers through the creative process, yet when we try too hard to analyze the final result, sometimes all we find are more questions or a sense of disenchantment. When we let intuition lead and give the mysteries room to breathe, we are gifted with more insight than we might think.

Siren Songs Tarot Card Pull for Scorpio by Diane Ferraro, Urban Siren
Tumblr media
Pisces Season February 18 - March 19 2021
There is no rush, Scorpio. There is truly never any rush (I know how you despise feeling rushed) so when Eight of Wands appears for you this season, it’s not about making things happen, but rather allowing things to happen. As a water sign, you’re in good company in Pisces season and with the moon by your side, you may feel more comfortable than you have been in quite some time. You can let your guard down, take a deep breath and feel supported in your choices, dreams and aspirations. It’s understandable to feel somewhat wary of the ease in which plans will develop and come to fruition: you’re so keen when it comes to seeing through the mystery though it can be difficult for you to trust yourself, let alone others. Rest assured you’ve got the tools to handle whatever might arise, and more than that, all your hard work is paying off tenfold. You’ll see plans come to fruition that up until recently you all but abandoned as hopeless. As you watch this season’s events unfold, you might feel a renewed sense of excitement and commitment to investing in yourself once again after a labored stretch of disenchantment. Your world will feel magical once again, almost like an early Spring has breathed new life into your heart. And your passions will well up in your Soul effortlessly, and you will follow their seductive call, as easy as a breeze through parted lips, and you’ll hear Yes...again and again and again.

Weekend Horoscopes for March 27th, 28th, & 29th
This weekend there’s an energy of love, abundance, and intense transformation. Take this energy into literal form and bake something. Watch ingredients transform into something decadent right before your eyes.
Also note that you may begin to feel your spirits lift, but with this relief you also have an eye for discernment. You’re making a mental list of how your life is going to be different once things get back to “normal”.
hearts & stars,
Devin
Aries
With everything that’s going on, it’s hard to imagine that this is an incredibly abundant time for you, but it is. Just know that this involves you making a clear change. You’re turning a corner you can never come back to.
Taurus
You understand the truth in taking pleasure seriously. It props you up when times get rough. This weekend it’s about weathering the storm from your silver cloud, and floating up to the next level of luxury, even if it’s as simple as taking a peaceful nap.
Gemini
Just as the Death card in Tarot doesn’t mean literal death, this weekend you’re walking through the fire to get to a new place in your life. You won’t be able to return to your old stomping grounds, but it’s for the best.
Cancer
Make a wish when it comes to love this weekend. Get creative about a social distancing date night. In order to meet the vision that you have for love and abundance coming into your life, you must be willing to become that version of your imagined self. Just agreeing to do so makes all the difference.
Leo
Sometimes you depend on the reactions of others to make decisions about your life. This weekend, simply be inspired by what you find to be beautiful and let this feeling guide you.
Virgo
At this time, with all this confusion in the world, you find more truth in the stories you tell and the art you create. Know that this isn’t just healing for you, but for others who are yearning for you to share it with them.
Libra
“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in” sang Leonard Cohen. This is your personal “Anthem” for the weekend. Sometimes your base needs to rupture, not for you to falter, but for you to witness the deep beauty of your soul.
Scorpio
Ooh la la. There may be a sexy someone who you can’t quite meet up with because of social distancing, but over the weekend they’re very much wanting to take things to the next level over the phone. It’s about the beauty of communicating commitment.
Sagittarius
It may feel strange with everything going on, but you’re suddenly feeling incredibly abundant. Maybe it’s because you’re finally settling into your new normal, maybe it’s because it’s the weekend. Maybe a little of both.
Capricorn
You find this weekend that creativity and passion not only feel fulfilling, but transport you to another level of deep knowing about yourself. This is a time to dream big while keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground. Both are possible at the same time.
Aquarius
It actually works out that the majority of us are staying in this weekend, as this is exactly what your chart is calling you to do. Be gentle with yourself, as you sit in the silence of being home, old disenchantments will rise up. Check that you’re in a stable place to examine these situations like the complicated crystals each one is in your life. You have the power to conquer them.
Pisces
This weekend it’s about keeping a balance of speaking about what you’re grateful for, and also what you have sudden disdain towards. Often you simply allow yourself to feel things, which is important. However, you may be surprised what manifests when you choose to voice your opinions in the world.

I gave myself a tarot reading using my much loved Barbara Walker deck. Here’s what I think about these cards (which feel frighteningly accurate, haha):
CARD 1: THE PRESENT
King of Wands: Valraven. “Under a crown of shamrocks (one of the symbols of the Holy Trinity) the king listens to his messenger, the black bird of magic speech.” Masculine fire energy that is at peace with the mysteries of the Triple Goddess through the use of ceremonial “castration” in an attempt to mimic menstrual blood. According to Walker, in a Chukchi variant, the Great God Raven acquired feminine secrets by pulverizing his own penis and feeding it to the Cosmic Mother, Miti. Thus the Raven King is credited with a lustful, energetic, active nature without any of the tropes of toxic masculinity … or at least that is the goal.
CARD 2: THE CHALLENGE
The Papess. “The female spiritual authority sits between her temple pillars, Alpha and Omega, with an open book on her lap. The Keys of the Kingdom lie before her; a veil hangs behind.” The Magician in the Rider-Wait deck. In Gnostic faith the Papess embodies Enlightenment and provides absent sky-god with “I-deas” (literally, female spirits) and ability to act. Much like Shakti, the Papess is linked with the moon, which was once thought to give women their life-producing “wise blood.” Only through (re)search, teaching and revelations are we able to enter the temple of Wisdom that runs through our bodies.
CARD 3: THE PAST
Six of Cups: Childhood. “Naked and vulnerable, a child returns to the awesome Great Mother. Hidden memories of childhood impelled the ancients to visualize their divine ancestors as giants, which is how every child sees adults. Therefore the primal Great Mother was a giantess, a mountain, or a pyramidal tombwomb, in humanity’s legendary Golden Age, when law was based on maternal blood bonds.” Such a psychic return means touching upon deep memories, confronting old traumas and pain. How we deal with lost love, both amorem venereum and familia, speaks to how we deal with our spiritual condition since, at a very basic level, the soul is love. My parents, who freely admit that perhaps one of the reasons I was learning disabled was due to Shaken Baby Syndrome, arrive tomorrow for a week-long visit. The past has never been safe.
CARD 4: THE FUTURE
Ten of Swords: Ruin. “The divine hero-martyr dies bound to his pillar on a bleak seacoast, attended by the black-clad priestess and her bird of doom.” In Walker's version of the card, Cúchulainn (whose name means Culann's Hound), is a Celtic god and antihero, a child born from a holy virgin, sentenced to his ceremonial death by Macha (alternative names for Morgan and Mab, the Queen of the Dead). Misfortune, desolation, martyrdom and pain are Cúchulainn's rewards for failing to recognize the Triple Goddess' divinity.
CARD 5: ABOVE
Princess of Wands: Atargatis. “Floating between sun and moon, the Sea goddess represents both giving and taking, her traditional breast-offering pose countered by the dangerous, devouring vagina dentata. Like other forms of the Middle Eastern Goddess. Atargatis/ Astarte/ Anahit/ Ishtar stood for both nurture and destruction.” Her card symbolizes overwhelming power, a dangerous obsession, represented by the trickster spider. Though hazardous and often leading to chaos and ruin, her path also brings reward in the aftermath to the ones who follow her.
CARD 6: BELOW
Four of Cups: Decline. “On the night of the seventh veil, a king sits apprehensively watching the sacred Dance of Seven Veils as performed by the high priestess Salome (Salom, Peace) in Jerusalem (the House of Salom).” In ancient cyclic philosophies, each period of fulfillment was followed by a period of decline. The Goddess suffers the death of her mortal lover and follows him into the the land of the dead to claim him back. As in Oscar Wilde's play, Salome removes one of her magic veils at each of the underworld’s seven gates. In Walker's card the fourth cup has been overturned, symbolizing oncoming of old age, fading away into the shadows, disenchantment; all the possible negativity one might find at the end of one's life's cycle.
CARD 7: HOPES AND FEARS
Six of Swords: Passage. “Six ghostly warriors cross the black river Styx to enter the underworld gate, guarded by its silent Goddess, the giant Sphinx.” In Walker's notes concerning this card she states that the Styx in the underworld was often seen as a river of blood leading to (and sometimes from) the Goddess’s womb. I remember reading Lloyd Alexander's Prydain-series as a child which featured the Black Cauldron of Welsh myth; a magic tool where the souls of the fallen were regenerated. As the boat nears the shore a figure on the riverbank can be seen holding up a torch, but it is impossible to determine whether the light is a form of greeting or warning. While it is tempting to interpret this card simply as positive forward movement, it can also indicate nervous unease, as passages through the dark tend to be when the future is unknowable and everything is at stake.
CARD 8: OUTCOME
The Moon. “Two dogs howl at a full moon ringed by nine drops of blood. A path leads between two pillars into darkness. A crab perches in the middle of a dark pool. Dogs traditionally guard the gate of death, which leads to the moon. It was once thought all souls went to the Moon-mother to be regenerated. Hence the blood drops: one for each menstrual 'hidden moon-blood' period.” This card ties together with the Papess' “wise blood,” which is directly connected to lunar influences. According to Walker the crab is a symbol of death for those who believed doomsday would arrive when the planets lined up in the constellation of Cancer, the Crab. For many the Moon card points to a crisis of faith, the Gnostic's dark night of the soul.
