Ranking the Xenoblade Games based on how straight they are

this is a mix of legitimate grievances about the writing and just goofing around. starting at least straight to most. Also not including X sorry I havent played it.

1. Xenoblade 2

Most of the romance in this game is light due to it being a sort of cute puppy love. Nothing actually happens between the characters and it’s mostly contained to the main characters with most side characters being free from clumsy straight love plots. There’s a couple of blushy scenes between Pyra/Mythra and Rex but most of their serious/emotional interactions are genuine and honest and don’t really get into romance or some hidden feelings they need to confess to. Even Nia’s confession is more of something for herself and she never really changes bc she’s in love or focuses on it that much. 

Beyond the main characters, sheba exists, jin and lora can be considered one sided at least romantically (she’s the one to make flirty comments in Torna and he always responds along the lines of ???) and he’s explicitly not motivated by her death, while it did obviously impact him it’s something he’d accepted and used as fuel for his ultimate goal. and of course there’s Malos, who’s own voice actor was like “cmon he was in love with Jin”. Morag and Brighid also exist. There’s even some old man furry yaoi implications with gramps and azurda in that one scene??? ngl its kind of cute. 

2. Xenoblade 3

Got a lot of points in the heteronormative category here. The main characters are paired up in m/f duos, but while 2/3 of them are romantically coded, Sena and Lanz aren’t really and Sena’s most focused relationship is probably Mio. To the game’s credit, it also doesn’t restrict them to these pairs and lets the whole group interact and have friendships and dynamics outside of the shippy ones. 

An emphasis is put on the true nature of humanity being to fall in love and have kids, but considering the context of the scene only certain parts of it really make me go “mmmmmm”. these characters are test tube babies who have never seen a real human baby and so it’s wholesome and understandable, but Monica’s wording about specifically couples later does lean towards heteronormative “everyone must grow up and have a kid.” Considering she canonically had a teenage pregnancy though and her baby daddy clearly isn’t around I expect she’s very shaped by that experience though. 

After that scene we don’t see a ton of heteronormative sentiment from city members (Ghondor, Shania, and Masha dont have any romantic sentiments, grey and rozana dont have kids and have a rather atypical but trusting relationship in general) and the focus on legacy and family is shown to have its toxic sides with Shania’s mom (who is also just. no 1 messed up lesbian in my heart).

Mio and Noah do start to have their characters focus more on romance and have their whole doomed soulmates shtick but I feel like they’re still given focus as individual characters in the main story post that revelation so I kind of forgive it, and the unhealthiest possible manifestation of their relationship is one of the main villains so. Also ngl they’re just cute, so I’m a bit biased here. I get if you’re groaning at the game pushing the main straight couple hard but at least they don’t suddenly lose all their personality when it happened. 

3. Xenoblade 1

Hoo boy. There’s just a lot of it in this game. Ngl it took me a while to properly get into Xenoblade bc while I liked the first game overall, it also just had some things that rubbed me the wrong way and 2′s general reputation didn’t make it seem much better (then I played it and fell in love and retroactively appreciate 1 more but yeah) and one of those things was how the game very quickly fridged the only female character as a love interest. Yaaaaay. 

Like yes she comes back later but at the time I was just kinda like. oh. ok then :/ and even when Fiora comes back, she’s super Shulk focused. Girl, you’ve been kidnapped and forcibly made into a cyborg and house a god who was walking around in your body but ig you’re mostly thinking about how your bf would feel. seriously when she’s fucking DYING her main concern is that Shulk doesn’t find out. like ok. Even her interactions with melia have that whole love triangle hanging over them as subtext. I greatly appreciate they didn’t got he jealousy angle and had Fiora genuinely want to reach out and be friends, but it does definitely feel like shulk is a matter constantly lingering whenever they talk.

And poor Sharla man. Seconds into meeting reyn she’s comparing him to her missing fiancé, despite still feeling he’s alive and wanting to find him. The game gives every hint that Gadolt may still be alive and rescuable, Meyneth even says smth like “I can feel this Homs still there” but not only does he die, he basically says “take care of her” to reyn like BOY you don’t know this man??? why would you say your last words to him and not your fiancé like ok. It felt like they wanted to make it “ok” for them to get together by killing him off and having him say that, even though everything until then had hinted with a hopeful tone that he could still be saved.

Ngl Melia’s unrequited love isn’t that bad but it does feel unnecessary considering how much she already suffers. Like you just really gotta rub it in huh. The fandom is wayyy worse about it than the game though, because canonically she moves on and is still surrounded by her friends and subjects and whatnot and doesn’t become some bitter scorned lover, but the fandom constantly jokes about it/acts like she is.

also some of the alt outfits, esp Sharla and Fiora’s are just...very obnoxious sexy fantasy armor. esp for flora when most of her body is supposed to be replaced with mechon parts but ig her tits were miraculously intact. They both deserve better writing ngl.

most likely happened because Sero would be making fun of you

“baby i’m really sorry, you have to believe me,” he said as he grabs a hold of your hand. you look up at him. you could see that he was genuinely sorry. “please! i’ll do anything just please, forgive me.” he practically begs. anything? you think to yourself. a smirk creeps upon your face as you slipped your hand out of his hold. “anything you say?” you cross your arms over your chest. he rapidly nods in response. the perfect punishment pops into your head.

“no sex for three weeks.” you say blandly. Sero’s heart stops. “n-no what?” he stutters. he’s wondering if his ears heard correct. there was no possible way that you could say that to him. that was something that you would never put him through right? wrong! “no. sex. for. three. weeks.” Sero falls to his knees. he looks up at you like a hurt puppy. “baby no, don’t do this to me. i’m sorry. what i did was wrong, completely wrong. just please, i’m begging you. don’t do this.” his eyes somewhat glossy feeling his emotions go crazy. he couldn’t even think about the amount of torture that he would be put through. there was no way that he was gonna last for that long. “you should thought about that before daddy.” you tease lowly as you caress his cheek. you then walk off and leave him there to mope.

the whole three weeks were straight hell for Sero. he was super horny. he would always apologize and tell you he’s sorry everyday, asking you to let up in his punishment. that didn’t work and he would just sulk for the entire rest of the day. all he wants to hold you in his arms again and make you scream his name. when the three weeks were finally up he didn’t waste anytime. right after school he took you straight to his dorm and fucked you so hard that you were limping the next day. “baby, you’ve had me waiting for way to long.”

let’s all think about how this all started first...

this started because Kirishima would promise you that he’d take you out on a date

when he practically harrasses you on the way back to the dorms , you finally tell him what’s up

“you stood me up Kirishima.”

that’s when he finally realized

“oh my god, y/n, baby i’m sorry. i didn’t mean to make you upset baby. Bakugo asked me to go with him somewhere yesterday and i didnt remember.” he rambles. you really didn't have a care in the world for what he was saying, your just upset that he stood you up for that his friend, Bakugo any less.

“so Bakugo is more important than me?” you roll your eyes. “baby of course not! what kind of stupid question is that?!” you let out a ‘hm’ and searched through your tv for something to watch. Kirishima grabbed a hold of your hand and make eye contact with you. “baby, i’m really sorry. i understand if your mad at me and i will accept my punishment.” punishment? you weren’t thinking of any punishments, you just are upset with him. but since he mentioned, you guess it’s best that you come up with one.

suddenly an idea pops into your brain. “how about no sex for three weeks?” you say with a innocent smile. Kirishima’s body froze. “babe... what’d you just say?” he asked you. you chuckled slightly. “i said, no sex for three weeks.” you leaned forward and place a light kiss on his lips. he wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer to him, moving his head to the crook of your neck. “baby, you don’t mean that right?” he whisper against your skin, teeth light grazing the area. you almost shudder at the feeling, but you have to keep it together. “yes i do. and it starts right now.” you said and pushed him away.

Kirishima had never been in so much pain. he felt like he was gonna die. honestly for the whole three weeks, his whole demeanor was changed. he wasn’t as cheerful. he’d try everyday to get you to give up; grabbing your thigh under the table, kissing lightly on your neck, grabbing your ass even. unfortunately for him, that didn’t work. when it finally came to the last day of the punishment, he could not hold in his anticipation. he’d just skip school with you fuck you all day, literally all day. “you are really in for it love.”

Denki Kaminari

what he didn’t talk about was being with her instead of Sero. her as in Jirou

you found out through Sero’s slip up at lunch the next day

“yesterday was crazy, we should definitely do it again!” Kirishima cheered as he ate his lunch

“i still can’t believe that you guys took Jirou instead of me.” he rolled his eyes

“you didn’t go Sero?” you questioned the boy, he shook his head and narrowed his eyes toward Kaminari

“because of that punk over there!” he pointed

you look over to your boyfriend with raised eyebrows

“you said that you went with Sero babe. you lied to me?” you said calmly as you tried your best to keep your composure

the table was dead silent. so was Kami. he didn’t say anything. or make a move

you just shook your head and got up.

“unbelievable.”

“can’t believe you lied.” you said as you sat on your bed and stare at Kaminari. pure guilt shows on his face. you scoff as he doesn’t say a word. you are so mad at him, you don’t even wanna see him right now. “get out Kami. don’t talk to me.” you point to the door of your room. he opens his mouth to say something but you cut him before he cannot. “oh, and on top of that, your punishment for lying to me is no sex for three weeks, now get out.” you pushed him out your room and slam your door.

he didn’t even get to say anything. he really didn’t mean to lie you, it’s never his intention to hurt you. but for some reason which is unknown to him, he just didn’t want you to know about Jirou. it makes him feel so bad. for the entire next week you avoid him and the rest of the boys. anytime he was near you, you walk away. his heart was broken.”baby, please talk to me. i’m sorry. baby.” he called from outside your door. you sigh, getting up from your bed going over to open the door. “yes?”

no words were exchanged. he pulled you into a hugged walking towards your bed. “Kami what are you-” up you were cut of by Kaminari kissing you. you kissed back, wrapping your arms his neck to pull him closer. you missed this. his hands roamed over your body down to your legs. he lightly squeezed them before wrapping them around his hips. “i missed you so much y/n. i’m really sorry about what happened.” he said pulling away from the kiss. he moved to your neck. you let out a soft sigh before closing your eyes. wait, i’m not supposed to be doing this you thought. “wait.” Kaminari looked up at you confused. “you’re still on your punishment.” Kaminari whined and put his head back in your neck before saying, “baby~ please i’m sorry!” you only chuckled and pulled him away from your body. “two more weeks baby.”

by the time the two were over he was ready. he was not going to waste no time. you could literally feel that the whole day he was watching you. eyes following your every move like predator watching it’s prey. touching you nonstop, hands wondering over your body anytime there was an opportunity. when the last bell ran he rushed. picking you up and going all the way to his room. “baby i’ve been waiting for this for so long.”

Fumikage Tokoyami

you were in school you didn’t wanna get caught and get in trouble

this is gonna be easy. or so Tokoyami thought. two weeks in and he can’t sleep. it’s been too long for him. he can’t go any longer. he tries everything that he can to break you. he wants you to give in. “baby, i need you.” he would whisper in your ear. you would only laugh and push him away saying “boy bye.”

Summary: Walking dogs with the love of your life

Word count: 1.3k

You don't know what compelled you to let him have the little lap dogs to walk, or why you choose the biggest one, the heavy set lab, only 6 months old, dragging you around like a rope.

You two volunteered to walk the dogs at the shelter so they could get their kennels cleaned, you immediately finding the dogs that matched yourself personality, hyper and uncontrollable waiting to be ‘freed’ from the room.

The yellow lab, named honeybun, wouldn't leave your side, slapping his paw at you trying to get your attention, you immediately cooing at how cute he was.

“Hirooo, look how cute he is'' you said, batting your eyelashes at your boyfriend. You often day dreamed about adopting them all, getting a piece of land big enough to let them play in your yard, to which he supported saying, “let me get through vet school first” being in his fifth year.

You've been lucky to know him so long, becoming friends in middle school after you consoled him about his mistake in volleyball practice, not being able to walk by someone so noticeably but not visibly distraught, sitting beside him and letting him talk it out, noticing he doesn’t react well to disappointments.

 He confessed to you in your 3rd year of highschool after you realized you liked him, then distancing yourself from him for a few weeks before he knew what was wrong. It happened to be some tv drama shit of him catching you in the rain after not seeing you for a whole two weeks, running up to you, to which you started running the other way before he caught you by your wrist and dragged you into him, your two making eye contact until the tension led you two to kiss, with the rain still falling, painting a perfect picture.

Being his friend first also came with the perk of meeting his family as friends, not lovers, which you were glad because they didn't mind friends but seeing that his family was so influential, they'd probably choose someone of the same class to set him up with.

But when he announced you two were dating they welcomed you with open arms, already loving you, his sister now calling you her sister in law officially, doing it to you behind his back before you two were dating, making you avoid his eyes for the rest of the day.

In fact she was the one who convinced Hirugami that you liked him, and that's why you were shying away from him, ultimately leading to your relationship. Bless her.

You turned your head to look at him snuggling up in the corner with the pomeranian and the pug, the two being inseparable, him already making up his mind on who to walk first. You wondered how you got so blessed.

He was such a pretty man, such a good person inside and out. You knew that he had admirers besides you, and you dont blame them. I mean looking at him right now, playing with the little dogs on his lap was enough to send your heart into overdrive. 

You sometimes let your worries get to you, thinking he was with another person due to his mutable nature, even though he has given you no reason to believe that. But he always proved you wrong, putting you first, paying attention to no one except you, you being the sun to his earth. 

You were brought back to reality by honeybun’s paw slapping you once again accompanied by a whine this time, letting you know he was getting impatient.  

“Are you ready honey?” you said in a baby voice, not being able to contain yourself due to his cuteness.

 You grabbed his leash, hooking it onto his collar along with Hirugami doing the same, the two of you walk out, him holding the door for you while you get borderline dragged by the big puppy you were walking. Him holding back his laugh, trying not to get his ass beat by you later.

You tried to walk alongside him, but you failed. Honeybun being distracted by every little thing, pulling you along with him. Everything in the park was interesting, the leaves falling were interesting, the sticks on the ground were interesting, the water bowl on the ground was interesting, he pulled you once again, Your arm was definitely going to feel sore tomorrow.

He finally stopped to pee, giving you a break. Turning your head to see your boyfriend behind you, a smile on his face as he walks closer to you with the little dogs sticking by his side. Lucky him. 

Suddenly you felt you arm get pulled again but this time it was much stronger, so strong that it dragged you off your feet, you letting go of the leash, trying to see what this was all about, until you saw honeybun chasing a squirrel the fastest you ever seen him run. Luckily the park was fenced it.

You heard a mumbled giggle, followed by a laugh that he wasn't even trying to hide anymore.

“Ow” you started, standing up wiping your butt. “That's not funny” you continued, putting on a facade, your pout backing it. Did it hurt, yes. Did you care, no. But you wouldn't let him get away from it without babying you.

You loved how he took care of you, and he loved taking care of you just as much. If you didn't want to do something yourself, he would gladly do it. Your demure side coming out when he did, your innocent eyes gazing at him, putting you in an almost half-ass subspace.

He whistled and ultimately got honeybun back taking the leash in his hand, the yellow dog sniffing your butt, noticing your hurt, “You want me to take him?” he asks, rubbing your back. You look at honeybun, him sitting and his puppy eyes coming out almost in a form of sorry. 

“Nah im good, as long as you'll be a good boy” you said, bending down enough to be eye level with the dog.

You two walked back to the shelter together, hand in hand this time. Honeybun trying his best not to get distracted. The little dogs still sticking by his side until they got back to their kennels. You two said goodbye to them, the little dogs enjoying the praise and petting, and then in the end getting to honeybun, him shoving his face into your neck, giving you kisses everywhere, thanking god you didn't have any makeup on right now, then switching his attention to hirugami doing the same. You two got up and said goodbye to the workers, waving at the dogs one last time.

“I miss them already” you said walking out of the building, sad that you couldn't adopt them all right now, he unsurprisingly felt the same.

“Pinky promise love, we'll get them all one day, with a big yard just like you want” he said wrapping his finger around yours, making your heartbeat a little faster, hoping that day would soon come.

You two drove home, the both of you loving staying indoors excited to finally rest. You ordering take out with “daddy's money” and some cheap wine from the gas station, putting on some romcom that y'all were flaming the whole time.

You two were laughing at every scene, making you choke on your food leading to him slapping the shit out of your back making it go away, eventually.

Saying something along the lines of “vet and med school are similar, i know what i'm doing”. To which you disagree because that one time you had a pregnancy scare, his first thought was to get an ultrasound instead of taking a pregnancy test. Luckily you weren’t.

Your eyes got heavy, your head now resting on his chest, the food being long gone, along with him caressing your body giving you forehead kisses every once in a while, putting you in a trance. 

You were so lucky, having a spiritual and physical connection with him, emotionally bonding every chance you got. Not being afraid to express your wants and fantasies, knowing that he loved you unconditionally. You felt like you were in a dream, and you never wanted to wake up.

• pretty sure they burned a pair of pedophiles in the comics. at least i think thats what those panels were insinuating. "lets open an orphanage and have an endless supply of kids to--" sounds pretty red-flaggy to me tbh. plus they were the villains so, eh?

• bludgeoned a bear to death until its skull was pulp because it insulted their special interest. you go, Pyro.

• for a few bits in the comics they have a really cute family dynamic going on with other Mercs, Soldier for example."Miss Pauling, Pyros on my side of the car." "Miss Pauling, Pyro cut off my hand." fuckin' cuties.

• when they start putting on like 50 shirts to keep warm in the Russian mountains. chubby.

• a gas mask that can function as both badass, and completely adorable.

look I'm sorry, I love Soldier and he was gonna be tied with Pyro but that fucking puppy drawing sold me.

• absolute gold every second he speaks. he could sneeze and i'll laugh.

• such a dumbass you cant get annoyed at him for it. like. just agree with him and move on. no point reasoning with a boulder. "haha! silly Miss Pauling, thinking theres different types of blood." Medic: "haha yes! indeed, silly."

• i'm not American and even i can see how blatantly his character mocks stereotypical Patriotic Americans™. but its so dumb and laughable, its adorable.

• he's a drunk guy who blows shit up for shits and giggles and god I wish I could too, sounds like a miracle stress-reliever.

• his sassy black scottish mother. combining the stereotypical black mother with the stereotypical scottish mother is literally the best thing that ever happened.

• the bit in the comic where Medic explains that Demo can't remember what happened to his eye bc he scooped out part of his brain, and the look on Demo's face. just. the look.

• isn't actually Australian. thats like one of the biggest twists in the comic. "no wonder i was never inhumanly strong and my chest hair didn't grow into the shape of Australia!!" Classic.

• says "bugger" a lot and i love that word

Chapter One

Park Jimin- Anorexia

♥Smut Warning♥

Namjoon watched as Park Jimin walked alone down the empty hallway.

It was after school hours and Jimin still had some extra studio time. Namjoon, however, was only there to watch the younger male. Observe the way he acted before building up enough courage to speak to him. Namjoon would seem like a psychopath if an outsider had seen him.

He had the school’s file on Park Jimin in hand, watching from the darker end of the hallway waiting for the boy to finish dancing. Only now was a bit different than any other time.

Now, Namjoon was noticing how small the boy really was. Okay, he was always really small, but his weight. He’s only 39 kilograms! That is not at all healthy. He looked through the glass and saw the younger with tight shorts on and no shirt. This child was thin as all hell and Namjoon knew the boy would only get smaller.

If he didn't do anything to stop it now, Jimin would only get worse and eventually die. Namjoon knows this, but he was still waiting.

Waiting for what? Jesus, he doesn't even know.  

Namjoon, while building his confidence, began dozing off. This was not good on either end. Jimin could find him, the file could be spotted by a janitor. So many things could happen. But Namjoon had stayed up all night writing.

Namjoon woke up to a loud noise. When he checked to see if Jimin was okay, he saw the boy laying on the ground. Zero movement. Shit. Namjoon called an ambulance and rode to the hospital with Jimin.

“Relation?”

“Acquaintances…”

Namjoon wanted to say friends, but he's never spoken to the boy. But I guess now would be a great time, yeah?  Namjoon walked down the hallway in search of room 1013.

1009, 1011, 1013!

He opened the door and found Jimin awake.

“You the guy who found me?”

Namjoon walked in, closing the door with his foot.

“Yeah-erm-yeah I am.”

To say he was nervous would be an understatement for Namjoon. He observed the younger male from afar for months trying to plan how exactly he would approach him, what he would say and when he'd say it. All of it is ruined because he fell asleep.

“Why did you call an ambulance? You go to my school so you know how often this happens. No hospital was needed. What's your name?” Jimin sounded sad, maybe sick.  

“Uh, Na-Nam-Namjoon. Namjoon.”

 “Thanks Namjoon. I mean, I would have been fine. I am going to hear the same as I do at home.” He cleared his voice, “You need to eat more. You’re too thin! Are people's judgement getting to you?!” Namjoon listened. He listened to the younger male rant. About his home life, his own thoughts, struggles. Everything. “I mean do they ever stop to think I'm doing all of this for myself?” Jimin was now in tears and Namjoon didn't know how to comfort him.

“I dont, I don't think they do. All they, all they see is you lose,losing the weight. Nothing, nothing else.” Namjoon mentally degraded himself for stuttering so much.

“You kind of have a point there, I guess. You know what else gets on my nerves? Okay so you see how small I am. My fucking thighs and ass won't get small like the rest of me. I mean if I were a dominant gay man, I'd fuck me. But like, I'm not dominant and I just want it to go away. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with my ass. But my thighs make me feel fat.” This obviously flustered Namjoon.

Being a dominant gay male he had to admit, he would fuck Jimin hard. I mean sure he came off as a soft dom, but push him to that limit and holy shit.

“I know you've been watching me…” Jimin started. Namjoon almost died of embarrassment. “Everyday after school, I can see you. I don't just dance like a stripper, okay? I do contemporary story telling. I dance like that because I can see you. The way you look at me. A few times I can hear you when you're…busy.” Jimin looked between Namjoon's legs and then back up at the afformentioned male's eyes. Namjoon cleared his throat, “Listen Jimin. You are fucking perfect. I encourage you to gain a few pounds, though. Is there anything I can do to uhm...help?”

At this point Jimin was purposely trying to tease Namjoon. He likes having power. Likes having control over people like that. He wants to make Namjoon flustered.

“I mean...I can think of tons of things that can help me. One in particular is grasping my attention.” Jimin scooted to the edge of the bed, making sure the hospital gown was moving up his thighs.

“Joonie can you help me please?” Jimin said in a fairly innocent voice. His hand was over the general area of his crotch.

Now if Namjoon didn't died of embarrassment before, holy shit he was now.

“Chim, erm, Jimin...I don't think you're acting yourself. You don't know me, know me.” Namjoon was screaming internally. Park Jimin is hot and asking Namjoon...no. No no no.

“Joonie can you fuck me? Pretty please?” Jimin was now horny himself. He wanted this, correction, needed this. For Namjoon to fuck him. Namjoon shook his head. Maybe he was dreaming?

“Daddy, fuck me please.” Jimin was now whining. It's been a year since he last had sex. Everyone had left him because of his continuous weight loss.

“Fuck.” Namjoon whispered. Jimin probably had no clue he had a daddy kink but Namjoon can't help but feel exposed.

This is taking a weird turn….

Namjoon pulled Jimin up by the wrists and pulled him into the nearest bathroom.

“Listen here you fucking beautiful piece of shit. I'll fuck you if you let me help you mentally.  Let me take care of you, but you can't be loud.”

Jimin smirked. He's about to get exactly what the fuck he wanted in the first place.

He sank to his knees almost immediately.

Namjoon held his breath as the younger started to palm him through his jeans.

Timeskip   -

After their rendezvous, Jimin had no real choice but to get better. Namjoon had put him in therapy for a few weeks. That didn’t turn out too great stating Jimin refused to talk to someone who, in his words, “Only listens and tries to help for money. They don’t care, not really.”

This broke Namjoon’s heart. He wanted Jimin to get better, to be healthy. And he know he can’t force it. As smart as he is, he feels helpless when it comes to Jimin. He has no idea how to help. Even if he did, he wouldn’t know where to start.

Jimin basically lived with Namjoon at this point. Refusing to sleep at his own house in fear of his parents. Constantly criticizing him, his weight, his eating habits. Namjoon wants to just kill a man whenever Jimin comes to his house. Because he knows he ran from his home to find a safe place.

And Namjoon concluded, once Jimin’s eating habits were a bit more stable, that they need a place. A place to meet when things go south. A place to meet when they need comfort. I mean, hell, he has five other people he needs to help.

Now you may be wondering how Namjoon helped exactly.

Well you see, every day Namjoon remembered to shower Jimin with love and affection. To remind Jimin that he is perfect the way he is. And if there is a person who can’t see that, the person doesn’t really matter. Because if they did, they would support him no matter what.

“Namjoon can we order takeout tonight? I’m starving…”

And Namjoon was happy to hear those words. Jimin was literally starving 3 months ago and here he was just exaggerating his hunger. “Sure what do you want?” “I don’t really care. I just don’t want to have to leave this cozy apartment of yours. Ooh, can we get hot chocolate and watch A Christmas Story?” Jimin pleaded.

“Do you just want me to go to the store for you? I can buy you a stuffed animal too.”

Jimin smiled and nodded. He really wished Namjoon were his and only his…

“Before you go I have a secret to tell you...come here.” Namjoon obeyed.

“I like you. I really really like you.”

Namjoon didn’t really have time to process this as Jimin was pushing him out of the door.  

Upon his return Jimin was waiting at the door, kind of like a puppy.

Speaking of puppies…

“So Joonie...I kind of have a surprise.” Jimin awkwardly smiled.

“I got a puppy! Do you like it? His name is Monie. Do you like him? Do ya, do ya?”

Namjoon was pissed. First Jimin says he likes him, then he bus a puppy?! “Yes I love it.” Namjoon had no choice but to mask his anger. If he upset the younger, who would comfort him? “I like you…” Namjoon whispered. And this calmed both Jimin and Monie. “Namjoon had his back to Jimin and heard silence. Which terrified him, he began to shake uncontrollably. Not now, dear god. Please not now. Namjoon felt arms around his waist, “Joonie, it’s okay. I’m here, I’m always here. Please just calm down, okay? I’m here.” Jimin’s voice was so comforting to the older, but his mind kept twisting Jimin’s words.

  Namjoon turned in Jimin’s arms and leaned so his head was in the crook of Jimin’s neck. He inhaled Jimin’s scent as the younger rubbed his back. Or, what he could reach of it.

    “Don’t cry Namjoon. I love you, I’m right here.”

  Namjoon’s shaking calmed a little bit, but now Jimin needs a plan.

         I need to help Namjoon.

Being online is such a trip. I mean honestly, take a step back and evaluate how we interact with one another. Would you do that in real life?
