“This will continue until we are . . . mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him.” —Ephesians 4:13 (CEV)
“Spiritual Growth Is a Lifelong Journey” —By Rick Warren:
“Becoming like Christ is a long, slow process of growth. Spiritual maturity is neither instant nor automatic. It’s gradual and progressive. Paul said, “This will continue until we are… mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him” (Ephesians 4:13 CEV).
You are a work in progress. Your spiritual transformation —developing the character of Jesus—will take the rest of your life. And even then it won’t be completed here on Earth. It will only be finished when you get to heaven or when Jesus returns. At that point, any unfinished work on your character will be wrapped up.
The Bible says that when you’re finally able to see Jesus perfectly, you will become perfectly like him: “We are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is” (1 John 3:2 NLT).
Many Christians become confused because they ignore this simple truth: God is far more interested in building your character than he is in anything else.
People worry when God seems silent on specific issues, such as “What career should I choose?” The truth is, there are many different careers that could be in God’s will for your life. What God cares about most is that whatever you do, you do in a Christlike manner.
God is far more interested in who you are than in what you do. We are human beings, not human doings. God is much more concerned about your character than your career—because you will take your character into eternity, not your career.
God’s purpose is to make you like him before he takes you to heaven. Becoming like Jesus is your greatest privilege, your immediate responsibility, and your ultimate destiny.
Talk It Over:
How have you seen God shaping your character to be more like Jesus?
God is more interested in who you are than in what you do. How does knowing this change the things you’re praying about or worrying about?
Your spiritual transformation will take your whole life—and not be completed until you see Jesus face to face. How does that knowledge affect how you live each day?”

Ordo Salutis: Election
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love;

"YES, GOD CAN STILL USE YOU!"
Ephesians 2:10, “For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above – spiritually transformed, renewed, READY TO BE USED] for good words, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” (AMP) When David first arrived at…

Four Dimensions, Deeper Love: How God Loves You Back
Four Dimensions, Deeper Love: How God Loves You Back
In Ephesians, Paul mentions the four dimensions of God’s love as if everyone knew about them; so tell me, have YOU ever thought about the four dimensions of Christ’s love? In his book of superlatives, Paul talks about where God’s love is planted, and what it looks like. Even if you think you have love all figured out, his description is a revelation that will push your boundaries and redefine…

Vigilantly seeking the things that are above
Vigilantly seeking the things that are above
Today we will be looking at the topic of vigilance. When we vigilantly “seek the things that are above,” we are not only looking forward to a heavenly eternity, but we should be finding ways to enact heavenly principles in the here and now, incorporating our new, spiritual kingdom life into the life we are living now. The apostle Paul stated it this way: Colossians 3:1-3 – If then you were…

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Something I’ve seen recently is people trying to “be good enough to work their way into heaven” (aka they’re “on their own journey to get there”). Except, we can never be good enough. We’re always going to fall short. Romans 3:23-24 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." So what does this mean? If we can never be good enough to work our way into some sort of heaven, what do we do? Acts 4:12 says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’“ -John 14:6 Jesus is the ONLY way. By His grace, we have been saved. Not only that, but salvation is a free gift (Romans 3:24)! God loves us so much that He won’t force us to do anything we don’t want to do. He gave us free will. Therefore, we can choose to love and be with Him, or we’re going to choose otherwise. Would it truly be love if we were forced to love and be with God? No! God truly loves us and wants us to choose to love Him.  So what are you going to do now? There’s the best gift in the whole wide world sitting right in front of you. Are you going to choose to take it?  "If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." -Romans 10:9-10

Adoption Song
Some of the best wisdom I ever received was this: Put Your Identity Wholly-Holy In Christ Jesus. I am so glad I did and I hope you do too. We are adopted by God, We belong to Jesus Christ. Awe-GOD! God bless ya. Have a great day!
Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts! And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as…

“Keeping In Step with Christ” This 1-minute devotion explains why Christ told us to take His YOKE and 4 ways we can make sure we're doing it:
We always get out of step when we try to bear our own burdens, solve our own problems, and operate in our own power.
We need a yoke* that connects us with Christ so we can move in step with Him:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Yoked to Christ, we walk where He walks:
1. Dwelling on His Word:
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly” (Colossians 3:16a).
2. Rejecting popular worldly philosophies:
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8).
3. Following His purposes:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
4. Walking in His power and strength:
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
Jesus says, "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be" (John 12:26).
Best of all, when we move in step with Christ, we find rest for our souls.
-----------------
*Yoke: "zygós – properly, a yoke; a wooden bar placed over the neck of a pair of animals so they can pull together; (figuratively) what unites (joins) two people to move (work) together as one."
For a deeper understanding of taking Christ's yoke:
•Which yoke
•Yoked but unburdened
•Learn from Him
•Jesus invites us to come take and learn
•Come
(All Bible verses in the NIV.)

Pooling{listening}
Heather Morris , author of the Tattooist of Auschwitz, was working with elderly people in Australia and began to listen carefully to a man who had a story to tell. That story became that book. She listened to other stories and they became other books. Listening to, engaging with each other and our stories allows us to notice and name those stories. And this gives voice to the Spirit who works…
