you're going about your normal day when, suddenly, surprise! you've been pokémon mystery dungeon'd!

unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!

tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.

bonus rules:

you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny

take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)

apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender

have fun and be yourself!

so i am playing a game about evolution and i have chosen the most brilliant creature:

the slime.

they got the hang of moving pretty quickly. i noticed around fifteen generations in that two strategies had risen to the top.

first, the rollies. they kept their exterior distended in order to roll forward.

second, the jumpies. they attempted to jump as fast and as far as they could (it looked just like a minecraft slime)

they traded back and forth repeatedly. the rollies would get the advantage. then the jumpies. then the rollies again. it felt like a true evolutionary arms race.

after 40 generations, the rollies have all but disappeared. the jumpies have clearly won this battle.

ik im a big johto/unova lover (THAT goes without saying) and feel more nostalgia for unova rather than kalos (i grew up on the B&W anime before ever getting pokemon x) but im actually really glad theyre making legends z-a rather than a johto/unova remake or legends title.

legends z-a is coming out on its own, unlike legends arceus, which means gamefreak can put most of their focus on that

they arent trying to release it within a year. i hope they keep this up, because if we ever DO get those aforementioned titles i NEED them to be good. i NEED them to stay in the oven a lot longer
