every aromantic person who has to witness someone say “there is no non-romantic explanation for these characters” should be financially compensated
EDIT: if i see another one of you fuckers arguing “but sometimes they ARE just super romantic” i’m tired of being nice. i’m just gonna let you know that 1. amanormativity has rotted your fucking brain and 2. it’s people like you that are the reason why aros are suffering. other aros you are not absolved of this. just fucking listen to us for once and stop denying our experiences and pleas.

does anyone have some evidence/sources for “newton didn’t discover anything, he read indian scientists”? when i google it i find some vaguely indian-nationalist sources talking about how indian scientists (either brahmagupta II or bhaskaracharya) had discovered gravity 1000 years earlier. it definitely seems to be the case that the mathematician brahmagupta wrote about earth having an attractive force that makes things fall down, but (1) did he mathematically model it? i thought that was one of newton’s big innovations, building on earlier european and islamic theories about gravity, and (2) did newton know about or read brahmagupta? people independently come up with the same ideas all the time, there’s enough credit to go around

I love how whenever I see people discuss wyllstarion, in the context of "justifying" why one ships it, there's always that of why Astarion would love Wyll, extensively; bringing up that Astarion said he used to dream of marrying men like Wyll, or that Astarion said wants to feed off of Wyll, or that Astarion would want someone chivalrous and kind who would put his needs first and who would respect his boundaries and his past. Astarion is the fave white boy and so he's shipped with many different people, and this is how people who ship wyllstarion express why he'd choose Wyll. But I almost never see extensive explanation of why Wyll would love Astarion, because of course he would. Of course he'd love Astarion.

"Goncharov (1973) dir. Martin Scorsese - beelzeebub" is now a canonical tag on AO3.
Oh yay, this is fantastic! XD Thanks for letting me know! (a small part of me wishes that the original canon authorship was attributed to a shoe, purely for the humor value, but @beelzeebub absolutely deserves credit for the amazing movie poster.)
As of 1:07 PM PST, the newly canonical (!) AO3 tag has 204 works. And SPN is no longer the only crossover fandom -- by clicking Filter and checking the sidebar, we can now see a number of other fandoms with crossovers or fusions:
(Supernatural still has the most, though!)
Having this makes it much easier for everyone to find and sort/filter these works -- and to do fandom stats, for those of us so inclined. :) Three cheers for the awesome AO3 tag wranglers! 🎉🎉🎉
