I wish some aces would stop excluding other aces with complex sexual experiences. like I get why but you have to realize that being ace does not mean they don't enjoy sexual experiences and it's weird when you complain about allo people and boil it down to "people who have sexual experiences" and also shame people for their sex life and kinks as if your own community doesnt INCLUDE those people. because there are other aces out there who still masturbate, who feel sexually attracted to their own body, who barely experiences sexual attraction but still enjoys sex, who like consuming sexual media, who like sfw kink. being ace is so so much more complex than just "disliking sex". and also aromantic exclusionism in the same genre of posts is something i see a lot. especially aro allos. I hate hate hate seeing a community that SHOULD be inclusive boil down sexuality and exclude people.

in the past week or so ive seen a lot of people posting about how there's this oversexualization of trans girls on the site, and I gotta agree, there are way too many people (including other trans women!) who act like we're all dtf 24/7 or always super kinky and horny. I've been tired of that stereotype for ages and i am saying this as a rather sexual trans girl myself...
...but I think people are overcorrecting a bit now, and are starting to veer into "trans women shouldnt be talked about sexually / need to be shielded from it" territory. and, to me, that's really dangerous, because outside of some queer spaces - and even within them- the sexuality of trans girls is heavily scrutinized, as is attraction to us. as much as I dislike certain aspects of the memes and jokes that kickstarted the stereotypes, I'm kinda grateful for them as well. girldick jokes helped with my bottom dysphoria, voice kink shit helped me like my voice, and the whole "tgirl tummy tuesday" thing gave me a lot of confidence in my body where I hated it before. I think this open appreciation of trans sexiness has done a lot for both me and others on tumblr.
again, obviously its got its problems - people end up assuming every trans girl is horny, or only spread positivity if its related to sex with us, and of course the people who do have dysphoria from the things that are being sexualized are left out (like those the "girls without dicks are like angels without wings" memes, ugh, feels icky every time). and on the note of comparing tgirls to angels, we also started getting treated like we're ethereal fertility goddesses and that t4t sex was some inherently sacred ritual. spoiler alert, trans girls are normal-ass people and t4t sex can be holy for the participants but its generally a pretty normal thing to do as well
coming back to the "don't sexualize trans girls" posts now, I think they were initially going in the right direction, but at this point I'm starting to raise an eyebrow at more than a few of them. I'm not gonna whip out the "youre a sex hating puritan if you post about it" accusation because that is obviously wrong but again, I think people are definitely overcorrecting and starting to turn this into a (false) dichotomy when it's not. its a complex topic and each individual trans woman will feel differently about it.
(I feel like the internet just erases any nuance in favor of a two-sided, highly polarized flamewar with unrealistic views on both sides. actually i wouldn't even say this is a super-nuanced discussion because its really not that hard to say "fetishization is bad, but so is suppression of sexuality". will this post just end up being a void scream and people will continue drawing lines between one side and the other? probably. but I am a stubborn bitch and I have hope that we can be reasonable.)
anyways I'll close this off by saying that I wrote this between around 1:30 and 2 AM on terrible sleep the night before, that I hope what I said is coherent enough, and that I will keep being a trans girl who is openly sexual, gets horny over other trans women, and is proud to be transsexy as fuck. I will keep being critical of jokes and trends and memes that stereotype us, even from our own community. I will keep being angry at how poorly us trans folks are treated with regards to our sex lives, bodies, and relationships between the two. I will keep loving and lusting over trans women without fetishizing them. And I will keep doing all of these til the day I die.

Everyone thinks that Qrow is the one likes to collect rocks, trinkets, and shiny things. Mostly because of how often he's seen doing it, and slightly because of the running joke that crows do the exact same thing.
But the fact of the matter is: Clover is the one with a four-leaf clover charm, a horshoe, and a rabbit's foot. That's not one, not two, but three different trinkets right there. Who's to say he doesn't have more good luck objects? Who's to say he doesn't have a pair of special, lucky dice? Maybe a shiny gold coin that he secretly carries around in his pocket? Maybe even a piece of decoration or jewlery (a ring, perhaps?) that's encrusted with a jade, a gemstone believed to bring good luck?
TLDR: Clover is the one who collects trinkets, not Qrow. Qrow is just the one to find them for him, because everytime he sees something like that, Clover is all he can think about, so he takes it to bring back to him.

I really think it's important to give credit where credit is due but for example, on tumblr you can always @ someone...but then I feel like I'm calling for attention!!! Or like I'm coming off as "Oh I mentioned you!!! You have to reblog this!!!" when that's not it!!!
Like I know that's the simplest way to give credit. And when just tagging someone, most of the time I know it's a simple "I'm thinking of you" or "I think you'd like this!" and that's definitely how I see it but I know that I'm a chaotic lil gremlin who likes collecting everything as "I absorb everything in sight". I know other people are more particular about what they toss up on their blogs.
I usually just put url names so then people KNOW who's the person with said idea first and then link the specific post so then the person doesn't need to feel like they have to like or reblog my thing as I'm just trying to give credit and the source.

i feel like a lot of proship people dont realize that us 'antis' or whatever they call us dont like them not bc what theyre shipping is despicable, but bc their mindset around it is really fuckin gross
theres always a time within media where pairing an adult and a child together/siblings/etc is used to tell a darker story, explore themes, etc. that kind of shit doesnt reflect on the author AT ALL, look at lolita for an example. pedo protag, but not pedo/pedo-supporting author.
what IS really gross and makes it look like you support pedos, weirdoes, etc, is when you go 'omg these two characters are so good together 😍😍" and it's a 12 year old and a 36 year old. that DOES reflect on the author/whoever pairs them
ofc, this shit isnt going to kill anyone irl, but the internet is a place of infinite malleability, where you have a little button you can click at any moment to completely erase someone from your presence forever. as such, we can block proshippers and we have good reason to
if ur gonna be weird, dont get mad when people find u weird.
all this to say i got a really gross proshipping post on my dash, which prompted this
do me a favor and just block me if you make/support that kinda stuff. i dont want to see it.

No True Pair Writing Prompts
So, for anyone unfamiliar, No True Pair is a community over on Dreamwidth that features fanwork prompts. From their community profile:
no_true_pair is, loosely, a mad-libs-style challenge. You make a list of characters, a set of prompts is posted that uses all the characters in different combinations, and you create works using those characters.
For example, if your list contained Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse as numbers 2 and 4, there could be a prompt like "2 & 4 go out for coffee" or "4 invites 2 out for dinner, except..." and you'd write Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse going out for coffee, or Mickey Mouse inviting Darth Vader out for dinner and then going from there.
Now, if this sounds interesting to you because you like writing prompts, awesome! I made a spreadsheet of all the prompts available so far (383 prompts available so far, excluding round 10, which was a "by popular demand" rerun of older prompts). The community is super awesome and has an AO3 collection, so if you're interested, you should absolutely give it a whirl! I'm going to explain how it works here.
The Spreadsheet
(The section header is linked to the sheet if you're looking for it)
The first page of the spreadsheet is the instruction sheet. It includes links to everything and explanations of how the community works. You can see the prompts by clicking the "tabs" down there across the bottom.
If you have a Google Account and you want to play, you should go to "File" and "Make a Copy" to save a copy of it to your own Google Drive so that you can edit the lists. (See below screenshot.)
If you do not have a Google Account, no worries! You can go to "File" and "Download" the sheet to save a local copy that you can use. (See below screenshot.)
Once you've done that, go to one of the tabs at the bottom to pick a round. I'm going to use Round 8 in this example.
The Round Sheets
The round sheets look like this. You have a section at the top for your character list, and then the prompts are in the bottom.
You make a list of characters.
And then the prompts will auto-populate with their names.
And you can pick whatever you like to go forth and write! Now, obviously, I'm an FF7 writer, but you can do any fandom for this community. Or OCs! They're very welcoming.
Once again, you can find the spreadsheet here if you're interested!
GO FORTH AND WRITE, EVERYONE!
