Everytime I try to think about their personalities and how they would interact with each other, or M6, or Mc I just feel like I don't get it right. Like I've got like the very basics but that's like it

Idk Lucio’s familars ( i cant spell one of their names) but they are kinda like wild dogs, they do whatever they want

Some of these are probably answers in their routes but it's hard to remember/recall. I do wish they were in their respective routes just a little bit more than they are so I could get a could grasp of their personalities.

What I really want is just like a written out basis of what they are like? I don't even need the Mini headcannons ( but I do like them) Their personalities is just what I have a hard time grasping because it not like right in front of me or I'm not constantly reminded of it like the Li’s that I just forget or mischaracterize them.

So if you ever have the time and or patience, I would love if you could just write about their personalities or just more about them in general. They are right hand to the Li’s and I love them so much and I tried using the wiki but I don't trust it because apparently some of the info is just flat-out wrong. I love reading you headcannons and mini headcannons because I feel like you do the Li’s justice and this account is keeping the Arcana fandom alive. I'm very sorry that this is a really long ask and my grammar my be wrong in some areas.

Hi friend!! I hope you're ready for the full scale essay under the cut XD

(also, you are more than welcome to request some mini-hcs with the M6's familiars - please feel free to submit them individually so I can sort and try to answer them ^.^)

The devs don't go hugely into detail about how familiars work, exactly, but here's what we know: First, how in-tune to magic you are does affect how involved your bond is, but people still have familiars whether or not they have a lot of magical ability. Second, the bond makes the most sense if you think of it as being similar to a "soulmates AU" setup. The person and animal involved have a natural connection with the potential for a full-fledged familiar bond, but how that manifests changes depending on the effort and type of bonding that happens.

There's also a consistent pattern when it comes to vibes and personality, with the familiars being very similar to their respective humans. I'll go familiar by familiar from here ^.^

Malak:

Julian and Malak are (unfortunately) not very in touch with each other. Julian doesn't speak of him much beyond referring to him as "the raven", and while it's clear that they're more in sync than the average human and animal would be, Julian tends to find it more uncanny than comforting. Malak, in turn, tends to get quickly annoyed by this when his genuine attempts to help and protect and connect get consistently thwarted. He shares Julian's values and habits, constantly keeping watch (anxiously or otherwise) over his person and the people important to him, and often flying beak-first into situations that seem out of control with little regard for his own well being. Malak and Julian have the capacity to cover each other's blind spots. Julian is quicker at analyzing and navigating social situations that sometimes send the bird into a frenzy, while Malak is aware of magical happenings that Julian is completely blind to.

The two of them share an anxiety about the world being a constantly dangerous place and noble mindset focused around doing the right thing and protecting the people they love. The big difference is that Malak doesn't doubt his own abilities - as generally anxious as he acts with all his ruffling feathers and screeches, the raven doesn't hold himself back because he thinks someone else could do better. If anything, he's often pushing Julian to get over the self-deprecation and join him already. Unfortunately, neither of them has figured out how to listen to each other yet, which means more often than not they just get on each other's nerves. Given MC's ability to help Julian navigate things of a magical nature, they could very easily become the communication bridge between the two.

Faust

It's pretty heavily implied (if not canon) that Faust is the child of Asra's parents' familiars, Chimes and Flamel. She was given to Asra as an egg and hatched on one of their birthdays, and the two have been inseparable ever since. They have an incredibly strong bond, enough for them to send memories to each other, have conversations, communicate across long distances, and even share emotions. Faust loves Asra, herself, and MC almost equally, and in Asra's route she happily becomes MC's companion when Asra isn't around to do so. She also appears to have her own capacity for magic, frequently blipping from one realm to another as she pleases.

The best way (in my head) of describing her vibes are that one honorary younger sibling who is also the instigator best friend. While she's borne witness to Asra's toughest moments, she's received such excellent care and attention that she doesn't seem to have nearly the same levels of trauma - or maturity. Reading about her feels a lot like what I imagine reading about a teenaged Asra with a much kinder life would feel like - whimsical, mischievous, creative, impulsive, unpredictable, and carefree to the point of recklessness. She's still learning what it means to have limits (re: going off on an unannounced adventure, only to be caught and held hostage by the Devil) but when push comes to shove she's suprisingly dependable (re: sabotaging the ritual, right under the Devil's nose).

Due to her being so accessible to MC's character, she has a level of plot influence and general content that comes closer to a main character than the other familiars. It gives fan work more content to work with, but also less space to take its own creative liberty.

Chandra

Chandra is always hovering, and yet rarely directly involved. We know that Nadia used to be able to speak with her similarly to how Asra speaks with Faust, but she doesn't remember how. There's a wall between the two of them that they both seem to want to breach, but given the circumstances, they just haven't found the time and resources to do it yet. However, it's clear that they know how important they are to each other - Chandra seems to live at Nadia's beck and call, despite seeming so distant, and Nadia dedicates much of her personal time and interests to caring for her. They rely heavily on each other as allies in uncertain times (re: Nadia trusting Chandra in multiple routes to be her eyes and ears and carry her most important messages).

Chandra certainly has Nadia's independence, initiative, and desire for companionship. She's often seen on alert on the fringes and ready to step in and help take control of chaotic situations. However, where Nadia responds to a desire for companionship by initiating connection, Chandra is more reserved. She's present, she's paying attention, but she's not actively connecting until she's invited. She, like Nadia, has become accustomed to living in a Palace filled with with intrigue and uncertain loyalties, and it plays out in her reticence. She's much more likely to communicate interest by watching intently from a distance than by approaching and interacting. Over time, if MC is able to help Nadia find the way to communicate with Chandra again, they'll likely become her confidante in her efforts to be a good familiar.

Inanna

The best way to describe her and Muriel is trauma bonded. (Which, given Muriel's past, is arguably the bond that lets him receive the support he needs from her best.) They're both loners, both uninterested in connection until it's proven to be worthwhile, and both deeply distrusting of other people's motives. Inanna is Muriel's breaking point twice. First, when he's expected to kill her in the Coliseum (how they met), and second, when she's horribly injured trying to protect the heart of the forest. Both of those moments with her push Muriel to recognize his priorities and actually act on them. As a result, they have a deep mutual respect for each other - and a stubborn emphasis on still being their own people (or wolf). Muriel refers to her as his friend more easily than as his familiar.

Inanna as a character, however, seems to hold onto some of the traits that Muriel has buried under his trauma. She's more adaptable than he is, quicker to accept change, and considerably more hopeful and optimistic. She's faster to act (often the one prompting Muriel to follow through, when he'd rather continue thinking), and she's nosier. Where Muriel analyzes and then quietly judges while respecting someone's decision, Inanna analyzes and then does her best to assist any kind of good change. Whether that's leading MC to Muriel when he's injured and would rather be left alone, or expressing the affection towards them that he's still trying to hide, she acts like a big sister. Independent, a bit of a bully, fiercely protective, and loyal beyond measurement. She doesn't need to bond with MC through Muriel, she can do that herself.

Pepi

Portia met Pepi on Mazelinka's ship, as she was on her way to hunt down her older brother and beat some sense into him. The two of them bonded instantly, and when the time came for Portia and Mazelinka to part ways, Pepi gave up the life of a ship cat to stay by Portia's side. Portia doesn't seem to be fully aware of Pepi being her familiar and sees her as more of an uncannily well-bonded pet. At least, until her own route, where Pepi learns how to speak. Up until that point Portia just seems to see Pepi more as an unusually intelligent cat that she likes to talk to. The two of them are each other's family, Pepi always ready to lend a helping paw with unruly birds, and Portia always happy to spoil her with snuggles and treats.

Pepi has Portia's optimism, love of mischief, and dauntless attitude. However, they differ somewhat in how they view themselves. While Portia struggles to see herself as the main character of her own story, often fading into the background in order to support someone else, Pepi is more than happy to take center stage. This cat can and will prioritize her own needs and preferences if she thinks nobody else is going to do it, and it often lands her in trouble (re: stealing your heartsong festival gift, seeking out nap places that give her access to forbidden fishies, etc). She's quick to make her own friendships, and when you and Portia start your new life together, she'll consider you one of her family as well. Thanks to her retained ability to speak (upright ending) you'll never have to go without a conversation partner again.

Mercedes & Melchior

Lucio, unfortunately, didn't realize these two were his familiars until after he'd met you. While a large part of his menagerie building was his search for a familiar, he failed to notice how those two in particular were so attached to them. Thankfully, they're never on their own given how closely they stick to each other. Their lack of a strongly developed magical connection with Lucio doesn't really stop them from being able to communicate. They vibe with him on a similar act-first-think-later wavelength, having such little interest in impulse control that it's impossible not to know what they want. All you know is that they're hellbent on accomplishing it and on getting out of whatever consequences they invite with a pair of large, shining puppy eyes.

Besides their impulsiveness and chaotic nature, Mercedes and Melchior share Lucio's tendency to live in the moment and focus on life's pleasures. However, they also have the emotional intelligence and undying loyalty all good dogs do. When Lucio was "dead" they spent three years guarding his wing and trying to find help for him, and when you join him in his search for answers, they'll remain with you and empathize with you regardless of the dangers involved (re: one of them going with Lucio to get help, the other staying next to you and whining when Valdemar has you strapped to a gurney). They instinctively track your emotional state and are often the reason Lucio notices how you're doing as quickly as he does. For all their bratty behavior, their doggy bodies are overflowing with love for the people they care about and nothing makes them happier than being with them. Don't mistake love for respect, though - they take orders from nobody.

“jonathan and y/n?” nancy closes her locker. “i dont know, havent really paid attention to them.”

barb pokes her with the tip of her pen. “liar, arent they always hanging out with your brother?”

“mikes life is none of my business.”

“fair, but c’mon. you seriously cant be telling me that you dont think jonathan and y/n will get together soon.”

nancy doesnt say anything, hoping that if she doesnt respond then barb will drop the subject, but she knows she has a point. nancy had been lying before, she does pay attention to you two.

not in a creepy or judgmental way, but of course shes paid attention to you and jonathan. how could she not? the two of you were like this inseparable pair of endearing grandparents. always bickering and yet always holding each others hands through it all.

nancy thinks its sweet, in a way. to have someone care about a person so much and with such devotion. to be taken care of. it was obvious, even to nancy, that the two of you really loved each other.

its also why she kept her distance from you two, though. nancy felt like there was never any room in your little planet together, but she didnt mind. she had barb, steve harrington winked at her last week; she was doing fine.

but when nancy began hanging around you and jonathan because barb went missing, she started to fear that there really was no room for her on the planet you guys inhabited. she always felt three steps behind in the conversations with you and jonathan. the two of you had long perfected an unspoken language and nancy was helpless in deciphering it.

but she had to push down the uncertainty to find barb. thats all nancy cared about, even if sometimes jonathan looked at her like she was someone other than perfect nancy wheeler. like he was interested in her intelligence rather than her beauty.

it was nice. really nice.

no one had ever taken her seriously before.

but then nancy would see you in the background, hovering over jonathans shoulder as you always have done, and she’d feel like shit afterwards.

nancy knows you love jonathan, and the way he looks at you when you arent looking at him, she cant deny that he loves you, too.

what she cant figure out, however, is the capacity of love between you and him. despite days of being around you two, seeing all your interactions and small gestures and nicknames and adoration between you, nancy cant figure out if its romantic or something else.

and after watching you and jonathan for a few days, nancy concludes that you guys dont seem to know whats between you either. theres a thin line that hangs over you and jonathan. a thread of almost thats so precariously thin.

and nancy doesnt want to be the one that severs it.

so when she gets paired with you in the shed that night at the school to find will and barb, nancy takes her only opportunity to reassure you that shes not a threat. nancy isnt an idiot, shes seen the way you look at her after jonathan has done something kind towards her.

“i dont want to intrude.” nancy tells you, with all the sincerity and truth she can offer. she really, truly doesnt want to step over the line with jonathan. she understands that hes yours and youre his in a way that she may not ever fully know. but she still respects it.

nancy wants to be your friend.

but she also wants jonathans understanding of her, too.

its a dangerous and blurry and confusing thing.

and sometimes nancy is terrified she’ll fuck it up, hurt everyone in the process, but shes also been perfect her entire life.

nancy wheeler understands that selfishness is not inherently wrong, but every time shes selfish, the people she loves the most get hurt.

thats one thing barb taught her.

nancy refuses to hurt anyone else, especially someone as selfless as you, as genuine as jonathan, and as sincere as steve.

none of you deserve it, so nancy bites her tongue and goes to parties and makes sure to always leave a few inches of space between her and jonathan.

anything to keep everyone afloat.

i dont have a great vocabulary. emotional moments can be hard because i only know few words and i wantvto communicate so many things….im always googling synonyms

i love it when other people do it, but i am not multilingual- i don’t feel like i could do it justice.

the more i think about merrill and sebastian, the more intense i'm feeling about them too, because i feel like sebastian has been abused by the chantry to some extent. i get the sense that a lot of his stances are genuine--he strongly debates whether or not to stay with the chantry and does walk away from it once no matter what, twice if hawke convinces him to retake his position in starkhaven, so i don't feel like he's been entirely twisted up and blinded, at least on the matter of religion and mages, he seems to really believe.

but. i do think the chantry (and his parents) messed up his understanding of morals, and what is good vs bad, and why. sebastian slept around in his youth and wasted money on mind-altering substances, presumably, and his parents considered it disgraceful, so they sent him to the chantry against his will to "straighten him out". (this post will focus on sex, mainly, but i could so go on about his broken moral compass re: mage rights and how he responds to anders at the end of the game, how he instantly flips into a much more harmful portrayal of justice/vengeance than he thinks anders is, imo. anyway)

now, the kinds of things he got up to could be harmful in excess or if not doing it safely, yes, but of course having sex or using substances isn't inherently wrong / immoral, you just need to be careful and understand your boundaries and all that. maybe he did need someone to tell him to slow down, be safer, and evaluate his needs / if these things were really good for him or if he was using them as an escape or something like that, but he didn't need to be told he was a disgrace or that it was wrong to do x and y. classic case of condemning the action instead of treating the root cause of them, which likely is that he felt sidelined as the youngest, "less important" of his siblings, while still feeling the pressure of being royalty. he probably didn't get the kind of nurturing he needed. probably didn't get the opportunity for positive, genuine relationships.

and then in the chantry, he's having that idea of "disgrace" solidified. he's meant to be chaste. he's meant to set aside all personal pleasure. he has to let go of such "base" things to dedicate himself to the maker & andraste. i don't know for sure if all chantry clergy are supposed to be celibate because it's the case for sebastian, while it seems very much not the case in dai (at the very least, a sister has sex with the iron bull lol and i feel like it's mentioned elsewhere but i cant remember off the top of my head). regardless, sebastian has had his sexual desires repressed.

enter merrill, as i've been writing her lately. sex knowledgeable and sex-positive, and so down to casually enjoy others without it being a big deal. sebastian noticing that she's having sex with half their friends at this point, maybe more, and his internalized sex-negativity making him think badly of her. she's "deviant", and "frivolous" like he once was. not only could she give him the fucking he really needs, she could unravel the knots his family and the chantry tied in his mind. she could remind him that sex can be good and fun, and there's nothing wrong with that. sex can be beautiful, and deeply satisfying, and he is not dirty and disgraceful for liking sex.

3. third favorite robin ummm i guess tim i think bc in my head it goes duke->steph->i dont care but ive read more of tim than jason or dick or damian so👍 tim. one thing i like about him is his cardboard boyfriend SORRYY everybody hates that nothing white boy except for me and the visions i experience that make him interesting. tims the cardboard boyfriend to me idc about him bernard solo when. i think its cuz tim came out around when i rlly started getting into comics so i latched on to it and read all bernards previous appearances before tim drake robin started and ummm well i didnt realize how boring he was gonna get LOL. i still have a soft spot for him bc of that but i can admit hes a blonde shell with no interior</3 wait this question was about tim. well hes there

4. which superhero family would make the best reality tv show. augh i dont know enough about superhero families goddd. bats no bc theyre too secretive and annoying and theres not enough fun drama. supers no bc theyre too nice or have issues too serious to be fun to watch on television. booster would obviously eat up getting a show but i feel like perhaps rip would not appreciate being a part of that LOL. the flashes maybe? i feel like that could make for lighthearted (enough. at times) but interesting television. although perhaps difficult to film. what counts as a superhero family i guess kids have to be involved right i cant just be like "at the height of their popularity the authority shouldve gotten a reality tv show". well actually i guess its my anwser so i can. theyre a family. wait there literally is a kid yeah. as long as the network censors all of the gore+blood+sex+swearing+politically controversial statements they could probably run for maybe two seasons. i believe in them. it would get truly bad ratings and they would lose money on it but i think it would be perfect

6. favorite green lantern. i need to read more green lantern stuff i want to so bad but for now my anwser is guy bc ive mostly read guy stuff and hes fun ok hes fun and i like him. other than him i read far sector ages ago which i loved so if i do seriously get into gl stuff i will be seeking jo out and i also liked what i read of jess in justice league odyssey but i think thats the only thing ive read w her. i rlly rlly want to read johns stuff tho so my anwser is subject to change when i do read that eventually but for now... guy:-) i should probably also read kyle for you bc ur blog has definitely made him seem more interesting than the impression i got from his fans before and hal bc hes like the main one but for now my gl reading plans r. more of guy and then john and then well see.

this will be long, but since you asked..

i am not a good person. i am a person who is equally capable of doing good and causing harm. even with the best of intentions my actions can have unintended negative impacts, and focusing on intention rather than impact is dangerous.

the more tightly we cling to our identity as a "good person", the more skilled we become at rationalising our behaviour, and the less available we are to examine the ways that we cause harm. (x)

accountability feels like being "cancelled" when you live in a world that has enabled you and let you get away with your harmful behaviour for far too long. (x)

please start aligning yourself with people who are going to call you out on your bullshit. many of us think we‘re growing but we have enablers and coddlers around us. remember that people exposing a pattern in behaviour is not an attack on you. (x)

call outs are love. call outs are necessary. call outs begin a process of accountability. call outs are survivor-centered. (x)

being held accountable is an act of generosity and compassion. it is a gift and an opportunity that someone hands us to correct our wrongs, unlearn and do better for the sake of our own growth. it might be uncomfortable but it is worth the discomfort. (x)

abolitionists have no desire to "cancel" people who cause harm AND commit to doing better. we ALL cause harm. thats part of the human experience. what matters is how you respond to accountability. (x)

what you do AFTER apologising is where accountability actually happens. accountability is not about finding the quickest and easiest way to total forgiveness. accountability is about recognising the harm you did as real and significant and doing whats in your power to repair that harm.

when you take harm that you‘ve done seriously you dont then go "oh it wasnt THAT big of a deal" or "I already apologised they should just move on." those things reflect that you dont actually take the harm that seriously, you just dont like the consequences. (x)

many of us want to take a transformative approach to justice, however, this requires the harm doer to aknowledge their violence, as well as commit to repair and ongoing accountability. often someone appears "cancelled" when they have refused to engage in this process in a meaningful way. (x)

anyone who takes the harm they‘ve done seriously will WANT to engage in the accountability process. the safety of the people they hurt – if they indeed do take their safety seriously – will be a priority. if it isnt then they arent interested in accountability, they‘re interested in dodging it. (x)

the difference between carceral thinking and accountability is not the presence / lack of consequences. it lies in how much autonomy the harmer has. carceral logic strips them of their personal power, accountability processes require that they take ownership of it. (x)

way too often ive seen people interpret abolition as meaning that we are all forbidden from concluding that a person will not change, regardless of the evidence or presence of continued harms. i do not think believing someone wont change necessitates carcerality.

im not interested in rhetoric that can make inaction in the face of violence attractive.

as abolitionists we should be able to ask "what if you cant stop the abuse" without assuming the answer is calling the police. we should already know calling them doesnt stop the abuse. the answer should always be "we find a way to stop it" not "we excuse it". (x)

look at the people who are loud about anti "cancel culture": celebrities, abusers, people with wealth and large platforms – and the people who sympathise with them. its no coincidence that people on top of the privilege pyramid are the ones who complain about "cancel culture" the most. (x)

we are taught to sympathise with people who harmed more than with people who are harmed. (x)

Important Requesting Notice!

this is kinda important to anyone requesting on my blog, pls read!

hey guys! as previously mentioned, im still on vacation. i am currently working on reqs, but some of them r kinda difficult, i dont want to be rude but im much more inclined to write character x reader or hcs ab a character as this is a character x reader writing blog.

ive been getting a few reqs that arent even x reader or about specific characters in particular, and i dont want to disappoint the anon/asker if i do the wrong character or write it in an unappealing way to the anon. ive also recieved a few reqs that are ab specific AUs that the asker came up with, and i want to be able to write the reqs that are sent in, however i dont know how to write for AUs or OCs that i dont know anything about or arent explained, so im sorry if the writing isn't super accurate to ur interpretation of the AU !😭

im fine with people sending in reqs for AUs such as tdp modern AU x reader, but a req that is asking about how certain characters would react if they met the askers OC or if they met beings from another planet may take longer for me to respond to/i might not write as well since i want to make them accurate to the req but i also just need a backstory to work with <\\\3 again, this blog caters to character x reader or character hcs, and i just find myself more inclined to write those reqs as they interest me more and are overall more fun to write without the stress of making sure that im getting the AU or OC exactly the way the anon wanted it instead of using my own imagination. writing for OCs and AUs requires me to focus more on writing something someone else came up with, and i just dont want to be inaccurate to someone elses idea or daydream! i dont want to disappoint anyone either 🫠

im sorry if these reqs take longer, i cant help it as i just want to write what i personally come up with rather then someone elses idea bc i just feel like i wont do it justice <\\3

overall, i dont want to be hateful or upset any of the requesters who sent me asks, ily all and u can req whatever u like! however some requests can be difficult for me to respond to, be something very specific that i personally dont understand, or just might not interest me and those will take longer for me to respond too!

finally, not all reqs ive recieved are being targeted by this post, some of the reqs ive recieved are great! even the ones that are more difficult to write are still awesome and the askers are amazing and creative, and i would never want to make anyone feel bad ab sending in a req! i have definitely NOT recieved a ton of reqs as i am a small writing blog and i appreciate everyone who has sent in a req so far <3 i will definitely still be taking reqs, and i hope everyone understands this post! feel free to ask questions, i will try to reply as much as i can :) (theres some more stuff in tags if u care😭 if u read this far tysm:)

Since you didnt give me clarification on if they can be in separate rooms or not, we just gonna roll with both as the answer and move on. For now. But since id have to be even more bonkers insane than i already am to try and wrap my head around that little schrodingers concept, today were working on the assumption that they cannot be in separate rooms because honestly, that seems like the more likely outcome to me.

So, they cannot be out of eyesight of each other for whatever reason, this leaves us with two options

They just cant be far apart for whatever reason

There is only one physical body

Im really hesitant to just slap one body on the and call it done, even tho i do think thats the most likely situation, so thats what we're gonna focus on. If there is just one body that also presents a load of new questions;

is the person whos not in the body at the time still aware of whats going on with the body?

if they are, can they respond in any meaningful way, either though directly speaking into the others head, or projecting their emotions to the other?

If they arent aware at the time, can they recall the memories of what happened later?

if theres just one body, what kinds of things trigger them to switch out? (Examples are gonna work with Person A and Person B because I dont wanna get into main persona shit today)

Person A falls asleep which triggers Person B to come out

Person A feels strong emotions causing Person B to come out

If Person B is aware when Person A is in control and Person B has a strong emotional reaction they are able to push to come out

There is a healthy dialogue between Persons A and B which allows them to communicate when they would like to come out

For the Record, this is where I am in writing this when you dropped the song and I am going Fully Feral oml (thank you btw). This changes some things but i am already committed to this train of thought so we press on.

Some additional arguments for both sides of them being aware of the outside and not being aware of the outside, you said Tenebris is curious about humans and my thinking is if he was able to observe human interactions directly through Keith that curiosity wouldn't be such a prevalent thing. But there is also the aspect of Tenebris disliking shallow people, presumably because of what has happened to Keith in the past that implies at least some degree of awareness. This leads me to think that while they may not be fully conscious while not in the body, there is awareness, my thinking is something like shared memory. This would help them to develop communication with each other to discuss boundaries and the like, but that could have easily come just from them being around each other since childhood so idk. Ultimately I have no real clue, just a couple guesses i am throwing at the wall to see what sticks.

Thats it for now, i didnt wanna over load it and talk about if do have two separate forms they just cant be far apart because that is another very juicy idea and i want to do it the justice it deserves. once again thank you for everything i am having a Blast

Hey! I wanted to ask this anonymously first before I embarrassed myself but I just started my first young justice blog and I really need some help coming up with fic ideas, with writing, with a lot of stuff I'm a complete mess, an I was wondering if it's not much trouble, could I get some help?

Hey :)) omg that’s so exciting! looking forward to checking out ur blog :D just saying in advance to hopefully squash any worries and to scale expectations, i’m not the best person with communication and can take a while to respond to messages (also sorry bout the slight delay with answering this one, i do hope u see it i can’t remember if anon questions notifies the sender 😭). I cant guarantee being the most helpful person either but i’d be happy to try to help where/if i can :)

in terms of general advice for fics/writing which i think tbh is the best one (that i use to try to motivate myself to write for fics) is to just start writing! like literally anything, as soon as u feel like even a second of inspiration or motivation just go with the flow. Whether it’s one sentence, a paragraph or 1000 words lol, just putting words on a page is a great start already. It doesn’t need to be perfect at all, my first fic (unposted) ended up being long with multiple chapters and all the writing throughout was so questionable lol but i was and still am so proud of it! It gave me experience and the learning curve was inspiring that i was excited to try to write even more stuff after. I noticed with each chapter i slowly found a rhythm and improved step by step. Even if it’s just tiny things that u learn, it makes all the difference. You 100% learn as u go, even now whenever i post something i’m like damn i could make a million changes or be annoyed/critical at something but ultimately i’m just happy to have posted something to share with others and contribute a little something to a community of people who share the same interests as me :) and that’s rlly all that matters and as u start doing that u can develop more ideas and “what ifs” to explore i.e more fic ideas etc

in terms of structure for working on fics id say it rlly depends on the individual. for me i usually write a rough outline/summary of what the fic is basically about. I usually try to have key details summarised where they all connect until the end of the fic, so that after that’s done, u can then flesh out the individual chapters or paragraphs out better. But things like plot can also really change whilst ur writing! It all boils down to what inspires u to write.

It’s not bad to have no ideas, i think it’s actually super cool for people to start out with a really simple/basic prompt (maybe something like: oh flash family go to a restaurant or zetaflash go to an arcade or outsiders play board games (lol)) something like that and then u can expand on the story with dialog/events/characterisation/description that really fills it up and makes up the chunkier part of the fic where it almost at times feels like it writes itself.

also fics really doesn’t need to be long at all if that’s something u might find intimidating, my stuff tends to be quite wordy because that’s just how i write (as u can see from most of my ask answers where i just go on and on like can i shut up for once? lmfao) if anything, i admire people who can get points/description/stories across through concise writing or short stories! that’s a real impressive skill too

if u want to start writing fics to post, 100% start writing anything, literally anything and eventually u will manage to figure out ur own workflow/style that suits u best :) i’m 100% still learning too, i mean i have yet to finish a multi chapter fic, but by reminding myself that any writing is a good step somewhere, despite the slow progress, i can still be motivated to keep working on it. i hope these general tips managed to help u somewhat 🙏 again rlly looking forward to checking out ur blog <3
