This is the third mask I made this winter (of the second one I did not take pictures).

This is a neko half-mask I made for a friend. It’s got little bells on it :).

I used papier mache for the mask. I painted it with acrylic paint. For the band I used a japanese technique called kumihimo with super soft merino wool strings.

It’s quite comfy, although it smells of acrylic paint.

This week was an emotional roller coaster for me with awesome highs and some significant lows with plenty of confusion inbetween so it was nice to relax and finish this mask while binging the og Avatar the last airbender. :)

It has a great field of view and comes with detachable horns for transportation and padding n straps. ✨✨✨🐲✨✨✨ These masks will be available this Saturday 9am AEDT (Australian Time) in both my Shopify and Etsy stores. Get in quick because I can only take a limited number of orders per week but don’t fret if you miss out, these are going to be a permanent addition to the store so they will be there each Saturday re-stock.

The purple plague mask is complete, and I love how this piece turned out! All the mottling and details the bubble dying made is wonderful, and going with heat treated rivets just makes it look sharp. The color comes from a combination of Fiebing's and Tandy's Eco-flo, which makes a fun mix since Fiebing's is a dark, cool purple, while Tandy's is a brighter, warm purple.
