I found out a reason why we love The Last Wish.
It's Shrek but in a different font. But at the same time, it's not just a lazy copy of Shrek. Take Puss and Perritos' relationship and Shrek and Donkey for example.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How easy could it have been to just copy Shrek and Donkey? The loner man who wants nothing to do with the go-happy and positive outcast. They bond and become best buddies. Not to mention the outcast character helps their friends with their relationship issues with the woman they love. The outcast character talks with the woman and the man and finds ways to help them and strengthen their relationship.
The basics are there but they are done differently.
Puss is more out there. A party animal. He wants to be noticed and he pushes everyone away because he feels afraid of not living up to his legacy and others pulling him down. He's afraid of growing attachments and that can all be summarized in pride and toxic masculinity.
While Shrek wants to be alone and doesn't want anyone to see him. Stays indoors at all times. He pushes everyone away because he knows people will only see him as a monster and nothing else. So no need to waste time forming bonds. People take this as a form of racism.
Perrito is very positive, emotionally smart, and happy. He has a tragic past but he never lets that pull him down. He doesn't let anyone's negative comments pull him down and he helps everyone he can. He's also very innocent-minded and doesn't like to insult anyone unless it's for fun. Naive and kind-hearted.
Donkey is also a happy character but lands more on the dumber side. Nothing wrong with that, we love him for it! It's his charm. He's just as helpful as well. The difference is that Donkey has a lot of sass to him. He's much dirtier and likes to make snarky remarks. He does let things get to him like his tragic past and shows to get jealous a lot. But hey he's a sassy jackass and we love it.
Kitty is a badass at all times and very feminine. She's flirtatious, she's an adventurer, and a loner as well. She's logical and very grounded. She's also struggling with trust, and depression, and is very defensive. She knows what she wants and is very straight-minded. Kinda like Shrek. She isn't a daydreamer and lives in a depressing reality because of the abuse and betrayal she faced.
Fiona is very happy and a dreamer. She always has her head in the clouds and is filled with hope. She sees the good in everyone and is just super kind-hearted and trusting. She does have a tragic past like Kitty but she tends to stay positive and overly kind. And of course very flexible and sometimes easy to persuade. She's just very emotional.
Same roles but different personalities.
What I'm saying is.......... IF WE CAN HAVE A SHREK MUSICAL THEN WE CAN HAVE A LAST WISH MUSICAL!!!! 🤣 It's the exact same basics!!! Just told differently!!!!!
What was the point of this post, I don't know, I just saw a connection and really like musicals. But I also appreciate how they didn't take the lazy route and just remake the Shreks story but with Puss.

[As with all nsfw works all characters are aged up to 18+]
I've had this raddling around my silly little head for a few days but the Billy brain rot was so strong I couldn't verbalize it till now so!!! We all agree Eddie being obsessed with and crushing HARD on cheerleader!reader is great. Gareth having a crush and simping hard for Eddie's girlfriend is great. The only thing better is both at once. Eddie and Gareth both have huge obsessive crushes on you, have for years. They know the idea of having a shot with you is laughable, so they bond over it, over you. There's a good chance they'll be staring at you and talking under their breath about how hot you are, how cute you'd look in the crowd of a corroded coffin show or while they teach you how to play dnd, what you'd be like as a girlfriend, how it would feel to touch you, how good they'd treat you. Somewhere along the line they came to the agreement if one of them ever gets to be with you, they'll put in a good word for the other, see if they can both get a taste.
It's been just over two weeks since you first set your sights on Eddie, asking to meet up for drugs and almost immediately throwing yourself at him. He was so cute, so flustered and shocked that you wanted to do this, that you wanted him. Of course you had no idea about his crush, he's just the only guy at hawkins high that interested you, that has a genuinely good heart. Plus with the way he had you moaning, you never would have guessed that was his first time. In those two weeks you've barely been able to keep your hands off each other, your mutual obsession only growing stronger. You're laying with your chest pressed up against his one evening after losing count of how many times he made you cum. He brushes his thumb along your jaw, holding you close while you trace his tattoos, brains still fuzzy.
"So..." he starts, smiling. It's impossible not to smile when you look at him like that. You bite you lip, smiling back up at him, taking in his features.
"Yeah?" You say softly in a way that makes his chest flutter. He lets out a breathy laugh.
"You know my buddy Gareth?" You think for a moment, unsure if you have the right person. "Uh, brown hair, usually wears a cutoff flannel with safety pins-"
"Oh!" You exclaim softly, "Yeah, I know of him."
"Well... he has a huge crush on you."
"On me?" You ask, imagining all the times you must have missed lingering gazes and wistful sighs.
"Yeah," he says, laughing as you bury your face in his chest, flustered at his words.
"And I was thinking... because we're so close, like, best friends... and we both like you so much," he says, watching your reaction closely to gage how you feel. A sweet smile with a mischievous light behind it appears on your pretty mouth, and he can see the gears turning in hour head. When you speak, your voice is so small and cute he starts to get hard. Again.
"Has he ever..." you trail off, and Eddie’s hesitance is all the answer you need. Eddie was so goddamn cute and desperate and eager when you took his virginity, watching the attachment to you form. You sunk your hooks deep into him, and there was a certain thrill to getting to be the one to turn his theoretical knowledge into something practical, to shape him into the perfect lover - not that you had to do much work. You bite your lip, mind wandering as you think about Gareth, sweet virgin Gareth who has a huge crush on you.
Part of you can't believe you lucked out twice, finding not one but two sweet untouched nerds who are hung as fuck, and the thing that really makes your heart flutter is you know they would be nice to you even if they didn't like you like that. That's what makes you like them so much. But the look on Gareth's face, the way he stumbles back and almost falls over when he shows up in Eddie’s trailer and is met with you bounding over to him and wrapping your arms around his waist is really just the cherry on top.
Of course that will lead exactly where you expect it to, you sandwiched between your two hot dorky boyfriends, certified as queen of the nerds, with Jason Carver (who has been unsuccessfully chasing your tail almost as long as Eddie and Gareth have been pining for you) scratching his head, pissed and left to wonder how the hell the freak and his sidekick got you, the most sought after girl in hawkins, why you chose them to wrap around your pretty fingers.

Onyx Equinox and weapons
Something I find interesting about Onyx Equinox is how the bond between characters is shown through them sharing weapons.
Tumblr media
The best and most obvious example of this is how K'in and Yun have to use the ball together or it won't even work since they share a single soul. The fact that they are able to fight monsters or even just play with it without having to say a single word shows how perfectly in sync they are. Also K'in is the one who tends to hold the ball more often and doesn't want anyone but Yun to touch it, and he clings to it when he's scared because it reminds him of his brother, showing that he's the more anxious and codependent twin, while Yun, as the more kindhearted twin, lets other people play with it or hold it, so it's also a great way to offer some bits of characterization.
Tumblr media
Then you have Yaotl sharing his shield with Izel, which only happens specifically after they grow closer to each other. Izel also immediately knows how to use it because of Yaotl sharing his memories and fighting abilities with him when he offered to use his energy to save him. Yaotl found his humanity again thanks to Izel and Izel became stronger thanks to Yaotl, and sharing the shield really shows how far they've come both as characters and together.
Tumblr media
Finally there's this short moment where Zyanya gives Xanastaku her tepoztli. I'm definitely looking too deeply into this, but that tepoztli belonged to Nhisya, her friend who died when they challenged Mictlantecuhtli, so I do think there's some significance to it. After losing all of her loved ones Zyanya didn't want to form attachments to anyone else so that she wouldn't suffer like that again, but maybe Xanastaku can be the one who manages to bring her out of her shell. They didn't really get a chance to interact or bond with each other, but there does seem to be this understanding between them since they both have a dark past and are trying to redeem themselves. Xanastaku is the one who most consistently shows concern for Zyanya and was the only one who defended her and was sympathetic to her when she came back to help the team, and Zyanya sacrificed her humanity to save her life. Xanastaku was also the one who managed to calm Zyanya down when she was about to attack the team in her monster form. I do think if the show went on they would've grown pretty close.

Daryl calling Laurent creepy seems OOC (except for s1 Daryl) but Daryl was already very cold towards Henry and probably thought he was useless or at least he didnt want to have anything with him. He only cared because he was Carol's kid.
He barely shared any scenes with Carl and when he said " i would have died for him" ir was, to me, only becaise it was Rick's kid. In that regard, he would have died for Henry too.
The only kids he really cares about are are Judith and RJ because he actually had time to have a growing bond with them.
Even Sophia, he only went though hell to find her because he was really, deeply, though unable to admit it at the time, devoted to Carol. If he had time to bond with her, that would have been different (with Carl though, they had 8 seasons, and no excuse : bad writing. Thank God they fixed it with Judith mainly, and RJ).
All this to say that he doesnt have "a thing" for kids, to me. But Laurent is probably gonna change that, and well, Aaron sid say "you re going to be a gread dad one day" or something like that so.. this has to led somewhere, even 10 000 seasons later, right?
I dont think he's gonna find Laurent creepy anymore after a few eps. He s probably gonna care for him a lot. Laurent is mysterious and interesting to me.
And i dont mind anyway, as long as the endgame is Caryl and team family.
Just my two cents of course
Well, I think Daryl was more agitated that he had to look after the kid Carol adopted with another man rather than at Henry's naivety, but yes, he did it for Carol. If we choose to accept deleted scenes as canon, we could say Daryl wasn't very kind to Sophia or Carl at first. I don't think he had the skillset to deal with kids in the early days of the show, but his bond with Carol and with Rick taught him how to bond/ look after their children. Then there's Lydia, who he also wasn't kind to at first, but she was introduced as an antagonist, so that explains that. With Laurent though, Daryl's attitude reads as insensitive to me, and since the kid isn't presenting himself as a threat and he doesn't belong to someone he's had time to form a bond with, I'm just not sure what's prompting it. It feels off.
I'm not saying their relationship won't grow. Of course it will. But we're meant to believe he'll grow so attached to him, he starts to feel torn between his family back home and the new connections he's made. That's what the synopsis suggested, didn't it? That's what gives me pause. Because Daryl is a character known for his loyalty (to TF) and for taking a long time to form meaningful attachments. So I'm very skeptical a bond that deep between Daryl and Laurent can be properly earned in 6 episodes. I expect it to feel forced and I expect it to undermine what makes Daryl Daryl to me and to cheapen the endgame for Caryl and for TF. If the next 5 episodes prove otherwise, I'll gladly take it, but that is my biggest concern at the moment.
Thank you for dropping in your two cents. I appreciate it!

Well, I've talked a lot with someone who thinks Steven Grant is a recreation of Marc's brother. Trying to get him to understand my point of view, I don't know whether he understood it or not. But I'm against his idea, Steven is a completely new person and he's just himself, not someone else's replacement, both because it wouldn't be fair to Steven and because I very much doubt he could be. I explain why. Steven was created from Marc's mind, in the series it is noted that he is inspired by the character of a film that gave him courage, that reassured him, therefore not his brother, otherwise he would have been called Roro, or in any case with a similar name or that, vaguely, it remembered, and not Steven. Regardless, the mind creates an extension of a personality. As children, the personality has not yet been fully created, it is not finished, it is in its infancy, its cycle ends in the first years of adolescence; but as children, the personality is formed through the knowledge and relationships that one has in childhood, which in itself is very problematic for Marc due to his family situation. Thus, his mind tries to compensate for this lack of stability and also for all the excessive pain, thus creating Steven. However, not having much knowledge in psychology, I will discuss this through my hypotheses. Steven, even though he's scared, faces it, just as reported on the poster in the room, this is because Marc, having no one, and being a scared child; he needed a figure who would protect him, who would give him security and who would be kind. His brain captured it, it perceived this need, and that's why Steven was born, the brain created him, yes, but then the rest took shape by itself, Steven built himself as a person in himself like anyone in this world. It's only as children grow up and into their teens that they begin to flesh out their own being and who they are and who they identify with, but that doesn't change the fact that Steven wasn't born to be a replacement for Roro, but a friend and a protector who would help Marc breathe and find a few moments of peace thanks to his presence. In addition, it would seem strange to me that Marc's brain creates a person inspired by the cause of his trauma, namely Roro; it would be more normal for him to distance himself from it, and in fact he clung to the fictitious and fearless and reckless figure of a protagonist of a film that Marc loved very much and that he adored playing. It gave him security to be that doctor Grant, he played at being one when his childhood was simpler, so it is normal that, since he was so attached to it and at a time when everything was happier, the brain took that name to give it to the person he created later, giving Marc physical support and psychological that he lacked. I'm not saying that Roro was the trauma, I'm saying that it was in any case the cause, that Marc's brain identified it as the reason why it all started, therefore the first and fundamental cause of pain, and consequently, the brain, the he would push away, keeping him away from Marc to protect him and protect itself. Thus, Steven cannot be replacement for Roro but a different person, born, alive and self-aware, like anyone else, bonded to Marc only for his duty to protect him.
Perhaps, unconsciously, Marc had also begun to hate Roro, given everything that happened to him. He would make sense, he certainly didn't feel it consciously, he was drowning in guilt, but somewhere inside, he must have started to hate him. He was just a child, he felt daily fear of staying at home, he was distressed in those walls, and he suffered. And feelings like pain, loneliness and anger can easily turn into hatred. Quoting a great sage, Yoda: "Fear leads to anger, anger to hate; hate leads to suffering." That could be what happened to Marc, either with Roro unconsciously, or with his mother knowingly. He hated them for the pain they had caused him, but he also loved them for what they meant to him, and he grieved for what had happened to them both, a fault that was not his and that broke him. And these feelings were very strong, destructive enough that he could not allow Marc's mind to create a copy of a brother who tormented him every day at the hands of his mother. So, Steven is not Roro's replacement and he never was, he was and always has been the anchor created to drive away that vortex of cold dark. A bit like the rainbow after the rain, he was born for the sole and simple sense of existing and of being a warm and reassuring light.
But not necessarily unconsciously, maybe the more Marc suffered the more he harbored anger that he segregated inside with force, and then he hated himself but he also hated Roro and his mother, and this feeling then led him to hate himself more, to suffer more, to blame himself with greater frenzy. Then there was Steven who put a stop to everything though, certainly Jake too. Unconsciously or not, he must have hated him. At least a little, just enough not to go crazy. He was constantly nagged, and he was just a kid, all that guilt was too big a burden to carry on his own, and Steven didn't carry a piece of it even though it lightened it anyway, but Marc was the one who kept it all, always, everyday. So Marc had to take a minute to point his finger at Roro, at least for a second to feel better. Only this must have only worsened his mental state, broken him again. Maybe that's how Jake was born.
In the comics it's already more different, Roro doesn't die as a child, but Marc still creates Steven, who is always kind and good. There the discourse is already more complicated or perhaps similar, Marc always creates Steven as a response to trauma, to create a shield, and therefore distance himself, from the horrible events he experienced with his "uncle". Then, of course, everyone can think as he wants, for me it is clear that Steven is only Steven, a person apart from Marc and Roro. However, perhaps people with DID, or psychologists, would explain it better than me.

Hey hey, I'm gonna do this here, because the text would be too long for the answer box below your post and I really don't wanna spam, so I'll just... yeah, do it here, if that's alright with you ^^
So, basically I got this character in mind, that grew up in the apocalypse and is 20 by the end of the game. She had a name given to her by her parents, but after losing them in the very early days of humanity's downfall, she kinda 'forgot' it. Not really, but she just didn't use it as often anymore, since she actually almost never met any other people after losing her parents.
The only thing she has left, is her little Golden Retriever dog, that she protects with her life (and vice versa). The girl is all he knows and even though he is well trained from the start thanks to her parents, he is very protective of her, resulting in some... not so pleasant situations with strangers.
The name of the dog is still debatable xD I'm thinking about calling him Rosso or Rufus, but haven't decided yet.
Anyway, they try to survive together, living of everything they can find and taking whatever they can to live a somewhat comfortable life together.
As they grow up, with the help of a few people they meet on the way but leave again, the girl and the dog become real survivors, developing certain routines when scouting out the area or when trying to reach food, that seems a bit risky to take.
They develop a strong bond and the girl has been given many names by the people they met now, never saying what her real name was and never telling anyone, what happened to her family. She wants to leave that all behind, even though she tries to keep the memory of her parents.
At one point, the girl and the dog even meet the Ericson Kids, but after a few days of staying there, talking to them and even helping 'em out, she leaves again (making her dog pretty sad, since he got to be good friends with Rosie).
But she decided for herself, that she's not made for groups and that her dog is all she needs.
After a few more years, her dog is 14 years old by then, he becomes really sick though. He couldn't walk that much before that, but now he can barely move a muscle without feeling pain. They travel one last time together, until they reach their hometown, where everything began.
The dog passes away after a few more hours there and the girl, well, young woman, is on her own again. For the first time since the apocalypse started. She buries the dog and gives him a nice little tree for his eternal rest, then she mourns him and leaves the next morning.
After being alone for some time, she finds herself in a big city, where she's looking for food. In a dumpster, she finds a young puppy, who's been abandoned by his mother and littermates. So she takes him with her, training him, guiding him, until he's big enough to defend himself. She gives him the choice to come with him or leave, but as attached as he already is to her, he follows her.
Just like her first dog did all those years ago. And with them, the story continues.
Well, these are my thoughts on her so far, thanks for listening ^^
So sorry, I just got to this as this month has been a very busy one for me!!!
I love this!! There’s a lot to be told with this story, the poor babies. Honestly in the apocalypse things get real fucked up to where you question if you can really put your trust in humanity, however no matter the given situation you can always rely on a furry friend.
I know throughout the series there hasn’t been any good luck with animals but in a case where you can have time to form a connection with them is all the more heartwarming! Ugh it does break my heart, but I’m so glad she has another puppy to take care of here! 😭😭 Thank you for sharing! I would love to hear more in the future! <3

Hii friend, I saw you’re watching Season8 and wanted to know what you’re overall thoughts on Benny were!
good morning amigo :-) this got long so ->
well first of all i have to preface my opinions on any other characters with the disclaimer that this whole show is a vehicle for Brothers to me so i do view pretty much every other character through the lens of "what does this say about Sam And Dean". lol.
anyway with that context i did like benny! i think he was a fun character and i could see myself enjoying him if he was the protag of his own vampire show. i like a louisiana accent lol and his backstory seems like it would be interesting to build on :-)
but yeah mostly in the context of spn i think its fun to think about the implications of his and dean's relationship on dean and sam's relationship lol, and also more generally dean's relationship with Other Men™. it's unusual to see dean form any kind of bond with anyone, at this point, but especially a pretty close male friendship that he actually let interrupt things with sam for a bit. to me, i see his rship with benny as starting off as a necessity and growing into trying to fill a gap (because that's how i see all his relationships basically) that sam's absence created - then when they get out of purgatory together of course there's an attachment, this guy has been through some specific shit with him that sam has not and the only other person who was there for some of it (cas) isn't around. makes total sense for dean to cling on and naturally i fucking loooove that benny is posited as dean's parallel to sam's relationship with amelia. as a wincest main it's just so fascinating how much friction the presence of anybody else brings to their relationship and them breaking up with their temporary partners to go back to each other???? does a lot for me. lmfao. i think sam was definitely deeply jealous, not strictly of benny as an individual but what he represents for dean, and dean is like.. hurt and lonely and traumatised (again), feeling abandoned by sam and all the more defensive of benny/their relationship because of it - because benny was there when sam wasn't. and i think a lot of sam's pushback is out of guilt as well as jealousy - using the "he's a vampire" shit as a cover, though idk maybe he's also a little bitter about the times dean has made him kill monsters he didn't think deserved it. dean IS a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to benny, in that regard, and i feel like sam struggles with Dean's Behaviour more than benny as an individual lol.
but all that said!!! i would probably enjoy reading fic where dean has a thing with benny and i can def understand the appeal of shipping them for their own sake. i don't have a set hc on dean's sexuality but if i do read him as being into men in general (as opposed to just sam) i would consider benny his type, lol, and i'd definitely be interested in seeing their relationship explored further :~)
so yeah there u go. overall thoughts on benny (so far at least - i'm still working on s8) are: neat guy, i like him <3

7. Are you in love? Do you want to be?
I'm not in love currently with anyone currently. i think it would be nice, but love for someone takes time and i'm in no rush. these things will come naturally. besides i do admit that im in love with life lol live laugh and love ✌🏻🤪
17. did you have imaginary friends? do you still have them?
i didn't have imaginary friends, but i did daydream a lot about going on adventures in many different settings. from my own ideas to different fictional worlds. i also liked to make up characters and stories (on my own or with my friends) so that could maaaaybe count??? idk??? some characters i still draw from to time today i guess lol
27. are you afraid of growing old?
not at all. the only thing im afraid of is becoming someone i don't really want to be or someone that doesn't align with what i hope i'll be. does that make sense? i do admit tho that time is a very strange concept and it makes me sometimes nostalgic for the past. besides growing old means nothing more than that youve entered a new stage in life. ure the same but completely different and wiser and just more selfassured/care less.
37. do opposites attract?
sure. depends tho on how opposite they are to each other and if it's going to work out. i mean the opposite of yourself may be super interesting at first, but there is things that do have to align in order for the relationship to grow. or at least both parties have to be open enough to accept and change with the other. like at least in ideals, politics etc. has to have a common ground.
47. do you have to suffer to truly understand the human condition?how can you really experience it?
eh i think thats pretty much up to the person themselves. like why does someone have to suffer in order to understand the human condition? what is there to suffer about? we exist and we are the most human every second of our existence, in any state of mind be it suffering or feeling happy. personally i think the best way to understand the human condition is when you look at a person petting an animal or hugging someone they love. i think we became intelligent because we started caring for and bonding with each other. i mean why else do we have pets??? suffering sounds romantic and it sounds smart/realistic to attribute it to human condition. (suffering still being somewhat too romanticized today ngl) though the human condition can be experienced and understood by just existing in whatever condition.
57. do you think humans are obsessed with escapism? are you looking for an escape? do you think it's a bad thing?
yes. especially today were all very very much so obsessed with escapism even more so due to the fact that all media is always and at any time ready to be consumed. we have become so attached to so many forms of escapism that we forget to face ourselves and would rather continue doing whatever else. i dont think escapism is bad though because everyone needs it once in a while. be it through daydreaming or books or hobbies or whatever. i sometimes also look for an escape. the way we live today makes it very, very hard to confront reality as reality has become a very TIRING mixture of bad news, constant barrage of information at all times, constant pressure from work and so on and so on. and due to being constantly exhausted by something around us, we 'need' these breaks more and more often. bruh idk im rambling rn
89. if you lost all your memories would you still have the same personality?
no. because i am my memories, my experience, the people in my life. i may have the genetic personality traits, which came from my ancestors, that may be a part of me anyway, but never again will i be the same again. the new memories and experiences id make, may be completely different from the lost ones and thus id be a new person. maybe the memories and experiences and people all develop the same way but they would still be new to me and i may react to them in a new way and become a new person anyway. in short: you are who you are because of your memories and experience that have been formed by your surroundings and the many people that have come and gone in your life.
thank u so much for sending these!!! if i seem incoherent and like i make no sense, its bc i licherally got rlly sleepy midway thru but had too many ideas that id forget by tomorrow. so <3

You're definitely not the only one!!! 💀 there are few exceptions where the movie adaption has turned put pretty good actually (lotr for example) but something is ALWAYS butchered up in conparison to when you read it. The original medium is a book, so everything in this book is exactly how the content creator wanted it to be and when you as the reader love the worlds and characters and plot they have created alone with words and sentences, when you have built your own picture of everything, of COURSE the imagination of someone else (additionally restricted by the medium film cause while movies obviously grant other possibilities than books, e.g. music, the story wasn't made for it) is not equivalent to the world one has created by themselves. Also this might just be me but 99% of all times the actors do NOT fit the visual of the characters I have thought of and this - at least for me - takes a big part of the fun (for examply Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice or the cast in Emma). ALSO when the script cuts minor (or even major scenes ugh) and they sometimes even have the sheer audacity to change the story and add their own plot??? ALSO when the whole atmosphere of the movie is so very different from what I felt while reading because of the director's personal interpretation (here I'm thinking about Polanski's take on Oliver Twist which was so dark and gruesome because of his own ghetto experiences) hjvtr I'm quite sorry, this became a whole rant but it's a topic that often annoys me deeply 😭🤣💀
no, no, no please rant because this is one of, if not the, biggest pet peeves of mine and it makes me so frustrated every. time. >:(
the thing is, something will have to change, as you said, and that tips the balance more often than not. I understand that directors have the creative freedom and blah blah but PLEASE just call the thing a spin-off if you’re gonna change so much 🤦‍♀️ I hate it. I hate it so much 😭
[big rant ahead whoops 🤪]
I’m a huge fan of a series of unfortunate events, the books obviously, and oh my god, when I tell you the netflix series made me angry, I’m not exaggerating. the opening sequence was good, I’ll give them that, but other than that, everything about the show made me upset (my sister was a huge fan of it, which is why I was forced to watch it and grumble about how this and that were different in the books 🥴). characters that were supposed to be dead were alive, side characters in the books suddenly became crucial acting characters in the plot, original events were altered or entirely removed, new events were added, the original sequence of events was put in a blender and then laid out- and I can go on and on about how the series largely differs from the actual books, but that’s not the worst part. a series of unfortunate events was fun to read because of the series of unfortunate events that occur relentlessly (you can guess where the title came from wink wonk 🤪) but also because of the narrator. the books are narrated by the author, lemony snicket (that is not his real name, lemony is also a character in the series), and his narration added so much to the books. the style, the rhyme, the metaphors, and the references, reading a series of unfortunate events was an experience because you don’t find that kind of narration everywhere. that, unfortunately, was not present in the tv series and it took away so much from the story. it made the series bland :/
and yes, visual representations! let’s talk about that. what’s with directors ignoring character descriptions 😐 it’s fine if your actor isn’t an exact replica of the character, but it’s questionable when the actor doesn’t even fit most of character’s main physical traits 💀 it shows how half of the people responsible for making these adaptations don’t even read the books. and yes I’m talking about the casting for agatha in the school for good and evil and I’m not sorry about it. the girl has been described one way throughout the series and illustrated as such on the covers only for the casting director to pick the exact opposite 👁👄👁 why? I feel personally violated because these are characters I grew up with. next thing I know they’ll make reena white 💀 it’s like all this time, the descriptions in the books were telling you something and based on that you created this character in your head then bam! your entire world is a lie. and it’s even worse when they put these inaccurate actors’ characters on the covers of the books...just don’t do it. it’s cringeworthy, and it has to stop. please. you can ruin things on the screen but leave the goddamn books alone, I’m literally begging 🤲
OH AND ALSO? THE CHEAP AND POOR REPRESENTATION OF CLOTHING. IF YOU WANT TO ADAPT FANTASY THEN YOU BETTER BE READY TO MAKE CLOTHES THAT DON’T LOOK LIKE COSTUMES FROM DAISO. FULL STOP.
another thing that bothers me so much is the media’s need to create romance and sexualize things, it’s a thirst at this point. through books, delicate and complex relationships are portrayed in a way a screen can’t show you in limited time, amid crammed events. there is a certain beauty in the way some characters interact that’s easy, so easy, to mess up on screen. the unnecessary sexualization just destroys it. the random romance ruins it. there’s almost no respect for these relationships. take kaz and inej from six of crows as an example. the two have traumas that hold them back and they try to overcome them throughout the duology for each other. in the end, they don’t kiss, they don’t [censored], but the intimacy between them is illustrated through kaz cleaning inej’s wounds with his bare hands, through inej letting him do that for her, through kaz not holding her back and instead using his resources to aid her dreams, through inej knowing that kaz will come for her whenever and wherever, through them being vulnerable with each other. it’s something so fragile, beautiful, and pure and I know, I just know, they will be having a heated make out scene in the second episode of that future netflix series, and it makes me so upset.
and I get it, it’s exciting for some to see their favorite characters on screen and be able to share this with the wider non-reader audience but 😔 I just think it’s sad and frankly offensive to the readers when this so called adaptation is nothing like the books. and yes, movies will never do the books justice, which is why I never watch them if I’m a fan of the books. I don’t want to have them ruined by someone’s quick cash grab project 🤐

Hi! I was wondering
How do you think Hashirama and Madara would be in a Road to Ninja version?
I remember once reading a Hashimada fic (which I never finished RIP) that was about Madara appearing in the RTN universe and the 3 things that stucked with me were:
1.- Madara was the first Hokage (something that Madara thought was horrible when he saw his sculpted face on the Hokage mountain 🤣)
And personally I think that it would not have been like that even in the RTN universe because we didn't see his face along with the other faces of Hokages in the movie (Yeah, apparently I'm basing myself on a movie which I'm not even sure if it's canon or not, even though Kishimoto wrote it) and the RTN characters didn't seem to even know who Madara is.
2.- Hashirama having his bowlcut as an adult
And I agree with the Madara from that fanfic, it looks awful on him. Hashirama, babe, I'm sorry but the only ones who can rock that style are Guy Sensei and Rock Lee, I know you just were trying to be cool but it doesn't suite you.
3.- Tobirama was a porn writer
Instead of being a fan of forbidden jutsu and creating justus, he wrote porn novels a la Jiraiya. And I'll hold that headcanon with my dead hands.
The only other fanfic that places the founders in the RTN universe is one where the protagonist is Mito (it's an interesting one-shot that pairs her with Itama 🤔)
She was kind of a shy person 🤔? And so it was Tobirama 🤣 which I found fun.
Hashirama, as the first fanfic I mentioned, was the Tobirama of the place (saddenly Madara wasn't in this fic).
So I would like to know what are your versions of the founders (or only Hashirama and Madara if it is too much) in the RTN universe! And how do you think things would be
Hmm, RTN is an interesting concept to me but, to be honest, I don't think Konoha would exist if a lot of personalities got flipped 😂 I haven't read any RTN fics with the founders, but if you, or anyone else, have links at hand I'd love to check them out 👀
1. Madara
Here's the big one and the crux of why I don't think the village would exist. Typically I characterize Madara as an extremely responsible man who internalizes things when he shouldn't, takes himself way too seriously, is aggressive and abrasive even to people he loves sometimes, but genuinely loves the people closest too him. Reversing this would make a character that slacks off, takes no responsibility, and is completely passive in life and has fleeting attachments to others around him. Assuming he wouldn't die on the battlefield, I could see the RTN "alternate" personality coming about of Madara's being so overpowered and competent that he loses interest and distances himself from things before he can get attached and lose them.
It makes building a village very hard though. (At first I was tempted to go RTN Sasuke route and maybe RTN!Madara is a little more openly flirty than canon!Madara, but the passivity and refusal to take responsibility would be the "core" qualities for me.)
2. Hashirama
Hashirama is a bit weird because he has a lot of surface-level "conflicting" traits in canon. He is optimistic but he pushes beyond his natural attitude and uses it as a mask to hide instead of addressing his feelings. He's mischievous, likes jokes and games, and can be a bit hedonistic with his pleasure but can equally be serious when necessary and will willingly sacrifice for others around him. And simultaneously, Hashirama and Madara are connected by a shared sense of idealism but also anger. Hashirama is a very kind, but extremely angry, man. I think a RTN!Hashirama would share a kind of apathy of RTN!Madara but instead of passivity his lack of anger would manifest as cruelty. Because canon!Hashirama is angry but his anger is usually a righteous kind. I don't think RTN!Hashirama would go out of his way to be cruel, but he doesn't have the empathy of canon!Hashirama, especially to others' suffering. He enjoys fighting just a bit too much and has no qualms about killing. In his mind, he should always come first in any situation and prioritizing (or even considering) others' is effort and him going out of his way to be "nice" and the other should be thankful. Similarly if he feels any negative emotion, he won't bottle it up and swallow it down, he'll immediately address it, usually confrontationally. RTN!Hashirama is as intelligent as his canon counterpart but he doesn't suffer fools and he hates it when people underestimate him. He's pretty proud and vain, tbh.
I really don't think the above would make him the "Tobirama" of RTN verse. To me Hashirama and Tobirama have different core values and perspectives and inverting Hashirama's doesn't make it become Tobirama's, if that makes sense. This one is also wordy bc I immediately knew how RTN!Madara would be RTN!Hashirama is a bit harder to pin down. But I hope it's clear why I have doubts about the village existing...maybe if RTN!Hashirama got it in his mind as a pet project for the hell of it, that he'd be a better leader for the country and not just the Senju alone, and RTN!Madara liked the idea of no responsibility and being able to detach even further than he already was? But that's still kind of grasping for a reason.
3. Hashimada
Equally I think any Hashirama/Madara relationship would be ehhh. They definitely wouldn't have the overwhelming bond of their canon counterparts, and it could be a relationship ripe for unhappiness. The closest I can think of to making the ship work is RTN!Madara would be drawn to Hashirama's absurd level of self-confidence and able to let the casual cruelty slide off instead of getting worked up about it. In a way RTN!Hashirama is stable and predictable. If he's pretty overpowered, there's less of a chance RTN!Madara would lose him, so their relationship isn't deep but it's more or less dependable and Madara knows exactly what he's going to get. In contrast RTN!Hashirama has an audience in the form of RTN!Madara and a partner that's not going to push back against his ideas. RTN!Madara doesn't ask for much and he doesn't complain when RTN!Hashirama puts himself first. He doesn't want, or might not be capable of, the deep emotional bond their canon counterparts have. RTN!Madara wouldn't leave Konoha (if it existed) in the AU, because he doesn't really care. If someone upset RTN!Hashirama and he decided to leave to 'do it right' RTN!Madara would probably follow, maybe out of some loyalty for RTN!Hashirama but mostly because it's what's easiest.
4. Tobirama
The core of Tobirama's character to me is prioritizing logic over emotion and both a conscious and unconscious failure to realize he can't completely eliminate emotion. Tobirama loves his brother, he's curious and has a desire to find out what makes things work and is willing to bend morality to get results if it'll serve a greater good. He's very aware of the unfairness of the world but believes it's an unspoken truth of humanity and can only be mitigated through logical means, but never completely erased. He'll be the sacrificial lamb, the one that works in shadows so his brother can have his utopian dream. Despite everything, he loves his genin, the strongest bonds he has aside from Hashirama, and does try to instill in them lessons he think will help them and lead to peace and stability in the village. He's still influenced by the prejudices of his time and can never find it in him to truly forgive the Uchiha.
A RTN!Tobirama would be a man ruled by emotion. Him writing erotica all day definitely could be one way this manifests lol. But overall he's sensitive and spiritual and can't stand the idea of killing. He and RTN!Hashirama don't get along and he actively tries to avoid his brother. RTN!Tobirama has equally strong principles as canon!Tobirama, but they're pacifist in nature and while he likes his studies, he prefers to be out talking to people and learning from them first hand. He's very naive and can be easily taken advantage of and he has trouble focusing on any one thing for too long. No matter how many times this happens, he never can harden his heart or be overly suspicious of others. RTN!Tobirama would most likely be the one support peace in this AU. He embraces the Uchiha and all the Senjus past enemies with open arms, almost to a foolish degree. It'd be a bad idea if he became hokage in this AU because he's a terrible negotiator and has a bad people-pleasing streak and struggles with long-term tactics. With the exception of RTN!Hashirama, who he considers an aberration who doesn't have a soul, humans at their core all have good intentions at heart.
5. Mito
I characterize Mito as a very level-headed woman. Her marriage to Hashirama is political in nature but they grow to be good friends and she never expected to fall in love and she's glad Hashirama didn't want a traditional wife. Mito is devoted to her community work (she works hands-on with people in the village), she seeks out connections with others and, despite the distance, remains close with her family in Uzushio, constantly writing them letters. She's spiritual and follows the Uzumakis' beliefs (not gonna list this OoT spoiler lol) and studies fuinjutsu in her spare time, something she's done since she was a child. She is willing to sacrifice if it meant protecting something she considered greater than herself, much to her own personal detriment. She loves and is proud of her children and grandchildren, but if she had a choice, she would have chosen to remain childless, she finds her true calling elsewhere.
RTN!Mito, similarly to RTN!Tobirama, is ruled by emotions. She dreams of one day making a good marriage for herself and centers romance and being a mother as her ideal life, but she's extremely picky when it comes picking the perfect husband. RTN!Mito knows how much she's worth and she refuses to settle and will not even entertain the idea of an arranged marriage. She has a hard time forming long-lasting, deep bonds with other people and views starting her own family as the solution to this problem. At times she can be a bit absent-minded and unintentionally selfish, but she's not actively malicious. She blusters a lot and depending on the situation can come off as cold and uncaring, but it's only to hide the depth of her true feelings and loneliness. In this AU she would absolutely refuse to marriage RTN!Hashirama. Nothing on hell or earth, could make her change her mind.
Mito is such a blank-slate character it feels like writing an oc more than a canon character, tbh. And this is something I don't see brought up a lot but a "heart full of love" to combat the kyuubi's hatred to me has never been exclusive to romantic or familial (to children) love. *cough* I want a complex female character who's not vilified for not wanting to have children and/or regretting having them *cough* Mito's "love" was for the people of Konoha and Uzushio. My personal headcanon regarding her and Hashirama's child (I don't think she had more than one) was that she was dedicated to her son, but quickly realized being a mother wasn't her dream or something she even actively liked. The kid was well-cared for and she was dutiful towards him, but Hashirama was the parent that loved and embraced him with his whole heart and it led to some tension between Mito and her son as the kid could tell the difference and neither of them were "wrong" to feel the way they did. This is why Tsunade was shown with Hashirama instead of Mito, he was a lot more present in her life when she was young (instead of Kishi just not having made Mito as a character yet). But after Hashirama and Tsunade's dad died (and then Nawaki), she and Mito grew close but it was definitely more of a friendship or student/mentor relationship rather than a traditional grandmother/granddaughter relationship but both were satisfied with it and loved eachother. Likewise I didn't want RTN!Mito's characterization to be shallow and hit misogynistic undertones with her being an "opposite" to Mito's calm, level-headed, focused on her work/passions characterization.
6. Closing thoughts
#1: Wow this got long #2: I feel conflicted about RTN because it seemed to flip surface-level characteristics instead of deep characterizations, and ignored flaws altogether. The ones above, esp. Hashirama and Madara's, are kind of dark in a way? But that's the only way it makes sense to me...Gai and Lee caring about style and being stylish is a funny joke but if you were to actually poke and prod and say their personalities were inverted, neither of them would be top-notch ninja as we know...unless I'm just completely misremembering RTN because I realize it's been years since I saw it lol. Anyway, hope this was entertaining!

You know I remembered a funny thing. We all know how Toph can feel someone's emotions or if they're telling the truth, right? 🤔
She even teases Katara at couple of occasions. One time with Jet and second one being about Haru. Always accusing Katara liking the guys - and she was dam right about Jet, Katara DID use to have a crush on him.
And Zutarians use this concept a lot, too. "Haha, Toph KNOWS" is a really funny and wholesome shipping fuel which I personally enjoy sometimes. Overall, Toph's role in Zutara shipping territory is pretty strong with Katara (and Zuko sometimes) being in denial and Toph being a sly fox she is.
But you know what? I haven't seen this concept used in the terms of Kataang. Not even in the show. ESPECIALLY not in the show. Random people were telling Aang Katara will "come around", but it was never Toph who could've just FEEL it, you know. Maybe give the viewer a little retrospective of Katara's feelings towards the protagonist. A little ship hint from maybe Katara's side and not Aang's for once. No. Nothing.
And yet they tend to get surprised how not everyone's seen K@taang coming. Even the freaking show and Brykes with their favourite "ship tease uwu do you like him/her? is that your bf/gf?? uwu" kind of writing didn't do that correctly. The only one who's been accusing Katara in liking Aang was Sokka. And Katara. Wasn't. Even. Emberassed. But simply brushed it off, NOT being in denial.
She just never liked Aang this way. Nothing for Toph to tease about. Nothing for Katara to deny. Mic drop.
I have nothing to add. You are absolutely right 😂😂😂😂😂

I'm about to make someone mad with this...
Sometimes someone will tell me that they don't like Kataang, but they would be sad if the air kids didn't exist.
I can't relate. If Katara's kids with Aang didn't exist, I would be just fine with it, quite honestly. Especially if it means no Meelo.
What little (very little) development Kya and Bumi get suggests that they didn't have the happiest home life growing up, and that the unhappiness of their childhoods haunts them well into their 50s and 60s. Which sucks, and I'd be fine with that plot line not being a thing...Also, so little time gets spent with Kya and Bumi that I didn't really form an attachment to them, so I can imagine a world without them just fine. No sad kids? No boring plots? Sign me up!
Tenzin is...fine. I like him for what he is- a wise mentor figure who learns as much from his student as she did from him. That's cool. That's also a role that could be filled by anyone. Him being Katara's son has nothing to do with their bond, though, even though it should have. Tenzin could have related to Korra on how hard it is to reconcile Southern Water Tribe traditions with Air Nomad philosophy and how it affects learning air bending. Korra could have been comforted by Tenzin's Water Tribe artifacts when she goes to live with him. Tenzin could have told Korra stories about Katara's younger years (you know, in a universe where Katara is allowed to actually do something with her life after the war...but I die Greg).
We don't get any of that, though. There is nothing in Tenzin or his family that marks them as part Water Tribe. Not in looks, not in traditions, not even in their relationship with Katara. Anyone could be Tenzin's mother, and nothing substantial would change at all.
Now, if you want to talk about Kya, Bumi and Tenzin being Zuko's step kids and how that would change their lives forever, I'm absolutely down for that. But I don't need.
TL;DR Brkye wrote the Kataang kids and grandkids as a bunch of basic characters that don't really need to exist to move the story along, and I'm fine with obliterating them from my own personal head canons.

Aching head. Sore limbs. It was far, far too hot, but she couldn't stop shivering. Katara was ill. Miserably so.
"Katara?" Aang shouted through the closed door. "Are you still sleeping?" He knocked at the door, but to Katara it felt as if he were hitting her directly in the head with a block of wood and shouting in her ear.
"Ooooh!" Katara groaned miserably. Aang must have heard her because he paused.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"No," Katara replied. Her throat was scratchy and sore. "I'm sick."
"Oh..." Aang paused another moment. "Do you need more frogs? I don't think they live in the Fire Nation, but...I could ask Zuko."
"Fine," Katara huffed. It went quiet. Katara assumed Aang had left and she was beginning to drift off again, when there was another knock at the door, softer this time.
"Hey, Katara?" Aang called softly through the door. "What about breakfast?"
"Ask someone else!" Katara snapped. "Or you do it!" Another long pause.
"Okay, it's just that everyone else is busy, and I don’t know how to cook-" Whatever else he was saying was lost in an aggravated growl as Katara pulled herself out of bed and stormed across the room. She yanked the door open and pushed past Aang irritably, ignoring his gasp as she made her way to the kitchen.
One meal. They couldn't handle one meal without her. Katara paused outside of the kitchen and took a deep breath. After all, sick or not, meals needed to be made. Her mother and grandmother didn't take days off, and neither, it seemed, would she. With that philosophizing done, Katara squared shoulders and pushed the door open.
"Are you ok?" Zuko’s voice startled Katara. She whirled around too fast and felt the floor shift under her feet.
"...woah..." Katara stumbled and grasped for the door frame. Zuko took her elbows and steadied her. His brows drew down in concern when he got a good look at her. Her nose was red, and there were dark circles under her eyes. Her hair had escaped her braid in wisps that clung to her sweaty, clammy skin. Zuko pressed the back of his hand to her forehead and frowned.
"You're sick," he pronounced. Katara rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"You're a genius," she said. Her stuffy nose gave her voice a nasally tone that undercut her sarcasm, but only a little. Zuko shook his head and guided her away from the kitchen.
"Let's get you back to bed," he said.
"I have to make breakfast!" Katara protested. Zuko paused and looked at her in surprise.
"That's crazy! You can barely stand," he said.
"It doesn't matter." Katara tried to shake him off, but there was no strength in it. "You all need to eat."
"So ask someone else!" Zuko stared at her as if she'd started speaking a foreign language. Katara shook her head.
"There's no one else to ask. I asked Aang, and he said everyone was busy, and he can't cook."
"That's ridiculous," Zuko rolled his eyes skywards. "Everyone except maybe Toph is perfectly capable of getting something on the table."
"Sokka's cooking tastes awful," Katara said. "I don't know if Suki can cook."
"What does Sokka usually make when it's his turn to cook?" Zuko asked.
"Ha!" Katara scoffed. "His turn to cook. You've been with us for three weeks. It's always my turn to cook." Zuko hadn't noticed. Before his excursion with Katara a few days earlier, he hadn't paid much attention to the division of labor in the camp. Now that he was thinking of it, though, he never saw anyone except Katara cooking, or washing clothes, or mending. And she did all of that on top of training Aang and keeping up with her own practice. When, Zuko wondered, did she find the time to sleep?
"Zuko?" Katara's voice cut through the young prince's thoughts. She was staring up at him in confusion, her arm still in his grip.
"Sorry," he muttered. "Listen, don't worry about breakfast- don't worry about cooking at all for a few days. I've got it covered."
"But I-"
"You need to rest," Zuko said firmly. "And I can keep everyone fed."
"Aang doesn't eat meat," Katara reminded him, finally allowing herself to be guided back to her room.
"I know." Zuko waited for Katara to lay down and pulled the blankets up around her chin. She was shivering from a chill only she could feel. "I'll bring you some tea and soup in a bit." Katara smiled weakly, but she was already drifting off to sleep. By the time Zuko stepped out into the hall and shut the door gently behind him, she was already snoring lightly. Zuko turned away from room and huffed out a plume of flame. He was glad for the heavy wooden doors of his family's summer home. Things were about to get very loud in a few moments.
-:-:-:-:-:-:-
Katara woke to the light clatter of a glass being set on her bedside table. She blinked to clear her vision and saw Toph trying to creep out of the room.
"Wha're you doing?" she asked groggily. Toph turned and scowled down at her.
"I can't possibly have been loud enough to wake you," she said. Katara shrugged and pulled herself into a sitting position.
"What's that?" she asked peering at the cup Toph had left for her.
"Fussy Lord Zuko demanded I bring you tea," Toph grumbled. "He's been a real pain all morning. He said that since you're sick, we have to cover all the chores. Never mind that no one asked you to do them in the first place." "He did what?" Katara blinked in confusion.
"He's making us do chores," Toph reiterated. "He's guilting everyone into cleaning. He's even got Sokka washing his own socks for once."
"Really?" Katara reached over and grabbed the teacup from the table and took a sip. It was a bit bitter, but she had had worse. Zuko was getting better at making tea.
"He's making a chore wheel!" Toph complained. "I don't know what makes him think it's going to last. He's in the kitchen teaching Aang how to chop vegetables. No way that ends badly." Katara grunted noncommittally. She could feel fatigue settling on her again.
"Are you alright?" Toph asked. There was real concern in her voice now.
"Just need to rest,"Katara assured her.
"Okay, then," Toph said backing towards the door. "I guess I'll go see if Dadko has any more orders for me to ignore."
"Be nice," Katara admonished as sleep rose to claim her again. "Zuko's being helpful." Toph snorted and headed out of the room. She paused at the door and turned back to Katara.
"Feel better soon," she said.
-:-:-:-:-:-:-
The next time Katara woke, it was to a hand shaking her gently awake. She blinked up and found Zuko frowning worriedly.
"Hey," she croaked.
"Hey." Zuko's mouth quirked up into a half smile. "I brought you something to eat." Katara lifted her aching head and saw a tray of soup and crusty bread on her nightstand.
"I'm not hungry," she told him.
"You have to eat something," Zuko pressed. "It's past lunch and you didn't have breakfast." For the first time Katara noticed that the sun had changed position. It was well into the afternoon, and probably closing in on dinner time. Katara didn't feel hungry, but she knew Zuko was right about her needing to eat. She accepted the tray and saw that Zuko had made a light broth with a bit of meat and vegetables. There was no real taste to it, but Katara wasn't sure if it was for a lack of spices or because her stuffed nose had robbed her of her sense of taste. Still, she was grateful he'd brought it for her, and the broth warmed her stomach pleasantly. Once he was satisfied that she was eating, Zuko turned to leave.
"Wait," Katara called after him.
"You need something else?" Zuko asked.
"Will you sit with me?"
That caught Zuko off guard. He sat stiffly at the foot of her bed and waited. Katara hid a smile behind a spoonful of soup.
"Toph said you're teaching a cooking class," she said. The tip of Zuko's ear went a little pink and he shrugged.
"Aang is old enough to at least know how to make one or two things," he said. "Everyone here is." He turned to Katara fully, his inborn shyness giving way to mild outrage. "Have you seriously been doing all of the cooking? The entire time?"
"It was either I cook or we starved." Katara shrugged and swallowed another mouthful of broth. She was beginning to taste something of the flavors that went into it. There was garlic in it, she thought. Maybe a bit of ginger, too. She wished she could smell and taste better, but maybe Zuko would make this soup again when she was well.
"That's not fair," Zuko said. "If you were doing all of the cooking and cleaning and washing and mending, what were the others doing?"
"Sokka hunted," Katara said. "Aang took care of Appa. Toph...well, she stayed out of the way mostly."
"So, Sokka goofed off in the woods, Aang goofed off with Appa and Toph did nothing?" Zuko's face twisted into a scowl.
"It's fine," Katara insisted.
"No, it's not!" Zuko huffed and ran a hand through his hair. "And I didn't even notice until today that you did all those things for everyone. I didn't realize I was adding to the load."
"Zuko, it's-" "It's not fine, Katara!" Zuko cut her off. "You're one person looking after six. No wonder you got sick. You're spreading yourself way too thin! That's over. You shouldn't have to do all of this work yourself."
"Good luck getting anyone to pitch in," Katara scoffed. Zuko glared towards the door.
"We'll see about that," he said darkly.
"Zuko?" Katara cast him a worried look, but he just shrugged.
"If I can't get the others to pitch in, I'm here," he promised. "I'll split the work with you.
"You don't have to," Katara sighed, leaning back against her pillows.
"Yes, I do!" Zuko gestured wildly around toward the door and then the windows. "Everything you do is necessary! You keep this group functioning, and we all owe you so much. Helping out is the absolute least we could do. I made a chore rotation. I don't know how long it'll last, but even if no one else helps, you'll have me."
The soup caught in Katara's throat somehow, and there was a sudden burn behind her eyes.
"I..." she tried once she swallowed her food. "I mean, no one's ever...Thank you, Zuko."
"I'm the one who should be thanking you." The corner of Zuko's mouth turned up into another half-smile. Then he frowned when he saw Katara's cheeks flush, and reached out to feel her forehead again. "Are you feeling ok?"
"I'm alright," Katara said breathlessly. Her pulse fluttered and the room felt warmer, but somehow, the fever didn't feel as bad as it had that morning. Still, Zuko studied her with a clinical eye she hadn't been on the receiving end of since leaving her Gran Gran.
"I sent Sokka and Suki to town for medicine," he told her. "I'll bring it to you later." He stood up and headed for the door.
"Are you going?" Katara asked.
"I left Aang chopping vegetables for dinner," Zuko told her. "I have to go inspect his work...and make sure he still has all of his fingers." Katara laughed at that.
"Hey, Zuko?"
"Yeah?" he stopped with his hand on the doorknob.
"Thanks," Katara said. "For everything."
"Anytime."

ATLA Shipping and the Male and Female Gaze
I just hit me while I was reading about another piece of fiction. Zutara is the Female Gaze in action. Kataang is the Male Gaze. I think the biggest difference in the ship (well...one of many big differences) is how Katara is viewed in each pair.
With Zutara, there's more of a focus on both Katara and Zuko's inner life and development as characters, both in the main series canon and in the fanworks that followed. With Kataang, it's more about what she does for Aang in canon (I can't speak on the fanworks, because I don't read endgame Kataang fics). Her feelings and development as a character through her relationship with Aang don't really enter the discussion in any meaningful way. All we're left with is how Katara not choosing Aang would affect Aang and how sad that would be for him.
And that, I think, really kind of encapsulates the difference I see between the Male and Female Gazes. The Male Gaze, especially in romance, centers the feelings of men- both in the story and in the audience (and the writers room). The woman isn't really a character in those stories. She's more often a plot device. A goal. A prize for the Hero at the end of the story. Even when the woman starts out as her own character, by the end, she's an accessory to whatever end the Hero wants.
The Female Gaze in romance tends to be more egalitarian in it's focus, I believe. Even when the focus is the woman character, the development of her love interest is still important. Her partner grows and learns and matches her development on some level. In the end, they are usually on equal footing, each supporting and being supported by the other. Katara and Zuko's relationship stays overtly platonic in the show, but even there, you see that egalitarian relationship. Katara's story doesn't really work without Zuko and vise versa. Their arcs complement each other in a way that lends itself really well to eventual romance.

Don't you think Katara would have an easier, happier life as Aang's wife than as Zuko's? I just think it would be hard for her to be married into fire nation royalty
In canon, Katara's life with Aang consists of babysitting his tantrums, watching him favor one of her three children, and sitting on her feelings when she has a different opinion from him or when he's flirting with other girls. I think Katara would have absolutely been happier with Zuko than with Aang.
As to whether her life would be easier with Aang, well...maybe? I guess it depends on what you consider easier. Would there be less political intrigue? Yes, but only because she doesn't get to do anything remotely political with Aang. Zuko would have put her in a position with real power, so yes, she'd have to deal with more political drama directly, but...I don't know, I don't think she'd hate it, tbh. This is the same girl who literally punched the patriarchy in the face and started a prison riot. She can handle uppity Fire Nation nobles.
Also, it's fiction. What story would you rather read? The one about a revolutionary woman turned world leader who married the love of her life and together they guide (or sometimes drag kicking and screaming) a former imperial power into a peaceful future? Or the story of how that same revolutionary woman married a man who didn't understand her power and value and left her to languish alone and forgotten with two kids he didn't want while he got all the fame and glory by building on the foundation she laid? I mean, that second scenario would make a great story if you're in to tragedy.

ENGLISH STATUS Name: Acerola Age: 17 (in Helwa Ya Baladi*) Birthday: November 1st Astrological sign: Scorpio Place of residence: Undertale, temporarily in Underswap Relations: Red (Father, carrier) Classic (Father) Papyrus (Uncle) Edge (Uncle) Blue and Stretch (Uncle in spirit) Lubo (Boyfriend)
CHARACTER
Jaded, Rebel, Independent, Artichoke heart, Harm blood Alignment: Chaotic neutral Hobbies: - Spending hours listening to music (particularly likes Alternative Rock and classical music) - Go to concerts and festivals - Cooking with her uncles (she makes lasagna very well!) - Jump over the wall to join Lubo - Read and watch romantic movies (but shhh don't tell her I told you) Hates: - Being coped by his fell father - That we disturb her when she is in her bubble - Make Blue cry - Classic Daddy's Puns
STORY Acerola was born from the union between Classic! Sans and Fell! Sans. She lived a happy childhood in the original universe surrounded by her family. During the school holidays she spent her summers at Underfell (under the watchful eye of Red who was quite reluctant, but who still wanted her daughter to meet her uncle Edge with whom she got along very well) or at Underswap at her uncle's Blue and Stretch. As a result and being the daughter of the original Sans, she will very early know the notion of alternative universes and its dangers, and will become familiar with three worlds (Undertale, Underfell, Underswap). She acclimatized quite easily from one universe to another, but seems to be particularly attached to the Fell sphere to the dismay of her father who is from there. She has a large number of friends there that she only sees once or twice a year and then more regularly as she grows up. And among them Lubo, a wolf dog, with whom she will fall in love. Red will take a very negative view of this relationship and the subject often generates arguments between the father and the daughter. Classic prefers to procrastinate, judging that their daughter has to do her experiments and that they would be there in case of a hard blow. But Red didn't hear it and will start watching his daughter, degrading their relationship. The teenager will then start to jump over the wall to go out with her fellian friends and especially to find Lubo. She will go so far as to try things not very good for her just to "piss off her father", Lubo who is calm and has wise temperament openly disapproves of this behavior. Until the day when Acerola did not escape Red's vigilance, causing serious consequences involving the breakup of the young couple and the father-daughter bond. The latter will spit in his face "You are not my father, I hate you!" Classic deploring the situation decides with the agreement of his spouse to send Acerola to Underswap for his well-being and hoping that time will eventually calm things down. Since then, Acerola has lived under the same roof as her uncle Blue and Stretch. Stretch is pretty "cool" with her (smoking buddy) and lets her do more or less what she wants. Blue, on the other hand, is more firm, not appreciating certain ways concerning her (does nothing, groans, is vulgar, smokes inside ...)
PERSONALITY
Acerola had everything to become a charming young girl, but the influence of the Fellian sphere and her open conflict with one of her fathers made her what she is today. Acerola is a fairly difficult person, not very accessible, and has trouble with any form of authority. But deep inside her hides a deeply good person who only wants to love and be loved. But the trust in her father that she lost accentuated her bad behavior and likewise caused her to lose her trust in others. As a result, she confides little, with the exception of Stretch who knows how to take it back and have the right words when necessary (this is why the latter is apparently more lax, knowing that constantly reframing it does not is useless, Blue already being overzealous about it). The teenager is very unhappy but denies it. Acerola, however, shows the best of herself in the presence of Lubo, whom she loves above all. She secretly dreams of having a love story similar to what she has read or seen in her favorite novels and films / series. It is moreover a passion that she does not assume.
POWER Shortcuts: Teleportation she masters Sweeping: Focus his magic on his big studded boots and use them to strike Gaster Blaster: Has one in his image spitting a fuchsia ray Telekinesis: Moves objects with the snap of a finger and knows how to levitate a soul. Healing magic: While learning, does not master it very well. Sabir will teach him in exchange for a course in teleportation.
OTHER -> Her eyelashes are actually false -> She has a piercing on her tongue, made clandestinely by one of her fellian friends. -> She started smoking at 15-16 years old, and other things after ... -> Acerola can spend hours at the bottom of a sofa listening to rock or symphonies, it helps him get better. -> Her favorite meal is Edge's lasagna -> Red feels very guilty about what he may have said or done, will Acerola end up forgiving?

I just found your blog and it is ✨amazing ✨
Anyways, I love how you do match-ups! (I've never asked for one so this is my first time!) Can it be with Star Wars Prequels, Mandalorian, Star Wars Originals and Marvel (MCU)
My name is Leanne, I'm 16, I'm a Virgo ♍, I'm a girl and I'm straight. I am quite a shy person due to my anxiety but once I get to know someone, I'll never stop talking to them.
I only speak sarcasm and quotes
My entire life is based around TV shows, Movies, writing, gaming and TikTok.
I find it hard to have attachments but once I do, I never break the bond that is there.
My trust for people has gone down the drain since my ex broke up with me to get with my best friend.
I don't back down from arguments or fights (but when girls come for the hair ✋) and I usually am the one to find ways to put big words in to demolish the other person (yes, I'm a little bit of a bish when someone angers me)
When I get my 'attacks' (anxiety of anger flares) it's hard to get over. Sometimes I wish I just had someone who didn't try and tell me to "calm down" and just sat next to me and hugged me, saying it would get better, ya know? I hate it when people say "calm down"...Like...THATS WHAT IM TRYING TO DO DEBRA ✋
My humor is quite dark/dry but sometimes it is light and appropriate.
I'm taking a Level 3 course for Early Years Child care.
I hope this is enough for the match-up, it is my first time so I'm sorry if it's terrible but it would mean the world if you would do one for me!!
(Btw, you're the first person I've like opened up to 🖤🖤)
Keep up with your amazing work ❤️❤️
~Leanne (but you can call me Lea) xx
please I’m crying. I almost finished this request and then my Tumblr crashed and it didn’t save ;-;
Anyways, thanks for your request and thanks for the compliment! It really made my day ;-;. Also, your remark about people telling you to “calm down” is so reLATABLE. PLEASE IT’S SUCH A PROBLEM.
For the Mandalorian, I ship you with Din!
Tumblr media
• This one was probably the most obvious. Sarcastic humor? Trouble forming attachments? Say less.
• Okay, so as stated, this man has trouble forming attachments too. He could be a Jedi for all I care. But we see how much he truly cares when he becomes connected to Grogu. The same goes for you. One time you’re fighting him, then you’re traveling with him through the galaxy while babysitting a green frog with overgrown ears.
• He is sarcastic himself too, so you’ll often have loads of (fake) arguments that mainly consists out of stupid, sassy comments. It’s hilarious really, because it’s the one thing that can truly make him laugh.
• He knows you don’t hold back during arguments. Sometimes, someone will disrespect Din or Grogu and then you just go off, saying anything you want to against that person. Din will just be standing in the background, holding Grogu’s ears while his face is similar to this one: o-o
For the prequels, I ship you with Obi-Wan!
Tumblr media
• This one was a bit difficult for me, so it might be a bit out of character. Sorry in advance!
• He is the sass-king himself, but he knows his boundaries. You do not. Sometimes you’ll be talking before thinking and he’ll be the one to tell you to shut up. At first, you’ll test the waters and make another remark, but when you see his face, you quickly stop.
• He knows how to help you during your anxiety. You made that very clear to him. He’ll just get you out of the room and just soothe you in a way you prefer. He’s so gentle and calm, it’s adorable, really.
• He’s definitely the more reasonable one out of the two of you. During arguments, he has to drag you away, quite literally. You know it’s no use fighting him, so you’ll just let him drag you away while you flip the person off who angered you, adding something childish such as blowing a raspberry.
For the Original Trilogy, I ship you with Lando!
Tumblr media
• Listen, combine the two of you and you’ll have fun for days. He’s such a cheery person to be around and you humor is so easily combined. He loves your smiling and hearing your laugh, and you love to make him happy, so it’s a win-win situation.
• Even though he loves your humor, he fell for your caring side. You met when you were watching a couple of children and, for him, it was love at first sight. You looked do peaceful and happy, that it just made his heart melt.
• Keep the one above in mind, he’d be so surprised when he sees you during arguments. With others, he’ll join in, but when he realized how quickly your mouth runs, he picks you up under your armpits and just lifts you out of the room, while you’re still talking and calling that person out.
For the MCU, I ship you with Stephen Strange!
Tumblr media
• This was a close call with Tony, to be honest. Yet, I feel like you and Stephen have more in common.
• Even though his earlier path was on physical health and not mental health, he knows how to best help anxiety and what it does to you. Therefor, any overwhelming situations? He’ll get you out of there immediately as he tries to calm you down in the way you once instructed. He’s surprisingly gentle, bless his heart.
• He has much difficulties with attachments too, but he lets go relatively easy around you. He’s very comfortable with you and loves to talk about everything, really. Seeing him talk to you so easily, helped you a lot in opening up to him too.
• Sarcastic remarks all the time. “Where are the cookies?” “At the C of cookies.” or “Why did you donate that much money to the girlscouts?” “World domination.”
• He is not great with kids, but you are. Kids love you. At first, he’d be a bit confused by it, but after a while he learns how to get along with them (thanks to you) and grows to love the little gremlins.
I hope you liked it! Stay safe during these times please❤️

I think it's interesting how many people were wanting Jester to leave Artagan and go with the Moonweaver (who is awesome btw). I can't properly convey how relieved I am that didn't happen and that their already strong bond was made stronger and they both grew from it. Because that is how good relationships work and people are capable of changing for the better. Finding new faith worked for Fjord, but I don't believe it would have worked for Jester the same way. What they have can't be replaced.
If Artagan was forcibly taken from Jester it would have been traumatizing for Jester.
What the Mighty Nein, and perhaps a portion of the fandom, don’t understand is that Jester is a depressed lonely person who hides it. She puts on a mask of always happy and fine, it’s ok. She’s not ok and they don’t see it. Jester is also afraid of being alone, which plays into her fear of being disliked and abandoned.
Whether or not anyone else likes Artagan, Jester LOVES him and she has some serious attachment issues so just ripping him away from her would be super harmful.
There’s a scene in C2E19 where the party sees a shack and wants to investigate it. Jester suggests turning Frumpkin into a bird to go check it out since it’s like a mile away. Caleb does not like the idea, but then playfully says for you Fjord I will do it. Jester responds by being dramatic and pouting about him shooting her down but being willing to do it for Fjord.
LAURA: Can Frumpkin be a bird?
LIAM: (reluctantly) Yeah.
TALIESIN: For a bit.
TRAVIS: I want to check out the shack.
LIAM: All right. For you, Fjord, I will make Frumpkin a bird.
LAURA: Not for me, though. Caleb hates me.
SAM: We could just walk over there. It's a hassle to turn him into a bird.
TRAVIS: Yeah. Keep your cat.
LIAM: You are more sensitive than I would have imagined.
LAURA: I want people to like me.
Caleb is extremely observant and although this is a light, playful scene, says something that cuts really close. “You are more sensitive than I would have imagined.” She’s being over the top and dramatic, he criticizes her, and since what she was joking about what is actually some real insecurity she kind of deflates, her voice gets real small and she says “I want people to like me.”
It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment made harder to catch by the fact everyone is talking at once and Laura is eating pizza (role-playing with your mouth full - this is not to shame her for eating, she is entitled to that pizza, but it might make it harder to pick up on the moment). However, I think this touches upon something important.
Jester is in fact extremely insecure about being liked, and you see this with her relationship with the Traveler. Worrying that he might not like her now that she has other friends at first, and constantly needing reassurance that she’s the most important.
There’s a brilliant thread on reddit that sums up Jester’s character as follows:
“She's a people-pleaser because she's afraid to lose people. She grew up with the only 'low resource' being people - caring, loving, laughing people. She had her mother, who definitely loves her, but that was it. Most children have scores of people, and other children! to play with. Jester didn't.
And she's afraid to lose that, at any cost. Even realizing she was manipulated, keeping Artagen is more important than standing up for herself or showing her disappointment, because she can't lose him.
Onto - Artagen. What we know:
He's openly admitted to being manipulative and selfish
More importantly: he's openly admitted to never wanting to be bored and never wanting to 'get into emotions'
This REALLY matters. Why?
Because Jester is afraid of losing everyone so she can't be what those people don't want.
Jester can't be upset in front of Artagen because he might get bored with all of her emotions and leave.
It's crazy important for her to be his favorite because, as she is helping him leave all of his followers (her biggest fear) he keeps saying he won't leave her.”
Jester has pretty serious abandonment issues. Children need the attention and support of a caregiver. RedditTotalWar made a great point on that reddit thread: “A significant withdrawal of attention is often enough to cause a child to develop abandonment issues. Children don't have the capacity to realize that some things aren't about them since they are the centers of their own universe.” So the fact Jester’s mother, who clearly loves her and is a good person, did not always have time for her and required Jester to keep her existence secret is damaging.
Note, this is not to suggest that Marrion is a bad person or was intentionally abusive. You don’t have to be a monster to hurt a child. Disney example: In Tangled, Mother Gothel isolated Rapunzel and was an abuser who just wanted to use her. In Frozen, Anna’s Mother and Father isolated Anna out of a desire to do what they thought was best for their other daughter Elsa and to protect Anna from what they saw as the threat posed by Elsa’s magic. Anna’s parents were not intentionally abusive and loved their children, but Anna was still neglected and isolated and harmed by their actions.
To Jester, the message she got growing up was ‘Momma loves me, but she’s busy and I can’t get in the way and no one can know I exist’ which could easily be taken as ‘Momma loves me, but I’m not the most important thing to her’ or even ‘Momma loves me, but my existence makes her life harder, so maybe I’m not completely lovable since I’m a problem’.
And while you may think, if she was that worried why would she act out and play pranks and cause trouble, the fact is that children who are insecure about being loved may self-sabotage with caregivers. You see a high rate of disruption in foster children right before adoption because the child starts exhibiting behaviors. Perhaps faced with the fear of, maybe my parental won’t love me if I cause trouble, it feels safer just deliberately causing trouble because then at least you’re the one in control rather than walking on eggshells terrified that messing up could mean abandonment.
The fact that Jester’s prank on Lord Sharp resulted in her having to leave the only home she’s ever known and never come back under threat of death and that her Mother could not (or in her mind, would not?) protect her may have made her abandonment issues a lot worse.
Jester is terrified of being left alone, of being abandoned. Taking away the one person who has been a constant in her life and who she has felt safe with all at once would not be good. As Laura said on her playlist “he’s always been the one person she could show her insecurities to” and losing that stable, trusted person would hurt.
I don’t think her relationship with Artagan is entirely healthy (it’s not healthy for a child to grow up with only one other friend and her attachment to him extreme and also he’s a selfish, manipulative Archfey - I don’t think Artagan thinks this relationship is entirely healthy). However, I do not think it would have been better for her to have him ripped away like that. Especially given the fact that the whole Moonweaver thing was her idea and she would likely blame herself for what happened.
How devastating would that be for someone with Jester’s level of insecurity?
The Mighty Nein, and again a portion of the fandom, may have preferred it if Jester broke up with Artagan and moved on or found a new god. Fjord’s relationship with Uk’otoa (Uk’atoa) was toxic and abusive, so the Mighty Nein are very wary of that sort of relationship. Fjord if projecting and thinks that any relationship with a powerful being that isn’t a god is dangerous.
The truth is Jester’s relationship with Artagan isn’t really like one of cleric and god. It’s more like a personal relationship where he happens to give her divine powers.
LAURA: I take a bite of my caramel apple, and I go walking down.
MATT: You hear a crunch sound and your handshakes for a second and you look down and a mysterious secondary bite was taken out of the apple.
LAURA: (gasp) I lick the spot.
(groaning)
SAM: You're making out with your god? Gross.
MATT: They have a special relationship.
A special relationship indeed, Matt. It’s intimate, she talks to him about her crushes and asks him for advice on boys then casually confesses love to him.
LAURA: You're not jealous, are you?
MATT: "No."
LAURA: You'll always be my number one love.
MATT: "I know.”
Fjord is an orphan who was looking for parental figures. Vandren was a mentor and father figure, and it was through Vandren that Fjord gained his connection to Uk’otoa. The Wild Mother felt Motherly to Fjord and in Talks Travis said that when Matt first described the feeling his thoughts were on like have I found my Mother somehow. To Fjord religion is a divine parent, an authority figure who provides guidance and direction, and in the case of the Wild Mother love and support for him.
Jester has never seen the Traveler as a ‘dad figure’. He’s just her best friend and based on her behavior towards him and jealousy towards his other followers, and the number of love songs on Laura’s playlist, I’m pretty convinced that Jester is IN LOVE with him.
(I don’t know if that feeling is required. Given they grew up together with him in the form of another child and the fact Artagan is actually ancient, I think he sees her more like a little sister. This might be why he was so confused when she grabbed his face and leaned in like she was about to kiss him despite the fact that like she’s flat out told him that he’s her number one love and requires constant reassurance that she’s his favorite and acts like a schoolgirl with a very obvious crush)
And again, all of this may not be healthy or ideal for Jester. She might get hurt. However, I think in order to grow the relationship has to run it’s course no matter what happens. Artagan not only acted completely selflessly by kicking her off of him rather than face the possibility that she’d have to choose between him and or friends or be banished with him but like - he apologized to her.
An actual, real, non-manipulative apology. He admitted he was manipulative and he’s sorry and when she tries to play it off as it’s fine, he says he doesn’t want to defend himself. He’s sorry.
That’s growth.

So I'm a bit of a musical enthusiast, and always found Christine from 'Phantom of the Opera' to be an interesting character.
While many may say they would make her a bard, with her bewitching voice and beguiling apperence. I would use my creative liberty to actually make her a warlock. Completly devoted to the phatom, which I think in many ways could be fey.
Colleen Daaé
Warlock - Archfey
BG: Entertainer
Tumblr media
You grew up with two entertainers as parents. Always traveling to the next city, the next festival. Your childhood unfolded on a stage, your whole world seem centered around it.
Tradigy struck when one of the festivals you attended was hit by a plague while you were young. Both your parents died, but by some miracle you survived. That night were they both sleeped in you had a strang dream. A voice sang in it. So captivating, so ethereal. It promised to protect you to guide you, if you just vowed to his best friend, to follow his lead. Captivated by the sheer perfection, you agree.
You are absolutly sure, he is your huardian angel that saved you from death itself. So you follow him. Pray to his image, when you are alone at night. Thanking him. But since your parents died, you are now a orphan. You roam the streets of this big city. Even though you are small and fragile, you never feel lost or alone. Like he is always in the back of you mind. Always present observing.
You find your way to a opera near by. Your parents have preformed there a couple of times. And when they hear your voice they gladly took you in.
As you grow up, you didn't really pay that much attention to how your Guardian angel is any different from any other god or angel. You grow up a relativly normal live. With a few dream conversations with him. He tought you how to sing. However when you start to grow to attached to your friends at the opera, he grow irritated at you. Saying that you a breaking your promise. That you cant be his best friend if you keep putting these people before him. He makes you move. He isolates you from other people, by making you leave before anyone really get to know you. To keep you safe. But as you grow older, you realise it was a rouse for him to have you all to him self, so he could manipulate you. To form you in his image.
While in this isolated manipulated state, to feel any remnense of control and power you started to adventure. To take down monsters, and bewitch evil men to do your angels work for you. To take back some control and power when you really have non in your own life.
You meet an adventuring group, that want you with them. You are so isolated, so lonesome. That you presure your angel. You tell him that if you are not allowed to travel with them that you will end up insane anf properly kill yourself. You promise that with them you will grow your abilitys, get stronger for him. So, you can be a better friend, a better follower. That he is still above them. And that you love him. His ethereal voice. His wise consuel. His sweet protectivness. He allows you to go. And as you travel with them and travel further from the forrest that was near your home, his presence shrinks until you only feel his presense within your dreams. But the bond is never broken, and you know you have to keep your promise to him. That once done with this group, with this quest, you have to go back to him and stay by his side til your last breath. Somehow you always look forward to it. To be his. To know that you are loved in a twisted way, and that you are his.
If you ever meet her beware. Her bewitching looks and almost ethereal voice might lure you in. Her innocent eyes. But if you look closely, you'll see a wisdom hide in them, and if you are not alert she might wrap you around her little finger and have you do her bitting. But if you can resist her charm long enough to get to know her, underneath her fare fascade and her tricks. Is the most gentle of souls. Completly devoted to her 'angel of music' an somewhat brainwashed, that will apear in many of her not logical knowledge of the world. But she is a great friend, brave, loyal, devoted and determented to reach her goals. Any meance nesesarry, she will gladly use her silver tongue to your aid.

10 Characters for 10 people
Thank you for the tag @aoristiandariostis !! It's going to be difficult to choose only 10 favourite characters, but challenge accepted! I send the same challenge to @mizaelloverno107, @sienasiesta, @galaxymaster360, @ayse7124, @vector3996, @karenusia, @baddyzarc, @little-mx-cryptic, @aerialartistic, @animalgirl2018 and anyone who comes across this and wants to do it!
1) Liesel Meminger from The Book Thief
Tumblr media
This is one of my absolute favourite books and movie. I remember watching this at school when I was in fifth grade and loving it and love her character. This story sets at the time of the Nazi Germany and the character of Liesel in front our eyes has been through very rough times in her early childhood, she has experienced and seen premature death from a very tender age and since the novel takes place during World War II, death is omnipresent and she constantly puts her own life on the line with her actions. She has a very unique prospective of life and was really fascinated by the power of the words, in fact she is referred as a "book thief", she has pretty much put her life on the line just to learn how to read and understand the meaning of the words, with which she has saved a life and saved her own.
2) Dolowa/Droite/Dextra from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and II
Tumblr media
This character lays a special place in my heart. Droite is presented as a classy business woman type but rather here she seems to be a person with a duty of the Maintenance of Security in the tower belonging to its creator and the Mayor, as his right hand woman, it is also confirmed that she's an elite. The reason I began to like her it's because how her true layers of personality quickly contrasted the typical business woman/seductive persona, she was nothing like it even though most of the time, the characters similar to her character design are portrayed that way. She's purely devoted to her loved ones and she doesn't got tip to toe with her boss' wishes and would face any consequnces for them. She's caring and capable and her Dueling tactics were really cool.
3) Mebara Keiichi from Higurashi no naku koro ni (kai, rei, kira)
Tumblr media
I love love love him. Keichii is hilarious, funny, easily can get attached to but he's a tragic hero. He breaks the chains of tragic fate in utterly hopeless situations and I love how much he cares about his friends. It's absolutely tragic the deaths they have to go through, and luckly they came past it and Keichii played a great role in breaking those tragic chains.
4) Ellen/Viola from The Witch House
Tumblr media
The Witch's House is an JRPG game and I am so sad that this doesn't have an anime or something because the plot is really awsome. Anyway, the character of Ellen, she's the main villain, so I should feel no sorrow and sympathy for this b- bery very bad person, and especially not include her in the favourite list, but my kokoro can't be helped, even though I absolutely hate her character out of frustration, but she has a tragic ass backstory to make feel damn emotional for. I hate her but I also love her, idk anymore... Next!
5) Sana from Kodomo no Omocha or Rossana
Tumblr media
She's super energetic, and kind and compassionate and querky, silly, stupid sometimes but also very intelligent and mature. We saw so many phases of herself and her character grow. Even though she goes through really tough times, or even dying almsot, she always has a huge heart of her to forgive and come out of trauma and look at life very brightly. She was definately my role model and I am still surprised when I rewatch the way she handled her problems, and she had tones in the anime since she's an actress and lots of teenage drama. Her approach to problems was somehow many times applicable to my life and I still feel inspired by her. She's really an awsome character.
6) Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games
Tumblr media
I immediately fell in love with her character the moment she volunteered for her sister. She's incredibly selfless, devoted, brave and ribellious, however it's a shame the reason that everything started by trying to protect that person is taken away from her. I loved how she realised that President Coin is just another President Snow and she killed the right person and rightfully allowed the citizens of the Districts to kill Snow. There were so many parts of the book and scenes of the movie that really drawn such a high opinion of her but I can't talk about everything other than the beginning and the end, otherwise I would take ages
7) Phoenix Wright from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Dual Destiny, everything that has Phoenix and my babies Apollo and Atena in it!!)
Tumblr media
I admire how he believes the innocence of the people and is after the truth and not winning the case, he's true, genuine and honest. I love how he does the extreme to repay people back, literally make them either his assistant, adopted daughter, his apprentice, his husband (yes I am talking about Edgy), I can't even take account of at this point.
8) Shuici Saihara from Danganronpa
Tumblr media
I have a thing for Detectives with the name that starts with a "S", the only reason I didn't put Shinici Kudo from Detective Conan because I couldn't keep up with the series and honestly I can't, maybe one day when my online classes will end, anyway... Shuici, I like his detective work, his reasoning and the bond she formed with Kaede and his sidekick Kaito, it makes me cry just remembering it, and he's actually sensitive. I loved him even more after his reactions in Love Hotel and secret scenes. The character of Kaede was a huge influence on him, he didn't want to find the truth before because he was scared, but then he took off his cap and solved cases with his head up in the sky (I still can't get over the feels from the fact Kaede's portrait is always on Shuici's side in scrum debate to show she's always with him even after death 😭)
9) Alvin Junior from The Walking Dead
Tumblr media
Even though I followed the series of Walking Dead for a very long time, I really got attached to Alvin Junior as much as Clementine, he's just a young god and can't convince me otherwise. Some fans didn't like AJ that much because he was new but I really saw AJ like a young Clem and Clementine now being in Lee's shoes and protecting AJ with her life just as Lee did with hers. AJ is such a mood sometimes and also really reliable. He had to make really hard calls poor guy, but I am really glad to having a happy ending
10) Agatha from the Dark Deception
Tumblr media
Agatha is a merciless monster and a spoiled brat that will say that you're cheating by speed boost while she teleport and cut you into a corner while we're running, but I still love her <3
