I know it’s a long shot and no pressure, but I would absolutely love if you added more to the Battle for the Cowl Batfam AU. It’s so cute and I love the family bonding aspects of it in particular. Like when they all go out together as Batman and there are just multiple Batmen. And Gordon is just so done with them… Yeah, so, soft request for more at some point in the future? Again, no pressure.

Sorry friend I unfortunately don't see myself adding more to the bftc au anytime soon mostly bc I regret a lot of the decisions I made when first making that au and now every time I look at it all I can think is God I wish I'd done this differently so I think unless I'm completely redoing the au (which I also dont see myself doing bc that may get confusing fast) I'm not gonna add to it any time soon

I'm in A Mood™ (stressed) so im going back to my roots of melting two character together into one person. So bruce wayne!danny fenton. Danny Fenton who, for eight years, grew up in a beautiful gothic manor with his mom and dad under the name "Bruce Wayne". Playing piano with his mother, running around the manor with his father.

Then when he's eight it's ripped away from him. There's blood on his hands and pearls pooling at his feet, and both his parents are dead in front of him.

And he gets shipped off to distant relatives "the Fentons" shortly after, Alfred close on his heels because someone needs to take care of him, someone that knows him. Bruce goes to the Fentons for the safety of anonymity. Gotham's press wants to sink its teeth into him.

Danny misses his city even if it took everything from him. There are shadows in his eyes and he's pale as a sheet even beside his distant cousins, and they change his name to "Danny Fenton' because nobody should know that their newest child was illustrious orphan Bruce Wayne.

They call him Bruce behind closed doors. Danny prefers it that way, he clings onto the name -- the one his parents gave him -- like a lifeline. He makes friends with Sam and Tucker. Tucker takes one look at the willowy, morbid little boy standing in the corner like a shade, ghosts in his eyes, and drags him out into the sunlight, and takes him over to Sam.

When Danny is twelve, he's still not over it -- and he's a little obsessed with the Fentons' research, with the morbid. He has books upon books on death, murder, detective work. Anything he can get his hands on. And stars. He loves stars.

Alfred owns the apartment next to them and comes over regularly. Danny clings to him.

When Danny is twelve, he's still quiet, meek, a shy little thing prone to being bullied. Freaky little Fenton with the night in his eyes and too-cold skin even before he put one foot in the grave. in a sleepover in his room with Sam and Tucker, he tells them the truth. They're his friends, he trusts them.

"My name is Bruce." he murmurs, voice quiet as the breeze, always quiet. he's staring at his star-covered sheets.

"Like Bruce Wayne?" Tucker asks, a joking tone in his voice.

Danny smiles a little, lamb-like with insecurity. "I am Bruce Wayne." And he takes them down to the lab, disrupting Maddie and Jack, to prove it. Sam tells them of her own wealth then shortly after. They start calling Danny "Bruce" in private too -- its trust. Thats what it is. It's trust.

Sam goes to media functions and comes back with aching feet and complaints on her tongue -- and Danny soaks it up all like a sponge, splayed across a beanbag chair with Tucker in her room. He's not envious of her, he used to go to events with his parents and they kept him safe from the ugly of Gotham's Elite. For the most part. He's had comments made at him, he doesn't miss them.

Alfred returns to the manor semi-regularly, Danny goes with him. he wanders the hallways and helps Alfred clean, the last thing either of them want is for their home to fall into disrepair. He brings Jazz with him next time, then Tucker, then Sam. They all help him clean, and he shows them his room. The one across from his parents', it feels strange.

When Danny dies when he's fourteen, the first adult he tells is Alfred. He and Jazz go over to his house more often than they stay in the Fentonworks building. At least at Alfred's, the food doesn't come to life. Alfred sits at the kitchen table and weeps when Danny tells him, Jazz is upstairs, and its just the two of them.

Danny's ghost form wears pearls around his wrist and the gloves look stained with some kind of black substance. He looks like a child who died in a lab accident, but he also looks like a child who has shadows dripping off his shoulders, curling at his feet, hanging from his eyes.

because amorphous blob batman has my heart always and danny/bruce will not escape it even in death even if that IS the only reason im giving him Mild BatBlob Vibes...so far

when they go to the manor, alfred helps danny make a pile of stones between Martha and Thomas' graves, nobody but the two of them (and sam and tucker) will know what it means. (not even bruce's children later down the line, not for a long, long time)

danny dives into ghost fighting on shaky feet and not half as witty as he once was in one world. he's skittish, skittering between blasts from shadow to shadow and clumsily making his way through each battle. but helping people lights a fire in him. he still has shadows dripping off his feet but there's a purpose in his eyes.

and god help him, he's going to help people.

hey, i have a question, how would you write Cassie and Jinny's relationship?

would jinny be on young justice, will it be long distance, what would their dynamic be?

My gut instinct was to say that I’d probably want to focus on them in those first/awkward stages of dating? Half the fun of reading for me sometimes is just enjoying the journey of two idiots figuring things out. Sometimes ya just want some sickly sweet fluff!

But the more that I think abt Cassie having a fraught history dating Kon/Tim, the metas abt comphet & okay also CassieRose visits my mind a LOT, not rent-free just as a surprise guest atm… also Jinny still on the heels of finding her last gf cheating & when we last saw her doin the road-trip thing with her friend (now kinda-sister???)

I’m like 👀 there’s some messy potential here AND I LOVE IT

But to circle back & try to answer in mostly the same order:

If DC were to give me the reins to write a run today, I’d def want to know what Outsiders is gonna do with Jinny first & make sure I’m not stepping on too many toes obvsly. I rlly hope that they’re picking up on the road trip from the end of her Special, but the premise isn’t leaving me super hopeful that there’s any editors left at DC to pay attention to that kind of thing 🙃 also there’s speculation rn abt a new YJ book with a diff cast so I don’t think either of them are gonna be part of YJ here pretty soon 😅

For fic writing tho, the beauty is that we can Licherally do whatever we want, so I can be as canon-compliant or noncompliant as possible so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in that respect it’s a matter of when I would want that potential fic to take place (or ig what setting 👀 YJ college au request in my inbox I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOUUUU)

Long distance I think doesn’t really factor when one of the pair is able to fly so uh 😅 change in setting would have to be more of a factor to consider that? (Again, college AU I might consider it for its conflict potential 🤔) (also what qualifies as long distance bc I’ve got a friend who’s dating a guy that’s like 3hrs away, but that’s Texas distance so it’s nbd for them to see each other on weekends but I know some ppl would consider Not Living in the Same City as long distance so aksjsks) idk, distance just isn’t a big deal to me in Gen tho too. Like, You Find A Way to make it work or you don’t and that’s where delicious Conflict™️ can take root lol

And ahh dynamic… that age-old question… who’s Red/Blue, the Grump/Sunshine, who falls first vs who falls harder, god there’s so many things to consider. I do think I fall back on thinking of them as the Opposite Worlds Attract kinda dynamic (wait no, now I’m thinking of night at the museum and zom made that gemhex, not wonderhex I’m 😭😭😭)

More shit for my dpxdc merfolk au!

No I’m not censoring boobs. I have Opinions TM on this matter, don’t get me started. Basically: If mermen don’t get their nipples censored by unnecessary clothing, neither do mermaids.

I’m trying to have some diversity with body types in these designs, for no reason other than wanting some variety.

For Cass [Sting Ray] I can’t really decide on a body type I like for her. I’ve drawn her before with the “conventionally attractive girl body type” (bc that was my reference pic and I turned it into Cass lol) and I liked it bc she’s fine like that. But I also love her being more bulky/muscular like she is in WFA. But for this design, I am spreading my Chubby Cass Propaganda TM. Okay, she’s not that chubby, but I like the idea of her moving past her whole living-weapon thing and gaining some weight bc she’s not training 24/7 anymore. Obviously she’s still very physically fit ofc; she’s the best fighter in the world.

Steph I kept exactly how she is in canon bc she’s already perfect just the way she is. Though I am considering making her a bit more muscular.

Dick’s also pretty similar to canon, but I made him a bit slimmer. I always imagined him as more of a lean muscle kind of guy but dc loves giving all of it’s characters of the same gender the same exact body type.

Duke I made more square. He’s based on an eel so the rectangle body just made sense to me.

Jason’s just huge and Damian’s just small.

Next up is Babs. Then comes Bruce and Tim. Danny’s last bc I haven’t figured out what fish he’s gonna be yet lol. The rest of the fentons are human so I don’t really need to redesign them so much besides maybe different clothes.

FURTHER RAMBLING UNDER THE CUT bc i put a lot of thought into these

Steph is a betta fish. Ik that doesn’t make much sense bc they’re tropical (i think?) and domestic and like super aggressive and only the male ones have those pretty fins— but suspend your disbelief! She a mermaid. I’m using some real science but some of it’s just me playing with fish like dolls. ANYWAY! The reason she got fired in this au was bc her long, beautiful fins were way too fragile and Bruce stopped it bc she got hurt too easily. Nowadays she binds her fins close to her body and attaches fake ones for swimming as Spoiler. Either that or they’re not vigilantes at all in this au, I’m still deciding. I also based her hair on her Robin look.

Dick is a flying fish, bc of COURSE he’s a flying fish. What else would he be, huh? I have visions about him jumping out of the water and sailing over or onto the Fentons’ boat. The transition on his waist is supposed to mimic the nightwing symbol if you can’t tell. That’s another design element I’m trying to vary— fish to flesh transitions.

Cass is a Sting Ray. She was originally gonna be a manta ray, but when i looked it up, sting rays were the ones with the more round shape i wanted. Mantas had much bigger wings, which were absolutely not gonna fit on this paper. But sting rays are cool! They’re super friendly, some aquariums have little “petting zoos” where you can pet the sting rays! And also, yk, stinging. I’m betting the ones at the aquarium didn’t have stingers that can affect humans tho. I may have to do further sting ray research. Yes that bigass thing is attached to her back everywhere except for her neck and the base of here head (bc i love drawing hair too much). Her arms are, ofc, not attached to it. I made her a ray in the first place bc they have very good camouflage at the bottom of the ocean. I saw this picture of a ray blending in but it was ominous af. It felt perfect for her.

I'm new-ish to writing (i used to write fanfiction when i was like 13. i'm 18 now soo..) but I really wanna do it again.

So this is a list of characters/fandoms I write for as well as some rules for asks. Some things may be missing from this list so if you dont see something on this list, feel free to ask. :))

The crob cookie of the week topic reminded me of something. I looked back and I saw the Chess Choco twins in the Dark Cacao family, and I got an idea. Hear me out: Earle Grey Cookie becomes the new royal advisor. He’s practically wrapped around the twins’ pawn shaped hats, the fandom (including myself) sees him as a parental figure to them, and he’s an excellent business person since he runs a luxurious hotel.

Technically, he is a cookie of darkness, but it’s hard to consider him one. All he does is run a hotel. He and the twins occasionally report to DE, but if the twins are innocent kids in this au, why not make Earl Grey an old acquaintance and temporary parental figure before the twins were somehow found to be related to DC or adopted by him and Sablé and they lost touch. But then Earl Grey somehow ends up in the DC kingdom, and the twins hear about a beautiful hotelier cookie visiting via servant gossip and they know who it is immediately. Initiate very cute reunion and the twins innocently scouting him to work for them and DC so they can stay together.

Funny enough, I actually do have Earl Grey as an advisor/butler to Dark Cacao in my AU. It's pretty much buried in my page (roughly a year ago) but I did wrote a short story with him as a side character and gave him that role. I believe it's the one where Sablé is visiting and Earl Grey went to inform Dark Cacao about it while he was in a meeting.

I do plan to have Chess Choco and Earl Grey appear in the AO3 version either towards the end of volume one or the beginning of volume two but still be "bad guys" at first. They are a package deal tho. Wherever the twins go, Earl Grey goes. So if the twins end up in the Citadel, you can bet that Earl Grey is sticking to them like glue (of the Cookie equivalent to glue).

I do love that story idea about them separating but finding each other again. I think it would be a wholesome story for found family to be reunited again and in a better circumstance. And be a great break from the angst and drama I've caused written in this AU.

And even tho I already have enough on my plate...I kinda want to write an AO3 short stories section that parallels my AU. Maybe when I finally get the B.A.D.4 story project started, I do that too. Hmm.

I'm getting off topic. Earl Grey is the advisor but you can't stop him from being a butler too. I forgot to add him to the family picture but he is the uncle/second dad the twins and Dark Choco need.

Do you ship anyone in JJK?

Oh boy, are you ready for a long post?! Because I do have a good amount of ships that I really like in jjk! ^w^

However, I shall list them all off from most popular to the more niche ones that I really love. Keep in mind this is my own opinion and that I honestly have a monkey brain, so my explanation for why I like them may seem incoherent. =w=;

Well! Let’s go! My favorite ships in jjk!

Gojo X Geto

Let’s start with the two strongest! I ship them because of the their opposite ideology when it comes to strength. They are also foils of each other in a lot of way. They may be different but are very similar too. And like, I love the little interactions between them, and how at the end of the Hidden Inventory Arc their ideology switch! Plus… It’s a very angsty pairing too, and I do love me some angst~ >:3c

Yuji X Megumi

Another pair of opposites! I normally don’t really ship the protagonists with the deuteragonist in Shonen series, but I do here in jjk. Because they actually feel like friends in the beginning that can grow into something deeper. They are opposite once again due to their ideology. Yuji want to do his best to save everyone, while Megumi is more picky.

However, they are also similar in a sense that they value their own life less than others. Both are basically suicidal which is excellent for some juicy angst~~ X3c

Yuta X Maki

“Whaaaaa? Yuta and Maki? Isn’t Maki a lesbian tho?” I hear the fandom say. In which I respond “Nah, she’s Bi~”

Okay, but in all seriousness. I do ship them a lot tho. There just so much content and moments with them, you know?! Like and they are a pair of opposites yet again! They are extremely strong but their ideology is different. Maki is a starch individual, who fight for her own self love and not really for the sake of others. Whereas, Yuta fights for the sake of others that he love, but not really out of self love for himself. The chance for character growth for both parties are huuuge! :3c

Kasumi X Kokichi

What else is there to say about this ship? But that it’s an excellent tragic love story~

Okay, but like with all the other ships that I love. They are a pair of opposites that are very similar. Kasumi is considered “Useless Miwa” while Kokichi is one of the strongest of the Kyoto Kids. But both have a deep desire to connect which is a rarity in the whole of Jujutsu. However, due to Kokichi’s flaw, he pushed Kasumi away due to her weakness in order to protect her. But it was this very action that hurts Miwa the most. It’s all very tragic and I love it! >:Dc

Nobara X Mai

Okay, I seriously love this ship. Like sooooo bad! Like it’s my favorite!

The huge reason why I ship them because of the opportunities they could have if they bonded and get to know each other. It’s the whole enemies to lover trope! Like they hate each other at first, but here’s the thing. They may be different but they are also very similar too. Both are essentially normal bitchy girls. However, both express their girlhood differently, Nobara is egotistical and is very confident. Whereas, Mai have very little self love and is not at all confident.

Both had a chance to learn and grow from each other! And I’ll be forever saddened that it’ll never happen in the manga. ;—;

Junpei X Nanako

“Huhhhh??? That’s a ship??? They don’t even meet in canon tho!”

And yes! It is true that they haven’t meant in canon. But this is where you have reached the point of the post where we are straying from cannon and into this AU fic series that I’ve been hyper-fixated on for months now.

The fic where we first see their interactions would be in “Exponential Growth” in where Nanako and Mimiko are transferred to Junpei’s school just before winter break. And their friendship and interactions is just *chef’s kiss* I love it so much! Like Nanako sees Junpei for who he is, and still accepts him since to her “he isn’t boring at least.”

Plus! It’s the loser boy x popular girl trope that’s so much fun! *w*

Nanami X Michi

Oh yeah, we are heading into the Cannon X OC territory now, babyyyyy! I don’t care if you think it’s cringe! Cringe culture is dead! Michi is an OC within the AU, but like he is written so well and have such a compelling arc! He first appeared in “Exponential Decay” and have another major role in “Exponential Growth” too. But the fic within the AU that had me actively start shipping Michi with Nanami is “Butterfly Curve”.

Like I don’t wanna say too much, but if you read those scenes and interactions, you would ship them too! Hopefully anyway… •3•;

Naoya X Li

Oh boy… Now this ship is gonna be the most controversial one due to Naoya being Naoya. It’s another Cannon X OC ship. The character Li appears in “The Inugami Family” and she is such a compelling character.

Here’s the thing, both Li and Naoya are very similar despite their different circumstances within the clan. Both bonded over being essentially alone. For they are not being their true self, and only hide it. Li, pretending to be perfect, while Naoya plays up his horribleness. Both have such an interesting and nuanced relationship. It’s twisted and messed up, but it’s the one that they only had.

hell and you: modern day devils minion w old man daniel and armand. sometimes i forget how much i like this fic and then i'll remember "i wrote a fic abt armand being daniel's sugar daddy, LOL." it's very funny to me personally. i especially love this bit i threw in:

He fills the apartment with the smell of his cologne and something underneath that it can’t quite mask. A smell like water left to stand too long or flowers left too long in a vase.

i like the idea of vampires smelling like death. i can forgive this tho bc i think in the later installments of the vc anne rice said vampires smell like mayo? which is ... well. at least much more attention-grabbing than what i did.

damn these vampires: an armandaniel fic that takes place immediately after the season finale. this fic was majorly inspired by a thought that woke me up from deep sleep. armand and daniel have history. armand (i'm guessing) blocked daniel's memories. but didn't wipe them. daniel can't access them, but they're still there. so how funny would it be if daniel was jealous of louis being w armand but has no fucking idea why.

He smokes one on his walk back to the penthouse, thinking of how he had stood there in the aftermath, staring at Rashid—Armand—hovering over them like fucking Mary Poppins, his hand interlocked with Louis’s, and—instead of doing what a Pulitzer-winning, seasoned journalist of his caliber should’ve been doing in the face of being this royally fucked over—absurdly, inexplicably, Daniel noted the position of Armand’s thumb: on top.

i make myself laugh.

keep on keeping on, dean winchester: deancas s13 au where jack is a baby. i can't actually think of a part of it that stands out without any context (which, in my opinion, is a good sign), but i can say that i enjoy this part quite a bit:

Friday morning, as they’re making their way through the sticks toward the interstate, Sam says, “Hey, guess what I bought,” and holds up a dusty Sing-A-Long CD. “Fuck no,” Dean says. “We are not listening to Metallica all the way to Sioux Falls with a baby in the back.” “He likes it! Right, Jack?” he calls over his shoulder. Jack makes an incandescent gurgling sound. “See? Kid knows any music made after 1979 sucks ass.” “Singing in early childhood is important, Dean. It helps kids with language development, memory, and emotional regulation, and it entrains their social visual behavior.” “Thanks, Spock. You’re the pride of the Federation.” “Dean.” “Dude, I’m just saying, we can entrain his social visual behavior with the classics. We don’t need that baby crap. It’s the 21st century. All we need is Zep, Cash, some AC/DC—”

i worked really hard to capture dean's voice--like, harder than i've ever worked to scrub my own voice from a piece of writing. the amount of references and sayings in this bitch? sheesh.

i'm also very happy with how the relationship btwn jack and dean developed. one person who commented made a very intelligent observation that even i hadn't realized: i made dean see himself in jack. and it makes sense, doesn't it? jack's mom died bc of the supernatural; he wasn't allowed to process this loss at all; and he was left in the care of a father who'd lost a spouse. a father whose grief made him mean and treated his son like an object (hence the "it" pronouns used in the beginning).

anyway! very happy w how it turned out :)

long live the kingslayer: an elriel mission fic. i've spoken abt it like. a million times by now. and i still love it <3 there's just so much real estate to work w when it comes to elain. she's so underdeveloped that anything u say abt her is almost always pure conjecture. it was so much fun to take a character i loved so dearly and write a story where she was never punished for being who she is.

i'm still very fond of this part in particular:

“Wait,” he said before she could leave. His voice was nearly as hesitant as his expression, flickering between uncertainty and a strange, boyish shyness that was captivating on him. He reached into his leathers—where, she couldn’t know—and pulled out a small container. “Here,” he said, placing it in her hands. She opened it. Inside was a smelly, yellow ointment. “A salve,” he explained, “for your hands.” An unnameable feeling seized her. She hadn’t thought he noticed, never dared mention it out of fear of what he’d think, and this whole time he’d been carrying this salve with him. A salve for her hands. It was a terrible idea. She knew it as soon as it came to her, but she grabbed Azriel by the ears anyway, drew him down to her height, and kissed his cheek. She felt his skin go warm, and she imagined how surprised he must look, how shy. When she pulled back, she saw that his face was indeed dark with color, avoiding her gaze. Simultaneously pleased at her reaction and embarrassed by it. He was magical, she thought, and she loved him dearly. Loved him so much that it broke her heart. “Thank you,” she said. “This will be invaluable.” Finally, a smile from him. Unable to resist it, she brushed the back of her hand over his cheek, fond, and said, “I’ll leave you to rest.”

a lot of acotar fans hate it when ppl write azriel to be soft and shy and not particularly dark at all. me, personally? i think that’s boring. azriel was born into an abusive and violent home and suffered unimaginable torture at a very young age. he developed powers meant to protect him from the horror of his daily life, and those powers made him a great spymaster/torturerer. but it's so obvious that azriel hates his position within the court. he's starved of intimacy and tenderness. he has an extremely reserved and kind nature. it's a much more meaningful to have a character like that find someone who recognizes his gentleness and desire for gentleness in him and offers it to him. those characteristics don't make him any less of a man.

god never wrote a good play in his life: a god/chuck character study written in second person. i genuinely don't know how the toxic sibling relationship btwn amara and chuck doesn't make more people absolutely fucking insane. this story is chuck-centered, obviously, but i don't think anyone realizes WHY i did that. i don't like chuck! i didn't like writing from his perspective! i did it bc all of supernatural is chuck-centered. even when it isn't quote-unquote "his" story, it's still his. the point of the whole thing is for the reader to do what chuck/the show doesn't: break out of what's being told to u! look at the other characters! namely, look at amara.

chuck tries to scrub her from the story completely. the fic is 3k long, yet chuck doesn't mention amara at ALL unless she's onscreen. and even when she is onscreen, we can't trust a fucking thing he says! as exemplified here:

Maybe that wasn’t how it happened. Maybe you and your Sister were perfectly capable of creation. It would be absurd if you weren’t. Surely it wasn’t possible that you couldn’t create anything together. If you were in harmony, that should have implied you, together, would excel at it. She was an eccentric mind, designing balls of gas and entire solar systems that resembled you, right where all your rings met. (The most terrifying thing She came up with was the collapse of a star, where it became a gaping black mouth that swallowed everything in sight. You and I, She explained, perfectly in balance.) You were far less excitable, putting all your focus into the one planet you’d claimed as your own, but as you watched Her in those moments, you privately invented jealousy. Maybe you were lying about the lying. Perhaps They did give you counsel in a lapse of generosity, and your essence catapulted as you realized you would have to choose. Or possibly that day went like every other. Maybe She never met Them, and you only met Them much later, once you had shoehorned Them into part of your story. So instead of revelations and sacrifices, your Sister told you about centripetal force as you floated, listening, your rings spinning in slow, lazy circles, and you told Her about how little you cared for all this science and math She liked so much. Where is the pathos? you asked, and She sighed much as an exasperated older Sister should, and you realized that you loved Her very much. Or maybe you didn’t.

WHY? why is that? it's because the longer she's in the story, the worse chuck looks.

amara loved chuck from beginning to fucking end. she was born loving him. she chose him, always, over and over again. and chuck knew this! he used it! he would dangle the possibility of him finally loving her back to get her to do what he wanted. and what does chuck do abt this? abt his story, the first to ever exist? he recreates it. michael & lucifer; cain & abel; dean and sam (all men, curiously). to ... what? prove that he isn't the only brother to have not loved his sibling back? that in his position, u would've done the same?

i could talk abt that fic all day. best thing i've ever written.

The man turns away from Shuuichi and yells in a gravelly voice, “Hey, Kid! You better be ready to go!” before facing Shuuichi again, “Can’t believe you cancelled on me last week. D’you have any idea what a pain he is? We all gotta take our turn with the brat, I get that, so don’t you be shirking your turn, you hear?”

“What?” he says stupidly. 

Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, the man’s attention is drawn by a small child struggling down the hallway under the weight of a beaten cardboard box. Shuuichi stands there rather dumbly as he watches the boy slide his feet into sneakers that are clearly too big for him. He doesn’t meet Shuuichi’s eyes the whole time, but he moves to stand next to him as though this is a perfectly regular occurrence. He turns back to the man who opened the door, bows despite the burden caught in his arms, and says, “Thank you for watching me.”

The man scoffs but reaches out to ruffle the boy’s hair. “See you ‘round, Kid. Try not to drive Morita too crazy, yeah?” and then the door is shut once more, the only evidence it ever opened at all standing at Shuuichi’s side and looking far too comfortable with whatever just happened.

The child turns to Shuuichi and bows to him, still not meeting his eyes, “Thank you for taking me in.”

i.e, Natori is mistaken for a relative of little Natsume's while trying to find out info for an exorcist gig and now he has this kid he's literally just met what in the—??

if everything goes how I want it to, this'll be a one-shot and Natsume will end up living with Natori full-time, or at the least I'll end it with Natori making moves to that end anyway

Talon!Dick's hair is pretty soft once he's back with the batfam cause of more proper care!

Back with the court, he didn't have time to really do much other than keep himself clean, so he didn't have like, hair conditioner or anything like that other than some shampoo to wash his hair and all the other necessary stuff like soap/body wash etc, but we'll leave it at that since we're gonna do hair talk and some fluff! >:Dc

If you wanna touch his hair, depending on which time period you're thinking of, I'll list down a little progression so we get all the reactions! Hope this is fun to read!

Reactions to headpats:

Dick still with the Court of Owls - While here, the court is very sparse with physical affection, if there's any at all. At most, they only tell him "Good work," with a hand on his shoulder if he did something they deem as a job well done. Attempting to pat his head during this time, usually makes him tense and pull back a bit, mostly because a lot of time, physical contact had been unpleasant. When someone does pat his head, he's, at first, confused, and maybe a little cautious since he's unsure if there's any other intent behind the physical contact. He's like "...??" After confirmation that he's not going to get hurt, he'll eventually let himself relax into the touch and tries to enjoy it for as long as he can. He thinks it's nice and would love to get more even if he's pretty sure requesting this is out of the question. The court would not tolerate insignificant requests.

Back with Batfam - After months of recovery, Dick went from being very tense to physical contact to being able to completely fall asleep to someone petting his head or gently running their fingers through his hair. He'll probably ask for them himself too! Either through body language like scooting closer to someone with his head lowered, or being vocal about what he wants. He very much enjoys hugs too once he has adjusted back to life with the batfam and he's more than happy to return the hug!

Bonus! Imagine Cass playing with Dick's hair and leaving him with cute hair clips. Maybe It even become a little tradition where they trade hair clips every time they hang out! Or each of the batfam sometimes has leftover feathers from Dick hugging them with his wings.

IN SHORT: I think after some readjusting back into a more normal life, he's happy to receive and give hugs and head pats! For the Court era, he's a little reluctant to both, but he'll warm up!

Sorry for rambling haha, I like brain storming possible scenarios for this AU (*￣U￣)╭ Here's little treat for you. I'll leave this ambiguous to who's petting his head. Can be you, a member of the batfam, or Wally 👀 maybe even a memory or a dream Dick is having of his parents. Let your imagination decide! Mediocre writing drabble ahead o(-( BUT I did have fun tho hehe!

Upon seeing a shift in their hand, Talon finds himself balling his fists, feathers bristling, and head lowering automatically for what usually came next, only for him to feel fingers carding through his hair gently. He blinks, once, twice, then gathers enough courage to look up and face the owner of the hand currently playing with his messy hair. This... is new...? He's pretty sure he's getting his head petted right now, and he's not sure what to do other than stand awkwardly and try not to fidget. The court almost never did this, and when they do, it usually came with some kind of degrading words. Should he do or say something? Maybe the latter isn't a good idea. Then there's a gentle voice coaxing him to relax, so with some reluctance and silent debate, Talon allows his shoulders to relax along with his body, wings shifting to a more comfortable position. The feathers smooth themselves as he's no longer on high alert for potential incoming attacks that... were never there in the first place. More reassuring words lull him under a blanket of calm, and he couldn't help but lean his head into the touch a little more with a sigh he had been unknowingly holding. If this is happening, might as well enjoy it while he can. It's... nice. Much more than anything he's ever felt. Talon's eyes drift shut to the slow strokes of the hand on his head, and he finds that he's not as tense as he was earlier. For once, he wasn't a weapon or an assassin armed to the teeth with knives and daggers while on a mission. Maybe he's home.

this one is a No Capes AU (means they are civilians not superheroes) where bruce goes "perhaps,,, i will seek professional help,,," and does not end up punching criminals in the throat at night. instead he is metaphorically punching criminals in the throat by focusing 100% of his attention on the civilian sphere (instead of 50% bc bruce still does that in canon... just not as much as he dropkicks in the name of justice sjkjskksj)

i love it bc it's SO good,,, so Healing,,,,,, he still adopts all his kids except they are ALSO well-adjusted kids who. stay kids instead of vigilantes. please read this series if u want family-friendly fun that is wholesome and cute <3

In Supersons we see a couple of kids that are implied to be Damian and Jon's children and the boy has laser eyes and can fly, so I asume he's not adopted. The girl, who calls Bruce grandpa, can also fly, btw. So it's canon (probably by accident) that Jon can have kids and he must have married one of Bruce's kids. Jester Harley. 10/10. An actual classic, makes me so nostalgic !!! i really want a harley tattoo based off her jester look. Honestly I really want to see more of actual jester Harley in more media? 

Suicide Squad Harley. 4/10. Not That great, but I love Margot Robbie’s Harley. This design she is very much the joker crazy Harley, with the tattoos that cater to him, the outfit, etc. Her hair looks so cool, and I do like the vibes of it? it does kind of bother me that when people think of harley they now associate her with this outfit, when there’s so many outfits that are BETTER

Birds of Prey Harley. 9/10 HELL yes. This is the shit that I’m talking about. The break up Harley. Like her outfit looks fun, she looks fun. I’m obsessed with this look. she had so many iconic outfits in this movie and they are all good!!!!!

New 52 Harley. 7/10. I love this classic black and red look. Like I’m literally in love with that colour scheme for her. I actually quite like this outfit?

Arkham Asylum Harley. 5/10. Here me out, I might be a little bias when it comes to this Harley. This is not my favourite Harley from the game series. however, I do love these games. They did do Harley a little dirty though.

Arkham Knight Harley. 8/10. This is definitely the best look she has in the game series!!!! She looks so cool and I’m literally in love with her outfit. Her being still joker obsessed in this knocks a few points off though. But different universe i guess!!!

Harley Quinn Show Harley. 9/10. I love this combo of blue and pink with the red and black. Also this show is genuinely so good !!!! pls watch it, it’s so chaotic and funny
