@nezumivc103221 | Starter, bar singer verse.
"Will she do?"
"Absolutely."
Autumn politely smiled at the man that had introduced himself as Rikiga on earlier days when the agreement and conditions had been established for this meeting. Before the man let go of the unsteady singer, Autumn pulled an envelope with thousands in cash.
He took Eve's hand and guided her into the suite. She had a soft grip compared to the hefty touch of Nezumi back in the library, where they would discuss philosophy for a couple of hours. Now, he could barely hold a greeting sentence. Nevertheless, it was what Autumn had requested, and Rikiga delivered at face value. Good. It was time to give the coup de grace, a spiked gin glass that would send Eve to a gentle slumber.
With no need for a dark wig or green contact lenses anymore, Autumn held her in his arms and took the elevator down to the basement, where he parked his car.
Rikiga might know how to deliver prostitutes, but he's far from a thriving business if anyone can run away with them, leaving behind any suspicions. It made Autumn wonder which other methods Yoming's mob used to keep his workers to stay.
Autumn considered himself close to Nezumi, but that was relative. He wasn't close to anyone else, and he never met with anyone further than three times. Nezumi had been an exception for a year at the library, and while they talked about sex work, Nezumi never mentioned he was an escort. Instead, he said he was an artist —a singer at Yoming's bar, leading Autumn to distance himself. Autumn had already begun his investigations inside the bar, and Nezumi would turn into a weakness. Nevertheless, Nezumi was his cash cow all along.
Autumn's mixed feelings had been absurd, one was happy for the cheery Nezumi eating up the stage every night, and the other was conflicted about Nezumi falling into Autumn's revenge plan.
He thought of alternatives, Nezumi was the closest to a friendship he ever had in his life, after all, but all the other options led to failure. He couldn't give that satisfaction to Yoming. He had had enough fun with him and his father more than a decade ago.
The most he could do was to set a comfortable place for Nezumi to be captive.
Autumn sat Eve on a wooden chair. He had gotten it from the regional theatre: Shakespeare Falcon Inn's Chair imitation. He tied his legs and arms with bondage ropes. He didn't want to hurt him, although he might.
It would all be a game, a play in which Nezumi would be the protagonist and Autumn the antagonist and spectator, so he set a red carpet for him, a velvety feeling for his naked feet.
There was a shatterproof mirror, a table, and a bed in the chair style, a wall dividing the bathroom from the room. An actress might be okay with a missing door when a five-star room has been set solely for her stay. Autumn knows the diva Nezumi can be. However, Eve has no other choice. She even has a beige blindfold not to be bothered in her sleep. But perhaps, that's a lie.
It was time for the show of her life; with all the lights on her, Autumn tugged at Eve's hair and sunk her face into a large bowl of iced water. One time to wake her up and a second time until she squirmed and fought.
"Those whom fortune favors/find good luck even in their sleep."
Autumn whispered against Eve's ears, words that Nezumi would recognize from the moon, the sun, and Talia. He held her tight and observed the black mascara spilling down her face. Tsk. She will need new blindfolds. He'll let her choose the next color.

the thing about having been really broke. averaging $500 a month in a good year broke. using a gamestop credit card i shouldn't have qualified for to buy taco bell gift cards for food broke. is that i am SO bad with money. i have a degree in accounting and i am so bad with money. i do not think of myself as superstitious at all but money feels so cursed. not in a spiritual way, i mean literally. practically.
having 'too much' money feels so bad. money is a thing you spend as soon as you get it because it's so cursed. the more it is the more cursed it is. i save too much money and bad things will happen that cost all my money. money is a thing that summons expenses. if i have no money and the car breaks down i find a way to make it work. i scrounge and resell and pass the hat and talk to my mom's friend's friend who knows a guy and in the end i'm so relieved to be right back where i started. but if i were saving my money for a new computer and then the car broke down, the money is just gone. i spent the money i saved for a thing i wanted on a thing i needed instead and after all that hoping i'm right back where i started.
i get a windfall and i set the money aside because if i'm careful that's enough to pay for gas for months. but then i need to pay for heat and i apply for assistance and they look at my bank account and see i have money and now they won't help pay for heat. soon it's just a habit. i get the money and i spend the money. immediately, as soon as possible, get this money away from me. don't even save enough for cigarettes. i can find money for cigarettes, somehow i can always find money for cigarettes. cigarette money is a weird magical fake money i summon from dark corners whenever i run out of cigarettes. i don't know how it works either. i've tried to summon the cigarette money for things that aren't cigarettes and it never works. just get this out of my bank account. get it out of here before something notices there's money here.
anyway i'm working on it but god it's hard

THINGS THAT HAPPENED:
Jensen Ross Ackles made the acting choice to pick up Castiel's trench coat and fold it gently like a flag because he believed that's what Dean would've done.
Jensen Ross Ackles was so pissed about the Destiel conflict and Dean treating Cas so harshly in the so-called divorce arc that he confronted the writer (Bobo) about it. He asked for explanation and toning the conflict down.
Jensen Ross Ackles, when asked about what he was most excited to tackle with his character in the final season of the show, took a time to think about his answer and then WITH ZERO HESITATION said: CAS.
Jensen Ross Ackles called Castiel's goodbye (aka the confession) a pivotal moment for the whole arc of the show.
Jensen Ross Ackles asked a crew member to record the confession ON HIS PHONE because he wanted to have the og, unedited version of the confession.
Jensen Ross Ackles said Dean would've said "I love you too" and then hugged Cas.
Jensen Ross Ackles admitted to the crowd of thousands of fans that Dean's biggest regret was not being able to save Cas.
Jensen Ross Ackles wrote a song about Cas.
