I know your asks say specific topics, but since I saw you liked my post on Superman & Lois lack of gay rep, what are your thoughts on the characters and their gay rep in general?

Thanks for the ask.

Idefinitely should add S&L ( plus other shows) on my pinned post. Just slipped my mind at the time.

FIY, for brevity sakes, I use bisexual as a umbrella term for anyone who isn't potrayed as 100% monosexual, (including fluid, pan and bicurious people).

Lets begin with Sarah. I hate the ONE bisexual character cheated. I wouldn't mind it if there were more bi characters on the show, who don't cheat, and preferably straight characters who do cheat (which did happen a few episodes later, but it doens't help a lot without faithful bi characters, since the message then becomes: "some straights cheat, all bisexuals cheat", instead of "some straights and some bisexuals cheat"). What makes it even more annoying to me is that a) her bisexuality/bicuriosity was introduced through cheating, which imo just highlight that the first bi characters was unfaithful and b) she cheated on Jordan with a girl, which, imo, feeds into the stereotype about bi people never being satisfied in a monogomous relationship with a man, because they need something only a woman can provide them (or/and vice versa).

I actually like Sarah. Even is s2. I don't mind her making mistakes. I don't mind her kissing another person. It was moment of weakness, and she came clean. In world where "cheating bisexual" wasn't a stereotype, or she wasn't the only bi character on the show, I wouldn't mind.

What I DO like about how Sarah kissing Aubrey is handled is that it Aubrey being a girl isn't a big deal, and there isn't any need (from the narritive, Sarah, or other characters) for her to lable or explain her sexuality.

I would have liked a brief scene where she discussed her sexuality with someone. Is she certain she is bi? If so, did she know before that summer? Is she still figuring things out? Is she mostly straight, but occasionally has confusing feelings about certain girls? Was she tempted to kiss Aubrey because of a silly whim, curiosity, or genuine attraction? Still, it's nice the show simply had Sarah kiss a girl, without focusing on her identity, and the kiss was still treated as a "real" kiss, not just some silly joke between two friends.

Non-sexuality related sidebar: If we remove sexuality from the equation, I still feel like that the show could have skipped the cheating plot, or done it differently, e.g. use it to explore Jordan's fears of Sarah losing interest in him, or show him needing to learn to talk things through properly, instead of assuming everything will be fine with apologies and love confessions.

Now, moving on from Sarah. As far as I know, S&L doens't have an queer characters. Which I am fine with. Not every show NEEDS a queer character. The world needs more representation, but no piece of fiction can represent every underrepresented groups out there.

I never personally read Chrissy as queer, but sucks you are dissapointed.

Natelie is based off Natasha Irons, who dated a girl in the comics, so I was expecting her to be queer. However, the comics never confirmed she was a lesbian, just that she was into girls. Here's hoping we get Bi Nat.

Some peolpe want Jon to be bi, because comic Jon Kent is bi. To me, these two are two different characters, not different iteration/version of the same character. Making him bi would be cool. We need more queer jocks and male bi characters. But at the same time, if S&L would make him bi, it would feel like he was a different version of THAT Jon, and I kind of want Jon and Jordan to be their own, original characters.

I personally hc Jordan as bi. I relate to him, and tend to project a lot on him, so I made him queer ( I am a lesbian, not a bi guy, so it's different, but it's still involves being attracted to your own gender). In my hc, he wasn't 100% sure about his sexuality before s2, but had suspected he is bi for years. After learning Sarah kissed Aubrey, he started thinking harder about his sexuality (something he had mostly tried to avoid, because he didn't want to feel even more different than he already did), and became certain he was bi. He hasn't come out to anyone yet, but considered telling Sarah. In the end, he chickened out, because he wasn't quite ready to come out to anyone, not even another queer person. He still sometimes considers telling Sarah or Jon, but since he only has eyes for Sarah, he doens't really feel the need to bring it up + he has a lingering fear Sarah would find him less attractive if she knew, even though he knows Sarah is properly too open-minded to accept the double standards surrounding female and male bisexuality.

👋 oh yeah logically it makes the most sense for jon to be the anna of the situ, but one of my fav jonsa fics is love exists in many forms by dialux where sansa is raised as a bastard in the vale by lord and lady arryn as a companion to their daughter alayne and then finds out later she’s actually a legitimate stark after plot happens and she meets jon and the targs in king’s landing, so i’m also kind of attached to that idea of sansa suddenly becoming a stark and having that disconnect of identity but also discovering her family. a past worth having by honorificabilitudinitatibus also has a similar premise.

one of my personal hc’s for all the starks is that they all feel like the one that’s “out of place” amongst the starklings for various reasons, so exploring that in a more extreme way of being actually removed from and then brought to their family is way interesting to me, so that combined with the inspiration of those fics has me wanting to put sansa in the anna role.

i’ve also entertained the idea of all of the stark kids sticking together in the orphanage and then sansa’s called into london and discovers that they’re actually all legitimate and has to 1) learn the rules of the ton and 2) help her unruly younger siblings figure it out as well and 3) find an eligible match to keep them all secure that isn’t the impossible dream of hers to marry the ever eligible jon targaryen/duke of dragonstone (you are also on my list of inspo btw) so like, it all comes down to how much i can reasonably and believably stretch the relations of these characters lmao

plus i think the targs might be better suited to the drama cooked up by the westcotts than the starks would? idk at this point it’s all conjecture and daydreaming lol

👪 - Does your HF oc have any relations to any canon HF characters, be it familial, platonic, romantic, or what have you?

familial, no. i did, very briefly, consider making jasper a matthews at one point. but i ultimately decided to make the mckenzies their own separate family. i do still imagine jasper's older brother larry as jon, tho!

but otherwise, jasper is of course good buddies with the other rollerama kids! after moving to pinebrook, the mckenzies started rubbing elbows with roman murray and occasionally the monroes (linda doesn't particularly enjoy her boys hanging around the mckenzie kids bc they "look poor"), and jasper's mom works at hf high so she's acquainted with "miss holliday". romantic, tho? well, jasper doesn't really realize it yet, but they've developed a bit of a puppy love crush on their closest friend from the rollerama, a boy named austin pavoni (my hc name for the bloody-nosed boy from yellow jacket, so he counts as a canon character).

😈 - Which Lord in Black would be most likely to target your HF oc?

i think even outside the context of the rollerama, jasper could/would be an easy target for pokey. jasper's got a lot of wants in his life. wants to be loved, wants to make their family proud, wants to feel useful. all stuff that pokey could easily manipulate to his advantage. if jasper were an adult, i think wiggly might also be all eyes emoji for him in a few timelines for similar reasons.

Absolutely random and absolutely no need to reply at all, but I was just randomly thinking like...where did the hc that Georgie is black come from? I love her and the HC but just wondering where where it came from, thought u might know (idk)

I’m not actually sure! It was one of those designs that just kind of... wormed it’s way in their to be fanon and people stopped questioning it? t’s a weird one, because it used to be not very common, and in fact Georgie would often be ginger. And then a lot of people got very into Wooden Overcoats over what I think was the S4-5 hiatus. And since the Georgie from that show is canonically ginger, I think people might’ve wanted to be able to distinguish the two, and black Georgie, often with long braids or a bandana, is what was settled on?

It’s weird because Georgie, in my opinion, is one of the most clearly white-coded characters in the show (all of the so-called aracial ones pretty much are but Georgie in particular) because we have her talking about being the subject of class abuse. She says that she used to try and hide her scouse accent at Oxford because the posh rich kids would give her shit for it, and it makes sense that were she to be anything other than white, that factor would be brought up too here, but due to race deliberately being excluded, it just gives us the implication that that wasn’t a problem from the same bigoted pricks that were already being awful, thus leading to the conclusion that she’s likely white.

It’s also notable that when this fanon was emerging, Georgie was often less of a character in fics, and more of a... stand in for Jon’s ability to process emotions? She just seemed to exist to take care of him and tell him what he was feeling, which obviously has negative connotations if she’s one of the only black MCs being portrayed in that specific work. But at the same time, she was a relatively uncontroversial character who was widely liked, so I assume it was considered rather safe to make her black if you were the type of author to design with the intent to hit as many minority boxes as possible rather than actually use the character to inform these HCs

That’s not to say it’s problematic to make her such, at least as far as I’m aware, I just have personally never seen it explored in much depth beyond literal skin-deep pasting that aesthetic onto her and not engaging with how it changes the text. But maybe that does exist and I just haven’t seen it, I certainly don’t know everything that goes on and if anyone knows of some good content for that please link I’d love to see it.

Blorbo - my blorbo is probably Michael! I was absolutely obsessed with that guy and the system decided to fuck around and get a fictive of him so that was a time! He’s got such an interesting character I love all the discussion around identity and if you have a self. Ot hit very close to home and he is very dissociation actually so that was relatable! Michael Shelley is great , on of the most anger inducing things is people infantilising Michael Shelley. He’s not a kid you absolute dipshit. The distortion itself is such a cool concept and I’m obsessed. Michael distortion is both but also not really either and waaa I love them<3<3<3 ALSO Melanie king! I cannot talk as much about her I have strong incoherent thoughts about her she is wonderful and probs the smartest archive assistant in the show. (Sasha was not ‘the brain cell’ actually she followed some blond weirdo to an abandoned pub) and her and Georgie are so much to me! BUT LIKE…Michael , Melanie and Sasha James too if I had to pick. Sasha means a lot to me and I disagree with the fanon of ‘oh she’s the brain cell’ no the fuck she is not, let a girl be a lil silly omg you guys hate to see a girlboss winning.

Scrunkly - hmm. You see all of them are just SO. I think if I was forced to choose I would go Jane Prentiss! I’m a strong believer she did nothing wrong, her arc hit very close as someone with bfrbs and dependency issues! She is wonderful I’m corruption aligned. I think a lot about her pre corruption and what she said in her statement about going to the park in the sun and drinking wine. It’s healing to imagine her doing the same while with the hive, or post-hive (I read a fic and it was good so now it’s canon) I think she is wonderful! And gorgeous with the worms btw, only lame people don’t think she’s cute with the worms.

Scrimblo bimblo - OLIVER BANKS. Get fucked he’s like sexiest best most epic guy ever he committed identify theft to take a nap and I felt him! Epic guy wonderful I don’t know too much about him but Oliver banks is one of my favourite characters! Not to mention I love end avatars, not aligned with it much myself but it slaps!

Glup shitto - RYAN (mentioned in episode 101, Michael’s statement) AND GABRIEL THE WORKER OF CLAY (I think he’s mentioned more than once but mainly ep 101 again) my lord I have so any thoughts about how Michael and Ryan’s childhood friendship literally lead to Michael becoming the distortion! What if Ryan’s not dead hmm? What I’d they reunited hmm? What if they were besties again hmm? Also the worker of clay is such a cool character, he basically worshiped the distortion and “dissolved his veins in crimson mud” when the great twisting failed. I’m obsessed. Since people like religious themes in relationships so much JUST LOOK AT GABRIEL WORKER OF CLAY!!!! So many opportunities here you’re all sleeping on them.

Poor little meow meow - Jon sad guy Sims my favourite pathetic archivist <3<3<3<3 he’s just sopping wet!! Love him!! Quite relatable but like specifically in seasons 2 and up. Don’t relate much to academic nerd my test week starts tomorrow and I haven’t done any revision. I can however relate to paranoia and suspicion of those who care about you <3 ! Idk if I have a problematic fave? I genuinely dislike Gertrude Robinson but I’m not like weird about it. System Michael feels quite strongly about it and I always disliked the fact she is reminiscent of adults I tried to gain the approval of and failed and got upset. Soooo I don’t like gertie but if you do good for you ! So Jon is my most pathetic guy I like methinks.

Horse plinko - my hc and fic track record would suggest Michael and Jon! And Tim! I love me some good Tim after realising not-Sasha isn’t Sasha! I love Tim but oh my lord that is the good shit. I would torment Elias bc fuck him (mad at what he did to Melanie and Martin specifically I don’t care if he kills people or is evil I’m mad at two very specific events).

Eeby deeby - we’ve already talked about my feelings on Gertrude. I hate her but that’s entirely for bias and personal reasons and she’s a well written and compelling character. I’m not like overly big on hating Elias he’s whatever, I DO hate Peter Lukas, I think people really minimise how awful he really was. He did what Gertrude did but he never had any good intentions! At least gertie was trying to save the world. Peter was just a dick. Of course he’s still funny and I like that he got PLAYED by Martin WOOO go Martin (didn’t fit any of the categories but Martin is very important to me and he’s a badass and cool stop being like ‘soft boy’ bc my lad he is a full grown man you’re just fatphobic.) anyways! Answer? MARY KEAY. I cannot believe I haven’t mentioned my hatred for her before. (She’s again well written the podcast is good so like obvs) BUT MY LORD. she is quite like our mother in some aspects and Gerry’s statement hit quite hard. She’s a bitch with do redeeming features no good intentions I would happily see her rot <3<3

My personal favorite headcannon is that the brother that Brynden mentions to Bran that 'he loved' is, in fact, Daemon Blackfyre; of course, the obvious choice would be Daeron 'the Good', I mean, he fought his king against Daemon, and nevertheless, killed him and his heirs, going so far that he went to history as a quenched Targaryen loyalist, always dismantling any Blackfyre insurrection but, wouldn't be more interesting if Brynden was thorn between 'love or duty', as many characters in asoiaf are? He could have he's reasons for loving Daemon: I mean, how couldn't he? the head of the Blackfyre dynasty was the ideal that any bastard could dream of being: was raised at court, being acknowledge by the realm despite his status (maybe for the wrong reasons, as many of his supporters had conniptions with the dornish), being acknowledge BY THE KING. And, I imagine, that being raised at court, and having similar status as Daemon, Brynden could relate a lot more with him than with Daeron, who was the heir and prince, something that he never dreamed of reaching. I imagined that, by the end of the day, Brynden loved and idealized Daemon, and the fact that Aegor persuaded him to rebel against the crown was a dagger to his heart, this and the old adage that so many characters of the books try to follow: "love is the death of duty".

yes, as you've said it's very easy to imagine daeron as the "brother he loved" of brynden. he fought for him, he killed for him, he became kinslayer, he stayed loyal to house targaryen after he died, he served his sons. i also think it's very much likely was daeron who gave brynden the dark sister for all his accomplishments.

yet, however much i love to imagine brynden having friendly relationship with daeron, the concept of "brother he loved" being daemon... just strikes different. and indeed does feel like smth grrm would go after - as you've said, "love vs duty" kind of situation, "human heart in conflict with itself" trope that grrm likes so much. there's even enough basis for this in canon, imo. i rlly like how you pointed it out! bc YES, brynden had more in common with daemon, another king's bastard, than with daeron, the prince of dragonstone. they were even closer in age to each other while daeron was much older. e.g. daeron was already 17 when daemon was born and 22 when brynden was. such a big age gap, esp in the world where ppl are considered 100% adults at 16, doesn't seem to me like a sign of a close relationship. ffs, brynden was very much likely younger than baelor breakspear, daeron's eldest son, and probably younger or around the same age of aerys i, daeron's second son. and yeah, sure, we do know that brynden's mother, missy blackwood, befriended naerys, aemon the dragonknight and daeron himself, yet i can see this only as brynden being kind of a distant little nephew to daeron, not a brother close to heart. and when we have the combination of the age gap AND different social status chances of close friendship go to hell pretty much, imo.

another great bastard who was even closer in age to brynden was aegor. and well... we know they weren't friends for sure lmao. this blackwoods vs brackens thing as addition to everything else ig. it's kinda curious tho that aegor was growing up away from the king's landing while both daemon and brynden were raised at court, and yet in the later years aegor and daemon somehow bonded and bittersteel even managed to persuade daemon to fight for the throne...

i must say i especially love the part of brynden idealizing daemon and feeling betrayed when he got persuaded by aegor to rebel!!! ah, ol' good targ drama, we love it. but personally i'm especially delighted to see this (and adapt this hc pls 😂) bc it reminds me so much of brynden & jon snow parallels that i enjoy a lot! it gives me the vibes of robb and jon: a close brother who has the love of their father while you are otherized and you still love this brother (even if are jealous in some way?). surely, i think there are greater parallels with daeron & robb / brynden & jon aka bastard bros staying loyal to their legitimate siblings despite everything. yet, now i cant unsee daemon & robb / brynden & jon! like yeah daemon got papa's love and was that perfect targaryen prince (except for the name) while brynden was otherized not just bc he was a bastard but bc of his looks as well. yes, jon and robb are the illegitimate vs legitimate kids situation but daemon being all that except for being waters and brynden also being rivers but still far from the perfect prince(TM) imagery gives us so many opportunities to wonder what their dynamics rlly was! bc i believe this basis of being able to relate to each other could make it so super interesting!

agsvxvsh idk if i'm making sense rn so the main point i wanted to lead to. brynden "he had sacrificed his own personal honor for the good of the realm" rivers chose duty and did what he thought right - put an end to blackfyre rebellions, got the kinslayer attire for this and was sent to the night's watch after his last attempt to end blackfyres. he paid for his choice. jon "i am the sword that guards the realm of men, and in the end, that must be worth more than one man's honor" snow chose love. his decision to march for arya is one of the main reasons he got assassinated. he paid for his choice too.

these parallels with jon that only shine brighter when you consider daemon as "the brother he loved" of brynden are one of the main reasons i love this hc! but ofc the whole complexity and potential of their story and situation that you get play the huge role too. it's a very rich concept that i enjoy so so much!

1. Inevitable is an absolute masterpiece of a song and it ties in all the previous songs that were there in the show

2. It provides context to the intro song (its all a fucking loop babey)

3. We get this one final moment of softness

4. Emma's scream perfectly harmonises with the ending of inevitable

5. It spectacularly breaks the 4th wall for the second time and integrates the audience as characters in the show

6. They never once break character through the whole thing

7. It proves once and for all that the hero of the story was never paul, it was emma. paul was just the final villain

Ok first of fucking all I love the way you write, it's really hard to find a writer who can make a character or topic im not particularly interested in actually worth reading. Fucking spot on my guy 👌. Secondly, I was wondering if you'd be up for a request with Mof Johnathan and Arkham Eddie? If you could write a scenario were he's sitting down at his workspaces or couch working on something villain related and they feel a full blown breakdown coming on. Like they're really fucking stressed for whatever reason (take your pick) and the fact that they can't even focus on their own work is making it worse. Their s/o walks in and all it takes is a glance in his direction to figure out they've stumbled upon a ticking time bomb. So, as a spur of the moment attempt to distract him, they plop themselves into his lap and start whispering sweet nothings and praise while they stroke his hair (your choice whether it gets saucy from there or not). I'm a soft bitch and I need you to quench my thirst for hurt/comfort fics.

nothings better than making grown men break down. also, despite being short, this took so god damn long, i swear. but writing eddies pov is just so enjoyable, thats rewarding enough. he's such a stupid fuck its adorable

It didn't feel right. At all. Nothing felt right. Everything was wrong. Every scratch of his pen on the paper felt like nails on a blackboard and his ears were ringing. His hands were shaking and instead of words, there were just crooked lines, like a hand-written ECG record. Every little sound from outside made him jump, every little drop of rain falling onto the window felt like a small bomb going off right besides his ear.

Ever since he woke up today, everything felt so wrong. You weren't in bed when he woke up, your side already cold because you left for work. Because he slept in and couldn't even say goodmorning to you. Or goodbye. And if something happened to you? It was Gotham, everything could happen to you. And he didn't even get the chance to see you, talk to you, kiss you. And the scrambled eggs he reluctantly made for breakfast almost made him vomit. He didn't eat them. Actually, he hadn't ate at all. Nothing. Not a crumb. It made him sick.

It's like he felt something coming, but he had no idea what. Like a storm, like danger. The feeling you get when you're being watched. The feeling he always got when he heard those specific footsteps in school hallways. Very specific. Measured, every move thought out - the trait of a sportsman. But heavy. Not clicking on the floor, but thumping. Very loud and very obvious. The footsteps that made him freeze in place because even if he tried, he wouldn't outrun them. They would follow. The pain would follow. Thump, thump, thump on the floor, foretelling nothing good, right around the corner, right... behind him!

He jumped up high in his seat, whipping his head around, eyes trying to scan the room but it all felt foggy. The only clear thing was the loud crack of the pen breaking in his clenched hand. And the first thing he saw was a hand, reaching out for him, maybe for his throat, maybe to thrash him around - he didn't know, but it was too close.

– Jon? – it was like something snapped in him when it was your voice that rang in his ears and his breathing stilled when he realized you were lightly rubbing your right hand. Did he hurt you? He wanted to ask, he needed to know if he hurt you, if he fucked up again but when his eyes finally looked up into yours, he couldn't say anything.

The best thing was, he didn't even need to. It's like you already knew. Like he didn't have to do anything and you just saw it. Knew it. Sensed it. And when you got closer this time, he didn't push you away. There was no pain. No pain when your brows furrowed in genuine concern. No pain when your hands cupped his face to look him in the eyes. No pain when you slowly lowered yourself onto his lap. You never brought pain.

– Oh, baby... – your tone was condescending in the best of ways, and your fingers glided up into his hair so gently, nails scratching softly at his scalp, and it's as if his eyes shut on their own accord as he curled into you, wrapping his arms tight around your torso to press you closer. Keep you there, in that exact spot. So that you would never leave.

– I'm sorry I hurt you. – he practically cried into your neck, pressing his face hard into your skin to remind himself that you were there for him. He had you right in his lap, and yet he had to fucking remind himself still. Why was he so fucked up? You didn't have to put up with this. You didn't have to care. He wasn't your responsibility, he was nothing. And yet...

– You could never. It's fine.

You hugged him tight, one hand combing through his messy hair, tangled from him pulling on it, and the other one tracing up and down his back, making up shapes as it went. There were spirals, zig zags, waves, straight lines - he focused strictly on the feeling of your fingers, imagining every little shape they drew.

He kind of wished his shirt was off. So that he could actually feel you on his skin.

– I'm sorry. – and he was, because you just came back from work, probably exhausted, and now you had to baby him since he couldn't even fucking take care of himself. Why was he like this?

– Don't. You don't have to be sorry for feeling something. It's what humans do.

How did you always know what to say? How did you always know what to do? What has he ever done to deserve even an ounce of what you gave him? Did it matter? He was so fucking glad you were back home.

Arkham!Eddie getting comforted hcs:

Mistake. One after another. Each one followed by the next, like a chain reaction. The only thing he fucking did today was mistakes. All the measurements were wrong. All his coding was wrong. Every single little thing was at least a little bit off. He didn't accept 'a little bit off'. It was either perfect, or it was nothing to him. He was nothing. Nothing but a fucking failure, constantly fucking things up, unable to perform even the simplest tasks. Every last idiot could programm a computer. And he wasn't an idiot. Or was he?

A groan ripped from his throat, the hand in his hair tightening.

If he wasn't an idiot, why couldn't he get anything done? If he wasn't an idiot, why did Batman, of all people, outsmart him? If he wasn't an idiot, why hasn't he won yet?

It's like his body wasn't his own when he let out a pathetically high-pitched growl and his arm instinctively threw the first thing it gripped at a wall. The coffee cup smashed into little pieces upon the impact, coffee splashing everywhere, blemishing everything. You brought him this cup. And the one before that. You put it there. You did yet another thing he hasn't asked of you. Why couldn't you just listen for once? Stop disturbing him? It was all your failt that he couldn't focus, because you were constantly going in and out of his workshop and he clearly told you to stay away.

Oh, speak of the fucking devil, he could already hear your thumping footsteps nearing the door, probably lured in by the sound of his cup shattering. Because you were 'worried', as if he would be stupid enough to injure himself or do anything reckless! He furiously pushed some old scraps of metal to the floor, making them clink loudly, feeling a slight sting on his forearm. Great, now he fucking cut himself because of you-

– Eddie, baby? You alright? – the sound of your gentle voice echoed in the room, overpowering the earlier noise. He didn't even grace that with a response, just sighed heavily, annoyance seeping out of him, as he leaned his head on his palm. Why did you have to ruin everything?

And then, just to spite him, you moved closer. Close enough for your sweet scent to fill his lungs, your fingers dancing over his shoulder and he almost shook them off. Instead, he abruptly leaned back in his chair, gritting his teeth. You wasted your chance to get out of here without a scratch.

What he didn't expect however, was your legs slowly, yet suddenly straddling him, hands on his shoulders, digging in lightly to massage and manipulate them into whatever it was you wanted. He felt his stomach churn, his blood boiling to the point where he felt hot all over and his hands almost, almost shot out in your direction. To push you off.

– If you haven't realised yet, I'm working. – it was a blatant lie and you knew it immediately. He wasn't working, not at all, only tinkering with things and fucking them up further. All because of you-

Your hands slowly travelled up, surprisingly careful not to tickle his neck, grabbing his face on both sides with that gentle, motherly fucking smile of yours. Like he was some child. Like you were trying to lure him in and... and... kiss his forhead, and... push your own against it, and- argh!

– Maybe take a little break, hm? – you muttered and he felt it more than heard it, your lips moving lightly against his skin, your nose soon nuzzling his long one and it's as if his head moved along on it's own accord.

This was such obvious manipulation-...!

– I don't need a break! I-...!

– I know you don't, Eddie. – you rudely cut him off, thumbs caressing his cheekbones – But I'm asking you nicely. I miss you.

Even if he protested, you wouldn't've let him go. It was obvious in the way your arms slid around his neck and shoulders, hugging him to your body, almost suffocating him in your chest and he just had to brace his hands on your back. And maybe he would've even pulled away, but you were so... warm. Soft. Like a pillow. And it made him snuggle in further.

– You're so clingy sometimes, you know that? – he muttered, his arms wrapping around you tighter, fingers hooking into your flesh and he felt your fingers slide into his hair, gently massaging his pounding scalp, making the ache almost instantly ease off slightly. His muslces started relaxing, too, his spine finally having a break from holding up his weight.

– You know you like it. – he clearly heard a chuckle in your voice, and it made his hand slide up to the back of your head to push you further into in, to quiet you, as his chin found it's place on your shoulder. Your nails dragged up and down his back, sneakily creeping under his clothes sometimes, and it made a violent but pleasant shiver run through his body, causing his arms to tighten around you.

Maybe he could take a break. You clearly needed him, it would be unwise to ignore you for too long. You could feel neglected, abandoned even - that could cause... problems. He didn't have the strength to deal with problems now. He could just indulge you for a little bit, no harm done. And so, his grip tightened, his body curling around you so every possible part of it was touching you.

You so obviously needed the comfort, and truly, he could never deny you.

While I love the idea of Jonzarro with powers, then I also like the idea that Bizarro Jordan is the only brother yet with powers, and Jonzarro is only using kryptonite or underwent some sort of experiment like Lana (since the 2x11 synopsis reveals he has powers). The public found out that one the El boys had powers, but for some reason (like only seeing him at a distance) they didn’t find out which one it was, and because Jordan couldn’t handle the idea of all te attention he might recieve, Jon “took the fall”, not to be a gloryhog, but to protect his brother. He started taking kryptonite/ underwent an experiment that granted him powers because he needed them to help him accomplish whatever goal he has.

This would show that despite being “villainous” Jonzarro is capable of love and thoughtfulness, especially if he doesn’t like his family’s fame, but endures it because Bizarro Jordan has social anxiety like his prime double. It would also allow the show to explore the pressure of being Superman’s “heir”.

to clarify, in this scenario jonzarro hasn't gotten his powers YET. He just couldn't bother to wait for them, bc he has stuff to do that is easier to do with superpowers. I hc that since hybrid animals turns out the same (like how all mules are fundamentally the same) and Kryptonian powers are related to cellular biology, then it isn't a matter of individual characteristics that might or might not be inherited, like hair colour, but but is fundamental to kryptonian-human biology.

I also just really want Jon to have powers. It's just a question of when it will work best story wise. For now I like him having no powers bc it suits this chapter of his character arc.

I don’t know if I’m the best person to come to with this request, seeing as I’m diagnosed with ADHD but I haven’t officially been diagnosed with Autism yet (though I’m fairly certain I have it), so I’m sorry in advance if I suck at this. Anyways, here’s some autistic headcanons for characters I HC as such!!!

Jonathan Sims: His special interest might actually be working because he just really likes consistency. Struggles with understanding sarcasm and “under the table” type jokes. Leg bounces for days. Hyperfocuses on researching stuff to the point that he was an amazing employee back in Research, but he often had to take a few days off after big projects because he would’t take proper care of himself while hyperfocused (he still struggles to). Can’t eat a lot of sugar or he gets hyper. If You Touch Him Without Permission, You Die.

Martin Blackwood: His special interests have mostly ever been related to dogs or writing poetry. Tea is the only drink he can stand having because everything else isn’t textured right. Weighted blankets are the best invention ever in his opinion. Has really high sensitivity to criticism and it annoys him to no end. Keeps his nails extra short to avoid them touching Bad Textures. If he has to wear jeans, he’ll be really uncomfortable for the entire duration of wearing them. He’d rather hang out with Annabelle than eat one single chip.

Tim Stoker: Doesn’t really have many special interests tbh, save for maybe outdoor activities. Can’t eat anything too bland or he will cry. Happy flapping is his favorite stim but his leg bounces alongside Jon’s a lot, too. Refuses to sit still ever and prefers to walk around while reading/working (one of the many reasons he refuses to record statements). Wears Hawaiian shirts at all times because they’re Good clothes to him. Refuses to wear a coat because it has a Bad Texture no matter what he does.

Sasha James: She switches interests non-stop and it’s hard for even her to keep up with them. Picks at the skin around her fingernails to the point that they’re always torn up; she’s tried bandaging them, but it doesn’t help. Spins in her office chair to stim at work. Forgets about personal space most of the time, but most everyone is chill with it by now (Jon still gets scared by it sometimes). Chews on pens and pencils constantly, the archives literally has no unbitten pens or pencils left. Has absolutely exploded pens on herself before.

Georgie Barker: Ghosts and the supernatural are her special interest. The Admiral isn’t an officially licensed service animal, but Georgie’s trained him to help her calm down from panic attacks when she’s home for them, otherwise she self-isolates until it’s over. Happy flaps a lot when she gets excited. Bites her fingers to the point that they bleed without her even realizing it. Needs a lot of physical stimuli to stay well.

Melanie King: Photography and cameras in general are her big special interests, so she collects a lot of cameras and photos. If she touches something sticky, a part of her will die. Hates being touched on the shoulders and back of her neck, even by people she’s close with. Presses up against the wall a lot in order to get stimulated. Petting animals is a surefire way to help her calm down if she gets upset.

Peter Lukas: Has no idea what a special interest is but he sure af likes boats. Gets overstimulated so easily that he can’t go anywhere that’s even remotely loud. Gets overwhelmed if people raise their voice at him. Cold places make him a lot calmer, and he likes holding ice until it melts. Lies down on the floor to decompress; weighted blankets help with this a lot. He has a service dog that helps him get out of crowds when necessary.

Gerry Keay: His special interests are fires, history, and grunge music. Likes to head-bang in order to stim, as well as snap his fingers and knock his knees together; honestly, he just does a lot of stimming. Used to get punished for stimming by his mum, so he does it really fast to avoid being noticed, which hurts a lot. Chews on his clothes if he can’t stim. Loves getting hugs more than anything else; please squeeze him until he explodes.

Michael Shelley (OG): His special interests are mostly related to the Spiral related supernatural cases, as well as to music from the 70s and 80s. Has to wear headphones and listen to music or he’ll be really anxious. Anxiety attacks happen so frequently for him and he hates it. Scratches his arms a lot when he needs to stim and can’t. Happy flapping king!

Mike Crew: His special interests are collecting and caring for succulents and the science behind aerodynamics. Free falls through the Vast to help himself relax after a hard day. Jumps around a lot- off of and onto furniture, up and down on trampolines, etc- in order to stim. Prefers not to talk if he can help it, but he’s not selectively mute (he was as a kid, though). Wears oversized coats and sweaters for that sweet, sweet pressure.

Agnes Montague: Has no special interests tbh. Is selectively mute a majority of the time, but she talks every rare, rare once in awhile, mostly when she’s forced to by the cult. Extremely touch-starved, and it makes her skin incredibly itchy, to the point that she scratches herself raw more often than not. Hot coffee cups are one of her favorite stimulants, right up there with submerging her body in hot water until it all evaporates into steam.

And that’s pretty much all the characters I HC as autistic (though I’m sure I missed a few)! I hope you guys like these, because I actually really enjoyed writing these headcanons!!!
