Yeah no I can actually see it so perfectly. Eddie had his realization and slowly accepted it during their talk at the grave yard. But that was also the same moment in which Buck made it seem like no one, including Eddie, sees the real him like Natalia did. So that obviously hurt Eddie and kickstarted his dating journey to get over Buck and all these feelings that have been building for years now. I mean we all know Eddie’s reaction to Buck dying wasn’t a normal best friend behavior.

Then we’re going to have Buck going through this drastic self discovery where he contemplates why his relationship with Natalia, the one person who supposedly saw him, failed. Maybe a comment is made about his close relationship with Eddie by an outsider, which then kick starts his own down spiral of his feelings for Eddie. He finally understands why it’s never worked with anyone else because no one comes close to Eddie who is the only person who really knows and sees Buck. And while Buck is hurting over Eddie dating Marisol, maybe Eddie confronts him about it and he finally confesses something about those feelings. Cue Eddie being hurt and pissed off because no he can’t do this. He can’t he’s tried to move on and he finally has. He’s trying this thing with Marisol because he knew he would never get to be with Buck. Cue angst between Buck and Eddie while Buck believes it’s an unrequited situation while Eddie struggles because he does still have feelings for Buck and the timing is so wrong. He’s still hurt from Buck’s words from their graveyard chat. Then bam, by the finale we finally have these two idiots come together and Eddie confesses his feelings too and they finally finally end this season with a concrete confirmation that Buddie will possibly get together/be together come season 8.

GUYS GUYS GUYS IM FREAKING OUT. So yk how we’ve all been collectively crying in the corner since we found out Eva is leaving Hadestown. Well I just found out where her next project is! So there’s this amazinggg local theatre in Millburn NJ called the Papermill Playhouse and it’s about a 45 min drive from NYC. And in the fall they’re going to do Great Gatsby the Musical. SO EVA IS GONNA PLAY DAISY! but wait ITS GETS BETTER. THE ROLE OF JAY GATSBY IS GOING TO BE PLAYED BY JEREMY JORDAN! sooooo if u feel like supporting Eva even after Hadestown maybe check it out. Plus there’s the added bonus of Jeremy Jordan :))))
