if you had to describe babs, cass, dick and damian to people who knew nothing about them, what would you say?
hmmm you didn't put a word/sentence count limit that is gonna make this long :P
Babs: Babs establishes the legacy of Batgirl as an equal who works independently and does not receive training from Batman, but what is truly important about her character is the way she re-invents herself after being seriously injured in the Killing Joke. Babs becomes Oracle, the information nexus of the superhero world, and does far more than she ever could when she was able bodied. She's an incredibly important character for this, and DC universe feels her absence when she is changed to be able bodied. She clearly articulates the value of a disabled life. The way that she handles and deals with trauma (through a nexus of control) is fun to read about. She also deeply believes in second chances and wants to help other people recover from terrible situations like she was in.
One sentence summary for Babs: Batgirl becomes informational center of superhero world after disabling injury, starts her own superhero team, is awesome.
Cass: Cass is the Batgirl after Babs. She is a perfectionist. She's extremely compassionate, she's one of the best if not the best martial artists in the world, and she is (at least at first) suicidal. Her arc is important and about her dealing with the crushing guilt she feels about having killed someone at eight years of age after being raised in an isolated environment and taught only how to fight. She was treated as a weapon. We see how she reaches to understand people and fight for her own agency against those who have different visions for her. Like Babs, Cass believes in second chances, and when she can she will reach out and try to get people who are against her to change their ways (though she needs a reason to believe they will change - she's not gonna say "hey joker let's redeem you", but she will reach out to her assassin fanboys or to Alpha)
One sentence summary for Cass: Child raised as killer doesn't want to kill and feels so guilty about it she's suicidal, becomes a superhero and one of the world's premiere martial artists and wants to save everyone.
Dick: first robin, then nightwing, occassional batman. Dick is a perfectionist, though I'd argue not in the same vein cass is, because Dick (when confronted with extremely high expectations) will get mad if he feels they are unfair and Cass just tries to reach them (Dick does too, but he like. feels like he shouldn't have to). He's competent in a wide variety of subject areas (like many batfam members). He's generally nice and social, but in no way the paragon of goodness - he's just some guy. If anything I'd say his morals in general seem a bit looser than Bruce's (and Cass's), he's definitely willing to give up on some people as lost, and he is kind of bitchy -- sometimes in a fun way, sometimes just in an 'asshole you would see on the internet' way, often going for low blows. However he does always try.
One sentence summary for Dick: He's just some guy but he's very talented and has friends.
Damian: youngest robin. Like Cass, Damian was raised to fight, but that's where their similarities end. Damian was raised as the heir to Ra's al Ghul, the leader of a cult dedicated to preserving the earth (sometimes via greatly reducing the human population). He received training in many areas including fighting, sciences, arts -- like pretty much an everything prodigy. When he gets to the Batfam, he has pretty much the rockiest intro possible (tries to kill/seriously attacks depending on your reading of it the previous robin). What's important about Damian is that he's prickly on the outside, and he acts in a way that makes sense for how he was raised. He beat up Tim because that's how you handle having a rival in the League. He's generally outwardly rude and unimpressed with people at first, and people are at first outwardly rude and annoyed by him. He also has a very slow, gradual arc about unlearning assassin-stuff. However, despite his prickly exterior he is very compassionate and cares a lot about people. Post Robin: Son of Batman, Damian will try to empathize with and get villain kids to change their ways, and he views the villains he did kill as not fundamentally different from himself.
one sentence summary for damian: baby raised as assassin sasses batman while saving people, sometimes complaining about it.

Thinking about this panel in Volume 5 of TriMax.
Tumblr media
This is such a crazy question for Knives to ask. Knives hasn't bothered to get to know humanity. All he has is this impression he decided on around a hundred years ago, and it seems like every human he's brought into his circle since then has either been forced to match that impression, or was chosen because they already matched that impression, or some combination of the two.
Meanwhile, Vash has spent the vast majority of his time since the Fall interacting with all sorts of people. And yes, some of those interactions have been terrible. In fact, I'd say some of them are terrible enough that if Vash were to give Knives a negative answer, there's a chance he'd be lying. Not a 100% chance, since Vash seems to put an immense amount of effort into seeing people as individuals rather than lumping them all together as having a singular motive or outlook on life, but definitely a chance.
But for Vash to give Knives an affirmative answer would also most definitely be a lie. Not because he has or hasn't had such feelings, but because a simple "yes" fails to encompass the whole of his experience with humanity. He knows people are nuanced, complicated, hurt, and desperate, and he knows that if he answers yes, Knives will overlook every struggle of every individual that, while not necessarily justifying their actions, provides some some explanation for it. Struggles that may have driven them to do things they later regret. Struggles they might not even have if Knives hadn't crashed them onto this wasteland of a planet.
Knives would just use Vash's "yes" as further indication that humanity must be wiped out, that it's an us-versus-them dichotomy that only has one rather simple solution.
But Vash isn't the type to just focus on the lows and forget the highs, or to forget the nuance that makes people fall into grey areas far more than they fall into black and white. He's been hurt (sometimes terribly) because of this, but he's also seen how his efforts have not been entirely in vain. So long as that holds true, I don't think he could muster up enough hate to genuinely want to wipe out all of humanity. Perhaps he could for a moment (however long a moment may last), but if he actually took action toward it, he'd just end up with more regret.
Heck, only a few chapters back, he expressed that very sentiment to Hoppered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So instead of giving Knives an answer that will just be misconstrued, Vash dodges the question. Despite Knives' earlier statement, Knives is clearly not in a listening mood, so what else could Vash possibly do?
It seems Knives has very much embraced the mindset of, "Well, if you've sinned once, you might as well just embrace your damnation." It might seem like a bit of an illogical mindset for someone who constantly calls humans "sinners," but Knives sits there for several pages telling Vash that if Vash has ever even once wished destruction on mankind, then he has everything to gain by embracing those feelings and releasing them in a way that takes humanity down for good.
Which completely ignores the Blank Ticket mindset Rem passed down to Vash. Knives denies the possibility of a different path both for himself and for everyone else. The fact that even after a hundred years, his brother still clings to such an idea is beyond upsetting to Knives, to the point that he stops using words to try and convince Vash and instead just resorts to force.
Tumblr media
At this point in the story, it's a bit difficult to see how the resurgence of Vash's memories of July will affect him, but I'd honestly be surprised if they'd make him lose his faith in humanity. After all, he seems to be using them right now to help Hoppered understand, and as dedicated as Vash may be to saving Meryl and hunting down Knives right now, somehow I doubt he's sharing these memories with Hoppered simply to buy himself some time.
It might still be a bit before Vash remembers that he, too, has a blank ticket to the future, but even through all the scars and hurt and betrayal he's experienced, he hasn't forgotten that that ticket is something humans still have, even if Knives is determined not to see it.

How Ramattra will react to a very flirty fellow omnic that fights for his cause
Tumblr media
♡At first, Ramattra thinks nothing of this omnic's flirting. Perhaps it was simply old programming that stuck with him. Either way, this omnic was a useful assassin, something hard to find these days, so Ramattra kept a closer eye on him than he did any other the other omnics. Half the time he doesn't even understand the meaning of the omnic's flirting.
♡"Hey, hot stuff."
"My temperature is at 67 degrees Fahrenheit, I am hardly hot."
"Well, according to my sensors, you're hot enough to make me melt."
"Clearly, your sensors are malfunctioning," Ramattra sets his tools down on his desk beside some amalgamation of metal and a blueprint, "Go sit on that table in the corner. I'll have to examine you to ensure you aren't damaged."
"That's unnecessary, though, I must say, you're care for me is adorable~." Ramattra makes quick work of the examination. You were correct, absolutely nothing wrong.
He dismisses you, "If you care about how much I value your life and use to me, I'd advise you stop flirting before I turn you into a mindless drone," he returns to his desk.
♡You took his advice, the flirting came to a quick end. You also found yourself going on longer missions that only seemed to get farther and farther from Ramattra.
♡A few weeks to a few months pass. Ramattra hates it. He hates your stupid compliments, you're useless flirting. So why the Hell does he find himself missing your presence, and your voice. He refused to let himself befall to the weakness of emotions. So his solution was to keep you far away from him, so he could forget you and suppress these emotions.
♡Screams fill the town square beneath you as your lower your gun. People run away from the dead body below, a few try to look up at where you're hidden at the top of the building, but they can't see you. The mission appeared easy. A simple in and out in time for lunch. Well, that was until your only escape got blown to rubble. To your luck, you escape your attackers, only to find yourself wounded and trapped beneath rubble.
♡Stupid. Stupid was how Ramattra felt and scared. He'd been so blindsided in trying to get you out of his head that he didn't calculate the dangers of putting you in that mission. His soldiers are rading the city as a distraction while he digs through the rubble, praying that he finds you, praying that you're still alive. He almost frantic knowing Overwatch will get here soon, and when they do, he won't be able to search for you. Seeing you so broken, your lights flickering, and barely alive beneath all that rubble was almost enough to make Ramattra cry. He vowed he would never allow you to be so far from him ever again.
♡Ramattra dedicated the next month to rebuilding your body, fixing your every injury, and catering to your needs. It took time for you to adjust to your new body, and even longer to accept it as your new body. Ramattra practically hovers around you as of you could fall apart any second.
♡ "Are you a star?"
"What?"
"Are you a star...because I could stare at you all night..."
"Ramattra, what are... I don't understand sir"
"You haven't flirted or even attempted banter once. Sure, you stopped after I asked you, but even then, sometimes it slipped out, but now... you're silent, you hardly talked"
"I thought you liked that, me being nothing more than a soldier for your cause, that-"
"I miss your stupid flirting, your stupid banter and playfulness. I like your voice, your presence. I'm sorry for being an idiot before," he takes your hands in his, bringing his face to yours, "please. I need you by my side. Can you forgive me, will you stay by my side?"

for the headcanons: takaba and uro
Thank you for the ask and interesting character suggestion!
Takaba
Sexuality Headcanon:
I think if he really likes someone, he doesn't care about gender (like he would like Kenjaku no matter what gender or sex they currently have), but he generally prefers men. In his everyday life he essentially lives and is treated like a gay men, so that's what he mostly identifies as. Like how despite what his partners say he shows no interest or plans to ever marry and have children, it seems to be entirely out of the question for him. You could say that he wants to dedicate himself to comedy fully, but most successful comedians are married, so that's not really an argument. And while having unstable income while you are still relatively unknown is a factor, the reason he is so driven to make it isn't so he can support the typical heterosexual family. Same with his classmate in university, who teases him for being unpopular with girls, which Takaba doesn't care about at all. So he definitely seems used to being seen as some flavour of queer.
I also have this headcanon that Centerman not only made him laugh for the first time, but was also his gay awakening. I mean if you look at the constume and some of the sketches...young Takaba saw Centerman spread his ass cheeks on TV and suddenly felt very funny.
Gender Headcanon:
I think he's mostly cis, but likes to dabble in gender non-conformity by wearing some make-up or dresses both for sketches and privately. I mean, he clearly likes dressing up and had no problem playing around with gender with Kenjaku. I don't think it would've bothered him much if Kenjaku had temporarily given him some boobs. He'd just play along and have fun.
A ship I have with said character:
Pinchan or TakaKen (very surprising answer I know). I didn't expect it at all when the fight started, but those two have become so perfect together in such a short period of time, it's insane. One of the few Kenjaku ships, where I can say that they are actually making each other better. Kenjaku had an immensily good impact on Takaba's mental health. Helped him out of a crisis, encouraged his comedy style and made him reconnect with aspects of himself he tried to suppress. I'm curious how this will develop when Takaba wakes up again and finds out his new partner is dead.
A BROTP I have with said character:
Hazenoki. We've only seen a little bit of them, but I love their interactions. Somehow Takaba is very good at buddying up with mass murderers. Hazenoki is throwing his body parts around and tries to kill Takaba and he's like "friends? 🥺"
A NOTP I have with said character:
Megumi. It's one of those ships where I genuinely don't even want to look at it. I just can't stand it at all. Thankfully the main shipper of it here on tumblr has me blocked and it's not that popular on twt either, so I rarely have to see it.
A random headcanon:
Takaba has connections to the drag scene and sometimes performs with them. That's how he gets some of his costumes, make-up and dresses. They also showed him how to took (like the original Centerman), but most of the time he doesn't bother to. Understandable because doing that for most of the Culling Game would be very painful and unhealthy.
General Opinion over said character:
I used to think he was a bit annoying and I didn't see much point in him (although his first introduction was very intriguing), but he's really grown on me and unexpectantly become one of my faves.
Takako
Sexuality Headcanon:
Hmm, hard to really pin down. I think she also hasn't had much time to really explore her sexuality like many aspects of her identity, but I'd say she prefers girls. The men she's been surrounded with don't make anything else very tempting. I think she could use a break from them for a while.
Gender Headcanon:
Woman, but unlike with your regular cis person this has actually been a choice for her to some degree and something she discovered about herself. Of course she has always faced sexism, but due to being robbed of her identity when serving the Fujiwara, she had to redefine or discover womanhood for herself. She does it for example by highlighting her body and not hiding it anymore. Being naked and confident in the body she has is freedom for her and shows her individuality. Her CT can be used to hide herself, which I think she did a lot while working for the Fujiwara, the entire idea was for her to essentially not exist, but she has turned it into something liberating for her.
A ship I have with said character:
Yorozu. They lived at the same time in the same location, but with wildly different experiences. I've talked before a bunch about how I think Yorozu with her nakedness and brash attitude might've been an inspiration for Takako. She was in a similar position to Yorozu, but Yorozu was able to spin it to her advantage and actually gain power and status from it, while Takako was only exploited. I hope that whenever we get another Heian flashback that we will see these two again.
btw, I got this wonderful Uro x Yorozu comic when participating in an exchange event. It's fantastic, you should check it out! Made me love the two all the more.
A BROTP I have with said character:
Kenjaku I guess? Unfortunately, there aren't that many characters she's close to. I think it's interesting that she doesn't see them as solely manipulative and has a kind of positive attitude towards them. I could see them talking politics together and also Kenjaku riling her up to accept a second life shortly before she will be executed.
A NOTP I have with said character:
Yuuta...I don't think I need to say much about that. I already hated their interactions in Sendai. The fact this is even a thing and mostly seems to consist of Yuuta objectifying her or "putting her in her place" already makes me want to bleach my brain...
A random headcanon:
I think she used to wear something similar to shinobi wear while working for the Fujiwara. She can conceal herself with her CT, but she would also cover up her body from top to bottom except for maybe the eyes, so there would be nothing anyone could identify her by.
General Opinion over said character:
Always loved her. I hope she survives the Culling Game and is able to start a new life. Out of all the reincarnated sorcerers she deserves it the most. I mean, she doesn't kill people if she doesn't have to, so there's no danger coming from her. Wishful thinking, but maybe she'll make it out by staying low...

ONE SHOT 01. vil x idia title: konami romance contains: fluff, playing video games summary: idia's playing his favorite mmorpg. vil decides he wants to try too. note: very clearly came up with a little... parody? of ffxiv here. but, please know i know nothing about that game so i took creative liberties! i hope you like it! this will be uploaded to ao3 as well.
Despite his ever busy schedule, Vil always made sure to dedicate at least one day nearly entirely to Idia every week. A sort of arrangement that Vil was quite surprised to hear Idia have some reservations about. The "loner otaku" didn't want to be so alone after all. Having someone else to care for, for what must've felt like the first time in so long, Idia had found himself really wanting to just... be around Vil.
It was incredibly sweet, Vil had to admit. And he did feel bad about having to squeeze time between the school week to see him, resulting in maybe two? Three hours a few days a week? It's something they're still both working on.
So, it's quite a surprise when Vil finds himself just... sitting on Idia's bed. Alone. He's flipping idly through a magazine filled with anime and manga news, all in a language he can't understand, keeping himself mildly busy as Idia begged to just play a little bit of Last Fantasies XIV. He had gone on about some sort of event going on... "raids" was a word used a few times, "limited edition armor"...?
He wasn't really sure. But what he was sure of was that he was unequivocally bored. Vil contemplated demanding Idia turn the game off, but... he knew he couldn't do it. Looking at his flame haired boyfriend, there was just so much sadness in his life... in the way he moved... Vil found it increasingly difficult to snuff out his happiness.
Fine. He's gone soft, but only for Idia. Something he does his best to hide when he's around others. But, in the privacy of Idia's room, Vil doesn't feel the need to put up a front.
At the end of the day, he just wanted to keep that genuine smile going for as long as he could. That's what he gets, he supposed, for playing the hero.
Eh, this wasn't a bad "consequence". If it even was one.
Closing the magazine, he turns until he's resting on his knees in the other's direction. "Idia." Vil called out, but his dear boyfriend had his headphones on. With a sigh, he calls out again. "Idia!"
"H-Huh?!" Idia pulls one side of his headphone away from his ear, eyes wide as he looks over at Vil.
"You know, it's incredibly rude to have your boyfriend over and then proceed to ignore him!" Vil starts. And this seems to make Idia cower just a bit in his seat, an apologetic look on his face.
"Ah, S-Sorry..." He pulls his headphones down to hang around his neck. "It's just this event is loaded with quality loot! I mean, my character is already pretty OP but it never hurts to add more stats, hehehe."
Idia sits up straighter, excitement leaking through his voice. "Usually, I hate playing with newbies, but this time I'm joining every open party I find! And if they're too slow to find the chests in time, that's on them! I'm teaching them a valuable lesson about the MMORPG world!"
All of that flew right over Vil's head, but he finds himself smiling somewhat anyways. He could tell that Idia wasn't being the nicest player around, but he wasn't going to chastise him for that. It was just a game, after all. And, anyways, shouldn't one do everything they can to better themselves?
Vil looks at the holographic screen, seeing Idia's character obediently standing there. He can also see people whizzing by to and fro, chat bubbles on the edge of the screen and the clearing they all seemed to be in.
"I'd like to try." Vil says, looking back at Idia. But he was surprised with what he was met with. "What's with that face?!"
"That face" was Idia staring at Vil, controller gripped tightly as Idia's eyes widen. His mouth was agape... Vil wasn't sure if he was breathing...?
"You..." Idia sounded almost breathless. "...You want to try out the game with me?"
"Yes...?"
There's more silence between them as Idia clearly takes time to process this. "...Seriously?"
Vil doesn't even have the ability to feel annoyed, Idia's reaction was quite humorous. A bit of a laugh leaves him as he moves to stand up, making his way to Idia. "Yes, Idia! Seriously!"
And that seemed to do the trick! Idia starts shuffling in his seat, finally fixing his god awful hunched posture as he reached a hand to his headphones to turn off the Bluetooth function. And just like that, Vil can hear the audio of the game fill up the room. He continues to watch as Idia finally seems to settle. Surprisingly, blue tips turn a soft pink as Idia clearly seems to be mulling something over.
Timidly, and after a swallow, a hand motions to the spot between his legs. "You um... you can sit here. The chair's pretty roomy so..." The sentence trails off.
Vil smiles, bending over to give Idia a quick kiss on the cheek. This makes the pink tips that much more brighter. Good, that's what he wanted.
Carefully, Vil takes the spot Idia offered and settles back into his boyfriend. He wasn't the type to admit it, but, he likes being held. And Idia seemed to like doing the holding. Vil takes a moment to admire the way the blues and pinks of Idia's hair seem to engulf him as well. It was gorgeous, Vil never shied away from reminding Idia of that. Fingers reach for a strand, twirling it momentarily, before he felt Idia's nose brush up against the side of his face.
"Mm, I can get used to this." Vil speaks. He feels Idia nod. Idia brings the controller over and in front of Vil, motioning for Vil to take a hold of it. When he does, Idia places his hands over his.
"So, this is Last Fantasies XIV. TLDR: you wake up in Lindow, one of the three villages that take up the continent of Erostey. The last thing you remember is fighting a hooded figure. Currently, we still don't know who these hooded figures are. The developers update the game about every few months and with each update we get more and more of the story." Idia starts, before using his thumb to make Vil move the character over to a large sign post.
"For the time being, you need money and XP. So you join the Explorers Guild and start to do things like Quests, Raids and Tasks. Quests pertain to things that effect the story of the game, Raids are basically for grinding and Tasks help you gain coin. This sign post is basically how you trigger them."
Vil nods, eyebrows furrowing a bit. "Okay..." He says. "So... I'm assuming these hooded figures are the bad guys?"
"Yeah. At least, that's what the forums think." Idia uses his fingers to move Vil around again, taking him towards the village square. "They attack you and your party randomly during Raids. Noobs go down pretty quickly because of them. But I can handle a whole group of them all by myself." Idia's unique, conceited laugh bubbles out again.
Prior to getting with Idia, If you had told Vil that one day he would find someone bragging about their little virtual character in a game attractive, he wouldn't have believed you. But things are different now. He adored when Idia oozed confidence. And it helped that his snarky comments weren't directed at him half as much as they used to be.
"Oh! Uh, sorry, you... do you want to create your own character? We'll have to make you a new account—"
"Wait." Vil started, looking over his shoulder at Idia the best he could. "You made this character?"
"Um, yes...? You usually do for MMORPGs." A small breath of a laugh. "How could I expect a normie like you to know that..."
Vil lets that one slide. For now, at least. Idia knew for every "normie" he threw at Vil, Vil adds another "face mask night" in the proverbial jar.
"Can I see them more up close?"
He suddenly feels Idia tense up behind him. "Uh..." Another nervous noise. Which... actually isn't something that's too out of the ordinary for Idia. But, the context of the situation did raise a bit of questions in Vil. "Don't you want to just get in to playing? My character is pretty strong, so it should be easy for you."
"Okay? But, I want to get a look first." Vil turns his head back towards the screen, stepping the character more into the open. "I haven't played many video games, but creating a character has always been my favorite part. I want to see what you did."
Now, if he remembered correctly, he believed... yes the right analog stick moves the camera around! And now to zoom in all he needed to do was tip it forward and... oh!
What stood in front of him was a beautiful elven-like man. Blonde shoulder length hair framed a sharp face, features carefully placed and entirely modelesque. Piercing violet eyes looked back at him, the color much more vibrant against the soft purple eye shadow and sharp liner. Lips were delicately painted with a dark lipstick, his neutral face alone could strike down anyone.
Vil blinked as he realized he was looking at... himself?!
His lips were already starting to quirk up. "Idia... is this supposed to be..."
He didn't even have to finish his sentence as pink suddenly engulfed him. Idia's hands retract to cover his face, a groan escaping him. "Y-You weren't supposed to see that...!"
The smile finally graces Vil's face before a light laugh escapes. "Are you embarrassed? There's hardly any reason to be." He turns, sitting sideways on his lap to get a look at him. "This is very flattering. And... Seven, really really endearing."
Slender fingers separate as topaz colored eyes are seen between them. "Y-You're just saying that! It's... it's totally creepy!"
"Oh, come now! What did I say about putting words in my mouth?" He leans over, kissing the back of Idia's hand. He's met with Idia's surprised gaze. "I meant what I said. I am sincerely flattered."
Idia slowly lowers his hands, the pout still on his face as his cheeks and hair remained a soft pink. Like this, Vil takes the opportunity to lean over to give him a proper kiss. Quick but sweet.
"How did you do it?" Vil asks.
This somehow seems to fluster Idia all over again, who reaches over to pull his hood over his head. Thankfully, not enough to hide his face completely.
"...U-Using the... the selfies you sent me." He says, voice shaky and small. "It took me about an hour. I um, have a folder of your selfies on the cloud, so I was basically looking through them all..."
Vil's eyes light up. "You have a folder of my selfies?" That's... ugh, can Idia get any more... cute?! He made him feel like a silly little middle school boy, warm fluttery insides and happy heart skips.
He's already reaching over for Idia's secondary holographic screen, having gotten comfortable with understanding how to maneuver it. Of course, only at a basic level. The right level to know how to look through files.
"V-Vil!? Hey! W-What are you doing?" Idia's already attempting to take control of the screen himself.
"I'm looking for this folder, of course! Now, do you have it saved under my name? Or have you decided to use a pet name for it instead?" Vil asks, letting out a small laugh when Idia finally manages to swat the screen away from Vil.
"T-That isn't—Didn't you want to try my game?!" Idia's tone is nearly desperate, but Vil can see a smile pulling at the corner of his lips. "Let's focus on that!"
Well... Vil supposed he had to accept defeat, didn't he? For now, at least. "Okay, fine, fine." He shuffles until they're back to their previous position. This time, Vil takes one of Idia's hands and attempts to guide it over so Idia could be holding him. Thankfully, Idia got the message loud and clear, as he wraps both arms around Vil's middle.
He drops his forehead onto Vil's shoulder, letting out a slow breath. Vil could see his hair steadily going back to normal.
"You're going to be the death of me one day...!" Idia says.
"But what a lovely way to go, isn't it?"
He could hear the smile in Idia's tone as he says, "if the Seven decide to be in my favor for once."
Vil hums before holding the control better in his hand, thumb on the right analog stick as he attempts to put the camera where it was before. "Okay. What do I do now?"

Haaaayyy, Elysian!! (can I call you that, by the way? I'mma just stick with that for now, but if u have something you prefer to go by, just let me know)
I stumbled across your page quite some time ago, and never got around to actually sending you an ask until now!! Let me just say something. Your posts--FAB!! Your astrology blog is one of the most spectacular things i've ever come across, and I'm not even lyingg
As for my ask, though: I know your posts take dedication and time, but if you've ever got a spare minute, would you mind doing a quick explanation of Mars in the 3H?? I've never seen it explained in a thorough way besides the "aggressive communicator" stereotype, and you're just amazing at explaining things. I'd be forever grateful!!
Hello love, yes, you can call me like that. Thank you so much for your words, I genuinely appreciate them. And of course I can do it.
Mars in the 3rd house
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we find natives with a quick intellect and mind, someone who understands things easily and who tends to prefer to learn independently. These natives are people who get bored easily and find it difficult to concentrate on only one thing at the same time, their mind seems to be simultaneously exploring many different topics. They love and are passionate about learning new things, it is not surprising that they take you off guard with new random data that you were unaware of. They are very frank and direct people in their way of speaking, they like to be clear with what they want to say. They can speak very fast and it can be normal for them to naturally have a strong tone of voice [this can vary depending on the sign the 3rd house/Mars is in or if Mars is retrograde]. They may be people who dislike sitting still, seem to have a lot of energy, and look for ways to spend it [either physically or mentally]. We have the passionate communicator, the one who transmits fire when talking about what he likes, a person extremely passionate about his hobbies and interests, someone who when he likes a topic it shows in his face, a person with transparent opinions, who gives his point of view clearly, without pretending, simply being authentic.
This Mars placement tells us about a person who could have had many arguments with a brother or even in their school environment. In fact, the relationship with some or all of their siblings could have been somewhat conflictive, they could have had very marked differences or temperaments that collided with each other. Very probably they could have problems with their siblings or at school due to their temperament or the aggressive or hurtful attitudes of peers. Despite the fact that this placement from Mars has a reputation for being very angry or aggressive in their speech, they are people who rationalize a lot before acting, they are not as impulsive as others would describe them and rather they are a little more reflective when they feel that they are they are getting angry with quick reflexes, these natives are hardly taken unnoticed. These people can think a lot about the future, they think about many possibilities in the short and long term. Something that in my opinion is very faithful to what is said about them is how good they can be for debates, because they are not afraid to defend their point of view and support it with everything they have. It is not aggressiveness, it is confidence, when they speak they appear to be very confident in what they are saying.
They could have a very active early life or just be very active when they were young. They may have many short trips throughout their lives, they may feel a natural desire for the idea of knowing places that call their attention. They like to leave home and be in contact with the outside world. They never stay with the knowledge they have, they seek to know more and more. They know how to quickly adapt to their environment, no matter who they are with or where they are, they adapt. This also applies in a certain way in sex, being people who do not have a fixed preference for any role, neither dominant nor submissive, rather switcher. They love when a person is a mental challenge or at least when a person is intelligent and original and authentic enough to have their own opinions. They could feel sexually attracted to someone's voice, sense of humor and some could be attracted to pretty hands. Sex with them is something funny, experimental and very interesting, it's never the same, they like to surprise their partners and like to be surprised too. May be verbal in sex too.

Day 3
I found a lute. Not a great one, but it plays in tune. Good enough for me. I already miss my guitar. I found a letter between lovers (on a corpse, quite tragically) that mentioned traveling to Baldur's Gate. It must be nearby. City of my cruel upbringing, my sorrows, my ire, and my ghosts. I'd rather go back to the Hells.
I also found the apparently renowned “Gale of Waterdeep”. Yes, he introduced himself to me with a title rather than his simple name. Already encountering some serious characters, or rather characters taking themselves very seriously. He's very intelligent and charming, but likely prone to arrogance which other people would (naturally) find off-putting. Despite the fact that I discovered him, as a supposedly adept wizard, stuck inside his own portal, he still had the audacity to call his rescuer 'unlettered'. Why bother to use manners if you're just going to insult people anyway? Annoyingly, I think he's quite handsome. Of course I'd never tell him so. His ego clearly needs deflating, not inflating. He could be projecting all that bravado to mask deep insecurity though. I can't tell yet. He wasn't the least bit judgy about me picking through crates, barrels, and corpses for useful items. And out of everyone I've met thus far he seems to be the most trustworthy. We'll see.
We encountered the githyanki woman snared in a trap by a pair of tieflings. I had to convince them that she was intelligent and not some thing to be trapped and killed as you would a wild animal. They were easily swayed and I freed her. Her name is Lae'zel. She mentioned a githyanki creche would hold a cure for our infection. She's grumpy, callous, and impatient, but she's extremely dependable in a fight. She seems too literal in her speech and truly believes in what she promises, which tells me she is not being deceptive. However, convictions do not always hold actual truths. Gale seemed intrigued by her, though I suppose anyone would be in this realm. I know I am.
A pale elf named Astarion lured me into a trap and held a knife to my throat. I've heard it's a great way to make friends, but I've never tried it myself. He's gorgeous, but assuredly deadly. Eyes of a predator. What I saw when our minds collided confirmed what I suspected. He was hunting something or someone. He was predictably coy when I asked him about himself. Claimed to be a magistrate. Yeah, and I'm a fucking queen back home. He's hiding a hell of a lot. Another alliance which I shall be extraordinarily wary of. I suspect my other allies will be on their guard around him as well, at least they should be.
We happened upon an old crypt. According to Gale it used to be dedicated to Jergal, Scribe of the Dead. I found a button, which is to say I immediately pushed a button I found. Turned out to be a trap. We were ambushed by skeletons, which we promptly dispatched. They were guarding a tomb with a peaceful mummified undead inside. He seemed to have premonitions about my fate, and said he could revive me or any of my 'companions' should one of us perish. He refused to elaborate on anything. Okay, weird skelly boy.
We camped at the crypt and there was an ornamental piano, filthy but miraculously still in tune. I annoyed Lae'zel, who called my music 'hellish screeching and clanging'. Clearly uncultured. Astarion and Gale spent the evening separately brooding. I didn't feel like singing, but it was nice to play for a while. I played through bits and pieces of what I've been putting together for Act V, and it sounds just fine to me. I hope I'll get to finish it.
Get this, all of my newfound allies have their fucking stuff. Bags of holding with tents and all the creature comforts you'd want for camping. I'm the only one without. Fuck my life.
I haven't seen Shadowheart yet. I wonder if she made it. No sign of the creature called Us either.

Spoilers for My Friendly Neighborhood? And Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Maybe? IDK I'm just putting my thoughts down.
I watched Super Horror Bro's let's play of MFN and I really liked it! Gordon is great, Ricky is great, everyone is great... but a lot of people seem to be over looking the whole "living puppets" thing? (or maybe I just haven't been looking hard enough.) And that got me thinking... what if the world logic of MFN is like that of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Like, the two have some similarities already (tough, down on his luck guy with a gun deals with the shenanigans of TV mascots while dark things happen around him), but let's put it like this:
In the world of Roger Rabbit, cartoon characters (toons) are alive. This isn't really explained in the movie, as far as I remember, but it's just a fact. The toons are real, they have jobs, they have a place to live, but they're also sort of considered "second class citizens" in a way; they don't really get a lot of variety in what jobs they can thrive in (they work in entertainment, usually), and they don't always get treated very well (Eddie Valiant, the protagonist, often responds to cartoon shenanigans by saying "toons" in a clearly derogatory way; and cartoon tools like singing swords and sentient shoes [which I think are safe to assume they're alive and sentient? less so than other toons, but you get it] are kept in boxes, seemingly for long periods of time). Toons also have their "Toon Town", their own separate place to live that, for much of the movie, is in danger due to the owner of Toon Town (a human) dying and potentially letting Toon Town get destroyed for the sake of a highway, and thus destroying the only known place where toons can safely live.
So, to summarize: 1. Toons are alive, an accepted fact by society. 2. Toons are citizens, and are expected to work to earn their keep. 3. Toons are citizens, and there is slight prejudice against them ("slight" may be putting it lightly).
Now, let's look at MFN:
Gordon J. O'Brien is a human, who is tasked with shutting off the antenna of the studio that used to produce and televise the children's show My Friendly Neighborhood. We see in a cutscene prior to gameplay that most television shows are hosted/acted by human players, except for MFN, which is primarily led by puppet actors. Nothing wrong there; it's a children's show, and as a lot of children shows go, puppets and other cartoonish set pieces are used to entertain. Most adult shows are filled with live people, and at the hour that the TV is shown, adult programming is more likely to be on than children's programming.
But consider what happens when Gordon enters the studio lot, namely when he first meets Ricky the sock puppet. Gordon is surprised by Ricky's appearance, but he doesn't really address it. In fact, he treats Ricky like he might be the owner/face of the establishment. We could argue that Gordon is just rolling with it: it's his last job of the day, he's on probation for a bad attitude and could get fired for failing to do his job or keeping up that bad attitude, so he's just playing along with whoever the crazy human behind the sock puppet is. All well and good, except when things start getting darker.
Gordon sees a puppet (Norman) bashing its head against the wall, seemingly of its own free will, and he offers little more than a "what the...?" Even when the puppets begin attacking him, he just carries on. Maybe he's just super dedicated to finishing his job and leaving so he can go home. But there comes a point, I'd like to think, when dealing with potentially deadly possessed puppets where a normal person thinks, "is this minimum wage job really worth my life?" and usually, the answer is probably "no, consequences be damned, I'm leaving while I'm alive."
So that begs the question: what sort of person carries on with his job when it's possible there are murder puppets after his life? Most people have said that Gordon is just "so done" with everything in his life that he doesn't particularly care, which makes sense; he seems to be a war veteran with little to enjoy in his life. But there's "being done", and there's "a strange but relatively normal day". So: what if puppets being sentient is just... a thing? A rule that the world doesn't necessarily question? Puppets trying to hug people to death is definitely unusual, but that's the only strange thing.
That leads to another supporting question: who owns the studio where MFN used to be broadcast? The buildings, for the most part, are all well maintained with working electricity and general power. It's a little under kept, but the maintenance is there. And yet, there are no people around. At all. All of the offices are empty, all of the sewer areas are empty, it's just puppets all the way down. But why? The show isn't being made any more, so why are all these buildings empty? Shouldn't they be filled with new businesses, new people, new lives? Or at the very least, if no one owns them/uses them, then shouldn't they be knocked down and the land used for some other company? A newspaper mentions a company that bought up a lot of land and buildings for their own consumerist purposes, often kicking tenants out of their homes to do so, so clearly it's not unheard of to knock down/take over buildings that have no obvious purpose.
But the puppets still live there. The puppets do their own thing, wallowing in their accidental trauma, but otherwise not going out and attacking people. They stick to their buildings, and don't bother anyone. So is the MFN studio the "Toon Town" for these puppets? Do they technically "own" the lot? I recall a different note mentioning that the tools and materials of MFN were the "property" of a different company after MFN was taken off air, but the puppets are still in the building, wandering around. Why, unless they have some right to the land?
It could also offer an explanation of why Gordon is tasked with turning off the antenna instead of any other company: the puppets refuse to turn off the antenna and stop broadcasting their show over the network, so they have to send someone in to do it themselves. Not just anyone, though: a down on his luck old war vet with a bad attitude who doesn't seem to have any real importance to the city. If he does get killed, fine, send someone else to do it. If he succeeds, great! In fact, everyone seems so happy to see him successfully disable the antenna that he gets promoted to manager in the "bad ending", despite being on probation. Why is he rewarded so much for doing his job, unless it was really important that the show was shut off? Maybe it's a weird political statement? Or a symbol of human dominance over the "puppet class"? Whatever the case, it's definitely weird that Gordon is so well rewarded for shutting down the show.
Alternatively, in the "normal" and "true" endings, Gordon decides to help get the show back on the air, legally. In the normal ending, he specifically makes a note of how he has to keep his head down, not telling anyone what he's doing and eventually not coming back to the studio because he thinks he's done his part and can move on. In the true ending, he's found out and fired, despite disconnecting the antenna as his job required him. Why would he be fired for doing his job? Unless the wire disconnect was meant to have some bigger meaning? Are the puppets considered "second class", or "other"? Is their show getting back on air and gaining a following some sort of problem for the company Gordon works for? Some people like the show, and some people hate it, but it does gain a following.
A recurring theme in this game is "darkness/meanness vs light/goodness", with modern "adult" television being dark and mean and more "appropriate" in the post war world, and the old "children" television being a bright reminder to be good and friendly, which doesn't correlate with the world that the post war city has become. Maybe the puppets are a living reminder of the "good" in the world that adults are shielding themselves from? I don't know, I'm kind of rambling at this point.
Speaking of the war- isn't it weird how they just refer to it as "the war"? Based on the context and the dates, it's fairly agreed by the community that the war represents the Vietnam War, a controversial event that televised the dark realities of war to everyone with a television, which was mostly everyone. If it's supposed to be the Vietnam War, why not just call it that? Unless it's not the Vietnam War, not technically, in this universe? Since the puppets are living beings (even if they aren't exposed to television and the horrors of war until after the show stops), maybe there are other historical differences in this universe, too? Different lands, boundaries, people, etc?
And when the puppets- no longer supervised due to a world going dark from the atrocities of war- watch television to find what they're missing that other TV shows have, they get traumatized by what they see, and inadvertently incorporate it into what they know. They're impressionable, like children- or a sheltered class of people. They all get a little intense- insane ramblings and hugging people to death- but some of them go so far as to physically change themselves (remove their eyes, give themselves human teeth, turn into monsters) as a screwed attempt to gain the love and attention that the "darkness" offers. Unless someone takes some time to talk to the puppets, to let them know that there can still be good and light in the world, then the puppets will all remain on that lot, by themselves, without an outlet, and will possibly be destroyed when the now pointless studio lot is without purpose. That's what Gordon's for: someone who has also been troubled by the darkness of the world, but can take the time and empathy to be a little bit friendly.
Sorry for the long post; it's possible there's more stuff I forgot to talk about, or some information I got wrong, but feel free to add your thoughts to this! I need to go to bed, I have work in the morning.

Erik teaching Charles about Judaism!
one, this ended up a bit short so i thought i'd just post it here two, i did some research and hope i got everything right. i will accept constructive criticism if delivered nicely.
Hope you enjoy!
“So…what? I thought Hanukah was like the Jewish equivalent of Christmas,”  Charles states, looking up at Erik with wide eyes. “I thought it was something that was really important to you.”
Erik holds up a finger, stopping Charles, there’s a smirk on his face though. “Okay, those are two different things. First of all, no. We don’t celebrate the birthday of Jesus. I mean you don’t celebrate the birthday of Jeff who lived fifty years ago, though I’m sure he might have done something important in his lifetime. We don’t really have an equivalent. That being said, the holiday is important to me. I have a lot of happy memories attached to it. Time spent with my parents and sister. And I happen to like what the celebration is based on.”
“What’s that?” Charles asks.
Erik smiles softly. He hadn’t expected a discussion about decorating the mansion for Christmas and Hanukah to lead to a teaching moment for the professor, nevertheless, he’s not going to complain. He rather likes talking about his beliefs and culture. Plus, anytime he knows more about something than Charles, he’s going to take it.
“It’s celebrating liberation, freedom, and finding light, happiness,” He replies, “Something that maybe I struggle with, but I think it’s important.”
Charles looks at him for a moment, eyes narrowing before he asks, “Sort of like at thanksgiving when we all say what we’re thankful for?”
“…Liebling, I love you, but that’s a lot to unpack and I think I’m going to need some time to think about where to start on that one.” Best not to make comparisons there. He could come up with some that would have Charles regretting mentioning that holiday at all.
Though the food is good, he’ll give them that.
For a moment, Charles is silent, but Erik doesn’t dare return to the book he’s holding in his hands. He knows as soon as he does, there will be more questions. Maybe he should have broke out the chess set if they’re going to do this.
Before he gets the chance to move though, more questions are flying at him.
“So what holidays do you give gifts on? And what are the big holidays?” Leave it to Charles to be asking about gifts.
“The biggest holiday? Or the most important? The most important I think is Yom Kippur. A day of atonement. It’s a day dedicated to self-examination and gives up the ability to start the new year off without the past weighing us down.”
“It’s on New Year’s then? New Year’s Eve?” He asks.
“Normally late September,” Erik replies and laughs at the look on Charles’s face. “Hebrew calendar is different. That’s the first according to it.”
“And you just confess your sins?” Charles continues to ask.
“I’m beginning to think I should just buy you a book. It would do better explaining all of this in order and make it make sense,” He replies, sighing and trying to decide how to answer this question. He feels like he’s already left a trail of unanswered questions. Maybe this could be another one.
“It’s not like…Catholics, is it? We have ten days of repentance, this is the last day of it. We make amends with what we’ve done. We ask forgiveness and then out fate is decided. We don’t wait until we’re dead to be judged or whatever it is. It happens during life and we have time to make things right. The holiday has five rules.”
“Holidays with rules?” Charles asks, as though it’s a ridiculous thing and Erik can only roll his eyes.
“As though other holidays don’t have rules. Imagine Christmas with no presents or that obnoxious music or decorations. Your thanksgivings without the turkey. Only ours are proper rules instead of guidelines.”
The look on Charles’s face says he clearly doesn’t believe Erik, but he seems to accept that he has to ask as he sighs and shrugs, “Let’s hear it then. What are they.”
“Prohibitions. No eating or drinking, bathing, wearing leather shoes, anointing with oil or sex,” Erik states.
“So I suppose that means no sex in a tub filled with oil while wearing leather shoes? Erik, most of those things are things you don’t tend to do anyway,” He states.
“I didn’t say some of them weren’t dated rules. Just that there are rules. Are you thinking of converting or something?” Erik asks, making his way over to Charles, sitting next to him and sliding an arm around his shoulders.
Charles leans in, against Erik, shaking his head. “No, darling, I really am a man of science and evolution,” He assures him with a smile. “I just thought I don’t know much about your beliefs and Jewish holidays. It could be nice to learn more about them and celebrate with you. Besides, there are other Jewish children at the school as well. It’s not fair to celebrate the holidays of some and not others.”
The thought of Charles caring about something like that is enough to bring a smile to Erik’s face and he nods, kissing the top of the smaller man’s head. “Give me some time to think everything through and I can give you a rundown of it. We can start celebrating them next year and make sure to include everything.”
Charles smiles, Erik is sure he catches onto his happiness at the idea, but can’t be bothered to try hiding it. There are a lot of traditions he’s lost, holidays he hasn’t celebrated in years, and customs that he’ll need a bit to remember properly, but he’s glad for the chance to do this again. And, maybe, some of the kids can help him remember everything.

Nanami Anon: I believe I promised I'd dump my Kokichi Characterization Thoughts into your inbox at some point? Well, anyways, buckle up. The thing I'm trying to write is going slowly rn because I'm in a big clump of some of those connector/establishing scenes that are only satisfying once they've paid off so I may as well do this and be about as productive as I was gonna be anyways.
Ok. So. Kokichi and Kiibo wake up the same room, we think. They're certainly in the same one when Kaede and Shuichi find them, and it's very similar to the one that pair woke up in. Neat, this dude's a robot! Still, it's kinda freaky to wake up somewhere you've never been before. Who's responsible for that? We dunno, nobody seems to know, best be on guard. Don't look vulnerable. Nobody else's skill in combat has been established, so Kokichi can't be sure he can defend himself. Oh, everyone's being told that they have to get away with murder if they want to go free? Double down.
Rantaro dies. The game truly begins. If he wasn't stressed before, he is now-- everyone is. Don't look vulnerable. So he keeps up the cheerfully immature facade. Keeps lying. Keeps pointing out that he's lying, not so that people look past it but so that they ignore it when the act breaks.
Kaede dies, because she killed Rantaro. She didn't want him dead, sure, since he wasn't the one who brought them all here, but that's what she got. The person who put the most work into keeping the group pointed in the same direction is dead. Because she killed someone. There's no point in really trusting anyone. Is there?
Everyone's snippy because they're stressed, but some people are still nice enough. Kokichi does wind up bonding with certain people. Him and Kiibo and Miu like snarking at each other, it seems. He and Gonta make a pretty good tag team, honestly-- I've already talked about how, if you act at the right time, you see Gonta fully aware of the motive video viewing aspect of the insect meet and greet, but that's not the only thing. At one point, Gonta mentions he thought he saw a bug for a moment, but couldn't find it after; because of this, Kokichi at some point asks Miu to build the bug-vac. There's clearly a certain amount of mutual respect between all of these parties, if you know where to look for it.
Ryoma dies. What happened before wasn't just a one time thing. Ryoma is dead because someone thought they deserved to leave more than he deserved to live. No pretense of belief it was his fault everyone is there, since he'd offered his life to free someone before. Something intentional, if well intentioned.
Kirumi dies, because she killed Ryoma. Kirumi, who cared for them, all of them, was willing to let them die for her own goals. Willing to kill them all for her own goals. And, sure, perhaps they are noble goals. Who else has noble goals here, that they might find worth killing for?
In Ch3, Miu's lab with the big ass computer opens up and she begins working on a project involving it. This becomes instrumental in what we eventually learn to be her plan to kill Kokichi. We don't know when he finds out about this, but it's probably sometime during Ch3, since most of Ch4 is dedicated to the NWP. Miu is his friend, which is not something he's sure he can say about most everyone else here. Possibly, she is even his best friend. He was helping her put together this place for everyone to be away from the killing game, at least for a little while, and it was all so she could kill him?
He is a liar. He knows this. Everyone around him knows this. There is no one he can tell, who he can trust to believe him, to help him keep himself safe. Is there?
Angie and Tenko die, because there is malice in this place. Why else would Tenko be dead, if not for malice? Angie, one could have claimed, died for freedom. But Tenko? There was no reason for her to die. Angie was already gone. Kokichi picked the lock to find her body himself, was one of the first people to see her dead. And then Tenko dies, too. Killed right in front of him, even if he didn't see.
And then, while he's investigating an empty room (maybe because he thinks something might be there. maybe because he just needs some space to think.) he falls through the floor. He knew this place was shittily made, but-- No, lying under the floorboards with his concussion and looking up at the cause, he can see that this was quite intentional sabotage.
He is a liar. He knows this. Everyone around him knows this. There is no one he can tell, who he can trust to believe him, to verify what could become a crucial piece of the puzzle. But he does have a bleeding head injury. That's got to count for something. Perhaps there's something easier to convince people of, than the fact that he cares. (Perhaps people want to believe more in the idea that he's so opportunistic about messing with them, that he'll use his real ass head injury to play dead just for a reaction.)
Korekiyo dies, because he killed Angie and Tenko. Because of his malice. Kokichi watches him, and knows that one way or another someone will be following him all too soon.
Maybe he realizes Gonta doesn't remember, when they get out of the NWP and he's acting the same as he did before they went in. Or maybe he doesn't. But he does cry, when the voting's done. Even if he walks it back afterwards, even if everyone thinks he's a horrible person for walking it back too far. He does cry. Whether it was real or not. But what reason would he have to pretend? To fake a vulnerability he immediately denied? Kokichi broke that day, I think, the snapped wing of his downward spiral finally shattering against stone with the rest of him. Don't look vulnerable.
"You're alone," someone he respects (likes) (appreciates) (believes in) (loves?) tells him. "You're alone and you always will be."
And with a nightmarish grin on his face, Kokichi leaves everyone else behind, his mind made up. His course of action decided. He is going to die for these people. And he is going to do so as a villain, because there is no other way left.
And then he does.
holy SHIT this got long

First of all your Instagram posts are the best. I learn more about mbti and enneagram from you guys than from any other website. Anyway my situation is as follows: I'm kind of confused. My first mistype was Istp because of a test I took in quarantine for Covid and all my life I considered myself quite introverted. But now I am Entj? Regarding cognitive functions I always had Se and Ni between first and second place and I knew I was never the emotional type.
The most I can say is that I never followed the rules. Since I was little if I was told not to run the first thing I did was run and all in an immediate and natural way. I had a great imagination, all the time it was dreaming about what I could do. Even the reasons I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing was because I was thinking about what I would do next. As a child I wanted to have fun. Clearly I grew up, changed schools and became somewhat closed off. I was one of the best students because of my intelligence and I was always looking to get good grades. I was one of those "heartless" people who received a secret love letter, tore it up right away and threw it away in front of everyone and topics like love I always dismissed, there were times when I might like someone but having a partner was not a priority and I let the feeling just disappear.
With Entj's stereotype of being a leader I felt quite identified because I unconsciously always assumed the role of leader in any group. Actually I let a colleague be the team leader but I find it very funny that whenever they refer to our team they always think that I am the boss, I am only dedicated to organize the contents of the work. Another detail is that everything I do now is for a future that I want to achieve. I am one of those people who say to myself: "You have to work hard, you have to keep trying to be the best, if you keep doing that you will achieve what you want". Since I was little I was told that the world was a competition and although it was shocking I understood it perfectly. I'm a little bad at details, for example: making a mistake in an exam question by thinking and answering too fast without paying attention to what they were really asking for.
Outside of school I am flexible for routines and I try to keep my room in order but it is not my best quality. I consider myself a person capable of engaging in conversation with any group. I know perfectly well that I don't agree on tastes or topics of conversation but I was always able to talk to anyone. In front of adults I assume a position of a totally responsible person, mature (like any other). And with my friends I am quite spontaneous to a certain extent, they know that with topics about school I am extremely serious and focused.
Sorry for the length. It would help me to have some opinion with more experience on the subject. According to the enneagram I am 3w4. But I'm still reading to confirm if this is the case.
I think that Te dom seems correct. I'd say ENTJ but don't dismiss ESTJ. In my Instagram Guides you can find a detailed guide of ENTJ and ESTJ, read both of them and compare the auxiliary dynamics.
According to the Enneagram... you are either E6 or E3. You seem more focused on head triad issues than on image triad issues. But take a look at the hornevian groups according to enneagramer:
E3s belong to the assertive triad: Moving against others, focus on what the self needs/wants, they “demand” needs from others and the world. E3s in general are goal-oriented and based on action.
E6s belong to the superego triad: Moving with others, focus on what others’ need/want, society, “earn” needs. Focus on building a secure environment for all, being “human,” tribes.

Long post? I've been thinking a lot about Sia's "Music" lately. No, I'm not trying to insult her. I'm talking about the film. Her diagnosis has been all over my timelines, and most people are condemning her for the film's content nonetheless.
I think all the other big Autism accounts have criticized her well enough that I don't need to add on. As they should. They've all said what I wanted to say & I personally won't be forgiving her so easily. But the "Music" fiasco... actually reminds me of how PAPERBOY (my webcomic) was born, in a way?
Matthew & his classmates have lived in my head since 2015. And I remember that when I started PB, I actually didn't know I was Autistic yet, either. At the time, all I knew was that I was a kid in Special Ed, that disability was an unspeakable topic, and that a lot of the people involved in it treated me badly.
Kids' brains are like sponges-- they soak up whatever's around them. And I was raised drowning inside of an awful program. One that didn't show nor teach us respect, acceptance, or anything like that.
I resented, looked down at "certain" kids with the more noticeable disabilities, for "making SPED kids look bad! You're the reason we ALL get seen as less than!" And the thought that I could ever really count as a disabled kid was my worst nightmare. Because in my head, being disabled would mean that all this abuse was justified. And that I was truly & utterly inferior.
And I'd wring out all that nasty thought-process water. It would spill onto the pages of notebooks that became PAPERBOY's first drafts. And oh, believe me, it stained.
But, unlike Sia, I was a kid then. She's grown. She also put that shitty story up for all to see, while mine was restricted to notebooks. And it was only a year or two after I learned about being diagnosed as a baby that the ND movement(s) started blowing up online. So I looked into it, and like... it opened my 14-year-old mind up a lot.
So you know what I started doing? CHANGING THE STORY. Writing a better one. One that was much less hateful. And I changed the core message from "fuck disability, and fuck Special Ed too!" to "being different is not something we should feel punished and pain for. We are a community. And we deserve better."
Autism is neutral & one if the most human things I can think of. It's not to be demonized or glorified. It's not a tragedy, and it's not always some amazing miracle, either. We are people, not props. We deserve to be spoken & storytold about realistically. And we should be embraced at the end of the day. You need to be willing to learn how to listen & respect life's Autistics as they are.
Sia can't undo the real life harm she & her ableism inflicted. I can't, either. But... she CAN choose to change, grow up & out of it, and maybe lead her audience with her. Hopefully, with her new diagnosis, all that time offline, and a crap ton of self-reflection, she can. I mean, I managed, and I'm nowhere near as life-experienced, smart, OR skilled as she is!
Truth be told, I kinda hope she makes another Autism movie? With a big writing team of experienced, Autistic storytellers who know what they're doing. Cast Autistic actors. And instead of writing about somebody that she clearly doesn't see as an equal, she can actually level with them & write them a better story, too. "Music" was dedicated to somebody, right? I think that Somebody deserved a story where they're not just seen, but they're heard. And spotlighted! (Music certainly wasn't.) So... why not try again?
Or hey, maybe not even that, maybe she can try writing from her own experiences as an Autistic woman this time. Growing up undiagnosed, what that was like for her, dealing with a taught self-hatred in a mask that seems to have controlled her life.
I don't know. I like to live my life focusing more on what we CAN do about something instead of doubling down or getting stuck on what we can't. And I think others should, too.
Doubt she's reading this, but like... you've gotta make this right, Sia. Do better. Figure something else out. That's all.

This isn't exactly a relationship problem in the traditional sense of the term but I suppose you're probably the only person that could help me out with this.
My girlfriend got warped into a nerdy slob, has been for a while now. It's something that we both learned to embrace, she loves how she is now, and as a nerdy guy myself its great for us to be able to connect on that kinda stuff now. The slobbiness was a little harder to get used to but I've come to enjoy it as well.
The problem is my friends and family. Formerly our friends. They think I'm nuts, they avoid her like the plague now (saying she smells like the plague too) and I can understand why to an extent but with the way they talk about her like she's a brand new person. Which I think we both know is complete bull. My parents have always been "TF-Phobic" if that's a term, after my sister had been turned into a cougar they outright stopped inviting her to family events, eventually she took the hint and basically only talks to me now.
Of course, when they realized my brilliant sexy hiker girlfriend now enjoyed a nice evening of anime, video games and greasy, salty chips, they freaked out. I predict that if I still plan on marrying her my sister may very well be my best man (or best woman I guess lol).
My friends are just being jerks about it, thinking it's a fetish thing no matter how much i tell them otherwise and even suggest I'm happy she's been changed in the first place! Similar ribs and a general reluctance to let her come to our usual hangouts paint a pretty clear picture to me.
No idea how my girlfriend's old friend group are dealing with her changes but she doesn't seem too bothered about it. I met some of her new gaming/anime buddies online and they're nice enough.
So this is what I'm dealing with, I guess as a shrink you probably hear about stupid woes like this all the time, hope I'm not bothering you with this. I suppose I'd just appreciate some thoughts on all this. Thank you so much for taking the time to read all this. I hope you're having better luck with your own issues.
I’m sorry your friends and family have chosen to treat you and her like this. I’m also happy to hear your relationship was able to survive the change, I know that takes a lot of work, and dedication, so good for both of you.
I don’t really have a magic way to convince them to become more tolerant and inclusive. You can only stand up for yourself and clearly communicate that their comments towards you and your girlfriend are hurtful, and if they value you in their lives they’ll stop it immediately.
If they can’t respect your request, and boundaries then it’s time to drop em’. Easier said than done, but hopefully it won’t come to that. If you make your boundaries clear, then I find people will generally respect them.
Besides that your girlfriend has already found a new group of friends, and you’ve got your sister, so it’s not like you’ll be stranded on an island if you do cut these toxic elements out of your life.
And just know you’re not the only person to go through this. Couples have been battling with their communities since the dawn of time to be with who they want. You’ll survive and make the best decision for you and your partner.

If this is too much ignore this, but just who do you think betrayed Undertaker and why? (Referring back to that phrase he said on the Campania) Personally think it could have been Claudia especially if Undertaker was disappointed by her dedication to the Queen as the Watch Dog. Being a Phantomhive woman and probably proud of inheriting her family legacy she probably wouldn't appreciate his attitude to Victoria. Maybe she found out what he was maybe both? If the parallel to Ivanhoe hold true (would be neat to see Yana's twist on this) he was likely betrayed as a human too? Then we all know he clearly didn't like something that the Reaper higher-ups were doing...
Who betrayed Undertaker?
That's one of those million dollar questions. Because it seems pretty likely someone (and/or an entire institution) did.
Here are some scenarios for different possibilities:
If he was betrayed as a human, it might have been someone he loved, or it might have been someone in a position of authority. I say this because those are the most-likely scenarios now, as a reaper, and I have a sneaking suspicion that most reapers deal with similar situations to the ones they dealt with as humans, and part of their punishment is not being able to end their own suffering so easily. I imagine that a reaper who takes their own life (by death scythe or something) will wind up as reapers again. Sascha is the only one I've seen who seems to think being a reaper is their "calling". Ludger hears that and thinks it's a ludicrous idea.
As a reaper, he might have been betrayed by Cloudia/Claudia, as you say. Maybe because of her loyalty to the queen? Or perhaps she got pregnant and didn't even tell him? Or... maybe she got pregnant and said she would keep her children from following in her footsteps (as watchdog, etc), but then he found out she was training them to take over for her, just as she had taken over for her own father.
Similarly, he might have felt betrayed by Vincent at some point, which would be the biggest parallel to Ivanhoe. His loyalty to the queen would be the closest parallel. His choice of Rachel for a wife would be another parallel, since Wilfred of Ivanhoe wanted to marry Rowena, and Cedric initially forbade it. Previously I'd mentioned the possibility that Vincent and Undertaker had an argument and Undertaker went away, and while Undertaker was away, the attack happened. It would help explain why it took a while for word to reach him or for him to get to the crime scene.
The last main scenario I can think of is, of course, where the reaper organization lies to reapers about their punishment -- that chance of salvation -- and undertaker finds out.
Oh! ETA: and, as I've also mentioned before, the entire purpose of collecting souls could have a lie in it... or an omission of some very important fact. Is it entertainment... an experiment... a food source for angels and/or the god of their world?
Truth is, Undertaker might feel betrayed in multiple ways by multiple people.

Whumptober Day Six
Title: Proof of Life
Prompts Used: Screams from across the hall, "I've got a pulse"
Warnings: Blood, Injury, Creepy Vibes, An ending that doesn't feel like an ending but also won't be continued
Whumpee(s): Literally just Some Guy
General Notes: So. This was the first one I wrote, back when I was dedicated to not actually hurting The Boys. Now, it's my least favorite; purely because I have a lot of different ideas, now, where I hurt people we actually care about and make it better. But, I'm not going to rewrite it. I spent three days agonizing over what to name some random guy and refused to back out and just not mention it. Anyway. This one's kinda boring because Who Even Is This Guy. Due to my current lack of time, I also didn't read back over this. I will not be offended if you're like 'hey Squiggs, there's a Really Obvious Mistake somewhere'. I'd actually really appreciate it.
Can also read on AO3 and I'll be adding links to these when I work that out. Find me at StoryTimeWithSquiggles and have fun laughing as I try to figure out how to work AO3
Exploring an old abandoned building had seemed like a really good idea, at first. They’d been walking for a long time, and around half of the group had been downright excited at the prospect. So of course they went; none of them had ever been quite able to resist adventure anyway.
It was eerily silent, when they entered. The squeak of the door’s old hinges disturbed the absolute silence, breaking the still air in a way that felt jarringly inappropriate. The place was deserted; so still and bereft of any sign of life that the sounds of nine people breathing was enough to sound deafening.
“Ooh a mushroom,” Wild’s voice broke the silence, and consequently the spell that seemed to engulf the place. The effect was ruined all at once as he jogged forward and ripped a piece of fungus out of a crack in the floor, stashing it away for later.
Warriors strolled forward after him, trailing his finger along the wall to accumulate dust which he inspected, rolling it between his fingers as the others finally dispersed to explore.
Hyrule peered around a doorframe into the next room, finding a kitchen with a sink full of unwashed dishes. The table was set, dishes in order and half-burnt candles standing proudly in the middle. One of the chairs was overturned, but everything else was perfectly in order; the thick layer of dust the only indication that the occupants weren’t right outside. “What do you think happened?” He asked softly, reluctant to disturb the scene, even with the others poking at everything they could get their hands on.
Sky sneezed violently and splayed a hand across the wall to maintain his balance, sending up a cloud of dust that made him sneeze again. He held up a finger for patience, clearly having an answer that he couldn’t quite get out between sneezes.
“Wow,” Legend seemed almost appreciative after the third sneeze; any semblance of lingering peace well and truly banished. “That was aggressive.”
Sky glared, sniffing and straightening as he carefully brushed the dust off his hands. “What I was trying to say is we should check in there,” he pointed across the hall to another door. This one was halfway open, hanging off the wall by one hinge. It was cracked down the middle as if it had been kicked open with blunt force, and the room beyond was pitch black.
Twilight drew his sword, starting a chain reaction as everyone else moved to do the same. “I don’t have a good feeling about that room,” he rumbled quietly.
“Just a room,” Four shrugged and plucked a candle off the table, holding it out to Wild, who eagerly lit it with an obnoxiously large flame sword he produced from thin air. It melted away half of what was left of the candle, but it was lit, and that was really all that mattered.
“C’mon scaredy-Links,” Four teased, crossing the hall and disappearing into the room without a moment’s hesitation.
Instantly, a high-pitched scream split through the air; the voice from across the hall not sounding at all like the only person who should be over there.
They all lurched forward as one, creating a jam in the doorway that slowed their procession more than any of them liked. “Smithy?” Sky called worriedly, as if he honestly believed that scream belonged to Four.
“I’m fine,” Four’s voice was worried, and when Wild finally elbowed his way in with his flame sword, they could see why.
“We’re not going to hurt you,” was out of Time’s mouth before most of them even had time to process the scene.
A woman was pressed against the back wall, the body of a man sprawled across the floor beside her. She cradled his head in her lap, her face streaked with tears and his shirt soaked with blood.
“What happened?” Warriors asked as Hyrule surged forward, diving to his knees as his hand flew to the man’s throat, fingers searching his throat for any sign of life.
The woman shrunk away from him, but he was undeterred as Time stepped forward. “We’re here to help, miss. You’re safe. Can you tell us what happened?”
“I’ve got a pulse!” Hyrule blurted in victory, making grabby motions with his free hand until Wild got the message and shoved a potion into it.
“I don’t know,” the woman shook her head, he voice hoarse a strained. “We came in here to hide, there were lizalfos outside, and we got in here and…it was so dark, we couldn’t see what…” she trailed off, shaking her head and clutching the man’s hand tighter, allowing Hyrule to pull him up slightly.
Warriors moved to help keep him upright, and Hyrule carefully poured the potion into his mouth.
“Are you hurt?” Wind asked, nudging Wild closer to the woman and squinting at her through the dark.
“Just a scrape,” she held up her arm. “Don’t worry about me. Will…is he going to be okay?”
“I’ll do what I can,” Hyrule assured, glowing hands now hovering over the man’s battered chest.
“Sorry I tripped over you and made you think I was here to finish you off,” Four muttered, crossing his arms almost awkwardly.
Hyrule’s hands stopped glowing, and he lifted the man’s shirt to get a better look at the mostly-healed wounds. “Looks like claws,” he assessed.
“Like the door,” Legend nodded back toward the doorway, and the marks they knew it contained.
     “Something lives here?” Wild guessed.
Everyone’s eyes flicked toward the door, then back to the pair on the floor. “Hey Vet, why don’t you go check upstairs?” Warriors suggested, turning expectantly toward Legend.
Legend glared. “Hey Captain, someone who’s not a coward would volunteer themself.”
“Buddy system,” Four decided, slipping back out the door with only his candle for company.
“Does he know what the buddy system is?” Wind mused curiously.
Time shrugged and went after him, determined to avoid any more crises if at all possible.
Silence reigned for a few short moments after they left, but it was interrupted shortly by a sharp intake of breath from the man. “Tenrec!” The woman gasped, grabbing his hand when it flailed through the air.
“What happened?” Wind shoved his way to the front of the cluster of Link’s in under a single second, squinting back and forth from the injury to the man’s face.
“Personal space,” Legend warned quietly, grabbing his shoulder and pulling him back into the clump before turning to the duo on the floor. “Do you know what happened?”
The man, Tenrec, shook his head. “Who...”
“We’re Link,” Wild answered easily, kneeling beside them and flipping around on his slate for a moment before producing a roasted fish on a stick. “Here, this should help.”
Tenrec looked absolutely baffled, and the woman patted his shoulder assuringly. “It’s alright dear, I think they’re here to help. That one healed you with magic,” she nodded toward Hyrule, who smiled awkwardly and gave a shy little wave.
“Upstair’s clear,” Time’s voice was the first indication that the upstairs scouts had returned, and half of the party jumped at his words. “Whatever it was, it’s gone now.” He turned toward the duo on the floor and gave a tight nod. “You’re awake. Good. We’ll accompany you to the nearest town in case it comes back. Can you walk?”
Tenrec nodded and accepted Warrior’s hand, allowing himself to be tugged to his feet. The captain grabbed his shoulder to steady him when he swayed, and the woman quickly ducked under his arm to support him.
They made their way out of the house, tightly securing the door behind them with a silent prayer that they’d never have to meet whatever had lurked inside.

I only watch the ofmd fandom from afar but some people give the impression of not conciliating well how the show is light hearted and comforting but also deals with heavy subjects in a general violent contex. the fact I've seen people say there's no homophobia when it's the central driving force of the plot is the most exaggerated example. but it's also in this attempt to flatten characters into "uwu baby" and "who's right vs who's wrong" (or at worse who's an abuser) when the show clearly does its best to create a likable flawed cast. Stede is extremely insecure and a horrible father/husband even before he abandons his family. Ed is an abuse survivor and he struggles with anger. Izzy is an asshole and it's funny- I mean he's a brit working class caricature. those things interact and its what makes the show human and interesting. why try to smash it into a simplistic dichotomy. it won't work 😭😭
and obviously you know all of this. so I guess it's: thanks for having braincells 😘😘
I don't actually know how old this ask is, but, it's been in my inbox for a while lol, sorry!
I think observing from a distance might be the most enjoyable way, it's been years since I was this close to the centre of a fandom and it's wild.
But yes, you're absolutely correct, it's a show about flawed characters and their ability to realise they're in the wrong, and change themselves - if that's what they want! Obviously not every character is given this opportunity, nor should they be, but I think my main issue with people coming down on the characters either way is that currently, they're unfinished!
...maybe Izzy will get worse next season, maybe his racism/general abusiveness and manipulation will become his main character traits, maybe his arc is that he rejects offers of kindness and belonging because of his own prejudices/self-importance and in the end this destroys him. I'd love to see that play out, but I'd love to see whatever they do with him play out too.
Taking a break for a while really made me realise that actually, this is a comedy show about pirates? What Are We Doing??
I love the meta and the drawn out explanation - I am an English Literature and Media Studies graduate, like literally I dedicated years of my life to this stuff! But one of the main reasons for these analyses is that it's supposed to be a discussion, there are supposed to be disagreements and alternative theories, and you should look at whether the evidence is actually in support of what is being said.
It isn't about deciding what is moral/immoral content to consume. Especially in a comedy show, where the character people are angry about is so cringe-fail within the show itself, and who's worst traits seem only to be evident through close-reading.
One of the first things you learn if you take Lit/Media in higher education is that you can be wrong about a text. You can't just say whatever you want without actual textual evidence (and, pet-peeve, but I personally do not count interviews etc). And sometimes, completely contrasting information can be true - because of the ambiguity! Whether these meanings are intentional or not - this is unknowable. And of course you can have your own personal opinions or readings of a text, but it's weird to decide that because you are right, everything else must be wrong.
I also see posts that essentially read - "this character is deep and multifaceted and we should look closely at them. But this character sucks and if you engage with content that looks closely at them then you suck too!" And I can't help but feel that that's worse than if we weren't to engage with textual analysis at all. Ignoring the actions of "evil" characters, who shape the narrative, feels very dismissive to me - disrespectful both to the text itself but also to the real world issues that it draws from.
I suppose in conclusion, everyone continue to think critically, consume media critically, but also, touch grass sometimes. and maybe read a book too.
