Soukoku SFW Alphabets✨ (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Part 2, Part 3
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Their ways of showing affection are weird, from writing death messages to teasing each other like no tomorrow, they probably have the type of affection that just traumatises any onlookers. Between them, they both show equal amounts of affection, just different ways of showing it. Dazai uses more words to make Chuuya feel better, while Chuuya shows affection through his actions, like making Dazai's fav dish for dinner.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Of course their friendship started with a fight. As best friends, they would probably be the worst not when bickering between themselves but when they make it everyone's problem. When they work towards a common goal though, they are unstoppable, whether it be studying for a test, or a devious plan to prank literally everyone around them. Either way, the duo is a major headache for whichever poor soul that has the misfortune of crossing paths with them.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
This one's a definite yes. Cuddles are probably their favourite way of showing affection. At first sight, many would think that Dazai is the big spoon, but in reality, Chuuya's the big spoon. Dazai just likes to cling to Chuuya and fall asleep while listening to his heartbeat. Chuuya loves to bury his head in Dazai's hair and smell the sweet shampoo he'd bought for Dazai. Both of them have trouble sleeping when the other's not around, especially Dazai.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
Dazai is a huge flirt and proposes double suicides with every other woman he meets, but his heart belongs to Chuuya. It's a fact that had established itself unknowingly in his head ever since he met Chuuya, but being the emotionally constipated idiot he is, Dazai didn't realise it until much much later. Chuuya is loyal to a fault, and that's the absolute truth. Ever since he fell for Dazai, Chuuya's never looked at anyone else. Maybe a few flings with nameless faceless people after Dazai left, but he never let go of the feelings he had for Dazai. As for chores, Chuuya does most of the work, but surprisingly, Dazai does some work too. It was a fact that had scared the living daylights out of the ADA when they learnt about it.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
No. The thing is, no matter how much they try to stay apart, they always gravitate towards each other in the end. It's like Dazai's Chuuya's other half, and vice versa. So no, I can't write anything for impossible scenarios.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
No matter when they actually get married, their hearts were already married since they were fifteen. But Dazai was a bit afraid of the commitment at first, but as they slowly unravelled each other(and themselves in the process) Dazai's fear evaporated away. Dazai wanted to get married as soon as they got together after he defected, but Chuuya needed more time to process the events, so they got married a little late (in their opinion anyway. Kunikida still thinks 23 is too early to tie the knot.).
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
"Gentle is something that's not in Soukoku's vocabulary." is what many would think. But they are surprisingly soft when they're in tune with each other's emotions. It wasn't an easy task, especially with all the masks Dazai wore, but when Chuuya understood what Dazai needed at the moment, he became gentle and giving. Though Dazai is an expert at observing, he doesn't know how to express his feelings and ends up using physical contact to show that he really cares. In the end, Dazai is gentler physically, while Chuuya is gentler emotionally.

In my Head
Tumblr media
Pairing: Oliver x F! MC (Ida Bellamy)
Masterlist
Word count: 1038 words
Warning: Angst
Author's note: I participated in this week's @wackydrabbles and you will find the prompt in bold
The MC is not present in this fic... It's basically Oliver contemplating life and thinking about mc heheh...It's something new which I tried and I hope you like it 😊
Song: Lost my Mind by FINNEAS
Please forgive me if I make any mistakes
The moonlight poured through the small window in the captain's lodge. You could see the clear sky, the dark and peaceful waters which stretched for miles.
You could hear the waves splashing against the hull of the ship, making it sway, as if a mother was rocking the crib, to put her child to sleep.
Everyone was asleep.
Everyone but Oliver.
He lay in his bed, shirtless lost in the whirlwind of thoughts and demons.
As a lieutenant of the navy, his life always revolved around the seas and war. He maybe young but, he had slain mighty pirates and bathed in the blood of great bandits in the 12 summers he spent in the navy.
He was ruthless and unstoppable, just like his father. His ambition and passion towards serving his country drove him to work harder, resulting him to become the youngest lieutenant of the navy. The edge of his sword has met the demise of mighty criminals and their goons.
But lately, he has been contemplating how much of the blood on his hand was just innocents, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The weight of guilt on his almost non-existent conscience made him claustrophobic all of a sudden. He felt the walls closing around him. The need to breathe became overwhelming, so he got up and walked towards the upper deck of the ship.
The humid, night air with the smell of the sea was comforting as it whistled through his golden shoulder length locks. Under the moonlight, they looked golden, like an angel's halo.
I'm anything but angelic. Oliver scoffed to himself.
He was baffled by his brooding state. He was a happy go lucky guy, a rationalist and rarely found himself confused but, he knew the answer for his grumpiness and confusion.
Ida Bellamy.
The name left his lips like a prayer.  The name which had been ingrained into his brain. The name which could bring him down to his knees.
Ida... The name was so unique and so was she.
All his life, he had many woman trying to court him but nobody, absolutely nobody could hold his attention for longer than ten seconds. He wasn't one to waste time in this whiffle-waffle. His place was in the open seas, not in a mansion, playing as a provider.
But, Ida was so different. She had a fiery spirit. Just like a flame which always dances to its own tune and can't be tamed, Ida was a free spirit.
It may have been mere four hours they spent together but, Oliver was a very good at analysing people. And the more he learnt about her, the more intrigued and drawn he felt towards her.
Like Icarus towards the sun.
Like a moth drawn to a flame.
I just met her acquaintance, yet in that little time I felt like I have known her for lifetimes... Oliver thought to himself as he leaned against the railing.
He looked up at the stars which gleamed against the prussian blue sky and it immediately reminded him of her twinkling emerald eyes.
Is she also looking up at the stars and thinking about the night we met? Oliver thought wishfully, realising just how stupid and far fetched it sounded.
He still remembered the way those eyes shone as they stood face to face on the dock. It felt as if he was soaring through the sky, amidst the stars.
But when he thought back to their brief encounter, he would remember about the capture. About how those radiant eyes dimmed, and hate and anger took their place.
He could remember how she felt repulsed by his touch. How she visibly flinched with disgust, when Oliver approached her jail cell. He could remember how she called him a "bastard" and how he was like the usual "damned navy dogs".
He had been cussed out by many people in the past and called a navy dog so often but, hearing her say it made him clench his jaw with shame.
It felt like a pang in his chest and for the first time in a very long time, he found himself hesitating. Found himself questioning himself. Found himself at crossroads.
Maybe it was confusing, but it wasn't like anyone really cared.
And the surprising thing is that, he found himself willing to be careless. Willing to give it all up. All the medals, accolades and titles.
Ida... What are you doing to me?
He didn't know where she was anymore. Or if she was even alive at this point. He had seen his father's ship blast cannons into 'The Revenge' through his spy glass and he was definitely sure that nobody could have survived a wreck like that.
His father even sent a messenger dove his way, informing him that Edward Montmartre was still in custody but the girl went missing.
It infuriated him and he almost turned the ship and set a route for Carribbean islands but, his right hand commander stopped him. Told him that he would be risking the lives of all men on board.
So with a heavy heart he continued his course, the only thing pushing him to move forward was hope. Hope that their paths will cross again. Hope that she is alive and breathing.
Since the past fortnight, he found himself doing things that he never believed in. Praying, hoping and worrying.
Ida, if you survive and if its meant for our fates to intertwine once again, I'm not leaving you. Oliver swore to himself, his intention becoming steely.
He started down to look at the earring in the palm of hand. It was Ida's. He picked it up from the floor of the deck, with the intention to return it back.
But time was never on their side.
Clutching the delicate earring in his passion, he started at the glowing horizon, signalling the start of a new day. I know we have rotten luck but, please hang on and stay alive.
I promise, that the moment my eyes are on you, I will make up for all the pain and prove that I'm a good man. But for now, I wish to see you soon.
I wish to see you now.

3 (other) reasons why Diego's & Lila's relationship is probably doomed
So many people have already established that a relationship between these two might not be the greatest idea after the things she did to him this season, so I'm not getting into that, instead I'm going to focus on different things that strike me as difficult.
1. Unstoppable force + unstoppable force
Many people say that Diego and Lila fit together so well because they both have this reckless and borderline crazy way of doing things, but I don't think that's a particularly good thing. They're both head-strong and stubborn as shit so I imagine that, if they disagree on something, it'd be nasty.
Bare with me as I compare it to Diego and Eudora aka unstoppable force + immovable object. Eudora, while also head-strong, is more of a calm and collected individual that evens out with Diego's wild, over-the-top attitude. Yes, they did break up because they had their differences about how to go about some things because Eudora doesn't share Diego's recklessness, which wouldn't apply to Lila, but oh Diego and Lila would absolutely disagree on other things and because they're both this unstoppable force, it wouldn't be pretty.
2. minus × minus doesn't always equal plus
What I mean by that is that they both have issues. A lot of them. And, think what you will, but you can't go and attempt to fix someone else (aka your partner) if you haven't fixed yourself. If they both lean onto each other for support, they're going to crumble eventually. Sure, they may find a sort of solace within each other because they understand each other in their abusive upbringing, but that doesn't make for a great relationship.
3. Lila does not need a relationship right now
This is an addition to my last point. See, Lila just realized how she had been abused and manipulated throughout her childhood. She needs to work through this first.
Diego realized this all the way back in his late teenage years probably, and while it's going to stick with him forever, he's had all these years to process what happened and try to move on. He's had those idk 12-14 years or something to free himself from the abuse and build a life outside of it. He's learnt to live his own life and he's also learnt that this abusive and manipulative bullshit isn't right and tries to be better. He's found "friends" and he even had a relationship before that generally seemed to have been pretty good.
Lila is nowehere near any of that yet. Up until now she lived a lie believing the Handler loved her and only wanted the best for her. Lila doesn't even know what a healthy relationship is like, hence why she continues to mistreat Diego throughout season 2. She just doesn't know any better and thinks that's how you do things. Someone like her needs time to process this and learn how to engage in a life away from her abuser and how to build healthy relationships. If you just throw her into a relationship now, it's not going to go well. Give her a bit of time and things will look different. Give her a therapist instead of a relationship.

I’ve been seeing a few comments (both here and on other sites like AO3) suggesting that the Hubert/Byleth ship needs a little bit of help in sailing since it seems to be somewhat of a rare!pair. And I absolutely agree!
I made a headcanon post a few days ago for ideas that ran through my head whilst working on Changing Seasons, but I’ve decided to take some of the Hubert & Byleth headcanons I had out and make their own post for it instead. I’ve added a few other points as well that are specifically ship related. (:
Hubert and Byleth are together a good long while before the final battle. Judging the kind of people they are their relationship doesn’t start as one built on love and romance but one built upon the foundations of trust and mutual admiration. After seeing Byleth so easily defend Edelgard and side with the Empire five years prior Hubert is no longer wary or suspicious over her, and appreciates her all the more.
In fact over the five years Byleth is gone, Hubert had moments where he would think back on how he treated her before. Knowing that she’s gone at that point he does regret his words and actions, and wished that he could have at least apologised before they all lost her. When she eventually returns he does apologise, and the two of them decide to just move on and grow.
Edelgard only finds out when things between the two of them become more serious and those romantic feelings do start coming into play. Neither of them have experienced such a thing before and although they’ve grown comfortable in what they share - the company, the stress relief, the ease of which they can talk to one another about anything - love is something new, and different though. It’s only after a run in on the battlefield which has one of them nearly injured and the other aiding them that Edelgard pulls them both together for a private talk later and asks them directly what’s going on. (Edelgard’s the one that ends up realising they’re in love and pretty much sighs, smiles, and tells them they both have to talk with one another about their feelings, and that the sooner they do the easier it’ll be to focus on the war).
Edelgard is 200% supportive from the beginning btw. She knows they’re sensible and trustworthy people so as to not let their feelings interfere too much from their work, and she’s happy to see them find happiness in such a difficult and stressful time. (Also, it’s just damn nice to not have Hubert telling her how dangerous it is to be growing close to Byleth like he did back during their academy days).
In other pairings Hubert can end up with, it’s alluded that he ends up having a big family with whoever he’s marred to (I think it’s Petra that suggests he has an army of kids?) I kinda adopted that and believe the same for him and Byleth. They have four kids; the oldest being a boy, then two twins - a boy and a girl each - and the very youngest is another girl. There’s a few years difference between each pregnancy - I imagine the oldest being about ten or eleven by the time Byleth gives birth to her last daughter.
Edelgard absolutely adores the children. How could she not when their parents were her two favourite people in the world? She likely spoils them.
Hubert does get Byleth an engagement ring, soon after they’ve all returned to the capital. She really hadn’t minded that he didn’t have one when he proposed to her, but she loves the one he does eventually gift her. Ferdinand and Lindhardt try and offer their own advice when they learn Hubert was looking, although Hubert doesn’t really listen to them and focuses on finding it alone. He knows Byleth, and he wants to pick something himself.
Seteth escaped, and Byleth helped him to do so. As far as Hubert is concerned Seteth is ‘no longer a threat’, but she never told him what she did because he never asked her for the truth. Hubert likely knows though. He trusts in her decision making well enough by this point to not question her loyalty, and I imagine if he ever did ask her outright Byleth would be honest. Hubert might not like hearing it, and they might argue over it if it ever came to light, but there’s no real distrust or hiding of motives.  (Flayn died in my game - but I’m leaning towards the thought that Flayn survives and escapes too. Byleth explaining that the two of them are together and have no intention of harming Edelgard or the Empire are likely what relax Hubert, and although he’s not 100% convinced he knows Byleth trusted Seteth and Flayn enough that it had to mean something coming from her).
There’s that part in their endgame slide that says they were totally inseparable, which is absolutely true. They’re literally power couple - both in their married life and in their work. Alone they’re dedicated but when you get the two of the together? Working as a unit? Well. A lot of their enemies during the silent war in the shadows that learnt how terrifying they could be. Add Edelgard to the mix and the three of them were unstoppable. After all, Byleth was once known as the Ashen Demon.

Roger’s girl
I had an idea for a single dad Roger and will be doing other imagines with the same basic storyline but they won’t go in order or necessarily correlate to one another.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh what a cutie you really are Roger." Freddie stated as he walked into the apartment without even knocking, smiling at the scene in front of him as he took a seat on the armchair next to the sofa Roger had cramped his rather small and slender frame onto. Seeing the drummer stretched out on his back, Lily-May sitting up on his stomach as his hands were entwined with her much smaller ones. The toddler's head spinning round to see her uncles all entering the flat she and her father lived in. "We've got to go into the studio to book a few gigs, there rather good venues actually." Brian stated, lips pressing together sadly as Roger gestured to the girl on his chest. This was meant to be their day off, they had been at the studio every day for the past two weeks and Roger really wanted to be home right now with his four year old. It had been a big surprise to the band that Roger was the one who had a family and had settled down first. Brian had known him the longest and had previously known Roger to be a bit of a playboy until he was expecting his first when he was nineteen. Just when they were forming the band Smile. Roger had seemed like a completely different person but Brian had never seen him so happy when Lily had been born. Roger was still a very heavy partier and drinker but that didn't change that he was a big family man at heart.
Lily had only been about seven months old when Roger one day turned up at Brian's flat with his baby in arms asking if he could crash at his friends place for a few days until he could secure a new flat away from Lily's mother. Brian had never come so close to having a heart attack as he did in that moment. Wondering why on Earth Roger was buying a flat somewhere near the other side of London but still close to the guitarist without telling Lily's mother what he was doing. Learning the drummer was practically eloping with his daughter Brian had no choice but to help, knowing Roger was doing this for his daughter's best interests though he had been skeptical, close to calling Roger's now ex partner. Brian had learnt a few months later why Roger had suddenly stormed out of his old apartment with his daughter, seemingly not looking back. Though Roger had been young and being a father was such a change from his carefree attitude he took to the role like a pro, doing everything he could for his little girl. The same couldn't be said for Lily's mother. He understood she was finding it hard being a mother, but coming home from a class at university one day to find that she had left Lily alone in the flat almost all day sent him reeling. He'd never come so close to hitting a girl before- let alone a girl he was in a relationship with. Roger had more respect and morals than that but he could feel his fist balling up ready to land a punch because she hadn't seemed remorseful at all. Thus leading to an argument where Roger realised she wasn't stable enough to look after Lily, and she didn't seem to care about their daughter at all. He could tell by the way she had talked that this wasn't the first time it had happened and Roger simply couldn't put Lily in danger like that because she had quickly become his whole world. Stuffing a few things into a bag Roger cradled his daughter to his chest as he screamed at his ex to stay away from them and that he wasn't going near her again. Storming out of the flat and to his friends place, horrified to know she had been more concerned that Roger was leaving her than the fact he was taking their daughter away with the intention never to bring her back. Roger never dared to look back, and he was perfectly fine looking after his girl on his own, only having his ex try and find him a few times. Once ringing rather recently wanting to talk and see him and Lily again, scaring Roger as he knew she could always claim he ran off with their daughter which he did but she could always spin it into a lie. He'd done everything to make sure she wouldn't find him yet, but recently with their songs becoming rather known Roger had to confide in Brian he was afraid she would find where he was and try something to ruin what he had worked so hard for. "It's my day off." Roger shot back, a pout forming on his lips causing Lily to lean her head to the side, confused as to why he suddenly seemed upset. Tugging on his hands that were still encasing her own she caught the drummer's attention as he looked back to her, watching as she let go of his hands before planting her small nimble hands on either side of his face. Clumsily leaning forward she pressed a messy kiss to his lips trying to make him happy again, working as he began to laugh, the scene making the hearts of the other members of the band swell. "It's everyone's day off Rog, but hey it's payday too." John snipped in, trying to brighten the mood as he smiled at the scene, knowing it was hard for Roger to have to work long hours and find someone to look after Lily. John had recently had his first son and was the second one in the band to settle down after Roger but he had a wife to look after the children, Roger was an only parent. Though John and Freddie didn't know what had happened to Lily's mum they were informed by Brian that she was in fact not dead, making them a little more relieved. "Oh yeah wow, a little scrap of money to last next week and then nothing for another three fucking weeks. Honestly we're at that studio every bloody day, me and Fred work down the market when we're not there, you guys have other jobs too and what do we have to show for it? This flat has two bedrooms and I can't fucking move in here, and that fucker at EMI has a new Rolls Royce." Roger ranted, trying to keep his voice low enough so that Lily wouldn't pay attention to the curse words rolling off his tongue but he couldn't help but get riled up. All of the band were in agreement. John also had a small flat and there were three in his flat now, Freddie and Mary had a small one bedroom flat that was very cramped and Brian had a small place with his girlfriend too. But the thing was each of the threee of them had partners to help with rent and food and clothing children. Roger didn't. He had to pay the rent on the scraps they were given, he had to clothe himself and his daughter, feed the pair of them, pay for childcare if no one close could look after Lily. And if his drums went bust he had to fork out for repairs or a new drum. He had two jobs, working at the studio and then down at the market with Freddie to make ends meet and he could barely do that. Roger didn't get help from his parents who didn't live close enough to look after Lily and who he couldn't and wouldn't ask for money from. They had told him when he was expecting Lily they would help with money if he really needed but that he had made his bed and should lie in it and he fully agreed. He was thankfully almost finished with uni, and at that time he had his ex to look after Lily which was help. When he upped and left with Lily he didn't tell his parents for months that he was a single parent now and that had disrupted things between them. Roger had flipped his lid outside of the studio when he noticed their manager had a brand new car and yet the band were paid peanuts that couldn't keep any of them afloat. Everyone was working two jobs at once to keep their homes and keep families fed but he could get a car. The boys had to hold the drummer back from attacking the man when he saw him, because they all knew it was because of the success of 'Killer Queen' and their latest album that he got that car. "We can try and sort the money issue out today if we get going." John stated. All eyes becoming glued to Lily as Roger huffed before getting up, holding his daughter to his chest as everyone knew what he was going to say next. "Lily has to come too." He smiled as he said the words, causing the little girl to giggle as the other three smiled all nodding eagerly. Lily called them all her uncles and they absolutely loved it and she loved going to the studio but they weren't recording today and there was a chance tempers would flare. But Roger couldn't do anything about it, it was meant to be his day off so he thought he would be able to stay home with her. He didn't have anyone on standby to look after Lily.
"Alright your getting on my tits now, piss off." Roger hissed, hands balling into fists at his sides as he glared at Paul who was leaning against the wall, slightly taken back by the anger thrown his way from the drummer he had just provoked. "Just calm down-" "Calm down, are you joking?" None of the boys dared tell the drummer to stop because out of all of them Roger was the one most likely to fly off the handle and right now that was that they needed. If Roger shouted their case they might just be able to get their situation changed because he could be very demanding and if they all joined in once Roger had blown off a little steam they were unstoppable. All just glad Jim had kindly offered to take Lily to go to the canteen for a drink, seeing tempers were flaring. "That's a nice car you have outside, I wonder how much that cost you. Whereas right now all of us are cramped into flats no bigger than this fucking room and we don't have the money to live on because you've stuffed it in your matress." They all watched the concern flash in their manager's eyes as he realised they seemed to have figured out his rather plain ploy. He took a bigger cut of their money than he should but that was the music buisness and the boys were at the bottom of the pile even though they were the grafters. "Well, John's the only one whose really cramped, the rest of you have two people in your homes." Paul cut in, a rather smug look on his face as Brian turned to face him. "Do you mind pissing off I thought we already told you to leave." "He's not wrong, you all have someone else helping paying bills and you have other jobs. When you get an album that sells like 'Killer Queen' does we can arrange to up your pay if the numbers stand." "Who the fuck pays my bills?" Roger spat, anger radiating off his frame as Brian ran a hand over his face, wondering how this was going to go. Knowing there wasn't any good direction this conversation was going to take and in all fairness they were being inconsiderate where Roger was concerned. He wasn't looking for sympathy because he had made the choice for him and his girl to walk out and do this on his own. He had done that and he knew what he was doing but they still couldn't act like he was having help and that him having another job was nothing because being a dad was another job entirely. He was essentially doing three jobs and getting paid for one. "Rog-" "Did you see Lily just now, how does she pay the rent on the poxy flat we live in? How does she afford the food, clothes and bills or the babysitters who have to take care of her when you drag me here at all hours and then pay me tuppence. So I have to go and pay extra for care for her so that I can do another fucking job to get enough money for a home for us and food to eat. I do this on my own and I don't want sympathy I want my fucking money for giving you two albums and about five hits that I haven't seen a copper for in five months." John looked out of the window trying to calm himself down at the tension that was fogging the air and cutting off the oxygen. Not daring to look at the drummer who was on his feet and slamming his hand down on the desk in front of him causing everything to rattle. "He's right. So you have to pay up or we go to another record company." Freddie stated, putting their options out there as Brian and John nodded in agreement, it was the only thing they could do. They were struggling with rent and food and had too little hours to do all their jobs and be with their families. Roger was struggling for people to look after Lily because of the money it cost, so much so that he had taken to bringing her to the studio everyday, having no other choice.
49/100 - Inner monsters : insidious perfectionism
Not a good thing at all
I used to buy into the myth that perfectionism is a good thing, a “fake flaw”, like so many of us. Even if my perfectionism was quite exhausting and frustrating, it made me feel like I was rigorous, I loved well done work and couldn’t “help myself” to be all in when I was doing things. It made me feel better than people who would do things half-assed and without any passion or commitment.
OMG I’m actually a bit embarrassed to have written that first paragraph I have to confess. It makes me feel stupid that I bought in such utter BS, easy con at some point. Which is, very appropriately, yet another layer of perfectionism. That’s how pervasive it gets. I’m not allowed to make any mistakes, to be human.
How procrastination and perfectionism work hand in hand with shame
The first time I started to doubt myself on this was while reading “Procrastination : why you do it, what to do about it” from Jane Burka and Lenora Yuen, almost 10 years ago. It helped me realise how much procrastination and perfectionism were entangled, nourishing each other.
I used to call myself the empress of procrastination too, with again, some kind of weird pride. A friend of mine added me to a group named “Anonymous Procrastinators, where we would share jokes on the matter, but no one seemed remotely interested in changing anything about it, very much like perfectionism.
Actually, it’s worse than that : most of us treat perfectionism and procrastination as personalty traits, things inherent to our identity and way of functioning. Completely oblivious about the fact that by doing so, we make them that much harder to actually change.
What’s the trick?
And then, [cue : light coming from the sky and mystic “aaaaaah” voice harmonies], Brene Brown made her entrance in my life. At that point, her work and mine are so entangled that I allow myself to be on a first name basis with her. Brene is a researcher/story teller. Her work on shame and vulnerability is absolutely brilliant and so liberating (click on each words to see hew awesome TED talks).
You see, perfectionism is rooted in shame. We don’t want to make things perfect because we love them and take them seriously, but because we don’t love ourselves enough to accept how imperfect we are, and to accept that perfection doesn’t exist.
By wanting to make things perfect anyway, we set standards that are impossible to attain. Things becomes polarised (black and white) : either perfect or shitty, and since they’ll never be perfect, everything basically becomes shitty.
And because we learn through that process that we produce shitty things, to compensate, we start to procrastinate them to protect ourselves from the feeling of failing.
If we procrastinate, we can’t do them perfectly, we don’t have time. Therefore, we can always save face when we don’t get the grades or results we wanted by saying “Well, if I had had the time, I would have done better”. We entertain an idea of our own hypothetical greatness, without ever challenging ourselves to see what we are really capable of. Perfect ego trap.
The content of those two last paragraphs blew my mind and changed my life forever when I really studied them and their implications. Perfectionism and procrastination never helped me or anyone in the first place, they just made stuff harder, and made me feel like shit, in order to avoid the discomfort of facing reality. Wasting so so much of my life, time and energy.
You have no idea of the intensity of the break-down that ensued discovering those.
What can we do?
Fortunately, those depressing facts came with some blueprint to get out of there. By seeing perfectionism and his pal, procrastination, as some kind of vulnerability phobia, we become allowed to train our ability to be vulnerable : we become able to strengthen our bravery muscles.
Don’t panic. I’m not saying we need to do heroic stuff to do so. I am talking about a much more important kind of bravery : ordinary courage.
Ordinary courage is a very important skill to practice. Choosing to be vulnerable and brave rather than to feel like we are winning, in control, and powerful is one of the most life-altering things I’ve ever learnt. Obviously, it’s not an easy one, and it takes time, energy and intention. The goods news being that each time we practice it it becomes easier. The more we do it the less scary life seems.
To me, it came down to two things working together : grounding practices (click for my text on those) and creativity. Journaling and meditation help us greatly by being a time to observe how much we are constantly changing, how useless it is to evaluate ourselves, and having clarity on our needs and wants. By showing us everyday that we can’t predict or know that well how we’ll feel, we start opening up, being more flexible, observing instead of judging.
Yoga was crazy efficient for me. It taught me to accept where I was everyday, one step at a time. Being slightly disabled, there are so many things I can’t do. So in order to keep doing it, I needed to let go of my wanting to progress fast, to balance things with ease...
There are quite basic poses I still can’t do after 4 years, and yet, I never cared less about being incompetent. Who cares that I can’t do a headstand or a high lunge when doing way simpler things bring so much joy and serenity to me already while teaching me how to accept myself?
That’s what ordinary courage brings us : the freedom of being our imperfect failing selves.
Creativity helped me even more by providing even more play (yoga teach us how to play with our body through movement, like a very slow dance with practice).
I used to lose my mind when practicing any kind of creative endeavour. Each time I had a crush on a medium, I would get a little too far, working on it very seriously, taking courses, reading manuals and tutorials by dozens without actual practicing.
Once I would finally get myself to actually practice, I would always end up super disappointed about my actual performance. And my perfectionist brain wouldn’t accept that it was completely normal, even by learning and reading a lot about it, that I would suck at something I never practice.
At some point, I would find more and more excuses to not practice more, avoiding that feeling of failure, even if I was feeling shitty for being “that girl who never finished up anything she starts”.
The same thing would go for things that I couldn’t really learn about before practicing. Things that were maybe easier and fun at first. I would be very into it, until it got hard. Then I would slowly lose interest, certain that since I wasn’t easily good at it, it must mean it’s just not my thing, I simply didn’t have any talent at it.
After reading Brene’s books, I decided that I would focus on courage for a year. I tried many small new things I never dared to try. Every time I felt uncomfortable and wanted to quit, I put more energy into being brave instead. I pushed myself to say no to things that I hated and yes to things I loved. I tried to go back to those things I used to love but “had to” give up. It was way better, but still quite a struggle.
I realised with practice that my ability to discourage myself with harsh judgements and impossible standards was too strong for my own good. I needed something to trick my brain into doing something scary, important for me and while not realising I was learning something and skill was involved. It wasn’t easy.
Until I found my first classes on watercolour painting. I watched quite a few of them, but only playful beginners courses, with lots of practice exercises and especially, abstract exercises. And pushed myself to try, even just for a few minutes sometimes.
Abstract is really easy when you don’t know anything about painting : it’s basically about playing with shapes and colours and observe what is happening. You have to fail and can’t fail at the same time.
It was still really scary to do. I had to find so many ways to trick myself. Snacks and peppermint tea helped. Smoking helped. Finding fun and easy subjects to paint definitely helped. Finding a friend interested in trying it out too made me accountable and helped staying motivated. Making sessions short, but frequent was life saving (it makes anything way easier than it is at first, in the quickest way possible).
Not even a year later, I was able to go back to photography, and finally be brave enough to practice and suck at it. Courage is contagious to all parts of life, once we train it, we change in such a deep way, we start loving ourselves more, to be naturally bolder, to trust ourselves and the process of growth, life itself. Everything around us change. We set better boundaries, make better choices, can listen to ourselves better.
Coupled with better awareness, courage makes us virtually unstoppable.
So my only wish for anyone reading this today is that you found here the inspiration of doing anything that you find scary (let’s start at 3-4/10 on a fear scale, 10 being the scariest thing you can imagine doing) today, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Give yourself that opportunity for some self-love and bravery practice.
See you tomorrow,  Love,  L.
Playing With The Heart
Blurb : "What happened last night was a mistake. We both had too much to drink and one thing led to another. It was an act of alcohol and nothing more. I don't have any feelings for you whatsoever. You're my employee and that's all you'll ever be." - Evan Hollen Taking in his father's footsteps, Evan Hollen became successful and the new CEO of Hollen Tower at the age of twenty five. His handsome features made him a catch with the ladies, and he played the field with them because he wanted nothing more. He was heartless and selfish. But, through his arrogance and egotistical ways, his assistant developed a strong liking to him.  And, one fateful night together, everything changed.
Jasmine, written by Mavelinebelle.
Jasmine’s POV
“This can’t be the proposition she was going on and on about for weeks with her annoying ass voice which always makes my damn ears ring! Miss. Rhino can’t be serious!
This has absolutely no benefits nor profits behind it and as matter of fact, if we invest, we would be at a loss!
I’m not interested in this.
Why the hell I hired her?”
He looked at the documents in the folder on his desk I had brought in for him by his Chief Operating Officer, Miss. Rhino.
“Get Ms. Rhino on the line and instruct her to find herself in my office immediately!”
“Yes sir,” I answered sharply.
“And Miss. Blackman, reorganize my schedule for the upcoming week. Cancel that nonsensical meeting with Mr. Hoggers since I’m not interested in investing one billion dollars in his shitty business.
Also, fax those documents to the sixth level and proof read these for me before one p.m.
And can you send Julia a bouquet of white roses with a note attach to it which reads ′thank you′ and get my father on the line,” he ordered although it may sound like he was asking me.
I nodded yes and took two stacks of paper from his hands and exited his office immediately.
I called Miss. Rhino and informed her that she was needed in Mr. Hollen’s office.
“Sir, your father is on line one,” I said to him through the phone once I had phoned his father.
“Mmmh,” he answered back and took the other line.
I ordered the bouquet of white roses and had it delivered over to Julia’s apartment and began faxing the documents to the sixth level as he said.
Afterwards, I began to proofread the other stack of papers he had given me. I would call Mr. Hoggers lastly because I knew he would request to speak to Mr. Hollen directly and since he was on the phone with his father, and Miss. Rhino was on the way to see him, he wouldn’t appreciate being distracted by Mr. Hoggers’ call.
Evan Hollen was my boss and a very successful, rich and powerful one. I had been working for the company for a total of one year. Finishing college, it was a dragged finding a decent job that paid well within my city but luckily for me, I applied to Hollen Tower when I saw an ad in a newspaper for a personal assistant role.
Hollen Tower was established and operated by his father before him. The company was one of the most successful and well developed organization over the globe. Great Cooperative, solid partnerships and a body of well educated and experienced and trained staff took the company to its highest peak and Evan Hollen stood above it with his father’s relinquished crown and well-deserved titles. He would be damned if someone tried to damage what his father started and worked so hard for. He had the temper of a shark, the personality of a dragon and the untimely patience of a baby.
But let’s not forget about his best features. His dark silver grey eyes were everything.
His sexy lean body always carved sharply in his expensive Armani suits.
Okay, you got me. I had the biggest and most unstoppable crush on my boss and I couldn’t help myself.
Evan Hollen was too fine not to have a crush on.
It’s okay to have a secret crush on a very attractive man, right?
Even if he is your boss?
“Miss. Blackman! Can I be buzzed in please?”
A voice snapped me right out of my lustful thoughts.
Miss. Rhino was at my desk, pencils and folders in hands and tapping her left foot impatiently on the tiled floor.
“Yes, one moment please,” I responded, putting the images of my boss to the far back of my mind.
I called Mr. Hollen’s line and informed him that she was here. After he told me to let her in, I hit the buzzer and she strolled into his office with her head held high. She always thought she was above everyone else working at Hollen Tower.
I hated the best bone in that woman. She was a tall, slim woman with pale cream skin. She was thirty years of age but she liked younger men like Mr. Hollen. There was once a rumour circulating about the two of them but I found that very hard to believe. She still had the body of a model but she was utterly not his type. The woman had a personality of a beast and she thought she was better than everyone in the company, except Mr. Hollen of course. She possessed a high job position, she was the COO after all, but she still had to answer to Mr. Hollen.
I continued to proofread the documents in front of me, making the necessary changes and corrections. I enjoyed my job because it made life easier for Mr. Hollen. He had a personal assistant but he fired her on the spot when she developed feelings for him and began flirting with him in his office and since then, he hadn’t hired another one. I was the one doing the duties a personal assistant ought be doing plus my secretarial duties, but I didn’t mind or complained one bit in view of the fact that I was being paid double my monthly salary until he hires another personal assistant.
He should get a male assistant who doesn’t have a thing for the handsome boss.
The ladies always lusted and drooled over him, always wanted his attention and time, always talked about him. He was indeed handsome, one of the most handsome men I’ve ever laid my eyes on. His skin tone was perfectly tanned and I always wondered why.
Is his mom a black woman...or does he have black people in his family?
He doesn’t talk about his parents much and he doesn’t like the beach and the outdoors much either, so why the naturally tanned skin?
Half an hour later, I was already finished. I was a quick but assertive employee. I had to be because the boss hated it when his employees were skylarking on the job or persons not meeting his deadlines.
My deadline was one p.m.
I looked up at the wall clock; it showed fifteen minutes to one.
Then Miss. Rhino barged out of his office and stormed passed me with a frown and unpleasant look on her face.
I peeled myself off the chair and knocked on his office door afterwards.
“Come in Miss. Blackman,” he spoke.
His voice was the ‘Shawn Mendes’ to my ears. I heaved a smile and walked into his office.
“Here are the papers you asked me to proofread. I’ve made the necessary changes and corrections for you. Before I leave for lunch, I would get Mr. Hoggers on the phone because I strongly believe he would request to speak to you.”
“Mmmh. I’ve been thinking about something,” he began, leaning back in his big leather chair and stared at me with those beautiful, grey, luminous orbs.
I gulped my fear but his eyes were easy to read. One thing I had quickly learnt when I began working here, was that his eyes were a tell.
I avoided trouble, getting mixed up with gossips and falling in with the wrong crowd. I couldn’t afford to lose my job any time soon. It paid very well and my mom and my younger sister were depending on me.
Mom had a lung failure condition.
My younger sister was still in college and depended on me financially to put her through. It was just us living together at my apartment in the city.
Recently, my mother’s condition had gotten worse but with the medication and treatment I was managing to pay for, she always pulled through and felt better again.
“How would you like to be my personal assistant and I’ll hire someone to fill your place?”
I was dumbfounded for a moment.
Me? As his personal assistant?
I would be honoured.
PA’s had a higher salary than the basic secretary and I couldn’t do both jobs forever so obviously I was going to pick the one with the higher income behind it.
It wasn’t just about the money though, I had the knowledge, skills and levels to be his Personal Assistant and that was what I had applied for at the very beginning but the position had already been filled, however since my resume was so impressive and captivating, Mr. Hollen didn’t want me to work anyway else but Hollen Tower so he hired me as his secretary.
I worked my tail off in high school and all throughout college. I hardly had time for boyfriends and dates and fun. My mom had the lung condition since the beginning of my high school year but it wasn’t that bad back then as it was now. She managed to work and she supported me in every way a child needed support from their parent. I never knew my dad and mom never talked about him much, she would only mention him when I asked about him but as I grew older, I saw the pain in her eyes every time so I stopped when I understood what he had done.
Bottom line, she was there for me so now it was my turn to be there for her. If I could make enough money, we could afford to get rid of her condition permanently.
“Thank you Mr. Hollen and I accept,” I said to him as I beamed a bright smile.
He nodded and gestured for me to leave his presence. He was a man of very few words, he only spoke to me when he was commanding and he hated repeating himself to people, even to his father and the women he dated.
Don’t get me started on those women he usually dated. He was always spotted with famous celebrities or they were frequently throwing themselves at him like prostitutes.
The last one he dated, he dumped her because she was annoying and nagging and always popped up at his office without notice. He hated those things in a woman and whenever he was done with them, he sent them white roses.
I don’t get why he does it. Roses are nice flowers so wouldn’t it just lead the women on even more?
I took my purse and changed into my flats and went to lunch. I always changed my heels when I left the office. I hated heels, they hurt my feet so much but Hollen Tower had a dress code requirement one must abide by or else one would be out on their ass and searching for another job without recommendation or references from the company.
As I walked out, Julia Starlet, a famous movie actress and the woman Mr. Hollen already dumped this morning, walked in.
NAF - RIDER SPOTLIGHT
Tumblr media
My name is Caroline Murphy and NAF have kindly asked me to write a short piece about myself for their Horse and Rider Spotlight! I am absolutely thrilled to be able to do this and talk about my wonder horse, my soul mate, Coco!
I am a disabled person who had to pull out of secondary school at 6th form, just before my A levels, with a debilitating condition which had very physical effects on my body as well as my mental health. I had just completed my AS levels and was set for a promising career in the arts at Sir Paul McCartney’s drama school, LIPA. I was just 17 and all of this was ripped from my hands as condition after condition took over my young body and left me completely bedridden for most of my twenties and thirties. After being bedbound for an entire decade I was left feeling as though I could not carry on with my life, I had been riding horses and ponies, from my Aunties welsh section to 17.3 hand thoroughbreds, since I could be held on the back as a tiny newborn baby and wanted to be able to do this every day of my life but with an extremely rare brain condition that only 1 in 100,000 people have AND which was blinding me permanently, could I?
I said to myself I would try one more time, I went to a hacking centre with a ménage and I tried one more time to sit on the back of a horse, pushing with all my energy to leave the sanctuary I had called bed for over 20 years of my life... I pushed with all of my might and I was up!!! Despite severe muscle waste I was sitting on a horse but could I stay on?! I tentatively squeezed my legs and I was off.... not off off but walking...., and then trotting! I couldn’t believe it I was riding with all that was wrong with me! I was borrowing the legs of this beautiful beastie. I wanted more!
I went back with renewed vigour and a thirst to really ride and there was this beautiful big white horse, they type dreams are made of, standing in the barn tacked up waiting for someone...., for me!!! She was known as “the scary horse” apparently left there by her owner who had lost her confidence on her, scared and lost this horse would spin and bolt, no one on the yard would ride her and she was rarely booked in for hacks. That made me want to ride her more, I felt a connection to this wild spirit immediately and couldn’t wait to make that connection a physical one by sharing our first ride.
I mounted the huge horse who I found out was called Coco, she was a 16.2 Irish draught mare, from Ireland but brought over to England and sold via dealer to one owner who lost confidence who sold her to the yard who then met me! I was one of her first rides and boy couldn’t I wait....
I slipped gently into the, she had been sitting with head very low and glum, dull eyed but wary and ready to spin on a six pence should anyone come close. She was pulled to the mounting block... as our bodies met she turned sharply to look at me and stopped, it was as though the world around us was on pause. I stroked her neck and spoke to her, “hello Coco! What a good girl you are!” I spoke to her about everything and she didn’t take her ears off me for one minute! The hack was for an hour through forest and woodland on Wenlock Edge and we regularly saw wildlife such as buzzards and deer that excited me every time but I could have seen a whole herd of deer that day and not taken my eyes off Coco for a second. She was captivating, I couldn’t tell who was more interested in who but we had the most incredible ride together, she listened to everything I asked of her though obviously she had only been hunted and asked to walk and run in a straight line, she was so keen to learn and please me I was in love. I really hadn’t want to own a horse with my disabilities but I wasn’t letting this unicorn, this horse of a lifetime, get away.
Months passed and our bond had become so strong that comments were made by all who saw us together, word had passed around the yard about how we worked so well together and it had to be said, even Mum who is terrified of horses had fallen in love with this noble steed! On a hack with my yard owner I muttered those fated words “what would you say if I asked to buy her please?” The silence fell and it felt like forever before he said “we asked your Mum last week if you’d like to loan her but of course, we haven’t bonded, you’d make the perfect owner for her!” I smiled a smile so big you could see it back at the yard several miles away but also felt a little sick that I’d ruined Mum’s surprise.... she was planning on loaning my beautiful Coco for me for Christmas, now I’d bought us a horse!!!! Oops!
Coco and I became owner and Mummy on the 1st of December 2018, I’d got everything for her, rugs, tack, Numnah in every colour at least twice, you name it, she was SPOILT! So much so we began to get bullied by other people on the yard for having so many nice things!!!
We enrolled Coco in the horse health programme with our vet and got them out immediately, I had suspected that Coco had something slightly wrong with her due to sometimes reacting to things as though they’d fallen from the sky and noises before seeing things. I was right, she was blind in her right eye! I HAD A BLIND HORSE, LIKE ME!!!
We were both visually impaired which brought us even closer together and we were inseparable. I knew how to handle Coco as I had learnt to cope with sightloss myself, we were PERFECT for each other. Just as I borrowed her wings as I rode, she borrowed my good eye as we walked the roads and manoeuvred objects and coped with high stress situations like tractors passing together. We were an unstoppable force.
In 2019 we spent the year learning side saddle, going to our first fun rides together, winning a fancy dress competition and even going drag hunting as I don’t want to hurt animals but wanted her to have a lovely run! What next I hear you cry?! Well..... that’s just it!!! Coco suffered badly from lameness due to her previous life so we moved to our fantastic new home mid 2019. We had received comments such as “she’s just a happy hack she doesn’t need any vet help”, whether she was a happy hack or an Olympian we would still help her with anything she needed, and we did! To date Coco has been insured and had treatment and surgery some covered and some exempt for:
flat feet - remedial farriery
Melanoma inside her right eye blinding her and detaching her retina
Melanoma on her left eyelid injected with mitomycin-c gel which will be lasered if and when small enough if it doesn’t shrink with the injections alone. Melanoma also found inside the eyeball on this side.
Melanoma under tail debulked with laser (40% so far) the rest will be removed with laser or mitomycin-c whichever is more successful
Melanoma found in the guttural pouch on left side
One diseased tooth 309 lower left to be removed soon by dental specialist
So she hasn’t had it easy has our girl! However... earlier this year we began our dream of becoming a pair of dancing diva and were taken on by our new coach Sir Lee Pearson CBE! What a man he is! I couldn’t believe it when he said yes as we have been talking about having lessons since the London Paralympics in 2012 but either I haven’t been well enough or I haven’t had a horse to ride and then along came this SO CALLED “spooky, scary, lose your confidence, only a happy hack, not worthy” ponio named Coco and she is absolutely loving it! She learns and takes in new information incredibly quickly, she had never seen the inside of a school and how to train before I rode her in the ménage and she is now doing shoulder ins, leg yields and some more advanced dressage moves which even I haven’t got the hang of yet! She’s going to need to sell me and get a better rider I think! I couldn’t be more proud of my little lady, at 13 I hope we have many more years together despite the fact she has been so unwell.
You can follow our story together and watch us grow at www.facebook.com/thebigirishgrey if you’d like to. I have to keep reminding myself it’s only been less an two years that I’ve owned this girl, she’s my horse of a lifetime and will be with me for whatever lifetime she has I can assure you that! We will grow old and blind together and be happy doing so!
Thank you for all of your support!
Lots of love from Caroline and Coco
Person Three
Third typed up conversation.
For me it’s like I don’t feel fully functional, like when I’m in a good patch it’s fine but when I’m in a bad dip I find it really hard to just do stuff that everybody seems to just be able to do just absolutely fine. So like getting out of the house can be hard, and like physically it’s my heart that is the thing that like really goes off when I’m in a bad place like I have really bad palpatations like I start blacking out and I can’t breathe, so I’ve got quite a physical I think form of anxiety and then I’ll start getting dizzy and feeling sick and then I’ll feel like I’m drowning. I have actually almost drowned before and it’s like the closest thing that I can think of that’s close to it like you just you can’t breathe it feels almost like all of my airways are full of cloth, and my whole body goes like really rigid and then I can’t move so I feel really like trapped in what ever situation it is that is causing me to become more anxious. It’s like being underwater as well sometimes like I can’t hear things properly like I can’t really like visually engage with anything and I feel like I’m sort of floating but I’m not. It feels like I’m buried but I can still move but I can’t really.
 I’ve had quite a few people say to me like it’s all in your head, it’s not a real thing, you can just talk yourself out of it. Especially when I went on medication actually that’s when people finally start to see it as being a real thing because like if you’ve got a virus or you’ve got like an infection and you say to somebody oh I think I’ve got a chest infection, they’ll be like oh ok well go to the doctors and get some antibiotics. But if you say to somebody I think I’m depressed they won’t be like oh go and see a mental health care professional, they’ll be like get over it you’re not depressed you’re just sad. You know it’s not real it’s not the same as having a disease or like a terminal condition. But like I think I always compare it to people who like when people don’t understand it, I try and it explain it in terms of chronic pain. Like I’ve had syatica for years and when people are like oh it’s not a real condition I’ll be like just because you can’t like you know it’s not like I’m missing a leg, because you can’t see it directly it doesn’t mean it’s not real. And I’m like well think about people that have a chronic pain disorder, you can’t see that they’re in pain but they are and as soon as you put it in an actual like medical, physical medical term for people it’s like they’re suddenly like oh maybe it is real then. But they can’t just accept it like I’ve had really negative responses from people like recently it’s happened where they’ve just been like you know it’s just like a label that you’ve given yourself, you’re choosing to be like this, you’re not being proactive about it. But actually you know I’ve been to like therapy, I was almost hospitalised at one point, I’m on antidepressants, I’m on antianxiety medication like and because it’s not like they’re seeing me physically getting better, they can’t accept that I am actually doing something about it. When I talk to other people who’ve got mental illnesses as well because we’re not taught properly especially when we’re younger like that everybody’s way of dealing with it is different. I’ve spoken to some people who’ve been like you’re on antidepressants like I just go to councilling and it’s because like everybody is so misinformed and I think people see it as being a weakness as well. Like I understand that everybody has a different experience of it but people who have it and have processed it in a very different way because they’ve been made to feel like they’ve just got to man up and suck it up, I think it can be quite hard to see eye to eye with them even though you’re in exactly the same position almost. Which I think is really weird because if you had two people with the flu, they’d both be like oh I’m gunna buy some lemsip I feel like shit what about you and they’ll be like yeah I’m gunna buy some lemsip I feel like shit like I think because it’s so wildly complex I think that people can’t appreciate different people’s experiences of it fully because we’re never taught just how different it can be for other people.
I think for me it was control, cos my anxiety makes me feel really out of control of my life, I will be having an alright day and just suddenly I’d be like I’ve got no money, this is happening, this is happening, I’ve got deadlines, I’ve got all of these things and I feel like I’m spiralling like when I’m getting better it’s like when straws are falling through your hands and you start catching them again. The way that I would say is the closest to how it feels is if I was hanging off the edge of a building at my lowest point and getting better is like getting my grip back on the railings. I suddenly feel like, it will happen quite quickly actually like I will suddenly feel like really good in myself and strong and I will get this euphoric period for a couple of days maybe a week where I will be like I’m unstoppable, everything is great, my life is amazing, I can’t believe I ever felt that bad like what’s going on. Cos I have a very like peak and troth sort of experience, so when I’m on the way up again, I feel I can run a marathon it just suddenly, like I will get all of this energy coming back into me, I’ll start seeing things in such a positive light again and I’ll start getting excited about the future. It’s like all of a sudden a vacuum has been opened up and all of this goodness comes back into me and I feel like I’ve got a grip like I’ve really got my shit together and I’ll be like yes, right, it’s happening, I’m coming back up, everything’s fine, I’ve beaten the bad bit maybe this will be the end, maybe this time it will be better. The more I’ve dealt with it, I now have this little thing in the back of mind that’s like just be ready because it’s probably going to happen again , you will probably go back down, so it sort of grounds me almost. I used to, I had it really badly when I first went on my medication, I was like cracked out for like a month cos I was so hyperactive, I couldn’t concentrate because I felt so good because my serotonin levels were going like up and up and up and my body couldn’t keep track of it. Now I’ve learnt to sort of reign that in a bit so that I don’t burn myself out when I’m in a good patch, cos I used to do that really badly, like really go ham for when I had two weeks of feeling great then the crash would be so much worse because I’d been like so high and so like yes everything’s fine, my life is amazing and then suddenly be on this cliff edge and just drop. So I think it’s like being on the upwards bit of a rollercoaster so I can feel it cranking me up and I’d be like yes omg I’m getting to the top it’s going to be amazing but in the back of my mind I know there’s going to be that vertical drop waiting for me almost so I’ve sort of trained myself to not be too excited when I stop feeling like shit. I’ll be like oh cool I’m gunna have a good couple of weeks I should probably try and get as much done as I can and then I’ll be like just remember it’s coming you’re not there yet. I think I’m sort of weary now when I am feeling good, like I still enjoy it and make the most of it but there is a bit in the back of my mind that’s like it’s coming this isn’t gunna last.
I think it’s made me a lot more resilient to generally everything in even though I get really like bogged down because I’ve been through so much with it and it’s been so up and down, it’s made me quite hard. Not in a sort of mean way but it’s made me a lot more sort of tough and I’ll handle things a lot better than I did before. Even before I was diagnosed and before I was symptomatic I used to sort of be pathetic about things and used to let people push me around and stuff but because I’ve given myself such a hard time like it’s made me quite like resilient about other hard times that I’ve experienced since being diagnosed and getting on top of it. So if I’ve got a deadline, instead of being like omg like I can’t do this, I’ll be like you have to do it you’ve come all the way from the very edge, this is nothing. It’s made me, like in a weird way even though I can feel really not strong sometimes on a whole I think it has me me like a much stronger person and that is something that has sort of enabled me to like be there for people who are going through the same things but like at different stages of it. Recently somebody who I’m really close to was like you know I think I might be depressed, it’s gone past like I’m just sad what do I do and I was like this is your action plan, this is what I did, so it may not be what you need  but I find that it makes me quite efficient at helping people who are in a similar situation cos I just floated around for so long and like I wish that there had been somebody there that I could have been like help me what do I do?
So now if somebody mentions that they’ve felt really bad for two weeks I’ll be like has it just been two weeks or have you felt like this for longer talk to me about it and I can try and help. You know my friend who came and spoke to me about it, I was like are you going to go to the doctors if you’ve felt like this for a month, from what I’ve experienced it sounds like you are, just go, just be honest, you’ll get it sorted out, you’ll work out what’s best for you. This is what worked for me, this has worked for some other people I know like you’ve got this you will be fine and I think that’s one of the biggest things that its done for me as well is just knowing that if I see somebody who’s like as bad as I was, I know that I have, I’m in a position where I feel capable of not interviening but stepping up and being like you know I can see that somethings not right, you’re not on your own let me be here for you and I think because I had so much going on in my head it’s also helped me mentally organise things. Like strategic in the way I think now because I got so used to putting things in little boxes and being like you can stay over there for today, it’s made me stress manage so much better as well, like if there’s external things because I’ve dealt with myself for so long now if there’s something like externally stressful, I can just be like right well that goes here and that goes over there for today and I’ll bring this one out and sort this one out for today and like in two weeks I can sort that one out because that’s not important right now. It’s made me quite good at juggling I think.
Unstoppable Confidence
In the second week of March I joined Mindvalley Academy. It’s an online school that allow us to create remarkable transformations in all areas of our lives. They teach many things we never get in school.
On the day I joined their newsletter, they offered me 5 days free course with Marisa Peer named Unstoppable Confidence. I immediately signed up to that free course. FYI, Marisa Peer is the best British hypnotherapist who has worked with the UK Royal Family. I was so happy when they offered a free course with her because as I know, one-on-one sessions with Marisa Peer alone is expensive even just for an hour.
Now I would like to share what I’ve learnt with her. I believe it will be useful for you too.
On the first day she talked about Recognise and Overcome Low Self-Esteem. She explained the difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem. So, low self-esteem is linked to how you feel about yourself and the worst thing to do is to wait for others to make you happy. While high self-esteem is about liking yourself, having high self-confidence and it is linked to how much you like you. How much you like you will directly affect how other people like you. She also taught about affirmations that we have to say it more often by putting together the thumb and the index finger of your left hand so it will look like an Okay symbol then make the same thing to the fingers of your right hand but make it inside the circle of the left hand’s Okay symbol. This is how it looks like:
Tumblr media
Those are the affirmations. Repeat every sentence twice when you say it.
She also taught me to say “I am good at....” (eventhough it’s not true)
For instance, you can say “I am good at writing” eventhough you ain’t a good writer.
Because your mind does not care if you tell it right or wrong, true or false, healthy or unhealthy. Your body and mind does what you tell it to do.
The Language of Self-Confidence was the topic of the second day. People who have self-confidence always say positive words and use positive language.
Instead of saying “I am nervous” try to change it becomes “I am excited”.
Instead of saying “This is a nightmare” try to change it becomes “This is a challenge”.
Instead of saying “This is a disaster” try to change it becomes “This is solvable”.
Here are some positive sentences that we have to use more often:
I’m making it happen.
I will get ...
I will make it happen.
This feels right.
I can do it.
It’s okay I can deal with it.
This is interesting. I can do it.
I’m ready.
I’m okay.
It’s an opportunity.
I have phenomenal/amazing/extraordinary coping skills.
When you change your language, you change your reality and it becomes who you are.
The third day she talked about The Power of Praise and Self-Praise. Here is what I’ve learnt about this topic.
People often wait to be praised by others. Actually this is absolutely wrong as you can lack of confidence if you’re always waiting for someone to praise you or praise your work. Because you need you to praise you. Your own praise is more important. It is definitely not arrogant when you praise yourself. So, whatever you want to hear, you say it everyday to yourself.
For example, you can praise yourself by saying:
I am the best.
I am the greatest.
I am a great artist.
I am a great writer.
My masterpiece is phenomenal. Everyone likes it.
Remember,  the way you believe in you is praise. You need to hear about it from yourself first. So you won’t be lack of confidence. It will make you feel that you are enough or you will always have enough.
Not Letting In Rejection became the topic on the next day. We may feel bad when someone rejects us or say something mean towards us. But actually the only person who has the power to reject us is us. Nobody can reject us without our permissions.
Therefore when someone said something mean to you, just simply replied “Thank you for sharing that.” or “Why are you telling me that, are you trying to hurt my feelings?”
You get to choose everyday to let it in or not. Just be bulletproof against rejection. Don’t be someone who rejects others as well. Try to stop criticizing other people and stop criticizing yourself. Because superior people, they will praise others and themselves. People who feel inadequate and inferior, they will criticize.
Ultimately, on the fifth day Marisa Peer taught about The Fear of Being Judged. Me personally liked this final topic. Honestly, this thing often makes me feel insecure. I do too care with others’ opinions and it made me have the fear of being judged. I thanked her a lot because she gave people who joined this course a free hypnotheraphy for the fear of being judged.
As I remember, she asked me to imagine a house where I’ve ever lived in. Then I imagined my hostparents’ house in Italy. I had to go inside my bedroom and I sat on my bed. In my room there was my Italian Mom as well. Marisa also asked me to imagine myself as a little girl. Then that little girl went out and met people who ever judged her and said something mean towards her back then. Afterward, the little girl met people who ever said something nice about her and then I had to remember the things that made that little girl happy. The little girl finally went to the living room in that house. Next, I imagined myself came to that little girl and I gave her a tight hug and said, “You are wonderful, smart, and beautiful. The only person who can judge you is me. No one can judge you. Because they don’t know anything about you. They don’t have any qualifications to do that towards you.” After that, I visualized I came back to my current house and brought the little girl with me. And then I opened up my eyes and came back to the reality.
Thus, something that you have to remember, the only person who can judge you is you.
After I’ve learnt this Unstoppable Confidence course, I started to build my own self-confidence and believe in myself. Because I’m responsible for building my own confidence and to have high self-esteem.
Okay guys, that’s all. I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Baci e abbracci,
Love you to the moon and back...
Tumblr media
Hi baby,
Your favorite uncle is here. TEN DAYS! Ten days before you are born, I am thinking about the important role I will play in your life! I already love you more than I could ever explain, and I wanted to write you a letter in case you ever wonder how much I love you or what commitments I have made to you…
I promise to be the “Cool” Uncle and the accountable uncle. You want to eat junk food, watch movies, go to the park, and be a kid, I’m your man! I’m technically an adult, even though I look like a teenager, but I’m also a complete goofball. So, I know, we’ll have fun together! We’re going to make memories that you and I will have for the rest of our lives. Just the two of us! But, I also promise to talk some sense into you if need be. I want you to have the most amazing, fulfilling life!
You are yet to be born but you are already the most loved baby that I know… and that’s only counting how much I know that I love you. If you add in everyone else who loves you, then you are simply the most loved person in the whole of the entire world. I promise it’s true! And it will be true for the rest of your life. I want to start off by saying that I haven’t even met you yet and I already love you more than anything that I have ever loved. I think it has to do with the fact that you are the spawn of my elder sister. You are my blood! My blood is running through your veins as your blood is running through mine. I have a connection with you that is sacred to me and belongs to me only! Water’s sweet but blood is thicker.
I promise we’ll have a genuine relationship. I don’t care if I live across the world, we’ll have a special relationship because I won’t be an absentee uncle! I am going to be present in your life. You will know my face and name! You will get so excited when your mom or dad tells you I am coming to see you (I’ll be even more excited, guaranteed). I promise I’ll nurture our relationship from the day you are born. Although, it might be a completely one-sided relationship for a little bit, I am all in. You can count on me!
I promise you can tell me anything. You can trust me little one! I cannot wait to hear about your first crush, first mistake, first everything. I hope and pray by the time all of this happens (many years from now) that you feel comfortable enough to confide in me! I want you to always know that I will respect what you tell me, and as long as it isn’t harmful to you or anyone else, I will be there to listen and keep your secrets.
Here, before you have even entered fully into your world, I feel like I must share with you some very important truths about you. These are the things I know, with absolute certainty, about you already:
 The first, and probably the single most important thing I need you to know, is that you have been blessed with two of the most incredible people as your parents.
Let’s go back talking about my elder sister. You will know her as some variation of “Mom” while I know her as the idiot that always made fun of me growing up, and made me her dog when she forced me to play ‘House’ with her. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! She is my best friend, my first hero, my first idol, the one that I look up to the most and have strived to be like for my whole life. She will be a better mother to you than you could have ever possibly wished for and you are so lucky to have her! If you ever happen to forget that, I promise that I will always remind you. After I take you out for ice cream and sympathetically listen to you complain about her first, of course! As she has taught me, she will teach you so many wonderful things; like what it means to be strong, independent, how to be kind to everyone, not to back down when you believe in something, how to cheer the loudest at a cricket match, the importance of a handmade card, that good friends are irreplaceable, and that some people don’t deserve your time, to hate dogs, how to take charge, and the importance of family. I hope you get her sense of humor, he smile, her love for shoes and for her sake, I hope you like to sleep in. Those last two things will drive your father crazy! Your sister and I spent a majority of our childhood outside with our cousins – your ‘Masis’ and ‘Mamas’. (I’d only make it so far while playing before I started crying and had to be rescued by my mom, your Grandmother, but we’ll discuss her later). I hope for your sake and my own that you are encouraged to try sports! Kids these days spend most of their time inside playing video games and I don’t want that to happen with you. Good news is, is that they are having so much of sports every year, so I’m going to train you to be the best damn sportsperson there ever was. Besides Adam Gilchrist. And Saina Nehwal! But I digress… back to your Mom. I know there are going to be times when you “hate” her, but I promise you that she is doing everything for a reason! You should see the way her face lights up when she talks about you. You have become the best part of her life and you haven’t even made your grand entrance! Your mother has been my best friend from day one and is one of the hardest working women that I know. Don’t be too hard on her. When she chases your ‘friends’ off, it’s because she knows they don’t deserve you. And for the most part, they don’t, but you will find a keeper one day. Just like my mom found my dad, and like your dad found your mom!
 Speaking of your father, let’s talk about him next. I know your father as ‘Kush’. I think that most of the world knows him as Kush, except for the very few family members that he allows to call him Bittoo. He is someone that I now count to be one of my best friends! As I have gotten to know him more and more over the past few years, I have learnt to love him as a brother and trust him completely with my sister. I am now trusting him to raise you and in this I do not hesitate! He is an amazing person and I could not have dreamt up a better person to be my sister’s husband and your dad. What I love and respect most about him is how much he loves your mother. To see the way, he cares for her is the most beautiful thing and I hope you are always able to cherish that! He too will teach you many things: How to care for others, what it means to have an open home, that girls can wear other colors than Pink, to keep your heart open, to always put your family first and how to put up with your in-laws someday. I hope you get his work ethic, his adventurous spirit, and for his sake, I hope you are not a morning person! Your father has been one of the best things to have ever happened to your mother! And coming from me, that says a lot. Growing up, I disliked most of your mother’s friends! There was never anyone good enough for her until your father decided to walk into her life. I’m not exactly sure the whole back story of their relationship and I probably don’t want to know it, but all I do know is that they met in their college and it all went from there! Your father keeps your mother in line, and that’s what she needs. I also knew he was a keeper when he asked for second helpings of dinner. Our family likes to eat, our family likes to talk, and our family is loud! You get that from both sides. Your dad is going to be the best dad, who I know for a fact is going to make you watch movies every night! I’m also positive you are going to come out of the womb already hating Shahrukh Khan (sorry AnniMasi) and you can thank him for that.
 Together, your parents make an unstoppable team. They will show you what it means to compromise, how to argue without fighting, the value of an apology, how much can be said with a hug, to always help your friends out, to get to a meeting on time, and to always take care of your brother. Well… you don’t have a brother yet, but if someday you do find yourself having to be an older sibling, I hope you take after your mom. She was is the absolute best big sister and your dad has proven himself to be an amazing older brother, so you got two very good examples in them!
I love your parents very much and ever since I’ve found out that they were having a baby, all the love that I have for them has been multiplied exponentially towards you, kiddo. I am already imagining all the parties that we’ll have where I can feed you Pizza, Popcorn, and candy, keep you up all night playing games and telling stories. I can’t wait to take you on shopping trips to buy you all the things your parents told you that you couldn’t have.
I promise to support your mom and dad in any way that I can because they are going to be the ones you rely on the most. I promise to be someone to rant to when your mom is frustrated, so she doesn’t say anything to you that she regrets! I promise to kidnap your dad and make him get out from the house to keep him from going stir-crazy. I promise to tell you how amazing your parents are and how they are two of the most amazing people in my life! I promise to love your family wholeheartedly and do everything in my power to make sure all three (maybe more one day) of you see the best versions of each other.
 Let’s talk about your grandmother. The woman that I’m lucky to call my mother! She’s a lady who’s known for her brown eyes, her loud voice, distinctive laugh, and most importantly, her ginormous loving and giving heart. Your ‘Nani’ (if you choose to call her), is the most selfless person I have ever met. I think about her and all the things that she has done for me and everyone that surrounds her, and it literally makes you teary eyed. I have no idea where I would be without this woman, and I don’t want to find out! Your grandmother is going to become one of your best friends. I am so excited to see the relationship that you build with her, knowing that it is going to be built around nothing but love, kindness, respect and honesty! All things that she taught me and your mother growing up. One thing I need to tell you, is that she is the biggest Bollywood fan I have ever come across, and I’m sure she will be the first one to take you to the theater when you are old. I’m sure if she had it her way, the Bollywood jingles would be blasting in the background in your delivery room! All I want you to know, is that your grandmother is going to be one of the best parts of your life and I want you to make sure you cherish every moment you have with her.
 The next person I want to talk to you is about your grandfather, my dad. The relationship that your mother and I have with your grandfather is unique to most. Growing up, he was the dad who was always taking us outside in the evening, regardless if he had been working all day long! He never missed a single event in our school for that matter. Even if it was a boring drawing competition that we all know he wasn’t interested in! He is a good sport about everything. I know for a fact, he’s going to be the same with you! I hope that you have a relationship with your grandfather like I had with mine. “Nana” or whatever you decide to call him, is going to think the world revolves around you and he is going to treat you like the world’s most royal kid. Your grandfather is going to do all he can to make quite certain that you have everything that you need and is going to spoil you rotten! Most importantly, he’s going to love you to pieces. Cherish every single moment you have with him, too!
 Well, dear kiddo, these are just a few of the exceptional people that are going to be constants in your life, and there are MANY MANY more people who love you just as much as I do. You are coming into a very scary world, but just know that you are going to be surrounded by loving, caring, honest and extraordinary people. There’s no one out there who will love you like your Uncle does. I could go on. But I won’t. I will leave you with a promise, Kid, a very sincere promise that is written on my heart, and it is this: I will always be here for you. I will always love you unconditionally and will do absolutely anything for you! You are my beloved sister’s child, the blood of my blood, and the heart of my heart! I love you, even now, while you are yet in your mother’s womb, I love you absolutely and completely and I always, always will.
I promise to constantly lift you up and instill an assurance in yourself that no one can alter. I promise to be your Champion (like your aunt 😉) and cheer you on through every different experience. I promise to be a role model. I promise to make sure you stay healthy and active! I promise to have your back always. I promise to give you advice whenever you ask! I promise to make sure you get kisses from puppies, so you love and respect animals as you grow up (unlike your mom). I promise to give the best hugs and cuddles! I promise to protect you. I promise to be kind and caring to you! I promise to never stop telling you to chase your dreams. I promise to be the very best version of myself for you!
Most importantly, I promise to love you, unconditionally. I will show my love for you through my actions and words! You won’t ever doubt how much I love you and nothing you say or do will ever make me love you any less. Love is the foundation of every family, and there is just a ridiculous amount of love in our family – you will probably feel smothered at times by how much you are loved – but I can promise you will never feel unloved. You will grow up being the most loved child in history!
I cannot wait to meet you and hold you in my arms!
 I love you to the moon and back, Uncle [insert whatever name you choose to call me]
Interview with Gisma Muon | NAATH Clothing
-What & Who is your brand?
A: NAATH is a fashion label launched in 2016.
 -What is your typical day when running a brand like yours?
A: Well, my typical day is so jam packed. It starts the night before, I pack the orders and print out barcodes to stick on to the mail satchels and get them ready to be picked up the following morning for delivery. As the day proceeds, I update social media contents and get ready to work an 8 hour shift. On a weekend, same goes with the day to day routine of preparing orders, but also, planning a shoot. Social media content is very important so I usually allocate every Sunday , the whole day, to getting creative and collaborative and creating some content for social media.
 -In a brief description, how do you approach the business side of fashion when you first started?
A: Well, when I started it was and still is, all managed and run by me. From the bookkeeping to the logistics, I sleep, wake to, eat and breath the business. Being a small business it's manageable, as it grows, so will the number of people needed to manage it.
 -We ask this questions to every brand owner. What is the biggest factor when you come up with a new idea for your brand?
A: Well, for me, the biggest factor would be to see if it has been done before. Often I'd be up late at night and bam! An idea comes to mind, a set fabric and all, then I do a quick research and find it has already been done. Other factors are if it's practical and if it falls in line with what our target market would wear or even try on.
 -How do you measure your customer satisfaction?
A: At this stage, I measure customer satisfaction through their interaction with our Instagram page, often customers stay following the page, they would comment or direct message me or tag us in pictures. Another way I measure customer satisfactionis through repeat purchases.
  -As the owner, do you see yourself more on the design side or more on the business side? Or is it pretty much balanced?
A: I definitely see myself on the design side more so than the business. I'm a creative, I get my high from creating; whether it be shooting social media content or designing pieces. However, I'm slowly learning to merge with the business side and try to create a healthy balance of the two.
 -Were there any setbacks to getting your label off the ground? How did you overcome that?
A: The one major setback when getting the label off the ground is the finance, I over came that by working full time and deferring my studies.
 -Who are your target consumers & how do you get them to look at your products? The target consumer is what I call "NAATH girls", they are fashion conscious women who are bold, confident and an out going social butterflies. The ideal Naath girl is a modern day flamboyant fun girl. She has a colourful personality but a neutral wardrobe. Dresses in a lot of black. Not a big fan of prints and is into minimalism, fine line, creative cuts and a clean finish.
A: I attract them through collaborating with bloggers who I would call the ideal NAATH girl, typically she'd have a following that have similar taste.
 -Obviously you created a unique brand, we would like to know if you collaborated with anyone to help you produce such a phenomenal set of collections?
A: I haven't collaborated with anyone, all is done on my own.
 -How would you describe yourself as a person & artist?
A: I like to see myself an open minded, easy going, chilled and a positive person. I'm quiet because I like to observe and spend a lot of time in my head. I'm very hard
on myself which works out perfectly because that intern pushes me to work harder and do my best.
 -What made you so interested in becoming a fashion designer & brand owner?
A: Growing up I've always been interested in fashion, I use to hand sew clothes for my barbie dolls back in Africa, and as I grew up, I patched up and took in my own clothes, once I got high school and learnt how to use a sewing machine I was unstoppable! I didn't know a thing about making patterns but I knew I wanted to clothes. I was freelance styling on the side and that inspired me and gave me the confidence to start. Styling was like a gateway, I met some really cool young creative people and a great mentor and designer, Demian Renucci.
  -What is the significants of your brand name? Why did you choose to go with the name you chose?
A: Coming up with a brand name, I mustsay, was the hardest part.
I wanted something that had a lot of depth and meaning to me but didn't box me in with a name that was too feminine , in case I wanted to later pursue men's wear. My father was the majorsupporter, we're really close, so when it came to naming it I did it for him, the name simply is the name of a Nilotic tribe in South Sudan, to pay homage to where I'm from.
 -Do you have a favourite designer who inspires you? Why is that?
A: Apart from the major fashion houses, my favourite designer right now is LaQuan Smith. He portrays sexy through the eyes of the millennial; I love the high slits and his choice of fabric and daring cuts.
 -What story are you trying to covey through your design skills ?
A: The story that I try to portray the story of the woman, the many facets of the woman depending on how they feel and mental state. I do this by creating a piece for the modest, the "over the top" confident and daring, the young and the mature. I create pieces that can interchange and build outfits in a way that flatters different body types and moods.
 -Did you ever see yourself to be so successful in establishing a known brand?
A: I still don't identify or see myself as successful, I made a move, and still in the process. I do see myself being successful in the future, but as for the present, I appreciate the process and will continue to learn and create.
 -Tell me about your latest collection. What was your vision when you created it?
A: The first collection Madam Noir is an all black, simple evening wear that's sexy, elegant and edgy. It's inspired by my hard working modern day girl who still likes to socialise and party. The looks can interchange from day to night looks depending on how it's styled. The vision I had was pretty much of looks that can be worn straight out of the office to Friday night drinks with the girls by simply changing one piece.
 -To be a designer, you had to undergo a lot of struggles. What was the most difficult obstacle for you when putting together your collection? -If you could showcase your designs anywhere in the world, where would you start and why?
A: Well, the main struggle was definitely financing the dream, I was a full time uni student and worked part time as an assistant nurse, luckily I already had savings strictly for starting the business. Another difficulty I had was time and energy, I had so much packed into my day, so I deferred uni for a year and a semester to give me that extra time to focus.
  -If you could showcase your designs anywhere in the world, where would you start and why?
A: I would love to showcase in New York, its full of pop stars, sports stars and influencers, impeccable street fashion influenced by the black culture and overall a vibe that I'd love to be a part of.
 Who excites you the most (Celebrity) & why?
A: I absolutely LOVE Janelle Monae, she has a signature style that's all her own. She wears a lot of monochrome but leans more towards black, fitted suits and strong designs, she wears a lot of creative cuts and bold colours and She's definitely a risk taker. Every music red carpet event, she's the first person who's outfit I want to see. She does modest and sexy all in one and does it perfectly. My life will be complete the day she dresses in a NAATH outfit.
 -How is your brand different from any other designer brands?
A: Well, for starters, the whole collection and the one to follow will be black. It boasts a simple designs alongside creative cut elements that make it edgy and
different. It'd modest but revealing all at once. I don't like to follow the trends, I aim to be trendsetter in the future.
 -What are your world-dominating goals?
A: My ultimate goal as a designer is to become a worldwide recognised household name, to be recognised as one of Australia's greatest. My world dominating goal is to be the Go to label when you're thinking of wearing all black.
