Upcoming Blog Thing

So I'm currently in the process of making a sideblog-for-a-sideblog for Reasons for Hope.

The idea is to use it to post mostly links/info on direct action (how to's, petitions, official government calls for comment on proposed policies, protests, info about cool things other activists are doing, etc. etc.) that doesn't fit on a good news blog. Plus informational/awareness posts, and my own activism and thoughts and takes about things that sometimes really, really do not belong on a good news blog. Or that half belong on a good news blog and half really don't, and the like.

The idea is also to create an official "format" for submissions so that people can send in posts without me having to take the time/spoons to make new posts out of ppl's asks and dms (this takes sooo much time sometimes). Then, if successful, do a similar thing for submissions on Reasons for Hope, bc I do want to make posts about lots of things ppl send me, but it would be way too much to do myself all the time.

I'd still be verifying everything and applying editorial standards, in both cases. I actually already wrote up most of an editorial standards policy for the new sideblog, too. It would include verifying and listing the sources and dates for everything, at a minimum.

I've been thinking about going ahead and doing this for quite a while now, but I finally decided I needed to go for it because uh. I just found out about something absolutely, completely fucked up that happened to my grandparents (and a lot of other people). And while I am planning to get involved in organizing about it in real life around the relevant issues (or at least flyer the shit out of relevant neighborhoods), I really need to be able to use what platform I have to talk about this - along with other issues - so I have somewhere to channel my rage and grief into activism

(You will hear more about what happened when the sideblog goes up, if you want to see know. For now, let's just say that it's been a really intense 48 hours.)

Also you know I actually have a small-to-moderate platform here and that's a hell of a lot more ability to reach people than I tend to have in person, esp with ~life~ and ~working~ and my disability shit

So yeah, heads up you have that to look forward to (if you want to engage). And there will be unique tags to filter for people who want to see the links to actions and organizing info without seeing the info about fucked up stuff.

Because I am firmly of the opinion that people can and should be able to engage with that kind of content only where and when they feel up for it, if they want, and especially if they're really struggling with spiraling over the state of things.

Anyway, let me know in the notes if there's anything you would particularly like to see from the upcoming sideblog. (I make no promises but would value information on this!) And if you have any thoughts on what I should call it because I haven't been able to figure out something satisfying yet.

I'm excited to finish writing Chapter 21 because there are only 7 days left until Buck and Eddie get married.

For anyone who hasn't read Chapter 20, here's a brief overview: Eddie completed his Paramedic Certification Course and he started planning a surprise for their wedding evening, night and the morning after. Buck asked his bio dad if they could meet in-person while they're in London. Eddie and Buck had an important early morning conversation about the way they'll make decisions for their family. They went to the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles with their two witnesses and now they have all the legalized documents they'll need to get married in Rome. Also, they tied up a lot of loose ends by verifying their 'To Do' Lists along with reviewing all of their documents.

Buck and Eddie will tie the knot before Christmas 2023 but they are NOT getting married in the U.S. and they won't have a wedding ceremony until May 2024. They've revealed their relationship, their engagement and the fact that they're going to Europe to their found family during the 118's Thanksgiving dinner (Chapter 17), to Eddie's parents, his sisters, his abuela and Tia Pepa (Chapter 18) and Buck told the Buckley parents he's getting married and that he has a son (Chapter 19). Only three people know they're getting married in 7 days and they are Chris, Carla and Malone. They told Carla and Malone (Chapter 19) because they asked them to be their witnesses at the Italian Consulate and they told Chris (Chapter 20) that evening after they got the "Atto Notorio" (Declaration) signed but no one else knows.

Now that Buck and Eddie have their signed Declaration and everything else is in place, will they be able to leave Los Angeles Friday afternoon headed to Rome, Italy without anyone else finding out they're getting married in Chapter 21?

He lifts his hands, cups both of Buck’s cheeks and searches his eyes to see if he can get him to look at him.

He doesn’t want to startle him, so he gently rubs his thumbs across both of his cheeks and says, "My love, I need you to breathe!"

Chapter 7 - After Buck’s mental breakdown, Eddie has his back the same way Buck had his when he had his own breakdown more than a year ago. Additionally, the universe screams at them for what appears to be the one hundredth time so Buck can realize he doesn’t have to ‘find it’ because he already ‘made it’ and Eddie’s reminded tomorrow isn’t promised and he doesn’t have to die alone if he doesn’t want to.

Chapter 11 - A “virga” or dry thunderstorm is in the forecast but once the rain starts, the thunderstorm happening outside won’t be able to match the storm brewing inside between Buck and Eddie. Chapter 17 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to departing Los Angeles for their international adventure, a moment in time will remind them; life is fragile, tomorrow isn’t promised and every second of everyday should be cherished because everything can change in an instant. The result of that realization will cause them to hold onto each other even more.

Chapter 18 - As Buck, Eddie and Chris prepare for family gatherings before and during the Thanksgiving holiday, the “Santa Ana Winds” start to blow and all sorts of expected and unexpected familial drama ensues.

Chapter 19 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to their wedding day, the universe begins to align everything so that some of their parent and children's relationships are strengthened while others come to an abrupt end.

Chapter 20 - With only 14 days remaining until Buck, Eddie and Chris depart Los Angeles, CA traveling to Rome, Italy, for their first family adventure, an early morning conversation about “tying up loose ends” helps Buck and Eddie realize there are still several things left unfinished on their ‘To Do’ lists. The question is will there be enough time to complete all of them?

Addressing some *Terrible* Jess Defense

I'm very aware that I have my detractors when I tell the truth about who Jess is and what she really does. I expected that to happen because before I even started this blog I knew the general fandom mentality was either worship Jess like she's a Goddess or keep your mouth shut. The state of affairs on that is still very much the same, as people continue to be unable to post what they want about her and that's why this blog exists.

However, I was recently reading a post on a blog that seems to only exist to "debunk" mine, and some of the things they said were straight up ignorant. Talk about grasping at straws. I didn't ever want to have to address this but then it made me realize that maybe I'm not being clear enough about what my point is (even though everyone else seems to have no trouble grasping the concept of this blog) so here we go.

This post specifically from this one blog is using wildly out of date information to support Jess as a "business woman" now.

There was never a point where I said she didn't work for these places but her role in what she did is very unclear. Also, the fact that you can find her bouncing around from place to place at several organizations with high-profile titles for a few years is a huge red flag of incompetence. It seems like every single day I find another place she worked as a "senior officer" or "director" or some such title and then moved on to the next place.

I also found evidence of her attempting to poach clients (or outright lying about doing so). Do you know why? If you look at her website of people she's claimed to "currently" and "previously" manage, there's absolutely no proof anywhere that this is the case.

Is this other blog aware that you can look up not only who currently manages certain celebrities but who also managed them in the past? I've gone through history of management for MGK and there's not one mention of her name or her company managing him at any point. Currently, he's not managed by her at all. The same goes with Millie MacKintosh who is still handled by Donna Management. Jess never had her as a client directly, she just happened to be one of the clients at a place where Jess worked.

As for this wildly inaccurate statement (and I quote):

Jess role likely does not require her to always be on set. Have you ever met a CEO or president of a company? They are never in the office.

They aren't accounting for several factors here. Jess Moloney Management only has one employee, which is Jess Moloney. She's not overseeing a whole bunch of employees. Also her office isn't even in the US and she never fucking visits it. Not to mention the fact that Jess hasn't updated her website since 2019. Is she just too overrun with clients to do that?

Seems to me that if you're the only employee of the business you run that's successful you'd also want to update your website and keep it as accurate as possible for potential clients who may be reaching out to you. Jess also doesn't provide any examples of any work she's done nor does she have a portfolio, photographs, or verifiable means of discerning that she knows half of the people that she lists having as clients.

Under past and present clients she lists Vivienne Westwood as someone *she represented*. No. That's not what happened. She worked for Vivienne Westwood, not the other way around. Something you even said in your own post and then contradicted. Vivienne was never a client of Jess, she happened to work for the woman, didn't even get close to her, and then was involved in a plagiarism scandal so badly that it cost her her job and she had to move on to Donna Management. Another thing you completely missed I suppose.

Go ahead and try to find any proof whatsoever that Jess ever managed most of these people, by herself, outside of when she worked with a team of people at a successful company. You won't find it.

Furthermore, your "proof" of her being thanked in the NYT article "on the front page" isn't true either. She's not mentioned in that article anywhere. She doesn't even say she is. She's just bragging about Renell being part of it.

Jess Moloney is a woman who has worked to build up her career in managing creative projects, and it is clear she has been successful in her own right.

Jess Moloney, in the past (and please note that every single one of their sources is years old, literally dating back to 2017 at some points) did do some things that she greatly exaggerated into job opportunities and roles she clearly couldn't handle causing her to bounce from place to place until she got to where she is now. Which is doing nothing.

I know you like to claim that Jess is the CEO of...some huge company (she's not) but she's working in a public-facing job (allegedly, according to you). This is not a job you can do sitting at home by yourself. Oh and by the way, Ice Studios has no physical location/office/studio or anything like that. Look it up. There is no place that it even exists. There's also no proof she's done anything for this business other than "promote" it (badly) by stealing photos she didn't take and crediting them to the people who did take them (who rarely thank her, tag her, comment, like, or acknowledge that she exists).

Then of course we have the fact that you refuse to address the recent issue of Ice Studios selling out a bunch of merchandise and immediately shutting down their website only days later which is a huge red flag and indicates a scam. They continue to advertise products that have never been for sale on their website (for some reason) and they do not address people who are asking how to buy the merchandise. They also falsely represent the products they sell in their advertisements, and the TOS on their website (before it shut down) was a nightmare of legal speak explaining how they can basically scam you and you can't do anything about it. They don't even have a return policy for their clothing. Their shop website, which would be a huge source of their income has been down for over a month without them even trying to fix it.

On top of that, you can't explain why Bella Hadid who once represented their brand DELETED ALL THE INSTAGRAM POSTS SHE EVER MADE PROMOTING ICE STUDIOS IN THE FIRST PLACE. That seems very odd to do, and coincidentally the deletion only came after Jess became part of this "business" not before. A business that was running just fine before Jess got involved.

In conclusion:

At no point did I say Jess didn't have high-profile jobs in the past. At no point did I say she didn't brush shoulders with some famous people. I said currently (as in for the past few years, particularly when she got with Jamie) she's done literally nothing other than sit in his house or follow him around everywhere. If she was this "successful CEO woman" who did all this work, which is a public job that has to do with marketing and being the face of a brand, then she also wouldn't have time to follow Jamie to every convention and on every snowboarding trip and do nothing but sit in his house and doom scroll on social media.

The exact profession she chose relies so extremely heavily on attending events, marketing yourself, public appearances, and networking, in person. Trust me, Jess is not doing any of this sitting in Jamie's house and looking at Instagram which seems to be 98% of her life these days. Instead of trying to explain any of this you just default back to "Well Jess did have this job at one point even though it's extremely dubious what extent she worked with any of these people and there's absolutely zero proof she had much contact with them if any contact at all". You pick and choose what narrative you want to have and you ignore what is being said in the first place. Then you make bullshit phony concern posts like this:

Instead of just reading what I actually have to say. You are twisting things entirely out of context, not reading the writing on the wall, not reviewing all of the sources I've provided, not using logic, and being wilfully ignorant to the situation because for some reason you'd rather defend this woman and all the truth surrounding her behaviour than actually learning for yourself that she's a walking red flag.

Now that you've read all of this @jess-moloney-malarkey maybe you have some explanation to this, I'm guessing you don't since it seems you can't comprehend what your own sources say let alone the facts I'm laying out for you but go ahead, try to defend this instead of just trash talking me like you have all the facts. That wierd time manga was on the 3DS eshop

Available only in Japan and France

Dokopon Choice

While looking for MH Stories on hshop (not gonna sugarcoat it, that was what I was doing)

I ran into something that caught my eye... a strange name Ive heard of every MH game on the platform so something was off when I saw a name I didnt recognize.

MH Flash... huh?

It coudnt be a game considering it was literarly 75MB and there were like 7 different volumes

looked it up and realised that was a manga... I thought it was going to be some sort of tie in bonus, like a series of 3D videos, because I never heard of anything like the 3DS having actual manga publications but...

No that wasnt the case actually, it was just a whole issue of Monster Hunter Flash

The menu did leave me asking some questions. it didnt look like something capcom themselves made, instead a platform that was made by a third party which lead to the question

"are there more of these?"

yes. there were.

And so I present to you one of the neatest things ive ever ran into while looking into the 3DS's catalogue

The French and Japanese eshop's selection of digital manga!

Where do I begin...

The 3DS has a neat history with ebooks

There were two services that provided ebooks on the system, these being: HONTO for 3DS and Dokodemo Honya-San. both exclusive to japan.

Honto had a more general ebook line up. no manga

Honya-San was kinda like that but you also had a whole lot of manga baby

So where does Dokopon Choises fit into this?

Well Dokopon Choise was the name for standalone releases of things found on Honya-San

Imagine it this way, in Honya-san, releases are treated like DLC

Through Dokopon its treated as its own app.

Purchases of Dokopon apps and Honya-San books are treated as separate so you could end up buying the same thing twice (its actually aknowledged on every dokopon release on the eshop, be careful that you dont buy the same thing twice by accident)

Both were managed by Librika, a digital book distribution company

That leads the question as to why I didnt make this post about Dokodemo Honya in general as that service has alot of things to talk about

Well Honya-San didnt make it out of japan... The only one that got out of japan was Dokopon Choise which is why I want to focus on it.

Well from what ive read, apparently out of most countries in Europe. France had the largest audience for manga, which made something like this profitable.

Even then because of the small selection that made it over, it mostly feels like a small experiment more than anything

Something I would like to note is that these were sold as multi packs on the eshop. Tonari no Atashi has a Vol.1-10 pack which retailed at ¥4,400

The prices for the packs with multiple volumes are all over the place but they tend to float arround ¥1,800 to ¥5,125

Price depends on the amount of volumes offered and the series.

Jimikoi and 2.5D boyfriend were the cheapest of the entire lot at ¥400 and ¥880 respectively

And the most expensive release was in fact Tokyo Ghoul Remastered at a whopping ¥7,000 for Volume 1-14

Something I found interesting is how the file size for the JP manga are considerably bigger than that of the french releases, most likely due to the french releases not being in multi packs.

The French releases were 75 MB a pop. No multi packs to my knowledge.

While the japanese releases often go over 200 MB. Most likely due to having most of the volumes in one singular download.

Keep in mind that the list here is only for what was on Dokopon Choise. Dokodemo Honya-San had even more things... but sadly due to the nature of it being a digital platform and its downloadable content not being shown on the eshop... I cant find more info on what was on the service...

Most I have is tweets of people talking about the service.

Last release being Nisekoi in Japan.

I sadly dont have data on when they released for french audiences, I just have data on the JP releases.

All of the releases under Dokopon Choises were removed from the eshop in January 31, 2019

Luckily for anyone who purchased content on the 3DS, they had a chance to move their 3DS library to their web library.

Honya San wasnt only on 3DS, same as HONTO, it had a web client under the name Dokodemo Bookstore

To my knowledge it seems like users who still have the app, on their 3DS, with downloaded books can enjoy them just fine.

And despite Librika merging with MEDIA DO in 2019, it seems like Librika still operates their digital bookstore to this day on mobile platforms.

What an odd piece of nintendo history isnt it.

Queen Charlotte Social Media Hype: Reddit Update

Ahead of the Queen Charlotte release I posted about unusual and odd social media hype for Queen Charlotte, and how much of it didn't feel organic (link here: How organic is the online social media hype for Queen Charlotte).

Just ahead of the release the BridgertonNetflix Reddit sub posted a series of posts for episode discussions, and since the release not quite 24 hours ago there has been a flurry of posts about Queen Charlotte, most of them from users who have only just begun posting on this sub, and only post about Queen Charlotte, all with similar comments. The quick response of many of these users, and the lack of any previous engagement on the BridgertonNetflix subreddit is very curious indeed.

At least one of these new users posting after the release of Queen Charlotte is a crew member, and his post is most definitely one of self promotion, despite self promotion being against the rules of the sub.

Another user who has not posted on Bridgerton in almost a year has popped up telling everyone to watch Queen Charlotte and even saying to people who expressed no interest in the show to watch it because they will change their minds, completely invalidating someone else's viewpoint. To me it come across as rather aggressive, and perhaps also a little desperate.

Another user has commented quite literally once on the the BridgertonNetflix sub reddit, only to defend the show from a post with a list of criticisms, as did another user who has posted previously, but only on Queen Charlotte, and not in any meaningful way. One of the interesting things about the second of these users, is in defending the criticism that George and Charlotte hardly interacted they made the claim that they interacted more than Kate and Anthony, and that they liked each other from the beginning (by implication Kate and Anthony didn't) which suggests that this person hasn't actually watched S2 of Bridgerton, or at least if they did took no notice of what was happening in the season. But regardless, it wasn't actually necessary to bring in Kate and Anthony except to either drama bait, or to try to diminish them and the achievements of S2 in order to make Queen Charlotte seem better, but why?

These users are only two small examples of the odd activity on the BridgertonNetflix subreddit, but it seems every minute or two a new Queen Charlotte post is going up by yet another user who is either not a regular (8 or 9 months since posting last) or has never posted on Bridgerton. Most of the users commenting on the episode posts for Queen Charlotte are also users that have had either little or no interaction on the BridgertonNetflix subreddit before 4 May.

The really interesting thing about all of these users who are apparently so in love with Queen Charlotte and so excited for it is that none of them are posting on either of the Queen Charlotte subreddits. If it was the show you wanted to talk about and post about why not go to the subreddit set up for that show, why suddenly start spamming another (connected) subreddit? Unless it is a marketing campaign.

As I mentioned in my previous post on this topic, if you are carrying out a marketing campaign where you are using Reddit / Reddit users to promote your show, then it makes sense to target the highest number of potential audience as opposed to targeting a small audience of people who are obviously already invested in the show.

I was contacted anonymously by someone who claims a comment they made on the BridgertonNetflix sub reddit about there being a Queen Charlotte subreddit was removed. I am unable to verify that information as the person in question did not provide their username. This does make some wonder if one of the mods on the BridgertonNetflix subreddit is somehow connected to the production, or has been contacted by the production to help with the promotion of Queen Charlotte, of course this is speculation only, but the question of why they don't send those wanting to discuss Queen Charlotte to the Queen Charlotte subs is one that should be asked.

Queen Charlotte is not Bridgerton, for all the use of Bridgerton Social Media to promote it, it is a different show altogether, and it should have to stand or fall based on its own merits and not be treated as another season of Bridgerton.

Chapter 2:

“Goodmorning, How can I assist you this morning?” The young lady at the front desk asked me.

“Hello, I am here to see Agent Penelope Garcia” I check my phone and verify if she has responded but nothing.

“Am sorry I don’t recognize that name”

“Of course. She and her team are here on the doppler case” Come on.

“Oh yes.” Thank god. “Let me lead you to the office she is using. I nod following right behind her. Once we arrive I give her thanks and she lets me walk in alone.

“Why haven’t you responded to any of my messages?” I can’t help but smile as her usually bubbly self engulfs me into a hug.

“Im sorry, I just wanted to get these papers filled out so I can have enough time to shop around before leaving tonight”

“Well new york is surely the place to walk around and shop”

“Sure is, so what's up” I take a seat next to her. She always made every place she was in hers, no matter how long she was in them. She was the one to bring the cases into a new level with a sense of emotion. We met here about 2 years ago when they requested my help. One of their agents was in trouble and needed to get his case resolved. He was being wrongly accused and working alognside her the most was the best. Since then we have kept in touch.

“My client was found dead last night from an apparent suicide, and my partner and I know that was not the case. He left a note behind and photos of the scene were taken.” one of the things I hate doing is asking for things, more when they haven’t asked anything of me.

“They took you off the case and they are just treating it as a soon to be closed one since he probably admitted guilt in the note” She surely is a smart bee.

“Yes. So my question is if you could..” Why does asking for help have my heart beating faster and wanting to punch myself?

“Get you the pictures? Sure. Give me a couple seconds” I let out a short laugh seeing her move her fingers magically over her keyboard. “I will send them to you using an encrypted address, so no one knows it was sent to you and no one can take them off your phone” After a short conversation I bid her goodbye. I was so lucky she was in town. I drove back into the office and straight into Matt’s.

“Hey got the pictures, did you get the videos?” I see him shake his head but move a file towards me. I open them up and see death certificates.

“There is no video eveidence in or around his home and the officers are of no help, but they did mention that” I see him point at the papers again. All in alphabetical order, all the suspects' death certificates. All killed one day during the week prior to Miller’s death. “Foggy spend his morning looking them up and even confirmed it with the families”

“Why would they kill Miller and the suspect in question? Eitheir we never got the right guy in our suspect list or they don’t care who they kill, loved one or not '' I throw the papers to the desk. It's like if I was driving down a road and had three ways to go. One was the easy way, just a straight paved road. The other one was a road that would take me days to drive. I would have to take a car, then a boat, a plane and finally walk on foot to reach. The third one I could see the destination but the bridge had just broken. The train broke. Everything is falling piece by piece. What was supposed to be our advantage and a step ahead brought us closer to nothing, nothing. Anyways, that just confused me more. I get up, popping open my phone. “I got the pictures of the letter and you are right it was definitely not a suicide note”

We spent the whole afternoon trying to figure anything out. Any connection to the Miller to the suspects or any of them to the 3 guys mudered and finally we got a lead. One of the suspects had the same marking left on the note and the three guys that were murdered. We looked back on the guy’s pictures and with the help of Foggy and Karen now we came to find that the suspect was close to another guy with the same marking on his wrist.

“I will send over the information to the lead officer” I nod at Karen. Our next step is to wait for them to take them into custody and wait for him to talk. Let the police do their jobs and have him give as much information as possible. What did that marking mean? Who was the suspect to him?

“Now what?” Foggy asked, as he is seated next to Matt and I. I take my phone out to check the time.

“Well it's 4:45. I say we take a break and resume this as soon as we hear anything from the police. I can’t miss Tony’s party and neither can you three” I part to my home to get ready. I rush home quickly, taking a shower and fixing myself up. Supricenly I look into the mirror and it doesn’t look like I havn’t slept well for the past 2 weeks. When I arrived at the tower the time hit 7:10. I took the elevator to the floor where they were having the party. It was a long way up but I finally made it.

“Look who’s here” I hear Tony scream from across the room. I would have turned right around but I notice Nat and Steve now behind Stark as he walks towards me.

“I brought you your succulent but those guys in the entrance took it from me” I say feeling his arms wrap around me and pulling towards the way he came from. “Happy birthday” I say quickly returning his smile.

“Thanks. I know you are a no show to parties but I want you to enjoy yourself tonight” I was about to argue with him but he always has to get his way or he won’t stop. “Come on do it for me. It's my birthday!” He grabs a drink from the waitress passing by and with that he walks away.

“I understand you’re his lawyer but that doesn’t mean you have to be his friend” I laugh at Nats words as I hug her, than Steve.

“I know I am not the most uplifting person but someone how in his little weird way he makes me like him. Plus the pay is good so if I have to come to these once every year I can take it”

“Well it's good to see you,” Steve says, handing me a drink. “So what has been keeping you busy from visiting us?” Nat and I follow him as he leads us towards the bar.

“I had this case that has been going on for 3 weeks and just this morning my client was found dead. Now it seems to be a murder but the officials want to pronounce it as a close case because some letter states he admitted fault” Damn I am going to need more alcohol.

“So they just want to throw him under the rug and call it a win?” I simply nod towards them stealing two cups from a waiter. “So what is the reason you think it was a suicide?” Before I could ramble on about what we figured out a tall figure walks behind steve and places a hand on his shoulder

“Hey man, I need to talk to you” The deep voice belonged to a dark-haired guy. Build with a strong stance. A vibridium arm. Call me crazy but I don’t even know how to handle my thoughts right now. Being in the presence of the avenger is not new. I know everything can be expected but not me becoming so infatuated with only looking at this guy for the first time. Who was he?

“Yeah of course” Steve got up, excusing himself from the table. “I will be back soon” I nod watching them both leave

“Bucky” I hear from the side. Quickly I noticed I was having a staring problem so I looked towards Nat with an awkward smile. “Well James Buchanan Barnes. He was stationed with Steve back in the 40s. We found him as the Winter Soilder”

“Oh yeah. You told me some details, before he had to go to Wakanda '' Nat mentions some things here and there but with her missions and my cases we prefer to leave our work lifes behind most of the times we hang out.

“Yeah. He seems much better now but I know its a struggle for him to get used to this world now” As she continues talking I can’t help but move my eyes discreetly towards them. The lights were low but when he was close I could tell they weren’t brown. His face was emotionless as he walked away but he tried to direct a smile towards us as he spoke to Steve. Being on the bad side most of your life and having to work for it now is not simple. “You like him.”

I shake my head, “No, no, just curious” It was true. He was the mysterious, cold looking, low voice guy in all of my books I have read before and fell in love with but I am too smart to know that something like that would work out. Boys in my books fight for what they want while battling their demons. When I see him I see a guy who has demons he has yet to overcome because the main demone is himself. He is struggling. His arm twitches and his head turns at every noise. He has things he needs to fix and if all my books are correct a woman may help but they want their space. Also the woman in the books does everything for them not to be alone and helps them fight their demons but I am not one to do so. I get scared and run away at the first look of difficulty. I am not the one to be placed with someone's trust and love. I can’t give you a correct response. I am not someone’s needs.

“Stop analyzing everything” She laughs while handing me another drink. “Is you were to stop anylizing eveythning and just go for it you would see how wonderful life could be '' She was right. Every move I make has to be foreseen by a pro and cons list. A breakdown of cause and effect. I break down my decisions and take the best route, even if my heart is telling me not to.

“Am a lawyer, that's what I do” I take a sip shrugging her off to change the conversation.

“Well how about for tonight you can be a girl in a little black dress who everybody in the party sees as carefree” I smile at her words. Of course I am not the one to let go but fuck it. Right?

“And what do you suggest, Miss. Romanoff?” She drinks her last glass and pulls out her hand.

“I suggest dancing like nobody's watching?” And that is exactly what we did. We dance past midnight. Many guests had left and while the rest were drinking and talking Nat and I were the only ones on the dance floor.

“Girls! The DJ needs to go” We both turned booing at Tony who was speaking through the microphone. “Don’t boo me! Go get some water!” We both laugh making our way to the other avengers. Which was only Steve, Wanda. Vis, Bruce and soon I knew Tony was going to come over.

“Hey I know you are not in the right mindset but I have something I would need help with in the morning?” Steve asked innocently which I only nodd to trying to gulp down a whole water bottle. “Its nothing just a ticket” I burst out laughing and soon the others follow.

“Goody two shoes got a ticket?!” Of couse Tony was the one with the nickname although everybody was thinking it.

“It wasn’t my fault! I was fed up with Nats feet on the dashboard and didn’t see the light was red”

“Well it wasn’t my fault either. You could just have ignored it but you chose to remove my feet yourse-'' We were caught off guard as the big windows outlooking the terrace blew up. I don’t know if they were the drinks or if I was just that tired but I don’t remember anything else from that night.
