Hiya honey girl!
How are you doing? ♥️
I feel gay today, and I don’t have anyone to vent to, so it’s gonna be you I’m afraid
I feel so gay, I spent half the day looking longingly in the distance, and *sighing* wishfully
Do you ever feel like that?
Last week I bought a red rose from a dude in the street and offered it to a beautiful lady singer in a bar, and even if I don’t particularly want to see her again, it still felt good to do something chivalrous and lesbiany you know?
I like living my life on my own, but some days I wish I could do those romantic things with somebody, like holding hands and cuddling, and walking along the river, and maybe kissing a little.
Even if I’m happy by myself, sometimes I still yearn for the day I’ll have my own lady to offer my roses to 🥺
inkaaaa hi hi <3
I'm doing pretty good, in drastic need of a weekend. almost there!
!!! gay vents are always welcome here! oh to look longingly into the distance whilst sighing wishfully...
do I ever feel like that YES absolutely in fact while pondering my response I did just that asjdfkl okay I might ramble in the tags but yeah completely relate to be happy with life on my own but sometimes wishing it wasn't just me yeah I'm definitely going to ramble in the tags
offering a beautiful lady a rose I'm 🥺🥺 sometimes you just have to indulge in chivalrous lesbiany actions this is unavoidable. manifesting this for you, I hope all your rose offering yearnings come true!
#this is so sweet and very relatable alksdfjs#only opting to ramble in the tags instead of the response bc I feel like this is going to get long lol you've been warned#but yeah. definitely do feel the happy by myself but sometimes wish I could be sharing that time with others#sometimes if i'm watching tv I'll wonder what new shows or movies I'd be watching if someone else was here#instead of the same eight shows I just watch on rotation all year (this is bc I like them btw. it's just hard to watch new shows#without external motivation to do so)#or when I'm working on the blanket that's been in progress almost two years. I wonder if I'd be making it in someone else's favorite colors#lot of little thoughts like this. some are fleeting and others I tend to get stuck on a bit or overthink#like breakfast for example. would I eat breakfast more consistently if I was also making it for someone else? what if they prefer to eat#the same thing every day? i need variety but I could make sure we always have their favorite fruit or put their cereal box out to make it#easier. or if getting the cereal out is part of their routine i can make sure their favorite bowl is always clean#i find myself wondering which of my mugs would be their favorite? which of theirs would be my favorite?#yeah i'm an acts of service person can you tell. also quality time... can you imagine the shared floor time conversations#a lot of the time I picture myself doing the exact same thing like watching tv and playing switch or practicing music or even working#the biggest different is just that someone else would also be here doing their own thing#to scroll tumblr in silence from the same couch... sending each other posts even though we're both right there. I do miss that#even chores would be more fun and go quicker I think. racing to see if they can do the dishes faster than I can fold and hang laundry#tidying and putting our things together in shared spaces. seeing them side by side just like we are#making the bed together and putting each of our stuffed animals on our own side#or maybe I'd just make it so they have one less thing to worry about#I think i've exposed myself enough alskdfj but there are quite literally hundreds more where those came from#anyway who wants to admit they have a crush on me (kidding) (ish)#asks#oops after posting this is looks like way more tags than I thought it would sorry anyone who made it this far

Fic: Reflection 2/2
First Part here or Ao3 here Summary: Gordon stares at himself. In part 2 - ...and Virgil watches Words: <1K ~*~*~
Reflection - part 2
Virgil’s got a pretty good sense of what goes on in his periphery.
Granted, he doesn't immediately scan for entryways and nearest exits every time he enters a room the way his security-inclined siblings do. Kayo somehow manages to do it without an obvious deviation to her gaze, so it's not apparent at all that that's what's happening. But it is, and it speaks volumes to his sister's ability to multitask.
But this doesn't preclude Virgil from being in tune with what's happening around him. He may not be able to sense danger from the way someone’s shoulders hunch to hide themselves when entering a building, but he does have a strong sense of observation when it comes to what he knows well, or what he wants to know well. Things like the island landscape he's painted a thousand times and more; the exact paint hues he needs to combine to create the sapphire in his baby brother's eyes; the number of wrinkles on Scott’s shirt to know if he actually slept that night; how jittery John is in his fingers incremental to his caffeine intake.
Things like that.
So when Gordon rotates his shoulders and eases back to sit on his heels, Virgil notices the movement. He doesn't say anything right away because the moment doesn't warrant it. The chore is a little too heavy for ribbing about laziness, which would be the appropriate response if it were any other type of rescue. As it is, they are both trying to forget about the losses made all too real by the lingering mud on Two’s windshield, caked on so firmly that the water jets only managed to release about two thirds of it. The rest was down to human persistence.
Gordon's persistence.
And his own.
For him, it hurts when he lets himself think about it too much, which is why Virgil buries his ears in Beethoven’s 7th and lets the ache of the composer’s hearing loss envelop him instead while he listens for shifting key centers and tension tossed between instrumentation. The technical music analysis keeps his brain from wandering back to muddied faces, slack with breathlessness. Except for in the second movement, admittedly. Allegretto wasn’t just “less lively.” She was brutal, and his eyes may have blurred with sadness in the key of A-minor for just a moment while faces swam in the glass.
It still helps. Somehow. The painful reminder of human experience.
So that’s him - his heartbeat so firmly tied to the environment around him: the shape of its sounds and the timbre of its sights. He carries on because he must.
When it comes to Gordon, though? His brother is perseverance embodied - all the determination of an Olympian, resolve of a soldier, courage of a survivor, and tenacity of someone who gets up every morning balancing chronic injury with self-care and selflessness. His backbone might be physically lighter after surgery, but it’s equally fiercer.
Gordon’s been doing this work in silence, and Virgil wonders exactly what he’s been thinking while Virgil’s been drowning screams with violins. He knows it is possible for Gordon to detach, become the soldier he was trained to be. But it’s rare for their resident aquanaut to let Virgil witness it. Those experiences are something Gordon will channel with Scott, every now and again.
But Virgil has seen it before - regretfully.  And this isn’t it.
Virgil squeezes his eyes closed, and when he opens them Gordon’s pressed his fingertips to his mouth, a strange expression on his face while his eyes lock on the crisscrossing of scars near his hairline. Painful memory or badge of honor? Virgil wonders. A little of column A, a little of column B. From his experience, nothing was ever so black and white.
He just hopes that when Gordon looks at himself in the mirror, when he’s not smiling for the rest of the world to see, he still notices the bravery and feels every iota of admiration marked with his name. Just as on more than one occasion, Scott has reminded Virgil of the same. It’s inherent in human nature to be harder on ourselves, to sometimes see ourselves so differently than those around us. It was never so obvious to Virgil as when he sketched the first draft of each of their portraits. Scott the commander, John the intelligent, Gordon the tenacious, Alan the boy genius. Himself? The supporting role. Scott had shaken his head and called him the heartbeat while Virgil flushed with embarrassment and confusion. Then, he asked Virgil to try again, until he was satisfied that Virgil’s self-portrait captured what the others saw in him.
Shoulders straighter, wider in the frame. Eyes more confident, but softer, kinder.
Eventually, Gordon catches him watching. It was bound to happen; they’ve worked together too long and traveled too far for them not to be in tune with the other. In barely a blink,  in front of him is the man he painted all those years ago, scars and all, but eyes carrying the blinding gleam and the joyful spirit of a man who would always get back up again and smile.
He shifts his earphones, Beethoven barely audible as if through a fog, and Virgil asks genuinely if he’s ok. Gordon, true to form, plays it off with a joke and a smile, even though they both know it’s what they call “a moment.” They’ve had many over the years. This is just another, and it won’t be the last.
This part isn’t keen observation; it’s intuition. Virgil just knows that this moment isn’t one he needs to press. Gordon’s ok. They both will be.
So he grins back at him, gives Gordon the lighthearted response he knows he needs, and resets his music.
Virgil takes a breath, emboldened by his brother’s endurance beside him.
And then he keeps going.

answering this in its own post @skullamity bc it could probably help a bunch of people. I use Sweepy, which has no joke turned me from a person living in a fortress of fast food containers and dirty sweaters to someone who can invite company over any time without a second thought.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You start by adding each room in your house, and then you assign tasks to each room. For every task you can set how frequently it needs to be done (including one-time / daily / as needed / certain times of year only), and how much effort it takes. It will then track each chore with a progress bar that goes from green (did this task recently) through yellow (not urgent yet) to red (this task is due). This visual indicator has been insanely helpful for me, bc it turns a negative reminder (task failed by default until you do it) into a positive one (you can turn the red into green!!! you can turn...the YELLOW into green!!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The effort rating is used to generate a balanced daily to-do list (this is a premium feature but I highly recommend it, it's the best part of the app and I haven't regretted it for a second). If you live with other people, you can add everyone to the same schedule and individually set the energy people can spend per day. The app then assigns each person chores up to their daily limit, based on what most needs doing. All my life people have assured me that if you do 'a few things' every day, the house stays clean. Madness, witchcraft. It actually works.
Other nice QoL things that have helped my difficult brain stick to this effortlessly for 6 months now:
there is a streak counter, but every 10 days you earn a 'wildcard' that will be automatically used up if you skip a day, maintaining your streak. good for busy or bad mental health days, and effective at making you do the calculus on whether getting up to sweep the bathroom is REALLY hard enough to warrant burning a whole cheat day.
if you can't do a specific task that day (you can see I've been putting off mopping for a while bc I need to pick up a new mophead) you can reroll your schedule or just manually pick a different task from your task library to make up points.
it has a few simple achievements that helped motivate me over the first few weeks - things like 'do every task in a room in one day' or 'have every room in the green at once'. cunning, bc once you've done these, daily maintenance gets way easier.
being able to put in tasks that only need to be done once a year or so weirdly keeps me interested. instead of walking around thinking 'ughhh I need to get around to clearing out that storage cupboard' I'm thinking 'ooh, one of these weekends I get to clear out the storage cupboard, I wonder when it will come up in the rotation'
tl;dr: I have depression and anaemic fatigue, Sweepy did tricks on my mind and now my kitchen counters are always clear and I vacuum daily.

Steady Study
Summary: With his exams exhuming the next day, Luke wants to study, however he is realising that there are other things to do with his time, like spend it with you
Pairing: nerd!bf!Luke Hemmings x reader
Warnings: fluff, worrying of grades
Tumblr media
“I cannot wait to ace that test tomorrow.” Luke mumbled as he allowed his azure eyes to scale through the words in the large study book that barely fit in his hands. He was wearing his glasses, the rims were circular with a winged hilt at the top corners, and his hair was askew from him ruffling his fingers through it earlier on. He was about to take his masters degree, and you were insanely proud of your boyfriend.
“You’re going to do great Lu.” You encouraged him as you stalked up from behind him after placing your steaming coffee down on the side table, and wrapped your arms around his giant shoulders. “After all, you already have all of this branded in your mind, you’ve been reciting it for the last month every time you’re talking in your sleep.”
His mouth tilted up at the sides from your voice as he leant down to give each of your hands an individual peck. “I know baby, I just feel like I have to keep reading it up until the last moment, because what if I forget something at the very last minute?” Luke stopped reading as he angled his head upwards to peer at your face, a slightly worried expression conforming his features.
“That’s not going to happen, and even if it did, you’re still going to pass with flying colours Lu. You’re the best in your class, so come into the kitchen and eat dinner with me pleeeaaassseeeee.” Apparently you were convincing as Luke inhaled deeply for the first time in hours and closed the book that had tried to starve him, he stood up on his long legs and followed you to sit down and eat.
The pair of you didn’t talk much over the meal, however it wasn’t awkward, in fact it never was, it was just comfortable. “Thank you for dinner baby.” He leant down and pecked your forehead as he grabbed your plate before you had a chance and headed over to the sink. He scrubbed the dishes, rotating the sponge around the radius of the ceramic, purposely standing in your way so that you couldn’t take over.
He was aware he’d been very distracted recently, and whilst it was for a good deed in consideration of his future, it had left you mucking out on most of the chores. He wanted to help, he had been stressed but so had you, he understood. “Go to bed darling, I’ll finish up here and join you. I won’t be long.” You obediently did as he said, walking up the stairs with heavy and tired lids as you eventually entered your bedroom.
You wanted to stay awake until Luke joined you, but you were just far too tired. When he finally came to join you Luke quirked a gentle smile, you were completely crashed out upon the mattress, your face mushed into the pillow as you gently breathed, the duvet drafted over your entirety like a warm cocoon.
He crawled in beside you, careful as to not awaken you, he was tired too if he were being honest. He glanced at the bedside table on his side, one of his many study books laying there, haunting him with an immediate passion. It wanted to be opened, and he had recently caved into continuously doing so, but instead he shut off the glowing lamp, ignoring it as he laid in silent rest with you.

My Favorite Musical Artists of 2023
It is Spotify wrapped season and so instead of letting a company decide what I liked most or listened to most when it isn't totally accurate I shall instead tell you my favorite musical artists of the year and what musical art resonated most with my heart and why.
Normally I don't like to do this sort of list until it's actually the next year because in December maybe I'll get into Electronic Disco Funk and have 3 artists that should really be here but I figure now is a good time
youtube
Ado
Ado really was a machine of putting out great music both on contract for anime and songs that are just related to her own work. I found her listening to the One Piece Film Red soundtrack and loving those songs this year but her vocals on Show, All Night Radio, FREEDOM and more all are breath takingly great. She clearly knows great people to collaborate with to make amazing music and her vocals are utterly delightful with a brilliant vocal range.
Ado music is perfect for making playlists for my OCs, listening to while writing, working on chores, really just a perfect artist for every function I often look to music for.
youtube
Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae is a consistent favorite even in years where they have released no new songs they still stand among my favorite artists of the year with songs like Make Me Feel, Many Moons, Tightrope and Screwed always being on my rotation of songs. Now Lipstick Lover joins as another Monae staple that will constantly be on repeat for me. The Age Of Pleasure was a really great album and I think this era of Janelle's music was really good and I think Janelle was really bold going into being a free ass person and refusing to let themselves be defined by others on their own terms.
youtube
Reinaeiry
While I am not the biggest fan of the same kind of operatic dramatic songs that often drive many of Reinaeiry's songs, in any given year she still puts out more songs I love then songs that are not my thing. There is a touch of bitter sweetness because my ex loved her music too and so it often reminds me of her and our break up was a bit less than a year ago but having moved back around to being friends with her the music can sit comfortably in my ears as music that means a lot to me even if some songs now have bitter sweet memories tied to them it makes some songs work better too.
youtube
Yoasobi
Yoasobi has had a year getting to preform songs for some of the years biggest anime projects but this was the year I discovered her music and in it I found so many amazing songs. 海のまにまに is probably my favorite from the year but I also really enjoy Horizon, セブンティーン, Biri-Biri, and Hero a lot too. She has a lot of really banger music videos and they are just delights to watch. I find a lot of her songs are perfect chill songs to really set a nice calm wokring on something serious tone in the background, like just enough added energy to not be sleepy music.
youtube
Jamie Page
While I got into Jamie Page last year, Jamie Page's music this year has also been bangers and am still loving the songs i fell for last year. Love Renewed is a new Jamie Page classic and I am always listening to songs like Encore, Gummyworm, Bitter Sweet and People play Pretend. Jamie makes perfect poppy and fun music that can get into the sadder emotions while still being upbeat and really fun to listen to.
youtube
Joel Baylis and Shelby Harvey
The Cassette Beasts OST is probably my actual most listened to music of the year. The soundtrack is just so fucking good, like above and beyond, I really need to actually buy the album on bandcamp because I love it so much. Your Inception and Arrow of Time are probably my favorite songs from the album but Same Old Story, Wherever We Are, face down and the rest of the vocal tracks are all bangers. All these songs are gonna be forever staples for me making OC playlists and just jaming out when I am working on being creative. Their perfect songs for writing action scenes not so dominant that they take all my attention but enough to pump me up for some badass action.
youtube
Chrissy Chlapecka
Chrissy's transition from Tiktok bimbo positivity poster to pop icon this year was glamorous. She really brings something new to the early 2000s pop kinda vibe she is going for with a much more powerful and queer vibe with an aim at being a bit more intentionally political without it being so dominant in the music to pull away from them being like "dumb" pop. A lot of "influencers" attempt the transition into music but it is very clear that Chrissy is actually a musical talent who stumbled into being popular online for not doing music then used that to boost her passion.
youtube
Dorian Electra
Weird core legend Dorian Electra is truly a musical artist who is always worth checking out even when a song is a total wiff it's usually at least fun to watch the music video. I am always relistening to my favs from Dorian but this year had a lot of great blasphemy core music like Sodom & Gomorrah but also brilliant songs like Puppet that really all captured my heart and are just great pop songs in addition to being a little funny or whatever else Dorian is going for.
youtube
Band-maid
J-rock legends Band-maid are always a favorite for me. BAND-MAID are so good at their respective gimmicks it almost makes me sad that they are tied to the gimmick of having to dress up as maids. I enjoy a good Maid outfit but I do think their music is just so seriously damn good and I do worry the gimmick is also a detraction from how truly badass their music is. They are just such amazing artists and they are just a delight to listen to especially if I am gaming and want to replace a sound track or something.
youtube
Tape Girl
Ska is my favorite kind of music, while I didn't include a ton on this list I had to include at least one Ska artist and Tape Girl was an artist I found this year who really blew me away. There were a ton of great artists I discovered this year but as of now I mostly just have one song from them I really love while Tape Girl basically has no misses. Tape Girl is really fun and the instrumentations are all so good, they are just ahhh such fantastic tracks and really songs well worth listening to.

Cool stuff about the twins! :D can you do the same with Johnny boy?
Ooooo absolutely! (And if anyone wants to request Jai’s reaction to the amount of smut his sister reads, I’ll happily write it 😂😂😂)
While he admires his father, he chafes at people only looking at him as “Superman’s Son” or “Clark’s boy”. He has tiny acts of rebellion—his hair is usually messier than his father’s, he doesn’t shave that often, he prefers fiction/nonfiction writing to journalism, etc. Again, he loves his father, he just doesn’t want to be his clone.
The Omega Boys play DND every Wednesday night, as a way to relax and hang out. One campaign, Jon played a Hick Elf, complete with a thick accent. He proceeded to flirt with Mar’i in the accent and made her blush.
Also helped Milagro in her “Noir” shoot
Tumblr media
Not shown, Mar’i shamelessly checking out his butt
He genuinely forgets he doesn’t need glasses sometimes. Milagro, who I headcannon wears contacts but none of them knew, had to wear her spare glasses. They look almost identical to Jon’s. They’d set them near each other after a training session. Milagro put Jon’s on and immediately walked into a wall. Jon put hers on and got an instant migraine.
He absolutely adores his nephews and nieces. He’s Uncle Jojo and spoils them rotten
I think he finds comfort in cooking and baking. Like Omega usually rotates responsibilities, but Jon volunteers to do most of it anyway.
All the omega boys have a “non-sexual slutty” moment the girls can’t stop thinking about. For Jon, it’s him in the middle of kneading bread, glasses sliding down his nose, shirt sleeves rolled up his forearms, singing alone to the radio. I will not be taking questions or complaints at this time.
Jon truly loves his brothers. Like are they annoying as hell? Yes. Does he want to punch them half the time? Absolutely. Would he kill anyone who hurt them? Without question.
While he’s definitely the most powerful on the team, I do think he would rely on that power to help in a fight. This is in comparison to Mar’i, who was raised around several martial art masters.
Literally started calling Mar’i his wife when they were like 17. They’d been dating about three years and she thinks it’s absolutely, ridiculously adorable.
Realized he was bisexual because of Matty West, his first “guy kiss” being Jack (since Jack has kissed Mar’i for dances). He thought he had it handled okay. Then made the mistake of telling Lian, when their families were over, that there’s no question she could ask in front of his parents he wouldn’t answer or they wouldn’t have figured out. Lian’s response? “You cant date Mar’i anymore. Who on this team are you dating instead and why?” Boy froze in pure bi panic
Anytime an animal is staying in omega tower, they’re given the best food.
He enjoys working on his grandparents farm, helping Pa as he ages, but he wouldn’t want to have a huge farm himself.
You know the trope of “girlfriend’s father HATES her boyfriend”? Yeah, Dick refers to Jon as “My Future Son-in-law” to everyone. Like Dickie knows they’re end game lol
Jon and Kathy Brandon love to tease each other about being little kids, running around the farms, pushing each other into the mud. Jon also helps to do chores around her and Maya’s house. When it’s firewood time, Mar’i and Maya pull up chairs to watch them work. Shamelessly I should add
Very very very much soft dom energy. Like he’s usually good with listening or letting people assume, but there’s a side of him that comes out that MAKES people listen
He and Colin always find away to tease Damian about how whipped he is for Irey.
Damian: hey, be safe
Irey: I will *speeds off*
Jon: *dramatic whisper* be safe
Colin: *fake swoon* I’ll be so safe
Disrespect him, he’ll shrug it off. Disrespect his teammates or friends? Y’all are gonna have a “conversation”. Disrespect his family? No words, on sight. Disrespect his WIFE? He will actually kill you.
I don’t know how or why, but at some point, Comics Jon and his boyfriend, Jay Nakamura, appear in omega tower. Jay and Mar’i? Instant best friends determined to sass their boyfriends
He’s the kinda guy who will get you a drink and just sit with you when shit goes down, until you’re ready to talk.

Day 5 of Ode to Phoenix:
Summary: Part of the Hannix Football Rivalry Series in which Jake is a Cowboys fan (lol like Glen) and Natasha is a 49ers fan (like Monica and me.) Jake proposes to Natasha
Pairings: Natasha "Phoenix" Trace x Jake "Hangman" Seresin
Warnings: PG-13/R. Kissing and a mention of having sex
A/N: This just kept getting bigger and bigger so the longer (smuttier) version of Pt. 1 is going to have to wait for another day. This fic has everything...football, music, a proposal! I invite you to dance along with Jake and Natasha. Churned out with no edits so please excuse any mistakes! The next few Ode to Phoenix posts will be shorter so I can get back to Talk to Me.
Tumblr media
The Proposal | Pt. 2
Having grown up in the Bay Area and Colorado, Natasha isn’t sure she’ll ever get used to humidity. August in Virginia is stifling so everyone crowds inside during the day for the air conditioning. The house Jake bought when he was first stationed in Virginia Beach has three bedrooms but between her mom and his parents helping him move, that feels cramped. She’s grateful for their help setting up the house–the kitchen and living room are nearly done after only two days–but glad for the quiet when they go back to their hotel for the night.
“Want to go upstairs and work on the bedroom? I’ll finish up the kitchen,” Jake offers, closing the front door against the heavy air. “Or do you want kitchen duty?”
“All yours, handsome,” she says without hesitation. He grins. He earns a “handsome” for chores she’d rather not do. She pecks him on the mouth and heads upstairs to make the bed.
Natasha and Jake were lucky enough that they both managed to get stationed at Oceana, but he has to rotate ahead of her meaning that for a few months they’ll be long distance with two households. It’s the perfect opportunity for them to streamline the hodgepodge of belongings they’ve acquired between moving in and out with one another over the last two years so Jake asked her to fly in for the weekend to help him sort through everything.
Which makes sense on a practical level, but she’s starting to get suspicious of what other plans he might have while her mom and his parents are in town. Not that it doesn’t also make sense to have as many extra hands as possible because she has to fly out Monday and Jake will start work. At least tomorrow they get to take a break from unpacking–and her worrying that he’s going to drop down on one knee at any moment–to enjoy the Cowboys and 49ers facing off in a preseason game.
Well, maybe not enjoy because she’s going to be pissed if the Niners lose. A loss means having to wear one of Jake’s Cowboys jerseys for the rest of the weekend. But she’s looking forward to Payback and Nora coming by with their daughter Alexis. And Bob and Coyote. She’s excited that she’ll overlap with them and Mickey, who’s deployed at the moment. She talks to Bob in some way every day, but she misses seeing him.
Instead of working on the room though, Natasha finishes picking out her touchdown playlist for the next day. When Jake comes upstairs, she’s sitting cross legged on their very much not made bed. A pillow slams into her side, knocking her phone out of her hand. She looks up into Jake’s half annoyed half amused face. “Seriously, babe?” he complains.
“It’s not like we’re going to bed right now,” she defends herself. Most people assume Natasha is the household’s taskmaster but that would be Jake. Sometime during their relationship, she’d taken over managing their finances and taxes because Jake only did enough to keep them in order and left so much money on the table.
“Yeah, but I was looking forward to making out with you on top of a made bed.”
That catches Natasha’s attention. Oh. She grabs her phone and rolls off the bed. “One made bed coming right up.”
But when he notices that all she has on beneath his Navy t-shirt is a pair of boyshorts, he decides he can do without sheets. Jake hoists her up. Her legs circle his trim waist and squeeze when he kneads the curves of her ass. Her hair falls over her shoulder as she looks down into his burning green gaze and traces the lines of his smile with her thumbs.
Natasha is going to make a joke about him putting up with her but what comes out surprises both of them. “I love you, Jake.”
His whole expression shifts like the sun bursting from behind the clouds on an overcast day. “I was an idiot for every day I wasted not loving you,” he tells her.
She touches her lips to his in a succession of kisses that start brief and hard and become progressively slower and deeper. Natasha closes her eyes, arching into him as his arm, chest, and leg muscles tense and shift beneath and around her to slowly lower her to the mattress. The strength it takes for him to maintain control of their descent floods her with simmering heat. Her head rests on his outstretched arm as his tongue parts her lips. The room is quiet except for the rhythmic lap of their kisses, the soft sighs, faint moans, and sharp exhales as they put off the siren song of their arousal to revel in the intoxicating realm of their kisses.
Jake’s hand, rough from the work of moving, massages circles up and down her bare thigh. She gasps when his fingers trace the line where the fabric of her underwear meets skin. Natasha’s body stretches and trembles beneath his weight when Jake eventually makes slow, tender love to her.
She’s still feeling the faint, warm buzz of their night when she leans into the mirror to lay the strips of eye black across her cheeks for the game. Natasha checks her reflection. Her lucky childhood Montana 49ers jersey is now more of a crop top. Since Jake’s parents are here, she’s opted for a pair of high waisted, black shorts. She pins one side of her recently bobbed hair back. Not exactly her fiercest look for the showdown about to happen, but the eye black helps.
Downstairs, her mom and Sandy Seresin laugh when they see her game day get up. “Is the eye black really necessary?” Mama asks.
“I have to defend my turf,” Natasha insists, jumping in to help with preparing the food. Mama’s wearing her McCaffrey jersey in support of the Bay and Sandy is fully decked out in a Cowboys v-neck t-shirt and blue star earrings. Jake and his dad, Jack, are outside at the grill. It’s so hot she assumes they’ll want to shower and change when they come in.
Payback and Nora also laugh when she opens the door for them. “Y’all are really taking this seriously,” Payback observes with a roll of his eyes.
Natasha picks up Alexis for a hug and kiss. “Would you expect anything less?” she challenges, leading the way to the living room. Alexis is much heavier than the last time Natasha got to hold her and adorable with her hair cornrowed back into two little puffs. “How old are you, big girl?”
Alexis proudly manages to hold up three fingers after a little bit of a struggle. “Free!”
“Definitely a big girl then! Make sure you tell Uncle Jake you’re rooting for the 49ers today, okay?” Alexis nods solemnly.
“Phoenix, leave my child out of this!” Nora orders, following them into the kitchen with her platter of artichoke dip.
“Remember, you like the forty niners like Auntie Nat okay?” Natasha whispers to Alexis, tickling the little girl’s belly and making her giggle. “Can you say ‘Go Niners’?”
Alexis throws her fists in the air. “Go Nine-as!” she says with appropriate gusto. She must already be watching sports at home with her parents.
Natasha smirks at Nora’s tut of protest. “Perfect!”
She introduces Payback, Nora, and Alexis to her mom and Sandy. Jake comes downstairs in his Cowboys jersey. After he hugs Payback and Nora, he lifts Alexis into the air.
“Remember what we say to Uncle Jake today?” Natasha prompts from the refrigerator where she’s grabbing a round of beers for everyone. She tries to ignore the knot of excitement in her abdomen watching Jake holding a baby.
Alexis puts up her fists again. “Go Nine-as!” she says proudly. Alexis looks around, soaking up the uproarious attention that her cheer gets from the adults so she fortunately doesn’t see Jake’s face fall. He glares over at Natasha who raises a beer to him. Already 49ers one, Cowboys zero.
He’s heartened when Coyote arrives in a Cowboys shirt and Bob opts for entirely neutral attire, to Natasha’s vocal dismay. As her former backseater, he’s supposed to be on her side. It’s a nice house warming for their living room to be full of friends and family so soon. She ends up on the new sectional between Sandy and Mama during the pre-game show. Jake does most of the hosting because Alexis is busy playing with her Tiana doll in Natasha’s lap, the little girl’s head resting on her chest. Every time he passes her on the way to the kitchen, Jake finds some way to touch her and once he leans over to press a kiss to the top of her head.
When she glances up at him over her shoulder, she can see in his face that if it were up to him, they’d have their own baby on the way well before the end of the night. He’s going to have to slow his roll on that one though because she needs to get through this deployment tour. Which he knows because he’s the one who made sure that she got the job.
They’d found out through some friends that they were both in consideration for a position in the Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic command, a known stepping stone to admiral. Natasha was favored, and the Commodore was fighting hard for her. However, a few of the senior leaders were concerned that Jake and Natasha’s request to be transferred together with the anticipation of getting married meant an impending pregnancy. Of course, it was illegal for that to be a consideration but that didn’t stop those conversations from playing out behind closed doors. The Navy might be moving women up the ranks, but the infrastructure to support maternity leave was changing at a far slower pace and the command couldn’t afford to be down an officer.
And Jake was a convincing choice. No one would question his qualifications for the job, and it would be easier for them to start a family if she became an instructor.
Subtlety isn’t exactly her boyfriend’s strong suit. And he always says he doesn’t gamble with money because his whole career is enough of a gamble. Without telling her first, Jake took one of the biggest swings of his Naval career. He went to leadership and told them in no uncertain terms what her career meant to her and that if the Navy ever forced him into a corner of protecting his career or hers, hers would always come first. He’d leave the military before he’d let them pass her over for something she deserved. He was also ready to take further action if he felt she wasn’t being given a fair shot.
She’d only found out because Rooster barreled his way into their house, wide-eyed and incredulous, and demanded to know what Jake had done because a friend was asking whether he knew the aviator couple that had the Secretary of the Navy’s office in Washington in an uproar.
Natasha got her orders within a week. Jake sat patiently through her stern lecture about making joint career decisions before she fucked him senseless for going to bat for her.
After Jake brushes her hair aside to kiss the back of her neck on his way back from the kitchen, she catches Nora giving Payback a significant look. Her husband simply lifts his eyebrows and hides a smile in a sip of his beer. Nora comes over to take Alexis back just before kick off.
Jake sets the portable speaker on the coffee table. “Not that you’ll need it,” he tells Natasha smugly, “but got your touchdown playlist ready?”
“Touchdown playlist?” Sandy asks.
“Get ready,” Bob warns wearily. “You might see some things you wish you didn’t when their team scores.”
“I still have nightmares about Hangman doing the worm,” Coyote adds. He’s lounging in one of the armchairs with his ankle crossed over his knee.
“Remember there is a child here,” Payback says, looking pointedly at Jake and Natasha. “I’m not ready to start paying for her therapy.”
Jake settles back into the bar chair he dragged in for himself. “What are you worried about? She’s going to be inspired.”
Their friend knows them well enough to doubt that. Natasha decides to team up with Jake for the last time over the next few hours. “You should probably save your therapy money for when she sees you on a dance floor.”
The former Dagger Squad snickers remembering how Nora had genuinely feared her new husband was going to hurt himself dancing at their wedding reception. He’d had more to drink than any of them had ever seen the normally restrained aviator consume. Jake leans forward to high five her, and Payback glares at them.
“I think I like it better when you two are not on the same team,” he grumbles.
Things only get more riled up once the game starts. San Francisco gets the ball first, and Mama cheers as loudly as Natasha watching them move the ball down the field. They’re both on their feet waiting for a deep pass to spiral into the wide receiver’s arms. He manages to catch the ball and hold onto it before he goes down.
“Yes!!” they scream in unison, high fiving. They wave their arms at the TV. “Oh, oh, oh first down!”
And when Kittle secures the ball in the end zone Sandy finds out what the touchdown playlist is. Natasha selects her song. Tupac’s “California Love.” She does the first victory dance of the game in front of the wall mounted, large screen TV. To everyone’s delight, Mama immediately jumps up to join her. But it’s all over when Alexis realizes her cue and slides out of Payback’s lap to shimmy herself into the dance. And fortunately, she gets her rhythm from her mother.
Jack and Coyote hurry to move the coffee table against the wall before someone falls over it. Which is a good call because Sandy leaps forward several feet when the Dallas defense intercepts a pass. Alexis covers her ears at the Seresins and Coyote shouting for the safety to run the ball down the field while Natasha and her mom scream for the offense to stop him. The interception delivers Dallas a tie at the end of the first quarter, and Coyote, Jake, Sandy, and Jack push the boundaries of Payback’s warning, thrusting their hips to Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Jump on It.”
And Natasha can’t help but laugh at the perfect pick when Jake gets in her face at, “And this where the Cowboys play. They battle with my team from the bay.” She squares off with him, brushing off the shoulders of her jersey.
The second quarter is tense and scoreless. Then McCaffrey scores half way through the third. As soon as Mama hears the LSJUMB’s version of “All Right Now,” she comes hurtling from the kitchen.
“What the–,” Jake demands, watching Natasha and her mom kick, twirl, and step their way through her mother’s Stanford Dolly routine. Although Mama is no longer the svelte, dark haired dancer she was during college, she has no trouble keeping up with Natasha. Alexis, fully committed to her role as a Niners fan for the game, spins along.
On cue, the two of them count, “Five, six, seven, eight!” and jump.
Out of breath, Mama collapses next to Sandy on the sofa. They giggle over the glimpse into Natasha’s childhood going to Stanford football games. “I’m going to pay for that tomorrow,” Mama sighs happily, pushing her gray-streaked curls out of her face.
Jake follows her to the kitchen when Natasha goes to grab a few more beers. Completely ignoring the fact that anyone could walk in, he hugs her from behind and rubs his hand over her exposed stomach. He kisses his way up her neck, his breath sending delightful shivers down her back. “I think I’m going to need a private performance of that routine some time,” he whispers before kissing the sensitive shell of her ear.
She clutches the beers to her chest and glances toward the archway that leads to the living room. The coast seems clear. Under the rattle of beer bottles, she murmurs, “Mmm, did my little show turn you on, Bagman?”
“You have any idea how hot you look right now?” he groans. “Even if you’re wearing the wrong team’s jersey?”
And mostly for her own self-control, Natasha butts him away from her. “Better simmer down there, hot stuff,” she cautions a little breathlessly. “And help me be a good host.”
He’s going in for a kiss when the living room erupts in cheers. “I think you’re up,” she says, glancing down at his crotch to make sure his dance moves are the only thing he’s about to show off. Jake groans and takes the hint. He swipes a carrot on his way out and pulls his phone from his pocket. “Shake Ya Tailfeather” blasts from the living room.
Natasha holds a beer to her cheek to cool her face. Jake, Sandy, and Coyote are taking it way too low when she gets back, but Alexis and Nora are doing the Harlem Shake so Payback is really outnumbered here. Natasha hands him a freshly opened beer and pats his shoulder. Luckily for him because he does not look prepared for Nora and Alexis to have their own choreography to Jake’s next touchdown pick, “Savage Remix.”
With the 49ers down by a touchdown going into the fourth quarter, Natasha yells herself hoarse. Bob finally remembers his loyalty and starts cheering with her. She’s so preoccupied with the close game that it takes her some time to realize how quiet Jake’s become. He doesn’t make a sound when the Cowboys nearly recover a 49ers fumble. When she looks back at him, he’s sitting forward in his chair, leg bouncing nervously. His lips are pressed together so tightly that he’s gone white around the mouth.
“Jake?” she asks. He doesn’t seem to hear her at first. “Jake, are you okay honey?”
He snaps up and pushes a hand into his hair. “Huh?” Sandy and Jack are staring at him too now. He blushes when he realizes that everyone’s attention is on him. “Just thinking of you stuck in a Cowboys jersey for the rest of the weekend,” he smirks, easing back in the chair and loosening his limbs.
It’s a lie, but he’s not going to tell her with everyone watching. Natasha goes back to the game, but a small part of her can’t help checking on him every now and then. He goes to the kitchen and comes back with a beer, looking a little more relaxed. And then the 49ers drive to the endzone with fourteen seconds left on the clock and decide to go for the safety.
Natasha practically stops breathing, her heart hammering a bruise into her ribs.
“What’s happening, Mommy?” Alexis asks, noticing how still the room has suddenly become. Even Nora’s too engrossed to answer.
With only a few seconds left on the clock, the 49ers muscle their way to a one point victory. Natasha explodes. “Yes!” she screams like her team just won the Super Bowl instead of a preseason match up. She runs to the TV and kisses each of the players on the screen.
“Phoenix, I just cleaned that!” Jake yells weakly over Bob, Nora, and Alexis celebrating with her. Even the Seresins seem to enjoy the good fun of a game hard fought, Sandy and Mama hugging.
Natasha spins, arms in the air. “You’re wearing my jersey now Bagman!” she shouts pointing at him. She runs to the sofa and puts on the song she saved for a Niners victory touchdown, “SF Anthem.”
“Do I have to put the jersey on now?” Jake groans.
“Do it!” Coyote shouts. “Let’s see your shame!”
Bob claps his hands, savage. “We won’t leave until you put it on!”
“Fine,” he grumbles, red in the face. “Where’d you put it?”
Jake had refused to even look at the jersey before the game, claiming that it was going to bring the Cowboys bad luck. Looks like that didn’t matter in the end.
She races past him up the stairs to get it from her suitcase. He stomps up behind her, pouting. Natasha rummages through her bag until she finds it, but when she turns around to give it to him he’s already holding one up. It looks a little small for him though.
A slow smile spreads across his face when he sees her surprise. “I figured that if I had to lose this one, we might as well be matching.”
“Matching?”
Jake’s eyes crinkle and his grin looks fit to burst his face as he turns the shirt around. “I can’t think of many circumstances under which I’d be rooting for my Cowboys to lose.” Her eyes fall to the name written across the back of the red jersey. Seresin. “But making sure the day I ask you to marry me is absolutely perfect for you is apparently one of them.”
Natasha’s brain is stumbling to catch up. “Is that for me?” she asks slowly as understanding dawns on her.
“I promise I have your ring, but our moms threatened to murder me if they didn’t get to see that part so your mom insisted on holding onto it,” he says, voice cracking. He clears his throat and laughs nervously at her open-mouthed silence. “But I thought–well, you mentioned once that you’d want it to be just us when I asked so–.”
“Yes.”
He gives her disgruntled look. “Nat, I haven’t asked yet!”
“I thought the shirt was–.”
“See! This is why people get down on one knee so the asking part is clear!”
A sly smile starts across her mouth. “Are you arguing with me or proposing to me?”
“Goddamnit, I don’t know! Both, I guess. But I love you for that too, Natasha Trace, because somehow even when we’re arguing I only find more reasons to love you. And you’ve taught me that we don’t have to argue for us to see eye to eye. People always say that the person they love makes them better, but I love you because you make everyone better, not just me. And I love that you know how much I love a show but that never stops you from reminding me in all the quiet ways every single day how much you love me.
Natasha swallows, trying not to choke or tear up but this time it’s a losing game. Jake’s face opens up like she’s never seen, every defense down with his soul laid bare to her. He comes to her, leaving the shirt on the bed so he can take her in his arms. Tenderly, his hand cradles her face, thumb swiping away the tears she’s given up holding back. When she remembers this night, there will always be his green eyes leading her heart to his.
He finishes barely above a whisper, every word forever meant only for them. “I love that you push me and challenge me in every way to be better but you’re always there when I fall short. I love that I look up to you more than anyone in the world not because you’re perfect but because you have the grace to realize no one is without letting that stop you from being better. And I love that you were right about not going down on one knee to ask you to marry me because it means I don’t have to let you go, and I never want to. So will you marry me, Natasha Trace?”
“I don’t ever want to let you go either, Jake, so yes.”
Just before he kisses her, Natasha’s heart beats one last time as her own.
Jake is game to wear his Niners jersey downstairs for the proposal in front of their friends and family, but she loves him enough not to want him to have to remember their engagement that way. So, instead, she changes into the Seresin jersey that he got her.
When they come downstairs hand-in-hand, she’s not quite so surprised to find that the number of people they left downstairs has grown. Her father, brothers, and sister are there, as are Rooster and Maverick. Jake’s cousins, Fallon and Zach, as close to him as siblings, are waiting too. Even with all the shushing, it’s still so loud and crowded in the living room when Jake goes down on one knee that Natasha is glad she was also right about it being just them when he asked for the first time.
But she’s very happy to say “yes” again and every day after.
Jake slides the delicate ring they'd picked out together onto her finger and dips her into a kiss that raises enough noise to shake the house.
It's not until Natasha is on the verge of sleep that something occurs to her. "Jake?"
"Hmmm?"
"What if the Cowboys won? What would you have done about the jersey?"
"Given you the Cowboys one."
Natasha flies up. "You got me a Cowboys jersey?"
"I'm sure you'll have a chance to put it to good use," he promises with a sleepy smirk.
E/N: Any thoughts on Jake and Natasha's first dance song for their wedding?

ask: hiiii i js read your stalker! ghost n könig, can i request a fic/drabble ab them?? it could be the based of the previous post or any scenario you hv in your mind :)) tqq <3
ofc!! i am rotating these men in my head like food
note. some things your stalkers do for you.
cw. yandere, stalking, possible stockholm syndrome, reader is less cautious than they should be, light (one) nsfw mention, light mention of blood and bones, hinted violence.
Tumblr media
You begin to get used to their looming presence. The sensation of eyes on you now feels like a weighted blanket instead of a living pin cushion. You haven't kept track of the number of days since they arrived in your little corner, but you know it's been a few months by now. You've had a lot to think about. Most importantly, those two staggering figures and their faceless identities.
Your eyes are better at noticing changes in your environment. Boot tracks in the dirt around your complex, fogged-up handprints on your window, much larger than your own. Curtains pulled to the side when you explicitly remember shutting them every night. Clothes undoubtedly go missing, but they're considerate to return your favorite articles unsoiled, as long as they're not underwear... Still, you can smell them on your hoodies. Strong scents that burn your nose and cloud your thoughts. You'd prefer to recoil in disgust if they weren't so addicting at the same time. You think one has a smoking problem.
You realize one, or both of these men have a habit of fixing everything they find improper in your apartment. The locks on your door have been reinforced and reinstalled repeatedly. The loose window is now crammed shut, permanently you assume after struggling to open it yourself. Thankfully they fixed the AC too. Even household chores are done for you, especially when it gets out of hand. Piles of laundry, dishes and trash overwhelming your exhausted head that they so eagerly take care of. Maybe you should pick up some slack in case they believe you want them to keep taking care of you.
Recently, they've started leaving gifts on the inside of your door. As close as gifts can get from two crazed stalkers. Some of it is normal, like medication, snacks, and items you'd only buy to treat yourself on a good day. Others, not so much. Small bones and human teeth, knives with stains that look fresh, dog tags of men you've never even heard of. You got a pair of gloves, mismatched, dirt and blood still caked into the fabrics. This is personal to them. A sacrifice in return for something you don't want to give up yet. You hope the day you get a replica of their masks doesn't come anytime soon.

Here's to the people (me included) who aren't foodies.
To the people who don't find the same nostalgic joy in food that a lot of other people seem to. To the people who are too sensitive to smells; who can't bring themselves to chop fresh onions and instead buy them pre-cut and frozen; who hate the way their whole house will stink of cooking after doing so no matter how many windows and doors they open to get rid of it.
To the people whose palettes aren't refined and who still eat like toddlers because they know Food is Fuel but don't care for its intricacies beyond that. Who have the same rotation of meals every week because they know what they like, and honestly? It's sometimes cheaper not to experiment.
To the people who honestly think cooking and eating is a bit of a chore; who are fast eaters and don't really know how to savour their food (or care to do so).
I find myself sometimes surrounded by people who love food and it's so overwhelming that I sometimes feel ill. Maybe there will be a few people who watch me who feel the same.

Rant post. Ignore this, just purging the negative thoughts that are overwhelming me at the moment.
Having another breakdown, I really wished I lived alone right now. I start APPE rotations in a few months so that means I need to get all my onboarding paperwork and vaccination stuff done by February. There's so much to do right I can't seem to focus on just one thing, much less start on anything at all right now.
And then my mom telling me about the nasty crap my dad has been doing. I mean nasty unhygienic crap that is affecting our heaths. It was so triggering at the moment that all I could think about was "I'm probably also going to have to clean the shower before I shower again." Context: my dad doesn't wash well, and from the smell and condition of the bathtub when he'd done showering, I'm certain, he's not wiping after using the toilet either. Having to clean the bathtub every time before I shower is tiring it makes me hate showering. Not to mention the smell of the cleaner also bothers my airways. It's bad enough that I have to worry about my dad tampering with my soap, face cleanser and shampoo, that I have to carry every thing with me between the bathroom and my bedroom every time I shower as well. It all makes showering a time-consuming chore. Maybe that's a contributing reason for skipping showers these days. I have a handy dandy squirt bottle I use to clean up on skip days at least. Also, whoever invented wet wipes is the best.
Just thinking about how much I could have gotten done over the winter break had I lived alone though. The days I could have had to myself instead of driving my mom around to shop for groceries. I would have been able to clean up my room (my dad was home from work for much of the holiday so that delayed a lot because there was stuff I have to hide from him of course).
Then there was Christmas eve where my mom mopped this small stretch of tile and told us to be careful around it. No more than five minutes later, I forgot about it and came around with my plate of dinner in my hand and slipped and fell, hurting my back and leg, and straining my abdominal muscles. My food fell everywhere of course. Had I lived alone, it wouldn't have happened. But also, had I had the time to get an appointment with a psychiatrist, I probably would have been diagnosed by now, and wouldn't have forgotten such an important detail in the first place. There'd likely be no attention issues then...but to have the time to get an appointment, living alone would have been ideal as well. Study time is just better when you don't have to worry about other people. Out of sight, out of mind.
Living by myself, I would be able to have a clean room for once. I wouldn't have to sleep on a bed that I'm also storing a box of cookies on just because my dad "just might poison it". Or the whole 4-tier shelf of snacks I have in my room for the same reason, along with skincare and hair care products that should be stored in the bathroom but you know...he tampers with stuff to the point we start itching or our hair starts falling out. Don't get me started on the symptoms we get when he messes with the food.
My mom's defense for me not moving out is that it's not safe and that I should save money. 1) I'd be using loan money from school. I did the math and the added amount really doesn't make much of a difference when you look at the total I'll owe from between undergrad and pharmacy school. 2) Safe? She's worried about someone hurting me over there? Someone breaking in and hurting me? What about here at home? I have to constantly worry about if the food in the fridge is safe for me to eat. I don't feel safe in my own bedroom because she's always like "he goes into your room when you're in the shower", and now I gotta wonder if he finally managed plant a hidden camera in there. I already knows he likes to record random women on the street and send it to his nephew and make disgusting comments about them. I know he always wanted to record my mom in sexual ways. And he for sure knew what my brother was doing to me when I was 5 years old. At 18, my dad even tried to record me sucking suggestively on a lollipop (I didn't realize I was eating it weird. It was family movie night and I was distracted). I will never forget the night how furious he got when he found out I lock my bedroom door when I go to sleep. It haunts me. And now, my mom has to constantly remind me not to fall asleep on the chair in the living room when she's not out there because I have to worry about my dad r*ping me like he has her when she was asleep.
Over winter break, there was one instance I couldn't help it. We finished family movie night (in living room) and my mom was going into the shower. She made sure I was awake before walking away but I was so tired my eyes closed without me realizing. I was still conscious at least but only of my body and some sounds around me. I couldn't move or open my eyes. I felt myself drifting off but I was able to gain the strength to pull myself out of it. I hear my dad using the hand-held muscle massager to massage (but I didn't know what) and then I heard his footsteps getting closer. Maybe it was nothing but I opened my eyes a little and saw he had the massager by his crotch and he was walking towards me. At the same time, my mom came out to check up on me once more before going into the shower and when she showed up, my dad stopped walking and kinda jumped up like he was up to no good, I don't know if I was seeing correctly, but it was like he then quickly shifted the massager to the top of his thigh and told her that he had a leg cramp when she decided to ask him what's wrong. It was just so weird, I wasn't sure if I saw this whole situation correctly. He spent quite some time to work out the "cramp" on the exercise equipment so I don't know...maybe I was being paranoid. But that moment just keeps replaying in my mind and still feels so unsettling as much as it did that night.
Now I'm really worried about starting rotations. I'm not sure my mom plans on divorcing him any time soon. I told her she needs to start planning and that we can't be moving while I do residency. It's now or never. But honestly, it's probably too late for that because I'm way too busy for all that now. I got 4 quizzes due this week and 2 assignments, plus lectures to catch up on. And now onboarding to worry about. Last semester was the best time to initiate my plan, which was to get the apartment so we'd have a place to run to (because her plan was to leave him after I graduate pharmacy school) but she squandered it, quite possibly dooming the both of us.
The astrologer she recommended I get a reading from two years ago said that the people who think they know what's best for me will only bring me down to their level. He also said that I can't live with family because they will always be a source of grief for me. It's all true, and I probably didn't need an astrologer to tell me that, but it's kind of funny when someone outside of your family and life, who knows nothing about you, says it.
I feel it all just building up again, but I bet in a couple months when I have another emotional breakdown, my mom will once again think it came out of no where like she did the other times. And by emotional breakdown, I mean coming home crying and freaking out, avoiding her, avoiding all triggering conversation by either not talking or just walking away, and then she'll take it all personally again and make it about her feelings like she did last time.

I want to write, but every time I sit down my mind goes away.
And not in the good sense of going into the novel I'm writing, where I imagine everything and the story, but no.
Brain chooses that I need to focus on my worries instead, so I shut down.
Idk how much I can pour out of this cup. Since I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder I don't do well in stressful situations, because I go into "I need to remove myself from this situation" mode as soon as possible, i get tachycardia and the other day I discovered my pressure goes up (psychiatrist measured it).
Sometimes I can sleep it off, sometimes I get a few drops of an anxiety med, but these days neither work - I'm out of coping mechanisms except for spending my day reading, but I have to work.
My job is taking decisions too, but when your mind is somewhere else it's difficult to be able to take a choice. No matter how good I am usually at my job, I can't. I also can't take any other paid leave because I wanted to save these days but more importantly we don't currently have people to substitute me.
I had to pause everything I was doing with others, my courses, the exams I needed to take for my professions.
I'm in this limbo where everything has stopped for me but not for everyone else, and I'm somewhat expected to ~ do something ~ and just do the things, but I can't. I can't on a good day sometimes because my brain is broken, now I'm just here waiting everything out. With my poor perception of time, 9 hours of work, chores (I need to hire a housekeeper too) and the list of the things I'm supposed to do rotating in my mind non-stop.
I should just wait, I know. I've been feeling bad in a way I haven't for years but this time it's not my brain tricking me, it's true.
I jump every time my mom's phone rings. I jump every time my own phone rings because when you're expecting bad News this is how it works.
The day before we were talking like usual, then I got that call from my mom and there was a 200 km drive where I cried and half-proposed to my boyfriend.
My mom that sucks delivering information, my sister that's even more of a confrontational person than I am and keep pestering the doctors with the same questions.
I took 4 days off work, out of miracle, but then I had to restart and I have to keep the trash bin next to my desk because I feel nauseous all day long.
Fortunately my coworkers are cutting me a lot of slack btw. And I WFH so I was able to stay here with my mom with no issue.
And since my cats are not eating and peeing outside the box I need to go home (also I'm out of clothes, panties everything), because those two are used to have me all day long for themselves and I just disappeared.
It has been a hell of 10 days. 0/10 not recommended. I will also translate this post and hand it to my therapist because really, I'm out of resources.

Oooh, I've been rotating a Cybertronian Cinderella AU story in my mind for a while. It's not even a long story, maybe about five chapters with three thousand words each, but I don't have time to write it down properly. Here is the summary:
The Delphi crew receives an invitation to a three day medical seminar in Iacon and Pharma decides he and First Aid should go. Ambulon has to stay on Messatine and look after the patients, but he strikes a deal with Pharma that if he cleans the entire clinic and organizes everything perfectly, he can go instead of First Aid.
It is impossible to do all the chores in such a short time, but Ambulon works day and night to meet Pharma's conditions and First Aid and some of the patients even help him. He finishes just as their shuttle arrives and Pharma is impressed, but then he says they still can't take him with them because under all this stress his paint has suffered and he doesn't look presentable to the public. He tries to repaint himself and runs out of the clinic just in time to watch the transport shuttle take off and he is left alone with all the patients.
That's when the DJD comes in >:-)
As soon as the alarms start blaring, he connects a datapad to the surveillance system to track the DJD members' location. He sets a few traps and distractions and gets the patents safely outside, they overpower the lone DJD member who has stayed inside the Peaceful Tyranny, dump them in the snow and take off, course set on Cybertron.
The DJD follows them (they have hailed a nearby Decepticon ship and know exactly where they are heading), until they land in Iacon. Ambulon finds a medic (Red Alert) of the local clinic who is friendly enough to grant them sanctuary and he explains his predicament. This other medic offers to take him to the seminar, but Ambulon has to wear a disguise and stay clear off Pharma's and First Aid's path while listening to and watching 'real' medics talk about their jobs.
Then the clock strikes twelve and he notices that his two colleagues are leaving. He swears he sees Tarn glaring at him from the shadows. That is when he decides he’s been here long enough and he leaves. His paranoia makes him jump at shadows and run towards the kind medic’s clinic where he is welcome to stay during the three days, but oh no, it turns out that Ratchet has found out about his presence here. In desperation, he pleads and begs him not to tell Pharma, willing to do anything the older mech asked him to do, and so the next orn he finds himself cleaning a part of the much larger clinic where Red Alert works at.
He finishes the entire floor by the evening and sneaks out to attend the seminar again, but this time he is openly chased by the DJD through the dimly lit streets to the event. When he is in reach of the auditorium, they leave him alone, but now he is frightened to his core and has to calm himself down for a few minutes before he can enter the hall. The evening goes by fast and Ambulon thinks that First Aid may have spotted him, but he doesn’t come by to verify if it was truly him. He leaves at around the same time, but runs all the way to the clinic as fast as he can and he goes into fitful recharge the moment he finds himself in the safety of his provisional habsuite.
The next day isn’t much better, but the people leave him alone and he thinks of a plan how to outsmart the DJD when they take off early in the morning. But his plans are never needed, as the DJD bursts into the auditorium during a presentation and all the medics are held hostage. Tarn threatens to kill someone for every minute that passes, until Ambulon shows himself, but he immediately gives himself up to them and he fears the worst.
But much to his surprise, Pharma steps up and yells at Tarn for endangering his subordinates (he is beyond furious about the T-Cog replacements as well) and First Aid comes to stand by his side. More medics gather behind his back and soon the DJD is stared down by a large bunch of medics.
Tarn starts singing, Helex readies the furnace, Vos takes hold of his mask, Kaon starts producing electricity, Tesarus opens his knife stomach and the pet bares its fangs, but it all comes to a halt when Pharma stabs a scalpel into Tarn’s vocaliser. All hell breaks loose and many medics are injured in the following fight, but the sheer amount of medics and the security personnel successfully drives off the DJD.
Angry questions are asked (from Pharma's side), defeated answers are given (from Ambulon's side), but in the end, the three medics pat each other on the back and return to Red Alert's clinic to see their patients. Then, Prowl asks them to go back to Messatine and they really don’t want to, but insubordination is not an option and they accept their defeat, albeit grumbling and cursing the mech to the pit and back.
That's pretty much the entire story.

TWST OC LORE
---------childhood with parents_____________
Okay so to start off: Mom is from twst and ended up in Japan with no way home. She's from a family based off the 3 fates so clairvoyance/empathy run in the family. Dad is from a super traditional Japanese family who didn't approve of Mom so he left to marry her. (I'm still deciding if she has a little brother or not)
Kai takes after her mom's side with clairvoyance/empathy and bright red hair. Her magic runs off blot, negative emotion, curses, etc instead of magic in the air since there is none. Her magic ended up more refined which attracts spirits and apparitions. Her dad was able to scare off most of them in childhood but he left (with her little brother of only 1yr) when he could no longer handle it/to protect her brother.
Her mom does her best as a single mother. She also gives Kai a necklace that her own mom gave her. It's enchanted and part of the reason her mom has been okay (her mom is aware of this but isn't confident she can protect her daughter on her own). Kai starts doing everything she can to support her mom like learning how to cook, do errands, chores, minor repairs. She also starts being quiet about the spirits and tends to any injuries herself. This applies to any bullies at school too. Her mom is losing magic and accumulating blot, neither can be fixed in a world with no magic. She starts to seem ill and is acting strangely, sometimes confused as if she doesn't recognize anything and sometimes cruel.
One day, the blot drives her to nearly kill her daughter. Frightened that she might not come to herself next time and knowing what's happening, she commits suicide.
Kai is taken to the hospital due to shock and the after she wakes, is told the state set up a funeral and it's tomorrow. Some of her mom's coworkers and neighbors come. Some of her dad's family come though her dad and her brother don't. Her dad's family think very lowly of her and her mother but Kai loved her mom and was proud of her despite everything so some snide words are exchanged. Kai goes to an orphanage rather than her dad's family.
______childhood as orphan(age 10)________
The Orphanage in question is actually a rather nice place. The staff are kind and there's not so many kids that it feels overwhelming. There are shared rooms and beds are rotated every other month so kids don't get too attached to each other so it hurts less when one is adopted.
Kai is never adopted but develops a father-daughter like relationship with the neighbor who she plays strategy games with such as chess and go. He's an auto mechanic and he runs a dojo part time. She also eventually ends up the go to big sister at the orphanage due to the skills she developed to help support her mom and her overall kind manner.
She's about 10 when she is at the orphanage and feels it's unlikely that she'll be adopted and unlikely she'll want to (one well meaning prospect asked if she wanted a new mom and Kai definitely did not). She does a few things to make money for herself to save and spend. She does and makes crafts to sell at craft fairs. She eventually gets two part-time jobs when she's a bit older.
She also gets more comfortable dealing with spirits and realizes not all of them are bad or dangerous. She obtains a churchgrim as a familiar by accident. When visiting her mom's grave (at first each week on the day she died) she notices a big black dog sleeping off to the side. She realizes a patch of brambles is actually a very overgrown grave. She decides to clean it since it seems like the grave is important to the dog. She hurts her hand on some of the thorns. The dog locks her hand and she decides to start calling the dog Frey. She doesn't see the dog at the graveyard again and hopes he found a good, new home (spoiler: it's her. Her is home. Frey hanging in her shadow)
She is transferred to a new school once at the orphanage. This school is where she meets Yuu and becomes close friends with him.
_____shrine and dealing with ghosts________
Her ability to deal with spirits gets some notice and she's asked if she'd like a part-time job at the local shrine (she's 12 but they need help and keep her age in mind regarding her work) Slow days, she works as a priestess-in-training but otherwise she's brought along on various outings to deal with spirits. Or is tasked with repairing things with the use of her clairvoyance which, among other things, let's her see the memory/spirit of an item. Most jobs aren't particularly dangerous but there are a few that standout.
(Need help here. The ideas I have is an old nature spirit that acts as a sort of teacher but also has an unhealthy attachment. I think she eventually has to put him to rest. Her mom's phantom which Kai ultimately purifys so her mom can pass on. It gives her closure even if it sucks. Some type of old trickster spirit who i think is gunna be the one who kills her. And an old kitsune who is basically treated like a deity who takes a liking to Kai.)
Kai does die at some point and manages to come back. Spirits and creature view her differently after this with a mix of fear and respect. She no longer registers as human to them.
__________the past comes back____________
She eventually gets a 2nd part time job at a traditional japanese cafe. She's grilled on all proper manners for her work. She kinda enjoys it however as she likes kimono but doesn't wear them much as she's been told she sticks out (she has a bit of a complex about being seen as less Japanese for her mom's heritage despite being born and raised there).
She does happen to meet her brother and father by accident. Which prompts her building a relationship with her brother since he's turned out a spoiled rich kid. She's the first person to really scold him so he starts to seek her out on his own. She realizes how much of a cowardly person her dad actually is and it helps her resolve guilt she had carried for years, blaming herself for his leaving.
____________magic and twisted____________
[Tentative]
She does develop some skill but nothing she thinks of as magic. Her clairvoyance and empathy allow her to see emotion, memory, nature, truth, and motive of creatures, objects and things. She used to require touch for this but if an emotion is strong enough, she can see/feel it. She can amplify a person's present emotion of siphon it off. She can't make people feel what they don't. She gets overwhelmed easily by these things though it's gotten better over time (especially after her mom gave her that necklace). Since she runs on blot and other negatives, those around her get a buff in luck. She's also able to purify things like phantoms by taking on some of their blot. Taking on too much can make her seriously ill. She's taught archery and purifying at the shrine so she's technically using light magic tho unaware. She can make use of Frey, her familiar, and work with spirits to cast otherwise. She also unconsciously uses magic to aid in repairs. Her emotions can also make her magic act out without her really knowing like she gets mad and something breaks.
She and Yuu are walking home from school one night and get picked up by the dark carriage so -> twst
She's mistaken as a boy due to her oversized hoodie and decides to say nothing. The ghosts are easier to manage at the dorm since she's there. Yuu and Grimm get admitted as a student (I'm thinking Crowley sees no reason to admit Kai since she doesn't seem to have magic. Her necklace hides it and her magic feels different due to her growing in a different environment). So she focuses on fixing up and repairing the dorm. She approaches Ignihyde in hopes of borrowing tools and getting access to their junkyard if they have one. She forms a fast friendship with Idia and Ortho this way.
She runs into various characters before ever getting admitted. Naturally, she knows Ace and Duece from the beginning. She likes them but doesn't trust them as much as Yuu. She's overall distrustful of most at twst save Ortho and Idia.
She meets Malleus with Yuu at Ramshackle but has a bigger habit of taking walks at night. Walking together starts to be a routine.
She meets Lilia in the Ramshackle Dorm garden one night as well. He seems to think it's a good stargazing spot (mentioned in his lab card).
She meets Leona (and Ruggie) by going to the botanical garden for some quiet to draw. They generally leave each other alone though at one point start playing chess together.
By extension, she meets Rook because she notices him stalking Leona. It becomes a routine for her to tell him to buzz off. (At least one occasion includes calling on Frey to chase him off. Rook and Leona both seem to think this means she has magic. Kai asks if you need magic for a familiar and assures them she's not magic)
By further extension, she meets Vil in an attempt to have him control Rook a bit more. An off-hand comment about her complexion makes her snappy since any skin care she had was back in Japan. She leaves confused and with a few skincare items that he "was getting rid of anyway." (Anxious that this leaves her in his debt, she tries to find a way to repay him. At one point they bond over botany)
She meets Azul, Floyd, and Jade when asking about part-time work to make extra money. She runs into Ruggie here as well.
She meets Riddle, Carter, and Trey during the events of chapter 1. Out of the 3, she interacts with Trey the most. Usually asking to borrow various kitchen supplies at the trade off of her helping him here and there (though occasionally for whatever she's cooking).
(Chapter 1 causes her necklace to break. She reluctantly asks Crowley for help but he's unsuccessful and concludes it can't be fixed with magic though with no reason why. More occasions of "wild magic" happen around her when her emotions run high such as random things shaking or breaking or plants perking up or wilting.)
She runs into Riddle on various occasions at the library too. She started going in an attempt to learn more about this world (frustrated that she and Yuu were treated like idiots for not knowing these things and frustrated with how helpless she felt at this lack of knowledge).
She meets Jamil by chance in the hallway. She turns a corner and runs right into him, knocking several things from his hand. She's already seen him around a few times and he always seems pretty busy. She apologizes and helps collect his things but still feels a bit bad for the encounter. She later delivers a bento to Scarabia, stating that he seems so busy that she wonders if he gets the chance to eat enough. She occasionally asks if he needs help.
She meets Kalim by extension at this time. His high energy and friendly manner put her a bit on edge since few students seem to exude that. From that point on, Kalim would wave when he saw her. Kai is a bit confused by this.
She meets Jack during the events of chapter 2. She views him in a very positive manner from this and starts to interact with him when the chances come.
(Chapter 2 reveals she's unaffected by unique magic that's directed at her due to her magic having developed differently and her half-dead status though neither of these facts are known by her or anyone else. She seems like she's getting sick since her necklace broke.)
The events of chapter 3 cause her to quit working at Monstro and treat Azul, Jade, and Floyd with some level of hostility. She looks around for other paid work she can take up.
(Crowley approaches her and Yuu with another request/veiled threat and between her strange growing sickness, the stress from overblots and other chores, and being surrounded by seeming uncaring individuals while being lost in an unrecognizable world Kai loses it on him. A swell of magic lashes out and breaks an entire wall of windows. Kai promptly passes out, running a serious fever)
(Kai's sickness was due to her body drawing on blot and the magic in the air as a source resulting in her being ill with magic overflow. It's discovered by staff that she's a girl but being that there's no girl's school and she refuses to leave Yuu, she's set to be admitted as another special category student after break. Her gender remains something like an open secret. She's given a special charm that blocks her access to the magic in the air.)
By the end of Chapter 4, she's left with a much higher opinion of Ace and Duece, now trusting them as much as Yuu. She feels indebted to the Octa trio and later visits Monstro with bento boxes to express gratitude (and make sure Azul can't use this against them). Her opinion of Jamil and Kalim doesn't really change though she encourages Kalim to use this as a chance to learn how to be more competent as an individual.
Kai admits as a student and meet Ephel and Sebek in the freshman class. Sebek immediately rubs her the wrong way with how loud and obnoxious he is. Eventually, he starts to remind her of an overzealous guard dog which actually improves her perception of him.
Not long after, she comes across Silver sleeping on campus. She accidentally wakes him while shooing a squirrel off him. He remarks that he didn't mean to fall asleep and it seems to happen often. Kai asks if he's narcoleptic but he doesn't seem to know what that is. She parts from him and wonders if treating it like narcolepsy could be helpful to him.
(Kai's studies in the library prove useful however her magic skill is mixed at best. She can handle complicated and delicate things like healing, repairing, growing plants, sleep magic, etc but struggles with simple magic like floating objects, flying, casting elements. The more refined nature of her magic is the cause of this but she's unsure how to fix it. Her best work around is working with spirits to cast those things)

大家好! LL had gone back to Shan Dong to visit family for a few weeks; when she returned, she was eager to catch up. Over a ton of food (all the dishes were for just the 2 of us, which we finished) and, of course, pu er cha (Pu Erh tea), she told me about the food, the fun she had and cherished moments with loved ones. The rest did my friend good; LL was glowing, refreshed and full of vitality. The food was very delicious, including the stirfried egg whites with crab (last pic).

Besides freshly squeezed fruit juice, stalls also sell homemade barley drinks. For those of us trying to reduce our reliance on coffee outside of work, these beverages are great substitutes. There isn't a fruit stall at the coffee shop I was having lunch at; after a filling meal of steamed fish, tomato scrambled eggs, tofu, as well as stirfried celery and spinach, I chose an iced homemade barley drink over iced local coffee. Besides helping to quench thirst and cool body temperatures, it offers other health benefits. Local coffee may contain less sugar than some blended coffees at international coffee chains, but it's good to switch to other beverages when we don't need the caffeine hit.

Moving onto nuts and seeds, like veggies and fruit, I rotate them to derive the most benefits. The 2 packets shown below contain about 1.5 handfuls of sunflower kernels each. Since I'm not a vegan and there're already healthy fats in eggs and fish, these seeds, alternated with fruit as snacks in between meals, last 1 - 2 weeks. I get hungry easily because I'm quite active; SW has heard my stomach growl way before it was time for lunch! I don't diet; I just eat nutritious balanced meals and snacks and exercise daily.

youtube
How often I exercise: I do daily calisthenics and work different parts of my body everyday for at least an hour every morning. After a very heavy meal, I stroll to help with digestion. If I'm up for it on weekends, I do aerobics or dance on top of my daily calisthenics for up to 45 minutes. It doesn't feel like over-exercising because I enjoy what I do and don't force myself to do extra if I feel tired. Kids my generation ran around and played games (physical games, not online ones) for hours when we were younger and that was considered normal; what I do now is normal too.
On top of the above, there're household chores and, by supporting our government's push to green living, I walk or take public transport on weekends instead of relying on the car. All of it adds up and explains my pretty large appetite. I don't diet simply because I get hangry if I don't eat. And this, guys, is how I remain very active and mobile almost halfway through 46yo. 下次见!

Chore Chart? We Don’t Need No Steenking Chore Chart!
Fandom: A3!
Characters: All Troupes
Warnings: A little swearing, otherwise this is a totally clean fic. Pun intended.
Genre: fluff/slice of life
Words: 5K (help, I’m crazy)
Tumblr media
Generally speaking, all of the boys are responsible for keeping their personal rooms neat. And once a month there’s a dorm-wide deep-clean of bedrooms that includes vacuuming, washing the windows, wiping down the baseboards, clearing out cobwebby corners, etc, etc. And then Sakyo inspects your room, and woe to you if you don’t meet his standards. (This wasn’t how things started, btw, but after SOMEONE (cough.Itaru.cough) kept eating during all-night gaming sessions and then not cleaning up, the dorm got ants before opening night of Romeo and Julius.) Sakyo actually inspects weekly, but that’s a quick glance-around to make sure things are neat and nothing is broken. Everyone is also responsible for their own laundry, but that’s kind of a given since no one wants to deal with anyone else’s dirty clothes.
The issue, though, is the rest of the dorm. They have cleaners for the actual theatre, and part of rehearsal time in the practice rooms involves a quick sweep and mirror-clean. No, the problem is the common areas of the dorm building. Mankai funds don’t extend to a weekly housekeeper. In order to keep the dorm actually clean and running smoothly, Izumi starts a rotating chore chart. This…kind of works. Eventually, everyone winds up with a steady chore instead of rotating between them all. The only additional problem was SOME people (cough.Itaru.cough) simply conning others to do their chores. Eventually, Izumi had to make a rule that anyone taking on someone else’s chores gets paid by the original chore-holder. This eliminated a lot of the issues with people taking advantage of the people-pleasers in the company.
(Twice a year, they also do some major deep-cleaning as a whole crew. Loud music, dancing with the mops and brooms, the smell of lemon pledge and floor-cleaner. The whole deal. Everything gets taken out of drawers and evaluated, tons of things get chucked, and every single thing in the dorm is cleaned. No one will admit they have fun doing it, but everyone admits they like how the dorm feels when they’re done.)
As for their assigned chores…..
Tumblr media
Spring Troupe:
Sakuya: A lot of the families he stayed with wound up using him as free labor, so he knows how to do all of the surface stuff. He loves Mankai and would probably take on half the chores himself if everyone let him. (This is why we have chore charts, Sakuya.) He’s so good-natured that even Itaru kind of feels bad taking advantage of his goodwill, but Sakuya is savvier than they all think. He uses the chores to make a few bucks a week - but only for people who are overwhelmed or busy or sick. During midterms and finals, he rakes in the dough. His own weekly chore is window washing. There are a LOT of windows in the dorms, so this is a heck of a job. He LOVES it. Something about leaving the windows perfectly sparkling just makes him completely happy. He gets to walk through the whole dorm, winds up chatting with everyone. It takes a few hours, but he smiles every time he sees the sun shining through the glass. The combination of socializing and taking care of his home and feeling like he did a good job that people appreciate is almost a drug to him.
Masumi: Rich kid had housekeepers, so even learning to clean is a challenge. Izumi has to suck it up and teach him, but at least he catches on real quick and realizes that a clean dorm makes her happy. Like Sakuya, now he has to stick to the chore chart to avoid him cleaning everything for free. Except Sakuya just wants his friends to be happy and his home to be clean, and Masumi wants to be able to tell Izumi that he cleaned the entire dorm for her. Because he’ll do anything so long as it gets him praise from Izumi, he’s eventually put on washing dishes. It’s a daily chore instead of a weekly one, so he can show Izumi every day how much he loves her! Everyone is responsible for getting their own plates into the dishwasher, but he’s in charge of the pots and pans from cooking. He starts this because it allows him to stay in the kitchen with Izumi while she cleans up, but he keeps doing it once Omi joins the troupe and takes over the cooking. Omi is one of the few people he really likes (usually). Masumi is meticulous about his washing because anything less than perfection is unacceptable when the target of his obsession affection is at stake, so all of the kitchen gear is usually spotless. Omi winds up taking Masumi under his wing and teaching him a lot about cooking - and Masumi actually enjoys it when Omi teaches him how to season a cast-iron skillet.
Tsuzuru: Between his part-time jobs, scriptwriting, college classes, wrangling spring troupe into something resembling good behavior, and the actual acting, Tsuzuru is already busy 24/7. He wants to help, he really does. He spent his early years cleaning and his teenage years teaching and encouraging his younger brothers to take care of the house. But he’s just…so….tired. He’s one of the only ones that Izumi and Sakyo take pity on when it comes to the chore list. His job is mostly to “help a bit” if he sees someone struggling or confused over their chore (which, let’s face it, he’d do anyway). And, so it doesn’t look too much like favoritism, he spends one day a month clearing out and reorganizing the prop storage with a few of the others. He actually really likes this, because looking at all the old props gives him a lot of ideas for future scripts. He also sometimes does other people’s chores for cash when he has time. Unlike Sakuya, he doesn’t discriminate - money is money.
Itaru: “F!” The only way you’re getting this guy to do chores is if it’s something he can do while using up energy in one of his games. So things like cleaning the bathroom are out (wet hands and buckets of water plus his phone equals disaster). In the beginning, he was one of the ones who paid Tsuzuru, Sakuya, and literally anyone else to do his chores until Izumi said he wasn’t allowed to be a lazy shit and leech off others. He had to try his hand at every single chore and pick one. And then he had to stick to it unless there were extenuating circumstances, like illness or a business trip. Eventually, he settles into vacuuming and dusting. It doesn’t hurt the cleaning at all if he stops vacuuming for five minutes to set up another battle and then goes back to it. Same with the dusting. There’s a lot of rugs in the main dorms, and a lot of knickknacks to dust. With how often he stops to take care of his games, he winds up taking HOURS to do his job - but it gets done. And he REALLY likes the feeling of freshly vacuumed rug under his bare feet.
Citron: He’s a prince, so he’s never done a minute of housework in his entire life. But it’s all new and so much fun to learn! The problem is that he’s terrible at it. After months of badly washed dishes, freshly-swept floors that still crunch with grit, and gardens where the grass is high, the flowers have been clipped off, and everyone actually gets to see Tsumugi angry enough to yell, Sakyo finally relegates him to grocery shopping. That’s…that’s it. It’s the only thing he can be trusted to do on his own without screwing it up. And only the farmer’s market. He charms the madams and gets them deals, so that helps everyone. He’s also part of the “can be tagged to help” team for almost any heavy chore…so long as someone else is supervising.
Chikage: Doesn’t seem to like cleaning, but he really appreciates having a home and endeavors to keep that home clean. He’s really good at picking up after himself around the dorm and you’ll NEVER find anything of his left out of its spot. Because of his day job, he has most of his free time on the weekends, so that’s when he does his part for the dorm. Part of his job is to go around the dorm and make sure all the pictures, flyers, etc, are straight on the walls. He also does the weekly possession round-up. Everyone knows that on Sundays, the dorms need to be immaculate for Sakyo’s inspections. So, on Saturday nights (early Sunday mornings if he’s got a Saturday night performance), Chikage goes through the dorms and rounds up any stray items and delivers them into the rooms of their owners. He somehow knows who every single item belongs to, even if it’s something as impersonal as a yellow pencil. It’s kind of creepy.
Tumblr media
Summer Troupe:
Tenma: Another rich kid who’s never done anything resembling manual labor in his life. Starts to put up a fuss (“Don’t we have staff for this?”) until Yuki calls him an incompetent, stupid child for being unable to turn on a vacuum. He tries his hand at everything, but his head just isn’t in it. He’s almost as bad at housework as he is at getting somewhere without getting lost. He’s all about delivering perfection, and housework (especially in a huge dorm like this) will never be perfect. It frustrates him. He gets something perfectly clean, and ten minutes later it’s messed up again. He’s so obsessed with keeping the areas he’s responsible for clean that he winds up starting even more fights. After one bad shouting match with Yuki, Izumi tells him to take a walk while she thinks. He goes to storm out of the dorm but, while getting his shoes, he randomly straightens the rest. Because of his desire for perfection and his love of traditional Japanese spaces, he winds up being in charge of the entrance area. Every night, he sorts out the jumble of shoes and slippers that collect by the door. He finds the mates for every stray shoe, sets them up neatly, and makes sure that dorm member slippers are separated from guest slippers. Somehow, it reminds him of his bonsais. Woe to you if you mess up his system.
Yuki: Where else would you put Yuki, except in charge of the costumes? Like Tsuzuru, he’s dealing with school and acting AND the additional work of costume designer, creator, and master. Asking him to do dishes or whatever on top of it seems excessive. So, like Tsuzuru, once a month he deals with the costume/fabric room. He reorganizes it, inspects everything for damage by mice or moths, mentally catalogs what’s already available to him for the future, and uses it as inspiration. This doesn’t sound like it should be too bad, but he’s constantly rearranging the fabric section. Sometimes he sorts things by fabric content, sometimes by the weight and drape, sometimes by color. It’s why no one asks to help him - one wrong move and he’ll snarl at you. He also airs out the older costumes, makes sure everything is stored correctly based on its fabric content, and draws designs of his ideal costume storage area to spring on Sakyo for funding. He’s also an assistant in the strange housekeeping category called “atmosphere.”
Muku: He’s one of the ones it was easy for the others to take advantage of, before Izumi’s payment system, because he just wants everyone else to be happy. And he doesn’t believe he deserves leisure time in the same way the others do. He still picks up money doing other people’s chores, but now it’s because it helps fund his manga addiction. However, he never does the chores…right. Like Itaru, he struggles to keep his mind on the task he’s performing, but with him it’s because his imagination runs wild. In his head, he’s playing the role of the lowly peasant cleaning the floors of the princess’ palace, catching glimpses of her and wishing he could express his love, and before he knows it he’s trying to mop the couch or about to mix bleach and ammonia. Sakyo eventually makes him dorm librarian, which isn’t exactly a housekeeping chore, but it suits him. It also keeps him away from the cleaning chemicals. There’s a lot of books and scripts in the dorm, and someone is always looking for one right at the time someone else has it. So Muku keeps a log online of who has what, and he updates it about once a week. Due to his strength, he’s also an Assistant Heavy-Thing-Mover.
Misumi: Mostly he’s responsible for cleaning anything above shoulder-height. Misumi’s the one who dusts the tops of shelves or the blades of the ceiling fan. He cleans out the cobwebs in the corners of the 12-foot ceilings. Without a ladder. He’s also the one who cleans his own footprints off the walls. He doesn’t have a set schedule, but he always wants to do the best job he can so he cleans frequently. Additionally, any time someone finds a small triangle, they hide it where he’ll only find it while cleaning. It makes everyone nearby smile when they hear the cry of “Sankaku! Sankaku!” And suddenly Misumi shows up and tells them the story of how he found an onigiri eraser while dusting. (He knows troupe members are leaving him little gifts, and he loves them for it. The joy of finding a triangle is just as important as the triangle itself, and he loves them all for knowing that.) He’s the second Assistant Heavy-Thing-Mover, and he also picks up extra cash doing extra chores sometimes.
Kazunari: He’s big on presentation and the appearance of things, so it’s no surprise that he’s actually neat. He’s unfortunately also trying to see everything as art, or off in his own social-media-la-la-land, so it’s hard to pin him down and get him to clean sometimes. He winds up being the Master of Stain Removal. You’d think that would be Yuki - and Kazunari does sometimes go to Yuki for specific issues - but he’s had to get so many different art supplies out of so many different fabrics that he’s actually pretty good at it already. Most of what he doesn’t know, he can find a video for on YouTube. He’s actually started a second Insta account for his stain removal videos, and it has a significant following. He helps the boys with stains in their laundry, takes care of the couches when someone spills something, and deals with issues with the carpets. Although this isn’t a “chore” the way, say, dusting is, it takes up the same amount of time and keeps the dorms looking fresh. He likes being needed, and every time someone compliments him and shows him a previously ruined shirt that looks new again, he feels cared about in a way he usually doesn’t.
Kumon: He’s pretty decent at all chores. He always had chores at home and he’s big into health, so he knows that a clean environment is part of maintaining a healthy body. He floats around, doing all the random, leftover chores on the chart every week. Until the flu hits Mankai. Because of his obsessive mask-wearing and hand-sanitizer use the second anyone so much as sneezes, he’s one of the few to escape getting sick. He spends his days sanitizing everything that’s high-touch - light switches, doorknobs, the handle on the fridge…it reaches a point where whenever anyone who’s sick walks through the dorm, he’s following them around and spraying anything they touch and wiping it down. (It annoys the absolute shit out of Banri. Only knowing he’s too sick to fight Juza right now keeps him from deliberately coughing in Hyodo Jr.’s face.) Sanitizing of high-touch areas becomes Kumon’s daily job, and he actually really enjoys doing it. (He thinks things like Lysol wipes are too wasteful, though, and he has his own spray bottle of homemade cleaner that he uses along with washable microfiber cloths.) He’s especially happy the next flu season when Izumi points out to him that only three people got sick, and they’re three of the people who work with the public regularly. She credits a lot of the health in the dorms to Kumon.

Autumn Troupe:
Banri & Juza: They got into a fight in the bathroom once, not long after they joined Mankai. By the end of the fight, one shower head was broken, water had soaked the entire room, there was blood in the towels, and, inexplicably, shaving cream all over the floor. After patching them up, it was surprisingly Izumi who read them the riot act and stood over them while they cleaned the bathroom and Omi replaced the shower head. Banri’s another rich kid who’s never done manual labor, but he picks up on everything instantly - even cleaning. Juza (like Kumon, duh) had chores at home, so this isn’t new to him. A few hours later, the bathroom was spotlessly clean. For awhile, every time they fought, they got assigned the communal bathrooms. Eventually, they just got assigned the bathrooms. Izumi saw it as a great way to get the bathrooms cleaned regularly, and Sakyo saw it as a team-building exercise. It actually worked - they wind up talking (okay, mostly snarking) while they’re cleaning (what else is there to do, right?) and the few hours a week they spend doing this chore do a LOT towards getting them to tolerate each other.
Taichi: He’s another one with more enthusiasm than skill, just in the opposite direction of Citron. Cleaning is a battle in him - he doesn’t want to clean, not at all. Cleaning is boring! But he also wants people to like him, and everyone likes and appreciates the person who cleans! So he leans towards popularity and overdoes everything. Instead of barely washing things, he washes them so hard he breaks them. He’ll spend an hour sweeping a single floor in order to make sure every iota of dust is picked up. This is so ridiculously inefficient that Izumi has to think of something he can do that will employ this meticulous nature. (She’s beyond shocked because one doesn’t normally think “meticulous” when they think about Taichi!) His job eventually becomes polishing and cleaning the wood furniture. He likes the smell of the wax and rubbing the product deep into the wood to produce a shine is oddly calming for his brain. He gets positively lost in the task. He does a couple of rooms every weekend after Itaru has finished the vacuuming and dusting.
Omi: Once everyone realized who the cook in the company was, no one else wanted to take the job. No matter what they cooked, there were complaints. The job of cooking then becomes a confusing mix of Izumi and her Curry Hell, and Omi, who can cook anything. So…the man cooks. He also does some of the shopping (he gets the essentials while Citron gets the farmer’s market stuff). He also makes sure the dishwasher is running at night and puts the dishes away in the morning. He also makes up plates and bento boxes out of leftovers for anyone who needs a lunch at work, or anyone who missed dinner. He ALSO cleans out the fridge once a week to make sure nothing starts growing in there. HE ALSO cleans out the cabinets during the deep cleans, making sure there’s no bugs in the flour and everything is clean and organized. A lot of the time, he winds up doing other people’s chores by accident. Someone make this man take a break.
Sakyo: I mean…we know the guy can clean. He’s too meticulous and organized to tolerate a dirty living space. But at this point, handling the finances of the dorms takes up a lot of his time. Add in his weekly, monthly, and biannual dorm and theatre inspections, and he’s pretty busy. But because he doesn’t trust anyone else with the company’s money, he’s also the main dorm shopper. He’s the guy you see at the warehouse stores trailing a bunch of teenagers and five carts worth of stuff. It takes a lot of time and planning to keep a dorm with 26 people in it stocked with things like toilet paper, paper towels, canned goods, drinks, and so forth. Then all of that stuff has to get transported home and then put away. The man’s old, give him a break. (Not really, but he thinks he is.)
Azami: Another rich kid, but if you think Sakyo didn’t make him do chores when he was younger, you’re crazy. At this point, he refuses to do anything that can cause skin damage, so no working outdoors or doing dishes for him. He tries to convince Sakyo that monitoring everyone’s skin care regimen should count as a chore. Sakyo doesn’t buy it. One day, after an absolutely BLAZING argument, Azami is told to inventory the dorm supplies. Just to be a little shit, he documents EVERYTHING in the dorms, down to the picture frames. Which are separate from the pictures inside them. This backfires, because Sakyo decides his permanent chore is to keep up with this inventory list. Out of spite, Azami tries to mess with it once or twice, but regrets it immensely when the dorm runs out of toilet paper during one of Izumi’s Curry Marathons. After that, he maintains the list regularly. Obviously things like the picture frames don’t need to be updated much, but knowing if they actually have a 10lb bag of rice in the pantry or if that got used last week is important. In the end, he kind of likes the responsibility and the feeling of taking care of the others. He hates the fact that he’s basically Sakyo’s assistant. (He will NEVER admit that he also kind of…likes…the fact that he’s Sakyo’s assistant.)
Tumblr media
Winter Troupe:
Tsumugi: Izumi doesn’t have to lift a finger to get Tsumugi to contribute. He actually asks permission to basically take over the garden, and she is more than happy to not have to fight with a bunch of teenagers over mowing the lawn. So Tsumugi smiles and goes back to his element. He takes care of the flowers, obviously, but also keeps the lawns mowed (with Tasuku’s help), the mulch fresh, the trees lightly pruned, and so forth. One of the guys tries to object one winter, stating that once the leaves fall off the trees, there’s nothing left to do and Tsumugi basically gets the winter off. Tsumugi takes the next weekend to teach the objector exactly how much work goes into a winter garden - especially one that is still in use and should be attractive. Keep in mind, he also grows food. You can grow beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and tons of other things in the cooler months. That’s not even to mention the number of decorative plants that grow well in winter. In fact, just to teach everyone a bit of a lesson, mischievous Tsumugi shanghais the whole dorm into helping him set up for spring. Gardening is no joke.
Tasuku: He likes routine, which is ironic considering he has the least-routine set of chores. The only chore he does regularly is taking out the garbage on his way out the door for his morning run. Otherwise, he occupies the position of Head Heavy-Thing-Mover. He’s also Mr. Fix-It. So he tends not to be called on unless something heavy needs to be moved, or something needs to be fixed. Given how often something is happening in the dorms, he’s got something to do almost every day, but it’s never the same thing. He kind of hates getting pulled away from what he’s doing every time one of those two things comes up - but his bruised sense of companionship is pleased that someone needs him and thinks to call on him instead of struggling by themselves. He kind of wishes he knew how to tell them that, because everyone (except Tsumugi) seems reluctant to approach him, and some of them, in the beginning, seem downright terrified. If he has nothing else to do, he winds up helping Tsumugi in the garden. He can barely tell the difference between a weed and some decorative grass, but he can haul mulch, mow the lawn, and follow directions. He also cleans the gutters a few times a year.
Hisoka: Uh…..good luck. He fell asleep while Izumi was explaining the chore chart. Izumi struggles for a long time to find a steady task for Hisoka. He initially resists cleaning at all, but when he sees everyone else contributing he feels bad enough to ask for a task. These people took him off the street and gave him a home, a purpose, and a family. The least he can do is a few chores. (Plus, Homare gives him marshmallows when he finishes something.) Together, he and Izumi try to figure out something he can do that utilizes his speed and agility. The problem is that housework isn’t a speed run, usually, it’s just repetitive and persistent. Izumi considered almost every chore, including the ones that only have to be done a few times a year, like cleaning the oven. Then she pictured Hisoka literally falling asleep with his head in the oven and gave up. Eventually he winds up salting the pavement after any kind of ice or snow, since he doesn’t slip on the ice. Finally Izumi has a brilliant idea and puts him in charge of the household laundry - not the personal laundry, but things like kitchen towels, bathroom rugs, couch blankets and cushion-covers, Kumon’s microfiber cloths, and so on. He can nap during the wash and dry cycles, and folding items like that takes no time at all.
Homare: Yet ANOTHER rich kid who grew up with staff that did the housework for him. It’s actually canon that Izumi had to teach him to clean up after himself. His brilliant idea is just to pay someone to come in and clean for the dorms. It’ll cost nothing! Nothing at all! It’s his gift! But by the time Winter Troupe joins, Izumi has seen the effect of the bathroom cleaning on Banri and Juza and now insists that cleaning the dorm is a team building activity and not to be foisted off on others. (Homare still has someone come in on Saturdays to clean his and Hisoka’s room rather than do it himself.) He considers being a Hisoka-minder his contribution to the dorm, but Izumi disagrees. He tries everything to get out of cleaning, but Izumi is implacable. He’s forced to attempt every chore, but he’s the worst combination of the worst members so far. He’s as bad at cleaning as Citron, as daydreamy as Muku, but he also just vanishes in the middle of whatever he’s doing in order to write a poem. Finally, he declares his contribution to the dorm to be “art.” He gets Juza to calligraphy some of his poems onto scrolls and replaces some of the more staid art with them. He replaces throw pillows that get destroyed. He also (supposedly anonymously, but everyone knows it's him) supplies or replaces things in the dorms for members who don’t have a lot of money. When Sakuya’s desk chair breaks, for instance, he comes home the next day to a new one out of “house funds.” The whole dorm is appreciative, but, much to Homare’s displeasure, Izumi still makes him sweep the front steps every morning. He’s written several poems on indentured servitude.
Azuma: By the time we get to Azuma, Izumi is ready to tear her hair out over half of Winter Troupe’s “contributions” to the dorm. She’s expecting Azuma to be a trial, and he is. He’s as bad as Azami about not wanting to damage his skin, hair, or nails. He’s naturally physically weak, so he can’t join the Heavy-Thing-Mover team. And, frankly, he has absolutely no interest or intention to clean. He winds up paying Homare’s house cleaner to also tackle his room when she comes to do Homare and Hisoka’s. Azuma picks up after himself, makes sure all of his things go back into their homes, cleans up anything he spills, puts his own dishes in the dishwasher, wipes down the sink in the bathroom when he’s done using it, and basically acts as if he’s still living alone. The major problem for Izumi is that he’s a grown-ass man, not a teenager, so she can’t play the adult in this situation and just order him around. She has to negotiate. When Izumi finally gets it through his head that he needs to do stuff for the community he starts to think about it. One day, out on the balcony, the tables are covered in fallen leaves. He brushes them to the floor, but now they look bad and he wants to enjoy this glass of wine in serenity. Without even thinking too much about it, he goes to get a broom and brushes all the leaves on the balcony down into the garden. Congratulations, Azuma, you’re now in charge of the balcony! He keeps it swept, salted in winter, and nicely decorated. He adds colored fairy lights to coordinate with holidays, cons Tasuku into putting up some hanging plants that he then cons Tsumugi into taking care of. He also takes on the role of Master of Atmosphere. He coordinates with Homare and Yuki when things in the dorm need replacing. He also supplies every room with incense burners and scent-diffusers and keeps them fresh and full. It’s a little thing, but the whole dorm is happy, and it reminds Azuma that he’s not alone anymore.
Guy: By the time Guy joins the troupe, pretty much every chore is taken care of. He has no logical objection to any of the tasks that he could be asked to do, and he starts off by jumping in on all of the seasonal tasks, since they tend to require more strength and stamina than simply doing dishes or taking out the garbage. By observing everyone in the dorms and their habits, mannerisms, and ability to focus, he is eventually able to pair them with a seasonal task that suits their strengths. He also makes a calendar, coordinating seasonal tasks to when those people don’t have midterms, finals, or performances. When he brings the list to Izumi and Sakyo, to help improve dorm efficiency, they could both kiss him. Seasonal tasks are always on the list during the big biannual cleanings, but with everything on their plates, things often get left behind or forgotten. Guy is now in charge of all seasonal tasks. He pitches in and helps with them, but mostly he’s just in charge of them. (This organization actually helps him when he opens his bar - it was good practice for scheduling employees and making sure things in the kitchen get cleaned regularly.)

3, 7, and 17 for the MC ask game? :>
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
+ the ones asked by @bisexualdumbass-world
So my MC is basically just general MC but with a backstory/more specific likes and dislikes
All my fics for unnamed gn! mc × mammon are based off my MC because their personalities are so similar & it's easier to write with a concrete figure in mind [ AO3 ]
If you know me by now, you know it's gonna get long as I explain things, add headcanons and the reasons behind them, add links to theories about the lore/world building/general mc & add links to any fic of mine that's relevant
This became a semi masterpost for all my posts dissecting + discussing general MC × Mammon's relationship & for 14 of my fics :))
Also asks are temporarily open again because I got lonely
And for context (& because I can't draw people):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[picrew link]
My theorised OM! time frame -> 3 years from S1 to S4 & why
1. How does your MC react to being summoned to the Devildom?
In this theory , I said that at some point in history the existence of the other two realms was an open secret to (at least some) humans but with the war, the rebellion & them practically shutting themselves up it became myth & then transformed into religion
Under this theory, a lot more humans would have been raised hearing stories/myths/folklore of the other realms. The interpretation of the realms and their residents may vary between people but the core is the same.
Eliza's mother (like general MC's mother was supposed to be) was a painter & a descendent of Lilith, who despite not being religious was very interested in the stories and so painted scenes from them.
Eliza didn't spend long with their mother (theory)* but the stories featured heavily in what little time they had together so they grew up seeing angels/demons in the same way most people see sentient/intelligent aliens.
aka:
You don't put much thought into it in your daily life, you're completely fine with never seeing one/confirming they're real, if someone asks if you believe in them you shrug & say "who knows" while 75% of you believes they probably aren't real. If confronted with hard evidence of their existence you'd probably be more shocked about seeing them/meeting them than the fact that they're real
+
In OM! at the very beginning it also says that MC signed up for an exchange program I believe? As in they weren't just randomly kidnapped. They were given the opportunity, they signed up and instead of going to where ever in the human world they were supposed to go they ended up in a mythical realm
=
More than being shocked that they were kidnapped by monsters under the bed, they were shocked that the cultural exchange program they signed up for was with aliens
So they adapted to it a lot quicker than they should've though a part of them still believed they were dreaming until they hurt their wrist when Levi tried to kill them
*this is mostly to explain why general MC doesn't seem to have a family, why they're so ready to leave the human world & join the brothers' family, why there's never a mention of more descendents of Lilith which rightfully the brothers would be interested in
Ik there's no mention about others because this is MC's story and they also needed to make MC more customizable for the players but since my MC is general MC I needed a solid reason for it
3. How does your MC feel about Cerberus and Henry?
They adore Henry 2.0 and make a point of asking Levi how he's doing every once in a while (mc asking Levi how Henry 2.0 is doing is actually canon and adorable!!)
They absolutely whipped their phone out to take pictures of both Henry 1.0 & Cerberus while they were being chased/attacked by them.
By this point of the game, as long as they're not sneaking into the labyrinth, Cerberus has come to accept them as just another member of the household and (like general MC) their rotation of chores now includes grooming/walking Cerberus.
They've got a lot of pictures of him taken by their professional camera and they have an entry on him in their "journal"/ the book they're putting together about the animal life of all three worlds
They're still trying to convince Barbatos to let them go to the dungeons in the Demon King's Castle to take pictures of Henry 1.0
4. How would your MC react to the brothers almost killing them and/or hurting them?
They don't even register Mammon's threats and have no problem snapping back at him from the beginning*¹
When Levi & Beel try they're in a dazed numb shock and they remain quiet till (in Levi's case) Mammon brings out the line about 'dying next time they're in trouble instead of letting anyone else save them' and the line itself and the entire situation is so ridiculous that they end up laughing (somewhat hysterically) as everything catches up with them.
In Beel's case they're shocked out of it when Mammon blames them for eating Beel's custard and they immediately start scrambling to defend themself to Lucifer, while also throwing Mammon under the bus.
When Lucifer tries to kill them the first time, they hardly remember any of it but they're silent and contemplative afterwards.*² They try not to dwell on any of the times and they push themself to keep looking forward
Asmo's & Satan's ones put them off the most because they were both the ones who were initially nicest to them without needing to build any deeper friendships/connections. Asmo & Satan's threats were graphic and sounded like promises more than threats. They tiptoed around the two of them after that and found comfort in the pacts because it meant they had a way to defend themself. Satan apologising meant that they relaxed around him quicker than they relaxed around Asmo.
They usually dismissed Lucifer's threats, pretending that if they didn't believe them or sneered back at him/laughed them off, it'll mean Lucifer wasn't serious. Though I did end up writing a whole fic about the time Lucifer hurt their wrist*³
They were angry when Lucifer tried to hurt them the second time. They were betrayed and livid but things happened so fast afterwards it got pushed back and the only resolution they had was when they got to punch him (in the shoulder/arm) after they reunited
They stayed away from Belphie/tried their best to interact with him only when the others were around. In the end their desperate need to reunite the family (because hell they went through this much BS they might as well see it to the end) won out in the end and they interacted with him more than they were comfortable with in order to do so. Remember Gisella who said you never forget the way you die? Their body hurts now - some days (most days) it's barely noticeable but on others they can't even make it outta bed. On these days, even after they're completely comfortable with Belphie and usually have no problem napping with him, they can't even look at him without flinching away.
After nearly getting killed so many times and then actually dying and being brought back to life, what little self preservation they had completely disintegrated. They now have a tendency to make light of all the near death experiences and any future experience as well - as a way to cope? No! They're perfectly fine! :)))))
5. What would be your MC’s favorite class at RAD?
Devildom Zoology & Devildom History
7. What job would your MC like the most?
They technically are a wildlife photographer but are currently without a stable job
Photographer because of all those pictures on Devilgram where the LIs are staring at the camera with heart eyes but the photos itself looks like they were taken by a professional
Wildlife photographer because they need to be patient, cool & calm, adaptable, used to dealing with possibly dangerous animals etc and MC having a job where they need all those traits would explain how they got used to the chaos of the Devildom so easily
10. Where would your MC go to escape it all in the Devildom?
They'll usually take their camera and head out into the woods.
11. How would your MC react to going back to the human realm after spending a year at RAD? Would they try to go back to things being normal?
They try to put on a brave face when leaving, specially because they always knew this was coming but they're absolutely devastated and they feel stupid for it.
They don't have a family (unknown father, dead mother & no relations at all from her side) and have always moved around too much + worked too much to form any deep relationships (both platonic & romantic) and so they've never really found a place or people in the human world where they can come out of their shell/open up more (something that Lucifer notes in S2 is that MC is now more open about their emotions). Despite this they've always being fascinated by families & in the Devildom they felt like they finally found their place so having to leave and not knowing if they'd ever be back was heartbreaking
They tried to get back to normal but the world now seemed duller and they were, ironically, homesick*⁴ & counted the days till their once a week calls.
(Like general MC) They lose weight during their time in the human world.
Despite all the evidence that everything that happened was real there are days when they wonder if it was all a dream and:
I headcanon that Eliza's pact with Mammon is on their right palm for many reasons (the most prominent being that scratching your right palm means you're going to get money) but also:
Tumblr media
After leaving the Devildom in S2 they move to a bigger apartment & get a roommate because they start getting luckier with money so they can afford it and after the loud chaos of the HoL they needed to hear someone else moving around their home*⁵
12. What would your MC write their paper on for the exchange program?
It'd mostly be a general paper covering all topics - from culture & food, to the people & RAD (they gloss over a lot of the "nearly dying" parts)
Additionally in their time in the Devildom they start photographing the animals + supernatural creatures they find there and then doing research on them. They get a thick old blank paged tome (the actual book from Satan, but with Solomon's magic so that they never run out of blank pages & so that only they can open it) where they make entries for each animal/creature with the research material they found & attached pictures.
13. How would your MC wear the RAD uniform?
They normally wear a similar uniform to the brothers. They start the day with everything neat & in place and end it with their tie tucked into a pocket, the jacket open, the shirt's first few buttons unbuttoned. When it's cold they'll have a light-material hoodie peeking out from under their shirt. Every once in a while, they'll wear a skirt with black leggings.
16. What sort of magic would your MC want to learn the most?
Summoning magic would obviously take precedence over everything else but (like general mc) they'd be able to easily pickup healing magic and they find it really useful as well
17. Would MC prefer Diavolo’s dances/balls or Asmo’s parties?
They don't have a preference and the answer could change depending on the day because it's fun to dress up for Diavolo's dances & to hang out with everyone else but they can be overly stuffy depending on who's there.
Asmo's parties are always fun but the later you stay the hornier they get and that can become uncomfortable
18. What is your MC’s relationship like with the brothers?
To make the story fit more with my characterizations, I work under the assumption that not all the characters are in love with Eliza. All of them have somewhat of a passing curiosity (you know when you suddenly see someone you've never liked in a romantic or sexual context do or say something and you suddenly get a flash of desire and wanting that's gone as quickly as it came? Eg: me at the tall dude sitting in the middle of the class and nodding along with my presentation while everyone else was focused on preparing for their own presentations. Nearly dropped down on one knee and pulled out a ring at that moment) - but that's it. None of the side characters have an actual crush on them (except Thirteen eventually). All the brothers had a small crush on them at one point or another but once they realise Eliza doesn't return their feelings it settles into the background - still present but not important (you know when you get a major crush on some person but nothing ever happens and now you're completely happy with their friendship but every once in a while your brain lets out a longing what if)
They're initially a bit in awe of Lucifer (a little bit attracted to him even though they'd gun-to-their-head deny it) until they have the "oh he's an asshole" realisation and then they're scared of him but also willing to put that aside to help Belphie because 1. They can't stand to see Beel sad. 2. The brothers clearly all adore each other but they have so many issues that are tearing them apart and Eliza who has always wanted a family is pissed by how they seem to be taking it for granted. 3. Lucifer was a dick and now they want to be petty and openly defy him. Once things get settled and they realise that "oh he's still an asshole but he's also an overworked, overprotective dad with ptsd" they become more open to the idea that Lucifer's not as bad under everything. They still go out their way to annoy him/defy him but when it comes down to it they'll always listen to what he says and follow his orders. They also tease him about the crush he has on them. They have weekly (sometimes daily) private meetings where they drink tea and Lucifer gets to finally open up and complain about everything.*⁶ Whenever he works late they make him coffee (the kind that bets bitter depending on how much the person making it loves the person they're giving it to). Eliza can fluctuate from being the only other adult in the room that Lucifer can depend on to giving him just as much hell as the rest of his brothers. They'd deny it but they preen whenever he's proud of them because more than anything they want him to accept them. Whenever Lucifer simps for Diavolo (which he does in canon) they always side eye him with the most smug look ever. Their entire relationship can be summed up by Eliza punching him (in the shoulder/arm) because he's being emotionally constipated and they were worried about him and then immediately hugging him tightly.
If you've read my Mammon x General MC posts you know exactly what this relationship is like:

And I think their relationship can be summarised as:
Being dumb best friends who are in love*⁸
MC being protective af P1*⁹
MC being protective af P2*¹⁰
Eliza is very indulgent of Levi and considers him a best friend as well. They're always up to binge watch anime with him, play games, go to cons, cosplay & sing karaoke. They take a heavy interest in whatever he's doing while also gently brushing away the crush he has on them. Though in my version, mostly to avoid hurting Levi, his crush is mostly superficial and becomes a "friendship crush" once they get close (yknow that one friend you have no romantic or sexual interest towards but you're a bit in awe of them & would also totally marry them no questions asked). Levi's the one who introduced Eliza to anime/manga/games and though they don't watch/play them on their own they're always more than happy to stay up the whole night doing so with Levi.
Satan & general MC have the most underrated friendship is2g. I have a half written post about how similar the two of them are which I'll post later and then add the link here but till then trust me, they are very similar - their situations more than their personality (though personality wise there are some similarities as well) and they tend to find comfort in each other because of that. Eliza can always depend on Satan whether it's with help finding research for a certain animal, helping with a spell they're supposed to learn, helping with work at RAD etc. He also feels comfortable about opening up about all his issues to them and he trusts their opinion more than anyone else's (remember in S3 when he looked at them to confirm who he was as a person?). They can also exist in comfortable silence around each other, both doing their own thing. Eliza is also a comfort and stabilising force for him when he's upset (literally just all their main interactions in S3. How they sat together and held hands in silence when he was upset in S3 was absolutely beautiful). They constantly recommend books to each other and have discussions about them.
They have a friendly indifference towards Asmo until he threatens them, makes a pact with them and then starts coming on to them strongly all in the same night and then they become wary of him and make sure to keep their distance. They do soothe things over once Asmo realises Eliza's just genuinely not interested in him and that he has an opportunity to make a friend without anything romantic or sexual involved, just someone who's not at all attracted to him in that way and while it does still annoy him, it also piques his interest. He can trust them to be upfront with him about anything without attraction clouding their judgement so he can actually get an unbiased, objective opinion from them about what actually looks the best on him. He still flirts with them but now it's just to see them fondly roll their eyes. He is a very heavy Mammon × MC shipper and is more than happy to play wingman (P1 & P2). He paints their nails and actually starts Eliza on self care routines and the occasional spa days. He's very clingy with them and once they become proper friends they don't mind having him hang off their arm or cuddle into their side.
They're very protective of Beel because they somehow see him as a little brother despite the fact that he could break them in two using just one hand. The whole reason they agreed to help Belphie was because they saw how upset Beel was about Belphie being gone. They always carry around snacks for him (like general MC) and though they would hate it if any of the others just randomly/spontaneously picked them up and carried them places they don't mind if it's Beel. They have however stolen a number of his t-shirts & jackets because they're huge and comfortable. They're always up for trying a new restaurant with him because, like Beel, they're not fussy about food and will try anything at least once. While they always make sure to buy food/bring him food if Beel texts them & asks, they also hold him accountable when he eats their labelled food. They always go to his matches and he usually manages to drag them to exercise together (MC is canonically able to kick open Levi's locked door and all that strength must come from somewhere). Like general MC; Eliza, Mammon, Levi & Beel hang out and get into trouble frequently & have weekly gaming nights. I can't find the post I made about it (but you can play the locked chapters of Lesson 4 to see what I'm talking about), Beel also "ships" Mammon × MC
Eliza initially doesn't trust Belphie and refuses to help him until they see how upset Beel is and agrees. They form a friendship while Belphie tells them stories about his brothers from inside the attic. After he kills them, they're much more wary of him, to the point that they feel uncomfortable standing close to him - though they push this all aside for the sake of everyone else. Even at the time of making the pact they are uncomfortable around him but making the pact and then hanging out with him & Beel starts soothing over their fears. Though going to the attic at all is painful for them at this point. Belphie isn't oblivious to any of this but tries his hardest not to let it affect him. (I have a fic based on this but it's not complete yet, when I finish it I'll post the link). After they become proper friends, they don't mind napping with him or even being in the attic with him alone, though they're less touchy-feely with him than they are with the others despite loving him as much as them and considering him family. On days that their body hurts a lot they avoid him and he knows how to recognise those days and retreat to the attic to sleep them away. After the pain has gone or reduced to its normal state (which can take 1-3 days) they always make sure to immediately seek him out so that they can nap together. They've also learnt to use him killing them against him. Eg: Belphie: refusing to do something that they really need his help with. Eliza: "Hey, remember that time you killed me :)". Belphie's also one of the brothers with a bigger/more persistent crush on them.
Overall, they're family.
And I have 2 mini fics that explore the relationships between all of them & MC:
MC and physical contact during pact formation*¹¹
Eliza and giving gifts during the brothers' birthdays*¹²
+ 1 fic of them all being a family with Lilith*¹³
19. What is your MC’s relationship like with the side-characters?
Luke is their son adjacent if that makes sense? He's not their son but he's close? Like a little cousin or a nephew. They're very indulgent of him and happily go along with whatever he says. The trips with Mammon & Luke to look for mythical/supernatural creatures becomes a thing.
They're much more quiet/subdued with Simeon than they're with any of the others because they hold the same sort of respect for him that is usually reserved for your grandfather. If Simeon liked Eliza romantically (which he doesn't in my version) he'd be grandfather-zoned and I think it doesn't get any worse than that
They're the least close with Barbatos and are somewhat intimidated by him and so are much more reserved when interacting one on one with him. They do taste test human (& Devildom) teas for him pretty frequently though (like general mc)
So canonically MC is probably the first person to see Diavolo instead of Lord Diavolo and yeah. Lucifer & Barbatos are still obviously Diavolo's closest friends but Eliza becomes his go to for more emotional problems/rants. He's going to gush about the exact colour of Lucifer's eyes for 57 minutes and Eliza is going to think "damn maybe there are perks to being homophobic :/" but they're going to (painfully) listen till he's run out of steam, because who else can he tell any of this to? And then they're going to suggest he actually tell Lucifer that he has beautiful eyes because if they get together hopefully this will stop (if they get together it will only get worse). Diavolo does tell Lucifer, but it completely flies over his head because he's oblivious like that and "haha it's just Diavolo being Diavolo". Eliza considers throttling him. Diavolo can also trust them to be painfully blunt and give their honest opinion when he makes suggestions about any new ideas/parties.
They have a lot of respect for Solomon but they also think he's batshit crazy so while they're willing to help him out whenever, they're always wary about what exactly that will entail. They do work very hard though because, while naturally being hardworker, they also want to live up to his (non-existent) expectations (seriously mc could breathe and solomon would be proud). He's also their go to when they want to complain about the brothers (as much as they love them). Because they're so curious (nosy) they do get frustrated by how much they still don't know about Solomon and how he evades the questions when they just straight up ask him.
Bonus:
They completely indulge Number 2 in his need to terrorise Mammon and happily play the part of Number 2's other parent*¹⁴ despite knowing that this is a full grown man who's much older than them. That being said they're not above threatening him with bodily harm when he pushes them right to the edge (which is true for all their relationships with the brothers and which is true for general MC as well)
Remember these seven little assholes? Eliza absolutely considers them their weird ass adopted kids. (Valago & MC) (what I think they look like with the help of the above picrew)
20. What is your MC’s relationship like with Raphael, Mephistopheles, and Thirteen?
Raphael starts his intro by more or less telling MC that they've heard bad things about each other and this holds true for Eliza as well. After everything they've gone through in the last 3 years, Eliza is somewhat protective of the brothers so their guard is up around Raphael. They have no real reason to pick a fight with him but they also tend to go out of their way to antagonise/tease him. Despite this they really are trying their best to be more civil because Lucifer asked them to + they want to mend the bridges between the three worlds as fast as possible. Despite their reluctance, because of how adaptable they (and general mc) are, they end up working fairly well with him
Eliza can be oblivious (and I think it's hilarious) so it takes them a while to realise who Thirteen is. As in when Thirteen accuses them of breaking into her house they're genuinely like ??????????? They go with the flow when Thirteen's pissed at them but they are genuinely confused about who exactly Thirteen is and why she's upset until some time later. They're also curious about her and her way of talking sometimes reminds them of Mammon. Thirteen's own extremely fiery personality makes Eliza take on the role of calming her down, even if that means drawing the attention towards themself. When Thirteen eventually gets a crush on them it's going to take them the longest time to realise it/believe what the others are telling them. Unfortunately for Thirteen (and me cause: Thirteen🥺❤) they get a lot of "little sister" vibes from her and treat her accordingly (did I somewhat unconsciously decide this to stop myself from jumping ship to Thirteen despite leaving Mammon being clearly against Eliza's personality? Maybe.)
Up to this point they're mostly indifferent towards Mephisto or at most annoyed that after everything he still wants to oppose their place in the Devildom. Also no matter how much fun they have with getting on Lucifer's nerves they're protective of him when someone outside of the family & their close friends do so. After getting to know him better they become his go to place when he wants to rant about something and they willingly listen even if they occasionally (somewhat fondly) roll their eyes and wonder how they ended up here.
**Despite being everyone's therapist + problem solver, Eliza tends to keep their own worries, problems, doubts, anxieties & hurt to themself until someone notices and forces it out of them and this is probably because they've been independent/self-sufficient almost their entire life. (This is something general MC also does either on purpose or accidentally as seen in the "snowed in" event)**
