This week I decided to finally try my first fromsoft game and it's going.... Better than I expected?? I am not a particularly good gamer so I assumed I wouldn't get very far, and it did take me a good few hours to warm up to it and get a feel for the combat, but now I'm 10 hours in and have defeated both Margit and Godrick which is already way more than I thought I'd do!! It is tough but the skill floor is not as high as I thought it would be tbh !
Writing inspiration has been pretty low lately, so sorry about that... and I also have been preoccupied with a survival city building sim game. So far it's been quite the time saving my growing city from one crisis after another and I got to put some social theories to the test. As well as, seeing how things play out based on some ethical choices you are forced to make. In case people have no idea what I am talking about, it's F.rostpunk.
Brennan Lee Mulligan on Dimension 20 is a harsh but ultimately benevolent god, who subjects his players to harrowing trials which they curse him for in the moment, but later come to appreciate were for their benefit and enjoyment.
Sam Reich on Game Changer, on the other hand, is a cruel and capricious god who mocks and torments his players with games he has deviously designed to distress and enrage them, all for his own amusement and the attention of the masses.
