Killjoy Day of the Dead where the ‘joys spray paint paths of their friends’ favorite colors to help lead them home. Where the Mailboxes are flooded with letters and gifts to loved ones. Where killjoys remember their loved ones and celebrate their lives. Where they give offerings to the dead and to the Witch in hopes that their friends will be able to visit them that night. Where the Witch guides the dead along the painted paths to the people they called home, so they’re not alone reading their letters and opening their gifts. Sometimes the Witch brings them all of the way back for that night, sometimes not. There is always next year, and the knowledge that your friends are there, even if you can’t see them.
Just. Killjoy Day of the Dead guys.

It’s been awhile since I drew Ari so 😈 I did that thing… all he does is drink arizona iced tea, eat hot chip and lie 😡 he makes me think of dirt biking, motorcycling, racing or whatever 🤔 idk why that is. But that’s his thing now actually, who agrees (me asking no one in particular and I just like talking)

Hey, Legislation! C'mon, Legislation!
Protecting one's right to necessary healthcare could be on my ballot! Could.
A signature drive is underway as part of a campaign to add a constitutional right to abortion in Arizona. Under the proposal, the state would not be able to ban abortion until the fetus is viable, which is around 28 weeks, with later abortions allowed to protect a woman’s physical or mental health. Supporters must gather nearly 384,000 valid signatures by July 4. Current law bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
...I don't think I can sign, from where I am. I'll have to check and see if there's a digital option. I WILL vote for this if given the opportunity, but the brain drain that affected Germany ahead of Hitler is in effect, and I'm part of it. I'm not physically there to sign papers or collect signatures. They can't use my money to put children in cages or bomb Palestine (as much. Canada is... Not as bad, but that's a low bar to clear.) but that nerfs a lot of the ways I'm supposed to agitate for change. And I can't vote here yet!
It's going to look more and more like the US, and esp. the red states. WANT to skew right, and that's Democracy in Action, because the people who can flee somewhere better are voting with their feet. We've been denied the power to make a space for ourselves with laws and politics, so we're looking for a place that will give us more of a chance. Just a chance. It's tough all over, but some places are better than others, and people will try like hell to get to a better place when they can.
I will try to make AZ slightly better. I will do what they let me. But I can't make it safe enough for me to go back there to live. I will not go back to the States, period, if I can still afford to live here. It's hard, and our housing does try to kill us, but we've decided this is better for us. Yes! The apartment with the roach dispenser that gets hot enough to kill us in summer, with no heat in winter, from which we could be evicted with a renovation loophole at any time if the landlord thinks our rent control is too expensive, is better than owning a condo in AZ, so we went for it. (And it's better than a lot of other housing options here!)
And I can't stop it from getting worse for the people who can't get out. All I can do is slow it down. I fucking HATE that.

What’s the farthest you’ve traveled out of your hometown? My sis is currently on her way to Washington D.C for a field trip, we live in Ohio and from here it’s about a 9 hour drive
A few different directions. I live in the very NW parts of Washington State, and I've been down to Arizona a few times in my life-- about 22-24 hours worth of driving. That's probably the furthest distance-wise I've been. (Although I also used to live in Texas, I am taking this question in relation to where I live currently.)
I've been pretty high up into B.C. (Canada) a few times as well, and into the islands too where ferrying can take quite a few hours.
Oh! And in about a month, I will be visiting two states I've never been to before-- Into Montana and Wyoming to visit family. Really excited to go through the Rockies, I've only ever seen them from a distance in Idaho. This will be the second longest distance traveled for me, as it takes about 16-17 hours to get to our Wyoming destination.
I probably elaborated a little more than you asked for, but I really love traveling!
