Loving You Means the End for Me
Keys jingled against the lock as Katsuki unlocked the front door to his apartment. He shuffled the brown paper grocery bag to his hip and tucked a bouquet of roses under his chin as he turned the knob on the door, pushing it open to reveal a quiet apartment. Walking inside, he kicked the door shut behind him and stepped out of his shoes in the entryway. “Hey babe, I’m home,” he called into the hallway, followed by silence. Katsuki glanced around, eyes roaming over the pictures on the walls. Smiling faces stared back at him and he rearranged the shopping bag and the flowers in his arms as he made his way towards the kitchen to set them on the counter.
“Look, I know I’ve been busy lately, but I promise I didn’t forget. I’m just running a little behind. The city can’t save itself, after all.” He knew Eijirou was home, but he was still greeted with silence, sighing as he pulled a vase out of the cabinet to set the flowers in. He had stopped at the local florist, as was tradition at this point. Katsuki filled the vase with water and took the flowers out of the packaging made of decorative paper the florist had wrapped them in, setting them in the water. He was never really a fan of roses, they were too generic for his taste, but he knew how much Eijirou loved red. His husband had a fondness for roses from an anniversary years prior.
Katsuki gave them a sniff and smiled as he unpacked the groceries from the bag, placing them on the counter to make dinner. The dull sound of the television with the volume turned down was playing from the bedroom, where Eijirou was located. Katsuki could vaguely make out the news anchor talking about an accident that took place two years prior. “I promise, just because I forgot our anniversary one time, doesn’t mean I’ll ever forget it again.” He called out, loud enough for Eijirou to hear him in the bedroom. Katsuki picked up the deep green glass vase and carried it into the bedroom to show the roses to his husband.
“It’s been two years since the building collapse where he was gravely injured protecting a civilian. The reports stated he was unable to activate his quirk in time, causing the head injury that put him in a vegetative state. There have been no new updates with any hope that hero...”
As Katsuki walked into the bedroom smiling softly, he was reminded of an anniversary early on in their relationship.
Four years ago, he had been out on patrol after being away on a mission for two weeks. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he checked it to find a text from Eijirou asking if he was going to come home that night. Katsuki tapped a quick reply saying he wasn’t sure if he was going to make it. Things had just been too hectic. It was likely that he would be out all night.
As soon as the message was sent, it was marked read and his phone started to ring. Eijirou’s dopey face was on full display on the screen and Katsuki answered the call, confused why his boyfriend was call him so suddenly.
“I thought you would at least come back for our anniversary,” said Eijirou as soon as the call connected. He was pouting.
“Shit!” Katsuki had been making plans for weeks, but because of the recent mission it completely slipped his mind. He never forgot important things like birthdays or anniversaries. Guilt panged at his stomach, making him feel sick. “I’m sorry Ei. Really, I am. I didn’t mean to forget!” Katsuki apologized profusely, but Eijirou was already upset and not listening to his pleas.
“It’s fine,” said Eijirou, clearly not fine. “We’re heroes. Work comes first.” Eijirou understood the lifestyle of a hero as well as anyone, but he still sounded hurt. Katsuki fucked up. God, he hated disappointing Eijirou more than anything. Eijirou hung up as quickly as he called.
Katsuki flipped through his phone, scrolling to find Best Jeanist’s number. He was two years into his sidekick work at The Genius Office and had earned more than enough clout with the pro hero to get a night off. He called his boss, begging to be let off for the night. Best Jeanist sighed but agreed with little argument. He was a reasonable man and Katsuki admired that about him. Katsuki hurried back to the agency, showering in their locker room quickly, before heading home.
On his way back to the small, one bedroom apartment he shared with Eijirou at the time, he stopped to pick up a bouquet of flowers and some takeout for dinner. It didn’t make up for forgetting what day it was, but hopefully it was better than nothing. The florist made some crack about makeup flowers and Katsuki had to resist the urge to blow up the entire damn store. Apparently, he looked like every other desperate, forgetful boyfriend that had ever walked into her store. It only added to the building weight on his shoulders.
He entered his apartment in a rush, finding a forlorn-looking Eijirou sitting on the couch with a poorly wrapped gift on the coffee table. Eijirou was always terrible at wrapping, but he tried so very hard every time. Katsuki caught his breath at the sight. God, he loved that man so much. The poorly wrapped presents always made his heart melt. He crossed the room, setting the bag of to-go boxes and the flowers down on the coffee table, and taking a seat on the couch beside Eijirou.
“I swear, I didn’t mean to forget.” Katsuki apologized, grabbing Eijirou’s hands and giving each knuckle a peck of the lips. “I already have a present for you and everything.”
Eijirou’s brows lifted, but he didn’t say anything, committed to the pouting. Katsuki took that as his cue to go get the gift, leaving Eijirou on the couch and hurrying down the hall towards the linen closet. He flung the door open, rummaging through a stack of bedsheets, stretching his arm to the back of the shelf until his fingers grazed a small box. Katsuki freed his arm and shut the door, hurrying back to Eijirou’s side with gift in tow.
Katsuki took his seat on the couch once more, holding the small box out. “I promise I won’t ever forget again, no matter how busy hero work is.” He sucked his lip in, eyes darting back and forth as he studied Eijirou’s expression. “Forgive me?” He asked.
Eijirou hesitated, but nodded slowly, looking defeated. “Fine. I forgive you. This time.” His lips twitched, turning up into a crooked grin. Gingerly, he took the gift, unwrapping the delicate golden paper to reveal a small jewelry box. Eijirou lifted a brow, eyeing Katsuki skeptically, before opening it to see a pair of golden rings resting within. They shined in the glow of the lamp behind the couch, glittering ever so slightly.
Katsuki swallowed, heart racing in his chest. “I know we can’t really be open about our relationship, but I love you. Is... is it okay?”
Eijirou’s eyes widened, realization for what the rings meant taking over. “It’s better than okay!” He set the box aside, throwing himself onto Katsuki and showering him with kisses, smile wide.
Katsuki’s heart clenched, so thoroughly filled with love for the redhead on top of him. “Stay with me forever?”
“Always.” Eijirou breathed, peppering his jawline and throat with light, lustful kisses.
Katsuki smiled at the head of red hair lying in bed. He reached for the remote to shut off the television and moved across the room to set the flowers on the nightstand. “Hey,” he said softly as he took a seat next to the comatose version of his husband, hooked up to monitors and an IV drip, along with a respirator. Eijirou was sleeping peacefully in the hospice bed Katsuki had acquired for him.
Two years ago, Eijirou had dove in front of a crumbling building to save a woman in need. She was so far away that he couldn’t activate his quirk, or it would slow him down. He ran, pushing the woman out of the way and by then, it was too late. A large slab of concrete had hit him in the head. By the time the paramedics had reached the hospital, he’d been declared brain-dead. The doctors tried their hardest to bring him back, but he was unresponsive, and Katsuki couldn’t accept it. Countless heroes with healing powers came to his aid, but none succeeded.
He paid for home healthcare to keep Eijirou alive for as long as possible. A nurse came during the weekdays to tend to Eijirou while Katsuki was working, but the rest of the time, Katsuki did it himself. He made sure the IVs were always full, the machines were clean, his waste bags were emptied, and his body was washed. Eijirou had dramatically lost weight and muscle mass. His body was thin, muscles undefined, and cheeks sunken in. There was a red spot near Eijirou’s hairline – hair dye that Katsuki had missed cleaning up the last time he colored it. Every few months, Katsuki would painstakingly redye Eijirou’s hair in his bed once the roots got too long. He couldn’t risk his husband waking up one day to find his hair had suddenly returned to its natural blackened state.
Everyone tried to encourage Katsuki to move on – to put Eijirou in hospice if he insisted on keeping him alive – and move forward.
“It’s not healthy to hold on like this.”
“He’s not breathing on his own.”
“The doctors said he would never wake up.”
“You’re stuck in denial.”
“There’s no brain activity.”
“Please just come out with us. You never leave your house aside from work.”
“They seemed like your type. I just want you to be happy, Blasty.”
“You need to see a therapist.”
“He would want you to move on.”
“Don’t you think you’re making him suffer more like this?”
“Kacchan, you’re not processing the grief.”
“Kirishima’s not even a person anymore. He’s a living corpse.”
Katsuki refused them all. “Eijirou would never abandon me, so I won’t abandon him.” He told them repeatedly. Katsuki’s life had essentially become frozen in time for nearly two years. As long as Eijirou’s heart was still beating on its own, he would continue with the way things were. He wasn’t just going to abandon his husband. Eijirou had to suffer alone that day. Katsuki wouldn’t let him suffer alone again, not as long as his heart was still beating. There was no purpose in life without Eijirou.
The doctors had assured him there was no recovering, no possibility of Eijirou waking up, but the entirety of Katsuki’s life was lying motionless in the room they used to share with one another. Katsuki had converted the study into a spare bedroom. Every night he would tell Eijirou he loved him, shut off the bedroom light, and go to sleep on the small, single bed next to his computer desk. He wanted his husband to be as comfortable as possible, and there wasn’t room for their king-sized bed once his medical bed was wheeled into the room.
Nights were the loneliest. He no longer had those large, strong arms wrapped around him, holding him close. Eijirou was always like a furnace. Now, no matter how warm he kept his home, he always felt a little cold. The ache in his bones had taken up permanent residence within the marrow.
“Happy anniversary,” he told him, kissing Eijirou on the forehead, tears trailing down his cheeks. “I miss you every day. This world isn’t the same without your dumb, bright smile.” Katsuki choked out between sobs; his chest heavy. He hadn’t felt like he could truly breathe since before the accident. There was a perpetual weight pressing down on his sternum, threatening to crush him the way that building had crushed his husband. “I know you’re gone, but please come back anyway. It hurts to breathe without you.” As if on cue, there was another sharp pang with the breath he sucked in.
The only response was the dull, steady beeping of the heart monitor and the hum of the respirator pumping oxygen into Eijirou’s lungs. No change – there was never any change. Katsuki sniffled, wiping his face with the back of his hand. He sucked a sharp breath and carded his hands through his hair before patting Eijirou on the arm and rising to his feet. “I’ll be in the kitchen making dinner if you decide you’re hungry.”
He pressed another long, soft kiss to Eijirou’s temple before walking away and shutting the bedroom door as he went.

The KrBk digital zine Petrichor drops at the end of this month, and pre-orders are available now!
I’m incapable of NOT being obnoxious about this right now and probably for the foreseeable future tbh! I can’t help it - fanfic or not, digital or not, a thing I wrote gets to be a part of this huge amazing thing stacked with all of these crazy talented people, and I just can’t fathom it. The mods gathered a ton of the most talented artists, and the most amazing writers, that I’ve ever seen for KiriBaku.
We literally have it all?? Every season, and every reason, to fall in love with KrBk - and watch as they fall in love with each other 💖

Hanami Engagement
Cherry blossoms began to bloom outside of the small apartment window and the warmth of the morning sun shed light on the world below it. Katsuki rolled over in bed, feeling the large, solid body next to him. Eijirou had grown significantly taller than him in the last few years and there was hardly enough room for them to share a bed. He curled into the side of the man sleeping next to him, an action he had performed countless times over the years. If anyone asked, Katsuki would deny it one hundred percent, but he enjoyed the thick, muscular chest of his boyfriend. He watched as Eijirou’s chest slowly rose and fell with every sleeping breath he took. It was riddled in little scars from their many years of hero work, and he felt the compulsion to trace the lightly colored marks on Eijirou’s chest with his finger.
The red head shifted, letting out a groan. “That tickles,” he murmured, sleepily. Eijirou turned his head, brushing his ear against the pillow, and gave Katsuki a kiss on the head. Blond hair tickled his nostrils, and he wrinkled his nose, suppressing the urge to sneeze. “What time is it?” He asked.
Katsuki rolled over, checking the time on the alarm clock. The dull green glow of the numbers read 8:07 and he turned his head back. “Just after eight,” he said softly. They were nose to nose and Katsuki arched his neck, lightly pressing his lips to the red head lying next to him. “Good morning,” he whispered between parted lips.
“It sure is,” Eijirou replied, smiling. He sat up in the bed and brushed his hair out of his face. “We should probably get up. They’re gonna be waiting for us if we take too long.” Eijirou kissed Katsuki’s forehead and slid out of bed.
“Do we really have to go to a stupid fucking picnic with Deku and Pink Cheeks?” Katsuki groaned and rose to his feet. The last thing he wanted to do was go on a double date with those losers.
Eijirou ruffled Katsuki’s hair on his way to the dresser to pick out clothes. “We promised Midoriya and Uraraka that we would go. Plus, it’ll be fun. Uraraka is making food, we’ll bring drinks and listen to music under the cherry blossom trees. Doesn’t that sound nice?” He smiled from across the room, revealing his pearly-white shark teeth.
“That is not the word I would use.” Katsuki kicked at a pile of dirty laundry on the floor, getting it out of his way. “I’m going to take a shower.” He glanced over his shoulder. “Do you wanna join me?”
Eijirou smiled even wider. “I’m not gonna say no to that.” He ran across the room and wrapped his arms around Katsuki, lifting him up to head to the bathroom.
“Do we really have to go?” Katsuki whined.
“Midoriya already texted me. They’re waiting for us to show up.” Eijirou pulled his arms through the sleeves of his jacket and shoved his keys in his pocket.
“Why is shitty Deku texting you and not me?” Katsuki glared at his boyfriend while he slipped his feet into his shoes.
Eijirou scoffed. “Because he knew you wouldn’t respond if he sent it to you.” He shoved Katsuki towards the door. “Let’s just go. We gotta stop at the store on the way and pick up beer.”
Katsuki groaned and walked out of the door of their apartment, shoving his hands in the front pockets of his jeans. “Fine, but I’m bailing the second shitty Deku annoys me.”
The pair headed down the street towards the nearby convenience store in search of beer and a few other refreshments for the picnic. Katsuki loaded up a basket with cans of beer and bottles of sake. It was probably more than necessary for four people, but it was always easier to deal with Deku after a few drinks. Katsuki walked past Eijirou who was scooping up several bags of spicy chips. The redhead liked to pretend he was obsessed with spicy food, but he wasn’t particularly good at eating it. I should probably grab him something sweet to balance it out if he plans to eat all that.
•••••
The park had already filled up a great deal by the time the pair arrived. Couples and families were scattered about like the many cherry blossom petals on the ground. They had each taken refuge under the rows of pink trees, laughing happily with one another. Katsuki felt gross walking between the rows of blankets. The whole Hanami festival was too sunshine and rainbows for his liking. It made his skin crawl. He was ready to ask Eijirou yet again if they could bail when an annoyingly familiar voice called his name.
“Kacchan!” Deku sat a meter away on a lavender blanket with Pink Cheeks at his side. “Kacchan, we’re over here!” He swung his arms around enthusiastically, causing several people around them to turn their heads.
Katsuki covered his face in embarrassment. “Just kill me now.”
“Relax,” Eijirou elbowed him in the side. The two closed the distance between them and the other couple and took a seat on the blanket. There was already a large spread of food out Eijirou put down their bags from the story. “Sorry we’re late,” he apologized.
“Don’t worry about it,” Uraraka smiled at them. “The others aren’t here yet.”
Katsuki snapped his head up, glaring daggers at the group. “What others?”
Eijirou scratched at the back of his head nervously. “Don’t be mad.”
“Too late.” Katsuki narrowed his gaze at his boyfriend, then glanced around the park.
“Kacchan, we thought it would be more fun to invite everyone. It’s kinda like a class reunion, but some of the B class students are coming too. Not everyone from our class could make it, though.” Deku grabbed one of the cans of beer out of the bag and cracked it open, doing the same for Pink Cheeks.
“And who, pray tell, decided it would be fun to invite along all the extras?” He shifted his gaze back and forth between the three of them, scarlet eyes looking murderous.
Eijirou clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth. “It’s not important now. What matters is that we’re here to have a fun time.” Carefully, he picked up a piece of sushi that Uraraka had packed in one of the many lunch boxes on the blanket and shoved it in Katsuki’s mouth.
He choked, coughing on rice. “I hate you,” he choked out after cracking open his own can of beer.
“Well, I love you,” Eijirou beamed back at him, smiling wide.
Deku cleared his throat. “Anyway, some of the others are coming. We haven’t all been able to get together in a while because of hero work, so let’s just enjoy it while we can.” He clinked his can together with Uraraka’s and took a drink.
•••••
“Katsuki, maybe you should slow down a bit,” Eijirou plead.
Katsuki had managed to get himself sufficiently drunk by the time the rest of the UA alumni showed up. He didn’t want to deal with all the extras sober and managed to get drunk a lot faster than usual. “I’m fine,” he slurred, eyes glossy. Katsuki rummaged through one of the bags of spicy chips and shoved a fistful in his mouth.
“Ha, I’ve never seen him like this,” laughed Kaminari. He was leaning against Jiro, enjoying the sight of his ever-angry friend.
Jiro swatted Kaminari on the back of the head. “Just leave him alone. You’re lucky I don’t have to be drunk all the time to deal with you too.”
They laughed, watching Kaminari squirm in place from the comment.
“Did you guys know, Katsuki’s officially starting his hero agency this year.” Eijirou smiled proudly at them, wrapping an arm around Katsuki’s waist.
“I can tell’em myself,” he whined. His was turning red from the heat of the chips and he took another big gulp from the can of beer.
Eijirou nodded at him and pulled Katsuki in close to his side. His boyfriend looked ready to pass out at any moment. “I’m just gonna take this,” he snagged the can of beer from him, setting it on the blanket.
“Kirishima, it’s so cute how relaxed he is with you,” commented Ashido, who had taken up residency on the blanket next to Jiro.
“Not cute,” muttered Katsuki, too drunk to give her a proper death glare.
Eijirou rolled his eyes and grabbed Katsuki by the shoulder, pulling his head down into his lap.
“We’re in public,” Katsuki hummed into Eijirou’s crotch, reaching to unbutton his pants.
“Dear god, Kats!” Eijirou grabbed his hands, pulling them away, “go to sleep.” His face flushed red as the others stared at them with a strong case of secondhand embarrassment. Eijirou buried his face in the palms of his hands, not wanting to make eye contact. The others giggled and snickered enthusiastically as he sat there mortified by what had just happened. “You’re not allowed to get drunk in public again,” he muttered to the already sleeping man in his lap.
•••••
Katsuki felt something hard pressed against his face and he opened his eyes to see a familiar waistline in front of him. He glanced up, making eye contact with his boyfriend whose entire face was as red as the hair on his head. There was snickering behind his back and Katsuki shot upright at lightning speed. He caught Eijirou scrambling to cover his lap with a bag of chips out of his peripherals and realized they were still at the damned picnic.
“You awake now, Kacchan?” Deku smirked.
Katsuki wanted to die – better yet, murder-suicide. He would kill every single person present at the picnic and then kill himself. It was the only logical reaction. “Go to hell,” he retorted, brushing his bangs out of his face. I cannot believe I fell asleep in front of these fuckers. It was mortifying, to say the least.
“Katsuki -”
“What?” he snapped, and then immediately regret it. Eijirou looked taken aback by his outburst. “Sorry,” he muttered.
“Oh my god, Bakugou can apologize?” Pink Cheeks was the next on the chopping block.
“Leave him alone you guys,” Eijirou pleaded with the others. There was a desperate look in his eyes. “If you keep teasing him. . .” he trailed off.
“If they keep teasing me then what?” he questioned, jerking Eijirou’s arm, forcing the red head to face him.
Eijirou chewed on his bottom lip nervously, pointed teeth exposed from between his lips. “Kats, there’s something I need to ask you.” He reached forward, plucking a cherry blossom petal out of the blond’s hair. Eijirou twisted it between his fingers, watching it spin in the spring light.
“What?” asked Katsuki, a little annoyed at this point.
He glanced around to see the others with expectant looks in their eyes. What are these idiots planning?
Eijirou swallowed nervously and cleared his throat. “Look so, we’ve um. . .” He sat there fidgeting with the petal, not making eye contact.
Katsuki shook his head. This one is the biggest idiot of them all. He snatched the flower petal out of his boyfriend’s hand and titled his chin, forcing Eijirou to make eye contact with him. “Spit it out already.”
“Right, so, we’ve been together for a few years now and we live together and you’re starting your hero agency this year and you know I love you and I figured with all of our friends here and stuff now would be a good time and um . . .”
Katsuki blanched. “You’re rambling,” he told him.
Eijirou was so red in the face it looked like he might pass out. “Right, um. . .” He dug in his pocket, fumbling to pull out a small velvet box.
Katsuki’s whole body turned pale, and he looked to his right to see all the expectant smiles from their friends boring into him. His breath hitched in his throat. “Is that what I think it is?” he asked, pointing at the box. No way, no way, no fucking way. This idiot was not proposing to him in front of a crowd of people. “I’m gonna be sick.” He got to his feet, leaving everyone behind as he ran off in the direction of the park’s restroom.
When he walked out of the bathroom, Eijirou was leaning against the building, staring at the red velvet box. Heartbreak was written in big bold letters across his face, and he quickly pocketed the box when he saw Katsuki step outside. “Sorry,” he told him, wiping at his mouth with the back of his hand.
“It’s fine. It was stupid of me to do that.” Eijirou’s shoulders slumped forward, and his red bangs fell into his face, covering his eyes.
Katsuki shook his head and sighed. “It wasn’t stupid,” he told him, trying to fight down his instincts to flee the situation again. “Open the stupid box.” Katsuki held his hand out expectantly. Embarrassment was bubbling its way all the way up from the tip of his toes, but he stood and waited as Eijirou fumbled to pull the box back out of his pocket.
“Sh-should I still ask?”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Give me your stupid speech.”
“Right.” Eijirou cleared his throat and got down on bended knee. He opened the box, revealing a simple white-gold band with an explosion pattern etched into the metal. “Bakugou Katsuki, I love you. We’ve been through a lot together and I want to spend the rest of our lives together. Will you m-marry, pleathe?” He bit his tongue.
“You’re an idiot,” he started, “but I guess there’s no other idiot I would rather be stuck with for the rest of my life.” Katsuki plucked the ring out of the box before Eijirou could manage to drop it down a drainpipe or something and slipped it onto his ring finger.
Eijirou wrapped his arms around Katsuki’s waist and hoisted him into the air. “Thank you so much,” he told him, burying his face into his boyfriend’s chest.
Katsuki sighed and wrapped his arms around Eijirou’s neck. “Eiji, if you ever try to pull shit like that again in front of all the extras, I will murder you.”
“Understood,” he said happily into Katsuki’s stomach.
The vibration sent a shiver down his spine, and he locked his ankles together behind Eijirou’s back. “You’re gonna make us go back to them, aren’t you?”
Eijirou looked up at him, grinning from ear to ear. “I guess they can be left in suspense for a while. I would rather keep you to myself for a bit.” He arched his neck, waiting expectantly for a kiss.
Katsuki shook his head and leaned in, kissing him softly on the lips. “You’re such an idiot,” he whispered.
“I love you too.”

I-Island Week 2023
About:
I-Island week is a KRBK-centric prompt challenge dedicated to the events of the Two Heroes movie. The subplot to the Two Heroes movie was a pivotal moment in KRBK/BKKR shipping, though it is significantly lacking in fandom content. To rectify that, this prompt week is to help create additional content for the tags: Two Heroes Movie and/or I-Island.
Does it have to be canon-compliant?
No. If you want to do a pro-heroes future fic/art of the characters returning to I-Island for a future I-Expo or something of the sort, that is acceptable. This also includes canon divergent (maybe the villains never attacked the island?).
Are other ships allowed?
While KRBKKR should be the focus, other background ships are allowed.
What is the schedule?
Schedule will be determined pending the interest check, but the prompt week will take place some time during the month of July. You can find the interest check here which will help determine the schedule and prompts.
What will the prompts be?
The prompts will be determined pending the interest check and whether or not there will be one or two per day.
Please tag #I-Island Week 2023 when posting.
For more information please head to I-Island Week 2023.

My KRBK time-skip fic I've been brewing for the past several months has been calling to me so strongly that I've given up trying to resist its temptation and begun to more consciously think about it
It's so sadly hilarious to me that going into it I was like: I wanna do canon divergent bc I want to explore post-war Japan and the relationship between KRBK 15 years into the future, and what I think that scenario looks like but then also became immediately panicky over like... imagining it wrong or some shit??? Idk
Like it's taken my friend reminding me, hey, there is no wrong. You are the author and what you say goes. This is your KRBK, your MHA universe, your Japan, your story...
And I both needed to hear that and also aaahhhhh

📣📣📣 speak!
Oh! Oh! Oh! (be warned, you asked for this) Actual content warning tho. Trans!Bakugo. Sex talk, but like professionally. Characters are adults, pro heroes. Also, I know I said I wanted to yell about KrBk babies, but it's more like the lore behind it. You get me? Ok, so KrBk babies right? I've always loved the idea of quirk babies. But like how? Does an infant baby just materialize out of thin air? A toddler? Does a tiny human just goes “pop! I'm here now” or what?! And like, how is it always a combination of them two? How do they know, genetically? And like I know, 'Taterz it’s fiction it can be whatever you want it to be'. I know! But my brain says it has to make sense, somehow. Because one gets really hard, and the other one explodes shits with his sweaty hands, but god forbid magic babies exist. So anyway, I have a scenario that works for my brain that are not magically conjured babies. ----------------------- A quirk.. but not like that. This works best if you’re ok with one of them being pregnant (I was specifically thinking TransMasc Bakugo, but A/B/O Omega Bakugo works too). ----------------------- I was thinking the quirk user is a doctor, a fertility doctor. Their quirk accelerates and enhances the fertility process. If the patient has had unprotected sex in the past 18 hours from when the quirk is activated, there's a 95% chance the patient will become pregnant, even with birth control. But of course, this only works in patients with a uterus. Enter Bakugo Katsuki, who is not publicly out, and Kirishima Eijiro, his partner who apparently has very strong swimmers. And the idiots just happened to do the deed THAT morning. The doctor doesn't know any of this, of course, so maybe during a villain encounter the doctor is present and trying to get away, they push at Dynamight in haste, full palm to his lower abdomen, which is coincidentally all it takes for the quirk to take effect. But it's no big deal because Bakugo holds himself in a way it would suggest he can't carry children, and no one is the wiser, so they don't think about it. That is until the hero is going down on his knees with horrible cramps, dizziness, and nausea. All side effects of the quirk. Cellophane is at the scene with him, and he watches his friend go down, seemingly for no reason, so he calls for help while other heroes take care of the villain. Lucky for them, there's a doctor already there, and they know exactly what's wrong with Dynamight. There's no way to reverse the quirk. Of course, there are options for unwanted pregnancies. Once Ejiro is informed of the situation, they discuss all the pros and cons AFTER he consoles a crying, furious and terrified, Katsuki. Pros: They are married and in a good stable relationship since high school. They have talked about having kids in the future. The baby would be biologically theirs.
Cons: Katsuki would be outed, and he would have to step back from hero work. Is he ready for this? Does he want this? The more he thinks about it, the more the answer is clear. He wants it. A little tiny human, a perfect combination of him and Eijiro, and their love. And Gods, Eijiro, he would be so good as a dad, caring and loving. He does, he wants it so bad now. And, is he ready? Probably not, but he has 9 months to prepare. --------------------- fkjsdfljgjkdg I want to write so much more about this, like about what comes next, the pregnancy and all that, but I've already gone on a long enough tangent. If y'all want me to word vomit some more tho just say the word.

hi aali! is there a chance that you’d ever post a safe for work version of fics like your future southern!krbk fic on ao3 sometime in the future? no pressure to actually do so of course! i was just curious :) - ✌🏻 (if this anon isn’t taken can i use it?)
hi doll!! i have thought abt it and honestly i don’t think i would for southern!krbk purely because of the editing time. it would take so long and i spent quite a bit on the fic. i’d have to rework it a lot :(
i do have a lot of sfw fics in my writings tags which are in some of the first to appear when you click the search tool on my blog however !! and there are two uploaded to ao3 <3 but perhaps in the future <3
