Request: Joker & Ciel finding out their s/o runs an orphanage and decides to visit. The kids adore her and she's quite passionate about helping those she can. Please and thank you! 💖💖

Joker & Ciel[Separate] x Reader

Summary: After gaining the knowledge that you, their lover, runs an orphanage, they decide to go for a visit and see for themselves.

Notes: Hmm.. I can write for Grell, maybe William too. William might be a little ooc, but I can try. Not sure about the others though, eventually. Here is your lovely request!!

Ciel

☆ You were having a simple everyday conversation with your fiancé, Ciel. Despite claiming not to enjoy small talk, he would let you go on about whatever you wished and would occasionally chime in with a question or comment about the topic or subject. Although today was a bit different, he completely stopped you for a moment to ask about something you had thrown in oh-so-casually. "I didn't know you ran an orphanage; how come you've never brought this up before?"

☆ Not being able to come up with a proper reason, you shrugged your shoulders at him in response. He stared in your general direction, for a moment before going on, "Maybe I could pay them a visit sometime. Would that be ok with you?" Your response was an obvious yes, not seeing a reason why he shouldn't. Both you and Ciel were young, so getting along with kids not much younger than you came rather naturally. Well, to you anyways.

☆ Ciel stepped through the double doors with Sebastian by his side carrying the basket of assorted sweets his young master had brought for the children. Kids ran around, laughing and playing with one another joyfully. Caretakers could be seen watching over the children, some helping out the younger ones with learning activities. "Welcome, the lady told us you'd be stopping by Earl Phantomhive!" One of the employees greeted the pair, "She's right over there if you'd like to see her," the woman pointed in your direction.

☆ "Thank you, I'll be going then." Ciel turned and stopped in his shoes upon seeing you, bent down, playing with some of the younger children. They all seemed to love you, asking for turns to be picked up, or if you could help them with one thing or another. Your beloved didn't exactly know what to think or do, so he simply watched you for a moment before his butler spoke up, "We will be going to speak with her, or just watch her from afar?" Sebastian questioned in a teasing tone. No response came from the young Earl, and rather he walked over to you and surprised you with a playful kiss on the cheek. "They seem to love you, don't they?"

Joker

☆ You and Joker laid beside each other on his mattress, talking about random nonsense. He loved moments like these, where he could learn new things about you he hadn't picked up on before. In return, he'd tell you small things about himself you probably hadn't noticed either without even knowing he was doing it. When he mentioned the orphanage he had lived in for some time, it looked as if a lightbulb clicked on in your head. You turned over to face him with a smile, "Did you know I run an orphanage?"

☆ Joker's face turned into one of disbelief for a moment before answering, "N' I didn't. 're ye' messin' with me?" You chuckled and told him no, going on about all the children you knew there. Not only did you run an orphanage, but you were also in close contact with these kids, getting to know them. "Hey darlin', d' ye' think I could pay 'em a visit?" he asked, not knowing whether or not you allowed them visitors. "Sure, when do you wanna come see them? I'm sure they'd love you, and you're great with the kids who come by the circus."

☆ Here he was, only a couple of days later, stepping inside the large building only to be greeted with the smell of food being made by some of the employees. That alone surprised him, given that when he was still living in an orphanage, the older of the kids were meant to take turns cooking for everyone. "Nice to see you," one of the caretakers startled him with a greeting, "are you Joker? [Name] told us you'd be paying the children a visit." He gave the woman his signature circus smile, "Indeed I am! 's nice t' meet ye'" The woman chuckled, "It's nice to meet you too, [Name] is right over there."

☆ The woman chuckled, "It's nice to meet you too, [Name] is right over there playing with the youngsters." Joker gave her a quick thanks and walked towards the direction she had pointed. He stopped in the doorway to the larger playroom, his heart almost melting on the spot. There you were, playing with the kids as they practically swarmed around your legs asking for your attention. He paced over to where you stood speaking with the little ones, and placed his hand on your shoulder, "I never knew ye' were s' good w'th kids!" Suddenly, they children were asking him all sorts of questions about who he was, and why he was wearing 'funny clothes'. Looks like he was in for a lively visit.

he probably noticed you had insecurities very fast

didn’t know what over though

he thought about snooping around to figure it out

it was the constant scanning of a room and impeccable perception of body language for him

it felt like you were constantly ready for something to go wrong

and you HAD to be there to comfort and support every time someone was upset

didn’t find out about anything for a while until it was mother’s day and you hid for a little bit of the day

sebastian also probably snooped in your desk and found some letters with vent-y things written in them

things like maybe your parents should’ve gotten an abortion

you don’t understand why anyone would ever love you because the people who were supposed to love you ended up giving you away

nothing you do is ever good enough

now that he knows the reason behind some weird behaviour, there’s a lot more understanding

he’ll put more effort into making you feel better about simply existing

and lots of praise to let you know you’re doing good and that you’re enough

but he doesn’t miss the expression you make when he tells you these things

he knows you still don’t believe him

it’s ok, he’ll just have to make you believe him eventually :))

would like to try to help you, but they have no clue how to get you to think otherwise

so i guess you just need to get used to them being your partner

because they’re not gonna abandon you (even if you were as a baby) and they love you to the moon and back >:((

grell still cries to themselves when they think about how little trust you have in people caring for you

will now probably kill whoever decides to tell you that no one loves you because you’re adopted

he’s still adopted in a way, so he understands the trauma behind it

but he’ll still ask you about it to understand

he likely already knew about your backstory, but he didn’t realise how much being orphaned at day one really took a toll on you

it was a lot of frankly overwhelming offers to help that made him suspicious

because he doesn’t think anyone else has offered help so much even when they probably can’t afford to do so

notices that you work yourself so hard to the point of fainting and is super concerned

when he asked about it and you said you feel like a waste of space if you’re not being productive, he’s a very sad boy

very set on letting you recognise that you don’t need to be ‘of use’ for people to want to be around you and be friends with you

but he will start helping you as well to make you see that he isn’t trying to take advantage of your kindness

you can have nice late night therapy sessions with him if you ever want to talk about things

like how you do things to trick yourself into thinking you’re being productive like playing a little puzzle game they have in the circus

he for sure understands the part where you have both attachment and abandonment issues

you meet new people and it’s like a honeymoon phase

and then quickly you start overthinking if you’re being annoying or if they hate you about a week later

he’s always there to cheer you up when that happens

lots of words of affirmation, even if you struggle to accept them

he’s so eccentric that oddly enough

i think he’d be the best at actually taking in and interpreting the information

in an artistic way, of course :))

but he always wanted to use you as a model for his paintings and sketches

and he started thinking there was something you hadn’t told him about you

because you seemed to change personalities and deflect compliments ALL THE TIME

he figured out the extent of your trauma after he said

“you are loved, and you are wanted.”

and you burst into tears

he panicked at first, worried that he upset you, but he was happy to know you cried because you could finally believe someone when they said it

maybe it’s because he doesn’t often throw those statements out there

he makes more arty pieces inspired by you and how you feel about certain things

like your different ‘personalities’ that he sees, just differences in vibe and slight changes in body language when you want to come off as a certain way

he’s very happy that you believe him though, because he realises how hard it is for you to depend on anyone else

and how little trust you have in others that they won’t use you or abandon you

has drawn you like a porcelain doll before with cracks in the body because it’s still beautiful even if you’re ‘broken’

and writes you little notes or poems daily

joker does everything in his power to keep you as far away from his less than savoury work as possible — juggling a half dozen excuses for his late night excursions and placating you with boundless affection when you’re together, feeling horrible about lying but wanting nothing more than to keep you safe

he’s far from opposed to showing physical affection or engaging in pda, happily smothering you with any and all touch that you’re comfortable with whether you’re in private or not — and it’s even become something of a running joke amongst other performers that on practise days his makeup barely lasts an hour before it gets smudged and transfers onto you (they tease you both for it but make no mistake, they all find the two of you sickeningly adorable)

as far as any pet names go, joker cycles through a baker’s dozen of them — anything from ‘honey’ to ‘darling’ to ‘love’ and even sillier things based on your appearance and personality, it all just depends on what mood he’s in at the time

whenever you’re even slightly under the weather or injured, he tends to become even more attentive and practically refuses to leave you alone — even skipping practise until he’s forced out of the tent by doll or wendy (who are usually the first to volunteer themselves to keep an eye on you so that joker can actually get some work in for the day — and so they can fill you in on whatever happened in your absence)

whenever you’re cold, he’s the first to offer up a jacket or a scarf — insisting that you take them even if he’s already chilly himself because he likes taking care of you and he’d hate the idea of you catching a cold when he could have prevented it

if he has any spare money (after stocking up on the necessities of course), it goes straight to you — your favourite snack that you haven’t been able to have in ages, a new shirt if yours is getting a bit worn, a toy you’ve been looking at for ages, a replacement book for one you lost during the last move, etc. (he always takes care of you before even considering himself, which is unfortunate if your love language also happens to be acts of service haha)

he’s an early riser and a light sleeper, but if he has no other obligations for the night or has assigned somebody else to his early morning duties then he’s more than happy to just stay in bed and cuddle as you gradually wake up — usually with some nose kisses and joking remarks along the lines of ‘sleeping beauty’ and the like

joker loves making you laugh and will go to great lengths to do so, adapting his techniques to match your specific sense of humour — and grinning whenever he’s successful, even if he made a bit of a fool of himself in the process (he doesn’t really mind it, he’s an entertainer after all, and anything is worth it in his eyes if he gets to hear you laugh and see your smile)

he affectionately teases you a lot and is happy to get what he gives, even encouraging you to mock him in turn when he’s being silly — bonus points if you really get it right because he’ll giggle-snort into his hand and then start laughing like a madman

✥ Sebastian is blatantly happy with himself for meeting someone like you, don't tell him I told you, he won't ever admit it, stupid demon thinking he's all that when he isn't shit.....

✥ If there is one thing you both are known and noticed for, is you guys beauty, I mean you with your amazing (h/c) hair with pink ends and you reek of elegance and superiority while him, he's tall and very handsome might I add.

✥ Also as Sebastian's significant other, you probably do know he's a demon, but you like him, cause he doesn't kill and eat humans like the ones in your place.

✥ Sebastian loves you so much, you're so very kind even to creatures like him, upon learning of your past, where your fiance rejected you because you would eat more the other girls, because of your unusual hair, because of your strength, it was the first time he had ever felt his blood boil so much.

✥ He is proud of you that you stood back on your feet and how you fight demons, he learns it takes immense power to not only be a hashira but also create a poison strong and lethal enough to kill them, that's impressible!

✥ Sebastian also knows of how demons killed you elder sister and how you thus have anger which you often lace with a smile because you sister liked when you smile, he can feel your anger...

✥ Sebastian has tried to tone down your obsession on Sakura mochi and you definitely weren't happy about it, but once learning how you lose your pink tips and how your hair is coloured simply because of how much you eat, you get a few Sakura Mochi, simply only to keep your adorable pink tips in your hair.

✥ Sebastian when he first made food for you, he made enough to fill you by looking at your figure, you were quite thin, but you finished all the food in only aa few minutes and were still hungry, that's when he learnt about you humongous appetite of that compared to three sumos. He is impressed, a tad bit scared because is this normal?? Also ready to make good food for you!!

✥ Sebastian often sits there while you work as doctor at the butterfly mansion with your younger sisters and the three Butterfly girls, he also learnt about Tamayo, you both would help each other make poisons and sometimes Sebastian would also learnt to make some and help you with fighting demons.

✥ Of-course he isn't able to kill them as they only regenerate, he learns how the demons at your place only die of sunlight, if Muzan gets mad and only if they get mutilated by a demon slayer's sword, he obviously knows how to use a katana and so sometimes he kills little demons here and there for fun.

✥ Sanemi, Obanai and others obviously didn't take well to you dating a demon and they thought he was trying to date to get info for Muzan and so tried to kill him by bringing him in the sunlight, and since Sebastian was only standing there all confused everyone was shocked, until you explained he was a different type of demons and told them how they don't like to eat humans that way, they understood him though still a bit doubtful.

✥ He saw you kill the spider girl, he did find it hot when you threatened to gouge out her eyes or slash her stomach and organs, he finally saw you using your insect breathing for the first time, he finds it very beautiful! He also learns your breathing style by the way, neither you nor him understand how and why because first, he's a demon and second he isn't going to die in the way demons under Muzan die.?????

✥ Oh speaking of Muzan, he found Sebastian doing things and learnt he was also a demon and asked Sebastian to help him find the blue spider lily because he thought Sebastian was also using his blood and when Sebastian was attacked by him and threatened to take his blood and nothing happened, that is when Muzan realized he was fucked, Muzan was safe tho, because Sebastian was distracted by you....

✥ Sebastian is very much familiar with the fact that you have incredible physical strength because once you were returning from a two week mission when Sebastian welcomed you and in excitement and happiness you hugged him so tightly and you didn't realise you picked him up from the floor upto two feet in the air and it wasn't until Sebastian started speaking that you realized how strong you are and put him down apologizing a bit...

✥ If there is one thing Sebastian dislikes a bit about you is how you find everybody so cute and simp over them all the time! Cause he's a demon and he is naturally possessive and protective of you, it's fine he feels better when you began simping over him again after he does one tiny thing which you find hot!

✥ Oh, Ciel also asks you to bake him sweet-treats cause other than being a demon slayer, you have a bakery business which you handle with the snake Hashira, Obanai, your best-friend and your sibling!

✥ You are very smart, you created a poison powerful enough to kill a demon and thus, you tried making a thing for temporarily helping Sebastian become human in which you kind of succeeded, cause after trying it on Sebastian, he can "turn" on his taste buds on demand, because he ans to taste you delicacies and foods an to make sure the food he's cooking is good as well...

✥ Oh, he saw a photo of your family and he found out you got your strength from your dad, he saw that you also earned his adorable cheek moles, you also have a brother and you how lifted a HUGE ROCK as a baby...he is tad bit worried, but over all in love!

✥ Oh and you also help in fighting with your katan laced with wisteria poison, though Sebastian disapproves of this he only does this because he knows you can fight, but if it's a his type of demon demon, he's putting the place on lockdown because ain't no way in hell is he letting you fight any demons more than you already do!

Ciel PhantomHive

✥ Ciel and you, his S/O were one hell of a couple! You, a bubby, elegant and sweet person also very smart may I add, while him, cold, quiet, annoyed, strict, though smart as well!

✥ Ciel finds you very peculiar, he knows of your past, your fiance hating the fact that you eat more than other girls, how your hair colour was weird and how you were strong and how demons killed your beloved sister. He finds you very strong to bear all that and still stay happy, I mean how could you be so bubbly and kind, when he is still looking for people who killed his parents.

✥ When you first met Ciel, it was because he was hurt and you were the best doctor of the place, he was there at the butterfly mansion, when you walked in and god forbid, your beauty took his breath away, literally and figuratively because he ended up having a asthma attack and Sebastian always made fun of Ciel for that..

✥ He is very proud of you as well, how you stopped caring how people view your appetite, strength and looks, because as long as you are happy and achieving your goals, people have no right to try and take them away from your simply because you don't look normal.

✥ He watches you train everyday! I mean, he is terrified and interested at your immense flexibility training and how strong you are physically, you can pick up Bard and Sebastian single handedly at the same time, he learnt your strength is very helpful in killing the demons in your area, because it takes immense strength to cut a demon's head off.

✥ Speaking of killing demons, you can easily kill a demon by cutting their head off and yet you also use your brain to make a poison lethal enough to kill them in case of a position you're not strong enough to kill them, Ciel definitely tried to use it on Sebastian....

✥ Oh and he encourages your obsession with Sakura mochi, because he learnt that once when Sebastian cut off the Sakura Mochi from a particular diet you asked him to give you, Ciel learnt how your hair loose it's beautiful pink strands, when you stopped eating them and because they're a trade mark beauty feature of yours, he was very angry and demanded you get off the diet and continue with your Sakura Mochi obsession to bring back your pink tips!

✥ Speaking of mochi, Ciel now always eats sweet dishes because you own a bakery with your siblings, and your sweets taste very good and you cook amazing food and of-course it is now Ciel's comfort food and he demands it when he is having late-night cravings.

✥ Your bakery is most definitely famous, and you always help Bard make food as every noble is jealous of the Phantomhive manor's good sweets and amazing foods

✥ Ciel also learnt about Kanao and how she uses a coin and how she was treated, he felt bad for her and he formed a soft connection with her, Kanao learnt about Ciel's past while she told him about her past and they ecause good friends, Kanao likes him and trusts you for choosing him

✥ Ciel watches you and Tamayo make poisons and often asks Sebastian to bring a demon so you and Tamayo can test it's lethality on it and see the side-effects!

✥ You know how girls sit on their boyfriends' backs when they push up? Yeah, instead it's Ciel who sits on your back while you do push-ups and you can go forever without getting tired cause Ciel is very light! And so Ciel reads a medium size books while you do pushups or planks.

✥ You introduced Ciel and the staff to Kamaboko squad and Nezuko loves him, Ciel is generally enjoying her and Tanjirou's company becuse he learns how their family was also slaughtered, while he is absolutely angry around Zenitsu because he doesn't like the fact that Zenitsu is absolutely flirting with you. He's neutral with Inosuke, mainly cause he doesn't care about the boy but when Inosuke took off his mask, Ciel is very surprised to see a pretty girl's face on a wild boar's body, he's fine with it....kind of angry when he goes around fighting and being angry at people

✥ Tanjirou and Nezuko know about Sebastian being demon because you told them and Ciel likes the surprising fact that Tanjirou's smelling sense are god-tier and how his forehead is rock-hard, because he once bashed his head on a table in frustration and it broke into smithereens, scaring the staff. Mey-rin and Finny love Nezuko, they find her adorable but confused as to why she wears a muzzle and though they know you have demons in your world, they understand not to ask about it.

✥ Okay, let's continue with your relationship! Ciel, for once finds your humongous appetite to be quite insatiable sometimes, but nothing Sebastian's cooking can't fix, he knows how much to make for you and since you feel upset for increasing their work, you help by helping Mey-rin clean the dishes and make sure she doesn't do anything weird or break anything!

✥ Ciel also gets highly jealous when you start complimenting people because you find them cute or beautiful or hot, but it's fine cause you always come back to him and shower him in the compliments for than anyone else and you can also sense he's mad...

✥ Oh and if he's ever sick, no way will he let anyone treat him other than you...If anyone even tries to touch him, he'll stab them...not to worry, he'll listen to you like an obedient person and lover he is..

✥ Oh and he does not eat treats unless they're from your hand, he loves sweets from your bakery, he will always help you financially, but he enjoys going to your bakery...

✥ Gets jealous very easily and will yell at you for finding other people attractive or cute, but look at him angrily or just be upset with him, he will apologize, he just doesn't want you to leave him!

✥ He finds your family quite adorable as well, especially how you inherited your dad's cheek moles and strength and how you were able to pick up a HUGE stone as a child, he wants you to carry him everywhere you can!!!

You know what I originally thought Black Butler was about. I thought it was about a demon butler (Sebastian) where each episode he has a new master with a new personality and needs that he has to adapt and adjust too to fit the perfect butler aesthetic. I thought this because before I watch the anime I saw pictures of Sebastian working for Ciel. Him working with that King and his little brother from Ep. 16. Then I fucking thought that Claude was Sebastian and he was working with Alois.

To me that concept sounds much cooler to me, and maybe could give more bg on Sebastian before he worked for Ciel.

Edward Midford vs Joker:

First of all, it's the status that would give Joker off the biggest sense of inequality. He wouldn't consider himself as unworthy of your love or insecure about his flaws or anything of that sort, no. The very first thought that'd occur in his mind is how his rival has not only wealth but also the title and position in the society which is enough to actually make him the best candidate for your hand.

He, on the other hand, could offer you freedom. It may not be the easiest life but surely there has to be more to it than using silver cutlery and speaking in a sophisticated manner—he'd give you all the love you deserve, all his attention and the sense of belonging. The family. They won't be as courteous as the nobles but they'd respect you as his partner. Shouldn't that be enough when it comes to true love?

Edward wouldn't know how to react to realising that it's a circus member that is trying to steal your heart from him. Is it some kind of joke? A trap? A test of his devotion? Whatever the reason, he won't give up, especially not to someone who'd make you live in a tent and eat leftover foods... you deserved everything best, after all—the softest bed sheets, the most detailed outfits, a lot of free time to indulge in your hobbies. He would give you all of this and much, much more. What could that clown give to you in comparison?

However, Joker is charming. He's a sweet-talker, he knows how to attract the audience and you, too. He has some silver tongue and although his tricks may seem cheap and boring in the eyes of an erudite such as Edward, there's no way he won't get your attention that way. And once your eyes are on him, he'll make sure that you'll feel like a princess by his side.

Can Edward sweep you off your feet in an instant? Can he charm you with his wit and jokes and compliments? Or all he has to offer is his family money, boring, tedious rules, do's and don'ts and the never ending play-pretend in front of the other members of nobility? While here, by Joker's side you can be anything you want.

The day you and Edward decided to attend the circus' show would definitely be the date when the invisible battle between two interests would start. There won't be much time to lose—it should end by the time the show is over, once you tasted both the sweet freedom of laughter and dancing however you please with a company who's serving you the most fancy praises and the rich flavour of perfume from the welcoming gift you received, your presence adored and cherished and admired by the most chivalrous man you've ever met.

Joker with a shinigami s/o who's retired from that life and so doesn't have a way to view the death list but then Will shows up and they just know that something is going to happen so they do everything in their power to stop it.

Said s/o showing up as Joker gets ready to welcome Ciel to the manor and pleading with him to run away with them. To go back to the circus and get the troupe and have a happy life where the baron can't hurt them. Him saying that this is all that's left and ensuring that he'll take care and do what he needs to and then they'll leave right after.

Before the fire is able to burn his body to ash, s/o uses what they can of their powers to make a protective bubble almost over him and just clings to their lover, sobbing that he wakes up; begging any and all higher powers grant them this one reprieve. S/o watches as Joker's cinematic records pass by knowing that it's too late, but still clinging, crying tears for the love that was destined to end sooner rather than later.

Ciel

☆ Ciel had been wandering about the property in search of you for some time now, contemplating where you could have possibly run off to. It was almost time for bed, and seeking out your company, he decided to go look himself rather than have Sebastian summon you back inside. A decision he was now regretting in the lack of your presence.

☆ Mumbling to himself, he stopped in his tracks upon finding you sound laying on a bench in the garden, sound asleep. Underneath your sprawled out hair, was a book he had gifted you recently. A smile that was not often seen made its way to his lips and he bent down to kiss your cheek, sitting in front of your sleeping figure. There was still some time before bed to enjoy this moment.

Finnian

☆ "[Name], where 're you...." Finny spoke aloud to himself, having been look for you for about an hour now. The sun was setting, and he simply wished to spend some time with you before settling into bed for the night. He wandered every turn he could through the Manor's garden in search of you, pondering where on earth you could have disappeared to.

☆ Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted your relaxed figure beneath a tree with your glasses half falling off the bridge of your nose and a book in hand. Smiling to himself he quietly made his way over to you, before carefully taking your book and glasses. Using his free hand, he swooped you up making sure not to wake you in the process.

Alois

☆ "Darling, where 're you!?" Alois called out for you in the halls for the umpteenth time now, "[Name]!!" At first, he thought you may be playing a silly little trick on him, but it's been long enough now that he was starting to get worried something might have happened to you. He searched a couple of the usually vacant rooms from top to bottom, even checking the most ridiculous of places.

☆ Eventually his feet came to a stop at the sight laid out before him, his gorgeous lover sitting at the table in the dining room with her head laid on the book open in front of her. He watched your eyelids fluttering slightly, indicating you were dreaming. Alois took it upon himself to bend down and take your glasses off, lifting your hair to the side to press a kiss to your forehead.

Joker

☆ After tonight show Joker had a quick chat with some of the other members during which you seemed to have completely vanished. Now, at least an hour later, your boyfriend was still searching for your whereabouts around the circus. He'd checked your tent and asked anybody if they'd seen where you'd gone off too, but they all gave him the same response of not had having seen you.

☆ Joker decided he would change into something more comfortable before continuing to look for you, but when entering his tent, he found just the one he was looking for. You were probably waiting for him to come back and fell asleep on his mattress with an open book still in your hand. He smiled at the sight of you and decided to enjoy it for a moment longer before having to wake you for dinner.

Dagger

☆ Dagger had been busy helping out practicing with some of the newcomers for a short while, and once he decided they could go on their own, you were nowhere in sight. Weren't you just with him? It had been a while, but not that long. He took to looking for you, thinking you might be hanging around somewhere since you weren't in the practice tent.

☆ Sooner than later, he came to finding you in a field nearby the circus with your head laying on a book you had been reading prior to falling into your dreamland. Your glasses had fallen to the side on their own, given your position. Dagger chuckled softly wondering if you hadn't gotten enough sleep to fall asleep in broad daylight like this. He laid next to you, draping his arm over your torso and snuggled up.

they’re both casually affectionate people, but dagger is much more likely to be flustered if you initiate pda (you and joker take full advantage of this fact to quieten him down when he’s being aggressive)

you help the boys out with their makeup and keep on top of dagger’s hair dye situation so he doesn’t end up covering himself in it (again)

whenever you get sick these two turn into the ultimate mother hens — dagger is constantly fretting over you and going into hysterics about how you don’t deserve this and he’d help you if he could, whilst joker is calmly fetching warm soups from the canteen tent and sending other members of the circus out to get medicine

joker is a big spoon type of hugger, the sort that will just envelop you and kiss the top of your head

dagger is a koala who likes to snuggle up into your stomach and wrap his arms around your waist

this means that if you’re cuddling both at the same time then you’re most definitely going to end up overheating (unless it’s winter at which point you’ll welcome the affection)

you’re the only one who gets to call them by their real names — and even then only in private when you need to ground them

dates usually consist of you sitting in bed and reading them a few chapters of the latest book they bought you — but on occasion you do manage to sneak out between practice to go on a walk in the nearest lot of fields (always with some food the three of you managed to pocket throughout the day)

dagger has lost his prosthetic on several occasions from just tossing it aside when he’s exhausted, which makes for an interesting early morning scavenger hunt whilst your poor boyfriend is left stranded on the bed — because, of course, he left his crutches back in his tent as he didn’t anticipate lobbing is leg away like a scalding pot whilst half asleep

joker suffers from pretty extreme panic attacks as he’s the one who’s seen the worst of father’s activities — he also tends to have horrid night terrors and has woken up screaming before

you and dagger are the only ones who can ground him and help him come back to reality, but even then it’s difficult for you both as you have to content with your usually calm and chipper boyfriend being reduced to a whimpering, sobbing shell of himself

to conclude: you love your boys and they love you dearly and they’d do anything for you — even if it meant lying to your face
