You've all seen the 4th Dynasty beadnet dress now, but what if I could further interest you in the 12th Dynasty faience beadwork apron of Senebtisi:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The apron is made out of faience beads in various shapes. The two sides have distinct motifs: the right side (viewer's left) is made from long round tube beads with lotus-shaped beads at the top beneath the belt, and the left side consists of elongated barrel beads separated by dogbone beads, topped with papyrus-shaped beads.
The sides are separated by a gold-coloured, rectangular buckle carrying Senebtisi's name in hieroglyphs (read from right to left) at the front, and by a gold-capped tail comprised of small rondelle beads at the back.
Not much is known about Senebtisi. She was buried at Lisht with a large array of expensive grave goods, and this apron may indicate a royal connection.

A GUIDE THROUGH DANIEL BRÜHL'S FILMOGRAPHY
Now that I’ve gone through most of Daniel’s works, I thought this table might help those who are about to embark on the same obsessive journey I began months ago. I have no intention of spoiling anything, I’m only hoping this will provide someone a good idea of what to expect and help them in the selection process. Like, All Quiet on the Western Front is an excellent film but I wouldn’t want to watch that when I’ve had a really shitty day and I just need something light and dumb.
I do a 1 to 10 rating to make it as precise and objective as possible but know that some areas will be subject to my personal taste, factors like the mood I was in while watching it, and the oft-faulty machine that is my memory.
Before I get into the sections, let me quickly paint a picture of my personal taste. From Daniel’s works, my top 3 are Rush (2013), Goodbye Lenin! (2003), and Inglorious Basterds (2009). If we get into favorite films of all-time, it would include Parasite (2019), Before Sunrise (1995), When Harry Met Sally (1989), Atonement (2007), A Quiet Place (2018), Amélie (2001), The Dark Knight (2008), Arrival (2016), and Past Lives (2023). I’m always down for a dark comedy, an epic drama/romance, and a psychological thriller.
Tumblr media
Now that's out of the way, onto the TABLE SECTIONS:
ROLE PROMINENCE – how much do you see of Daniel in this film? And, no, this has nothing to do with his ass—though that is always a welcome sight.
IMPORTANT – do we learn something from this movie? Are there interesting concepts being explored? Is it relevant? Does it carry a significant message, however obvious? Is it a career highlight for Daniel? These are the considerations for this category.
PAINFUL – are the themes dark and heavy? Is it stressful to watch? Is Daniel tortured into a pulp? Does it tug at your heartstrings? Is the movie deliberately cringey and embarrassing? This section covers a wide spectrum, so you must refer to the other sections to infer if it’s worth the pain. I have a high tolerance for violence and dark humor, what pains me is a plot that goes nowhere, a poor script, or a movie that wastes so much potential. How invested I am with the story and the characters also has a bearing on my rating. For instance, I feel zero empathy for Chris in Cargo because he's an idiot who had it coming.
WATCHABLE – does it hold your attention throughout? Is it enjoyable? Is it something you can watch over and over again? I have to stress that this section is sometimes influenced by my expectations of a movie and, often, by what I need in that moment.
ADDITIONAL NOTES – here I try to add factors that might have affected my viewing experience, further insight into my rating, and other vital (or not-so-vital) information.

p.s. didn't bother watching 2 Days in Paris and 2 Days in New York because I knew he only had a cameo in those.

ooooh do you have some screenshots of vigandi? can you tell me more about her?
Tumblr media
I had to go grab a new picture of Vigandi real quick, because I don't play her all that much (I've never clicked too well with Ranger), But! Vigandi is one of my alternate commanders, covering my Norn spot, and she's a soulbeast!
She's a jovial giant, always cracking jokes and doing her best to keep the tone light, confident, and optmistic. She grew up a communally raised orphan in Cragstead, after her hunter parents were killed on a trip that got them caught in a snowstorm. As a result, Vigandi and Braham knew one another growing up, even if Vigandi was a fair bit older than him. She's essentially his Older Sister, she even helped teach him how to use a bow. Vigandi joined the Priory, in the belief whilst she's a good hunter she cannot hunt what she doesn't know, and the Priory would help her learn about the elder dragons. Despite what a lot of people expect of her rough and tumble attitude, she's a massive font of knowledge concerning Tyria's history. She more than did her reading, and knows a lot. She loves a good fight though, takes absolute joy in sparring matches and cackles like a hyena when someone finally gets in a good punch, preferring to fight in her Spirit' 's Form. Speaking of Hyenas;
She's also the first Havroun of Hyena - a spirit of the wild from the crystal desert. When Balthazar scorches her loyal eagle to goad her into a fight, Vigandi is revived by Hyena who askes her to be her Havroun. Vigandi agrees. Hyena is a spirit of scrappy underdogs, of stubbornness and protecting your pack, and of good, if fierce, humour. Vigandi ends up with a little pack of Hyena followers when she shares about the spirit once she returns to the shiverpeaks. She also gets a new a bird companion in the form of a giant vulture, but she does keep some feathers of her old friend.
That's not quite everything but, hopefully this was interesting! Thank you so much for asking about her!! <3

Obsessed with the idea of Bucky being really good with ultra-modern Wakanda level tech, but because of the gaps in his memory and experience he's awful with everyday things. Like he can repair Sam's Captain America suit, but he hasn't quite figured out how to use a microwave.

Daniel Brühl being a cute potato, a hot Nazi, and a sugar daddy who has sexual tension with everything and everyone including the weird-ass crew member in Cargo. p.s. if you haven't seen that movie, count yourself lucky. p.p.s. thank you to Dada Z on YouTube for this gift of a compilation!

Alayne Stone, or Sansa in desguise in the Vale of Arryn. + Baelish peaking.
"The Hound was right, she thought, I am only a little bird, repeating the words they taught me."
“...my grandfather took the head of the Titan as his sigil when he was knighted [...] rather too fierce, for an amiable fellow like me,” said Petyr. “I much prefer my mockingbird.”
"A falcon soared above the frozen waterfall, blue wings spread wide against the morning sky. Would that I had wings as well."
"I am a Stark of Winterfell, she longed to tell him."
A Wolf Girl. "...the wind was howling fiercely. It sounds like a wolf, thought Sansa. A ghost wolf, big as mountains."

we’re still working on the finer points of the etiquette of cuddling (no biting or scratching the hand that loves you sosososo much) but former feral Tommy’s first forays into couch time have been so good. we’ve watched 4 movies together over 2 days. he liked The Bad Seed (1956) the most bc he sat up at stared at the tv when the little girl rhoda was talking abt the murders she committed and i think he liked how animated her speech got
once again, never met any cat more desperate for human touch and warmth. his first time on the couch w me and he was already obsessed w getting into my lap to snuggle as close as could be bodily possible. then he sank into purring and biscuit-making, as if he’d been doing this kind of thing forever. you’d never guess he had such a rough and violent life. a year ago i couldn’t get within 10 feet of him without being mauled
btw, discovered that he twitches when in deep sleep. i wonder what he dreams about
