this man would literally never let you lift a finger when you're with him. he would always insist on driving you places so you wouldn't have to take public transport by yourself, or he would def take time out of his day to go with you on public transport. if you had to, say, take the metro alone, he would facetime or call you the entire time so you weren't truly alone and someone knew where you were in case of an emergency

he'd probably even share his earbuds with you while sitting together so u could listen to the same music (communicating without words (´Д⊂ヽ)

you can def expect him to be cooking dinner for the two of you, even after a long day. all he wants is to make sure you know you are loved and that you feel loved. he's not blind to the purple eye bags beneath your eyes, and even though he's tired, he knows you'd do the same for him

Because I missed the rewatch for the beginning of season 3, im dropping my live reactions below for the first two episodes. Season 3 is my favorite season so very excited we're here for the rewatch. This is the season I started watching live but I don't think I caught up until like 3x06.

3x01, The Big Chill:

I really love the cut from Owen's "and we never give up ... Until hell freezes over" to the blizzard like 7 months later.

I feel like we start with the turtle people too early. The amount of screen time that passes between them discovering the kid under the ice to when TNT gets there feels waaaaaaay too long. One of the more clunky pacing issues for me.

I don't love the Paragon Blue on any of TNT 😭

The camera work on the Paragon boss saying "this company's mission is to not only provide elite care but quality comfort" as he walks in front of the mission statement on the wall is top tier. That's comedy

For real though, we don't even make it back to the turtle people in the first episode?????? Idk, i feel like the build up to that rescue isn't necessary. It's too long of one.

3x02: Thin Ice

starting on the kid in episode 2 starts the build up over so seeing the turtle people first feels even more unnecessary.

I don't know fire fighter protocol but would it actually be okay for Mateo to stay behind at the roof collapse and not go with his house when they are called elsewhere?

I think what also makes the boy ice rescue feel so long and so unrealistic is that the close of the cold open ends with the turtle crawling over the boys face. The next time we get back to that rescue, grace picks up the 911 call from the woman who has already gone a whole block away to call from a landline. There's a disconnect in the scenes here. With the couples discovery of the boy being the first scene of the previous episode, it's unclear how much time has passed since the boy went under. She tells grace it's been at least 5 minutes since they showed up on the scene but since they split up the scenes of the boy going under and the couple showing up there's a lapse in urgency. I think this would have worked so much better if they just cut the discovery of the boy from episode 1 and just put it in 3x02 in chronological order of events. And then it cuts to TNT arriving but theres no indication of how much more time has passed. It's really kinda annoying. As an audience member all I can think about is the boy being underwater and the show taking their sweet ass time to get around to this rescue.

Every time TK says "I was a fire fighter in New York" all I hear is Britta's "I lived in New York" throughout the run of Community. 😭😭

Gahhhh and we don't even go back right back to that rescue after commercial break. Sorry ya'll I never realized how much this pacing bothers me until I decided I was gonna live blog this.

These episodes are such great Paul episodes. I feel like that gets kinda lost in all the Tarlos drama.

This girl Lindsey has such low self esteem. Her and Paul's interactions throughout this episode is such a wonderful little story of finding confidence. They should bring her back at some point so we can see her thriving!!

For once can we see TK do a cool rescue where he doesn't end up mortally injured??

It bugs me that none of these people are wearing hats or scarves or anything

I saw someone else say this on here and I apologize for forgetting who it was but it is kinda weird that these paramedics don't get TK to perform any warming techniques after that dip into the water though I suppose they all three are more concerned about the boy, which is understandable. Still ... Kinda weird to not be able to multi task as medical first responders

And still no reaction from TK's "I can relate" comment. Hes literally sitting there shaking!!! Lol

Ok like I know there are stories of people surviving drownings even though they were under for awhile. It's just the pace of this rescue stretches it out soooooo long that it seems unrealistic especially with how the kid just wakes up coughing a bit of water. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Sometimes I just gotta laugh when the show has the paramedics spout off all the medical buzzwords so the audience understands what's happening. i'm suffering under the curse rn BUT. i am 3 episodes in to The Magnus Protocol and so far my thoughts are that it seems pretty good! on the one hand i should probably do my best to separate tmagp from tma but at the same time, i mean, the only reason i'm listening to tmagp is bc of prior attachment to tma, so it's interesting to me to contrast and compare them (though in all fairness it's been a while since i listened to tma).

the new cases are definitely cool so far in terms of allowing for more formats, i wonder if we're gonna get any future explanation for their eloquent presentation like we did in tma since idk if there's any hints so far at what the whole worldbuilding deal is with that so far in tmagp.

i will say that- do to the different formatting and immediate bigger cast who gets more focus and whatnot- tmagp feels more 'TV' in a certain way. which isn't a pejorative statement and i actually really dislike it when ppl assume something being 'TV' means it's low quality or shallow, lol. tmagp is a good example of something feeling 'TV' but it's a notable difference and is casting my mind back to the discourse/discussion about a tma tv adaptation and what that would look like back when archive 81 got one. i imagine it'd feel a lot more tmagp inspired.

cast is cool so far! i admire alice's actress for being able to pull of the extremely tumblrific dialogue (which i know is on purpose but was also VERY off-putting to me at first- it's the kind of thing that i love when written but spoken aloud in a fictional setting sometimes raises my hairs for some reason). i already love gwen, she's defs gonna be the toxic woman i get attached to and then regret it (assuming i listen to more episodes which i hope i do? i'm not great at it but i do like finishing things, my brain is just pulled into all directions rn if that wasn't already apparent). Colin you're great, i can't wait to watch you break down. Sam you're great too in a way that your personality rn makes me very excited for your potential future corruption arc (obligatory reminder i'm only 3 eps in and just making educated guesses based on what jonny and co did for tma, though i do acknowledge that there's a lot more fingers in the proverbial protocol pie rn)

in general i'm curious about the direction of the show, namely how they're gonna make it tragic in a way that's different to tma? bc i always maintain that the beauty of tma is the slowburn, and how everything happens so slowly that by the time you realise what path we're on, it's too late to stop any of it, and the more you learn about these people and this world, the more you realise it was always going to end like this, even if it didn't have to.

it's a tough feat to pull off and the inherently different structure of tmagp makes me wonder if they're gonna have to pivot what kind of tragedy this is. it's probably apparent right now to anyone who's properly caught up but as for me? i'm curious and cautiously interested. idk if i'm ever really gonna get involved with the fandom like i did with tma (bc that was a mostly great but also wild and formative experience for me and in general i'm bad at being multifandom no matter how much i wish i could be bc it would make my life sooo much easier. but unfortunately the shape of my autism (title of my new movie and/or hit single /j) does not allow for it with any ease. only struggle)

Because I’ve been more interested in doing match-up exchanges lately, I figured it would be smart to make a single concise post explaining everything important when it comes to doing match-up exchanges with me! Below are my guidelines for doing match-up exchanges, so if you’re interested in doing a match-up exchange please read this once I’ve sent it to you/if you’re interested in doing an exchange!

Fandoms I Do Match-Ups For:

Because I don’t do match-ups for every fandom I write for (since some just don’t have enough characters for it to feel very interesting or exciting lol) these are all the fandoms I offer match-ups for! Feel free to choose any of the fandoms listed below if you’re interested in doing a match-up exchange or just requesting a match-up in general, and this list will be updated whenever necessary:

My Hero Academia, Haikyuu, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan, Bungou Stray Dogs (though I am currently only on season 3, so as of now I would only be able to match you with characters established up to that point), Mystic Messenger, Obey Me, and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.

Characters I Don’t Match With:

Among these fandoms, there are certain characters I won’t do matches with for various reasons. First of all, If a character is below high school age (I’d say generally they have to be 15 or above at least) then I will not be matching them with anyone. This includes characters like Luke from Obey Me, Muichiro from Demon Slayer and Kenji from BSD, among others. Additionally, any characters who are abusive to children will not be matched with anyone. This would include characters like Mei Mei from JJK and Mori from BSD, as well as characters like Endeavor from My Hero. I also just don’t really know much about Vanderwood from Mystic Messenger so I probably won’t match him for anyone just because I’m not sure if I would be able to make it accurate lol. This list may be changed/altered as needed.

Things I Need From You In a Match-Up Exchange:

If you’re interested in a match-up exchange, please feel free to DM me asking about it! Unless I’m on a hiatus or going through a tough time in my personal life, I will almost always say yes! Once we’ve agreed to an exchange, these are the things I will need from you:

Hey there! Just wanted to drop in and say that I actually got the ring of light (yellow gold coating) from U-treasure, and along with the stupidly high shipping prices I heard that World Shopping gives you along the process (assuming it’s true), the total will come to be about ~$150-165. The product itself was ~128 😭

That is to say that u-treasure is (prob) a menace for partnering with World Shopping for international shipping. I get that they’re using quality (ish?) materials but the shipping is. Interesting. (World Shipping is one that charges relatively more than others like Zen Market(?) or From Japan, I’ve heard)

And yes this is an incoherent ramble but I also wanted to say that Obey Me also came out with an 18k gold w/ melee diamond ring of light that I never knew existed until I randomly found that U-Treasure actually brought back the rings + Luci stand that goes with it for the month of February. Not sure if this means it’ll be back in upcoming years again? Devs I’m pretty sure said it was limited edition but hm…

Oh man I'm a bit jealous, ngl! I saw the Ring of Light and I was like listen... it'd be so cool to own that. But I just cannot justify spending that amount of money on merch like this. Especially since I already have a budget in place for the game itself.

Like I'm allowed to spend a certain amount on the game what with the vip and the occasional dp purchase and that's it. I've obtained some merch, mostly fan made stuff. And that's just extra stuff that I'm like okay I feel okay about buying these things because they make me happy.

If I had more disposable income, you can bet your ass I would have bought the Ring of Light just for the Cool Factor. But yeah it's expensive already due to the gold and stuff and then add those shipping costs and OOF.

I know very little about shipping company options but my experience is that shipping is always stupid expensive. I guess they can go with whatever company gives them the best deal. It's not like you'd be able to shop around for a Ring of Light somewhere else with better shipping prices lol.

The closer you get to the deadline, the less you are sleeping and eating and the more concerned they are. When you finally finish it, they take care of you and make sure you completely de-stress

Exhausted was the only word you could use to describe how you felt both physically and mentally. Your job had been handed a major project, and your boss had assigned you to be a part of the team for this project. You were excited and thrilled when you heard the news, but that quickly died down when you realized how much time this project took from your personal life.  

Your work hours for the project had started off  as your regular 9-5 job for the first two weeks, However by the third and fourth week you kept staying an hour later until you eventually found yourself leaving at 11 or 12 at night. This made your personal life with your boyfriends hard, you had to cancel a night outting or you'd apologize because you won't be able to make dinner on time.  

 Obviously Loki and Bucky both knew how important this project was for you and the company you worked for. They were very understanding, however they had to agree that the hours you were starting to work wasn't normal. You assured them that you were fine and doing okay, they also made an effort to wait up for you and made sure you were taking care of yourself and eating even if it was at 12 in the morning.  Until things took a turn. 

Two weeks before your project's deadline a few employees had quit which made it all the more hard to finish the work on the project. Not to mention your boss had suddenly taken time off to go on a vacation leaving you and a few other co-workers you had left to complete this project.  

With this you had pushed a breaking point, once you got home from the work night before you'd  get only a few hours of sleep before you were up again getting ready for the next day. You had to skip breakfast and lunch, instead choosing to eat some small snacks at work. Loki and Bucky would bring you food to work because they knew you would hardly eat anything when you were home. 

What made them worry even more was the last week before your project was due. You didn’t sleep much, only taking small naps. When they tried to get you to eat and sleep properly you would snap at them telling them you were fine and that you just needed to get this project done. Although they were upset they did give you your space to complete your project.  

You felt awful for yelling but you were just trying to get this project down so you could relax and spend some quality time with your boys. The last two days you had been pushing yourself to get the project done. Once you finally finished  everything you felt like a weight had been lifted off of you.  

So the morning of the due date you were in a rush to get to work and turn the project in, you said a very quick good morning and goodbye to the boys and off to work you went. Your work was crazy that day, people running around trying to get things done. By the end of the day you felt extremely exhausted, your co workers wanted you to go out with them to celebrate but just wanted to rest considering it was already 10pm.

After leaving work you drove straight home with all the energy you had left, upon arriving at your home you heard the faint sound of music playing. Before you could open the front door Bukcy beat you to it, he stood there looking handsome as ever in just his red henley and sweatpants. 

 “ Welcome home doll” he moved to the side to let you enter. Once you entered the apartment the smell of your favorite pasta hit your nose and your mouth began to water.  

Loki came out of the kitchen wearing only his silk emerald robe while holding a plate of pasta and a glass of wine. “ Oh good your home darling” he smiled as he  made his way over to the sofa.  “Please Come sit” he gestured you and bucky over. “ What's going on?” you question as bucky is helping you take your coat and shoes off.  

“ Well we thought we’d make dinner since you probably haven’t eaten” Loki moved to sit on the sofa as you and Bucky did the same. “ Really?” you meant for your voice to sound cheerful but it ends up coming out as a  brittle one. They both take notice of this and buck is the fist one to speak. “ What's wrong?” He gently caresses your face with his hand. 

“ Nothing it’s just i haven’t been the nicest to the two of you and yet here you are still taking care of me and making sure i’m okay” the dam broke and you began to cry. Their gesture mixed with the exhaustion you were feeling came tumbling down.   

“ Aww darling” Loki pulled you into his arms and let you cry. “ I don’t deserve you two i truly don’t” you moved to pull bucky into the hug as well.  “ Stop that you do deserve us  just as much as we deserve you. We know how important your project was, now that it's over, relax and let us take care of you”  they both kissed the top of your head. 

After a while you calmed down and you were able to relax, you ate the pasta they made and you swear it was the best pasta you had. They laughed at your exaggeration knowing that you were saying that as you were tired. You had the glass of wine  loki brought as well which led to another and soon you felt even more relaxed and bolder.

You move to sit on Loki's lap and you begin to playfully kiss him. They both caught on to what you were doing.  One thing led to another; you ended up pinned between Loki and Bucky that night. 

After last night you’ve never felt more relaxed, You were very grateful for your  two men. The following morning you woke up cuddling between your two loves. You took a moment to admire both of their features, feeling all giddy inside like a schoolgirl.

Slowly and carefully you detangle yourself from their embrace and head to the kitchen. You thought you'd make breakfast for them, you should've just stayed in bed cuddling with them. 

As soon as you tried to reach the top shelf you slipped and hit your shin hard on the floor to break your fall. You knocked everything you had on the counter over. Loki and Bucky were quick to wake up and rush to your aid in protector mode. Bucky with his gun and Loki with his daggers.  “ Y/n? Are you okay!?” bucky dropped his gun and crouched down next to you as Loki cleaned up the mess with his seidr. 

 “ My leg, I think I just bruised it.” you point out as he tries to look at it carefully. “ It looks like you just bruised your shin, you'll be fine” he gave you a small smile as you huffed out in annoyance.

 “ Darling, were you trying to make breakfast?” Loki finally asked. “ yeah” you admit shyly as he helps you up. “ After we told her last night we’d take care of her she does this, i think our pet needs to learn another lesson” he smirked and bucky all but smiled as he picked you up making you squeal “ Bucky!” you playfully hit his chest. “ Your right she does need another lesson” 

Safe to say that day and the following weeknd was spent in bed as Loki and Bucky spent time and time again making you de- stress.

Gah, I love all comments and feedback! I guess there’s such a thing as critical feedback, but I’ve rarely seen it given publicly to anyone and it’s only happened to me once, I think. I remember being surprised by how little it bothered me—it was from someone who nearly always liked my work and even though they flat-out and in front of the whole fandom said they didn’t like what I’d written in that instance, I just didn’t take it all that personally, lol. I was going to say I don’t know why, but after a few moments of thinking about it, I probably do—the thing they didn’t like was very much what I’d intentionally done, so…that’s how it goes sometimes, I guess.

I think I like it best when someone gets what I was trying to do, i.e. if I was trying to be funny and someone tells me my story made them laugh, I really like hearing that, or if they particularly enjoyed a certain scene, that’s always super gratifying to hear. And sometimes a comment makes me think a little harder about something I wrote. With “Lifted”, @bookish-bogwitch noted that Baz saying he’d been sick in love with Simon “for a long time” meant so much more coming from him at age 38 than it did when he was 18, and yes, I’d meant that, but at the same time I hadn’t really thought about it as closely as I did after getting that comment. And a lot of the fics I wrote for the COC were set in the same post-canon world, all at different points in Simon and Baz’s life together, so I really appreciated that my concept of a long relationship had been seen.

But as much as I adore getting comments, I’m very happy with just a kudo as well! I’m not the greatest at leaving comments myself so I can understand if other people don’t feel up to leaving one. I’m trying to be a little better about leaving comments, but I always feel like I’m doing a superficial job compared to how I actually feel about what I’ve just read. I often feel embarrassed about the quality of my feedback, but I do know that no one is sitting there going, “ugh, her comments are so lame, why did she even bother” 😜 And for sure I never do that with any feedback *I* get—I’m over the moon anytime someone takes a moment to say anything to me at all, so any and all comments are treasured!

💌 share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!

Ha ha, the idea of even posting something again is exciting—it’s been so long! I’m toying with the idea of posting my Crucible marriage fic before it’s completely finished, but I really can’t do that until I figure out where the starting point is going to be, can I? Sigh.

It’s a nice hit of dopamine to post something that you made in your brain and have other people tell you they liked it, isn’t it? I guess I’m hoping that readers will think the story is funny, sweet, maybe a little hot in places, all that good stuff. I’m also hoping I can manage to make the plot interesting enough that it will be worth all the ink it’s not really printed with. Fingers crossed!

Had a sudden urge to draw the third page for that one entrapdak fam comic I did a while ago :))))

Forgot to add, but here Anillis also calls Hordak "Poppy!". The very first thing baby Prime did when he saw Hordak was to give him a name (or rather a nickname)

In that case, could this image of Anillis be a hint that neither Hordak nor Kadroh are fully "awake" yet and still need to open their eyes to some things about themselves, their past and their dead tyrant brother? At a certain point in their lives both of them 1) were exiled and basically sent to die by someone who was important to them and whom they fully trusted (a friend/family/god) 2) got stuck in a strange place, isolated from the rest of the world/universe, all alone (lol speaking of trauma bonds...)

Two very similar and yet very different situations. And here’s the fun part: the main difference between Entrapta and Hordak’s stories is the opposite ways in which they react to their opposite circumstances, cope with and adapt to new changes

Vannah, my wonderful friend! I've got all my oh-so exciting info for that match-up commission!

They/he pronouns, I'm a nonbinary trans masc. gremlin. I'm a very short boy, a whopping 5'3, and am definitely on the curvier, fluffier side when it comes to body types. (I like snacks. I regret nothing.) I've got real short brown hair that likes to stick up like crazy and golden brown eyes, which I'm told can look hazel in certain lighting. I put comfort over fashion with clothes because nothing is better in life than an oversized hoodie and sweatpants. Cozy heaven right there.

Being neurodivergent tends to make people think I'm odd or strange. I like it though. I like being different! It can be a little lonely though. Since social skills aren't my strong suit, I usually try to put people at ease with humor! (I follow the Mirio Togata theory that laughter makes everything better.) I also like complimenting people and letting them know they're doing a good job. Everybody needs to be appreciated sometimes. Overall, I'm told I'm too nice for my own good, but my family knows that only goes so far before my temper slips and I get sneaky. I'm not above using people's assumption that I'm naive against them. Mama Star didn't raise no fool.

For interests, I'm a nerd that loves learning. In true hyper introvert fashion, I bury myself into books on everything from revolutionary history to human zoology. I spend way too much time on Duolingo learning as many languages (Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese...) as I can and grew up reading books on medical terminology and emergency first aid. You already know this, but creative stuff is essentially my life though. I constantly have stories floating in my head and like to draw, paint, sing, play piano and voice act. I'm hoping to pick up guitar or harmonica next. I always have music playing on my phone. 24/7 at home.

The things I value most in people are kindness, a good sense of humor, and a mostly laid-back attitude to offset my anxious little ass. I would want someone that makes me feel safe to be myself - quirks, oddities, flaws and all. I like someone who can bounce back and forth between silly, light-hearted shenanigans to more serious, borderline philosophical discussions. (Intelligence is sexy, yo!) That's more of a bonus though. Someone that can be a friend and fellow adventurer in life is the more important aspect.

Shanks definitely strikes me as the type to be far more attracted to someone's personality than their appearance, but make no mistake—you're his little cutie patootie of a gremlin! He honestly enjoys the fact that you're over a foot shorter than him; he can just pick you up and carry you around and through you over his shoulder with ease (this is Shanks, though; he could do the same if you were a foot taller than him, LOL!). If he had to pick a favorite feature about you, it would probably be your wild, untameable hair. It speaks to his own wild and untameable nature!

Don't worry about your neurodivergence. Shanks likes that you're different, too! In fact, it would probably be the thing about you that catches his eye—that special spark that makes you, you. You can feel safe in your uniqueness with Shanks; he'll love every aspect of you, whether you consider it a flaw or a strength, simply because it is a part of you. And in the moments where you're less than appreciative about a part of yourself, you can count on Shanks to swoop in and tell you all the reasons why you should appreciate that part of yourself. He always knows the right things to say, especially because he one hundred percent feels that he's just speaking the truth! He'll definitely appreciate your love of humor, too. Once you show this man that you like to sing, it's over. Any and every opportunity that arises where a song can be involved, you can be he's dragging you into it.

Y'all are out drinking at a bar? He's dragging you to the dance floor to start shamelessly dancing goofily with you, not satisfied until you're screaming the songs playing around you at the top of your lungs right along with him.

Gatherings with friends? It's inevitable that a guitar or some kind of musical instrument comes out—or, if one's unavailable, making a beat with clapping hands, stomps, etc. so you can all dance around and sing like drunken fools. Some of you probably are drunken fools, because there is no party that Shanks throws that doesn't alcohol, and lots of it.

Trying to do chores around the house? Shanks doesn't get much down with the way he waltzes around with the broom or pretends the duster is a microphone. And if you walk by while he's in his fun mood, watch out, because he's dragging you right into his antics and not letting go until you make his solo performance a duet!

He will definitely look for jaunty piano tunes for you to learn. You don't have to sing along if you don't want to, but he will! Badly. More badly than usual and totally on purpose because he wants to break your intense concentration with laughter. You can never finish a song on the piano because Shanks will have you busting a gut laughing before you even get halfway.

The point is, Shanks just uses your musical interests and talents to make his spontaneous and fun lifestyle even more so! You'd better buckle up, because you're along for the ride!

And, finally, the third part of your Tier III match-up: the drabble! For this, I decided to take inspiration from your love of learning. Enjoy!:

"Fascinating..." you murmur appreciatively to yourself as your eyes sweep down the page of the thick, heavy book in front of you. You're hunched over the library table as if your posture will make you that much more absorbed in what you're reading—as if you can get more absorbed than you already are. You're only dimly aware of the spacious library around you, too busy digesting each and every factoid presented in the astronomy textbook that you've had your nose buried into for the past hour. When you turn the page, you hunch forward a little more, your nose nearly brushing the crisp-smelling pages—and you hear a snort of laughter that yanks you out of your intellectual rapture like a yo-yo being jerked back into someone's hand.

You glance up to see Shanks sitting in the seat across from you. He's got his crossed arms propped up on the table and his chin resting atop them, and he's watching you read with an expression so full of dreamy, starry-eyed adoration that you reflexively blush. You don't know how long he's been sitting there, either, which makes you flush even more. Last you recall, he'd wandered off into the stacks to find something that might occupy his own attention. Of course, that was right before you'd buried your nose in this textbook. There was no telling how much time had passed.

"You didn't find anything to read?" you ask, taking note of the absence of a book in front of him.

"Nope," he quips, and his serene smile widens. "I'm much more entertained watching you."

A shy smile blossoms on your face before you can stop it, and you shyly wiggle in the chair.

"'M not that interesting," you mumble bashfully. You slide down in your chair a little at the crook of Shank's brow.

"I beg to differ," he retorts. "You don't get to see the expressions you make when you read something. But I do, and I like them."

"Shanks..." you start, but you don't know what to say. Not that you could say much with the big, cheesy grin on your face—and you certainly don't know how to stop smiling. The fact that Shanks found your rapturous pursuit of knowledge so captivating made you downright giddy.

Still...

"I hate for you to just sit here and watch me read," you pout. You know that he is more than content to do so—it was he who brought you to the library for your date, after all—but it was still a date, and you didn't want him to sit there without being acknowledged at all. It just didn't seem that fair.

Shanks knew that it would bother you even if he argued otherwise, so he didn't bother. Instead, he waved a hand toward the book before you and said, "Then tell me about what you're reading."

You, naturally, were more than happy to oblige.

"Okay!" you cry delightedly, instantly growing giddy again at the notion of sharing the fascinating things you'd learned. As you began to babble about the various classification of stars, you almost drifted off into that state of being totally unaware of everything around you again—almost. Because you made it a point this time to stay aware of the handsome man listening intently to your excited rant, and you were glad for it.

If you hadn't been paying attention, you would have missed how totally lovesick he looked just listening to you.

I love your Paige doll so much and I was so shocked to see that she was made just recently. Top tier blorbo wife to the point that I looked to see if you sold your dolls. I saw way back you said you would want to hone your skills if you took doll coms, so how are you feeling on that? Do you have doll making resources n tips? I'm sorry if this is a lot I just got real excited she looks so good

Omg ur totally fine!!! I love answering questions about my dolls ^w^ I'm so happy you love Paige so much! She has definitely been one of my more time consuming bigger projects! I love her a whole lot too!

So about commissions: I have no idea what the pricing would be tbh. I feel like my dolls aren't really up to the most professional quality; their clothes aren't removable and the paint chips a lot 😅 I would definitely have to factor that in when pricing.

I've recently been diagnosed with bilateral carpal tunnel, making every and all forms of art I do pretty painful for me, but I persist because the passion is VERY strong in my autism brain. But this is the main factor stopping me from taking commissions. I feel like because of this, I would want to price my dolls like $300 minimum to make it feel worth it, which I feel like is a little pricey and unfair because of the shoddy quality of my work. These dolls definitely do take me a really long time due to working through the pain, and there's a lot of steps to every part!

I would definitely not be opposed to taking a commission though! I feel like my portfolio is big enough, I'm just like, not a business person at all hahaha. Maybe I'll open a slot soon? I wonder how much people would pay for my dolls? Hmm

As for tips and tricks for dolls, I would recommend taking lots of shortcuts! The clothes are sewn onto their bodies, painted on details, gluing on details, whatever you can really get away with. With my dolls specifically, there's always a certain way I want them to look, causing me to cut the face off completely and just sculpt my own lol. I highly recommend getting some apoxie sculpt for them! As for the materials; I don't really think it's necessary to get a bunch of high quality ones. I just use acrylic paints for a lot of things, though I do admit it would be beneficial to invest in Mr. Super Clear sealant because every other sealant I've used causes problems haha. You can find used dolls at thrift stores, or bait dolls on ebay. I really enjoy the ones with articulation, but keep in mind that if you want to paint around the joints, there really isn't anything you can do to prevent paint chipping: it will happen 😂

I always love answering questions though! Feel free to send any more! I'm very passionate about my dolls, I wish I able-bodied enough to make it my full time job, but having it as a hobby is just fine for me tbh!

ohhh when he's in love with someone, everything about them gets his heart racing <3 just thinking about them is already enough let alone being near them. when he fell in love with vitali he would literally get weak at the knees by the mere thought of him which was. a little unfortunate considering vitali is his fixer and he saw him pretty regularly!!! but he was being very brave about it

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

vincent 100% believes in love at first sight but is also a firm believer it's something you don't notice until time has already passed. he feels like if you immediately think you're in love that might be your brain playing tricks on you, it's more of a thing that makes you look back later and go "ohhhh so i WAS just in love the whole time actually"

vincent is mostly looking for comfort. he worries a lot about how other people perceive him and wants to find someone he feels 100% comfortable with and he doesn't have to like. "perform" in a certain way to make sure he's being perceived the way he wants people to perceive him. he's found all of this with vitali :) <3

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticeable? what changes when they're in love?

when vincent has a crush, he will try to make excuses to see the other person more. he's very nervous about it all and doesn't even necessarily wants to talk to them or anything, he just likes being near them and the thought of them possibly initiating a conversation with him rather than the other way round. when he's actually in love, this will only become worse LMFAO he isn't one to take initiative quickly so he just yearns and suffers in silence, and secretly hopes the more time he spends around the other person they'll fall in love with him as well and initiate something. anything. at all. please help him

vincent can be away from vitali perfectly fine for as long as needed, but does notice his absence a lot and is just. constantly aware of it. ever since he got rid of johnny in his head, it's been very quiet for him so he doesn't like to be alone and especially being away from vitali causes his surroundings to be so so quiet and he hates that ://

when they're not together, vincent just acts normally as any other day, but the longer they're apart the quieter he'll get because he ends up sinking into deep thought. if they still talk over the phone regularly or text each other on occasion it goes a lot better for him, because he'll know what vito is up to and how he's doing and that makes him worry a lot less

💚 GREEN HEART - what things make your oc feel comforted? hugs, kisses, food?

so so many things honestly LOL just in general other people doing things for vincent makes him feel loved and he will find comfort in even the smallest of things. since he's always a pretty animated and excited person, his friends tend to notice immediately when he's not feeling well and will hug him spontaneously which usually already helps him a lot :) a makeout session with vitali is also always much appreciated <3 LMFAO

💖 SPARKLING HEART - are they a subtle or a showy lover?

vincent is a showy lover for sure <3 he loves showering vitali in affection (vito is ok with that dw he has his permission to kiss him in public LMFAO) and will take every opportunity he gets to give him a kiss or hold his hand or give him a hug :) he doesn't really care about his "reputation" or whatever and neither does vitali so they're not keeping up appearances for anyone, so they can just be themselves

💌 LOVE LETTER - do they like love letters? what kind of messages do they leave for their partner?

vincent has never received a love letter and he's fine with that <3 vitali tells him often how much he loves him and that actually means more to vincent than any letter ever could because he knows that vito still struggles with showing vulnerability every now and then and what is more vulnerable than repeatedly confessing your love to someone?

he leaves vitali a lot of notes with reminders, but also any time he leaves the house when vitali is busy with something (so he can't tell him directly) he'll leave a note to let him know where he's gone off to. he also leaves him random sticky notes with doodles and "i love you"-s and stuff like that :)

💔 BROKEN HEART - what could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?

disappear out of his life :( vincent doesn't mind breaking up; if it's something that's best for them then he does not mind at all, prioritizing vitali's and his own well-being and their friendship over their romantic relationship. however, it WOULD break his heart if vitali were to just. leave entirely. and never come back. vincent cares so much about him and has already lost people in the past and he really just. does not want to lose vitali as well ;w;;

they have fucked up zygodactyl parrot hands and feet. no reason, just some flavor lmao. hes a jokester, a goober if you will, always keeping their spirits high. a scrappy lil fella. optimistic, confident, could befriend anyone in any tavern, and drink them under the table while he's at it. so loyal that its a flaw, not a trait.

as an egg, he was plundered by pirates from a small island apart of the moonshae isles. (the pirates are good guys, its a whole situation) he was raised by the crew on the open seas. they operated more like a nautical merry band of robin hoods than pirates. the captain was a retired harper, and had a strict code of conduct.

the story of how they became a barbarian though, is quite the tale. this is already going to be so long tho, so maybe some other time lol. after all is said and done, he left the sea behind for a life of adventuring on land, and comes out the other end with the same amount of jolly zest for life, but now with a deadly temper when the conditions are right.

their war hammer, Feather Fall, is enchanted to be completely weightless, and still hits with all the deadly weight of any war hammer. he picked it up while escaping captivity. he had been held captive for so long that he was in poor health by the time of his escape. he was so atrophied, feather fall was the only thing in the armory (that was burning down) (again, its a whole situation) that he could lift to take with him as he fled.

during one of the many "missions" heller went on with their crew, the tip of their beak was blown off after a risky maneuver to save their ship mates from certain death. the ship mates and involved crew felt so guilty for making heller risk his life that they pooled together enough silver to commission him an ornate prosthetic with a polished red jewel for his beak. its fashioned to the keratin of his beak by screws, and he can take it off when it suits him. their beak gets sore whenever a stormfront comes through.

they grew up in a remote village deep in the wilderness. this village was ruled over and governed by three prominent, ancient families of gnomes: the chokecherrys, who are rangers, the brambleboots, who are druids, and the fiddleheads, who are clerics. if you hadn't guessed by now, the village worships all aspects of nature, and live and die by its balance. on the surface, it was all very peaceful, serene even. picturesque. but underneath its surface, behind closed doors, the politics of the three families are cutthroat, high stakes, and taken deadly seriously. each of the families collectively vie for the most divine clout from their respective pantheons of nature gods, and will do Anything to put themselves ahead of the other families. piously, of course.

through a series of bullshit events, masha is violently exiled from their village for entirely petty familial dispute related reasons. (another quite-the-tale situation). it was during their years of isolation in the wilds that they had a chance encounter with an archfey in need of a warlock servant. and well! the rest is history. they have a positive, but ultimately complicated relationship with their patron. honestly i could go on and on about that, but this already feels like a lot of information lol.

I’m the previous anon that sent in the ask about Nesta not having another book. I strongly believe that the Valkyries will take over the Prison with Nesta ruling over it as a general. From political standpoint, it makes a lot of sense, or to me it does. And I just love the idea of the Prison being this little sanctuary for the Valkyries with maybe some Pegasus in the future.

As for Azriel’s book, I definitely think plot wise it will involve Illyria for obvious reasons, I know some believe an Illyrian rebellion might happen. And definitely Enalius because of Truth-Teller, Ramiel could be his plot or Elucien’s (or split in half), same with the Autumn Court but it feels more for Azriel’s story since Eris is more connected to Autumn than Lucien, and like you said, Eris has been working with the IC, and then the theories that Gwyn is a Vanserra. Imagine the drama that would unfold, but it would be funny imo. Especially since Azriel hates that family.

I think Gwynriel romance won’t start until the middle of the book/second part of his story, which I’m fine with. I want the slow burn to burn. Please make that man grovel. The first part could be him working on his self worth, unresolved feelings for Mor, and then maybe what happened with Elain. But dealing with Mor feels more important since he spent 500 years obsessing over her. I’m not sure if Merrill will be a villain or not. I’ve seen theories on Gwynriel being a retelling of the Little Mermaid. I think Gwyn helping with research is going to come into play and in the Blood Rite we saw some spy qualities from her, so maybe she’ll go on missions. I think Azriel and Gwyn will become closer from training, teaching each other Illyrian and Valkyrie techniques, late nights researching together, and if she does do spy things then he’ll have to train her for certain things. Also, I think it’s very possible that Gwyn will find Narben based on some things from ACOSF. The Prison is Valkyrie territory, and Nesta is the general that rules over it with Gwydion and Narben safely in their possession.

I could see Azriel and Gwyn discovering something with Ramiel that could be used to build up the plot for Koschei and the mortal queens. Some crumbs might be sprinkled. I have a lot of ideas with Gwynriel. Elucien’s book will be Vassa’s curse, taking down Koschei, dealing with the Spring Court, and perhaps the mortal queens. I want to see courtier Elain and Lucien. They’re the courtier couple. Sorry for the long ask! I’m in an excited mood!

Idk about the prison cause they need the prison, and idk how the Valkyries would feel being basically guards there. Not to mention, the IC never wanna go there unless needed. So Cassian and Az, especially if Gwynriel happens, will have something to say about it. Unless they wipe out the prison, maybe which honestly begs the question of what or who else is the prison. But I'm living for the idea of the Prison becoming a place for Peagus so if the prison comes down in here for it. I wouldn't mind them taking over this spot. I just don't want them to become badass prison guards lol.

100% on the second paragraph and I highly doubt the Illyrian rebellion is done. You're telling me it was a huge focal point in acofas and then somehow, off page it was resolved??? Yeah I doubt that. I don't know how to feel about the Gwyn is a Vanserra. I get where people are coming from with it so it would make sense if sjm does it. Since there's already an established family drama plot line with Lucien idk feels like too much of the same to me. But if she's going for Kardashians level of drama for the Vanserras then yeah let's do it.

I have seen the Little Mermaid theory around too and my advice is like for or other folktales and mythology that can be franksteined into it. It's a fairly sound theory but Sarah is and has never been straightforward with a retelling. There are always twists that pull in elements from other fairytale, folklore and mythology. And yeah I definitely agree with your Gwynriel/Az book points. It has to be slow burn for so many reasons. Yeah he says he's over Mor and let it go but did you my guy??? Did you??? The necklace needs to be addressed although I don't think it's going to be this huge thing that alot of readers believe it will be. I think it's gonna be one scene that plays out, and there's gonna be a visceral reaction from Elain. It's gonna be a catalyst for both or one pairing. Regardless if Elain and Az both moved on its still kinda weird to see a gift given to you on someone else. I also think it's important for a Gwynriel romance to be slow burn bc Az is fucking clueless and needs alot to work on and Gwyn has a lot of healing to do.

And yes, I would love to see Lucien and Elain play courtiers. I think, well, I know Lucien can play the court politics game, but Elain would fit into that so well. They both have so much charm, charisma, and observation skills. It's gonna be so good. I'm so pumped for their book. I know a lot of people want and are expecting Gwynriel/Az book. I, too, think it's possible.. but ugh, I want The Elucien book so bad, and I've always been in the camp of its next.

I guess it's gonna come down to who's the big bad...Koschei or Merill? I doubt it's the mortal queens

you raised very good points about commissions. my process and quality isn't good or efficient enough to match with the price point i want to sell it at, so it makes commissions hard. i think for genshin we're quite lucky in a sense they have explicitly made it ok so long as it is within a certain amount of quantity (for physical merch) or not more than certain amount, but it is a tricky situation for other fandoms. plus, expectations is a whole other bag of worms. i always dreamed of commercializing my work but perhaps maturity is knowing it's okay to just write for funsies.

i thought i had a good grasp of mondstadt's lore until the whole quest with the upside down statue. i've never understood mondstadt ever since then LOL. in fact, mondstadt looks so innocent but it's probably the most sus nation because of the characters living in mondstadt (albedo, lisa, kaeya, VENTI. he's hiding so many things & acting all ehe i know it).

I didn't know they explicitly said making money off of fan work was okay! I mean, I kind of guessed because they even sponsor some fan work. I think that's actually really smart and cool that they do that. That'll put me at ease if I ever setup commissions or the like for my Genshin Impact fanfics. (Unlikely, but good to know.)

Yeah, I remember thinking Mondstadt lore was pretty deep but then I remember the research I did into some of Inazuma's lore and there was a lot there too. There's just so much world building in the game that I can't keep track of it all lol. And I agree about them being sus, especially Venti. I'm still wondering what Albedo meant about preventing him from destroying Mondstadt??? Like??? Are we going to resolve that anytime soon??? I hope we get something like a Mondstadt part two soon. Probably during an interlude quest? Maybe?

Hello hello! Welcome back and I hope university eases up on you soon! Thank you for the kind comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the fic, it was so much fun to write. I do hope to do more for them at some point especially after Kaveh's profile/lore drops, but right now I'm working on getting out the third fic in my Baizhu/Childe/Zhongli series haha.

I did spend a lot of time figuring out where Alhaitham would go for sex research of the places we've been, lol. I probably thought about it TOO much, to be honest. My thoughts:

Mondstadt probably has plenty of naughty content, being as open as it is, likely in poem or novel form for the most part? Liyue probably has more traditional erotic paintings and a few instruction manuals, often in less savory sales stalls off the main street (like under the docks).

Same for Inazuma, though it may not be an art form that's flourished while Inazuma was in the grip of so many decrees. I bet it's about to undergo a renaissance though, with the loosening of restrictions and resumption of imports. And Sumeru...the Akademiya probably has some dry old books on sex from people that have never had it, focusing on anatomy, but I imagine Port Ormos the party town probably had quite the fun knowledge capsules when the Akasha was functioning, haha.

Fontaine is probably about 5 years out from filming the first adult movie. idk about Natlan's current status due to the game's allergy to giving us Natlan lore, but Snezhnayans probably pass dirty mags around the barracks and give each other handies to keep warm. And you KNOW there are a lot of pinups that look suspiciously like the Harbingers, lmao.

You are also correct that I am hella looking forward to Baizhu! He's who I've most looked forward to ever since I met him when I started playing in 1.3. Two years of waiting! I have about 360 wishes saved for next patch and unfortunately I want Nahida, Nilou, Baizhu, AND Kaveh, but the good news is that I'm 40ish into pity on a guarantee right now. I may decide to skip Nilou in favor of going for Baizhu's weapon, we'll see. I refuse to go below 180 pulls before his banner, he WILL come home one way or another.

Good luck on your own Kaveh pulls when the time comes! He looks like a really fun unit and I'm planning on triple crowning him myself b/c babygirl deserves to be treated just as well as Alhaitham even if he's not a 5 star. (Which will make...4 dendro guys triple crowned for me. Send help, I have an addiction.)
