You and Midoriya walk into the small convenience store, you already having the vegan chips you want in mind. Midoriya finds the bag of chips he wants but you... they're nowhere in sight.

"Hey is everything alright?" Midoriya asks when he sees you distressed.

"I can't find the Takis. Did they seriously run out of them?" you ask all pouty. This sucks, that was the thing you were really looking forward too all day. Being vegan meant not eating just about all the chips there are.

The only vegan ones there were was Lay's but you're not in the mood for that. Midoriya smiles at you "Aww love its ok. We can look somewhere else for them and if we still can't find them than I won't eat chips today either."

The idea of your boyfriend willing to give up his snack for you makes you feel some type of way. Who does that? Your supportive boyfriend that's who. You tell him he doesn't have to do all that but he insists that its ok.

You smile "Thanks Izuku". He puts his bag of chips back in their place and grabs your hand to exit the convenience store.

You did find Takis at another store so both of snacked away when you both got home.

Bakugou

~Lowkey bullies you for it. But in a loving way.

~ Acts bothered every time you reject some of his food cuz it has dairy products but in his head he's like "Fuck I forgot!"

~ He was like "Tch pathetic" when you told him but when he sees how important being vegan is for you, he tries learning how to cook vegan recipes.

Your tummy growls you haven't eaten since breakfast. You have no idea what to cook though, last time you checked there was no vegan ingredients for you to cook something.

Your tummy growls again so you get up and get dressed to head out to buy some oat milk and a box of Life cereal. Its not much but at least you'll eat something.

You head to front door but then you hear someone scream "OI! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING?!" you turn around scared shitless and see Bakugou in the kitchen holding two plates of food.

What the- is that the smell of Mac and Cheese? Is that the vegan cheese you buy for yourself!? You gasp "Katsuki! Did you made vegan Mac and Cheese?!" you ask excitedly. Truth is Bakugou has been practicing making vegan Mac and Cheese, but he wanted to make sure it was perfect for you.

He clicks his tongue "Tch yes you idiot. Now come over here and eat it fore I make you eat it!" you happily oblige. This meant more than he could ever know.

You two sit down and eat. He did a good job, it was really good.

"Mmm. Katsuki you should be vegan too."

"Hell no!"

Todoroki

~Yes this man respects you and everything you do

~ When you told him he was taken aback a bit but immediately showed his support

You remember your first date with him. It was a surprise dinner at his place. You hadn't told him you were vegetarian cuz it just never came up. So when he set that stake he put hard work into in front of you, you were nervous to tell him.

He didn't notice anything. He takes some of his own stake and says "Here love." wanting to feed it to you but you go 🙊. He's confused, was there something wrong with the stake?

"What's wrong my love?" he asks a bit worried.

You sigh and fiddle with your fingers. "Shoto I'm really sorry for not telling you but...I'm vegetarian." you say not looking at him. You feel really bad that the stake he made is going to waste.

"Oh. You're vegetarian."

"Yeah."

"That means you don't eat meat right?"

"Yes."

"So what do you eat?"

Boy. You eat everything but meat lol 😭. Its ok baby was just too sheltered. You explain to him and when you're done he gets up and takes the two plates of stake away. You protest he can still eat his but he insists its ok. He wants to enjoy his cooking together.

So that night you guys made some delicious Soba Noodle Salad and enjoyed it together.

Kaminari

~ He's all cool with it. It doesn't matter to him

~He does forget a lot though.

~Like when he offers you some of his pepperoni pizza and then 10 seconds later, he's like "*Gaps* Sparks I'm so sorry I forgot!" 😭

Ever since you two began dating you guys have been hanging out together 24/7. (He's clingy as hell that's why) You guys study together, train together, and eat lunch together.

You have told him you're vegetarian, you have, but he's so goofy he forgets a lot. Its lunch time and you and him walk to the cafeteria together. You guys order your guys food and go sit at a table.

Listen, normally it would be Kaminari who would enjoy his non-vegetarian food. UA doesn't have that many vegetarian options so you would be the one watching him eat all like "Mm mm mm! 😋Sparks this is amazing try some... Wait... OMG I'm so sorry I forgot!" You're never bothered though as long as he eats something and is happy, you don't mind it.

Today though was the complete opposite though. There were some bomb vegetarian options and few meat options. So finally, you were going to enjoy something good! You're eating away and because it's been a long time since you were able to enjoy the school's food you were like, "MMMM! This is so good!!" and then you see Kaminari looking at you like😐.

"I'm sorry" you say a bit embarrassed.

He laughs and says "Aww, hey its ok. You never get to enjoy anything when we eat so go ahead" and smiles at you. You smile back and take some of your pasta and feed it to him. He eats it and says, "Holy shit this is good!" You both laughed and had a good lunch.

Kirishima

~ He respects and supports you being vegan.

~ No like actually hats off to you, he doesn't know how you do it.

~ He's the cutest carnivore there is so when he accepted the challenge of being vegan for a week he almost died.

He comes back from the gym, and he does not feel good. He felt like he was lacking in the gym recently and he thinks it's because he hasn't eaten meat. He's gets even more disappointed when he remembers he can't drink his protein milk! Fuck he felt like his world has stopped. Even though it's only been 5 hours.

You come out to greet him.

"Hi Kiri!" you say as you hug him.

"Hey baby" he says hugging you back.

You look up at him "Kiri I made lunch. Its vegan nuggets do you want some?" WTF vegan nuggets! Yes, the closest thing to meat ofc! He felt like he was saved, you guys go to the kitchen and sit down to eat. When he bites into his nugget he is met with disappointment. He tries not to show it though because he doesn't want to disappoint you, but you noticed immediately. "Kiri, are you ok?"

He tries to reassure you that he's fine but you don't let it go, so he gives in. He sighs "Baby, I'm sorry but these vegan nuggets are not it" he says pouting a bit. He really wanted to enjoy eating this with you but it's just not the same as meat. You giggle and tell him "Its ok. You can eat meat if you want. I don't care if you quit the challenge." Kiri looks at you. No, he's not going to quit the challenge he wants to make you proud. So, he goes on with the challenge.

The whole week was so stressful. Learning to read the ingredients to a snack and being disappointed he saw it contained dairy products was super annoying. He would drink his protein with water which he absolutely despised, but it was all good when you told him he can drink it with soy/oat milk. The memes he saw of people hating on vegans didn't help. Especially when the guys would eat meat in front of him and be so disrespectful about it 😭.

Then the week was over. You couldn't have been prouder of him. The moment he was free he ate all the burgers he wanted. As he should. Don't worry though, he gave you all his fries so both of you had a yummy meal.

He still doesn't budge as he stares at you and you just state at him as you inch closer and you put an arm around his waist as he sits on the bed meanwhile with you laying down, cold and shivering...man you should really turn on the heater, falls cold.

You then feel him slightly move as he decided to finally join you; though once he does he buried your head into the crook of his neck as he puts his chin on your head then slightly tilts his head as he smells the familiar scent of your shampoo then whined "bella...your so cruel...leaving me like that...you shall make it up by doing this with me.." Is the last thing you hear before you drift back to sleep again as you feel his hold get tighter and a sudden shift in movement as you feel a soft warmth on your forehead as you hear something along the lines of 'you're forgiven ♡'

Kiss Kiss Fall into another old hyperfixation

Anyway, I randomly wanted to redesign the main cast of Ouran in my style/ with headcanons and my own embellishments

Here's a screenshot redraw, I'll put all the redesigns below the break bc I did all the main characters & wanna talk about the choices I made. Also I made up that uniform redesign on the spot bc I when I was doing the characters I just put them in casual clothes lmao

(I might do some others later, like Renge, Kasanoda, Yasuchika, Benibara, etc.)

Going in order of my least favorite to top favorite. And dont mind that I didn't color the clothes, that's not whats important here lmao

Mori is only at the bottom because I don't like the drawing that much, I still think the design is pretty good. Though, like right when I finished coloring, I decided a bun/top-knot would look better so it's a bit disappointing there. In my head, Mori is kind of struggling to figure out who he is & what he wants to do, which is why he follows Honey around and doesn't talk much. He does genuinely like being around the other hosts though.

Also, the undercut because A) he has the reputation for being the scary one & it kinda suits that, B) uh do I even have to say it? ...its hot He does lowkey look like Sokka from Avatar tho, especially with the blue accents

Honey is next because again I think the drawing itself is a little off and the design is pretty close to Basil from Omori, which i didn't notice until it was too late lmao. One of the main things I didn't like about his character in the show was obviously how childlike he was & how girls still flirted with him even though he looked and acted 6; So now he still acts a bit childish but doesn't play it up as much & definitely has a more normal voice, not a fckn child's.

Haruhi! I definitely had to keep her glasses cuz they were really cute and kinda sold the whole 'commoner' thing in a way. But other than that I mainly wanted to balance out her femininity and masculinity to make her more androgynous/nonbinary/gender-fluid since she definitely has some of that going on in the show as is. I also gave her dark circles under her eyes to kinda show that she worked really hard to get into Ouran with low status.

Next up is Tamaki of course, getting into the characters I'm most happy with the designs of. One small thing I tried to do for each of them was give them varying hair tones; so even though Honey and Tamaki are both blond, I went very platinum-blond with him. When I started drawing him, my only real thought was "he has to be a pretty boy" so I dont have much to say about my choices, but i do think I succeeded. Don't mind the modern mullet thing, I can't stop it

Kyouya is definitely one of my favorite characters as is, seeing as he has one of the more fleshed out & heart-wrenching backstories in the show. I think the only thing I really wanted to change was getting rid of the Anime Bangs, so I just gave him this kinda sleek, kinda messy pushed-back look with a blue tint. Even though it's simple, I really struggled to come up with anything, until I found a page from the author saying smth like "I don't like the idea of him wearing neat clothes" with a picture of him in like a track suit so I did kinda the same outfit

My absolute #1 favorites, Hikaru & Kauru. They're honestly the ones that started it all because Kauru has been my favorite since I first saw the halloween episode (iykyk).

I don't know why, but I wanted their hair to be fluffier/curly and more of a natural(?) ginger color. I knew I wanted Kauru's to be redder and Hikaru's a bit lighter/blonder, but only subtly. I also gave Kauru a scar on his cheek from that time in Karuizawa, but most notably, I gave them blue and pink eyes as their signature colors. Lastly, their expressions are slightly different, because no matter how much they are in sync and try to match each other perfectly, Kauru's a much gentler soul than Hikaru, so I made Hikaru's smile a bit more snarky while Kauru's is soft.

it's 5pm after school hours and here you are. In class 3-2. With the man himself, gojo satoru.

"mm..my bad princess, got a little too worked up when you let out that cute little whimper."

"shut that mouth of yours or i wont clean up, forcing you to be a father." you grunt.

"whoa whoa relax y/n. I am not capable of raising a child at this age. but now that you mention ...kid may grow up looking dashing like m- oof!" an oof escaped from his lips as you fist struck his midsection.

"i am not playing your silly games, hand me the pill. now." you said, your tone deadly serious. Satoru made sure to carry emergency morning after pills at all times during days like this.

now you might be wondering how it ended up like this.

satoru was apart and the leader of those gangs at school. no it wasnt just a silly group that he made up, he would beat people up for fun, skip important class sessions if he wanted. hell, he beat up his physics teacher once for giving him a F for midterms, even though it was the consequences of his own actions.

not only that satoru was a big BIG flirt, girls didn't care that he was violent or rude. he was a handsome devil, women love devilish handsome men and satoru knew what he was capable of. one time he slept with your home economics teacher just because he thought she looked hot that day.

this whole idea of satoru isn't giving him a good image, nor is it doing any favors for you. you were once 'apart' of satoru's whole gang nonsense, until you decided to form your own. he thought it was adorable, how you put your hard work on to making a cute little gang on your own, he looked down on you and that was when you lost respect for him but things don't always go how its suppose to sometimes.

"god satoru, you came quicker than a lightning strike in a summer storm." you scoffed, swallowing the pill he had provided for you whilst drinking water out of your bottle.

"mhm i just got loads and loads of mini gojo satoru's in me, what can i say?" he tried to maintain a facade of nonchalance, but it was obvious that he was offended by your comment.

"if only you weren't so cooky and stupid, I would've had stayed within your circle."

something i haven’t fully talked about is how The Under mirrors The Upper.

like The Sun, The Waning Moon is “guarded” from those who would sneak to snuff out its power. however, the waning moon doesn’t have as much power as the sun, so not many go after it; leaving the “guardians” of the moon more freedom to do as they please.

the guardians of the waning moon are the 6 SINS; some of the first demons to defect from the upper after lucifer. the most powerful of the sins is avarice or “ava” (greed) and i’ve talked about him a bit before (and i love him) but i don’t give the other sins as much attention so let’s talk about them!!

also as a side note the sin gluttony doesn’t exist. why? cuz ava killed him :))))))

anyway tho:

(1) IRE (the SIN of wrath) -> she/her

ire is the resident hot head of the sins and the second shortest, taller than ava by a mere inch. she wears her hair in spiky ponytails, half red, half purple, and while she has a bad attitude she actually avoids cursing and tends to insert nonsense words into her speech when she gets really upset. she loves sweets and cute things but hates when people call her cute. very much a “that’s cute i want to break it” energy. she’s the third strongest of the sins but the most likely to whoop some ass bc of aforementioned anger issues LMAO.

(2) HUBRIS (the SIN of pride) -> he/him

literally the most flamboyant fag on planet earth i’m not even joking. he’s a diva and a model; tall and pretty with long hair and thick lashes. he’s overconfident but also loves to hype other people up, and can be extremely dramatic, his emotions a constant whirlwind. he cares about people very very deeply and always wants to lend a helping hand or ear to those in need. he’s actually the second strongest of the sins but is perhaps the least likely to use his powers. he hates blood and gore but if you really manage to push his buttons (he keeps them secret so it’s less likely) then he’ll tear you (the bitch) apart :3c

(3) PASSION “SION” (the SIN of lust) -> they/them

sion is team parent, the second eldest of the sins (younger than ava by a tad) and always looking after the rest of them as though they were their children. they’re very patient and mature and seem almost conservative in their appearance… though what they get up to in their own time is between themself and their partners lmao. despite being lust, like ava is greed, lust extends to a variety of different things and their thirst for companionship, care or affection runs deeper than only surface level sex. if they want something they want it in every way they can attain it. ava considers the two of them the most alike; very unassuming but carnal in every sense of the word :)

(4) APATHY (the SIN of sloth) -> he/they

the most similar to his calling card of the entire bunch, apa tends to be the most lowkey of the sins. he’s the most likely to stay behind and watch over the waning moon, and while he isn’t always a napper he does prefer a sedentary life. he does hibernate tho i need to figure out when and how, and to compensate stays awake 24/7 without needing sleep when he’s not in hibernation mode. low fi beats, music, and pillows are his jam.

(5): COVET “COVE” (the SIN of envy) -> they/them

cove is the youngest of the sins and has a big inferiority complex in being so young. they don’t have as much power as the other sins, and their childish ways do get the others to look after them quite often and they just want to be wise and powerful already. secretly they do enjoy the attention and enjoy being babied which is something ava and hubris tease them about a lot much to their chagrin, and they usually have a monopoly on sion’s time; the two of them go everywhere together. as they continue to gain exposure to the waning moon’s light hopefully they too will become just as powerful a sin as the rest of them :3

"STEP&CLAP" by yoshino aoyama (aka yoppi aka bocchis VA <3), i think yoppi making the song speaks for itself but its a rly cute song and i love thinking of Hitori and Nijika like tap dancing to it?? check out the rest of yoppi's debut album too!! her voice is so pretty and i was so happy finding out that there are 11 songs with her voice, instead of the 1 from the anime

idk why but i also think of them a lot when listening to PMMM's ost by yuki kaijuri, like "desiderium" and "not yet" and "mada dame yo"? these r kinda a stretch though but idk!!

i have a lot of boniji headcanons but i feel like its hard for me to like list them all in one spot because they usually come to me with context during relevant conversations?? but ill list whatever i can think of!:

this ones not necessarily boniji but i was thinking about it like an hour ago, but i really like the idea of Seika being a huge boniji supporter. like in the source material she already finds Bocchi really cute, so I get the impression she would really like to be an older sister figure for Bocchi (and probably gets jealous of Kikuri for holding that spot in Bocchi's life lol), and so Nijika being a potential love interest for Bocchi would make Seika double down hard on supporting boniji. she'd probably be the one who brings Bocchi up to Nijika more than Nijika would bring her up to Seika?? i also like to imagine that for Seika she has a similar complex to Yoyoko. but instead of "Bocchi is stealing my spot as Hiroi's younger sister figure," it would be "Kikuri is stealing my spot as Bocchi's older sister figure" LOL . if that makes any sense at all

this ones actually taken from a japanese twitter user, but they moved on from boniji after the anime ended. but they had some headcanons that REALLY stuck with me. my favorite was the idea that Bocchi and Nijika both have inferiority complexes with one another. iirc their (translated) words were along the lines of "Bocchi thinks of Nijika as a pure, comforting light in her life, one that could be muddied if Bocchi got involved with her. On the other hand, Nijika thinks of Bocchi as a reliable hero who outshines an ordinary girl like her." i just REALLY like it. it also reminds me of this conversation that Yoppi and Suzushiro had on the BTR podcast, about Bocchi and Nijika's first meeting! like nijika literally brought light into Bocchi's life awdsfsgdhgfjh

actually that same user above also made a tweet that is the reason why i associate Keina Suda's "veil" with boniji! they made a tweet about an AU idea, where, in the event that Nijika would ever pass away, Seika would give Bocchi her ribbon, which Hitori would wear from that point onwards as she continues to play music to honor Nijika's memory. they also suggested that in the opposite event of Hitori passing away, Nijika would possibly do something very rash out of despair but thats dark hahaha!!!!

i kinda think this goes without saying and i think its actually a fairly common HC for BTR characters in general, but I can definitely see Bocchi being trans

I like to imagine that shortly after Volume 2, Bocchi and Nijika would probably have another conversation

eventually, i'm sure if Bocchi and Nijika pursued a relationship that they'd eventually move in together (or like into the same room? if Kessoku Band had a sharehouse?), and since both Bocchi and Nijika tend to be minimalistic with their room decor, their shared room would again become filled with a ton of Ryo's clothes and items and instruments, like how Nijika's room at Seika's apartment is

i think they'd both end up being really touchy with each other, especially when nervous? Bocchi kind of already does this when she's in new places (eg bringing Kita to Shimokitazawa, or going to FOLT for the first time and being dragged by Nijika), but I think it would grow to them finding comfort with each other?

idk if this is necessarily a HC but i really like how Bocchi and Nijika emotionally support each other, even in source. Nijika is shown to have a really good read on Bocchi (to the point of Bocchi worrying that Nijika is actually a psychic), knowing Bocchi's common thought processes, and picking up from Bocchi's mother during her first visit to Kanazawa that karaage chicken can bring Bocchi out of her anxiety attacks, and seems to be the only character who actually comments on Bocchi's growth as an individual and actively tries to facilitate it; but she also doesn't lovebomb Bocchi with praise, striking what seems to be a good balance for pushing Bocchi but also being a reliable confidant for her too.

one of my favorite details from the anime that i really feel doesnt get talked about as often as it should is when Nijika finally notices that Bocchi is guitarhero! she definitely wasn't the first to notice (Seika noticed first, but it seemed like Seika only knew about guitarhero via Nijika. When she notices that Bocchi's playing sounds familiar, her thought process immediately goes towards wondering why Nijika isn't noticing, and then she just tells them to get back to work) but she was the first one that Bocchi admits it too. but my favorite part is how Bocchi says that she wanted to change and grow as a person before telling them the truth, and she says that she especially wanted to grow before Nijika in particular found out! its just really cute, i love how Bocchi was worried about disappointing Nijika. and i like how, after some growth, Bocchi's dream turns from "becoming popular" to "making Kessoku Band the best band it can be" which is like almost basically the same as Nijika's dream! and so it's really nice when Bocchi doubles down on that goal by not remotely entertaining the idea of leaving Kessoku Band, even when goaded by promises of popularity.

last headcanon! because i ran out of thoughts and just came up with this on the spot. but i also like the idea that as the years go on, Bocchi and Nijika in particular may kind of become more similar in personality. i mean, they'd definitely still be distinctly them, but i like to think that Bocchi would eventually start picking up more optimistic habits and stop grimacing all the time, while Nijika would eventually become a little more lax and not reflexively try to dismiss her own negative feelings via looking at the silver lining. i thought of that when Nijika kinda dismisses her family dynamics with her mother's passing and her father's neglect after Kessoku's first real performance, as well as Nijika seeming to admit after inhaling Bocchi Dust(?) during her and Kita's Kanazawa visit that some of her optimism is performative

ok another one Nijika seems to have her art skills commented on sometimes so i like to imagine she has doodles of Bocchi in her sketchbook (alongside everyone else but mostly Bocchi). like think of like Miles Morales drawing a ton of Gwen Stacy like that kinda deal but with Nijika drawing Bocchi. and like Bocchi finds the sketchbook and Nijika freaks out and Bocchi actually doesnt look bc she doesnt want to do something wrong. but then Ryo or Kita take it and look instead and then show Bocchi and Bocchi melts into a flustered puddle

wowwow this got long! sorry! i really mean it when im like OBSESSED with these two like i think ive thought about them on a daily basis ever since the episode aired where Nijika bought Bocchi a cola. isnt that cute, too!? she picked up on Bocchi's favorite soda so quickly! and her buying a box of energy drinks for Bocchi despite not understanding why at all! girlfriend behavior

i really really want to make more boniji content, i'd like to be more active in posting my fics and drabbles and drawings, someday soon. right now most of my boniji content is just illegible sketches in my sketchbook lol

Just curious, I’ve heard your opinion on the D1 and D3 outfits, but I’ve never heard your opinion on D2

cuz half the time i dont have anything to say about them lol, i like em honestly, the only outfits that feel 'fake' are the main isle gear stuff but its a believable upgrade from the d1 isle gear and i love how it all looks (jays gear is just so good! Harry's is obvs the best-being such a good mix between pirate and actual outfit) i even like Mals! though i think it would be real cool if she had a small bit of loose within all her tight-lilke a big ol jacket or something (cough cough*old art)

i honestly LOVE all of the lady of the court outfits Mal has!!! like-they're all so pretty and feel so real and mal does look very good in them-but its also clearly something she doesn't feel real in them and aoishdiaushda D2 designs were honestly top tier right below D1.

like-look at these-SO CUTE! i love them so much, honestly they lowkey reused these for D3 but just made them more 'mal' and less princess so i wouldn't be cursed with-that pink purple wrap dress thing.

i even like the cotillion stuff!(minus Janes and Dougs outfits-gold is NOT Doug's color, and also lonnies-SHES CHINESE NOT JAPANESE) like-i LIKE Mal's dresses! even the yellow/blue one! it just feels off because its SUPPOSED to look bad on her-its not supposed to feel right on her because its not HER. im actually gonna try to keep this short bc g-d knows like 80% of my brain power’s gone into constantly babbling about owen for the last year. so im gonna speed run this. main opinion? he’s character of all time to me. hes mentally ill hes mean he thinks love is weakness he loves so hard he’d burn down the world for it hes a bitch he cares for his friends sooo much hes good at his job hes bad at his job. hes misogynistic hes a woman hes homophobic hes gay he prioritizes casual sex hes a little bit in love with all his friends hes tries to save others he wants to be saved hes wants to die he gets angry when hes killed he wants to contribute something good he destroys everything he touches hes loyal to a fault he judas’d jack. everyone he loves leaves him he nearly destroyed the world to keep from being abandoned his parents didnt want him his mom never liked him. hes just some guy he’s the most insane bitch to ever exist. hes transmasc shes butch hes a straight guy she could be the worst woman ever hes a bi imbicile. hes mean and bitter and angry and awful and he tries to remind everyone and himself of it but hes good hes good hes good in the end.

other opinions uh… i think the writing handles him irresponsibly at times, and is disrespectful towards him, although maybe they thought it was justified cuz hes an ass sdjkfhds. but the undead arc is fucking mean to him in a lot of places. dmw in particular is like… idk it just strikes a particular tone at his expense, i don’t like it. it’s cruel. but torchwood isn’t exactly a show that respects its characters much. something that particularly bothers me is the way he oscillates between being fucked up and fine in a way that’s like… not realistic, it’s obvious it’s just a writing issue. like, the way he’s magically better and healthier and less of a prick after season 1, and then again after the undead arc. like that’s not how it works. that character growth wasn’t earned. that’s a pet peeve i have, and also kind of why s2 owen exists in a different place in my head as s1 owen. the main owen that lives in my head is him at his worst, not a version of him who’s randomly and inexplicably doing better and being kinder, and as a fic writer i like starting at that unhealthy baseline and trying to actually put the work into making him better, too. lord knows the show didn’t care enough to do it well. then again, it’s torchwood, yknow. the characters aren’t the focus. unfortunately.

i think he’s easily the best written character (not the best character, that's subjective ofc - but i also lowkey think he's the best character. but also im slam dunking him into a dumpster cuz he sucks)

tbh i don’t completely like his backstory? but it is what it is. i just think s2 owen feels very different from s1 owen and they worked so hard to make him more likeable which is nice and all but it’s almost at odds with his original characterization. like i said, s1 owen and s2 owen are practically diff characters to me

mmm and i dont like s2 owen quite as much ;-; i much prefer him in s1. i do like his undead arc though. well. i like aditd. dmw 😒 my beloathed

(THIS one’s controversial but imho!) him and jack have a very unhealthy + borderline abusive relationship but! it’s in a lowkey fruity way and not a, gag, paternal or brotherly way. ill talk about this more at some point, i wanna do an analysis of their relationship but i don't fully have my thoughts on it together yet. but i think they have smth a bit psychosexual (in the tomgreg definition of the word. where my succession freaks at) going on.

(in general i HATE the fatherly jack & owen angle it makes me super uncomfortable when jack flirts w him in canon. this is the horny show dude. why does authority figure automatically equal father figure to ppl. weird. jack's his commanding officer, guys. also the inherent homoeroticism of being someone's second in command. yknow. he brought him back from the fucking dead, dude. that was fruity with gwen & suzie and it was fruity with jack & owen idc.)

slightly adjacent - i think owen’s a lot gayer than he lets on / than people see him as. i don’t think he’s women-leaning at all, i think he’s more of a 50/50 bi, he’s just got some p heavy internalized issues going on. he’ll sleep with men, if the opportunity presents itself (so he can justify it, lawl), but i think he has issues with the idea of loving and dating one. but i think he’s just as attracted to men as he is to women. 

that being said, i dont think he’d call himself straight. one of my biggest pet peeves is fics where owen’s like “im not gay btw” he wouldnt fucking say that. i think if you asked owen about his sexuality he’d do a hand wavey motion and thatd be that

tosh x owen bad btw ive made my opinion on that clear. i like him with suzie and gwen and martha and even diane, but not tosh. not a cute dynamic. 

and speaking of, he doesnt secretly like tosh lol. ive seen ppl who think he’s secretly very fond of her - i don’t agree with that at all, cuz canon sure says the opposite. he respects her but he doesn't particularly like her very much. (cuz hes a bad taste MORON imagine not liking tosh. what a fucking freak.) which SUCKS i want them to be friends. i want them to be nerd buddies. but nooo. 

in general he’s a “bisexual man who treats women like shit therefore im shipping him w men till he learns be behave” type of character to me

he was rlly into punk shit as a teen + played with gender a little bit back then, + sexuality (kissing his guy friends in public to make a statement / piss someone off, that sort of thing). that was kind of his first experience with queerness + figuring himself out + bc of that it was born from a place of defiance that he never fully got over. helped him feel like he was taking back control over smth that made him feel like shit (his mom was. Not an ally. to say the least)

in fact a lot of his behavior is a result of his mom believing he’d always be a fuck up, that he’d never amount to anything. he wears spite like a badge. being a poor kid who became a doctor and getting engaged at 23 were both ‘fuck yous’ to his mom. 

he dabbled in playing drums as a teen (i stole this from burn but i mean owen already canonically skateboards just cuz burn brought his on-set. the rest of burn’s interests owen would probs find dorky tho). he still drums his fingers + pens on his desk a lot this drives everyone crazy. he needs fidget toys

oh he chews on pens also. and hes a chronic leg bouncer. (gwen also has anxious stims actually. if u get those two together on a bad day its a lil cacophony of sound. shes more a nail biting sort tho)

i dont come up with stuff for undead owen much cuz it bums me out but one of my few hcs is he gets rlly into gaming cuz its smth to do. cant skateboard anymore cuz he might hurt himself so he picks up thps *taps temple*. also he shreds at guitar hero but only privately (he thinks its cringe). hes mainly a ps2/ps3 player but tosh builds him a gaming pc (partially just cuz she wants to like the reward of getting to make smth w her hands dhfkdsj). he also gets into doom + postal from his youth again. hes a little more wary of shooter games now that it's his career but also its good for his anger fff

in my owandy verse he has an english bulldog named alfie and he babytalks him but its a very “no one will ever believe you” situation HFSDJHFSDKJFK

i think about owen and pets a lot bc it amuses me <3 i dont think hes a very pet-oriented person but i like the thought of him with reptiles or ferrets. i think he should be a ferret dad. ive been trying to weasel this (ha) into my owento verse bc i think ianto would be displeased.
