#megumi's trapped in a nightmare
i remember someone asking you for the second years favorite out of itafushikugi but who do you think the trio’s favorite senpais are?
& who do you think the adults (nanami gojo shoko yaga) favorite students are?
I'm assuming we're talking about the sea glass gardens universe for this and not canon.
Megumi: Yuuta. No competition. I'm pretty sure this is straight up canon with his comment that Yuuta was the only one of his senpais that he actually respected. He and Yuuta have a special relationship, even if Megumi isn't aware of his Boyhood.
Barring Yuuta, Maki would be his favorite. They have identical bitch instincts and are always on the same wavelength. They wander the world as these beautiful judgmental assholes and it's their ideal existences. Soul siblings.
I see Maki as sort of slowly growing into her place as Megumi's family. At the start, neither of them were exactly looking to forge blood family ties, what with their history, but I think they both understand what it's like to have the Zenin lurking on your periphery in a way no one else does. They look out for each other.
Nobara: Maki. I also can't debate canon on this one. Nobara simply adores Maki. And has a crush on her the size of Jupiter. She doesn't know Yuuta and has sworn revenge on him for winning the last Goodwill event, so Yuuta's out of the running, and Panda and Inumaki are her constant torments.
Still, were it not for her appreciation for Maki as her senpai (re: rampant Homosexual Desire), I think Panda would be her favorite. They have identical asshole instincts, not that Nobara would ever admit it. Remember them teaming up during the Goodwill event? Nobara secretly has a soft spot for Panda, except for all the moments where she wants to beat him with a hammer.
Yuuji: I think it's actually Inumaki. Maki and him get on great because they both can compete athletically, but Maki's disposition is more suited to Megumi. She's harder for him to connect with for him on a personality level. Inumaki's also very athletically inclined, and I see them becoming jogging buddies now that Yuuta's in Africa.
I see Inumaki looking out for him a little when he first arrived, the way he did for Yuuta. Yuuji's not the sort to be phased by the difficulty communicating, and I think he respects the hell out of Inumaki as a jujutsu sorcerer.
If we count the Kyoto students in this, his favorite is Todo, but that may or may not be Stockholm Syndrome. He. He got swept up in it. It happened so fast. He doesn't know how this happened or if he's allowed to leave. It kind of scares him.
Yuuta is not even in the running for Yuuji's favorite. The thought of Yuuta torments him. He's just all sparkling and perfect in Africa, what with his curse-free existence and unstoppable power and having Megumi as his boy and what not. Just. Fuck off.
Adults
Nanami: He has no favorites. He cannot play favorites. He has raised one of these children, as adopted another, and has played a very large role in teaching a third. It would be wrong to select favorites out of them.
But also it's Yuuji.
It's not that he actually likes Yuuji better than Megumi or Yuuta or any of the others; it's more that Yuuji's his student. Megumi's practically a son to him, but Gojo was the one who took the lead on raising him and training him. And while he will always do his best to support Yuuta, by the time he met Yuuta, Gojo had already become the sort of adult pillar of support in his life.
Yuuji's the one he took the lead on training. He was there when Yuuji first had someone die, first had to kill. And Yuuji reminds him so much of Haibara that it hurts sometimes. He has a soft spot for him.
Gojo: Gojo will play favorites. It's Megumi.
Sue him. His kid is his favorite. That's his little boy. He watched him grow up from the angriest first grader he ever met to the angriest high schooler he ever met. He's always gonna have a bit of a soft spot for his Megs.
If he couldn't pick Megumi, it would be Yuuta.
Again, sue him for playing favorites, but Yuuta's someone he's just endlessly proud of. He watched Yuuta go from being curled up on the floor of an execution chamber to being the most promising sorcerer of the modern age. Yuuta really gives him hope for the future and the next generation. He just adores the kid.
Shoko: If we're talking sea glass gardens, I think Megumi would win by default just because she has less face time with the kids and Megumi is the one she helped raise. She's his wine aunt. She's always gonna wanna pinch his cheeks and harass him about his hair. But if he's out of the running, it's Nobara. She reminds her of her at that age. Mostly in the fact that she's endlessly suffering from her two idiot best friends's mutual homosexuality. Shoko relates to Nobara on a spiritual level.
Yaga: Panda. That's his little boy. I'm pretty sure this is canon too--Maki explicitly states that the principal plays favorites with Panda in JJK0. He raised Panda and thinks of him as his own son. He adores the kid.
If Panda's out of the running, it's Megumi.
This is also because he remembers when Megumi was a little kid. He didn't help raise Megumi the way the rest of them did--he got cut out after the Zenin incident--but he remembers before, when he was trusted with Megumi. A part of him is always going to remember Megumi as the quiet little boy who used to hide under his desk to read.
I also just see him as keeping more distance from the kids. he's not as actively involved in their teaching. it's partially an act of self protection to have distance--a lot of kids don't make it to graduation. So his favorites are going to be the one he spent the most time with--namely panda and Megumi, just by pure default.
#sea glass gardens#megumi sort of swept the competition but in his defense it's hard to beat being their literal child#he's had more /time/ to endear himself to them#he was the village baby okay#megumi's trapped in a nightmare#you know when you're in high school and you don't want anyone to know your dad's the english teacher#yeah so it's that but /the entire faculty/#all of these people raised him#even with yaga it's a problem#yaga remembers him as the quiet little boy who used to hide under his desk#but /megumi/ remembers hiding under his fucking principal's desk as a little kid and falling asleep cuddling one of his stuffed animals#his fucking principal carried him to a couch and tucked him in for a nap in childhood#he's in agony. he's going to throw himself off the gym building. someone sedate him. he needs to scream into a pillow.#100% of the tokyo jujutsu high faculty has had some kind of hand in raising him. they all have seen him in his pajamas. they have all seen#him when he was sick or upset or when he hit puberty and his voice started cracking#the annoying teacher that drives everyone nuts is the guy that raised him. his legal guardian. the one that makes his life a living hell#whenever anyone flirts with him. /their teacher/ gave him The Talk and there were absolutely terrible jujutsu metaphors involved#gojo devastated that his little boy is grown up: *reading religiously off cue cards* make sure you and/or your partner /cast/ a /veil/ to#help protect from any /curses/ escaping#Megumi in hell: you can just say condoms#Gojo who will cry: i absolutely cannot#he's doing his level best to keep yuuji and nobara in the dark but /all/ of his senpais know that he's gojo satoru's little boy. it's like#having the fucking sword of damocles hanging over him. he knows one day they'll tell the others and he'll be in agony#just put him down like a sick dog at this point he cannot stand this

Home, at last.
manga spoilers! chapter 237 included.
Megumi Fushiguro reunites with his family, finally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The water that surrounded him stilled to a stop, making him float between the tides. His eyes were squeezed shut until an arm shook him whole, awaking him from a dream that felt way too long.
“Megumi,” The voice kept on calling, still shaking him, “Megumi, wake up!”
He knew who it was. That voice was Tsumiki’s. But that was impossible. He remembers. She was dead. He was the one who did it.
“Megumi,” She beamed, forcing him to open his eyes, “Megumi!”
Megumi couldn’t move. It wasn’t like before, when Sukuna trapped him inside his own body, and he couldn’t move. This time, he just didn’t want to move in fear of making it all disappear. This had to be a dream, right? If he lifted a finger, it could all dissolve into his mind. And he’d have to face reality. Wait, what reality? Where was he before? In Shinjuku, where he…
“Come on, Dad’s making pancakes!” Tsumiki slapped his arm one more time before bolting out of the room, a bounce in her steps.
Dad? Who, Toji Fushiguro? That is impossible. What kind of nightmare was this?
Megumi carefully lifted the blanket from his body, only to freeze once again. He was tiny. Incredibly, absurdly tiny. Avoiding his suspicions, he stood up and opened the door. The corridor was familiar, everything was.
And it was all confirmed to him when a voice exclaimed, “Satoru!”
Megumi froze again, dread creeping up his spine like a disease. It couldn’t be, it couldn’t possibly be.
“I got this!” Gojo assured dismissively, very much not getting it albeit his words.
He was there. Alive. Smiling and joking as always. Like nothing had changed. Megumi never felt so relieved in seeing Gojo, the same Gojo that used to annoy him endlessly, but that brought so much comfort as of now.
Beside the man, stood you. You from his memories, the one that he kept safe in his heart. Not the you from the real world. The you that he killed a few days ago.
You rolled your eyes like you always did. In a way that shows love.
“You got a burning pancake, that’s what. Even our neighbors can tell,” You smacked his hands away from the pan, handling it with caution before smoothing the surface with butter, “Set the table instead, will you?”
“You can’t kick the chef out of the kitchen! It’s like,” He bit his lip in contemplation, searching for an analogy that would leave you tongue-tied, “Kicking the musician from the stage!”
“Alright, Michael Jackson, my bad,” You laughed wholeheartedly when Gojo sticks out his tongue to you, “Go and wake up the–”
“Good morning!” Tsumiki interjected, waving her hand to you.
“Tsumiki,” You smiled immediately, you always did when you saw him or Tsumiki. For some reason, that made Megumi feel worse, “Did you sleep well?”
“Yes!” His sister sat in a stool that used to be too high for him to reach, “Megumi must’ve slept even better, I couldn’t wake him up!”
“Is that so?” You chuckled lightly, but then frowned at the silhouette standing in the corridor. Tilting your head, Megumi tensed up when your eyes focused on him, a smile adorning the corners of your lips, “Good morning, sleepyhead.”
“Megumi!” Tsumiki turned to face him, smiling too.
He walked up slowly to the counter, climbing into the stool on Tsumiki's left. Your eyes were no longer on him, which gave him time to regain his composure.
What was going on? Is this a dream, an illusion? Or is this the “life” that flashes before your eyes just before you die?
“Show off,” Someone scoffed beside him and Megumi almost forgot that Gojo was there. The man was leaning on the counter, admiring–no, scratch that, worshiping you flip the pancakes in the air.
“You’re just jealous,” You humored him, flexing your arm that held the pan as if being able to flip pancakes was a medal, “Now, which shape should I make?”
Tsumiki’s face lit up when you looked at her, awaiting her reply, “A heart!”
Megumi’s mouth moved on its own, “A dog!”
“A dog is too hard,” Tsumiki countered matter-of-factly, “A heart is simple!”
“A heart is too corny!” He argued childishly. Well, he was a child, technically.
“You’re too corny!”
A gasp ripped out of his throat, eyes bulging out of his tiny head to glare at his sister as if she had uttered the most heinous profanity at him.
Gojo laughed, his hand trying to muffle the sound, while you let out a breath that resembled a chuckle. He and Tsumiki only stopped bickering when you pushed two plates across the counter.
A heart-shaped pancake with strawberries and rose syrup drawn into a smiley face, banana slices framing the heart with raspberries in between the circles, on the rightmost plate. That one was Tsumiki’s, for sure.
And an oddly shaped pancake that, if you squint hard enough, could bear a resemblance to a canine creature–but Megumi knew what it was; three blueberries connected by thin lines of chocolate syrup, forming a triangle that was identical to the one on his Divine Dogs’ foreheads. That was his.
“Ta-dah!” And you smiled like you hadn’t made the sweetest thing for them just now.
Tsumiki’s eyes started to sparkle, “Thank you!” And she dug into her plate, munching the soft batter with an unwavering smile.
Megumi, on the other hand, wouldn’t budge.
“What’s wrong, Megs?” Gojo asked him curiously when he did nothing but stare at his plate, his lanky figure leaning on his shoulder. Fingers wiggling towards his plate, a mocking grin on his lips, “If you don’t eat, I’m sure someone–”
A spatula smacked his hand away, “Don’t pick on someone half your age, Satoru,” You chastised, but couldn't hide the endearment in your voice when you said his name, “What are you, a bully?”
Gojo held onto his hand as if a curse had just bit it off, “When did you get so violent? To get physically attacked under my own roof,” He deflated into a stool, throwing his head back while he lamented his situation, “What a cruel world!”
“Shut up and eat your pancakes,” You nagged, handing him a plate full of your failed attempts of doing Megumi’s dog-shaped ones.
“Do you even love me?” Gojo asked, utterly offended by the food that was given to him.
Megumi usually muted the squabble between the two of you in his head, unless you were insulting Gojo and needed backup (he’d gang up on him with no hesitation). But this time, he could but stare at the couple of idiots that picked up a pair of strays and raised them. Before Megumi could stop it, his eyes were pricked up with tears.
You took notice of it first, ignoring Gojo’s whining and turning to him, “What’s wrong, Gumi?”
The pure softness of your voice made him want to cry harder. He didn’t know. He didn’t know what was happening, or where he was and what it meant.
But he knew that he missed it.
The light-hearted quarrels between you and Gojo, the tranquility that mornings brought along with them, the easy-going atmosphere that always engulfed the Fushiguro-Gojo household when the four of you were together.
When did all that go away? Was it when Tsumiki got cursed? Or maybe when Gojo was sealed and everything in Shibuya turned the world upside down? Was it all gone the moment you left this world?
“Gumi,” The nickname snapped him out of it, reminding him of where he was, “Are you okay?” He was with you, with his family.
You, Tsumiki, and Gojo were staring at him worriedly. You had circled around the counter, facing and cupping his face onto your hands, holding him with so much care that he could do nothing but lean into your touch.
“I–I’m,” His mouth felt suddenly dry, no matter how much he licked his lips, “Can I hug you?”
Your eyes melted into a puddle of love and adoration, your arms wrapping around his tiny frame that trembled and quivered like a leaf in a thunderstorm.
“Shh, you’re okay,” Your quiet, sweet voice only made him sob louder, “We’re here, Gumi, you’re here.”
Megumi felt another pair of arms pressing up against him, Gojo hid his face in the crook of your neck but he somehow knew the kind of expression that the sorcerer was wearing. The kind of face that made curses and humans alike to tremble in fear. The sort of emotion that always appeared when someone dared to hurt his family.
Tsumiki nestled into your arms too, shielding her little brother from the world with her tiny arms. And you held them both in your own, with Gojo.
Megumi grabbed a chunk of your shirt, clenching his fist around the cloth. Gripping into you as if you were going to fade and slip through his fingers.
“You’re here,” You caressed his back, making little patterns with your finger. Megumi sniffled harshly, trying to just stop crying but he couldn’t. You pressed a kiss on the crown of his head, “We’re all here, sweetheart.”
Gojo ruffled his hair like he used to do when they met, and Tsumiki held his hand in the same way she did back when he was scared.
And, for a moment, Megumi forgot.
He forgot that this wasn’t real. And that Tsumiki was gone, that you were killed and Gojo defeated. He forgot that he was in Shinjuku, staring in the backseat of his own body at Hajime Kashimo, who challenged him–no, not him, Sukuna. He forgot that he had died.
But, for once in his life, he got what he wanted.
He was home. With his family.

You gradually regained your consciousness; you felt a dull throb in your head. You blinked slowly, struggling to focus, your surroundings initially a blur of shapes and colors that gradually sharpened into clarity.
You tried to move, to rub your temples but your heart beats quickened when you realized you were bound to a chair, your limbs securely tied with coarse ropes. Panic surged through your veins, your eyes widening as you struggled against your restrains, each tug to break free was met with resistance. Ropes tightly wrapped around your wrists and legs, a burning sensation, only serving to deepen your sense of helplessness.
“Fuck, fuck” you muttered.
Breathing heavily, your chest rising and falling in wild rhythm. You scanned the dimly lit room, searching for any sign of escape. But there was none, and you found yourself trapped in a nightmare worse than your reality.
Suddenly, a deep voice cut through the silence, coming from behind. A tone that sent shivers down your spine,
“No need to struggle princess”
The words dripped with menace. You were too scared to look behind not knowing what to face. You bit your lips that were quivering. From the shadow, he emerged. With hesitation you looked up to see the tall figure that concealed the dim light from you. His muscles taut beneath his shirt, a sly, dirty smirk tugged at the corners of his scarred lips. His dark black hair fell on his face gracefully, looking directly at your soul with his narrowed eyes. for a split second, you thought it was a more aggressive version of Megumi.
His presence, the way he stood in front of you, looking down at you sent a chill to your whole nervous system, making your breath hitch up.
“W-who are you? What am I doing here?”
He reached to grab your chin with his long fingers, forcing your head up to look at him.
“Shh-hh, don’t ask questions! Lemme introduce myself first” he paused, bringing another chair and sat right in front of you. “I’m sure you’ve heard about me…they probably warned you, I’m-”
“You’re Toji Zenin?!” you interrupted him
With a mocking tone, he leaned forward and said,
“I go by Fushiguro now! So don’t say Zenin ever again…so? Did you sleep well”
You stayed frozen in place, each inhale felt like shards of glass scraping down your throat. Consumed by fear, realizing that the man who’s been searching for you all around Tokyo, just to take your life away finally found you and was comfortably sitting in front of you. Your world narrowed, maybe it’s the end.
*flash back*
With a heavy weight in your heart, you left Jujutsu High in the dread of the night. Spending the night stargazing in the balcony wasn’t enough; you wanted to get completely detached so you left for some fresh air away, far away from Gojo.  The echo of what Gojo said to you still ringing in your ears. “you failed your family and now you’re failing everyone else in Jujutsu High” those words never left your mind.
“He’s right..I even failed myself” you muttered to yourself.
You walked through the streets, each step was a painful reminder that you’ve got nowhere to go, completely lost, nowhere and no one to turn to, feeling that you don’t belong anywhere. The darkness of the night enveloped you like a cloak. Your feet carried you to an unexpected place, standing in front of the big wooden door, you didn’t dare to knock, you just stood there in front of your parent’s house, memories flooding your mind. Maybe your parents were right for keeping you locked inside. Maybe someone like you was never meant to leave the safety of their house, maybe your parents knew that you would get hurt. But your family, who spent their life keeping you in the darkness of your room pushed you to marry a stranger, a man you never knew, never met; Gojo Satoru, just because of his good reputation, because he’s the strongest, maybe your parents thought he would keep you safe and will protect you, but he ended up slit opening a deep wound within you, once again awakening your trauma that you worked hard to learn how to live with.
“I was only a burden to everyone” you said to yourself,
You heard giggles so you stepped closer, peeking through the window. Your heart sank as you saw your family again, after so long. You didn’t know whether to feel happy or sad at their sight. Your parents and siblings, gathered together in the warm glow of the light. Carefree and content, laugher filling the air, a bittersweet melody to your ears. Their faces illuminated by smiles as they talked together.
You stood there, a silent observer on the outside looking in. A tear rolled down your cheek , a broken smile drawn on your face,
“They look happy without me”
You felt a sting in your chest,  loneliness washing over you again and again, it actually never left, loneliness was the only companion you had. It was as if you were peering into a world you had once knew, yet now felt completely disconnected.
History repeating itself, once again your family managed to make you feel like an outsider, a complete stranger. You felt as if you were a completely forgotten fragment of their life, a faded memory lost in the depth of time, as if you never been a part of their past.
Tears welled in your eyes as you turned away from the window, unable to bear the ache of being invisible to them your whole life. As you turned, you were met with a pair of glowing eyes looking directly at you, a tall masked figure that made you gasp , but before you could react, you got hit on your head with a metal bar…falling unconscious.
*End of flashback*
“Was that your parents house?” asked Toji
But you completely ignored his question, looking away from his intense gaze,
“What do you want from me?”
“Kill you, obviously… now answer my question..Was that your parents’ house?”
“Why does it matter to you?”
“As you can see, I feed on other’s suffering .. so it would be nice to learn more about your miserable past”
You frowned your brows in confusion,
“I had a normal, not miserable past" you lied, keeping your traumas to yourself,
“Oh hoho, let me guess, abused? Discriminated? No no ignored? That’s the right word… no one ever recognized you right? No one made you feel welcomed cuz you were different and people are scared of things that are different” he started
How did he know that? How did he know about your past? How could he describe what you've felt so accurately?
“N-no!” you lied again
“Come on don’t lie to me.. I know very well the face of someone who’s been discriminated their entire life for being  different”
“Have you met someone like that to judge so confidently?”
“No, but I look in the mirror everyday”
You looked at him in disbelief, you didn’t dare to say a word. Whatever he was trying to do, was successfully making you feel uncomfortable. Is he trying to torture you before taking your last breath away? But you already gave up, there’s no way you can escape this place, tied hands and legs, him sitting right across you., and probably no one would look for you.
“If you’re gonna kill me then do it already, and spare me from talking about the past”
“Woah, so you give up already? Who pushed you to your limits to the point that you greet death as an old friend?” he asked
“No one, just do it. This is what you captured me for.. SO DO IT” you yelled.
“Hm, interesting! I think I know where all of this is coming from..Gojo Satoru? Did your husband add to your trauma?”
“enough” you whispered weakly
“What? It must be hard to live with him; especially that he’s the strongest. Lemme guess! He made you feel weak at any given chance, reminding you again and again that you’re nothing” he said offensively pushing you to your edge.
“St-op”
“That’s what sorcerers do, they claim they protect the normal, oh I’m sorry the monkeys like us, but in reality they use their power to belittle us…and you’ll soon be like them, soon you’ll turn into your real form; a sorcerer with an immaculate power but ugly usage..and this is my chance to spare the world of the normal from your ugliness”
“What are you talking about? I’m no turning into a sorcerer-”
“What?”
“It’s been weeks and nothing happened, that prophecy they talked about was nothing but a big lie”
“But your curse-”
“Fate is my only curse” you said, your eyes blankly staring at him, completely worn out.
*Back at Jujutsu High*
Satoru’s eyes blazed with fury as he walked towards Mei Mei and grabbed her by the arm, his grip tight and violent. He yanked her aside aggressively,
“You! You’re the reason she’s gone” he spat with anger.
Mei Mei’s face etched with annoyance, narrowing her eyes at him,
“Don’t you dare blame me for this! It’s  your fault Gojo not mine” she fought back.
“You did that on purpose didn’t you? Leading me to your room cuz you know Y/n will be there, you’re trying your best to have me, but you can’t and you never will” he spoke through gritted teeth.
“You started this in the first place. You asked for my help to push Y/n away, and when I succeeded in giving you what you wanted, you started blaming me? Is this your way to say thank you?”
“I already told you to stop, I said that I no longer in need of your help that you got paid for, but you kept pushing, you wanted more than pushing Y/n away, you wanted me to be yours, but too bad for you, I don’t want you Mei Mei _ and if something happens to y/n I’ll end you! Do you understand ?” he threatened and turned his back to leave.
“Do you love her?” asked Mei Mei making Gojo stop in his track. “There’s only explanation for this, you fell for her Gojo: you fell for Y/n!”
A moment of silence washed over the place, making a hundred of thoughts flow in Gojo’s head. But he ignored her; he doesn’t have time to think about his feelings, when the one he has feelings for is missing because of him. So he started walking away to join the others and start their mission to find you.
…..
“We’ll split into three groups and cover as much ground as possible” suggested Gojo and all of them nodded in agreement.
“Megumi and Maki come with me” he added
“I’ll take Yuji-kun  and Panda” said Nanami
“Inumaki and Nobara you’ll go with principal Yaga” ordered Satoru
“What about Mei Mei, where is she? Isn’t she coming with us to look for Y/n-sensei?” asked Maki with suspicion, she never liked her anyway.
“I’ll go with you” said Mei Mei as she joined them in the common room, “Let’s find y/n”
Satoru ignored her presence and left the room, the rest of them walked outside. Spreading across Tokyo streets, searching everywhere for a glimpse of you. Ready for any possible encounter with Toji Zenin.
Satoru walked with powerful step, determined to find Toji’s hideout and save you from his deadly grasp.
“We’ll find her..don’t worry Y/n is strong, she can definitely handle it” said Megumi in a comforting tone, after noticing how stressed Satoru was.
“I know… she’s strong” he finally admitted.
Hours stretched on into the night, Gojo and the other sorcerers students and teachers combed through each and every corner of the city.. every alleyway, every secluded spot that Toji could possibly use desperate to find her, but for nothing.
Despite their exhaustive efforts, the outcome remained unchanged; you’re nowhere to be found.
With heavy hearts and weary bodies they got back to Jujutsu High as principal Yaga called off the search.
*2 days later*
“The higher ups called for an urgent meeting” said Principal Yaga
“We’ll join the meeting!” said Yuji
“No it’s only for the teachers”
“NO! we care for Y/n-sensei, and maybe more than all of you! If this is about Y/n-sensei then we’re joining” said Yuji with a sad tone
With a sigh, principal Yaga nodded, guiding all of them to the meeting room.
*At the meeting room*
Tension hung in the air, faces drawn and expressions grim as they waited for one of the higher ups to speak,
“Any clue? Any hint? Any progress?” asked one of them.
All of them shook their heads in defeat, their silence spoke volumes, conveying their helplessness and the frustration of their failure.
“We expected nothing less from Toji Zenin, it’s already crystal clear-” he added coldly, his words cutting through the silence once again.
“We won’t give up! We’ll go back tomorrow and this time we bring her home and bring Toji to his trial again” said Gojo in fraustartion, his words dripping with venom.
“You’ve been looking for two days but for vain, there’s no point in wasting any more time and effort, once she’s captured by Toji we knew she’s already gone, she’s already dead” said one of the higher ups.
“SHE’S NOT DEAD” yelled Satoru slamming his fist on the wooden table,
all heads turned at his direction at his sudden rage.
“I know it’s hard to swallow, but it’s your fault for letting her wander outside without keeping an eye on her, it’s your fa-”
“YOU THINK IM NOT AWARE OF IT? YES YOU’RE RIGHT IT’S MY FUCKING FAULT FOR LETTING HER GO, IT’S MY FAULT FOR PUSHING HER AWAY FROM ME, IT’S MY DAMN FAULT MY HURTING HER SO MUCH TO THE POINT THAT SHE FAVORED FACING DANGER OUTSIDE THEN STAYING BESIDE ME…stop blaming me because I know, I messed up, I fucked up and I admit it…but you can’t ask me to give up on my wife-” said Gojo his voice cracking.
Without further words, he left the room. Nanami followed him trying to help him,
“Gojo stop…hey stop” said Nanami “Where are you going?”
“To find her”
“Gojo you know you won’t find her…” said Nanami apologetically
“You once told me to treat her as a real wife, so here I am doing , let me for once care for her like a real wife”
“Gojo don’t do this to yourself, I know you still have hope, we all do but the higher ups won’t allow it”
“Well fuck them the higher ups..I won’t rest till I bring my wife home”
“Alright I’ll come with you”
*At Toji Zenin’s hideout*
“Wakey wakey…” said Toji splashing cold water on your head
You gasped for air, completely startled, completely drenched
“W-what the hell!!” you exclaimed
“Someone wants to meet you”
Confusion clouded your thoughts as you glanced towards the door in anticipation. Who could possibly come to meet you? Is there someone else in the dirty game that Toji is playing?
Your heart skipped a beat as the door creaked open, revealing a familiar silhouette that slowly emerged from the shadow to the light.
“M-Mei Mei?” you said in shock
Your mind raced trying to make sense of the whole situation, your eyes didn’t leave hers as she looked down at you. But the smirk on Mei Mei’s face offered no answer,
“I hope you had fun these two days here with Toji”
“W-what?” your voice almost inaudible.
“Did you think I’d let you win huh? Poor Y/n!”
“You!- you did all of this? What’s your problem with me huh?” you asked your voice trembling with anger.
“The thing is, you are the problem Y/n! I won’t let you have Gojo, I won’t let you turn into a sorcerer and become the strongest..I won’t let that prophecy come true”
“You’re insane!” you shook your head in disbelief
“Well call it whatever you like, but I won’t let you steal my dreams away”
“So you think that stealing my life away is the right thing to do?”
“YES YES” she leaned forward “I can’t bear to see Gojo look at you with much love in his eyes, I can’t bear to see him giving his heart to you-”
“What are you blabbering about? You know well what kind of relationship I have with Gojo, I already know that both of you have an affair”
Suddenly she started laughing hysterically,
“That’s what I wanted but that dick didn’t want me and never did, since you’re going to die so yeah lemme tell you truth, I got paid to do what I’ve done, he never touched me…it was all lie, all of them, I made that up to push you out of the frame, he wanted that at first but then he started to push ME out of the frame, maybe he’s got a liking into you, a liking that I didn’t like, when I noticed the way his heart started to beat for you, when a spark was born I had to intervene, I couldn’t help but release Toji out of prison, pay him a big amount of money  to abduct you and kill you”
“I’ve never thought you’ll get to this level of low” you spat
“Now you’re out of the frame, I succeeded, you’ll die.. Toji will kill you and I’ll work on making Gojo forget about you, I’ll comfort him when he mourns your death, I’ll be the shoulder he cries on and that’s how I’ll win his heart…to the higher ups you’re already considered dead and shortly you’ll truly be” she said happily, playing with her hair
Disbelief washed over you like a tidal wave, leaving you disoriented. You struggled to voice your thoughts, lost in the overwhelming emotions so you started screaming at her,
“I’LL KILL YOU MEI MEI, I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU”
You struggled to break free from the ties that restricted your movement to a minimum, completely going crazy, you hair falling on your face. With each tug and desperate lurch you felt your anger growing more and more, your heart hammering against your chest, redoubling your efforts, till you crashed on the ground, the chair toppled over with a resounding thud, hitting your head on the hard concrete. You laid there, disoriented and dazed, pain pulsed through your skull, world spinning around you. If you managed to break free you’ll make Mei Mei vanish from existence.
You saw in slow mo how Mei Mei was walking towards the door leaving the room, Toji crouched down, brushing strands of hair off your face, placing it behind your ear,
“It’s okay, it won’t be painful…but before I kill you, I’ll do terrible thing to you that will make you beg me to kill you”
You were too weak to answer him, you can feel yourself fading into the background, into the nothingness…losing touch  with what’s real. As you closed your eyes, seeking solace in the silence. His face emerged, Gojo’s features etched in your mind with crystalline clarity. Amidst the chaos, the threat, you were somehow happy and relieved that he did not cheat on you, that hadn’t touched Mei Mei  and that all what she said before was a lie to offend you that’s all. A smile tugged at the corners of your lips, with each passing moment, your thoughts dived deeper and deeper in the memories shared between both of you, the closeness of your faces when both of you bickered, the way he was sleeping  next you but disturbed by his night terrors, you wished that you be there for him, comfort him and put him back to sleep in your arms, maybe you’ll be his dream and replace that ugly nightmare that haunts him every night. Maybe you can try again and be a real husband and wife.
You realized in that moment that you needed him, that you have already fell for him but that feeling needed something to be noticed, and this something is being far away from him. But is there a way back? A tear run on your cheek, a weak smile drawn on your tired face, fate is indeed your curse.
“It’s too late…I’m already gone”
With that you closed your eyes, drifting to sleep, your dream filled with visions of Gojo is your only companion.
….
“Are you sure about this Maki?” asked Nobara
“I don’t know, but she’s been acting really suspicious, maybe we can find something?”
“You sure we won’t get caught?”
“No…but I’ll do it, if you’re not sure about this you can go I’ll handle it alone!”
“No I’ll be here, I’ll guard the place”
Both of them walked through the dark corridor like ghosts, gently turning the door knob, sneaking into Mei Mei’s room.

UNHOLY MATRIMONY — 05
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✩°。 ⋆ sinner's punishment
- fushiguro megumi x oc/reader - oc/reader's character name is hara sena, pronouns still refer to “you” and i won’t mention it often—just for the sake of aesthetic rather than repeatedly writing "y/n"
in another life, in which fate is still screwing his life over, Fushiguro Megumi finds himself in an arranged marriage―with you.
genre/warnings: arranged marriage au, heavy angst, minor character death, description of panic attack, mentions of blood, hurt/comfort
notes: if i may be so bold, this is my favorite chapter so far. but please pay attention to the warnings and read with discretion

✩°。 ⋆ unholy matrimony (masterlist) | chapter four : going downhill <- previous ✩ next -> chapter six : a longer dream
Tumblr media
In hindsight, the first person you could’ve called shouldn't be your husband. You could’ve called the police, or informed the jujutsu headquarters that traces of a curse user were found in your mother’s humble cottage.
But you were on the verge of having a panic attack, and the first person you could hold onto was Megumi. He promised to come to you as soon as he finished his mission. And for the next agonizing four days, he was there with you.
And on the fifth day, when Itadori Yuji, who was in charge of this investigation, came to your doorstep to deliver the grim news, you felt yourself shaking, overwhelmed with the beginnings of hysteria.
"N-no..." Your breathing was getting harder and out of control. "T-there must be... a m-mistake..."
"I'm sorry, Sena-san," Yuji drooped his head apologetically and gritted his teeth, seemingly pained that he must be the one to tell you this. "We found the corpse at the west area of the river bank. And we've identified her as your mother."
It started with choked sobs, and then an almost inhuman scream erupted from your throat and you started weeping so intensely that you nearly crumpled, saved only by Megumi's strong grip that kept you from collapsing entirely.
You grabbed a hold of his shirt so tightly that your knuckles turned pale, almost ripping it, looking at him through your torrents of tears. "I-it's not true... r-right? I-it's just a nightmare! Please w-wake me u-up..."
"Sena." Megumi's deep voice resonated, reflecting his own struggle in processing this devastating news. He looked at Yuji, who was close to tears himself, and then at you, before pulling you into his arms tightly.
"N-no!" you wailed, thrashing against his hold. "Megumi! No! My mom―my mother! S-she can't b-be―"
Your mother, who used to brush your hair and pat your back to get you to sleep when you were little. Your mother, who stood against your father because he would marry you off to some bastard who could make your life hell and got shut away. And your mother―who cried in relief on your wedding day, realizing that you would be in good hands with Megumi.
The reality of her death suddenly hit your conscience, sinking in with profound gravity. You began to wheeze, your screams and sobs merging into a cacophony of anguish. You nearly passed out in Megumi's arms as your ability to stand forsaking you entirely, but he still refused to let you go. He continued to hold you, pressing you tightly against his chest, even as you sank to the floor and pounded his chest in agonizing despair.
"Cry it out," he whispered. "Don't hold back. Just cry. It’s alright."
How did it come to this? Who in the world would murder your kind, loving mother? Why did it have to be her? What had she done so wrong that she deserved this?
Or was this karma? A divine punishment? For trapping the unaware Megumi into this marriage?
You couldn't think straight, the sheer pain of it all numbed your very being and you wanted to die too along with her. Even when you knew you were using him, you couldn't help but hang on Megumi's strong grip as you cried your heart out.
Tumblr media
The first days after the news broke were excruciating for Megumi as well.
He felt his chest ache whenever he saw you sobbing and crying in pain nonstop. It was a new form of torment, seeing you like that. He wanted to somehow alleviate your pain, albeit a bit. Or do anything to help you at all.
The preparations for the funeral mostly fell to him as you barely functioned. You were even more inconsolable after you saw the sight of blood on the white blanket that covered your mother in the autopsy room―you insisted on seeing her one last time, but you completely broke down afterwards and didn't dare to lift that piece of blanket. You feared the sight to remain in your nightmares.
And Megumi understood that. If he were in your position, it would destroy him too. Even though he had forgotten how his mother was like, he figured that should he lose Tsumiki this way, he could very well go feral altogether.
There weren't many that attended the funeral, and by the last day, your crying had subsided, replaced by this eerie silence and blank stare. You were dressed in all black and barely said a thing or two to the mourners. The only time your eyes glinted with something other than voidness was when your father had the audacity to come and pay his respect before the altar.
Cold fury. Megumi never saw you like that. You surged with so much hatred that when your father asked if you were okay you just turned your head away and refused to give him an answer.
"Please... look after my daughter," your father, the Hara clan head, said to Megumi outside the funeral house as the last of the mourners of the final day. He had looked so concerned and Megumi didn't have the heart to turn him away. He just nodded and bid his farewell curtly.
He would. Of course he would. What sort of husband would he be if he didn't?
When he got back, he found you staring at the altar in total stillness.
"My mother..." You croaked out, strained and barely audible. It was the first time he heard you saying something today other than many hollow “thank you” you muttered to each attendee. "She said... she'd rather take her own life rather than seeing me be married to Naoya."
Megumi's jaw tightened. Your voice radiated so much pain that it made his chest constrict and his desire to embrace you intensify. He approached you cautiously, aware of the anguish you were going through.
He turned to face you. "She was a great woman."
"She―was," you were quick to force the word out. You still looked so utterly heartbroken, but it seemed like you no longer had tears to spare. "I'm... going to find whoever did this," you muttered next, voice lacing with steel. "I won't let them free. I can't―this is the least I could do for her."
He nodded. Of course, he would extend his help too. All evidence pointed to this being the work of a curse user, which meant it wouldn't be long before you could find them.
It was easier said than done. Coming to terms didn't mean you would be able to go back to the way things were. A part of you was permanently shredded, and it would never be the same anymore. Megumi realized it firsthand when one night, a little over a week after the funeral, he heard quiet whimpers from your bedroom.
Truthfully, he also felt a sense of emptiness as well. Even though he didn’t know his mother-in-law that well, he remembered seeing her soft smile for him during the wedding, and of course the fact that she had sent many boxes of oranges just for you. He knew for a fact that she loved and cherished you so much.
And so, he tapped lightly on your door. Because the urge just got too much, and seeing you in grief made something in him want to rush to your side just to make sure that you were okay.
“Can I come in?”
Meanwhile inside, you had dampened your pillows with tears due to the dream of your happy childhood that just woke you up. Megumi's voice startled you as you tried to compose yourself.
You had noticed it. He had become even more considerate for you as of late, perhaps driven by sheer pity or sympathy. You didn’t care which—the fact that he did at all warmed your heart in a way you wouldn’t find the correct word to describe with, and you were grateful for his unflappable presence.
You wiped away your tears, and replied. “Yes.”
Megumi entered your room then, in his black sweater and visibly weary eyes. Despite his exhaustion, his concern for you was evident as his gaze met yours. “Are you alright?”
“…I’m fine. Sorry if I woke you.”
“No, I was getting the water,” he explained. “Do you have trouble sleeping?”
“Oh no... Not really.”
He hummed. “Want some company?”
You blinked. You would have never expected that Megumi would willingly offer you his presence just because he heard you sniffle to yourself at the dead of the night.
It was tempting—to continuously take advantage of his kindness. You knew it wasn’t right. You swore you knew.
But tonight…
Fushiguro Megumi is still your husband. By name and law it might be, but he did all his husbandly duties perfectly regardless. He was there to defend you, and hold you when you lost the only thing that mattered in your life.
And so as any wife would, you took up the offer of being in his presence. “Yeah.”
Megumi closed the door to your bedroom and studied you intently, his dark eyes narrowing. "Have you eaten tonight? I'm sorry I missed dinner. My mission ran late."
You found comfort in that simple question. "I didn't have the appetite. Anyway, it's okay."
His brow furrowed at your answer. "You can't go without eating anything. You'll get hungry and miserable."
To your surprise, Megumi left your room and then returned promptly, holding a box of cheesecake from a popular bakery in his hand.
"When did you get that?"
"On the way after finishing my job," he replied curtly, offering the treat. "Here. Eat now."
You were slightly taken aback as the pretty cheesecake was now in your hands. "It's midnight. I'm going to build up calories," you whined but clamped your mouth shut when he threw you a withering look. With a sigh, you pierced the fork through the fluffy cake and took a bite.
It was tasty, and you shyly indulged in another bite as Megumi smirked, as if silently conveying an "I told you so."
"No longer feeling as miserable, are we?" he asked with a hint of laughter.
You just hummed in response, avoiding eye contact. He chuckled. "Good then. I'm glad you like it."
It occurred to you that Megumi actually didn't like sweet things. He always took his coffee black, and he rarely ate the pastries you'd bring back. So he must have bought this with you in mind.
A warm feeling enveloped you, realizing that someone still cared about you enough to consider your feelings and bring you comfort.
"Thank you, Megumi," you mumbled, looking down at the half-eaten cake. The loss of your mother still stung you and in the darkest corner of your heart, you barely managed to find the will to continue living. But Megumi's presence made it better, a hundred times over. And most of all, you feel safe with him.
"Don't mention it." He breathed a sigh of relief.
It wouldn’t have been easy, and he knew it was going to take time. Healing was a process, and he was willing to be there every step of the way.
“Your eyes are red,” he pointed out. “Do you want me to get you a cool compress?”
You responded while still chewing the cheesecake. “Mmm, no. That’s okay.”
“Don’t be stubborn. Last time you didn’t listen to me, you almost tripped if I didn’t catch you.”
“That’s purely by accident! And hey, did you remember when we—”
That night, you and Megumi sat together on your bed, reminiscing about various things before eventually basking in comfortable silence. You didn't know when you started getting sleepy, but you did and the next thing you knew, in the morning, the first sight that greeted you was Megumi's sleeping face.
He was here the entire night. And you realized that with him here, you were no longer overcome with the urge to weep as much.
What is this feeling? Why couldn't you take your eyes off him?
Megumi is fairly attractive. He looked grumpy and unfriendly by default, but even then he was still handsome. And now that he was defenseless like this, he looked soft. It was the sight only you, his wife, got to see. No one else could come close to see him like this as you did.
Because you are his wife, and he is your husband.
In this very marriage that you instigated.
Your chest twinged as a wave of guilt washed over you. How could you forget that? You were a sinner. All of this pain and suffering—you had brought it upon yourself, and your mother had paid the price.
A fresh wave of tears welled up in your eyes. Your sweet mother. She was the reason of this whole sham marriage. Now that the reason no longer existed, there was truly no need for either you or Megumi to continue on this path.
It felt even worse because you were falling for your husband. You might have deceived yourself until now, but this was an undeniable moment of truth. You weren't exactly sure when it had started, but you had willingly let Megumi capture your heart and have it. He was blunt but reliable and treated you well. Truth be told, you were genuinely enjoying this new life too.
But this has to stop. You couldn't fool over him forever. For his sake, you had to let him go.
Today was Sunday, so neither of you had to work. You had gone to the kitchen to ponder how you should bring the topic up when he stumbled in, still looking half-asleep.
"Ah, I fell asleep in your room," he remarked, yawning. The sight tugged your heartstrings because he looked so unguarded. You wanted to smother him, hug him, kiss him even―
No. This fantasy ends here.
"Megumi," you began, your tone carrying an edge that instantly put him on alert. "We need to talk."
He visibly frowned. "Yes?"
And nothing would've prepared him for the words coming out of you next.
"I think we should get a divorce."

Gojo x reader Genre: Angst to fluff Words: 4.8k Synopsis: Gojo survives the battle in Shinjuku Masterlist
Tumblr media
Everything felt like a sick, twisted nightmare. It all started back in 2006, when Gojo and Geto were tasked with escorting the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen. Although the duo tried their best, Riko Amanai met her end, which really affected Gojo.
To make matters worse, your and Gojo's very close friend, Geto, ultimately decided to choose a different path which definitely did not earn the approval of any sorcerer. Well, his ideals weren't the most practical or ethical, but nothing can really be done once he's fixed his mind.
Seasons dont wait for anyone, and just like that, a good number of years passed. You, Gojo and the others you studied with were now teachers at Jujutsu high. A new student by the name of Yuta entered jujutsu high and was welcomed with open arms. Well, not by the higher ups but no one cares about them. You pitied Yuta, for he was haunted by the girl from his past all because of a curse he bestowed upon her unintentionally.
The boy managed to fit in but the news of both him and Rika reached the ears of Geto, who took this as an opportunity to try exterminate all non sorcerers. The night parade of a hundred demons sure was eventful, but it also marked the end of Suguru Geto, the sorcerer.
To finish off his very own best friend with his very own hands was definitely a great ordeal for Gojo, but you were there for him throughout his mourning period. You shared his grief and helped him recover, atleast for the young talents that were now the responsibility of the teachers.
A year passed, and the boy you saw growing up was now old enough to be enrolled in Jujutsu high. You were proud of how Megumi was doing, since you witnessed his growth right from when Gojo brought him in.
History repeated itself when another teenager was put up for execution by the higher ups, but this was for a different cause. It was baffling, as Yuji Itadori was now a vessel of the great Ryomen Sukuna, due to the turn of events.
Megumi took up the task of narrating the events of that night to you. Although it was hard to process the wave of information, one thing was clear. Yuji does not deserve to get executed and this feeling was mutual to you as well as Gojo. You trusted Gojo well enough and knew he wont let it happen.
Months flew by and it was the 31st of October. Many sorcerers were called to Shibuya. A large curtain was cast, and civilians were trapped inside. It was later made clear that it was orchestrated by Pseudo geto, or Kenjaku and this was a plan to seal Satoru Gojo.
It was painful, to say the least. Your lover was now sealed and put out of commission. And seeing your friend's body get used like this was even more disappointing.
Everything now lay in the hands of the active sorcerers, and that itself was a huge burden to bear. Each and every sorcerer went beyond their limits, and that's when Geto's morally gray ideals ran through your head like a broken record. Forcing yourself to shake off the thoughts, you moved on.
The dreadful night came to an end and the aftermath was something no one ever expected. Your comrades were either dead or fatally wounded, the prison realm was in the hands of kenjaku and Sukuna ransacked the entire area within a short period of time.
To make matters worse, Yuji's sentence was now back.
After recovering from your injuries, everything sunk in. Nanami, your closest friend, was gone. Your students went through hell too. Gojo was sealed. And Yaga, was killed by Gakuganji. You werent particularly fond of the old geezer and this only added to how irritating his whole existence was. As fuel to fire, you heard through someone that Yaga was ordered to be executed by the higher ups, which just increased the level of hatred you had for them. Masamichi Yaga, the only proper and trusted adult figure you had in your life, was now gone.
After a list of events, it was obvious that Kenjaku was unstoppable. He went on with his next act of terrorism: The culling games.
The culling games were just as bad as what you faced on the 31st of October. Multiple sorcerers went against each other with only murder in mind, so you had to prepare yourself mentally. You believed in your students' abilities to make it out alive, but who knows what kind of people they'd have to fight.
Most of your comrades were a part of the games, from students to co-workers and the other allies made in the way. It felt like the heavens were against you being peaceful. There was no going back now.
You ended up running into allies, and when talks of the prison realm and unsealing of Gojo Satoru came up, you learnt that the only two items that were capable of nullifying the realm were the Inverted Spear of Heaven and the Black rope. All you could do was facepalm when you realised that the spear of heaven was in a location known only to Satoru, and the rope was burnt away when Miguel fought against Satoru. There wasnt any left. Sweet.
It was hard to deal with the absence of Satoru. Not only was he a significant other, but also a trustable partner and ally when your job was concerned. The one thing that kept you going was the fact that he was still alive, and could be unsealed one day.
And thus, you set out to find other possible ways to unseal him. After battling against a good number of curse users, you met Yuji, Megumi and Hana. You asked them about how they were doing, especially Yuji. Then, you found out that Hana could possibly be the key to unseal Gojo.
A twisted turn of events occurred, and Megumi was now Sukuna's vessel. Who wouldve guessed that the latter had set his eyes on the former. Yuji was no longer the vessel of the king of curses. Tsumiki was a vessel for some curse called Yorozu. Tsumiki was someone who you cared deeply for. She was an extremely caring person who wasnt even capable of causing harm to anyone. To think she was the one to become a vessel was painful, to say the least.
Sukuna battled out against Yorozu, and as an end to it, the latter lost and was killed, thus putting an end to Tsumiki Fushiguro. You wouldnt blame megumi for falling deeper into an abyss of darkness, as his own hands were now stained with his sister's blood.
A player has added a rule to the culling game. Rule 13: As of this moment- 9:09 PM. on November 19, 2018- No new players may join the culling game.
A player has added a rule to the culling game. Rule 14: The game ends when all players except Suguru Geto and Fushiguro Megumi have died.
Kogane's voice rang when you were with your allies. "To win, we just need to defeat Kenjaku and Sukuna" Maki said to you and Ui Ui. The young boy retorted stating that it was no easy task. Ofcourse it wasnt, but Satoru Gojo would make his return soon.
Everyone regrouped at the room and Yuji entered. You had a good number of formidable allies which gave hope for the next mission to be a success. Choso handed over a book to Yuji. And everyone in the place were now awaiting the return of the strongest sorcerer.
After a long discussion as to why it wasnt a good idea to unseal Gojo inside the building, the location was moved to a different place. The allies took refuge behind the rocks that lay. Your heart pounded with anticipation and hope. Angel used the jacobs ladder to unseal Gojo but he was nowhere to be seen.
Hours later, you were informed that Gojo was inside Shoko's lab with Ijichi and Ino. You were beyond elated to see the love of your life after 19 grueling days that were anything but uneventful but a hint of nervousness lingered for some reason. With shaky arms, you reached out to the handle. Taking a sharp breath, you opened the door and your breath stopped.
There he sat on the bed. For a moment, you felt like all the weariness from the past one month vanished into thin air after taking one look at the man. He seemed better than you thought, with extra muscles and all that. You pinched yourself slightly to confirm that this was all real, and thats when you teared up a little.
Shoko noticed your presence and signalled the others to exit the room. What a thoughtful soul. Satoru was now looking at you as well, smiling widely like the dork he is and waved at you to come nearby. Taking short steps, you walked and took a seat next to him silently.
"You couldve taken a picture when you stood at the door, it would last longer" he teased while taking your hand. You had prepared yourself beforehand to not cry, considering the fact that he wouldve been overwhelmed with all the news from the time he was gone. The task however seemed impossible as you broke down right there.
Satoru was shocked for a moment but then quickly regained his composure as he pulled you into his lap. Hugging him tightly, you cried, as if he'd disappear if you let him go. He was at a loss for words too, which was very unlike him, but hugged back and peppered soft kisses.
Breathing hard, you pulled away and wiped your face. Looking into his eyes, you took his face in your hands and kissed him softly, hoping to pour in all your feelings through the kiss. He was quick to reciprocate with equal love and even smiled while kissing. You realised how much you had missed him.
Pausing to catch your breath, you leaned your forehead on his, and the silent acts of intimacy conveyed all the unspoken words. You hugged him again. "I met Sukuna and the bastard in Geto's body" he started. Not liking where this was going, you hesitantly nodded. He took that as a sign to continue "We'll fight on the 24th of December".
You knew the date very well. This was inevitable from the start, so you decided to put all your belief on your boyfriend. A relationship is all about trust..right?
The fact that he didnt say anything about Megumi puzzled you, but it was better to not ask. "Promise that you'll come back to me safely" you said. He gasped, as if he was offended by the mere thought of you questioning his strength. "Are you serious?" he asked incredulously. "Its not that i dont trust you, Satoru. Its just that its Sukuna you're going up against." you paused before continuing "He has his own techniques and ten shadows." He was still visibly offended and turned his head to the side.
Sighing, you smiled and asked again. "Promise?" "No." he snapped jokingly. Slapping his shoulder lightly, you shook your head at how childish he was. "Fine, I promise" This moment made you forget everything that happened and you breathed in his scent, wanting this to last forever.
Atleast you had one whole month left, until worry would consume you completely.
As expected, the much dreaded day arrived and you waited for Satoru along with your students and allies. Yuji turned to look at someone and there he was, in all glory, accompanied by Utahime and Gakuganji.
The audacity of this old geezer to show up you thought. Hopefully he makes himself useful somehow. Just the sight of him made you want to charge and obliterate him right there, but you held back as his help might be needed. The hatred would never subside though.
"Sensei, your cursed technique's in the way"
Satoru smiled and pointed at his back, and Yuji took the chance to slap his back as a good luck. And just like that, Gojo left to the battlefield. Ijichi created a barrier and Utahime started dancing. Within a short while, the much anticipated battle started.
You stayed back with the allies, in order to observe every detail of the battle that unfolded, ready to jump into action whenever necessary. Anything could be the outcome of this battle and everyone was prepared for that. Anyone will have to jump in, with no concern for their fate and give their all.
The ongoing battle never seemed to stop even for a moment, with both sides using their techniques and domains. The result was hard to predict. Everyone keenly observed the intense fight between the duo.
The thought of what kenjaku might be up to lurked in the back of your head, but there was a well devised plan made, so you turned a blind eye towards the thoughts and went back into observation mode.
A strong and terrible gut feeling made you nauseous. Albeit putting your trust in Satoru, you couldnt ignore the bad vibe. As if your suspicion was being proven, something unexpected happened. Something that left horrified expressions in every face.
All you saw was Sukuna with Mahoraga, unleashing his next attack. Everything froze as you stared in utter disbelief. Satoru's body was cut into two parts, and his upper half fell to the ground. He laid in a pool of blood and you felt nauseous.
It was so quick, that you couldnt process it properly. Yuji stood up in shock, and Yuta reached out to unsheath his katana but Maki stopped him. Everyone else were frozen in shock and Miwa walked up to you and hugged you silently.
You couldnt even cry, as it all felt absolutely unreal. A million thoughts ran through your head. It felt like a sick joke. To get him in your life, to almost losing him to Toji, then getting him back, then the whole shibuya incident. Did the forces above hate you so bad?
Why make you meet the so called love of your life just to take him away? For fucks sake, he was all you had. The only family you had. The students were like family as well, but nothing measured up to Satoru. He was your everything: your love, your reason. When you felt like the world was against you, he stayed by your side. When you reached a standstill, he helped you. When you couldnt trust at the initial stages, he kept giving you reasons to trust him and fall hard.
Every single memory you had with Satoru played in your mind like a movie. Swallowing a thick lump, you reached out to pat Miwa weakly.
When you came back to your senses, you realized that time only froze for you. Kashimo was already rushing towards Sukuna. Breathing in and out, you noticed Yuta walk up to you. "Sensei, we need a plan to retrieve Gojo sensei's body" he said. Well, he had a point. But your brain already had too much going on.
Ieiri stood next to you and said "Get it together y/n. I know its hard, but we've got priorities. If you manage to retrieve his body somehow, I'll try my best. I wont let the only people from my life slip away again" "I'll help as well sensei" Yuta chimed in.
Inhaling sharply, you nodded. You didnt bother about what could possbily happen to you. With only one goal in mind, you sneaked into the battlefield with Yuta. By then, Hakari was out of the allies den and by the looks of it, he was going to fight Uraume.
Sparing no glances towards Sukuna and Kashimo, you and Yuta retrieved Gojo's body and narrowly missed a huge iceberg that now fell in the place where your boyfriend laid. With wide eyes, you looked at Yuta, who signalled that both of you had to leave. The nauseous feeling came back as you felt the crimson liquid seep through your clothes. Regardless, you thanked yourself mentally for acting quickly and not wallowing in your sorrows. There wouldnt have been a chance to retrieve your lover's body then.
For whatever reason, you looked back and what you saw made you feel a little terrified. Sukuna now was in a much different form; his face looked different, he had another extra pair of arms and he had a mouth in his stomach. The king of curses looked absolutely menancing. He also yielded cursed objects in his hand.
You then entrusted Satoru's body to Shoko and Yuta, and went back to watching the battle. You trusted their abilities, and your presence might be a distraction to them. Besides, your help might be needed in the battle at any time.
Within a matter of seconds, right after you settled in your seat, Ryomen Sukuna had put an end to Kashimo Hajime. By the looks of it, Hajime's one time attack barely had any effect on the king of curses.
Higuruma Hiromi and Yuji Itadori rushed into the battlefield, not wanting to waste any time. Yuji was fueled by pure hatred, as Sukuna was everything but good to him. Not only that, he massacred thousands while in Yuji's body and also took over his best friend's body now. Hiromi was strong as well. He'll have to read out Sukuna's crimes and let the judge do the work. But truth be told, that wont be an easy task.
The battle was intense again, with Yuji landing black flashes and Hiromi using his own techniques. Retrieving Megumi was important, but the question of how hasnt been answered yet. Sukuna doesnt show any signs of fatigue. Heck, he only looks stronger now.
There were no signs of stopping, and for hours allies swapped in and out to face the monster there. You went out to duel against Sukuna a few times as well, and now your body was decorated with injuries. He was extremely strong, even with lesser cursed energy. You felt that he was weakening physically, but to bring him down? Its going to take an indescribable amount of time.
You were capable of using RCT, so you managed to heal yourself and helped heal the injured allies as well. Everyone seemed exhausted, and the only thing that kept them going was the determination. After coming this far, it would be disgraceful to go back now. It wasnt even a choice to begin with. To give up would mean Sukuna happily finishes everyone off, causes terror and rules the world with Kenjaku.
More than that, to you, this was about your friend's and adoptive son's body getting manipulated like this.
A few more hours passed, and with combined efforts from your side, the curse that terrorised the sorcerer and curse user community fell. You were immensely proud of how every single person on your side fought for the same cause with so much determination and coordination. You also had a sense of gratitude towards each and every one of them.
You were worried about the man who was getting healed by Yuta and Shoko, but you were also glad that a main root of problems was a part of history now. The door opened and the duo walked out, visibly tired. They took one look at all of you and it didnt take long to realise that the enemy had been defeated.
Ijichi walked in with a figure in his arms. Everyone turned and now was facing him and realised it was none other than Megumi. The state he was in made you want to cry. Atleast the past didnt repeat itself fully like it did with Geto. The boy you saw growing up now lay helplessly, body full of injuries. You thought of what he wouldve went through and it pained you heavily.
When Ijichi announced that the boy was alive, you turned towards Shoko, unintentionally holding your breath.
She smiled a little and said that hes alive and well. And then, you crashed onto the chair, completely done in, letting exhaustion take over you. You were still bleeding from a few spots as you prioritized healing the others and now your cursed energy levels had been depleted.
----
When you woke up, the first person to greet you in the hospital bed was Kugisaki. Just her existence there made you tear up, as her return after the incidents of Shibuya was a question mark. Reality sunk in and you let the tears flow freely. The goals were achieved. Your first years were safe and sound. Sukuna was gone. Your second years and third years were safe as well. Satoru was okay as well.
Maybe the universe wasnt completely against you. It just presented you with multiple hurdles. You mentally patted yourself on the back for holding on. It does pay off in the end.
Nobara enveloped you in a hug, and cried with you.
"How are you?" you asked her. "Im okay, Im just glad youre awake."
Right at that time, Shoko walked in, pleased that you were finally awake. "You were out cold for two weeks dummy" she said, letting out a puff of smoke.
"Atleast I can breathe easy now" You got up and hugged her. She was caught off guard at first, but then she hugged back and relaxed. She wasnt particularly a big talker, nonetheless you understood what she wanted to convey.
"What about Kenjaku?" you enquired. "Oh that. Yuta finished him off. We have the body safely with us" Nodding, you walked up to the door. "Ill go meet Yuji and Megumi"
Maki, Panda and Toge were on their way when they noticed you walking towards Yuji's room. They called out to you and after chatting for a while, you learnt the details of Yuta and Kenjaku's fight.
Waving goodbye, you continued and knocked on the Yuji's door. You felt the wind getting knocked out of you. Oh its just Yuji himself. "Im glad youre okay, sensei" he spoke enthusiastically. On the corner of your eye, you saw Choso sitting on the chair. Smiling at him, you asked Yuji to put you down and pat your clothes down.
You spoke to him, and figured he was doing well emotionally, physically and mentally. That's good, you thought to yourself.
Then, you went on to meet Megumi. You were definitely worried about him. You smiled to yourself after seeing him sleep peacefully. Apparently he had already awoken a couple of days back, and even visited you thrice.
Not wanting to disturb him, you finally went to Gojo's room. The same feeling of nervousness hit you like it did when you met him for the first time after he was unsealed. You opened the door slowly, and it seemed that your boyfriend was already aware of your presence outside the door.
He smiled at you again, and opened his arms. He looked different for sure. You ran straight into his arms and he lifted you up in the air, hugging you tightly. This was really him. Your Gojo. He was alive and well. Cue the waterworks, you held each other and cried together. This was a very vulnerable moment for both of you. Satoru crying was not something you expected, but after everything, it would only be odd if he didnt cry.
Letting out everything you held in for this long was a nice feeling. Besides, you could breathe now. The love of your life was here, safe in your arms, by your side. There wasnt even an indicator of the events that happened in the past. And then you realized something.
Breaking away from the hug, you reached out to lift his shirt with hesitant hands. There it was. A huge scar decorated his body in the very spot he was cut in.
"Missed me buttercup?" he asked. Ofcourse he was happy to be back too. Tracing his scar softly, you realised he was not a figment of your imagination. "Why wouldnt I be" you cried out and pulled him in for another hug. "I kept my promise, didnt I?" he sniffled. You choked out a thank you. He then kissed you passionately and you were more than happy to return the gesture. "Deja Vu" you whispered out. "I'll always come back to you, no matter what. You should promise me that too yeah?" He whispered out too. Looking straight into his eyes, you said "I promise, no matter what."
"Do you wanna have some kikufuku?" he asked and you could only laugh. Regardless of what happens, your Satoru will always be the same loving, dorky guy you knew from day 1.
---
You felt someone pepper your face with kisses. Slowly opening your eyes, you saw Satoru, and he gave you one last kiss with an audible mwah sound. It was really happening, you thought to yourself. After cuddling for a while, you got up, just to be pulled back into Gojo's chest.
"Cmon baby its late" you said while looking at the clock. it was 12:30 pm. Looks like 2 weeks of sleep was nothing compared to a night of sound sleep with your other half. "Just a little more time pleaseee" Satoru whined out. Cant really say no to that now.
After a while, you both headed out to have breakfast and there you met all the other students. You didnt really want to press him on and ask about how he felt yesterday and ruin the moment. He's always been that confident individual, so you were worried about his mental state, after going through a defeat like that. Satoru isnt the one to talk about his feelings either, so you'll have to pop the question yourself.
After socializing with the students, Satoru pulled you away. But you weren't exactly done speaking to Choso.
"Love, what was that for?" you enquired, clearly not happy about being interrupted. "WOW I've been deprived of my rights to talk to the love of my life. What an unjust world we live in" he spoke out dramatically.
Laughing silently, you asked "where are we going?" "I dont know" he said playfully. Wrapping your arm around his, you went closer and leaned your head on his shoulder. He reached out to stroke your hair.
"Yknow, I met Nanami, Suguru, Yu and Riko" he started. You hummed. "I spoke to them at the airport for a while. Nanami told me to pick between south and north. But now Im glad I chose north" You definitely did not understand a thing, but didnt ask much. "How do you feel?" you asked. "Hmmmm lets see." he dragged out. "Im not very happy about getting defeated by that curse, but I think I'm more humble now" The last sentence made you laugh and he stared in disbelief. "Are you laughing at my agony now" he gasped out. "I'm not. But baby, you and humble dont go in the same sentence" you teased him now. "Oh come on. Im not very pleased to admit I'm not the strongest" he voiced out. "You'll always be the strongest in my eyes Satoru" you admitted. "will I now?" he wiggled his eyebrows and poked your arm.
Laughing at how adorable he is, you continued to take a stroll with him. "He was crazy strong yknow? Im not sure if i could have beaten him even if he didnt have megumi's ten shadows. I felt like he didnt go all out... In a way, I'm happy that someone as strong as him beat me" he commented. "Yeah, he was strong. We had a hellish time against him" you mentioned.
He may have lost against a curse that strong, but none of that matters to you. Satoru Gojo was here, by your side and that is more than enough.
---
A few days later, all the students and the remaining teachers paid their respects to all the souls that fell. Yuji placed flowers near Nanami's grave. Then, everyone placed a flower on principal Yaga's grave. Megumi stood near the grave designated for Toji. You walked up to him. "you okay?" "well i dont really care" he replied. Maybe Toji did care for his son, but never really showed it openly, so this is what he gets. Miwa silently mourned the death of Kokichi Muta. From the corner of your eye, you spotted Gojo and Shoko near a grave stone. You went near them, and figured it was for Geto. Wrapping your arms around both of them from the middle, you silently leaned your head on Satoru's. You were glad that you were able to properly mourn your friend and the others.
While walking back to your rooms, you smiled to yourself. Yuji and Yuta's sentences were now non existent, thanks to the work of someone. The annoying higher ups were exterminated.
Even if you lost loved ones, made multiple sacrifices, almost lost many people dear to you, it all worked out at the end.
You'd do your best to make sure that this peace never gets disrupted. At any cost. Everyone who you valued, were here, by your side.
----
A/N 2: it took me hours to write this and lmao the whole fight after kashimo dying was all just what i imagined. So yeah.

Finding Comfort in Them
Tumblr media
Synopsis: When you're upset you find comfort in your boy :)
I'm pretty sure most of these can be read as a gender natural reader, but some of them might be female reader...🫶🏻
Tumblr media
Gojo Saturo: He was out on a mission, leaving you to go to bed all by yourself. You didn't have a problem with it until you woke up from a nightmare.
Your heart pounds against your chest as you spring up in your bed, sweat gleaming over your face. You pant heavily as the fear consumes every bit of you.
You're trapped, frozen in time. Tears sting at the corner of your eyes, daring to slip out. You inhale shakily and force yourself out of the bed.
Your feet hit the cold floor and a shiver runs up your spine. You open the door and down the hallway a light can been seen. You furrow your eyebrows and head down the hallway.
Gojo's tall figure stands in the kitchen.
"Gojo!" you gasp out, your body filling with relief. You quite literally throw yourself into his arms. Gojo lets out a breath of shock as your body collides with his.
Gojo wraps an arm around your waist and the other arm holds you by the back of your thighs. Your legs wrap around his torso, chin resting on his shoulder.
"What's wrong, baby?" he asks with a soft voice that melts your heart. His hands rub up and down your back, engulfing you in a state of mellowness.
"Just a nightmare," you whisper into his ear. Arms so desperately wrapping around his body and squeezing him. Gojo noses the side of your head, nose disappearing in your hair.
"It's over and I'm here now. I'm here," his words lull out and you nod your head. Gojo's large hands rub your back, putting you back into a peaceful sleep.
Geto Suguru: Geto will fight away all your fears. He'll do anything for you. So, when you walk inside your shared bedroom with tears streaming down your face, his heart shatters.
Geto's blood runs cold as your eyes meet his. Your eyes are bloodshot from all the crying you've been done. He's sitting on the edge of the bed, fists clenched.
"What's wrong, y/n? Please, tell me," he begs of you. You crawl onto the bed and rest your head in his lap. Your knees curl up to your chest and your breath hitches in your throat.
"J-just a bad day," you stutter out, barely able to speak without breaking into a sob. Geto frowns widely and his fingers comb through your hair, tucking it behind your ear.
"Do you want me to hold you?" he asks gently, eyes softening. You glance up into his eyes and bob your head.
"Yes, please."
Geto scoops you up into his arms, setting you in his lap. His fingers wipe away your wet tears and he smiles warmly. Arms wrapping around your body as he falls back onto the bed.
Your head rests on his bicep as the rest of your body presses against his side. Geto's eyes never leave your face, always checking to see if you're okay.
His fingers knead into the flesh of your waist and his free hand cups your jaw, pulling your face to his. Your eyes flutter close as Geto's warm lips wrap around yours.
The solace of Geto is greater than anything that could ever upset you.
Megumi Fushiguro: Megumi's dark blue eyes rake up and down, examining you. Your body is trembling and your eyes are wide, full of fear.
It seems like your feet are glued to the ground and your heart is skipping beats. You had just lost someone very important to you.
"Hey..." Megumi calls out, trying to get you to snap out of whatever trance you're stuck in.
Megumi marches up to you when he doesn't get a response. He carefully reaches out and his hand grabs onto your jaw. You slowly shift your wavering eyes up and gulp.
You step forward, closing the distance between the two of you and you wrap your arms around his lower torso. Megumi lets out a tiny gasp and one of his arms snakes around your upper back.
"Please...don't let go," you beg Megumi and he chuckles, shaking his head.
"You're not getting rid of me," he assures you, bringing up his hand and cupping the back of your head. His fingers shuffle through your hair and you let out a deep breath.
You hide your face in his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. You bask in his cozy comfort.
Yuji Itadori: Tears stain the pillow you're currently hugging for dear life. The door clicks open and your stomach twists into uneasy knots. You glance over at Yuji as he enters the room and his eyes widen.
"Whoa! Y/N, are you okay?" Yuji asks, concern laced in his eyes soft. He rushes over to your side and climbs on the bed, sitting in front of you.
You sniffle and quickly wipe at your wet face. "Yeah," you voice comes out as wobbly. The concern never leaves Yuji's eyes and he inches closer to you.
He grabs onto the pillow and slides it out from your arms. You don't have time to react as Yuji tackles you down on the bed, hovering above you.
You gulp as his warm breath fans your face and your face starts to heat up. You squeeze your eyes shut as Yuji leans closer to your face.
His lips press against your cheek and your eyelids slowly flutter open
"Please don't be upset, y/n. I hate seeing you cry," Yuji pleads with you, climbing off of you and sinking down onto the bed beside you.
You gaze over at him and the corners of your lips tug into a tiny grin.
Yuji wraps his arms around your body and pulls you into his chest. Your legs wrap tangle with his, pleasant waves taking over your feelings.
"Ok. I'll try," you assure Yuji, bringing your hands up to his face, thumbs brushing his skin.
Toji Fushiguro: You enter the living room of your shared apartment. Toji is sitting down on the couch, legs spread wide. Toji turns his head as you walk into the living room, a frown spread across your face.
Toji raises an eyebrow and clears his throat. "Come here," he beckons you with his finger. He immediately knew something was off with you.
You slowly walk over to him and straddle his lap. Your arms snake around his broad shoulders and you bury your head into the crook of his neck.
His arms wrap around your waist, pressing your body against his warm one.
Neither one of you needs to talk, you just need to bask in each other's company.
His warmth cradles you as you let out quiet breaths, letting everything else fade away.
Nanami Kento: The front door clicks open and Nanami perks his head up from the newspaper in his hands, eyes glancing up at you. Your eyes don't meet his as you set your stuff down on the counter.
Nanami cocks an eyebrow, setting his newspaper back and pushing his chair back, standing up. Your stomach is twisted into harsh knots, probbing and poking at your skin.
Throat burning with a deep desire to let out a good cry, but you won't...not in front of Nanami. You're afraid to look at him because you might break.
"Y/N," his voice chimes out and your eyes slowly waver up, meeting his. Unsteady breaths leave your throat as it tightens, even more.
Nanami reaches up and places his hands on your cheek. The way his thumbs brush your skin makes a shaky breath choke out from inside of you.
"I-I'm sorry," you mumble out, voice breaking as a single tear slides down your cheek.
"It's okay. You don't have to tell me," Nanami explains, a slight smile on his face. He leans his head down and presses his soft, warm lips against your forehead.
The feeling of his lips tenderly kissing you makes comfort burst through your veins. You reach your hands up and wrap your fingers around Nanami's wrist.
He brushes his fingers through your hair carefully, gaze locked onto yours. Soon your tears stop spilling out from your eyes as Nanami comforts you.

astro boy - y.itadori
part of the jjk movie marathon event / movie selection … warnings - my shonen trope writing is showing, idk stink monster? word count - 1.2 K / rating - PG
Tumblr media
“This is disgusting!” Nobara huffs, stomping down on the cracked pavement below, “And they couldn’t have given us temporary uniforms or something?!”
Megumi shrugs, but the crinkle in his brows and the downturn of his lips cannot hide his revulsion, “Not like we can just back out now.”
Yuuji and yourself, meanwhile, are crouched over the manhole cover that Ijichi said you’d need to go down. You look at the boy, head tilted, “Are you sure?”
“Yeah!” he jumps up, clapping his hands, “I can get it no problem.”
“If you’re sure…” you slink back, nudging toward Nobara and Megumi as Yuuji kneels back down and slithers his fingers into the cover's holes.
He’s so sure. It might even impress you, how he’s able to so casually throw aside an entire manhole cover. You were the first person to welcome him to Tokyo. It helps that he finds you even prettier than Jennifer Lawrence, and even though he’s never gotten the honor to meet her: he’s certain you’re nicer, too. You just have to be.
“Is your back okay? You lifted with your legs, right?!” you rush over as soon as Yuuji’s tossed the metal disc.
You’re like an angel, after all.
“Yeah, ‘m all good!”
Megumi comes up between the both of you, nodding towards the sewer’s gaping maw. If this were a children’s cartoon, then you imagine toxic chartreuse fumes would be ribboning out in thick streams. You’re worried the stench may cling to your clothes.
“I’ll go down first, then you and Kugisaki, and Itadori - you’ll be last.”
Nobara lays her cheek against your shoulder from behind, “Huh? Trying to be a gentleman, Fushiguro?”
“I just don’t want you idiots making us fill out injury reports,” he grumbles, already waist-deep into the darkness and continuing down.
“Hey!” Nobara snaps, shuffling by you and Yuuji to go down the metal rungs, “Don’t you dare look up!”
Just before he sinks completely into the murky black, you catch Megumi’s aggravated grunt of, “As if I would ever…”
“Well, guess it’s my turn,” you hold Yuuji’s arm for balance as you slot your foot securely over one of the lower rungs, beaming up at him with a quickly chirped, “thanks!” before releasing him.
Yuuji can barely feel the lower half of his face with how hard he’s cheesing, but he certainly feels the thunder in his chest. His eyes follow you down, a breathy, wide-eyed, “yeah, no problem…” to pair with your gratitude.
“God, I can’t see anything…” he hears Nobara as his eyes take their time adjusting to the dark.
“Here, there’s…” the electric buzz and hum of a flickering flashlight, Megumi hits the shuddering bulb before it sparks to life and stays on, “this.”
Yuuji looks out at his group, the faint glow of Megumi’s flashlight glistens along their faces. Then it illuminates the dark, puddled pavement below their feet. Then the murky stew of browns and greens flowing to their collective right. Then straight ahead.
“Ah, shit.”
What Yuuji hears next is a sharp, piercing shrill from Nobara as she and Megumi are snatched by the ankles, and sucked into the gelatinous, translucent, vaguely putrid body of a curse. A gasp follows it, you shuffle back with a hurried look over your shoulder, reaching out for him. Like a nightmare, then, you’re pulled into the revolting, jiggly mass.
“Itadori!” is the last he hears you shriek.
That singe of fear down his spine is still apparent, even though this is far from being his first mission, but the sight of his friends floating, trapped in that goo is more compelling. He switches the weight on his feet, hands balling so tightly his nails snag into the meat of his palms.
“I’ll save you!” he’s referring to the group, but for some odd reason he only looks up at you, “I swear it!”
The blob wiggles with its giggling, a singular eye tearing over Yuuji’s smaller frame. A waft of frozen air curls through the sewer sending shivers racking through the boy’s body.
Above him, the curse’s voice echoes between sewage drips, layered like a scratchy, out-of-pitch choir, “Bring… a… jacket…!”
Another shiver, unrelated to the temperature, racks through him. Yuuji isn’t sure he’ll ever be accustomed to those chittering tones.
Instead, he swallows his fear and dips low, ready to launch himself forward with cursed energy coursing through his fists.
The curse lashes droopy, bubbling tentacles at Yuuji, but they are no match for the sputtering, repeated blows of the boy’s attacks. He strikes decisively and quickly, ferociously battering against the flabby curse until it rolls back: squelching and crying.
Foam leaks from the flattened bottom, bubbles rise to the surface, and the whole curse wriggles once. Then twice.
Its eye widens.
“So… cold…!”
And it pops.
Putrid, green slime bursts over Yuuji. Weighing his clothes down and slicking back sections of his hair. After clearing the fluids from both eyes, Yuuji rushes towards you.
“Are you okay?”
Yuuji uses the dry pads of his thumbs to swipe the slime off of your face, then carefully lifts your crumpled form by your forearms. He lets his hands linger, masquerading the need for your skin on his as concern.
“Hm,” you can still smell the morbid rot of the curse’s body around yours, “Yeah, I think I’m okay…”
His honeyed eyes are glassy, they scrounge over your body to double-check. As if you would miss some gaping flesh wound that he wouldn’t. Finally, he meets your gaze, and the pinched nature of his expression drops, a contented smile taking its place.
“Good,” he speaks softly, so unlike his natural boisterous greed for attention.
“You know,” Megumi calls, “We were in there, too.”
Nobara kicks the back of Yuuji’s knee, sending him into the frosty concrete below, “At least try to hide your favoritism, huh?!”
“It’s like you were only trying to save one of us,” Megumi smacks Yuuji up his head.
“Well then,” you lean down, arms circling Yuuji’s neck as he kneels before you. You press your slimy face against his, “I guess he’s only my hero!”
“Barf!” Nobara gags, already waving both of you off as she plucks her uniform from sticking against her skin, “This better come out, Fushiguro!”
“Why is it my fault?!”
“You were supposed to be our leader!”
The two continue to bicker as you pull Yuuji up from the ground, “Good job being the only one not caught, Itadori.”
He beams at the praise, warmth fluttering through his chest and tickling all down the ladder of his ribs, “It was nothing!” his fingers itch to card through yours, “I just wanted to make sure you three were safe.”
“Of course, we were,” you take the initiative and squeeze his hand in yours, “You were here to save us…” you laugh to yourself, refraining from a brutal cringe at the lingering scent of death from the curse’s remains, “Even though you’re the newest one to this.”
Yuuji wants to say something suave. Something to knock you off your feet and into his arms, but he is interrupted.
“Come on!” Megumi twists a hand into the cherry fabric of Yuuji’s hoodie, yanking the boy along, “We need to make sure the place is empty now.”
“Go easy on him!” you shout, and Yuuji grins at your defense.
Nobara loops an arm through yours, pulling you flush against her side, “I’m so not looking forward to washing this out…”
Eyes still on Yuuji trying (and failing) to scramble onto both feet while Megumi pulls him, you nod slowly with a faint smile gracing your lips, “Yeah, totally…”
“Hey! Pay attention when I speak!”
“Yeah, totally…”

Hello again, if you don't mind can I request jjk x female reader again? The reaction of the characters (itadori gojo and megumi) with the reader becoming sukuna's new vessel instead of megumi - the female being satoru gojo's younger sister (being the 2nd strongest and Megumi and the reader are dating and Itadori is her friend) PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I AM BORING WITH MY REQUESTS
I love drama. Don't worry, you aren't boring me : D. I love these types of requests, and i love that this request is Sukuna taking over a female body (i don't know why, i just feel like he wouldn't care the gender, just the strength/power and maybe the face)
As the dust settled Satoru watched, crouched as his hands grabbed at the fabric of the younger two's shirts. Something was wrong. Grabbing the two, by the scruff of there shirts/hoods, he dragged them up placing them on their feet. A shiver went up his spine. Not one from fear, but one of uncertainty. Something had gone wrong. He could sense it.
"Gojo?"
spoke a voice, that sounded far too honeyed. far to nice, then it should of. As if, it were hiding malice underneath. His eyes widened, as his saw the concerned look, from his younger sister. Standing bare foot, there naked feet placed upon the shattered Ice, as if they were turning to stone. A small cloud, came from there mouth as they exhaled, (e/c) gleaming with supposed concern. The kimono (which they hadn't been wearing previously) seemed, to large for there body. Nor was it the colours of the Gojo clan.
His eyebrows furrowed, That wasn't his sister. There body may of been his sister's, but he KNEW that inside. It wasn't.
The fake look of concern, quickly turned into one of sadistic madness. She placed her hand on her face, licking their lips, as they stared down at Him.
"I can get used to this" Markings appeared across her face, and he realised. Just then. It was Sukuna. The king of curses had taken over his sister. His sister, was dead or going to be dead. Or worse, trapped inside her own mind as she watched this all happen.
He glanced down, as he heard a grown. Itadori, was waking up. Right, he forgot. Megumi and Yuji, were still here.
"Gojo?" Yuji asked, glancing up. Satoru looked serious. Sure it was odd for him to be serious, but what scared Yuji was the expression he wore.
Suddenly a laugh caused, Yuji to look over at the directions. His eyes widening, as he saw the oh so familiar markings on his best friends face. His stomach turned, feeling sick.
"You know. I think i prefer her better over you brat" Sukuna said, stretching "his" arms, the kimono sleeves falling down, revealing the black markings over their arms and wrists.
"They Were strong, wouldn't you agree Megumi" Yuji glanced, having realised Megumi had woken up. Megumi looked horrified, staring as if he was watching a nightmare unfold. Though he may as well, as been.
"cat got your tongue?" The curse taunted, before flicking "his" wrist.
"Now then. Let's test out this new body shall we?"
Satoru tensed up. He could feel the cursed energy suddenly turning. A burning sensation, in the air.
Was it perhaps, due to Sukuna knowing how to utilise (y/n)'s abilities?

ONEIRIC adjective * relating to dreams or dreaming, something dream-like. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ) gift for: @darlingspeach
DREAMS ARE LITTLE windows created by pieces of your mind. pain woven by unconscious parts that build your brain, hurting you without being aware. dark corners become absolute in nightmares, completely dominating your perceptions and trapping you in a web of fear and pain. your heart could even stop, depending on how terrifying the dream is — if it’s too much for your mind, your body won’t be able to handle it.
there is a strongly, linked bond that becomes absolute dependence between these two: body and mind. interconnected by flesh, bones and nerves, an intrinsic strength that could never be broken while the individual is alive and aware. flesh can be cut and bruised, bones can break, nerves can be destroyed. but the body affects the mind and vice versa, so that it is impossible to separate them completely — in normal conditions. the body feels what the brain wants it to feel, psychologically creating feelings in scenarios that may not even be real. it’s as fascinating as it is scary.
it’s not uncommon for MEGUMI to dream about you. likewise, it is normal for dreams to contain people we know, and especially people we love. he may be tormented by endless nightmares, recalling the most difficult moments of his life — or false moments.
he can see it clearly, like distant memories brought to the surface: his friends getting hurt, closing their eyes to an eternal sleep that has nothing sweet about it. and after all these dreams, he wakes up in a cold sweat. his eyes widen to stare at the dark ceiling of his room. trembling hands go to his chest, searching for his own heart, which beats in its erratic rhythm. he always has to take minutes to calm down. breathing is the key. it was not real, he reminds himself. everyone is fine.
but dreams about you are always filled with sweetness and joy, like images coming straight out of a fairy tale. as if these dreams are your “happily ever after”. there is a collection of them, which seem more like reminiscences he has than fruits of his dreamlike imagination. dreams about cliche dates. you and him holding hands walking in the park, or walking on the beach — feeling the waves hitting your ankles and the sand splashing over your feet. dates where you eat ice cream and roll around in the grass, pointing at clouds and arguing because “yes, the cloud on the right looks like a shikigami, i’m telling you.”
he never has nightmares about you. even if the fear of losing you exists, and strongly, it never happens. even if he looks at people like satoru gojo and can’t feel anything but pity. MEGUMI has you. he is not one of the lonely sorcerers, with their short and glorious lives marred by success, and consequently by loneliness. he has love.
a love so strong that your presence, the mere idea of you, makes his subconscious not afraid. whenever any such dream passes through his mind while he sleeps, like the playback of a film reel, he wakes up with a flushed face. his cheeks stained red, because he is so in love that even in his dreams you appear.
at these moments, he turns over in bed, drowsy, and looks for his cell phone on the counter. his reflexes are slow, poorly prepared. his hand misses it once, twice, and eventually takes out his cell phone, searching for the desired number in the messaging app. he texts you — you, his everything. his partner, his love, the wants he wants to marry to.
“I’ve had a dream about you tonight.”

All a bad dream
megumi x reader
im so sad abt megumi rn so imma pretend it's not happening
Tumblr media
screaming
screaming that's all you can hear. Your body is trapped unable to help your boyfriend as he screams in pain. You love Yuji, but they should have killed him the minute he ate that finger. Now your left banging on the barrier that holds you away from your lover.
Your body thrashes in your bed as the moonlight peaks through the blinds. Tears escape your eyes as you're unable to awake up from the nightmare that holds you. Small whispers of '..gumi' left your lips as your conscious brain attempts to wake you up.
Gasping, you were finally able to lift your body out of the dream and into the real world. Tears didn't stop streaming down your face as your heart broke remembering the pain megumi was in. Attempting to suck in air through your whines you turn over to see the red lights of you clock read '2:37'. Slowly you wiped your eyes and got off your bed to place your slippers on.
You know your not allowed to go to the boys dormitory, but you can't be alone right now. As a jujutsu sorcerer you should know this comes with the job, but as a human you can't let yourself accept that. Sliding open your door you cautiously step out, wiping tears along the way, and slowly make your way down the halls getting scared at any small noises.
Once at Megumi's door your body hesitated. This was stupid. It clearly wasn't real, but why can't you stop your heart from beating so fast? You left small knocks on the door before sliding it open. The sight alone of your boyfriend's bed head as he twists under his covers was enough to open the flood gates again.
The young boy's head turned towards the moonlight after he heard the fimilar small wimpers and sniffles. Rubbing his eyes he noticed his girlfriend sobbing at his door clearly worried if she angered her boyfriend. Quickly he got out of bed and ran over to her.
"what happ-"
However, before he could finish his sentence her arms wrapped around his body and loud sobs became muffled in his chest. Slowly, he stepped back, closing the door as they entered the room, and held his girl close.
Megumi wasn't one to know how to comfort people, but this felt right. One hand on her back while the other held her head to his chest. He waited till her sobs quieted down before asking what happened. It was almost three am and she's at his dorm crying in his arms.
"i had a bad dream.." she whispered, slightly muffled by the boy's shirt, but he understood her perfectly.
"do you wanna stay here?" he asked calmly. He pet her head as her hurt eyes look up at his like a puppy. She nodded slowly as he led her to his bed. Slowly he laid her head on his chest as his hand rubbed up and down her back.
"you were hurt-" a quick breath in, " and i couldn't do anything but watch," she continued, shaking her head trying to hold in the tears as she spoke.
"shh, you don't need to tell me right now. I'm here" the ravenette responded, leaving a feather light kiss on her head. Quickly he summoned one of his demon dogs to lay on his chest and leave a big kiss on his saddened girlfriend face. It worked because she let out a soft giggle as she pet it's back.
"thank you gumi," she whispered before falling a sleep. He would have a lot to explain to Gojo tomorrow.

An Imagine About Gojo's Return
It was a starless night.
Yuuji, Megumi, and I sat around the small shrine we built in the garden of the academy. It had been almost nine months since Shibuya...
No! Nine months and six days and twenty hours. I reminded myself.
"His" smile in the frame was still as bright, only our smiles were gone.
Gojo sensei, you were truly the honored one. I muttered under my breath, not daring to look at Yuuji or Megumi. I could hear Yuuji's labored breathing to my left. A silent sob was wrecking his body. Megumi, on the other hand, sat still as a statue. You'd think he was made of stones!
And for me, I wasn't sure what to feel. After HE was gone, I had stopped myself from feeling anything, to be honest. But there were nightmares, and memories, visions of blue so bright that I felt like drowning in them.
Gojo sensei, isn't it funny that you had no idea? For you, I was just another student. You liked to spoil us, and be one of us, and love us limitless. But for me, you were...
The candle light flickered in a gust of wind. I could feel a chill settling in my bones. I softly patted Yuuji's back, whose muted sniffles were the only sound that broke the steely silence of the night.
Wait, hold on! A pair of footsteps were approaching us. Was it Soko sensei?
"Ah, I'm a little disappointed! I wouldn't want that to be the last photo you ever saw of me. I don't look my usual handsome self there, don't you think?"
A voice!
Silvery. Soft. Amused.
Yuuji was the first one to snap out of it.
GOJO SENSEI! He cried out.
He ran like a lightning bolt, jumping into the man's arms.
Sensei, sensei, sensei. Yuuji let out a frantic laughter that mingled with his tears. His outburst finally propelled Megumi into action, and he stood to his wobbly feet.
I didn't turn. This wasn't real, I told myself. Somehow, in the middle of the night, our minds have succumbed to some sort of collective delusion! It must be some sort of cursed spirit playing with our minds.
So I didn't turn! Not until a pair of solid arms wrapped around my shoulders, and someone spoke softly into my ear.
"So you wouldn't even turn! Y/n did you not miss your sensei even a teeny tiny bit?"
His breath was fanning my cheek. His scent was unmistakable. Slowly, painfully, I turned around and found myself in the arms of the same man who used to be my world.
I kept staring into his sapphire orbs, not breathing, not moving, too afraid to break the spell.
My mouth moved, and I heard myself saying "You... You're real?"
"I'm here now," He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, smiling.
I felt a tremble in my core. Like my centre of gravity had shifted, my world was dangerously tilting towards him! I melted into his arms, limbless. Tears were streaming down my cheeks.
Sa...toru san!
I breathed. My first real breath since I saw him being trapped into the prison realm!
Yuuji and Megumi huddled around us. I wasn't feeling cold anymore. I buried my face in the nape of his neck, and if he felt a soft kiss being pressed there, he didn't say anything.
You're back.
My love.

╰➤ SONG SUGGESTION(s): dark horse by katy perry
╰➤ PAIRING(s): jujutsu kaisen x reader
Tumblr media
the red stains on your hands were caused by the loss of your parents, brother, friends, husband, and children—it was the terrifying nightmare that had entrapped you.
even if you destroyed every book of the damned and your past was already behind you given that you were no longer in your original world and had instead found yourself in this world full of curses, the damage was still fresh, so you consented to being sealed in this world to ensure that no monster ever again hurt anyone and to keep your beloved children from another world safe and away from you.
after all, you were far more dangerous than all of the cursed spirits put together, with the monstrosity of a power, grief, remorse, and guilt you possessed. it is why jujutsu sorcerers have dubbed you the queen of curses.
but things changed for the better when itadori yuuji became the vessel of the scarlet witch, the so-called queen of curses.
you were dragged from the deep and dark waters where you had drowned. you've finally awoken from the nightmare you've been trapped in. meeting this young boy, hearing and seeing his pure heart reach out to yours—it was as if you were seeing colors for the first time.
yuuji had given you another chance, and you weren't about to blow it. you weren't going to become the monster you'd painted yourself to be. so, despite possessing him, you remained dormant.
at the very least, you try.
you just can't help yourself at times.
you just haven't had someone in a long time, and the way yuuji resembles your children makes you protective of him.
isn't that what every mother does in the first place? to be protective of their children?
even if it meant killing those curses and occasionally taking control of his body to ensure his wounds nor the danger he was facing doesn’t kill him. you were certainly a little unhinged for that, but you were already dead set on protecting him at all costs. you weren't exaggerating when you said you'd do anything for him.
so here you were, hands trembling as you glared at the cursed spirit known as mahito through the eyes of yuuji.
you've been dormant the entire time, letting yuuji do his own thing and learn from nanami kento, the jujutsu sorcerer introduced to him who reminds you of vision, your late husband, about remnants of cursed energy as they proceeded with the mission assigned to him, with you only appearing to help yuuji when he needs it.
everything was going well. yuuji had already moved on from the cursed spirits that were once human he faced before together with your and nanami’s help. he even made a friend of a young boy of his age named junpei. you couldn’t be more happy, but then, came the fall.
junpei had been manipulated by this awful cursed spirit, both figuratively and literally speaking. that bastard of a curse had transfigured junpei’s soul, just when he and yuuji had made amends with yuuji insisting that he should come to jujutsu tech, and to hell with it too, he hurt yuuji. your precious son.
"junpei! junpei! get a hold of yourself!" screamed yuuji as he struggled against the newly transformed curse he was holding. he couldn’t hurt him. of course not.
you were already slowly slipping from yuuji’s control. you were on the edge. fingers twitching. your red glowing eyes were already dilated, but you had to remain dormant until yuuji himself gave you his word.
'call out to me, yuuji', you thought.
mahito watched in amusement as yuuji raised his chin up, crying to you as a last resort.
"[NAME]-SAN! i'll do anything!" yuuji exclaimed in desperation with tears in his eyes, "you are free to do whatever you want with me! please heal junpei as you have healed me!"
mahito’s eyes widened, an unhinge smile curving his lips as a deep red tiara manifested and framed yuuji’s face, his brown eyes instantly becoming a menacing, glowing red color as red psionics seeped from his hands.
'just this once again', you thought as you took control of yuuji’s body the same you had when you had used dreamwalking in the past.
you put your chaos magic to work. now, mahito’s technique allows him to transfigure any soul he touches, but you, on the other hand, were capable of doing so much more than that. you can manipulate reality with your chaos magic.
if you were capable of removing a man’s mouth from existence and turning a man into string cheese like nothing back during your prime, then this was a mere child’s play. the cursed spirit watched in amusement as the boy he transfigured transformed back into his normal self as he glowed red.
as your chaos magic healed junpei, mahito found himself staring into yuuji’s red glowing eyes—your eyes.
his grin merely grew wider. he could feel it. the weighty pressure of your immense power was comparable to a special grade, but most of all, he could feel your emotions too. mahito wasn’t just feeling your vessel’s rage, but yours too, it was far more greater, and you shared it along with your vessel as he laughed ever so delightly.
you gently placed his unconscious body to sit upright against the wall after healing and restoring junpei's body to normalcy after having his soul transfigured. you whispered in a motherly tone with your cold hand cupping his cheek, "it's going to be alright, you're okay now."
"oh? i was hoping for him to be dead already!" mahito exclaimed, wiping a fake tear, "guess that’s how it goes."
allowing yuuji to take control of his own body, he took aim and punched the curse in the face with a closed fist that was imbued in red psionics, causing mahito to fling back but still stand up.
"that won’t work. so long as i maintain the shape of my—he paused. blood oozed from his nose and dripped down on his chin; mahito’s eyes widened at that instant.
'what’s going on?! he struck the shape of my soul as well?' you found yourself smirking at mahito's priceless reaction.
pesky little curse.
it isn’t just because itadori yuuji is your vessel and that he was aware of the counters of the soul, what you possessed wasn’t even cursed energy in the first place, it was chaos magic.
the next words that spilled from yuuji's lips came from so deep within himself that it nearly made everything he'd ever said a lie, but to be fair, with him housing the soul of the queen of curses or the scarlet witch herself, it would only make sense. your souls were linked together right now; yuuji's rage and your rage combined.
"i will kill you," was what the curse heard from you both, and he laughed at this.
mahito licked his lips in anticipation, "don’t you mean you’ll “exorcize” me,  jujutsu sorcerer?"
you scoffed to yourself as you secretly entered mahito's mind. he was correct about your vessel not caring about his own life, but now you know who is pulling the strings. “geto suguru” had forbidden him from using hostages to force him into an external pact. his next set of thoughts, however, had crossed the line.
'i’ll just transform every single student until he forces a pact with the queen of curses and make her come out.'
yuuji lunged at mahito, imbuing his closed fist with the red psionics of your chaos magic once more and repeatedly threw punches to the point where the floor and walls broke from the immense strength as mahito dodged with him, occasionally transfiguring his own soul.
however, as mahito conjured himself wings, yuuji conjured a ball of red psionics and aimed it at him, then another, and another, oblivious to the fact that the surrounding area was breaking down.
"he keeps changing his soul, [name]-san," said yuuji with a frown, calling out to you once more.
"it’s only natural of him to do so. he knows that our attacks work on him, therefore he’ll transfigure his soul that is built for murder," you responded and warned him, "watch out, yuuji!"
yuuji's eyes widened for a brief moment as his entire body glowed red from your chaos magic, which was immediately activated to get him moving. his body moved subconsciously to avoid the bladed whips that mahito had transfigured from his arm until he eventually synched his own movement with your power's guidance, performing flips and evading of his own.
yuuji conjured another luminous ball of your red psionics and destroyed a portion of the wall, jumping through the hole to flee from the curse while carrying junpei's unconscious body that was being held and protected by a force field generated by your magic and landing safely with your magic cushioning his fall into a proper and safe landing.
you put your red psionics into action and placed junpei's unconscious body to safety, a good distance away from you and mahito, and somewhere where he will be more precisely spotted as your vessel readied into a stance.
mahito transformed his hand into a drill and fired it at yuuji, who easily caught and grabbed it. even if mahito had transfigured spikes to rise from the part of himself that yuuji was holding, your vessel clenched tightly and dragged the curse all the way down towards him, unconcerned about the blood seeping from the wounds in his palms.
yuuji gathered more of your red psionics in his hands and aimed them at the ground, causing a collision that would result in smoke. using the smokescreen, yuuji crept towards mahito and punched him in the gut, using your power to hit harder, but he deflected the blow. Instead of recoiling, mahito transfigured his soul and caused spikes to emerge from his body, puncturing the body of your vessel.
"you can't beat me," mahito exclaimed, pressing a hand against yuuji's torso, "so swap out with the queen of curses already... idle transfiguration..."
however, it didn't take long for mahito's eyes to widen as he heard your voice and sensed the immense power you possessed, "you want me that badly? then come get me yourself, fool."
instead of swapping out and taking control of itadori yuuji's body, you manipulated mahito's soul and dragged him right to where you were—the domain you resided within the depths of your vessel's soul.
mahito's gaze was fixed directly on yours. there you were, sitting crisscrossed, floating ever so elegantly dressed in the scarlet witch's regalia and robes, surrounded by tao mandalas and a stricken ominous pressure of red on an altar that had pentagrams and symbols as broken columns that were remnants from the throne you briefly housed back in your original world in mount wundagore surrounded yuuji's inner soul.
"you know, i'm not like the other curse that is supposed to house this vessel," you said venomously as you stared down at him, "i'm not even a curse, all of you dare call me as the queen of curses. but either way, there will be no second time—i'm not going to let you do any more harm to my child, let alone to that young boy you manipulated and jujutsu sorcerer waiting in the physical world."
mahito watched as you uncrossed your legs and levitated towards him in a quick forward motion, not giving him enough time to react because your hand was already gripping his throat.
nanami kento arrived on the scene, rushing towards junpei's unconscious body. as he did so, he noticed a red tiara forming on yuuji's head, framing his face. as he watched the young boy's movement on its own, his supposedly punctured hand moved to grip mahito's throat, perfectly mirroring what was happening in the astral plane or inside of yuuji. nanami saw the red glow in yuuji's brow irises and knew immediately what it was.
"shit," nanami cursed as mahito proceeded to activate his domain expansion despite being restrained mentally and physically by you.
due to its capacity, the domain expanded long and wide, reaching nanami kento's distance, but it was still useless. your eyes glowed a menacing red as your nails dug into and pierced his skin. your raw strength writhed the curse. his breathing became ragged as he struggled, transfiguring himself to cast spines and tendrils to attack you, but you easily retaliated with your free hand using your red psionics. whatever attack was directed at you or yuuji, your chaos magic easily rendered it useless.
you threw him back, conjured a much larger and stronger ball of red than yuuji's, and sent a hex beam straight at him. mahito immediately transfigured a part of himself to protect himself, but you easily broke through with your power. you blitzed right towards him, almost at the speed of sound, your red psionics blazing wildly from your fingertips.
just as nanami had witnessed the massacre through yuuji enacting your actions in the physical world, mahito's body was cut in half, resulting in an outburst of blood. nanami froze, unsure whether it was a good idea to close in and help yuuji.
whatever power itadori yuuji possessed from serving was clearly not from their world, and it was far more powerful than cursed energy or any technique put together.
before mahito could further transfigure himself and use his domain expansion against him and yuuji, a red mist and strange sokovian whispers filled the air, and you vanished, only to reappear again behind him this time. despite having faced countless of curses, nanami stood there, unable to comprehend what he was seeing that all he could do was grip his bandaged blade.
sharp black claws wrapped around the curse's face like a malevolent vengeful spirit out for blood, and the next thing nanami knew in the physical world, he was no longer staring at itadori yuuji, but a monster, the same monster that resided inside yuuji and had bloody red glowing eyes, pointed teeth, and decaying skin, and ripped the curse's neck open instead of just snapping it.
nanami caught a fleeting glimpse of your monstrosity and corrupted form, the result of being possessed by the darkhold's lies in your previous world years ago, before it faded back to yuuji's actual appearance.
the broken body of the curse collapsed to the ground as it writhed and oozed blood. the red glow in yuuji's eyes, as well as the red tiara that framed his face, flickered and vanished into thin air.
the pink-haired boy blinked profusely, slightly disoriented until it dawned on him. you had taken control over his body. he saw what happened within him when mahito made the cross with his soul, which was now linked to yours, and he mirrored it back in the physical world, as strange as it was.
yuuji's eyes widened as he realized the outcome of his and your rage. his numb fingertips twitched as he gradually regained control. he then looked up at the ex-salaryman before moving his gaze to mahito's body and swallowing hard, "nanamin.."
"itadori!" nanami suddenly cried out.
they both turned around to see mahito's body come to life despite having lost blood. their eyes widened as they saw the curse used his last cursed energy to make himself enormous.
yuuji jumped into action and dashed straight towards mahito. he immediately imbued his fist with your red psionics and charged at him, but mahito popped and vanished at the speed of light, bolting towards the sewers. nanami followed suit, brandishing his wrapped blade, but mahito had already escaped.
nanami took out his phone and dialed his comrade's number to alert his combrade of mahito who had fled, but the moment he turned around to ask yuuji if the two of them should chase after the curse, yuuji's body collapsed to the floor.
"itadori-kun!" nanami exclaimed, his eyes widening as he realized his body had been severely injured.
nanami bolted towards the yuuji, leaving junpei behind only to pause on his tracks when the atmosphere was filled with an oppressive pressure. the feeling was similar to what he and other jujutsu sorcerers would experience in the presence of a vengeful spirit.
nanami's eyes widened as he cautiously backed away, watching yuuji's unconscious body rise from the ground, his previously broken and dislocated limbs popping back into place as the open wounds on his body and palms stitched themselves back—your chaos magic practically running through his veins like a rush of blood.
nanami found himself holding his breath as he stared into yuuji's eyes, which were still a glowing red color with his face framed by your same red intricate tiara. his heart stopped, but he was quite relieved to see no decaying skin or sharp talons.
nanami's brows furrowed in concern as he slowly raised his bandaged sword, knowing full well that the person he was seeing right now was you and not yuuji, "where's itadori?"
"yuuji is still unconscious," you explained calmly, looking at the blonde man who stiffened up when he heard your feminine and siren-like voice instead of the boy's, "he pushed the limits of his own body while using my power and fighting against the curse with numerous wounds."
"but i suppose i took it too seriously when yuuji asked me to save junpei and told me i could do whatever i wanted," you sighed, resting your chin between your pointer and thumb as your gaze drew over junpei's body, "either way, that scum of a curse deserves a painful death. being sealed for so long made me rusty. i'm terribly sorry for that."
with that, you smiled at nanami and closed your eyes, saying, "i can sense that yuuji is about to wake up soon, so i'll leave him and the boy in your care now. again, i apologize for letting the curse escape, and for scaring you."
nanami blinked at your words. who knew someone as evil and monstrous as you could be so sweet? it baffled him. he then watched as the red tiara that framed yuuji's face vanished into thin air, along with the red glow in his eyes.
yuuji let out a sharp gasp of air as he regained consciousness once again after showing mahito his place while being under your control and nearly tripped on his own feet, prompting nanami to support him by the back.
as nanami did so, he couldn't help but think one thing—there really is something within itadori yuuji that must not be touched—and it was you, the scarlet witch, the queen of curses.

[ author's notes ! AAAAA i finally finished it oh my god. tbh, i really had a good time writing because mahito deserved that beating lol and junpei's alive in this au hooray. hope you didn't mind me adding a nanami and scarlet witch! reader interaction too. oh, and i would also like to clarify that ...
scarlet witch! reader knows of ryomen sukuna due to having knowledge of the multiverse 👀
unlike in the canon story, it only took one attempt for mahito to get thrashed by scarlet witch! reader while it took two tries for him to get his ass beaten by sukuna when he dared to touch yuuji's soul.
again, thank you so so much for requesting this dear anon. hope you enjoyed this 3,000+ words of my writing ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡) ]

Family Formations - Wreckage
Tumblr media
A/N: this wasn’t requested by i was listening to i bet on losing dogs and this popped into my head and since I’ve been in such a writing funk i decided it had to happen also it’s sad I’m sorry
CW: angst, mentions of violence, grief, mentions of death, also somehow soft like rly soft
Summary: a very short Drabble - inspired by I Bet On Losing Dogs - Mitski. Megumi and Y/N centric.
My baby, my baby,
You’re my baby, say it to me
This wasn’t your room; this wasn’t your home. This wasn’t your blanket.
No hint of sandalwood cologne tinting the air.
No smell of tea tree shampoo.
No smell of baby powder.
To you everything smells of copper, of iron, of grief, of ash, of smoke, of destruction.
Your lifelines scattered between this life and the next – limbs and eyes and loves just gone like dandelion tufts in a breeze.
You lay on this bed. These sheets. These pillows. You absentmindedly admire the pretty blue colour of them. Whoever lived here had nice taste – he would like these sheets. He likes blue.
He used to say his favourite colour was gold.
You’re gold to me, whispered into your ear.
You sit against the headboard – staring at the wall.
The door creaks open.
The shock of raven spikes are still visible in the darkness of the room. He shuts the door behind him. He doesn’t say anything - doesn’t need to.
Just crawls onto the bed beside you, and lays his head in your lap.
I bet on losing dogs
I know they're losing and I'll pay for my place
By the ring
He seems so small now – he looks like your little boy. Almost a whole foot taller than you at 16 and steadily growing, much broader and stronger. Sometimes, you think it’s funny how much he resembles him. Just, inverted. Dark hair instead of white (his father’s) but the height, the build, the slender hands. You forget he’s not biologically you and his.
His head in your lap, your hand moving to his hair, carding through it like you did for nightmares of boogeymonsters and creatures in the closet what seems like centuries ago. No more nightmares now. Just reality and boogeymonsters and creatures in your best friend.
He lets out a sigh. He doesn’t want to talk, he just needs you. You’re glad, you don’t know if you have the words. Do the words even exist?
The door creaks open again. A glimmer of soft pink in the darkness, it turns to move away and leave.
“Sit”, you whisper softly.
The figure – so many healing wounds turning to scars now. They shine in the faint trace of moonlight.
He goes to the side of your son, and lays behind him, wrapping his arms around the boy's waist, nuzzling his pink head into the nape of black hair.
You think of Geto.
The heartbreak he would feel at another young generation of sorcerers, the embodiment of the hope you all held – torn apart, obliterated, traumatised. Would the world have been different if you and Satoru had followed him that day? Would lives have been saved? Or would you have lost everyone?
In this reality; you have your boy and his love – curled beside you in the cocoon of warmth and safety you blanket them with. Nails lightly running over the scalp of the head in your lap, he loves that too – just like Satoru.
A baby is out there too. All white hair and eyes like his father. Safe, in your mothers arms. You don’t know where, you can’t know.
This gives you solace.
They are your lifeboats.
Because your ship that kept you afloat has sank, trapped and drowning. Not in an ocean but a god damn fucking box.
You don’t know who will get to shore. You’ll save all that you can. You’re scared of losing, of losing everyone. You’re not weak, you’re a beacon of power and strength – the embodiment of earth’s power and your love could cause earthquakes that shake to the earth's core. But somehow, you feel halved. You are whole, but not complete.
How can you be whole without half of your soul? When that half of your soul lost in a void? When you can’t feel that half of your soul since he was taken from you and trapped in a god damn box.
You and him are meant to be the strongest.
You almost laugh at the thought.
Where I'll be looking in their eyes when they're down
I'll be there on their side
I'm losing by their side
No.
No. No. No.
You can’t falter. You can’t crumble. You will not concede.
This boy, his boy, your baby, your love – you will not lose. You will destroy the world but never let a flame touch them – you will get them all home; you’ll raise your ship from the depths of the void in which he is trapped - you will keep them all safe.
My baby, my baby,
You’re my baby, say it to me

Blessing for No One (JJK HC)
What if when all is said and done after this last chapter (after Sukuna is eventually defeated), Megumi gets sick or hurt and doesn't tell anyone (I hope to God Gojo lives somehow) because "he"/ Sukuna caused so much trouble for everyone and (almost OKAY) killed Gojo. Megumi didn't want to burden anyone because he caused so much pain and suffering, and while recovering deals with the fact that everything was "his" fault, and he feels like he doesn't deserve care/ comfort/ forgiveness. He has nightmares where he's still trapped in his own mind, that Sukuna is still controlling him, and he's forced to watch those he cares about being cut in half/ destroyed/ hurt...

poor yuta :( Probably not fun to not know what’s happening in ur own mind. And poor megumi too, it’s probably also not fun to not know what’s happening in ur own body.
I love your story! Every character is so great, and so are the dynamics between them all :) Thanks for writing it :)
I’ve definitely said this in other places but at risk of sounding like a broken record, Yuuta’s loss of emotional control was partially inspired from when i got Bonked on the head during a bad car crash and lost all control of my emotions for a while. And like. I’m not an emotional person at all. But when I had the head injury, I would break down into violent sobbing over minor inconveniences that I had already resolved. I would react with violent anger against alarms I had personally set. I was a super chill person before it and I would be mentally aware that I was reacting in a way I usually never would and that the emotional response was completely disproportionate but I couldn’t do anything to curb the reaction at all.
It’s honestly kind of freaky and upsetting to lose control in that way, and it’s really hard to kind of reign back your reactions during it. Yuuta’s honestly doing great for what he’s working with, but he’s really trapped in a frightening state with no idea what’s happening or why it’s happening or how to fix it.
Megumis having an awful go of it. He’s in a lot of pain, can barely move, and not very lucid, but he’s figured out that if Shoko could fix him, she would have already. He’s stuck in a half-dream nightmare state and he’s got just enough consciousness to know to be afraid about whether anyone can fix what happened to him. He’s also having a terrible time.
I’m so glad you like the story! Thank you for coming to talk with me!

Not me randomly getting the idea in the middle of Zoom class to draw a one page comic about that plot bunny that I had for months and then proceeding to ignore the rest of my classes in order to draw it. Anyway here it is:
Tumblr media
Basically the idea was that Yuji was trapped in a living nightmare, by some curse that helped out Geto and Mahito. And this is him failing to save his friends(nightmare) from Mahito and Geto. This is him snapping and letting all the intrusive, repulsive, horrible, morbid thoughts (and you know Sukuna the bastard is always sending them to him, so Yuji has A LOT of torture/death methods stored away in his mind) out into reality. And well Sukuna the bored bastard that he is watching all this play out, even egging Yuji on, while knowing full well that they are in a nightmare.
The "I'll show you why I'm Sukuna's vessel" line I got from not knowing what the fuck are the qualifications for someone to become his vessel.
Like is the cursed energy that needs to match?
But like Itadori doesn't have cursed energy at the start.
Is it that Yuji's body is a lot stronger and only he can handle Sukuna without instantly dying?
Maybe, but then what the fuck is Sukunas obsession with Megumi.
Is it the mind, like you need to be mentally strong so Sukuna can chill in your head without you becoming a vegetable or something?
Is also one of the possible criteria.
Or maybe it's something about the soul's shape, like Sukuna might've looked like Yuji when he was human?(And since the body forms around the soul and all that)
Also a possibility.
All of the above?
I don't fucking know so I decided to run with all of them. That's why he is so intimidating when he finally snaps, he is basically mimicking Sukuna and SUCCEEDING! He had Sukuna in his head for (i think) 4 months whispering the most painful, deranged, unhinged, psychotic ways he will torture Yuji and his friends (he had nothing better to do and was bored), while sending him images of said torture and death. (Yeah Yuji is STRESSED, like my boy got a death sentence hanging over his head, a lot of people that want him dead and a lot of trauma that he unlocked when he became a sorcerer, I'm just waiting for him to have a breakdown in cannon, btw I am not even finished with season one of jjk and already the fandom and the hot unhinged character trapped me, I don't think I have much hope for escaping it)
Anyway, welcome to my mind's current fixation.
