Here is the research sketch of another MXTXverse OC x) This one was born from a misunderstanding between my friend and I, when I first explained the context of my idea.

The misunderstanding was that she firstly thought that I wanted to create the child of Hua Cheng and Wei Wuxian xD

We absolutely do not ship this two, but imagining an OC coming from them was too much fun.

So here is Hua Xian (we name him like that for the moment), he is the result of two drunk and curious minds’ experience. He is also Xie Liangxing and Lan Yingyue’s older brother :3

He is wearing a lot of black and silver, it’s not easy to represent… He also has butterflies on his hanfu.

My mdzs oc:

For this oc I've used the nie colours from the live action web series and the timeframe of the novel, since the timeframe of the animation is a little less clear cut, at least on the wiki. (I should clarify, paangoliin on twitter drew this for me as a commission, I'm just outlining the choices I made for my OC's design and background).

Nie Tianbao (courtesy name) he's 28 in the modern timeline. He participated in 1 battle towards the end of the sunshot campaign when he was around 14-15, (for a rule of thumb he's roughly the same age as mo xuanyu). His parents died in the sunshot campaign. He's the son of the cousin of nie mingjue/nie huisang's father, making them second cousins. His mother was a cultivator from the lan sect, she's the one that gave him his sanxian and taught him how to play. His teal sash on his belt is to remember her by.

After the seige of the burial mounds and studying in the cloud recess for half a year, he got into an argument with nie mingjue and left the clan (not long after jie mingjue succumbed to his qi deviation) becoming a rogue/wondering cultivator learning and developing other cultivation techniques and helping more people further away from the reach of the main cultivator clans, this is where he earned his title.

He's currently developing a way to use demonic cultivation on the spirits or undead corpses of beasts instead of humans, he's seen most success with using his sanxian (named jingxian). At the start of Wei wuxian's second life he's come back and nie mingjue has welcomed him as a guest cultivator of the clan for the time being.

He's quietly confident and a calming influence, is very relaxed when interacting with others, though he prides himself on his skill in battle, he's easily embarrassed when teased about his lack of skill with a bow, to make up for it, he uses his weighted chain for great effect. His birth name means crystal, and his courtesy name means maintain the peace, his title can be translated to the kind travelling dragon, a nod to his wondering nature to protect poor folk but his ferocity in fighting fierce corpses. His nandao's name means night mist, blazing Star is the name of his weighted chain and he named his sanxian peaceful chord. He always got along well with nie huisang, they often neglected training with their father and brother to practice the sanxian and practice art respectively. He also frankly, didn't understand the animosity of the cultivation world towards Wei wuxian since he was such a strong ally in the sunshot campaign, he never expressed it out loud however for fear or reproach by other cultivators, especially Jiang Cheng.

Nie Xiulan

A senior member of the Nie Sect. While she was born into a family of slaves, she eventually escaped her former life and became a part of the Nie sect. 

She was close with the former sect leader of the Nie clan, and when he passed away, she was one of the main caretakers for Nie Huaisang and Nie Mingjue. 

As she started cultivating quite late, her golden core is weaker than most. While she still fights, as is typical of a Nie cultivator, she mainly contributes through giving advice to people, and being one of the main parts of their spy network. 

Though most of the cultivators that are a part of the network on the Nie side have been apart of it since they were very young, she managed to gain the trust of the network through being polite and charming, whilst appearing as very genuine. Nowadays, she is a vital part of it.

Hello everyone! Happy Holidays ヾ(•ω•`)o ❤ I drew an icon for the winter so I wanted to share it with you guys! I also included my first attempts haha, I hope you guys enjoy your end-of year!

I'll include some wips under the read more line for design stuff i've been working on for Ghost of Mine and The Wild Plum Tree! So as you all know I've been working on designs for GOM & TWPT and these are what I've gotten done! This first one is a wip of my youth WWX. Some of you that read my fic and see the messages i leave sometimes might have seen it before!

Then the biggest feat I've been trying to get is figuring out my preferred design for Jiang Cheng. I'm pretty satisfied with the progress, but he's still quite difficult for me so only the last one really started to get in the territory i wanted was the last one. I still need to balance this though as its leaning too far into my preferences i think and not enough into the typical style of JC.

So to start, there's the different hair styles i was looking at. I was also experimenting with his body type and the scars, cuz idk exactly how many scars he has, I haven't looked it up（；´д｀）ゞ

Then one of his outfits (for nicer days, not a typical outfit for him). Then another attempt at his typical outfit, which was more towards what I wanted (kind of like the mobile game outfit!) but not quite there.

Then I went back to trying to design his face and eyes again, getting much closer to what I wanted! I still need to adjust it, but this is the closest so far. To get that dark-eyed cat-like look, I decided to sketch his eyes black unless rendering from now on, cuz it brings that look that I want.

Now we move on to Zhu Xiaoyi and Zhu Hui/Xu Shi. They're mdzs OC characters i'm using as extras in TWPT and may also show up in GOM from time to time. Their designs aren't fully fleshed out yet but Adult Xiaoyi is my baby at this point honestly.

Here are research sketch for 2 new OCs, the first Xie LiangXing belongs to my dear friend @hoshikuzu-0w0 and the second Lan YingYue is mine. They are respectively the daughter of Hualian and the daughter of Wangxian. Since we place them in the MXTXverse AU they are best friends, and maybe more 😏

We have a lot of fun thinking and creating them, as for their personalities, their backstories or their abilities, and making them fit in the lores of TGCF and MDZS ^^

It is with a great deal of inner anticipation that I can announce: The next story-relevant point in my OC AU in the Mo Dao Zu Shi universe. Lan Chenwu, who has learned that he is to be married to Wen Zhuliu for political reasons, comes to terms with this after being punished with the Discipline Whip. However, this is not that easy for him. It takes Chenwu a lot of time to even start a conversation with Zhuliu. So much time that he decides to make it less difficult for himself by prohibited drinking. We all know what the alcohol tolerance of many Lan Sect members is like. And Chenwu is no exception, and their first real evening together ends on a correspondingly strange note. Well, at least Zhuliu enjoyed it (a little more than appropriately).
